- 0:01Emotional responses appear in the external being and for the
- 0:04most part they stem from the vital being and its various
- 0:08moods. There is, however, another
- 0:10potential source of what appear on the surface being as
- 0:14emotions, and that is something that stirs deep in the being in
- 0:18the psychic heart. Instances of deep devotion,
- 0:22feelings of consecration, intense sense of self giving
- 0:27stemming from the soul's heart can bring forward responses in
- 0:31the external being that are reflections of the psychic
- 0:35development taking place, sometimes mostly unseen and
- 0:39unrecognized in the being. There are also instances of
- 0:43longing that devotional literature, poetry, and
- 0:47spiritual texts express in songs and plaintive cries for the
- 0:51beloved to appear. The stories surrounding Sri
- 0:54Krishna and the Gopis show the psychic being coming to the fore
- 0:59and overcoming all ordinary emotions.
- 1:04A disciple asks, Is an emotion always a vital movement?
- 1:09The Mother responds quote. It depends on the emotion, and
- 1:14it also depends on what you call an emotion.
- 1:17For example, there is a state where if you find yourself in
- 1:22the presence of a very precise, very clear psychic movement, a
- 1:26distinctly psychic movement, this happens quite often.
- 1:31The emotion is so powerful that tears come to your eyes.
- 1:35You are not sad, you are not happy, neither one nor the
- 1:39other. It doesn't correspond to any
- 1:42particular feeling, but it is an intensity of emotion which comes
- 1:47from something that is clearly, precisely psychic.
- 1:51It may be in yourself, but it is even more often in someone else.
- 1:57When you are in contact with an act, a movement, a manifestation
- 2:01which belongs to the psychic, then all of a sudden the eyes
- 2:06are filled with tears. If you call that an emotion,
- 2:11obviously it is an emotion, but usually it comes from one thing.
- 2:15The physical being has a not very conscious but very intense
- 2:20longing for a contact with the psychic life.
- 2:23It feels poor, destitute, isolated and abandoned when it
- 2:29is not in contact with the psychic being.
- 2:32Not one physical being in a million is aware of this, But
- 2:37this kind of impression of being lost, left hanging without
- 2:41protection, without support, of lacking something and not
- 2:46knowing what it is, something you don't understand but which
- 2:49you lack, and emptiness somewhere, well, this comes more
- 2:54often than one thinks. People have no idea what it is.
- 2:58But then when for some reason or other, this consciousness
- 3:02suddenly comes into contact with a clearly psychic phenomenon,
- 3:07with psychic forces, psychic vibrations, the feeling is so
- 3:11strong, so strong that certainly most often the body can hardly
- 3:17hold it. It is like a joy that is too
- 3:20great, that overflows on all sides, that you can't contain,
- 3:25can't hold in yourself. It is like that.
- 3:29There is a suddenly a sort of revelation, not very conscious,
- 3:34not clearly expressed. The revelation of this is it,
- 3:40This is what I must have. And it is so powerful, so
- 3:45powerful that it gives you an emotion which is made-up of so
- 3:49many things that you can hardly say what it is.
- 3:52These are emotions that are not vital.
