- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, ah huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 0:07Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me
- 0:10Speaker 1: now one and only see if Harvey got a radio show. Man.
- 0:15Speaker 1: God is in the blessing business. I'm in the receiving line. Man.
- 0:21Speaker 1: That's a good feeling. I thank God for waking me
- 0:25Speaker 1: up in the mornings. I really really do. I thank
- 0:28Speaker 1: God for the spirit that he wakes me up with
- 0:31Speaker 1: because I finally, but I finally figured it out. Such
- 0:36Speaker 1: a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. The fact
- 0:38Speaker 1: that you are up today, the fact that you just
- 0:41Speaker 1: got off working, you driving home, the fact that you
- 0:44Speaker 1: got a job to come home from, the fact that
- 0:46Speaker 1: you got a job to wake up too. Whatever it is,
- 0:50Speaker 1: the fact that you can see, think, here, smell, walk, talk, rhyme, reason,
- 0:57Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's a blessing. Man was talking to
- 1:00Speaker 1: a partner of mine last night, and an analogy came
- 1:04Speaker 1: to me last night of what my life has been
- 1:06Speaker 1: like just going over my story with a friend of
- 1:09Speaker 1: mine of all some of the things I had gone through,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and he never knew it because he said, man, you
- 1:14Speaker 1: never told me that we were just talking. One of
- 1:18Speaker 1: the things I remember, and it's kind of equated to
- 1:21Speaker 1: my life. Was when I was a little boy and
- 1:26Speaker 1: she go to the store with my mom and she
- 1:30Speaker 1: would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now, for those
- 1:34Speaker 1: of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in a box. There
- 1:38Speaker 1: are no instructions. It just comes in a box and
- 1:43Speaker 1: it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in a
- 1:46Speaker 1: pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces together
- 1:51Speaker 1: until it looks like the picture that's on the cover
- 1:55Speaker 1: of the box. That's as simple as it is. Here
- 2:01Speaker 1: is the deal. I would select a jigsaw puzzle based
- 2:08Speaker 1: on the picture that I liked and if I thought
- 2:14Speaker 1: I could do it. Now, if the picture looked too crazy,
- 2:19Speaker 1: if it looked too intricate, I didn't want that puzzle,
- 2:23Speaker 1: you know. And the thing was, back in the day
- 2:25Speaker 1: you got a jigsaw puzzle, you got one hundred piece puzzles,
- 2:28Speaker 1: four hundred piece puzzles. Man, then they say a thousand
- 2:32Speaker 1: piece puzzle. You go ooo. So those were a little
- 2:36Speaker 1: difficult for me when I was a little boy, so
- 2:39Speaker 1: I didn't want that. As I got a little bit older,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I had more challenging puzzles, you know. Four fifty five
- 2:48Speaker 1: hundred piece puzzles, but I always picked a picture of
- 2:54Speaker 1: something I liked. So it's very simple. You get the
- 2:57Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, you get it home, you open it up,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you dump it out on the table. You flip all
- 3:03Speaker 1: the pieces over so you can see them, and then
- 3:07Speaker 1: I would try to sort them based on the colors
- 3:10Speaker 1: on the box. If it was like a black section,
- 3:13Speaker 1: I'd take all the black pieces and slide them over there.
- 3:16Speaker 1: It was some flowers, I'd try to find all the
- 3:19Speaker 1: pictures with little jigsaw pieces with the little floor, and
- 3:22Speaker 1: I separate them and then I start putting it together.
- 3:25Speaker 1: And the way I started was i'd try to build
- 3:27Speaker 1: a border first, because I knew all the straight edges
- 3:31Speaker 1: had to be side by side at one point. And
- 3:34Speaker 1: it was funny, man, because it's related to my life.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I would start putting the pieces together of the picture
- 3:42Speaker 1: I saw that I liked, and that would be my picture.
- 3:47Speaker 1: A lot of people didn't like jigsaw puzzles. As a
- 3:51Speaker 1: matter of fact, none of the boys on the street
- 3:54Speaker 1: liked jigsaw puzzles but me, because they just didn't want
- 3:58Speaker 1: to go through the intricate d tails of figuring that out.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Really go outside and run or something like that. And
- 4:04Speaker 1: so what happened was, as I got older, I wanted
- 4:09Speaker 1: more difficult and challenging puzzles, but I wouldn't go too far.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I wanted some nice stuff to happen. I had a
- 4:16Speaker 1: picture of what I wanted for my life, but I
- 4:19Speaker 1: didn't want to go too far because it was so
- 4:22Speaker 1: challenging and difficult. I couldn't see myself with all of that,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and I didn't have the time, the knowledge, the expertise
- 4:30Speaker 1: to figuring all the intricate details. And I discovered something
- 4:35Speaker 1: when I was talking last night. That's what happens in
- 4:39Speaker 1: life to a lot of people. You get bogged down
- 4:43Speaker 1: with the details of coming up and trying to create
- 4:45Speaker 1: the picture that you want for yourself. You put it
- 4:48Speaker 1: to the side, you say, oh, that puzzles are crazy.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Next thing, you know, you crumb it up and put
- 4:53Speaker 1: it back in the box. So you go halfway and
- 4:55Speaker 1: you get stuck, and you get to the part where
- 4:57Speaker 1: it ain't a lot of different colors. It's all the same,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and that's a little bit more challenging. So that may
- 5:02Speaker 1: stop you. But it's somewhere in the jigsaw puzzle that
- 5:06Speaker 1: it gets very difficult and challenging the bigger the picture
- 5:09Speaker 1: you want, but then what all happened in your life.
- 5:14Speaker 1: It's just like what happened in the jigsaw. Once you
- 5:18Speaker 1: get comfortable and you don't mind the challenge, you could
- 5:23Speaker 1: get a bigger picture. But here's the key to it, though,
- 5:27Speaker 1: if you put God in your mix, See, the picture
- 5:31Speaker 1: that I saw for myself as a boy is not
- 5:34Speaker 1: the picture that has happened to me as a man.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Because along the way from boyhood to manhood, from the
- 5:42Speaker 1: time I was telling you understand what happened along the
- 5:46Speaker 1: ride in there was I started putting God in the mix.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And so now the picture that I have now is
- 5:54Speaker 1: not the picture I saw. It's the picture that God saw.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So what I'm saying this analogy is the picture you
- 6:02Speaker 1: have may be difficult to complete, but if you were
- 6:07Speaker 1: to include God in your life, put God in your
- 6:11Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, God will not only help you complete the puzzle,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and he gonna add some pieces, he gonna do some favors,
- 6:20Speaker 1: he gonna show some mercy, and you gonna look up
- 6:23Speaker 1: and the picture that you're able to end up with
- 6:25Speaker 1: will be totally different and much more complete, much more beautiful.
- 6:30Speaker 1: A bigger picture than the one you had. Because there's
- 6:33Speaker 1: no way that I could have sought a life that
- 6:35Speaker 1: I have today back when I was a boy. And
- 6:39Speaker 1: it amazes me when I hear people say I always
- 6:41Speaker 1: saw this for myself. Ah, I didn't do that. I
- 6:44Speaker 1: didn't quite see this for myself. I don't know how
- 6:47Speaker 1: you can have the ability to see what God really
- 6:50Speaker 1: has for you. But man, he's a master for jigsaw. Man,
- 6:54Speaker 1: he's an incredible puzzle completed. So if you got a
- 6:58Speaker 1: puzzle that's challenging to you, maybe you need to see
- 7:01Speaker 1: what's the picture that God has for your life. If
- 7:04Speaker 1: God were in your life, if you complete it to puzzle,
- 7:09Speaker 1: what would it look like. It'll be a far more
- 7:13Speaker 1: extensive puzzle, and it would be a far more beautiful
- 7:16Speaker 1: piece of scenery than you could have ever imagined. Tears
- 7:20Speaker 1: come in my eyes because I can't believe God bought
- 7:24Speaker 1: me this far. I can't believe that when I opened
- 7:27Speaker 1: up and accepted him and started talking to him, that
- 7:29Speaker 1: he would add all these pieceles to my jigsaw puzzle,
- 7:33Speaker 1: and my jigsaw puzzle would look like this. And I
- 7:36Speaker 1: can tell you I ain't got a whole lot to
- 7:38Speaker 1: do with what out and turned into. It's mostly favor
- 7:42Speaker 1: and blessings and grace and mercy of God. And I
- 7:45Speaker 1: looked up and I just got a much bigger jigsaw
- 7:48Speaker 1: puzzle completed. And guess what, He ain't through with me yet.
- 7:52Speaker 1: That's what's amazing and exciting about a relationship with God.
- 7:56Speaker 1: God could take your jigsaw puzzle and fix it into
