Able to Serve: Empowering Adults with Disabilities | Fayetteville News
When adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities turn 18, they often lose critical support — leaving them isolated and struggling. But in Garner, Able to Serve is changing that story. This faith-based nonprofit, founded in 2003, empowers nearly 100 adults weekly with life skills, education, leadership, and community service across Wake and Johnston counties. Thanks to a CBS 17 weather challenge, they raised $3,000 in June alone.
