- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome to the house. We're so glad you joined us today.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Choosing to tune in to dis serment was not by accident.
- 0:11Speaker 1: And I believe God has a word.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Just for you.
- 0:14Speaker 3: That's right.
- 0:15Speaker 4: God is always using the people of this house to
- 0:19Speaker 4: speak his word. So, whether you're watching from across the
- 0:22Speaker 4: street or maybe you are across the world, if you
- 0:25Speaker 4: are not just a viewer, you are our family.
- 0:29Speaker 1: And we believe that worship doesn't have walls, and experiencing
- 0:33Speaker 1: the goodness of God's spirit doesn't always require a commute.
- 0:38Speaker 4: So are you ready to join us as we fellowship
- 0:42Speaker 4: and unite in spirit and in truth. I want your
- 0:45Speaker 4: hearts to be open because we are going to encounter
- 0:49Speaker 4: God together.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Heymen, we see you, we love you, and we believe
- 0:55Speaker 1: this word is going to change your life.
- 1:01Speaker 2: This text that God gave me. It is in Mark
- 1:09Speaker 2: chapter eight, verse one through six. Can I just say
- 1:15Speaker 2: I love this church. You know, it's been almost a
- 1:21Speaker 2: year since we've been blessed with the incredible privilege to
- 1:24Speaker 2: serve as coasting your pastor. And first of all, I
- 1:32Speaker 2: want to thank y'all for still coming. You know what
- 1:33Speaker 2: I mean, because you know the Great Bishop. Can you
- 1:37Speaker 2: help me acknowledge again the great Bishop and first Lady.
- 1:48Speaker 2: They've laid such an incredible, incredible foundation here, and I'll
- 1:53Speaker 2: be honest, it was a bit intimidating the notion of
- 1:56Speaker 2: coming in and serving in this capacity. I'm just grateful
- 2:00Speaker 2: that God continues to just fill our heart with love
- 2:04Speaker 2: for you all, and I feel the love from you all,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and I just want to thank you for your commitment
- 2:09Speaker 2: and your sensitivity to what God could do in us
- 2:12Speaker 2: and through us. It really means the world to both
- 2:14Speaker 2: my husband and I feel like I can say that
- 2:16Speaker 2: on our behalf. And we love you all tremendously, Lady
- 2:19Speaker 2: Faulma and praying for you. We love you. So many
- 2:22Speaker 2: incredible people are part of the backbone of this church,
- 2:25Speaker 2: and I'm telling you if you limit it to just
- 2:27Speaker 2: who's preaching on Sina, that you're gonna miss the best
- 2:29Speaker 2: part of being here. The best part of being at
- 2:32Speaker 2: this church is the person you sit next to. It's
- 2:35Speaker 2: the parking lot, attendance, the greeterers, it's the ushers. It's
- 2:38Speaker 2: our deacons, our ministers, our elders. It's so much bigger
- 2:42Speaker 2: than one person. It's the collective anointing of all of
- 2:46Speaker 2: us coming together. So can you just help me think
- 2:48Speaker 2: everyone who brings their anointing into this space to create
- 2:53Speaker 2: an atmosphere for God to rest. For those of you
- 2:58Speaker 2: who are taking notes myself objectives, God still cares. God
- 3:03Speaker 2: still cares, and I am in Mark. If you got
- 3:07Speaker 2: your physical Bible, say hold on, okay, Mark Chapter eight
- 3:12Speaker 2: Versus one through six. That's in the New Testament. There's
- 3:18Speaker 2: no shade for those of you who have a digital Bible,
- 3:21Speaker 2: no shade at all. But I'm trying to keep practicing
- 3:25Speaker 2: flipping through my Bible. And if you feel like that's
- 3:28Speaker 2: a part of what you should do, I want to
- 3:29Speaker 2: encourage you to get your physical Bible and bring it
- 3:31Speaker 2: to church sometimes. But also if you ain't got time
- 3:33Speaker 2: for that, that ain't no problem. Okay, God's looking at
- 3:35Speaker 2: the heart of things. Chapter eight in this text begins
- 3:41Speaker 2: Jesus has been with a multitude, and he's been healing them,
- 3:47Speaker 2: and he has been preaching to them, and it is
- 3:50Speaker 2: time for them to depart. And Verse one says, in
- 3:54Speaker 2: those days the multitude being very great and having nothing
- 3:59Speaker 2: to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said
- 4:03Speaker 2: to them, I have compassion on the multitude, because they
- 4:08Speaker 2: have now continued with me three days and have nothing
- 4:13Speaker 2: to eat. And if I send them away hungry to
- 4:17Speaker 2: their own houses, they will faint on the way, for
- 4:20Speaker 2: some of them have come from afar. Then his disciples
- 4:25Speaker 2: answered him, how can one satisfy these people with bread
- 4:30Speaker 2: here in the wilderness. He asked them, how many loads
- 4:35Speaker 2: do you have? And they said seven. So he commanded
- 4:40Speaker 2: the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he
- 4:43Speaker 2: took the seven loads and gave thanks, broke them and
- 4:48Speaker 2: gave them to his disciples to set before them, and
- 4:52Speaker 2: they set them before the multitude. Spirit of the Living God.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We asked that you would breathe in this place, that
- 5:01Speaker 2: you would make your presence undeniably clear to us, that
- 5:06Speaker 2: you would continue the work that you have already begun
- 5:09Speaker 2: in this place. God, I asked that you would look
- 5:12Speaker 2: at my heart, my energy, my capacity, and that you
- 5:15Speaker 2: would take over that where I fall short, that your
- 5:19Speaker 2: grace would be sufficient for me. And God, I thank
- 5:22Speaker 2: you for every person who is meant to hear this word.
- 5:26Speaker 2: May it be a wake up call, a clarion call
- 5:30Speaker 2: to get back in the fight, to be reminded of
- 5:33Speaker 2: the heart that you have for them, and most importantly,
- 5:35Speaker 2: the heart that we must possess for the times that
- 5:38Speaker 2: we live in. God, bless this word is only you
- 5:41Speaker 2: can do. Breathe in me and through me in Jesus' name. Amen.
- 5:47Speaker 2: And then can you say something nice to the person
- 5:49Speaker 2: sit next to you? Tell them they look good all
- 5:54Speaker 2: that dancing and you're not mustye. As a mother, there's
- 6:06Speaker 2: this sign, this alert, if you will, that allows me
- 6:13Speaker 2: to know when my children are in trouble. There are
- 6:17Speaker 2: certain cries. I don't pay attention to it. As a
- 6:20Speaker 2: matter of fact, my daughter the other day she hit
- 6:22Speaker 2: her toe or something in the kitchen and she cried
- 6:25Speaker 2: or something or yelled, and she was like, Mom, I yelled.
- 6:27Speaker 2: You didn't even look up. And it's not that I
- 6:28Speaker 2: didn't care, But you know, you're fine, you know what
- 6:33Speaker 2: I mean. And the older she gets, the more I'm
- 6:37Speaker 2: able to tell her, like, there's a certain cry that
- 6:39Speaker 2: lets me know when things are actually a problem versus
- 6:42Speaker 2: you just like doing things for the vibe, you know
- 6:45Speaker 2: what I mean, Like I think you're just trying to
- 6:46Speaker 2: catch the vibe of thing. And she's getting a little
- 6:48Speaker 2: bit older, and we have older kids, so I have
- 6:50Speaker 2: to worry less about listening for that sound for when
- 6:54Speaker 2: things have actually gone down. And I thought that that
- 6:57Speaker 2: stage of my life was coming to an end, But
- 7:00Speaker 2: then I realize that there's a different sound that I
- 7:03Speaker 2: have to listen out for now too. And this is
- 7:06Speaker 2: a sound that also lets me know when things are
- 7:08Speaker 2: about to go down. But it doesn't come from my children.
- 7:12Speaker 2: This one comes from my parents. There's a warning sign
- 7:20Speaker 2: that lets me know when things are about to go down.
- 7:24Speaker 2: And if you have parents who are entering into a
- 7:27Speaker 2: particular stage of life, you may be familiar with some
- 7:36Speaker 2: of these sounds. There are certain statements that let me
- 7:40Speaker 2: know things are about to take a shift. When my
- 7:43Speaker 2: father starts telling people his age, like I'm sixty eight
- 7:49Speaker 2: years old. When that starts coming out of his mouth,
- 7:52Speaker 2: I know that things are about to take a shift.
- 7:55Speaker 2: When my mother starts saying things like at my age.
- 7:58Speaker 2: You see, because they have this that because they have
- 8:02Speaker 2: reached a certain age, that there are certain things that
- 8:05Speaker 2: no longer apply to them. No, it's not true. They
- 8:16Speaker 2: are trying to make me believe. This is what they're
- 8:18Speaker 2: trying to make me believe that the older they get,
- 8:23Speaker 2: the less they care about things like it's some kind
- 8:26Speaker 2: of biological hornmonali in balance that takes place when you
- 8:31Speaker 2: hit a certain age that keeps you from caring about
- 8:34Speaker 2: the things that you used to care about. And now,
- 8:38Speaker 2: when my parents are out talking to well meaning, well
- 8:40Speaker 2: intentioned people and they say something they don't like, they
- 8:43Speaker 2: start telling people their age, like that's supposed to in
- 8:46Speaker 2: some way make them understand that they are not the
- 8:49Speaker 2: one or the two. I'm sixty eight years when I
- 8:52Speaker 2: get to that. And the thing is this, there is
- 8:57Speaker 2: no scientific backing that says the older you get, the
- 9:00Speaker 2: less you care. Yeah, I hate to break that to you,
- 9:05Speaker 2: and can know amens from that one because some of
- 9:08Speaker 2: us have been waiting to use that for ourselves. I
- 9:10Speaker 2: can't wait to get to the age where I don't
- 9:12Speaker 2: care anymore so I can just say whatever comes to mind.
- 9:16Speaker 2: That's part of the reason why we knew it was
- 9:17Speaker 2: time for succession, because bit It just.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Started saying little things up here when he.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Was preaching, and y'all was clapping and our head was scratching,
- 9:27Speaker 2: like y'all just on class.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Why he called people out like this? And here's the thing.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I was doing research for this message, and I.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Learned something there is a little.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Bit of validity no to the fact that we do
- 9:46Speaker 2: have a limited capacity to care about certain things. It's
- 9:51Speaker 2: not necessarily something that happens with age as much as
- 9:55Speaker 2: it is literally the way that our mind works. But
- 9:59Speaker 2: when you begin to have to channel your energy and
- 10:02Speaker 2: your resources to caring about certain things, it diminishes your capacity.
- 10:08Speaker 5: To care about other things.
- 10:11Speaker 2: If I could say this in a country adage kind
- 10:14Speaker 2: of way, I would say, the more I care, the
- 10:16Speaker 2: less I care. That'll hit you later in the car.
- 10:20Speaker 2: But when you go through some things, some situations that
- 10:24Speaker 2: make a demand on your attention and your capacity, you
- 10:28Speaker 2: begin to realize that I can't care about this and
- 10:31Speaker 2: care about what you think at the same time. You
- 10:34Speaker 2: understand what I'm saying. When a patient is in the
- 10:40Speaker 2: ICU ward, they're.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Not worried about whether.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Or not they need to get their car washed, because
- 10:44Speaker 2: I have to channel all of my energy and to
- 10:47Speaker 2: caring about this right now, I don't have the capacity
- 10:50Speaker 2: to care for that. When someone is going through a
- 10:55Speaker 2: situation where they're trying to keep a roof over their head,
- 10:59Speaker 2: they don't have they to care about whether or not
- 11:02Speaker 2: You've seen the last episode of Paradise. Baby. I'm in
- 11:05Speaker 2: a fight for my life right now. I don't have
- 11:08Speaker 2: time to be entertained. I'm trying to make sure that
- 11:10Speaker 2: there's food on the table. The more that I have
- 11:12Speaker 2: to channel my energy into caring about this, the less
- 11:16Speaker 2: capacity I have to care about that. There have been
- 11:21Speaker 2: some seasons where even people in this room have gone
- 11:26Speaker 2: through depressions so dark and so heavy.
- 11:29Speaker 5: That while people were talking about what.
- 11:31Speaker 2: They had on or whether or not their house was clean,
- 11:33Speaker 2: they didn't realize that it was taking everything they had
- 11:36Speaker 2: to just open their eyes. I didn't have time to
- 11:41Speaker 2: care about whether or not the house was clean. I
- 11:43Speaker 2: didn't have time to care about brushing my teeth. It
- 11:46Speaker 2: took everything I had to say alive. There are some
- 11:48Speaker 2: moments in our life where we have to channel everything
- 11:51Speaker 2: we have into caring about what is in front of us.
- 11:55Speaker 2: There is nothing that prioritizes our compassion like the reality
- 11:59Speaker 2: that we are in a fight that is going to
- 12:01Speaker 2: make a demand on everything we have and things that
- 12:05Speaker 2: we don't even realize that we have.
- 12:07Speaker 5: It's going to take everything I got.
- 12:09Speaker 2: So you had to have to go through some things
- 12:11Speaker 2: where you start realizing, like I used to care what
- 12:13Speaker 2: people thought about me, but then I almost lost my mind.
- 12:17Speaker 2: So I had to take care of my own thoughts.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I used to care what people said about me, but
- 12:22Speaker 2: then I realized that if I didn't get a hold
- 12:24Speaker 2: of my own language, I was gonna be in a fight.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I used to care about what other people's kids was doing,
- 12:29Speaker 2: until it was my kids that was in a mess.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I used to care about what was going on at
- 12:33Speaker 2: so and so's church and so and so's.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Marriage, until it was my marriage and my house.
- 12:38Speaker 2: See, life makes this re demand on us that require
- 12:41Speaker 2: us to start paying attention to what's happening in our world.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I gotta pay attention to what's happening in my neighborhood.
- 12:48Speaker 5: I got to sweep around my own front porch.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I'm in a fight right now.
- 12:53Speaker 5: I'm in a season of.
- 12:54Speaker 2: My life where if I don't focus, I'm going to
- 12:56Speaker 2: lose this opportunity. If I don't buckle down, my marriage.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Is gonna fall apart.
- 13:01Speaker 2: If I don't start prophesying and declaring, the depression is
- 13:05Speaker 2: gonna have the final say.
- 13:06Speaker 5: I wish I could talk to somebody who didn't just
- 13:09Speaker 5: come to play.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Church, But you know what it's like to be in
- 13:12Speaker 2: a situation where you cannot afford to care about what
- 13:16Speaker 2: you used to care about any longer. I used to
- 13:18Speaker 2: care about looking stupid. I used to care that someone
- 13:21Speaker 2: thought that I didn't have what it takes. Now I'm
- 13:24Speaker 2: so hungry to get a word from God. I'm so
- 13:26Speaker 2: hungry to be everything I can be in God that
- 13:29Speaker 2: I don't have time to care about what you think.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I used to not lift my hands in church because
- 13:34Speaker 2: I didn't want anybody to think that I was the
- 13:36Speaker 2: one in trouble. But baby, I got into some trouble
- 13:39Speaker 2: that made me stop caring what you thought about it.
- 13:42Speaker 2: My life made me hit some roads that made me
- 13:45Speaker 2: stop caring what you thought about my worship. Y'all come
- 13:48Speaker 2: to church sometimes and you laugh at the people who
- 13:50Speaker 2: run around, and laugh at the people who sat around. Baby,
- 13:53Speaker 2: you don't know what they've been through. They've been through
- 13:55Speaker 2: some things in their life. If you knew from where
- 13:58Speaker 2: the Lord brought them, if you knew what the devil
- 14:01Speaker 2: was trying to do to.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Them, you wouldn't care either.
- 14:04Speaker 2: You wouldn't care if it was loud, you wouldn't care
- 14:07Speaker 2: if it was unruler. You wouldn't care if it God
- 14:10Speaker 2: on other people's nerves. As for men my house, we're
- 14:13Speaker 2: gonna praise the Lord because my house was taken. My
- 14:18Speaker 2: house almost tang tumbling down, but God took care of me.
- 14:22Speaker 2: When you realize that God took care of you, it
- 14:25Speaker 2: changes the way. I don't have capacity to care about
- 14:34Speaker 2: what I used to care about.
- 14:36Speaker 5: I don't have the capacity.
- 14:38Speaker 2: To give attention to what I used to give attention to.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Let the rumor spread.
- 14:44Speaker 5: The truth will outlast the rumor.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Anything I'm gonna say stedfast, unmovable, always upounding, and the
- 14:52Speaker 2: work of the Lord. God will take care of the rumors.
- 14:55Speaker 2: God will take care of the battles. I don't have.
- 14:57Speaker 5: Time to taste down every life.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I got to hand on the truth. The devil tried
- 15:02Speaker 2: to take the truth from me. The ability to recognize
- 15:17Speaker 2: when what you pay attention to and what you care
- 15:21Speaker 2: about needs to shift requires intentionality. Sometimes it's got to shift,
- 15:32Speaker 2: and people will be expecting you to care about the
- 15:36Speaker 2: things you used to care about, not realizing that the
- 15:41Speaker 2: moment has required you to shift your attention. The human
- 15:49Speaker 2: brain literally does not have the capacity to care about
- 15:54Speaker 2: everything at the same time. That's why it's so dangerous
- 15:59Speaker 2: the new cycle that we live in so overwhelming social media.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I don't know if you're like me, but I've had
- 16:08Speaker 2: these moments where I was scrolling or looking at what
- 16:12Speaker 2: was happening in the news, and I put my phone
- 16:15Speaker 2: down and I felt defeated and deflated.
- 16:20Speaker 5: Things happening thousands of miles.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Away technically doesn't have anything to do with me, but
- 16:27Speaker 2: still so devastating that I don't know what to do
- 16:31Speaker 2: about it. Millions of people losing their jobs to AI
- 16:38Speaker 2: war breaking out, murder and death. There are moments where
- 16:43Speaker 2: literally I don't have the capacity to care about everything.
- 16:50Speaker 5: This is a phenomenon that.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Takes place called compassion collapse. Compassion collapse is where people
- 17:01Speaker 2: begin to feel less empathy the greater the scale of
- 17:06Speaker 2: the trauma. Let me say that real good. So it's
- 17:10Speaker 2: the difference between hearing that three million people have lost
- 17:13Speaker 2: access to healthcare and then seeing that one go Fundme
- 17:17Speaker 2: page of that one person who's in need of money
- 17:21Speaker 2: for surgery. When we can put an individual with a cause,
- 17:26Speaker 2: we are more likely to respond from a place of
- 17:29Speaker 2: compassion because we feel empowered enough to respond on that
- 17:34Speaker 2: individual level. But the greater the issue, the greater the concern,
- 17:39Speaker 2: the more powerless we feel. And when we feel powerless,
- 17:44Speaker 2: our compassion collapses. It's called compassion collapse. And so I
- 17:52Speaker 2: have been challenging myself to not just read what I
- 17:56Speaker 2: see on the headlines as entertainment, but to remember or information,
- 18:01Speaker 2: but to remember that it is devastation. Oh, we have
- 18:07Speaker 2: to not allow ourselves to become so apathetic that we
- 18:14Speaker 2: just read headlines, prose our apps, and feel nothing at all,
- 18:24Speaker 2: because when we move into a space of apathy, we
- 18:28Speaker 2: also become stagnant. And when we become stagnant, we are
- 18:32Speaker 2: no longer able to affect change. Come on, guys, this
- 18:39Speaker 2: is how we will lose the battle against wickedness and evil.
- 18:44Speaker 2: We will see it on a large scale and convince
- 18:48Speaker 2: ourselves that because it's happening on a large scale, we
- 18:51Speaker 2: can do nothing about it. And then when we do
- 18:54Speaker 2: nothing about it, nothing gets done about it.
- 19:02Speaker 5: Oh, God, if the enemy.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Can convince you that there's nothing you can do about it,
- 19:09Speaker 2: then you will not lay hold of territory. That God
- 19:12Speaker 2: has a sign to your annoincy or this not in
- 19:15Speaker 2: my notes, but this is for somebody. Don't allow the
- 19:19Speaker 2: size of the catastrophe to diminish your compassion, because your
- 19:24Speaker 2: compassion leads to action, and if you can't feel it,
- 19:27Speaker 2: then you can't go and get them. And if you
- 19:30Speaker 2: just think it's a part of being in this life,
- 19:32Speaker 2: then you will not step into the trauma of someone else's.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Situation and deliver the good news.
- 19:38Speaker 2: The two server God, who is a healer, the cho
- 19:40Speaker 2: server God who is a waymaker, the two server God
- 19:43Speaker 2: who takes what.
- 19:44Speaker 5: The enemy meant for evil and turns it for good.
- 19:47Speaker 2: We cannot afford to be apathetic at a time when
- 19:50Speaker 2: the world is falling apart. This is not a message
- 19:57Speaker 2: for people who just want to have church. This is
- 20:01Speaker 2: a message for people who want to beat the church.
- 20:06Speaker 2: When you opened up your eyes this morning, service started.
- 20:12Speaker 2: When your eyes woke up and you put your feet
- 20:16Speaker 2: on the floor, that is when church began. And if
- 20:19Speaker 2: you are waiting for the musicians to get in place
- 20:23Speaker 2: and the worship leaders to grab the microphone for turks
- 20:26Speaker 2: to begin, you have missed the whole moment. Don't let
- 20:29Speaker 2: the enemy destruct you with production. The real work happens
- 20:33Speaker 2: outside of here.
- 20:40Speaker 5: So this is what.
- 20:44Speaker 2: You have to do. The Lord has been challenging me
- 20:51Speaker 2: to learn how to care without carrying. So the answer
- 21:02Speaker 2: is I can't just not care at all. I have
- 21:07Speaker 2: to find a way to care without carrying. Oh Jesus,
- 21:16Speaker 2: Hannah wanted to have a child and Samuel. She wanted
- 21:22Speaker 2: to have a child. She wanted to have the baby
- 21:24Speaker 2: so bad, and she was carrying it with her and
- 21:28Speaker 2: everyone knew she wanted to have a child, and it
- 21:30Speaker 2: was bothering her and she was carrying it and carrying it.
- 21:33Speaker 2: But there was something that happened when she was at
- 21:36Speaker 2: the Jerusalem and she was at the temple, and she said,
- 21:39Speaker 2: something's got to shift.
- 21:40Speaker 5: In the way that I'm looking at this situation.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Because the way that I'm looking at this situation is
- 21:47Speaker 2: causing me to carry it in a way that is
- 21:49Speaker 2: detrimental to the way that I'm sewing up in life.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Oh God, help me to say that's real good.
- 21:57Speaker 2: So she went into the temple so that she can
- 22:00Speaker 2: have a conversation with the Lord. She poured her heart
- 22:04Speaker 2: out to the Lord because she needed the Lord to
- 22:08Speaker 2: understand that what's in my heart that I care about
- 22:11Speaker 2: is now becoming too heavy for.
- 22:13Speaker 5: Me to carry on my own. So Lord, I need you.
- 22:16Speaker 2: To show me how to care without carrying. It to
- 22:19Speaker 2: the point where I'm depressed too, without carrying it, to
- 22:22Speaker 2: the point where it's the only thing that I see.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I went there were some people in this room who
- 22:27Speaker 2: knew what it was like to care for someone but
- 22:30Speaker 2: not want to have to carry it any longer. I
- 22:33Speaker 2: care about what's going through, but I can't carry you
- 22:37Speaker 2: any longer.
- 22:38Speaker 5: I wanted to be.
- 22:39Speaker 2: There for you, but now I think I may have
- 22:41Speaker 2: become your savior. I want to care about you, but
- 22:45Speaker 2: I can't carry you like this.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Anymore.
- 22:51Speaker 2: God, show me how to care without carrying it. God,
- 22:56Speaker 2: show me how to pour my heart out so that
- 22:58Speaker 2: you can take inventory of what's inside of me, so
- 23:01Speaker 2: that you can show me what's been happening within me,
- 23:04Speaker 2: so that I can lay this thing down at your feet.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I can't afford to have the weight of the world
- 23:09Speaker 2: on my shoulders. It's making me ineffective for the moment
- 23:12Speaker 2: I'm standing in. I want to care about what's happening,
- 23:16Speaker 2: but I don't want to care so much that I'm
- 23:17Speaker 2: left stagnant. Lord show me.
- 23:19Speaker 5: How to care without carrying.
- 23:23Speaker 2: That's been my prayer. I don't want to have to
- 23:25Speaker 2: control my children's outcome. I don't want to have to
- 23:28Speaker 2: control with. I don't want to feel like I'm the
- 23:30Speaker 2: one that's in control of everything. I want to care,
- 23:33Speaker 2: but I want to trust you with it. Catch your
- 23:35Speaker 2: burdens on him.
- 23:37Speaker 5: I want to care without carrying it. I'm sorry, but I.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Got to give you back to the Lord. And that
- 23:42Speaker 2: don't even require a conversation. All you got to do
- 23:44Speaker 2: is get in your prayer closet. They don't even have
- 23:47Speaker 2: to know that you're not caring any longer. I realized
- 23:49Speaker 2: that I was trying to be there for you and
- 23:51Speaker 2: lost myself.
- 23:52Speaker 5: I got to learn to care without carrying.
- 23:55Speaker 2: I'm drowning myself trying to save you. It's time for
- 23:57Speaker 2: me to care without carrying. The greatest gift you can
- 24:01Speaker 2: give someone is the truth that you can't carry them.
- 24:07Speaker 5: Through every season. They need the Lord. They need the God.
- 24:13Speaker 2: That you serve, not you, to become their God. And
- 24:17Speaker 2: the only way may they may ever find God is
- 24:20Speaker 2: if you stop carrying them so that they can fall
- 24:23Speaker 2: back on the one who was there all alone. I
- 24:26Speaker 2: need you to know them for yourself. I need you
- 24:28Speaker 2: to lean into your own prayers.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Your prayers reach Heaven just like mine. I may no more,
- 24:34Speaker 5: no more, no more versus.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I may have more things to say, but your prayers
- 24:39Speaker 2: reach Heaven just like mine. If you never came to church,
- 24:42Speaker 2: if you never heard from a prophet, you got to
- 24:45Speaker 2: learn to get in your own prayer clauset so that
- 24:47Speaker 2: you can start taking what's happening in you into the
- 24:51Speaker 2: presence of the Lord, so that he can show you
- 24:53Speaker 2: what's the problem and what's not.
- 24:55Speaker 5: So that he can show you how to move, how
- 24:57Speaker 5: to function.
- 24:58Speaker 2: How to speak. Because what happens to me when I
- 25:01Speaker 2: take what I'm carrying into the presence of the Lord,
- 25:05Speaker 2: he shows me what I'm meant to lay down, and
- 25:08Speaker 2: he shows me how to be strong enough to keep
- 25:11Speaker 2: moving with what is assigned to me.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Oh God, help me to say this real good.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Some of you are carrying things that were not assigned
- 25:19Speaker 2: to you. They were just given to you. And that's
- 25:22Speaker 2: why you got to lay yourself out before.
- 25:24Speaker 5: The Lord to make sure that you're not carrying.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Something that was just given to you by someone else,
- 25:29Speaker 2: instead of asking the Lord, this is what they gave me.
- 25:32Speaker 2: But what do you want me to do about it?
- 25:34Speaker 2: It is not my job to be the problem solver.
- 25:38Speaker 2: How can I call you the waymaker and then try
- 25:40Speaker 2: to make a way for somebody else. How can I
- 25:43Speaker 2: call you the healer and then try and come up
- 25:45Speaker 2: with a formula of myself?
- 25:47Speaker 5: God, what is it that you want me to say?
- 25:49Speaker 5: What is it that you want me to do?
- 25:51Speaker 2: Or what is it that you want me to leave alone?
- 25:59Speaker 7: The King of Assyrias sends letters to Hezekiah, sends them
- 26:05Speaker 7: these letters making fun of Judah, threatening their demise.
- 26:12Speaker 2: He's literally a man with the weight of the world
- 26:14Speaker 2: on his shoulders. And if he moves into autopilot, he'll
- 26:19Speaker 2: begin gathering the military and telling them how they should
- 26:23Speaker 2: respond and how they should structure themselves. But has Akayah
- 26:27Speaker 2: had enough wisdom this so called you got to read
- 26:31Speaker 2: In the Second King, he takes the letters from the
- 26:35Speaker 2: King of Assyria into the temple and he lays it
- 26:39Speaker 2: out on the temple because he wants everyone to understate
- 26:44Speaker 2: it that the threats may have come from the King
- 26:47Speaker 2: of Assyria, but the solution cannot come from me. The
- 26:51Speaker 2: solution has to come from a place that's greater than me.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And if I respond on autopilot, I may respond incorrectly.
- 26:58Speaker 2: This is not mine to car I gotta take this
- 27:01Speaker 2: to the one who knows the end from the beginning.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I gotta take my hands y'all was singing.
- 27:06Speaker 5: Take my hands off of it.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Now we're gonna preest. Take your hands off of it,
- 27:10Speaker 2: because there comes some moments where you gotta lay some
- 27:14Speaker 2: things down.
- 27:17Speaker 5: I gotta lay it out on.
- 27:18Speaker 2: The altar because this is too heavy for me to carry.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Worried about your family, worried about the world, worried about
- 27:30Speaker 2: the business as if it started with you, Worried that
- 27:37Speaker 2: you can mess it up, worried that in some way
- 27:41Speaker 2: you could do something that will undo what God has
- 27:45Speaker 2: already declared. And so you carry it like it started
- 27:51Speaker 2: with you, and you carry it like no one can
- 27:55Speaker 2: do it but you. And then you can't sleep at
- 27:58Speaker 2: night and you are crumbling, and they're still throwing stuff
- 28:05Speaker 2: on you because you.
- 28:07Speaker 5: Have allowed them to believe that you can carry.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Things the two were never meant to carry. Oh. I
- 28:14Speaker 2: don't know who you are in this room, but I
- 28:16Speaker 2: hear prophetically you're dealing with some kind of illness and
- 28:21Speaker 2: nobody knows it. This is a word of knowledge. And
- 28:25Speaker 2: you have allowed people to continue dumping on you in
- 28:29Speaker 2: a way that is not healthy because you don't want
- 28:32Speaker 2: them to see you be less than what they've known
- 28:35Speaker 2: you to be.
- 28:37Speaker 5: And I hear God saying that.
- 28:39Speaker 2: You may need to readjust their experience of you if
- 28:44Speaker 2: you're going to beat this condition.
- 28:46Speaker 5: I don't know who you are, but that's the word
- 28:48Speaker 5: of knowledge.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Just because you can carry it in the past doesn't
- 28:53Speaker 2: mean that you're in a position to carry it now.
- 28:58Speaker 2: I see. Sometimes you gotta let people know, yeah, I
- 29:05Speaker 2: see you. Sometimes you gotta let people know I can't
- 29:10Speaker 2: carry what I used to carry. Don't let surpride get
- 29:16Speaker 2: in a way. Sometimes you need some help, letting somebody
- 29:22Speaker 2: carry you this time. And until you tell us, we
- 29:29Speaker 2: won't know that you don't have the capacity that you
- 29:33Speaker 2: once had. I don't know who that is, for it
- 29:36Speaker 2: is not in my notes, but I believe that is
- 29:38Speaker 2: the word from God, that it is okay for you
- 29:42Speaker 2: to not have the same strength that you once had.
- 29:46Speaker 2: The problem is if you allow.
- 29:49Speaker 5: People to continue to believe that you have the.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Strength that you no longer possessed. There are some of
- 29:56Speaker 2: you who have carried others for so long that you
- 29:59Speaker 2: don't even see the the strength that God has placed
- 30:01Speaker 2: around you. And I hear God saying that I have
- 30:04Speaker 2: placed people in your world who have the capacity to
- 30:08Speaker 2: carry some of the things that once were your responsibility.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I'll tell you, Jesus shows us the reality of us
- 30:19Speaker 2: needing to master the ability to care without carrying when
- 30:24Speaker 2: he looks at a different multitude. He looks at the multitude,
- 30:29Speaker 2: and he tells the disciples the harvest is plentiful. This
- 30:34Speaker 2: is in Matthew nine thirty seven through thirty eight. I've
- 30:39Speaker 2: grown up hearing this all the time, and whenever I
- 30:43Speaker 2: hear this text, I always think to myself, the harvest
- 30:46Speaker 2: truly is plentiful, but the labors are you when I
- 30:48Speaker 2: hear this as a clarion call for those of us
- 30:51Speaker 2: who consider ourselves disciples to go out into the harvest.
- 30:56Speaker 5: But this is not what Jesus tells the disciples.
- 31:00Speaker 7: Jesus doesn't say.
- 31:01Speaker 2: The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, So
- 31:04Speaker 2: get out into the field, Jesus says. In verse thirty eight,
- 31:08Speaker 2: he says, therefore, pray the.
- 31:10Speaker 5: Lord of the harvest.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Hold on, pray, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 31:13Speaker 2: hold on. Not every problem means that you need to
- 31:17Speaker 2: immediately step in and make yourself the.
- 31:19Speaker 5: Solution Jesus says, there is a problem here.
- 31:26Speaker 2: The harvest is plenty four and the laborers are few.
- 31:30Speaker 2: But don't just make yourself a laborer, because you may
- 31:33Speaker 2: send yourself in the wrong field. What I want you
- 31:37Speaker 2: to do instead is I want you to pray to.
- 31:40Speaker 5: The Lord of the harvest.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Verse thirty eight.
- 31:46Speaker 5: Put it on the screen for me, because I want.
- 31:47Speaker 2: You to see it. He says. Therefore, pray the Lord
- 31:51Speaker 2: of the harvest to send out laborers into your harvest. Ah,
- 31:58Speaker 2: they say, your heart harvest. Who's harvest is it? Who's
- 32:04Speaker 2: harvest is it? I know you think it's your child,
- 32:07Speaker 2: But who's harvest is it? I know you think it's
- 32:10Speaker 2: your problem, But who's harvest is it? Got it? Before
- 32:13Speaker 2: you just make it your responsibility to carry something. I
- 32:17Speaker 2: want you to pray to the Lord of the harvest
- 32:20Speaker 2: that he would send out labors into his harvest. This
- 32:23Speaker 2: is a word for somebody who has made it your
- 32:26Speaker 2: responsibility to be the solution that is not biblical. The
- 32:30Speaker 2: solution is for you to pray to the Lord of
- 32:33Speaker 2: the harvest that he would give direction for his harvest.
- 32:41Speaker 2: This is what he tells the disciples, This is his harvest.
- 32:47Speaker 5: Oh, that's a word for people who are working with
- 32:54Speaker 5: other people, and.
- 32:56Speaker 2: You got compassion fatigue because you're trying to be everything
- 33:00Speaker 2: that you can be for somebody else. If you can
- 33:03Speaker 2: remember that this is the Lord's harvest. I love you all.
- 33:07Speaker 2: I want to pass it here for a very long time,
- 33:10Speaker 2: but I don't want to lose my life or lose
- 33:13Speaker 2: my relationship with God trying to make you my harvest.
- 33:16Speaker 2: So it is my responsibility to always remember that this
- 33:20Speaker 2: church did not start with me, and it is not
- 33:23Speaker 2: going to die because of me. And I'm not gonna
- 33:26Speaker 2: die because of it unless the Lord says the same,
- 33:29Speaker 2: Because this is the Lord's harvest. God, you tell me
- 33:32Speaker 2: what you want me to seek. God, you show me
- 33:34Speaker 2: how you want me to move. Do you show what's
- 33:37Speaker 2: who you want to be in position? Because this is
- 33:40Speaker 2: your harvest. Jesus recognizes something that we don't recognize. Our
- 33:49Speaker 2: compassion does not have the ability to scale like his.
- 33:58Speaker 2: This is why we have fatigue. This is why we
- 34:02Speaker 2: experience compassion collapse is because our compassion doesn't know how
- 34:07Speaker 2: to scale. That's why we become overloaded when we're inundated
- 34:11Speaker 2: with devastation, because we literally don't know how to care
- 34:14Speaker 2: about everything, and that is what makes us different than God,
- 34:19Speaker 2: because his compassion faileth not. Oh God, help me. You see,
- 34:26Speaker 2: it's not my job to care about everything. It is
- 34:30Speaker 2: my job to pray about everything. But if I care
- 34:34Speaker 2: about everything, I will be effective at nothing.
- 34:38Speaker 5: I have to care about.
- 34:40Speaker 2: What God has placed in front of me and pray
- 34:43Speaker 2: for the labors of the other field to rise up.
- 34:46Speaker 2: So when I pray, I am not in politics. God
- 34:49Speaker 2: hasn't called me to politics. But when I pray, I
- 34:52Speaker 2: pray that God will raise up righteous men and politics,
- 34:56Speaker 2: that it will shine a light on darkness and wickedness.
- 34:59Speaker 5: Every plot and plant of the enemy will be exposed
- 35:02Speaker 5: and destroyed.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Because I recognize, though it's not my field, it's all connected.
- 35:07Speaker 2: So I'm praying for you in your field. I'm praying
- 35:10Speaker 2: for you in health care. I'm praying for you in education.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I'm praying for you in the criminal justice. It may
- 35:16Speaker 2: not be my field, but it doesn't mean I can't
- 35:18Speaker 2: pray about it.
- 35:22Speaker 5: I'm praying for you. I'm praying for you.
- 35:25Speaker 2: It may not be my situation, it may not be
- 35:27Speaker 2: my testimony, but I recognize that I have the authority
- 35:31Speaker 2: to use Heaven's agenda as it relates to what's happening
- 35:35Speaker 2: in your field while also taking care of what's in
- 35:38Speaker 2: front of me.
- 35:39Speaker 5: I'm not annointed to do everything. I'm not annointed to.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Take care of every problem, and so what I am
- 35:47Speaker 2: annointed to do, I will do, and what I am
- 35:53Speaker 2: anointed to do is going to take all of me
- 35:56Speaker 2: to do it. So don't allow yourself to become spread
- 36:00Speaker 2: then trying to do everything for everyone. You gotta be concentrated, potent, powerful,
- 36:07Speaker 2: You need all of Heaven's resources. You gotta have the
- 36:09Speaker 2: whole gift of God stirred up on the inside of you.
- 36:12Speaker 2: And you gotta know what you're annointed to do and
- 36:14Speaker 2: what you're not annointed to do, and be okay with that.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Why do you even want to be a preacher? You
- 36:20Speaker 2: not anointed to preach? You annointed to build businesses? Why
- 36:23Speaker 2: do you want to build businesses? You not annoyed it
- 36:26Speaker 2: to build businesses. You annoyed it to do book. You
- 36:28Speaker 2: gotta know what you are annoyed to do, and you
- 36:30Speaker 2: gotta throw everything at it because you recognize that what
- 36:34Speaker 2: I am anointed to do establishes the Kingdom of Heaven
- 36:37Speaker 2: and whatever I do. That's why I do that which
- 36:40Speaker 2: I am called to do. I gotta qualify it first.
- 36:44Speaker 2: We get all kinds of people sending us all kinds
- 36:47Speaker 2: of things that we should do, But our question is
- 36:50Speaker 2: am I anointed to do it? Because in the end,
- 36:54Speaker 2: only what I do for Christ is going to stand
- 36:57Speaker 2: and I cannot be pressured and to being who you
- 36:59Speaker 2: need me to be and miss out on who God
- 37:02Speaker 2: has called me to be, which means I may disappoint
- 37:04Speaker 2: you to step into my divine appointment. But I'm okay
- 37:08Speaker 2: disappointing you. If it means I can step into my
- 37:11Speaker 2: divine appointment, then it has so God's can passion scales
- 37:24Speaker 2: on a level that ours doesn't. What would make us
- 37:29Speaker 2: collapse does not overwhelm God. This is why he says
- 37:35Speaker 2: you can cast your burdens on him, not just you,
- 37:38Speaker 2: but the person besides you, and not just them, but
- 37:41Speaker 2: the person beside them, because He has capacity for that.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's why you can point them to God without guilt,
- 37:48Speaker 2: because he has capacity for that. He's got capacity. He's
- 37:53Speaker 2: got enough capacity to hold the universe together in one hand,
- 37:57Speaker 2: but also recognize when a woman touched to him of
- 37:59Speaker 2: his garment He's got capacity for that.
- 38:02Speaker 5: He's got enough capacity.
- 38:03Speaker 2: To name every star in the sky and count every
- 38:06Speaker 2: pair on your head. He's got capacity for that. He's
- 38:10Speaker 2: got enough capacity to rejoice with those who are rejoicing,
- 38:14Speaker 2: and enough capacity to mourn with those who mourn. He's
- 38:17Speaker 2: got enough capacity for that. He's got enough capacity to
- 38:21Speaker 2: prepare a place for me and also make an a
- 38:24Speaker 2: session on my behalf. He's got capacity. He's got capacity
- 38:31Speaker 2: to be in this house and your house. He's got
- 38:34Speaker 2: capacity to be with the widow and the newly winning.
- 38:37Speaker 2: He's got capacity to be with the new born and
- 38:40Speaker 2: the cancer worn. He's got capacity to be in hospital
- 38:44Speaker 2: and the hospital. He's got capacity to be in your
- 38:47Speaker 2: marriage and my marriage. He's got capacity to help me
- 38:51Speaker 2: raise the town and then help me let go at
- 38:53Speaker 2: the town. He's got capacity to help me grieve what
- 38:56Speaker 2: didn't go my way and build what's coming. You better
- 39:02Speaker 2: know who your God is. He's never weary. He's compaccity.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Tell us not, I've got enough capacity for that. You
- 39:12Speaker 2: ain't angry, I got capacity for that. You scared?
- 39:15Speaker 5: I got capacity for that.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I just got pulled thinking about how broad
- 39:37Speaker 2: and how wise and how deep his love is. I've
- 39:40Speaker 2: started thinking about the length and the with in the
- 39:42Speaker 2: depth of his love. Enough capacity to be in your
- 39:49Speaker 2: past and your future while still helping you walk out
- 39:54Speaker 2: the present. Enough capacity to know the end from the
- 39:57Speaker 2: beginning and let you complain anyway. He's got enough capacity
- 40:01Speaker 2: for you.
- 40:02Speaker 5: To lose your faith, for him to never give up
- 40:04Speaker 5: on you.
- 40:04Speaker 2: He's got enough capacity to like, he's quite out, God,
- 40:08Speaker 2: why you have forsaken me? But I also be right
- 40:11Speaker 2: there with you.
- 40:23Speaker 5: So don't ever let.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Anybody tell you that you can't question God, because he
- 40:32Speaker 2: has enough capacity for whatever your questions are. You gotta
- 40:42Speaker 2: know that his compassion really doesn't fail. I'mlike humans when
- 40:50Speaker 2: we are overwhelmed with what's happening in the world. Compassion
- 40:53Speaker 2: wakes him up. Tragedy wakes him up, Sickness moves.
- 40:59Speaker 5: Him because that's who he is.
- 41:04Speaker 2: His compassion doesn't fail even when we do see some
- 41:11Speaker 2: of us our compassion fails when we realize you got
- 41:17Speaker 2: yourself into this mess. It's a difference between like, oh
- 41:21Speaker 2: my God, somebody robbed me, and they're like, yah, I
- 41:23Speaker 2: want to buy me a person now I don't have
- 41:25Speaker 2: money for rent, and it's like, well, girl, you know,
- 41:30Speaker 2: our compassion runs out when somebody did something. We have
- 41:37Speaker 2: no problem responding when someone's the victim. But what makes
- 41:41Speaker 2: God different from us is he responds even when we're
- 41:44Speaker 2: the villain. God steal cares. When Adam and Eve were
- 41:56Speaker 2: in the garden and they ate from the fruit that
- 42:00Speaker 2: he told him not to be from, and they found
- 42:02Speaker 2: themselves naked and tried to cover themselves with seg leaves.
- 42:07Speaker 2: If he were like us, he would have said, you
- 42:09Speaker 2: got yourself into that, and now you got to.
- 42:11Speaker 5: See yourself out.
- 42:12Speaker 2: But God goes in tins an animal and he slaughters
- 42:15Speaker 2: the animal.
- 42:16Speaker 5: And he makes them their own clothes.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Because I still care about you even when you're wrong.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I still care about that. Even when you're disobeeding, I
- 42:25Speaker 2: still care about you. Even when you didn't follow my word.
- 42:28Speaker 5: God still cares.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Do you understand? God still cares.
- 42:38Speaker 5: I don't know what you did, and I don't know
- 42:41Speaker 5: who stopped.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Caring because of what you did, But just because they
- 42:45Speaker 2: stopped caring doesn't mean God stip caring. God still cares.
- 42:50Speaker 2: He still cares.
- 42:51Speaker 5: He still cares so much that when Jesus was on the.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Cross, beaten and abuse strikes all on his back. He
- 43:01Speaker 2: should have been focused on finishing the work.
- 43:04Speaker 5: There was a thief that said Jesus.
- 43:08Speaker 2: You would think that he'd have been worried about his
- 43:10Speaker 2: own conditions, But to see, he never stops caring, even
- 43:14Speaker 2: when it's inconvenient to care.
- 43:16Speaker 5: Here he is on.
- 43:17Speaker 2: The cross, and all of a sudden, a thief who
- 43:19Speaker 2: belonged on the cross. He's up there with no responsibility
- 43:24Speaker 2: to building a cross at all, except to die for
- 43:26Speaker 2: our sins. And then a thief who had every right
- 43:29Speaker 2: to build a cross says, remember me, And all of
- 43:33Speaker 2: a sudden, pain didn't matter anymore, and the stripe didn't
- 43:37Speaker 2: matter anymore, and the slashes in the crown of forms
- 43:40Speaker 2: no longer matter because there was a moment for him
- 43:43Speaker 2: to care about something. I still care. I'm steal Jesus
- 43:52Speaker 2: on the cross. I may be bleeding out, but my
- 43:57Speaker 2: compassion is still here.
- 43:59Speaker 5: He stealed Jesus on the cross. He looks down at
- 44:01Speaker 5: John and Mary.
- 44:02Speaker 2: And says, Mormon, this is your son's son, this is
- 44:05Speaker 2: your mother. Because I'm I still got business to do
- 44:07Speaker 2: even when I'm on the cross. His compassion never fails,
- 44:12Speaker 2: And I wish I would have known this about God
- 44:14Speaker 2: when I was failing, because I thought that when I
- 44:24Speaker 2: messed up.
- 44:26Speaker 5: That I lost access.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And I thought because I had this addiction that made
- 44:33Speaker 2: this mistake, that He's stout caring. But God still cares.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Who oh God, God still cares victim or villain. God
- 44:50Speaker 2: still cares. And if we are to really embrace this,
- 44:55Speaker 2: we must recognize that God's care shows up different formats.
- 45:04Speaker 2: And one of the ways that we experience God's care
- 45:08Speaker 2: is in correction. I just want to say this because
- 45:17Speaker 2: the enemy will pervert your perspective and make you believe
- 45:22Speaker 2: that correction is rejection. Sometimes God's care comes up and
- 45:34Speaker 2: what He doesn't allow you to do any longer. I
- 45:39Speaker 2: know this isn't you know? I'm thinking about it in
- 45:46Speaker 2: Genesis for sixty seven. I know in Genesis that Hebrews,
- 45:49Speaker 2: who women do we go to? Who's the Genesis? Okay,
- 45:51Speaker 2: we go genessis Cain. You know, he brings this offering
- 45:58Speaker 2: to the Lord, and the Lord doesn't respect his offering.
- 46:04Speaker 2: And when it says that the Lord doesn't respect his offering,
- 46:09Speaker 2: Cain cops, he cops. Mattitude be eaten with God is crazy?
- 46:16Speaker 5: Been there?
- 46:16Speaker 2: So you know what I mean so. In Genesis fourth,
- 46:20Speaker 2: verses six through seven, Jesus responds to Cain's countenance falling
- 46:27Speaker 2: because he can tell that he did not receive correction properly,
- 46:32Speaker 2: and he teaches him and by proxy us, a valuable
- 46:36Speaker 2: lesson about the human experience in God's response, a part
- 46:41Speaker 2: of the human experiences that we struggle with correction. We
- 46:46Speaker 2: see correction as rejection. And the Lord makes it a
- 46:50Speaker 2: point to say to Cain, why are you angry and
- 46:53Speaker 2: why has your countenance fallen? I need to understand what.
- 46:58Speaker 2: I need you to examine what to say took place
- 47:00Speaker 2: in you when you are corrected. Why is it an
- 47:04Speaker 2: indictment on your character? Why do you see it as
- 47:08Speaker 2: devaluing your identity? I need you to take the time
- 47:12Speaker 2: to interrogate what just happened inside of you that you
- 47:16Speaker 2: didn't receive that well?
- 47:18Speaker 5: He says, here's the thing. If you do well, will
- 47:21Speaker 5: you not be accepted?
- 47:23Speaker 2: That word accepted in the Hebrew doesn't mean accepted. It
- 47:26Speaker 2: means elevated. That means that the Lord corrected Kine's offering
- 47:33Speaker 2: because his ultimate goal was to elevate him, and he
- 47:36Speaker 2: cares too much to let you settle for an offering
- 47:40Speaker 2: that will not bring you to elevation, and so he
- 47:44Speaker 2: corrected what he brought because the ultimate goal.
- 47:47Speaker 5: Was to get him to a place of elevation.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Oh that's really good.
- 47:54Speaker 5: You're just saying that's really good.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I see you up there with a jean jacket.
- 47:57Speaker 5: I feel like you understand what I'm saying.
- 47:59Speaker 2: What I'm saying is this, we have a responsibility to
- 48:03Speaker 2: make sure that we understand that correction is an opportunity
- 48:06Speaker 2: for elevation. That if God.
- 48:08Speaker 5: Didn't care about you, he.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Would have never corrected that relationship. Oh maybe it's because
- 48:13Speaker 2: I'm calling it correction. Let me call it what it
- 48:15Speaker 2: really is. That moment when your plan falls apart, that
- 48:19Speaker 2: moment when it is revealed that what you had in
- 48:21Speaker 2: mind is not what God had in mind. Instead of
- 48:23Speaker 2: being angry at at God, you ought to take a
- 48:25Speaker 2: minute and thank God because he wouldn't allow you to
- 48:28Speaker 2: go down a path that wouldn't lead to elevation. You
- 48:31Speaker 2: thought that would lead to elevation, But I.
- 48:33Speaker 5: Had to course correct where you were headed.
- 48:40Speaker 2: That's a course correction. It's not just correction. That's a
- 48:45Speaker 2: course correction. I'm trying to get you to a place
- 48:47Speaker 2: of elevation. I'm trying to get you to a place
- 48:49Speaker 2: of righteousness. That's why you couldn't have that friendship. That's
- 48:52Speaker 2: why you couldn't continue in that business.
- 48:54Speaker 5: That's why you needed to shift that city.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I know it feels like that, But God, I gave
- 48:58Speaker 2: my best. How come my best it wasn't good enough.
- 49:00Speaker 2: Your best wasn't positioned properly for the level of elevation
- 49:04Speaker 2: assigned to your destiny. So I corrected it before it
- 49:08Speaker 2: sets you back. What you thought was a come up
- 49:16Speaker 2: was actually a setback, And if God would not have
- 49:20Speaker 2: rejected it, you would have still been pursuing something that
- 49:23Speaker 2: would have brought you down and sell us elevated you.
- 49:26Speaker 2: You see, that's the kind of word for somebody who
- 49:28Speaker 2: almost settled in a relationship that you thought was a
- 49:32Speaker 2: come up, only to find out that it would have
- 49:34Speaker 2: been a setback because they would have never.
- 49:36Speaker 5: Had enough capacity to take care of what.
- 49:38Speaker 2: God put on the inside of you. I thought you
- 49:41Speaker 2: were a come up, but I thank God that he
- 49:43Speaker 2: allowed it to fall apart, because what I know now
- 49:46Speaker 2: is that it was actually a setback. I wanted the job,
- 49:51Speaker 2: but the job wasn't a come up. It was more money,
- 49:54Speaker 2: it was a bigger office, but it was actually gonna
- 49:56Speaker 2: be a setback because I was gonna lose my mind
- 49:59Speaker 2: trying to keep up with the job. You called it
- 50:01Speaker 2: a come up. God called it a step back. So
- 50:03Speaker 2: he corrected it. So the Lord tells Kane, this is
- 50:13Speaker 2: where the enemy gets into the cracks. If you do
- 50:20Speaker 2: not do well, will you not be accepted. Then he says,
- 50:24Speaker 2: Sin lies at the door and it is waiting to
- 50:29Speaker 2: rule over you. Put it on the screen for me
- 50:33Speaker 2: verse seven, because I want you to understand the pattern
- 50:37Speaker 2: when I do not receive correction properly and I perceive
- 50:42Speaker 2: it as rejection. Sin lies at the door. Sin is
- 50:48Speaker 2: looking for an opening. And one of the openings that
- 50:52Speaker 2: Sin uses is my misinterpretation of correction. My misinterpretation of
- 51:01Speaker 2: correction will make me feel like everybody's out to get me.
- 51:06Speaker 2: It'll make me believe that no one really understands what
- 51:08Speaker 2: I carry. It'll make me believe that I'll never be
- 51:11Speaker 2: good enough. And the misinterpretation of correction is where Sin
- 51:15Speaker 2: can find a way in. So he tells Caine, be
- 51:18Speaker 2: careful in moments of correction when your perspective is being shifted,
- 51:26Speaker 2: When your steps are being aligned. You have to know
- 51:30Speaker 2: that sin lies at the door in those moments, and
- 51:34Speaker 2: how you perceive what's happening determines whether or not it
- 51:39Speaker 2: gets to come in the door. So we have to
- 51:42Speaker 2: find a way to not misinterpret it. If you're writing
- 51:47Speaker 2: those I don't want you to write this down misinterpreting
- 51:50Speaker 2: correction as rejection paralyzes growth. Misinterpreting correction as rejection paralyzes growth.
- 52:12Speaker 2: God cares too much to allow you to go down
- 52:17Speaker 2: a path that won't allow you to be elevated. So
- 52:24Speaker 2: when the sawm is rising Psalm twenty three, Yay, though
- 52:27Speaker 2: I walk through the valley of this shadow of death,
- 52:30Speaker 2: I shall fear no evil, she says. Thy rod and
- 52:33Speaker 2: thy saff They comfort me. Our job is to find
- 52:38Speaker 2: a way to be comforted by the rod. The rod
- 52:42Speaker 2: was not just about protecting the sheep from predators. The
- 52:47Speaker 2: rod was also for correcting the sheep. Oh, I find
- 52:54Speaker 2: comfort when I am with the shepherd, because I know
- 52:58Speaker 2: the shepherd won't have me out here wrong. I'm trying
- 53:03Speaker 2: to you know, I went back to trying to be
- 53:04Speaker 2: more eloquent these days. But let me tell you something
- 53:06Speaker 2: I don't fool with nobody who won't tell me when
- 53:09Speaker 2: I'm out here.
- 53:10Speaker 5: Wrong, maybe whether it's a booker.
- 53:15Speaker 2: In my nose or a lie coming out of my mouth?
- 53:18Speaker 2: How can you be my friend? How can you be
- 53:21Speaker 2: my partner and allow me to be showing up loud
- 53:24Speaker 2: and wrong. I need to be close to somebody who
- 53:27Speaker 2: is not just a yes man. I find comfort because
- 53:31Speaker 2: I recognize that I'm walking with the King of kings,
- 53:34Speaker 2: and he will not allow me to be out here wrong.
- 53:37Speaker 2: He will correct me. He will talent me. Those he loves.
- 53:41Speaker 2: He chases, that is the word. He doesn't just past
- 53:44Speaker 2: for chasing sakes. He chases because I have a plan
- 53:48Speaker 2: for you. I have a vision for who you can be,
- 53:50Speaker 2: and I may have to correct you in order to
- 53:53Speaker 2: get you to that place.
- 53:57Speaker 5: When he tells Peter get behind me, Satan.
- 54:01Speaker 2: It sounds a little harsh, but he's trying to correct
- 54:04Speaker 2: the way he thinks.
- 54:05Speaker 5: He needs him to understand.
- 54:07Speaker 2: You can't think the way you think and be who
- 54:09Speaker 2: I called you to be. You thinking like my father
- 54:12Speaker 2: will say this, you're thinking like a fool. You got
- 54:14Speaker 2: to think like you know who you are. You cannot
- 54:16Speaker 2: think this way and be who I've called you to
- 54:19Speaker 2: be trying to correct the way you think. Yeah, you
- 54:24Speaker 2: got in trouble at the job.
- 54:25Speaker 5: Yeah, the relationship is falling apart because.
- 54:28Speaker 2: I'm trying to correct the way you communicate.
- 54:30Speaker 5: I'm trying to correct the way you think.
- 54:32Speaker 2: You See, we come to church sometimes and we want
- 54:34Speaker 2: to praise and shout about what other people did. But
- 54:37Speaker 2: I want to challenge you for a minute to take
- 54:40Speaker 2: a moment of the ways that God is trying to
- 54:41Speaker 2: correct you. Don't just assume they're hating on you. They
- 54:44Speaker 2: may be trying to help you. You calling them a hater.
- 54:47Speaker 2: God send them to help you understand that you can't
- 54:50Speaker 2: keep showing up the way you're showing up. I don't
- 54:55Speaker 2: just call everybody hater. I don't call you a hater
- 54:59Speaker 2: until the Lord tell me you a hater. But I
- 55:01Speaker 2: take what you're saying to my prayer post, because if
- 55:04Speaker 2: there is any truth about what they're saying about me,
- 55:07Speaker 2: God reveal my heart to me. Search my heart, O Lord,
- 55:10Speaker 2: if there's anything about what they're saying is true, I
- 55:13Speaker 2: don't want to be out here wrong and I can't
- 55:15Speaker 2: trust my own eyesight. So if you sit them to
- 55:18Speaker 2: awaken me, to something that needs to ship.
- 55:21Speaker 5: Let me see it, Let me see it. I want
- 55:26Speaker 5: to be right.
- 55:27Speaker 2: I want to be righteous. I don't want to be
- 55:29Speaker 2: prideful of Ezel. I just want to be righteous.
- 55:32Speaker 5: I want to be holy.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I want to be powerful. I want to be strong
- 55:35Speaker 2: in God, and I can't let my weakness dilute his power.
- 55:39Speaker 2: So if there's something in me that's toxic, something in
- 55:42Speaker 2: me that's poison something in me that's damaging that relationship,
- 55:46Speaker 2: something in me that's poisoning my purpose. God, show it
- 55:49Speaker 2: to me. Yeah, show it to me. I want to
- 55:56Speaker 2: see it. I'm so good at pointing out what's wrong
- 55:58Speaker 2: with everybody else.
- 56:00Speaker 5: God, take a minute and show me what's wrong with me.
- 56:02Speaker 2: I'm not Jesus Junior out here. I know I'm broken.
- 56:06Speaker 5: I know I'm insecure. I know I got pride, I
- 56:09Speaker 5: know I got ego.
- 56:10Speaker 2: How is it showing up in my life? So David,
- 56:29Speaker 2: David learns this because the Lord sends the prophet Nathan
- 56:34Speaker 2: to him and corrects him. And so blinded was David
- 56:42Speaker 2: by his ways that he didn't even realize how wrong
- 56:45Speaker 2: he was. Oh, and that that happens to us, that
- 56:55Speaker 2: we get so caught up in our rhythm, so blinded
- 56:59Speaker 2: by our or pursuits that we don't realize how far
- 57:04Speaker 2: off base we have become. Man, here, David is in
- 57:10Speaker 2: the palace with no idea that he no longer looks
- 57:15Speaker 2: like the shepherd boy. That's how fast it can happen.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Don't ever think that she's so holy and so righteous
- 57:23Speaker 2: that it can't happen to you. The moment he said, oh,
- 57:32Speaker 2: I would never don't know. Don't say that. Don't say that.
- 57:40Speaker 2: You ought to ask Lord, could I ever? Is that
- 57:48Speaker 2: in me? Because God cares? He still cares.
- 57:56Speaker 5: What David learns is that, Yeah, be with.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Me in the palace, but also if I make my
- 58:03Speaker 2: bed in hell, he'll be with me. He's compassionate enough
- 58:10Speaker 2: to be with me when I'm wrong and correct me
- 58:13Speaker 2: until I can get back on the right foot. Oh see,
- 58:17Speaker 2: if everyone dressed up, they would tell you about the
- 58:21Speaker 2: moments where God waited on them to get their life together.
- 58:28Speaker 2: You in this room, and maybe it feels like I'm
- 58:31Speaker 2: the only one in this room. We ain't never had
- 58:32Speaker 2: their life together. Baby, let me tell you something. If
- 58:35Speaker 2: we had testimony surface in this room, I will tell
- 58:39Speaker 2: you the story about the moments where he waited on me.
- 58:43Speaker 5: He cared enough.
- 58:44Speaker 2: He cared enough to wait on me.
- 58:47Speaker 5: He waited on me to come to my right mind.
- 58:49Speaker 2: He waited on me to stop trying every other thing
- 58:52Speaker 2: and to finally try Jesus. He or he cared enough
- 58:55Speaker 2: to be patient with me when other people gave up
- 58:58Speaker 2: on me. He cared about me. So to get to
- 59:07Speaker 2: my text, To get to my text, I need you
- 59:16Speaker 2: to understand the power of what happens in this moment
- 59:22Speaker 2: where the multitudes come to Jesus. You need to know
- 59:28Speaker 2: that this is not just any multitude. And I've been
- 59:34Speaker 2: contrasting these texts because it's in Mark, which is a
- 59:38Speaker 2: synoptic gospel, which means that it is the same story
- 59:41Speaker 2: told from different vantage points. And Matthew, Mark, and Luke.
- 59:46Speaker 2: So I was looking at Mark, and I was looking
- 59:48Speaker 2: at Matthew, and Matthew tells us something interesting about the
- 59:51Speaker 2: multitude that Mark doesn't tell us. Matthew tells us that
- 59:56Speaker 2: this multitude were a multitude of people with disabilities. They
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: were disadvantaged. Matthew specifically says that they were maimed, mute, blind, lame,
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: and much more. Why is this important? Because this is
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: a multitude that is used to not being cared for. Okay,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: these are people who are used to being overlooked. These
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: are people the marginalized multitude. They live on the outskirts
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: of society and culture, and so when they hear about Jesus,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: they are crazy enough to believe that Jesus will have
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: a different response to them than other people have had.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: They are crazy enough to believe that Jesus.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: Would care about them in the way that other people didn't. Oh, God,
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: help me say it real good.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: You see, when you're used to people not caring.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: About you, you assume that other people won't care about you,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: so you don't take up space because you.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: Predict that they won't care.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: But you could learn a thing or two from marginalized people.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: They had nothing left to lose, and when you have
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: nothing left to lose, you will try anything to get up.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Oh I wish I could say that real good. They
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: heard about a man named Jesus who cared about things
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: that other people didn't care about, and so they went
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: out of their way to see Jesus because they heard
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: that he would care about them.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: They didn't wait for the men were to fall in
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: their laps.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: They were crazy enough to pursue the miracle themselves. Can
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: I break it down a little bit further. My text
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: tells me that Jesus skirted around the Sea of Galilee
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: and then went up on a mountain before the multitudes
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: came to him. Why is that important?
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: Because if you remember that this is a.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Marginalized, disabled group of people, you will understand that for
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: them to go.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: And get to Jesus was a feat when he was.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: On a mountain. They're blind, their lame, their death, their maid.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: But they heard about Jesus, and it doesn't matter that
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: he's on a mountain, because he is worth climbing the mountain.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Even if I'm at a disadvantage. You'd see some of
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: us don't fight to get to Jesus anymore. We wait
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: for Jesus to pass by us. And maybe you are
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: like blind Bartimaeus, waiting on Jesus to pass you by.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: But there may be some people in this room who
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: need to hear this, just in case it doesn't seem
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: like Jesus is in your neighborhood. You have the ability
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: to go to where.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: Jesus is, and it doesn't matter how Maine you are,
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: It doesn't matter how blind you are, It doesn't.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Matter how broken you are.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Jesus can still have a miracle for you, but you
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: have to be willing to pursue the miracle. I wish
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I could say that real good because I need you
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: to understand that Jesus cares about people that other people
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: walk over, that other people look beyond. If you have
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: ever been walked over in your life, if you have
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: ever been looked over in your life, if you have
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: ever been forgotten, this is the gospel. This is the
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: good news that what other people thought was forgettable, Jesus
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: thinks this is unforgettable.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: What other people could look over.
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: God cannot look away from. And they go to see Jesus.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: And it's not convenient, and it's not easy, and it
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: requires them to stretch themselves and it requires them to listen.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: We ain't no more than another. Are we about to
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: bring this home? So we got a blind person and
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: a deaf person. I can't see, he can't hear, but
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: together we can get to Jesus. He can't walk and
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: I can't see, but together we can get to Jesus.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: That's why you gotta be careful who you're sitting next to.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Somebody came in blind, somebody came in deak, But together
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: we can get to Jesus.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: Why is this important? Because we living in a world where.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Not everybody has it all. Everybody's got some kind of disadvantace.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: But if I take what you got and you take
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: what I God, maybe we can.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Set this city on fire.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: If I take what you got and.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: You take what I got, maybe we could have stablished
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: the Kingdom of Heaven. It only works if it's enough
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: of us desperate for a miracle. So if you're not
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: desperate for a miracle, we're gonna ask you to say
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: at the bottom of the mountain, but if you don't
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: mind using what you God to pursue me Jesus.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: You gotta be willing to be inconvenience.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: I know we got door Dash, I know we got
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Amazon Prime, but I'm telling you there will be some
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: moments we're in order for you to experience Jesus, you
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: have to be willing to be inconvenience. Yeah, it may
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: not always come easy. You may not always feel like
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: lifting your hands in worship. You think everybody in this
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: room felt like coming to park today. No, but sometimes
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: you got to put yourself in a position where you
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: show God. I'm willing to be inconvenience because I heard
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: you might care about me.
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: I heard about a man named Jesus who could heal.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: What's happening in my heart. I heard about a man
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: named Jesus who could order my steps. And I'm being inconvenience,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: stepping out of my comfort zones, setting God for stepping
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: out of my norm. They teach us this advantage multitude,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: this marginalized multitude. They teach us what it takes to
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: pursue Jesus. You have to be willing to be inconvenienced.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: You can't afford to get bored praying. I know you
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: started off praying. Now you in your to do list.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: What happened? You got to bring your mind back. Oh,
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: you are going to have to have a level of
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: spiritual authority, clarity, and discernment that requires you to be
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: inconvenience to get it from. What I learned from the
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: multitude is that being inconvenienced sometimes the only way we
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: may receive our miracle. Oh. I wish I could say
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: this real good, But not enough of us are willing
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: to be inconvenienced anymore to step out of our comfort zones.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: And to risk vulnerability, to risk failure. For this group
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: of disabled individuals to take on the task of climbing
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: a mountain to get to Jesus is them opening themselves
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: up to the possibility of failure. And you or people
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: you know, may allow the fear of failure to keep
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: you from climbing a mountain. You don't think you can
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: learn anything from somebody disadvantage, but there is a power
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: in disadvantaged communities that teach you how to come together
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: and make something out of nothing, and to build with
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: leftovers and to take your scraps and still allow miracles
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: to take place. There is something about it disadvantaged community
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: that makes us rely on one another and the way
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: we would never rely on one another if we had
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: what it took. You may need somebody to help you
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: up this mountain. And as much as I learn about them,
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: I also learn about Jesus in this text, because while
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: they were willing to be disadvantaged to get to Jesus,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Jesus teaches us something powerful. They were in pursuit of
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: a miracle, and Jesus fulfills that miracle. But Jesus is
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: not just interested in giving them the miracle. When he
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: says that they need to eat because they've been here
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: for three days and I'm getting ready to send them away,
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: and I don't want to send them away hungry. They
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: got the miracle, but if I send them away hungry,
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: they won't be able to sustain the miracle. It's not
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: just important to ask God for a miracle. God cares
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: so much that he doesn't just think about meeting the need.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: He thinks about what is what's going to be required
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: for you to sustain the thing that He gave you.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: So when I say yes to God, I know that
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: that yes has provision in it, because He doesn't just
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: allow me to step into miracles without having the ability
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: to sustain the miracle as a part of it. What
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: it took for them to get the miracle required determination.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: What it takes for them to sustain the miracle is different.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: It requires nourishment. If I could give you just a
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: few words to marinate on for the next time God
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: does a miracle in your life, or perhaps you're taking
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: care of a miracle right now, I'm going to tell
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: you this, don't let your miracle starve. Don't let your
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: miracle star What God does in you and for you
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: make sure you nourish it, make sure you take care
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: of it, because He's not just giving you the miracle.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: He's trying to help you sustain the miracle. He tells
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: the disciples, I don't want that power. I want to
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: let that power be wasted. And they got a long
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: journey ahead of them. Some of them came from Afar.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: What God does in your life has distance connected to it.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: Because it has distance connected to it, you gotta know
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: that He's also gonna allow you to have a way
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: to sustain it. What perplexed me about this text. I
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: understood what Jesus did, and I understood what the multitudes did,
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: but I was confused about the disciples because this is
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: not the first time that Jesus has said the multitudes.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, that mark just a few
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: chapters ago. In six he sees the five thousand with
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: a little boy's lunch.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: So you one would.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Think that as the Disciples are standing there with the
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: multitude and they're hungry and Jesus mentions their hunger, that
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: they would just be like, why don't you do the
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: thing that you do that one time in Galilee? But
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: they forget, They forget or did they think that he
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: wouldn't do it again because the variables are different. You see,
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: when he did it earlier in Mark sixth, it was
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: a mostly Jewish crowd, and he was initially called to
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: the children of Israel, where he is at this point
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: in the text, though, is mostly a gentile crowd. A
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: gentile crowd is anything that's not Jewish. And so the
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: disciples may be wondering, with the variables changing and the
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: setting's changing, the.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: Same God that did it then may not do.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: It now because it's a different situation now all of
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: a sudden. I don't think the disciples forgot. I think
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the disciples wondered if the same God who did it then,
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: even though the variables are different, would do it now.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: Oh it's almost like us wondering. I know you cared
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: about my health, and I know you healed my body,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: but will you touch my finances? Sy The variables are different,
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: but I want to know do you still care? The
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: disciples don't know whether or not he'll still care about
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: this the same way he cared about that. They don't
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: know that Jesus still cares no matter what the situation is.
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: So Jesus is trying to teach them.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: A valuable lesson about his compassion is that my compassion
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: is not just reserved for those who understand it or
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: those who are entitled to it. My compassion is what
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: this is a prophetic utterance of what will become of salvation.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: That it is not just for.
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: The children of Israel.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: It's not just for the Jews, but it is also
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: for the Gentiles. So in this text we see Jesus
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: preparing the disciples for a ministry that is not just
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: for the Jews. But the disciples have to first accept
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: the fact that God still cares even when the variables
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: are different. Oh God, I wish I said that real
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: good because there have been some moments in my life
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: where I know what God did in the past, but
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: I wasn't sure if he would do it in this setting.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: I know you provide it for me then, but will
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: you provide for me now? I know you took care
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: of me then, But will you take care of me now? God?
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Do you still care? And the thing about this moment
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: is that the disciples the Lord is making a demand
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: on the disciples. He's asking them to still care even
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: when the demand exceeds their capacity. God still cares. We
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: see that God still cares, But will they still care?
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: Will you still care when what the Lord makes a
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: demand of exceeds your capacity. He's asking them to show
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: up when they don't have what it takes. He's asking
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: them to use their resources that are clearly not enough
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: and to trust him with it. He's asking them for
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: courage to do something that it doesn't feel like they
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: have enough sufficiency to do.
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: He's asking them for bread.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: In the wilderness. When I look at the landscape of
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: this world and what's happening in the news and what's
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: happening in our homes feel like what happened in this text,
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: it's happening to many of us. Where the Lord is
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: asking us for bread in the wilderness, making a demand
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: on capacity that we don't know that we have, making
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: a demand on resources and courage and creativity and forgiveness
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: and love that we don't know whether or not we have.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: He's asking us for bread in the wilderness. What the
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: disciples ask is not all that crazy, because they understand
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: that bread just can't come out of nowhere, and what
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: I have is not enough for the needs. See this
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: only resonates with a certain person who knows what it's
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: like to be in this season where things are.
- 1:16:52Speaker 5: Just going wild.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: And it's just one thing after another, and the Lord
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: is positioned you in the middle of a wild place
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: where it's one thing after another and that thing is
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: making demand on you, but you don't know if you
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: have what it takes.
- 1:17:13Speaker 5: And Jesus says something so simple.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: Jesus is not looking for you to supply the multitude.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: He's looking for you to just make an off frink.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: Oh God, it list. Okay, I'm saying this. We're closing.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: You have to understand that the disciples are arguing about
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: bread with the Bread of life. Were closing. They're wondering
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: if they have enough bread in the wilderness, but they
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: are talking to the bread that will never run out.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: You got to remember who you in the wilderness with.
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: I'm about to say this and we're gonna close, but I.
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: Need you to understand that we deserve a God who's been.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Making bread and the wilderness that the Hebrew children came
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: out of Egypt said he had bread coming out of heaven.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: That we serve a God that's been making bread come
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: out of rare, rare places for generations after generations, so
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: when the Bread of Life ask you do you have
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: enough bread for this wilderness, he recognizes that you may
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: not have enough. But he is a god of multiplication,
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: and if you take what you have, and if you
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: take what he has, then it'll multiply and be enough
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: to meet the demand of the moment you're standing in.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I want to talk to somebody. I heard God saying
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: that you have enough to meet the moment. Oh, this
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: is it. You have enough to meet the moment. This
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: moment is making a demand on you. And if you
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: are not careful, you will believe that it's making a
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: demand on what you.
- 1:18:57Speaker 5: Don't have, and so you won't give anything at all.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Because you've already counted yourself out. But God says, I
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: can multiply whatever you're willing to offer. If you will
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: offer your bread, I will take what you offer and
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: turn it into an offer.
- 1:19:27Speaker 5: God still cares the disciples.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: I'm closing. You can play. I'm closing.
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: Let's stay.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: The disciples don't have the seven loaves of bread, and
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: there's four thousand in the multitude. Jesus says, I still care.
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: It's just seven loads, but I still care.
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: It's this one. Dream says one idea. I believe that
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: God gave me this message because too many of us
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: are being seduced into apathy, overwhelmed by what's taking place
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: in the world, our compassion collapsing because the problems seem
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: bigger than us. I came to talk to you not
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: as just a people, but as the called out once
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: members of the Kingdom of Heaven. I came to give
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: you a warning about the times that we live in
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: that the enemy the greatest weapon that he may use
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: in this time is apathy.
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: Where you no longer have the ability to be moved.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: With compassion when you hear what's happening in the world.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: I mean this from the bottom of my heart. If
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: he can get you to stop caring, there will be
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: no action, no counteraction to what's taking place. Some of
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: us are quite literally called to be a part of
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: the solutions that we see in the headlines. Some of
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: us are called to respond to what's happening in our
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: homes that have been happening for so long that we've
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: just given up on them altogether. We have accepted the
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: enemy's plan because we feel powerless to turn it over.
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: But I hear God saying you may not have everything
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: you need. But I'm not asking you to be a miracle.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: He didn't ask the disciples to be a miracle. He
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: asked the disciples to just distribute the miracle, to partner
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: with him to bring what they have, and in bringing
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: what they have, that he would do the rest.
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: It is no life that we are all at.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: A disadvantage in some way. In this room, some of
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: our disadvantages are different than the others. Where you have stress,
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: I have a weakness, And where I have strength, you
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: have a weakness. But I hear God's saying that we cannot.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: We cannot as sable as the Kingdom. We can't.
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: I want to say this is the right way.
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: God help me that our affectiveness will come down to
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: us not making it about ourselves.
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: This can't be about what you don't have.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: This can only come down to what you do have.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: And God is not expecting you to have everything, He says,
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: expecting you to give him something to work with. You
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: may not have all the answers. How am I going
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: to get out of this addiction? God? How am I
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: gonna save my community? You may not have all the answers,
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: But God says, if you're willing to work what you
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: do have, if you would give it to me, I
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: can bless it and multiply it. And guess what. In
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: this room, as a unit, we have an opportunity to
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: help one another. Yeah, and a world that is intent
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: on isolating us and dividing us together, we can climb
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: a mountain. I am tired a feeling like wickednesses is winning?
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: Anybody else tired of that? What are we going to
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: do about it? Because God still cares about his people.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: God still cares about what's taking place in this earth.
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: And we may be the only.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: Way that somebody sees that God still cares. We may
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: be the only way they see it. So I'm going
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: to ask you to take your position. Jesus positions the
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: disciples between Him and the multitudes. There are some, they
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: are multitudes, and they are who we get to serve.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: But when we assume the.
- 1:25:07Speaker 5: Role as disciples, we stand in between.
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: God and the multitudes, and we get to show them
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: how much He cares about them. And it may not
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: be in big rooms like this, But what about the
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: person besides you, the people in the grocery stores. How
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: can we hear about six down in a helicopter plane
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: crash and just swipe without considering the grief that that
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: meant to somebody's home. How can we hear about tu
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: say God another month without pay.
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: Within six months.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: And not take a moment to let that grieve our heart?
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: Because if you don't have compassion for what's taking place
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: in this world, you can't affect change the way that
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: Jesus did. We got to care about this, We got
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: to care about this, and we got to care about
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: one another. Well, you're in this room and maybe you
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: are disabled. Maybe it's not a physical ailment, but something
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: in your heart, something in your life, is trying to
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: convince you that maybe God doesn't care about you.
- 1:26:44Speaker 8: In this room, I'm gonna ask you to be as
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: courageous as those who climb the mountain and just wave
- 1:26:55Speaker 8: at me.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: If that's you you're wondering if God cares, just wave up,
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: wave at me. Now, do me a favorite. Don't just
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: look at me, look around you to see whose hands up.
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: What can you do in this moment to show them
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: that God still care?
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: Yeah, if that's you, wave your hand. You don't know
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: if God still cares, You don't know. You don't know
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: wherever there's somebody near touch, hug heal, because this is
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: how suicide back to somebody into a corner. But a
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: disciple stands in the way of the needs of the
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: people and reminds him that God still cares.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: I don't care what you did or who you did
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: it with.
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: God still cares.
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: God still cares.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: God still cares.
- 1:28:14Speaker 5: God still cares.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: He still cares. He cares about what you're up against.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: He cares about what's happening in your marriage. See, this
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: isn't an ultra car where I'm going to ask you
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: to come down to the altar. This is an ultra
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: car where I'm going to ask you to allow yourself
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: to have someone come.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: Around you that your life can be the altar.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: You don't know what it means to go through life
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: and feel all alone, to go through life and never
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: have anybody look at you and take care of you.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: And yet we have a moment.
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: We got five minutes left in this service.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: Five minutes can make the difference on whether or not
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: somebody decides that in their life. Five minutes could be
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: the difference between depression and joy. Five minutes could be
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: the difference between anxiety. Five difference could be the difference
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: between joy coming back, grief and mourning. God still cares.
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: He still cares.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: I know your mother is gone, but He's still cares.
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: I know you don't know what's gonna happen with the
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: food on your table, but I'm telling you, God still cares.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: I've been hungry before, and I found out that God
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: still cares. I've been sick before, and I found out
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: that God still cares. I've been lonely before and found
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: out that God still cares. I've been lost before and
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: find out that God still cares. I come up against
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: suicide right now in the name of Jesus. I come
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: up against loneliness right now, in the name of Jesus.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: I come up against isolation right now, in the name
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: of Jesus. God still cares. God still cares. God still cares.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: And He'll interrupt the message to make sure you know
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: that God still cares. You better wrap your arms around
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: somebody who the devil's been trying to get a hold of.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: Loose here. In the name of Jesus. I bleed the
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: blood of Jesus over every fragmented mind. I plead the
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: blood of Jesus over every broken heart. I bleeve, the
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: blood of Jesus over Christ. I plead the blood of
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: Jesus over depression.
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: I decree and declare right now that you will come
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: to know the.
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: Link and the wit and the depths of God's love.
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: God love is coming towards you. Is coming from the
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: north to south, the east and the west. God Love
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: is coming for you, is coming from.
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: Places you didn't even know existence.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: I hear God'm saying that I love you too much
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: to leave you. God bless these children, God bless her mind.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: I see the blood of seson the love of Jesus,
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: that God on the cross and brought deliverance. The bless
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: the blood, the blood, the blood cans the blood, the blood,
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: the blood, the blood cans the blood, the bless the blood,
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: the blood, the bless the blood, the blood, the bless
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: the blood. I'm not ashamed of your test. God, I
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: still call you my own sept God. I don't care
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: how confused you are.
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: I don't care how broken you are.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: The blood, the blood, the blood, the blood, the blood
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: over your babies, the blood over your children, the blood
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: over your healthholder the blood over your health, the blood
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: over your mind, the blood over these children. I don't
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: care what you've been through.
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: The blood, the bless the blood blood you still care.
- 1:31:14Speaker 6: And filer Lord, let's go.
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: Where you say, every person generation your person in the
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: name of Jesus, loose here in the name of Jesus.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: Loose that woman and let her go in the name
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: of Jesus, bless God, stealer God.
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: Here's God's still pres.
- 1:32:21Speaker 2: And the Bible says.
- 1:32:24Speaker 5: That perfect love will cast south here.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: And if you don't feel love and compassion, then I
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: fear will run rampant. But I plead the blood of
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Jesus over your mind. God still cares. He cares too much.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: Like you walk out in this place the same way
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: you came in. He dash too much. They have run
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: luke and your mind and in your house the blid,
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: the blood, the bloods of blood, the blid, the blood
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: of blood.
- 1:33:20Speaker 5: It's still flowing, and that still recent.
- 1:33:25Speaker 6: And the blood still cares.
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: I gotta tell, depressing something, I gotta tell to a side,
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: something I gotta tell and just do something. You thought
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: you had me, but the blood still cast. You thought
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: you had my mind, but the blood still have.
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: So I don't know who you are, but I hear
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: God's saying, wake up, Wake up wherever you are, Wake up,
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: wake up wherever you are. You can't afford to be entertained,
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: and you cannot afford to do nothing.
- 1:34:42Speaker 5: Wake up to the times we're living in. Not to
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: be afraid, but.
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: To exercise the authority that God has given you. The
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: enemy will make you think you don't have authority, so
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: you won't use your authority.
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: But He has given us authority to trample.
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: Over surface is scorpious and over all of the power
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: of the enemy. Your opponent is not in the headlines.
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: Oh I said this. Your opponent is not in an
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: over office. Your opponent is not overseas. This thing started
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: with the enemy, and.
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: It is going to end when.
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: Divinity sets in. And yes, it's going to require more
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: than you have, but God will multiply what you give.
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: Even in this.
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: Room, on a small scale, you can see what one hug,
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: what one touch did for one person, and you would
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: withhold what you possessed because you're afraid of what other
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: people will think about it. The enemy has seduced you
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: into making this about you, and it's not. This is
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: bigger than us, and greater is he that is in
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: us than he that is in the world. So the
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: next time you see a headline, next time you see
- 1:36:59Speaker 2: a person in a car, a person in the store,
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: don't just walk by. One touch, one look could make
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: the difference for them, believing that nobody cares, nobody sees me.
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: You got power in your hands. Use it. Don't wait
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: for it to be platformed, don't wait for it to
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: be perfected.
- 1:37:41Speaker 5: Use it in a raw state. Use whatever God gave you, because.
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: It's gonna take everything we got, and the more we give,
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: the more He multiplies.
- 1:37:57Speaker 5: Here in this room, and you don't know Jesus, I just.
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: Want you to know one of the greatest revelations I
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: ever had was coming to a place where yes I
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: knew Him as my Lord and Savior, but also came
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: to know him as my big brother, the first born
- 1:38:18Speaker 2: of many, the model and the example he can be,
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: the kind of model that you never saw in your family,
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: the kind of model that you never saw in your neighborhood.
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: I studied Jesus to look at how he showed up
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: in the world, what his character looked like, a marvel,
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: at his courage, his ability to forgive, his confidence, his authority,
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: his power. You have an opportunity to do that when
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: you're in a relationship with him. And I'm going to
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: say this prayer now, I want to invite you to
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: stay it with me. God bless that mom and.
- 1:39:02Speaker 5: Her babies order her sets.
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: I love you, God, bless you and every person in
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: this room. Father, I've said what you asked me to say.
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: I pray that in some way you've been more revealed
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: to these your sons and daughters. I pray that in
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: some way they feel closer to you, and that you
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: feel closer to them, that where they may have thought
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: isolated or alone, that they feel your presence.
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: Flowing towards them.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: God, let this just be the beginning break the seal
- 1:39:58Speaker 2: that they may drink you from a well never runs
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: strive that they've maybe nourished in every dry place. And
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: I ask God that you would make our hearts sensitive
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: to what's happening around us. We rebuke the spirit of defeat. Oh,
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: we rebuke the spirit of defeat, of powerlessness, of torment.
- 1:40:27Speaker 5: We come up against depressions, and we thank you God.
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: For the power that we have access to because we
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: are in Jesus. God, I pray that you would give
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: us an opportunity to utilize that power, the power to
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: make someone feel seen, love, known, cared, for the power
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: to upset systems of wickedness, to make a difference in
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: at least just one person's life. And I thank you
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: God that as we do that collectively, that we can
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: push back darkness. Now repeat after me, Heavenly Father, thank
- 1:41:08Speaker 2: you for your love. I feel it. Thank you for
- 1:41:12Speaker 2: this word, I receive it. Thank you for Jesus. Thank
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: you for making him who had no sin, all of
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: my weakness, all of my limitations, all of my sins
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: you placed in his body and nailed it to the
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: cross and put it to death. And when he was
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: raised free and victorious, I was raised up too, with victory,
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: with power and with authority. God, allow me to use
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: that power to push back darkness, to establish the kingdom,
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: and to establish your presence on earth, and all that
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: I do in Jesus' name. Amen, Amen, can you celebrate
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: with me? Family? Listen, If you're looking for a church home,
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: we would love to be your family. You can scan
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: the QR code, but if you want to get to
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: know us and feel someone, you can come down here
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: to the left. Our pastors would love to leve on
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: you and hug on you. Can you do me a
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: favor before you go, take a minute and just randomly
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: hug and love on somebody.
- 1:42:43Speaker 5: They may be going back from.
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: This place and an abusive home and a toxic environment
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: where they wonder if anybody sees them. But if they
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: can remember what it feels like to have your arms
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: wrapped around on they can remember what it feels like
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: to experience love, maybe it'll remind them that God still cares,
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: even in the midst of what's waiting on them back home.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: May the Lord bless and keep you. May He make
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: a face to shine upon you and be gracious towards you.
- 1:43:16Speaker 2: May he lift up his countenance over you and grant
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: you Shaloam shaloam in Jesus' name. We love you.
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: Family at the Potter's House, we are invested in you,
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: not just what you do, for who you are becoming.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: We believe that.
- 1:43:34Speaker 4: In this house we are better together. We need one
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: another to be holy, to hold each other accountable, and
- 1:43:41Speaker 4: to keep growing.
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: As God positions us to serve every soul. We believe
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: that an act of sowing is an act of faith
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: and agreement right where God is speeding.
- 1:43:52Speaker 4: Up and we're honors that we get to partner with
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: you in reaching lives near and far. Your official invitation
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: to not just be a spectator, but to be a partner,
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: be a member of our family that seeks Kingdom solutions
- 1:44:09Speaker 4: during the challenges of every season.
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: Amen, your giving, your service, and your love to this
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: house isn't just generosity, it's ministry.
- 1:44:20Speaker 4: If this message spoke to you and you believe what
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: God is doing in this house, we invite you to
- 1:44:26Speaker 4: become a member today. We want to do life with
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: you and.
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: Share this message with someone you care about, someone who
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: needs it the most. I believe that it could be
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: the catalyst for the breakthrough that they're seeking. No matter
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: where you are, remember God sees you, He loves you,
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: and so do we
