Tandlægen. Luna: Oh no. I don't like the dentist. Lucas: Neither does anyone. But it's good to know some phrases. Let's start with the most important one. Luna: Okay. Lucas: Jeg har ondt i tanden. Say it after me: Jeg har ondt i tanden. Luna: Jeg har ondt i tanden. Lucas: That means 'I have a toothache.' Literally, 'I have pain in the tooth.' Luna: Jeg har ondt i tanden. I can use that. Lucas: For sure. And if you have an appointment, you say: Jeg skal til tandlægen. Luna: Jeg skal til tandlægen. Lucas: Good. 'I have to go to the dentist.' Luna: Jeg skal til tandlægen. I think I actually have an appointment next week. Lucas: Perfect, you're prepared. Now, when you're in the chair, the dentist might say: Kan du åbne munden? Luna: Kan du åbne munden? Lucas: Which means 'Can you open your mouth?' Luna: Kan du åbne munden? That's easy. Lucas: And if something hurts, you can say: Det gør ondt. Luna: Det gør ondt. Lucas: That means 'It hurts.' Luna: Det gør ondt. Yeah, I'll probably use that a lot. Lucas: At the end, the dentist might tell you: Hvornår skal jeg komme igen? Luna: Hvornår skal jeg komme igen? Lucas: That's 'When should I come back?' Luna: Hvornår skal jeg komme igen? Smart. Lucas: And hopefully you can say: Det var ikke så slemt. Luna: Det var ikke så slemt. Lucas: That means 'It wasn't so bad.' Luna: Det var ikke så slemt. I hope I can say that too. Lucas: Let's do a quick practice. Imagine you're at the dentist. I'll play the dentist, you're the patient. Luna: Okay. Lucas: Hej, hvad kan jeg hjælpe med? Luna: Jeg har ondt i tanden. Lucas: Kan du åbne munden? Luna: Det gør ondt. Lucas: Jeg skal give dig en bedøvelse. Luna: Okay. Lucas: Det var ikke så slemt, vel? Luna: Nej, det var ikke så slemt. Lucas: Hvornår skal jeg komme igen? Luna: Om seks måneder.
