- 1:21This is Viewpoint this Sunday.
- 1:27Welcome to the weekend news magazine.
- 1:29Viewpoint this Sunday.
- 1:31It is Malcolm Outlaw here.
- 1:33Well, this was a decision that was truly heard around the world.
- 1:36Everybody was waiting to see how this one went.
- 1:39And it kind of went to the way a lot of uh experts were thinking it might go.
- 1:44Uh, there were some that were still on the other side of that uh conversation.
- 1:47So SCOTUS rules against the Trump uh global tariffs, saying he did not have authority.
- 1:53Now, this was, as you know at this point, it's a six-three decision.
- 1:57It was written by uh Chief Justice John Roberts.
- 2:00Not a big big fan of conservatism, uh, to be sure.
- 2:03Uh, but the court said Trump could not uh invoke this uh IEPA, they call it the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977.
- 2:13Uh and uh so it gets a little interesting what happens here.
- 2:18And uh we're gonna peel that onion right up front here, friends, and join us on the broadcast here is uh uh constitutional scholar, author, speaker, and uh just knows a little bit about this.
- 2:27Paul Engel uh joins us, and you can hear him weekdays on America Out Loud at 4 p.m.
- 2:33Eastern time on the dial.
- 2:35Uh, if you're not hearing that, you're missing out on a lot of great information.
- 2:39Christian Briggs is also here.
- 2:41He's an economic strategist and founder, CEO of hard asset management.
- 2:46And the thing is, uh Christian also is the host.
- 2:49I'm very proud to say every Wednesday, 1 p.m.
- 2:52Eastern time on uh his new show, his new program on the record with Kristen Briggs.
- 2:58And he hits it on all cylinders there, believe me, it's definitely a must-listen to.
- 3:02All those shows always go to podcasts the next day.
- 3:05You get them on any podcast network in the world, friends.
- 3:08So okay.
- 3:10Uh Paul, let's start off here.
- 3:11This uh so it's a six to three decision.
- 3:15Let me ask you first.
- 3:16Well, I want to get into the nuances of some of these uh justices in a moment here, but I want to stop first, as I always do, Paul, at 30,000 feet here.
- 3:24It was a six-three decision.
- 3:26Did Gorsuch and Barrett get it right in your opinion, or did Kavanaugh Thomas and Olido get it right?
- 3:34Uh I think the court includes you know, got it right.
- 3:36I mean, it it's the Constitution's quite plain.
- 3:40Article one, section eight, clause one says Congress has the power to lay and collect collect taxes, duty, taxes, uh, duties, exports, and a tariff is basically just a list of things to be regulated and the duties that go along with them.
- 3:53And that was the problem.
- 3:55Um, you read AIPA, and it says that the president can regulate uh foreign commerce in emergency, but says nothing about taxing foreign commerce.
- 4:06And we I'm sure we're gonna get into the deep a little bit deeper into how the two sides uh approach this opinion, but in the plain black and white, Trump didn't have the authority to issue these tariffs, and uh now there's a big mess that's got to be cleaned up.
- 4:22Okay, so even if it was a national emergency specifically, he still could only regulate but not tariff.
- 4:29Is that correct?
- 4:30Correct.
- 4:31Okay.
- 4:31He didn't have the legal authority to issue any to issue taxes in those under AIPA.
- 4:38Okay, gotcha.
- 4:39So it the so the national emergency thing is a moot point at this point.
- 4:43If you're talking about those two uh particular points here.
- 4:46Kristen, do you see it differently, or did you are you right along with this right now is what we're saying?
- 4:52Unfortunately, I agree with you guys.
- 4:54And I'll say that only because I believe Trump needed to do them, but I agree with you that the constitutionality was was gonna have to take a first a first look at.
- 5:03I I think Trump thought maybe he could bully a little bit or maybe persuade the justices to maybe alter or to soften the corners of the litigate or the legislating body that would control taxation.
- 5:16It was a tax.
- 5:17I mean, at the end of the day, it's what it was.
- 5:18So even though I do believe that the the tariffs are a useful benefit to the authority of the president, he has to get those done through through legislation and not through executive order.
- 5:29Yeah.
- 5:29And that's one of the uh underlying arguments here on a lot of these stories lately we're covering is that Congress is accused quite often of giving up uh their their control uh in the executive branch has become a more powerful, and this has been over multiple administrations.
- 5:43This is a brand new friends, for sure.
- 5:45All right, jumping into this a little more now.
- 5:47All right, Trump, first of all, is the first president to try to impose these tariffs.
- 5:52Let's let's get that out there by invoking this uh IEP.
- 5:55I IP Iay, that should be a song.
- 6:01A 1970s law that the president says regulated imports uh when a national emergency he said posing an unusual and extraordinary threat necessitated it.
- 6:11You know, I remember back all the years, Paul.
- 6:13I remember throughout quite a period of time, actually, Trump would sound off.
- 6:17This is before politics now for him.
- 6:19He would sound off about how America is being screwed over by everybody in the world.
- 6:24I mean, this was a regular uh sound bite from him uh as a business leader who kind of knew what was happening.
- 6:29He's really smart guy with economics, and he knew what was happening.
- 6:33And he he he really regretted that our country was being taken the way that it was.
- 6:38So I think to Kristen's point, he kind of thought he might get away with this particular one.
- 6:44But Paul, what I'm wondering is there are other ways he could have done this, which he's now going to explore.
- 6:50But the only reason I guess they didn't do that initially was that it would have taken longer where he wanted to get out of the gate, and he took a, I guess this was a crab shoot, wasn't it, for him?
- 6:59Well, yeah, I mean, now he's saying, well, there's other laws that could that uh can be used to do this, uh, including uh which was thinking was uh one of the justices said something very similar.
- 7:11And the interesting thing is if that were true, why would he have not built this case on those laws?
- 7:18There's a reason I think he chose AIPA.
- 7:20Now, either it's just because it was quick and dirty, uh possible.
- 7:24That's what I'm understanding, Paul.
- 7:25It was quick and dirty, but is this something else?
- 7:28And well, it's possible that uh he just got some bad advice.
- 7:31I mean, let's face it, from my uh from my studies, uh, lawyers don't learn the constitution in law school.
- 7:38So, you know, and let's face it, his lawyers are trying to get him what he wants.
- 7:42And I think they were grasping at straws, and well, they got their hands slapped.
- 7:47What's interesting to remember is there's nothing the court can do to physically stop the president from doing this.
- 7:53Right?
- 7:53They've offered an opinion.
- 7:55It's not a ruling.
- 7:56They didn't create law.
- 7:58They've offered an opinion that if Trump doesn't abide by it, all it really does is give Congress a justification for impeachment, which opens up a whole new can of worms uh to this situation.
- 8:11Um, I agree, as a policy, I agree that uh we really need to be holding our our competitors accountable, especially you know, China and Vietnam and Taiwan.
- 8:24I believe I also agree that tariffs are a great tool for um foreign policy, but we forget the president isn't invested with the power to regulate foreign policy.
- 8:35Congress is.
- 8:37So this is something that our founder said we don't want a king.
- 8:41All right, so we're not gonna vest him with all these powers.
- 8:44Right.
- 8:45And the fact that Congress is slow is intentional so that you don't have the the whip snap knee-jerk reactions that we've seen over the first year of the tr the second Trump administration.
- 8:56All right, listening to what you're saying there, Paul.
- 8:58Uh, Christian, I'm wondering this.
- 9:00Uh, it sounds to me like uh with what Paul's explaining there, and then this whole concept behind this uh with the legislative branch versus the executive branch.
- 9:10I think Congress is slip sliding away.
- 9:13They seem to not be in the zone anymore.
- 9:15Uh I'm I'm I'm thinking they're the culprit here, more or less that put the president of that uh kind of situation, maybe.
- 9:21Is that make any sense?
- 9:23Well, the way you rephrase it, it is probably more like this.
- 9:28And I'm I'm gonna kind of just give my take because I know many people up there.
- 9:33Okay.
- 9:33There are people in Congress that just don't have the backbone to stand up to Trump.
- 9:38Yeah, that's what it is.
- 9:39There's Republicans that are like, I'm not gonna try to take him on on policy right now until I see the majority of people kind of agree in the that that change of wind.
- 9:50What I would have done, and I said this as this was happening before the the day of reckoning on that April 3rd or 4th.
- 9:56I said, why didn't he just put the tariffs in the legislation?
- 10:00In the big beautiful bill.
- 10:01Why didn't he just put it in there?
- 10:03Just put it in there because you're going to get that thing passed no matter what.
- 10:07If you want tariff to be a part of the administration's leveraging positioning on foreign trade, put it in the bill.
- 10:14Then there's no issues.
- 10:15Interesting.
- 10:15And you know what?
- 10:17Yeah.
- 10:18And you know what I got pushed back, Malcolm?
- 10:19Listen to this.
- 10:21Oh, we can't do that.
- 10:22Oh my God, what would President Trump do?
- 10:24I go, he'd probably say that's a great idea.
- 10:26And that's what I got told.
- 10:28Now, do you think Paul that could have worked that way, Paul?
- 10:31Well, it would have been legal.
- 10:32And it would have given him the backstop to say, uh, okay, maybe you can go all the way back to the Louisiana purchase when presidents did things and then ask Congress to back them up.
- 10:44And he could have done the same thing.
- 10:45He goes, I'm putting these in place.
- 10:46I'm going to put it in the big beautiful bill as a backstop to say, yes, they they're okay with me doing this.
- 10:53That actually would have created not only the legal foundation for the tariffs, but a almost a precedent of the president saying, here's I'm going to react fast.
- 11:04I'm going to ask Congress to approve it after the fact.
- 11:07Um, a little dangerous, but at least it would have gotten him what he wanted and the economic impact that and the foreign policy impact that I believe he wanted, with at least a passing glance at, hey, we've got laws, we've got constitution, we actually have to follow them.
- 11:22Yeah, right.
- 11:23Well, and no, and you you go after that all the time, Paul.
- 11:25Nobody's doing that these days.
- 11:27Uh, they're just not following any of it.
- 11:29All right.
- 11:29So uh playing on what you both are saying here, and Paul um uh Gorsuch wrote in his concurrent opinion, he said, and I quote, whatever else might be said about Congress's work in AIPA, uh, it did not clearly surrender to the president, the sweeping tariff power he seeks to wield.
- 11:48Uh now that that's as Gorse and then Barrett said in her concurrent opinion, uh, most natural reading of the AIPA does not empower presidents to impose the tariffs.
- 11:58In the meantime, though, uh, the uh uh Kavanaugh, uh, he wrote the United States may be required to refund billions of dollars to importers who said the IEPA's tariffs, even though some importers may have already passed on cost to consumers or others.
- 12:13Uh yeah, I quote, as was acknowledged at oral argument, the refund process is likely to be a mess.
- 12:19Well, the fact that it's gonna be a mess, Paul, doesn't necessarily mean that you have to rule in the wrong way.
- 12:25Now, I'm wondering, did did Kavanaugh uh and uh as I was asking that question up front, Kavanaugh Thomas and Alito, and of course, forget John Roberts, but let's talk about those three.
- 12:34Um, did they consider this?
- 12:36Uh do you think they potentially knew the constitutionality of this and they were ruling on the fact of what Kavanaugh says that that this is going to be a mess on aisle three, we're never gonna be able to clean it up.
- 12:47So I'm just I mean, did what do you I mean, were they way off base on this?
- 12:51Well, two things.
- 12:52Yes, the court frequently looks at the impact rather than the law.
- 12:56Yeah, uh, they tend to look at the impact on the courts very frequently.
- 13:00But here's the interesting thing.
- 13:02Um, according to the law and the constitution, the federal government has has stolen almost 150 billion dollars from the American people.
- 13:11Now, I don't know about you, but that seems to be a lot of money.
- 13:14This is a mess that's right about that's the tariffs on the products that we're buying, those are the increases, you mean is that what that's those are specifically the AIPA tariffs um on uh that that Trump has collected to from the numbers I'm seeing.
- 13:27Okay.
- 13:27Now, I don't know about you, but if someone steals 150 billion dollars from you, you're gonna want it back.
- 13:33This is a mess the executive branch has made, and they're gonna have to fix it.
- 13:39The problem is they can't really completely fix it, but they've got to make some sort of restitution.
- 13:44I I have uh uh someone I know here who is really seriously impacted by these tariffs, and there's nothing that's gonna get his old business back.
- 13:53Yeah, but the least they can do is say, listen, if you paid extra and these illegal tariffs, the least you can do is refund them.
- 14:01I mean, if you pay too much income tax, the IRS sends you a refund check.
- 14:04That's the least the federal government can do for this, you know, 150 billion dollar uh theft from the the this money was actually stolen from the American people.
- 14:14Wow.
- 14:14Well, Kirsten uh economically, uh, this uh this is quite a hit.
- 14:19How do you think they dig out of this?
- 14:21Uh I mean, is there do you see a way?
- 14:24No, I think this is gonna this is gonna hurt the 28 election as well.
- 14:27I think what's gonna happen is Trump's gonna try to use, like he made it very clear yesterday in the press conference, he's gonna use a couple other alternative methods in which to maintain the consistency of the tariffs.
- 14:38And I and the good point made earlier is why didn't he just do that in the beginning?
- 14:42But whatever the case may be, he is gonna use that, and I can tell you this from an economic standpoint, and it's been mathematically proven.
- 14:50If someone's making 50,000 a year versus a million dollars a year, they buy the same products, believe it or not.
- 14:56You're you're you're people are gonna buy the same general products, whether it's toothpaste or a toothbrush to whatever.
- 15:02Those are underlying things that we need every day.
- 15:05The impact on that $50,000 earner is so hard right now.
- 15:10There's real inflation on that.
- 15:12And that's a good point that was made.
- 15:14That was stolen from the American people.
- 15:16At the end of the day, this was unconstitutional.
- 15:19It was a dictatorship methodology.
- 15:21That's what it was.
- 15:22It's a methodology based on a on a system of which I'm right, everybody else will be wrong.
- 15:27I've got to do this.
- 15:28Don't question my authority.
- 15:30Well, that just got a question, and in fact, it got pushed back on.
- 15:34Yeah.
- 15:34So the argument made about how it was stolen from America, well said.
- 15:38Number two, it's gonna have an impact uh if it continues on the American people.
- 15:43Look at the GDP, that 1.6.
- 15:45I can tell you that a big part of the drop in the GDP was because of the lack of discretionary income that the bottom half of America doesn't have.
- 15:54They don't have it anymore.
- 15:55They had it two years ago.
- 15:56So you don't have it anymore.
- 15:57You're talking about the fourth quarter.
- 15:58That's clear, right?
- 15:58The GPU.
- 15:59Yeah, yeah.
- 16:00Correct.
- 16:00That was that is directly related to the tariffs.
- 16:02Malcolm, that's direct.
- 16:03We we we run a very deep analysis on this stuff every day.
- 16:07Okay.
- 16:07We knew the GDP was gonna take it hit in the fourth quarter.
- 16:09We saw the spending drop.
- 16:11And when you looked at where they were spending, it was on a lot of things that are imported.
- 16:15People couldn't pay the 40 or 50 or 60 percent.
- 16:18So it did have an economic impact.
- 16:20I think the tariffs can be legislated, but in this manner, the way they're going, I think it could hurt Trump's uh Trump's overall popularity.
- 16:28I was hearing uh now.
- 16:30Let me play this, Kirsten at you a moment.
- 16:32Sure.
- 16:32Uh, because what you say is a very interesting point, and I and I get it, but I'm also hearing reports that we're talking here about the 26 midterms and the 28 general election for all.
- 16:42Okay, so let's put those over there.
- 16:44Now if if this from what I'm hearing, you tell me, but right now, some I'm saying are suggesting that this could be a benefit to the Republican establishment.
- 16:56If this is the opposite of what you just said, so let me play this out.
- 17:00They're saying it could be a benefit because there's gonna be more money right away.
- 17:03People can have more money in their pockets, not gonna have the tariff insult, all of that, and it's gonna be before the midterms, and so things are gonna potentially rise now between now and the midterms in that way.
- 17:12Is that possible, Kristen?
- 17:14No, because Tom's gonna keep the tariffs in place.
- 17:16And number two, beef prices went up 15% in one day last week.
- 17:21Beef prices, poultry, pork, it's all going up.
- 17:23Food inflation is continuation of bad policy from Biden, but it's now starting to uh actually escalate.
- 17:30So what you're looking at, the GDP in the fourth quarter is a direct reflection.
- 17:34This will not benefit the benefits are already in place that would have had already been there.
- 17:39Well, we're seeing if you we can we don't want to go digress down into the to the midterms or the 28 election, but I can tell you this right the winds of change for a lot of different reasons are already in place.
- 17:50This is not gonna help because it's in the 18 to well, 36-year-old category demographic, the tariffs and the method of which they were being utilized or being pushed on the American people, those people are the lower end of the economic scale.
- 18:06They didn't like them.
- 18:07The 96% of them said it was a dictatorship gone wild.
- 18:12Wow, that's your problem.
- 18:14That's your younger people, and they're two times more likely to vote than the 55 and above crowd.
- 18:18Well, all right, you you bring up some really uh very interesting points here.
- 18:22But Paul, if this is half even half true or uh or less with what Christian's putting out there, and it's uh sensible.
- 18:29Uh, this is devastating news for 26 and 28 for Republicans.
- 18:33It could have that impact.
- 18:34Is that is that your sense as well, or something different, Paul?
- 18:38Well, I I agree that's a strong possibility.
- 18:41I don't have a crystal ball, but I find it I always find it interesting how how often a policy turns into politics as a question.
- 18:51Uh, you know, it's like, well, we shouldn't do this because it'll it'll adversely impact one political party or another.
- 18:57Uh you you know me, right?
- 18:58I pox on both their houses.
- 19:00I don't like either political party.
- 19:02Uh I'm less concerned about the the party impact than the uh the long-term impact of what happens now when a president goes out too far.
- 19:16Do we reel him in because we're afraid that uh, you know, our party will be hurt, or we're afraid of the economic backlash.
- 19:26Does it, you know, does that idea does that mentality actually say, well, I know it's wrong, but I'm gonna do it because it gets me something in the end.
- 19:34Well, I've got hold on, let me let me finish that too.
- 19:36I know it's wrong, but I'm gonna do it because I want to make America great again.
- 19:39Yeah.
- 19:40And you know, I I even go back to uh Thomas's dissent.
- 19:44It was very interesting, where he said that uh, you know, Congress authorized a president to regulate imp uh importation throughout American history.
- 19:53The authority to regulate importation has been understood to include the authority to impose duties on imports.
- 19:58Yeah, where?
- 19:59Right.
- 20:00I I I haven't dug into the the meat and potatoes of this yet.
- 20:04Yeah, but uh where has this happened?
- 20:07He does point to a couple of scenarios where um that language is is you know but as I dug into the laws he was referring to I'm still that sure that it says quite exactly what he says it says.
- 20:19Okay.
- 20:20Well, we got to remember as well.
- 20:22We're talking here a lot of uh case study on right now, current day, President Trump, everything that's happened and the impact of the elections, the economy, so on and so forth.
- 20:30However, you cannot lose sight, and Paul, you know this better than anybody.
- 20:34You cannot lose sight that really, if this is gonna be anything, friends, of any value to any one of us.
- 20:41The idea of this of the court is to rule about for the presidency, not President Trump, the president C, because we're talking about long-term implications here of what any president can do coming in.
- 20:53I mean, this would have changed the rules entirely.
- 20:55Is that a fair statement, Paul?
- 20:57Well, I wouldn't say to rule because courts don't rule, they offer, especially Scota's offers opinions.
- 21:02Um, but yeah, you keep saying that.
- 21:05You keep hold on, you keep you've said that before.
- 21:07But I I and I hear what you say on that, but that's never the case in real life.
- 21:12When they have an opinion, it's a ruling because everybody follows what the hell they say.
- 21:16So let's argue about that.
- 21:18What is it?
- 21:18Is it is an opinion or rule?
- 21:20But why does that matter if we're gonna always follow the Supreme Court no matter what?
- 21:24Why do we follow their opinions?
- 21:25Then who gives a rat's ass?
- 21:26Well, that's that's the point.
- 21:28The fact that we follow them blindly shows that we uh we've given up being a republic.
- 21:33So you're saying we have the so this is important.
- 21:35I want Kristen opine on this too.
- 21:37You're saying this is such an important point.
- 21:39You're saying we have this all screwed up, really, because we listen, listen.
- 21:43We and I and I really see this.
- 21:45We act like the Supreme Court is the king and queen.
- 21:47They are the royalty, like they're the last word in the room.
- 21:50Oh my God, this court has ruled, and the president's this, and the Congress says, like they're the official word.
- 21:55You're saying they're not, they only give an opinion.
- 21:58If they're only giving an opinion, then who's the one to make the rule?
- 22:01Well, first of all, it's not I'm not the one saying it.
- 22:04It's actually Alexander Hamilton in Federalist Paper 78, when he said the courts have neither force nor will, merely judgment, and are ultimately dependent on the executive.
- 22:14No, I'm not arguing with you.
- 22:15I get this.
- 22:16That's good.
- 22:16No, that's good.
- 22:17That's good.
- 22:17But who makes the rule?
- 22:18Who makes the rule?
- 22:19Who makes it?
- 22:19It's actually it's Congress that makes the rules.
- 22:21They have the legislative power.
- 22:23And it's Congress that can look at a president and say, You're breaking the law, and we're going to impeach you.
- 22:28It's Congress that can look at a at a justice, a federal judge judge, and say, No, you're acting badly, and we're going to impeach you.
- 22:35Congress is the one with the power because Congress is the one that is the only office, uh, only members of Congress are elected by the people to represent the people and the states.
- 22:46All right.
- 22:46All right.
- 22:47Interesting.
- 22:47Maybe that was the view.
- 22:48Christian, but I got to tell you here, if I was to poll right now, listeners and and part of America, they would say Congress sucks.
- 22:56Uh, Congress has a very low rating, and it's horrible.
- 22:59I mean, they're lower than all of them.
- 23:01I mean, they really do suck.
- 23:02Uh, they're incapable of doing any of this stuff.
- 23:04So if they've got all that power, I have less faith.
- 23:07We're in good company here in our country or in good hands, maybe is a better way to say it.
- 23:12But Paul brings up an interesting point.
- 23:13What do you say about that?
- 23:14We all think the Supreme Court is like the god of everything.
- 23:18Like whatever they say, that's the decision.
- 23:20Oh, you're gonna follow it.
- 23:21You hear what Paul's saying, Christian.
- 23:23Yeah, I see what I hear it and I see what Paul's saying.
- 23:27And he's not wrong.
- 23:28But really, if you look at the last 40 or 50 years, even going back to uh to Roosevelt, yeah.
- 23:34What's happening is is the executive branch is becoming now Congress and the executive branch kind of in one Trump tried to do that, but the the Supreme Court doesn't have enforcement power.
- 23:45When they make an opinion, it's the rule of law that they're using the standard to make the opinion.
- 23:51In other words, the constitution is their rule of law.
- 23:53They look at every piece of legislation that or executive order for that matter, and it's in the in it is legislation until the Supreme Court either yay or nays it.
- 24:01Right.
- 24:01So at the end of the day, what's happening is the Supreme Court makes a ruling.
- 24:06We either can follow it or not.
- 24:08Biden usurped and didn't even follow the Supreme Court on three different instances when it came to student loan forgiveness.
- 24:14Exactly.
- 24:14Exactly.
- 24:15Okay.
- 24:15So don't so when someone says that they're following the Supreme Court blindly, that's not true.
- 24:21Biden did it, Obama's done it, Trump's done it.
- 24:24That is a great point.
- 24:25Yeah, right.
- 24:26And so now there's the there's this pushback.
- 24:28However, in this case, Trump's not even following it.
- 24:31He's usurping it.
- 24:33He said, You're wrong, I'm right.
- 24:35I'm gonna do it another way.
- 24:36Either way, I'm gonna get this done, according to Trump.
- 24:39But hold on, but from what Paul is saying, uh all bets are off.
- 24:43I mean, uh, you know, I mean, if they're just giving an opinion, they don't like their opinion.
- 24:47So Trump goes, I don't like your opinion, even though you're the law of the land, but you're really not enforcing you have no enforcement power, so I'm just gonna run over you.
- 24:58What he said.
- 24:59They're not the law of the land.
- 25:01Right.
- 25:01If if if if if the supreme court is the law of the land, this is no longer a republic.
- 25:06We are an oligarchy.
- 25:08And it we're ruled by nine uh uh Supreme Nine high priests in black robes.
- 25:13Right, right.
- 25:14Correct.
- 25:14But the public well, the fact that that our constitutional education is so poor that the people don't realize this.
- 25:21That exactly that Congress is their employees.
- 25:25If Congress is a mess, it's up to us to fix it to convince our neighbors that we can do better.
- 25:33And here's an example.
- 25:34We just throw up our hands and saying, nope, I'm not gonna bother because everybody uh because nobody pays attention.
- 25:40I listen, I'm listening to you two, and I think we're in trouble here.
- 25:42Uh you you do not give me any sense of comfort here whatsoever.
- 25:47I want to call it.
- 25:48Listen to the radio program, you know we're in trouble.
- 25:50Yeah.
- 25:52Oh man, watch it, fella.
- 25:53Watch it.
- 25:54All right.
- 25:54So listen, uh, I've got an eject button right over here.
- 25:58I can press right out of the scene.
- 26:01All right, listen, the Wall Street Journal says Trump's new trade agenda is on a collision course with midterms, was that headline.
- 26:09Okay.
- 26:09All right.
- 26:10And then it's the in so it, and I quote here the impact of the decision will be weakening the president's negotiating power.
- 26:17Uh says Wilbur Ross, who was Secretary of Commerce during Trump's first term.
- 26:22The other legal options for tariffs he added are either time limited or require extensive investigations uh before they can be put into place.
- 26:30What do you say about that?
- 26:31I I think it's right.
- 26:32The headlines exactly what I just said.
- 26:34I don't know about those headlines.
- 26:35I'm telling you, the young people look at this in an impact way because they're the most being impacted.
- 26:40When you look at the average income of the 18 to 35, 36 year old individual, they're not they're not making a million dollars a year on average.
- 26:48So these tariffs impacted them the most, and they felt it.
- 26:52They felt it.
- 26:53And so when the ruling came through, I had my own son 23 and other people that I know, they all said, This is fantastic.
- 27:01Now I can afford things again.
- 27:03So there is policy, does affect voting.
- 27:07Policy always affects voting when it's of this level and affects so many people.
- 27:12And Paul is absolutely right.
- 27:13Supreme Court is not the law of the land, but if you ask anybody, they'll tell you that the Supreme Court is the law of the land because they don't know any better.
- 27:21They don't know any better.
- 27:22Obama said it a couple times when he said after Supreme Court justice made the made the decision on the ACA Affordable Care Act official, and he said in a press conference, the law of the land has spoken.
- 27:34The ACA is here to stay.
- 27:36Well, Christian, I'm gonna tell you right now that uh the majority of people listening right now.
- 27:41I'm I'm gonna tell you right now, they're probably shocked, uh surprised to hear some of this conversation of what we're I mean.
- 27:47This is pretty interesting.
- 27:49And I know Paul, you I mean, I already know this because we talk enough, and you you and this is part of your sermon, Paul, on a regular basis and trying to push back, which tells you now I see you know, when you do these stories and you listen to Paul Engel on the constitution study, you get a sense of why there's so much material for you, Paul, because we're in a heap of trouble here with this uh the well, as you point out, the oligarchy versus the republic.
- 28:13That's an ongoing dilemma, isn't it now, really?
- 28:15All right, let me let me dive here now with with this here.
- 28:19Uh the AP says, furious about the defeat, Trump said he will impose a global 10% tariff as an alternative while pressing his trade policies by other means.
- 28:28So right away, Paul, he's not backing down.
- 28:31He's going right forward, and he's gonna tear up the hell out of everybody and use the tariffs in the way that he wants to, because he said a president needs to do that.
- 28:39He's used them to negotiate foreign policy, he's used them to stop wars, he's used them to all kinds of things, okay?
- 28:45Now, Reuters says Trump in comments at the White House after the rule and condemned it as terrible and totally defective.
- 28:53He's it he said these are his words, Paul.
- 28:55Uh, the president.
- 28:56I'm ashamed of certain members of the court, absolutely ashamed for not having the courage to do what's right for our country.
- 29:03So he's talking about what's right for our country, make America great again, no matter what the Constitution says and what the Supreme Court says, and back to what Christian's saying, I'm gonna he's not gonna listen to their opinion with my hands up in quotes there, whatever that is.
- 29:17The New York Times says Trump calls justices who were ruled against him fools and lapdogs.
- 29:23He insist he insisted that they were being controlled by global elites somehow.
- 29:27And he went after some pretty strong words against the justices, and actually just about and uninvited them to the State of the Union next week, which should be a hell of a party for DC, I would imagine.
- 29:40Uh, what do you say of all that when Trump did the speech, the conference and the tone and some of these headlines um talking to you now?
- 29:48How serious?
- 29:49What kind does this matter at all, or is this doing more damage and more carnage to the administration?
- 29:55Well, this is classic Trump.
- 29:57Uh, I didn't get my way, and he throws a temper tantrum.
- 30:00It's one of the reasons why, you know, think about it.
- 30:03If I don't get my way, then I'm just going to take my ball and play somewhere else.
- 30:11This is the dictatorial image of the of the imperial present that uh I'm going to do what I want.
- 30:17Because it's interesting, he says, in his opinion, and I agree.
- 30:21The tariffs are the right foreign policy.
- 30:26I know it hurts at home, but the many of them are the right foreign policy.
- 30:29And he used them to great effect to change foreign policy as a foreign policy tool.
- 30:35The problem is it wasn't legal for him to do that.
- 30:39And uh that to me is the step too far.
- 30:43So, Paul, if based on that, the issue really is the upside-down trade uh arrangements we have with many of these countries where Trump would often speak about how we're being taken to the cleaners on a regular basis, and you see how upside down it is, and it's just it doesn't empower us, and then we've gutted out manufactured.
- 31:08I mean, Trump came into office with such an agenda on almost an impossible agenda of trying to turn this country around.
- 31:16And we were in a heap of trouble in that last year of Biden, and I think people started to smell the dead fish in the water.
- 31:22Uh, and there was no when he talks about being the deadest country and then now successful country.
- 31:27I mean, he has a point to what he's saying.
- 31:30If he didn't get in there and start to do some of these things he was doing, I mean, I don't know.
- 31:35Can we have our cake and eat it too, Paul?
- 31:36Can we still have a constitution to be a republic and still push the issue a little bit to get on the right side of the these things?
- 31:43Or like Trump, does he say we should take a bath just because the paper that was created 250 years ago says this?
- 31:49He says, screw that.
- 31:50We're in an emergency situation, I'm gonna do X.
- 31:52I don't know that that qualifies as a dictator.
- 31:55I think that qualifies as a patriot.
- 31:56I'm just gonna put that out there just for shits and giggles here.
- 31:59Uh, that could qualify as a patriot who's breaking the rules to fix the republic.
- 32:03Is there anything there?
- 32:05The problem with that is if then the rule of law means nothing.
- 32:09And there's a it means nothing anyways.
- 32:11What the hell difference does it make?
- 32:12I mean, who the hell follows the rule of law anymore?
- 32:14Sorry, that I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Malcolm.
- 32:15That that isn't true.
- 32:17Um, the rule of law is important.
- 32:19If the laws don't matter, yeah, but the Democrats don't follow the laws.
- 32:23No, this is this is the anarchy that democracy brings.
- 32:26And it becomes the bully, whoever has the biggest gun, the loudest mouth, your rights mean nothing.
- 32:33Because well, I get I can infringe on your rights because I think it's the right thing to do.
- 32:38That's the very stuff our our bill of rights was meant to prevent.
- 32:41Paul, aren't we already there, though?
- 32:43Aren't we already there in some ways?
- 32:45I mean, I would say not even close to the level you're you're you're implying.
- 32:50I don't know.
- 32:51I wonder.
- 32:52I mean, I at this point, guess what?
- 32:54We have a court that said, no, President Trump, you're wrong.
- 32:57Now the question is, is Congress going to hold him to that or not?
- 32:59Well, there's the key right there, Congress.
- 33:01I mean, if that's if they if whether they do or don't, it's because we the people chose those people to represent us.
- 33:08It's the only the Congress is the only body elected by the people.
- 33:13I know you keep saying that, and you're right.
- 33:15You're 100% right with what you say there.
- 33:17But let me just tell you that a lot of people don't know who or what or why they're voting for.
- 33:21I mean, we have a lot of dumb people out there, Paul.
- 33:24So you take away their rights because you don't like the way they vote.
- 33:27I didn't say take away their rights, but they're still dumb.
- 33:29Well, that's the that's the implication.
- 33:30Well, they're too dumb to make this decision, so we have to make it for them.
- 33:33Well, then we're gonna have to all pack up and move to another country because this one's gonna rot from the inside out.
- 33:38But where do you go?
- 33:39And you'll stand there with a flag and hold your constitution one hand, a republic, and you'll be you'll be bare ass in the wind.
- 33:45Except, no, because what I'm trying to do is educate those people that said, no, you have a choice, you can fix this.
- 33:51There is no quick fix to uh to a century plus of destruction of the rule of law.
- 33:58Yeah, of destruction of the idea of the constitution.
- 34:00It's gonna take time.
- 34:02But if we don't admit that we have a problem, and then look for a solution and start looking for solutions that don't make the problem even worse.
- 34:10Okay.
- 34:10Right.
- 34:11Then yeah, you're right.
- 34:12The Republic is as Franklin said, he gave the they gave us a republic.
- 34:16If we can keep it, I know, I know.
- 34:18Listen, I don't disagree with anyone.
- 34:20I I don't disagree with anything you've specifically said, by the way, just so listeners are real.
- 34:25Just I'm edging you on to try to get that that motivation out of you.
- 34:29And you're saying it correctly.
- 34:30I get it.
- 34:31Kirsten, but I don't know what kind of dire straits are we in here.
- 34:34I mean, you know, at this point, you know, you know, and and and you see a guy like Trump come in on his horse, and he he thinks he's the Paul Revere of this moment, and he's gonna stop fixing shit.
- 34:44What do you say?
- 34:45Well, we're a democracy, but he would have what he had done would have been a uh an okay position and an okay authority.
- 34:53But as a republic, you got laws that adhere to specific limitations on the executive.
- 34:59Let me ask you this, Kristen.
- 35:00Hold on.
- 35:00We have a we we have it, we have a uh okay.
- 35:02So we've already qualified the Supreme Court is just giving opinions and opinions are like and hold on now.
- 35:07Opinions are like farts, they stink.
- 35:09Let's be sure we all understand that, okay?
- 35:11Put that over there a minute.
- 35:12Now, so we know what the Supreme Court is.
- 35:14They're just opinions, they're just a body there sitting there.
- 35:16Here's an opinion, here's an opinion, here's an opinion.
- 35:18I mean, okay, I get it.
- 35:19I get it.
- 35:20You've got a Congress that is totally dysfunctional.
- 35:23That is uh, I mean, the most unethical group of people that have their hands so far in the cookie job, they're all wealthy by by measures that could not measure up by their salaries.
- 35:32We're being sold out by a whole group of people that Paul keeps saying we're electing the wrong people.
- 35:37Yeah, that's why I called dumb people that are electing people, because you know, it's a mess.
- 35:41And so you you've got all that, and then you've got the president who comes in and says, you know, I'm just gonna stop fixing some of this stuff.
- 35:46So what do you do at that point?
- 35:48You have a dysfunctional Congress that can't walk straight.
- 35:50You gotta uh you got a body over here that's just giving opinions out.
- 35:53What's the president?
- 35:54What the hell is he supposed to do?
- 35:55It's a hell of a.
- 35:56Well, it depends on it depends on the consciousness of the individual.
- 35:59If President Trump thinks that he's doing the right thing, then he needs to continue to push forward.
- 36:03And the fact that you know we have that Congress is is so corrupt.
- 36:08Whose fault is that?
- 36:09Well, no, and you keep let's not waste time with that.
- 36:11We know that.
- 36:12We know that, but that's the dumb people who are voting.
- 36:15I would say, yeah, well, come on, you don't want to, you don't want to put your big boy pants on like I am doing here.
- 36:20I agree it's the people that it's the people that are voting.
- 36:22Well, the problem is most people don't realize that.
- 36:25They think they have no say, they think there's nothing they can.
- 36:27I was just having this conversation with somebody that that they're they're so frustrated, not realizing, you know what?
- 36:33What we need to do is we need to help, and I was very specific to help convince our neighbors to hire better people.
- 36:41It's a great point.
- 36:42You see, uh, Kristen, uh Paul is just he's such a great constitutional guy, and he gets down to the core all the time.
- 36:49And he's unbreakable in these areas, which is what I tried to do, see if I could break him a little bit, but he didn't break, did he, Kirsten?
- 36:55No, because he's right.
- 36:56I didn't say he wasn't right.
- 36:58I never said that.
- 37:00All I did was try to punch him in the gut a couple of times and see if I can get him to spit up.
- 37:04Like Houdini, right?
- 37:06Yeah, or Houdini.
- 37:07Well, no, I just wanted to see if I get him to spit up a minute.
- 37:10I don't know.
- 37:11Uh, because we we really you know what we just showcased, though, is how broken we are.
- 37:15You understand that, guys.
- 37:17Paul Engel, listen to him 4 p.m.
- 37:19Monday through Friday.
- 37:20Now you see what I was saying a moment ago, friends.
- 37:22Listen to Paul Engel.
- 37:24Uh, he'll keep the narrative straight.
- 37:26I was being a little facetious, of course, about the dumb people kind of thing.
- 37:29But you all probably listen, dumb people don't listen or talk radio.
- 37:32Let me just be clear with you now.
- 37:33So if you're listening to it.
- 37:34They don't, you're not.
- 37:34Oh, they don't.
- 37:35They have no doubt.
- 37:36Right, right.
- 37:37So you can actually say dumb people and not insult anybody here.
- 37:39You understand?
- 37:40Yeah, because no dumb person listens to this show.
- 37:42Only smart people listen to the show.
- 37:43They do not listen.
- 37:44They do not listen.
- 37:45And that's why they vote the way they vote, because they're dumb.
- 37:47You know, they're they're stupid people.
- 37:48As you can see, both of these guys are super, super smart.
- 37:51And uh, it's good to throw it around a little bit with them.
- 37:53Uh, let me just take we're gonna take a pause here.

- 41:54Okay.
- 41:55The first question I want to ask you, IQ is uh how Ramadan could shape the conflict with Iran, or will it or won't it?
- 42:03Uh, as we're edging closer to something happening.
- 42:06We'll talk about that in a moment here.
- 42:07Could this change uh the uh the lay of the land at all, or is it or does it interrupt anything that they're planning?
- 42:14Will they hold off or will they you know what I'm asking?
- 42:17No, it doesn't change anything.
- 42:18Ramadan is a fasting month, and the reason it's a fasting month because Muhammad, when he was uh when he received his first revelation, forgot which part of the month that they received the revelation.
- 42:33Can you believe that?
- 42:34And that's why they're still like a woman giving birth to a child, and she can't remember which day she gave the child.
- 42:40And and you mean because of that they're still doing that today for the month?
- 42:43Yes.
- 42:44Oh, that's good.
- 42:44They said uh because I can't remember which part of the month, you have to follow the whole month.
- 42:49Oh that's what they're saying.
- 42:50It's a good thing you didn't say the year.
- 42:52They'd be dead.
- 42:52They'd all be started.
- 42:55I wish you had, I wish you had.
- 42:57I can't remember over the last year.
- 42:58We'll just celebrate it all year long, nobody eat.
- 43:00That would have been one way to get them all out quick, I'll tell you here.
- 43:03A lot of what do you is that do you ever hear that story?
- 43:06Did you know that?
- 43:07No, I actually hadn't heard that.
- 43:09I've just uh uh but I you know where when I lived in Israel, um uh we we were very very close to it because uh in Israel, the the um uh the Arabs and uh and the the Jews are live very close together and and um many of the people who we would come in contact with um uh participate in uh in the um in the past.
- 43:34It's a little piece of history that a lot of us didn't know.
- 43:36Uh it's fascinating.
- 43:37I want to.
- 43:37But I had no idea.
- 43:38I had no idea that that was the source of it.
- 43:40Let me all right.
- 43:41I can't you're gonna check me off.
- 43:43Yeah, well, let's get back to it.
- 43:45I'm telling you the truth.
- 43:46Well, we believe it.
- 43:47Let's get back to the war.
- 43:48All right, so IQ about it for a minute.
- 43:50Let me get back to the war, guys.
- 43:52Like two old friends meeting here.
- 43:54Uh so IQ, uh, what about uh what's your let your crystal ball out a moment?
- 44:00You you always have a crystal ball near you.
- 44:02Uh we see that.
- 44:03Well, my crystal ball recently has been failing me.
- 44:05I honestly believe last week, last weekend will be the attack.
- 44:10But it is very possible he will leave it up to the last day of the month, February.
- 44:15So is there a reason for that strategically, do you think, or not really?
- 44:18No, no, not only strategic.
- 44:20Don't forget by the by next Monday or Tuesday, the Gerald Ford will arrive near the coast of Israel.
- 44:27So they will be literally a few hundred miles away from Iran.
- 44:31So Iran will be pisser covered, one from the Indian Ocean and one from Mediterranean.
- 44:37Okay.
- 44:37And in both cases, they would be far enough to be able to defend themselves against any attack, ballistic or otherwise, by Iran.
- 44:44Is there any case?
- 44:45Iran, the Iranian government, the Ayatullahs really have absolutely no idea how advanced technology America has in the in its armaments.
- 44:56Another thing is happening.
- 44:58The United States will be testing every single weapon and will be getting rid of all the old bombs and missiles that they have.
- 45:07It will be at it will be an orchestra, a symphony orchestra of death.
- 45:12All right, what you lay out there.
- 45:14So there's no doubt in your mind that there's going to be an attack on Iran.
- 45:17There's no question.
- 45:18He has to destroy the Ayatullah regime.
- 45:21You can't have this regime having a sort of domain democrista over the whole world.
- 45:26Forget it.
- 45:27Even though he is out there making comments, which uh uh uh which Ilana, you talk about here in the comments that he's saying, like uh not the quite words he's using, but well, you say, so while America pins its hopes on negotiations for a deal, Iran keeps stalling and continues its secret preparations for the next war, even as they continue to oppress and murder their own people by the thousands.
- 45:51Now, in your uh your article, your op-ed, uh Ilana, which is the president's Iran Gambit, and you can get that in the hot button stories on America Outloud.news friends.
- 46:00You say uh you're talking about finishing the job.
- 46:03It is time to unleash the hounds of war that you are positioned in the waters around Iran and finish the job as you promised the people of Iran you would.
- 46:10So do you have any question or thought at this point that this might not happen?
- 46:13Because he talks about doing a little test, see if they'll come to the negotiating table.
- 46:18And you wrote about that extensively in your piece.
- 46:20That that's point is irritating you.
- 46:22Well, it's irritating me because I don't think he understands who with whom he's dealing.
- 46:27Um, he, you know, he he has been a master deal maker for for all most of his adult life, and and he's been very, very successful, but he's been dealing with Westerners.
- 46:40He's been dealing with Americans, and we think differently from the way they think in Iran.
- 46:47They are uh Islamists in to the nth degree, and uh they don't want what we want, they don't believe what we want.
- 46:55What what we what we believe, and um and you you can't negotiate with him.
- 47:01We saw this when he tried to negotiate with Hamas.
- 47:04Hamas said, yes, yes, yes, we will do this, we'll do that.
- 47:08And then they went ahead and did whatever they wanted to do.
- 47:10Ilana, is it possible that he is doing this just for public perception, PR, and that he knows this already, but he's not telling you what he knows?
- 47:18Is that possible?
- 47:19I I I don't feel it.
- 47:21I I feel like he he really wants to make a deal, and he thinks he can.
- 47:26And I what I'm saying is that uh he has no idea whom you're dealing with because they'll lie to him, they will uh they'll cheat, they'll do whatever is necessary to uh push their agenda forward, which is the pursuit of radical Islam.
- 47:44Okay, so let me get IQ uh here on this point here.
- 47:48Does the president know who he's dealing with and this point of negotiating?
- 47:51Is he putting it out there as a PR tool, or do you think he is really looking to get a deal with them?
- 47:56One of the few times that's on I disagree with Ilana.
- 48:00I honestly know, believe he knows what he's dealing with.
- 48:04The reason he is taking his time are two reasons now.
- 48:08Yeah.
- 48:09He won't he cannot afford to have a single ship sink.
- 48:13Americans will lose heart in no time.
- 48:16So he wants to have the maximum defense system.
- 48:20The attacks, yeah, the ability to attack is already available, but the defense is not the same.
- 48:26And now Britain is betraying America.
- 48:29Britain, the English speaking people were saved in World War One, in World War II, and the end of Soviet Union because of the United States of America, and to pay her back, the the government, the government, the labor government in England today, is betraying America.
- 48:48Okay, so what the only true finish the thought hold on, finish the thought and tell our listeners why they are betraying.
- 48:57Who are what are they doing, please?
- 48:59Tell the people.
- 49:00Nobody seems to understand why.
- 49:02They're destroying they're destroying their own country.
- 49:05This labor government is hell bent on destroying the the govern the country.
- 49:10They're allowing more and more illegals to come in, they're allowing Sharia to take over in the United Kingdom.
- 49:18They have more lab uh Muslim MPs and mayors and governors than you anybody else in in the whole of Europe now.
- 49:28Unbelievable.
- 49:28Wow.
- 49:29And they want to betray America on Diego Garcia, and they are not allowing American uh shins to come out from England.
- 49:40They're afraid of international law.
- 49:42What international law they're talking about?
- 49:44Yeah.
- 49:44Well, I'm dealing with the thug with thugs.
- 49:47We're dealing with mass murderers, and they're talking about international law.
- 49:50Where were they when the international law was broken again and again by the Muslims?
- 49:56All right, all right.
- 49:58I I think uh many Americans kind of know.
- 50:00They're on to what you're talking about.
- 50:01I just wanted you to clarify this betrayal that you're speaking about.
- 50:05But Europe's got some real problems.
- 50:07The President Trump has been speaking about that in the past few weeks again.
- 50:10He's really been irritating the leaders in Europe big time.
- 50:14But and then Marco Rubio's incredible speech in Munich really set the world ablaze with truth that people were having a hard time digesting what that truth was.
- 50:23But I'll tell you what, his star is rising incredibly from that speech, Alana.
- 50:28You see that, the one in Munich that uh oh, yes.
- 50:31Wonderful.
- 50:32Yeah, it was incredible.
- 50:33Yeah.
- 50:33Uh so that so you see, uh, IQ saying it, I think a lot of people believe IQ is on the right side of that.
- 50:40That the president is just you know, a lot of these comments he's putting out, he plays the game.
- 50:45He doesn't let the real information get to the enemy.
- 50:48And what he does is he uh he waits, he's stalling.
- 50:53So what you're thinking is kind of a nemesis situation.
- 50:56He's stolen intentionally to get all the assets in place to get the defense perfectly where it needs to be.
- 51:03IQ.
- 51:04Yes, but also another thing.
- 51:05Yeah.
- 51:06He is creating a scenario where he's telling the whole world, look, I have tried.
- 51:11They broke it.
- 51:12The agreement.
- 51:13And they've tried again and again and again.
- 51:15There's a limit.
- 51:16Yeah, yeah.
- 51:16Yeah, because we know they're not going to do any of that.
- 51:18Uh people are designed to be able to do that.
- 51:21Absolutely.
- 51:22You're not dealing with rational I don't disagree with any of that.
- 51:26Uh the only thing that uh that uh by what I wrote about in my article was that in the meantime, and he he almost a month ago he promised support to the people who are out in the street who are were were demonstrating and and dying by the thousands and being arrested by the thousands.
- 51:44And by the way, when they're arrested, they're tortured, they're they're they're they're mass raped, they're they're killed.
- 51:51Um, and and so when he promised that help is on the way, and then help didn't come.
- 51:58I think that that it damages his image.
- 52:01Well, you believe that's an injustice.
- 52:03You're talking that's an injustice to the injustice.
- 52:06Well, he that's equivalent to others who draw who draw red lines, and like if Biden did that all the time and they never follow the red lines, and he kind of was doing that early on.
- 52:16No, but no, it had presidents do that, I'm saying, Alan, I'm not comparing him to anyone.
- 52:20Yeah, no, of course.
- 52:21Presidents do that, and you've got to follow through.
- 52:23What your point is, I think you're saying is you you can't say these things unless you follow through, is what you're saying.
- 52:29Period.
- 52:30And stop.
- 52:30Particularly when so many lives are at stake.
- 52:32Yes, yes.
- 52:33And that was my point.
- 52:34Right.
- 52:34They uh well, your point is obvious here.
- 52:37It's very accurate.
- 52:38Uh, the statement, and so IQ, uh, there's a point to that.
- 52:41Do you think those statements should have been said on the on the on the world stage from Trump?
- 52:46Well, first of all, he wanted to explain to the Iranian people that they are not on their own.
- 52:53But he has no choice in the delay.
- 52:57You can't start a war unless you can finish it.
- 53:00100%.
- 53:01He doesn't want to start a war, he cannot finish.
- 53:03This war has to finish in 24 hours.
- 53:06Yeah.
- 53:06That's my prediction, by the way.
- 53:08Well, in the first 24 hours, the the the IRGC will be decapitated.
- 53:14Well, you know, if that's going to depend now, my friend.
- 53:17That's going to depend if they're going for because a lot of times this country doesn't go for the gusto.
- 53:22We'll see if he does that.
- 53:23But many times they do just enough, but they don't go far enough.
- 53:26And frankly, uh, they know where the that regime is.
- 53:30I assume goal number one for Israel will be to take them out.
- 53:33Uh I make is you do you think IQ that's going to be left to Israel to do?
- 53:38Most probably, yes.
- 53:39Don't forget, between America and Israel, they will have over 1,000 aircraft.
- 53:44Yeah.
- 53:45In modern times, 1,000 aircraft is equal to 10,000 uh bombers of lost uh in the last second world war.
- 53:53Yeah, it's unbelievable.
- 53:54Yeah, yeah.
- 53:55The firepower that America has today.
- 53:57All right, between her and Israel is enormous.
- 54:01And extremely accurate.
- 54:02I want to get to another point now for time here.
- 54:04Uh Ilana, uh, do you see that uh there are people here at home that have a totally different opinion than you?
- 54:11Uh make America greater people, the MAGA folks itself, a great part of our audience here for sure.
- 54:17America first, absolutely.
- 54:19Uh, and they think this is another war in the Middle East that we have done far too often, and they do not want foreign intervention into these uh conflicts.
- 54:29They want to stay the hell out.
- 54:30And we have a lot of people on our network who would back that up, a good part of them.
- 54:34The this country is divided on this conbody is they a lot of people don't agree with your assessment, Alana, and going in there for the kill and IQ's assessment as well.
- 54:44They think America should be hands-off.
- 54:45What do you say to that?
- 54:47Well, I think that the one of the problems that people who believe that uh have is that they don't they it does they don't understand or they don't accept the fact that Iran poses an existential threat to us.
- 55:04Exactly.
- 55:05It's not that they're over there and they're developing their nukes and they'll use them wherever.
- 55:09They're gonna use them on us.
- 55:11That's what their plan is.
- 55:12And and we have got to we have got to take them out, otherwise they're going to be uh uh they're going to be attacking nuclear weapons.
- 55:22Yeah, of big Satan, little Satan, big Satan.
- 55:24And we're big Satan, and they are determined.
- 55:27That's what they call us.
- 55:28And uh death to America, death to Israel is a pretty common uh uh talking point uh on the streets of Iran for sure here.
- 55:36Uh the Iranian people are looking to be liberated, obviously, but just like the Venezuelan people and the people in Cuba and all of that around the world.
- 55:43We're we're in a shift right now around the world.
- 55:46At the same time, Europe, as IQ points out, is doing all these other things.
- 55:49Uh, but there's a shift happening in the world.
- 55:52Uh so at this point here, Ilana, back to Iran.
- 55:55Do you have any uh do you believe this attack will happen now?
- 55:59Do you are you convinced with IQ?
- 56:01Oh, yes, I do, and I think um Israel is it will be in in the mix in in some way coordinating with uh the United States in in finishing off the this government, which should have been finished off a long time ago, but at least uh hopefully um well, and that's another thing people have to see to the argument of what you just said is the terror they create around the world.
- 56:24I mean, it's incredible terror.
- 56:25They're the they're the world's state sponsor of terror, correct?
- 56:29Right?
- 56:29They're the state sponsor uh of terror, they're the benefactors of Hamas and Hezbollah and and um uh you know, uh the a whole range and they're and we're they're right here in in the United States, but they're they're they created an organization called that we call they call care and Muslim Brotherhood here too.
- 56:47Yeah, and they are a Muslim Brotherhood and they are the supporters of Hamas in the United States.
- 56:52Yeah, exactly.
- 56:53Yeah, no, they are they're here, but look what there's a lot of bad people here uh trying to vote um and uh do do their thing here.
- 57:00All right, IQ, you think this is gonna be last word?
- 57:03Yes, it's gonna be successful then.
- 57:05You think this uh this this Middle East East uh deal here this time around, huh?
- 57:10It's a surgical operation, it will be very successful, yes.
- 57:13Yeah, all right.
- 57:14And the people who object among the Americans, ask him a simple question.
- 57:19When Iran has a an atom bomb, and they have the ischatology of Armageddon, whereby their Messiah will only appear during a catastrophic war in which Shia Islam will rule the whole world.
- 57:36What are they going to do when that happens and they have the missiles to deliver it to America?
- 57:41Yeah, that that sums up the point that Alana was just making as well.
- 57:45Wow.
- 57:45That is the reality of that moment, friends.
- 57:48See, there's a lot of angles to this story.
- 57:50It's one thing, part of the argument we talk about here often uh and on this network, part of is part of Make America Great Again, uh national security foreign policy.
- 58:01And that's an argument and a debate that we have here often on the network.
- 58:05There are those who want to stay inside here and not pay attention to these affairs, but then again, what does the world look like if that happens?
- 58:12It's a it's a reasonable conversation and one we need to be having often here.
- 58:16And we do have it.
- 58:17Uh we're just having it right here.
- 58:20Uh there's there's good and bad in these conversations.
- 58:22There's pros and cons to be sure.
- 58:25I I don't fall on one side or the other uh these things.
- 58:28My goal is to put the information out there and uh really have you understand the gravity of the moment of what we're we're up against here.
- 58:36Uh big thank you here to Ilana Friedman, IQ Alberzo Lee.
- 58:40Uh and what a program.
- 58:41What a very interesting broadcast today, covering these major stories uh here.
- 58:46Friends, thank you for joining us on the mission here.
- 58:49It's time to get involved and get loud, America.
