- 3:44expressions off my chest and some things that I care about in
- 3:48the world. Again, the front dozer show on

- 4:08are doing conversations here, finding their voice.
- 4:12Thank you so much. This is the front Jose show.
- 4:29Hey, Mister man, how you doing? I'm good, man.
- 4:32I'm good. Hey, did you see the game last
- 4:33night? I was your game, but did you see
- 4:35the shot? I lost money from that.
- 4:37Oh man, that shot was. Old man, but it was good, yeah.
- 4:44What's the name? You really want to know I do.
- 4:54Exhaustion, muscle spasm, Asthmatic issues, unexpected
- 4:59sickle cell trait typing. Damn, are you serious?
- 5:03When I was young, I found out I had sickle cell trait.
- 5:05My mom's told me, but I didn't have no knowledge of it.
- 5:08But when I got older, I had a child.
- 5:09The doctor told me my daughter has sickle cell trait.
- 5:12You know, the fact that both parents have sickle cell trait,
- 5:15there's a 50% chance the child may have the trait and 25%
- 5:18chance the child may have the disease.
- 5:20And that's what's the count. Do you know that 2.5 million
- 5:23people in the United States have sickle cell trait?
- 5:25300 million people globally. I didn't find out I had sickle
- 5:28cell trait until I was in the army 10 years.
- 5:30Next thing you know I had a sickle cell trait.
- 5:31Exertion. Site.
- 5:33April. SO I thought that was a black
- 5:35gene or something. Nah, man.
- 5:36The black community is number 21 out of 36,000 babies are being
- 5:40born with sickle cell disease. You could be Caucasian,
- 5:42Mediterranean, European. You got rid of a bloodline, man.
- 5:48There is an. Inherited gene in our community
- 5:50that has been forgotten. The name is sickle cell trait.
- 5:54WDCONSCT, also known as What's the Count, is out to bring
- 5:58awareness, education and prevention to people all over
- 6:01the globe. Want more information?
- 6:04Call us now at 323-215-5384 or visit www.wdconsct.org.
- 6:26All right, welcome back to the front door.
- 6:27This show in the military broadcast radio network.
- 6:29It's NBR radio and TV. It is a great day.
- 6:35I'm here to just bring some awareness to some conversations
- 6:38that I'm up to in the community. Again, we just watch the PSA
- 6:42here about sickle cell trade. That is a public service
- 6:46announcement that I was blessed to create 2016 had been in my
- 6:50heart. I want to say, gosh, I started
- 6:54advocating in 20, late 2009. So probably about five years or
- 7:00so. That was in my mind to create
- 7:03this PSA and because there was a lot when I came into the scene,
- 7:09there wasn't a lot of sickle cell trade conversation
- 7:11happening. And so hearing people say, oh,
- 7:14we don't have any PS as we don't have anything.
- 7:16And, you know, instead of saying we don't have one, you know, it
- 7:19was put on my heart to create 1 and it is inspired by Genuine.
- 7:22So if you know that song by Genuine, any more room for me in
- 7:27those jeans? Yeah, I took that conversation
- 7:30and we flipped it and what's in what's in those jeans?
- 7:34What's in your jeans is the campaign.
- 7:36And it was my visual idea to, you know, be sitting on the bus
- 7:40stop, walk up, sit on the bus stop next to a guy.
- 7:42We laugh and talk about the game last night.
- 7:44And and then this girl walks by and these jeans and be like,
- 7:48Dang, what's in them jeans? Because that's what, you know,
- 7:51unfortunately some of us, that's how we act out loud in public.
- 7:55And she's like, you really want to know?
- 7:57And we like, yeah, sit down. And she just drops it off ABCD.
- 8:03And then it triggers our conversations like, oh, man, my
- 8:06mom told me I had sickle cell trade when I was little, but I
- 8:09didn't think that. And then hear my story.
- 8:11Oh, I collapsed in the military from sickle cell trade, Rabdo.
- 8:14And then the guy that comes sitting next to us like, hey.
- 8:16I thought sickle cell. I thought that was a.
- 8:18Black Dean and I dropped the the Hispanic conversations, right?
- 8:22So it is African Americans we are #1 and that community is
- 8:26number 2. And with that being said, check
- 8:29this out for the black community.
- 8:32Muchos anos osrosos vemos affectados Portland fermeda de

- 9:06trastorno de cellulas fasciformes.
- 9:12So you see the Hispanic community number 2.
- 9:14So what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you some just some
- 9:18basic facts and what's, you know, what's so what's going on
- 9:22with sickle cell trade today, currently in our awareness
- 9:26month, giving you some knowledge.
- 9:27So if you have any questions or you know someone that needs this
- 9:30information after you watch it, you can pass it along to them so
- 9:34that they can become educated. So I'm going to put the ticket
- 9:37down there at the bottom. Boom.
- 9:39All right, so I'm going to go bring up my page, share my
- 9:44screen here. And So what you're looking at is
- 9:49my website, WDCON sct.org. At the top.
- 9:55When you go there, you'll be able to look at all the
- 9:56different tabs and the drop down.
- 9:59And then there's some more tabs on the very bottom of the
- 10:02website. This is me.
- 10:05This is actually the base that I collapsed that in 2006, just a
- 10:09couple days ago. It was 20 years ago, 2026.
- 10:14So Thursday last week it was no, no, a couple days ago.
- 10:22What was that? Not Thursday, it was Sunday.
- 10:25Sunday was 20 years that I collapsed at Camp Roberts.
- 10:31And so 2015 I reached out to them to find out if I could
- 10:37become a guest speaker, if they allow guest speakers, and they
- 10:40verified it and said yes. And so I have been a resident
- 10:45speaker at Camp Roberts since 2016.
- 10:49So I've been speaking up there for 10 years.
- 10:52Wow, to think about that today. So 2016 I started going up
- 10:58there. And so this is me not too long
- 11:01ago because you can see the beard, but I'm able to address
- 11:06the soldiers at the RTSM that come up there for either MOS
- 11:09schools or for their NCOES education programs up there.
- 11:15And so I'm allowed to come up there during the orientation
- 11:20period, which is like the the next day they so they arrive,
- 11:23they travel in on say on Wednesday and then I speak with
- 11:26him on Thursday morning at the during part of the orientation.
- 11:30And so that has been nothing less than than than a blessing
- 11:34to be able to go there and share my story, educate these soldiers
- 11:39by about my experience. And the beauty of it all is
- 11:44since 2020, I believe the Army specifically has gone back
- 11:50because of the sickle cell trade conversations and the rhythm
- 11:53myelosis conversations. And they have gone back and
- 11:56started to retest all of their Army soldiers and the new
- 12:00recruits to identify them about their sickle cell trade status.
- 12:04So now the last six years that I've been going there, or maybe
- 12:09about five years, soldiers come in and I share my presentation
- 12:13and they're, they're aware I've had a, a few soldiers come in
- 12:16and was like, Hey, I would, I just found out I was a trade
- 12:19carrier And you know, I, that's all they told me.
- 12:23But here I'm glad I came to, you know, I came to the school and,
- 12:26and that you're here because you gave me more information than
- 12:29that They gave me after I did the screening the PHA in the
- 12:34military. So there are still some
- 12:36conversations, some gaps, some things missing for that
- 12:40information piece, that awareness piece.
- 12:42And so I'm, I'm blessed to at least be able to travel there.
- 12:47I've done a few RTSM locations like Los Alamitos and March Air
- 12:52Force Base, and I've spoken to some other bases as far as, as
- 12:55far as Germany in person. And so, but yeah, this is me at
- 13:01the base. And so I travel there.
- 13:04I used to be almost 12 times because it was almost every
- 13:07course, but I've been able to break it down to maybe about
- 13:1010:10 or 9:00. We, we, we, we now negotiate.
- 13:16And you know, the best time to come up there might be in the
- 13:19middle of a, of a conversation or when, when another group is
- 13:22arriving. So they'll have more soldiers at
- 13:24one time. But I've, I've spoken as to many
- 13:26as 40 + 50 and as low as maybe 12 people.
- 13:32So it's not about, you know, how many people is there, it's about
- 13:37the information because you just never know who might need to
- 13:40hear that conversation, right? And so as you go to the website,
- 13:43that first page, the landing page here, we have some links
- 13:46here you can click on. And then there's a survey that
- 13:50my daughter Deja created. She's also single cell trade
- 13:52carrier. And then I want to play this for
- 13:54you. If you haven't seen this, this
- 13:56is actually a report that I was a part of, investigative report,
- 14:02and they came to me to share about my random myelosis
- 14:05experience in the military. Had no idea how it was going to
- 14:08turn out, but I wanted to give information and share my story.
- 14:11And so just take a listen. This is my portion of the
- 14:16conversation for my experience in the military with random
- 14:20myelosis. According to the Cleveland
- 14:22Clinic, kidney injury occurs in up to half of rhabdo cases.
- 14:27My kidneys are at 50% each. It's a complication former
- 14:31Sergeant First class for on Dozier experienced first hand
- 14:35while serving in the Army in 2006.
- 14:38Everything was spent like 1,000,000 miles an hour.
- 14:40It happened during an Army physical fitness test right
- 14:43after the final Sprint of the two mile run for Ron was rushed
- 14:47to the hospital. Physically, I was in.
- 14:51I was in a very bad state. I had severe muscle damage.
- 14:54I could barely walk. But the mindset of a soldier,
- 14:57you don't complain. He survived the ordeal and tried
- 14:59to get back to his old self, but says ongoing health problems
- 15:03ultimately led to his medical retirement in 2013.
- 15:07I had a lot of mental and physical pain at that time.
- 15:10And the pain is still with him today.
- 15:12I've never recovered fully. I still deal with the Vertigo.
- 15:15If I move too fast or I move my head too fast, I could still
- 15:18trigger. It his life to spreading
- 15:21education and awareness about Rabdo.
- 15:25Anybody heard of Rabdo before? Engaging military personnel,
- 15:28athletes, and youth nationwide. You can experience it, or you
- 15:32might be the person that saves that person's life.
- 15:34Given the intense mental and physical requirements, Ferran
- 15:38says it's a conversation that's especially important in the
- 15:41military. There's a lot of push ups,
- 15:43there's a lot of mountain crawls.
- 15:45It's the repetitive drills. Soldiers and military personnel
- 15:48are. Our number one human.
- 15:50Asset and so figuring out ways to protect that so there we go
- 16:02with that one. So when you go to the website
- 16:04you can check that out there's some more PSA's there you can
- 16:08support us. This is one of the sheets that
- 16:10created that I passed out on social media.
- 16:13Just some basic facts about sickle cell trape in our
- 16:16conversation. One in 12 African Americans,
- 16:20they say one in 13 just depends on the documentation that you
- 16:22look at. And this is real.
- 16:25The muscle breakdown, collapse, exertional with rhythm,
- 16:29myelosis. There's warning signs, you know,
- 16:33in sports and athletics back in the day, you know, water was
- 16:38weakness, right? And so sometimes it seems like a
- 16:41coach would punish the athlete for for getting water or for,
- 16:46you know, trying to take a break during the exercises.
- 16:49And so we we know now that that's not the case.
- 16:52And so unfortunately there has been some some deaths connected
- 16:56to some trainers and some colleges and some military
- 16:59programs. And so we are still out just
- 17:02making sure people are aware that they have this information
- 17:05about sickle cell trade, especially for the sickle cell
- 17:08trade carriers during extreme exercise conditions, heat
- 17:13elevation places like Denver, Co.
- 17:16And then if you want more about the screening, you can go again
- 17:18to the website at WDC on sct.org.
- 17:22Shouts out to the Medi Lab up in Fresno.
- 17:24They are my partners since about 2014.
- 17:27And so they, we've done a lot of great work together in the
- 17:30community and we are ramping that up again with the Medi Lab.
- 17:35Again, this is me again in a photo video of me talking to the
- 17:39soldiers at the base. This is just some basic, basic
- 17:45awareness for the community. You can go to the site and you
- 17:48can read that information. If you want to contact me, you
- 17:50can click that. But you know, just gives a,
- 17:54gives you just some basic overall awareness information.
- 17:59And this is me. I didn't put the new one.
- 18:00I got to put the new one up there.
- 18:02This is my 10th proclamation. This was in the 9th.
- 18:06So I need to update this and put the current proclamation video
- 18:10up there for my 10th year. This video is me interviewing
- 18:14Dr. O'Connor back in, Oh my goodness, 2018 or somewhere
- 18:22around there. I was able to work with them
- 18:24and, and talk about my sickle cell trade experience.
- 18:29And this is the PSA that you saw earlier.
- 18:31So that is on the website for people to watch.
- 18:34And these are some of the specific areas that we focus on.
- 18:38It's, it's for everybody. It's a human being conversation,
- 18:41right? But for sometimes we need to
- 18:44focus on certain demographics or certain conversations.
- 18:47And so we got the military, the sickle cell trait.
- 18:50It's a public health issue. Yes, for all all these
- 18:53conversations, public health issue.
- 18:55So specifically for military with my personal experience in
- 18:58that collapsing and having rather myelosis for the
- 19:01dehydration and the heat stroke and, and the renal failure, as
- 19:05you saw in the investigative report, parents, a lot of
- 19:08parents don't know or they were sickle cell trait carriers.
- 19:14They forgot and then they forgot to tell the child that the child
- 19:17was a carrier. And so we like to remind parents
- 19:20and families and, and again, the implications of what can happen
- 19:24if to that child, if they are trade carriers, specifically
- 19:28sickle cell trade carriers and they see things going on with
- 19:33the athletic department of the coaches and they're not being
- 19:35taken care of or treated properly.
- 19:38And then that's worst case. You know, I was having a talk
- 19:41with my mom when I was getting my proclamation and you know,
- 19:44we've, we've lost some athletes, military personnel and some of
- 19:48the personnel, some of the athletes knew that they were
- 19:51trade carriers, right? The parents knew that they were
- 19:53trade carriers. And so share with my mom, it's
- 19:57like, you know, my my heart, our heart goes out to them because
- 20:01that that could have been my parents right in the story of
- 20:04the the big of it all. But to actually have that happen
- 20:08to a family that. That you are aware that the
- 20:10sickle cell trade could cause these complications and
- 20:13something happens to that child. You know, we pray that that
- 20:16family finds peace. We know that what resentment and
- 20:19regret and resentment could look like.
- 20:23And so we just pray that that family, you know, has an
- 20:27opportunity to heal and and and do what they do to honor that
- 20:31athlete or that soldiers legacy, their name as far as bringing
- 20:36more awareness. But we've seen it over and over
- 20:39since I've been an advocate for the last 16 years.
- 20:41And so just talking to my mom and like, at what point like do
- 20:45we have a conversation with that child, Right?
- 20:48And I'm no different because my daughter has sickle cell trait
- 20:51and, and she has a child and he doesn't have the trait.
- 20:54But I have to, you know, in my mind, I'm, I'm always concerned
- 20:59and not, I won't say always, but it's always there in the back of
- 21:02my mind to make sure that she's hydrated, to make sure that
- 21:05she's fine, that she's eating properly, because she does
- 21:09experience the same things that I've experienced with fatigue,
- 21:12right? And so when you look at that and
- 21:15you've experienced that for yourself, and then you have a
- 21:17seed, a child who also has that trait, then it's like, OK, just
- 21:21make sure you know that you're doing things that you need to do
- 21:24for your body. And if you're tired, you need to
- 21:27rest, you know, but it's difficult when you're young and
- 21:30you are aware even and still don't, you know, take that
- 21:34advice. And so the best I could do is
- 21:35just pray and just make sure that I remind her in a loving
- 21:40and caring way that, hey, make sure you take care of yourself.
- 21:43Make sure you're drinking water because you know you don't want
- 21:46anything to happen. Our health is wealth.
- 21:50Like we say that health is wealth, but do we live from that
- 21:53health as well? And for some of us, we don't
- 21:55live at that. And we talk about it, but we
- 21:57don't live from it. So you got the parents, you got
- 22:00the students. Again, the student got athletes
- 22:05biology classes. So I've I've speak, I've spoken
- 22:07in biology classes with the athletic departments.
- 22:10Coaches are on our list because again, the conversation around
- 22:14the coaches is very important, very, very important for
- 22:17coaches. We don't want trainers to get,
- 22:20you know, in trouble or or convicted or have any kind of
- 22:24issues, you know, by training some athletes who actually die
- 22:28under their care and under their watch.
- 22:29We don't, we don't want that to happen.
- 22:32Law enforcement, we've seen cadets and police academies and
- 22:35sheriff academies collapse and have had some serious
- 22:39complications and even some fatal complications in law
- 22:42enforcement training. So that is another area that I
- 22:45speak to. Professional athletes, of
- 22:47course, you know my shouts out to Ryan Clark, we lost Rodney
- 22:50Hillman. There's another, there's other
- 22:53athletes out there that are trade carriers who are opening
- 22:56up and sharing their causes and their experiences about their
- 22:58situations with the trade. And so professional athletes,
- 23:03CrossFit, the rhabdomyelosis, especially for the CrossFit,
- 23:07those two have gone hand in hand before I even knew about rhabdo,
- 23:12but a lot of CrossFit community experience rhabdo and the sickle
- 23:16cell trait, again, can be a part of that.
- 23:18But there are other things that can trigger rhabdomyelosis.
- 23:22Statin medications, cholesterol medications, other inherited
- 23:26genes. Sickle cell trait is just one of
- 23:28many, many things that could cause rhythm myelosis in
- 23:34conjunction with that expression, right?
- 23:36So there are other red blood cell conditions that can cause
- 23:38that. You could have a skeleton
- 23:39muscular gene that you don't know about that you exercise one
- 23:44day and it triggers that gene, that skeleton muscular gene to
- 23:48the express itself with the rhabdo.
- 23:49And now we have people who have had severe muscle damage and,
- 23:55and lost limbs and things like that from having rhythm myelosis
- 23:59and these other adhere to genes. So CrossFit is one of the areas
- 24:03again with firefighters, same thing, you know, that exertion
- 24:07when that oxygen tank and things like that.
- 24:09So a lot of that in training, a lot of stuff happens in training
- 24:15and the school awareness, as I said, going into the schools,
- 24:18educating the staff, the nurses, the teachers, physical PE
- 24:21teachers, those conversations are very, very important.
- 24:26And not just the school nurses, but the nurses and the hospitals
- 24:29and the doctor's offices, right? Because sometimes they only get
- 24:33a couple of paragraphs of pages to study sickle cell trade in
- 24:37their education. So they don't really get the
- 24:39insurance and outs and the details about sickle cell trade
- 24:41unless they go into a field or an area where they actually work
- 24:45on people are connected to people with sickle cell trade or
- 24:48sickle cell, right? And of course, when it comes to
- 24:51having relationships and creating a family so that that
- 24:54marriage counseling conversation right there, couples with sickle
- 24:57cell trade, we don't, we don't tell people, you know what you
- 25:01did, what you should do, what you shouldn't do as far as
- 25:03getting married and having children, because we know, but
- 25:08depends on what you believe in. But God, God knows.
- 25:11And then if you were born with this inherited gene or any type
- 25:14of inherited gene and your family, you, you, you, you want
- 25:18to know that you were chosen for that.
- 25:20Like God gave us those genes and they may have a whole nother
- 25:24view in the world right about that gene.
- 25:27But then we're born for a purpose.
- 25:29If you believe that we're born with these genes that express
- 25:32themselves because we have a voice, we have a personal
- 25:34experience. And so when you look at that,
- 25:38you know, my, my dad didn't get a chance to pick what gene he
- 25:42was going to pass to me and my mother's womb right during that
- 25:46time. So it's all about your
- 25:49perception, your perspective, your interpretation of how you
- 25:52live. We have, I advocate with people
- 25:54with lupus and all different types of chronic illnesses.
- 25:57And so even with depression and anxiety, maybe that is your
- 26:01experience that you can learn about it and then go and share
- 26:05with someone who is dealing with that conversation, right?
- 26:08So those are important. And then of course, pregnancy
- 26:11for sickle cell trait, we had to educate my daughter that she
- 26:14knew that, hey, make sure you know your blood work is is up to
- 26:18date, is current. Make sure they know what your
- 26:20blood type is. Because in case you're giving
- 26:22birth and you start losing blood, they can make sure that
- 26:25they have blood on hand because you need to have specific types
- 26:28of blood and they didn't know, you know your risk factors
- 26:32during your pregnancy for having sickle cell trade.
- 26:35It's not sickle cell disease. It is the case is a sickle cell
- 26:38trait where they just the carriers, right?
- 26:40We carry your status. But it is we're learning is not
- 26:44benign. We're learning that there are
- 26:46complications with sickle cell trade, as you'll see through
- 26:49this page in this website as we get into this conversation.
- 26:53All right, so there's the awareness, the education and the
- 26:56prevention conversations around sickle cell trade.
- 26:59It's inherited 50% chance that you can have sickle cell trade
- 27:03and both parents are sickle cell trade carriers.
- 27:05And then there's a 25% chance that the child can have sickle
- 27:08cell trade and, or nothing at all.
- 27:13Right. And then today, of course, if
- 27:14you got the money, you can actually go and, and, and pull
- 27:17those, those eggs and those sperm cells out and look for
- 27:20the, the ones that are not defective and then create a
- 27:23child that has no genes. But if you can afford that,
- 27:28that's another conversation. There are a lot of myths and
- 27:32stigmas around sickle cell, sickle cell trait.
- 27:35So I got some listed there. You can go there and read those.
- 27:39What it takes to live a normal life, whatever you determine
- 27:41what is normal, I can tell you that.
- 27:44Yeah, I had to really look back in my life and kind of scale
- 27:48back because my life was no longer the same after I
- 27:52collapsed. I I had a lot of health
- 27:54challenges and still deal with it and never fully recovered.
- 27:57So how I used to exercise and play basketball and do all the
- 28:00stuff I used to back then prior to that date?
- 28:0520 years ago. I, I, I can't, there's some
- 28:09things I just can't do that I used to do.
- 28:11And it is sometimes difficult when your mind says yes, but
- 28:15your body says no, but not or not.
- 28:18This has been a conversation we've been having the last few
- 28:20years, discovering that there are some risk factors and the
- 28:23medical community finally, you know, coming to some studies and
- 28:27saying, OK, you know what, in certain conditions, sickle cell
- 28:30tray can be a problem and also with blood clots and things like
- 28:33that. So yes, even a rare kidney
- 28:37cancer. So when you go to that page,
- 28:39Doctor Maisha is there. You can go and click on her.
- 28:41She is one of our board members. She is a doctor licensed in
- 28:44about 12 states. She can do telehealth.
- 28:49So if you're a sickle cell trait or sickle cell patient and you
- 28:52need some assistance, you can go to her practice, do a
- 28:57consultation for free. And then if you want to work
- 29:00with her to have her help you communicate more effectively
- 29:03with your doctor, or you want her to be the doctor that treats
- 29:07you for a period of time so that you can figure out what's going
- 29:10on with your health. Those are the things that we're
- 29:11doing not just for sickle cell trait or sickle cell.
- 29:15We're doing it for rhabdo community, for the lupus
- 29:18community, for, again, the chronic illnesses because she is
- 29:20the doctor. So she can help you go over your
- 29:23blood work paperwork. Make sure you understand what
- 29:25the doctor, your doctor saying to you.
- 29:27If you're not feeling like you're being heard by your
- 29:29physician, we are providing that service now through her
- 29:32practice. Know your trait status and the
- 29:38and the risk. So just some more details there,
- 29:41what to recognize. You got to pay attention to your
- 29:44body. That's the best thing I can tell
- 29:45you if you learn anything from me today is just pay attention
- 29:49to your body. It is so important to pay
- 29:52attention to your body. It will tell you when there's
- 29:53something going on. It will tell you when there's
- 29:55something you're not feeling well.
- 29:58But that's the issue that we have sometimes with us as
- 30:02veterans and athletes, we push past those those bodies
- 30:06sensation. We push past because we want to,
- 30:07you know, that that mind, the mind is developed and trained to
- 30:11to do these in extreme conditions.
- 30:14But you've got to be able to listen to your body.
- 30:16And if you need to take a break, you need to take that break to
- 30:19give your body a chance to recover.
- 30:22So again, this is just more information, basic, basic, basic
- 30:28information. If you'd like for me to come and
- 30:30speak at your facility, at your military base, at your school,
- 30:35you can click there, you can book me and have a conversation
- 30:38with me, and then we can set that up and I'll come out to
- 30:41your school and talk with you. And then we got the military
- 30:45tour right here. So here is another video with me
- 30:48speaking at the military base. There's the investigative report
- 30:51there. And then just these are some of
- 30:54the bullet points that I have around sickle cell trade.
- 30:59There's me at another proclamation meeting.
- 31:05There's me again, speak with more soldiers.
- 31:07So it all depends on, you know, who shows up at that time at the
- 31:11base, but no one know if it's six soldiers, I'm up there for
- 31:16the six soldiers. More information at WDC and SCT
- 31:20get screened. What's the count?
- 31:22That's me. KC Radio.
- 31:24If you again like to support the conversation, you can donate
- 31:29there, but I shout out to KC Radio for those military talks.
- 31:32Again, the PSA, I'm also a youth speaker and A and a Deacon at
- 31:39church and the speaker at my church.
- 31:41So I speak at 2 churches. I'm a Deacon at my main church
- 31:43and I'm a youth speaker at my cousin's church at the New Earth
- 31:45Christian Church. So second Sundays I deliver a
- 31:48message, but also my testimony is in the Bible.
- 31:51God showed me that inheritage gene that he gave me in my
- 31:54mother's womb to be an advocate for to deliver this message.
- 31:57But also when I saw the blueprint in the Bible, you can
- 32:01go and read that Judges chapter 4.
- 32:03You can click that as well. I don't know how long is this
- 32:05video. Let's let's see what am I what
- 32:07am I talking about right here? Well, no, that's the full that's
- 32:11the full clip right there. So you might want to go there if
- 32:13you want to watch that full sermon, me sharing about my
- 32:17experience with sickle cell trade.
- 32:19Let me let me see if I can play a little bit for you.
- 32:21When? I'm talking about great.
- 32:22And when I ask you about your why, I also want to share with
- 32:29you these five questions to ask yourself as you start to examine
- 32:35self, examine yourself for your purpose or your passion or your
- 32:38gift. And is who am I like?
- 32:42Who are you like? Not your skin, not your race,
- 32:46but who are you connected to the word?
- 32:50Where are you from? You know, a lot of people are
- 32:53challenged with where am I from? Like where my from is, is it
- 32:56science? You believe in science or you
- 32:58believe in the word of God or where we come from.
- 33:02And then why am I here? And that's why am I born like he
- 33:07said that he, he knew was in our mother's womb.
- 33:11So we're born for a reason. I discovered that yes, I was a
- 33:14leader in the military over soldiers, but also in God's
- 33:19Word, I'm a leader in a conversation that he brought me
- 33:21here to serve right to deliver this message.
- 33:24Thank. You and then what can I do and
- 33:27that's a lot of times we looking for identity crisis, but what
- 33:31can you do within yourself? What are you what are your
- 33:33natural things that you can do? And then my dad used to talk
- 33:38about this one is where am I going?
- 33:41Where is my destiny? I was my dad.
- 33:43He always talked about destiny. Even when he was sitting next to
- 33:46me, he was like, well, this must be my destiny because I'm still
- 33:48with you, right? I'm.
- 33:50Like, OK, OK, I didn't get it at the time.
- 33:54I got it now, Pops. And so when we look at Judges
- 33:58Chapter 4, the story about Deborah, Barack, I'm going to
- 34:01give you the characters. And so Deborah was the
- 34:06prophetess during that time and she judged the community there.
- 34:10My mentor Phyllis, I met, she had a sickle cell organization
- 34:15in Georgia called the SCD Soldier Network.
- 34:18And as I started to develop my conversation in sickle cell
- 34:22trait, I was looking for organizations to connect with
- 34:25and people because I'm like, there's a whole community of
- 34:27people out here I don't have to know about.
- 34:29And so I end up finding her organization on Facebook.
- 34:32We connected. I flew to the 30th annual
- 34:35conference in Maryland for the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation,
- 34:39and I have prepared my brochure. I have my gear, I have T-shirts
- 34:43and everything packaged up. And Kiki Shepherd was the host
- 34:47of that event that year. And so I went into the town hall
- 34:50meeting, sat down, and I got close to her.
- 34:53When she came around with the microphone, I waved my hand so I
- 34:55could have an opportunity to speak.
- 34:57And my turn came. I spoke.
- 35:00I and I. Had my flight, I introduced
- 35:02myself to the community. I'm Ferran Dozy.
- 35:04I'm a retired, I'm retiring, I'm still in the military, but I
- 35:07have sickle cell trait. This is my experience and I'm
- 35:09here to just kind of share to get involved.
- 35:12And it was like silence. I was like, OK, so one of the
- 35:17doctors asked me to see my brochure.
- 35:19And so she I showed her that. And then, you know, I'm end up
- 35:22meeting with Phyllis. But I didn't, I really didn't
- 35:25feel welcome. Like I really didn't have that
- 35:27welcoming experience. Phyllis and I talked and she
- 35:30said for and I know how important sickle cell trade is.
- 35:32That's that. I mean, that's where it starts.
- 35:34We got to educate our carriers. And so she took me under her
- 35:37wing. And as Deborah and Barack, when
- 35:40you read that passage, you know their relationship was, you
- 35:44know, he he was called to fight this war on Sicera.
- 35:47But he tells her I'm not going to go unless you go with.
- 35:50Me. Right.
- 35:52And so she told him, like, if I go with you, you're not going to
- 35:54get the glory a woman is. And, and for me, that's how I
- 35:58was with her. I started going to events with
- 36:00her, whatever she needed me to do.
- 36:01It wasn't about me being in charge, even though I was in the
- 36:04military, But to have a woman be a mentor.
- 36:07Some men are challenged by having women over them, right
- 36:10and their and their careers and in their life.
- 36:12But as a mentor, she took me under her wing and she shared
- 36:16with me what kind of person I need to be for this community,
- 36:19You know, not to just go show up and say your speak your mind and
- 36:23then leave. No, you want to leave your
- 36:24footprint. You want to have a place in that
- 36:26community where they can come to you.
- 36:27So it's just don't go share your the story and leave.
- 36:30You want to integrate yourself in that community so they can
- 36:32have you to come to if they have questions.
- 36:34And so she taught me all that conversation.
- 36:37And then when you go to the scripture of Judges Chapter 4,
- 36:41Barack was called to fight that war on Sisera.
- 36:43And again, he said, I'm not going to go unless you go.
- 36:47So they went together, but she told them you're not going to
- 36:49get the glory. And that's, that's me.
- 36:51I don't, it's not about, you know what I get out of this.
- 36:54I, I do it for free. I, it's not important.
- 36:57I, I just want to share this message.
- 36:58And that's what's most important.
- 37:00It's not about the victory for me.
- 37:01It's about mobilizing the community so people become aware
- 37:05of the sickle cell trade and the 300 million people plus that
- 37:08carry this gene, my Lord. So now as they go up to Mount
- 37:12Tabor, he was told to gather 10,000 soldiers and go up to
- 37:16Mount Tabor. And then God was going to, you
- 37:18know, do his thing in which God made it rain and that river of
- 37:22Kishan became muddy right now, I had a friend who passed away
- 37:28recently. Her name was Krishan.
- 37:31And we met also at the same time during our meeting with Phyllis.
- 37:36And so when she just got this passage, she was at in Georgia
- 37:41at a meeting and a prophet came in and says you need to read
- 37:44Judges chapter 4. And so she was like, OK, and you
- 37:47know. And.
- 37:48Brought it home and so Monday morning she calls me she's like
- 37:50for on you need to get your Bible.
- 37:52I'm like, OK, so I get my Bible and we're reading this passage
- 37:56and we're crying because we could see the revelation of how
- 38:00this relates to our relationship and but not even just us, but
- 38:04the community and this conversation around sickle cell.
- 38:08So as he was told to gather those 10,000 soldiers, they went
- 38:11to Mount Tabor. God made it rain.
- 38:13That river of Krishan became muddy.
- 38:15God tells Deborah, OK, it's time to go fight this war.
- 38:21They come down now. Now Barack has some doubt.
- 38:25Obviously you can see he had doubt like he trusted God, he
- 38:28knew God, but he still had a level of doubt.
- 38:31How could he have such a doubt being a soldier?
- 38:34He was the soldier in the military, but he still had a
- 38:37level of doubt. And I could see myself still in
- 38:40that as I'm developing my walk, right?
- 38:42We all have a little doubt. We kind of questioned God.
- 38:44Like, Are you sure, man? Am I, am I really supposed to be
- 38:46this advocate? Does anybody care about my
- 38:48conversation, God? Like sometimes I wake up in the
- 38:51morning and I'm like doubting, like I know I have a common
- 38:54voice in this, a conversation, but do people really care?
- 38:57Like, what am I doing? And so I could see myself even
- 39:00today, as in Barack, having that little doubt in God.
- 39:06But he goes to fight this war. Cicera here's at the war that
- 39:09the war has started. So he grabs his 900 Chariots of
- 39:13iron. Now.
- 39:14Again, when you look in sickle cell, it is a iron deficiency
- 39:19type of disorder. So when we read that nine, that
- 39:23Cicera 900 chairs of iron, it made sense like oh, you got to
- 39:28be kidding. Like OK, so now this is the real
- 39:30story. Now Cicera represents sickle
- 39:33cell, the anemia. He represents the disease.
- 39:39So as Cicero goes to attack Barack, he crosses that river of
- 39:46Kishan and guess what? Those nine hundreds of chairs of
- 39:50iron sink in the mud because they're so heavy.
- 39:56So now as Barack comes down the hill, he attacks Cicero's army
- 40:00and defeats his army because they could not use those
- 40:03Chariots to defend themselves. So they dismounted, they had the
- 40:07combat, and they were defeated. Now Cicero takes off running in
- 40:13the desert. Now out in the desert, you'll
- 40:16see that there's a tent, and it's JL.
- 40:20She's set up in the tent by herself, and she sees Cicero
- 40:24running, you know, in her area. And she waves him in.
- 40:29Oh, come in. Oh, she recognized him.
- 40:30Come in, come in, come in. And so JL represents the
- 40:34community. So we have my mentor, Phyllis,
- 40:38who's Deborah. I'm Barack.
- 40:41In the passage, Cicera represents sickle cell, and JL
- 40:45represents the community. Now, over Cicera's army is a guy
- 40:50named Jabin. He was the general.
- 40:53And Jabin represents sickle cell trade.
- 40:56So those are the characters in that passage.
- 40:58And then for us, this is what this looks like as we are
- 41:02starting to create our work in the sickle cell community.
- 41:07So when JL sees Sister of Running, she waves him into the
- 41:11tent. He comes into the tent and says,
- 41:13hey, if any man come here, tell him that there's no man here.
- 41:17And she's like, yeah, yeah, OK, OK.
- 41:19And so he sits down and he's like, I'm thirsty.
- 41:22And so she doesn't give him water, she gives him milk.
- 41:27And now how that relates is what if you give a person milk, warm
- 41:31milk, they're going to like a baby.
- 41:33They're going to go to sleep. They're going to be relaxed and
- 41:35calm. If you give a person water,
- 41:37they're going to be hydrated, right?
- 41:38So she gave him milk and he laid down.
- 41:41And she also says, like, are you tired?
- 41:43And we're in like in verse 17 now and we're like, are you
- 41:47tired? And she's like, yeah, I'm tired.
- 41:48So she lays, says, lay down in the corner.
- 41:50She gets a blanket and covers them up.
- 41:54Now she goes outside and she grabs this tin peg and a hammer
- 41:59and she's spikes him right through his skull and pins him
- 42:04to the ground. And then she goes to her door
- 42:08and she sees Barack running and she says that the man you're
- 42:11looking for is in here. Now how that plays out again for
- 42:16me is, is to mobilize the community around Sickle Cell,
- 42:20which is those 10,000 troops that that he was called to do.
- 42:25It wasn't about Barack getting the glory because JL took out
- 42:30Sisera in her tent. So JL represent the community.
- 42:34My job is to mobilize the community, get this message out.
- 42:37The community wins. Not for Ron, the community wins
- 42:40because that's what sickle cell trait.
- 42:42Sickle cell hides out. A lot of people don't know that
- 42:45they have this gene. They don't know that the risk
- 42:47factors are there. They don't know they can cause
- 42:48sudden death. They don't know these health
- 42:50complications that come with sickle cell trait because it
- 42:53hasn't been addressed. So when we saw that reading
- 42:57that, that morning, I was like, OK, God, I get it.
- 43:00Like I get it like you've shown us literally the blueprint of my
- 43:06conversation and what it looks like.
- 43:09And again, I still have to manage that doubt.
- 43:11I still ask myself those five questions because I'm
- 43:15continuously, continuously searching, searching, searching
- 43:19my heart, searching God for this message.
- 43:21I know that I'm called to serve this conversation.
- 43:24I know I have a voice in this. And I understand that it's not
- 43:27about Ferran, that this is about the community.
- 43:30And So what happens at the end of that passage is Jabin, who is
- 43:34the general also gets captured and taken down.
- 43:37And so now the war on Sicera is over.
- 43:40And so Sicera is done. Jabin is is taken care of and.
- 43:46So as you hear, I appreciate you.
- 43:48So that is the just part of the conversation that I have at
- 43:52church that is I'm going to be able to go it around different
- 43:55churches and deliver that message.
- 43:57But that is I think that was the first time I delivered that
- 44:01message actually, right? So just make sure when you go to
- 44:04the website, you can click around here on all the different
- 44:07tabs takes you to your personal health.
- 44:11There's some more clips right there.
- 44:12This is my mom right here. She's dropping some knowledge on
- 44:15folks. Exactly.
- 44:17Let me interject as a parent too, you know, we have to pay
- 44:20attention to things too in our children.
- 44:22You know, everything. You just don't castaway like,
- 44:24oh, it's nothing or it's a virus or whatever, whatever, 'cause
- 44:27even with Farron, when he was younger, what, 7-8 years old, he
- 44:30used to complain of his joints and I would take him to the
- 44:34pediatrician and they would say was growing pains.
- 44:37Yeah. Honestly, they would say was
- 44:39growing pains and you know, and, and, and so, OK, well, you know,
- 44:42he's growing. But again, we found out later
- 44:45when he was an adult with 2006, maybe it was not just growing
- 44:49pains because this thing came upon him, you know, and nobody
- 44:53knew, you know, and then bam, you know, he's here living to be
- 44:57able to talk about it. But statistically, most people
- 44:59who get to the point of exertion that he got to are now no longer
- 45:02here. So it was just God, you know,
- 45:06and his purpose and destiny to actually be an advocate for the
- 45:10things that he's doing now, because he's not technically,
- 45:13he's not statistically supposed to even be here speaking with us
- 45:16now. Exactly, that's my mom.
- 45:19Shout out to my mom's has been a huge, huge supporter in this
- 45:23conversation. I thank her so much.
- 45:25Again, you just going to go around the website, you're going
- 45:28to see different conversations. You're going to see
- 45:30presentations that I've done. And then like I said, for the
- 45:34other communities where we at the Hispanic black community,
- 45:40you are #2 we can be Caucasian, Mediterranean, Asian descent.
- 45:44So there's some more information.
- 45:45There's the PSA that I played for you earlier, and there's
- 45:49just more commercials, more PSAS, more information
- 45:52specifically for the Hispanic community.
- 45:54Again, the percentages again we talked for athletes that plays
- 45:59all different sports from soccer to baseball, basketball, track
- 46:02and field, CrossFit, military police, some more missing
- 46:05stigmas there Our mission and here's some facts about the Lac
- 46:09community. About one in 100 have sickle
- 46:11cell trait and then about 73 out of 1000 births around sickle
- 46:17cell. So you know these these are the
- 46:21conversations. These are the conversations.
- 46:23One in 16,300 have sickle cell disease in Hispanic community,
- 46:29right? So it's not a skin color, it's a
- 46:33bloodline conversation, right? And so again, you can go there
- 46:37and then what else we got, we got I'm going to Africa.
- 46:41So if you want to find out some more information about that, but
- 46:45all the proceeds will go to my trip cover the airfare, the
- 46:49hotel, the food, all that lodging and everything you can
- 46:52donate to that. It's about $6000 something total
- 46:56cost. You can go there.
- 46:59More information in the here at the bottom.
- 47:01So these are all other tabs at the bottom, again, you can click
- 47:03on those, but also at the top there's more drop downs.
- 47:07You can come here. And then this is the crew.
- 47:10So you can see, here's my dad. I got some stuff about my dad.
- 47:13This is me sharing my story about my dad and being an
- 47:17advocate here for me, you know? And then here's Alan with his
- 47:22story and then there's more pictures about my dad.
- 47:26So I'm very grateful. Shouts out to my pops.
- 47:29I'm going to take APSA break real quick and then come back
- 47:34and drop some more knowledge on you right here on the Frondose
- 47:37show on the military broadcast radio network.
- 47:41Shala Sabos account or what we going to play first?
- 47:44Oh, let's play. Let's play some music.
- 47:47This is one of my favorite, favorite military conversations
- 47:51right here. All right, the Frondose show NB
- 47:54Radio dot US Shala Sabos account.

- 52:01Do you remember studying sickle cell in biology class?
- 52:04What's the count on? Sickle Cell Trait Prevention is
- 52:06here to bring you awareness, education and prevention
- 52:09conversations around the risk factors of this inherited gene.
- 52:12Visit WDCON sct.org. Hey.
- 52:42Mister Man, how you doing? You really want to.
- 52:56Know exhaustion, muscle spasm, asthmatic issues, unexpected
- 53:04sickle cell trait trait. Damn are.
- 53:07You serious? When I was young, I found out I
- 53:09had sickle cell trait. My mom's told me but I didn't
- 53:12have no knowledge of it. But when I got older, I had a
- 53:15child and the doctor told me my daughter had sickle cell trait.
- 53:18You know, the fact that both parents have sickle cell trait,
- 53:20there's a 50% chance the child may have the trait and 25%
- 53:24chance the child may have the disease.
- 53:26Man, that's what's the count. Do you know that 2.5 million
- 53:28people in the United States have sickle cell trade?
- 53:30300 million people globally. I didn't find out I had sickle
- 53:33cell trade until I was in the Army 10 years.
- 53:36Next thing you know, I had a sickle cell trade.
- 53:37Exertion site. I thought that was a black gene
- 53:41or something. Nah, man, the black community.
- 53:43Is number. 21 out of 36,000 babies are being born with
- 53:46sickle cell disease. You could be Caucasian,
- 53:48Mediterranean, European. You got rid of a bloodline, man.
- 53:54There is an inherited gene in our community that has been
- 53:57forgotten. The name is sickle cell trade.
- 53:59WDCONSCT, also known as What's the Count, is out to bring
- 54:04awareness, education and prevention to people all over
- 54:07the globe. Want more information?
- 54:09Call us now at 323. 2155384. Or visit www.wdconsct.org.
- 54:29All right, all right, welcome back to the Frondose show right
- 54:33here on the Military Broadcast Radio Network.
- 54:36Again, I hope you've enjoyed this conversation.
- 54:38Very educational, information based awareness, education and
- 54:43prevention. There's a lot of things that I'm
- 54:45starting to notice as I've grown in my advocacy program and I've
- 54:51grown as a person in my conversations and how I talk
- 54:54and, you know, being now a part of the back into the Kingdom
- 54:58with the, as a Kingdom citizen and just my relationship with
- 55:01Christ and the Holy Spirit and with God.
- 55:03And, and I'm just starting to notice that there's some
- 55:07conversations that I'm, I have to articulate a little bit more
- 55:11effectively. And I say that because, you
- 55:16know, at the end of the day, we don't know when, where, why, how
- 55:22people die. Like I, I, I can't.
- 55:26And so yes, I, I, I want to share this information, you
- 55:30know, to help people understand, to give people information so
- 55:34they can make these informed choices, these informed
- 55:36decisions based off of the knowledge and how it relates to
- 55:41them and how they're, how they look at their body when they
- 55:43examine themselves and they go to the doctor and find out, hey,
- 55:46you know what, I love playing football.
- 55:49But based on what the doctor's telling me and my health, maybe
- 55:52it's not a good idea. Maybe I should go and maybe find
- 55:56another way to be connected to sports, maybe go and be a find
- 56:00another way to talk to be a connected to football or
- 56:03whatever that job is. Not saying that you can't do it,
- 56:07but it's making that informed choice beforehand, not after the
- 56:12fact. Right.
- 56:13And so for me to continue to say, you know, we are we trying
- 56:16to prevent these deaths. I mean, ultimately, yeah, that's
- 56:19that's pretty much what it is. But at the same time, I don't
- 56:22get a say so and how, when, where or why people die, right?
- 56:28And so when we do see people in the media and the news collapse
- 56:32and they die and, and, and they're connected to these
- 56:34conversations that we care about, it just reminds us how
- 56:37important our message is, right? And so can we prevent premature
- 56:43deaths? I mean, yes, if you take care of
- 56:45yourself. I mean, but at the end of the
- 56:46day, like my mom was saying, like we don't know if that's the
- 56:50way that person supposed to die on that football field or in the
- 56:53in that military training. Like maybe that's what God had
- 56:56for them or maybe because they're not under the, it's
- 57:00like, how do you determine that? Like we don't get it.
- 57:03I only get an opinion. I only get an opinion on the
- 57:06how, when, where and why people die.
- 57:10And so I'm starting to be responsible for my language, for
- 57:12how I talk of things that I say because we don't want to give
- 57:17false hope. We don't want to, you know,
- 57:19perpetuate these conversations. Like we're going to save
- 57:21everybody and nobody's going to have problems.
- 57:23And like we all have that in common that we will end up
- 57:28dying, you know, and maybe we will want to die too soon or we
- 57:31live in denial that I'm never going to.
- 57:33We don't die. But like, whatever that is,
- 57:35grief is a real conversation. It's a serious conversation.
- 57:39And so when we talk about these awareness campaigns and the
- 57:42conversations of people, these are real lives.
- 57:45And many people that experience rhythm, rhythm myelosis, that
- 57:47their whole lives have changed, their whole lives have been
- 57:49impacted. People with sickle cell trait,
- 57:53their whole life has been impacted.
- 57:55Mind was impacted. I'm still not this.
- 57:57I'm not the same person. My body is not the same.
- 58:00I look fine on the outside, but if I tell you what's going on
- 58:03with my body, with my genes, I'm, I'm in pain.
- 58:06And we don't want to pretend. We want to be able to speak
- 58:10freely and educate people, tell the truth to myself 1st and then
- 58:14tell the truth to others that hey, this is this is real life
- 58:18and these, these are the things. That's what this was possible.
- 58:21Not every trait person is going to have these kind of
- 58:23complications. Not every trait person is going
- 58:25to experience these kind of complications.
- 58:28But I do know when I came in this scene with the sickle cell
- 58:31community, there were some people who had sickle cell
- 58:34disease or anemia that had children because they were told
- 58:38that the child's not going to have any problems.
- 58:41Now, Now can you, can you, can you put yourself in that
- 58:44situation to then realize that you live with a type of sickle
- 58:48cell and then you give birth to a child who has sickle cell
- 58:52trait. And now sickle cell trait is
- 58:53possibly known for having health complications as well.
- 58:56Like that's a whole nother, you know, mental health aspect of
- 59:00this work that we haven't even touched on today.
- 59:03I haven't even really touched on the mental health aspect of it,
- 59:07right? But that's what it looks like.
- 59:11So there's so many conversations, there's so much
- 59:13information out there and it's just not, it just has not been
- 59:17shared effectively. And I'm here to share that as
- 59:20much as possible, right? So WDC on ONSCT, that's what's
- 59:27the count on sickle cell trade prevention.
- 59:28You can go there, get information right, and find out
- 59:33what's in your genes. If you have questions, please
- 59:36feel free to hit me up. I'm available from the website,
- 59:42social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
- 59:45You can find me at Frondosie right here.
- 59:50So wherever you need to come ask me some questions, I'm more than
- 59:53welcome to help. Again, Doctor Maisha has her
- 59:56practice. We do.
- 59:57We do free consultations and then you can choose to work with
- 1:00:02her or not. Again, she's licensed in about
- 1:00:0410 or 12 different states. And so depending on where you're
- 1:00:07located, she could actually treat you and help you get your,
- 1:00:10your health in order and even work with you as a consult and
- 1:00:17help you provide information to your doctor, even in our sickle
- 1:00:20cell community, because sometimes we don't feel like the
- 1:00:22doctors pay attention or listen to us.
- 1:00:23So we can be that advocate for you with medical documentation
- 1:00:28from a doctor to have them, Hey, you need to go look at this
- 1:00:30person's blood work or you need to ask some questions to us,
- 1:00:35then we want to be that space to help, right?
- 1:00:38All right, so this is the last segment here.
- 1:00:43Last few minutes you saw the the social media post Life of a.
- 1:00:50So life of a is my series. This is something that I have,
- 1:00:57like I said, the single cell trait is just one aspect of it.
- 1:00:59You know, the military, that was my means to get to be in front
- 1:01:03of you today to talk about my sickle cell trade.
- 1:01:06But there's a whole nother side of me that I had to go through
- 1:01:11and and start to heal and peel these layers off to discover who
- 1:01:15Faron is even outside of being an advocate without just who am
- 1:01:19I, right? So who I am is that others see
- 1:01:23the greatness through myself expression that are empowered in
- 1:01:25their causes, also discovering their Peace of Mind in their
- 1:01:29language, all while being here. That's HERE, here and here HEAR
- 1:01:37as a listening right? And ultimately working on my own
- 1:01:42eternal life and salvation. So that's who I get to be.
- 1:01:44No identity, just who I get to be when I show up is that
- 1:01:48listening. And so there's a ministry that
- 1:01:50God has given me that I had to start to peel off and take a
- 1:01:54look at at age 40. And I've been going back in time
- 1:01:58in my heart searching these, these memories and these
- 1:02:02feelings and these emotion and these body sensation and this,
- 1:02:05this, this fear of not being good enough and not worth it.
- 1:02:08And all these emotional things that that I've been dealing with
- 1:02:12that I discovered happen to be not in my adult life, but in my
- 1:02:17childhood phases. So I want to share with you the
- 1:02:22site. We bring it up here we go right
- 1:02:28here, add to this page. So we're going to go there.
- 1:02:33We're going to go there. We're going to go there.
- 1:02:36All right. So this is my site.
- 1:02:41This is WDC, part of my WDC work.
- 1:02:46This is where I have my inspirational talks.
- 1:02:53So I, I went to God and I'm like, man, like, who am I?
- 1:02:57Like those five questions that you heard me ask in that, in
- 1:03:00that video, I was asking myself, and who am I like, why am I
- 1:03:04born? Why am I here?
- 1:03:05Like, if I have a purpose, like, what do you want me to do?
- 1:03:09Who am I supposed to be? And so he gave me some
- 1:03:14information. He gave me a conversation and I
- 1:03:18discovered it. And when I discovered it, I was
- 1:03:22like, Oh, my goodness, like, like what?
- 1:03:26And so there was a lot of things going on in my mind since I was
- 1:03:31a child, Thoughts, feelings, emotions that I didn't
- 1:03:36understand. And in my transition out of the
- 1:03:41military, the things that I were dealing with, not only did I
- 1:03:45figure out, you know, some identity crisis, but I also was
- 1:03:49able to go back to my childhood and start to reconcile some of
- 1:03:53these stories that I had in my mind.
- 1:03:55And so I have been able to go all the way back to age 2, which
- 1:04:00is that picture you see there and the light blue.
- 1:04:03That's me, the life of a 2 year old.
- 1:04:07And we got the life of a 5 year old life of an 8 year old, life
- 1:04:14of a six year old, 11 year old, 1423 and 36 as me with the Red
- 1:04:21Hat. And so I was able to take those
- 1:04:24experiences, those stories in my mind, start to unravel them with
- 1:04:29personal development classes, with cognitive behavior therapy
- 1:04:33with grief cast, grief counseling with and then
- 1:04:36ultimately with church and being able to find these passages in
- 1:04:40the Bible, in the scriptures about strongholds and
- 1:04:42afflictions. And you know, the fall and in
- 1:04:46Genesis with Adam and Eve and what God was pointing to and
- 1:04:49talked about that he told Adam, like, if you eat of that tree of
- 1:04:53knowledge of good and evil, you will surely die.
- 1:04:56And it wasn't just the physical death, it was an emotional
- 1:04:58death. And and that's what happened
- 1:05:00when they ate that when he ate not when, not when Eve, when Eve
- 1:05:03ate and nothing happened, nothing happened to her when she
- 1:05:07ate it. It was when he ate it because he
- 1:05:08was the one instructed. And when he ate that food, he
- 1:05:12was exposed to good and evil. And there began of the
- 1:05:16strongholds and, and the shame and the embarrassment,
- 1:05:19disappointment. And I you, you can just read it
- 1:05:21all through the passage and even the corrections that God put in
- 1:05:24place when he discovered that, Hey, where are you Adam?
- 1:05:28Where you at? Who told you you was naked,
- 1:05:32right? Those are, those are the
- 1:05:33passages. And so when you go back and you
- 1:05:35look at that and you put your life in those stories, you start
- 1:05:37to unravel and like, Oh my gosh, you know, I made-up a lot of
- 1:05:41stories in my life, about 12 to 17 or 18 stories that I made-up
- 1:05:46that I'm discovering are not the truth.
- 1:05:49They were my truth, but there wasn't the truth.
- 1:05:53And so I've been able to I didn't I no plans on being an
- 1:05:56author and I'm not even interested in being an author.
- 1:06:00However, God put on my heart that I can share my story with
- 1:06:04people. And so I was introduced by a
- 1:06:08gentleman. We were doing a career day
- 1:06:11couple years ago and he was like, hey, you, I I wrote these
- 1:06:16inspirational reads. He had a severe car crash, went
- 1:06:19off the Cliff from Mahollan Dr. and survived that car crash.
- 1:06:23And he put on his heart to write his story in a, in a, you know,
- 1:06:28short 10510 page pamphlet. And then he passed it out to
- 1:06:33people so they could read it. And he said that's what he did.
- 1:06:36And I was like, what? And so he was like, yeah,
- 1:06:38inspirational reads, they call them.
- 1:06:40And so all those ideas that I had about trying to make a book,
- 1:06:44I didn't want a book. And so I broke them out into
- 1:06:46this life of a different series. And each one of those is a story
- 1:06:51about my life and about that story of how I discovered where
- 1:06:55those decisions and where those things were coming from.
- 1:06:59And so when you go to that page on my website from d.com, you
- 1:07:05will be able to take a look and look around and see that this is
- 1:07:10this is this is my story, you know, the sickle cell trait.
- 1:07:14All that led me to discover these stories here, which are,
- 1:07:20you know, a testimony for sure, but they're relatable in many
- 1:07:24cases because this is what human beings go through.
- 1:07:27And so that first one of the life of a 2 year old is titled
- 1:07:30Disconnected with Love. That was about my mom and my
- 1:07:33grandmother. I just about a month and a half
- 1:07:38ago uprooted that 2 year old decision that I made about my
- 1:07:42mom and my grandmother between those two that I was unsafe in
- 1:07:45relationships, that I was lost in relationships.
- 1:07:47And that command of this, of emotional protection was I
- 1:07:50never, ever want to feel that disappointment at all cost.
- 1:07:55And and that became an identity of me as a 2 year old and how my
- 1:07:58mind started to survive life from those perceptions.
- 1:08:02A5 year old is my perception of my father.
- 1:08:06And then so that's 2 year old. I label that one under the
- 1:08:09virtues when I looked at the different virtues, I put that on
- 1:08:13resonated of of that initial experience as a 2 year old with
- 1:08:18my father, I discovered patience as a life of a 5 year old.
- 1:08:23The six year old was a decision I made about my peers of being
- 1:08:26embarrassed for, for me reading out loud with a ruler because my
- 1:08:31eyes would not stay on the page. And so I would, my eyes were
- 1:08:34fluctuating and go up and down the page and I would have to use
- 1:08:37a ruler on my finger. And so one day some kids in the
- 1:08:40background laughed and I made it mean something about myself.
- 1:08:43And I didn't discover that one till 40 years later.
- 1:08:46So you talk about 6 years old and I discovered that at 40 and
- 1:08:51I still been managing that decision of never being out loud
- 1:08:55and raising my hand. And then the latchkey kid of
- 1:08:571978, that's the life of an 8 year old that connects back to
- 1:09:01my mom because I made-up a decision that my mom abandoned
- 1:09:04me. So that was my abandonment
- 1:09:06issues in 1978 at the 8 year old.
- 1:09:09But really what it was wasn't. I had no perception of time,
- 1:09:13that amount of time that I was home by myself.
- 1:09:16But there was this pain that came with the conversation.
- 1:09:18So I share that and that read and then we got the life of an
- 1:09:2311 year old. That's the walk of shame.
- 1:09:26I got joy out of that one because that one was so
- 1:09:29embarrassing and shameful that I, I couldn't even go to
- 1:09:31restaurants and sit down by myself, but alone, like we all
- 1:09:35deal with these things, right? That 2 year old was a
- 1:09:38gentleness, had to be gentle with my mom, be gentle with
- 1:09:41myself on how my perception of being abandoned or thinking that
- 1:09:44I was abandoned, but I never was abandoned by my mom, right?
- 1:09:48And so these are the conversations that when I did
- 1:09:50the work, these are the stories that popped up in my mind.
- 1:09:53And I could take that those classes and grab those stories
- 1:09:57and those ideas and those thoughts and those feelings and
- 1:09:58emotions and look at them and examine them and realize that Oh
- 1:10:02my God, that was a story that I made-up.
- 1:10:04I was embarrassed. It was shame.
- 1:10:07But that one, I connect that to joy.
- 1:10:10The day that I gave up being vulnerable.
- 1:10:12That was how I live in self loathing from a 14 year old
- 1:10:15breakup that was connected to love.
- 1:10:19So by the time look, I had this decision at two years old, I had
- 1:10:23this one that my dad didn't love me at five years old.
- 1:10:25I have was embarrassed with my peers at six years old and then
- 1:10:29I was abandoned at 8 years old. And then I had shame at 11 years
- 1:10:34old. And here I'm at 14 in this
- 1:10:36relationship with this girl in junior high school.
- 1:10:38And that was it, I was done. I'm not going to be vulnerable
- 1:10:42and that my experience was self loathing.
- 1:10:45But as I start to peel that layer off, I had to give myself
- 1:10:48some love, had to love, learn that I love myself.
- 1:10:53I had to measure my love for myself because I didn't love
- 1:10:56women, I didn't love anybody and didn't bring it and would say
- 1:10:59that and how I talk. So finding freedom in your
- 1:11:02language is how we talk. And sometimes our words is our
- 1:11:06own trap. And there was my words, my own
- 1:11:08trap, not being vulnerable. And I didn't even want to.
- 1:11:12I wouldn't even use the word vulnerable.
- 1:11:15But I connected that to love after I discovered where that
- 1:11:18was coming from. The day that I walked away from
- 1:11:20God age 23. There's a lot going on between
- 1:11:2514 and 23, let me tell you. And so there was a lot of
- 1:11:30experiences. I joined the military.
- 1:11:32I got married the first time. I had two daughters by 23.
- 1:11:36There was a lot going on. And I was in church, born into
- 1:11:40church at 2 years old and born at birth pretty much.
- 1:11:43But at at 21, I walked away because I just like just could
- 1:11:49not. I thought that walk God was had
- 1:11:51to be perfect. And so there was a lot of
- 1:11:53religious aspects, a lot of things that I heard didn't
- 1:11:55understand receiving the Holy Spirit at 16, like all that
- 1:11:59religious stuff. And at 23, at 21, I'm out.
- 1:12:04I walked away and I rediscovered that.
- 1:12:08And now I connected that one to faithfulness and the perfect
- 1:12:13morning. That was the day I collapsed in
- 1:12:16the military for my sickle cell trade exertion.
- 1:12:18And I connected that to 1 to peace and then life of the 40
- 1:12:23year old. This is where I started to look
- 1:12:25at myself and in the midst of the depression and anxiety and
- 1:12:28that and, and my, my spirit, God spoke to me.
- 1:12:32The spirit was like, hey, there's got to be something
- 1:12:33better, better than this. And I was about 39 and and so
- 1:12:39from 39 into turning almost 41 that year in 2011, I was
- 1:12:43introduced to those classes. And so in that phase of the life
- 1:12:47of a 40 year old, I discovered repentance and forgiveness.
- 1:12:52And that was the, the onset of how I started to deal with all
- 1:12:56these things going backwards from 40, right, going backwards
- 1:13:00from 40 to 2 years old. And then lastly, right now we've
- 1:13:04got the life of a 50 year old is where I discovered myself
- 1:13:08control right, got the conviction of the Holy Spirit
- 1:13:11and I started I went back to church when my dad passed away
- 1:13:14in 29th 2019. So I was 49 at the time.
- 1:13:18I was feeding my soul, but my spirit was starving.
- 1:13:21And so and at 50 years old, I came back to God because I was
- 1:13:25living like man, I don't. I'm worried about my my health,
- 1:13:28how much time I got left. My grandson was born.
- 1:13:31And so I'm worried about how old am I going to be when I die?
- 1:13:34How old is going to be when I die?
- 1:13:36And I'm and I didn't want to live like that.
- 1:13:37I was living just almost with with fear of that was poor in
- 1:13:41spirit. I was that beat attitude poor in
- 1:13:44spirit and I was a second beatitude.
- 1:13:45I was mourning. And so at that 50 I came back to
- 1:13:49like God. You got to I want to I want to
- 1:13:51find you for myself. I need to find you for myself
- 1:13:55and I came back to church and I've been at it the last seven
- 1:13:58years and six years, seven years.
- 1:14:01And this is this is where I'm at today.
- 1:14:04And so, you know, the sickle cell trade is part of my
- 1:14:07conversation, but this is the other part.
- 1:14:09And so when you look at that page, these are all of those new
- 1:14:14speakings that I've done. I think I'm on my 4th year.
- 1:14:18So I just put some of the messages on there.
- 1:14:21There's one about their God delivers your prayer.
- 1:14:24That was the one who was that's about prayer.
- 1:14:27Prayer. Prayer is a principle.
- 1:14:30Let me tell you, prayer is a principle.
- 1:14:33And then and then the courtroom, right?
- 1:14:35So I got those 2GO together, got the post office same.
- 1:14:38Because look, if you have your prayers are blocked because of
- 1:14:43your heart posture, you, you're not in here, your prayers are
- 1:14:46not going to get answered, right?
- 1:14:48Your prayers are not going to get answered.
- 1:14:49You will block your blessings because of your heart posture,
- 1:14:52right? So if you want, if you want
- 1:14:53prayer, go pray for somebody else first, right?
- 1:14:57Go ask for, go, go to somebody, ask him to forgive you.
- 1:15:00You know you, you know, you know who you need to talk to, right?
- 1:15:02Because in this part here that you ask for you pray, your
- 1:15:07prayer goes up, but is the moment that Satan is a device
- 1:15:11and say on God you can't, you can't grant for Ron's prayer.
- 1:15:13Look at, look what I remember that what?
- 1:15:15He did. So now I'm in, I'm in the
- 1:15:17wilderness. I'm going to test.
- 1:15:19I got a test. I got, I got to, I got to
- 1:15:21confess. You want to be tested or you
- 1:15:24going to confess, right? So the post office is your
- 1:15:27prayers are getting blocked because of your heart posture.
- 1:15:32So those are the messages that God has given me so far.
- 1:15:34And so those are all the website there.
- 1:15:37So you can check, take a listen to those.
- 1:15:40But yeah, this is one of my early ones.
- 1:15:42This is only on audio. The power of reconciliation.
- 1:15:46And then I'm at this is me at KC Radio when I came back in 2021.
- 1:15:51This is the old station that I was talking here.
- 1:15:53This is let me play this one. This one is about a minute and
- 1:15:5611 seconds. Let's play this one right here.
- 1:16:08A. Plane.
- 1:16:08In autopilot self corrects it's never on course.
- 1:16:14Live your life like the auto correcting system.
- 1:16:20You got that, so remember, check it out.
- 1:16:23No. Airplanes right?
- 1:16:24A plane in autopilot self correct.
- 1:16:27It's never on course. So when they put that plane in
- 1:16:30autopilot, even though it may drift off course, but there's a
- 1:16:33system that corrects that plane to put it back on course.
- 1:16:38So a plane in autopilot self corrects and it's never on
- 1:16:43course. Live your life like the auto
- 1:16:46correcting system. For me, that auto correcting
- 1:16:49system is now the Holy Spirit, right?
- 1:16:52So I believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
- 1:16:56So the Holy Spirit is my auto correcting system for my life.
- 1:17:01All right, so that's, that's when I was at KC radio.
- 1:17:11I started at KC Radio on Tuesdays and then I went to the
- 1:17:15Sunday nights at 8:00 PM and now I'm back on Tuesdays on KC
- 1:17:20Radio. So when you go there, you'll see
- 1:17:22that you'll see some This is me, This is a life.
- 1:17:26So I recorded this one in the beginning before I wrote the
- 1:17:29inspirational read that I had to, I had to get this out of my,
- 1:17:33you know, out of my mind. And so I sat with my green
- 1:17:35screen and I told the story of the life of a 5 year old, my
- 1:17:40perception of my father on how I treated my dad and then how we
- 1:17:44were able to reconcile. So I'm going to play a little
- 1:17:46bit of this for you. 1977 I was seeing my dad.
- 1:17:54My dad would pick me up. I would spend time with my dad
- 1:18:01like nothing. There was a gap from 19771978
- 1:18:10until 1985 where I didn't see my dad.
- 1:18:15That part will be in my next inspirational read, The Life of
- 1:18:21an 8 Year old. This one is the life of a 5 year
- 1:18:25old. So I see my dad in 1985 and we
- 1:18:33start to build this new relationship all over again and
- 1:18:37I'm going to his Barber shop, he's cutting my hair, I'm
- 1:18:39spending time, we're hanging out.
- 1:18:41He would say he's going to pick me up but he wouldn't show.
- 1:18:47I remember waiting at the corner, looking out the corner
- 1:18:53looking for my dad. He never showed.
- 1:18:58I would call him like nothing. Oh, I'll pick you up.
- 1:19:04He never showed. I turned 18 senior year.
- 1:19:16Still going to see my dad. I was able to start catching the
- 1:19:19bus and so now I'm leaving school early.
- 1:19:22I'm signing myself out the last few months of school so I could
- 1:19:25go down and catch the bus to spend time with my dad.
- 1:19:28I was destined to have a relationship with my father.
- 1:19:34We would go hang out, we'd go play pool, we would go to the
- 1:19:38movies. I mean, we would go wherever we
- 1:19:40could go. As an 18 year old that I would
- 1:19:43spend time with my dad and it was just about being around him.
- 1:19:48The smell of the barbershop, the smell of the Listerine, the
- 1:19:52smell of his concoction that he. Would cut your hair.
- 1:19:54After you cut your hair, he would spray the stuff.
- 1:19:58This like Listerine concoction that will keep your head from
- 1:20:03bumping up. I can hear the blades of the
- 1:20:07cutters, the scissors snapping as he's giving these haircuts.
- 1:20:13As I'm watching 21, my life is upside down.
- 1:20:26I just joined the military at 19.
- 1:20:30I got married before I joined the service, and by 21 that
- 1:20:35relationship was over. So my dad, we hung out that day.
- 1:20:43He picked me up and we went to Playa Del Rey to the spot where
- 1:20:53I used to, where I still go to this day to think.
- 1:20:57And we would go there. We would just sit and watch the
- 1:20:59boats and watch the people and watch the planes take off by
- 1:21:05LAX. And not far from there, there
- 1:21:13was a place that we would go in and play pool.
- 1:21:18So we go there, we grab the pool balls, grab a beer, grab a
- 1:21:26burger, and we'd start playing pool and I shot out.
- 1:21:32Loser pays and we would laugh because we knew this was going
- 1:21:36to be a game. This was going to be one of
- 1:21:38those games for the night. If I was.
- 1:21:43Losing, I would say double of nothing and he would complain
- 1:21:48and he would squander, but we would play double of nothing and
- 1:21:51I would win. Sometimes we would go play pool
- 1:22:01and if I was dealing with something, I would ask my dad or
- 1:22:05I would say, hey, you know what man I'm dealing with.
- 1:22:07ABC and D. And military, my divorce and my
- 1:22:15dad would be like, if I was you, I would do this and I would do
- 1:22:19this. And my skin would crawl and I
- 1:22:24could feel like my blood was boiling.
- 1:22:26And I would burst out like, you don't know.
- 1:22:34You never been in the military, never been married before.
- 1:22:36How do you know you don't know anything?
- 1:22:39Come on, man, I'm done. You make me sick.
- 1:22:41I'm tired of you. Let's go.
- 1:22:45And in the middle of the game, I would get angry, whiny, like a
- 1:22:51brat. And we would pack up the balls
- 1:22:55and drive. And I drop them off, upset,
- 1:23:04upset to the point at myself, like what is wrong with me?
- 1:23:09Why can't I have this connection with my dad?
- 1:23:15And some days the argument would last two days, two weeks, two
- 1:23:23years. It just depends.
- 1:23:29But what would happen? I'd get up enough nerve and I
- 1:23:33would call him back. Hey, Dad, you want to go play
- 1:23:35some pool? Yes, son.
- 1:23:37Let's go. All right, I'll pick you up.
- 1:23:41And I would get dressed, and I would drive my car.
- 1:23:48I listen to my rap music, I pick him up, he get in, I shake his
- 1:23:53hand, give him a hug, put some Sade on so he can get his mind
- 1:23:59right for the pool game. We would laugh, we would catch
- 1:24:01up like nothing, like a day never missed.
- 1:24:04Like we wasn't even ever mad at each other, or like I was never
- 1:24:09mad at him. And then maybe this time we
- 1:24:13would be fine for an hour or two.
- 1:24:17Or maybe I would complain about my life again and he would say
- 1:24:22the same thing. If I was you, I would do and I
- 1:24:25would be like and I would go off and all my dad wanted to was
- 1:24:37put. All my dad wanted to do was
- 1:24:38spend time with me. All he would ever say was I just
- 1:24:42want to spend time with my son. As you know my experience with
- 1:24:48the military, I was medical retired depressed from 2006 it
- 1:24:58started. So you can go there and watch
- 1:25:03that, check that out. Just a little bit of that.
- 1:25:06And then there's some more messages from church there.
- 1:25:08And again, there's a talk that I did with the guy, Andy and his
- 1:25:14son. Oh, that was one of that was one
- 1:25:15of my show, one of my show segments that I have the father
- 1:25:19son, son to father relationship. And he and his dad came on my
- 1:25:24shape. He brought his son to talk with
- 1:25:27me and so and peace in all of our conversations.
- 1:25:33And so when I look at that and I look at 8 didn't have a curfew
- 1:25:40basically so long my my grades are decent and there's no phone
- 1:25:44calls home, nothing happened. How do you feel that played out
- 1:25:50in your teenage years? Basically, a lot of it was just
- 1:25:56me surviving. And then my mother remarried to
- 1:26:00my stepfather, who they are still together now.
- 1:26:03He came in and he tried to try to make me a kid.
- 1:26:07And I'm like, yeah. What?
- 1:26:11Like curfew? Like, what's that like?
- 1:26:14Like not not that I. Increased dramatically, but I
- 1:26:19remember back in grade school, I for sure was a bit of a
- 1:26:25troublemaker. And there was a few moments that
- 1:26:31I'm not too proud of. But like, you know, and me and
- 1:26:36my dad have really connected the last few years.
- 1:26:41And before he would just get mad whenever I did a mistake.
- 1:26:47But now it's, you know, a little more patient like I one time I
- 1:26:55was with a friend and very bad influence on me and, and, you
- 1:27:01know, did something that shouldn't have been done.
- 1:27:04And so later cops arrived and were asking for me.
- 1:27:11And, you know, it was, it was something like the, you know,
- 1:27:16like not recognizing those consequences and not just
- 1:27:22thinking about the details. So I've, I've had like growing
- 1:27:27up back in grade school, a lot of friends that like were bad
- 1:27:33influences for me for sure. And so my relationship with my
- 1:27:37dad, he just told me, like, you want to surround yourself with
- 1:27:42people who are going to benefit you and who aren't going to
- 1:27:47bring you down, you know? So that that.
- 1:27:51That era of those times that the the little strain that was on
- 1:27:56your relationship with your dad was coming from you to him
- 1:27:58because you were the one doing all the all the stuff.
- 1:28:02All right. So what what was that for you?
- 1:28:07The strain? Was it something like if I tell
- 1:28:10him he's not going to trust me or listen to me or like so I
- 1:28:13like know I know my daughter. She's the type that'll ask for
- 1:28:16forgiveness later, like she'll go do it and they're like, oh,
- 1:28:19I'm sorry, I didn't like no, no, look like we we need to talk
- 1:28:22first. So like, what was that for you?
- 1:28:24Why you wouldn't you didn't have the dialogue skills or the OR
- 1:28:29the confidence to say, hey, dad, this is what I'm going to do.
- 1:28:31Like what was that for? You yeah, I, I, I, it's like
- 1:28:36very similar to that, honestly. It's, you know, like growing up
- 1:28:43I, I had a sort of fear, I guess if, like, if I did anything
- 1:28:48wrong, then like, I know for sure I'd get yelled at.
- 1:28:51And so I, it was just more sort of a fear then like, you know,
- 1:28:58and like discipline. And so all this life advice that
- 1:29:01I'm recognizing now, it's beneficial for me.
- 1:29:05Back then it was more like, right, more like, you know, it
- 1:29:10was I, I, I looked at it more so as discipline then actually like
- 1:29:16just voicing his concerns and trying, you know, like it's not
- 1:29:20out of like discipline. It's more so out of care and,
- 1:29:24you know, just making sure that like, I'm good.
- 1:29:28So if, if, if again, so you can go there and check those out.
- 1:29:32That was a great, a great talk right there.
- 1:29:34All right, so I'm going to get out of here.
- 1:29:36Then I got some more things done there you can read, but I
- 1:29:39appreciate y'all today for this opportunity to to just kind of
- 1:29:43share with you what I'm up to. Again, when you go here to the
- 1:29:46website on the frondee.com, you can go to the homepage.
- 1:29:50It will show you just all the things I'm up to currently, all
- 1:29:54the different talks, the identity crisis, what it is to
- 1:29:56be a mailman, the sports ministry that we're doing like
- 1:30:01the Kingdom citizen with the sickle cell trade talks and
- 1:30:04media, the advocacy, all those, you know, videos are there.
- 1:30:09You can go there and check those out.
- 1:30:10And then you want to find out who I am, you can go there.
- 1:30:13These are some of the talks that I've done on the radio and from
- 1:30:15home and again out in public at a sickle cell conference in the
- 1:30:20community, doing sickle cell community conferences as a
- 1:30:24hosting those events, moderating events, should I say right?
- 1:30:28So again, just stare to do my part, be about my part.
- 1:30:33So I thank you for tuning, listening today.
