well intentioned way of how our team usually always splits up and they each deal

with the batties and then we get back together again and eventually we are all

fighting on the you know. I think that I can understand why it's done

that way. When everyone is together and everybody's sort of trying or not everybody,

but a lot of our friends are trying to get in on sort of

the same fight. It is a little bit confusing. And also this thing

with the Noah getting added into the mix. I don't know, guys,

if there was something that was said about, like explicitly, why the Noah

is so important. I know that it's like it's so huge that it could

destroy the island. I know that when the King is talking about it,

he is very much go in the like we will all be ruined if something

happens to the ship itself. But I can't recall and help me out here

if I should recall if we are meant to know specifically what the deal is

with it and why it's so like delicate or not even delicate, but why

teeny tiny that I really was like, Okay, maybe it's just not going

to do anything, and maybe that will lead to him taking a handful or

something and overdoing it, you know. But no, it just does the

thing that it does for everybody, which actually is kind of impressive. Okay,

really I hate that feeling of like, am I letting listeners down because I

evidently not so. And the ship itself is like very covered in moss

and everything. There's a sort of sensation when I look at it, that

this has been buried. I don't feel like that really works for under the

And there's a point when and I'm a little bit confused about this as

well, so I'm gonna ask you, Florian, since you're here. We

see the ship, like, you know, the hull of it thrusting up

into I keep wanting to say into the air, but it's not. But

you know what I'm saying, the sky, I guess. And then we

see a couple of other very small bubbles with teeny little like communities inside them.

I don't remember seeing other separate bubbles like this other than I guess the

bubble for the palace is this. Have we seen that there are sep sort

of areas like this before? And of course, you know, in comparison

to Noah this, they are absolutely minuscule. They look like the heads of

pins, you know. And the way that Noah is beginning to move,

it's pressing into the huge bubble that surrounds Fishman Island. And because of the

nature of these sort of coatings, they can take a decent amount of broad

pressure, but when it's a sharp, localized sort of pressure, like a

spear thrust versus getting slapped by a hand, it will break the bubble.

So those like the concern here is all right, it's just scraping up against

us, and maybe it's going to leave us alone. But if it gets

redirected in a different way, this is going to pop and completely destroy the

island and the prince. And this made me feel a little bit better while

I was watching, I will say, but I also was still sort of

like, maybe I'm supposed to know something the Prince doesn't know. But the

Prince is like, Dad, why are you freaking out so much about this

ship? It looks like it's busted and it doesn't have anything to do with

what's going on today, So why are you so flipped out over it?

And he says, Son, until the intended day, that vessel was not

to be moved from its resting place. Now, I'm going to like hazard

a guess here. It's sort of a weird thing because, like, obviously

the ship being called Noah calls to mind the biblical story of Noah, and

I think that is like partially on theme for what my theory is I'm sort

of thinking we're going to find out that this ship was meant to be what

carries the fishmen up into the surface world, and that it's going to be

like part of the overall dream of hopefully someday we can actually go and live

among the fishmen or among the humans. But I'm not sure if, like,

because the fact that it was that he calls it a quote resting place,

that's the only thing that sort of has me second guessing myself. Resting

place usually implies that something has been put there after it has been used up,

you know, So I was like, wait, is this supposed to

have been maybe the ship that brought us down to Fishman Island and we buried

it in the event that maybe eventually we would need it again. So I

don't I don't really like feel particularly attached to any of these theories, but

I do look forward to finding out exactly what it is that we're using the

name Noah for, because, like, I just find it really kind of

interesting. This is just on a personal level that the way that translation works,

go back to Loofy, who is standing over And it took me a second,

you guys, because he's standing over this spot and there's all this like

smoke and steam coming out, and for a second I was sort of like,

wait, what's going on here? And it's pretty quickly we see that

this is the hole made from Hordy being punched into the ground. I was

so delighted that that was what this was, That he has been fucked up

so bad that it's a literal smoking crater. Amazing and all of his people

are surrounding him and just kind of going, hey, uh boss, everything

good. Yeah, I really thought that you were gonna be able to stand

up against this guy after you took that fucking those you know, steroids,

that nothing would be able to hold you back. And it's really actually kind

of surprising to me that he does get up with no problem a moment later,

because I had thought the way that he went down seemed somewhat final.

I'm not mad about it at all. I actually really like the fact that

he didn't go down that easily. But I won't lie and pretend that I

didn't have a moment of like, oh oh wow, okay, Like I

was just as surprised as Lufy was, really, and yeah, when Lufy

gets up or when he gets up, Loofy is just like, huh,

wow, you're tougher than I thought. And he keeps saying that this dude

is tougher than he thought. And I know that probably like that is meant

it's meant as a compliment. I don't think Luviy's meaning to compliment him.

It's like a lot of the time I kind of enjoy when a villain when

this is sort of flipped around when like a villain gives the hero a compliment

and is like, you know what, I thought I was gonna have an

easy time taking care of you, and here you still are putting up a

fight. And actually that is sort of impressive. But when it's coming from

Loofy, it's not like it doesn't have the same tone. Somebody doing this

to your protest agonist a villain, it always feels like, well, they're

just trying to be dismissive here, right, They're just trying to be sort

of patronizing. But Loofy isn't ever attempting to do a sort of double speak.

Loofy says just exactly what he means to say. So this moment of

just like, huh, I really thought that I'd be done, that'd be

it, and that you'd be done. He just straight up thought this dude

looked like he wasn't shit. That's the way it sounds to me. So

it's not really a compliment. It's more like an attack on the image that

this man is giving off. So anyway, yeah, he is coming at

him, and it's just so funny because he's really like there is a sense

once they're in the water yeah, Hordy is absolutely right to feel as superior

to Loofy as he feels. But in this moment, he is trying to

punch him, and it's this amazing image because it looks like Lufy's head is

gone for a second, and you know, one second later, I was

very much like, yeah, okay, it's just his rubber neck. His

head is like just stretched backwards. And indeed we do find that out,

but for a moment, I was like, wow, is this a new

power? Can Lufy do like a Buggy the clown and just attach his head?

And Lufy says, I you forgot that I'm rubber. That kind of

punch wouldn't do anything to me, especially since it's so weak and you're nothing

compared to Jimbay, And I thought I thought we were gonna get Jimbab kind

of being like aw shucks, you know, like, oh, thanks,

I appreciate, you know, like just a sort of silly and instead Jimbe

just turns to him and says, of course not, he's relying on a

drug that's not his actual strength. And I was so here for Jimbay being

that dismissive and just like ew no, of course he can't like hold a

candle to me. Love it, Jimbay. I love this energy from you,

and you just being so contemptuous and taking it completely for granted. I

don't think that this is supposed to be, like you know, really a

marker of his self confidence. I think it's meant to just be showing his

disdain for the way that Horty operates, and that's completely fine. But I

did enjoy seeing how like duh he seemed to react to Loofy here, and

also like he says he's relying on that rather than trying to improve, and

I think that's really the thing. And I was talking about this with Rashan

a few days ago, because you know, I am not a perfect person

in any sense, but I also am pretty aware of a lot of my

shortcomings and I feel like I am often just working to try and improve.

And I can forgive when people aren't perfect, but I want to feel like

they are trying to be better than they are, because if they are just

sort of using the fact that well, nobody's perfect to sort of cover the

fact that they aren't even attempting to be better, I really lose a lot

of respect for them. And this is something that, like, I wish

I had understood a little bit better when I was younger and dating, because

this is a thing that a lot of guys would pull was, well,

you know, I'm just kind of an asshole. They would say it like

while you were first dating them, as if it were self deprecating. But

then later on in the relationship, you would get into a fight over something

that this dude did, and he would try and act like, well,

you knew what you were getting into with me, because you were I already

told you that I'm an asshole, So what did you expect? And they

would act as if like, well, since I already confessed that I am,

that's pretty much a get out of jail free card, and I no

longer need to be worried about the consequences of my actions because all of it

has already been disclaimed by me saying this thing, and therefore you have no

right to have any expectations of me. And I'll tell you what, guys,

that is such an immature approach. It's so like, it's so pitiful,

and it's also so cowardly and just so gross that I really am ashamed

at the fact that I was, like taken in by that as much as

I know that that's like a weird sort of tangent to go on at

I wanted to kind of correct what I said because I acted like Jimbay was

saying like, oh, well, he doesn't have the strength, like that

was what he was taking issue with. But really Jimbay is like, oh,

he isn't even trying. He's not attempting to be better. He's just

relying on something to do the work for him. And that seems to be

really the thing that he finds just he treats it with a great deal of

disdain. So then Lufy is like, all right, well, time to

use hard head or hard headed, I think, is what he says.

I'm trying to get it. My thing is frozen. I'm sorry, guys,

going on with my computer today and it is like kind of running a

little slow. But he says like hard headed, and there's like a patch

in the center of his forehead that seems to turn to metal. And I

thought that this was going to turn out to be something that kind of makes

his head into a hammer. I really don't know how else to say that,

and instead it's his whole body can seem to turn into metal, and

he says a second later, he says armament hardening, which I think is

meant to be a bit of a pun because it's his arm that is hardening

at the moment. This is like a completely new trick, and I really

do kind of wish that we had gotten to see this development with him.

I know, I'm I feel as if in a lot of ways we actually

got to see more of everybody else's training than of Loofy's. And I don't

know if I'm alone in this, maybe it would just have like if we

did see it, maybe I wouldn't have been totally satisfied with it. But

uh, I did sort of feel like, Okay, you're just really like

pulling this out of nowhere now, And I wasn't sure if I really liked

that. I want him to be able to do new things, but it's

one thing to do versions of the things that he's always been able to do,

and it's another thing to really have a completely new skill set and turning

his body to what seems like metal. I don't understand how that goes with

any of his abilities at all, like first and second gear are, or

what second and third gear, because his regular power is meant to be first

gear, right, I can't remember which one it is, the sort of

like it seems like he turns into a water bottle and it's steaming up behind

him. But that at least felt like it went with the rubber power.

And then what was the other one? When he just has like incredible force

behind his punches, right, and he is able to like bust down a

huge door, and I think that I saw that as just increasing the velocity

of the punch somehow. So it's not exactly like the strength is coming from

nowhere. It's the same fist and the same matter, but it's just that

he is like leveraging that differently, and so I was willing to just take

that one also in stride. This feels like a really really different ability that

I can't okay. Floria is saying, Okay, this is weird. This

is armament hockey, the hockey that can even hurt devil fruit users. People

have used it before, like Raleigh and Garp. But why was it not

black. It's a I think distinct choice to show it because in real one

he is just able to use here, and he decks Hoardy with it,

and Hordy again goes down and it's looking like, Okay, that did something,

but Loofy is uh just standing there. When Hordy gets back up and

Hordy starts doing the equivalent of like a machine gun fire, that's just raining

down on him with those those drops of water that he uses like bullets and

loofy is just somehow avoiding them, and it's I think meant to be that

he has the awareness of his surroundings that he can feel where all the drops

are. The thing that's like kind of not fully ringing true for me here

is that the principle behind moving out of the way is that you have a

space without a bullet coming at you to move into, and he doesn't.

His whole area is just covered in these Like I keep using the word bullets

because saying drops or rain drops it doesn't sound at all intimidating. So he

is there really doesn't look like there is space for him to move into.

If he were making himself really skinny, rubbery and like wiggling because he was

rubber and managing to dodge them that way, it would feel a lot more

believable to me because he was reducing the surface area that there was possible to

hit. But he's not doing that. He's just sort of like vaguely standing

in place and waving around. And it didn't look for me at all like

he was not going to get hit, So I like I accepted it because

I meant to, but I really didn't feel like the way it was done

worked for me. And then he says that he's done dancing around, and

he comes and punches Hordy again, and that punch sends Hordy flying what looks

to be about six hundred feet into the side of a building. Basically like

he is in the air and all of his guys are watching this, and

basically, like I kept thinking about that meme where it's a gift of like

a guy who's falling across the screen holding his face as a bunch of other

guys are just going, oh shit behind him, like somebody just did the

most sick burn you've ever heard, and everybody is reacting to it. So

I kind of felt for Hordy because I was like, yeah, Brah,

you are losing a lot of face here, Like this is not you're supposed

to be inspiring your men already. I'm kind of like side eyeing him because

he is taking all of these pills and everybody around him had been warning him,

but it seems to have like kind of worked out for him. I

just feel like this has to be a temporary effect, you know, So

I just don't think Cordy is being a great leader here. Oh god,

right in front of me, especially because the show kind of like jumps between

poning Hordy until they are underwater. I want to talk about what's going on

with Vanderdecken and the fact that evidently he's responsible for the Noah and the fact

that it has moved from wherever it was being kept. I am not sure

if it's supposed to be that, like he knows how precious the excuse me,

the Noah is to all of them, and if he is meant to

be sort of displaying a complete lack of respect for something that everybody else feels

is really meaningful, or if it's like that he just knows it's a big

ship and that he wants to use something large enough to do the damage that

he's looking for, and he just picked this because he is aware of it

and he knows it'll be a great weapon to accomplish what he wants to accomplish,

but that he doesn't really have the context for it. And I think

the part of my confusion on this is that I can't understand what Vanderdecken is

supposed to be. I think he is supposed to be a fish man with

legs that are sort of crab like, with him having like, how many

is it for sets of legs? Is it? I mean not four sets

four legs? Or does he have six? He just his overall look is

much less fish like than almost any of the other fishmen that we have seen.

Part of that is just his facial hair, and there's a flatness to

the way he's animated that is really different than a lot of other characters.

He looks much more two dimensional than they have. So it's sort of like,

I don't really know where he fits into everything, because the way that

Hordy talks about him is not like Vanderdecken is a fishman himself who is invested

in the cause. It's like Hordy has aligned himself with somebody outside of the

fishman to accomplish a goal, and that a lot of people sort of are

looking down on that or just have feelings about it. Maybe not looking down

on it, but it almost feels like Horty is planning to make use of

him while he can and then completely sever tie. So oh sorry, Florian

says, we've seen Van like three episodes ago. He does this because if

he can't get shiro Hoshi, everything should be destroyed. No, no,

no, Florian, I get why he's doing this. I'm talking about like

vander Dikins's understanding of the significance of using the Noah to destroy everything. Is

he doing it because he just knows that there's a huge ship and that's big

enough to do the job. Is it supposed to be a combination of like,

this ship is super meaningful and he knows that, and he is being

super disrespectful and doesn't care because that's just how bad a man he is.

And part of my confusion is because I don't know if he is a fishman,

and I don't know if he would know the significance of what the Noah

is because the Prince himself doesn't know. And therefore I feel like it has

to be either like a secret or maybe a sort of like local legend or

something I can't tell, because some of the other townsfolk fish folk react to

seeing the Noah as if they do understand how significant it is, So I

hesitate to say that it's a secret if other regular people know about it.

But maybe it's just a sort of legend and they have that vague understanding but

they don't really know the details about it. Oh okay, Florian is saying

don't look like they're too big, but they're pretty cool looking. I think

a lot of people are starting to like see or like realize that Vanderdkin is

behind this. One of the guys is just like, I was just wondering,

Hordy, is this part of your big plan? Because you know if

Vanderdkin's doing this, and he's like, because vander Dikens, you know your

partner, and Hordy just tells this guy to shut the fuck up. Basically,

but later on what Hordy does, he comes to the conclusion rightfully that

if Vanderdekin has decided he's going to do something this destructive, then why am

I allied with him? He doesn't give a shit about what I'm doing.

He's about to completely ruin everything, including killing me. So yeah, I'm

going to go and deal with this motherfucker. And Vanderdecken really seems to not

see this coming. I don't know what gave him the confidence to really think

that Hordy isn't going to fight back after seeing this thing hurtling towards the island

that he was intent on taking over. I don't think it's meant to be

that Vanderdecken gives much of anything serious thought. He just doesn't seem like a

guy who has a big picture point of view. But yeah, this dude
