- 0:01Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and my show is all about
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Valley after Guardians baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Bottom third of the Guardians lineup due in against lefty
- 0:14Speaker 2: Shane Drohan in a 1-1 ball game here in Milwaukee.
- 0:18Speaker 2: It's Stuart Fairchild to lead things off, and he takes
- 0:21Speaker 2: a breaking pitch. Good curve in there for strike one.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Fairchild struck out his first time up back in the second.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Drawing right back to it in his next pitch. Another
- 0:32Speaker 2: breaking ball catches the inside corner for a strike. And
- 0:35Speaker 2: quickly it's 0-2 on back-to-back curveballs. Fairchild's not buying any challenges.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Let's see how this one turns out. And it is
- 0:45Speaker 2: a ball a little bit low. So a good challenge
- 0:48Speaker 2: by Fairchild. As the call is overturned. So 1-1 is
- 0:56Speaker 2: the count on Fairchild. Here's the pitch. Fastball up. And
- 1:04Speaker 2: the count's now 2-1. Fairchild playing in his 10th game
- 1:09Speaker 2: now with Cleveland since being called up from AAA Columbus.
- 1:13Speaker 2: The 2-1. Breaking ball in there for a strike. A
- 1:17Speaker 2: lot of curves here to Fairchild. From the lefty, Shane Drohan.
- 1:28Speaker 2: A little bit extra time outside the box for Fairchild.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Now he's back in there. And the 2-2. Fastball called.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Strike three. Burned it on the inside corner at the knees.
- 1:41Speaker 2: And there's another strikeout for Drohan. His third in the game.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Jim Rosenhouse along with Tom Hamilton. Great to have you
- 1:50Speaker 2: with us for Guardians Baseball today from Milwaukee. On a
- 1:54Speaker 2: beautiful day. Mostly sunny and the roof is half open.
- 1:59Speaker 2: And we say half because they want to keep the
- 2:01Speaker 2: shadows out of play. Khalil Watson, the batter, swings and
- 2:05Speaker 2: misses for strike one. Watson in his major league debut.
- 2:09Speaker 2: First time up, struck out. Left on left situation for him.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Here's the pitch. Swung on and that's drilled to left.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Coming on, making the catch of a sinking line drive
- 2:22Speaker 2: is Churrio, the left fielder. Up Good effort there by
- 2:27Speaker 2: Watson trying to pick up that first major league hit quickly.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But it hung up there for Churio on a solidly
- 2:35Speaker 2: hit line drive. Two quick outs for the Guardians here
- 2:38Speaker 2: in the top of the fourth in a 1-1 game.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Austin hedges the batter. Hedges. Bounced into a fielder's choice
- 2:47Speaker 2: to end the second inning. Right-handed hitting catcher. Open stance.
- 2:52Speaker 2: The pitch to him. He shows bunt. Takes a strike
- 2:54Speaker 2: on the inside corner. Hey, make your favorite players All-Stars.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You can cast your 2026 Konami eBaseball MLB All-Star ballot
- 3:04Speaker 2: daily by visiting MLB.com slash vote. Here's the 0-1. Swing
- 3:10Speaker 2: and a miss. Another good curve from Drohan, who's thrown
- 3:14Speaker 2: quite a few here in the fourth inning. With good success.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Has it bearing in on those right-handed hitters. And Hedges says, whoa, whoa, whoa,
- 3:24Speaker 2: let's slow this down here. It's 0-2 quickly, so he
- 3:27Speaker 2: asks for time. With two down and the base is empty.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Drohan trying to get his defense back at that dugout
- 3:35Speaker 2: in a hurry. Here's his 0-2. Fastball high and away.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And the hard stuff, 93-94, that range from Drohan.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Filling.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Valuable spot in that starting rotation for Milwaukee. The 1-2.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Down low, 2-2. Had some bad news before the game
- 4:00Speaker 2: on Quinn Priester, who had a good year last year,
- 4:04Speaker 2: but it's like he's headed for thoracic outlet surgery. Here's
- 4:11Speaker 2: the 2-2. Swung on, and there's a high fly ball
- 4:14Speaker 2: down the left side. Foul deep down the left side,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and not all that foul, but foul by enough. to
- 4:22Speaker 2: just be a long strike off the bat of Hedges.
- 4:26Speaker 2: So we'll do it again on two and two. Drone
- 4:34Speaker 2: with the pitch. Down low for a ball. Went with
- 4:37Speaker 2: the sinker that time at 94. And the count is
- 4:42Speaker 2: full on Austin Hedges in this one-run game. Each team
- 4:46Speaker 2: with one run, three hits, and no errors. Here comes
- 4:56Speaker 2: the payoff pitch. Swung on, and there's a high pop-up
- 5:01Speaker 2: to right. Shallow. Coming in, Bowers makes the catch. Side
- 5:05Speaker 2: retired in order. We head to the bottom of the fourth.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Guardians 1, Brewers 1 on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Get in the zone, AutoZone.
- 5:15Speaker 5: John always listens to his truck. So when his brakes

- 5:37Speaker 4: Get in the zone, AutoZone.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Deposit required for Lona Tool.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Restrictions apply.
- 5:44Speaker 7: Hey, sports fans. There's no better feeling than when you're
- 5:47Speaker 7: watching your team dominate. But remember, when the offseason comes,
- 5:50Speaker 7: you can still channel your team spirit with a fresh

- 6:12Speaker 2: Bybee into the motion. And the right-hander with the one-two delivery.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Swing and a miss. Back foot slider ate him up.
- 6:21Speaker 2: What a job by Tanner Bybee.
- 6:23Speaker 6: This is Tanner Bybee. You're listening to the Cleveland Clinic
- 6:26Speaker 6: Guardians Radio Network.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Hey, Guardians fans, are you thinking of consolidating your debt
- 6:31Speaker 2: with a home equity loan? With the average homeowner having
- 6:33Speaker 2: over $ 200, 000 of home equity, hit it out of the
- 6:36Speaker 2: park with Union Home Mortgage, the official mortgage partner of
- 6:39Speaker 2: the Cleveland Guardians.
- 6:44Speaker 8: Attention on deck. Calling all Cuyahoga County vets. We are
- 6:48Speaker 8: the Veterans Service Commission, your forward operating base. From VA
- 6:51Speaker 8: claims and financial assistance and more, we got your six.
- 6:55Speaker 8: Visit us today at 3950 Chester Avenue.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It's Ron Furb, and I've got opinions you'll want to hear.
- 7:01Speaker 1: After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Veteran catcher Gary Sanchez leads things off for Milwaukee as
- 7:15Speaker 2: we head to the bottom of the fourth inning. 1-1
- 7:18Speaker 2: the score. Series finale here. Guardians trying to salvage the
- 7:22Speaker 2: finale after dropping the first two. Here's the pitch to Sanchez.
- 7:27Speaker 2: And it's outside for ball one from Parker Messick. Sanchez
- 7:32Speaker 2: in his second go-round with the Brewers. He spent the
- 7:35Speaker 2: 2024 season here. The 1-0. In tight. 2-0. Last season
- 7:44Speaker 2: was with Baltimore, but injuries limited him to just 30 games.
- 7:49Speaker 2: The 2-0. Breaking ball in there for a strike. Good
- 7:53Speaker 2: curve on the inside corner from Parker Messick. Messick's allowed
- 7:57Speaker 2: the one run on three hits. He has struck out four,
- 8:00Speaker 2: walked two. Here's his 2-1. In tight, almost hit him
- 8:06Speaker 2: for ball three. The stuff seems good from Messick. The
- 8:13Speaker 2: command a little bit off, but he's going well. That
- 8:15Speaker 2: command is razor sharp. Here's his 3-1, and that's down
- 8:21Speaker 2: low for ball four. He walks Sanchez to open the inning.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And that's three walks now for Parker Messick. Blake Perkins
- 8:35Speaker 2: will step to the plate. Perkins bounced into a fielder's
- 8:39Speaker 2: choice first time up. Time for our injury report presented
- 8:42Speaker 2: by Elk & Elk. For a team of injury lawyers
- 8:45Speaker 2: dedicated to every client every day, call 1-800-ELK-OHIO. Here's the
- 8:52Speaker 2: pitch to Perkins. He shows bunt, takes a strike on
- 8:54Speaker 2: the inside corner. Good sinker that time for Messick. Now
- 9:00Speaker 2: for the Guardians, well documented now. On the injured list,
- 9:04Speaker 2: Jose Ramirez. M8 bone surgery on his left hand. Angel Martinez.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Non-displaced fracture in his left foot. Both of those guys
- 9:14Speaker 2: out for anywhere from four to six, seven weeks. We'll see.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Chase DeLauder just went on the injured list yesterday with
- 9:23Speaker 2: that hairline fracture in the rib. The 0-1. In tight. 1-1.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Guardians hoping to get Eric Cebrowski back soon. Another good
- 9:34Speaker 2: rehab assignment appearance for him with Akron last night. As
- 9:38Speaker 2: he makes his way back. 1-1 the count. The pitch
- 9:45Speaker 2: to Perkins. Swung on and that's drilled down the left
- 9:48Speaker 2: field line. Fair ball headed toward the corner. In the corner,
- 9:53Speaker 2: Fry digging it out, having some trouble. Sanchez to third,
- 9:56Speaker 2: and they'll hold him there as Fry... had some trouble
- 10:02Speaker 2: with the carom in that left field corner. Had to
- 10:04Speaker 2: go chase it down a little bit further on that
- 10:06Speaker 2: warning track, but Sanchez lumbering to third, and they wisely
- 10:12Speaker 2: held him on the double off the bat of Blake Perkins.
- 10:17Speaker 2: But now, second and third, nobody out, and the Brewers
- 10:20Speaker 2: are at it again. They've only managed one run so
- 10:24Speaker 2: far against Messick, but they have had him in trouble,
- 10:29Speaker 2: especially the last three innings now. And up to the plate,
- 10:33Speaker 2: Cooper Pratt, the rookie. Infield in for the Guardians. Here's
- 10:36Speaker 2: the pitch. Pratt swings, drills it to the left of center.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Long run for Fairchild. He makes the catch. Tagging, heading
- 10:44Speaker 2: for home. Scoring, standing up is Sanchez. And the Brewers
- 10:48Speaker 2: retake the lead 2-1 on the sack fly from Cooper Pratt. Boy,
- 10:56Speaker 2: that's what you like to see from a young hitter.
- 10:58Speaker 2: He had a pitch that he could handle and got
- 11:02Speaker 2: it in play deep enough to score the run. And
- 11:06Speaker 2: he picks up a sack fly. And this young man,
- 11:09Speaker 2: the last two games after making his major league debut
- 11:14Speaker 2: on Tuesday night, he has been impressive Second RBI in
- 11:19Speaker 2: the big leagues for him. Number nine hitter Joey Ortiz
- 11:22Speaker 2: steps in. Leans back from a fastball for ball one.
- 11:27Speaker 2: So runner at second, one down. Ortiz at the plate.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Line to right his first time up. Here's the pitch.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Breaking ball on the outside corner for a strike to
- 11:40Speaker 2: even the count at one and one. That line drive
- 11:44Speaker 2: off the bat of Ortiz back in the second inning.
- 11:46Speaker 2: A great catch was made by the rookie, Khalil Watson,
- 11:50Speaker 2: the right fielder in his Major League debut. Here's the 1-1.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Swung on, looped foul off the netting. First base side.
- 11:58Speaker 2: 1-2 the count on Ortiz. So 2-1 Milwaukee now. And
- 12:06Speaker 2: we'll see if, again, Mesa can limit damage and hold
- 12:10Speaker 2: it at just one run scored here in the fourth inning.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Here comes his one-two pitch. Swing and a miss. Strike three.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Got him to chase a changeup down low. And Ortiz
- 12:26Speaker 2: strikes out. The ball was dropped by Hedges who completes
- 12:29Speaker 2: the strikeout throwing to first. Two down in the inning.
- 12:34Speaker 2: But back to the top of the lineup for the
- 12:36Speaker 2: always tough Christian Yelich. Yelich with a double and a
- 12:42Speaker 2: ground out in two trips. Former National League most valuable player.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Left on left spot here, the pitch to him. Fastball
- 12:55Speaker 2: in there, strike one. Good sinker that time at 94
- 12:59Speaker 2: for Messick, whose velocity is terrific today. We've seen it
- 13:05Speaker 2: as high as 97 when he struck out Jake Bowers
- 13:09Speaker 2: to end last inning. And it's as quick as we've
- 13:13Speaker 2: seen all season from Parker Messick. The left-hander from the stretch.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Here's his 0-1. Fastball. Strike two. Right at the knees
- 13:26Speaker 2: on the inside corner. Perkins, the base runner at second.
- 13:35Speaker 2: With two away here in the bottom of the fourth.
- 13:37Speaker 2: 2-1 Brewers. Here's the 0-2. Upstairs for a ball. Missed
- 13:46Speaker 2: with the fastball. Trying to get him to expand the
- 13:49Speaker 2: zone a little bit. What a day here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- 13:58Speaker 2: 70 degrees at game time. A lot of sunshine. The 1-2.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Fastball up. And it's now 2-2. And with the roof
- 14:08Speaker 2: half open, the shadows have pulled across the entire infield
- 14:12Speaker 2: now with the left fielder, David Fry, the only one
- 14:15Speaker 2: Still in the sunshine. Now the 2-2. Swung on, and
- 14:23Speaker 2: there's a chopper to the first baseman, Hoskins. He'll flip
- 14:26Speaker 2: to Messick covering. Got there just in time on a
- 14:30Speaker 2: close play to retire Yellich and the Brewers. Milwaukee, though,
- 14:34Speaker 2: they add a run and take the lead as we
- 14:36Speaker 2: head to the fifth. It's the Brewers 2, the Guardians 1.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Good work.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Hey, it's Ron Furb.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'm not holding back, ever, after Guardians baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Travis Pisana at the top of the Guardians lineup leads
- 14:54Speaker 2: it off in the fifth, and he takes a strike
- 14:56Speaker 2: on the inside corner from Shane Drohan. A starter for
- 15:00Speaker 2: the Brewers. A couple of times the Guardians have had
- 15:03Speaker 2: him on the ropes, but just the one run so far,
- 15:07Speaker 2: it's a two-to-one ballgame. Brewers in front. Here's the pitch.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Breaking ball strike on the inside corner and quickly it's 0-2.
- 15:17Speaker 2: If the Brewers call the Red Sox for a trade,
- 15:19Speaker 2: do the Red Sox hang up the phone now? This
- 15:24Speaker 2: guy coming over from Boston. The 0-2. Breaking ball down low. 1-2.
- 15:31Speaker 2: That's the kind of trade that can get you fired.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Three steady contributors and in some cases better than that
- 15:39Speaker 2: for the Brewers. in that trade. The 1-2 swung on,
- 15:44Speaker 2: fouled back into the net. Kyle Harrison having a terrific
- 15:49Speaker 2: year on the mound for Boston. That was a surprising one, Rose.
- 15:54Speaker 2: They just got Harrison as the centerpiece in the Rafi
- 15:58Speaker 2: Devers trade. Here's the 1-2. Just missed low and outside. Yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 2: usually a team would want to hang on to someone
- 16:10Speaker 2: like that to to make the trade look better. But
- 16:15Speaker 2: Boston flipped him to Milwaukee. The 2-2 swung on, pulled
- 16:19Speaker 2: foul and out of play. And Milwaukee, we've seen it
- 16:23Speaker 2: with Cleveland at times, they'll get a pitcher from another organization,
- 16:27Speaker 2: make an adjustment or two that really clicks, and then
- 16:30Speaker 2: you have something. Man, the Brewers have something with Harrison.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Now the 2-2 from Drohan. Fastball called. Strike three on
- 16:43Speaker 2: the outside corner. Bazana doesn't like it, and he challenges.
- 16:48Speaker 2: So let's see if his at-bat lives. Morbid goes the
- 16:52Speaker 2: other way. Here it comes on the ABS. Ball outside
- 16:56Speaker 2: and low. So good challenge by Travis Bazana to keep
- 17:00Speaker 2: the at-bat alive. Guardians still with both of their ABS
- 17:08Speaker 2: challenges at this point. So the count's 3-2 on Bazana.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Here's the pitch. Low and outside. Ball four. Bazana draws
- 17:19Speaker 2: the walk. And when he first came up, he was
- 17:24Speaker 2: walking a lot. Lately, not as much. But that's a
- 17:29Speaker 2: big part of his game, that patience and getting on base. Well,
- 17:32Speaker 2: especially if you're the leadoff hitter. But again, we're talking
- 17:37Speaker 2: about a kid. First go-round in the big leagues. I
- 17:41Speaker 2: think it's remarkable what Bozzana, De Lauder, and Messick have
- 17:45Speaker 2: done as rookies. Here's David Fry. A homer his first
- 17:49Speaker 2: time up, and he swings and misses for a strike.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Should say his last time up. 0-1-1 the count on Fry.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Be hard to imagine three better rookies for a first-place
- 18:03Speaker 2: ball club in recent memory. Here's the 0-1. Strike called
- 18:10Speaker 2: on the inside corner. Quickly 0-2. And Rosie, we're seeing
- 18:14Speaker 2: the Khalil Watson debut. Daniel Espino last night. We're going
- 18:19Speaker 2: to see more debuts. Here comes the 0-2. Vazana dancing
- 18:29Speaker 2: around over there at first. And the pitch is in
- 18:31Speaker 2: tight for a ball.
- 18:32Speaker 5: 1-2.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Now, if we set it as far back as spring training,
- 18:36Speaker 2: it seems like the position player-wise, especially the upper levels
- 18:40Speaker 2: of the farm system, is strong as it's been in
- 18:43Speaker 2: a while. Here comes the 1-2. Nope. Throw to first back. Safe, please, Pisano.
- 18:51Speaker 2: The Gomez kid is coming back, pitching soon in Columbus.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Justin Campbell has had a big year in AA. They'll
- 18:59Speaker 2: be careful with him coming off Tommy Johns. Here comes
- 19:06Speaker 2: the 1-2 delivery. Nope, throw to first, they have him
- 19:09Speaker 2: picked off. Vaughn, now the first baseman, throws down to
- 19:12Speaker 2: the second base bag, and he's tagged out by the shortstop, Pratt. Vazana,
- 19:17Speaker 2: he was itching to go, and he finally did, but
- 19:20Speaker 2: he's picked off by Drohan. Rosie, that's where the base runner, Vazana,
- 19:26Speaker 2: is just hopping up and down over at first, and
- 19:30Speaker 2: he kind of got caught in mid-hop. see it from
- 19:35Speaker 2: a lot of base runners now throughout baseball, not just
- 19:38Speaker 2: with the Guardians, but that time it did not work.
- 19:44Speaker 2: The pitch to Fry, a 1-2 outside for a ball. So,
- 19:55Speaker 2: Pazana picked off at first base. One down. Base is
- 19:58Speaker 2: empty for Fry. Guardians down by a run. The 2-2.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Swung on. Popped him up. Foul ground. First base side.
- 20:06Speaker 2: A courtesy look by Vaughn. The first baseman runs out
- 20:10Speaker 2: of room. It's back behind the dugout. So 2-2 the
- 20:16Speaker 2: count on David Fry. That home run back in the third.
- 20:20Speaker 2: His fourth on the season. Playing a little bit more
- 20:24Speaker 2: now and having some decent success here in the month
- 20:27Speaker 2: of June. The 2-2 delivery. Swung on and there's a
- 20:36Speaker 2: high pop-up shallow right center. cutting across as Bowers, the
- 20:40Speaker 2: right fielder, makes the catch in front of the center fielder, Perkins.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Usually that's the center fielder's ball, but Bowers got over there,
- 20:50Speaker 2: make the play. Time for today's Cleveland Clinic caregiver shout-out.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Want to say hello and big thanks to the caregivers
- 20:58Speaker 2: at Lorraine Family Health Center for everything they do to
- 21:01Speaker 2: care for patients and families. Lorraine Family Health Center. Here's
- 21:08Speaker 2: Brian Rocchio with a pitch to him. Fastball in there
- 21:11Speaker 2: for a strike. Guardians trailing by a run here in
- 21:16Speaker 2: the fifth. Can they get out of Milwaukee with a win?
- 21:19Speaker 2: That has been a major challenge. Here's the 0-1. Swung on.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Fouled off. They played them well in Cleveland a year ago.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Took two out of three. And that was at a
- 21:33Speaker 2: time when the Brewers, they left in mid-May. They left
- 21:35Speaker 2: Cleveland three games under the 500 mark. And they ended
- 21:39Speaker 2: up winning more games than any team in baseball in
- 21:41Speaker 2: the regular season. Here's the 0-2. Swung on, and there's
- 21:49Speaker 2: a high fly ball to center. Way up there, but
- 21:52Speaker 2: an easy play for Perkins, the center fielder. He makes
- 21:55Speaker 2: the catch. Side retired. We head to the bottom of
- 21:58Speaker 2: the fifth. 2-1 Brewers over the Guardians.
- 22:01Speaker 9: Spend your summer Fridays at Progressive Field. The guards take
- 22:04Speaker 9: on the Mariners on June 26th. Start your night with

- 23:50Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Furb. Big stories, big opinions. After Guardians
- 23:54Speaker 1: Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Guardians trailing 2-1. Parker Messick back to work for Cleveland.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Bottom of the fifth. And he starts it with a
- 24:07Speaker 2: breaking ball. Strike to Jackson Churio. Who's 0-2. He's bounced
- 24:12Speaker 2: to second and struck out. Guardians have done a decent
- 24:15Speaker 2: job on Churio in this series. Just one hit. As
- 24:19Speaker 2: he takes a pitch down low for a ball. Now
- 24:21Speaker 2: that was a home run in last night's game. That
- 24:25Speaker 2: came at a key time as the Guardians are trying
- 24:28Speaker 2: to get back in it. Here's the 1-1. Fastball up 2-1.
- 24:35Speaker 2: And his home run made it a 7-4 game instead
- 24:40Speaker 2: of a 5-4 game. And the Brewers were on their
- 24:43Speaker 2: way to the win. The 2-1. Swung on, fouled off
- 24:46Speaker 2: at home plate. Got a piece of either Austin Hedges
- 24:50Speaker 2: or the umpire. Both seem okay. And the count's now
- 24:55Speaker 2: 2-2 on Churrio. We are... At American Family Field, I
- 25:03Speaker 2: was going to say half indoors because the roof is
- 25:06Speaker 2: halfway closed. Here comes the 2-2. Swing and a miss.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Strike three. More good heat from Parker Messick at 96
- 25:18Speaker 2: to Fan Churio for the first out in the inning.
- 25:22Speaker 2: It's almost like they, and there's a reason that, especially
- 25:26Speaker 2: early in the game, they wanted to keep the shadows
- 25:28Speaker 2: uniform and help out the hitters a little bit, but
- 25:31Speaker 2: It almost looked like they started and someone hit the
- 25:35Speaker 2: switch by mistake and left the roof half closed. Out
- 25:39Speaker 2: of the plate is Bryce Terang, and he takes a
- 25:41Speaker 2: pitch outside for a ball. But again, on a bright,
- 25:46Speaker 2: sunny day, it really helped with the shadow situation for
- 25:50Speaker 2: the batters. Here's the 1-0. Swing and a miss. And
- 25:54Speaker 2: it counts now 1-1. It seems like Messick has as
- 25:59Speaker 2: good a life on his fastball today as he's had
- 26:01Speaker 2: all season. Certainly his best feel. Yeah. Here's the 1-1.
- 26:07Speaker 2: On the outside corner for a strike. As a rookie,
- 26:12Speaker 2: I know there are some concerns about workload and how
- 26:15Speaker 2: he'll handle the entire schedule. But, man, he seems to
- 26:21Speaker 2: work extremely hard between starts to make sure he's ready
- 26:23Speaker 2: to go. Here's the 1-2.
- 26:26Speaker 5: 1-2.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Down low, two and two. One out. Base is empty.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Here's his 2-2 to Terang. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Again,
- 26:44Speaker 2: 96 with that four-seam fastball. Another strikeout for Messick, his seventh.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And Andrew Vaughn will step in. Been up twice, walked twice.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Last time intentional. Right-handed hitter. Having another good season with
- 27:07Speaker 2: the Brewers. Here's the pitch. And he swings and lines
- 27:10Speaker 2: it to right. Watson's right there. Makes the catch. Quick
- 27:14Speaker 2: inning for Parker Messick. Gets his team back in the dugout.
- 27:17Speaker 2: And we'll head to the sixth. Milwaukee 2, the Guardians 1.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 27:28Speaker 1: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Well, the Brewers are going to go to their bullpen.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And a chance to win it for Shane Troen. Up
- 27:46Speaker 2: to the Brewer pen now. 2-1 Milwaukee, 6th inning. The right-hander,
- 27:50Speaker 2: Joel Kuhnel, delivers down and away. Ball one. Therese Hoskins.
- 27:56Speaker 2: So good outing for Drohan. Five innings. Gave up a
- 28:00Speaker 2: run on three hits. Struck out three. Walked three. Hit
- 28:03Speaker 2: a batter. David Frye's homer to left center. The only
- 28:07Speaker 2: Cleveland run. Hoskins swings and misses. And they count one
- 28:14Speaker 2: and one. Kuhnel, second appearance in the series. Mid-90s fastball. Sinker, cutter, curve, slider, change.
- 28:24Speaker 2: He deals. Check swing. Did he go? Pitched down and away.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He went. Said the first base up, Will Little. And
- 28:32Speaker 2: a 1-2 count. Brewers runs coming. RBI single, Gary Sanchez.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Sack fly, Cooper Pratt. Now the 1-2. Down low, 2-2.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Kuhnel has spent the year with the Athletics and now Milwaukee.
- 28:51Speaker 2: 30th appearance, a win, four saves, all with the Athletics.
- 28:56Speaker 2: 434 ERA. The pitch. Up and in. Almost nicked him.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Full count. Tom Hamilton back with you along with Jim Rosenhaus,
- 29:12Speaker 2: Brian Motze. Also having our booth, Ryan Elliott. Roof is open,
- 29:23Speaker 2: a beautiful 70 degrees in Milwaukee. The pitch, swung on,
- 29:27Speaker 2: broken bat, flared toward left, but caught in shallow left
- 29:31Speaker 2: by the shortstop Pratt. One down. Well, the Columbus Clippers
- 29:36Speaker 2: have already played their game. What a game! for Cooper Engel.
- 29:43Speaker 2: This guy hit three home runs today, and you wonder
- 29:46Speaker 2: how long it's going to be before Cooper Engel and
- 29:51Speaker 2: his bat force their way to Cleveland. Now Kyle Manzardo,
- 30:00Speaker 2: hit by a pitch, ground out. He takes outside a ball.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Cooper Engel today had three home runs. Went four for four,
- 30:10Speaker 2: four RBIs, batting. 304 with an OPS of over 1,000.
- 30:15Speaker 2: The pitch. Check swing, strike called. Problem is, Cooper Engel,
- 30:24Speaker 2: where do you play him? Today he caught it. Columbus
- 30:29Speaker 2: has had him take some turns in left field. Now
- 30:35Speaker 2: the 1-1. Swung on. This is line. Deep right field.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Back is Bowers. It is gone! And we are tied
- 30:44Speaker 2: at 2. Kyle Manzardo, a line drive home run to right.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Number 8 for Kyle Manzardo. And Cleveland's come back for
- 30:55Speaker 2: the second time today to tie it It's a 2-2
- 30:59Speaker 2: ball game here in the sixth. And that'll bring up
- 31:03Speaker 2: Gabriel Arias. One for two with a single. Columbus was
- 31:10Speaker 2: a 7-5 winner today. Engel four for four. Four RBIs.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Three home runs. Ralphie Velasquez two hits. Angel Henao three hits.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Swing and a foul upstairs. And those are Three names, Engel, Velasquez,
- 31:32Speaker 2: and Hanau, that could potentially be here in Cleveland at
- 31:38Speaker 2: some point here in 2026. The pitch, up and in.
- 31:44Speaker 2: And the guy that's almost unhittable right now, Franco Aleman,
- 31:48Speaker 2: got his seventh save. He now has an earned run
- 31:52Speaker 2: average of 0.39.
- 31:53Speaker 13: Nine.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Now the 1-1. Swung on a chopper up the middle.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Two is left. Gloved by Pratt. Sets. Fires. Got him.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Arias out number two. Shortstop Cooper Pratt. Making the play here.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Stuart Fairchild. And Fairchild being lifted for a pinch hitter
- 32:19Speaker 2: after striking out both times. Stephen Kwan is on to
- 32:24Speaker 2: pinch hit. And Kwan will stay in the ballgame. 2-2 ballgame.
- 32:35Speaker 2: We are in the sixth inning. Two down, nobody on.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Stephen Kwan still looking for that hot spurt. Now a
- 32:46Speaker 2: batting average of 2-0-9. That is hard to fathom. The pitch,
- 32:51Speaker 2: and it's outside a ball. Stephen Kwan, a lifetime 2-81 hitter.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Batting 2-0-9. The 1-0. And he fouled it off. And
- 33:09Speaker 2: they count 1-1. Kwon had 11 homers last year. Won
- 33:16Speaker 2: this season. And for Cleveland to survive the loss of Ramirez, Martinez,
- 33:28Speaker 2: and DeLauder, they need Stephen Kwon to get back to
- 33:32Speaker 2: All-Star Stephen Kwan. The right-hander, Jeff, I beg your pardon,
- 33:39Speaker 2: Joel Kuhnel, delivers high. Two balls and a strike. 2-2
- 33:45Speaker 2: ballgame in front of another big crowd here in Milwaukee.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Down the pitch. Outside. Missed with it. Three balls and
- 34:04Speaker 2: a strike. Stephen Kwan still has seven more walks than strikeouts.
- 34:16Speaker 2: And that's a rarity anymore. The pitch to him. And
- 34:19Speaker 2: he pops it foul. Back and out of play. 3-1
- 34:22Speaker 2: the count. When you've got rust to bust, use PB Blaster.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Cleveland original since 1957. DB Blaster always working like a pro.
- 34:38Speaker 2: The payoff. Down low and he's drawn a walk as
- 34:41Speaker 2: a pinch hitter. So Kwon heads to first and Khalil
- 34:45Speaker 2: Watson 0 for 2 in his Major League debut. But
- 34:50Speaker 2: a great diving catch that saved two runs from scoring
- 34:55Speaker 2: back in the second inning. Left-handed hitter in right field.
- 35:02Speaker 2: And Watson's going to play a lot, especially the next
- 35:06Speaker 2: three games. Houston starts a right-hander all three nights. Now
- 35:11Speaker 2: the pitch, and it's a bit wide. Ball one. Last year,
- 35:16Speaker 2: Khalil Watson in double-A and triple-A had 16 homers, and
- 35:22Speaker 2: then 12 this year in Columbus before being called up.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Now the 1-0. Outside ball two, 2-0. Drafted in the
- 35:37Speaker 2: first round, a North Carolina high school star that would
- 35:43Speaker 2: have gone to North Carolina State had he not signed
- 35:46Speaker 2: with Miami. Now the 2-0. Swung on a ground ball,
- 35:51Speaker 2: headed to the second baseman. Terang throws him out. But
- 35:55Speaker 2: Kyle Manzardo ties it at two. It's the middle of
- 35:58Speaker 2: the sixth here in the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network. Medical

- 37:51Speaker 1: that actually matter after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Well, for those of you on the edge of your seat,
- 38:01Speaker 2: the great Johnsonville sausage race has been completed. 2-2 game,
- 38:06Speaker 2: sixth inning, Jake Bowers fouling it back, strike one, Stephen
- 38:10Speaker 2: Kwan now in center. The Polish sausage running away from
- 38:16Speaker 2: the other four links. Now the kick and the 0-1.
- 38:23Speaker 2: And it's in there. And on the tote board, Rosie's
- 38:28Speaker 2: consumption of Johnsonville bratwurst in this three-day stay in Milwaukee.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Pitch down and away. One ball, two strikes. Getting close
- 38:41Speaker 2: to double digits. Very proud of you. Any recommendations for
- 38:45Speaker 2: a bratwurst detox? The clinic? That pitch in the dirt, 2-2.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Rosie's the only guy now in the ER Cleveland Clinic.
- 38:58Speaker 2: A detox from too many Johnsonville Broadwurst. Now the kick
- 39:06Speaker 2: and the 2-2. Swing and a foul back will do
- 39:09Speaker 2: it again at 2-2. No blood work for two months
- 39:12Speaker 2: to let that calm down. Go to our favorite... Family doctor, Dr. Kamatow,
- 39:20Speaker 2: and have him check your blood work. The pitch, strike!
- 39:26Speaker 2: Three called out looking as Jake Bowers they are delicious
- 39:31Speaker 2: though well you would know which one was your favorite
- 39:35Speaker 2: since there wasn't one you didn't try you know the
- 39:42Speaker 2: chorizo is not bad no yeah okay not too hot
- 39:46Speaker 2: no Here's Gary Sanchez, RBI single and a walk. And
- 39:52Speaker 2: it's in there, a strike. Now the sausage races. One
- 39:55Speaker 2: of the best races we have in the game for
- 39:59Speaker 2: between innings. The one in D.C. is funny. The presidents
- 40:02Speaker 2: that run that pitch in there are called strike. And
- 40:06Speaker 2: they count.
- 40:07Speaker 6: 0 and 2.
- 40:09Speaker 2: Oh, we're getting a challenge by Gary Sanchez on that
- 40:13Speaker 2: strike call. Is it 0-2 or 1-1? It's 0-2. Gary
- 40:19Speaker 2: Sanchez loses out. The Athletics used to have one with
- 40:23Speaker 2: some of their old-time stars. Hall of Famers. How do
- 40:26Speaker 2: you not have Ricky Henderson win every time? Now the
- 40:32Speaker 2: 0-2 pitch. High and wide, 1-2. So that sounds like
- 40:39Speaker 2: you're claiming that these races are staged. They might be. Wow.
- 40:45Speaker 2: There's a chance. Fraudulence. The pitch swung on. Smashed to short.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Back in at pick Rokio. Fires to first and gets
- 40:54Speaker 2: Sanchez after spinning around in shallow left. Oh, a BB
- 41:00Speaker 2: that he played on the short hop with a backhand.
- 41:04Speaker 2: And then spinning around in shallow left to throw out
- 41:08Speaker 2: Gary Sanchez who gets robbed of a base hit. Two down.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Game tied at two. We're in the sixth inning. Blake
- 41:17Speaker 2: Perkins will bat right-handed. One for two with a double.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Now the kick and delivery. And it's in there.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Strike.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Messick seems to be getting stronger. He has struck out
- 41:37Speaker 2: eight today. We're in the sixth inning. The pitch. Backdoor
- 41:44Speaker 2: curve stayed on the porch. One ball, one strike. Messick
- 41:51Speaker 2: now at 94 pitches. He delivers. And it's fouled upstairs,
- 41:57Speaker 2: a ball and two strikes. Now the windup and the one-two.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Got him swinging. Parker Messick will finish with 96 pitches today.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Gives Cleveland six strong innings, striking out nine. We've got
- 42:25Speaker 2: a 2-2 game heading to the seventh.
- 42:28Speaker 6: Brady and the Ad Council.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Hey, it's Ron Verb.
- 42:32Speaker 1: I'm saying what everyone else won't after Guardians Baseball on
- 42:35Speaker 1: 570 WKBN.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Milwaukee ranked 4th in all of Major League Baseball in pitching.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Cleveland ranked 6th. And what would you expect but a
- 42:49Speaker 2: white knuckler. 2-2 ballgame as we head to the 7th inning.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Milwaukee beat Cleveland Tuesday night 2-1. Right-hander Grant Anderson coming
- 43:05Speaker 2: on to pitch. Fastball sinker, breaking ball change. Joel Kuhnel,
- 43:10Speaker 2: when an inning, gave up a run on a hit.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Anderson's pitch, catcher Austin Hedges checks on a breaking ball
- 43:16Speaker 2: away and went around on the appeal at first. Hedges
- 43:20Speaker 2: shaking his head, looking down at first base up Will
- 43:23Speaker 2: Little in disbelief, and then Will Little flips his hands
- 43:28Speaker 2: up in the air like, what did you want me
- 43:29Speaker 2: to call? Well, a hint, Will. It wasn't that.
- 43:34Speaker 8: Whew.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Normally, you don't see an umpire respond like that. We're
- 43:41Speaker 2: getting a replay of the check swing. And again, these
- 43:44Speaker 2: check swings usually are a flip of the coin. They
- 43:47Speaker 2: could go either way. Now the 0-1, and it's in there, 0-2. Anderson, a.
- 43:55Speaker 2: 267 ERA in 28 outings. Not a strikeout guy, but
- 44:01Speaker 2: nobody hits him. Banning average against him,. 186. The pitch.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Breaking ball just a tick outside. One ball, two strikes.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Cleveland with a solo homer to left center by David Fry.
- 44:19Speaker 2: And one to right field by Kyle Manzardo. 2-2 game.
- 44:23Speaker 2: The pitch. Outside a breaking ball. Cleveland now in the
- 44:33Speaker 2: three games... has had a grand total of 11 hits.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Now the 2-2, way outside of the backstop. And again,
- 44:45Speaker 2: this is not a shock. One, Milwaukee's pitching staff, we
- 44:50Speaker 2: just said, ranked fourth in all of baseball in Cleveland,
- 44:58Speaker 2: playing for the first time this week without Jose Ramirez,
- 45:03Speaker 2: Anil Martinez, Chase DeLauder. The pitch, and it's strike three called.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Hedges knew it. Let's take 10 seconds for a station
- 45:13Speaker 2: ID on the Cleveland Clinic radio network.
- 45:16Speaker 9: From the Money Talks investment coach, John Arnold Studios, this
- 45:20Speaker 9: is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station, guaranteed human.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Tom Hamilton with you. Roof open on a 70-degree day
- 45:32Speaker 2: in Milwaukee with Jim Rosenhaus, Ryan Elliott, Brian Motze. 2-2
- 45:37Speaker 2: in the seventh. Travis Bozzana takes a backdoor breaking ball
- 45:42Speaker 2: down low. Bozzana 0-2 in the walk. The 1-0. And
- 45:56Speaker 2: he drives one to deep right field.
- 45:59Speaker 8: Away, back and gone.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Into the second deck. A line drive missile. And Travis
- 46:08Speaker 2: Pisano with his fifth Major League home run has put
- 46:12Speaker 2: Cleveland on top 3-2 here in inning number seven. Oh,
- 46:19Speaker 2: did he drill that ball into the second deck and right.
- 46:26Speaker 2: And Cleveland, with its third solo home run today, has
- 46:31Speaker 2: its first lead. And here comes pinch hitter Daniel Schneeman,
- 46:37Speaker 2: and here comes Milwaukee pitching coach Chris Hook. So the
- 46:43Speaker 2: Cleveland Guardians have taken the lead here, 3-2, and for Cleveland,
- 46:51Speaker 2: This is the first time this entire three-game series that
- 46:57Speaker 2: they have had the lead. Well, on the Northeast Ohio
- 47:02Speaker 2: Ford dealer scoreboard, Minnesota beating up Texas 6-0 in the fourth.
- 47:10Speaker 2: There's actually a final. Toronto got by Boston 4-3. And
- 47:17Speaker 2: San Francisco and Atlanta... rained out in Georgia, and that's
- 47:22Speaker 2: a byproduct of that tropical storm, and that's where Milwaukee
- 47:26Speaker 2: is headed. Cleveland's headed to Houston. David Fry lifted for
- 47:32Speaker 2: Daniel Schneeman. Schneeman takes outside a ball off the glove
- 47:38Speaker 2: of Sanchez. Schneeman had the grand slam last night. The pitch.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Back door. Outside again.
- 47:57Speaker 8: 2-0.
- 47:57Speaker 2: 3-2 Cleveland. 7th inning. And a hushed American family field.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Pitch is wide. 3-0. And another huge crowd. The biggest
- 48:18Speaker 2: of the series. 36,386. The pitch. In there. Three balls
- 48:31Speaker 2: and a strike. David Fry, before being lifted, had walked
- 48:39Speaker 2: solo homer and a fly out. The next offering, outside
- 48:44Speaker 2: he walked him. So Grant Anderson's come in here, giving
- 48:48Speaker 2: up the bomb. Now the walk. Brian Rocchio to the plate.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Switch hitter. Batting left-handed. Brian Rocchio hitting third. He's never
- 49:05Speaker 2: done it in his life at any level until last night. Today,
- 49:11Speaker 2: one for three with a bloop single. The pitch. Backdoor
- 49:17Speaker 2: breaking ball again. Outside, ball one. Sanchez trying to pull
- 49:21Speaker 2: it over the plate, but not fooling anybody. The next pitch.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Swung on. Lifted foul. Third base side. This will nestle
- 49:40Speaker 2: down below. And they count one ball, one strike. Grant Anderson.
- 49:59Speaker 2: He's ready. Here it comes. To first and back with
- 50:05Speaker 2: a dive is Schneemann. Anderson the high hold and delivery.
- 50:24Speaker 2: And it's up and in. Snap throw back to first
- 50:26Speaker 2: and almost picked off Schneeman. What a throw by Sanchez
- 50:31Speaker 2: from his knees. With a left-handed batter blocking his view
- 50:36Speaker 2: of first. And he made a great throw and nearly
- 50:39Speaker 2: got Schneeman. Not much of a lead for Daniel Schneeman.
- 50:44Speaker 2: One out, one on. Cleveland up 3-2 in the 7th
- 50:47Speaker 2: to pitch. And it's a little bit low and Anderson
- 50:51Speaker 2: really struggling to throw strikes. And now Sanchez will challenge
- 50:56Speaker 2: that call. Will the count be 3-1 or change to 2-2?
- 51:01Speaker 2: It'll be 3-1. Milwaukee now out of challenges for the
- 51:07Speaker 2: rest of the game. That one seemed a little strange
- 51:10Speaker 2: to challenge. It really wasn't very close. Grant Anderson. Long
- 51:21Speaker 2: look in. He's made 17 pitches. Only 6 strikes. He fires.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Runner goes. Pitch outside. He walked him. Now his day
- 51:31Speaker 2: may be coming to an end. Back to back walks
- 51:34Speaker 2: after the home run. And here's Reese Hoskins. Boy would
- 51:45Speaker 2: he love to come back to Milwaukee and get A
- 51:50Speaker 2: hit that would blow this game open. Righty-righty matchup. The
- 52:04Speaker 2: pitch in there called strike. Schneeman at second. Rocchio at first.
- 52:14Speaker 2: One out. Cleveland with a 3-2 lead. They're first in
- 52:17Speaker 2: the series. Top of the seventh inning. The next offering.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Swung on, fouled back, and out of play.
- 52:26Speaker 3: 0-2.
- 52:28Speaker 2: This is where Cleveland has just really struggled to kind
- 52:32Speaker 2: of deliver a knockout punch, separate a game. Today with
- 52:38Speaker 2: men in scoring position, Cleveland 0-4-5. Now the 0-2. Swung on.
- 52:48Speaker 2: This is hit high in the air to shallow left.
- 52:51Speaker 2: The shortstop, Cooper Pratt, infield fly rule called. Two down.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Now Kyle Manzardo, the batter. Two out, two on. He
- 53:01Speaker 2: slugged a homer to right. Last inning, that tied the
- 53:05Speaker 2: game at two. Travis Bozzano's home run this inning putting
- 53:09Speaker 2: Cleveland up. And the Brewers will make a pitching change
- 53:12Speaker 2: to go left on left. Call to the bullpen presented
- 53:16Speaker 2: by Spartan Storm Shield, the roof system to last your lifetime.

- 54:32Speaker 17: Recently, our company's softball team lost the big game by
- 54:35Speaker 17: one run. Then Dale tried to console us with the quote,
- 54:38Speaker 17: winning isn't everything.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Dale's a loser.
- 54:41Speaker 17: I play to win, like early payout from Bet365. If
- 54:45Speaker 17: my team goes up big, I get paid out instantly,
- 54:48Speaker 17: even if they blow the lead later. Sound familiar, Dale?
- 54:52Speaker 15: Bet365.
- 54:53Speaker 4: Winning is everything. Gambling problem?
- 54:56Speaker 17: Call 1-800-MY-RESET. 21 plus only. Must be physically located in Ohio.
- 54:59Speaker 17: TNCs apply.
- 55:00Speaker 4: In-app only.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and my show is all about
- 55:03Speaker 1: the Valley, after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 55:11Speaker 2: Left-hander Drew Rahm is coming on for Milwaukee. Cleveland taking
- 55:16Speaker 2: the lead here in the 7-3-2 on Travis Bozana's solo
- 55:20Speaker 2: homer to the second deck in right. Rahm is a left-hander,
- 55:25Speaker 2: not a hard thrower, low 90s, fastball sinker, breaking ball,
- 55:29Speaker 2: split finger. Basically missed all of the last two years
- 55:35Speaker 2: with shoulder surgery, a forearm issue. Now left on left
- 55:42Speaker 2: against Kyle Manzardo. Rahm's pitch, and it's waved at. Strike one.
- 55:48Speaker 2: This year, Rahm, most of it the minors, fourth appearance
- 55:53Speaker 2: with Milwaukee. He's given up two runs in four innings.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Schneeman at second, Rocchio at first, two down in the seventh.
- 56:03Speaker 2: The pitch, outside, a breaking ball, one and one. Cleveland
- 56:09Speaker 2: looking for that hit that separates a game. In this series,
- 56:13Speaker 2: with men in scoring position, Cleveland two for 21. Now
- 56:20Speaker 2: the one-one. Breaking ball down and away, ball two, two
- 56:26Speaker 2: and one. This is about as quiet as this ballpark
- 56:38Speaker 2: has been all week. The 2-1 pitch. Down and away, 3-1.
- 56:47Speaker 2: Gabriel Arias on deck. Rahm sets. He fires. And it's
- 57:07Speaker 2: in there a strike. Sinking fastball, 93 miles per hour.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Full count. So Schneeman and Rocchio will be off with
- 57:17Speaker 2: the pitch. Here it comes. Ball four in the dirt.
- 57:28Speaker 2: Third walk in the inning. Bases loaded for Gabriel Arias.
- 57:34Speaker 2: One for three with a single. Milwaukee, uncharacteristically, has walked
- 57:41Speaker 2: seven today. They haven't paid a price yet. Cleveland's three
- 57:45Speaker 2: runs on the solo homers from David Fry, Travis Pazana,
- 57:50Speaker 2: Kyle Manzardo. Bases loaded, two down, 3-2 Cleveland. Seventh inning,
- 57:56Speaker 2: the pitch. In the dirt, kicked away from Sanchez to
- 58:00Speaker 2: the backstop. Huge run scores. Daniel Schneemann crossing home plate.
- 58:06Speaker 2: Rocio to third, Manzardo to second on the wild pitch.
- 58:11Speaker 2: And this is really the first time this series we've
- 58:14Speaker 2: seen Milwaukee kind of beat themselves with the walks. Now
- 58:20Speaker 2: the wild pitch. Cleveland now with a 4-2 lead. Second
- 58:25Speaker 2: and third. With two down. The next offering. Swing and
- 58:33Speaker 2: a miss. One ball, one strike. Rahm is ready. Here
- 58:49Speaker 2: it comes. At the knees, a called strike. One ball,
- 58:56Speaker 2: two strikes. 4-2 Cleveland, second and third, two down. We're
- 59:03Speaker 2: in the seventh inning. The pitch, fouled it back. And
- 59:12Speaker 2: with Milwaukee's firepower, two-run lead isn't much. Finally, Cleveland's got
- 59:22Speaker 2: an opportunity to use Kate Smith today. Rahm is ready.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Here it comes. And he got him swinging. Arias strikes
- 59:35Speaker 2: out to end it. Hosannas-Homer gave Cleveland the lead. A
- 59:39Speaker 2: wild pitch led to an insurance run. Stretch time in Wisconsin.
- 59:45Speaker 2: 4-2 Cleveland.
- 59:48Speaker 8: Hey, you mind keeping it down up there, please?

- 1:01:33Speaker 1: It's Ron Ferb, and I've got opinions you'll want to
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: hear after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: Left-hander Tim Herron coming on to pitch for Cleveland. Cleveland
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: with a 4-2 lead. It's first lead in this series.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Stephen Kwan now in left field. Daniel Schneeman is in center.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Heron fastball sinker curve slider. Rookie Cooper Pratt takes way
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: high and outside a ball. Heron has had some walk issues.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: 15 and 24 innings. But a. 292 ERA in 31 outings.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: He delivers. Outside ball two. The way the ball jumps
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: out of here, you cannot afford to put men on
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: base with walks late in a game. Heron lets it fly.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: In there. Two and one. First appearance for Will Heron,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: so he hasn't worked in this series. Cade Smith hasn't worked.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: In this series. The pitch. Outside. Three and one. This
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: might be. A game of importance. From the standpoint that
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: manager Stephen Vogt might look for. A multi-inning save. From
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Cade Smith. Certain games. Are bigger than others. In the
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: regular season. This is one of them. Three one. Way outside,
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: he walked him. Not even close. That'll bring up Joey Ortiz.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Number nine hitter, 0 for 2. So Cooper Pratt, boy,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: he's looked good. Rookie in his first three major league games.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Made one error, but otherwise flawless defensively at short. He's
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: had a couple of hits, a couple of RBIs. Settling
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: in nicely. Heron's pitch. It's swung on tap to third.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: Arias to second one. Bazana relay.
- 1:03:49Speaker 10: Got him!
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Good stretch by Hoskins at first. And a mammoth double
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: play turned by Cleveland. 5-4-3 on first ball swinging Joey
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Ortiz after Heron walked the leadoff man on five pitches.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Two down. Top of the order. Here's Christian Yelich. Yelich.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: One for three. A double. The pitch. In there. A
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: called strike. Now the 0-1. A little high. One and one.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: We mentioned it, swinging at that first pitch and grounding
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: into the double play. Pat Murphy talking about it with
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Cooper Pratt. He says, hey, up here, you've got to
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: make sure your swinging at pitch is in the zone.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: The pitch, swing and a miss. Ball and two strikes
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: on Yellich. And patience a big key for the Brewers,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: but not there. Two down, nobody on Cleveland with a
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: 4-2 lead. We're in the seventh. Now the 1-2. Curve
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: hung inside, 2-2. Yelich today, two ground outs, a double.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Three for 12 in the series. What a job by
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Parker Messick today. He's got a chance to get win
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: number seven. The pitch, yanked it, full count. Messick made
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: 96 pitches in six innings. wobbled early, but settled in.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Two runs on four hits, struck out nine, walked three.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Now the payoff, ball four outside.
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Here's Jackson Churio, and here's manager Stephen Vogt to make
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: a pitching change. We'll be back.

- 1:07:40Speaker 2: locations in Northeast Ohio, ready to provide solutions to help
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: get you there. Cleveland 4, Milwaukee 2. Brewers with a runner,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: two down in the seventh, and Colin Holderman's second appearance
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: in the series. He has been as big an addition
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: as anybody on this Cleveland pitching staff. 23 appearances, 4-1,
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: a 171 ERA, a 143 batting average against primarily upper
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: 90s sinkers and sliders. Righty-righty matchup. Jackson Churio with 10
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: home runs. 0 for 3 today. And he waves at
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: the slider. Strike one. Boy, he was trying to tie
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: this game up with a one. Swing of the bat.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Tim Heron walked a pair. But got a mammoth double
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: play ball. The pitch. Swing and a miss. Chase the
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: slider in the other batter's box. Churio. Churio. Down in
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: the count, 0-2. Well, do they go right back to
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: that same pitch? Here it comes. Yep, almost went. Appeal
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: at first, didn't get the call this time. 1-2 the count. Outfield,
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: a bit toward left, medium deep. This is one of
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: the best hitter's parks in the game, so a two-run
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: lead is nothing. The 1-2. Way outside. Yanked the slider. Backhanded.
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: With a reach across the body by Hedges. Two balls.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Two strikes. Two outs. Runner at first. Cleveland 4. Milwaukee
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: 2 in the 7th. Now the 2-2. Inside he got drilled.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: Oh my. He got smoked. A 97-mile-an-hour sinker, and he
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: got it on the arm, and you could hear him
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: holler up here. After getting nothing but sliders away, Holderman
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: tried to come inside with a sinker, and he drilled
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: him in that left arm area near the elbow. Got
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: some kind of a protective device there, but that one hurt.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: And now Bryce Terang with one swing of the bat
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: could give Milwaukee the lead. Milwaukee's had three base runners
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: this inning without a hit. Two walks, a hit batter.
