- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Hello, hello everyone.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: We are gonna be diving into what it means to regulate your nervous system and release emotions that are in your nervous system.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Haven't done one of these in a hot minute.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be fun.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: I know there's a bunch of new people here, so I'm excited to talk to you, meet you, and we're gonna be covering some really great stuff.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So if you have any questions as we kind of go through this, pop them in and I will kind of get to them as we go.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: So let's go ahead and jump in.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: I think the most important thing to understand when it comes to releasing emotions in your nervous system is to first understand what exactly happens and how these emotions kind of get stored in our nervous system and stored in our body.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: So trauma or emotions are really any intense experience in which three emotions are experienced at the same time.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Now, the reason that this is key is because a lot of people don't realize that something is trauma or traumatic to them because it may not be big T trauma.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: All it is is three emotions experienced at the exact same time, which means that you could experience anger, frustration, sadness, boom, trauma.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: You could have sadness, loneliness, and resentment, boom, trauma, right?
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: And so what happens is the brain literally cannot process all three at once.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: It is on like overload of emotion.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: So what happens is that it splits.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: And when the bundle, if you will, splits, it gets stored in your body as excess energy.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: And that's when we get symptoms.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: So depending on what the emotion is, will depend on where in the body it is stored.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: For example, unprocessed anger stored in your liver.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: What happens when that energy is then stored in your liver?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: You cannot only get like physical symptoms like unable to metabolize hormones properly, metabolism issues, PCOS, PMS, kind of things like that from like the buildup of toxins in your liver, but you also get like the emotional repercussions, right?
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: So that's all I kind of want you to think about.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Your brain cannot process more than three emotions at once, so it gets stored in your energy and in your body, depending on what that emotion is, will kind of dictate where it gets stored.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: If you've got questions about, you know, specific areas where it gets stored, you can definitely ask, and I'll get to that.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: I also have a full podcast where I kind of break down where everything gets stored to really understand it, but that's kind of like the basics for you to know.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: So, why does your nervous system even get dysregulated in the first place?
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Number one, there is unresolved trauma and emotions in your body.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: So, one of those like sticky, unprocessed emotions, right?
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: It's just hanging out and it actually like wants to complete its process.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: It actually wants to be released, it just simply doesn't know how.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, is we're not taught in school, you know, this is how you like let out your emotions.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: This is how you properly process them, which is honestly a whole different issue in and of itself.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: But that's number one reason why we're dysregulated.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Number two is that we are living in an environment which fosters chronic dysregulation, which means our health, our home life, our work life perhaps, our friendships, relationships, anything that adds further stress will further kind of dysregulate you, right?
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: So you have the unprocessed emotions, maybe from mom and dad's divorce when you were seven, but you also have a pandemic and finances, and if you run your own business, and if you're in a relationship, maybe you've got kids or you got a pet or you've got someone you take care of, right?
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: All these little things that keep dysregulating you.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: And then the third reason is that you're not actually built with the tools, because again, we're not taught this in school, it is none of our faults, but we're actually not taught how to handle stress, how our nervous system can actually respond to stress in a way that's regulated instead of letting it be in a roller coaster of dysregulation.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: All right, I just wanted to quickly come in here and hop in and tell you guys that we are doing something super fun for the podcast in June.

- 6:10SPEAKER_00: I am so excited just to get more word out.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: The more we can get the word out of this podcast, the more people I can help, the more impact we can have, and the more nervous systems that we can not only get from survival into thrival mode, but even beyond thrival mode and just into that yummy, delicious life that we all want to live.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: So, that being said, thank you guys so much, and I will get back to the episode.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: So, this really paints the picture as like why we are dysregulated and why these emotions really store in your nervous system in the first place.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And the number one thing is that it's not your fault, like you were literally not taught how.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And so, if we were to think about these unprocessed emotions, right?
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Every time more than three, it splits.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Each of these splits starts to form like a sticky ball.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: So if you think about it like unprocessed anger, a sticky ball here, unprocessed sadness, sticky ball here, unprocessed guilt, sticky ball, and all these sticky balls start to pile up on top of one another, different parts of your body, then that becomes the dominant frequency, the dominant energy.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: So when enough of that emotion has built up over a period of time, you get symptoms.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: You also get dysregulation, right?
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Because your body simply has too much of the unprocessed emotions in your body for it to be calm and ease, which means that yes, you can go on vacation or something like that, but if you haven't processed the emotion, the emotion is still sitting in there.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: And that's why so many of us have trouble actually relaxing, have trouble actually getting restful sleep, have trouble actually being in a calm state, even when we quote unquote should be.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: So if you feel like you struggle with this, this is a sign that there's unprocessed, sticky emotions operating in your energy body.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Like I said, different emorg different organs, different organs are tied to different symptoms.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: So we can definitely explore kind of those, but the major ones are like anger for your liver, guilt and shame with your digestive system and your female organs, especially shame, lack of personal power, and like people pleasing and boundaries, that's gonna be a lot in your digestive system.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: So think about bloating, think about GI issues, think about constipation, all those kind of things.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, hi Lisa.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Um, that's where kind of like all that is going to be stored.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: So the number one step to actually releasing these emotions is honestly just owning up to the fact that you have unprocessed emotions.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: We are all human.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: All of us watching, you know, have human experiences.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: So the more you can just at least first be honest with yourself of like, hmm, I probably have some unprocessed emotions.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: I am, you know, probably didn't perfectly process everything that's happened in my life from birth until now.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: And that in and of itself can be a very freeing and liberating thing for you just to be like, all right, I have some stuff, we can work through it, but just acknowledging that I probably have unprocessed emotions in my body.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: And so these limiting beliefs or these limited emotions that we store in our body end up influencing not only our body's symptoms, but the way we go about the world, right?
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Because when we experience a traumatic event, a repressed emotion, your body wants to do everything it can to ensure it's not gonna get into that state again.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: It wants to ensure that it's going to be able to keep you safe.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: So you adopt truths or absolutes that will do so, which tells you, you know, every time you try to set boundaries, no, no, no, it's not safe to get set boundaries, we might be abandoned, rejected, not loved.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Oh no, no, you should people please, because then they will love you, then they will accept you.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Oh no, no, no, like you can't speak your truth.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Because you have oppressed emotions from when you spoke your truth when you were younger and you were either punished, reprimanded, etc.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: So then you start to go about the world with these like filters that are not like ideal filters, right?
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: And then we kind of learn this fragmented way of being that just further dysregulates you, right?
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Because then it's not safe to set boundaries, so you don't set boundaries, which dysregulates your system even more.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: So then you want to set boundaries, but you can't bring yourself to set boundaries because of the repressed emotions telling you that it's not safe to set boundaries, and you get stuck in this vicious cycle.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: And this is why so many, especially women, are stuck in this vicious cycle, like throwing spaghetti on the wall, hoping that's gonna stick, and wondering why they can't break out of it, or wondering why they've tried everything.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: And it's because your body will not let you overcome that primal response that is trying to keep you safe.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: So until you teach your body that it is safe to do these things, like speak your truth, set boundaries, not people please, you know, safe to feel good in your body, safe to do all these things, it won't let you, all right?
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: You cannot override a primal response that thinks you're running from a cheetah.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Remember, your body, like everything else, is a mirror for our internal thoughts and beliefs, right?
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: So our physical body, and thus if you have symptoms, reflects our mental and emotional patterns.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: If you take the time to listen to your body, if you take the time to listen to the messages that it's giving you, especially through its symptoms, you can literally trace the exact route.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: The symptom will always go back to the exact repressed emotion that it is, right?
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Whether it's bloating, whether it's PCOS, whether it's fertility issues, whether it's an inability to speak your truth, whether it's lack of sleep, like whatever it is, follow that string and it will lead you there.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: So, what does it mean exactly?
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Exactly to do the emotional work.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: It means sitting with the parts of you that have been repressed and therefore unable to fully complete their experience.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say that one more time.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: It's about sitting with the parts of you that have been repressed and are therefore unable to fully complete their experience.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: They need to fully complete their experience if that energy needs to leave, right?
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: Because remember, your body was trying to process it and it split.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: In order for the energy to leave, you need to finish processing it.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: If you don't process, it'll never leave.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: And unfortunately, you cannot like journal it out.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: It requires something deeper than that.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: So when you somatically complete the cycle of emotions that are stored in your nervous system, it allows your nervous system to physiologically shift.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: Prior to that, it was secreting hormones, neurotransmitters, and everything else to keep you in a fight or flight so that you could process it.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: The thing is, your body actually thinks it's doing yourself a favor by keeping you in survival mode.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Because it thinks if I keep her in survival mode, she'll process this emotion.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: You just need the guidance to help you process it, yeah?
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: So when you actually rewire your nervous system and recode it, you disconnect the emotion from the memory so that the emotion can leave the body and you no longer operate with that.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's not safe.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: So let's take an example.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: Let's say setting boundaries.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: You know, a lot of people struggle to set boundaries.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: We'll use that one.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: When you were little, there was something that happened that made it not safe for you to set boundaries.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Perhaps you got reprimanded.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Mom yelled at you.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: So there was fear.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, fear, overwhelm, and maybe like sadness.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, three emotions, it splits.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: So, what happens when you heal your nervous system is you unlink the fear from what happened, from mom yelling at you.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: When you dissolve that link between fear and mom yelling at you, that emotion leaves, and you no longer feel like it's unsafe to set boundaries.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: That is why it's very powerful to do this work.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: And unfortunately, like I said, we're just not taught this growing up.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: It is not your fault, but it's very important to disconnect the emotion from the memory in your brain.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: You will not be able to overpower a primal survival mode response in your system.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: That is just not the way we are built.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: So, this is what contributes to disease in the body or dis-ease.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: We have the greatest capacity to heal.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: All right, one of our greatest capacities ever is our capacity to heal and actually let go of emotions.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: It's all within you.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: We often think sometimes that it's like something external to us, right?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: It's inside, it's always internal.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: Always look within first.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: And even like whether you know you work with me or someone else that's like guiding you with this, I'm just guiding you.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Like your body knows the way, it's already giving you signals.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: It's just time to look at those signals that it's giving you.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Look at the feedback that it's giving you because it is gonna be giving you feedback.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: So I really want to tie this into kind of how we see ourselves, right?
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: And how we put conditions and emotional charges onto things.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So when we put a condition, such as like it's not safe to set boundaries or people pleasing, or we can't speak our truth, or we think we look our certain way or we're not enough, but at the same time we're too much, we put in this condition on ourselves and we really minimize ourselves.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: And this response causes us to feel a lack of some sort, some sort of lack about ourselves, lack about our worthiness.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: And so when we do this, we build these structures in our brain that then dictate those filters of how we go in the world.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: And this is not authentic, right?
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Because we are whole and complete.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: End of story.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: We were born whole and complete, we are whole and complete.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: We just have these beliefs and structures that make us believe otherwise.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: When those beliefs and structures operate for too long, you get physical symptoms.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: So we are pure love, end of story.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Shame or fear or guilt or whatever emotional charge causes a separation from love.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: It causes you to feel less than whole, it causes you to feel less than complete, it causes you to believe that there's something wrong with you.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: There is nothing wrong with you, you do not need fixing.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: It deviates you from that belief and it makes you think that you are anything less than complete and perfect already.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: And so that emptiness that we feel, those emotions, those disowned parts that we perceive as less than, right?
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Contributes to that disconnect from our body.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: And when we get disconnected from our body, we separate from it, it's hard to be in harmony with it.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: However, when you separate from it, then we feel at war with our bodies.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Especially when we have symptoms, we feel like our body's not working for us.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: We feel like it should be operating a certain way, and why is it doing this?
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: And it becomes you versus your body instead of you working with your body as a feedback signal.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Instead of being like, wow, body, what are you telling me today?
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: It's why do you have to be bloated?
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Why can't you just do this?
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Why can't you have, you know, it's that war.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: So at this level, it's very important to realize that your body is giving you a feedback signal always, and we need to listen to it if we really want to regulate our nervous system instead of trying to fight against our nervous system.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: When we perceive things that are missing in us or that something is missing from us, it gives you that feeling.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: I just wanted to hop on and let you guys know about Well Nourished, which is truly the only program of its kind that brings together the physical with the mental and emotional healing that is required to thrive.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Your nervous system runs the show, and we know this.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: From your gut health to your hormones, how you absorb food, metabolism, weight, skin, anxiety, the list goes on.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: And this is why we can have symptoms even after we've tried everything.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: The clean eating supplements, moving your body, they're all good for you, but they do not work if your nervous system is in survival mode.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: When you rewire your nervous system and break out of survival mode, your body is actually able to heal.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: So inside well nourished, we do the healing on a physical level and we release the emotions stored in your body.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: We do the deep somatic release so your body can stop getting triggered and you can release those emotions.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: It's eight weeks immersed with me to heal on a deep level.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Every woman needs to recode her nervous system so that it's not holding her back.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: It's full body healing on all levels.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: And it's no coincidence that women not only get rid of their symptoms, but have nourishing relationships, passionate sex, more money, and get promotions.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: As long as you show up for yourself and allow yourself to be cracked open, it is going to transform your life.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: This is the missing puzzle piece you've been looking for when it comes to healing for good.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: It's time to glow, it's time to be well nourished.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: All the details will be left in the description box below, and I cannot wait to have you inside.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Because what happens is we perceive it as harmful.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: That you know, we don't have something, and then we feel negative.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: And this causes an activation in our amygdala.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: So our amygdala is that part of your brain that yes, operates pleasure, but also is your primal response, your fight or flight.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: So your amygdala assigns whether you experience something as pleasure or painful, positive or negative, attractive or repulsive.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: So if you start deeming all of these things as negative, as painful, as repulsive, you know, thinking of your body as repulsive, then you assign that to your amygdala and it goes into a sympathetic response.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: When we assign something as positive, your amygdala activates your parasympathetic, which is your calm, rest and digest.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: So if you want to release repressed emotions, you cannot look at them as negative.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: You cannot look at guilt as negative, you cannot feel like negative about shame, all of that.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: There cannot be any negative.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Because when it's negative, your amygdala goes fight or flight, fight or flight, fight or flight, right?
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: Positive, your amygdala goes, rest and digest, rest and digest, right?
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: It's a very calming.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: When it is, remember that when it assigns negative, repulsive, or painful, whether it's through the what you say to yourself, the actions you take, what you label something as, sympathetic survival mode, fight or flight.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: When it does the opposite, when it's pleasureful, nice, positive, it deactivates that.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: So start now not labeling things as bad, wrong, or not as it should be.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, this is like very key.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: And this is like a very powerful mindset shift.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Now know that it will take time, it takes time because your amygdala is constantly wired to look for where you could die, survival mode.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: You we need to help it get out from that state by labeling it as something different.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: But you can choose the labels, you choose to label things as positive or negative, pleasureful or painful.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: So this is where the problem occurs.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Your amygdala perceives something as negative, painful, or repulsive.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: That's the first step, and like in terms of the awareness, now that you have awareness around it, what is your amygdala labeling stuff as, right?
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: And of course, the physical symptoms then come from you labeling things as bad, wrong, or not as it should be, feeling at war with your body instead of looking at it from compassion of like, huh, my body is telling me that I've given too much of my power away.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: It's telling me I need to have better boundaries.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: You know, that's why I'm bloated.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: You know, your cycle, oh, a painful cycle.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Probably need to like be more slow, more nourishing to my feminine.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, I have a headache.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: Where am I putting pressure on myself?
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: You know, your body's always saying, stop putting pressure on yourself, stop putting pressure on yourself.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: And so it's gonna give you that headache until you listen to it.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: Problem is, we try to take something to numb it out to get rid of the symptom, it doesn't actually get rid of it because you're not addressing the underlying root cause.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: And so this is what contributes to that dysregulation in your nervous system.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: You are out, and I'm gonna get to questions afterwards, so I can finish this kind of like full explanation.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: You are out of balance because of these negative problems.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Perceptions, which also then affects your HRV, and like your HRB is a great way to kind of measure what your nervous system is doing.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: It's not required, but if you're someone who likes to likes to see how your nervous system is doing, something that measures your HRV, like an aura ring, I believe Fitbit does, will kind of show you all that.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: So when you have nervous system dysregulation via emotions that have split, fragmented into trauma, and you labeling things as bad, wrong, or not as it should be, it keeps you in that state.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Oh glad, I'm glad this makes sense.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: And I do see questions, and I will get to the questions.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: So the trauma happens because your physical body is constantly sending you feedback, and your physical symptoms are feedback of your nervous system and inauthenticity.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: And what do I mean by inauthenticity is that the lack of love, right?
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: It's not authentic for you to say that you're anything whole, less, and complete already.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: And this live will be saved.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: It will be saved on my profile, and we'll also upload the audio to the podcast because you're probably gonna want to listen to it again and take notes.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: Your symptoms are simply a feedback mechanism from the body to let you know that you have deviated from the truth, that you are pure unconditional love, and it is trying to bring you back.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: One more time, your symptoms are simply a feedback mechanism from the body to let you know that you have deviated from the truth, that you are perfect, whole, complete, unconditional love, and is trying to bring you back.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: There is nothing to fix, there's nothing wrong with you.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: It is simply a processing of emotions that made you feel less than and start labeling from your amygdala, not that things are negative, repulsive, unpleasurable, and rather the opposite.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: It's simply a feedback that you're not seeing something.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: And then the thing is we try to avoid seeking it, seeing it, right?
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Our amygdala wants to avoid pain and seek pleasure, which is why it's much easier to reach for a gummy hair vitamin than to sit with the parts of ourself that are not feeling rooted and grounded and are actually making your hair fall out.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Or, you know, the guilt from not setting boundaries or people pleasing.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, I could go on and name every symptom, right?
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: But that's why your amygdala is actually seeking the easier option.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: It's a lot easier to think I could take this vitamin and that's why, you know, it's gonna do my hair instead of sitting with those parts.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Excess energy from the split parts of your trauma manifests as physical symptoms, not to mention a dysregulated nervous system.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: So the second we have symptoms, we assume that it's an illness instead of a response of feedback to guide you back to homeostasis, to guide you back to a regulated state.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: We try to find a quick band-aid or whatever to cover it up instead of actually understanding and taking a moment to listen to our bodies.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: And then we wonder why we find it hard to intuitively listen to our bodies or to know what our body is telling us.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: If you don't listen to your body, you don't have that relationship with it, you don't have that trust.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: You have to start building that trust.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: And then we get frustrated when the quick fix doesn't work or stops working and then gives you a whole host of other side effects, right?
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Because you're not looking at the root.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: So your body and life are a feedback mechanism guiding you back to the authentic you.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: And it's actually quite magnificent.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: When you realize that your body is constantly communicating you through specific emotions and trauma and thought patterns, it's actually insane.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: If we just listen, right?
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: If every moment of your life that there is an imbalance, you end up storing that information in your nervous system.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: But the moment you realize, then you can go into your amygdala and be like, ooh, what is this telling me?
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, interesting.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: Where's that showing up in my life?
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: How can I label this as positive and get out of that state, right?
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: So it's about opening up your system to that.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Our symptoms are not bad, they're actually part of a wellness process of your body trying to repair conflict.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Your symptoms are simply your body trying to repair conflict in your body.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: And the conflict is like the dissonance between you feeling whole and complete and the emotions that you're feeling.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: How do you feel shame about yourself but also love yourself?
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Like you gotta have no shame.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: And it's trying to bring you back to that.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: So the wisdom of your body is so profound and it knows what it's trying to do.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Your brain and nervous system are a love-seeking organism.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: All right, it is dedicated to you experiencing a life that you love.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: Remember, your symptoms are letting you know that you are in an amygdala operating with negative valencies.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Negative valencies just means the pleasantness or unpleasantness of an emotional event.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: So when you rewire it, you start using your executive center of your brain, which is called the appreciation center, which label things as positive and pleasurable.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: You have more resilience, more adaptability, more homeostasis, you are more regulated, right?
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: And all of the judgments that you make before are weighing you down.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: Sometimes literally weighing you down, right?
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: And that's when weight can get hard to lose.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: Weight is like when you can't get low let go of weight and you're like eating clean, you're moving your body, that that's stored emotion.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: The emotion is energy in motion, it has to go somewhere.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: And that's why so many people, when they do this work, they like drop weight like this.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: It's because they were actually holding on to something else.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: It was never the weight, it was the emotion.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: And so when we think about how we heal, we have to allow emotions not only like to be there, but processing them with someone who feels safe to us.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Allowing emotions to be there with someone who feels safe, processing them with them with someone who feels safe.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: Not judging those parts, not judging, wronging those parts, or invalidating them because it wasn't that bad, because I shouldn't feel that way.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: All right, how many times have you said, oh, it wasn't that bad?
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: I know this is dumb, and I know I shouldn't feel this way.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: There is no, oh, I shouldn't feel this way, it wasn't that bad.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: All that matters is how your brain perceived it.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: It's already happened.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: So you might as well not invalidate yourself, and you might as well just acknowledge that that's how you felt.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: You're a human with feelings, right?
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: So, not judging those parts, somatically moving your body in ways that allow the stored energy to release.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: And if you're interested in like what the somatic movements are, that's what well nourishes for, and that's what we do in there.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Next thing, setting boundaries and creating an environment that allows you to be seen, loved, and heard.
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: All right, oftentimes a lot of our nervous system dysregulation happens when we're younger and we're not feeling fully seen, loved, and heard.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: And it is no fault, I don't blame parents in anything that I do.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Parents are not perfect.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: They try their best, but there might be instances where you do not feel seen, loved, and heard.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: This is where you don't invalidate the right, you don't be like, well, like I know my parents loved me and they were this and they did their best.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: And we're not saying that they don't.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: But when you invalidate your experience as a child, or anytime you didn't feel loved, seen, and heard, then you deny your body of actually processing that emotion.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: And you're labeling it as like, no, you're not allowed to feel that way.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: And think about as an adult, how frustrating it is if someone ever tells you that you're not allowed to feel that way.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: I am so excited because the next round of wealth recode is officially open.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: This is the program that recodes your nervous system to feel safe with wealth.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: Receiving it, holding it, growing it, wealth of all kinds.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: There are live healing calls with me where we are going to be doing the deep rewiring of living beliefs, letting go of lack and scarcity in your nervous system, generational and past life trauma around money and wealth, and getting you into a state where you are living in complete overflow with wealth.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: This round is even more potent than before because I have unlocked new levels since the last round that are going to change everything.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: These are the shifts that have changed my life and my bank account.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: This is not only going to change how you respond to wealth, it is going to change your entire relationship to it.
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: There's also plenty of time for QA and a Telegram channel to ask questions in between calls to get support.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Yum.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: So this is for you if you want to heal your relationship with money and become a higher mash for wealth and bring nervous system safety into it.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: Check out the link in the description.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: I cannot wait to see you inside.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: And if you have any questions, let me know.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: And let's get back to the episode.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: And then the last thing in terms of like how we heal is like making the moves that you know in your heart, that even if they're uncomfortable to go there and sit with those parts, you do that anyway.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: And so that's what really doing the work looks like.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Addressing unhealed traumas, sitting with the parts of you that feel not enough, not seen or heard, or sometimes even too much.
- 30:49unknown: Right.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: And that's an interesting dynamic.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we feel too much, but not enough at the same time.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: Letting your voice be heard.
- 30:58SPEAKER_00: Examining the stories and beliefs you hold, right?
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: About whether it's setting boundaries, people pleasing, beliefs you hold about love, beliefs you hold about yourself, whether you're worthy, whether you're good enough, right?
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Noticing the defense mechanisms that don't serve you, where you get into self-coping strategies where you dismiss yourself, dismiss your feelings, allowing recovery time for your nervous system, very important.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: Alright, a lot of people experience when they're healing their nervous system, they get tired and they're like, well, is it not working?
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: It's like, no, when your nervous system actually comes out of fight or flight, there is a period of you resting.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: Think about you've been running a marathon for like 10 years and then you stop running the marathon, you will be a little tired.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Allow that to happen.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Allow your body to actually recuperate.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: You know, pay attention to what drains you during that time.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And really noticing the parts of you that crave love and external validation and give them to yourself.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: This is everything that's key when it comes to releasing emotions and regulating your nervous system.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'm gonna get to the questions.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: And leave any more questions if we have them.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: I think I scrolled a little bit to top, but if I don't answer yours, um let me know.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: What if my amygdala assigns painful things as pleasurable, like domestic violence?
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's a whole kind of like separate issue.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: That has to do with your nervous system actually getting like a secondary gain from it and your nervous system believing that it's actually safer to be in that instance.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: So that has to do with like it is still keeping you safe.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: And so when we think about, you know, it's not, it's actually less safe for you to leave it, it's actually less safe for you to set boundaries, actually less safe for you to do all that, right?
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Normally the thing that's uncomfortable is the thing that's not safe.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: Well, when we're in instances like that over a period of time, that becomes our normal, that becomes safe.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm not sure if like there's any kind of a history in your family when you were growing up and everything like that, but for some people, if you saw, you know, dad hit mom all the time, that can be safe for you.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: That's actually what your nervous system knows.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: And so when we even grow up in a dysregulated environment, anything that's not dysregulating is not safe.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: So your body literally wants to stay, unfortunately, in a place that keeps it dysregulated because that's what it knows.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: And that is heartbreaking, but unfortunately it's true.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: And when we understand that, then we can break out of it.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: But your body's actually addicted to it.
- 33:34unknown: Right?
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: And so it's addicted to the pleasure that it gets from that.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: So if you're asking your amygdala to give up pleasure, it's gonna be very hard.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be like, why would you take away this thing that you know gives me pleasure?
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Good question though.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm currently dealing with long COVID, but all my symptoms are basically pointing to chronic fatigue.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: Do you have any advice on what I can do?
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: So chronic fatigue is your nervous system being so I used to suffer with it for 10 years, so I understand what it is.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: Is your nervous system being so built up that it crashes?
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Like it literally, it cannot operate in fight or flight anymore.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: It's just baseline, it's got nothing.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: It's got nothing.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: So my advice to you is to start peeling back those onion layers, to start releasing those oppressed emotions.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Again, whether it's with me, whoever you feel like you're really drawn to, and that holds a safe space for you, to process those properly so that they can leave your body.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Once you do that, the fatigue will go away.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, that makes sense.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: Is that what causes anxiety?
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Yes, anxiety is also caused by like fear of going to the future and also not trusting the flow of life.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: So, a lot of with anxiety is that something happened to you that made you not trust life.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: So, a kind of a more classic one is like parents getting divorced, right?
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: You go when you're a kid, you think mom and dad are gonna be together forever, they get divorced, it's like boom, your life implodes, you know, especially when you're young, and then you believe that you can't trust life.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: Life will throw you a big one.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: I've also worked with athletes who've gotten injuries, you know, and then they've gotten a knee injury and they lose their soccer scholarship or they they lose their ability to play professionally, that makes you lose trust in the flow of life, right?
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: So that's another one that causes anxiety.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Just make a sip of water.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: What are the reasons that generate the symptoms of wanting to eat all the time?
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: You're actually seeking pleasure.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: So this is beautiful.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: Your body is bringing up emotions that want to be processed, but going back to the we're gonna naturally look for what's easiest.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: It's easiest to go to food than to sit with the parts that are feeling those emotions.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna like, oh, if I can eat enough food, those emotions will eventually go down because the food's gonna give you that pleasure dopamine response, it's gonna elicit neurochemicals that make you feel good, and it's an avoidance tactic for actually dealing with what wants to come up.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: A good question.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the slice will be saved.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: Yes, thank you.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: I have trauma/slash fear when I want to end my romantic relationship when I know it's not serving me.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: How do I process that?
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: So the fear around that comes with you believing that it is bad or wrong or not as it should be, right?
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: So when you start labeling that as it's something bad, even though you know it's not serving you, you think it's either bad for you or bad for them, or you're gonna hurt, or you feel guilt, or you feel shame, it's gonna be very hard for you to do that.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: And I don't know, there's also like a fear of like loneliness, fear of not finding someone else, fear that you're gonna be alone.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: But especially as women, our primal drive is love and connection.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: So anything that threatens our ability to feel part of a community or to feel part of the tribe or to feel like we're gonna be in a relationship or we're gonna be like outcasted, it's gonna be very hard for our brain to go against that.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: So if you believe as part of this fear, is like you're not gonna get into a relationship, or I don't know, maybe you won't get married again, or you won't, I don't know, have kids, whatever it is, your brain is not gonna want to leave the tribe.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: So it's about bringing safety into that.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Uh okay.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: You mentioned about headaches and asking where are you putting pressure on yourself.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: Have you seen skin tangles like acne linked with self-love or something else?
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, I've worked with tons of acne, tons of uh tons of eczema, tons of PCOS.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Acne is self-rejection, right?
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: It's a conflict between you and you rejecting yourself on some level.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Now know that self-rejection can be you looking in the mirror and being like, you're fat, you're ugly, you're this, you've got, I don't know, legs like this.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: But self-rejection is also people pleasing.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: So when you people please, you reject yourself.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: When you don't set boundaries, you reject yourself.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: And so that lack of that self-rejection, take it from someone who had chronic acne, builds up and then comes out through your skin.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: You have to stop rejecting yourself.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: So start asking yourself, where do you reject yourself?
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: Not just like physically, but where do you reject your emotional leads needs?
- 38:09SPEAKER_00: Where do you reject yourself in any kind of people pleasing or boundaries?
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: You know, all that kind of stuff.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: Good question though.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Uh is being unsuccessful in a career connected to as trauma?
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: It can be.
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: It could be like fear of being seen, um, fear of what people will think of you, fear of success.
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: What will success mean?
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Are you scared people are going to judge you?
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: Are you scared of the projections you're gonna get from people?
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: Um, did anyone you when you were younger label successful people as bad, wrong, greedy, anything like that?
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: 1000%.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: I work with a lot of people around that.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: Yes, thanks.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: All you said is true.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: Beautiful.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: Hello, hello.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: Um, do you have any advice on where to start?
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: I've been in bed for about two weeks with a fatigue.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: So start number one, addressing where you can put better boundaries.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: Where do you know that's already draining you that you can put boundaries so that it doesn't keep draining you?
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure if you were here in the beginning of the live when we covered like the top three things of why we're dysregulated.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: But number two is that we have dysregulated environments, right?
- 39:19SPEAKER_00: So is your relationships draining you?
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: Do you need boundaries there?
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Do you need boundaries that for your work life?
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Do you need better work-life balance?
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Like, what are those things that you can already start to shift that are contributing to the fatigue?
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: Because while it's always like stuff when you were younger and trauma and stuff like that, I guarantee you you're there are things that you're doing in your everyday life that are contributing to that, and that we can kind of like plug the hole in the bucket, if you will, when it comes to what's draining you.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna stay on for a couple more minutes if there's any more questions.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: If any of this resonated with you, I have a number of beautiful containers to support you.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: If you feel like I'm the safe space you want to be in, if you feel like you resonate with the way I explain things and kind of my content and everything like that, you can always send me a DM and I'll point you to what container is best for you.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: Um, and then we can always go from there.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: What is the best way to build safety in your nervous system?
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: Back to the relationship question: safety within yourself.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: You have to sit with the parts of yourself, and again, if you need help with this, is what the containers are for, but you have to sit with the parts of yourself that don't feel safe with yourself because you cannot feel safe in a relationship if you do not feel safe with yourself.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: And ultimately, safety in yourself is like required.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: You need to have safety within yourself.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: So the best way, like, in order to build that safety, you have to, again, going back to the beginning of the live, where are you labeling things as bad or wrong?
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Where are you rejecting yourself?
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: You can't have safety in yourself if you reject yourself, you can't have safety in yourself if you abandon yourself.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna give kind of like a visual container, especially when it comes to like safety in your body.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: Imagine because most things happen to you before the age of seven, like the big patterns, right?
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: So imagine this little seven-year-old girl, and you're trying to bring safety into her, and it can be really helpful to think of this part of you as like beside you or something separate, so you understand like visually the context, right?
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: So you're trying to build safety for her, but you keep abandoning her, you keep neglecting her, right?
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: Which is what we do when we people please, and we don't set boundaries and we negatively self-talk and we self-abandon.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: You're abandoning, rejecting that little girl who is the part of you that actually wants to be loved, seen, felt, and heard.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: That's how you build the safety.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: She needs to be loved, seen, felt, and heard.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: You gotta stop abandoning self-rejecting.
- 41:43SPEAKER_00: So if you're staying, for example, in a relationship that doesn't serve you, you're rejecting and abandoning that little girl inside.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: So then how does she feel safe with you?
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: She doesn't.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: That safety needs to be built.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: Sarah, let me know if that makes sense.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: That was really helpful.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: Wonderful.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: What are the containers?
- 42:05SPEAKER_00: Um, we have well-nourished, which is like the big one for releasing all the stuck emotions and trauma in your nervous system so that you can not be triggered, so that you can bring more like ease, you can get into a calm, parasympathetic state.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: That's also the one that clears your symptoms.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: It's really the big one that dissolves fear, guilt, anger, shame, sadness, loneliness, and anchors and safety into your body.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: Um, there's attached, which is all about your attachment style and relationships.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: There's regulate, which is like a beautiful masterclass about the lifestyle stuff every day to kind of do that's really easy.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: They take less than five minutes, and it's not meditate for two hours, and it's not really like supplements, it's it's the easy lifestyle stuff.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: Um for wealth or like business stuff, there's gonna be wealth recode that's actually opening the next month.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: So if you want more safety in your nervous system when it comes to receiving money, holding money, growing money, and flowing money, that's gonna be for you.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, like I said, if I resonate with you, just send me a DM and I'll point you to which direction is best depending on what you have going on.
- 43:07SPEAKER_00: Is it possible for me to fully regulate my nervous system on my own without working with someone?
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: So, Zoe, the question, the answer to this is it's very hard when you are not seen, felt, and heard, and you're not held in a safe container.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: So imagine I have a water bottle.
- 43:24SPEAKER_00: Imagine your emotions and repressed trauma is water.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna pour this on myself, but if I were to pour this, there's no safe space for this to go.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: It can't be held anywhere.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: When you are held in a container with someone to process these things, you're able to completely crack open and let go.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: It's like you can sink.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: It's very hard to process your own trauma, especially like I have a degree in psychology, I went to med school, like I I have degrees in this, and I still don't even hold my own safety.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Space all the time.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Like I still have someone hold space for me who's like in trauma work.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna be seen and held in a different way.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: And the other thing I'll say is that you may not even know what you need to know to process.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: So a lot of my clients they come to me, they're like, I know I have this, but I don't know what my trauma is.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: I don't remember what it was when I was a child.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: I don't remember, you know, what it was.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: So if you don't remember, how can you process something that's in your unconscious?
- 44:24SPEAKER_00: How can you process something that your brain has put in Pandora's box to keep you safe?
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: It's repressed.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: It's called repressed emotions for a reason, right?
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: How how does it, if it's unconscious, it's it's hard for you to do yourself.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of like the answer to that.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a lot faster to do it with someone else, and you're probably gonna go deeper because you won't actually be able to fully let go and process at the same time.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: Um, let me know if that makes sense.
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: And in terms of like if you also start plugging the holes in terms of you can on your own start setting boundaries, but if you try to set boundaries, like, for example, on your own, and that part of you cannot set boundaries for the life of you, you probably need support, right?
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: If you can't stop negative self-talking or rejecting yourself or thinking you're less than or not worthy or ugly or anything, like whether it's physical or internal, then you probably need help, right?
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Remember, it's your brain is wired a certain way, and you need to change that wiring.
- 45:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, I think I understand more.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: I never saw what you do as part of a therapist.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, there's a reason I do what I do, it's because I'm I'm trained, like, and that's why I say like find a safe space with someone that you know, someone that you trust that knows what they're doing.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: It's not just like the trendy language, it's like someone who's been to school, has certifications, has degrees, you know, whatever is required for you to properly process, because it is not a joke.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: And the other thing I'll say in terms of processing your own trauma, you don't want to re-traumatize yourself.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: So, what could happen is if you don't actually know how to move that emotion out of your body, what will happen is you will bring it up, you will experience the emotion, but you won't actually know how to process, and you're gonna split it off again, and then you're gonna re-traumatize and get stored in your body.
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: And that's why it's not as simple as like sit with the emotion and just cry it out.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: It's not that simple in terms of like processing trauma and like repressed emotions.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: What's gonna happen if that's too much?
- 46:29SPEAKER_00: If you bring up those repressed emotions and you try to let it go yourself and you don't properly process all of the emotions, you're just gonna split it again and then you're gonna store it.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: And then you get this vicious cycle of like you're trying to let it go, but you end up storing it because you don't actually know.
- 46:44SPEAKER_00: And again, you just weren't taught this in school.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: There's a reason people go to school for this.
- 46:48SPEAKER_00: Just like we don't all know how to fix a motor in a car.
- 46:51SPEAKER_00: It's not our fault.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: We didn't go to is it called mechanic school?
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: Whatever it is.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: So you get what I my point.
- 46:58SPEAKER_00: All right, are there any final questions when it comes to releasing stuck emotions in your nervous system?
- 47:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: This will be oh, I have other issues like PMDD and fatigue, which has made so many issues with social anxiety.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: I'd love to chat to you more about working through these issues.
- 47:18SPEAKER_00: Of course, Holly, just send me a message.
- 47:20SPEAKER_00: I am the one who responds to my DMs, so it's not my team who goes through DMs, it's me personally.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: So you can always go in there and we can have a chat.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: I'll probably voice note you because I'm a big fan of voice and and that way I can explain things deeper for you.
- 47:34SPEAKER_00: So yeah, always send me a voice note and we can kind of point you in the right direction.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: So this will be saved to my page.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: This will also go up in the podcast if you kind of want to walk around and not have to like watch it on your phone and just listen to it.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: It will be up.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Like I said, if I resonate with you or if any of what I said resonated with you and you want further support, just reach out and we can find um a good container.
- 47:55SPEAKER_00: I would challenge the working with someone who doesn't have degrees.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: You can work with anyone in energy work to do this who works the energetic fields and doing journey work, not with trauma.
- 48:04SPEAKER_00: So if someone has like sexual trauma, you know, deep kind of repressed emotions, you know, abusive relationships, it's not the same thing.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: It's not the same thing.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: And I've actually seen I've actually had to have people who've been to like energy heal, like people who were just trying to like remove energy and it's re-traumatized them, and they've had to come back to me, and then you know, actually had it.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: There is like a scale to processing emotion, it's not just and I love energy healing, like I am an energy healer, it's not just an energy healing, it's deeper than that.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: It's a like an actual recoding.
- 48:42SPEAKER_00: Alright, guys, I'm gonna save this to my profile and I will talk to you guys later.
