- 0:17Speaker 2: Jobs, but what's going on? Everybody? I'm the one, the
- 0:23Speaker 2: only the w O. Okay, I joined with my normal
- 0:26Speaker 2: cast here. We got my right hand man, mister Cole Robbie.
- 0:30Speaker 3: I'm more of a left hand man whatever.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I'm here and everybody's a favorite red shirt dexter.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Hello everybody, so.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Real quick recap last week, My bad. I didn't know
- 0:43Speaker 2: I was going to have audio issues, but hopefully those
- 0:46Speaker 2: are all cleared up. I did record a podcast last
- 0:49Speaker 2: night for Arcan's Corner and everything turned out okay. Hopefully
- 0:54Speaker 2: this one does too. Fingers crossed because I didn't hear
- 1:01Speaker 2: it last time, and I definitely don't hear it now.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah you sound You sound good and clear, maybe better
- 1:09Speaker 3: than ever right.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Now, better than ever, better than ever before.
- 1:16Speaker 3: A kesha, Mmm, sorry we pushed her off a cliff.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah no, you can't push you cash off cliff because
- 1:24Speaker 2: she has spells and isn't she flying in her picture?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Isn't she like a witch?
- 1:30Speaker 3: I don't think she can witch esque. Maybe she can
- 1:35Speaker 3: levitate a little I don't know about like I don't.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I can't witches fly on brooms.
- 1:41Speaker 4: That's I don't know if she's got one.
- 1:44Speaker 2: That's that's that's that's misinformation, share fake news, fake news,
- 1:50Speaker 2: which is cannot fly. She's got the hat for it,
- 1:52Speaker 2: so I just kind.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Of get it.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Also put some magical cinder blocks on her feet when
- 1:59Speaker 3: we threw her off the cliff.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So got it. The old mob treatment. I see, yeah, yep, yep.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I don't understand your hate for her.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Lindaway was watching, but also Lindaway's blind, so that was
- 2:13Speaker 3: her happened.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Hold on, can he be watching if he's blind. Let's
- 2:18Speaker 2: talk about the philosophy behind that.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Well, that's that's Linda Way's that's how she has plausible deniability.
- 2:27Speaker 3: When the Fawness threw you a Kesha off the cliff.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I can't wait till they release release another Yizmeir hero
- 2:36Speaker 2: that's worse than Akesha, and just you're like you, just
- 2:39Speaker 2: like I. All I hear now from now on is
- 2:42Speaker 2: like Cole wishing for the Good Old Day is just
- 2:45Speaker 2: shitty Akesha.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I'll just throw that one off a cliff too.
- 2:50Speaker 2: You can't throw all of them off a cliff. It's
- 2:52Speaker 2: not how any of this works.
- 2:55Speaker 3: If I meme it, it becomes real.
- 2:56Speaker 2: It's not true at all. I woke up this morning
- 3:01Speaker 2: to to a nice dm of being told I'm no
- 3:08Speaker 2: longer allowed to play at Kesha, who is now renamed
- 3:13Speaker 2: Alisha by the way, because Siri said so, I don't
- 3:18Speaker 2: make up the rules. Siri does, guys, so you know,
- 3:22Speaker 2: it just is what it is. But we got some
- 3:25Speaker 2: stuff to go over today, right, guys. Tumult Champs coming up. Yes,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I'm so glad all of you are as excited as
- 3:34Speaker 2: I am about the Tumult Champs. And what's sad is
- 3:37Speaker 2: you guys will probably have an opportunity to play in them.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I will not.
- 3:40Speaker 3: You will. You will With the amount of stores that
- 3:43Speaker 3: are around you that are hosting altered there's going to
- 3:47Speaker 3: be a Tumult Championship.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I know the one that I was about
- 3:51Speaker 2: to go to. Is like, we're switching our day and
- 3:52Speaker 2: I'm like, you bastards, that's the one day I was
- 3:54Speaker 2: able to come. But we'll see what happens. I'll try something.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I gotta get my Akesha deck up and rolling.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna make a deck that works because I
- 4:05Speaker 5: don't have any right I have. I don't even know
- 4:07Speaker 5: if I'll be able to make it to a mult
- 4:08Speaker 5: championship because they're all during all of my exam season.
- 4:13Speaker 2: That's rough. I would definitely tell you take your exams,
- 4:17Speaker 2: but maybe skip one to go to that's a much
- 4:20Speaker 2: chimp school is not important. Nobody actually asks your GPA.
- 4:24Speaker 2: They just don't know if you graduated.
- 4:26Speaker 4: This is true.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So actually that's not true. I was just asked for
- 4:30Speaker 2: my GPA not too long ago on a job in
- 4:32Speaker 2: refiew M. We remember, right, I'm well, you guys are
- 4:40Speaker 2: asking a lot I have. Actually, you know, it's weird.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I got asked for references not too long ago. I
- 4:45Speaker 2: don't think i'd given references for a job in I
- 4:49Speaker 2: couldn't even tell you how long it's been. Normally you
- 4:51Speaker 2: just submit your resume and go from there.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yep, yeah, I took them off my resume forever ago.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I am looking at the middle of Lake Michigan where
- 5:03Speaker 3: you live.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And I do not live in the middle of Lake Michigan, sir.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I do not see any Tumult champs posted yet. I
- 5:12Speaker 3: think there's actually only one in the US that it
- 5:17Speaker 3: is already posted. But we we know of the ones
- 5:22Speaker 3: that are being planned around Texas, and so we'll.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Let me see. I'm gonna I just board game barristers.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I hate that place.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Game Gamers Guild North Phoenix has one. Okay, so yeah
- 5:34Speaker 3: there there's more and more popping up Tempe. That's Gamer
- 5:38Speaker 3: Gamers Guild Tempe.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah, great, Gifted Games. I've been to Gifted Games.
- 5:43Speaker 2: That's quite a that's quite a drive. Probably won't be
- 5:46Speaker 2: going there.
- 5:49Speaker 3: We're uh, before we dive into all the ins and outs. Yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 3: I'm gonna do a little recap of what the Tumult
- 5:59Speaker 3: Championship entails in case you don't already know.
- 6:04Speaker 2: So for those of you who have been living under
- 6:06Speaker 2: a rock, which I'm gonna guess is not any of
- 6:08Speaker 2: you since you're listening to this show, but it is
- 6:13Speaker 2: a faction based event. Winning factions unlock. Winning factions unlock.
- 6:20Speaker 2: When a player wins an event and the title of
- 6:23Speaker 2: Tumult Champion, their deck faction games one point. By the
- 6:26Speaker 2: end of the Kurracomi Community event, the faction with the
- 6:30Speaker 2: most points will unlock a Kiracomi unbound common and rare
- 6:34Speaker 2: card in design in their faction.
- 6:39Speaker 3: So the big the big thing here is who unlocks
- 6:47Speaker 3: the Karakomi from the ice is going to be who
- 6:52Speaker 3: wins the Tumult Championship. Action Wise, on the AMA, they
- 7:00Speaker 3: a little further into talk about the card. Everyone will
- 7:06Speaker 3: get copies of the card unlocked, even if you didn't
- 7:10Speaker 3: play in the event. Well, they will be designed based
- 7:15Speaker 3: on the winning faction. I guess I was thinking. I
- 7:22Speaker 3: was wondering if there would be a second place, but
- 7:24Speaker 3: based on this, it looks like it's a first or bust.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So yeah, like, uh, just like the only card that's
- 7:34Speaker 2: not going to have like an offshoot, Like every card
- 7:36Speaker 2: has like a common and a rare and then the
- 7:39Speaker 2: faction shifted one.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yeah, let me do.
- 7:42Speaker 2: A card that's not faction shifted.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I know that it'll be the one card that doesn't
- 7:47Speaker 3: have uniques.
- 7:49Speaker 4: There aren't uniques, but it should have a common.
- 7:53Speaker 5: And a rare in the winning faction, and then the
- 7:56Speaker 5: second place faction gets the off faction rare.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Okay, that's what I thought. I thought there was the
- 8:01Speaker 3: second place, but I know the second place gets all factionery.
- 8:05Speaker 4: That's what the second place faction.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Nobody cares about that. All we care about is the
- 8:09Speaker 2: sweet sweet loot, right, what are you gonna get? So
- 8:14Speaker 2: everybody cares about this is why we're showing up. What
- 8:19Speaker 2: can you win? Well, you can win a sweet sweet playmat.
- 8:23Speaker 2: It's actually a pretty dope play Matt. I do like
- 8:25Speaker 2: it looks cool, looks nice. Got the Altered Trial by Frost.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Top eight will walk away with a foil set of
- 8:38Speaker 2: adventure trial card. I'm sorry, try By FoST foil adventure cards.
- 8:42Speaker 2: They're a little bit different, they're a little bit icier,
- 8:45Speaker 2: and they're in foil. We all love foils. Everyone loves foils, right.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Foils are great, thank you, and they're even thicker than
- 8:55Speaker 3: the thick cards that one.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Two millimeters thick. Some thicky boys. And then with Altered,
- 9:05Speaker 2: we also want to reward players choosing to lead their
- 9:07Speaker 2: favorite factions to the top to face the most powerful
- 9:11Speaker 2: archetypes out there reach tulmult Championship Event. The highest ranking
- 9:15Speaker 2: player with each faction will receive an oversized Faction Scout
- 9:19Speaker 2: promo card. Each of these cards feature a new design
- 9:23Speaker 2: featuring the six alternate illustrations from the season two promo boosters.
- 9:28Speaker 2: With this bonus reward, we hope to see players bring
- 9:30Speaker 2: the spiciest bruise to rival the strongest decks, so all
- 9:37Speaker 2: the scouts will It's an oversized card ninety by one
- 9:41Speaker 2: hundred and twenty six millimeters oversized promo card, basically double
- 9:45Speaker 2: the size. I want a big chunker, right, Yeah, does
- 9:49Speaker 2: ever remember those?
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah? They had those at packs unplugged for the winners
- 9:57Speaker 3: for the constructed events and then the two v two events,
- 10:02Speaker 3: and it was based around the winners got a huge
- 10:08Speaker 3: card of the new set and they got to pick
- 10:11Speaker 3: whether to reveal it or not. It was a lot
- 10:15Speaker 3: of fun because we kept trolling people that weren't there
- 10:20Speaker 3: by like revealing small parts of it or showing a
- 10:24Speaker 3: picture super zoomed out. It was a lot of fun.
- 10:26Speaker 2: So now what you're telling me to get a card
- 10:31Speaker 2: to reveal, we just have to go win stuff. We
- 10:36Speaker 2: don't have to be this, We don't have to be
- 10:38Speaker 2: the best podcast out there. Suckers thought we were all
- 10:41Speaker 2: gonna We're gonna go about this the other way. We're
- 10:45Speaker 2: gonna go win some things and reveal some stuff, right, Yep.
- 10:49Speaker 2: That's how.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Hacks East is right before set three is released. But
- 10:56Speaker 3: we do not know quite yet what is going to
- 11:02Speaker 3: be revealed there or what is what the events are
- 11:07Speaker 3: going to be. But you know, as soon as I
- 11:11Speaker 3: find out everyone here or in the Discord will know
- 11:15Speaker 3: about it as well.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Actually, what will happen for about three or four weeks,
- 11:19Speaker 2: Cole Robbie will leave like little tidbits, right, not enough
- 11:24Speaker 2: to actually reveal anything, but just to get your interest,
- 11:28Speaker 2: and then he might reveal something eventually. That's how Coold
- 11:33Speaker 2: does stuff.
- 11:35Speaker 3: I could do that right now. If you really want.
- 11:37Speaker 2: It, well, have at it, sir, I'm ready.
- 11:40Speaker 3: I know that in the boss deck at Packs East
- 11:44Speaker 3: there will be set three cards, and I know that
- 11:50Speaker 3: Cary of Casual Alterations has a new token card coming out,
- 11:58Speaker 3: and I believe it be at Packs East. Yeah, there's
- 12:03Speaker 3: just there's your little tidbits.
- 12:05Speaker 2: What will be our cosplayers that will be running these
- 12:09Speaker 2: these uh boss x.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I think it will just be low key, but not
- 12:16Speaker 3: not sure yet.
- 12:21Speaker 2: It might.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I think Packs East is a little bit smaller of
- 12:25Speaker 3: an event compared to PAX Unplugged when it.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Comes relatively size.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, when it comes to TCGs, I think PAS is
- 12:34Speaker 3: more about the video games and Unplugged has more of
- 12:37Speaker 3: a TCG presence.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Really interesting, Okay, that's that's the vibe I get.
- 12:44Speaker 3: At least the hiring process has been a little different,
- 12:49Speaker 3: not as uh, I don't know I don't know a
- 12:53Speaker 3: good way to put it, not as grand, I guess,
- 12:57Speaker 3: and then the herks that they normally do. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 3: it's like not through like an official like convention staff
- 13:06Speaker 3: in company, kind of run by a company that does
- 13:11Speaker 3: more of lower key side like event stuff and whatnot.
- 13:17Speaker 2: So are they it is Altered going to be at
- 13:22Speaker 2: I know this is weird, but I know a lot
- 13:23Speaker 2: of TCGs do do things at it. Adepticon hol On.
- 13:28Speaker 2: No adepticon for Altered.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah, no Adepticon for Altered. I know that Star Wars
- 13:37Speaker 3: Unlimited is going.
- 13:38Speaker 2: To FFG, so that makes kind of makes sense since
- 13:41Speaker 2: they also probably are doing Legion and X Wing and Armata.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Yep, yep. So I think right now Altered is more
- 13:51Speaker 3: on the low key side of convention.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I get it.
- 13:58Speaker 3: So I know for sure Packs East, Justin and Loki
- 14:02Speaker 3: will be there, and then everything else is kind of
- 14:07Speaker 3: still up in the air. Okay, could probably bet on
- 14:11Speaker 3: gen Con, but it's not official yet.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So man, you know they like to do like this
- 14:17Speaker 2: whole not official thing. It's kind of it kind of
- 14:19Speaker 2: drives me nuts.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Man. If you if you ever seen behind the scenes
- 14:23Speaker 3: of convention planning, it's a it's.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I know it's a nightmare right like, but like one
- 14:30Speaker 2: of those things, Like it's one of those things where
- 14:32Speaker 2: like you should have known like six months ago whether
- 14:37Speaker 2: you're going to be a gen con or not.
- 14:39Speaker 3: No, yeah, maybe they like gen con spots are filled
- 14:46Speaker 3: right Like it's Asthma Day, so you know, mmmm, that's there.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I always have to remember it's Asthma Day.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah. I think Justin mostly deals with the altered stuff,
- 15:03Speaker 3: but I think it's somewhat still tied to whatever Asthma
- 15:08Speaker 3: Day does because it's kind of in the same area
- 15:13Speaker 3: in the convention and whatnot. But but after we went
- 15:18Speaker 3: over the quick recap, I realized I kind of put
- 15:21Speaker 3: these questions out of order.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I'll let you read the order.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm switching it right now because I realized that
- 15:34Speaker 3: we talked about what's at stake or the winning factions,
- 15:42Speaker 3: and not only is it that this card is going
- 15:45Speaker 3: to be unlocked for the faction, but it is also
- 15:49Speaker 3: going to transfer over into the story. And I know
- 15:54Speaker 3: I keep saying that I need to do a quick
- 15:58Speaker 3: lower intro or the Lord tidbit on an episode as
- 16:03Speaker 3: soon as possible. I put the Karakomi Uh story in
- 16:10Speaker 3: or after this because it's fitting. So the question is
- 16:16Speaker 3: who are you representing and what kind of deck are
- 16:20Speaker 3: you looking to bring? Now, I want I want to
- 16:24Speaker 3: say a lot of people are gonna just be like,
- 16:28Speaker 3: I'm gonna bring whatever wins. I'm saying you you should
- 16:32Speaker 3: bring what faction you want to represent, because you gotta
- 16:36Speaker 3: remember it reflects in the story and it unlocks the card.
- 16:43Speaker 3: And my my hypothesis is this event is gonna be
- 16:49Speaker 3: a little less about super meta competitive and is going
- 16:55Speaker 3: to be more about popular just because of you know,
- 16:59Speaker 3: it's a smaller yelevant. It's going to be spread out
- 17:02Speaker 3: through the country at local game stores. A lot of
- 17:07Speaker 3: playgroups at lgs's are not like your hyper competitive that
- 17:11Speaker 3: are playing on arena in BGA or traveling to like
- 17:16Speaker 3: gen Con for big events.
- 17:19Speaker 2: You've clearly never met my playgroup at my local.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I mean, they exist, but I'm just saying a wide percentage,
- 17:29Speaker 3: you know.
- 17:32Speaker 2: All right, So what I mean honestly right, I'd stick
- 17:38Speaker 2: with them. I would stick with my Lyra. I might
- 17:44Speaker 2: bring to Venka, but I mean it's probably it's going
- 17:46Speaker 2: to be Lyra. That's what I would bring.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Personally, So I'm likely going to bring Tasia since I've
- 17:57Speaker 5: been playing with that a little bit and it's been
- 17:59Speaker 5: doing fine, and you know, we're seeing some Tasia win
- 18:02Speaker 5: at tournaments and stuff. But you know, if the meta
- 18:06Speaker 5: shifts a little bit towards more of Sigi or a faunas,
- 18:09Speaker 5: I would definitely switch to what I think would be
- 18:11Speaker 5: more likely to wine.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Here's here's what I would tell a lot of people,
- 18:17Speaker 2: right playing the meta doesn't always go the way you think. Yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 2: it's it's it's a fantastic idea. But if you ain't
- 18:30Speaker 2: crunching games right with what's meta, the chances of you
- 18:35Speaker 2: showing up with just a meta deck and doing well
- 18:40Speaker 2: probably ain't gonna go the way you want it to. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 2: I know, especially if you've been crunching games with you know,
- 18:48Speaker 2: for like you for the Tasia you've been you've been rocky,
- 18:51Speaker 2: you haven't. I mean, when's the last time you played artists?
- 18:54Speaker 4: Been a while? Probably like a month?
- 18:57Speaker 2: A month? Okay? So like, I mean, honestly, how comfortable
- 19:02Speaker 2: would you feel rocking and Ortis deck right now?
- 19:06Speaker 3: I would be fine.
- 19:06Speaker 5: I mean, I'm missing Bobby y Aga rares and some
- 19:09Speaker 5: other rares and then I'm also missing some rares that
- 19:12Speaker 5: you definitely need for a fondness which is hesitant to.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Cheap. Right, yeah, I mean you ain't. You could. You
- 19:23Speaker 2: could get those cards and a handful of days relatively inexpensively, right,
- 19:32Speaker 2: But like, you got to know the play styles, You
- 19:35Speaker 2: gotta know the matchups, you gotta know kind of what
- 19:38Speaker 2: you're doing, right, I don't know that I could rock
- 19:44Speaker 2: a Yizmeir deck the way I could rock a Fen deck, right, Yeah,
- 19:49Speaker 2: even though Fenn might not be the most meta thing
- 19:52Speaker 2: in the world, still not bad meta, but I think
- 19:57Speaker 2: I would just do better with Fenn because that's that'
- 20:00Speaker 2: where I've rocked by most games.
- 20:03Speaker 3: The thing, the thing you're forgetting is playing a CIGGI
- 20:06Speaker 3: deck is basically like just riding one of those Fisher
- 20:10Speaker 3: Price jeeps.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it just goes does itself.
- 20:15Speaker 3: You don't need to do much else, So.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Maybe you can probably switch back. Maybe I used a
- 20:22Speaker 2: bad example, right, No.
- 20:25Speaker 3: No, you're you're your point is very very valid.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Point artists bad bad bad example, right, fair enough, I'll
- 20:34Speaker 2: give you that. But I I think the I think
- 20:38Speaker 2: the idea of of what I'm saying is still still applies.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and I am glad to see Dexter coming over
- 20:48Speaker 3: to the Light and.
- 20:50Speaker 2: The lightide side.
- 20:53Speaker 3: As as for meta, I'd say, right now, any any
- 21:00Speaker 3: faction is possible. If I had to pick one that
- 21:05Speaker 3: is not doing very well in meta right m yeah, unfortunately,
- 21:10Speaker 3: it would be Axiom. But I think there is a
- 21:15Speaker 3: lot there that people just haven't taken to tournaments yet.
- 21:20Speaker 3: But otherwise you have one week where it's Siggy and
- 21:23Speaker 3: a faunas top, the next week you have Tajo winning.
- 21:27Speaker 3: The week before that was Fenn was winning. So I
- 21:31Speaker 3: don't think there's necessarily a very clear meta winner when
- 21:39Speaker 3: it comes to a hero right now, as much so
- 21:43Speaker 3: as there was before the Robin hoodner Like, I was
- 21:48Speaker 3: listening to one of the other newer podcasts on the scene,
- 21:53Speaker 3: Hero's Guide to Sgartha, and they were kind of recapping
- 21:58Speaker 3: the Gamers Guild tournament that happened last year before the
- 22:02Speaker 3: Robin Hood Nerve, and even that a small United States
- 22:07Speaker 3: tournament of like fifty four people, the top four, three
- 22:13Speaker 3: of them were wau.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yep and now he's nowhere to be found.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think I think the Meda is in
- 22:21Speaker 3: a really good place right now. It's very interesting when
- 22:25Speaker 3: people are like, oh, Siggy is the only one topping
- 22:28Speaker 3: the meta, or this person is not in the meta,
- 22:32Speaker 3: I think maybe they pulled up or watched one tournament
- 22:37Speaker 3: and saw Siggy win and that was it. Because I
- 22:40Speaker 3: think it's I think it varies pretty well right now.
- 22:45Speaker 3: As for me, not a surprise. I am invested more
- 22:52Speaker 3: in the representation of my faction and winning for the glory,
- 23:00Speaker 3: and so I'll be playing Muna instead of fooling around
- 23:07Speaker 3: like I do very often. I think, as of now,
- 23:12Speaker 3: I am going to bring a very classic Tasia deck,
- 23:20Speaker 3: and right now I'm just kind of making some decisions
- 23:23Speaker 3: between different uniques and then different spells. I actually really
- 23:30Speaker 3: do like so and I think it's good. But it
- 23:35Speaker 3: might be the first one on my chopping block depending
- 23:40Speaker 3: and I might are well, I not that I might.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I am rotating back to the spindle Muna Bastian. Yeah.
- 23:51Speaker 3: I think there also might have been enough time that
- 23:53Speaker 3: I might throw in some hydras.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Maybe you've gotten too far. You've got too far, you
- 24:02Speaker 2: think so. No, I honestly think anything right now is
- 24:07Speaker 2: it's It's pretty open. I don't think anything is like
- 24:12Speaker 2: too crazy, except unless you're an axiom player. Sorry, you
- 24:18Speaker 2: just you got the you got the bum end of
- 24:21Speaker 2: the stick. I don't really know what I tell you, Like
- 24:25Speaker 2: somebody you uh at alter control.
- 24:31Speaker 3: I don't even think it's that. I think it's just
- 24:33Speaker 3: so complex that it's not super consistent.
- 24:39Speaker 2: And no, no, no, I don't think it's not enough complex
- 24:43Speaker 2: it's not consistent. I just think, have you seen.
- 24:46Speaker 3: The axiom cycle decks? If that's not complex, then I
- 24:49Speaker 3: don't even want to.
- 24:50Speaker 2: See it is. But like it's it's like it's one
- 24:54Speaker 2: of those things, right. Every game has this where it's like, man,
- 24:58Speaker 2: if I get X and Y and Z an elemento
- 25:00Speaker 2: pe altogether, man, I just bust right. But it's but
- 25:05Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, how but card games are about consistency,
- 25:09Speaker 2: not yep, not about like the not about Christmas Land, right,
- 25:14Speaker 2: I talk about this In almost every card game there's
- 25:17Speaker 2: this Christmas Land where everybody's like, man, but if this happens,
- 25:22Speaker 2: all I need is these ten cards to fall perfectly
- 25:25Speaker 2: right in a roll. I just win the game. It's like, yeah, that,
- 25:28Speaker 2: but how cow consistently can you do that? Well? I
- 25:31Speaker 2: mean yeah, you know twenty five percent of the time,
- 25:34Speaker 2: And it's like yeah, that's cool and all, but like
- 25:37Speaker 2: twenty five percent, that's that's not very good. Oh no,
- 25:41Speaker 2: it's fine, it's totally fine. You know. It's funny. We
- 25:44Speaker 2: got we got this in key Forge right now. It's
- 25:46Speaker 2: the new thing right now in Keyfge right now. Is
- 25:51Speaker 2: it's a card that basically it shuts down your opponent
- 25:55Speaker 2: and if you can find one and then find a
- 25:58Speaker 2: double that is that is house and ants, you basically
- 26:01Speaker 2: win the game because your opponent can never play cards again.
- 26:05Speaker 2: The problem is, while you're doing all this stuff to
- 26:07Speaker 2: set up your combo, your opponent's already won the game
- 26:11Speaker 2: because they didn't care about your stupid combo. They're just like, yeah,
- 26:15Speaker 2: I'm just gonna go. So like you're still there and
- 26:19Speaker 2: they're like, yeah, I already already won, and then they
- 26:21Speaker 2: just kind of like leave, right, So it's like, but
- 26:25Speaker 2: hold on, I just need seven more turns.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Yeah. What's what's really interesting is I'm kind of diving
- 26:31Speaker 3: into it now because I had a I had a
- 26:34Speaker 3: really shitty night at a wall this week. I had
- 26:38Speaker 3: a deck. It's a version of my Asia deck that
- 26:42Speaker 3: I've been working on and in practice in arena, I
- 26:46Speaker 3: was four and zero like, didn't lose a game, so
- 26:50Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, cool, maybe all co like, you know,
- 26:56Speaker 3: four in two if I'm lucky in a wall. No,
- 27:00Speaker 3: I started zero in three and then trupped and my
- 27:05Speaker 3: first matchup was against a Traced. To be fair, I
- 27:10Speaker 3: think I sent you guys the unique they had, didn't I.
- 27:16Speaker 2: No, I don't think you do.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I will grab it for the audience here in Discord.
- 27:23Speaker 3: But now I'm looking at it, and they did not
- 27:25Speaker 3: place top sixteen at that event, so I'm just kind
- 27:29Speaker 3: of wondering, like I should go back through and figure
- 27:33Speaker 3: out it's, yeah, this thing is insane, and then love habit.
- 27:40Speaker 3: They have the the Ororo Boros fashion, so I got
- 27:45Speaker 3: rid of it once, but that landmark basically lets you
- 27:49Speaker 3: cycle through your entire deck, so it came right back
- 27:53Speaker 3: not long after. Okay, But then I was also looking
- 27:58Speaker 3: at just seeing how Axiom is doing in general, and
- 28:02Speaker 3: there have been a couple placements this month and a
- 28:09Speaker 3: little last month where two of them are actually in
- 28:15Speaker 3: the no Unique Championship. In the let me go to
- 28:20Speaker 3: that one specifically, in the No Unique Championship, there was
- 28:25Speaker 3: a Traced and a Sierra that went four into so
- 28:30Speaker 3: eleventh and twelfth place in the top sixteen, so middle
- 28:37Speaker 3: of the pack. But I think there is a path
- 28:41Speaker 3: there for Axiom. It's just people are scared. It's not
- 28:47Speaker 3: an easy path, or it's just not not near strong
- 28:52Speaker 3: enough to make the top door.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Just too many steps, it's not fast enough. I need
- 28:59Speaker 2: some speed.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's too much set up for right now.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Yep, shout shout out to shout out to doom Bringer
- 29:10Speaker 3: and and Dorvian. We we need you guys to hop
- 29:14Speaker 3: in hop in some tournaments, make some placements represent for Axiom. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 3: everyone in the live audience, go ahead and let us
- 29:27Speaker 3: know what faction you're going to be representing. And this
- 29:34Speaker 3: is the the last plea I'll give to represent your
- 29:38Speaker 3: faction instead of just going for the win. You gotta
- 29:43Speaker 3: you gotta fight for your faction. I was very tempted
- 29:48Speaker 3: to do a song meme there, but I had to
- 29:51Speaker 3: stop myself.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I was, I was, I was with you, I was,
- 29:55Speaker 2: I was right there, and I was waiting for it.
- 29:57Speaker 2: I was like, wait, what are we doing? A Beastie
- 29:59Speaker 2: Boys representing?
- 30:01Speaker 3: But yeah, the next question is how do you best
- 30:06Speaker 3: prepare for this event? And Wookie has a routine.
- 30:12Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you right now, don't follow the
- 30:14Speaker 2: Wookies routine. Right. It's not a good routine. It is
- 30:18Speaker 2: a routine of pain, and but you gotta like it, right,
- 30:21Speaker 2: And if you do, it's great, it's great. Right, But
- 30:24Speaker 2: if you don't, like, don't do this, I don't purpose.
- 30:29Speaker 2: So here's what I will. Here's the good wiki. Right, Okay,
- 30:32Speaker 2: so here's what Wookie would tell you. Right, get a
- 30:37Speaker 2: good night's rest, right, be prepared, wake up early, eat
- 30:41Speaker 2: up breakfast. Right, you know, nothing's worse than when and
- 30:46Speaker 2: this is a smaller event, right, So, like these probably
- 30:50Speaker 2: aren't going to be very high level. I shouldn't say
- 30:53Speaker 2: high level. What's the word I'm looking for. Like they're
- 30:55Speaker 2: not going to be long all day routes, right, Well,
- 30:59Speaker 2: they're just not gonna be long all day events, right,
- 31:02Speaker 2: Like once we get into bigger stuff, yeah, you're gonna
- 31:06Speaker 2: see some all day events. And you know that's when
- 31:08Speaker 2: you know, maybe maybe you want to, like I'm gonna
- 31:11Speaker 2: assume like your you know, FLGS is gonna have You're
- 31:15Speaker 2: gonna probably have some snacks there that you can get,
- 31:18Speaker 2: so maybe bring some cash to get snacks or you know,
- 31:24Speaker 2: be prepared to like, you know, have a little lunch break,
- 31:26Speaker 2: but make sure you go on a full tummy. Bring
- 31:29Speaker 2: a water bottle or at least you know, some cash
- 31:31Speaker 2: for water or you know your your favorite drink. Stay hydrated.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Don't do what the Wookie does, which is binge a
- 31:40Speaker 2: peck of cigarettes and energy drinks. That's that's so my
- 31:47Speaker 2: and this has worked for me. But if I go
- 31:51Speaker 2: out when I do large level KeyForge events, the Wookie
- 31:57Speaker 2: just drinks heavily. Right, And now my wife is staring
- 32:01Speaker 2: at me because I quit smoking probably two years ago.
- 32:05Speaker 2: So now now it's now it's vaping and energy drinks,
- 32:08Speaker 2: but it used to be smoke peck cigarettes and energy drinks. Right.
- 32:14Speaker 2: So every time I try to get them through my
- 32:17Speaker 2: games as quick as possible because I want to get
- 32:19Speaker 2: outside and have a cigarette, right, because you never know.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I mean there was one event where me and my opponent,
- 32:24Speaker 2: I was like, you want to go have a cigarette,
- 32:26Speaker 2: and they're like yeah, and we went outside and we started
- 32:28Speaker 2: our game five minutes late because of that, but we
- 32:31Speaker 2: both did. So it was fine.
- 32:34Speaker 3: When you when you play Shredder in Key four, Yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 3: when you take your smoke break, do you just roll
- 32:41Speaker 3: up a car.
- 32:42Speaker 2: You know about shredder.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I know about everything.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Oh man, you've done.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Your vaper about it.
- 32:52Speaker 3: On this podcast we.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Talked about Shredder. I mean we invented predder and made
- 32:57Speaker 2: the rules for Shredder. No, you don't. No, I've never
- 33:02Speaker 2: I don't think we've ever done that.
- 33:04Speaker 3: I haven't smoked a card.
- 33:05Speaker 2: No, I don't think we've ever done that with Shredder. Maybe,
- 33:08Speaker 2: I mean there's always a card. There's a first time. Hey,
- 33:11Speaker 2: there's the first time for everything. Maybe at Roseville this year,
- 33:14Speaker 2: you never know.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Maybe you like keel the back off a card, and.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I know where there's a will, there's a way and
- 33:20Speaker 2: we can figure it out.
- 33:22Speaker 3: You you brought up a good point. All of that
- 33:25Speaker 3: preparation is really good advice, really good thing. It was
- 33:30Speaker 3: mainly a joke because Wookie in the pre show joked
- 33:35Speaker 3: about taking a nice bubble bath.
- 33:36Speaker 2: But I do like taking Okay, so here's when I go, Okay,
- 33:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'll give everybody my thing. So I I
- 33:46Speaker 2: like extraordinarily hot water. And whenever you go to a hotel,
- 33:50Speaker 2: and I like I like the sound of running water, right,
- 33:54Speaker 2: running like bath water, Like it's just it's very soothing.
- 33:58Speaker 2: I don't know what it is, but I love it.
- 34:02Speaker 2: So whenever I go to a hotel, I kind of like, Okay,
- 34:08Speaker 2: so if you put a washcloth in the drain, right,
- 34:15Speaker 2: it will fill enough but by the time, but it
- 34:18Speaker 2: will never overflow because the washcloth is poorous enough that
- 34:22Speaker 2: when it needs to disperse water, it will disperse water.
- 34:26Speaker 2: So you can have the water on as long as
- 34:28Speaker 2: you want and always have it running. And it's unlimited
- 34:33Speaker 2: hot water at a hotel. That's what that's so I
- 34:37Speaker 2: do like taking baths at hotels.
- 34:39Speaker 3: It must be nice to be able to fit in
- 34:41Speaker 3: a bathtub.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Do you not fit in a bathtub?
- 34:47Speaker 3: No? Do you not know that I'm like seven to five?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Oh no, I had no idea you were that tall.
- 34:55Speaker 4: I'm five tens You're not seven to five.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Everyone in Altar knows that I am by far the
- 35:01Speaker 3: tallest altered content. You are tall, and I am very
- 35:05Speaker 3: tall and massive. But your your water preparation and stuff
- 35:11Speaker 3: like that brought up a good point.
- 35:14Speaker 2: You are I am waiting for this. I want to
- 35:17Speaker 2: hear how you're transitioning this go ahead?
- 35:19Speaker 3: Yeah, so, well, you were talking about how they're not,
- 35:22Speaker 3: you know, long multi day events, which is true, and
- 35:27Speaker 3: it made me realize it's probably good to call out.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I think most Tumult events are going to be nine
- 35:36Speaker 3: to sixteen players unless you already have an area that's
- 35:41Speaker 3: doing weekly organized play over that. So if it's sixteen players,
- 35:48Speaker 3: you're looking at five rounds of Swiss. Yeah, but these
- 35:53Speaker 3: games are best of one with a round time of
- 35:56Speaker 3: thirty minutes. So this is going to be just a
- 36:00Speaker 3: this beautiful event. It's not gonna be a huge commitment.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Highly recommend if there's one anywhere near you, to drive
- 36:09Speaker 3: out and represent your faction. I'm very interested to see
- 36:14Speaker 3: how many get up to the thirty two to sixty
- 36:18Speaker 3: four or even one twenty eight. I mean, maybe Gamers
- 36:24Speaker 3: Guild Arizona, you know, is going to hit over the sixty.
- 36:27Speaker 3: It'll be it'll be good to see. But one thing
- 36:31Speaker 3: I will see a lower commitment than.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Than a multi day event. Yep. One thing I will
- 36:38Speaker 2: tell you, though, for the love that of all that
- 36:42Speaker 2: is good in the world, please do the following. Wake
- 36:48Speaker 2: up at least an hour before you have to leave.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Go take a fucking shower. Get a good shower in right,
- 37:01Speaker 2: use lots of soap, Okay, I'm a big guy. I
- 37:05Speaker 2: know all about lots of soap. Okay, and put on
- 37:10Speaker 2: deodorant please. I know for some of you this is like, well, no, duh,
- 37:16Speaker 2: I do that all the time. But I've been to
- 37:20Speaker 2: events where it gets rather ripe as the day continues. Now,
- 37:25Speaker 2: I am a bigger fella, right and as all of you,
- 37:29Speaker 2: some of you may have known, I'm a large guy.
- 37:33Speaker 2: So I do the following. Not only do I take
- 37:36Speaker 2: a shower with lots of soap, I take my time.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I also bring extra deodorant and a spray with me,
- 37:44Speaker 2: like an axe spray or a cologne. Don't gotta go crazy,
- 37:49Speaker 2: but nobody wants to sit across from you and also
- 37:56Speaker 2: smell you.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yes, I bring backpack and I put a stick of
- 38:02Speaker 3: deodorant in it, and I don't you like if it's
- 38:05Speaker 3: a I'm just driving. I don't usually bring my bottle
- 38:08Speaker 3: of cologne, but I definitely spirts myself before. But we
- 38:12Speaker 3: took such a long detour making this the bathpisode. The
- 38:17Speaker 3: question question actually is how do you prepare to prepare it?
- 38:27Speaker 2: You gotta you gotta be ready, right, and not only
- 38:31Speaker 2: you gotta be ready, not only in mind but in
- 38:34Speaker 2: body right, it is as dumb as it sounds. I've
- 38:40Speaker 2: been to some of these events. I've been to Larkana events,
- 38:42Speaker 2: I've been to key Forge events. I have been to
- 38:45Speaker 2: so many TCG tournaments, and you would everyone, I know,
- 38:50Speaker 2: we just had a personally, you think I'm crazy, But
- 38:53Speaker 2: there's gonna be one smelly person there, right, at least one,
- 38:58Speaker 2: and like the more.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Fortunately it happens.
- 39:02Speaker 2: It happens in every card game. I don't know what
- 39:05Speaker 2: it is about card gamers, just bathe right, like you're
- 39:10Speaker 2: gonna play better if you feel more confident in yourself, right,
- 39:15Speaker 2: and nothing's worse. Like I literally at one point had
- 39:18Speaker 2: to like run back to the hotel because I had
- 39:20Speaker 2: forgotten my deodorant at Worlds because I'm like, I stink
- 39:24Speaker 2: and I don't like that. So I like stopped ran
- 39:27Speaker 2: back to the hotel, grab my deordorant because I just
- 39:29Speaker 2: didn't shove it in my bag shove, you know, slatthered
- 39:33Speaker 2: it on, sprayed some cologne, and went back to the event.
- 39:36Speaker 2: You know, I did a little.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Ah.
- 39:38Speaker 2: I hate to say this because I know Cole is
- 39:39Speaker 2: gonna kill me the old Mexican shower real quick, right,
- 39:42Speaker 2: I got a washcloth, and yep, got myself. You know,
- 39:45Speaker 2: I got myself right. But you will play better if
- 39:49Speaker 2: you if you feel better about who you are and
- 39:54Speaker 2: that like it's just as easy as brushing your teeth
- 39:56Speaker 2: and taking a shower, right.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Amen. When I drove down to Houston, my AC broke
- 40:05Speaker 3: on the way down, and the first thing I did
- 40:07Speaker 3: when I walked into the stores, I was like, I
- 40:10Speaker 3: need to freshen up, and I just pulled out, let's
- 40:11Speaker 3: stick a geoor and just put it on right there.
- 40:14Speaker 2: You got that sixty AC sixty Yeah, two windows and
- 40:18Speaker 2: sixty miles an hour.
- 40:22Speaker 3: I'm actually taking my car in tomorrow to uh get
- 40:26Speaker 3: it fixed. Yay, listen to the episode. It makes me
- 40:29Speaker 3: zero money, but it'll make me feel better.
- 40:32Speaker 2: But I mean, like, how do you prepare physically? Like
- 40:35Speaker 2: that's how you prepare physically mentally? Bring something you are
- 40:38Speaker 2: confident in, right, something you feel like you can confidently
- 40:41Speaker 2: do well in. Bring some snacks, right, you're tummy's gonna
- 40:45Speaker 2: rumble or be prepared to buy snacks, or you know,
- 40:50Speaker 2: have some water or some gatorade, some some drinks of
- 40:54Speaker 2: some sort, whatever you like. I'm I'm the you know,
- 41:00Speaker 2: I'm the Maverick Light one hundreds and energy drink person.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Or I was like, and if that's your jam, that's
- 41:09Speaker 2: your jam. But be prepared, right because you you some
- 41:13Speaker 2: of you might be in for a long day, some
- 41:14Speaker 2: of you not so much, maybe some of you just
- 41:15Speaker 2: a couple hours. Either way, be prepared in that sense. Yeah.
- 41:22Speaker 3: So in the gameplay area, I will throw out that
- 41:29Speaker 3: if you're in the discord and you need help preparing
- 41:34Speaker 3: for an event and we just need to throw down
- 41:37Speaker 3: some lobbies, just let us know. You can always jump
- 41:41Speaker 3: into active games and I'm sure someone will wander in
- 41:44Speaker 3: there with you. Make sure you know you get your deck,
- 41:49Speaker 3: that you start doing reps on it if you need
- 41:53Speaker 3: help with like getting a card or two. If you're
- 41:57Speaker 3: in the local area, we can do our best. One
- 42:02Speaker 3: of the things that's going to be a little hard
- 42:05Speaker 3: is I think Beta too, which is the more more
- 42:11Speaker 3: open beta of the marketplace and Print on Demand. I
- 42:15Speaker 3: think it will be running the first week of April
- 42:19Speaker 3: or second week of April, but I don't think you
- 42:24Speaker 3: can guarantee that if you order cards for Print on
- 42:28Speaker 3: Demand that they will be shipped and received by you
- 42:33Speaker 3: on time.
- 42:34Speaker 2: So it is nobody.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Oh, I guess they. I guess they do.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I don't know. If let's look, Yeah, that's where I
- 42:51Speaker 2: ordered all my physical and uh what do you call
- 42:57Speaker 2: it virtual? Did you digital cards from?
- 43:01Speaker 3: So?
- 43:02Speaker 2: I mean they were pretty quick. As long as you
- 43:05Speaker 2: follow their steps, you can get your stuff from relatively
- 43:09Speaker 2: quick time.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it does not look like they have Trial by
- 43:14Speaker 3: Frost on there yet. I think they're just waiting to
- 43:17Speaker 3: open their market up. So if you're not in Texas,
- 43:24Speaker 3: I would say, just lean on you know, your community,
- 43:28Speaker 3: make sure be friendly, trade cards with each other, things
- 43:32Speaker 3: like that, and that should.
- 43:35Speaker 2: And give me all of your Magpie holders.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Yeah, that would require you to, uh to go out
- 43:42Speaker 3: to an event though.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Yeah I already got one. I want to get them all.
- 43:49Speaker 3: You want to get all like three thousand unique Magping holders.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I kind of do. Like it's such a weird thing
- 43:56Speaker 2: because like in key Forgers, I think as a Maverick,
- 43:59Speaker 2: so like hops a house, I would I had I
- 44:02Speaker 2: had a few cards that I've collected all the Mavericks
- 44:04Speaker 2: that are available for it. Now, I'm like, man, could
- 44:09Speaker 2: I get all the Magpie horders? I don't know.
- 44:15Speaker 3: I think there's one or two that I've seen that
- 44:18Speaker 3: people would not part.
- 44:19Speaker 2: With probably not probably.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Not very easily. You probably have to rob a bank.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Maybe not rob a bank, but maybe go a little crazier.
- 44:29Speaker 2: But we'll figure it out.
- 44:31Speaker 3: All right, Dexter, I realized that two of these questions
- 44:35Speaker 3: that I put are basically the same.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Question, the same thing.
- 44:39Speaker 3: What what else are you thinking? You're the young, bright
- 44:44Speaker 3: mind that has to win Houston.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Just get reps in with the deck that you're planning
- 44:51Speaker 4: to use.
- 44:52Speaker 5: Make sure you know how to play it well BJA
- 44:55Speaker 5: is good, but also know how to play it in
- 44:57Speaker 5: person if you can play with yourself or find other
- 45:01Speaker 5: people to play with. Getting reps with it in person
- 45:04Speaker 5: is definitely different than board game arena. Having to actually
- 45:08Speaker 5: use the tokens, draw the cards, play the cards.
- 45:10Speaker 4: It's a different feel.
- 45:11Speaker 5: Make sure that you're not gonna mess up anything or
- 45:14Speaker 5: make rules mistakes is a thing to look out for.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm I'm actually I'll and I'll admit it. I'm
- 45:20Speaker 3: very bad at playing in person and I forget things
- 45:26Speaker 3: pretty easily, or just like, don't do my own yeah.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Because to take off ank or whatever. Just be careful
- 45:36Speaker 4: with all the tokens and everything.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Usually I forget the things that benefit me. But yeah, yeah,
- 45:43Speaker 3: that's a very very good call out. I'm also I'm
- 45:47Speaker 3: not really experienced in you know, in person TCG events.
- 45:53Speaker 3: As I said before, I was more of a E
- 45:56Speaker 3: Sports FPS type person, and I played a lot of
- 46:02Speaker 3: Rainbow six Siege like that, where there are differences between
- 46:10Speaker 3: land or online, but I think it's a lot bigger
- 46:16Speaker 3: of a difference it is from BGA to an imperson.
- 46:20Speaker 2: There is a huge difference between in person and online
- 46:23Speaker 2: when it comes down to tcg's. Now the one thing
- 46:26Speaker 2: I'm going to tell everyone out there, I have tons
- 46:30Speaker 2: and tons of experience with this. If at any point
- 46:36Speaker 2: you feel uncomfortable with a ruling, or you are unclear
- 46:41Speaker 2: on a ruling, get a judge, don't don't hesitate, That's
- 46:46Speaker 2: what they're there for, right, Or if you feel like
- 46:50Speaker 2: somebody is maybe like kind I don't want to say
- 46:55Speaker 2: swindling you, but maybe not being as upfront about something
- 46:59Speaker 2: as you feel like they should be college judge, right,
- 47:02Speaker 2: sloopy sloopy play as I like to call it.
- 47:06Speaker 3: What what? So?
- 47:08Speaker 2: This is a long story. Basically, we had some accusations
- 47:13Speaker 2: of cheating in Key forche and it got crazy, and
- 47:22Speaker 2: it just this all could have been avoided if somebody
- 47:27Speaker 2: just called a judge, right, and it's it's it's literally
- 47:30Speaker 2: that simple, Like, don't be afraid to call a judge.
- 47:35Speaker 2: You're not being an asshole, You're not you know, You're
- 47:39Speaker 2: just you're making a clarification, right. There is absolutely nothing
- 47:44Speaker 2: wrong with trying to just make sure that the game
- 47:47Speaker 2: is going the way it should be. Now, also be
- 47:52Speaker 2: prepared to be told that something you thought is wrong, right.
- 47:57Speaker 2: You have to be willing to hear that side of
- 47:59Speaker 2: the token as well.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Well.
- 48:01Speaker 2: But if you feel like somebody is cheating you, somebody
- 48:06Speaker 2: is swindling you, somebody is not being honest, somebody is
- 48:09Speaker 2: taking too much more time because these are time now,
- 48:14Speaker 2: i'd beat does BGA? Do you guys time your games
- 48:16Speaker 2: when you do like a wall and whatnot?
- 48:19Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm I'm known as the time
- 48:22Speaker 3: guy now because it's going I harp on very frequently.
- 48:26Speaker 2: I wasn't one hundred percent sure because I know a
- 48:28Speaker 2: lot of like online games like there's no timer, right,
- 48:31Speaker 2: and you're gonna run into people that like they're like, okay,
- 48:36Speaker 2: I can't win outright, But if I just go to
- 48:41Speaker 2: time I feel like I have a good opportunity to
- 48:46Speaker 2: win the time rules. Make sure you're you know, keeping
- 48:52Speaker 2: up on that.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Now.
- 48:52Speaker 2: I'm not saying every time you feel like somebody is
- 48:54Speaker 2: going a little further than you'll know it when it happens, right,
- 48:58Speaker 2: That's the only thing I can tell you. You'll know it
- 49:00Speaker 2: when it's happening to you feel free to call a
- 49:04Speaker 2: judge because that's the only way stuff like that's going
- 49:07Speaker 2: to get resolved, and you're not going to be happy
- 49:10Speaker 2: with yourself. And you'll hear multiple people talk about it.
- 49:13Speaker 2: We've got multiple people in other communities that just take
- 49:18Speaker 2: their ever love and time play on a game and
- 49:20Speaker 2: it's like, make a decision.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Yeah, so I will back that one as a judge.
- 49:29Speaker 3: If you are just calling for a judge for a
- 49:31Speaker 3: clarification or a rules dispute or something weird where you
- 49:36Speaker 3: like elbowed your draw pile, as long as you are
- 49:40Speaker 3: willing to explain to the judge and take down what
- 49:48Speaker 3: they're saying, and even if you disagree with them, which
- 49:51Speaker 3: is fine, staying nice. And if you disagree and you
- 49:55Speaker 3: think you're right, you just escalate it to a head judge,
- 49:58Speaker 3: which is your right, and almost all games where there's
- 50:02Speaker 3: a judge, it's when you start arguing or being rude
- 50:08Speaker 3: that it's going to cause a very big problem. Yeah,
- 50:10Speaker 3: aggressive and being a guy who is very passionate about time.
- 50:16Speaker 3: The quickest way I'll explain it is if you are
- 50:19Speaker 3: taking a long time, you are actively giving your opponent
- 50:23Speaker 3: a disadvantage by eating up their time. Every time I
- 50:29Speaker 3: give someone a warning for slow play is when I
- 50:32Speaker 3: get the dirtiest comments or looks.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Yep. So just just know, listen, slow players don't want
- 50:39Speaker 2: to be told they're playing slow. Yeah, right, and some
- 50:45Speaker 2: you know, quote unquote slow players know they're doing it.
- 50:50Speaker 2: I don't think alterns that community. But I mean, all
- 50:54Speaker 2: you gotta do is go look at all the other
- 50:57Speaker 2: all the other communities. Everybody's got a slow player where
- 51:01Speaker 2: they're like, hey, I can win on I can win
- 51:03Speaker 2: on time breaker rules. Don't don't, don't don't don't, just don't.
- 51:10Speaker 2: That's all I can say.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I I'm looking right now. Because and Door and
- 51:17Speaker 3: the audience brought up a good point. I from what
- 51:20Speaker 3: I remember, I don't think Altered has timing rules on
- 51:27Speaker 3: turns yet, because the current tournament guidelines are like soft rules,
- 51:39Speaker 3: and I'm looking it up through it now, I will
- 51:43Speaker 3: say from experience with other games, and this is gonna
- 51:48Speaker 3: blow your mind. You are generally supposed to take in
- 51:54Speaker 3: action every fifteen seconds, yep, which is longer than you think. Well,
- 52:03Speaker 3: it is not as long as some people take and
- 52:09Speaker 3: it is vastly different on BGA compared to in person.
- 52:14Speaker 3: You cannot in a tournament take five minutes off of
- 52:18Speaker 3: your clock to take a turn. It's the easiest way
- 52:21Speaker 3: to get a judge called on you, or a judge
- 52:23Speaker 3: come over and say, hey, I need you to make
- 52:26Speaker 3: a move, things like that. But there are chess clocks
- 52:31Speaker 3: on BGA in every tournament. I think most of the
- 52:36Speaker 3: tournaments have standardized to a thirty minute round time, which
- 52:42Speaker 3: means each player has fifteen minutes on a clock and
- 52:46Speaker 3: they have about three to five minutes of overage depending
- 52:52Speaker 3: on when the game started.
- 52:54Speaker 2: So I absolutely hate the idea of chess clocks in
- 52:57Speaker 2: any game.
- 53:00Speaker 3: I love it.
- 53:00Speaker 2: I I yes, I can see where you do. Because
- 53:04Speaker 2: you're a judge. It makes judging very to the point, right,
- 53:11Speaker 2: But like, there are decks that are just going to
- 53:16Speaker 2: take longer than others, right, It just This is a
- 53:19Speaker 2: This is a fact of reality. There's no way you
- 53:23Speaker 2: could just be like, all right, thirty minute play. You
- 53:25Speaker 2: both get fifteen minutes. This is how it's going to
- 53:28Speaker 2: go because there is sequencing involved and stuff of that
- 53:31Speaker 2: nature that you know there is gonna be some thought
- 53:34Speaker 2: that you got to put into it, right, you should?
- 53:36Speaker 2: You know, Again, as we said before, bring a deck
- 53:39Speaker 2: you are familiar with, so that you're not like, Okay,
- 53:44Speaker 2: what should I do? Hmm, you know, and you have
- 53:47Speaker 2: to wait twenty minutes because you know you don't know
- 53:51Speaker 2: what you're supposed to do.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Yeah. See, the thing is, I absolutely agree there are
- 53:57Speaker 3: some decks that take a little longer, but the decks
- 54:02Speaker 3: that are usually abusing the time are decks that are
- 54:10Speaker 3: looking to abuse the opponent in some way. Sure, and
- 54:15Speaker 3: also classic example a Kesha control. Right, there are most
- 54:21Speaker 3: players that eat up the entire clock, And I feel
- 54:26Speaker 3: like it's a mentality thing because I'm pretty sure it's freeloader.
- 54:31Speaker 3: Freeloader plays that deck because he likes to be annoying
- 54:35Speaker 3: and very frequently has more time left on his clock
- 54:39Speaker 3: than some of his opponents. So it's possible to play
- 54:45Speaker 3: those kind of decks and not be.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's because like once you know it, you're like,
- 54:52Speaker 2: uh huh, you know what I mean Again, it goes
- 54:54Speaker 2: back to know what you're playing. If you know what
- 54:57Speaker 2: you're playing, we're easy, right, Like just is you know
- 55:05Speaker 2: what you want to target, you know what your weaknesses are,
- 55:08Speaker 2: you know what your your opponent's weaknesses are, and you're
- 55:11Speaker 2: gonna attempt to minimize your weaknesses and exploit your opponents.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Done and done? Where do we go next?
- 55:19Speaker 3: Cal We are going to tie in some lore by
- 55:26Speaker 3: it's to the Tumult champs. Are we having the It's
- 55:32Speaker 3: kind of long.
- 55:33Speaker 2: But this is a long one.
- 55:35Speaker 3: It's kind of compared to some of the news articles
- 55:38Speaker 3: that you've read.
- 55:39Speaker 2: So all right, well, thanks to recent information, we have
- 55:43Speaker 2: been able to reassess the situation we are facing within store.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Oh goodness, store it I feel like I needed to
- 55:52Speaker 2: say that with that kind of like uh right. Even
- 55:55Speaker 2: though these findings should still be taken with caution, they
- 55:59Speaker 2: may provide us with new insights into the repeated assaults
- 56:02Speaker 2: of the did you pick one with all the big
- 56:06Speaker 2: words today? Hold ayadara No, this is the assault of
- 56:11Speaker 2: the Bella Senki. These attacks have been growing more frequent
- 56:17Speaker 2: and intense as we approach the kaiss Adara, and now
- 56:22Speaker 2: we may finally know why. Then, the granddaughter of the
- 56:25Speaker 2: previous shepherd of the Oraboros appears to have successfully conversed
- 56:30Speaker 2: with the so called snow Wraith. Her affinity with what
- 56:35Speaker 2: she calls the wind supposedly allows her to project her
- 56:39Speaker 2: voice to the entity's dwelling and to hear its words
- 56:43Speaker 2: with far great, far greater clarity than our previous scouts,
- 56:47Speaker 2: no longer merely as an echo resonating through the vast
- 56:50Speaker 2: snowy expanse, but as an actual exchange of intelligible speech.
- 56:55Speaker 2: According to her, the creature is an oneiros o nyros
- 57:07Speaker 2: okay enough, fair enough, imprison in the heart of the Kaisadhara,
- 57:11Speaker 2: unable to manifest as an Adolin within reality for reasons
- 57:16Speaker 2: yet unknown. It claims the human was responsible for its confinement.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Seeking to harness its power, the entity commanded the altarer
- 57:26Speaker 2: to set it free, using both coaxing words and veiled threats.
- 57:30Speaker 2: The entity's name is said to be Koro Kami, a
- 57:35Speaker 2: primordial dragon embodying the concepts of rain and snow. It
- 57:39Speaker 2: seems likely that a continued presence. Its continued presence has
- 57:43Speaker 2: transferred this region into a perpetual frozen expanse, thereby creating
- 57:47Speaker 2: a somewhat stable oasis. The Belenseki appear to have become
- 57:53Speaker 2: its defecto jailers, benefiting from its imprisonment to thrive within
- 57:58Speaker 2: this biome ecosystem that has unwillingly helped create the captivity
- 58:03Speaker 2: raise several obvious questions. Who imprisoned here? For what purpose?
- 58:08Speaker 2: By what means? Is it truly an only one? Aros?
- 58:13Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, ea claims, well, will happen if it's freed?
- 58:18Speaker 2: What will become of it remains? What will become of
- 58:21Speaker 2: it if it remains in prisons? Already only your all?
- 58:25Speaker 2: O one, no all, yep, that's the word. Through the
- 58:29Speaker 2: int through their adulns have become scrutinizing this information. To them,
- 58:35Speaker 2: the very notion of one of their own being deprived
- 58:38Speaker 2: of freedom isn't an anthem ananthemum, Oh my goodness, you
- 58:42Speaker 2: really hate me today? An injustice that must be rectified.
- 58:48Speaker 2: I have no illusions they will soon pressure us, under
- 58:51Speaker 2: the guise of the Concord, to put an end to
- 58:55Speaker 2: this force imprisonment. Given the nature as manifested ideas. Preventing
- 59:00Speaker 2: them from expressing themselves in the world is in effect
- 59:04Speaker 2: a slow death. However, we must also consider the possibility
- 59:08Speaker 2: that its release could harm the species that have settled here,
- 59:12Speaker 2: species that the Belen Sanki seem to protect. I feel
- 59:17Speaker 2: as though I am caught between a hammer and an anvil.
- 59:20Speaker 2: On one hand, all life and sentience are sacred, as
- 59:24Speaker 2: stated by the Covenant's first law, and freeing the dragon
- 59:29Speaker 2: would almost certainly mean the outright destruction of the oasis.
- 59:32Speaker 2: On the other hand, there is the ideal of the
- 59:35Speaker 2: concord through which we have sworn to a the Onerni,
- 59:40Speaker 2: and is the case these two principles seem entirely opposed. Still,
- 59:45Speaker 2: if the Belen Senki's hostilities continue to escalate, no compromise
- 59:49Speaker 2: can be reached. I must, for the sake of the
- 59:52Speaker 2: expeditionary corpse, consider the liberation of the Kurakami as a
- 59:57Speaker 2: last resort. While this may be responsibility I must personally bear,
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: it is not a decision I can make alone. The
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: repercussions will be immense, both for the native species and
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: this biome. For our dream bound allies. To resolve this
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: thorny issue. Perhaps it would be wise to consult the
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: faction representatives, restoring to a popular vote. Maybe the best
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: course of action log Book of Tomorrow, Singh, Grand Admiral
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: of the Expeditionary Corps thirty nine three nine three AC
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: March fifth.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Nice good job. That brings the question. I don't know.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: I don't know if it's going to be a big
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: surprise that like action that wins is going to get
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: to decide if they free Karacomi or not. But what
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: do you guys think?
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: How would that be decided in a real world stance?
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm one like. I could see how
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: since on the website everything is tied to your if
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: you won an event and your faction one, or if
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: you attended an event in your faction one, maybe there
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: could be a vote. I don't think that's what's going
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: to happen, But maybe my question is what side are
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: you guys on? Set it free or leave it imprisoned?
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Set it free? Chaos?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Why leave it there? It ain't hurt enough?
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: You let it?
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: There's another guy?
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: What another guy?
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: There's another dragon?
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Thing?
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: How do you know there's another dragon? Who said there's
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: another dragon?
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: The Kurokami is like a dragon thing, right.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Right, But like you're like, assuming there's two of them,
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: where'd the other one come from?
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: No, it's just one. It's just one free.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: There's she long, so there'll be two dragons.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and then and then what what if it's just
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: like you know what, suckers and just destroys the whole world.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Then we could see having to fight it off.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Yes, Set six is the fight of the dragons. I
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: am forever in favor of set it free, but do
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: not harm any Belasenki in the process.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: That's a possibility.
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Yeah, obviously the best route would be to figure out
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: why the hell it's locked away and if the crimes
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: fit the punishment.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: But I mean, I do believe the Beetles set it best.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: The Beetles let it be.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: We we've come this far, this long, and nothing's bad happened.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Let it let it be, send it free. I mean
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: they also did say live and let die, So I
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: don't know. Maybe the Beatles don't know, don't have any
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: sort of wisdomness to give here.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: Yeah, they're the Beatles.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: They suck they knew everything, all right.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: That is the Lord tidbit for this week.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Yay. I feel like Cole chooses these just to be like, oh,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: how could I punish Wookie this week?
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: I can read them if you all want. I like reading.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Okay, you like reading? You you literally.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Said before this you hate reading.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: I hate reading, but I like reading, like little lower articles.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: Those are cool. I like out loud, but I like reading.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: You got everything.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: I say is contradictory.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Okay, you've got next week? My man? All right, I
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: can't wait.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: We didn't We didn't collect any Patreon questions in time.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: No boy, Draconis was probably busy. If you hurry and
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: enter one into the live audience, we can probably get
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: to it. Uh So I will in that time divert
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: to the events section. So I have kind of AI
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: on two Tumult events in Texas, one of them being
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: at common Ground Games in Dallas. I think the date
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: is pretty much locked in as April eleventh or twelfth,
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: which is a Friday or Saturday, and then down in Houston,
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: friends of the cast egis agis any other way to
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: pronounce it, we'll be having one. What did it seem
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: like the tw twenty sixth was more likely Texter.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Or what was it the twenty ninth, twenty ninth.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Of April, so there will be the one you were
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: in the twenty sixth, twenty sixth. Okay, so I will
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: of course put them on the Altered Corner website as
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: soon as we get official information on them altered Corner
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: dot com. And if I hear about any others, I
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: will try to throw them in the discord if I
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: know that they relate to someone in the community, and
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: then any others in Texas, I will make sure everyone
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: knows about. For other events, there is a new event
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: on the streets called the No Uniques Championship that will
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: be a weekly event. So if you are a person
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: that is against uniques and think that they ruined competitive, well,
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: there you go. There's your event and me, yeah, I
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: will see you guys at Packs East. There will be
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: more information about that on a later episode when I
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: know what events we will be running. All right, questions,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: let's see to another episode of my question. But make
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: sure it's not corrupted. Yes, I'm actually working on If
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: I can fix it.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: I don't know because it would be a lot to
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: fix it, and all of my efforts went in vain.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: So I mean, you can definitely listen to it over
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: on Patreon. I believe you uploaded it there right, not yet.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: I'm seeing, I'm seeing what I can, how I can
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: fix it.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I know I used all of my tricks and my wizardry,
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: and I was not able to get it there. And
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: I was just it's like it's one of those things
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: where you sit there you're like, I don't even know
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: how this happened, Like how did this happen? But once
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: we get it up, you can still listen to it,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: it just won't be on the main feed. Can you
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: guys share your alternate gameplay modes as we want to
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: try some over here in Utah to provide feedbacks and
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: various other ways to play. I think Cole you kind
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: of went through that, yeah.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: On a cast before well episode.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: I can tell you the exact.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: Two episodes ago.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a Patreon question from Draconis that we
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: recorded on February twenty eighth, so it should be the
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: episode that was released on or yeah, March fourth or
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: fifth around there. But I do have a Google document
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: for my Convoy mode. I haven't tested it yet. I
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: was thinking about it earlier today that I want to
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: get a group together to test it. Maybe on exaltered
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: or exalts table. So if you're interested in doing that,
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: I shared the document so people can view it if
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: you create a deck, if you run into any issues
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: or anything, let me know. I personally think it's a
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: way that you can make a two faction deck that
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: fits more so in the theme of Altered and the
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: spirit of Altered deck building. But let me know, let
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: me know your thoughts, how it goes for you. And yeah,
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: we'll see you guys at packs and I'll share more
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: information at a later date. Exalts table is a website
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: and Exaltered is a fan made client. They are both free, free, free.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: There's also a tabletop simulator, but I'm a tabletop simulator.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Sorry I threw up a little bit. Yeah, so make
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: sure you guys check out all of those what do
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: we got? We got? What do we got? For online
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: events coming.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Up, just all the same. The No Unique Championship is
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: free and on bg A all of the usuals A
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: wall a q Z ACE. We have ACE on Sunday.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Week three will have finished by the time that this
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: is out on podcast platforms. But yeah, that's that's about
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: it for events. And Wookie is set up to send
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: us home.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: Yeah, make sure you guys like the video. Share the video.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: I do all the things where we are trying to
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: get to be do you hear Cole's got big high hopes.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Cole says he wants us in the top forty of
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: Altered Creators.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: That's that's that's for you, that's for I'm I'm like
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: top two already. You guys are just dragging me down.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Why are you even here.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: I'm a humble I'm a humble, humble god. Yeah.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: Yeah, we're trying to get to the top so we
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: can get a spoiler.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: Yeah, share, Share the podcast with anyone you think would
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: enjoy it. I know our feed is kind of interesting
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: being tied to Arcan's Corner, but it benefits in a
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: lot of ways. And honestly, if you go to Spotify
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: and you type in Altered TCG, you will see a
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: ton of our episodes when you search that for podcasts,
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: so it's pretty easy to find us or comment.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Always look for that little Altered Corner emblem. All those
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: are Altered Cornered episodes. The reason where it's still kind
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: of linked that I'm lazy. I've put so much work
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: into AC to get it all set up, and it's
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: like on so many different platforms. I didn't want to
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: do that all over again for a whole nother thing.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: You're talking about setting up a lot of different servers.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: I didn't want to, So I was like, you know what,
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: and I didn't know where this was going to go. Honestly,
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: you know, at the time, it's like, oh, maybe it's
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: a thing. And then maybe it also is like how
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: when I tried to do Flesh and Blood and like
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: that never became really much of anything. So you know,
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: maybe it was like a one week thing. Maybe it
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: was a few week thing. Hey, this turned into I
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: don't even know how many episodes around now, it's got
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: to be a handful mid twenties somewhere.
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: Now, now that the other podcasts died, I feel like
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: word number one and we just have to make.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Sure let us know about all other podcasts, because I'm
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: looking for other altered podcasts to listen to. I feel
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: like listening to my own defeats the purpose because I
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: was I was there.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: And I mentioned one earlier in the episode, but shout
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: out to I will say ChIL. I think that's how
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: you guys pronounce it, right, Chile, Chile, That's how I
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: would say the word, but I'm pretty sure it's Chili.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: Check out a Hero's Guide, Twist Gartha. They are going
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: to be better than us, so we just have to
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: keep our momentum and stay number one.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Wow, they're going to be better than us, no faith.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: Well, I like being the bad boys. What can I say?
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: You like? You know, you're one of those pop punk
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: kids that was like, I'm gonna fight fight the system. Man, yep,
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: you're still fighting to this day.
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I used to. I used to listen to the
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: main Deck one too fleeting Thoughts, and I remember their
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: last episode. They're like, oh, we're doing this more frequently,
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: and now it's been over a month.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: So yeah, I found them. I found a handful of them,
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: and it's just like, man, they haven't released anything since
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: beginning of February, and I was like, I can't remember
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: who's all doing what. It doesn't seem like there's many
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: podcasts about it, which is fine, but there's not a
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: ton of like video content out there either, which is
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: kind of crazy. I mean, it's it's there, but it's
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: like a handful of people.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: Yeah, we're working on it, getting more engagement to boost
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: our algorithm. Tell us what content that you want to
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: see so that I can be inspired to finally do it.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: But I still want to do the series that you
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: and I talked about beginning to end, uh.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: The make a pinups of altered calendar.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: Listen, we already have the Arcons Corner, the Men of
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Arcons Corner Calendar, which is actually just somebody photoshopped our
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: faces over with some much better bodies and then we
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: sold those. Yeah well anyway, yeah.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: Yeah, podcast points. We're all about community sharing, but Fleeting
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: thoughts is no longer our best friend. Heroes Guide to us, Gartha.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: You're our new best friend, new best friends. So all right,
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: and with that being said, we'll see y'all. Well, hopefully
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: we'll see y'all next week.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: You something about just stand there please.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: It's burn in time, it's going in when houses, the Legends.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Riding, when by b whencasses fall, the Legends rise,
