- 0:17Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:22Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, joined today
- 0:26Speaker 1: by co host Raj Sharma. Fellow co host Trade Turnholm.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Maybe along shortly, just depends on if he can get
- 0:36Speaker 1: his tiny Chihuahua Daisy to eat something this morning. So
- 0:42Speaker 1: prayers up to little Daisy on being able to feel
- 0:44Speaker 1: better and let her daddy come to work. In the meantime,
- 0:48Speaker 1: we have a very special yest inside the treehouse. And
- 0:55Speaker 1: I don't say this too often, it has been far
- 0:58Speaker 1: too long since I've seen and spoken to you. Justin Foster,
- 1:02Speaker 1: Welcome inside the Treehouse after a long, long hiatus.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Good to see you guys, Thanks for having me so uh.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You're joining us from the great city that some would
- 1:12Speaker 1: put in air quotes of Los Angeles.
- 1:14Speaker 2: West Hollywood to woo.
- 1:17Speaker 1: The old wee hoo.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah. All right, I'm gonna ask around the country.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I'm going to ask a really, really, really dumb question,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and we don't need to belabor it. I know I
- 1:26Speaker 1: could have asked Roj this numerous times, but I didn't
- 1:28Speaker 1: think of it until you said West Hollywood is the
- 1:31Speaker 1: Pink Pony Club?
- 1:32Speaker 3: Real?
- 1:32Speaker 1: Or is that just in the song.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Yeah, so the Pink Pony Club is the abbey.
- 1:36Speaker 1: M okay, so it's just is that hurt is that
- 1:39Speaker 1: chapel Rohne's name for it or is that like a
- 1:41Speaker 1: common name for it or is it just her name
- 1:44Speaker 1: for it in the song? So they don't have to
- 1:46Speaker 1: pay any money to the actual club.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Well, that's a great question. I think I'm the wrong
- 1:50Speaker 2: person ask but it is interesting that the abbey is
- 1:54Speaker 2: they have the chapel, the sub it's like the second
- 1:57Speaker 2: part of the abbey. So I don't know if there's
- 1:58Speaker 2: a connection there. I'm a big fan and at hers
- 2:00Speaker 2: by the way, and my sister in law was in
- 2:03Speaker 2: town and I took her by the abbey and I
- 2:05Speaker 2: was like, there's a peak punk cup because there's the giant,
- 2:07Speaker 2: you know all that, but it's not peink. It's white anyways.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if it's I don't know if
- 2:12Speaker 2: we'd have to look at it because I am interested
- 2:13Speaker 2: to find out the connection. But it is the abbey.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, gotcha. I mentioned this and it really has been.
- 2:19Speaker 1: It has been way too long. We go way back.
- 2:22Speaker 1: The three of us do radio and comedy days, back
- 2:25Speaker 1: back in Dallas and radio stuff back at the old
- 2:30Speaker 1: rip station Live one five three, along with many people
- 2:34Speaker 1: now not just the station, who have passed on. Things
- 2:39Speaker 1: have gone pretty well for everybody, all things considered. You're
- 2:43Speaker 1: in La now. There was It was such an interesting
- 2:46Speaker 1: time how the Dallas comedy scene had a group of
- 2:49Speaker 1: guys that all basically migrated west to take the big
- 2:54Speaker 1: chance in LA. And some are still there, some have
- 2:57Speaker 1: moved back, some of you know, still kind of touring around.
- 2:59Speaker 1: How's it's good? I love it.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny. Roger's like, the is it Shirpa?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Really?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Raj went out first and like you know, surveyed the
- 3:10Speaker 2: land for us, and then we kind of followed him out.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But you know, it's so funny. It took me a
- 3:16Speaker 2: really long time to really like settle in here and
- 3:19Speaker 2: like I like it. And it's like been the last
- 3:24Speaker 2: like two years where I like love it and I've
- 3:26Speaker 2: only been I've been out for thirteen If that's so.
- 3:30Speaker 1: It only took eleven years to actually enjoy.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Where you lived, and now I love it.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah, So what changed?
- 3:37Speaker 2: I think me? I think me mostly. I don't think
- 3:39Speaker 2: the city. The city has certainly changed at all. I
- 3:42Speaker 2: think just living and acceptance. I was sort of living
- 3:44Speaker 2: in two different places. You know, my family and my
- 3:46Speaker 2: friends and everything was in Texas, and I was stuck
- 3:49Speaker 2: between two worlds. And I kind of finally accepted, like, oh,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I live here now and I got my own place
- 3:54Speaker 2: and I've lived I'm living alone for the first time
- 3:55Speaker 2: since I was in my twenties. Wow, So it's yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 2: I kind of feel like a grown up.
- 4:02Speaker 1: No, I get that. It's a big step. I mean
- 4:04Speaker 1: I moved a couple of years ago, and you know,
- 4:06Speaker 1: I mean I lived in you know, DFW area from
- 4:11Speaker 1: the age of nine until what forty two forty three.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I mean that's a long time in one space. And
- 4:20Speaker 1: so I completely relate to what you're saying. It's like
- 4:23Speaker 1: you moved somewhere and then you're you're not fully there yet.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it felt like I was on vacation, honestly, and
- 4:29Speaker 2: I tell people this honestly, until about like two years ago,
- 4:34Speaker 2: I never really felt like because I was going home
- 4:36Speaker 2: every couple of or home. See I still do it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I was going back to Dallas every couple of months,
- 4:40Speaker 2: and I was just like sometimes I wouldn't even tell people.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I would just fly in and just spend a week
- 4:45Speaker 2: or two with the family, you know, And so yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 2: it just really feels like I was on vacation here,
- 4:51Speaker 2: just sort of visiting. I mean, I mean I lived
- 4:53Speaker 2: in DFW for thirty three years and I still had
- 4:56Speaker 2: stuff in storage there and up until like five years ago.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I'll be back.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I still keep a small storage thing in Dallas. It's
- 5:07Speaker 1: mainly for treehouse stuff. When when when when I when
- 5:10Speaker 1: I go to Dallas to do and we'll do like
- 5:12Speaker 1: a live show somewhere in North Texas. That's mostly where
- 5:15Speaker 1: that stuff is kept. But yeah, I mean, other than that,
- 5:17Speaker 1: I still got that little thing there. But after a while,
- 5:21Speaker 1: you finally do sort of maybe some people don't ever,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but you eventually accept, Okay, this where I am now
- 5:27Speaker 1: is actually home.
- 5:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I think it had a lot to do with like
- 5:31Speaker 2: living with roommates and like sleeping on people's couches, and
- 5:34Speaker 2: then like I think now like having this place that
- 5:36Speaker 2: I love. It's a quiet, peaceful and there's a park across.
- 5:40Speaker 2: It's just like there's a park here, and there's a
- 5:42Speaker 2: park there, and my gym's there, and I when the
- 5:44Speaker 2: grocery store, and I just walk everywhere I'm like, Okay,
- 5:47Speaker 2: I just had to find the neighborhood.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very difficult to do in North Texas can
- 5:52Speaker 1: usually it's drive everywhere.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's you get a sense.
- 5:57Speaker 6: I mean, you feel more grounded once you have like
- 5:59Speaker 6: your in space and your.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Own routine that you're going to do, you know, day
- 6:04Speaker 3: in and day out.
- 6:05Speaker 1: So yeah, which is an amazing thing to say that
- 6:08Speaker 1: you feel grounded when you're a stand up comedian for.
- 6:11Speaker 4: For a living.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I know. I think that I do so
- 6:14Speaker 2: much to be able to navigate that lifestyle to be
- 6:18Speaker 2: grounded that the comedy parts so easy, because I mean,
- 6:21Speaker 2: like my morning routine isn't sane like you guys would
- 6:24Speaker 2: think I'm a crazy person, but I do so much
- 6:26Speaker 2: in the morning to be able to not lose my mind.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Are you one of those ice bath plungers first thing
- 6:32Speaker 1: in the morning.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I do.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I do workout, I do ice plunge. I don't talk
- 6:35Speaker 2: for the first two hours. I meditate for you know,
- 6:38Speaker 2: almost an hour. My journal incense like the whole you know,
- 6:42Speaker 2: the whole thing. One of those guys, and it just
- 6:46Speaker 2: and it sets everything.
- 6:48Speaker 1: There was a guy that went viral for that a
- 6:50Speaker 1: few weeks ago, for he posted his morning routines this
- 6:54Speaker 1: is what I do every morning, millions of views and
- 6:57Speaker 1: it started like three something in the morning, and he's
- 6:59Speaker 1: taken like a twenty thirty minute ice plunge.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Oh that's crazy.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah, he does like it with his face and then
- 7:04Speaker 1: his body. Then he journals, then he goes to work.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I mean a meditation, all this stuff goes to work out,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and then I see people make fun of it, and
- 7:12Speaker 1: rightfully so, because all these gurus are out there saying,
- 7:15Speaker 1: here's what your ideal morning should consist of. Well, by
- 7:18Speaker 1: the time you're done doing all that, it's time to
- 7:20Speaker 1: eat dinner. Yeah, you haven't even had time to go
- 7:23Speaker 1: to work.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a little much. I think the non negotiables
- 7:26Speaker 2: for me is like meditating. I like to meditate for
- 7:28Speaker 2: like an hour and then at journal, which is also
- 7:32Speaker 2: turns into comedy joke writing, so which is that's for
- 7:35Speaker 2: my career also, Yeah, and that just kind of and
- 7:38Speaker 2: then you know, not not talking for the first hour
- 7:40Speaker 2: or two.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So I enjoy part of that. I like waking up
- 7:47Speaker 1: and kind of doing my own thing for the first
- 7:49Speaker 1: little bit and not having to have a discussion or
- 7:54Speaker 1: whatever the case is. It's very simple. I wake up,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I chug a bunch of water, I take the dog outs,
- 8:00Speaker 1: make a cup of coffee, and and then I yell
- 8:03Speaker 1: at my watch for telling me to be mindful today
- 8:07Speaker 1: and take some breaths. I'm like, I just woke up, Siri,
- 8:10Speaker 1: leave me alone.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is funny when I tell people,
- 8:14Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, so I like to like throughout
- 8:15Speaker 2: the day. I like to do three minute or three
- 8:18Speaker 2: thirty minute meditations. I like to go to the gym.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I like to do like a cold plunge. I like
- 8:22Speaker 2: to uh, you know, journal make a gratitude list. I
- 8:26Speaker 2: listened and they're like, oh, wow.
- 8:27Speaker 3: You're so.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I'm like, no, I like I need all of that
- 8:30Speaker 2: or all like I'm a crazy person and I need
- 8:34Speaker 2: all of that to be okay. I'm not better than you.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I'm a lunatic.
- 8:39Speaker 1: This is what I do every morning just to reach
- 8:41Speaker 1: everyone else's baseline.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly, so I can yell at drunk people
- 8:45Speaker 2: all night.

- 11:26Speaker 1: Malley along with Raz Sharma and our special guest inside
- 11:30Speaker 1: the Treehouse Show today, friend and comedian Justin Foster based
- 11:34Speaker 1: out of la joining us remotely. Today is Thursday May first,
- 11:39Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Yes, we are now all of the
- 11:42Speaker 1: age where we all look around and go wow, it's
- 11:45Speaker 1: years really justly and by, and that's where we all
- 11:49Speaker 1: are in life now. But it's true. The older we get,
- 11:52Speaker 1: the faster time goes, and the faster we get to death.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Not to be moros, but it's kind of true. Maybe
- 11:59Speaker 1: I need some of your bath plunges justin Maybe it's
- 12:02Speaker 1: the weather I'm feeling like, kind of dark and gloomy.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'll shake it off though, don't worry. Like I said,
- 12:10Speaker 1: today is Thursday May first, twoenty twenty five. Oh man,
- 12:17Speaker 1: did everyone notice that this Easter Easter Sunday fell on
- 12:21Speaker 1: four to twenty this year and one East Texas drug
- 12:27Speaker 1: dealer took full advantage because instead of doing an Easter
- 12:31Speaker 1: egg hunt, he orchestrated an Easter drug hunt. His name
- 12:37Speaker 1: is Avante Nicholson, beautiful name. He's facing charges after police
- 12:41Speaker 1: say he filled at least five plastic Easter eggs with
- 12:45Speaker 1: weed all around Lufkin, Texas and hid them for customers
- 12:49Speaker 1: to find His drug customers. Please found out about it
- 12:51Speaker 1: because he posted photos of the eggs on Facebook as
- 12:54Speaker 1: a social media promotion. So drug dealers are now doing promotions.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Just keep that in mind. He told people that whoever
- 13:01Speaker 1: shopped with him that day would get hints revealing where
- 13:06Speaker 1: the eggs were hidden. Police found four of them. The
- 13:08Speaker 1: fifth egg was found in a park by a man
- 13:10Speaker 1: and his granddaughter the day after Easter. Most of them
- 13:14Speaker 1: the eggs were hidden in parks, but police also found
- 13:17Speaker 1: at least one egg behind a Motel six Classy. Altogether,
- 13:21Speaker 1: the eggs had just over a quarter ounce of weed
- 13:23Speaker 1: in them, and last we heard, police are conducting their
- 13:26Speaker 1: own scavenger hunt because Avante is still on the run,
- 13:30Speaker 1: kind of like the Easter bunny. So is this Easter
- 13:34Speaker 1: drug hunt brilliant or stoopid?
- 13:37Speaker 3: Trey?
- 13:38Speaker 1: Let's start with you. First of all, is Daisy okay.
- 13:42Speaker 4: She's not doing very well.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry Okay, well, let's focus on an Easter drug hunt.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Easter drug hunt in East Texas. Brilliant or stupid?
- 13:51Speaker 4: Why not?
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's East Texas.
- 13:55Speaker 4: I'm kind of there as well.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I say both. It's brilliant to do what you know,
- 14:00Speaker 1: an easter promotion as a drug dealer. I mean, it's
- 14:02Speaker 1: brilliant business.
- 14:04Speaker 4: I mean but if you've ever spent any time the
- 14:07Speaker 4: one that find it all, if you've.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Ever spent a lot of time in East Texas, Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 5: that's a very thin line.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So why not between brilliant and stupid? Yes, the thin
- 14:20Speaker 1: dumb line. H RAJ. Brilliant or stupid?
- 14:25Speaker 6: I don't I don't know why drug dealers think they
- 14:30Speaker 6: have to advertise. It's a it's kind of you. You
- 14:33Speaker 6: kind of have a captive audience. They're gonna come to
- 14:36Speaker 6: you regardless.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But I do like you got to stand out.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I like.
- 14:42Speaker 6: I like the entrepreneurial aspect of it, where he's like,
- 14:44Speaker 6: you know what, I'm gonna take this little mainstream and
- 14:47Speaker 6: we're gonna do like a like a discount code. I'm
- 14:52Speaker 6: gonna drop hints and you can find free weed.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I like this guy. I'm a fan.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Justin brilliant, inner stupid.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I think it's great. I'm so like it's such as
- 15:03Speaker 2: like such a Texas thing. When the cops were like
- 15:05Speaker 2: scrambling trying to find him and everyone's like trying to
- 15:07Speaker 2: find the eggs. I'm in La. You would find that
- 15:09Speaker 2: egg and people be like, ugh, it's not sativa.
- 15:14Speaker 1: This is the Mexican dirt weed. I'm not I'm not
- 15:16Speaker 1: keeping this. I'd rather go to the store and buy
- 15:18Speaker 1: something worthwhile more weed.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Cool, this isn't a vape? Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got
- 15:27Speaker 2: anything harder.
- 15:31Speaker 1: That's a that's for different parts of Texas, or maybe
- 15:33Speaker 1: maybe that's a maybe that's a different promotion altogether from
- 15:36Speaker 1: a different guy. But I do love the idea. I
- 15:39Speaker 1: love the plan of you know, like you said, Raj,
- 15:44Speaker 1: it's I mean, it's like, you shouldn't have to advertise
- 15:46Speaker 1: because you're a drug dealer, people will come to you.
- 15:48Speaker 1: But what if you're a startup You got to get
- 15:50Speaker 1: your name out there. Maybe and uh, maybe this was
- 15:53Speaker 1: his strategy to do so. On one hand, the drug
- 15:57Speaker 1: dealing strategy for a social media promotion makes sense. The
- 16:00Speaker 1: downside is obviously the police see it and then they
- 16:03Speaker 1: go find four of your five eggs, but I give
- 16:05Speaker 1: them credit because they still haven't found this guy.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Right wow. And it's also like, in this economy, that's
- 16:13Speaker 2: the cheapest eggs you're gonna find right now.
- 16:16Speaker 1: That's true, I mean, right at point now with the
- 16:18Speaker 1: economic hardship, that weed costs less than eggs.
- 16:23Speaker 6: And I like the idea that you're going to try
- 16:26Speaker 6: to motivate potheads to get up and get out of
- 16:28Speaker 6: the house to go find eggs.
- 16:33Speaker 3: That's how that's why the cops found four first.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. They're all like, man, that's.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Too much stress. We'll go later.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Yeah, potheads don't have steps goals.

- 17:29Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com, and advertise
- 17:32Speaker 1: right here inside the Treehouse Show. I'm Daniel Maley along
- 17:36Speaker 1: with Trey Trenholm. Welcome in Trey and Raj Sharma and
- 17:40Speaker 1: today's special guest, comedian and fellow podcaster Justin Foster. Yes,
- 17:47Speaker 1: real quick, I'm not sure, mainly because my memory is really,
- 17:51Speaker 1: really terrible. Uh, Trey, Justin, Justin Trey. I think you
- 17:55Speaker 1: guys may have met back in the Live one O
- 17:57Speaker 1: five three days. But if not, Justin Trey, Trey, Justin.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Good to see those days are pretty hazy.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Or hazy for all of us. Hazy for many reasons,
- 18:10Speaker 1: but one of the main ones is alcohol. Raj and
- 18:13Speaker 1: I are still on the booze train. Trey Justin. You
- 18:17Speaker 1: guys are living the sober lifestyle now, to which I
- 18:21Speaker 1: offer you a thumbs up each. Good on you. I
- 18:25Speaker 1: tried it for the month of January, and I'm very
- 18:27Speaker 1: proud of myself for having done that. And I'm not
- 18:30Speaker 1: ready to go full straight edge just yet, but again.
- 18:34Speaker 3: I know I'm here.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 18:38Speaker 3: You are.
- 18:39Speaker 1: You are the worst sober guy I have ever heard.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Usually like you need to stop drinking, and those guys
- 18:44Speaker 1: are all over You're.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Just like I tell everybody, if you can, please.
- 18:48Speaker 6: Do I'm actually not drinking right now. So it's been like, collectively,
- 18:56Speaker 6: it's been about if I do all of so I
- 18:58Speaker 6: did most of December.
- 19:00Speaker 4: There's no drink, you're either pregnant or you're not.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Oh, I see, I don't. I don't believe that theory.
- 19:06Speaker 4: That's what it is. That's what that is.
- 19:09Speaker 6: But it's been Yeah, so it's it's been on and
- 19:12Speaker 6: off three months. Like I'll have something here and there,
- 19:15Speaker 6: but nothing like excessive, Like I'll do like if I'm
- 19:18Speaker 6: watching like the Stars game, like I have a couple
- 19:20Speaker 6: of beer. I'm not a beer guy. Yeah, so I'll
- 19:23Speaker 6: do that on purpose to where I just have like
- 19:24Speaker 6: one or two and then that's that's my wrap for
- 19:27Speaker 6: the death.
- 19:28Speaker 2: If it works for you. Like I was telling my
- 19:29Speaker 2: like my buddy called me the day He's like, I
- 19:31Speaker 2: got a friend he's getting divorced and he's drinking all
- 19:33Speaker 2: the time. I'm like, yeah, don't take away his medicine.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Yeah that makes sense.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'd be worried if he wasn't drinking.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Does he have a problem, but he's drinking a lot?
- 19:45Speaker 4: Okay?
- 19:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 1: The problem is it's like when you're drinking for all occasions,
- 19:51Speaker 1: Like if you're drinking just when you're sad, which is
- 19:53Speaker 1: on occasion, okay, not ideal, but it may not be
- 19:55Speaker 1: your problem. But if you're also drinking to celebrate something.
- 19:59Speaker 1: If you're drinking to uh commemorate something. If you're drinking
- 20:02Speaker 1: because you're sad angry, if you're if you're having a
- 20:05Speaker 1: shot because you went T T H in the bathroom
- 20:08Speaker 1: instead of your bed, you might have a problem, right,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and you want to talk to somebody.
- 20:12Speaker 5: If you're drinking and it's not causing problems in your life,
- 20:17Speaker 5: you're okay.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think on the same page with that. It's like,
- 20:21Speaker 2: unless you unless you have problems, I'm never gonna tell
- 20:24Speaker 2: you to stop drinking.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's like, I think dry January is
- 20:28Speaker 5: the dumbest thing ever.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah, why do that? Not drinking for the month of January.
- 20:34Speaker 5: I'm like, why If if it's that significant in your life,
- 20:39Speaker 5: then you really probably do have a problem.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Well, I know I have a problem.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Now it just got sad.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Well, look I have I have. I have an addiction,
- 20:54Speaker 1: but it doesn't negatively affect my life and all these
- 20:57Speaker 1: other problems. I mean, you're like a little dust up
- 20:59Speaker 1: here and there because I forget stuff, But for the
- 21:01Speaker 1: most part fine, And I'll be the first to admit
- 21:04Speaker 1: that I have an addiction thing to it, but it's
- 21:06Speaker 1: not causing mess anyway, this sounds like justification, and I
- 21:09Speaker 1: can see Justin and Trey going like, Okay, keep talking serious.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I would tell you, Dan, if I thought you had
- 21:15Speaker 4: a problem, I would tell you. And I don't think
- 21:17Speaker 4: you do.
- 21:17Speaker 1: That is true. That is true. Thank you, Trey. I
- 21:19Speaker 1: appreciate that. And it's been so long since we've hung
- 21:21Speaker 1: out with Justin. Justin has no idea. He's like, for
- 21:23Speaker 1: all I know, you're on Heroin, which wouldn't be completely
- 21:29Speaker 1: out of the ordinary for someone in the radio and
- 21:31Speaker 1: podcasting field.
- 21:32Speaker 2: I still wouldn't judge you.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you. I appreciate it. So let's use that
- 21:35Speaker 1: as a segue. So, Foster the podcast is the show.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I almost called it new, but it's not. I guess
- 21:41Speaker 1: you were on hiatus for a little while, but now
- 21:43Speaker 1: you've got the show back in full force.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Full force. Yeah. We started twenty thirteen. Roger has been
- 21:49Speaker 2: on and it was me and a professional life coach
- 21:51Speaker 2: and we did it from twenty thirteen to twenty nineteen
- 21:55Speaker 2: or two thousand. Yeah, she had twins, they had some complications,
- 21:59Speaker 2: then COVID it and then so we kept trying to start,
- 22:02Speaker 2: restart starting, and so we're officially back now and we've
- 22:06Speaker 2: got ten episodes up streaming now and we're recording more
- 22:10Speaker 2: next week. But it's basically a dating relationship comedy show
- 22:14Speaker 2: with the comedian who is really bad at dating and
- 22:20Speaker 2: a married life coach. So we have our friends on
- 22:23Speaker 2: and talk all stuff dating and stuff.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Well, that's very cool. It's I like the dynamic. I
- 22:28Speaker 1: like the I like that pairing. I'm assuming Foster the
- 22:31Speaker 1: Podcast available on all major podcasting platforms.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Yeah, YouTube, Spotify, iTunes, all of it.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Very cool, So search for Foster the Podcast. So you're
- 22:40Speaker 1: in LA now, have been for many many years. Does
- 22:43Speaker 1: that mean you've tried your hand? I mean, I know
- 22:45Speaker 1: you're a comedian, you're a working comedian. That is your
- 22:47Speaker 1: full time job, just like Raj. But since you're in LA,
- 22:50Speaker 1: does that mean you're trying to, you know, get in
- 22:54Speaker 1: on the acting side of things or.
- 22:57Speaker 2: That's funny you asked that. Somebody asked me that yesterday.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I wouldn't consider myself an actor because I think it'd
- 23:02Speaker 2: be a disservice to people who actually have taken acting
- 23:04Speaker 2: stuff and taken it seriously. But people do put me
- 23:07Speaker 2: in stuff and I actually just filmed a movie I
- 23:09Speaker 2: was on set for six weeks last year that should
- 23:12Speaker 2: be coming out this year. Where it was really fun.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I think comedians, you know, like I'm not trying to
- 23:19Speaker 2: do Shakespeare, but I think if you throw a comedian
- 23:21Speaker 2: in a role, I think that we understand the beats
- 23:23Speaker 2: of comedy and we could take direction really well. And
- 23:26Speaker 2: the director was like so happy with me and like
- 23:29Speaker 2: didn't barely have any notes that he actually called me
- 23:31Speaker 2: after we were filming. He was like, dude, I feel bad.
- 23:33Speaker 2: He was like, after you do your scene, we would
- 23:35Speaker 2: just move on to the next one. And I didn't
- 23:36Speaker 2: tell you that you were doing a good job. I
- 23:38Speaker 2: just I just want to let you know that you
- 23:39Speaker 2: killed it. I was like, hey, no notes is good,
- 23:41Speaker 2: Like I'll take it.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that is awesome. Yeah, because I imagine that dealing especially
- 23:45Speaker 1: dealing with fragile egos of actors. Yeah, you were probably
- 23:50Speaker 1: a breadth of fresh air. But he was probably used
- 23:52Speaker 1: to having to coddle some of the actors and was like, oh,
- 23:54Speaker 1: let me call this guy because yeah, he might think
- 23:57Speaker 1: I hate him or something. Yeah.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I just really learned my lines. I really prepared, and
- 24:00Speaker 2: I went in and just knocked it out. It was
- 24:03Speaker 2: so fun. And uh yeah, so yeah, if somebody wants
- 24:06Speaker 2: to put me in something, I'll do it. I'm not
- 24:08Speaker 2: actively like doing auditions or stuff.
- 24:11Speaker 1: So so can you tell us what the movie is?
- 24:13Speaker 2: And yeah, actually very funny. It's called by Partisan. It's
- 24:16Speaker 2: a it's a documentary about a guy who's running for
- 24:19Speaker 2: mayor of Seam Valley. And I played white guy Pete.
- 24:23Speaker 2: I'm the only white guy on the campaign trail on
- 24:25Speaker 2: a diversity higher.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, this is fantastic.
- 24:32Speaker 6: When didn't you almost didn't you almost lend uh Lee
- 24:35Speaker 6: Harvey Oswald once?
- 24:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah it was. I was. I had a few
- 24:39Speaker 2: auditions for Biopica or the Hosswald I had hair back then.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, at the comedian to played Lee har Yeah. Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I will say this though, you're first of all, real quick,
- 24:51Speaker 1: when does when does a bipartisan come out?
- 24:52Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I don't know what they're going to do with it,
- 24:54Speaker 2: and they're trying to sell it or put it in festival.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Hopefully we'll keep our eyes and ears out of I
- 24:58Speaker 1: will agree with you though, I'm a huge fan and
- 25:00Speaker 1: of comedians quote unquote turned actors because to me, at
- 25:06Speaker 1: the beginning, middle, and end, a comedian at its core
- 25:12Speaker 1: is an actor. You're you are performing, and to a
- 25:15Speaker 1: certain degree, you might be performing yourself. You might be
- 25:18Speaker 1: performing an embellishment of yourself or just straight up made
- 25:21Speaker 1: up stuff. I'll like if you're playing a character on
- 25:26Speaker 1: stage or you're just making stuff up, you know, for
- 25:28Speaker 1: the material. So yeah, I'm all for it. And some
- 25:33Speaker 1: of the best, some of my favorite actors started out
- 25:36Speaker 1: as comedians.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I think comedians understand the comedy dynamics really well, and
- 25:44Speaker 2: a lot I have a lot of friends that are
- 25:45Speaker 2: like serious actors, and if it's not if they don't
- 25:48Speaker 2: understand the comedy, if it's not written specifically, you know
- 25:51Speaker 2: what I mean. Like I think like Raj and I Like,
- 25:53Speaker 2: you see a script, you go, oh, this is the
- 25:55Speaker 2: funny part, this is the beat. And I think a
- 25:57Speaker 2: lot of actors sometimes struggle with that a little bit.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I think comedians are really good to be like, oh
- 26:01Speaker 2: that's what this, I got it.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I kind of put that up there with some of
- 26:07Speaker 1: the actors don't have that same life experience than that
- 26:10Speaker 1: that comedians do, or maybe they're just not as good
- 26:14Speaker 1: at tapping into some of those emotions because most comedians
- 26:17Speaker 1: have had to go through a lot of crap, and
- 26:19Speaker 1: that's why they're on stage working through their stuff.
- 26:21Speaker 2: A lot of trauma.
- 26:24Speaker 1: There's a lot of trauma inside comedians. Uh, we're We're
- 26:28Speaker 1: happy to see that you're doing so well. It's Foster

- 27:17Speaker 1: Malley along with Trey Trenholm, Raj Sharma and today's very
- 27:20Speaker 1: special guest comedian and friend of the show, Justin Foster. Justin.
- 27:23Speaker 1: What are your.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Socials at thhe Justin Foster, the Justin the The Justin Foster.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like my personal one as well as at
- 27:33Speaker 1: the Daniel Maley So yeah, at the Justin Foster give
- 27:36Speaker 1: him a follow as well. Today is Thursday, May first,
- 27:40Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Back to something extremely persistent when it
- 27:48Speaker 1: comes to topics here inside the Treehouse Show. We've talked
- 27:51Speaker 1: a lot about Mount Everest over the past year, and
- 27:55Speaker 1: we're going to do it some more right now, because
- 27:59Speaker 1: if you dream of climbing Mount Everest, pay attention because
- 28:03Speaker 1: Nepal has announced a major rule change for anyone who
- 28:08Speaker 1: wants to climb Mount Everest. Nepal will grant permits to
- 28:13Speaker 1: climb Mount Everest only to those people who have previously
- 28:17Speaker 1: scaled at least one seven thousand meter peak within the country.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Seven thousand meters, by the way, is just shy of
- 28:24Speaker 1: twenty three thousand feet Everest is twenty nine thousand thirty feet.
- 28:29Speaker 1: This is a major shift for the tourism dependent country
- 28:32Speaker 1: on the world's highest mountain because of concerns overcrowding and
- 28:37Speaker 1: ecological imbalance, which both sound like code for the Shurpas
- 28:41Speaker 1: are tired.
- 28:44Speaker 5: The Sherpas are tired of having to go up and
- 28:47Speaker 5: scale Everest and clean up everyone's crap.
- 28:53Speaker 1: And metaphorically that is absolutely true. The Sherpas are not
- 28:56Speaker 1: physically tired. They're not physically tired because those guys are
- 29:02Speaker 1: like mountaineering machines. I assume the sherps are just sick
- 29:05Speaker 1: of carrying American orthodontists that the kids called doctor Kyle
- 29:09Speaker 1: up and down the mountain.
- 29:10Speaker 5: Well, there was a whole documentary I think it's on
- 29:13Speaker 5: Amazon about the sherpa is going up there and again
- 29:16Speaker 5: you're going into an area called the death Zone that's
- 29:20Speaker 5: so lacking oxygen, nothing lives where they have to go
- 29:23Speaker 5: up there basically in the off season and clean up
- 29:27Speaker 5: and and and bag up all these oxygen containers and
- 29:30Speaker 5: all this other stuff. I mean, regardless, disregard all the
- 29:35Speaker 5: dead bodies up there.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's exactly true. And some of those people die.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Some of those people that die up there are left
- 29:43Speaker 1: up there. Some actually get brought down by the sherp
- 29:47Speaker 1: is and tossed them to what I hope they call
- 29:50Speaker 1: a pile of Kyle's.
- 29:51Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 29:52Speaker 5: If you're dead, if you die up there, you're left.
- 29:54Speaker 5: They do not say no.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I think at a certain level they like if if
- 29:58Speaker 1: you don't go beyond a certain point, they might bring
- 30:00Speaker 1: you back. But if it's high up you're like no,
- 30:02Speaker 1: you know.
- 30:02Speaker 5: If you're still breathing, they will try to get you down.
- 30:06Speaker 5: If you're dead, you're that is your final burial.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Like that's the rule. Somebody dies at base camps.
- 30:15Speaker 5: Base camp make but I think probably past base two
- 30:18Speaker 5: you're you're getting left up there because chances are, especially
- 30:22Speaker 5: the lower the altitude, you're probably got hit by an
- 30:26Speaker 5: avalanche or something like that.
- 30:27Speaker 4: They're not digging you out, they're not wasting their time.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:30Speaker 5: Uh, but that that also if you've ever watched some
- 30:33Speaker 5: of the videos over the last couple of years of
- 30:34Speaker 5: the hundreds of people in line waiting to get to
- 30:38Speaker 5: the summit, Yeah, and and a lot of it it's people.
- 30:41Speaker 4: It's people with it rose here you go. It's stupid
- 30:45Speaker 4: white people with too much money.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Yes, And that's why I mentioned American orthodontists that the
- 30:51Speaker 1: kids called doctor Kyle. Uh, because that's what it is.
- 30:54Speaker 1: And this is where I think it's a good thing
- 30:57Speaker 1: that Nepal is saying, Look, we're not going to you
- 31:00Speaker 1: amateur adventurists on this mountain for us to clean up
- 31:06Speaker 1: after or leave your body up there, because it's too busy,
- 31:11Speaker 1: it's too packed. The lines to the top of Everest
- 31:13Speaker 1: are starting to look like the lines at the Texas
- 31:15Speaker 1: giant at six Flags. It's gotten ridiculous. So now they're
- 31:19Speaker 1: gonna say, in order for you to get a permit
- 31:22Speaker 1: to climb Everest, you have to have climbed another peak
- 31:25Speaker 1: in Nepal that's at least twenty three thousand feet, so
- 31:30Speaker 1: you at least show some competency to make it to
- 31:33Speaker 1: the top of Everest and not die.
- 31:38Speaker 6: Yeah, you know you're gonna have all these white people
- 31:40Speaker 6: from la and be like, I like Runyon so.
- 31:44Speaker 3: They can do this.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 2: The suppers are just tired of carrying trash bags full
- 31:48Speaker 2: of monster energy drained down.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I really do think that that that's a big part
- 31:54Speaker 1: of it. I mean, and you know, the first thought is, Okay,
- 31:58Speaker 1: is this is this new rule to I'm Everest a
- 32:00Speaker 1: good idea or is it possibly going to too severely
- 32:03Speaker 1: hurt Nepal's tourism. I'm pretty sure Nepal's tourism like, we're good.
- 32:09Speaker 5: They can just charge more. It's not like there's going
- 32:11Speaker 5: to be a lack of people. And notice they said
- 32:14Speaker 5: in country, so that means you've got to go hike
- 32:18Speaker 5: another mountain in Nepal. So no, I think it's does
- 32:21Speaker 5: nothing but help their business. Because when you go to Everest,
- 32:24Speaker 5: it's not like wam bam, there, I did it. You're
- 32:27Speaker 5: done in three or four days. It's usually a three
- 32:30Speaker 5: to five week period that you're up there from base
- 32:33Speaker 5: camp camp and then acclimating. So, you know, the the
- 32:37Speaker 5: stupid white people that you know want to plump plump
- 32:39Speaker 5: down one hundred thousand plus they'll I think there's still
- 32:43Speaker 5: plenty of them.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I would just like to say, by the way, because
- 32:45Speaker 2: you guys keep saying stupid white people from LA, I
- 32:47Speaker 2: have no desire to in.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn say LA.
- 32:55Speaker 1: But that's that's why the topic is keep That's why
- 32:57Speaker 1: the topic of Everest keeps coming up because at the
- 33:02Speaker 1: core of the different races of humans, the whites are
- 33:05Speaker 1: the ones that are really into adventurous stuff. Were the
- 33:09Speaker 1: ones that get eaten by sharks, were the ones that
- 33:12Speaker 1: die on Everest, were the ones that die hang gliding?
- 33:16Speaker 2: Yes, like his life not scary enough. You gotta go
- 33:19Speaker 2: look for it? What do you do?
- 33:21Speaker 1: Yeah? Like, there was a guy during the NFL draft,
- 33:24Speaker 1: a black kid who got drafted, and he missed his
- 33:26Speaker 1: phone call because his name is Quinn Shawn and he
- 33:30Speaker 1: was taking a dump in the bathroom, whereas someone else
- 33:32Speaker 1: that could have been picked is probably climbing up K
- 33:35Speaker 1: two somewhere in Nepal.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, he didn't get service because he was hand gliding.
- 33:41Speaker 1: But that's why we always make fun of this guy,
- 33:43Speaker 1: and then it really that's why it also leads me
- 33:45Speaker 1: to wonder. True said, it's like one hundred is that accurate?
- 33:49Speaker 1: One hundred thousand dollars roughly.
- 33:51Speaker 5: To It depends, however, but it's I would say minimum
- 33:55Speaker 5: of probably seventy thousand, and then depends on.
- 34:00Speaker 4: How cushy you want your experience to be.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Well, I mean it's gonna be at least ten fifteen,
- 34:04Speaker 1: twenty thousand dollars in north Face apparel because I'm not
- 34:11Speaker 1: going up there in some damn Columbia. I want the
- 34:18Speaker 1: real store.

- 35:22Speaker 1: Christian Gray in fifty Shades of Gray, not the character,
- 35:27Speaker 1: but the guy that played him in the movies. Jamie
- 35:29Speaker 1: Dornan is forty three today. Jamie Dornan turns forty three today.
- 35:33Speaker 1: That's I didn't see any of the movies, but that's
- 35:37Speaker 1: the only thing I really know that guy from. So
- 35:39Speaker 1: if anyone knows him from anything else, feel free to
- 35:41Speaker 1: speak up. Nope, okay. Darius McCrary turns forty nine. He
- 35:45Speaker 1: famously played Eddie Winslow on Family Matters?
- 35:49Speaker 8: Is everyone?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Are you guys aware of the Hollywood conspiracy surrounding Family Matters?
- 35:56Speaker 1: And reginaldvel Johnson? No, but I would love to hear
- 36:01Speaker 1: this all right, here we go, So there is a
- 36:04Speaker 1: theory in some crazy people circles. I'm not saying I'm
- 36:08Speaker 1: one of them. That Reginald Bell Johnson, who is the
- 36:12Speaker 1: actor that plays the patriarch in Family Matters, was also
- 36:18Speaker 1: the sidekick LA police officer Officer Al Powell in die
- 36:23Speaker 1: Hard one and two. So the theory is that in
- 36:28Speaker 1: die Hard, al Powell eventually goes home after die Hard
- 36:33Speaker 1: and Nachotomy Plaza, and he goes home to his family
- 36:37Speaker 1: and Family Matters.
- 36:39Speaker 2: So it's like all connected.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like Aheard universe includes Family Matters and in
- 36:45Speaker 1: the same world as John mcclan and.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I really wish that he'd be like eating a twinkie
- 36:50Speaker 2: in front of Arkle.
- 36:52Speaker 4: He was a cop in Family Matters.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:56Speaker 1: See, there's this is kind of holds some water. And
- 37:00Speaker 1: now what makes it possible that if they do a
- 37:02Speaker 1: die Hard six or seven, whatever number they're on, that
- 37:05Speaker 1: maybe Erkele makes an appearance. Trips Clay More and of
- 37:08Speaker 1: course says, I do that, you know, I think I
- 37:10Speaker 1: think it can all tie together.
- 37:12Speaker 5: How you going to do another die Hard with uh no,
- 37:15Speaker 5: Bruce Wilves, Yeah, he can't talk anymore.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, one of the grooers, one of the groomers
- 37:21Speaker 1: finally get him in the beginning.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Just one act movie is weird.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Literally, you just gotta just just put Bruce Willis in
- 37:33Speaker 5: front of a camera. It just looks like a lost
- 37:35Speaker 5: puppy in the kill him. Yeah, I think that's called
- 37:40Speaker 5: cruel and usual.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh, that's called the Hollywood. They will they will
- 37:43Speaker 1: fund that and make millions of dollars.
- 37:45Speaker 4: I mean Bruce will Like, that's the whole reason why.
- 37:49Speaker 5: In the last so he probably hadn't made a movie
- 37:52Speaker 5: in five years, but but the five years preceding that,
- 37:56Speaker 5: he made all sorts of crap movies, and it was
- 37:59Speaker 5: because he knew he had a diagnosis and he was
- 38:01Speaker 5: just it was a cash grab to get whatever he could.
- 38:04Speaker 1: So and in a lot of those movies, he wasn't
- 38:06Speaker 1: the star. He was on the poster, he had his name,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know, top billing before the title of the film,
- 38:14Speaker 1: but he might have only been in the film for
- 38:15Speaker 1: like three or four minutes.
- 38:16Speaker 4: Yeah, because he couldn't remember any lines.
- 38:19Speaker 1: Yeah, So in essence, they were just kind of propping
- 38:22Speaker 1: him up and using his cloud to you know, make
- 38:24Speaker 1: a little bit of money on some b C level
- 38:27Speaker 1: rated action films. So the thought of them bringing him
- 38:32Speaker 1: back for a final die Hard is not that out
- 38:35Speaker 1: of question.
- 38:37Speaker 5: I mean, if you're to do a final Diehard though,
- 38:40Speaker 5: you have to bring back Samuel Jackson though, don't you.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you got to bring back Zeus. You know what,
- 38:47Speaker 1: maybe maybe there's a reunion there because in the universe
- 38:51Speaker 1: where Al Powell from Die Hard from family Matters, the
- 38:55Speaker 1: neighbor kid is Steve Rkele. Maybe Erkele's long lost dad
- 38:58Speaker 1: is Zeus from die Heard with a vengeance.
- 39:02Speaker 5: And maybe maybe Bruce Willis goes out, they put the
- 39:04Speaker 5: sandwich board back on them and no one saves them.
- 39:11Speaker 3: The end.

- 40:28Speaker 1: is his podcast, which you can catch everywhere you get
- 40:31Speaker 1: your podcast, same places that you get this one as well.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Today is Thursday, May first, twenty twenty five. We were
- 40:37Speaker 1: just celebrating birthdays today and before that we were talking
- 40:41Speaker 1: about the new permit process that Nepal is instituting for
- 40:46Speaker 1: people to climb Everest and Trey. You were telling us
- 40:50Speaker 1: in a break that the airport, like just the airport
- 40:54Speaker 1: to land to do the Everest hike is terrifying, let
- 40:58Speaker 1: alone the mountain itself.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Yes, it's.
- 41:03Speaker 5: I'm actually sending you a video clip of it, but
- 41:06Speaker 5: uh yeah, it's like you are literally it. It's a
- 41:10Speaker 5: runway carved out on the side of a mountain.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Is Oh so my worst nightmare. I already hate heights,
- 41:17Speaker 1: so I'm not going anywhere near the top of Everest.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Yeah, just scary me.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I would even hike It's it wouldn't even be hiking Everest,
- 41:24Speaker 2: it would just be landing at the airport to.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Go to Everest. Yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I don't think I could even do that first part successfully.
- 41:30Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, and when you like I So I've been
- 41:33Speaker 6: to that airport. Uh well, I mean there's the one
- 41:37Speaker 6: in Ladoc is very similar. I'm sure there's one in
- 41:40Speaker 6: actual Nepal, but no is the one is the one? Yeah, okay,
- 41:44Speaker 6: ladoncas I've been to that airport. When you land, you
- 41:47Speaker 6: land at fourteen feet above sea level, so you have
- 41:53Speaker 6: to be you have to have blood thinners otherwise you
- 41:59Speaker 6: it's this weird phenomenon that happens.
- 42:02Speaker 3: I got. So we were in Delhi. From Delhi to
- 42:04Speaker 3: the DOC is an.
- 42:04Speaker 6: Hour and a half flight, which you wouldn't think from
- 42:08Speaker 6: you know, North India to like the northern most part
- 42:11Speaker 6: of India with the Himalays. And I got my blood
- 42:16Speaker 6: thinner at six o'clock in the morning, but we didn't
- 42:18Speaker 6: fly out until noon, and we didn't land until like
- 42:21Speaker 6: almost two, so my blood thinner had worn off. And
- 42:26Speaker 6: you land at fourteen nine hundred feet above sea level
- 42:30Speaker 6: with no blood thinner. It makes for a very interesting situation.
- 42:34Speaker 6: The only way I can explain it is if you
- 42:37Speaker 6: were like when you were in high school or maybe
- 42:41Speaker 6: you know, your first couple of years of college or
- 42:43Speaker 6: at home, and you come home like on a Friday
- 42:46Speaker 6: night and you think your parents are asleep, but they're
- 42:48Speaker 6: still awake, and you're drunk, so you try to pretend
- 42:51Speaker 6: like you're not drunk, but they know you're drunk, but
- 42:55Speaker 6: you think.
- 42:55Speaker 3: They don't know.
- 42:56Speaker 6: So I was walking through the the doc airport and
- 43:00Speaker 6: I was so loud and it was it's the drunkest
- 43:04Speaker 6: you can feel without having any alcohol. I was loud,
- 43:09Speaker 6: I was over enunciating everything, and I was like trying
- 43:13Speaker 6: to play it cool, like just had my luggage and
- 43:15Speaker 6: I'm like.
- 43:16Speaker 3: How are you guys today? Thank you so much for
- 43:18Speaker 3: having a here.
- 43:20Speaker 6: And my handler came running up and she's like, when
- 43:25Speaker 6: was the last time you had a blood diner. I
- 43:27Speaker 6: was like, you gave me one at six and she's like,
- 43:29Speaker 6: oh crap. So she ran to the medical van and
- 43:34Speaker 6: went and got the blood dinner and within three minutes
- 43:38Speaker 6: it was all over and we were good. But yeah,
- 43:41Speaker 6: it's a very interesting feeling and to land it that
- 43:43Speaker 6: high and you could see Everest, which was really cool.
- 43:46Speaker 6: But then we went to Pengong Lake, which is eighteen
- 43:50Speaker 6: nine hundred feet above sea level, and the road that
- 43:52Speaker 6: goes there is supposed to be a two lane road,
- 43:55Speaker 6: but it only fits one car and there's no guardrails
- 43:59Speaker 6: on the.
- 43:59Speaker 1: Side, noep nop.
- 44:01Speaker 6: And I I started like when the guy would turn,
- 44:04Speaker 6: like the wheels, like the tires would be on the
- 44:06Speaker 6: edge of the to let the other cars go by.
- 44:09Speaker 6: What so I mean? I started making stuff up, like
- 44:13Speaker 6: we like make a turn and you could like feel
- 44:16Speaker 6: like the like half the tires on the road and
- 44:19Speaker 6: half the tires not so.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I hate when people clap when you land a plane, right, yeah,
- 44:24Speaker 1: I would. I would would be constantly clapping on that
- 44:27Speaker 1: road anytime we did a successful three point turn.
- 44:31Speaker 6: Oh my god, I would. I was making stuff up.
- 44:33Speaker 6: I was like, you know, please just get me to
- 44:35Speaker 6: peng On Lake safe. You know, my kids are waiting
- 44:37Speaker 6: for me at home.
- 44:37Speaker 1: I don't have kids.
- 44:40Speaker 3: It was just making it up.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Again. And this is my love of documentaries. But some
- 44:45Speaker 5: of the documentaries about Everest, and there's one that almost
- 44:49Speaker 5: part of it or half of it is just the
- 44:51Speaker 5: trip to get to base camp at Everest, and the
- 44:55Speaker 5: the as Raj describes the roads that you may be
- 44:59Speaker 5: hanging off the side of the mountain because there may
- 45:00Speaker 5: be another car. They may be a herd or goats
- 45:03Speaker 5: you don't know, true. And and then some of the
- 45:06Speaker 5: bridges you walk over, Dan, you would not survive. No,
- 45:12Speaker 5: I'm not going because a couple of them, they just
- 45:17Speaker 5: they look like something out of Indiana Jones and the
- 45:19Speaker 5: Temple of Doom.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, no way.
- 45:21Speaker 2: I had an actual panic attack driving over the Golden
- 45:24Speaker 2: Gate Bridge recently.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I've been there and I was kind. I didn't I
- 45:31Speaker 1: couldn't even walk out halfway. I think I went about
- 45:33Speaker 1: a quarter of the way out onto the bridge and.
- 45:35Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm good. Yeah, I can't know, there's no way.
- 45:39Speaker 3: And then we did.
- 45:40Speaker 6: We did part of it on motorcycles. Uh, and it
- 45:42Speaker 6: was snowing, so now snow in a fast.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And furious.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Where where did this white part of you come from?
- 45:52Speaker 6: It's a very Indian It's yeah, it's a very Indian
- 45:54Speaker 6: thing to travel on motorbike. But yeah, I mean we
- 45:58Speaker 6: did the We did the motorcycle and it was.
- 46:02Speaker 3: Same thing. There's no guardrails at all. And so like
- 46:06Speaker 3: we had the.
- 46:06Speaker 6: Military, the Indian military came by because they were doing
- 46:09Speaker 6: some work on the bridge that was that we were
- 46:11Speaker 6: actually going to be crossing.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:16Speaker 6: Uh, but I mean and they were going by so
- 46:18Speaker 6: we had to kind of pull over to the side
- 46:20Speaker 6: and like literally, you know.
- 46:22Speaker 3: The one one of the.
- 46:23Speaker 6: Drivers was like, you know, everything's gonna be fine.
- 46:25Speaker 5: Man.
- 46:25Speaker 6: You know I have kids too, and I'm like in
- 46:27Speaker 6: my head, I'm like, I don't have kids. I just
- 46:29Speaker 6: don't want you to kill me.
- 46:31Speaker 1: There is no way I'm going out on a bridge
- 46:33Speaker 1: where they just took the under construction signed off it.
- 46:37Speaker 6: And he goes, nothing, nothing really happens here. And I
- 46:39Speaker 6: look down and there's a burned out there's like two
- 46:43Speaker 6: burned out trucks, and I go, what's that. He goes, Oh,
- 46:46Speaker 6: that happened yesterday. I go, so, what do you do
- 46:50Speaker 6: with the because it's in the in the ravine, And
- 46:51Speaker 6: I go, what do you do with the bodies? He goes,
- 46:53Speaker 6: they stay there like there's nobody going down there to
- 46:57Speaker 6: retrieve those bodies. That's just where they live. Now.
