Latest / Inside the Birds: A Philadelphia Eagles Podcast / ITB: Can Hurts, Eagles Build Off Some Of Their New Pass Game Concepts Vs. Chargers?
Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back. What's going on? Everybody? It's
- 0:15Speaker 1: Jeff Mosher, Adam Kaplan. Hey, we got something new coming
- 0:19Speaker 1: up at him on Sunday. It's called a one pm kickoff,
- 0:23Speaker 1: Just a normal one o'clock kickoff for the Eagles and
- 0:26Speaker 1: the Raiders on Sunday at the Link. After what was
- 0:28Speaker 1: it four or five straight games primetime Friday nights, Thursday, nights,
- 0:32Speaker 1: Monday and all this crazy stuff, it's nice to see
- 0:35Speaker 1: the Eagles come back and play a normal one o'clock
- 0:37Speaker 1: game again. And Adam, there's a lot at stake. Eagles
- 0:40Speaker 1: are on a three game losing streaks for a long
- 0:42Speaker 1: time since we've said that. But I just want to
- 0:45Speaker 1: draw everybody's attention before we get into this pod. If
- 0:47Speaker 1: you are, if you're someone who likes our show with
- 0:50Speaker 1: Greg Cosel called Inside the Tape where we break down
- 0:53Speaker 1: the offense on one show and defense on another. But
- 0:56Speaker 1: you don't, you don't, you're not able to get to
- 0:58Speaker 1: all of them. You need to get to this last one.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It was really fascinating of the offensive version. And Adam,
- 1:04Speaker 1: I imagine, you know, to take what Greg said and
- 1:08Speaker 1: bring it into this discussion. I've had a tough time
- 1:11Speaker 1: reconciling the fact that the Eagles, as Greg pointed out,
- 1:15Speaker 1: as we showed visually for those who watched on YouTube,
- 1:18Speaker 1: they actually added some real NFL, high level NFL pass concepts,
- 1:23Speaker 1: and they even admitted it and talked about it this
- 1:24Speaker 1: week so far in press conferences. Jalen Hurts acknowledged it
- 1:27Speaker 1: to an extent. They brought that, and there were some
- 1:30Speaker 1: really good throws that Jalen Hurts executed off that. But
- 1:35Speaker 1: at the end of the day, not only did they've
- 1:37Speaker 1: turned the ball over four times, five times twice on
- 1:40Speaker 1: one play, which is a little bit flucish, but it
- 1:42Speaker 1: didn't really solve say, their first their third down issue.
- 1:46Speaker 1: They were awful on third down and they really didn't
- 1:49Speaker 1: open it up for a great running game. It was
- 1:52Speaker 1: a trick play run game that big run. So I
- 1:55Speaker 1: don't know, like I think you and I both had
- 1:57Speaker 1: the same thought, like if you do, you have to
- 2:00Speaker 1: you have to give this more more time. These are
- 2:02Speaker 1: good things for the offense, but it's also they have
- 2:06Speaker 1: to prove and Jalen Hurts has to prove that he
- 2:08Speaker 1: can use these weapons make those throws again, but then
- 2:12Speaker 1: also limit the turnovers and then hit a few more
- 2:15Speaker 1: open players.
- 2:17Speaker 2: You know what's interesting because people are like, oh, they
- 2:19Speaker 2: you know, they did this, they did that. Okay, yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 2: there were some new concepts, but understand people, they've had
- 2:24Speaker 2: plenty of calls that were really good that Hurts didn't
- 2:27Speaker 2: execute that. That's the thing that people are missing. Yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 2: like all of a sudden, you saw them hit slants.
- 2:33Speaker 2: You saw the Hurts throwing beside the numbers. By the way,
- 2:35Speaker 2: those throws have been there all season, the tape, we
- 2:38Speaker 2: punted this out and people yelling at us, the Hurts
- 2:40Speaker 2: truthers or get mad at us. Now it's funny. Now
- 2:43Speaker 2: they're coming out in our side with Greg and they're
- 2:45Speaker 2: actually complimenting them. Okay, I say with you, man, he's
- 2:47Speaker 2: got to hit these throws.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, yes, And then good on Greg right to
- 2:51Speaker 1: point out that he felt that Jalen Hurts played a
- 2:53Speaker 1: better game than people are giving him credit. This is
- 2:55Speaker 1: the guy who everybody says, oh, you you're old school
- 2:58Speaker 1: at the position. You don't like jail Hurt And then
- 3:00Speaker 1: on the worst day ever from the fans like, I
- 3:03Speaker 1: actually think he made a lot of high level throws.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It was really interesting and uh, it's funny. So you
- 3:08Speaker 2: did the the Patreon shout out to our Patreon members.
- 3:11Speaker 2: It was great. Boy. That one you did with Greg
- 3:13Speaker 2: on Tuesday was great. They were waiting for him to
- 3:15Speaker 2: ask him certain questions about okay, hurts or this. They
- 3:19Speaker 2: they it's funny because you never know what they're good.
- 3:22Speaker 2: They take the thing over. You know, whether you or
- 3:24Speaker 2: I are hosting it. We just say we moderate. They
- 3:26Speaker 2: just ask whatever you want. And Greg, he does not
- 3:28Speaker 2: deflect anything. He answers. Yes, he's a little bit stronger
- 3:32Speaker 2: with his information and comments. Sure, you know it's it's
- 3:35Speaker 2: a high level of talk as the one we do
- 3:37Speaker 2: on Wednesdays is Oh yeah, by the way, shout out
- 3:40Speaker 2: to our latest members, Luis and what was the other
- 3:44Speaker 2: guy's name. I'll tell you in a second.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Sure.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Patreon level three and folks, it just it continues to grow.
- 3:51Speaker 2: In level three. That means you get everything we do
- 3:54Speaker 2: on Patreon. And yeah, this guy the new the other
- 3:57Speaker 2: new guys is Nick Dee. We hope to see you
- 3:59Speaker 2: in the chats and and and you get the thing
- 4:02Speaker 2: is the big thing is the level three and level
- 4:04Speaker 2: two you get no commercials. We understand, We hear you
- 4:06Speaker 2: guys with the commercials. We get that, but this keeps
- 4:09Speaker 2: a lot of our stuff for free. Someone's paid. It's
- 4:12Speaker 2: how we pay salaries. Pay the Great Andrew to Checko
- 4:15Speaker 2: and Greg Cosel, which is a million dollars. I'm just kidding,
- 4:19Speaker 2: but no, but that's the pictureon I was not sure
- 4:23Speaker 2: about it, but seeing the support we get and the
- 4:25Speaker 2: passion that the fans have and Eric and on ye boy,
- 4:31Speaker 2: the brothers who are the best and now and Frank
- 4:35Speaker 2: and Judy and the regular that we get. Usually there's
- 4:38Speaker 2: forty to fifty people that come to these like but
- 4:41Speaker 2: they don't come always at the same time of the
- 4:43Speaker 2: hundred to subscribe because most people just they watch. Because
- 4:47Speaker 2: we see the numbers with the analytics, most people just
- 4:50Speaker 2: listen or watch the replay. We don't do they don't come.
- 4:53Speaker 2: That's fine, but it's cool. We all it's like going
- 4:55Speaker 2: to a barrere. We all think we're you know, we're
- 4:57Speaker 2: We keep saying we want to meet you guys. One
- 4:59Speaker 2: of these days gonna happen. But anyway, yeah, I digress.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Yeah, But so the point was that the Eagles are
- 5:07Speaker 1: trying harder, They're they're clearly for the first time making
- 5:10Speaker 1: an attempt to open the pass offense to put in
- 5:14Speaker 1: that are you see other NFL teams run and you
- 5:17Speaker 1: can't call it a colossal failure just because they lost
- 5:20Speaker 1: the game. Uh, just because they turned the ball over
- 5:22Speaker 1: four times. Not all those turnovers came on plays were
- 5:24Speaker 1: those new compliments?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Uh? And they weren't on him, all on him and
- 5:28Speaker 2: they Hurts. That's another thing that people just just jumping
- 5:32Speaker 2: real quick. Yeah, this is what I said. I think
- 5:35Speaker 2: people are pointing out because they like that I said this.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Some people the the the and this is not an
- 5:40Speaker 2: indictment on sports radio. You and I have hosted it
- 5:42Speaker 2: for years. We love sports radio. But sometimes when you're
- 5:45Speaker 2: in sports radio, you feel like you have to come
- 5:47Speaker 2: in angry because you see what's in social media. Hey,
- 5:50Speaker 2: they're killing Hurts, so we have to kill Hurts, right,
- 5:53Speaker 2: we gotta scream and yeah he stinks, he's bad. We
- 5:55Speaker 2: don't do that here. We we focus on teaching. The
- 5:58Speaker 2: reason why we're still arounding eight years in it's because
- 6:00Speaker 2: people get it. We're in the information movement here. We're
- 6:03Speaker 2: not in cheerleaders movement. We're not in yelling. We don't
- 6:06Speaker 2: do that. If you want to go listen to Bobby's podcast.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You don't want to listen to us. If you want
- 6:10Speaker 2: to learn to be smart, keep going. That's it.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Good job, Bobby, so that, but so again. To bring
- 6:18Speaker 1: it back to this week, they're gonna play a Raiders
- 6:20Speaker 1: team that is not good at all. I will say
- 6:24Speaker 1: I've watched the Raiders a couple of times this year.
- 6:26Speaker 1: The one thing I'll say about them, for as bad
- 6:28Speaker 1: as their aster is and I think this is a
- 6:29Speaker 1: little bit of a testament to Pete Carroll, and I
- 6:32Speaker 1: really like their defensive coordinator Patrick Graham.
- 6:34Speaker 2: He's good is good.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And if you look at some of their games against
- 6:38Speaker 1: really good opponents, they have been in those games. They
- 6:41Speaker 1: just don't have enough. They've lost to the Broncos twice
- 6:44Speaker 1: by seven points and three points. Okay, the Broncos are
- 6:47Speaker 1: arguably the best team in the AFC. They lost to
- 6:51Speaker 1: the Chargers thirty one to fourteen, but that game was
- 6:53Speaker 1: actually fourteen to seven at the halftime. They lost to
- 6:55Speaker 1: the Jaguars by one, so they have played sometimes. I mean,
- 6:59Speaker 1: of course they have a couple of blowouts because they're
- 7:01Speaker 1: not good. They lost the Bears by one, So I'm
- 7:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And by the way, they're one of
- 7:06Speaker 1: only two teams this year to somehow beat the Patriots.
- 7:09Speaker 1: That was Week one, which is my favorite express a
- 7:11Speaker 1: Week one of the con job. So my point is
- 7:14Speaker 1: we can all look at this Raiders game and say,
- 7:17Speaker 1: oh man, you know least leagals get a gift. Yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 1: they they're probably gonna win the game. I'm gonna predict
- 7:21Speaker 1: them to win the game. But this Raiders team is
- 7:24Speaker 1: probably not gonna come here and just be like here,
- 7:26Speaker 1: you guys go. You know, Max Crossby plays like like
- 7:29Speaker 1: it every day is his last day in the game
- 7:31Speaker 1: of football, like you know what I'm saying. And the
- 7:33Speaker 1: Eagles offensive line hasn't exactly blocked really great times this year,
- 7:37Speaker 1: so this is a it's a game like the Eagles
- 7:40Speaker 1: can't just walk off the bus and expect that they're
- 7:43Speaker 1: gonna win. They've got to fix their problems. And as
- 7:45Speaker 1: Jalen hurts, Adam, I don't know if you heard what
- 7:46Speaker 1: he said on Wednesday, he definitely talked about being more
- 7:50Speaker 1: detail oriented. And I know this is all coach and
- 7:52Speaker 1: players speak because my lot has been saying this all
- 7:55Speaker 1: year long. More focus, more detail. But this is not
- 7:59Speaker 1: the time to like, you know, Lax, you've added something,
- 8:03Speaker 1: work on it, let it matriculate, and test it out
- 8:06Speaker 1: again against the Raiders and see if you can continue
- 8:08Speaker 1: to grow this thing.
- 8:10Speaker 2: One thing I'll say about Hurts, which which it's just
- 8:13Speaker 2: been time tested. When he's decisive, that belief comes out
- 8:16Speaker 2: of his hand and go wow, that that anticipation pass.
- 8:19Speaker 2: It's funny.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I remember I've watched the DeVante Smith pass like seven eight.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm in my off yeah. I so behind me,
- 8:28Speaker 2: I have a you know, I have a recording studio tonight.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Unfortunately I can't be over there, but so you know,
- 8:34Speaker 2: my recording students don't have a TV. So behind me
- 8:36Speaker 2: is my TV, right, mm hmm. I watched that play
- 8:39Speaker 2: because I've forison fives. I could replay it. I stopped.
- 8:42Speaker 2: You know, I was taping the game, so I I
- 8:44Speaker 2: might have missed two minutes. I was mesmerized by that
- 8:46Speaker 2: throw by Hurts. I was like, that's anticipation, that's Brady,
- 8:51Speaker 2: that's Manning, and that's brave. Okay, and staff Stafford is
- 8:54Speaker 2: not at their level anticipation, but he's pretty damn good.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Well, if if if Jalen had looked the other way
- 8:58Speaker 1: and made that pass, then it would have been Stafford.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Yeah right, right, yeah, yeah when he does that and then
- 9:02Speaker 2: I look past. But I was just like, and people
- 9:05Speaker 2: always ask, why can't he do this a coach? Their
- 9:07Speaker 2: coaches can't answer this. They don't know. But here's the
- 9:11Speaker 2: thing we didn't mention with Greg. It shows a mental growth.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It shows he trusts the system. This is what Steve
- 9:17Speaker 2: Young talked about. Steve Hung was a wild child with
- 9:21Speaker 2: Tampa Bay when he got there in the mid eighties,
- 9:23Speaker 2: before he got to Bill Walsh. Ste he said he
- 9:26Speaker 2: never really trusted the Bill Walsh system until maybe year
- 9:28Speaker 2: three or year four. Once he did, that's when he
- 9:31Speaker 2: had the famous video when he put the blindfold on
- 9:34Speaker 2: and he hit Jerry Rice over the middle, he said,
- 9:36Speaker 2: because I knew the West Coast system so well. Well,
- 9:38Speaker 2: not that we're comparing him to Steve Young, but hurts.
- 9:42Speaker 2: It shows that he's probably trusting a little bit more.
- 9:45Speaker 2: That shit matters. Excuse my language. He's talking to coaches
- 9:48Speaker 2: you and I have done for decades. Now. You know
- 9:51Speaker 2: when they start trusting it because they do things they
- 9:53Speaker 2: weren't doing very well earlier. We saw in the Minnesota
- 9:56Speaker 2: game that passed a J. Brown this past to Smith
- 9:59Speaker 2: was like, Wow, that'shigh level quarterback play. We can't guarantee
- 10:03Speaker 2: you'll ever do it again, but you have to feel
- 10:05Speaker 2: like he's starting to trust the system in base on
- 10:06Speaker 2: what you just said. But he said Wednesday, that's good.
- 10:09Speaker 2: That's what you want to hear. Doesn't mean he won't
- 10:11Speaker 2: throw three picks next week. Probably won't happen. Yeah, and
- 10:14Speaker 2: we'll break down the game with Greg. I mean, I
- 10:16Speaker 2: know they're personal pretty well and Greg Olsen, Greg Olson,
- 10:19Speaker 2: their offensive coordinator is super aggressive, like he's not I'm
- 10:22Speaker 2: I know he had a fire Chip Kelly because he
- 10:24Speaker 2: was terrible Greg greg Olsen not the Greg Olson on
- 10:28Speaker 2: on Fox. But Only is a old time I want
- 10:32Speaker 2: to throw the ball. He'd been flipper for the flipper
- 10:36Speaker 2: very close. Only is super aggressive throwing it now. It
- 10:40Speaker 2: may rain. The weather is supposed to be mid thirties dreary.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Let's hope it doesn't rain.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Ye.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I know we'll get more to this with Greg on
- 10:48Speaker 2: Friday or Saturday, whenever we do the pregame show. With
- 10:50Speaker 2: the personal battle offense, it'srocious, mostly trocious, but he can
- 10:54Speaker 2: make it look better because he is his thing is
- 10:58Speaker 2: throwing it and we'll see what happened. I just want
- 11:00Speaker 2: to put that out there because we're you just talked
- 11:03Speaker 2: about how they could be competitive. Okay, you know I
- 11:06Speaker 2: want to play off that they they and we'll see
- 11:09Speaker 2: if we'll get to the Raiders injury port. They have
- 11:11Speaker 2: a couple interesting players on offense that just haven't gotten
- 11:14Speaker 2: the job, and Genty everybody knows about. But they have
- 11:16Speaker 2: some interesting receivers. But you know, Colton Miller, and we'll
- 11:19Speaker 2: get to their entry. But he's been out since week five.
- 11:21Speaker 2: He may be playing this week, so we'll talk about that.
- 11:23Speaker 2: We'll get to their injury report.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah. My biggest to just wrap it up, My biggest
- 11:27Speaker 1: concern would be for Jalen that because of the four turnovers,
- 11:33Speaker 1: that he goes back to not wanting to trust those throws.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yes, don't be risk averse, right, because it's been on
- 11:42Speaker 2: my mind.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It was beautiful when he trusted it, you know, and.
- 11:47Speaker 2: None of us can say whether he'll do it. I
- 11:50Speaker 2: don't know. He's never trusted the system. Part of it's
- 11:54Speaker 2: and I heard Mike Gil ask you this question or
- 11:56Speaker 2: bring it up. Part of Jalen's problems. I'm telling you.
- 11:59Speaker 2: I know, for facts I ask people, is having so
- 12:02Speaker 2: many different play callers. He's never had anyone for two
- 12:04Speaker 2: full seasons. Remember Stiching didn't have two full seasons season
- 12:08Speaker 2: and a half. Yeah, that matters like that, And sometimes
- 12:12Speaker 2: you're ever thinking, you know, that's something we've heard from
- 12:15Speaker 2: you know about other quarterbacks before. Sometimes they overthink. I
- 12:18Speaker 2: don't know what it is, but I could tell you
- 12:20Speaker 2: who that they're not very good at corner of the raiders.
- 12:22Speaker 2: They have size, they definitely have size, but there are
- 12:25Speaker 2: gonna be opportunities there. And then on your point, as
- 12:28Speaker 2: we move on here, does he take advantage of it?
- 12:30Speaker 1: That's the question, very big question.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Hey.
- 12:33Speaker 1: One thing that always scares me is the latest financial scam.
- 12:36Speaker 1: And with the holidays, it's all about finding the perfect gift.
- 12:39Speaker 1: But this time of the year, not every deal is
- 12:41Speaker 1: actually what it seems. You've got these scammers getting more
- 12:44Speaker 1: creative to trick people into sharing their payment info through

- 15:13Speaker 1: through some of the transactions and the injuries. The biggest,
- 15:16Speaker 1: the biggest transaction that was supposed to mean something for
- 15:21Speaker 1: this game happened, unfortunately for Eagles fans a few weeks ago,
- 15:25Speaker 1: when the Raiders fired Chip Kelly. Because I can only
- 15:30Speaker 1: imagine as angry as the Eagle fan is right now
- 15:33Speaker 1: already at their own team, imagine how bad it.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I would have loved it. I would have yeah, oh oh,
- 15:40Speaker 2: he would have got booed that. They would have booed
- 15:42Speaker 2: him like crazy. Yeah that is that's that would have
- 15:47Speaker 2: been wild. Man. We one of these days we'll have
- 15:50Speaker 2: to have a chip our Chip Kelly stories. Yeah, he's
- 15:54Speaker 2: a he's a he's a different guy. I always got
- 15:57Speaker 2: along with him, but man, he's so hard to figure out.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And I'll leave it at that.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, A unique fellow for sure.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Uh.
- 16:04Speaker 1: The other transaction obviously the Eagles. If you're seeing they
- 16:07Speaker 1: waved Cam Ademitas the long Snapper. I like the jokes
- 16:12Speaker 1: people are putting on social media. That's true accountability, you know,
- 16:16Speaker 1: for Jake Elliott's missie. But what it really was is
- 16:20Speaker 1: because Charlie Hewlett was in the ready to get into
- 16:22Speaker 1: the practice window, so you imagine everything we should be
- 16:27Speaker 1: ready pathetic with him and yeah or else what would
- 16:30Speaker 1: they have He was a full practically right in Wednesday practice.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't work any just like you know, they
- 16:35Speaker 2: did not work out any well. I know they got
- 16:37Speaker 2: home at seventh They landed like seven thirty or something
- 16:40Speaker 2: on Monday morning, so they didn't work anyone then, But
- 16:43Speaker 2: they didn't work at anyone out on Wednesday, So that that
- 16:46Speaker 2: would tell you that it's probable that Charlie Hewlett will
- 16:49Speaker 2: be available for this game. And by the way, Hewlett's
- 16:53Speaker 2: injury I abdomen that it's not a lot that this happened.
- 16:57Speaker 2: But usually when they say abdomen, it's I don't want
- 17:01Speaker 2: to say sports herny because doctor Myrs will be mad. Yes,
- 17:03Speaker 2: core muscle searchery, Yes it could have been, but because
- 17:07Speaker 2: that's because it's been really two months. That's typically six
- 17:10Speaker 2: eight weeks is what it takes. Although I know doctor
- 17:12Speaker 2: Myers has got people back if they really needed to
- 17:15Speaker 2: athletes the spec sooner if it was like if he
- 17:18Speaker 2: had to, But so Hewlett was designated for return. He's
- 17:21Speaker 2: trending well Miles Hinton will not play this season. He
- 17:24Speaker 2: was not activated in time this practice period expired. I
- 17:28Speaker 2: hate this rule. You might have heard me if if
- 17:29Speaker 2: you listened to my injury update last week for the
- 17:31Speaker 2: Charger game. It's just dumb, like, okay, you're not letting
- 17:35Speaker 2: him back. He was not activated. Okay, but why can't
- 17:38Speaker 2: he practice? He said, he's a rookie, Well, why can't
- 17:42Speaker 2: you let him practice it? What's wrong with that? You
- 17:45Speaker 2: penalize him? Stupid?
- 17:47Speaker 1: I would suspect Adam it's because they That is their counteractive,
- 17:54Speaker 1: the NFL's way of counteracting the practice, the stash, the
- 17:58Speaker 1: phantom injury stash.
- 18:00Speaker 2: But but but yeah, but you can't. He can't play
- 18:03Speaker 2: or practice, So what's the difference.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Well, but if he was, if he could practice, then
- 18:10Speaker 1: you could get something there.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You know you're saying, why can't he practice? If they
- 18:13Speaker 1: allowed him to?
- 18:14Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, if if if they Eagles let
- 18:16Speaker 2: to expire, right, so the Eagles knew, h yeah, he's
- 18:19Speaker 2: on i R. He's done. He was designated for return.
- 18:22Speaker 2: He had They had twenty one days to make a decision.
- 18:24Speaker 2: They felt he wasn't ready for whatever reason, he wasn't ready,
- 18:27Speaker 2: but so what so, so the rule is stupid. Okay,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I'm good with he can't play, Okay, twenty one day window.
- 18:34Speaker 2: They didn't think he could play. He's not allowed to play,
- 18:36Speaker 2: but you you won't let him practice? Why set the
- 18:38Speaker 2: player back? He's a rookie. It's not fair to the
- 18:41Speaker 2: player because by the way, last week he didn't play,
- 18:45Speaker 2: but he practiced, so he so he he wasn't allowed
- 18:51Speaker 2: to practice day because he was the uh period expired.
- 18:55Speaker 2: It's just dumb. It it's a setback to the player.
- 18:58Speaker 2: It's why pause.
- 19:00Speaker 1: He's on ir though right that he can't practice.
- 19:03Speaker 2: No, But here's my point though, yes he is, but
- 19:05Speaker 2: they designated him for return. Why not let him? Why
- 19:09Speaker 2: not say, okay, you're not allowed to play because you
- 19:10Speaker 2: weren't activated within twenty one days, but why not let
- 19:13Speaker 2: him practice?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah? No, I get that, but I feel like then
- 19:15Speaker 1: then you can especially the Eagles, because they always do
- 19:17Speaker 1: these kind of things like you're open the door to
- 19:20Speaker 1: be able to circumvent Like if he could practice, then
- 19:23Speaker 1: you could see the Eagles stockpiling a lot of guys
- 19:26Speaker 1: saying they're injured, having their window expire, then having him
- 19:29Speaker 1: out there practice knowing that they can't.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I get that, but just so you know, just so
- 19:33Speaker 2: you know, the league checks up on this stuff. I
- 19:35Speaker 2: remember talking to a club about this a couple of
- 19:37Speaker 2: years ago. It goes, no, you he can't stash. No,
- 19:40Speaker 2: it's what happened is is you either have to take
- 19:44Speaker 2: The league gets the practice, they get all the practice footage. Yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 2: they know if you're doing that shit. And and by
- 19:49Speaker 2: the way, the league does show up pretty utterly to
- 19:50Speaker 2: make sure you're not doing something worth the entry. But
- 19:52Speaker 2: it's another little secret, right that the league doesn't talk about,
- 19:56Speaker 2: which is absolutely hundred percent true because I've I've talked
- 19:58Speaker 2: to them about it. I just think it's unfortunate because
- 20:02Speaker 2: it kids like this need they need work, you know.
- 20:06Speaker 2: But I know you're saying, like, if he's real close,
- 20:09Speaker 2: why not just activate him, just have him inactive because
- 20:11Speaker 2: right because remember he's he would have to take up
- 20:14Speaker 2: a rush. But if you activate him to the fit
- 20:16Speaker 2: fifty three, then yes, I just feel bad for the
- 20:18Speaker 2: kid that he won't. But just to move on from this, yeah,
- 20:21Speaker 2: I just feel bad for him because if he's like
- 20:23Speaker 2: ninety ready up sorry, twenty one day when windows up.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Although you can't play the season. We're also not gonna
- 20:30Speaker 2: let you practice. That's the thing. I just think it's wrong.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I get that, I hear what you're saying. It's
- 20:33Speaker 1: funny because egos are gonna wind up having basically an
- 20:36Speaker 1: entire offensive line full of guys on the team but
- 20:39Speaker 1: who are not gonna play, from Willie Lampion at center
- 20:42Speaker 1: to another one Drew Kendall. You got two tackles hitting
- 20:45Speaker 1: Cameron Williams right, who are never gonna play this year.
- 20:49Speaker 1: And I'm sure there's some other guy I'm not thinking of,
- 20:51Speaker 1: but they could literally have him a whole offensive line
- 20:54Speaker 1: worth of guys who don't play this year.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yep.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Very interesting. All right, let's get to the main injuries.
- 21:00Speaker 1: So on Wednesday, Wednesday's practice report, just for everybody knows,
- 21:04Speaker 1: it's an estimation, but it is an estimation of if
- 21:06Speaker 1: they had a practice because of what they did was
- 21:08Speaker 1: a walkthrough. So if they were to have practiced on Wednesday,
- 21:12Speaker 1: Jalen Carter and Lane Johnson would not have been participants.
- 21:16Speaker 1: They were listed as did not participate. I think it's
- 21:20Speaker 1: pretty base on what we've heard and talked about. Very
- 21:23Speaker 1: unlikely about Jillen Carter playing this weekend and Lane Johnson,
- 21:29Speaker 1: we'll see, right, I mean, not being able to be
- 21:31Speaker 1: out there on the first day the walkthrough or makes
- 21:35Speaker 1: gives me a little pause, but I guess we got
- 21:36Speaker 1: to see as the week goes on.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't give you any indication whether it be
- 21:40Speaker 2: ready or not. But based on what Aaron Borgman told us,
- 21:44Speaker 2: a former assistant trainer for the Eagles and Chiefs, you
- 21:47Speaker 2: gotta hear this. We're gonna put the for Patreon, but
- 21:49Speaker 2: we're gonna give you that he did. We went over
- 21:51Speaker 2: a lot of players. We're gonna put the link. If
- 21:53Speaker 2: you're not a Patreon member, we're gonna put the Lane
- 21:54Speaker 2: Johnson one out for free. You gotta hear this thing.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I've known about this century since du Saley had it,
- 22:00Speaker 2: you know, back in two thousand. But man, the details
- 22:04Speaker 2: that he had stuff I was never heard before, like I.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Was, including the history of the name.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Yes, well I knew that, but the stirrups and because
- 22:12Speaker 2: Mike Momola brought it up, because that ended Mike's career,
- 22:15Speaker 2: and Mike told it, Andrew was was Andrew. Maybe it's
- 22:19Speaker 2: just me and my I can't remember. Andrews knows me
- 22:21Speaker 2: knows me and Maurice and Mike doing the for WBCB,
- 22:26Speaker 2: and I asked him, I said, didn't you have a
- 22:28Speaker 2: list Frankie goes yet? And in my career, I'm like,
- 22:29Speaker 2: oh my, oh man. And he explained it because you
- 22:32Speaker 2: have to remember, Mike mcmolla was an explosive edge rusher.
- 22:36Speaker 2: He wasn't obviously a great player, but he was very seerful.
- 22:39Speaker 2: People thought he was a bust. He wasn't a bust.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's just no. Yeah, he had a bad injury and
- 22:45Speaker 2: back then, uh, before we move on, that's they weren't
- 22:49Speaker 2: quite up. The league wasn't quite and medical science wasn't
- 22:52Speaker 2: quite up on that for athletes the list franc injury right. Anyway,
- 22:56Speaker 2: I just want to mention you. You got to hear
- 22:57Speaker 2: this couple. Hopefully you get out by Friday. It is
- 23:00Speaker 2: phenomenal what Aaron did. Oh no, wait, we already have
- 23:03Speaker 2: it out there, right, Yeah, you know, it's it's up
- 23:04Speaker 2: people listen, folks go And but one more little nugget
- 23:09Speaker 2: for you. Look at the shirt he's wearing, and we'll
- 23:11Speaker 2: we'll and Aaron gives you the story. It's crazy, yes, funny.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Uh, that's yeah. If you watch the YouTube version, you'll
- 23:17Speaker 1: see shirt. I did cut the story out though of
- 23:21Speaker 1: the shirt for the mainstream because that's oh okay, Pereon content.
- 23:27Speaker 2: That's I got it. I got it, but it's really
- 23:29Speaker 2: the shirt.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We'll get the flashback.
- 23:31Speaker 2: But I got it. When he said what it was,
- 23:33Speaker 2: I got I got it. What game it was? Yeah,
- 23:37Speaker 2: although you know, it's funny with Merrion Merril and I
- 23:39Speaker 2: hosted BCB on Tuesday. I thought the Randal punt was
- 23:42Speaker 2: against Buffalo. He said it was against the Giants. I
- 23:46Speaker 2: didn't look it up. I was hosting the show, so
- 23:47Speaker 2: I didn't have time to look it up. But folks
- 23:50Speaker 2: will remember that I think that Buffalo game in the
- 23:52Speaker 2: early nineties was the Fred Barnett game. If I'm not
- 23:55Speaker 2: going to look it up here, but I just remember
- 23:57Speaker 2: watching it because that game was a Buffalo and we're
- 23:59Speaker 2: talking about but Randall had a ninety one yard punt,
- 24:02Speaker 2: which is insane.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all read all right, Yeah, Yeah, that's right.
- 24:07Speaker 2: That's right.
- 24:09Speaker 1: So uh back to the injury report. Something that I
- 24:12Speaker 1: view is not great is that Landon Dickerson was listed
- 24:15Speaker 1: as limited with the calf injury. And it's not to me, Adam,
- 24:19Speaker 1: it's not great because he's just been banged up all
- 24:22Speaker 1: year and the calf is new, that happened in the game. Yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 1: you can add that to back and knee and now
- 24:27Speaker 1: calf and limited. And you know, even if you you know,
- 24:30Speaker 1: even if it trends toward playing.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I would be shocked if you don't play.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yeah. I tend to think you're right, but you know,
- 24:37Speaker 1: you know he's not one hundred percent. And now that's
- 24:38Speaker 1: another thing that he's dealing with. This is separate. This
- 24:41Speaker 1: is not the back, it's not the knee.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It's it's correct. And can I just say people are wondering, well,
- 24:45Speaker 2: what's happening to Eagles offensive line? Look at their health.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Now we don't know what's going on with my line.
- 24:49Speaker 2: We're looking into it. He's not been on the injury report,
- 24:51Speaker 2: but he's had a disappointing year. We we know about
- 24:54Speaker 2: Stein's very average. We've talked about that, and he's playing
- 24:56Speaker 2: out a position it's not working great. Jurgons has been
- 24:59Speaker 2: medical okay, injury surgeries, not himself. Dickerson has not been himself,
- 25:04Speaker 2: and Lane Johnson's hurt. So do the math folks. This
- 25:06Speaker 2: is their shelf what they want for physically because of injury,
- 25:10Speaker 2: and then they got a new guy's not been great.
- 25:11Speaker 2: That's it.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yep, that is true, so we'll say. And by the way,
- 25:16Speaker 1: someone asked me, I think it was maybe Mike guilt
- 25:17Speaker 1: during our Football at four segment. It was a great question.
- 25:20Speaker 1: I don't know if there's an answer to it. I
- 25:22Speaker 1: don't even know if a doctor could have a great
- 25:24Speaker 1: opinion on it. But has the the years and years
- 25:27Speaker 1: of tush pushes and the visions taking its toll on
- 25:31Speaker 1: the offensive line, and you know, I can't say yes,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and I can't say no. I know Jason Kelsey argued
- 25:36Speaker 1: that it's one of the safest plays in the NFL.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I kind of think that Jason's gonna argue that regardless
- 25:42Speaker 1: because he is going to articulate why. And it's true,
- 25:46Speaker 1: nobody's suffered an injury on the play. But what we
- 25:50Speaker 1: can't say is the wear and tear involved of that
- 25:53Speaker 1: play and executing it and practicing it. Maybe it's a
- 25:56Speaker 1: fair question. I just don't know, but I know he
- 26:00Speaker 1: hasn't beat up.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you have the extension of the winning
- 26:04Speaker 2: the Super Bowl into February. They're beat up post season, surgeries,
- 26:07Speaker 2: not having a normal off season. It's subjective, but there's
- 26:11Speaker 2: really no way to know why they've broken down like this,
- 26:14Speaker 2: rather than we told you folks when Dragons was drafted,
- 26:18Speaker 2: there was a concern from scouting circles about his injury
- 26:21Speaker 2: history the lower body at at Nebraska and then Dickerson.
- 26:25Speaker 2: We knew it was a medical. He would have been
- 26:27Speaker 2: a mid mid to late first round pick if not
- 26:29Speaker 2: for four different knee surgeries. I mean that you just
- 26:33Speaker 2: we're not going to talk draft now, but they're going
- 26:35Speaker 2: to have to address this in the draft, like they
- 26:36Speaker 2: have to have better dapt them and that's just they
- 26:38Speaker 2: need guys who can play and play at a higher level.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I mean, they're healthy.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Agree on the good news front, Zach Bonn and Charlie
- 26:46Speaker 1: Hugh that we just talked about him were listed as
- 26:48Speaker 1: full participants. So we will see as the week goes on.
- 26:52Speaker 1: And of course we always cover the final injury report
- 26:55Speaker 1: on the inside the Birds post pregame show with us
- 26:59Speaker 1: too and Greg co Sell. So those are Eagles injuries.
- 27:04Speaker 1: So Adam Colton Miller, what what's for the Raiders because
- 27:07Speaker 1: he's a really good left Yeah, he's a study. He
- 27:10Speaker 1: doesn't get a whole lot of pub because the Raiders
- 27:12Speaker 1: usually stink and they're all out. But he's a good player.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I'll give I'll give John Green credit because I got
- 27:17Speaker 2: to tell you Colton Millerer Colton Miller, by the way
- 27:20Speaker 2: represented by former Niners and Raiders guard Jeremy Newberry. How
- 27:24Speaker 2: about that one? Oh?
- 27:24Speaker 1: How about that?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, so so basically, Miller is a tall,
- 27:31Speaker 2: angular left tackle, was seen as not He was seen
- 27:36Speaker 2: didn't have great footwork, not functionally strong enough out of U. C.
- 27:39Speaker 2: L A. And he turned out to be just a
- 27:41Speaker 2: fantastic player the league. A lot of teams missed on him.
- 27:44Speaker 1: You're right about that, dude.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I remember he buddy of mine, who's unbelievably sharp. He
- 27:50Speaker 2: said it was the worst evaluation he's ever done in
- 27:52Speaker 2: his career. He said, I missed so bad. He goes,
- 27:53Speaker 2: I pride myself will never get anything wrong. He was
- 27:56Speaker 2: one of the five bad ones I've had in my career.
- 27:58Speaker 2: He just didn't see it any You know when guys
- 28:01Speaker 2: miss they always go back with you. What did I miss? Yes,
- 28:03Speaker 2: he said he went back and missed on that one.
- 28:05Speaker 2: But I'll give trivia question without looking who's his.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Backup, Colton Miller's backup backup.
- 28:13Speaker 2: You said you won't get it Alan Barb So it's
- 28:21Speaker 2: not Barber Barbara Barbara Stone for safe Yeah.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Stillan foreside.
- 28:27Speaker 2: He played for Stone fourth ice.
- 28:32Speaker 1: No, he played for the Chargers, didn't he?
- 28:35Speaker 2: No, No, he's this is a different guy Stone for
- 28:38Speaker 2: Scythe was drafted by the Seahawks in twenty one. He
- 28:41Speaker 2: played for Pete Carroll. He is a He is a
- 28:43Speaker 2: huge duty six to seven. And it's funny because Pete
- 28:47Speaker 2: likes everything. He runs his running backs with size, his
- 28:51Speaker 2: lineman with size corners. But look Dylan Parham who played
- 28:55Speaker 2: for a guy Ryan Silverfield at at at Memphis and
- 28:58Speaker 2: Ryan now is at Arkansas.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Yeahs to him.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I know, good for he got Yeah, good for him,
- 29:05Speaker 2: he got out of there. But their line is not great.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Jackson powers Johnson is on i R. He won't be
- 29:09Speaker 2: available for this game there. They're offensive lines in Africa.
- 29:14Speaker 2: They're not going to done a good job over the
- 29:16Speaker 2: years of developing it. But getting Colt Miller back potentially
- 29:19Speaker 2: would be great. Uh Gino Smith is as of now,
- 29:22Speaker 2: is not expected to play with right hand and right
- 29:24Speaker 2: shoulder injuries. That's why Kenny Pickett came in, and they're
- 29:27Speaker 2: expecting him to start there. They're they're basically working on
- 29:30Speaker 2: the assumption right now that Smith won't be available. Pickett's
- 29:33Speaker 2: going to get the ones. A kid I really like
- 29:35Speaker 2: is Dante Thornton. He's a rookie receiver who had a
- 29:39Speaker 2: great training camp. He's got length, he's explosive, little bit raw,
- 29:43Speaker 2: but he could run. He had a concussion he missed
- 29:45Speaker 2: last week. He's out of Tennessee. This kid could play,
- 29:48Speaker 2: but he just needs to be developed. My man Trey Tucker,
- 29:50Speaker 2: who who's explosive, played it. You see he starts with
- 29:54Speaker 2: Tyler Lockett. Pete Carroll can't quit his Seahawks. He just can't.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I know they're they're jack bets a little bit on
- 30:01Speaker 1: the field, but yeah, I mean the besh was.
- 30:04Speaker 2: But it's pronounced best, so so you know, yes, Yes,
- 30:09Speaker 2: he was severely overdrafted. He should have been. Uh. If
- 30:12Speaker 2: he turns out to be one of the best slot
- 30:13Speaker 2: receiver in the NFL, hey I'll say I was wrong.
- 30:16Speaker 2: He's a little bigger than he's a little bit bigger
- 30:19Speaker 2: than your normal slot. We'll see where he wells greg
- 30:22Speaker 2: where he's lining up mostly, but he should have been
- 30:24Speaker 2: a fourth or fifth round pick based on the people
- 30:26Speaker 2: I spoke with. It's there was some shock when he
- 30:29Speaker 2: went in the second round. I was like, wow, yeah,
- 30:32Speaker 2: kind of situation. Yes, at a TCU, but you know
- 30:35Speaker 2: what they're They're just they don't have a lot left.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Tyler Lockett won't make it. He'll be on the almost
- 30:40Speaker 2: Hall of Fame. Lest he was a really good player,
- 30:42Speaker 2: really good player.
- 30:43Speaker 1: And the Eagles can't lose this game. Man, they can't.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Well, I said that, I'm sure when we did our
- 30:48Speaker 2: pregame show hang On two years ago Cardinal game, I'm like,
- 30:52Speaker 2: they're not losing that game. I'm sure. I picked the
- 30:54Speaker 2: Eagles and I'm shruck.
- 30:56Speaker 1: This Eagles defense is so much better that even though,
- 30:59Speaker 1: like you know, maybe they maybe the offense is so
- 31:02Speaker 1: bad that he was win ten nothing, but they cannot lose.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I don't know, they just can't lose.
- 31:10Speaker 2: I would dude. The Raiders have so little to The
- 31:14Speaker 2: Titans actually have more talent than the Raiders. That's how
- 31:17Speaker 2: bad the Raiders are. They just play hard, they they genty.
- 31:22Speaker 2: It's funny. Greg got absolutely and massacred when he said
- 31:26Speaker 2: he saw Hampton was a better player than Genty. He did,
- 31:30Speaker 2: so I know it's early. I get it. Chip Kelly
- 31:33Speaker 2: was a disasters to play caller, but Genty is the
- 31:36Speaker 2: only running back I've ever seen in place to contact.
- 31:38Speaker 2: It doesn't this is the NFL. It doesn't work.
- 31:42Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. I mean I do think. I think
- 31:46Speaker 1: there are really good days ahead for him. I kind
- 31:48Speaker 1: of believe.
- 31:50Speaker 2: But you're right.
- 31:51Speaker 1: He catch the ball a little bit though, so it's
- 31:53Speaker 1: not like he's uh completely you know, reliant on just
- 31:56Speaker 1: smashing into guys and but you're right, when you play
- 31:59Speaker 1: with that kind of contact balance lever, you gotta make
- 32:01Speaker 1: guys miss too. Yeah.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Watch watch Hampton just came off ank surgeon. I know,
- 32:05Speaker 2: overall one great, but watch Hampton cod which means that's
- 32:10Speaker 2: as scouting term change of direction because for his size,
- 32:14Speaker 2: it's phenomenal. It really once he wants. It's one of
- 32:19Speaker 2: the rare times when teams give out, gave out what
- 32:21Speaker 2: they were going to do for the draft. They were
- 32:23Speaker 2: so hot on Genty. I think that's the way he
- 32:26Speaker 2: pronounces it. I assume it is, but we'll we'll figure out.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Remember Shaw Genty, the linebacker from the Bengals at one point,
- 32:34Speaker 2: yes he was. But anyway, it's just it's tough to win.
- 32:38Speaker 2: You don't have enough talent. It's just really hard. And
- 32:41Speaker 2: I'd be shocked. I'd like you, I'd be shocked. There's
- 32:43Speaker 2: no way we're picking the You're not picking the I
- 32:46Speaker 2: know you're the contraller and you're not picking the Raiders.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I will not be picking the Raiders to it.
- 32:49Speaker 2: We're actually going to fire you. By the way, I'm not.
- 32:54Speaker 2: It's funny because I said when we did our post
- 32:56Speaker 2: game show, I came this close to changing my pick
- 32:59Speaker 2: right before I had a gut feeling Gals would win.
- 33:01Speaker 2: When it came back, I'm like, here we go. See,
- 33:03Speaker 2: I'm an idiot. Why did I change it? Then I
- 33:05Speaker 2: turned out to be with three of us were right.
- 33:08Speaker 1: That's crazy. Not only that, not only that, but both
- 33:11Speaker 1: ray didn't your end. Derek Gunn picked the charge so
- 33:15Speaker 1: it was a five.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Oh I didn't know that. Oh my god.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you couldn't never have the angry YouTube comments we
- 33:22Speaker 1: were getting, Oh yeah, yeah, well no, it's funny because
- 33:25Speaker 1: that energy when they win the game and yeah, get
- 33:28Speaker 1: off the bandwagon, don't get back on it. Stuff. That way,
- 33:30Speaker 1: people think I'm still amazed that people take offence to
- 33:34Speaker 1: picks you.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Know, really, Well, no, but here's what happens. So when
- 33:38Speaker 2: I did power rankings for Fox sports dot Com, it

- 36:14Speaker 2: shit when we think of the game pack?
- 36:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just a pick. Plus it also doesn't mean
- 36:19Speaker 1: anything because you know, on any given Sundays, if you're
- 36:21Speaker 1: like me, I kind of like to look for where
- 36:23Speaker 1: I think the upset might be. It's not that I
- 36:25Speaker 1: think that the other team is always better, but man,
- 36:27Speaker 1: people get so so tribal about it.
- 36:30Speaker 2: It's coreat oh and no no no, Greg. Greg kind
- 36:33Speaker 2: of blows it off. But I mean I think about it,
- 36:36Speaker 2: I give it a thought. Greg's like I gave it
- 36:38Speaker 2: he does a sal Pale South Pale says when he
- 36:41Speaker 2: did the matchup show in my thirty seconds of tape
- 36:43Speaker 2: stud I always love when he says that.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, But ANALYSIS will say, I.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Just felt like I get a gut feeling about hurt.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Sometimes he rises to the moment when you least expect it.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I just felt and I know over all the you
- 36:58Speaker 2: can't excuse the turnovers he did there, there was some.
- 37:02Speaker 2: We'll move on. There's not much left in the show.
- 37:04Speaker 2: But I just wonder can he build on this? Yes?
- 37:09Speaker 2: Is he capable of it? Yes? Why he can't why
- 37:11Speaker 2: he doesn't do it? I don't know. But that's it's
- 37:14Speaker 2: like that who is Bigfoot? You can't figure these things out.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I love that line. I saw a line from the
- 37:20Speaker 2: late Richard Lewis I think, But yeah, I just I
- 37:23Speaker 2: don't know he has it in him. That's what I'm
- 37:25Speaker 2: gonna tell you. You could call him a middle arrow
- 37:27Speaker 2: quarterback all you want. That's fine. I'm not gonna argue
- 37:29Speaker 2: with you. But to say he's not capable, it's complete nonsense.
- 37:31Speaker 2: We pointed this out repeatedly this season. Look at that throw, Okay,
- 37:34Speaker 2: that one sucked. Look at this throw. Yeah, okay, so
- 37:39Speaker 2: he can do it.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Let me let me let's end this on it with
- 37:42Speaker 1: a really interesting stat that I saw from on because
- 37:46Speaker 1: we were just talking about a little bit. Do you
- 37:47Speaker 1: know Tony holsman Escuerino from NFL. Uh, he's an NFL researcher.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I'm fun a lot those guys not. I may, but
- 37:54Speaker 2: I don't know. Go ahead.
- 37:55Speaker 1: His Twitter handle or ex handle is at NFL Underscore
- 37:59Speaker 1: researcher and his dad is. Only two NFL players have
- 38:03Speaker 1: fifty or more carries this year that have gone for
- 38:05Speaker 1: zero and negative yards or negative yards zero or negative yards.
- 38:10Speaker 1: This season, only two players have fifty or more carries.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Do you want to guess which two players those are?
- 38:18Speaker 2: Genty? Yep, because he's got a bad year, so I'm
- 38:22Speaker 2: not surprised genty and the guy he's playing against.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Yes, take one.
- 38:29Speaker 2: See this is and and the reason why I know
- 38:32Speaker 2: because they're so bad. But I know, you can't run
- 38:34Speaker 2: every off tackle. Last week outside zone they did great.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Inside forget they can't. They literally if the defense back
- 38:43Speaker 2: their lineman off ten yards, they still would get a
- 38:45Speaker 2: yard on it or zero. They just can't run inside
- 38:47Speaker 2: because these guys physically can't do it.
- 38:49Speaker 1: They can't, but I don't know what you makes makes
- 38:52Speaker 1: for a whole lot of passing in store on Sunday
- 38:54Speaker 1: with it. Now, both these teams, well, the Eagles still
- 38:56Speaker 1: try to run some AFC T people I know about
- 39:00Speaker 1: the Raiders and they're like, even for Pete, they don't
- 39:02Speaker 1: run the way you think that they would run. So
- 39:05Speaker 1: maybe they'll get back to that they if they have luck,
- 39:07Speaker 1: we'll say good luck. Yeah, all right, that is gonna
- 39:10Speaker 1: do it for this episode of Inside the Birds of
- 39:11Speaker 1: the Leading Podcast and the Eagles Intel. As always, we
- 39:14Speaker 1: thank you for flying with us Inside Theubbirds
