- 0:00Genesis chapter 6 Let us pray. Jesus Christ high and lifted up.
- 0:14Higher than any thought, higher than any entity, higher than any
- 0:19ruler and authority. Jesus Christ the Anointed 1 the
- 0:26Messiah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of
- 0:31Israel, the king of the Jews. We thank you for salvation.
- 0:37We thank you for rescuing us. We thank you for leading us.
- 0:41God, I pray that you'll blow upon us.
- 0:44God, rekindle the fire. Lord, I pray that we will not be
- 0:49complacent and lazy. God, I pray that you will stir
- 0:53up within us. God, quicken within the inner
- 0:55man a zeal for your house. God, I pray that you will find
- 1:02us out in the harvest. You will find us doing the work
- 1:06of an evangelist. You will find us with our hand
- 1:09to the plough. God, I pray that you'll be well
- 1:13pleased with the reading of your text today.
- 1:16Holy Spirit, give us discernment.
- 1:18Help us to rightly divide the word today.
- 1:21I decrease as you increase. It's all about King Jesus.
- 1:25It's always been about King Jesus.
- 1:28It'll always be about King Jesus.
- 1:30So we get out of the way, Father.
- 1:32We give you center stage, Father.
- 1:35Come in and father us and teach us.
- 1:38Love on us. Help us to know our identity in
- 1:41Christ. Help us to understand our worth,
- 1:46Father, because you have loved us even when we did not love
- 1:50ourselves. And so, God, I just pray right
- 1:52now for families around the world.
- 1:55God, I pray for brothers and sisters around the world.
- 1:59God, I pray for those that are incarcerated around the world.
- 2:03God, I pray that you'll lift off the chains.
- 2:06God, break the chains of oppression, break the chains of
- 2:10childhood trauma. God, break the chains of anger
- 2:15and malice and deceit and depression and anxiety.
- 2:19God, in the mighty name of Jesus, heal our bodies, heal our
- 2:23bones. Father, heal our minds.
- 2:25God, I pray that you, you will. Father, have all the glory that
- 2:30you will. Come and get your glory that you
- 2:33will. Father, be high and lifted up in
- 2:36our minds and in our hearts. God, you're the highest and most
- 2:40lofty idea in literature. And so, God, we come under the
- 2:45banner of Yeshua. We are sold out.
- 2:50Lay down. Lovers of the way, we thank you,
- 2:54Father, continue to speak to us. Help us to listen.
- 2:58Here we are, Father, send us. Here we are.
- 3:01Father speak to us in Jesus Christ holy and precious name I
- 3:06pray Amen. Well let's start in verse one.
- 3:14And it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of
- 3:18the earth and daughters were born unto them.
- 3:22So here we're getting to see a pre flood world and what it
- 3:25looked like we have already seen in the 1st 5 chapters of Genesis
- 3:31from the inception of man being created out of the dust and God
- 3:36breathing into his nostrils. We're getting to see the woman
- 3:41made from the rib, We're getting to see all the children in the
- 3:45lineage and we saw the murder of Abel by his brother Cain.
- 3:50We got to see Seth replace him. And then we get to see this line
- 3:55start to separate. We see the line of Cain and we
- 4:00see the line of Seth. And we saw how their names
- 4:04actually meant something. We saw the rebellion from the
- 4:07line of Cain of building cities and all of the introduction of
- 4:14industry, all the introduction of the farming and husbandry.
- 4:19We got to see where the music and the metal arts came on the
- 4:25scene. We got to see a revival break
- 4:28out, and now we get to see what is the culmination of the
- 4:37mankind prior to the flood. And Jesus told us that there's
- 4:42coming a day that'll be worse than the days of Noah.
- 4:46So let's see what the snapshot is for us, the intelligence
- 4:51indicator that we need to be looking for friends.
- 4:56Verse 2 that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men, that
- 5:02they were fair and they took them wives of all which they
- 5:07chose. This is demonic possession, and
- 5:12it's actually invited. That is the culmination of
- 5:17mankind prior to the flood, and it's going to tell us that every
- 5:22thought continuously was evil. And they were opening themselves
- 5:26up to the occult. They were opening themselves up
- 5:29to the New Age. They were opening themselves up
- 5:32to all of the demonic realm, and these demons would come and they
- 5:38would actually possess and inhabit them.
- 5:44And then the offspring would be these giants in the land that
- 5:49we're going to learn about. And we get to see in first
- 5:54Peter, we got to see in second Peter, and we got to see in the
- 5:59book of Jude. Multiple times God has told us
- 6:02what is the outcome of all of these demonic fallen angels that
- 6:09come and inhabit and possess the men and have these wicked
- 6:15children and this virus that has entered into mankind.
- 6:19And it was Satan's strategy to try to get the prophecy of the
- 6:25Son that was going to be born from the woman that was going to
- 6:28crush his head. He was trying to thwart God's
- 6:32plan with infecting the human race friends, But God saw all
- 6:37through it and He's going to do something about it.
- 6:43Three. And the Lord said, my Spirit
- 6:46shall not always strive with man for that.
- 6:51He also is flesh, yet his days shall be 120 years.
- 6:57So this was the Lord warning them and letting them know that
- 7:01He was not always going to put up with them.
- 7:05And it's the same in our day. It's the same in our hour.
- 7:09This is willing disobedience, for they know God, but they do
- 7:14not honor him. All of creation proclaims God's
- 7:19name, so that man is without excuse.
- 7:21And these people are willingly opening themselves up to all of
- 7:28the demonic realm friends. And they think that somehow,
- 7:32someway, they're going to become gods.
- 7:36They think that somehow, someway, that they are going to
- 7:40get a supernatural understanding of God and actually usurp His
- 7:48authority and it never ever results in anything but their
- 7:54demise and destruction. And that is what is referenced
- 7:57here in the 6th chapter of Genesis, verses 1-2 and three.
- 8:03And it's no different in our day and our hour whenever we think
- 8:07that we're going to become gods one day and rule over a planet.
- 8:11It's the same lie that was spoken in the Garden whenever
- 8:15Satan told Eve that she would become like God.
- 8:21And that is the disgusting depravity of humanity, is that
- 8:27if we will not come under the yoke of the Lord Jesus Christ,
- 8:32then we will, like Lucifer, try to be our own gods and we'll try
- 8:37to call our own shots. And we're hostile towards a
- 8:40loving God. And that is the culmination of
- 8:43mankind right before the flood. And he tells us that our days
- 8:49will only be 120 years. And this 900 year lifespan is
- 8:54gone by the wayside. And there is a second thought
- 9:00behind the 120 years, which is how many years it would be until
- 9:05the flood. But by and large, we know that
- 9:08mankind will not live beyond 120 years.
- 9:12That's all that we get. The 900 year life span is done
- 9:16away with post flood, for there were giants in the earth in
- 9:22those days and also after that when the sons of God came in
- 9:27unto the daughters of men and they bore children to them, the
- 9:31same became mighty men which are were of old men of renown.
- 9:36This is a supernatural demonic strength that comes in after
- 9:42they are indwelled with the demons and then they have these
- 9:46children and somehow in some way they are mighty giants in the
- 9:52land. And this speaks of stature and
- 9:55this speaks of strength. And you know that the angels,
- 9:59the fallen angels, are more powerful than mankind.
- 10:04And you will lose 10 times out of 10 if you go up against them
- 10:08in your own strength. And the only thing you're going
- 10:11to find when you give yourself over to the demonic possession
- 10:16is that they are here to steal, kill and destroy.
- 10:19And that is it. And that is the end of story.
- 10:23And there is no reason for us to be hyper fixated upon any extra
- 10:28biblical accounts. The Bible tells you what it
- 10:31wants you to know and that is enough.
- 10:35We do not need to go and try to learn all about all of the
- 10:40disgusting extra biblical occult literature.
- 10:44Friends. It is not profitable.
- 10:48We only know what the Bible tells us.
- 10:50And if you go to first Peter and then you read second Peter, and
- 10:56then you read the book of Jude, you will find that the outcome
- 11:01for all of these Nephilim was to be bound in the spirit prisons.
- 11:08And then we saw when Jesus Christ walked the earth, we saw
- 11:12that these demons were begging Him not to send them to a
- 11:17premature judgment, to not send them to the premature prison, to
- 11:23be held under lock and chain and glooms and utter darkness.
- 11:28That is the result of the Nephilim that walked the earth,
- 11:32friends. And we know that it says in
- 11:34these days and in later days. So you can also see that it was
- 11:40not all of the fallen angels that were cast into the spirit
- 11:45prison. And we know that Jesus went
- 11:47there after his death on the cross.
- 11:50On silent Saturday he goes down and preaches to these spirits
- 11:54from the days of Noah, and he tells them of his triumph on the
- 11:59cross. And he puts them to shame
- 12:02friends, because I am sure that they were mocking and jeering at
- 12:08Jesus, the Son of God, hanging on the cross and breathing his
- 12:13last. He snatches the keys, and leads
- 12:18a procession, and ascends to the right hand of God, and he holds
- 12:22those keys, friends, to day of death and hell.
- 12:30Five. And God saw that the wickedness
- 12:34of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of
- 12:38the thoughts of his heart was only evil continuously.
- 12:43That is a reprobate mind. That is a powerful delusion.
- 12:47Friends, this is what happens whenever we believe in
- 12:51evolution. We believe that we are animals.
- 12:55We believe that there is no God. We believe that we can be our
- 12:59own gods. We believe in all of this
- 13:01garbage religion that's out there that makes no sense, but
- 13:07people give themselves over to it in complete ignorance.
- 13:13There is only one true living God, the God of Israel, friends.
- 13:18And he chose to reveal himself to Abraham, and then he created
- 13:24a nation for himself. And then he gave us the holy
- 13:29oracles. And then we are the wild grafted
- 13:32in. And when the blinders finally
- 13:35get taken off, And when your ears finally get unstopped, you
- 13:40look in complete and total reverence and fear and trembling
- 13:45over a holy God who chose to reveal himself to you.
- 13:49And your name is written in the Lambs Book of life.
- 13:52Friends, what an amazing thought. 6 And it, it repented
- 13:59the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at
- 14:03his heart. It did not take him by surprise,
- 14:06friends. He knew the beginning from the
- 14:09end, the end from the beginning. He's the alpha and the Omega and
- 14:12he's omniscient friends, but he, it grieves God when we do this
- 14:17to ourselves. And what an immense amount of
- 14:23liberty, what an immense amount of freedom, what an immense
- 14:27amount of autonomy that God gave us that we can choose to go our
- 14:31own way. And you see the result of it.
- 14:34It is death and disease. It is carnage and wreckage.
- 14:38It is backbiting and murder friends.
- 14:40And it is completely heartbreaking to a loving God
- 14:45who wants nothing more than for his sons and daughters to come
- 14:50home and to come to their senses.
- 14:54It grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will
- 14:59destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both
- 15:04man and beasts, and the creeping thing, the fowls of the air, For
- 15:07it repented me that I have made them.
- 15:11This is the point of no return. God must act.
- 15:15It is nothing but a cesspool in the land.
- 15:20It is nothing but demonic possession and oppression.
- 15:24It is nothing but demonic influence.
- 15:28And they have given themselves completely and totally over to
- 15:33utter destruction. And God sees that the most
- 15:39loving thing that he can do is to take them out prematurely. 8
- 15:51But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
- 15:55This is unmerited grace. Noah didn't earn it.
- 16:00He didn't deserve it. But God chose him because he
- 16:03walked with God. And that is Our Calling,
- 16:08friends, I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray
- 16:14that you will be found walking with the Lord lockstep in
- 16:17unison, in the same cadence with Jesus Christ our Master. 9 These
- 16:27are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect
- 16:32in his generations and Noah walked with God.
- 16:35That is why he was just and that is why he was perfect friends.
- 16:40And it wasn't that he was sinless, but like Job, he was
- 16:44blameless and he had a heart for God and he walked like Enoch
- 16:48did. And Enoch is a picture of the
- 16:51rapture of the church, whereas Noah is a picture of all the
- 16:55Saints that get in the ark, that get in the boat, that are in
- 16:59Christ and they are safe. Tan and Noah had three sons,
- 17:05Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11 The earth also was corrupt before
- 17:12God, and the earth was filled with violence.
- 17:15The earth that is the complete, the totality, only one man was
- 17:21found to be walking with God. What a sad state of humanity.
- 17:26And we see the Shem and Ham and Japheth and the entire world was
- 17:31repopulated by these four men and their four wives.
- 17:37What an amazing thought. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and
- 17:43behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted his way on
- 17:51the earth. What a statement, all flesh.
- 17:54Friends, there is no doubt why God did what he did.
- 18:02There is no wonder why God did what He did.
- 18:05He did what he did because he loves us so much, and he did not
- 18:10want to see us just tearing ourselves apart limb from limb.
- 18:1613 And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me,
- 18:22for the earth is filled with violence through them, and
- 18:25behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
- 18:29So we know from the previous chapter and chapter 5 that God
- 18:33spelled it out in a sentence by the 10 names leading up to the
- 18:37flood, and he let Methuselah live long enough before he
- 18:43flooded the earth. And Methuselah's name actually
- 18:46meant that the destruction was coming for anybody who was tuned
- 18:50in, but they missed it. And God's going to use the very
- 18:57earth to destroy all of the inhabitants. 14 Make you an ark
- 19:04of Gopher wood room shall you make in the ark and shall pitch
- 19:09it within and without with pitch.
- 19:12So this pitch is the atonement. This is the tar that would go.
- 19:17This is a petroleum based product that would go in between
- 19:20the Gopher wood that would keep the water out.
- 19:23And this is what it looks like to be covered in the blood of
- 19:26Jesus Christ. And when the destruction comes
- 19:29up on the earth, you will be saved when you are in Christ. 15
- 19:36And this is the fashion which you shall make of it.
- 19:39The length of the ark shall be 300 cubits, in the breadth of it
- 19:4350 cubits, in the height of it 30 cubits.
- 19:47This is still the mathematical equations that ships are built
- 19:52with today from this very picture here.
- 19:57And this is the wisdom of God giving us the blueprint for
- 20:01modern ships that we use today for the buoyancy. 16 A window
- 20:08shall you make to the ark, and in a cubit shall you finish it
- 20:12above, and the door of the ark shall you set in the side of it,
- 20:18with lower second and third stories shall you make it.
- 20:22So this window at the top was to let all of the stink out.
- 20:27From all of the animal dung that would have been like a an
- 20:31ammonia room full that would have been noxious and the
- 20:36nostrils had these windows at the top not been installed.
- 20:40But look at the wisdom of God, friends, and this if you do the
- 20:47mathematical equations, this was plenty enough room to take upon
- 20:53all of the animals and all of the life that had breath in
- 20:57their nostrils onto this massive box in the middle of dry land.
- 21:07What an amazing God we serve. No rudder and no sail, no motor,
- 21:13just a massive box that the Lord God Himself indwelled, just like
- 21:21the ark of the covenant friends. 17 And behold, I even I do bring
- 21:29a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is
- 21:34the breath of life from under heaven.
- 21:37And everything that is in the earth shall die, that is except
- 21:42the fish. This is for all the land
- 21:46animals, this is for the birds, this is for the insects.
- 21:51But the fish in the water remained.
- 21:55Think about it. 18 But with you I will establish my covenant,
- 22:03and you shall come into the ark, you and your sons and your wife
- 22:08and your son's wives with you. So here he's making a covenant
- 22:12with them. What an amazing God we serve,
- 22:16and His promises are faithful and true.
- 22:19His promises are as sure as taking it to the bank.
- 22:24Friends, when he makes a covenant with you, he will never
- 22:27go back on it. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, 2 of
- 22:35every sort shall you bring into the ark to keep them alive with
- 22:41you. They shall be male and female.
- 22:44There is not a third option and there is no profitability with
- 22:50two males or two females friends.
- 22:53God knows that in order for procreation and in order to fill
- 22:58the earth, friends, we need the male and the female. 20 of fowls
- 23:06after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, and of every
- 23:12creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every
- 23:16sort shall come to you to keep them alive.
- 23:20So these animals in their migratory impulses knew to go
- 23:27towards the ark. What an amazing thought it is.
- 23:30Friends, God is sovereign over all of creation. 21 And take you
- 23:40unto you of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it
- 23:44to you, and it shall be for food for you and for them.
- 23:48So in God's amazing wisdom, he tells Noah to make sure there's
- 23:53enough food for all the animals and for himself.
- 23:57We'll end on 22 And thus did Noah, according to all that God
- 24:01commanded him. So he did.
- 24:06There was no murmuring, there was no grumbling, there was no
- 24:10back and forth with God. There was no trying to counsel
- 24:14God or ask God questions. He was told what to do.
- 24:19And it that's exactly what he did.
- 24:21And This is why you can see that Noah was found to be worthy to
- 24:26be saved. He was walking with God lockstep
- 24:29in tune, listening to his voice. And I pray that that is your
- 24:33story as well. I hope that you've been blessed
- 24:36by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 24:39I know I sure have. I'm praying for you.
- 24:50I love you. See you back here tomorrow.
- 24:55God bless you.
