- 0:00Speaker 1: Now here's what you need to know.
- 0:04Speaker 2: They did it. What a game.
- 0:06Speaker 1: The Spuds won more heads of first Stage Championship on
- 0:10Speaker 1: Saturday with a seven to six win over Stillwater. Mason
- 0:13Speaker 1: Craft will and his senior season with the Spuds not
- 0:16Speaker 1: only a Stage champion, but also as the States Mister Hockey.
- 0:20Speaker 1: At the awards banquet, he did say, God is a
- 0:23Speaker 1: big reason why I'm here. I want to make my
- 0:25Speaker 1: parents thank you for pushing me, thank you for helping
- 0:27Speaker 1: me make a decision to come back and be a
- 0:30Speaker 1: Spud for one more year.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Just awesome.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Our community, of course rallying around them for so many years,
- 0:35Speaker 1: but to see that actually come to Fruition.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Was pretty incredible. Yeah, very cool. Congratulations to the Spuds.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I saw just a ton of my hockey friends in Minneapolis,
- 0:44Speaker 3: you know, commenting about the games and during the games,
- 0:47Speaker 3: and very very cool. Congratulations to those kids. That's got
- 0:50Speaker 3: to be something you remember for the rest of your life.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Absolutely, United Auto Workers President he is supporting President Trump's
- 0:57Speaker 1: new tariffs on Canada and Mexico amy to protect American jobs.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Here's what he had to say of the weekend.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's simple for us. Look, we're in a crisis
- 1:05Speaker 4: mode in this country. You know, there is no single
- 1:07Speaker 4: issue in this country that has affected our economy and
- 1:11Speaker 4: working class people in their jobs. The NAFTA, the USMCA,
- 1:15Speaker 4: and our trade laws, our broken trade system, and we're
- 1:18Speaker 4: in a crisis mode. We are triaging right now. So
- 1:20Speaker 4: I hear this debate about you know, blanket tariffs and
- 1:23Speaker 4: all this stuff, but look, we're in a triage situation.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Tariffs are in an attempt to stop the bleeding from
- 1:27Speaker 4: the hemorrhaging of jobs in America for the last thirty
- 1:30Speaker 4: three years.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And Wendy's is taking to the Frosty game to a
- 1:35Speaker 1: new level. They've got two new options, Frosty Swirls and
- 1:38Speaker 1: Frosty Fusions. So the Swirls is going to let you
- 1:41Speaker 1: pick chocolate or vanilla and then you get to swirl
- 1:44Speaker 1: in your favorite sauce. The fusions basically a mcflurry or
- 1:47Speaker 1: a blizzard. They're also adding the mints to this. I
- 1:50Speaker 1: am here for all of it. Love Mia Frosty.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I have a feeling if my wife hears of this,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I'll be at Wendy's at some point this week.
- 1:59Speaker 2: She loves them. I just love the frosty consistency.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And I like that they make them so small, like
- 2:04Speaker 1: you could just go get like a little baby frosty
- 2:07Speaker 1: and dip your fries in it. It's like a dipping
- 2:09Speaker 1: sauce for me on a coal or on a hot
- 2:11Speaker 1: summer day.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Just it gives you just that tiny little pick me up,
- 2:14Speaker 3: and you don't have to feel any guilt towards it
- 2:16Speaker 3: if you're I don't know if you care about that
- 2:18Speaker 3: time right, I would never be upset going from small
- 2:22Speaker 3: to medium to all right, just give me the large
- 2:24Speaker 3: blizzard or micflur or whatever.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Frosty.
- 2:27Speaker 1: All right, we are back at it. I know daylight
- 2:29Speaker 1: saving might have you going. Oh, but the weather yesterday
- 2:33Speaker 1: I think helped a lot of people pull through. It
- 2:35Speaker 1: was just a beautiful day today. It is a high
- 2:38Speaker 1: of sixty five, nothing but sunshine. But we've got a
- 2:40Speaker 1: high wind warning and a red flag warning gus up
- 2:43Speaker 1: to about sixty miles per hour today, so it could
- 2:46Speaker 1: get a little wild out there.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Today's variety big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Well, here we go, good morning, sunshines. It is right
- 2:56Speaker 1: after daylight saving and I think a lot of people
- 2:58Speaker 1: are kind of feeling it yesterday. Just beautiful day today,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I was really excited. If you just look at it,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you're like, oh my gosh, it's gonna be sunny in
- 3:05Speaker 1: a high A sixty five, but it's gonna be windy,
- 3:08Speaker 1: gus up to about sixty miles per hour. We have
- 3:10Speaker 1: a high wind warning and a red flag warning. And
- 3:13Speaker 1: it is dipping down fast tonight, polling down to fourteen.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Tomorrow gonna be a high A thirty five, and then
- 3:18Speaker 1: there is a chance of some flurries kind of rolling
- 3:20Speaker 1: into Wednesday. Then we dip back up to fifty, then
- 3:24Speaker 1: we go back down. It's just a we're on a roller.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Coaster, Yes, we are. I saw that over the weekend.
- 3:29Speaker 3: I was kind of looking ahead, like, all right, when
- 3:31Speaker 3: can I take this these things off my windows? The insulation,
- 3:35Speaker 3: all right, is it time to get rid of that
- 3:37Speaker 3: or what have you? And it's just I'm not ready yet.
- 3:38Speaker 3: It's if it's gonna be fourteen degrees, I'm leaving it on.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It kind of reminds me of some people who put
- 3:43Speaker 1: up a snow fence and then it never snows, keep
- 3:46Speaker 1: your insulation up so that it's days sixty and then
- 3:49Speaker 1: you know when we've hit that cusp, Like I don't know,
- 3:51Speaker 1: Gabe the first day of summer, then roll into it.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you're probably right. I'll figure something out
- 3:56Speaker 3: with it. It's obviously a real big concern for me.
- 4:01Speaker 2: How was your weekend.
- 4:02Speaker 3: It was a great weekend, a very relaxing weekend. I
- 4:05Speaker 3: will say I had the weirdest dream last night coming
- 4:09Speaker 3: into work here. Obviously today so not quite the weekend,
- 4:12Speaker 3: but I had this dream that was directly about this program.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Have you ever been in a dream where you can't
- 4:18Speaker 3: run as fast as you want to run, or you
- 4:21Speaker 3: can't move as quickly as you want to something along
- 4:25Speaker 3: those lines.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Nothing comes to mind. A lot of my dreams are
- 4:29Speaker 1: just really real. Like I wake up and I'm like, oh, gosh,
- 4:31Speaker 1: we had this great conversation, and then I go, wait, did.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I write it's weird? Well?
- 4:36Speaker 3: I had a dream that we were doing the show,
- 4:40Speaker 3: this very show here, and for whatever reason, I just
- 4:44Speaker 3: could not figure out how to turn the microphones on.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Oh really, So for like ten minutes.
- 4:50Speaker 3: We're sitting here trying to figure out how to turn
- 4:52Speaker 3: the mics on to do this show in this dream,
- 4:55Speaker 3: and then I woke up and I went, did I
- 4:58Speaker 3: really not? Did I forget everything? I've ever learned in
- 5:01Speaker 3: all my time of you know, being part of radio.
- 5:04Speaker 3: I can't even turn the mics on anymore. So I
- 5:07Speaker 3: walked into work today just a little anxiety riddled, like, please,
- 5:09Speaker 3: for the love of God, let me remember how to
- 5:11Speaker 3: turn the mics on.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Well, you're discussing this.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I had to figure out what that means, dreaming about
- 5:16Speaker 1: work potentially indicating stress.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Oh maybe I'm stressed.
- 5:20Speaker 1: The need for balance or the desire for advancement.
- 5:24Speaker 2: All right, something about none of those seem right. But
- 5:28Speaker 2: maybe I don't know. Maybe who knows. That's according to
- 5:31Speaker 2: the old Internet.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Either way, I'm glad at least for now I have
- 5:35Speaker 3: remembered how to turn the microphone.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Appreciate it.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Very very strange dream, to be honest.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Alright, it is going to be windy. Nice. I have
- 5:47Speaker 1: about sixty five but we've got guss up to about
- 5:49Speaker 1: sixty miles per hour that red flag and high wind
- 5:52Speaker 1: warning going throughout the day.
- 5:54Speaker 2: You ready, ready, that's he is piping hot today. I
- 5:59Speaker 2: know many fills.
- 6:00Speaker 1: The sea we see.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, this is so sad.
- 6:04Speaker 1: The autopsy is out and it looks like Gene Hackman
- 6:07Speaker 1: passed away on February eighteenth from cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's.
- 6:12Speaker 1: The report also found no signs of trauma, but revealed
- 6:16Speaker 1: a history of heart surgeries prior heart attacks. His wife,
- 6:19Speaker 1: Betsy likely died around a week earlier. However, she had
- 6:23Speaker 1: this hantavirus, a rare disease that is spread by rodent feces.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I guess the couple and one of their dogs were
- 6:29Speaker 1: discovered in separate rooms. We had talked about that, but
- 6:32Speaker 1: security footage did show that she was shopping on February
- 6:35Speaker 1: eleventh with a bunch of like groceries, doing her thing,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and then there was no further activity after that. Emails
- 6:43Speaker 1: and stuff like that went unopened, so they're thinking she
- 6:46Speaker 1: passed away after she returned home.
- 6:48Speaker 3: It just got wrenching, very wild story all around, very
- 6:51Speaker 3: very wild, very very sad.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I know Jessica Simpson is not holding back about her
- 6:58Speaker 1: emotional split from her a strange husband, Eric Johnson.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I was wondering what went on.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Here because they seems like everything was great and then
- 7:07Speaker 1: it was just this breaking point. And of course when
- 7:10Speaker 1: it happens like that, you can't help. But speculate did
- 7:14Speaker 1: somebody step out? Well? Her very first song after this,
- 7:17Speaker 1: it's pretty emotional.
- 7:18Speaker 2: The song is called Leave. Listen to the lyrics, what
- 7:22Speaker 2: will has magic Now?
- 7:24Speaker 4: You made a tragic given how what you gave to me?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Now the world that you.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Drink rooms empty, witness made lumbny holy much.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Mummy, unholy matrimony, giving her what you gave to me? Cheetah, cheetah.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That's what I'm picking up here.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean the proof is I think in the lyrics.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Isn't that a saying somewhere or did I just make
- 7:51Speaker 3: that up?
- 7:51Speaker 2: I know it.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It's usually in the pudding, but we'll go lyrics and
- 7:55Speaker 1: then she just straight up says you gotta get out
- 7:57Speaker 1: of here.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Wow.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I love Jessica Simpson. Like this song. When you played
- 8:13Speaker 1: this hook, it just hits for me. It takes me
- 8:15Speaker 1: back when her and Nicolas Shay broke up. She had
- 8:18Speaker 1: like a solid breakup album, I Will Never I Belong
- 8:21Speaker 1: to Me one of my favorite songs.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Really love me some Jessica sith.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I kind of forget that she at one point was
- 8:28Speaker 3: a pretty big pop star. I just kind of forget
- 8:30Speaker 3: because she really dove into acting. I think for a
- 8:33Speaker 3: while there, right a little.
- 8:34Speaker 2: More you made like a reality show.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Well she was in that Dukes of Hazzard movie that
- 8:39Speaker 3: remake I feel like I saw her more on TV
- 8:42Speaker 3: and yeah that series. Then I guess music, but you
- 8:46Speaker 3: kind of forget, you know. She at one point was
- 8:48Speaker 3: putting out bangers.
- 8:49Speaker 1: She's got the chops and I'm glad she's back. Kevin Bacon,
- 8:56Speaker 1: he is admitting that it is his worst nightmare going
- 8:59Speaker 1: to a wedding and a DJ puts on footloose. He says,
- 9:04Speaker 1: they always start out and they'll look at him, and
- 9:09Speaker 1: by the time this song gets like a minute in,
- 9:13Speaker 1: he's circled. Everybody is around him, and he cannot stand it.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He's like, a wedding is supposed to be about the bride.
- 9:19Speaker 1: So he's gotten to a point where if he has
- 9:21Speaker 1: to go to a wedding, he goes up to the
- 9:24Speaker 1: DJ and simply request, please do not play this song.
- 9:27Speaker 1: It's not that I don't love the song, it's the
- 9:29Speaker 1: fact this is not about me. Like he's a one
- 9:31Speaker 1: hundred percent proud of it, but.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I get it.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd be very awkward every wedding for the rest
- 9:37Speaker 3: of your life. You just have to be the focal
- 9:40Speaker 3: point for two minutes or three minutes or how you.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Know, that'd be just so weird.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But from a bride's perspective, if Kevin Bacon is there,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm just jumping in the middle, and I'm dancing with
- 9:50Speaker 1: Kevin Bacon at my wedding, and this is this is
- 9:54Speaker 1: a moment you'll never forget.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I can understand why he doesn't necessarily
- 10:00Speaker 3: like it, but yeah, it was kind of a cool moment.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I guess which might be a fan, the.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Guy who would be upset that Kevin Bacon was dancing
- 10:06Speaker 1: at your wedding, stealing your thunder.
- 10:08Speaker 3: No, I couldn't care less, couldn't care less. I wish
- 10:11Speaker 3: I had a little more what's the I don't know.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I wish I made my wedding a little bit more
- 10:16Speaker 3: about me. In hindsight, Oh yeah, I wish I was
- 10:19Speaker 3: a little more of the star that thing.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. No, that you're coming in hot this
- 10:28Speaker 2: morning game. I deserved a little more shine that day.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I think you know, I would say redo, but that's
- 10:33Speaker 1: like one situation.
- 10:34Speaker 2: You don't redo, YUSA.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I start big ninety eight points, Well.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It's gonna be sunny, high at sixty five, but windy
- 10:44Speaker 1: and high wind warning is going to go throughout the day,
- 10:47Speaker 1: gus up to about sixty miles per our hour.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Also that red flag warning.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Amanda, do you have a dishwasher in your house or
- 10:53Speaker 3: is your dishwasher named Amanda?
- 10:55Speaker 1: No, I've got a dishwasher, okay, but I'm also the dishwasher.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Sure. Yeah. For the long time, our dishwasher was named Gabe. Really.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because Corey does a vast majority of the
- 11:06Speaker 3: food making, so I do a vast majority of the dishes.
- 11:08Speaker 3: That's kind of the trade off.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Well, aren't you just a little sweetheart?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Well, you know the cooks don't clean. Cooks don't do
- 11:14Speaker 2: the dishes, right, No, I'm the psycho who.
- 11:16Speaker 1: If I'm cooking, I've already cleaned up before I sit down,
- 11:19Speaker 1: And as my husband is cooking, I'm picking up after
- 11:22Speaker 1: him as literally right behind him. He's like, I need that, Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 1: then I get it out of the dishwasher. I just
- 11:29Speaker 1: can't handle it.
- 11:30Speaker 3: When I do cook. I'm kind of like that. I
- 11:33Speaker 3: sort of clean as I go because I hate doing it.
- 11:35Speaker 1: At the end, nothing brings me more joy than sitting
- 11:39Speaker 1: down and having a meal and everything's already done, you
- 11:43Speaker 1: just have to go put your dishes in the dishwasher.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that just brings me a little bit
- 11:47Speaker 2: of joy. Oh yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 3: It turns the end of dinner in from a thirty
- 11:51Speaker 3: to forty five minute clean up to a five minute
- 11:54Speaker 3: thing and you can just be done and go on
- 11:56Speaker 3: with your day. I do have a question about your
- 11:59Speaker 3: how you use the dishwasher, though, I want to know
- 12:02Speaker 3: if I am strange. I have been doing this this
- 12:05Speaker 3: way my entire life that we've had a dishwasher. Okay,
- 12:10Speaker 3: I put in the silverware a face down are you
- 12:13Speaker 3: a face down or a face up kind of girl
- 12:15Speaker 3: in the dishwasher?
- 12:16Speaker 1: So I also have children who I am trying to
- 12:18Speaker 1: raise to be decent humans to put stuff in the dishwasher,
- 12:21Speaker 1: so I've had to kind of let that go. So
- 12:23Speaker 1: if they put stuff in, they're just tossing them in.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So sometimes it's up, sometimes it's down. So with kids,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I make sure that the knives are down right, and
- 12:34Speaker 1: then it's kind.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Of a free for all.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Okay, if you had your druthers, which one would you pick?
- 12:40Speaker 1: I think I would put everything up really, so it's
- 12:44Speaker 1: sticking out because I feel like it gets more clean,
- 12:46Speaker 1: because I actually think that's the way it's supposed to go.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Because if you have the right dishwasher, like a new one,
- 12:53Speaker 1: they have the lids on top of them, like a
- 12:55Speaker 1: lid over where the silverware goes, and you stick them in. Okay,
- 13:00Speaker 1: So that way you can't put the fork down the
- 13:02Speaker 1: fore hast to go up. Does that make sense, Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 1: because otherwise it's not getting clean. Have you ever picked
- 13:06Speaker 1: out your silverware and it's not clean because it isn't
- 13:10Speaker 1: getting there because you have too many items in the
- 13:12Speaker 1: little container.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like you'll see like little spots maybe
- 13:14Speaker 3: once in a blue moon, and I'll just kind of
- 13:16Speaker 3: clean it real fast. But yeah, I was just kind
- 13:18Speaker 3: of This was a conversation I had with a coworker
- 13:20Speaker 3: last literally last Friday, Yeah, about how do you am
- 13:23Speaker 3: I weird? Do I load the dishwasher wrong? Have I
- 13:26Speaker 3: been doing this wrong for thirty whatever years?
- 13:28Speaker 1: I don't think it's a right or wrong until they
- 13:31Speaker 1: decided to make it the right way with the holders,
- 13:34Speaker 1: because yeah, we always face down to the silverware and
- 13:37Speaker 1: the dishwasher just because when you had to take them out,
- 13:40Speaker 1: you didn't want our hands getting poked with knives and
- 13:42Speaker 1: forks and whatever. Absolutely, And I think what you're supposed
- 13:45Speaker 1: to do because of that is you're supposed to take
- 13:48Speaker 1: those little caddies out and then what exactly that's like
- 13:53Speaker 1: what you're supposed to do, and then carry it over
- 13:54Speaker 1: to the silverware drawer and then you can do that.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It was supposed to be an easy process.
- 14:00Speaker 2: But I'm with you.
- 14:00Speaker 1: It's nice to just like scoop them up and go
- 14:02Speaker 1: through where you need to go.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I will never pick that caddy figure for as far
- 14:06Speaker 3: as I know, ours doesn't even come out. I mean,
- 14:08Speaker 3: I'm sure it does, but as far as I know
- 14:11Speaker 3: that thing is stuck in there like super glue, you
- 14:13Speaker 3: must not eat a.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Lot of peanut butter and cream cheese because if those
- 14:16Speaker 1: get flipped up like the opposite way, nothing grosses me out.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Then pulling out something and it's not clean. I'm not
- 14:23Speaker 1: wiping that off. Everything is getting rewa washed. You just
- 14:26Speaker 1: rewashed the whole thing for the most part. Yeah, maybe
- 14:29Speaker 1: not the top, but if there's other things in there,
- 14:32Speaker 1: it crosses me.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Today's Variety Big ninety eight point seven, Well.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It's gonna be sunny. I have about sixty five, but
- 14:41Speaker 1: windy gust up to about sixty miles per hour, kind
- 14:44Speaker 1: of on and off throughout the day. We do have
- 14:45Speaker 1: that high wind and red flag warning today.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Well, I've got some sad news sort of, Amanda. I
- 14:51Speaker 2: a lot of times like to.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Just spread positivity and joy here on the Big ninety
- 14:56Speaker 3: eight point seven morning show program. But it turns out
- 14:59Speaker 3: that life isn't fair. You know it, and I know it,
- 15:02Speaker 3: And you're good looking. Coworkers are making a lot more
- 15:04Speaker 3: money than you are. Ooh, isn't that staying a little bit? Well,
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'm not for you. I mean, you're probably one of
- 15:10Speaker 3: these people making all this extra money around here.
- 15:12Speaker 1: No, I I don't know if I believe that. I mean,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I guess it depends on the industry. Okay, sure that's
- 15:21Speaker 1: gonna be my my caveat to this, Okay, yeah, but otherwise, yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 1: gotta be No, I don't know if I buy it.
- 15:30Speaker 2: You don't think pretty privilege is a thing?
- 15:34Speaker 1: Okay to some degree, Yes, you're Again, it totally depends
- 15:40Speaker 1: on the industry. Let's just go your server and you're really, really,
- 15:44Speaker 1: really good looking, and it's a lot of male clientele. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: you're probably gonna get bigger tips, give or take. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: if you're gonna get service, you know, let's go that direction.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so pretty privilege.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Is this idea that better looking get more advantages in life? Well,
- 16:02Speaker 3: sad fact of life that that is probably the case.
- 16:05Speaker 2: It just sort of is I just hate thinking hurt.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I have to say it out loud though, doesn't it?
- 16:11Speaker 1: It does? And I'm trying to put it into Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if it's like a confidence
- 16:19Speaker 1: thing or what it may be. If you're you know,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you you're pulling yourself together and you're feeling more confident
- 16:25Speaker 1: and maybe that bleeds through a little.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Bit more sure. Yeah. Uh.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Sixty six percent or two thirds of people have seen
- 16:33Speaker 3: someone treated unfairly or talked negatively because of how they look.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Nearly two thirds admit that they feel pushed to change
- 16:43Speaker 3: their natural features, maybe straighten their hair or wearing more
- 16:47Speaker 3: makeup at the workplace to fit on in. How do
- 16:49Speaker 3: you feel about that coming in here on a day
- 16:51Speaker 3: to day basis, guys, And are you throwing yourself together
- 16:54Speaker 3: if I have.
- 16:55Speaker 2: To like be.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Engaging with people and you know what I mean, like
- 17:00Speaker 1: if we're meeting with people or yet interviews or things
- 17:03Speaker 1: like that. I try to pull myself together, but like today,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was after daylight saving. First thing that went through
- 17:09Speaker 1: my mind, what do I have today? Do I actually
- 17:12Speaker 1: have to put makeup on? Do I actually have to
- 17:14Speaker 1: do this? Says the people in radio who used to
- 17:18Speaker 1: be unseen for so many years.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, back in the day you could kind of
- 17:22Speaker 3: just sort of hide behind the mic.
- 17:23Speaker 2: All the time.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Nobody even knew what you looked like. Yeah, it was glorious.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Well, it turns out that attractive workers supposedly make twenty
- 17:34Speaker 3: k more a year than unattractive coworkers. So if you're
- 17:39Speaker 3: making a bunch of extra money, hey, good for you.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Someone thinks you're good looking at the building at least gave.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna go home and get ready and I'm gonna
- 17:47Speaker 1: try this again later.
- 17:49Speaker 2: God. Today's variety, Big ninety eight point seven.
- 17:57Speaker 1: All right, weather today, Yes, you're looking at it going sunny, sive,
- 18:01Speaker 1: but unfortunately it is going to be really windy at
- 18:03Speaker 1: some points. You could get guess up to about sixty
- 18:04Speaker 1: miles prior I wind and red flag warning today. But
- 18:08Speaker 1: enjoy that because tomorrow we're dipping down to thirty four
- 18:11Speaker 1: and then we're back up to fifty sixty and it's
- 18:13Speaker 1: just a roller coaster for the next few days.
- 18:15Speaker 2: But hey, I'll take it.
- 18:17Speaker 3: That's right if you are also maybe this is something
- 18:20Speaker 3: you'll take if you're on the dating apps here, if
- 18:22Speaker 3: you are doing some swiping left, swipe and right, trying
- 18:25Speaker 3: to open up with some witty, funny one liners to
- 18:27Speaker 3: try to I don't know, engage in a conversation with
- 18:31Speaker 3: the potential love of your life. You might need some help,
- 18:34Speaker 3: and Tinder is going to give you that help. AI
- 18:37Speaker 3: can do everything. Apparently that is very true. AI is
- 18:41Speaker 3: uh everything. It's a great wingman, really, if you really
- 18:44Speaker 3: need the help. I just don't know what you would
- 18:47Speaker 3: say or prompt what yeah are you chat GPT and like, hey,
- 18:51Speaker 3: give me an opening line on Tinder.
- 18:53Speaker 1: And it also feels so unauthentic, you know what I mean?
- 18:58Speaker 1: You're gonna fall in love with the AI version of me.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm here for this.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Tender is rolling out an AI chat bot to be
- 19:07Speaker 3: a wingman that can help users decide which photos will
- 19:11Speaker 3: be popular, oh, which which messages and certain messages to write,
- 19:17Speaker 3: and they will give and this is in quotes effective
- 19:20Speaker 3: coaching for struggling users. The chatbot will even flag messages
- 19:25Speaker 3: that are off color and prompt the user to reconsider
- 19:29Speaker 3: spending it.
- 19:30Speaker 2: There are a lot of people who could use that.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I think this is saving men all over the world.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I imagine it's been a long time since they've been
- 19:38Speaker 1: in the game, but I recall how rough.
- 19:41Speaker 2: It was out there.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yeah, if you had to send an opening line on Tinder,
- 19:45Speaker 3: do you have one? Gosh, okay, let's are you waiting
- 19:49Speaker 3: for the messages to come to you? E?
- 19:52Speaker 2: Likely? Okay? Likely? Yes, sure.
- 19:55Speaker 1: But if I'm feeling real, you know, had to goss
- 19:57Speaker 1: a wine, I'm like, hey, let's just see what happened.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I got a feeling again, very happily married to an
- 20:06Speaker 1: amazing man. But I was probably going to be swiping right,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and I would match with somebody who was like a
- 20:11Speaker 1: lake person holding a fish, okay, and I'd be like,
- 20:14Speaker 1: nice catch or something like.
- 20:16Speaker 2: That, or I like that. I don't.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I mean, it wouldn't be like it have an innuendo,
- 20:23Speaker 1: but i'd be something cheesy along those lines.
- 20:26Speaker 2: What lake did you catch that one? In? Yeah? I
- 20:28Speaker 2: like that. I think that's pretty clever.
- 20:30Speaker 1: That's the honey hole. That's what they call like little
- 20:33Speaker 1: places on the lake where there all the fish are.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Very interesting choice and words. This is what I'm saying.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Did it get your attention?
- 20:41Speaker 3: I'll be honest, I would have read it, so yes,
- 20:44Speaker 3: I think that works.
- 20:44Speaker 2: How about you?
- 20:45Speaker 3: Whatever happened to the good Now I wouldn't actually do this,
- 20:48Speaker 3: but whatever happened to the good old fashioned Sup? With
- 20:52Speaker 3: the question mark what when did that become lost in translation?
- 20:55Speaker 2: Where it's not cool?
- 20:56Speaker 1: Behalf of all of us here were very glad that
- 20:59Speaker 1: you or married Gabe, because Sup was never really I
- 21:03Speaker 1: don't think a thing.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Oh, the struggle is real. The Monday after daylight saving
- 21:15Speaker 1: and this weather is gonna be a little wild today, sunny,
- 21:18Speaker 1: high a sixty five, but we do have that high
- 21:20Speaker 1: wind warning and red flag warning throughout the day. Gots
- 21:22Speaker 1: up to about sixty miles per hour, and then tomorrow
- 21:25Speaker 1: dip it down to the mid thirties and then we
- 21:27Speaker 1: go back up. So buckle up. It's gonna be a
- 21:29Speaker 1: roller coaster weather week.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Who is that person in your life, whether it's a relative,
- 21:34Speaker 3: maybe it's a friend that when you receive a snapchat
- 21:37Speaker 3: video or something on Instagram or whatever, you immediately know
- 21:43Speaker 3: to A not open it in public, or B if
- 21:45Speaker 3: you're gonna do it, turn the volume way down. The
- 21:48Speaker 3: most embarrassing moment of my life checking out of a
- 21:51Speaker 3: grocery store last week, like late in the week. I
- 21:55Speaker 3: think it's Thursday or Friday, I can't remember. But I
- 21:56Speaker 3: have my brother in law that I know when I
- 22:00Speaker 3: get a video from him or whatever, that the volume
- 22:04Speaker 3: needs to be off or wait till you get to
- 22:07Speaker 3: the car.
- 22:07Speaker 2: And I wasn't thinking.
- 22:09Speaker 3: And of course I open this video while I'm waiting
- 22:12Speaker 3: to oh, in front of everybody, my god, while I'm
- 22:15Speaker 3: waiting to check out of the grocery store.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And in reality, it's just an.
- 22:21Speaker 3: When it's taken out of context and you only hear
- 22:23Speaker 3: the five second or ten second clip. Fair obviously, Yes,
- 22:27Speaker 3: it's way worse than if you were to sit down
- 22:29Speaker 3: and actually watch the entire scene from the movie.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Did it turn heads?
- 22:32Speaker 3: Oh? Of course, I'd never been so mortified in my
- 22:36Speaker 3: entire life.
- 22:38Speaker 2: What did you do?
- 22:39Speaker 1: Well?
- 22:39Speaker 3: It was just some stuff. It was like a scene
- 22:41Speaker 3: from step Brothers. Okay, and what I do? I like
- 22:44Speaker 3: heard and saw where this was going, immediately start jamming
- 22:48Speaker 3: the volume off button like as fast as I can.
- 22:51Speaker 3: And I do think I kind of got out of
- 22:53Speaker 3: it for the most part. I got the volume turned
- 22:55Speaker 3: down enough to where people you know, standing around me
- 22:58Speaker 3: didn't quite hear the full.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Did you do that? Oh? Sorry, guys, did.
- 23:02Speaker 3: You address I played it off like I didn't know,
- 23:04Speaker 3: no idea what's going on?
- 23:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:06Speaker 1: I played dumb, So to be fair, I would say
- 23:09Speaker 1: this is ninety percent of my friends. Like I do
- 23:12Speaker 1: not check Snapchat really ever in public.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Even like around my kids. I just know, Okay, I
- 23:19Speaker 2: just know.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And Snapchat's kind of the only one where we talk
- 23:22Speaker 1: or do anything like that outside of a text message
- 23:25Speaker 1: here and there, Instagram reels and stories and stuff like that.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Also another thing, when my girlfriends are sliding in, there's
- 23:32Speaker 1: a couple safe girlfriends I have, okay, but overall, my
- 23:36Speaker 1: husband is definitely this And I might even throw myself
- 23:40Speaker 1: into this category.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Oh you think people are muting you when they.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Get especially if they're getting a snap because I'm not
- 23:45Speaker 1: a big snapper. But if I am snappin', I'm snapping
- 23:48Speaker 1: for a reason.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Okay.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I wonder if my wife would say that about me
- 23:52Speaker 3: to her. I don't really send her wild stuff because
- 23:54Speaker 3: I know she's running around of meetings all day. But
- 23:56Speaker 3: I have sent her some some stuff where I'm like,
- 23:59Speaker 3: turn that down before you open it.
- 24:00Speaker 1: There should be a warning, some sort of warning. That's
- 24:04Speaker 1: actually a great thing that snap or any of these
- 24:07Speaker 1: people should do. You know, when you send an email
- 24:10Speaker 1: and you can put the high importance, Yeah, there should
- 24:13Speaker 1: be not safe for work alert on something like that.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I think great people can type.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It in, but like Snapchat, for instance, you if you're
- 24:23Speaker 1: in a group, you're gonna hit it and you could
- 24:26Speaker 1: have missed the context above it well watching exactly.
- 24:30Speaker 2: No, I'm not really get the not safe.
- 24:32Speaker 1: For work before you embarrass yourself in the grocery store game.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Nate is my brother in law, so that is whenever
- 24:39Speaker 3: I see a notification from him, for now until all
- 24:42Speaker 3: of eternity, I'm either waiting time in the comfort of
- 24:46Speaker 3: my own car or in my own home before I
- 24:48Speaker 3: open that. He will send stuff during this program with
- 24:51Speaker 3: you in the studio, who I know and trust and
- 24:54Speaker 3: you know what I care. Yeah, but I even that,
- 24:56Speaker 3: I'll turn the volume down because I'm like I do
- 24:58Speaker 3: not know what this is about to be, and I
- 25:00Speaker 3: do not need a man to think. And I'm over
- 25:02Speaker 3: here looking at weird junk on my feet, I would
- 25:05Speaker 3: probably be like, Gabe, I really like you.
- 25:07Speaker 2: By the way.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I would love to know, because we all have somebody
- 25:11Speaker 1: in their life. I want to know if you've had
- 25:14Speaker 1: and what situation you were in that you were so mortified. Yeah,
- 25:18Speaker 1: because you know, we've all been in that situation where
- 25:21Speaker 1: you want to crawl in a hole and you feel
- 25:23Speaker 1: like you can't come back out.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Today's variety big ninety eight point seven and for.
- 25:30Speaker 1: A wild weather week. Today sunny, high a sixty five
- 25:33Speaker 1: and windy gus up to about sixty miles prove where
- 25:35Speaker 1: we'd have that high wind warning and the red flag
- 25:37Speaker 1: warning that's gonna go throughout the day tomorrow dipping out
- 25:40Speaker 1: the mid thirties and then we kind of go back
- 25:42Speaker 1: up chance of like maybe a little snow, then at
- 25:44Speaker 1: the end of the week some rain.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Just wild.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it is a bummer when you see sixty whatever
- 25:51Speaker 3: and then immediately it's thirty whatever degrees tomorrow.
- 25:53Speaker 2: That's for me. I was like a shock to the.
- 25:56Speaker 1: The wind, like, yes, it's gonna feel like a warm wind,
- 25:58Speaker 1: but still sixty mile pro or wins as wild.
- 26:01Speaker 3: About ten minutes ago, a man and I were wondering,
- 26:03Speaker 3: you know, who is that person in your life that
- 26:05Speaker 3: when they send you a you know, maybe a snapchat
- 26:08Speaker 3: or a reel or some kind of video, you know,
- 26:11Speaker 3: to not listen to it on full volume while you're
- 26:14Speaker 3: checking out at the grocery store. Ak me whenever my
- 26:17Speaker 3: brother in law, Nate sends me some type of video,
- 26:20Speaker 3: because I just don't know if.
- 26:21Speaker 2: It's gonna be like wild.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I don't know if it's gonna be gross or offensive
- 26:26Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 26:27Speaker 2: You know.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Well, and the worst is, I don't think it's ever happened,
- 26:30Speaker 1: because I've gotten better about just not opening those kind
- 26:32Speaker 1: of things. But I every once in a while, especially
- 26:35Speaker 1: when you're in a waiting room situation and it's quiet,
- 26:38Speaker 1: you who keeps their phone ring in the ring mode
- 26:43Speaker 1: anymore ninety percent of the time, if not more, your
- 26:46Speaker 1: phone is on silent?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 26:48Speaker 1: So I have been in this situations where I'll be,
- 26:51Speaker 1: you know, scrolling maybe on Instagram or something, and it'll
- 26:55Speaker 1: be a meme of some sort and the volume turns on.
- 26:58Speaker 1: You're like, oh god, I just I'm more because even
- 27:02Speaker 1: the look on your face, even if it's not something bad,
- 27:04Speaker 1: I kind of judge people instantly going oh my god,
- 27:07Speaker 1: oh my.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Gosh, that's sure right. It is crazy how many people
- 27:11Speaker 2: just don't care. Yeah, have you this?
- 27:13Speaker 3: And this kind of reminds me of this time I
- 27:15Speaker 3: was on the bus when I was in college going
- 27:18Speaker 3: back to my dorm. Have you ever been around someone
- 27:20Speaker 3: who's having a conversation with their like on their phone
- 27:23Speaker 3: and it's just on speakerphone, full volume for everybody and anybody, Yes.
- 27:27Speaker 1: And just like the loudest talker, as though nobody in
- 27:30Speaker 1: the world has anything better to do and we're supposed
- 27:33Speaker 1: to be a part of their soap opera.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yep. Yes, I don't get that. I really don't.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 3: I was on the bus going back to my dorm
- 27:40Speaker 3: when I went to Winona State University. There's a girl
- 27:43Speaker 3: on the bus. It was me and my buddy Sam
- 27:45Speaker 3: and this girl on the bus. That's it so US
- 27:48Speaker 3: three and then the bus driver. She is sitting front seat,
- 27:52Speaker 3: full volume, speaker phone, conversing with her mom about a
- 27:57Speaker 3: certain class she had or and how bad it was going.
- 28:01Speaker 3: And I just remember thinking, like, wouldn't you want to
- 28:04Speaker 3: maybe throw on some headphones or just wait till you
- 28:07Speaker 3: get home to tell your mom about how you're failing geology.
- 28:10Speaker 1: This would have been like back in the bluetooth days, right,
- 28:13Speaker 1: So did we give it a bad name because you'd
- 28:15Speaker 1: be like, oh, gosh, you have a blue tooth.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Now I'm thinking there's nothing wrong with that.
- 28:20Speaker 1: AirPods have saved a lot of us are pain and
- 28:24Speaker 1: angst of other people's conversations.
- 28:26Speaker 2: A long story short.
- 28:27Speaker 3: I guess the only thing I know about this girl
- 28:29Speaker 3: was maybe she brought her great up, but I think
- 28:31Speaker 3: she failed geology back in twenty eighteen.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 28:40Speaker 1: All right, weather today is gonna be a little dicey. Yes,
- 28:43Speaker 1: some sunshine, high sixty five thinking, ooh, sit outside and enjoy,
- 28:47Speaker 1: but you're gonna need to tie your leg down or
- 28:49Speaker 1: something because it's gonna be gus up to about sixty
- 28:52Speaker 1: miles per hour. We do have that high wind warning
- 28:54Speaker 1: and also that red flag warning.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that is a good reminder.
- 28:57Speaker 3: If you brought out some patio furniture something over the
- 29:00Speaker 3: weekend because it was so nice, you might want to
- 29:02Speaker 3: tie it down or bring it back inside.
- 29:04Speaker 1: That and a lot of people were doing bonfires in
- 29:06Speaker 1: our neighborhood over the last couple of days because it
- 29:08Speaker 1: has been so nice.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Make sure probably not today right on?
- 29:12Speaker 3: Well, speaking of today, Amanda, you might be celebrating this later,
- 29:15Speaker 3: maybe you won't.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I'm not sure.
- 29:17Speaker 3: And it's kind of convenient that after we just lost
- 29:20Speaker 3: an hour today is National Napping Day. I can already
- 29:25Speaker 3: tell there will be one of these in my future
- 29:27Speaker 3: later on.
- 29:28Speaker 2: And I'm not really much of a napper.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not a napper anymore. I will tell you
- 29:33Speaker 1: that sounds delightful, and there's a lot of people that
- 29:36Speaker 1: probably want to do it, Unfortunately they're just working.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Unless you got a nappod at your work, be nice.
- 29:42Speaker 2: That would actually be kind of said. Do we have
- 29:45Speaker 2: one of those in here?
- 29:45Speaker 1: No, we've talked about a numerous times. There's a little
- 29:48Speaker 1: area that we have and we've had numerous conversations saying,
- 29:52Speaker 1: what would it be like to have a little nap pod?
- 29:55Speaker 2: Would you actually be able to sleep at work? Nah?
- 29:57Speaker 2: I don't think I'd be able to do it. I'd
- 29:59Speaker 2: have to be super comfortable.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I struggle even going home, getting in my bed or
- 30:03Speaker 1: laying on the couch, right, because I have like anxiety
- 30:06Speaker 1: about it, like you don't want to sleep too long.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Twenty minutes isn't enough, right, I could be doing this
- 30:11Speaker 1: it's so nice outside.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's interesting you bring that up, because experts do
- 30:15Speaker 3: say if you are going to take a nap, they
- 30:19Speaker 3: recommend keeping it twenty to thirty minutes. If you take
- 30:22Speaker 3: a sixty minute nap, you might feel a little more rested,
- 30:26Speaker 3: but the problem is you could be groggy the rest
- 30:28Speaker 3: of the day. Apparently that will really affect your rem cycles,
- 30:33Speaker 3: and that can even affect how your sleep goes at
- 30:36Speaker 3: night when you go to bed.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Oh.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Absolutely, I'm not much of a napper, but I will
- 30:41Speaker 3: say one of my strengths is I can just do
- 30:43Speaker 3: the twenty minute nap. I'm sure I don't actually even
- 30:46Speaker 3: fall asleep, but I just kind of sit there with
- 30:48Speaker 3: my eyes closed for twenty minutes.
- 30:49Speaker 1: This is what my Grandma Serrano always said, I'm just
- 30:52Speaker 1: resting my eyes.
- 30:53Speaker 2: And I actually believe that.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Because she would be talking to you and then she
- 30:57Speaker 1: would just kind of like you just fall asleep and
- 31:01Speaker 1: then she's still kind to be listening. Not but it
- 31:04Speaker 1: worked for her all the time.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I one thing I've been accused of. It's sort
- 31:09Speaker 3: of kind of the same, not exactly what kind of is.
- 31:11Speaker 3: We'll be watching a movie at night or something and
- 31:14Speaker 3: it's eight thirty and all of a sudden, Corey like
- 31:17Speaker 3: kind of yells at me or shakes me awake or whatever,
- 31:19Speaker 3: and she's like, you are sleeping, and it's like, well, no,
- 31:22Speaker 3: I wasn't. I know exactly what's happening in this show,
- 31:24Speaker 3: and I heard you snoring. I'm one of those like
- 31:27Speaker 3: I'll argue that I wasn't asleep even though I'm one
- 31:29Speaker 3: hundred percent napping.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I will have the remote like a vice script because
- 31:34Speaker 1: I'm watching a show and Nicole tried to get it
- 31:36Speaker 1: out of my fingers and I'm full on sleeping, right, I'm.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Like, no, no, I'm watching it. I'm watching it. I'm
- 31:42Speaker 2: paying attention. I know exactly what happened. That's right.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Well, we hope you have a great nap day. Keep
- 31:47Speaker 3: it to twenty to thirty minutes. It might not feel
- 31:50Speaker 3: like a ton it is only one hour, but that
- 31:53Speaker 3: one hour will and can't affect your sleep for the
- 31:56Speaker 3: next several days. So if you're a little groggy today,
- 31:59Speaker 3: there's probably will be plenty of people around.
- 32:01Speaker 2: You that are as well. Today's variety big ninety eight point.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Gonna be sunny today, high a sixty five. But unfortunately
- 32:10Speaker 1: the wind is going to ruin our beautiful sunny dreams.
- 32:13Speaker 1: It's gonna be wing us up to about sixty miles
- 32:15Speaker 1: per hour. We do have that high wind advisory as
- 32:18Speaker 1: well as a red flag warning.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Now I don't know how true this might be.
- 32:22Speaker 3: I think this is mostly a mom thing because growing
- 32:26Speaker 3: up at my house there wasn't really a whole lot
- 32:28Speaker 3: of negotiating with dad. It was basically, you know, whatever
- 32:31Speaker 3: he said fair enough or the highway, and Mom was
- 32:35Speaker 3: a little more like, all right, let's figure this out.
- 32:37Speaker 3: But if you have kids or spend a lot of
- 32:39Speaker 3: time around them, you know they can be picky when
- 32:40Speaker 3: it comes to things that they eat. And a new
- 32:43Speaker 3: survey of moms and dads reveal how much time they
- 32:47Speaker 3: spend onto food related battles and compromises. Do you uh,
- 32:53Speaker 3: with old Sidney LOEU or Briggs? You gotta do some
- 32:55Speaker 3: negotiating on are we talking just food? Well, in gen
- 33:00Speaker 3: they're mostly talking about food, but it could go to
- 33:02Speaker 3: other It could go to other topics as well, how
- 33:05Speaker 3: long they can play outside, how long they can't, when
- 33:08Speaker 3: to do the chores, things like that.
- 33:09Speaker 2: You mean literally everything.
- 33:11Speaker 1: I have a four and almost six year old, and
- 33:14Speaker 1: it feels like the negotiation stage, especially with my daughter,
- 33:17Speaker 1: God bless her.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Maybe she'll be president someday. That'd be great.
- 33:20Speaker 1: We're a hostage hostage negotiator, okay, because truly everything we
- 33:25Speaker 1: do is back and forth. Yesterday we had I want
- 33:29Speaker 1: to go to the park, but they wanted to go
- 33:31Speaker 1: to our niece's volleyball game. The vaults were in town.
- 33:35Speaker 1: They were awesome over at Fargo Sports Center, and I'm like, yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 1: let's go do that. So it was of course we
- 33:40Speaker 1: want to go watch volleyball. Sure somethinking, Sweet, we're not
- 33:42Speaker 1: going to the park.
- 33:43Speaker 2: It's packed.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Everybody in America in West Fargo is at our park
- 33:47Speaker 1: right now. So we show up to the volleyball thing
- 33:50Speaker 1: and it's well, we want the park here now. So
- 33:53Speaker 1: you wanted to go to volleyball, then they wanted to
- 33:55Speaker 1: do the park. Then they're running around and then the
- 33:57Speaker 1: food negotiations come in with you aren't going to get
- 34:01Speaker 1: a snack here because we just had a snack right.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Well, then it's okay.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Well I'm gonna have to bend a little because they're
- 34:09Speaker 1: gonna argue with me this whole time. And I'm actually
- 34:10Speaker 1: trying to watch volleyball here, right, So every little thing
- 34:13Speaker 1: ends up kind of being a little negotiating.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I think, yeah, because growing up it was I would
- 34:17Speaker 3: have the problem of it'd be like lunch right, and well,
- 34:22Speaker 3: I'm not hungry right now, and then at two, you know,
- 34:25Speaker 3: all of a sudden, little baby Gaby needs a snack,
- 34:28Speaker 3: and Mom's going, well, you had that chance already. No,
- 34:31Speaker 3: we have dinner coming up here. You're just gonna have
- 34:34Speaker 3: to starve. And of course I thought I would just
- 34:37Speaker 3: starve to death and the wind would blow me away.
- 34:39Speaker 3: But of course, But so I guess I didn't really
- 34:41Speaker 3: get to do a whole lot of negotiating growing up,
- 34:43Speaker 3: now that I think.
- 34:44Speaker 1: About it, and a lot of parents are more.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Nice Mom Amanda here.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I know, and I mean myself exhausting because it just
- 34:54Speaker 1: needs if I would just stay no the answers no,
- 34:57Speaker 1: they would know and then they know how to.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I know how to do it, and it's just I
- 35:02Speaker 2: need to stand my ground. Trust me. I get a
- 35:04Speaker 2: little soft.
- 35:05Speaker 3: I feel like once in a while, my mom would
- 35:06Speaker 3: get me like a string cheese, and I think that's
- 35:09Speaker 3: why I eat it so weird to this day, because
- 35:11Speaker 3: I just bite it, like I don't peel string cheese.
- 35:14Speaker 3: I think that's because due to my lack of snack
- 35:17Speaker 3: negotiating with my mom growing.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Up, the way you eat your string cheese.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't I peel it. I just eat it.
- 35:27Speaker 2: You're like, you're mad, Like you're just like gonna. You're
- 35:29Speaker 2: getting after the string cheese.
- 35:30Speaker 3: He's like, I just eat it. I just bite into it.
- 35:32Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, do you when you eat cheese?
- 35:36Speaker 2: What's happening right now?
- 35:38Speaker 1: Mad Gaby baby is going after.
- 35:40Speaker 2: The string cheese because your mom wouldn't give you a snack.
- 35:42Speaker 3: No, I'm saying it's because I was so starving. I
- 35:45Speaker 3: didn't have time to sit there and peel it down.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Angry.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I was angry eating this string cheese growing up. This
- 35:52Speaker 3: is wild either way. Parents say they spend an average
- 35:56Speaker 3: of sixty seven hours a week negotiating with their week
- 36:00Speaker 3: a week sixty seven hours. Do you think that number
- 36:05Speaker 3: should be way higher or way lower? What are you
- 36:07Speaker 3: shocked by?
- 36:08Speaker 2: Higher?
- 36:10Speaker 1: Okay, it's every second in my life.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I'm a Today's Variety Big ninety eight point seven.
- 36:20Speaker 1: All right, some sunshine today, high A sixty five. We
- 36:23Speaker 1: are going to get a high wind warning and a
- 36:25Speaker 1: red flag warning today. There could be gus up to
- 36:27Speaker 1: about sixty miles per hour today.
- 36:30Speaker 3: All right, I've got some good news for you here, man.
- 36:32Speaker 3: And this involves two high school golfers. Two high school
- 36:36Speaker 3: golfers were playing each other in this tournament a week ago,
- 36:40Speaker 3: and one of them ended up saving the other one's life.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Wow, yeah, okay, what happened?
- 36:46Speaker 3: Yeah, a high school senior named Angel. He had heard
- 36:49Speaker 3: his opponent yelling for help when he found him in
- 36:52Speaker 3: a water hazard. It turned out that the kid fell
- 36:55Speaker 3: in trying to grab his golf ball that he hit
- 36:57Speaker 3: in the water hazard, and he can swim.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Apparently Angel pulled them out and out.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, even though they were both you know, obviously
- 37:06Speaker 3: soaking wet, they decided to finish out their match, and
- 37:09Speaker 3: Angel actually won the match. The police gave him the
- 37:12Speaker 3: Hero of the Month award.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I'm sorry, this dude.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Really, this guy's about to die. It's like a play
- 37:19Speaker 1: it where it falls.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Right, play it where it lies?
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yes, I can't. This is like some happy gilmore So
- 37:29Speaker 1: I got good, but at the same time, really, and
- 37:34Speaker 1: you're taking it this serious and if.
- 37:36Speaker 3: You can't swim, why are you going to get the
- 37:39Speaker 3: golf ball? I'm kind of with you. I first saw
- 37:41Speaker 3: this and thought it was this is kind of a
- 37:43Speaker 3: funny story. But gladly the kid is okay and Angel
- 37:46Speaker 3: did win the tournament.
- 37:47Speaker 2: It's good news all around, that's right. Oh man. The
- 37:51Speaker 2: world is full of nice people. If you can't find one,
- 37:54Speaker 2: you gotta be one.
