- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is It's back.
- 0:13Speaker 2: What's going on? Everybody?
- 0:14Speaker 1: It's Jeff Mosher, It's Adam Kaplan, and we are finishing
- 0:17Speaker 1: our two part Eagles Props series and we're looking at
- 0:22Speaker 1: individual props for Eagles players as opposed to the first
- 0:24Speaker 1: podcast where we looked at the props for team success
- 0:27Speaker 1: compared that to the year before. We determined, Adam that
- 0:31Speaker 1: Vegas is not as high on the Eagles overall success
- 0:34Speaker 1: this year as they were last year. And now we're
- 0:37Speaker 1: gonna look at this is like a fun fantasy football
- 0:40Speaker 1: type thing. We look at individual players and what Vegas
- 0:43Speaker 1: is expecting of their individual seasons.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's always interesting to see how these they
- 0:49Speaker 2: think the players are going to do. One year, they
- 0:52Speaker 2: thought Barkley would suck. One year, they thought you'd do better.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know, it just depends on the year. That's just
- 0:56Speaker 2: it's kind of funny how it works out. But yeah, boy,
- 0:59Speaker 2: I just it's funny. Two years ago, I thought I
- 1:02Speaker 2: knew they missed on Barkley. They were basically doing the worry.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I get it. He ended his career poorly with the Giants.
- 1:10Speaker 2: He had a bunch of injuries over his career, obviously
- 1:12Speaker 2: very talented. Now, no one could have predicted what he
- 1:15Speaker 2: would wind up doing. But if I recall correctly, I
- 1:18Speaker 2: think it was one thousand point five. This was the
- 1:20Speaker 2: over undertotal. Like I love the over now, trist Be
- 1:24Speaker 2: told I liked the over last year didn't hit. He
- 1:26Speaker 2: didn't have a good year, But we didn't know what
- 1:29Speaker 2: was coming. And that's the beauty of doing these early.
- 1:32Speaker 2: You just don't know exactly how it's gonna look. We're
- 1:34Speaker 2: doing this, yes, after the A. J. Brown trade, but
- 1:36Speaker 2: before training camp starts.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Barkley being one of them. But there were a
- 1:40Speaker 1: lot of players to make some money on two years ago,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and there were a lot of players to lose some
- 1:44Speaker 1: money on last year. As Barkley's rushing total last year
- 1:48Speaker 1: he was way short of. So let's look at this
- 1:51Speaker 1: year and we'll go through some of the bigger names.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts. Let's talk about his NFL MVP odds, because
- 1:57Speaker 1: I find a fact here based on these odds to
- 2:00Speaker 1: be quite fascinating.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, to be the NFL MVP, which is the ap
- 2:05Speaker 2: NFL MVP that's actually recognized for players incentives. That Hurts
- 2:10Speaker 2: his plus thirty five hundred which to me, if let's
- 2:16Speaker 2: put it this way, if the Eagles are a thirteen
- 2:17Speaker 2: or fourteen win team, that I would bet that he's
- 2:22Speaker 2: having a fantastic year. He's getting the timing part of
- 2:25Speaker 2: the offense, which is the most important for him. Yep. Sure,
- 2:28Speaker 2: they could run the ball better they're going to than
- 2:29Speaker 2: they did last year. How could they run it worse?
- 2:31Speaker 2: And the defense should be very good to elite. But
- 2:34Speaker 2: if they're going to be a deep playoff team. We
- 2:37Speaker 2: understand this is only based on the regular season, but
- 2:39Speaker 2: if they're a thirteen win team or more, Hurts is
- 2:42Speaker 2: going to get some recognition for MVP.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Has to Yeah, And so two things stand out about
- 2:46Speaker 1: this to me plus thirty five hundred. I mean, if
- 2:48Speaker 1: you are really thinking the Eagles are going to be
- 2:50Speaker 1: good this year and the new offense is going to
- 2:52Speaker 1: help Hurts like you were saying that you want to,
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's a good way to win some easy money, man.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I mean, if the Eagles are really good and good
- 2:59Speaker 1: to a Super Bowl, he could easily be the NFL MVP,
- 3:01Speaker 1: especially since he hasn't won it yet and there will
- 3:03Speaker 1: always be some kind of it's finally his time. He's
- 3:06Speaker 1: a super Bowl Champion. He's in the two right, so
- 3:09Speaker 1: you throw onn like fifty bucks on plus thirty three thousand,
- 3:12Speaker 1: five hundred. That's great. The second thing that stands out
- 3:15Speaker 1: to me, Adam, is that he is he has the
- 3:19Speaker 1: third shortest odds out of the four NFC East quarterbacks
- 3:24Speaker 1: to win it, because number one would be Dak Prescott,
- 3:29Speaker 1: way higher at or lower however we want to describe it.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But Dak Prescott is only plus twelve hundred and Jaden
- 3:36Speaker 1: Daniels plus two thousand. So how about this? How about this?
- 3:41Speaker 1: He is as far from Jaden Daniels at thirty five
- 3:44Speaker 1: hundred as he is from the fourth quarterback, Jackson Dart,
- 3:49Speaker 1: who's fifteen hundred below him at five thousand. How can
- 3:53Speaker 1: you be as close to Jackson Dart as you are
- 3:56Speaker 1: far from Jaden Daniels when you're Jalen.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Hurts and Dangels is coming off of a injury plague season,
- 4:03Speaker 2: the commanders were terrible. How could he have better odds
- 4:06Speaker 2: than Hurts? I just don't understand that. I'm mystified at
- 4:12Speaker 2: that one. Look, if you're based on us first year,
- 4:15Speaker 2: I could understand that where he was close to elite
- 4:18Speaker 2: as a rookie last year was not as good. They
- 4:20Speaker 2: didn't help them, and honestly, now I know that they
- 4:23Speaker 2: know they're going to have to add a receiver of
- 4:26Speaker 2: some degree. They can't go in with this group. They
- 4:30Speaker 2: need to help McLaurin out and help the quarterback out.
- 4:32Speaker 2: But that's just ridiculous to have the shorter odds and
- 4:36Speaker 2: it hurts, And it's funny with Mahomes like he's coming
- 4:40Speaker 2: off of a major injury, like comeback player of the
- 4:42Speaker 2: Year maybe, but he's only plus one thousand. In fact,
- 4:46Speaker 2: the shorter odds are Josh Allen a plus eight hundred.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, six, yeah, yep. I mean this is crazy.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I think I honestly think there's better if you're just
- 4:57Speaker 1: doing this for making money. I mean, Matthew Stafford fourteen hundred.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I mean, everybody thinks the Rams are going to be
- 5:02Speaker 1: the top team, and you're always looking for the guy
- 5:06Speaker 1: who's gonna put up some huge numbers. I mean, Goff
- 5:08Speaker 1: could Mayfield that there's just a lot of interesting names
- 5:11Speaker 1: here that I'd almost feel more comfortable with in the
- 5:14Speaker 1: top three of album and Herbert.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Right now the next one. You know, if you're just
- 5:20Speaker 2: going by pure numbers. That's where Offensive Player of the
- 5:22Speaker 2: Year comes in. That's why you might see receiver win run.
- 5:25Speaker 2: You know, there are other positions that could win it. Yeah,
- 5:28Speaker 2: the Offensive Player of the Year one. It's funny because
- 5:31Speaker 2: it's so different if you look at the way that
- 5:32Speaker 2: they've graded these players comparatively to the MVP award, right,
- 5:38Speaker 2: it's fascinating. So Jamiir Gibbs is number one, a plus
- 5:42Speaker 2: seven point fifty, just to give you comparison, Hurts is
- 5:46Speaker 2: to be Offensive Player of the Year. Let me make
- 5:49Speaker 2: sure I have this right, mean, let me roll this down.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Well as you roll it, as people understand. Because quarterbacks
- 5:55Speaker 1: almost always win MVP, the voters choose a piss additional
- 6:00Speaker 1: player to win Offensive Player of the Year a lot
- 6:02Speaker 1: of the times. So you're not gonna see I don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: think you see a quarterback on this list until plus
- 6:07Speaker 1: sixty six hundred at Josh Allen. All right, and then
- 6:10Speaker 1: you can get through probably like twenty five names, including
- 6:14Speaker 1: guys like Devon h and Nicocollins receive rice before you
- 6:19Speaker 1: even get to Josh Allen.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny because Hurts his plus ten thousand, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: so's Javonte Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Garrett Wilson's coming off on
- 6:30Speaker 2: a knee issue. It's kind of funny that too, but
- 6:33Speaker 2: again it's a numbers driven one. It hurts it to me.
- 6:36Speaker 2: He let's put it this way. In twenty two, we know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: you know, he got hurt late, but it wasn't like
- 6:43Speaker 2: he threw for five thousand yards, but he was, so
- 6:45Speaker 2: it was just such a great year. If you watched
- 6:46Speaker 2: it visually with him and AJ Brown together, Yep, it
- 6:50Speaker 2: was a monster year for the deep ball and all that. So, yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 2: it'll be fascinating to see what happens. But because of
- 6:58Speaker 2: as you said, it's surely it's it's more a skill
- 7:01Speaker 2: position position skill position award hurts his only plus ten thousand.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, listen, he's either gonna win MVP or
- 7:08Speaker 1: he's not. I don't see him winning Offensive Player of
- 7:11Speaker 1: the Year unless he and another quarterback have such unbelievable
- 7:14Speaker 1: years and there's really not a running back or receiver
- 7:17Speaker 1: that does, which is very hard to envision. Let's go
- 7:21Speaker 1: to passing yards because I'm sort of flum mixed by
- 7:23Speaker 1: this side by the number a years.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Who but it makes sense because well, oh, yeah, because
- 7:30Speaker 2: think about it, right, passing yards thirty one point thirty
- 7:33Speaker 2: one to fifty point five.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Oh, I was reading this, Okay, so that's three hundred
- 7:37Speaker 1: and fifteen yards per game, but I got thirty one.
- 7:39Speaker 2: No, no, it's for the season, thirty one to fifty last year.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Just just to understand hurts at thirty just thirty two
- 7:44Speaker 2: to twenty four. Mkay. Even in that monster season, he's
- 7:49Speaker 2: thirty seven oh one and that was with AJ Brown.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And there are a lot of questions in the passing
- 7:54Speaker 2: yardage number. I don't like. This is a no MP
- 7:56Speaker 2: means no play right, thirty one to fifty point five,
- 8:00Speaker 2: the overs minus twenty so so so the nut. So
- 8:04Speaker 2: people are betting it over. That's why they're their favorite
- 8:07Speaker 2: to its favor to go over. It to me is
- 8:09Speaker 2: a no play the unders minus one hundred. I just
- 8:11Speaker 2: don't like it because it's really hard to when you
- 8:14Speaker 2: don't have AJ Brown. Yes, we like DeVante Smith. How
- 8:17Speaker 2: much health is he gonna get? M hmm, that would
- 8:19Speaker 2: worry me. That's that's that one I'd pass pass.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm with you. I don't. I just stay away
- 8:24Speaker 1: from that altogether because his passing numbers are so scattershot
- 8:30Speaker 1: all throughout, like it's they can drop or raise between
- 8:34Speaker 1: three to four hundred depending on the season. So it's
- 8:36Speaker 1: it's just too erratic for me to to put to
- 8:39Speaker 1: even you know, try to like make money off of
- 8:41Speaker 1: if I.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Were to ye next one passing touchdowns twenty same way.
- 8:45Speaker 1: About that, By the way, what's that? I feel the
- 8:48Speaker 1: same way about passing touchdowns.
- 8:49Speaker 2: It's just right, Well, here's the see, here's the problem.
- 8:53Speaker 2: If you look at it's his first year is a
- 8:55Speaker 2: full time starters twenty one, look at only passing touchdowns
- 8:58Speaker 2: sixteen twenty two, just twenty two with aj Brown. Now
- 9:03Speaker 2: he had a he had a big good yard this
- 9:06Speaker 2: year at thirty seven oh one. Twenty three was so
- 9:09Speaker 2: erratic and he turned the ball over. But he had
- 9:11Speaker 2: his biggest passing order season at thirty fifty eight, and
- 9:15Speaker 2: then he took the massive dip with obviously with Barkley.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Passing game regression just twenty nine ozho threeis pathetic, like
- 9:24Speaker 2: the three under three thousand yards. I don't care how
- 9:26Speaker 2: good your running game is. That's embarrassing, like that can't right,
- 9:29Speaker 2: And last year was not great. Issues with the passing
- 9:32Speaker 2: Game's what's crazy. Now, obviously, when you don't have as
- 9:35Speaker 2: many attempts, the completion of savage usually will go up.
- 9:38Speaker 2: And Hurts had a great completion percentage of thirty eight
- 9:41Speaker 2: seven seased to be sixty eight seven. We know the
- 9:43Speaker 2: table wasn't great. That confirmed it. And then twenty five
- 9:48Speaker 2: just thirty two to twenty four this season the odds makers,
- 9:52Speaker 2: as we said, thirty one to fifty. Now the passing
- 9:54Speaker 2: touchdown at twenty two point five. Last year he had
- 9:57Speaker 2: a career high of twenty five. But I was with
- 10:00Speaker 2: AJ Brown and they haven't really adequately replaced him. But
- 10:05Speaker 2: as I said earlier, if Hurtz throws on time, you
- 10:08Speaker 2: could actually have a great season. That's what it's going
- 10:10Speaker 2: to come down to. Twenty two and a half touchdowns,
- 10:13Speaker 2: the overs minus one oh five and the unders minus
- 10:16Speaker 2: one fifteen. I think he's somewhere twenty two twenty three.
- 10:19Speaker 2: That's where I see it. That's another note play for.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Me, all right, I agree with you. I just think
- 10:24Speaker 1: Jalen Hurst's passing stats are very, very difficult. And then
- 10:27Speaker 1: when we get to the rushing stats, eight this is weird.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So eight and a half touchdowns, rushing touchdown, rushing touchdowns,
- 10:34Speaker 1: He's minus one ten over, minus one ten under. I
- 10:39Speaker 1: don't even know what to make of that. It's like
- 10:40Speaker 1: Vegas doesn't really know where they think he's like right
- 10:43Speaker 1: in that area.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's if you really look at it. When you
- 10:47Speaker 2: look at his rushing numbers, he took a major dip
- 10:51Speaker 2: because the tush push was bad the recent the success
- 10:55Speaker 2: rate was way down. Also, Goddard getting all those red
- 10:58Speaker 2: zone touchdowns hurt him. Now I say that, and he
- 11:02Speaker 2: still had eight rushing touchdowns. The number, as you mentioned,
- 11:06Speaker 2: is eight and a half over or under at minus
- 11:08Speaker 2: one ten. I would like the over if I had
- 11:13Speaker 2: to take it. It's a small play that the Hurts
- 11:17Speaker 2: is so hard to figure out offensively because you have
- 11:20Speaker 2: a new scheme. Is you gonna get it? Can he
- 11:22Speaker 2: do it? Is he capable? Yes? Can he do it?
- 11:25Speaker 2: Will he do it? We'll see. The only one I
- 11:27Speaker 2: actually like slightly is the over eight and a half
- 11:29Speaker 2: rushing touchdowns and then to finish Hurts off the rushing
- 11:33Speaker 2: yardage at four hundred point five, the over and the
- 11:37Speaker 2: under is minus one ten. Well, he's never had less
- 11:43Speaker 2: than four hundred point five. Effect. Last year, in a
- 11:47Speaker 2: down year, he had his lowest rushing temp number, he
- 11:53Speaker 2: only had one hundred and five rushing attempts in sixteen games,
- 11:55Speaker 2: he still had four hundred and twenty one yards. YEP,
- 11:58Speaker 2: yards per carry average was not good at four point zero,
- 12:01Speaker 2: But again I would like the over at four hundred
- 12:04Speaker 2: point five at minus one ten, just because the offensive
- 12:08Speaker 2: line has to and it will block better for the run.
- 12:11Speaker 2: It has to. How could be any worse?
- 12:12Speaker 1: Come on, I would agree with you. I think in
- 12:15Speaker 1: his worst year he still had he had eight rushing touchdowns.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Every other year has been double digits, and every other
- 12:21Speaker 1: year has been at least six hundred rushing yards. So
- 12:25Speaker 1: I mean those are to me if you think he
- 12:27Speaker 1: just even if he doesn't run way more, just a
- 12:29Speaker 1: little bit more, then he surpasses these totals pretty easily.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I would say, yep, all right, let's move on to
- 12:37Speaker 1: say Kawon Barkley some really interesting So, like you mentioned,
- 12:40Speaker 1: two years ago, it was like a thousand, It was
- 12:41Speaker 1: so easy thousand mon plate it. Yeah, he bested last
- 12:46Speaker 1: year though, it got inflated to fifteen hundred point five
- 12:52Speaker 1: and the over was plus one hundred on that not even.
- 12:55Speaker 2: A lot of Now, what is it that high. Yes,
- 12:59Speaker 2: I wonder when we take did we take the show
- 13:01Speaker 2: in the middle of July last year before.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Track at the same time last year? Yep?
- 13:04Speaker 2: Wow, because I felt like he could get over that.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Oh well. So so first one up though, on Barkley's
- 13:10Speaker 2: offensive Player of the year at plus fifteen hundred. He's
- 13:13Speaker 2: the same monds as Jays Sam and Justin Jefferson. I
- 13:16Speaker 2: don't see it because he's just getting older twenty nine,
- 13:22Speaker 2: and where the offensive line is, it's not gonna be
- 13:24Speaker 2: the same. It's two years ago. Obviously, it's going to
- 13:27Speaker 2: be better than last year. I don't see it. The
- 13:29Speaker 2: rushing yards though, and eleven hundred point five the overs
- 13:32Speaker 2: plus one hundred, I love that one. The others modest
- 13:35Speaker 2: one t want to come on, folks, the hell could
- 13:36Speaker 2: he be that bad this season? Right?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Plus he had he had He had that last year
- 13:40Speaker 1: in one of his worst years. So I mean, unless
- 13:43Speaker 1: they're anticipating another either a time share more or age injury, whatever,
- 13:49Speaker 1: but I would definitely take the over on at plus
- 13:52Speaker 1: one hundred. On eleven hundred point five, yeah for sure.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I just I understand like that this he
- 14:02Speaker 2: had eleven he had eleven forty last year in sixteen games,
- 14:04Speaker 2: only four point one yards per carry. The average yards
- 14:08Speaker 2: per contact what it was three point nine the season before,
- 14:11Speaker 2: obviously way down, But when you really look at it,
- 14:17Speaker 2: they they were historically bad run blocking because uh, when
- 14:21Speaker 2: you look at Cam Jurgen's, his tape is terrible. Last
- 14:24Speaker 2: season run blocking healthier. Dickerson's healthier, and my lot is
- 14:33Speaker 2: back laying. I get it. He's another year older.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Yep.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I to me, it's a lot. That's of all the
- 14:41Speaker 2: ones we've talked about, including the team props. HM. I
- 14:46Speaker 2: love this Barkley one over eleven hundred point five. I
- 14:49Speaker 2: love it same here.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I also love the next one. There's rushing touchdowns seven
- 14:53Speaker 1: and a half over as one oh five. He had
- 14:54Speaker 1: seven touchdowns last year and a bad year.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I mean that's rushing touchdowns, right, only rushing touches in
- 14:59Speaker 2: the under minus one twenty five he now Now, the
- 15:03Speaker 2: only negative is because we don't know how much the
- 15:07Speaker 2: tush push will be and we know they're going to
- 15:09Speaker 2: use it. But it was so bad last year. The
- 15:13Speaker 2: fact that the tea it was so bad last year.
- 15:16Speaker 2: The teams went up and you could have pushed me
- 15:18Speaker 2: over with a feather. I didn't think that would happen
- 15:20Speaker 2: before the season started last year, but they were so
- 15:22Speaker 2: bad at the club Stock declined to even push it
- 15:25Speaker 2: for the owner's meetings in March. Bring it back, we
- 15:27Speaker 2: could stop it. Teams probably figured it out, and plus
- 15:31Speaker 2: now they're going to be healthier, so maybe they do
- 15:34Speaker 2: better with In fact, the half time you would think, Yep,
- 15:37Speaker 2: I do like the over. I really do over left.
- 15:39Speaker 2: So give me eleven and one yards that's the over.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I'll take that.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Yeah, you and I are in on Barkley, not because
- 15:45Speaker 1: it's it's some kind of amazing year, but because the
- 15:47Speaker 1: numbers are low based on what I.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Don't know about the rush touchdowns, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 15:51Speaker 2: pass on it. I like ones where the odds are
- 15:52Speaker 2: stacked for you, and I love the over.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Eleven hundred point five okay, Yeah, I mean seven touchdowns.
- 15:57Speaker 1: If he gets eight plus one oh five, I mean
- 16:01Speaker 1: you're getting money if he has eight touchdowns. I feel like,
- 16:06Speaker 1: you know, when I say getting money, you're getting more
- 16:08Speaker 1: than you're putting down for eight touchdowns.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I understand. I don't.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I honestly, you're right. I don't love it as much.
- 16:14Speaker 1: As rushing yards. But I still like it.
- 16:16Speaker 2: If eight or more, yeah, eight or more plus one
- 16:18Speaker 2: oh five yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, all right, Davante Smith. This is this
- 16:23Speaker 1: is fascinating because the first prop you're gonna give is
- 16:26Speaker 1: for Offensive Player of the Year. Last year, Jackson Smith
- 16:29Speaker 1: and Jigbo won that award, and I almost feel like,
- 16:32Speaker 1: what are the odds that it's going to go to
- 16:33Speaker 1: a wide receiver again? You know that's that's tough, but
- 16:37Speaker 1: it could.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Well, he's going to be targeted. Mark plus sixty six
- 16:41Speaker 2: hundred is DeVante Smith. So every one hunt, you bet
- 16:43Speaker 2: you get sixty six hundred back plus your back back.
- 16:45Speaker 2: So yeah, I I like it, man, I like it.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I like the I kind of like that I could
- 16:54Speaker 2: see twelve or thirteen hundred yards here for sure, even
- 16:57Speaker 2: potentially more than that. Yeah, I do like it.
- 17:01Speaker 1: It's happened before where wide receivers won it back to
- 17:04Speaker 1: back twenty twenty one, twenty two, Cooper Cup, then Justin Jefferson.
- 17:07Speaker 1: But you don't. I'm going through the list of offensive
- 17:10Speaker 1: Players of the Year, and I'm not finding too many
- 17:13Speaker 1: instances of wide receivers winning back to back. In fact,
- 17:17Speaker 1: that's the only one I can find in the last time.
- 17:19Speaker 2: All right, it'll be tough here, I'll hear all right,
- 17:21Speaker 2: so it'll be tough.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Yeah, just history. History says it'll be tough, but not
- 17:25Speaker 1: a bad number. And if you want to throw a
- 17:27Speaker 1: few bucks down and you know, try to maximize it. Well,
- 17:30Speaker 1: I like the receiving yards.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Yeah, the one I love that this is this actually
- 17:34Speaker 2: might be smart, stronger than Barclay's rushing yardage. Receiving yardage
- 17:39Speaker 2: for Devonte Smith one thousand point five the over. Okay,
- 17:42Speaker 2: it's seems to be like a lock if you play
- 17:45Speaker 2: even sixteen games minus one twenty the younders plus one hundred.
- 17:48Speaker 2: He doesn't. He's not copeaing for targets with aj Brown.
- 17:50Speaker 2: He will be in by far easily their top targeted player.
- 17:54Speaker 2: He had seventy seven receptions last season, played all games,
- 17:59Speaker 2: all seven team for one thousand and eight yards. Come on, man,
- 18:02Speaker 2: he's going over. He's going over in one thousand and
- 18:04Speaker 2: five easily.

- 19:24Speaker 1: You're not you're gonna have to lay down more than
- 19:25Speaker 1: the actually win. However, However, receiving touchdowns at him might
- 19:31Speaker 1: be the ding ding ding, because I.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Do like it, don't love it. It's it's it's five
- 19:38Speaker 2: point five now, he only had four last year. He
- 19:42Speaker 2: did of eight seven, seven and five to run off
- 19:45Speaker 2: his career. It's five and a half the overs plus
- 19:49Speaker 2: one hundred, so basically, six touchdowns are more. You're getting
- 19:53Speaker 2: plus one hundred, so you're getting double your money. Yeah, yeah, so.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I love that.
- 19:59Speaker 2: You bete hundred, you get a hundred plus your bat back.
- 20:04Speaker 2: I would lean towards it. I don't love it's he's
- 20:07Speaker 2: because you got the you got the push, push, you
- 20:11Speaker 2: got Goddard who came out of absolute nowhere to shock
- 20:14Speaker 2: the world with all these touchdowns. He never really did it.
- 20:17Speaker 2: He's never a big touchdown guy, right, Plus with a
- 20:19Speaker 2: new play caller who the hell knows.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Listen, he's gonna have a game even if the Eagles stink.
- 20:23Speaker 1: He's gonna actually if the Egle stink, somehow he'll wind
- 20:26Speaker 1: up having even more yards, right because he'll be behind
- 20:29Speaker 1: or whatever. But he's gonna have a three touchdown game.
- 20:31Speaker 1: He's gonna be half in a game. Huh, yeah, I
- 20:34Speaker 1: believe it.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Totally have to look for I will have to look
- 20:37Speaker 2: for that problem. But then finally with davantage lead the
- 20:39Speaker 2: NFL and TV receptions plus four thousand, Yeah, that ain't
- 20:44Speaker 2: gonna happen.
- 20:45Speaker 1: No, Yeah, that that's that one. I don't like. But
- 20:49Speaker 1: I couldn't if it was in receptions. Maybe there's a
- 20:52Speaker 1: discussion there not yeah exactly, but yeah, well he's always
- 20:56Speaker 1: good for one big game, and I think you can
- 20:58Speaker 1: now with no. A. J. Brown absolutely see.
- 21:01Speaker 2: It is so the way the oddsmakers do this, they
- 21:03Speaker 2: add some and so we'll do this. We'll do this
- 21:05Speaker 2: in late August, right before the season started. So that
- 21:08Speaker 2: that is DeVante s fifth now the rookie, mckaye Lemon,
- 21:10Speaker 2: the first round pick, offensive rookie the year plus eleven
- 21:13Speaker 2: hundred McKay levin, mckaye Lemon.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I don't love it.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's nice. Odds I don't see. I
- 21:21Speaker 2: don't I do see fifty perceptions or more to lead
- 21:25Speaker 2: rookies in yardage plus six fifty. I also don't he's
- 21:29Speaker 2: a possessed receiver. I don't see it.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't love it. Although I would you could argue,
- 21:34Speaker 1: you could make an argument that his biggest competitors will
- 21:37Speaker 1: be Carnel Tate, right, and they're not. I don't know
- 21:43Speaker 1: how much better that offense is gonna be. I mean,
- 21:45Speaker 1: he still has to compete with Ridley and the offense
- 21:48Speaker 1: has to work. Who else? Jordan Tyson in New Orleans
- 21:51Speaker 1: would be my best bet to lead all wide receivers
- 21:55Speaker 1: in yards. I'm trying to think if there's anyone is this.
- 21:57Speaker 1: By the way, passing yards are just yards, all.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Receiving yards, and that includes running backs and tight end.
- 22:03Speaker 2: So that's the other problem. If there's a brock Bowers
- 22:05Speaker 2: type of rookie tight end, Yeah, yeah it.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Plus you got to watch out for those Browns guys
- 22:11Speaker 1: who are going to be heavily targeted because they have
- 22:13Speaker 1: nobody like Yeah in Conception in Boston. Yeah, that's tough.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, to lead rookies and yardage plus six fifty receiving
- 22:22Speaker 2: yards six fifty point five, the over and the unders
- 22:24Speaker 2: minus one ten I see five fifty six hundred. That
- 22:28Speaker 2: means that to me is a pass. This one's comic. God,
- 22:30Speaker 2: idn't know why they had it on there. To lead
- 22:32Speaker 2: on TV receptions plus twenty five thousand.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead, put a dollar on zero, add an
- 22:39Speaker 1: extra zero and then yeah, I.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Know, I know, I know, I know that would be
- 22:42Speaker 2: crazy if someone got that, and then yeah, I don't
- 22:45Speaker 2: really like any of those those and then got it.
- 22:46Speaker 2: See this one's fascinating, Dallas Goddter. I'll be interesting to
- 22:52Speaker 2: see how this happens. Touchdown number total four and a
- 22:56Speaker 2: half overs minus one twenty five and the unders plus
- 22:58Speaker 2: one of five. So if you like the over means
- 23:01Speaker 2: five touchdowns and more, you're giving up juice. Yeah, I mean,
- 23:07Speaker 2: it's really insane. Eleven touchdowns, you know, I'll there weren't.
- 23:14Speaker 2: They're technically touchdowns, but some of the not real passes
- 23:17Speaker 2: in the pop past week, he crosses the grain, they
- 23:20Speaker 2: do a shovel pass right plus four shovel pass. Yeah, eleven,
- 23:26Speaker 2: think about this, folks. Over over his career four five, three, four, three,
- 23:30Speaker 2: three two and eleven.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Well, that's what makes the plus one oh five on
- 23:37Speaker 1: the under four and a half touchdowns pretty interesting to me.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'll probably I would ignore it, probably, but
- 23:43Speaker 1: I mean he's been under five touchdowns one two, three,
- 23:46Speaker 1: four five six out of eight years. Last year was
- 23:49Speaker 1: an anomaly. I know, looking under four and a half
- 23:53Speaker 1: and say, Okay, you're gonna give me more than I'm
- 23:55Speaker 1: putting down for that.
- 23:56Speaker 2: I might, I might be h that's a that's a
- 23:59Speaker 2: no play to me. To lead the NFL TV receptions
- 24:01Speaker 2: at plus fifteen thousand gonna happen zero, Yeah, exactly. Now
- 24:07Speaker 2: finally to push this off. Yeah, Carter Jalen Carter Defensive
- 24:11Speaker 2: Player of the Year plus twenty five hundred. I just
- 24:16Speaker 2: with with the with the shoulder, it's all gonna be
- 24:19Speaker 2: a Miles Garrett obviously because of the trade. We'll see
- 24:21Speaker 2: what happens. Then Cooper, Degene and Quinnon Mitchell plus sixty
- 24:25Speaker 2: six hundred. See, Quinnon doesn't get regular season interceptions, he
- 24:30Speaker 2: doesn't playoffs. We talked about on Tuesday show. I guess
- 24:34Speaker 2: about Quinnon's hands not being great. It's the only part
- 24:37Speaker 2: about him that's not great. But then he did great
- 24:39Speaker 2: in the playoffs with with interceptions and Coop playing a
- 24:43Speaker 2: new position no more corner safety and Nickel. He's a
- 24:48Speaker 2: high he's a high profile. I could absolutely see that.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I'd put some money on him. Absolutely. Dejeene of the
- 24:56Speaker 2: two of them, you get, I mean ten buck ten bucks.
- 25:02Speaker 1: The reason I do with Mitchell is because this award's
- 25:05Speaker 1: gonna either go to a pass rusher, right or a cornerback,
- 25:09Speaker 1: because that's ninety nine percent of the time what it is.
- 25:12Speaker 1: And I don't see Carter as an interior pass rusher
- 25:16Speaker 1: who's not Aaron Donald. He's great, but he never gets
- 25:18Speaker 1: like and he at least he hasn't yet. He's not
- 25:20Speaker 1: gonna give you eleven and a half to thirteen and
- 25:21Speaker 1: a half sacks like Donald.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Is because he's a double team.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Then he's not that kind of like. He's more of
- 25:27Speaker 1: a violent player than like the way Aaron Donald was
- 25:30Speaker 1: so fast to the quarterback, right, but certain won it
- 25:33Speaker 1: two years ago. I don't even think he had that
- 25:35Speaker 1: many interceptions that year. He just nobody threw on him.
- 25:38Speaker 1: He was that good. Uh oh no, he did. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 1: he had four interceptions. It's just that he had one
- 25:42Speaker 1: hundred and thirty two return yards and then he was
- 25:45Speaker 1: all part of a dominant defense. So if you're asking
- 25:47Speaker 1: me between the three, I would, especially for the money
- 25:50Speaker 1: you'd get, I would go Mitchell at plus sixty six hundred.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I would not go to Gene because I can't see
- 25:56Speaker 1: some hybrid safety nickelback winning it over a pass rusher
- 25:59Speaker 1: or a your corner who plays the outside all the time.
- 26:02Speaker 1: So I like the Mitchell one best.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Coop's the better athlete of the two of them.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I position doesn't lend itself to unless he gets like
- 26:12Speaker 1: eight picks, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Then all of a sudden, yeah, that that's not gonna
- 26:15Speaker 2: happen big plays or breakups or you know, he's a
- 26:17Speaker 2: good tackler. We'll have to see what happens. But so
- 26:20Speaker 2: that does it for the player props. Again, when we
- 26:22Speaker 2: do this in late August, where we're gonna we'll find
- 26:25Speaker 2: new ones because I want to get the right I
- 26:27Speaker 2: want to get the SAX stats. I want to get
- 26:29Speaker 2: all that stuff. I like to get SAX stats, you know.
- 26:34Speaker 2: And by the way, we'll see all healthy is we'll
- 26:36Speaker 2: have a better idea of how he looks a training kit.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Great stuff. Really liked it. We did this last year.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I had fun and it was even more fun this year.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Allow allows us to see how other how the odds
- 26:45Speaker 1: makers view the Eagles, both individually as a team, and
- 26:48Speaker 1: then compare their analysis with ours. So that's always that's
- 26:52Speaker 1: gonna do it for this episode of Inside the Birds,
- 26:54Speaker 1: the Leading Podcast and the Eagles Intel, and as always,
- 26:57Speaker 1: we thank you for flying with us inside the Birds. Wait, wait, wait,
- 27:03Speaker 1: a little tease, I forgot. I don't want to end
- 27:05Speaker 1: this podcast without saying Friday Andrew Dcheco's latest training camp
- 27:10Speaker 1: Legend series continues with a really cool interview with former
- 27:15Speaker 1: Eagles kick returner, slash wide receiver slash Olympic skiing champion
- 27:21Speaker 1: Jeremy Bloom. If you want to know why it never
- 27:24Speaker 1: worked out for Jeremy Bloom, you will find out in
- 27:27Speaker 1: this interview, because it's not just like he wasn't good enough.
- 27:29Speaker 1: There's a specific some reasons that went into it that
- 27:33Speaker 1: Jeremy and Andrew discussed that were fascinating and enlightening, So
- 27:37Speaker 1: make sure you catch that now. That'll finally do it
- 27:39Speaker 1: for this edition of Inside the Birds, the Leading Podcast
- 27:42Speaker 1: and Eagles Intel, And as always, we thank you for
- 27:44Speaker 1: flying with us Inside the Birds
