- 0:00In this idea of this chapter of you that had fear of sin, which
- 0:04sounds like a tough and serious chapter, but the overall theme
- 0:10is this concept that we absorb that Hashem is fully involved in
- 0:14everything and because of that we're at all.
- 0:16And the more we're at all, the more we are afraid and we are
- 0:21fearful of doing the wrong thing just because you don't want to
- 0:24do the wrong thing because we don't want to sin.
- 0:26We don't want to make a mistake and gathered by Hashem, whether
- 0:30it be he brings all examples. There's embarrassment and
- 0:34there's a sense of I'm not living up to what I can live up
- 0:38to with the awareness that I have.
- 0:40I agree on shamis. That's what happens.
- 0:41I'll be I'll be from 483 and on. I'll be showers him as a minute.
- 0:45I'll be delicate enough where a person is in this type of
- 0:48mindset when he realizes I agree on Shamis and the situation of
- 0:52sin comes in front of him and he has he has a temptation to do
- 0:55with sin whom I care about should have it and he realizes
- 0:58wrong. She has all melasata.
- 1:00He's not going to do it in the mana Shalaya said about Lambrot
- 1:03and Nick Vodor Hanslon. He doesn't want to do something
- 1:07bare in the eyes of God just because he is so wowed and so
- 1:12awe of the Davis of he's always afraid I might be doing this
- 1:23wrong. You know people.
- 1:24It's very similar actually, people who are very big
- 1:28warriors, very nervous people after they make a mistake.
- 1:31Oh my gosh, should I do this? Can I do that?
- 1:33I do the other thing that's natural when someone has yah
- 1:37shamim, that's a spiritual idea. It says same, look, a person is
- 1:42nervous, then I make a mistake. You won't hear from a
- 1:45conversation, never have this. You won't hear from a
- 1:47conversation. Like should I have said that or
- 1:49should I not have said that? And there's that sense of doubt
- 1:52and a sense of maybe a little nervousness, not because you're
- 1:54getting punished sometimes because you're afraid of having
- 1:57such a wrong thing to the person that made them feel bad, even
- 1:59what they're going to think in the eyes of the world of
- 2:02Iratyamayan, the idea is you don't want to have done that
- 2:07because of God. That's the goal.
- 2:09The goal of Iratyamayan is, is that I have such a strong sense
- 2:13of his existence. I can be conscious.
- 2:15I have my own. I have my own compass that makes
- 2:18you do the right thing. And I want to do the wrong
- 2:20thing. And I look after my actions and
- 2:22say I feel guilty and anybody has something wrong, not because
- 2:25I'm overly nervous, but rather because I'm overly clear on how
- 2:29great Hashem is and how much he's existed.
- 2:30That's the idea. People love to say, you know,
- 2:35Hashem is great, Hashem is powerful, but he loves me, so
- 2:37because of that I'm good. No, the idea of how Shamayim is,
- 2:42he's great, He's powerful, He loves you.
- 2:44That's true. But at the same time, he's very
- 2:46much present, and I think he's very present.
- 2:49I should not be doing anything that he would disapprove of.
- 2:52The same way a child would be scared to do something wrong in
- 2:56front of their parents. Even something that they think
- 2:58is not so bad, but they know that parent doesn't approve.
- 3:00They'll be nervous to say so. The same thing is true.
- 3:04You're not Shamayim, the real version, yes.
- 3:06You're afraid of doing something wrong in the eyes of your
- 3:08parent, in the eyes of a God. That's how it is.
- 3:11Shaloh, you get to this degree you don't want to have in your
- 3:19actions even parts all you've done that God doesn't approve of
- 3:23Muhammad and Hamap Shia relative slut on Muhammad Alam.
- 3:28You don't want to space out and therefore make a mistake.
- 3:31You don't want to ignore something important and make a
- 3:33mistake. All these things that you think
- 3:34about and say I want to do things right.
- 3:36That all comes from real strong clear your ashram.
- 3:41Yeah, but there's a direction here in any scenario, whether
- 3:45it'll be in your conversations, in your tiffila, in your
- 3:47learning, in your thoughts, all that consciousness, all
- 3:50consciousness idea being a Azen, Neymar, Ashley, Adam, the Fahed
- 3:56Tamit Praiseworthy is the person who's always nervous.
- 4:00Now this doesn't sound good. We're anti nervous today.
- 4:04Mental health, OCB nervousness, all that is correct.
- 4:09We are anti nervous. We are anti.
- 4:11We don't want OCD, We don't. We want a strong mental health,
- 4:14but this is coming from a strong point.
- 4:16It's not coming from a person who has certain levels of fear
- 4:20and nipple weakness. It's kind of a person who has
- 4:22certain levels of strength and understanding and therefore he
- 4:27wants to do things right. I don't know if you saw any of
- 4:29these videos. If you see the videos of China,
- 4:33Trump and Chinese to the videos I watched last night when these
- 4:36videos were sent out of him, you know the of the soldiers
- 4:41standing in line when the 2 presidents, president of America
- 4:45and president of China walk by. And if you watch a video, it's
- 4:48wild. These people are standing
- 4:52perfect. I don't think any one of them is
- 4:55allowed to have more weight than the other guy.
- 4:57Otherwise they do. They're standing perfect,
- 5:00perfectly in line. My wife is convinced that's AI.
- 5:03She thinks they're robots. There's no way.
- 5:05I saw them on the trade show once, standing there.
- 5:08I went to go touch it and then there was a guy.
- 5:09Yeah, exactly. And look, look freaky.
- 5:13And they're holding their guns perfect.
- 5:15And as the presidents walk by, these men turn and it literally,
- 5:21and it watch it, it's wild. They turn, synchronize to
- 5:25perfection. They all look the same,
- 5:27obviously. And that might sound like a
- 5:29little bit bigotry, but they continue walking and right, and
- 5:33they walk and they turn. And as they walk perfect, it's
- 5:38so synchronized. What is that?
- 5:40What is it? What is great training?
- 5:42I'm sure it is unbelievable level of discipline.
- 5:46Discipline. True.
- 5:47You know, it really is fear for their life.
- 5:50I said to this, they're afraid. Who knows what their trainers
- 5:53say? They're afraid.
- 5:54They're right. This is their moment.
- 5:56And then they have kids. This is a classic that kids that
- 5:59are cheering on and these are our really, you know, we have
- 6:02kids, thank God. And my kids would never be that
- 6:04perfect. And these kids are yelling and
- 6:06screaming, waving their flags to perfection.
- 6:08It looks like a joy, it looks like a joke, and I really is.
- 6:12I say you fear for life. I'm only joking.
- 6:14What I mean is the sense of strong discipline in that
- 6:18country because of that sense of fear.
- 6:20It is true to that degree because of that sense of all and
- 6:23fear in the whole thing built the suite.
- 6:25Our concept of Hashem is God exists and He very much exists.
- 6:30And I noticed Him yesterday. I noticed the day before.
- 6:32I'm noticing Him and everything in the world.
- 6:34I've been mentioned, I'm noticing business, I'm seeing
- 6:36everywhere and because of that I want to do what's right in his
- 6:40eyes. Not because I'm overly nervous,
- 6:43worried and I have a worry nature.
- 6:45No, it's because I sense him and he wants things done a certain
- 6:50way and I would love to be the one to follow that lead and I
- 6:54don't want to be the one who does the opposite.
- 6:56What sense it means is that the thickness of fear and awe that
- 7:01shouldn't be around us will guide us to do the right thing.
- 7:05If you say I want only love, you do only love.
- 7:08But you also want something keeping you in checked,
- 7:11something that creates discipline.
- 7:13And a Jew is best, is at his best when he has appreciation of
- 7:17ushion and he has awe of ushion. Those two of the things combine.
- 7:21Putting in the right position. Appreciation alone will not hold
- 7:25you back from doing something wrong.
- 7:27It'll motivate you to do something right, but it will
- 7:30hold you back when there's something wrong.
- 7:32But the awe, the sense of power, of wow and greatness and
- 7:36almighty that'll hold you back or doing anything wrong with
- 7:40these days. If I don't want to cross that
- 7:41Shim, I don't want to do the wrong thing.
- 7:43Forget punishment. I don't think about punishment.
- 7:45I just think about the fact that he's so mighty, He's so
- 7:48powerful, and therefore I want to do things right.
- 7:50And that's something that's very difficult to internalize because
- 7:53our wiring today in the modern day fights this way of thinking
- 7:58for two reasons. Number one, whenever we talk
- 8:01about Hashem, it's about love, right?
- 8:03Well, it is because it hits our heart and it's cozy #2 we don't
- 8:09like fear. We don't allow fear to be in the
- 8:12institutions anymore with schools.
- 8:14We don't allow fear to be in the homes.
- 8:16When it comes to that sort of discipline, we just don't like
- 8:19fear. It's not good.
- 8:21And the reason we don't like fear, there's a reason for it.
- 8:23It's true. And because sadly, there's so
- 8:25many people who are fighting different issues and a lot of
- 8:28them are fighting their own fears.
- 8:29It's a mental health issues that are across the board and it's a
- 8:32real world. And the reality is, is that you
- 8:35don't want fear to be part of the system for young people.
- 8:38You don't want fear to be part of the system for unhealthy
- 8:40older people. But our adults, we do want for
- 8:44strong people, a sense of all, a sense of yes, even here based on
- 8:49oil, to be a part of our mechanism, part of our wiring
- 8:53and a part that makes us a better Jew.
- 8:54And we don't have it that we are lacking discipline.
- 8:57If you're lacking discipline and you might be rah rah, I love
- 9:00Hashem, I love everything, but you might also be rah rah, I
- 9:04love Hashem, I do whatever I want, but I'll also say I love
- 9:07Hashem in the process. That's not much.
- 9:09You need to have the guidance, the compass, discipline, the
- 9:14holding back. The strength of a Jew is defying
- 9:17the Ansar al, not just pushing yourself forward.
- 9:20Also find the Ansar al to say no to things.
- 9:23The power that's saying no is a great, great power that makes us
- 9:27and displays out of discipline. You can't get to it without, you
- 9:30know, you can't get to the idea of saying no just by being a
- 9:34person that says yes, yes, yes to the good things.
- 9:37That will not be a person automatically that says no to
- 9:40the bad things. You need a part of you that
- 9:43closes the bad things off and that is fear and that is overall
- 9:47awe. What's going to make you a
- 9:48disciplined person? A sense of power of Hashem, not
- 9:53just a sense of love, invention. You need that power.
- 9:55Literally. You can be a perfect as a Jew,
- 9:59as those soldiers were in that video.
- 10:01Watch it and laugh because it seems fake.
- 10:04But really what it is at its core, it's people being
- 10:07disciplined. And we want discipline now.
- 10:10Discipline hold people back. Discipline limits people.
- 10:14Discipline has a lot of weaknesses, but the combination
- 10:17of a Jew whose discipline is not coming from a bad place, from a
- 10:21terrified place, it's coming from an all place.
- 10:25If you have that discipline and you have that strength to say
- 10:28I'm not going to do the wrong thing because God doesn't want
- 10:31it, you're a better person. You're a stronger person, you're
- 10:34a more guided person, You're on the best track.
- 10:38Combine the role without that, you're in trouble.
- 10:41This is the idea I should I down to the head to meet
- 10:45praiseworthy. This person is always afraid.
- 10:47We hate fear. No, Praiseworthy is a person who
- 10:51has the right kind of fear. In other words, there's a major
- 10:54place in our world for discipline.
- 10:57It might have changed how it was brought out and might have
- 11:00changed its sources. Or that might be true.
- 11:03By the end of the day, you cannot do away with discipline
- 11:06because if you do, you're doing away with guidance, you're doing
- 11:10away with a track, you're doing away with clarity.
- 11:13You're removing, excuse me, all the great things that make up
- 11:17who we are, makeup, when it holds us back, when doing this
- 11:20in the role, you're going to lose all that.
- 11:22If you're with discipline, if you have discipline and you have
- 11:25the ability to avoid mistakes, nothing's not here.
- 11:28Over and over and over again. It's not here.
- 11:30It's not like this.
