- 0:16Speaker 2: Back for a second season and what should be his
- 0:18Speaker 2: first full season. I should say here in Seattle, Cooppolcoco
- 0:22Speaker 2: joining us, thank you very much once again, hope for
- 0:24Speaker 2: some of those terrific And if I can first start
- 0:26Speaker 2: off with this, now that you're onto a new team,
- 0:28Speaker 2: a new city, new surroundings, a new start, what does
- 0:33Speaker 2: stability mean to you?
- 0:35Speaker 3: I mean, I can't say it's it's kind of new anymore.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I was here, I don't know, for four months last
- 0:41Speaker 3: last season, So it was nice to get here and
- 0:46Speaker 3: you know, see see the city and you know all
- 0:49Speaker 3: the teammates and how the thing's going here. And I
- 0:53Speaker 3: can say it's very easier to come here right now
- 0:55Speaker 3: and then kind of know how the things are working.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I mean, we also have a lot of new faces here,
- 1:02Speaker 3: you know, the coaching staff and a couple of new
- 1:05Speaker 3: guys also, so something new for me, but also a
- 1:10Speaker 3: lot of things I already know. So that's that makes
- 1:14Speaker 3: it way easier before we.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Get onto those new faces. What do you know and
- 1:18Speaker 2: appreciate about Seattle words you didn't know compared to about
- 1:21Speaker 2: Prougherly a year ago.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I like the nature over here. I
- 1:27Speaker 3: think it's kind of the same what we have in Finland.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I mean, I was in New York before, so that's
- 1:34Speaker 3: that's way different. But yeah, I mean the time I
- 1:37Speaker 3: was here was pretty nice. It was not raining that
- 1:40Speaker 3: much that the people told me when I got here,
- 1:43Speaker 3: and I mean I didn't stay here for the summer
- 1:46Speaker 3: about people saying that's pretty nice also about it, I
- 1:50Speaker 3: mean it's still nice when I got here, and it's
- 1:53Speaker 3: very nice outside right now. Also, but I'm here with
- 1:56Speaker 3: inside talking with you about I mean, it's I like
- 2:00Speaker 3: this place.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Time to get outside soon, right, Yeah, you've had a
- 2:03Speaker 2: sense of what life is like for travel in the
- 2:05Speaker 2: Eastern Conference and now the Western Conference to you. Now,
- 2:08Speaker 2: what's the best road stop in the NHL.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I think everyone's saying Florida. I gotta say that. Also,
- 2:16Speaker 3: it's especially during this season, it's kind of dark and
- 2:21Speaker 3: cold everywhere, so it's it's nice to get there, get
- 2:23Speaker 3: some sun and you know, I gotta say that.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Couple of Coco joining us right now, we know how
- 2:29Speaker 2: much you've had a connection with Matty Beniers on the ice.
- 2:31Speaker 2: What makes him the ideal teammate off the ice?
- 2:35Speaker 3: Off the ice? I mean he's he's on and off
- 2:37Speaker 3: the ice, very smart guy. I can say that. And
- 2:42Speaker 3: I mean because we played together. Also, he like we
- 2:45Speaker 3: kind of tolk a lot about the game and also
- 2:48Speaker 3: things off the ice. And I mean he was close
- 2:52Speaker 3: with totally went I got here and I stayed with
- 2:55Speaker 3: totally a little bit. I mean he's a Phoenix guy also,
- 2:57Speaker 3: so we be spending time time together. Also about her.
- 3:01Speaker 3: I mean he's about the same aids with me. And
- 3:05Speaker 3: that's a great guy. I mean, that's that's all what
- 3:08Speaker 3: I can say.
- 3:08Speaker 2: How many times have Maddie and Tolby made.
- 3:11Speaker 3: You laugh a lot? I mean I can say a
- 3:15Speaker 3: couple of times yesterday. Also we got some football, so
- 3:20Speaker 3: at least a couple of times yesterday, and and then
- 3:23Speaker 3: I can't say how many times before then.
- 3:25Speaker 2: So who's your favorite team now?
- 3:27Speaker 3: Oh? I mean, I I got to say Seattle. It
- 3:31Speaker 3: would be nice to go for the for the game.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Also at some point.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Last season to this point, what did that year tell
- 3:38Speaker 2: you about how you and Maddie and then who also
- 3:41Speaker 2: jumps on your line together as far as how you function,
- 3:44Speaker 2: what made things work for you?
- 3:46Speaker 3: I feel I just got a chance over here. I mean,
- 3:50Speaker 3: I can't say I didn't get it before, but I
- 3:55Speaker 3: mean I played with Maddie. He kind of pretty fast
- 3:58Speaker 3: being you eat other pretty well, and the kind of
- 4:01Speaker 3: know what what we're going to do on the ice,
- 4:04Speaker 3: and I feel he knows what I can do and
- 4:07Speaker 3: I know what he can do. Also, there was Swarts.
- 4:11Speaker 3: He was a lot with us, and I feel he
- 4:13Speaker 3: had a pretty good line and some very good games.
- 4:16Speaker 3: But I mean, I feel we kind of all of
- 4:20Speaker 3: us knew what we should do out there. And you know,
- 4:24Speaker 3: I was in the corners or behind the net, close
- 4:27Speaker 3: to the net doing my things, and I mean, like
- 4:30Speaker 3: I said, we just all new what we should do.
- 4:33Speaker 2: You have been complimented before on your on ice Fishion.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Who would you used to watch growing up that had
- 4:38Speaker 2: it better than anybody else?
- 4:41Speaker 3: When I was young, I would say Patrick Kane was
- 4:44Speaker 3: my favorite player, So I've been watching watching him. I
- 4:51Speaker 3: gotta see mekranth and also he's he's from the same
- 4:55Speaker 3: city with me and five years older. So I was
- 4:59Speaker 3: watching him when he played in Finland, and I mean
- 5:02Speaker 3: good friend right now. But I mean he's he's a
- 5:06Speaker 3: big boy and strong with the puck, and I think
- 5:10Speaker 3: he's got some things I've been learning also and trying
- 5:12Speaker 3: to do on the ice also. So those are a
- 5:15Speaker 3: couple of guys.
- 5:16Speaker 2: When you think of the new players now that we
- 5:17Speaker 2: get to this part that come into this room this year,
- 5:20Speaker 2: what do you look forward to playing with them, especially
- 5:22Speaker 2: with this guy at the top in Ryan Lindgren.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I know him before. He's he's going to be
- 5:27Speaker 3: good for us. He's one of the best teammates I
- 5:29Speaker 3: ever had, and I mean great guy on and off
- 5:33Speaker 3: the ice, always giving everything for the team. You know,
- 5:37Speaker 3: hates hates losing games. You I mean, he's he's going
- 5:42Speaker 3: to be good for us. And I think all the
- 5:43Speaker 3: all the guys we got. Martie was hard to play
- 5:47Speaker 3: against us, was never fun and and good Row is
- 5:51Speaker 3: been looking very good, very skilled, good with the puck.
- 5:55Speaker 3: So that's what I can say.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Appreciate this cop, welcome back, thank you.
- 6:01Speaker 3: For thank you, thank you.
