- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show on 710WOR. Hey, let's take
- 0:08Speaker 1: some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go to Frank
- 0:14Speaker 1: in Huntington. Frank, how you doing?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hey, Mark. Good morning.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Hey, hold it down. People are sleeping here.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Mark, I love your show.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Mark, for the whole week, everyone has been saying you
- 0:25Speaker 2: can watch the debate on Channel 1. I told all
- 0:29Speaker 2: my friends and family to watch Channel 1. I put
- 0:33Speaker 2: on Channel 1 and it wasn't on. I couldn't find it.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Well, you live out in Huntington. You got that horrible
- 0:38Speaker 1: cable service Optimum, right?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Right, exactly.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you got that News 12.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:45Speaker 2: So I went to Channel 64, but you have to
- 0:48Speaker 2: have a special program.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's why she wanted to do it on
- 0:53Speaker 1: New York One, because nobody has New York One. Nobody
- 0:55Speaker 1: sees New York One. It has 12 viewers.
- 0:57Speaker 2: What a shame. I really wanted to watch it.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You can watch it. It's up on YouTube. Go watch
- 1:01Speaker 1: it on YouTube.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Oh, that's great, Mark. Thank you. I really enjoyed the
- 1:05Speaker 2: extra hour.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Thanks. Everybody can watch the debate. It's up on YouTube.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Just go to YouTube. You can see the whole thing.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It's only one hour, but you can watch it on YouTube.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how you doing?
- 1:17Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark.
- 1:18Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 1:19Speaker 3: Good.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I have a favor to ask. In the next couple
- 1:22Speaker 4: of weeks, well, in the next two weeks or so,
- 1:24Speaker 4: when you have financial people on, could you ask them, like,
- 1:28Speaker 4: what's the best strategy if the Democrats do take over
- 1:31Speaker 4: as far as the stock market? Like, what stocks might
- 1:34Speaker 4: go up? What stocks to sell? How it's going to
- 1:35Speaker 4: affect us? I'm not saying that we're going to lose.
- 1:38Speaker 4: But I'm saying if you could just get some people
- 1:40Speaker 4: to tell us how to handle the fact that the
- 1:43Speaker 4: House might go.
- 1:46Speaker 1: First of all, those guys never know what stocks to buy.
- 1:49Speaker 1: When you ask them, they're always wrong. You know what?
- 1:52Speaker 1: You want to know? Ask Charles Payne. Watch Charles Payne.
- 1:55Speaker 1: He always gets it right. But the great economists, the
- 1:59Speaker 1: great financial experts, they never know what stocks to buy.
- 2:02Speaker 1: But all stocks.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Now are on a tear. But if the Democrats come in...
- 2:08Speaker 4: Won't that turn, I mean, their plan is to get
- 2:11Speaker 4: rid of the oil, so won't that make the oil
- 2:14Speaker 4: price stocks go down?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's kind of a no-brainer. Yeah, that's a no-brainer. But,
- 2:21Speaker 1: you know, you buy stock in the green energy companies.
- 2:24Speaker 1: First of all, Democrats always bring the stock market down
- 2:27Speaker 1: a little bit. Don't worry about it. Just, again, just
- 2:30Speaker 1: invest safely. Let's buy an S & P 500 fund.
- 2:35Speaker 4: One more question. How can I get you to unblock
- 2:38Speaker 4: me on Twitter and Instagram?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Oh, you must have put up a bad comment.
- 2:43Speaker 4: You know, I saw you once at the cutting room
- 2:45Speaker 4: years and years ago, and I asked you, could you
- 2:48Speaker 4: please unblock me? This makes no sense. And you said,
- 2:50Speaker 4: I don't handle this. Who can I get in touch
- 2:53Speaker 4: with to do this for me?
- 2:54Speaker 1: If you got blocked, it's because you put up a
- 2:55Speaker 1: bad comment.
- 2:57Speaker 4: But find it. There was no bad comment.
- 2:59Speaker 1: No, there was.
- 2:59Speaker 4: I mean, I've been your fan for years.
- 3:01Speaker 1: There's no other way to block you except from a
- 3:04Speaker 1: bad comment.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Okay, how can I get unblocked?
- 3:07Speaker 1: Well, a bad comment could be that you said something
- 3:11Speaker 1: nasty about somebody, that we had to block that. Or
- 3:13Speaker 1: it could be there was a post about food or something,
- 3:16Speaker 1: and you put up something political, something inappropriate.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't remember if I did that.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But what I'm saying is, who handles your account that
- 3:24Speaker 4: I could ask them to unblock me?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Nobody. If you don't remember doing it, if you can't
- 3:29Speaker 1: acknowledge the problem, there's no way to solve it then.
- 3:32Speaker 4: But, like, you were at the cutting room, like, 12,
- 3:33Speaker 4: 14 years ago, right? It was a while ago. I
- 3:35Speaker 4: won a contest. And that was one of the prizes,
- 3:38Speaker 4: to go see you at the cutting room.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And the loser had to go see me twice.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Okay. Anyway, take care. Thank you.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Bye-bye.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Let's go to George in Long Island. George, how are
- 3:50Speaker 1: you doing?
- 3:51Speaker 5: Hi, Mark. You said everything correct. The problem is not
- 3:56Speaker 5: many people watched it. I don't know if the statistics
- 3:58Speaker 5: came out on the shelf. And believe it or not,
- 4:01Speaker 5: I have an MBA. Tell all your audience, don't buy
- 4:05Speaker 5: individual stocks. Buy ETFs, like you said, S & P 500,
- 4:10Speaker 5: and they'll be safe.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You shouldn't worry.
- 4:12Speaker 5: That's all I have to say. But don't take advice
- 4:14Speaker 5: from me either.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no. Don't take advice from any of these people.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Even the great economists, they never know what stocks to buy.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike in Portchester. Mike, how are you doing? Mike,
- 4:28Speaker 1: are you there?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 1: We didn't wake you, did we? No, no, no.
- 4:35Speaker 3: I had to step out of my car. I called
- 4:40Speaker 3: because that debate last night is typical. I mean, she's
- 4:46Speaker 3: saying and blaming President Trump. In the meantime, she created
- 4:51Speaker 3: this fiasco of a state that doesn't prosecute these people.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Cuomo, Hochul, no bail, no jail, let all
- 5:05Speaker 1: the criminals loose. They want to close prisons, let everybody out.
- 5:09Speaker 1: ICE is coming in here to arrest criminals only. They're
- 5:13Speaker 1: not arresting legitimate citizens. They're arresting illegals who have specifically
- 5:16Speaker 1: committed crimes and are actual criminals. They're taking them out
- 5:20Speaker 1: of New York, taking them off the streets. It's the
- 5:23Speaker 1: reason the crime rate is dropping. And she wants to
- 5:26Speaker 1: stop that. So when it comes to crime, it's a no-brainer, obviously, Blakeman.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Let's go to Dave in Staten Island. Dave, how are
- 5:34Speaker 1: you doing?
- 5:35Speaker 3: Hi, Mark. Just a comment. Bruce needs to make Kathy
- 5:40Speaker 3: publicly define the words outward migration. And once she defines
- 5:46Speaker 3: those words.
- 5:48Speaker 1: He needs to have a... Well, that's why they don't
- 5:50Speaker 1: hire you as a debate coach. Outward migration. It's a
- 5:53Speaker 1: term that doesn't register with anybody. He said that in
- 5:56Speaker 1: the debate a couple of times. Everybody's leaving. People are
- 5:59Speaker 1: moving out. That's how you know when you're doing well.
- 6:03Speaker 1: We're actually number one in people leaving the state. Leaving.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Cuomo started that, too. Remember, Cuomo was so bad as governor.
- 6:13Speaker 1: There was a period of a year and a half
- 6:15Speaker 1: where you couldn't get a moving van. You couldn't get
- 6:17Speaker 1: a moving company. They were all tied up with so
- 6:19Speaker 1: many people fleeing New York. Let's go to Bill in Idaho. Bill,
- 6:23Speaker 1: how are you doing?
- 6:25Speaker 3: Hey, Mark, how are you?
- 6:27Speaker 6: I worked in the New York 210 census and the
- 6:32Speaker 6: 220 COVID census. And for that one, the second one,
- 6:36Speaker 6: no one counted anything. The offices were mostly closed. And
- 6:40Speaker 6: then the feds ruled that they overcounted by 625,000 people,
- 6:43Speaker 6: which should have cost New York two seats. But New
- 6:50Speaker 6: York just said, screw that. We're only eliminating one seat.
- 6:53Speaker 6: Why aren't the Republicans all over that?
- 6:57Speaker 1: Well, because it may not be true. Who knows? We're
- 6:59Speaker 1: taking your word for it. But, yeah, the census, it's
- 7:03Speaker 1: usually a mess. They count illegals. They count everything in there.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You know, the other problem, when you lose all these people,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you lose congressional seats. Under Cuomo, we lost two or
- 7:12Speaker 1: three congressional seats because so many people left the state. Hey,
- 7:16Speaker 1: speaking of great economists, we've got one coming up next.
- 7:18Speaker 1: We'll talk to Steve Moore, we hope, coming up next
- 7:22Speaker 1: on 710WOR.
