- 0:09Speaker 4: Bang, boom.
- 0:10Speaker 3: What you gonna do?
- 0:11Speaker 5: John Jay and Rich. We're not talking about Ren 1010.
- 0:14Speaker 6: We're not talking about Lassie.
- 0:16Speaker 7: It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 8: The classy, sassy, big Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle.
- 0:19Speaker 3: In your face to me.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Man in the place to be.
- 0:22Speaker 8: And you're listening to John Jay and Rich.
- 0:24Speaker 6: Wake your ass up.
- 0:25Speaker 3: All right, so today's national what?
- 0:27Speaker 8: Dress like a dork day.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Oh, I knew it. What a coincidence.
- 0:32Speaker 8: You guys got that down. It is also, I'm a
- 0:35Speaker 8: little worried about this one, evaluate your life day. I
- 0:38Speaker 8: don't know that that should start off a week when
- 0:40Speaker 8: you've got to go over all your things. And it's
- 0:41Speaker 8: national new friends day. When's the last time you actually
- 0:45Speaker 8: made a new friend?
- 0:47Speaker 9: Like a month ago.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Oh, you have?
- 0:48Speaker 10: Yeah. That's great.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah. I kind of like, I kind of had like
- 0:51Speaker 3: new friends.
- 0:53Speaker 11: Which is big for you, John Jay.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I went to Ellen Langley with a new friend last week.
- 0:56Speaker 9: That's awesome.
- 0:56Speaker 12: Right?
- 0:57Speaker 3: I mean, a new friend for me. He's like, I've
- 0:59Speaker 3: had him. He's been my friend. I've had him for
- 1:00Speaker 3: like two years.
- 1:00Speaker 13: Now, I remember when you were deciding on whether or
- 1:03Speaker 13: not you were going to accept the invite, you were
- 1:04Speaker 13: worried that he was not going to like you anymore
- 1:07Speaker 13: after because you would be not a great concert friend.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I'm not a good concert person to go with.
- 1:11Speaker 8: How did it go?
- 1:12Speaker 3: I think I did a good job. I had a
- 1:13Speaker 3: good time.
- 1:14Speaker 8: I think I did a good job. Did you dance?
- 1:16Speaker 8: I didn't dance, but it was standing in a room
- 1:17Speaker 8: where I was standing shoulder to shoulder.
- 1:18Speaker 9: You just vibed?
- 1:19Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:19Speaker 3: That's good. But I got to tell you guys something that.
- 1:23Speaker 3: This blows my mind, something I learned today. You remember
- 1:27Speaker 3: when they remodeled the whole everything and made everything red
- 1:29Speaker 3: and the kitchen's red and everything?
- 1:30Speaker 15: Yeah, of course.
- 1:31Speaker 3: You remember when that was?
- 1:31Speaker 9: Oh, like at work?
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it was like 10 years ago, maybe. Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 8: Red carpet, red walls.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I'm one of those guys, and I've told you guys
- 1:37Speaker 3: this before. It's no secret. In my house, there's a
- 1:40Speaker 3: table there that I don't recognize, but it's been there
- 1:43Speaker 3: for years, or a picture. I don't know what you
- 1:45Speaker 3: call that, what kind of person you are with that.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I don't know certain things. Oblivious? Oblivious to certain things,
- 1:50Speaker 3: but some things I'm not. I'm hypersensitive.
- 1:53Speaker 8: Yeah, if Kyle ever showed up with chip nail polish,
- 1:55Speaker 8: you would notice.
- 1:56Speaker 3: If Kyle has chip nail polish, I'd notice right away.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Something happened this morning, and it blew my freaking mind
- 2:03Speaker 3: here at this radio station. Blew my mind. So we
- 2:07Speaker 3: have functions here all the time, client parties, whatever, right?
- 2:10Speaker 3: And in the kitchen, there's this keg that's there. You
- 2:13Speaker 3: see the tap? Yeah. I've always thought that was a
- 2:17Speaker 3: beer keg and it was there for whenever we had parties.
- 2:19Speaker 3: And I always thought it was empty. I was just like,
- 2:21Speaker 3: there's just this empty beer keg, this tap there, whatever.
- 2:24Speaker 3: So I told you guys a couple of weeks ago,
- 2:26Speaker 3: we've been out of espresso for a long time. And
- 2:28Speaker 3: I saw the lady that runs the, I said, hey, Lauren,
- 2:31Speaker 3: when we get new espresso? And she goes, you know,
- 2:33Speaker 3: it's on back order and they only have this brand
- 2:35Speaker 3: and we don't have it yet. She goes over, she
- 2:37Speaker 3: points to the tap, the beer tap. She goes, but
- 2:40Speaker 3: we got this cold brew here that's pretty good. I go,
- 2:42Speaker 3: cold brew? What cold brew? She goes, right here, this
- 2:45Speaker 3: is a cold... I go, that's cold brew? She goes, yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 3: She goes, it's been here forever. They refill it once
- 2:51Speaker 3: a week. I go, what are you talking about?
- 2:53Speaker 11: I didn't know that.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Really?
- 2:55Speaker 16: Good.
- 2:55Speaker 11: I didn't know that.
- 2:56Speaker 3: I walk over and... It's freaking cold brew. That's what's
- 3:00Speaker 3: in this cup. And it says on the thing, cold brew.
- 3:03Speaker 9: Yeah, but it looks like the handle. It looks like
- 3:05Speaker 9: a keg. It looks like a beer tap.
- 3:06Speaker 11: That's why I've never really looked closely at it.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Never looked at it, but it's right there in front
- 3:11Speaker 3: of us every day. So I'm drinking cold brew right now,
- 3:13Speaker 3: and I'm so excited.
- 3:14Speaker 8: It's pretty good, too.
- 3:15Speaker 15: You're not too far off, though, because in the other
- 3:18Speaker 15: front kitchen area where usually we have all the shindigs,
- 3:21Speaker 15: there's an actual beer keg up there.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Oh, so maybe that's why I thought of it?
- 3:25Speaker 15: So there's a cold brew one in like our little
- 3:28Speaker 15: area and then more so in the general public area
- 3:31Speaker 15: is where there's an actual beer.
- 3:32Speaker 3: But that changes my life because I would much rather
- 3:34Speaker 3: have a cold brew than a hot coffee.
- 3:36Speaker 8: Yeah, they're fresh. They switch it out, I would say,
- 3:40Speaker 8: every two weeks.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Lauren says every week.
- 3:42Speaker 9: But I didn't even know.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I don't know if that's true. I didn't know enough
- 3:45Speaker 3: people in this building were drinking the cold brew where
- 3:47Speaker 3: it has to be switched every week.
- 3:48Speaker 8: So you see the cups are on top.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Yes, I saw it all right now. That's what this
- 3:52Speaker 3: is right here.
- 3:53Speaker 8: When the cup's on the tap, that means we're out
- 3:55Speaker 8: of cold brew.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Oh, smart. Did you know that was cold brew then?
- 3:58Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm drinking it today.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I know, but have you been drinking it before? Did
- 4:01Speaker 3: Lauren tell you?
- 4:01Speaker 12: No, no.
- 4:03Speaker 8: I thought you didn't drink much coffee.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Look at you, rich gatekeeping the cold brew.
- 4:07Speaker 17: For 10 years.
- 4:08Speaker 8: Every now and then, I have some. Like, I just
- 4:10Speaker 8: had a little bit today just because I wanted some.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Blew my mind that that's a cold brew thing right there. Corinne, Corinne,
- 4:17Speaker 3: you're on the air. I was told to pick you
- 4:18Speaker 3: up right away.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm on my truck phone, and I
- 4:22Speaker 1: know you hate that, John Jay, but I just made
- 4:24Speaker 1: the weirdest 911 call.
- 4:26Speaker 3: A weird 911? Okay, what happened? Tell us.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Well, I'm on my way to work, and I commute,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and I'm in Salem, Oregon. It's the capital of Oregon.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's about an hour south of Portland, and I'm heading
- 4:38Speaker 1: towards Silverton, which is out in the country, but I'm
- 4:42Speaker 1: on a main road, on a busy road, and I
- 4:44Speaker 1: saw there was two horses. I thought they were homeless
- 4:47Speaker 1: people with blankets because... There's a ton of homeless people
- 4:51Speaker 1: on this road. And, oh, my God, I was freaking out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I was like, why are there two horses? They're literally
- 4:57Speaker 1: walking down the road in the middle of a very
- 5:01Speaker 1: busy street. And I'm following them. Then I had to
- 5:05Speaker 1: call 911 because I didn't know what to do. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: almost hit them.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Well, could you slow down and then honk?
- 5:11Speaker 2: I did.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I slowed down, but they were like, it's dark. And
- 5:15Speaker 1: they were like super confused, these horses.
- 5:17Speaker 8: I bet.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And they're literally walking. They're walking down the road like
- 5:20Speaker 1: they're cars.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Do they have saddles on them, or do they look
- 5:24Speaker 8: like they're wild, or do they look like they belong
- 5:26Speaker 8: to somebody?
- 5:27Speaker 1: They belong to somebody. They belong to somebody. They had
- 5:30Speaker 1: blankets on. You know how horses have blankets?
- 5:32Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You guys are in Arizona, so I don't really know
- 5:36Speaker 1: what it is.
- 5:36Speaker 3: We got horses here, too. We got a lot of horses.
- 5:39Speaker 3: And here, people drop their kids off at school on horses.
- 5:41Speaker 3: It's crazy here. I would have got on the horse, man.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I would have parked my car, got on the horse,
- 5:47Speaker 3: and went, get him. I would have done one of those.
- 5:50Speaker 8: I live so far out, there's a horse tie-up at
- 5:53Speaker 8: the Circle K.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that's huge. That's great.
- 5:56Speaker 14: Oh, wow.
- 5:57Speaker 18: Okay, okay.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Well, anyway, I'm like, what do I do? Because, like,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I literally thought, I was like, oh, no, this homeless guy,
- 6:04Speaker 1: you know, I thought he was covering himself with a blanket.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And then I got closer, and I was like, holy crumb,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know, they're horses. And then I thought, well, what
- 6:14Speaker 1: do you do? Do I get out and try and
- 6:16Speaker 1: guide them? And I was just like, no, I'm going
- 6:19Speaker 1: to call 911.
- 6:19Speaker 3: And when you call 911, what did the operator say
- 6:23Speaker 3: when you said, there's two horses in front of me
- 6:25Speaker 3: on the road taking their time? What did that person say?
- 6:28Speaker 1: She was like, what? She was like, homeless? You know,
- 6:33Speaker 1: because I said Silverton Road, and it's like known for homeless.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And I said, no horses.
- 6:38Speaker 3: By the way, did you guys know that there's a
- 6:40Speaker 3: difference between, did you know, Corinne, there's a difference between
- 6:43Speaker 3: a hobo, a tramp, and a bum?
- 6:46Speaker 8: Okay, go on.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Did you guys know that?
- 6:49Speaker 14: No.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Okay, what is this?
- 6:51Speaker 13: I feel like we know the difference. A tramp is
- 6:54Speaker 13: maybe like given a different name.
- 6:57Speaker 11: Like a hobo and like what was the first one?
- 7:01Speaker 8: A bum.
- 7:01Speaker 3: A hobo, a tramp, and a bum.
- 7:04Speaker 13: OK, if I had to guess, maybe a hobo chooses
- 7:07Speaker 13: that lifestyle. A bum maybe did not choose that lifestyle.
- 7:11Speaker 13: And a tramp has something totally different meaning.
- 7:14Speaker 8: Is one of them like you like live on a
- 7:16Speaker 8: train or something?
- 7:16Speaker 3: Wait, when you say different meaning, you mean like sexual?
- 7:18Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 12: No.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Here's the thing. A hobo, a hobo travels around looking
- 7:24Speaker 3: for work.
- 7:25Speaker 12: OK.
- 7:26Speaker 3: A tramp only works when he has to. And bums
- 7:29Speaker 3: don't work at all.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 7:31Speaker 9: Samsonite.
- 7:32Speaker 8: I was way off. So if you get called a bum,
- 7:34Speaker 8: a bum, that's bad.
- 7:35Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 7:36Speaker 9: I've met a handful of bums in my life.
- 7:39Speaker 16: You guys should make that a bit.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Hobo, tramp, or a bum, and then you can say
- 7:45Speaker 1: whether they're from Florida or what state, you know.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Hey, be careful on those 9-1-1 calls. And thanks for listening, friend.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Have a great day. Drive safe.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Have a good one.
- 8:00Speaker 13: Bye.
- 8:01Speaker 19: Yeah, bye.
- 8:03Speaker 3: All right, it's time for Peyton's predictions for Horoscope. Peyton,
- 8:07Speaker 3: what's the vibe today?
- 8:08Speaker 15: I am letting you know how your zodiac sign acts
- 8:11Speaker 15: when you are stuck in traffic. I know a lot
- 8:13Speaker 15: of you guys are stuck in traffic right now, so
- 8:15Speaker 15: I'm telling you exactly how you are. If it's your
- 8:18Speaker 15: birthday today, you are a Libra and you share a
- 8:20Speaker 15: birthday with Lil Durk. Kyle, your birthday was yesterday, so
- 8:23Speaker 15: happy belating.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Happy belating.
- 8:26Speaker 20: Yes, guys.
- 8:27Speaker 9: So I'll just start with Libras.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Oh, is there a Libra? Oh, there is a Libra here.
- 8:30Speaker 14: Hold on.
- 8:31Speaker 3: And it's her birthday too. Reina, happy birthday.
- 8:33Speaker 11: Reina!
- 8:34Speaker 8: Happy birthday!
- 8:38Speaker 21: Thank you guys.
- 8:39Speaker 15: Okay, I am telling you how you guys act when
- 8:43Speaker 15: you guys are stuck in traffic. So my Libras, you
- 8:46Speaker 15: guys will spend 20 minutes trying to be like super
- 8:48Speaker 15: sweet and let five cards merge ahead of you. But
- 8:51Speaker 15: you're only going to create a massive 50 car backup
- 8:54Speaker 15: behind yourself because you just couldn't keep driving.
- 8:58Speaker 5: That's funny.
- 8:59Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 21: Literally coming back from vacation from California.
- 9:02Speaker 4: And yep, you're right.
- 9:03Speaker 8: And then you're like, dang it.
- 9:06Speaker 13: Why does everyone keep going in front of me?
- 9:10Speaker 7: That's funny.
- 9:11Speaker 9: Well, have the best day. Happy birthday.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Close your door.
- 9:14Speaker 18: Thank you so much.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Bye. Bye, Raina.
- 9:16Speaker 15: Bye.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Ronnie, good morning. What's your sign?
- 9:19Speaker 18: I'm a Sagittarius.
- 9:20Speaker 9: Okay, Sagittarius.
- 9:21Speaker 15: So when you guys are stuck in traffic, you will
- 9:23Speaker 15: get bored after like three seconds of sitting still, and
- 9:26Speaker 15: you will loudly proclaim like, nah, not today. And you
- 9:29Speaker 15: are impulsively taking a stretchy off-road detour through a gas
- 9:33Speaker 15: station parking lot just to cut the lines.
- 9:37Speaker 22: That makes sense because I'm driving over all day, so.
- 9:39Speaker 8: I guarantee that.
- 9:40Speaker 9: Yeah, you know all the shortcuts.
- 9:43Speaker 23: Yes, absolutely.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Thanks, Ronnie. Thanks for listening.
- 9:46Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 9:46Speaker 3: How about Pisces?
- 9:48Speaker 15: Rich when you're stuck in traffic you will rest your
- 9:50Speaker 15: forehead against the glass at red lights pretending that you're
- 9:52Speaker 15: like staring off into the sunset and then you already
- 9:55Speaker 15: spilled your iced coffee into your lap too so you're
- 9:58Speaker 15: really just a hot.
- 9:59Speaker 9: Mess when it comes to your car in general and driving.
- 10:02Speaker 8: It's true but you know the playlist matters when you're
- 10:04Speaker 8: stuck in traffic too that's very makes it a little
- 10:06Speaker 8: more cinematic.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah How about Leo's?
- 10:08Speaker 9: Okay, I'm a Leo.
- 10:09Speaker 15: We will roll down every single window when we are
- 10:12Speaker 15: stuck in traffic, turn the volume up to the absolute max,
- 10:15Speaker 15: and put on a full-on performance for every single commuter
- 10:18Speaker 15: stuck around us. And this is so true. 100% something
- 10:21Speaker 15: I would do. You are going to hear me sing
- 10:23Speaker 15: Defying Gravity.
- 10:28Speaker 3: How about Virgo's?
- 10:29Speaker 9: Okay, John Jay.
- 10:30Speaker 15: You take one look at the red brake light stretched
- 10:33Speaker 15: out into miles, and you are immediately panicked.
- 10:36Speaker 9: It's like, in your.
- 10:37Speaker 15: Mind, you are like, oh my gosh, I'm going to
- 10:39Speaker 15: be stuck in this traffic for hours, and you will
- 10:41Speaker 15: start to get dramatically misty-eyed because you.
- 10:44Speaker 9: Want to cry.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Oh, I thought you'd say, because then I turn and
- 10:46Speaker 3: try to do a shortcut. If I see brake lights
- 10:49Speaker 3: on my way home, I just go down a different
- 10:51Speaker 3: street immediately because I don't want to get stuck in traffic.
- 10:53Speaker 3: All right, very good. If we didn't get to your sign,
- 10:55Speaker 3: then I'll post it on our website, johnjainrich.com.
- 10:59Speaker 24: That's why I love her.
- 11:03Speaker 3: It's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of information.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Rich has life hacks. Remember I was telling you guys
- 11:08Speaker 3: about things that have a definition and we didn't know
- 11:11Speaker 3: about the word, the hashtag. What's it called again?
- 11:14Speaker 8: It's a.
- 11:14Speaker 9: Ampersand?
- 11:15Speaker 3: No, it's a.
- 11:16Speaker 8: Something with an H.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 8: Kind of horticulture. No, it's a.
- 11:19Speaker 3: It's got a weird name. I can't remember.
- 11:21Speaker 14: Horoscope.
- 11:21Speaker 5: It's a.
- 11:22Speaker 8: Something with an H.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Either way, there's something else. You know that little piece
- 11:24Speaker 3: of paper sticking out of a Hershey's Kiss?
- 11:27Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that actually has a name. It's called a plume.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It was added in 1921 as a flag for the
- 11:33Speaker 3: brand to separate kisses from the other competitors' products.
- 11:36Speaker 9: It is pretty cute.
- 11:37Speaker 3: A plume. A plume. A plume. There's a silly social
- 11:41Speaker 3: media post, but I want you to think about it
- 11:42Speaker 3: for a second. Would you let a hungry vampire suck
- 11:45Speaker 3: your blood, assuming you wouldn't die or turn into a vampire?
- 11:48Speaker 9: Yeah, if it was Michael B. Jordan's version, yes.
- 11:50Speaker 11: I was like, kind of depends on the vampire, I guess.
- 11:52Speaker 9: Like when he turns into a vampire at the end
- 11:54Speaker 9: of Sinners?
- 11:54Speaker 3: 58% of people say they'd be okay with it if
- 11:57Speaker 3: you think about it. You're just letting them get their nutrition,
- 12:01Speaker 3: but I bet you would kind of feel good.
- 12:03Speaker 20: Ouch.
- 12:03Speaker 8: I mean, let's say you had to get rid of
- 12:04Speaker 8: some blood anyway because you got high iron.
- 12:06Speaker 9: I'm like, have we never seen Twilight?
- 12:08Speaker 15: Because that was really aggressive when Edward made Bella a
- 12:11Speaker 15: vampire and she.
- 12:12Speaker 9: Was in a lot of pain.
- 12:13Speaker 3: You're not being turned into a vampire. According to this test,
- 12:16Speaker 3: you're not being turned into a vampire and you're not
- 12:19Speaker 3: going to die. So I think it would kind of
- 12:21Speaker 3: feel good.
- 12:21Speaker 9: It would depend on the vampire.
- 12:23Speaker 3: New study looked into the cost of social life across
- 12:26Speaker 3: the continental U.S., like going to clubs and everything. The
- 12:29Speaker 3: most expensive place, most expensive city? New York City. The
- 12:33Speaker 3: least expensive is somewhere anywhere in South Dakota.
- 12:36Speaker 8: They have clubs there?
- 12:37Speaker 9: There's not much around.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Did you guys hear about the Mr. England beauty pageant?
- 12:42Speaker 15: No.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Okay, so there was one where they're going to crown
- 12:45Speaker 3: a winner who's the best looking man in England. And
- 12:48Speaker 3: they had to cancel it, move it, because there's a
- 12:49Speaker 3: national hunk shortage there. They couldn't find any good-looking guys
- 12:54Speaker 3: to participate, so they're moving in for five weeks from now.
- 12:56Speaker 9: How sad.
- 12:57Speaker 3: There's a wellness trend going around TikTok called floor time.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Have you seen this yet?
- 13:01Speaker 9: Is this just where you lay on the floor?
- 13:02Speaker 3: The idea is pretty simple. You spend a few minutes
- 13:04Speaker 3: sitting or lying on the floor to give yourself a
- 13:06Speaker 3: chance to slow down, stretch, and let go of some stress.
- 13:09Speaker 9: Yeah, I do that all the time.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You do?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 3: BuzzFeed has a list of horrific standards that have become
- 13:15Speaker 3: normal even though they're messed up. It includes stuff like overworking...
- 13:20Speaker 3: rudeness and bullying, ghosting people, and looking at your phone
- 13:23Speaker 3: while driving. Kind of makes sense.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Think about that.
- 13:26Speaker 8: Especially the last one. Don't want to do that.
- 13:28Speaker 3: You don't want to do that, but it's something that
- 13:29Speaker 3: happens all the time. It's hard not to do. Yeah.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Lazy Gen Zers online are looking for jobs that pay
- 13:39Speaker 3: the most for doing the least amount of work.
- 13:43Speaker 8: Well, this is helpful. What are they? We want to
- 13:45Speaker 8: know about that.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Real estate agents, politicians, middle management and tech sales are
- 13:51Speaker 3: the top.
- 13:51Speaker 15: You know what I don't love was the beginning of
- 13:54Speaker 15: that title, like lazy Gen Z workers trying to find
- 13:58Speaker 15: more higher paying job. To me, I'm like, you're just
- 14:00Speaker 15: thinking a little bit more logically. Like, I want to
- 14:03Speaker 15: go and think ahead to go find a gig that
- 14:05Speaker 15: doesn't have as much work, but more pay.
- 14:07Speaker 9: I don't think that's lazy. I think it's smart and innovative.
- 14:11Speaker 11: It's probably called life maxing.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Get a job in something you really, really love to do.
- 14:15Speaker 15: But sometimes things don't really pay well when you really,
- 14:17Speaker 15: really love it.
- 14:18Speaker 9: And have you seen the economy lately?
- 14:19Speaker 10: It sucks.
- 14:20Speaker 9: Yeah, it's bad.
- 14:21Speaker 3: By the way, speaking of politicians, one of them, I
- 14:24Speaker 3: heard this political campaign ad slamming somebody running for governor.
- 14:28Speaker 3: And I thought this person must be a good governor
- 14:31Speaker 3: because I thought the slam was lame.
- 14:34Speaker 8: They care about people.
- 14:35Speaker 3: But, dude, it was like it was like I think
- 14:37Speaker 3: it was for the current governor. Like Katie Hobbs was
- 14:40Speaker 3: a professional, was a Katie Hobbs, was a professor at
- 14:43Speaker 3: the university. And then it cut to who someone complained
- 14:45Speaker 3: about her. She said, like, um, a whole bunch of times.
- 14:48Speaker 5: That's it.
- 14:50Speaker 3: Um, she says, um, a lot like who doesn't say, um,
- 14:53Speaker 3: a lot. You have to, we even came up with
- 14:55Speaker 3: a game called the um game. All right. How many
- 14:57Speaker 3: times can you, can you talk about a subject for
- 14:59Speaker 3: 60 seconds without saying the word?
- 15:01Speaker 8: Um, you can't, it's impossible.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Like if that's the slam keeper in office, now I'm
- 15:05Speaker 3: going to have everybody being all pissed off me. Don't
- 15:08Speaker 3: get political.
- 15:08Speaker 8: I'm not political.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Couple in Idaho were on their way to a wedding
- 15:12Speaker 3: and there was a highway closure that delay. They were
- 15:15Speaker 3: the ones getting married. So two strangers stepped in to
- 15:18Speaker 3: make sure they got to the ceremony in time. One
- 15:20Speaker 3: of the strangers had enough room on his small dirt
- 15:23Speaker 3: bike to put the groom on it. And then they
- 15:26Speaker 3: waved down a woman on an ATV and they put
- 15:28Speaker 3: the bride on it.
- 15:28Speaker 8: The guy had the bride on the back of a motorcycle?
- 15:30Speaker 3: Yeah, but this is the way he pitched it.
- 15:32Speaker 10: He's asking, hey, do you know how long this closure
- 15:35Speaker 10: is going to be? I've got to get to my
- 15:36Speaker 10: wedding in an hour. We're not going to be able
- 15:38Speaker 10: to get through with the vehicles, but... I'm gonna get
- 15:41Speaker 10: you to your wedding.
- 15:42Speaker 4: It's not a two-seater, right?
- 15:43Speaker 6: It's a very small electric bike.
- 15:45Speaker 10: And you're gonna hold me and hug me like that
- 15:47Speaker 10: scene in Dumb and Dumber with Harry and Lloyd.
- 15:50Speaker 9: You know, everything happens for a reason.
- 15:52Speaker 6: God, man, yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 15:55Speaker 10: They'll take those bumps in the road and they'll put
- 15:58Speaker 10: a smile on their face and they'll get through it together.
- 16:00Speaker 10: And I think that that's, I'm just really happy that
- 16:04Speaker 10: I got to experience that.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Isn't that nice?
- 16:08Speaker 11: Restores your faith in humanity.
- 16:10Speaker 3: What do you have for life hacks, Rich?
- 16:11Speaker 8: Okay, so I'm going to tell you how to survive
- 16:13Speaker 8: a haunted house. I don't think people here really, besides Peyton,
- 16:16Speaker 8: like haunted houses.
- 16:17Speaker 9: I love a good haunted house.
- 16:18Speaker 8: I know Kyle hates a haunted house. And I know
- 16:19Speaker 8: John Jay likes it.
- 16:20Speaker 9: I know, she won't go with me. She keeps hurting
- 16:22Speaker 9: me down.
- 16:22Speaker 11: More haunted house for you.
- 16:24Speaker 8: I can tell you how to survive, Kyle. There's two
- 16:26Speaker 8: big things. One, don't make eye contact ever. Haunted house actors,
- 16:30Speaker 8: they like a big reaction. So if you look terrified
- 16:33Speaker 8: and you're an easy target... Keep a straight face. Look
- 16:35Speaker 8: past them. Keep walking. But here's the most important thing.
- 16:39Speaker 8: Do not be the first in line. Do not be
- 16:42Speaker 8: the last in line. You want to be in the
- 16:43Speaker 8: middle of your group. The actors are the scary people
- 16:47Speaker 8: in The Haunted House. They always go after the person
- 16:49Speaker 8: leading the pack. Or the poor soul bringing up the rear.
- 16:53Speaker 8: So if you follow those, you will survive haunted house season.
- 16:57Speaker 9: Can I add to your hack?
- 16:58Speaker 8: Yeah, let's go.
- 16:59Speaker 15: Okay, so if you do like haunted houses and you
- 17:01Speaker 15: really want to be scared, you only go in by
- 17:03Speaker 15: yourself or with an extra person.
- 17:04Speaker 9: Because when you have a whole big group, they all
- 17:06Speaker 9: ruin it.
- 17:07Speaker 15: They all ruin it because everyone can see them coming
- 17:09Speaker 15: up from the left and the right.
- 17:10Speaker 9: So go in a duo. Don't go in a big group.
- 17:13Speaker 8: That's a different sort of life hack if somebody wants
- 17:16Speaker 8: the full experience. That life hack and many more can
- 17:18Speaker 8: be found at johnjandrich.com.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 17:21Speaker 9: Wake up every morning. Start your day with John Jay
- 17:24Speaker 9: and Rich.
- 17:25Speaker 25: I wake up with my favorite artist.
- 17:26Speaker 12: Hey, this is Sabrina Carpenter.
- 17:27Speaker 3: What's up, guys?
- 17:28Speaker 7: This is Post Malone.
- 17:29Speaker 3: It's Benson Boone.
- 17:30Speaker 11: And you're waking up with John Jay and Rich.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Rich, do you have a timer? You do for a
- 17:34Speaker 3: minute to win it. In fact, I need a minute timer.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Yeah, I got one.
- 17:36Speaker 3: All right. This came up earlier on the show. I
- 17:38Speaker 3: was talking about a politician running for office. And the
- 17:40Speaker 3: only slam they could come up with is that the
- 17:42Speaker 3: person said, um, too much. Peyton, I'm going to try
- 17:44Speaker 3: to play the um game with you.
- 17:45Speaker 7: Oh, gosh.
- 17:46Speaker 9: Okay. Last time we played this, I actually passed. So
- 17:48Speaker 9: let's see it.
- 17:48Speaker 15: Okay.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Okay. I'm going to ask you. You have one minute.
- 17:51Speaker 3: You cannot say um or uh. You can't say anything
- 17:54Speaker 3: like that. And you can't pause for longer than a second.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I want you to explain your job to a five-year-old.
- 17:58Speaker 7: Go.
- 17:59Speaker 15: So what I do for work is it's really cool.
- 18:01Speaker 15: I get to wake up super early in the morning.
- 18:04Speaker 15: I hear the birds chirp.
- 18:05Speaker 9: I hop in my car. I drive in. It's really quiet.
- 18:08Speaker 15: But once I get to work, it's always such a
- 18:10Speaker 15: good time because I hop on a microphone. I get
- 18:12Speaker 15: to work with my friends. So it's really cool.
- 18:15Speaker 9: We're on a show. It's called John Jay and Rich.
- 18:17Speaker 9: And what we do is we talk about pop culture.
- 18:19Speaker 9: Sometimes we get to talk about our lives, too, which
- 18:21Speaker 9: is really fun.
- 18:22Speaker 15: I also get to interview some really cool celebrities every
- 18:26Speaker 15: now and then. I get to go to a lot
- 18:27Speaker 15: of cool concerts. I get to talk about a lot
- 18:29Speaker 15: of local businesses.
- 18:31Speaker 9: And did I tell you, I get to work with
- 18:32Speaker 9: my friends. We have so much fun here.
- 18:35Speaker 15: So we're a radio station on 104.7 KISS FM.
- 18:38Speaker 9: So when you go get in.
- 18:39Speaker 15: The car with your mom, you're going to push that
- 18:41Speaker 15: on your little button. You know, the one that stays
- 18:43Speaker 15: because your mom.
- 18:43Speaker 9: Listens to us. You're going to tune in. You're going
- 18:45Speaker 9: to listen in the morning. That's what we do. We
- 18:47Speaker 9: make you laugh.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Well done. This is good. This is really good. Really,
- 18:52Speaker 3: really good.
- 18:53Speaker 8: I would vote for you for governor.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Kyle, you cannot say um or ah version of that, Kyle.
- 18:58Speaker 3: I need you to describe your first kiss in detail.
- 19:01Speaker 13: Well, to describe my first kiss in detail, I'd have
- 19:05Speaker 13: to remember my first kiss. So first, let me access
- 19:08Speaker 13: that file in my brain. I don't still have it.
- 19:11Speaker 13: I believe my first kiss was probably one of those
- 19:14Speaker 13: where I was like, finally, I got kissed because I
- 19:16Speaker 13: think I was.
- 19:17Speaker 11: Kind of a late bloomer.
- 19:18Speaker 13: Pretty sure it happened in eighth grade or the summer
- 19:22Speaker 13: between eighth grade and freshman year, which for a lot
- 19:25Speaker 13: of people is very late.
- 19:27Speaker 11: But for me, it was like, The.
- 19:30Speaker 8: Angels are singing.
- 19:31Speaker 9: It finally happened.
- 19:33Speaker 11: Do I remember that person's name? No, I do not.
- 19:36Speaker 11: Do I remember their face?
- 19:37Speaker 17: No, I do not.
- 19:38Speaker 11: But I do remember the feeling. And that was a
- 19:41Speaker 11: very special feeling.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Okay. Governor, you're in. Both of you.
- 19:45Speaker 8: I'm pretty strong.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Rich.
- 19:46Speaker 8: Me and Kyle for office.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Okay. You have a minute. You cannot... use um or
- 19:50Speaker 3: a version of that. Explain why your significant other is
- 19:53Speaker 3: always wrong. Just go, oh, I'm out.
- 19:56Speaker 8: That's the thing about Stacey, my lovely wife, being wrong.
- 20:00Speaker 8: She actually keeps a spreadsheet on her computer of all
- 20:03Speaker 8: the little skirmishes, of all the arguments we have throughout
- 20:06Speaker 8: the week. And so far.
- 20:14Speaker 9: No, you didn't.
- 20:15Speaker 3: No political office for you, sir. If you think about it.
- 20:19Speaker 8: We're in the background.
- 20:20Speaker 3: The way Kyle and Peyton did it, it's just so
- 20:22Speaker 3: much fluff. There's so much fluff. They're not giving you answers.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Not giving you answers. So I guess it is a
- 20:28Speaker 3: good slam. They couldn't say uh or uh. Anyway, there
- 20:33Speaker 3: you go. That's the I'm Game with John Dean Rich.
- 20:35Speaker 24: We got this email from a couple that's having a
- 20:45Speaker 24: little bit of an issue.
- 20:46Speaker 3: And we didn't know how to handle it on the
- 20:47Speaker 3: air until we came up with John Jay and Rich
- 20:50Speaker 3: Love Court.
- 20:54Speaker 26: Raise your hand, take your oaths Listeners, volume up, eyes
- 21:00Speaker 26: on the road It's John Jay and Richard Lovecourt.
- 21:08Speaker 25: Yeah!
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a battle. A couple's got a problem. We're
- 21:12Speaker 3: going to help them out. Lovecourt.
- 21:14Speaker 8: But they agree that whatever we decide, that is how
- 21:17Speaker 8: they must live their life from now on.
- 21:18Speaker 9: That's a lot of pressure.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Okay, we got Brianna and Marcus. Good morning, you guys.
- 21:23Speaker 15: Hey, good morning.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Hi.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Welcome to Love Court. The case, Rich, what's the story?
- 21:31Speaker 8: Well, this is the story of Brianna and Marcus. They
- 21:33Speaker 8: live together, guys. And Marcus, he's got his boys over
- 21:38Speaker 8: every single Sunday for football. They eat her food, use
- 21:41Speaker 8: her dishes, leave beer cans everywhere. And somehow she's always
- 21:46Speaker 8: the one that's cleaning up. So Brianna created a new
- 21:48Speaker 8: house rule. Marcus owes her $ 150. Every time his friends
- 21:53Speaker 8: come over, Marcus thinks she's absolutely insane. He already pays
- 21:56Speaker 8: more of the rent and refused to pay an admission
- 21:59Speaker 8: fee to his own living room. But here's where it
- 22:03Speaker 8: gets good. The twist, Brianna doesn't just start charging Marcus.
- 22:07Speaker 8: She created a literal invoice complete with cleaning fees, emotional
- 22:11Speaker 8: distress charges, And a $ 75 surcharge because one of his
- 22:15Speaker 8: friends clogged the toilet.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Get it.
- 22:17Speaker 8: Totally. Now, Marcus. has revealed that he's been charging his
- 22:21Speaker 8: friends $ 25, too, each to come watch football at the house.
- 22:24Speaker 8: He told them the money was going towards food and drinks,
- 22:26Speaker 8: but he's been pocketing the money. Brianna wants to know
- 22:29Speaker 8: why Marcus is making money off her unpaid labor. This
- 22:33Speaker 8: is John J. Rich Lockhart.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I hear ye, hear ye. Love Court is officially in session.
- 22:39Speaker 3: This is where couples bring their relationship drama to us. Okay, Brianna,
- 22:43Speaker 3: since you brought the case to court, what exactly is
- 22:45Speaker 3: going on? Let's hear your version.
- 22:47Speaker 20: Okay.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:48Speaker 16: First of all, I would like the record to show
- 22:51Speaker 16: that I love and adore my boyfriend.
- 22:52Speaker 3: That's good.
- 22:53Speaker 4: That's a good start.
- 22:54Speaker 8: I'll allow it.
- 22:55Speaker 27: Thank you.
- 22:56Speaker 16: But I'm one more Sunday away from walking out. Every
- 22:59Speaker 16: single Sunday, Marcus invites his little football fraternity over to
- 23:03Speaker 16: our house. I'm talking six, sometimes eight grown men. And
- 23:07Speaker 16: they eat everything. They leave beer cans in my bathroom,
- 23:11Speaker 16: chicken wing bones on my coffee table. And one time,
- 23:14Speaker 16: I found a ranch cup in my shoe.
- 23:16Speaker 8: Order in the court.
- 23:19Speaker 16: And somehow, every Monday morning, I'm Cinderella with a Dyson.
- 23:23Speaker 16: I've asked him a million times to clean up after
- 23:26Speaker 16: his friends. But nothing changes. So I decided if I'm
- 23:31Speaker 16: going to be the maid, I'm going to get paid.
- 23:33Speaker 16: I started charging him $ 150 every time his friends come over.
- 23:37Speaker 16: I called the girlfriend, Dax. And yes, I sent him
- 23:40Speaker 16: an actual itemized invoice with cleaning fees. You know, there's
- 23:46Speaker 16: a line for unauthorized refrigerator access and emotional distress charges
- 23:51Speaker 16: because I'm not running a charity here.
- 23:54Speaker 8: Well, you know, honestly, as a judge, I already think
- 23:57Speaker 8: he's guilty. I don't even know what the jury needs
- 23:59Speaker 8: to hear anymore.
- 24:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 24:00Speaker 8: You need to be neutral.
- 24:02Speaker 15: If you are going to be the judge or you
- 24:05Speaker 15: are going to have people outside with pitchforks and bias.
- 24:08Speaker 8: Are you done?
- 24:09Speaker 3: Do you rest your case? Do you? Is there more?
- 24:13Speaker 28: Completely insane.
- 24:14Speaker 3: OK.
- 24:15Speaker 16: And like, come on. He's turning our living room into
- 24:17Speaker 16: a sports bar every weekend. Somebody needs to be compensated.
- 24:20Speaker 16: And that's me.
- 24:22Speaker 15: OK. OK.
- 24:23Speaker 8: Now we got Marcus's case. The floor is yours. How
- 24:26Speaker 8: do you plead, Marcus? Do you plead guilty and just
- 24:28Speaker 8: want to throw this whole thing out? No, you want
- 24:30Speaker 8: to present your case.
- 24:31Speaker 20: I'm not guilty.
- 24:32Speaker 8: Objection, you're wrong.
- 24:33Speaker 20: Nobody's leaving beer cans in the bathroom. Okay, the ranch,
- 24:37Speaker 20: that was totally an accident. Brianna's lost her mind.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Like, it's football.
- 24:44Speaker 20: You know, like, my friends come over on Sundays to
- 24:47Speaker 20: watch the game. We eat, we hang out. And like, yeah,
- 24:50Speaker 20: she's acting like I'm running some kind of like sports
- 24:53Speaker 20: bar nightclub out of our apartment, which is just, it's
- 24:57Speaker 20: not like that. She also didn't mention, by the way,
- 25:00Speaker 20: that I pay like 65% of our rent. And so
- 25:04Speaker 20: now I have to pay like an admission fee to
- 25:10Speaker 20: sit on my own couch, you know, like, and she
- 25:13Speaker 20: said this, but she literally sent me a PDF.
- 25:17Speaker 5: Invoice saying, It's a do date.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 8: You upset her. You done pissed her off.
- 25:24Speaker 4: And it's not like.
- 25:25Speaker 20: My friends are free voting. They're giving me 25 bucks
- 25:28Speaker 20: each when they come over so we can have food
- 25:31Speaker 20: and drinks. And I just like, it's just ridiculous that
- 25:35Speaker 20: now I have to pay my own girlfriend 150 bucks
- 25:39Speaker 20: to hang out with my friends and the house that
- 25:41Speaker 20: like I'm already paying for.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 25:43Speaker 15: But just collect that $ 25 and hand it to your
- 25:46Speaker 15: girlfriend for just even.
- 25:48Speaker 9: Bearing with you.
- 25:48Speaker 8: Okay, wait a minute, jury. It's your time to deliberate.
- 25:50Speaker 8: Order in the court. You are not to badger the witness.
- 25:53Speaker 9: Bye-bye. Let me stay in line.
- 25:55Speaker 8: This whole court's out of order. Okay, jury, you have
- 25:58Speaker 8: the case. Would you like to deliberate? And you may
- 26:00Speaker 8: ask the defendant.
- 26:01Speaker 11: I do have a question.
- 26:02Speaker 13: As a member of the jury, I do have a
- 26:04Speaker 13: question for you, Marcus. When you get the money from
- 26:09Speaker 13: your friends, are you actually using that to buy beer
- 26:13Speaker 13: and buy food? Because I kind of feel like Brianna
- 26:16Speaker 13: made it seem like they were eating her food that
- 26:19Speaker 13: she had bought.
- 26:19Speaker 11: And that can be pretty maddening.
- 26:21Speaker 20: Yeah, I definitely get food.
- 26:25Speaker 8: I've ordered pizza.
- 26:26Speaker 6: I get drinks.
- 26:28Speaker 20: I mean, yes, I do use that money for our stuff.
- 26:32Speaker 11: And how much of Brianna's food do they.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Eat, though?
- 26:35Speaker 20: I'm honestly, I'm not keeping track. I'm not like.
- 26:39Speaker 4: They eat all of it.
- 26:40Speaker 8: All of it.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I can't believe they're paying you.
- 26:45Speaker 9: Order in the court.
- 26:48Speaker 11: That was my question as a member of the jury.
- 26:50Speaker 9: Valid.
- 26:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:51Speaker 9: Valid question.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I make a seven layer dip every weekend.
- 26:54Speaker 20: Every weekend.
- 26:55Speaker 16: And you're making money off of me.
- 26:58Speaker 3: I said, did you guys, is this like new news
- 27:01Speaker 3: to you that he was charging people?
- 27:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:03Speaker 16: I did not know he was making money off of that.
- 27:05Speaker 4: This is absolutely making money.
- 27:08Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 3: So it's not like a business.
- 27:09Speaker 16: Your friend's 25 bucks. Sometimes there's 10 people over do
- 27:12Speaker 16: the math.
- 27:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 20: That's all going into the same thing. We share groceries. We,
- 27:17Speaker 20: we share everything.
- 27:18Speaker 8: So it's all going into the same thing.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Like, fund of life. Gotcha.
- 27:24Speaker 8: You both have made your case. I'd like to turn
- 27:26Speaker 8: this over to the jury now. Okay, now, are we
- 27:28Speaker 8: trying to decide whether he should have people over? Or
- 27:32Speaker 8: should he pay her?
- 27:33Speaker 3: Do they break up? What are the possible outcomes? They're
- 27:36Speaker 3: not going to break up.
- 27:37Speaker 8: We're not ruling on whether they should still keep the relationship.
- 27:39Speaker 13: I think we're ruling on whether or not he should
- 27:41Speaker 13: have to pay her the $ 150.
- 27:42Speaker 11: Is that correct?
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:44Speaker 9: That's what I was catching.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:46Speaker 8: She's charging him. with like her time of cleaning.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of math.
- 27:50Speaker 8: Making food and eating her, yeah. There's a lot of
- 27:52Speaker 8: math in Love Court.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:54Speaker 7: Right.
- 27:54Speaker 15: It would be like, I mean, if you were to
- 27:56Speaker 15: get someone to come and professionally clean your home, that
- 27:59Speaker 15: might cost.
- 27:59Speaker 25: You $ 150.
- 27:59Speaker 11: Or DoorDash for food.
- 28:02Speaker 9: Or whatever. So in that case, you kind of are
- 28:04Speaker 9: just kind of paying yourself.
- 28:07Speaker 13: I kind of feel like maybe some sort of agreement
- 28:09Speaker 13: could be made to where if Brianna's not stuck cleaning
- 28:13Speaker 13: everything up, he doesn't have to pay her because he's
- 28:16Speaker 13: cleaning up the mess of his friends.
- 28:17Speaker 3: He should clean up the mess.
- 28:19Speaker 20: Okay.
- 28:20Speaker 3: You wouldn't charge, don't charge people to come over to
- 28:22Speaker 3: your house, but you and your boy should rotate houses.
- 28:24Speaker 8: Not always in your house.
- 28:26Speaker 11: That's a good suggestion as well.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Who's ever having a party at the house, they're getting
- 28:29Speaker 3: the pizza. And if you want to make the seven
- 28:31Speaker 3: layer dip for your buddies, that's for his friends. That's
- 28:33Speaker 3: up to you. But that's how I would do it.
- 28:36Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So now we vote. Is there a different option?
- 28:39Speaker 9: I was just going to say, here's another suggestion.
- 28:42Speaker 15: Marcus, if you want to have your boys over at
- 28:44Speaker 15: your house, maybe you guys got the 100-inch screen TV
- 28:46Speaker 15: or whatever, you got to give Brianna some money so
- 28:49Speaker 15: she can go to the bar with her girlfriends and
- 28:51Speaker 15: get out the house.
- 28:52Speaker 8: But that's what she's saying. She wants him.
- 28:53Speaker 11: To pay her. So you're in favor of him paying her.
- 28:55Speaker 9: I'm in favor of you paying her.
- 28:57Speaker 8: Okay, sounds like what the court.
- 28:59Speaker 11: We've got a split jury here.
- 29:01Speaker 9: Well, that's the order of the court. He needs to
- 29:05Speaker 9: pay her for the stress of having those gross, stinky
- 29:07Speaker 9: men in her home.
- 29:09Speaker 13: I like the idea of compromising because you're going to
- 29:12Speaker 13: have to continue to do this if your relationship is
- 29:14Speaker 13: going to work.
- 29:15Speaker 11: A good compromise would be.
- 29:18Speaker 13: That Marcus does not have to pay Brianna unless.
- 29:22Speaker 11: the same behavior continues.
- 29:24Speaker 13: If new behavior such as rotating friends' houses and him
- 29:29Speaker 13: cleaning up his friends' messes happens, then he does not
- 29:32Speaker 13: get a bill. But if the same behavior does continue,
- 29:36Speaker 13: then you got to pay.
- 29:36Speaker 8: Fair enough.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Works for me.
- 29:38Speaker 8: Fair enough.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Okay.
- 29:40Speaker 8: Marcus, do you understand you got to clean up and
- 29:43Speaker 8: you got to pay for the food when it's at
- 29:45Speaker 8: your house? If you don't, then she can charge you
- 29:48Speaker 8: 150 bucks.
- 29:49Speaker 3: And we're halfway through football season.
- 29:51Speaker 20: We are like, I already am pretty much paying for
- 29:54Speaker 20: the food and it's, It's just, like, so dumb that
- 29:58Speaker 20: this is.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Like, now a big deal. But whatever.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 30:02Speaker 8: No, it's a big deal.
- 30:03Speaker 9: Just agree, Marcus.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Just agree.
- 30:05Speaker 8: Marcus is guilty. We rule in favor of Brianna. Brianna,
- 30:10Speaker 8: you win.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Way to go, Brianna. Bringing the dancing lobsters.
- 30:12Speaker 16: Thank you.
- 30:13Speaker 8: Blood dismissed.
- 30:15Speaker 9: Bringing the dancing lobsters.
- 30:18Speaker 3: The judge has spoken.
- 30:19Speaker 8: We've saved another relationship, guys.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Hey, and speaking of, if you are in a relationship
- 30:24Speaker 3: and you guys would have a little squabble and need answers,
- 30:26Speaker 3: come to us. Shoot us a DM at JaiJaneRich for
- 30:28Speaker 3: Love Court. You, too, can be on Love Court with
- 30:31Speaker 3: the chaotic whatever this is here. Or whatever Mickey Mouse
- 30:35Speaker 3: courtroom this is. That's very nice. It's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
- 30:39Speaker 9: Come inside. It's fun inside.
- 30:42Speaker 3: It might be. It sounds very similar in my house
- 30:46Speaker 3: to Mahjong nights with my wife. I'm like, she does
- 30:49Speaker 3: these Mahjong nights. I'm like, hey, shouldn't you rotate this party?
- 30:52Speaker 3: It's always an honor. All right, thank you guys for
- 30:55Speaker 3: going on the air with us. That's Love Court with
- 30:57Speaker 3: John T. Rich.
- 30:57Speaker 9: Thank you. It's John J. and Rich's Love Court. Don't
- 31:05Speaker 9: just listen to John J. and Rich.
- 31:07Speaker 19: Be a part of the show.
- 31:08Speaker 3: Call 1-877-937-1047 to get on the air now. Monday, October 19th. Man,
- 31:18Speaker 3: time is flying by. It is flying by. Stella, you
- 31:21Speaker 3: got a comment on Love Court.
- 31:24Speaker 6: I do have a comment. I didn't get to listen
- 31:26Speaker 6: to the whole thing because I kind of got thrown
- 31:29Speaker 6: off writing the text.
- 31:30Speaker 1: But I was trying to figure out.
- 31:32Speaker 7: She said that she makes a seven-layer dip every weekend.
- 31:36Speaker 6: So why is she making it? It sounds like she
- 31:38Speaker 6: already knows what she's walking into.
- 31:41Speaker 7: And she's just trying to make.
- 31:42Speaker 6: A quick buck by sending out the invoices. That's just
- 31:45Speaker 6: my thought.
- 31:48Speaker 8: That's interesting.
- 31:48Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 11: Like, why would you make it if you didn't want
- 31:50Speaker 11: them to eat it?
- 31:52Speaker 8: Yes, exactly.
- 31:54Speaker 12: Right.
- 31:54Speaker 7: So that's my thing is like they're eating all her food,
- 31:56Speaker 7: but she's making it and I'm not understanding for what
- 31:59Speaker 7: for them.
- 32:00Speaker 15: It sounds like to me.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Valid.
- 32:02Speaker 1: So, yeah, I'm not really too sure what the end
- 32:04Speaker 1: result was.
- 32:05Speaker 6: I know compromises in there.
- 32:08Speaker 4: But again, she.
- 32:08Speaker 6: Didn't have to do that part.
- 32:10Speaker 3: It would have been great if you called.
- 32:11Speaker 29: 10 minutes ago.
- 32:12Speaker 3: We could have put you on the phone.
- 32:13Speaker 9: I know.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Well, you guys were talking and I was, yeah, you
- 32:16Speaker 7: guys were talking and I was going ahead and texting.
- 32:19Speaker 19: So it just happened that way.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Well, thanks for listening.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Thank you. Have a great day.
- 32:25Speaker 8: He should file for an appeal.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Um, we're going to get into who has had a
- 32:31Speaker 3: job for the least amount of time.
- 32:33Speaker 15: 877-937-7000.
- 32:33Speaker 3: 104.7. We've got tickets to Wicked Well. We've got tickets
- 32:38Speaker 3: to Public Enemy for you. Who's had the job the
- 32:40Speaker 3: shortest amount of time? And I say that because I
- 32:43Speaker 3: saw on the news like last week that the White
- 32:45Speaker 3: House hired a new press secretary. And then I saw
- 32:47Speaker 3: that she's gone already.
- 32:48Speaker 8: Five days.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Five days. And I so don't understand and don't need
- 32:52Speaker 3: to get into it. Yeah, it doesn't matter. Not for us.
- 32:55Speaker 3: I'm just so curious, too. It's five days.
- 32:57Speaker 15: Wow.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Five days.
- 32:58Speaker 8: And I mean, it's not like she had a job
- 33:01Speaker 8: at Wendy's. It's a big one. And I assume she
- 33:04Speaker 8: relocated her family to do that.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Probably too. I had a friend of mine. He took
- 33:08Speaker 3: a job in radio at a Dallas radio station. He
- 33:11Speaker 3: loaded up his U-Haul, loaded with everything, moved, moved into
- 33:15Speaker 3: an apartment and then got fired a week later.
- 33:17Speaker 9: Oh my gosh.
- 33:18Speaker 8: That would be rough.
- 33:19Speaker 3: He says, he jokes and says he took a vacation
- 33:21Speaker 3: with furniture.
- 33:23Speaker 15: I feel like a lot of like professional athletes run
- 33:26Speaker 15: into situations like that where they get signed to a
- 33:29Speaker 15: team and then maybe get dropped or whatever a week
- 33:31Speaker 15: or so later.
- 33:32Speaker 9: And they pack up their wife, their kids, everyone. I'm like,
- 33:35Speaker 9: that sucks.
- 33:36Speaker 14: Yeah, it does.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Christopher, good morning.
- 33:40Speaker 26: Morning.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Did you have a job for a short amount of time?
- 33:44Speaker 4: I did. I worked at a jack-in-the-box for like maybe
- 33:48Speaker 4: 20 minutes.
- 33:50Speaker 8: That's really short. What happened? Maybe 20 minutes.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Well, I went in and they said, okay, you're going
- 33:58Speaker 4: to clean the grease traps. And I was like, okay.
- 34:01Speaker 4: And then they gave me like one of those little porters.
- 34:04Speaker 4: And they said, go out and sweep the parking lot.
- 34:08Speaker 4: And I was just like, yeah, that's, that's not going
- 34:11Speaker 4: to happen. So I just like went out, left the
- 34:14Speaker 4: porter in the parking lot and just kept walking.
- 34:17Speaker 3: All right. So that was 20 minutes.
- 34:20Speaker 8: Now I'm, I'm wondering what do you, what do you
- 34:21Speaker 8: do now? Like what's your, what's your gig now?
- 34:24Speaker 4: Uh, I was working with the Arizona office of tourism. Um,
- 34:31Speaker 4: What's going on there?
- 34:31Speaker 3: What's going on with tourism in Arizona? Where do you
- 34:34Speaker 3: tell people to go? Grand Canyon?
- 34:37Speaker 4: Yeah. Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Tombstone.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Antelope Canyon.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Surprisingly, what I have to tell people, and this is
- 34:47Speaker 4: really weird, is if they go to the reservation, not
- 34:52Speaker 4: to walk into people's houses without asking or being invited in.
- 34:56Speaker 3: Hmm.
- 34:57Speaker 9: I think that would be like the obvious thing to do.
- 34:59Speaker 11: Is that like a common mistake people are making?
- 35:01Speaker 8: What's going on there?
- 35:02Speaker 9: Why are people walking into houses uninvited?
- 35:04Speaker 4: I don't know. You know, the doors are open and
- 35:07Speaker 4: they just kind of, oh, I'm going in, I'm taking pictures.
- 35:10Speaker 3: What?
- 35:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:12Speaker 9: Interesting. That's bizarre.
- 35:15Speaker 14: Yep.
- 35:15Speaker 9: Stop doing that if you're doing that.
- 35:17Speaker 8: You said you were doing that, but you're not doing
- 35:19Speaker 8: anything now, just hanging out?
- 35:21Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. I had an operation on my shoulder.
- 35:27Speaker 8: Hope you heal up.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Yes, thank you.
- 35:30Speaker 3: All right, Christopher, thanks for calling in. Melissa, we're looking
- 35:33Speaker 3: to see who's had the shortest job ever. And 877-937-1047,
- 35:37Speaker 3: what was yours? Melissa?
- 35:43Speaker 8: Oh, hi.
- 35:45Speaker 30: I worked at McDonald's for three days. It won't be
- 35:47Speaker 30: 20 minutes, but three days. But I was on their
- 35:49Speaker 30: payroll for a month, even though I didn't work.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Did you quit?
- 35:55Speaker 30: Well, I went on vacation with my parents at the time,
- 35:57Speaker 30: and I stepped on a nail, and I came back,
- 35:59Speaker 30: and I couldn't walk.
- 36:01Speaker 4: So that was my excuse.
- 36:02Speaker 16: So I kind of quit.
- 36:04Speaker 30: But I was on the payroll for a month.
- 36:06Speaker 3: You mean like you kept getting paid?
- 36:09Speaker 30: No, well, it's McDonald's.
- 36:12Speaker 19: You don't get paid if you don't get work.
- 36:13Speaker 8: Oh, so you're on the payroll. You just didn't clock in.
- 36:16Speaker 8: So you didn't get paid.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 36:17Speaker 4: Gotcha.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 5: All right.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Melissa.
- 36:22Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 36:22Speaker 8: 20 minutes is our record, though, so far. That's pretty strong.
- 36:25Speaker 9: That's impressive.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. 877-9... I have one. Ooh, Dylan. Yes, Dylan.
- 36:30Speaker 29: I worked at... Rails is not my first retail escapade, actually.
- 36:34Speaker 29: I worked at Anthropologie for one shift. Fun fact.
- 36:37Speaker 3: When was that?
- 36:38Speaker 29: So it was senior year of college. My friend got
- 36:41Speaker 29: me the job, and I didn't realize it was seasonal.
- 36:43Speaker 29: So I went in for one shift, and then they
- 36:45Speaker 29: were like, can you work on Christmas Day? And I
- 36:47Speaker 29: was like, wait, no, I can't. And they were like, okay, well,
- 36:49Speaker 29: we don't need you anymore.
- 36:51Speaker 8: Got fired on the first day.
- 36:53Speaker 29: I did, but it was fun. It was a fun
- 36:55Speaker 29: one day.
- 36:56Speaker 8: I'm surprised they are open on Christmas Day.
- 36:59Speaker 9: I know, the mall?
- 37:00Speaker 29: They want to get, you know, all the dollars they can,
- 37:02Speaker 29: I guess.
- 37:03Speaker 8: All the returns, maybe.
- 37:04Speaker 3: You think about the people that don't celebrate Christmas.
- 37:07Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 3: They want to shop, too.
- 37:08Speaker 11: Or the people that get gift cards in the morning
- 37:10Speaker 11: and then want to go.
- 37:10Speaker 8: Out and buy them.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Dillon, you want to go see Public Enemy? Oh, my God,
- 37:16Speaker 3: I would love to. That's a pretty good one.
- 37:17Speaker 8: That's a good call.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, Love Pup Family Fest is set
- 37:22Speaker 3: November 7th. It's at Vertuccio Farms in Mesa, 4 p.m.
- 37:24Speaker 3: to 8 p.m. A free show with Gavin DeGraw live
- 37:28Speaker 3: in concert. Gavin DeGraw live, and he's touring in Europe
- 37:31Speaker 3: right now, and he's flying all the way back to
- 37:33Speaker 3: do Family Fest. 4 p.m. You also got America's Got
- 37:38Speaker 3: Talent runner-up, Gino Pleger. The guy's a magician, and he's unbelievable.
- 37:43Speaker 3: You also have the Rich Bear Band performing. It's the
- 37:45Speaker 3: biggest dog rescue event in the Valley with over 20-plus
- 37:48Speaker 3: dog rescues. Bring your friends, bring your dogs, bring your family.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Admission is free. We ask that you bring a dog
- 37:54Speaker 3: rescue donation, leashes, puppy pads, dog food, et cetera. We're
- 37:58Speaker 3: going to have food trucks, vendors, KidZone, and more. It's
- 38:00Speaker 3: November 7th at 4 p.m. By the way, speaking of
- 38:03Speaker 3: Arizona tourism, I was at the– and this blows my mind.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I'm only– it was six months ago where I discovered
- 38:11Speaker 3: the Phoenix Raceway. I had no idea it was here.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Been here since 1963. And I took my kids yesterday
- 38:17Speaker 3: to the NASCAR race. And it's such a great thing
- 38:19Speaker 3: when you're in Avondale and you're driving on that one
- 38:21Speaker 3: road and then you see it for the first time
- 38:23Speaker 3: and you're like, what the hell? Been here since the 60s.
- 38:28Speaker 3: And all three of my kids are like, what? And
- 38:30Speaker 3: it's unbelievable.
- 38:30Speaker 13: There was like a huge news story that happened. I
- 38:32Speaker 13: guess there was some people who paid for one of
- 38:34Speaker 13: the suites there and one of the pipes broke, like
- 38:37Speaker 13: the pipes for the bathroom, and they got like sprayed.
- 38:40Speaker 8: Oh, no. Party experience.
- 38:44Speaker 13: Obviously, Phoenix Raceway fixed it right away. But, you know,
- 38:48Speaker 13: you just never know what you're going to get.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Dude, they had Billy Ray Cyrus there performing, and he
- 38:52Speaker 3: started at 10, 10 a.m. Like, there's stuff going on
- 38:55Speaker 3: the whole time. There's thousands and thousands of people there
- 38:58Speaker 3: at 10 a.m.
- 38:58Speaker 11: It's quite the experience.
- 39:00Speaker 3: And Miley performed at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night.
- 39:02Speaker 9: That looked so epic.
- 39:04Speaker 3: But get this. She was there last night. She was
- 39:06Speaker 3: there yesterday.
- 39:06Speaker 4: No way.
- 39:07Speaker 3: She was backstage with Billy Ray Cyrus.
- 39:08Speaker 8: That's cool.
- 39:09Speaker 14: I know.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Miley.
- 39:10Speaker 3: I wanted to go because, you know, whatever you heard
- 39:12Speaker 3: about the fights between them, I wanted to go and
- 39:14Speaker 3: kind of like see them. But I got there too late.
- 39:16Speaker 15: I do love, though, that like with all of the
- 39:18Speaker 15: issues that has gone on in the Cyrus family, they
- 39:20Speaker 15: have always found their way back to each other.
- 39:22Speaker 9: And that's just families. We all have them, you know?
- 39:25Speaker 3: Charles, you have a short job. Charles.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Time ever.
- 39:31Speaker 12: What?
- 39:31Speaker 15: Hello?
- 39:32Speaker 3: Start over. Go ahead.
- 39:34Speaker 5: I think I have the shortest job time ever. I
- 39:36Speaker 5: actually did security, and so I drove all the way
- 39:41Speaker 5: to a site, which my site supervisor then told me,
- 39:45Speaker 5: you are 40 miles from anything, and all I had
- 39:48Speaker 5: to do was guard... an open electric box. And as
- 39:52Speaker 5: soon as he told me, I was there for like
- 39:54Speaker 5: two minutes and then I went home because I was
- 39:55Speaker 5: not doing that.
- 39:56Speaker 8: You didn't want to guard an electric box?
- 39:59Speaker 5: No, in the middle of the night, absolutely not. There
- 40:02Speaker 5: were no lights around me. There was nothing for 40 miles,
- 40:05Speaker 5: and I was not going to sit there by myself
- 40:07Speaker 5: for 12 hours.
- 40:08Speaker 8: Well, I mean, it does sound like a pretty easy gig.
- 40:10Speaker 8: How many people are going to attack an electric box
- 40:12Speaker 8: in the middle of nowhere?
- 40:13Speaker 9: Or going to attack the guard and axe murderer who's.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Just waiting for his next victim? Maybe there's people that.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Want that box.
- 40:19Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 40:21Speaker 5: There were coyotes and scorpions and rattlesnakes, and people were
- 40:25Speaker 5: known for... getting dragged off by coyotes people.
- 40:30Speaker 8: Got dragged off yeah people were dragged off by coyotes
- 40:34Speaker 8: good people yeah okay.
- 40:36Speaker 11: Well i guess i'd probably only want to be there
- 40:38Speaker 11: for two.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Minutes i'm not judging you i think that's fine two
- 40:41Speaker 3: minutes i don't want to be in the dark i'm
- 40:42Speaker 3: with you brother hold on courtney courtney good morning how
- 40:46Speaker 3: long did you have a job for.
- 40:47Speaker 31: Um good morning guys i love you so much um
- 40:51Speaker 31: this is back in like I don't know, 2004, 2005,
- 40:54Speaker 31: I worked at EG's in Tucson up on Oracle.
- 40:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 40:58Speaker 31: First day, this is back.
- 40:59Speaker 7: When, you know, they didn't have the prepackaged ranch.
- 41:02Speaker 31: So it's my first day going in and they made
- 41:04Speaker 31: me put ranch in the little containers for four whole hours.
- 41:08Speaker 7: And I was like, I am not doing this again.
- 41:11Speaker 8: Right off McGee, Oracle and McGee. That's where the EG's is, right?
- 41:15Speaker 14: Yes.
- 41:16Speaker 17: Yes.
- 41:16Speaker 8: I know it very well.
- 41:17Speaker 7: Yes.
- 41:18Speaker 3: All right, Courtney, public enemy tickets for you.
- 41:22Speaker 6: Sure.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Or Wicked Ball.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 41:24Speaker 3: You want Wicked Ball or Public Enemy? We got them both.
- 41:28Speaker 16: Public Enemy.
- 41:29Speaker 3: All right, hold on. My high school reunion is the
- 41:31Speaker 3: same night as Public Enemy, and two of my best
- 41:32Speaker 3: friends are like, we're going to Public Enemy. I bet.
- 41:36Speaker 8: I bet I could guess which friends.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Haven, good morning. Haven.
- 41:44Speaker 7: Oh, yes.
- 41:44Speaker 16: Hi.
- 41:45Speaker 18: So I think I have the shortest job ever. Like
- 41:48Speaker 18: a couple of years ago, Amazon was doing like a
- 41:51Speaker 18: promotion for like a bonus. So if you worked there
- 41:55Speaker 18: for three months, you got like a thousand dollars or
- 41:57Speaker 18: something like that. Well, I signed up and I went
- 41:59Speaker 18: to like the orientation and whatnot, but I never actually
- 42:03Speaker 18: worked a shift and still ended up getting like six
- 42:06Speaker 18: hundred dollars from the first portion of the bonus.
- 42:09Speaker 8: So just the orientation. That's all you attended. It didn't
- 42:13Speaker 8: have to.
- 42:13Speaker 3: Work at all.
- 42:14Speaker 5: Amazon messed up.
- 42:16Speaker 18: I don't know how, but they did.
- 42:18Speaker 11: Doesn't really sound like a good business model for them.
- 42:20Speaker 11: All right.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Thanks, Haven. Thanks for calling in. We need a contestant
- 42:24Speaker 3: for a minute to win it.
- 42:27Speaker 6: 877-937-1047.
- 42:27Speaker 3: We've got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. So I saw
- 42:32Speaker 3: that the website is rank.com. Dropped the scariest Halloween movies
- 42:39Speaker 3: this year so far. So far. Back Rooms is number 14.
- 42:44Speaker 3: My son just told me yesterday he thought that movie
- 42:46Speaker 3: was terrifying. A movie called Exit 8. Then Marama. Faces
- 42:51Speaker 3: of Death was number 11. 28 Years Later, The Bone
- 42:55Speaker 3: Temple was number 10. Leviticus is 9. They Will Kill
- 43:01Speaker 3: You is 8. That doesn't sound good.
- 43:03Speaker 8: They Will Kill You.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Apophiniacs was 7. Her Private Hell is number 6. Resident
- 43:10Speaker 3: Evil is number 5. Touch Me is number four. Hocum,
- 43:15Speaker 3: number three. Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Missima is
- 43:20Speaker 3: number two. And the number one I keep hearing over
- 43:24Speaker 3: and over and over again is Obsession. It's the scariest
- 43:27Speaker 3: movie of 2026. I liked it.
- 43:29Speaker 8: Now you might watch it and be like, it's not
- 43:32Speaker 8: that scary, but if you really truly do watch it,
- 43:34Speaker 8: you will be screaming your face off. Peyton made me
- 43:37Speaker 8: watch it and I'm still mad at her.
- 43:39Speaker 9: I didn't find it that scary.
- 43:40Speaker 1: No.
- 43:43Speaker 8: Maybe I just dated too many people like that.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:45Speaker 15: But I don't know right now, like right around Halloween time,
- 43:47Speaker 15: I'm always into watching the scary movies and stuff. And
- 43:50Speaker 15: the new Crystal Lake show came out and I was
- 43:52Speaker 15: watching and it stars Linda Cardelli and she plays like
- 43:56Speaker 15: Pam Voorhees, Jason's mom.
- 43:58Speaker 9: And I'm watching it and I'm like. There is not
- 44:00Speaker 9: enough slashing in this.
- 44:02Speaker 8: Slasher movie for me.
- 44:03Speaker 11: You need to see more people die.
- 44:04Speaker 9: I need more people.
- 44:06Speaker 11: I need more blood splatter.
- 44:07Speaker 9: I need more stuff. If I'm watching a scary.
- 44:09Speaker 8: Movie, I want to watch a scary movie.
- 44:11Speaker 3: You know what? I had a couple people message me
- 44:12Speaker 3: saying it was really good.
- 44:13Speaker 15: It's pretty good so far, but it is a little
- 44:15Speaker 15: slow moving for me.
- 44:16Speaker 9: I'm about.
- 44:17Speaker 15: I'm, like, halfway into the third episode, and they're about
- 44:19Speaker 15: 45 to 50 minutes long. And I just, it's like
- 44:23Speaker 15: you side with Jason. You feel the empathy for them.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Because he's bullied or something?
- 44:27Speaker 9: He's bullied.
- 44:28Speaker 15: And Pam, you know, she's just a mother who just, like,
- 44:31Speaker 15: wants her child. And they're reopening Crystal Lake, but they
- 44:33Speaker 15: haven't found Jason's body yet. And so she, like, is
- 44:36Speaker 15: trying to go and get vengeance on everyone who did
- 44:38Speaker 15: her kid wrong.
- 44:39Speaker 3: So it's a prequel, right?
- 44:40Speaker 14: Yes.
- 44:41Speaker 3: So if I remember the movie, and I only saw
- 44:43Speaker 3: it one time, and it was the biggest mistake of
- 44:44Speaker 3: my life. But you find out at the end of
- 44:48Speaker 3: Friday the 13th that's the mom of the killer. And
- 44:50Speaker 3: it's because Jason drowned or died or something like that, right?
- 44:52Speaker 3: So this takes you up to that.
- 44:54Speaker 20: Yes.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Or he's already drowned.
- 44:55Speaker 9: It starts off with Jason's drowning.
- 44:57Speaker 3: And then they go, and then they show you him
- 44:59Speaker 3: getting bullied. So then she starts, at some point, she
- 45:02Speaker 3: starts killing people.
- 45:03Speaker 9: And she's killed a couple people. But not enough.
- 45:06Speaker 3: Has she killed Kevin Bacon yet?
- 45:07Speaker 9: I don't think so.
- 45:08Speaker 8: Oh, yeah, he was in that first one, wasn't he?
- 45:09Speaker 3: Kevin Bacon was the first person killed in the first
- 45:11Speaker 3: Friday Night TV movie. He wasn't even famous yet. And
- 45:14Speaker 3: I remember traumatically, he was in the bottom bunk. He's
- 45:17Speaker 3: laying down in the bottom bunk, and the knife comes
- 45:19Speaker 3: from underneath the bunk, and they hold his head down,
- 45:21Speaker 3: and then the knife goes through his throat.
- 45:23Speaker 9: Yeah, they're pretty gruesome murders, for sure.
- 45:26Speaker 8: You're rooting for Linda Cardinelli to just kill more people?
- 45:29Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 45:29Speaker 3: You don't want people to meet your son.
- 45:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 15: It's like you feel really bad for him because he
- 45:33Speaker 15: really is just a sweet kid who just is different.
- 45:35Speaker 3: That's so sad.
- 45:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Carly, good morning. How are you? Good morning.
- 45:42Speaker 2: I'm great. How are you?
- 45:43Speaker 3: You are our contestant for Minute to Win It to
- 45:46Speaker 3: win $ 1, 000. All right. So tell us a little fun
- 45:51Speaker 3: fact about yourself, Carly.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Um, well, my kids are all with me right now
- 45:58Speaker 2: and they, what's a fun fact about mama?
- 45:59Speaker 1: She's a great mom.
- 46:04Speaker 8: Oh, come on.
- 46:06Speaker 2: And then also we were, we were just, uh, I
- 46:08Speaker 2: was getting ready to call you guys about the job
- 46:10Speaker 2: thing because I was telling my kids that I used
- 46:13Speaker 2: to have a job at a plastic factory and I
- 46:16Speaker 2: went in and it was my first day and someone
- 46:18Speaker 2: stole my lunch. So at lunchtime I left and never
- 46:20Speaker 2: came back.
- 46:22Speaker 8: You're like this place, a bunch of lunch dealers.
- 46:23Speaker 14: I'm out.
- 46:24Speaker 3: All right, well, let's go.
- 46:25Speaker 19: It was hot.
- 46:26Speaker 18: There was no air.
- 46:27Speaker 2: It was hot and horrible, and I didn't.
- 46:29Speaker 19: Have any food.
- 46:30Speaker 3: You got a minute to win $ 1, 000. Let's do it.
- 46:32Speaker 31: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 46:35Speaker 31: Peoria Ford right now.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Minute to win it.
- 46:39Speaker 8: Okay, 60 seconds on the clock. Let's get you $ 1, 000.
- 46:41Speaker 8: Get them all right. No skips. Here we go. What
- 46:44Speaker 8: candy is famous for the slogan, melts in your mouth,
- 46:47Speaker 8: not in your hands?
- 46:49Speaker 24: Eminem.
- 46:51Speaker 8: What famous magician and escape artist died on Halloween in 1926? Oh,
- 46:55Speaker 8: my gosh.
- 47:02Speaker 17: Harry Houdini.
- 47:03Speaker 8: What baseball team did the Milwaukee Brewers sweep to advance
- 47:06Speaker 8: to the 2026 World Series?
- 47:11Speaker 26: Oh, no.
- 47:12Speaker 8: Just happened.
- 47:13Speaker 7: Oh, gosh.
- 47:17Speaker 16: I have no idea.
- 47:19Speaker 7: My gosh. Who was it?
- 47:22Speaker 4: Name it.
- 47:22Speaker 8: Name it.
- 47:22Speaker 12: Braylon Wood.
- 47:23Speaker 3: No.
- 47:24Speaker 30: I don't know.
- 47:27Speaker 23: The Dodgers.
- 47:28Speaker 8: You got it right. Arachnophobia is the fear of what?
- 47:32Speaker 8: Let's keep going.
- 47:35Speaker 12: What was the word?
- 47:35Speaker 8: Arachnophobia is the fear of what?
- 47:38Speaker 6: Spiders.
- 47:40Speaker 8: What rock band is best known for the hit song Mr. Brightside?
- 47:43Speaker 16: Um.
- 47:52Speaker 9: She did say the killer's at the end, though, but
- 47:55Speaker 9: we're out of time.
- 47:57Speaker 8: You got five right. Just took you a little while
- 47:59Speaker 8: to get the Dodgers question.
- 48:00Speaker 3: I would have got that right.
- 48:01Speaker 4: I didn't even know what I guessed.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Oh, man. I would not have got that right.
- 48:05Speaker 18: At least I got it.
- 48:06Speaker 28: I feel good about that.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Carly, we're going to set you up with Del Taco
- 48:09Speaker 3: gift card. Thanks for listening, and you are a great mom.
- 48:13Speaker 19: Awesome.
- 48:13Speaker 24: Thank you.
- 48:14Speaker 8: Thank you, guys.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't know the lead singer of the Killers,
- 48:18Speaker 3: his name was Brock.
- 48:19Speaker 9: I know, Rich.
- 48:21Speaker 3: You said that?
- 48:22Speaker 9: You said Brock Band.
- 48:23Speaker 3: Brock Band.
- 48:24Speaker 8: Oh, I didn't say Rock Band?
- 48:25Speaker 3: You said Brock. It's funny. It's like, oh, all the
- 48:27Speaker 3: people in that band name are Brock.
- 48:29Speaker 8: Listen, I have large teeth. Sometimes they get in the
- 48:30Speaker 8: way of the words. It happens.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Hey, Bree, you had a job for a short amount
- 48:35Speaker 3: of time. We're talking about the press secretary only had
- 48:38Speaker 3: a job for five days. Who had a shorter job
- 48:40Speaker 3: time than that? What's yours?
- 48:42Speaker 22: I worked at Great Clips for four days. I just
- 48:45Speaker 22: graduated cosmetology school and they just basically were like, all right,
- 48:49Speaker 22: go cut hair. And I was, I didn't really know
- 48:51Speaker 22: how to cut hair that well cause I was practicing
- 48:53Speaker 22: on mannequins. And so I just kept, I kept ruining
- 48:56Speaker 22: people's hair and they're.
- 48:57Speaker 12: Like, it's fine.
- 48:58Speaker 22: You just learn while practicing. And that's why it freaked
- 49:02Speaker 22: me out. And so I never went back.
- 49:05Speaker 3: Do you cut hair now?
- 49:07Speaker 16: No, I actually work in the ER now.
- 49:10Speaker 3: What? You're working on the people who's who you cut.
- 49:13Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 49:16Speaker 8: What do you do in the ER room?
- 49:17Speaker 3: Are you a nurse, doctor?
- 49:19Speaker 20: I'm a tech.
- 49:20Speaker 22: So I do, like, I help with the nurses and
- 49:23Speaker 22: the doctors and stuff like that.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Right on, Bree. Well, I'm glad you called in. Thanks
- 49:26Speaker 3: for listening.
- 49:27Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Hi, Erica.
- 49:30Speaker 22: Hi.
- 49:33Speaker 12: Hi.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Did you have a job for a short amount of time?
- 49:36Speaker 1: I do.
- 49:36Speaker 7: I did.
- 49:37Speaker 19: It was awful.
- 49:39Speaker 21: My worst and shortest job ever was at Deluxe Carpet
- 49:43Speaker 21: and Air Debt Cleaning. And I had a highlighter and
- 49:48Speaker 21: a white pages directory. And they said, welcome to the job.
- 49:53Speaker 21: Go ahead and start with the letter F. And I
- 49:56Speaker 21: just had to call, like, hello, I'm there to a
- 49:58Speaker 21: Deluxe Carpet and Air Debt Cleaning.
- 50:00Speaker 17: It was terrible.
- 50:01Speaker 21: And I just had to go one phone number at
- 50:04Speaker 21: a time, just use my highlighter and cross off who
- 50:06Speaker 21: I had already called.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Just called random people out of the book to ask
- 50:10Speaker 3: them to sign up with the deluxe carpeting? Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 21: I was like, would you like your carpets cleaned.
- 50:17Speaker 19: Or your air decks cleaned?
- 50:18Speaker 21: The dude walked around with, like, $ 5 and $ 10 bills
- 50:21Speaker 21: in his back pocket, and he, like, made sure that
- 50:23Speaker 21: they poked through so that we could see them. And
- 50:26Speaker 21: they're like, if you get a booking, I'm going to
- 50:28Speaker 21: instantly give you $ 5. So you're not making $ 7 an hour.
- 50:32Speaker 21: You're making $ 12.
- 50:32Speaker 3: Are they still around? Yeah.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Oh, no, no.
- 50:38Speaker 21: It was like this tiny little hole-in-the-wall place in Mesa
- 50:42Speaker 21: where I grew up.
- 50:42Speaker 8: That's direct marketing.
- 50:43Speaker 9: Yeah, well, it's cold calling.
- 50:45Speaker 15: There's a ton of those sales gigs like that. Yeah,
- 50:48Speaker 15: and they're brutal.
- 50:49Speaker 21: With the white pages. It was just a phone, a highlighter,
- 50:52Speaker 21: a cubicle, and the white pages.
- 50:54Speaker 3: That's it. Jessica, you started at F. That means other
- 50:57Speaker 3: people had got all the way through to F, calling
- 50:59Speaker 3: every single name in that book. Yeah, I know.
- 51:01Speaker 21: There were people making good money. There were some big ballers.
- 51:05Speaker 4: That got 20.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Really?
- 51:06Speaker 8: They had a high closing rate? That's pretty impressive.
- 51:11Speaker 4: It was awful.
- 51:13Speaker 3: Well, thanks, Erica.
- 51:13Speaker 21: It lasted five days.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Thanks for calling in five days. Thank you. Katie, what
- 51:20Speaker 3: was your shortest job? Hi.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Hi.
- 51:22Speaker 23: Well, not me, but my husband had a job at
- 51:27Speaker 23: the IRS last year for a single day. And then
- 51:35Speaker 23: they laid off, like, I think 10,000 people.
- 51:40Speaker 11: And then fired him a day later?
- 51:42Speaker 24: Yeah, yeah.
- 51:44Speaker 8: Was that part of the Doge thing where it's like,
- 51:45Speaker 8: we don't need all those people?
- 51:47Speaker 3: Doja.
- 51:47Speaker 16: I'm not sure.
- 51:51Speaker 3: That's wild. So what's he doing now? What does he
- 51:53Speaker 3: do now?
- 51:54Speaker 23: He now works at Dutch Bros corporate office in Tempe.
- 51:58Speaker 11: I'm glad he bounced back.
- 52:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:00Speaker 3: You know what?
- 52:01Speaker 11: He loves it.
- 52:02Speaker 16: So that's good.
- 52:02Speaker 3: I went to Dutch Brothers on Saturday. We had this
- 52:05Speaker 3: Love Pup event, right? The Cars and Canines event. It's
- 52:09Speaker 3: the ninth annual, and it's turned into a little tradition
- 52:11Speaker 3: for me where as soon as I get there, I leave.
- 52:14Speaker 3: I walk to the Starbucks, and freaking Starbucks is out
- 52:18Speaker 3: of business. It's gone.
- 52:19Speaker 5: It is?
- 52:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:20Speaker 3: In fact, you've been to that Starbucks with me. I'm
- 52:23Speaker 3: walking up there all excited to go to Starbucks, and
- 52:24Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my God, it's gone. What am I
- 52:26Speaker 3: going to do? I look next door. There's Dutch Bros.
- 52:29Speaker 3: So I went and I got a Dutch Bros cold brew.
- 52:31Speaker 3: And you know what? It was really good. And the
- 52:33Speaker 3: guy working the counter was so friendly. And I was like,
- 52:35Speaker 3: that's why you guys are the way you guys are.
- 52:38Speaker 3: You got like a bazillion locations now.
- 52:40Speaker 15: You have to like mentally prepare, though, when you go
- 52:42Speaker 15: through a Dutch Bros drive-thru.
- 52:44Speaker 9: Like if you are not in need for.
- 52:45Speaker 3: People, don't go to Dutch Bros.
- 52:46Speaker 8: You better have plans. I love chatter.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Hey, tell your husband, tell your husband, congratulations, I'm a
- 52:51Speaker 3: big fan of Dutch Bros.
- 52:53Speaker 17: I will.
- 52:54Speaker 3: Ask him to send me one of those Dutch Dad hats.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Because my son's name is Dutch. I even told the guy,
- 52:58Speaker 3: I go, hey, my son's name. He's where I had
- 53:00Speaker 3: said Dutch. I go, my son's name is Dutch. He goes,
- 53:02Speaker 3: that's really cool. I go, thanks, man.
- 53:04Speaker 19: Plans?
- 53:05Speaker 8: You got any plans today?
- 53:06Speaker 3: I'm just trying to stall so I don't have to
- 53:07Speaker 3: go back to that event. What's going on here?
- 53:09Speaker 8: Yeah, I found John Jay at the event hiding in
- 53:12Speaker 8: a trailer.
- 53:13Speaker 3: You know what happened? Or a bus. There's a video
- 53:16Speaker 3: I posted on my stories of Rich getting to the event.
- 53:20Speaker 3: And I'm hiding in this trailer, and I see him
- 53:21Speaker 3: talking to Blake. And I'm like, ugh. And I see
- 53:23Speaker 3: him looking for me. And he comes into the trailer,
- 53:27Speaker 3: and you dropped an F-bomb. And I have so many
- 53:30Speaker 3: comments from people, they can't believe you cussed.
- 53:33Speaker 8: Well, I was on about 30 minutes of sleep.
- 53:35Speaker 3: I was like, I mean, it's pretty ridiculous. They're like,
- 53:38Speaker 3: it's like hearing a teacher cuss. I was like, wow.
- 53:40Speaker 3: And then I thought, I wonder if I should post
- 53:42Speaker 3: this and make it a big deal that it's cussed,
- 53:44Speaker 3: because you just dropped this F-bomb out of nowhere.
- 53:46Speaker 9: Was it aggressive or friendly?
- 53:48Speaker 3: He goes, I think he goes... been walking over this
- 53:50Speaker 3: whole effing parking lot looking for you.
- 53:54Speaker 8: Yeah, and it hurts for me to walk. That's true.
- 53:58Speaker 3: Ben, your short job. Go ahead. What do you got?
- 54:01Speaker 15: Yes.
- 54:02Speaker 12: So I was 19 years old. They put me in
- 54:05Speaker 12: front of a desk at a land surveying company and said,
- 54:08Speaker 12: put a bunch of information in front of a computer,
- 54:11Speaker 12: into the computer. And I started the day off at
- 54:15Speaker 12: 7 o'clock and And this is when I found out
- 54:17Speaker 12: I can't work with computers. I was falling asleep every
- 54:21Speaker 12: 10 minutes. And so the boss came up to me
- 54:26Speaker 12: at nine o'clock and said, Hey man, if you want
- 54:29Speaker 12: to go to lunch early, you can. And if you
- 54:31Speaker 12: don't want to come back, you don't have to.
- 54:33Speaker 8: I said, Sounds good, sir.
- 54:38Speaker 23: That's amazing.
- 54:39Speaker 12: I will take lunch, and I didn't go back.
- 54:42Speaker 17: I couldn't stay awake.
- 54:44Speaker 8: At 9 o'clock in the morning, he's like, yeah, man,
- 54:46Speaker 8: you're not.
- 54:47Speaker 3: And now, do you have a job now that involves computers?
- 54:51Speaker 12: No, I'm a bartender for the last 20 years.
- 54:53Speaker 4: All right.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Thanks, Ben. Thanks for calling in. TJ, shortest job, what
- 54:58Speaker 3: do you got?
- 55:00Speaker 17: Shortest job. I sold gift cards that you pay $ 20
- 55:04Speaker 17: for and then you get like free rounds of golf
- 55:07Speaker 17: or pizza or whatever. And the first day was a
- 55:10Speaker 17: trial day. And I remember they told me to wear
- 55:12Speaker 17: my best clothes because I was going to work with
- 55:15Speaker 17: their best customers or something like that. And they ended
- 55:19Speaker 17: up dropping us off in a neighborhood. And I walked
- 55:23Speaker 17: all through the neighborhood. The day started at 9 a.m.
- 55:26Speaker 17: It finished at like 9 p.m. And that was trial day.
- 55:30Speaker 12: So I never got paid for it.
- 55:32Speaker 17: And the second day, I actually got the job. And
- 55:34Speaker 17: the second day, I came back and I worked all
- 55:37Speaker 17: day and they gave me $ 30 and I never went back.
- 55:41Speaker 3: All right, TJ. Thanks, brother.
- 55:45Speaker 9: I'd risk it.
- 55:48Speaker 24: All for you.
- 55:49Speaker 3: All right, so we're like officially kicking off John Jane
- 55:56Speaker 3: Rich Spooky Season. I mean, it is Halloween time. We
- 55:58Speaker 3: get into scary stories, whether it's ghosts or not ghosts.
- 56:01Speaker 3: We want to know What's the scariest thing that's ever
- 56:05Speaker 3: happened to you? It doesn't have to be ghosts. It
- 56:08Speaker 3: could be, you know, murderers. It could be kidnappers.
- 56:10Speaker 8: Trapped in a freezer.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Yeah, who knows? Who knows? Chad, good morning. What's the
- 56:15Speaker 3: scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 56:18Speaker 20: When I was a kid, I was, you know, probably
- 56:20Speaker 20: like seven years old or something like that. We lived
- 56:24Speaker 20: in a huge house and it was an old, old house.
- 56:28Speaker 3: It was built in like the 1900s.
- 56:29Speaker 20: And For a little while, my parents' bedroom was getting
- 56:34Speaker 20: renovated and they were sleeping in the room next to ours.
- 56:41Speaker 20: And there was a space where I could, like my
- 56:45Speaker 20: sister and I, you know, I would wake up and
- 56:47Speaker 20: I would look at them. And one night we're sleeping.
- 56:52Speaker 20: I woke up to look at my parents and I
- 56:54Speaker 20: saw them in bed and a figure walked by in
- 56:58Speaker 20: between the divider between our rooms. And I remember seeing that.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Now you're seven. Eh, lame story.
- 57:06Speaker 13: You can still, in fact, I would argue you see
- 57:09Speaker 13: more spirits when you're young.
- 57:10Speaker 14: I agree.
- 57:11Speaker 3: I agree. I agree. Let me rephrase it. What's the
- 57:13Speaker 3: scariest thing that's ever happened to you as an adult?
- 57:17Speaker 8: Well, when you're a child, though, what happened to you?
- 57:18Speaker 11: Don't discount that.
- 57:19Speaker 8: Did you freeze? Did it see you? Did the shadow
- 57:21Speaker 8: look and see you or no?
- 57:23Speaker 20: I mean, it just like walked by very, it just
- 57:26Speaker 20: passed by very slowly. And, and then that's, you know,
- 57:30Speaker 20: that's all I can remember. I just, I remember that
- 57:33Speaker 20: like my entire life. I was I definitely remember being
- 57:37Speaker 20: just seeing my parents sleeping. And then that like that
- 57:40Speaker 20: figure just walking by in front of us. You know,
- 57:44Speaker 20: I was seven years old, as you said. But I
- 57:48Speaker 20: you know, the house was very old. There were a
- 57:50Speaker 20: lot of weird things kind of.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Happened in it.
- 57:53Speaker 20: And and yeah, I mean, that was terrifying.
- 57:55Speaker 8: Did you tell your parents?
- 57:56Speaker 20: I'm thirty nine. I definitely told my parents the next day.
- 57:59Speaker 3: And they were like, eh, you're seven. Yeah.
- 58:02Speaker 8: They buzzed him.
- 58:03Speaker 3: Eh, you're seven.
- 58:04Speaker 8: There's no ghosts.
- 58:05Speaker 3: I had something similar like that happen when I stayed
- 58:07Speaker 3: at my grandparents' house. I went over to my grandma
- 58:08Speaker 3: to wake her up, and instead I saw a little
- 58:11Speaker 3: bowl next to her bed, and it was all her teeth.
- 58:13Speaker 3: I was like, forget it. I'm not going to wake
- 58:17Speaker 3: them up. All right, Chad. Thanks for calling in, man.
- 58:20Speaker 12: Thank you, guys.
- 58:21Speaker 4: All right.
- 58:21Speaker 3: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? Haley,
- 58:25Speaker 3: good morning.
- 58:26Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 58:27Speaker 3: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 58:30Speaker 16: I've always been kind of a wimp when it comes
- 58:33Speaker 16: to Halloween stuff. And I was dating this guy who
- 58:36Speaker 16: really loved, you know, all the scary movies, haunted houses,
- 58:40Speaker 16: all of it. So he dragged me to one with
- 58:42Speaker 16: his friends. And it was like one of those big
- 58:44Speaker 16: production ones, right? Like really, really creepy. And we're going
- 58:48Speaker 16: through the thing and the power goes out.
- 58:52Speaker 9: Did somebody, like, actually come and grab you?
- 58:55Speaker 16: So, nobody touched me.
- 58:57Speaker 8: Not part of? Not part of them?
- 59:00Speaker 16: No, no, like, there was no electrical issue. And the
- 59:03Speaker 16: whole power just, like, shut down. All the lights went out.
- 59:06Speaker 16: It was completely dark.
- 59:08Speaker 8: That is pretty creepy.
- 59:09Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 59:10Speaker 13: The power goes out, even if it's just in a storm,
- 59:13Speaker 13: you kind of already know.
- 59:14Speaker 11: Why the power goes out.
- 59:15Speaker 3: That happened to me this morning. I was actually gonna
- 59:17Speaker 3: bring that up this morning.
- 59:18Speaker 11: The power went out?
- 59:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I was on the treadmill this morning listening to
- 59:21Speaker 3: our show, our podcast early, early morning, probably three, three
- 59:24Speaker 3: in the morning. And it was really windy. And there
- 59:26Speaker 3: was this huge bang. And then all the power went out.
- 59:29Speaker 3: The treadmill stopped. And then all the power went back on.
- 59:33Speaker 3: But the treadmill, I had to turn it back on later.
- 59:34Speaker 3: And then my wife comes, are you okay?
- 59:37Speaker 10: Are you okay?
- 59:38Speaker 3: And I was like, yeah, I'm fine.
- 59:40Speaker 9: She was worried about you.
- 59:41Speaker 3: Oh, I know that. I know that. But that's how
- 59:44Speaker 3: scary it was. I was literally going to say, what's
- 59:46Speaker 3: the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? That was
- 59:48Speaker 3: going to be one of my top three was what
- 59:49Speaker 3: happened this morning. Because it did scare me.
- 59:51Speaker 16: You know, it's very, when the power goes out and
- 59:53Speaker 16: you're not expecting it.
- 59:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 59:55Speaker 9: So we get it.
- 59:55Speaker 16: If you're around a bunch of monsters.
- 59:57Speaker 8: Yeah, that's true.
- 59:58Speaker 3: All right. That's good. That's good. That's good. Thanks for
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: calling it Haley.
- 1:00:03Speaker 30: Yeah, thank you.
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: I have a scary thing.
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: 877-937-1047.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? Okay,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: go ahead, Peyton.
- 1:00:09Speaker 15: The very first apartment that I was, like, living by
- 1:00:13Speaker 15: myself in, I was asleep one night. And I had
- 1:00:17Speaker 15: my very first, like, night terror, like, maybe two or
- 1:00:20Speaker 15: three days before that. Like, when I woke up and I, like,
- 1:00:23Speaker 15: my body couldn't get up.
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: It was really freaky.
- 1:00:25Speaker 15: But then, like, three days later, I'm asleep and I
- 1:00:27Speaker 15: got woken up. to somebody like in my hallway like
- 1:00:31Speaker 15: running up and down the halls like screaming bloody murder like.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: Get off of me leave me alone get off of me.
- 1:00:37Speaker 15: And I could hear like the grunts of like a
- 1:00:39Speaker 15: man like following her and so I got scared so
- 1:00:42Speaker 15: I called 911 and I was like there is like
- 1:00:45Speaker 15: something going on outside of my apartment I thought that
- 1:00:47Speaker 15: this woman was like about to be killed by somebody
- 1:00:50Speaker 15: I call the police. They come and knock on the door.
- 1:00:52Speaker 15: They tell me like no one was there, but they're
- 1:00:54Speaker 15: going to come back and follow up the next morning
- 1:00:56Speaker 15: to pull the cameras. They pulled the cameras and nobody
- 1:00:59Speaker 15: was running in the apartment. Nobody was there. There was
- 1:01:02Speaker 15: no activity on my floor for like four hours that night.
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: But you heard it.
- 1:01:06Speaker 24: I know.
- 1:01:07Speaker 15: I couldn't go back to sleep. I remember I woke up.
- 1:01:09Speaker 15: I called my mom crying. I didn't know what to do.
- 1:01:11Speaker 15: I'm literally getting goosebumps right now because I know something
- 1:01:14Speaker 15: was out there.
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: You called your mom after?
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: After I called 911 because I couldn't go back to sleep.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: It could have been a dream.
- 1:01:20Speaker 9: It could have been a dream.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: It could have been a dream.
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: Because you're almost half awake there.
- 1:01:24Speaker 15: But it was so real.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: No, I had a dream the other day very similar
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: like that. I was interviewing The Rock.
- 1:01:29Speaker 12: What?
- 1:01:30Speaker 11: How is that similar?
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Because it was like so real and then our equipment
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: didn't work.
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: Well, that's not, that's not.
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: And I'm trying to interview The Rock.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: I'm trying to interview The Rock and I'm getting all
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: these great soundbites and great video and nothing works. And
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: I woke up and I was so pissed because I
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: couldn't believe it. And then I was like, oh, it's just,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: but I swear to you, we interviewed The Rock and
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: nothing worked. So, same story as Peyton's, except hers involves
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: someone getting killed.
- 1:01:55Speaker 8: So real. It was really scary, okay? Last night, John Jay,
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: I dreamed that you, me, Kyle, Peyton were at a
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: karaoke night hosted by Peter Griffin. And we were having
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: the best time. Oh, that's fun. Who's going to come
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: up and sing Love Shack? It's so weird.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? And
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: by the way, a lot of times when we get
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: into stuff like this, we put rules on it. Like, hey,
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: don't do this. No, I want it to be anything.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: It's got to be scary, something scary.
- 1:02:21Speaker 9: Unless you're a kid.
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. When you're seven, it's like, whatever. I mean,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: as an adult, I want to know, did you get kidnapped?
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Did you get thrown in the trunk of a car?
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Did someone put a knife to your throat? I mean,
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: I want it to be like that.
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: Were you trapped in the poop cruise?
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: You could have been on a freaking Netflix reality show
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: based on what you went through, you know?
- 1:02:42Speaker 12: 877-937-1047.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: What's the scariest thing that ever happened to you? What's
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: Katie, good morning. Hi, good morning. Hi, what happened?
- 1:03:11Speaker 28: Okay, so I have a food truck with my husband,
- 1:03:14Speaker 28: and we were out on sales on the reservation. And
- 1:03:18Speaker 28: my husband, he's like half Native American. So he kept
- 1:03:21Speaker 28: on joking with me and saying, oh, there's skinwalkers out here.
- 1:03:24Speaker 18: There's skinwalkers.
- 1:03:25Speaker 28: And so we were driving home and it was pitch dark.
- 1:03:27Speaker 28: We had our brights on. And out of nowhere, a
- 1:03:30Speaker 28: giant cow popped out and we almost hit it. And
- 1:03:33Speaker 28: then we never saw the cow again.
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:03:37Speaker 11: That's a jump scare.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it is.
- 1:03:39Speaker 11: It's a real life jump scare.
- 1:03:40Speaker 28: It's a skinwalker.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: Oh, like the cow. Oh, I get it.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: Transformed.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: Yeah, wow.
- 1:03:46Speaker 28: Yeah, he was saying it was a person, that it
- 1:03:49Speaker 28: wasn't really a cow because of the spirits out.
- 1:03:52Speaker 15: There or something.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: He was feeling a bad spirit.
- 1:03:54Speaker 13: It was crazy.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: That is scary. Thank you, Katie. Thank you. Javier, scariest
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: thing that's ever happened to you. What do you.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: Got?
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: So when I was a kid, there was a, like
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: my family would do fish fries every weekend and everything
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: like that. Almost every weekend. And, you know, I'd be
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: playing with all my other friends and all the kids
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: and whatnot. And so we played hide and go seek.
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: And there's, you know, big backyard, two side areas in
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: the backyard. And on one side was my dad's office.
- 1:04:29Speaker 6: And nobody really wanted to go over there because it's
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: kind of creepy. But I did because I was like,
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: all right, this will be a great place to hide.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: But as I'm going over there, And there's motion sensor lights.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: They didn't go on, right? So I was going towards
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: the garage, and there was, like, this shadowy figure that
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: did not represent anybody at the party whatsoever. And then
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: I just started feeling it coming towards me, like almost
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: having a hand out trying to grab me. And, like,
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: I don't know how it happened, but then the motion
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: sensor lights trip up or tripped. And so then this
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: entity is gone.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: And then, uh, uh, later that night, um, I just
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: had this weird, real weird feeling outside my bedroom window.
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: And so the next morning I wake up and there's
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: this huge crack in the window.
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: Something tried to get in.
- 1:05:26Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Seriously.
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: So fast forward to me moving to Gilbert, um, Just
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: another normal day, whatever. And at night, I just felt
- 1:05:36Speaker 6: this weird feeling again. And then the next morning I
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: wake up, there's another crack in the window.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: Whoa.
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: So this was Tempe to Gilbert. And then we moved
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: again in Gilbert to another house and just going about
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: my day, whatever. And I felt this weird, weird, weird
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: feeling again. And then the next morning, I woke up,
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: and there's another crack in the window. So this thing
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: is following me at this point. This is the third house.
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: And then a couple years later, when I moved to Chandler,
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: I was living in a two-story house, right? Same kind
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: of situation. This time, you know, we had a party
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: with my friends. I'm like in my 20s at this point.
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: And being on the second story, I'm like, okay, cool, whatever.
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: Nothing's going to bother me up here.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Nope.
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: Still felt it. And then the next morning there was
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: another crack in the window.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: I was on the second floor.
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: That is, it was weird. So, and then fast forward
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: a couple other years, I have my own apartment in
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: Tempe and, you know, again, having friends over. And then
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: that night, just scary kind of feeling. And I woke
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: up again and there's another crack in the window. So
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: that's like five times, right?
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: You need to move the West side.
- 1:06:55Speaker 8: They use better windows anderson windows and doors there.
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: I need it yeah well i just bought my house
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: uh three years ago now all the windows are good.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: Good so far they didn't want you to rent.
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: Maybe no there's a mortgage guy doing all that yeah
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: going the extra mile i was.
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: Just i was just telling dylan i was like I
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: hope me talking about this on the radio doesn't, you know,
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: spark it up again.
- 1:07:22Speaker 9: Invite him back over.
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: Yeah, exactly. It's weird that you feel the presence, though.
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: Maybe we should put him on with Wendy the Witch
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: when she comes on.
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: Yeah, dude.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: You know what? Hold on. Hold on, Javier. We're going
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: to have a witch on Wednesday, and she can, like,
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: get rid of those things. Hold on. Hold on. Will
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: you get Javier's number? Whitney, good morning. What is your
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: scariest thing that ever happened to you?
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: Whitney.
- 1:07:44Speaker 14: Yes?
- 1:07:45Speaker 16: I'm Whitney.
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Yes. Hi. Hi. Sorry about that. Scary saying. Okay.
- 1:07:48Speaker 32: Scariest ever.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: I'm about 19 years old and my buddy and I
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: are driving back from Alaska to Oregon for college and
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: I have a horse. So I'm bringing my horse along.
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: So as you're driving through Canada in the middle of nowhere,
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: and this is pre-cell phone.
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: Days because I'm older, right?
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: You end up in the middle of nowhere and you
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: know you have to stop wherever there's someplace that's horse friendly.
- 1:08:08Speaker 7: Meaning we showed up at this hotel that we're supposed
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: to be able to get a room at and put
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: our horse in a round pen and sleep through the night.
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: We show up after 14 hours of long driving and
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: this hotel looks like it's half shut down. Like tourist
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: season's over, nobody's available except for this one fifth wheel
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: trailer that has obviously got people in it. So we park,
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: put the horse in the pen, go over this trailer
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: and say, hey, we're here. Can we get a night,
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: you know, get a night, you know, a room for
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: the night? And they say, oh, well, you're going to
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: have to go see Larry. He's in that offshoot building
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: over there. That's the only one we're using now. And
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: this building looks abandoned. It is black as black, not
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: a light on. And I said, and where's Larry? And
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: they said, go through the doors, go down to the
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: basement and the end of the hall.
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: What?
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 1:08:52Speaker 19: So we go.
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: Okay, let's go.
- 1:08:54Speaker 32: So we go and we walk downstairs, and we walk.
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: Down, and it's like a laundry room, so it's very
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: vacuous and open, which you don't know, like, what's in there.
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: But all I can see is at the end of
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: the hall is this light, and it looks like a
- 1:09:07Speaker 7: door kind of cracked open. And you can hear a
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: TV running, and you think Larry's down there.
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: So I'm like, hey, Larry.
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: Larry?
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: We're walking.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: Larry?
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: Hello?
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: And we get a little closer, and I'm like, What
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: the is that? And it's a hand on the ground
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: and the door is going.
- 1:09:25Speaker 12: Boom, boom.
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: Against it like the wind is blowing it into the
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: hand laying on the ground and i'm like larry and
- 1:09:33Speaker 7: my friend tony says is that a hand and i'm like.
- 1:09:37Speaker 32: Oh my god it's larry we're like oh my god
- 1:09:40Speaker 32: we're gonna die we're in this black no light turned
- 1:09:43Speaker 32: on except for this hallway like that looks like a
- 1:09:45Speaker 32: shining and we're running out the thing screaming bloody murder
- 1:09:48Speaker 32: literally climbing.
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: Over each other leaping out the stairs climbing and screaming
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: up we ran all the way across the parking lot
- 1:09:55Speaker 7: to this fifth wheel and we're.
- 1:09:56Speaker 32: Like larry's dead and they're like is it just a
- 1:10:03Speaker 32: hand and i said they were like wait what do
- 1:10:04Speaker 32: you mean i go there's a hand on the ground
- 1:10:07Speaker 32: and there's like white noise and there's like larry's dead.
- 1:10:10Speaker 7: He won't move we got really close and it was
- 1:10:12Speaker 7: really scary and he wouldn't but we wouldn't respond and
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: then They're like, wait a minute, was it just a hand?
- 1:10:17Speaker 7: I'm like, what the hell do you mean, was it
- 1:10:20Speaker 7: just a hand?
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: Yes, it's a hand.
- 1:10:22Speaker 32: It's a hand like this, dead on the ground.
- 1:10:25Speaker 7: And he goes, oh, that's just Larry.
- 1:10:28Speaker 16: He likes to scare us sometimes.
- 1:10:29Speaker 7: That's probably his latest joke. And I was like, and
- 1:10:32Speaker 7: both of us were so scared that we, remember, this
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: is pre-cell phone days. It's not like you can run
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: and call mom or the Royal Canadian Mounties.
- 1:10:41Speaker 8: But how did he get just a hand on the ground?
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: How?
- 1:10:43Speaker 20: How?
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: Well, it's one of those fake hands.
- 1:10:47Speaker 32: Fake hands.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: Oh, Larry.
- 1:10:49Speaker 8: Larry.
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: Oh, Larry.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: Oh, Larry.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Oh, Larry.
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: And then, so, we ended up scooping the crap out
- 1:10:55Speaker 7: of the back of the trailer. Literally, my horses stood
- 1:10:57Speaker 7: there for 14 hours.
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: We scooped the.
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: Crap out of the back of the trailer, shared one
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: stall of the thing for the next five days.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: We had to drive through Canada because.
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: We were so scared.
- 1:11:05Speaker 15: We thought we were going to die.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: It was the worst.
- 1:11:08Speaker 21: Worst hotel life.
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: Oh, man.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Freaking Larry. That is a good one.
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: I don't normally call in, but I was like.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: No, I'm glad you did. That's a great story. Thank
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: you so much for sharing that with us.
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: We'll set you up with some Wicked Ball tickets, too.
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: That'd be great. That's great.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: Sabi.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: So I have two ghost experiences that connect in a way.
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:11:27Speaker 16: So the first time.
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: I had my niece with me sleeping in the living room.
- 1:11:31Speaker 16: This is here in Arizona.
- 1:11:31Speaker 24: And it's.
- 1:11:33Speaker 19: We were sleeping in the living room, and I have.
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: The TV that's behind us, and it's dark, and she's
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: facing it. And she just wakes up and says, the
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: man keeps.
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: Staring at us.
- 1:11:45Speaker 16: And I'm like, what are you talking about? The second time,
- 1:11:47Speaker 16: it's the same place. It's all connected.
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: It's me and my mom, and I have a newborn,
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: and she's in the other room.
- 1:11:55Speaker 16: We're not watching TV, but we're just sitting there.
- 1:11:58Speaker 19: And all of a sudden, we see This man walked
- 1:12:00Speaker 19: across the TV, like going into my kid's room.
- 1:12:04Speaker 28: And I freak out. I'm telling my mom and my
- 1:12:06Speaker 28: baby daddy, go check on her.
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: Like, what is that?
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: Go.
- 1:12:10Speaker 16: And nobody would go.
- 1:12:11Speaker 22: So I had to get up and go.
- 1:12:13Speaker 28: And I'm scared both these times.
- 1:12:14Speaker 16: And I love ghosts. So I think that's the scariest
- 1:12:17Speaker 16: thing that happened to me.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Was there a man? Did you follow the man?
- 1:12:21Speaker 18: There was nobody there, but my niece has seen it.
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: My daughter would look.
- 1:12:24Speaker 21: At random things and start smiling.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: Like the apartments are still there, but.
- 1:12:29Speaker 16: I don't live there.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: That's pretty scary. And you saw it. And the fact
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: that you say you love ghosts, that's weird. But okay, good.
- 1:12:34Speaker 15: Yes.
- 1:12:35Speaker 20: I mean, that's not the only experience, but that's the scariest.
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't like it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: I don't like it at all. Thank you, Sabi. Thank you. Adriana,
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: scariest thing that's ever happened to you. What do you got?
- 1:12:44Speaker 19: I'm looking straight out the wall, washing dishes, and I'm
- 1:12:46Speaker 19: looking through my window straight out the back patio. And
- 1:12:49Speaker 19: then I see the image of this, like, face is.
- 1:12:53Speaker 19: That is probably the shadow of the wall. And I
- 1:12:56Speaker 19: put it on my Instagram because it's great. I'm like,
- 1:12:57Speaker 19: please tell me I'm not crazy. And you all can
- 1:12:59Speaker 19: see the faces.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: And it looks like.
- 1:13:02Speaker 19: Several faces lined up. Scary as hell. Like Halloween stuff.
- 1:13:07Speaker 19: I screamed when I saw them because I'm like, this
- 1:13:10Speaker 19: is evil. It's horrible. You guys get the chicken out.
- 1:13:13Speaker 9: To me, it's horrible.
- 1:13:13Speaker 8: You're going to send it to us?
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: What's your Instagram?
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: Yeah, we need to see it.
- 1:13:17Speaker 19: Mama Cravings Kitchen.
- 1:13:19Speaker 14: Oh, yum.
- 1:13:21Speaker 8: That's all Hayden's concerned about is snacks. What kind of snacks?
- 1:13:25Speaker 19: Remember, I had told you guys I was going to
- 1:13:27Speaker 19: teach you how to make flour tortillas.
- 1:13:29Speaker 9: Oh, yes.
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: All right, send it to us because I'm having a
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: problem finding it. Thanks, Adriana.
- 1:13:34Speaker 25: Oh, wait.
- 1:13:36Speaker 9: And then I had the shortest.
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: Job in the world.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: Okay, what's your short job?
- 1:13:39Speaker 19: I worked at a restaurant for like five minutes.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:13:44Speaker 19: So the guy knew that I love cooking and stuff,
- 1:13:47Speaker 19: and my friend told him, like, oh, hi, Adriana.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: She's a great cook.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: I was younger and stuff.
- 1:13:51Speaker 19: I went over there, and he's like, let me show
- 1:13:54Speaker 19: you around. You can start today. And we're walking around,
- 1:13:57Speaker 19: and he's showing me around, and I see how they're cooking, like,
- 1:13:59Speaker 19: the food, and it's, like, canned beans.
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: And I'm like, oh, I'm not going to.
- 1:14:03Speaker 19: So I texted my friend and told her, can you
- 1:14:06Speaker 19: just call me and just, like, follow along?
- 1:14:08Speaker 27: So my friend called me, and I'm like, oh, my God.
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: Oh, no way.
- 1:14:11Speaker 19: I'm on my way.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
- 1:14:13Speaker 16: I have to leave.
- 1:14:13Speaker 7: My friend has an emergency.
- 1:14:15Speaker 19: I'm like, I'm not going to work for a restaurant
- 1:14:16Speaker 19: that makes, like, canned.
- 1:14:20Speaker 7: Beans.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: Okay. Offensive.
- 1:14:22Speaker 8: That's offensive.
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Thanks, Adriana.
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: Hi, Stephanie. What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 1:14:30Speaker 27: I was driving home after the bars closed in San Diego,
- 1:14:34Speaker 27: and my car was breaking down on the freeway.
- 1:14:37Speaker 16: So I was able to get over to the side
- 1:14:39Speaker 16: of the freeway.
- 1:14:40Speaker 27: And as I was on the phone with Automobile.
- 1:14:42Speaker 16: Club waiting for like a tow truck to come, a
- 1:14:46Speaker 16: white van pulls off the side of the freeway right
- 1:14:50Speaker 16: in front of my car on the shoulder.
- 1:14:52Speaker 27: And a man got out of the car immediately. And
- 1:14:55Speaker 27: came over to my doors and was trying to open
- 1:14:58Speaker 27: my doors while I was on the phone with AAA.
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:15:02Speaker 15: Yikes.
- 1:15:02Speaker 8: Oh, he was trying to kidnap whoever was in there.
- 1:15:05Speaker 24: Oh, my God.
- 1:15:06Speaker 16: I was freaking out. And poor guy, the dispatcher on
- 1:15:08Speaker 16: the phone, poor guy.
- 1:15:10Speaker 27: He didn't know what to do.
- 1:15:10Speaker 16: And I'm like, get somebody to call the police. Please
- 1:15:14Speaker 16: just do this.
- 1:15:15Speaker 27: And while I was on the phone with him and
- 1:15:17Speaker 27: this man was still trying to open my doors.
- 1:15:21Speaker 27: A CHP officer happened to be randomly pulling over somebody
- 1:15:25Speaker 27: on the freeway, and they stopped right behind me. And
- 1:15:29Speaker 27: as they were pulling over and the lights were flashing,
- 1:15:33Speaker 27: the man turned around and ran back to his van
- 1:15:36Speaker 27: and drove away.
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: That's what I'm talking about. That's terrifying.
- 1:15:42Speaker 16: It was, yes.
- 1:15:44Speaker 27: As soon as they drove away and the police officer
- 1:15:46Speaker 27: was done with writing his tickets, I got out of
- 1:15:49Speaker 27: the car, and I went back to the police officer,
- 1:15:51Speaker 27: and I just begged him. I was crying, and I just.
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: Begged him, please don't leave me, please don't leave me.
- 1:15:56Speaker 16: And I told him what happened, and he goes, I
- 1:15:57Speaker 16: saw that van.
- 1:15:58Speaker 27: I thought I was with you.
- 1:15:59Speaker 16: And I'm like, no, absolutely not.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: What's terrifying is that there's people like that, like that
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: dude is driving around probably looking for that to kidnap you,
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: to keep you in his basement.
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: Geez, Stephanie.
- 1:16:12Speaker 15: Or whatever.
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:13Speaker 14: Wow.
- 1:16:14Speaker 9: Terrifying.
- 1:16:14Speaker 27: Absolutely terrifying. And the thing is that I had just,
- 1:16:16Speaker 27: it was when cell phones were.
- 1:16:18Speaker 16: Just coming out. So, again, it was a long time ago.
- 1:16:20Speaker 27: I had just gotten my cell phone like the week before.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: Thanks for calling, Stephanie. Crazy, crazy stories. We're going to
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: get into this all week. All right. What's coming to
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: Entertainment News, Kyle?
- 1:16:30Speaker 13: The fantasy bra that Kylie Jenner wore in the Victoria's
- 1:16:33Speaker 13: Secret fashion show has an insane price tag.
- 1:16:35Speaker 11: I'll tell you just how much it's worth next with
- 1:16:37Speaker 11: John Jay and Rich. The biggest stars wake up with
- 1:16:42Speaker 11: John Jay and Rich. Hey, this is Selena Gomez. Hey,
- 1:16:45Speaker 11: it's Doja Cat.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: This is Harry Styles.
- 1:16:47Speaker 11: You are listening to John Jay and Rich. I wake
- 1:16:51Speaker 11: up with them.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich. Hey, we also got Doja Cat
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: tickets coming up in just a little bit, probably less
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: than 10 minutes. Keep listening. Kyle Payton, what's going on
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: in the entertainment world?
- 1:17:00Speaker 13: The Victoria's Secret fashion show was yesterday. Star-studded, huge celebrity party.
- 1:17:05Speaker 13: We had Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, Cat's Eye, they
- 1:17:08Speaker 13: all performed. Kylie Jenner made a surprise appearance on the
- 1:17:12Speaker 13: runway wearing the fantasy bra, covered in bajillions of diamonds.
- 1:17:17Speaker 13: And there, I don't know if you noticed or if
- 1:17:18Speaker 13: you saw a close-up of the bra, there is a
- 1:17:21Speaker 13: giant yellow diamond in the center of the bra.
- 1:17:23Speaker 11: That diamond alone, 75 carats. The entire bra is worth
- 1:17:27Speaker 11: $ 50 million. Insane.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: Insane.
- 1:17:31Speaker 13: They said they chose Kylie Jenner because she's not just
- 1:17:34Speaker 13: one thing.
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: She's fashion.
- 1:17:35Speaker 11: She's pop culture. She's all the things.
- 1:17:38Speaker 13: And I'm like, you chose Kylie Jenner because she's worth
- 1:17:40Speaker 13: a billion dollars and you weren't worried putting a $ 50 million.
- 1:17:42Speaker 8: Bra on her.
- 1:17:43Speaker 9: Yeah, valid.
- 1:17:44Speaker 11: And also she's Kylie Jenner.
- 1:17:45Speaker 9: Exactly. I felt like they... Victoria's Secret got their vibe back.
- 1:17:49Speaker 15: When I watched the clips of that show, I was
- 1:17:51Speaker 15: just like, this, this is what we've been missing. Having
- 1:17:55Speaker 15: Kylie Jenner rock the fantasy bra, I think, was the perfect, perfect,
- 1:17:59Speaker 15: perfect decision.
- 1:18:00Speaker 14: It was so good.
- 1:18:00Speaker 9: I don't know who else could have done it.
- 1:18:01Speaker 12: I know.
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: Well, I mean, there's probably a bunch of people that
- 1:18:04Speaker 11: could have done it.
- 1:18:04Speaker 9: Well, yeah, but she was perfect.
- 1:18:05Speaker 11: She was not a disappointment at all whatsoever in there.
- 1:18:08Speaker 9: And then you had.
- 1:18:09Speaker 11: You had like Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid walking.
- 1:18:10Speaker 13: And then Adriana Lima, who's like an OG Victoria's Secret model,
- 1:18:14Speaker 13: walked her 21st. 21st Victoria's Secret fashion show, which is
- 1:18:19Speaker 13: pretty amazing. And then you had like Barbara Palvin.
- 1:18:23Speaker 11: She looked amazing. She just gave birth 41 days ago.
- 1:18:26Speaker 11: like insane and looked absolutely stunning.
- 1:18:28Speaker 13: And what my favorite part was seeing her husband and
- 1:18:31Speaker 13: Timothee Chalamet front row going wild for their women.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: The video I saw that made me go, wow, was
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: Kobe's daughter walked in.
- 1:18:41Speaker 9: Yeah, she was awesome.
- 1:18:42Speaker 15: I love seeing Dylan's brows like in the front because
- 1:18:45Speaker 15: there's videos of all the other models walking.
- 1:18:47Speaker 9: He's just like, yeah, okay. And then Barbara's up and
- 1:18:49Speaker 9: he's standing up.
- 1:18:51Speaker 15: I'm like, that's how you love your lady out loud, man.
- 1:18:56Speaker 11: It was a really good show.
- 1:18:56Speaker 13: And I think you nailed it, Peyton, when you said,
- 1:18:58Speaker 13: I think they got their mojo back. Because for a
- 1:18:59Speaker 13: while it was like, is Victoria's Secret Fashion Show dead?
- 1:19:02Speaker 20: No.
- 1:19:03Speaker 11: She is very much alive.
- 1:19:04Speaker 9: And Tate McRae killed it.
- 1:19:05Speaker 8: Oh, she was awesome. You see Nicole Kidman checking her
- 1:19:08Speaker 8: out when she was like all.
- 1:19:09Speaker 18: Right.
- 1:19:10Speaker 8: Right in front of her.
- 1:19:10Speaker 9: And Nicole Kidman, she's popping right now. I mean, she's
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: always been popping, but Adele came out with that Nicole
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: Kidman song.
- 1:19:14Speaker 11: Well, they played that song.
- 1:19:15Speaker 9: So now she's everywhere.
- 1:19:16Speaker 11: They played that song with Nicole Kidman in the audience,
- 1:19:18Speaker 11: which is amazing.
- 1:19:19Speaker 13: You also probably saw tons and tons of pictures of
- 1:19:22Speaker 13: Taylor Swift at the Academy Museum Gala. I don't even
- 1:19:26Speaker 13: know what there is, but like all the celebrities were there.
- 1:19:28Speaker 13: It was A-lister after A-lister. She performed two songs. And
- 1:19:32Speaker 13: then went to the game to cheer on Travis Kelsey.
- 1:19:34Speaker 13: But Kim Kardashian was also in the building. And there's
- 1:19:37Speaker 13: a picture that is starting to swirl around online. And
- 1:19:40Speaker 13: here's the problem with AI. We don't know whether the
- 1:19:43Speaker 13: picture is real or not. But the picture is of
- 1:19:44Speaker 13: Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift talking at the gala. Which,
- 1:19:48Speaker 13: after a decade-long feud, has people chatting. But, like, the
- 1:19:51Speaker 13: picture hasn't been authenticated. So, not quite sure if that's real.
- 1:19:54Speaker 13: But if it is, they may be putting their feud together.
- 1:19:57Speaker 13: To rest a little bit. Kim Kardashian, she's actually out
- 1:20:00Speaker 13: and about promoting the second season of All's Fair. And
- 1:20:03Speaker 13: she was on with Jimmy Kimmel, who, you know, his
- 1:20:05Speaker 13: band guy, Guillermo, just got like let go on Dancing
- 1:20:08Speaker 13: with the Stars, but lasted five weeks. And so they
- 1:20:11Speaker 13: brought up Dancing with the Stars because if you remember,
- 1:20:12Speaker 13: Kim Kardashian was part of the show.
- 1:20:14Speaker 11: And she basically said it was kind of a miserable experience.
- 1:20:18Speaker 21: Three weeks.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: Three weeks? Oh, Guillermo, you lasted longer than Kim.
- 1:20:22Speaker 8: Five weeks, yeah. It's very hard, right?
- 1:20:24Speaker 16: It's so hard.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: No, I would honestly cry in my trailer, like, every
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: single night, like, praying to.
- 1:20:31Speaker 8: Get kicked off.
- 1:20:32Speaker 10: Oh, really?
- 1:20:32Speaker 11: It was so hard for me.
- 1:20:35Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh, Kim.
- 1:20:36Speaker 15: There is actually a little bit of drama right now
- 1:20:38Speaker 15: with Dancing with the Stars.
- 1:20:39Speaker 9: So for the first time ever, pro.
- 1:20:42Speaker 15: Val, he has been suspended for the week because basically
- 1:20:46Speaker 15: what had happened was the judge, Carrie Ann, she went
- 1:20:50Speaker 15: at his wife, Jenna Johnson, after a pretty sharp critique.
- 1:20:54Speaker 15: And Val went on, you know, on Instagram, how you
- 1:20:56Speaker 15: can make those little notes.
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: Like if you go to your messages, it has little
- 1:20:59Speaker 9: notes app.
- 1:21:00Speaker 15: On there, he was like, he made the Oscars reference
- 1:21:03Speaker 15: of like, keep my wife's name out your mouth. Basically
- 1:21:08Speaker 15: referencing the Oscar slap, all that. So they are suspending Val.
- 1:21:11Speaker 15: He cannot dance during dedication week.
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: I think he said like Will Smith almost made an
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: appearance last night.
- 1:21:16Speaker 15: Will Smith almost made an appearance last night.
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: They suspended him. His post was in poor taste, but
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: to suspend him?
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: You know, like you're messing up all the people he's
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: dancing with.
- 1:21:26Speaker 8: I mean, though, she did do a lift. You know
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: how they feel about those lifts and those dances. Oh,
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: the rules are the rules.
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: The rules are the rules.
- 1:21:31Speaker 11: You don't tick off Carrie Ann and Abba.
- 1:21:33Speaker 15: Yeah, no, you don't do that. So, yeah, that was
- 1:21:36Speaker 15: a little spicy, some drama with Dancing with the Stars.
- 1:21:38Speaker 15: But Harry Styles, he is bringing his historic tour to
- 1:21:42Speaker 15: the big screen. Camera crews have been around during the
- 1:21:46Speaker 15: Together Together tour and have been recording a documentary for us.
- 1:21:51Speaker 15: So like how we got the Taylor Swift Heiress tour,
- 1:21:53Speaker 15: how we got the Billie Eilish tour. Looks like we
- 1:21:55Speaker 15: are going to get Harry Styles as well to hit
- 1:21:58Speaker 15: Netflix concert special.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: He also played a song for Louis that he wrote
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: for Louis.
- 1:22:04Speaker 13: It's Liam Payne's death. It was the two-year anniversary. Yeah,
- 1:22:07Speaker 13: this was on Friday.
- 1:22:08Speaker 8: Here's another song from the week.
- 1:22:10Speaker 12: At the show.
- 1:22:10Speaker 8: Haven't heard that one yet.
- 1:22:11Speaker 11: He did perform a new song. This song was called
- 1:22:13Speaker 11: What Is Enough?
- 1:22:14Speaker 13: But before he did, yeah, he gave a tribute to
- 1:22:17Speaker 13: his friend Liam, and it was very emotional.
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: There are so many.
- 1:22:20Speaker 24: People in my life, friends and people that I've walked with,
- 1:22:24Speaker 24: that I wouldn't have been able to do this without.
- 1:22:26Speaker 15: And two years ago today, I lost one of those friends.
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: I'm sure a lot of you have been through similar things.
- 1:22:33Speaker 12: I hope you haven't.
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: But really, it's just about looking.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: After each other.
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: There are so many people more than my name that
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: is on that banner. There are so many more people
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: behind it, so many people who have touched my life
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: in such special ways.
- 1:22:48Speaker 13: Speaking of emotional tributes, then you had Miley Cyrus at
- 1:22:51Speaker 13: the Hollywood Bowl, and she literally broke down talking about
- 1:22:55Speaker 13: Dolly Parton and the presence she felt with her in
- 1:22:58Speaker 13: that room.
- 1:22:59Speaker 14: Knowing that she's right here beside me every day, all
- 1:23:04Speaker 14: the time, more than she could be when she was here.
- 1:23:07Speaker 14: I feel her more now than ever. And knowing that
- 1:23:11Speaker 14: I get to share this story with you all, it
- 1:23:14Speaker 14: makes that night very worth it. This memory is gold
- 1:23:17Speaker 14: to me. Me and Dolly, we are eternal. Nothing in
- 1:23:21Speaker 14: this life could ever tear us apart. And I'm going
- 1:23:24Speaker 14: to see her again.
- 1:23:26Speaker 9: And I can't wait because I miss her. So sweet.
- 1:23:29Speaker 13: She actually shared that Dolly Parton only got to actually
- 1:23:32Speaker 13: watch her perform. Like, she only got to watch Dolly
- 1:23:34Speaker 13: perform one time.
- 1:23:35Speaker 8: And she was, like.
- 1:23:36Speaker 11: In the audience.
- 1:23:36Speaker 13: And she had had a conversation with Dolly ahead of time.
- 1:23:38Speaker 13: It was like, I just want to be able to
- 1:23:39Speaker 13: watch the show. I'm so excited to be here. And
- 1:23:42Speaker 13: Dolly called her out. It was like, little did you know,
- 1:23:44Speaker 13: Miley Cyrus is in the crowd.
- 1:23:46Speaker 9: Oh, my gosh. She's like, why? Yeah, and she's like, the.
- 1:23:49Speaker 13: One time she got to see her perform was there
- 1:23:51Speaker 13: at the Hollywood Bowl. So it was an extra special
- 1:23:54Speaker 13: performance for her.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: I don't think she's going to be doing the Super Bowl.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: I saw this thing. I saw this thing where she
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: said she gets so much anxiety doing performing arts in general.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: And big, big audiences like that. Like, the Hollywood Bowl
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: is pretty small.
- 1:24:04Speaker 15: She said that she doesn't enjoy doing, like, the touring schedule.
- 1:24:08Speaker 15: So that's why there was a lot of speculation. maybe
- 1:24:10Speaker 15: she'll do a residency somewhere in Vegas because she just
- 1:24:12Speaker 15: doesn't want to pack up and be.
- 1:24:13Speaker 9: On the road all the time.
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: Well, I have friends that are at that show. They
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: said that the, they said the whole thing was great,
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: but except the first hour was all her new album.
- 1:24:20Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24:21Speaker 9: We don't know this yet.
- 1:24:23Speaker 11: We can't sing along yet. She's so talented though.
- 1:24:27Speaker 8: She did.
- 1:24:28Speaker 13: If she did the Super Bowl halftime show, no one
- 1:24:29Speaker 13: would be disappointed, I feel like. There's a bizarre interview
- 1:24:32Speaker 13: of Amanda Seyfried that is now going viral.
- 1:24:34Speaker 25: I saw that.
- 1:24:35Speaker 11: It was at the Red Carpet.
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: Over this weekend, okay?
- 1:24:37Speaker 13: And it turns out she was actually trying to keep
- 1:24:39Speaker 13: a huge secret. So she had— and this is a spoiler alert,
- 1:24:43Speaker 13: so if you don't want a spoiler alert about the
- 1:24:46Speaker 13: Elizabeth Holmes documentary— tune out for just two seconds, but
- 1:24:49Speaker 13: she has a surprise role.
- 1:24:50Speaker 11: In the documentary. So she, and apparently she's going through divorce.
- 1:24:53Speaker 13: So when she gets to this interview, the interviewer is like, Hey,
- 1:24:57Speaker 13: how's your life right now?
- 1:24:58Speaker 11: And she's like, it's interesting.
- 1:25:00Speaker 8: It's really hard to do interviews right now.
- 1:25:02Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:25:03Speaker 9: But for good reason, like, I don't know.
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: I think.
- 1:25:06Speaker 25: Everything that's happening is meant to happen. Everyone that's in
- 1:25:09Speaker 25: your life is meant to be in your life. And
- 1:25:10Speaker 25: I'm here tonight, and I'm meant to be here, and
- 1:25:12Speaker 25: I get to go home tomorrow, and I'm meant to
- 1:25:13Speaker 25: be home, and so on and so forth, and then some.
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: For people who are going to approach you over the
- 1:25:17Speaker 8: next couple days, tell them what's the best way to engage.
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: What do you want to talk.
- 1:25:21Speaker 8: About besides things you can't talk about?
- 1:25:23Speaker 20: Because we know that there's things you can't talk about.
- 1:25:25Speaker 9: I like to talk about the emus. I like to
- 1:25:27Speaker 9: talk about the emus. And I like to talk about Halloween.
- 1:25:30Speaker 8: Apple pie.
- 1:25:31Speaker 13: And then it's funny because later she commented on the
- 1:25:34Speaker 13: video of herself.
- 1:25:36Speaker 11: And was like, what am I even saying?
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: What am I even saying?
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: I saw all of that. I went to the video.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: I watched it. I saw her comment on the video.
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: And I'm like, what? So you're saying she's doing it.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: She's in the movie.
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: She was.
- 1:25:46Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:25:46Speaker 11: So she was.
- 1:25:47Speaker 13: There's like this Elizabeth Holmes documentary thing. I guess she
- 1:25:50Speaker 13: has a surprise appearance in it. But like people started
- 1:25:53Speaker 13: hearing about it and talking about it.
- 1:25:55Speaker 11: But she wasn't supposed to.
- 1:25:56Speaker 8: Like ruin this. Because it opened this weekend in theaters,
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: not online.
- 1:25:59Speaker 13: It's like theaters or something like that.
- 1:26:02Speaker 8: Sold out, though, everywhere.
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:26:04Speaker 16: Weird.
- 1:26:05Speaker 15: I know.
- 1:26:07Speaker 24: Hey.
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: Kyle Unfug, what do we need to know today?
- 1:26:16Speaker 13: I started seeing like videos of Paris on fire and
- 1:26:20Speaker 13: I didn't know if it was like AI or what
- 1:26:23Speaker 13: was going on because they were like videos of these.
- 1:26:27Speaker 13: historic buildings that lasted through two world wars.
- 1:26:30Speaker 11: And are now being totally and completely burnt down.
- 1:26:33Speaker 13: And it wasn't AI. There are riots in Paris. They're
- 1:26:37Speaker 13: dealing with massive unrest right now. Protesters have blocked the
- 1:26:41Speaker 13: Louvre from opening. What started, I guess, as students protesting
- 1:26:45Speaker 13: over school conditions has now just turned into riots, fueled
- 1:26:48Speaker 13: by frustration over the cost of living with reports of
- 1:26:50Speaker 13: fires looting.
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: I mean.
- 1:26:52Speaker 13: The videos of like the Christian Dior store, like all
- 1:26:55Speaker 13: of these really expensive, crazy Paris shopping areas are like
- 1:27:00Speaker 13: completely ruined right now.
- 1:27:02Speaker 11: Completely ruined. There's over half a million people protesting.
- 1:27:07Speaker 8: Half a million?
- 1:27:08Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:27:09Speaker 13: And so it's caused a lot of damage.
- 1:27:11Speaker 11: And so now the Paris.
- 1:27:14Speaker 13: The French government is going to have to deal with
- 1:27:15Speaker 13: all of this and figure out how they can fix
- 1:27:17Speaker 13: the situation.
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: You know what I heard? I heard, so, like, all
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: this is going on, right? And then, like, the president
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: of France was at a Celine Dion concert.
- 1:27:24Speaker 11: Oh, that's not good.
- 1:27:25Speaker 9: Don't you think you should leave the concert?
- 1:27:27Speaker 13: You should probably leave and figure out, yeah. At the time,
- 1:27:30Speaker 13: maybe just didn't know how bad it was getting. But, yeah,
- 1:27:32Speaker 13: they were already taking 2,300 people into custody. Like I said,
- 1:27:35Speaker 13: tons and tons of damage. And now the French government
- 1:27:37Speaker 13: is actually considering... Like a curfew, like a countrywide curfew.
- 1:27:41Speaker 8: You probably need it because there's so much. Like some
- 1:27:45Speaker 8: of the– it looks like they burned down castles, those
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: beautiful homes.
- 1:27:48Speaker 13: Like I said, historic– hello, hello.
- 1:27:52Speaker 11: My microphones are– right.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: They're burning down castles.
- 1:27:56Speaker 11: I mean, historic buildings that literally, I mean, they lasted
- 1:27:58Speaker 11: through world wars.
- 1:27:59Speaker 4: Sad.
- 1:27:59Speaker 11: But not this right.
- 1:28:00Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:28:01Speaker 11: This is also really sad.
- 1:28:02Speaker 13: A military tribute at a college football game in Texas
- 1:28:04Speaker 13: went terribly wrong over the weekend.
- 1:28:06Speaker 11: Four Air Force members were supposed to.
- 1:28:08Speaker 13: Rappel down from the ceiling of the Alamo Dome before
- 1:28:10Speaker 13: the UTSA Navy game. But then one of them fell
- 1:28:14Speaker 13: like 170 feet. They rushed him to the hospital, and sadly,
- 1:28:17Speaker 13: he did not make it. And now they're going and investigating,
- 1:28:20Speaker 13: trying to figure out exactly what happened, what went wrong,
- 1:28:22Speaker 13: because this person obviously knew how to rappel. So yeah,
- 1:28:25Speaker 13: just absolutely a tragic event there. On a little bit
- 1:28:28Speaker 13: of a brighter note, there is so much money in
- 1:28:31Speaker 13: tech right now that these billionaires and billion-dollar companies are
- 1:28:35Speaker 13: just talking about giving away.
- 1:28:35Speaker 11: They want to give away some money.
- 1:28:37Speaker 13: So Elon Musk, he says he wants to give every
- 1:28:39Speaker 13: American child a share of SpaceX stock next year. And
- 1:28:44Speaker 13: that could definitely be worth a lot of money.
- 1:28:47Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:28:47Speaker 13: Like kids won't know what stock is, but as, SpaceX grows,
- 1:28:50Speaker 13: they'll have a little.
- 1:28:52Speaker 11: Piece of it along the way.
- 1:28:53Speaker 13: And then the company behind the AI chatbot, Claude, is
- 1:28:57Speaker 13: now setting aside 5% of its shares for a fund
- 1:28:59Speaker 13: that they say could eventually be worth tens of billions
- 1:29:02Speaker 13: of dollars. And that fund is specifically to go towards charities,
- 1:29:07Speaker 13: scientific research, and helping people who lose their jobs to AI.
- 1:29:12Speaker 13: Of course, there's still a lot of details that they
- 1:29:13Speaker 13: have to work out, but these are some pretty massive
- 1:29:15Speaker 13: promises that they're making and just kind of shows you
- 1:29:18Speaker 13: how much money is.
- 1:29:19Speaker 8: In tech right now?
- 1:29:20Speaker 11: Like, yeah, tens of billions of dollars.
- 1:29:22Speaker 8: Just give it away. Okay.
- 1:29:24Speaker 11: Now we know how much you make.
- 1:29:26Speaker 13: The Cardinals had an absolutely insane game against.
- 1:29:29Speaker 11: The Rams yesterday.
- 1:29:30Speaker 13: I don't know if you guys saw this, but they
- 1:29:31Speaker 13: didn't even score a single touchdown, but they pulled off
- 1:29:33Speaker 13: the upstate, beat the Rams.
- 1:29:35Speaker 11: Every one of our 18 points came from our kicker.
- 1:29:42Speaker 13: Chad Ryland scored six field goals, including the game winner
- 1:29:46Speaker 13: in the last 10 seconds.
- 1:29:47Speaker 11: It was a pretty exciting game.
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:29:50Speaker 9: I'm sure he went home feeling like that guy. You
- 1:29:53Speaker 9: literally carried everyone on your back. Thank you for that.
- 1:29:56Speaker 11: Way to go, Chad.
- 1:29:57Speaker 13: Way to go, Cardinals. It was pretty exciting to watch. Also, Arizona,
- 1:30:01Speaker 13: our state, could be getting a fourth national park. It's
- 1:30:04Speaker 13: a place that a lot of us probably haven't even visited.
- 1:30:07Speaker 13: There is legislation apparently on the president's desk to turn.
- 1:30:11Speaker 11: Chiricahua National Monument.
- 1:30:13Speaker 13: In southeastern Arizona into a national park, joining the Grand Canyon, Saguaro,
- 1:30:18Speaker 13: and Petrified Forest.
- 1:30:19Speaker 11: It's known for these.
- 1:30:20Speaker 13: Incredible towering rock formations, and the proposal could bring a
- 1:30:24Speaker 13: lot more tourists to our state, which could be pretty awesome.
- 1:30:27Speaker 8: What is it now?
- 1:30:28Speaker 11: It's just a national monument.
- 1:30:30Speaker 3: This is just a park.
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: Just a neighborhood. Now it's going to be.
- 1:30:34Speaker 11: A national park.
- 1:30:36Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:30:36Speaker 9: That'd be pretty cool for the
- 1:30:37Speaker 11: State to get more people in, and that's what you
- 1:30:39Speaker 11: need to know.
