Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Trump and Epstein: What the New York Times Revealed About Their Real Relationship (Part 1)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Epstein Chronicles. Look, I don't think it's any shock to
- 0:06anybody at this point that Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein
- 0:09were buddies and that they spent a lot of time
- 0:11together back in the day. That has all been well documented.
- 0:15And in a new article from the New York Times,
- 0:18they're talking about that relationship once again. And look, it
- 0:21doesn't make Donald Trump guilty, right, we have to make
- 0:24sure we're clear about that doesn't make him guilty of
- 0:26being involved in the crimes until we have evidence of that.
- 0:30If we ever have evidence of that, we can't run
- 0:32around and make things up. But for me, it's the
- 0:35enabling and of course that's not criminal at least not
- 0:39that we know of, unless there was something else going
- 0:41on behind the scenes, you know, money laundering, whatever. But
- 0:45what it is is morally despicable and it makes things
- 0:49so much worse for Donald Trump that he's the president,
- 0:52he knows he's in these files, and he did everything
- 0:55in his power to keep the information from the American public.
- 0:58And of course the reasoning is, well, there's national security
- 1:01interests on the line, there's an ongoing investigation, but do
- 1:05you really believe that if say it was flipped around
- 1:09and Obama was with Jeffrey Epstein all the time, Trump
- 1:12would have released the files on day one. Of course
- 1:15he would have. That's the kind of guy he is, right,
- 1:18The guy is petty and he holds a grudge, There's
- 1:21no doubt about it. But the fact is it was
- 1:23Donald Trump himself who was spending all this time with Epstein,
- 1:27and it was documented in pictures, it was documented at events.
- 1:30There's no running from that, and anybody who tries to
- 1:33deny it or downplay it is really just digging the
- 1:37hole deeper. You have to confront that kind of shit
- 1:39head on right, yep, this is a fact. They hung out,
- 1:42there were friends. What else happened? And that's where Trump
- 1:46really stepped in it. Everybody knew that they were friendly,
- 1:49but now that we're getting documented proof that that friendship
- 1:52went deeper, that leads to more sinister questions. What did
- 1:55he know? When did he know it? And was he
- 1:57ever around when anyone was being abused? And Donald Trump
- 2:01himself could have cleared all of this up by just
- 2:03releasing the files right away and speaking to the American
- 2:07public directly, Hey, look me and this dude were friends.
- 2:10Not exactly the greatest moment of my life, but I
- 2:13was never around when there was any abuse going on.
- 2:16Here's the proof. That's what a man with integrity and
- 2:19nothing to hide does. But what did Donald Trump do?
- 2:22He retreated right back to the bunker, and not only that,
- 2:25he set fire to the battlefield before he left, calling
- 2:28people traders, calling people stupid whatever. Meanwhile, the only one
- 2:33who looks stupid is Donald Trump and the people still
- 2:36defending him over this shit. And I'm certainly not somebody
- 2:39with Trump derangement syndrome. I don't think about the dude
- 2:42enough to even care that much, because at the end
- 2:45of the day, I understand that the president, Donald Trump
- 2:48or anybody else is just a symptom of a much
- 2:50bigger problem. So I don't spend all my time worrying
- 2:53about this dude. He's going to be gone soon. There'll
- 2:56be a new election and a new jerk off will
- 2:58take over. But we're not going to run from the
- 3:02fact that Donald Trump's the president right now and he's
- 3:04overseeing what I think is a gigantic cover up. So
- 3:08in this episode, we're going to talk a little bit
- 3:10more about the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump,
- 3:14as told by The New York Times and the headline
- 3:17Don's best Friend. How Epstein and Trump bonded over the
- 3:21pursuit of women. This article was authored by Nicholas Confessor
- 3:27and Julie Tait. Jeffrey Epstein was a terrific guy and
- 3:30a lot of fun to be with. He and Donald J.
- 3:32Trump also had no formal relationship. They went to a
- 3:36lot of the same parties, but they didn't socialize together.
- 3:39They were never really friends, just business acquaintances, or there
- 3:43was no relationship at all. I was not a fan
- 3:45of his. That's all I can tell you. Those are
- 3:48some of the things that Donald Trump has said about
- 3:51his obvious relationship with Epstein. And look again, I'm not
- 3:54gonna sit here and tell you that there's a bunch
- 3:56of criminality here that I can point to. But that's
- 3:58not the issue at hand, at least it's not when
- 4:00it comes to Donald Trump. It's the lie upon lie
- 4:03that he's told and how those lies have compounded and
- 4:06turned into a cover up. For nearly a quarter century,
- 4:09mister Trump and his representatives have offered shifting, often contradictory
- 4:14accounts of his relationship with mister Epstein, once sporadically captured
- 4:18by society photographers and in newsclips before they fell out
- 4:22sometime in the mid two thousands, closely scrutinized. Since mister
- 4:26Epstein died in a Manhattan Jael cell during mister Trump's
- 4:29first term, there are friendship in questions about what the
- 4:33president knew of mister Epstein's abuses now threatens to consume
- 4:37his second one. Yeah, look, there's no doubt about it.
- 4:40People can say whatever they want about the falling numbers
- 4:43of Donald Trump, but if you don't think that this
- 4:45played a gigantic part, you're crazy. And that's because a
- 4:49lot of the independents who supported Trump are abandoning ship.
- 4:52One of the main issues for independent voters was this
- 4:55issue specifically, and Donald Trump obviously has failed the test.
- 5:00The controversy has shaken mister Trump's iron hold on his
- 5:03base like no other. Loyal supporters have demanded to know
- 5:06why the administration has not moved more quickly to on
- 5:10earth the convicted sex offenders remaining secrets. In November, after
- 5:15resisting months of pressure to release more Epstein related documents
- 5:18held by the federal government and Facing an almost unheard
- 5:21of revolt among Republican lawmakers, mister Trump reversed himself, signing
- 5:26legislation that requires their release beginning this week. And we
- 5:30all know that we had to drag him there, kicking
- 5:31and screaming. He didn't want to do it on his own.
- 5:34In fact, he didn't do it on his own. If
- 5:36it wasn't for the discharge petition, they'd still be dogwalking
- 5:39this shit. Believe me, that was always the plan, dog
- 5:43walk this as long as possible. Mister Epstein had a
- 5:46talent for acquiring powerful friends, some of whom have become
- 5:49ensnared in the continuing scrutiny of his crimes for months.
- 5:53Mister Trump is labored furiously to shift himself out of
- 5:57the frame, dismissing questions about his relationationship with mister Epstein
- 6:01as a Democrat hoax and imploring his supporters to ignore
- 6:04the matter entirely, Like who does that? What kind of
- 6:09scoundrel tells people to ignore Jeffrey Epstein unless, of course,
- 6:13you're scared of something come into the surface. And to
- 6:16my opinion, there's a whole lot of fear of being
- 6:18shown by a whole lot of people an examination of
- 6:21their history by The New York Times has found no
- 6:23evidence implicating mister Trump in mister Epstein's abuse and trafficking
- 6:28of miners. Just like I've been telling you, we don't
- 6:30have that evidence. Now, I'm not saying it doesn't exist,
- 6:33but what I'm saying is that we've never seen it.
- 6:35There's no public documentation of anything like that occurring. But
- 6:40that's what they want you to focus on. I'm not
- 6:42going to focus on what they want. I'm going to
- 6:44focus on the fact that this is a cover up,
- 6:46and the fact that this was being covered up at all,
- 6:50for any instant, for any reason, is a gigantic crime
- 6:53in itself. So that's what needs to be focused on.
- 6:56And I've told you a million times, don't go after
- 6:58the shiny object, don't go after you know al Capone's
- 7:03murder spree. Go after his tax records. That's how you're
- 7:06going to get him. And the same goes for this situation.
- 7:09If we want true accountability, we have to be willing
- 7:11to kick in every single door. But the two men's
- 7:14relationship was both far closer and far more complex than
- 7:17the President now admits. Beginning in the late nineteen eighties,
- 7:21the two men forged the bond intense enough to leave
- 7:24others who knew them with the impression that they were
- 7:27each other as close as friends. The Times found mister
- 7:31Epstein was then a little known financier who cultivated mystery
- 7:34around the scope and source of his self made wealth.
- 7:39Mister Trump, six years older, was a real estate scion
- 7:42who relished publicity and exaggerated his successes. Neither man drank
- 7:46or did drugs. They pursued women in a game of
- 7:49ego and dominance. Female bodies were the currency. And if
- 7:53we're being honest, that whole entire era was filled with
- 7:56a bunch of degenerates, a whole bunch of hedonistic degenerates,
- 8:01especially in the financial sector. So there's no doubt that
- 8:05there was a bunch of debauchery taking place, and I
- 8:08have no doubt that Donald Trump was smack in the
- 8:10middle of it. Over nearly two decades, as mister Trump
- 8:15cut a swathe through the party circuits of New York
- 8:18and Florida, mister Epstein was perhaps his most reliable wingman.
- 8:22During the nineties and early two thousands, they prowled mister
- 8:25Epstein's Manhattan mansion and mister Trump's Plaza hotel, at least
- 8:29one of Trump's Atlantic City casinos, and both of their
- 8:33Palm Beach homes. They visited each other's offices and spoke
- 8:36often by phone, according to other former Epstein employees and
- 8:40women who spent time in his homes and look, Maria
- 8:44Farmer told us all about it, about the relationship between
- 8:47Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, and she said the same thing.
- 8:50She didn't see anything that was criminal at the time,
- 8:53but there's no doubt that the nexus and that relationship existed,
- 8:57and the fact that people still want to deny it's
- 8:59baffle to me. With other men, mister Apstein might discuss tax, shelters,
- 9:04international affairs, or neuroscience with mister Trump, he talked about sex.
- 9:10I just think it was, you know, trophy hunting. Stacy Williams,
- 9:12who rose to fame as a star of the Sports
- 9:15Illustrated Swimsuit edition during the nineties, set in an interview
- 9:19with The Times. In social media posts and interviews with
- 9:22news outlets in recent years, miss Williams has described how
- 9:27Trump groped her in nineteen ninety three at Trump Tower
- 9:30while mister Apstein, whom she was then dating, watched I
- 9:33think Jeffrey liked that he had the sports illustrated model
- 9:37who had this name, and that Trump was pursuing me,
- 9:40she said. Mister Trump has denied her account. Of course
- 9:44he has. Has he ever admitted anything to shed light
- 9:48on their friendship. The Times interviewed more than thirty former
- 9:50Epstein employees, victims of his abuse, and others who crossed
- 9:54paths with the two men over the years. The Times
- 9:58also obtained new documents that illuminate their relationship, and scoured
- 10:01core documents and other public records. Many of the people
- 10:05interviewed by The Times asked to share their stories anonymously,
- 10:09saying they feared for their safety at the hands of
- 10:11supporters of mister Trump. A president who has deployed the
- 10:15might of the federal government to target and punish his
- 10:18political opponents. And we've seen it time and time again.
- 10:21Donald Trump has no problem going after people, and I
- 10:25wouldn't have any doubt of him going after the survivors
- 10:28if it served as purpose. I mean, hell, even myself,
- 10:31I'm making sure that all my shit's on the up
- 10:33and up, my tax returns are right. Everything. The last
- 10:36thing you want to do is give somebody like Donald
- 10:37Trump and the federal government any inroads to give you
- 10:41a colonoscopy. Some Epstein victims have already received death threats
- 10:47for demanding a full accounting of the government's investigation, according
- 10:51to a statement released by more than two dozen of
- 10:54them last month. Yo, let me just go on the record.
- 10:57If you're threatening survivors, you're a bitch Assma, You are
- 11:01a straight up coward, a clown, and your parents should
- 11:04be slapped in the face for birthing you. Who attacks survivors,
- 11:09bro in what defense of Donald Trump's bitch ass who
- 11:12doesn't care about you one single bit, who's ready to
- 11:15send your kids off to war in Venezuela. Oh yeah,
- 11:18that's the guy that you should be going crazy over.
- 11:20That's the guy you should be threatening people for. And
- 11:22if that's you, my advice is this, wake the fuck
- 11:25up before you get woke up. Over the years, mister
- 11:29Epstein or his partner Glenn Maxwell, introduced at least six
- 11:32women who have accused them of grooming or abuse to
- 11:36mister Trump, according to interviews, core testimony, and other records.
- 11:40One was a miner at the time. None of accused
- 11:42mister Trump himself of inappropriate behavior, and it's important to
- 11:46point that out. I think it's very important to point
- 11:48that out. People are getting way ahead of themselves saying
- 11:51Trump was part of the actual trafficking, etc. You gotta
- 11:55be careful because what you do is you give the
- 11:58other side, the side of the babler's the side of
- 12:00the protector's ammunition. Oh look, it's all about Trump. It's
- 12:04all about this, all about that. Now. I'm not saying
- 12:06to shy away from actual evidence, lean into that shit,
- 12:09but shy away from the nonsense. Shy away from the
- 12:12things that are going to hurt the overall investigation, because
- 12:17at the end of the day, none of that stuff
- 12:18even matters. Do you think the survivors care about that? Bs,
- 12:22What do you think they care about this? Moving forward
- 12:24and full transparency. One of the women, who has never
- 12:27spoken publicly about the experience, told The Times that mister
- 12:31Epstein had coerced her into attending four parties at mister
- 12:34Epstein's home. Mister Trump attended all four, the woman said.
- 12:38At two of them, she said, mister Epstein directed her
- 12:41to have sex with other male guests. So, according to
- 12:44that woman's account, Donald Trump was at this house when
- 12:48she was being trafficked to other people. Now, is that
- 12:52a crime? I don't know. Certainly a gray area, certainly
- 12:55not the kind of place that you want to find
- 12:57the president inhabiting, and certainly not morally acceptable, no matter
- 13:01how you chop it. In an email among those released
- 13:04by Congress in November, mister Epstein boasted that he gave
- 13:07mister Trump a twenty year old woman whom mister Epstein
- 13:10dated in the nineties. During a flight together in the
- 13:13early nineteen nineties, mister Trump came on to another Epstein
- 13:16employee traveling with them, telling her that he could have
- 13:19anyone he wanted. According to a different Epstein worker who
- 13:23learned of the incident, a separate Epstein employee from the
- 13:26era recalled that mister Trump would occasionally send over modeling
- 13:30cards for mister Epstein to peruse, like a menu. And
- 13:34there's a lot of people that have cooperated that. We've
- 13:37heard that from many, many sources. It's not just the
- 13:40New York Times that's blowing that out of the water.
- 13:42We've heard that previously. Mister Epstein, who claimed he required
- 13:47orgasms three times a day, exploited or abused hundreds of
- 13:51women and girls before dying in what was ruled a
- 13:54suicide thousands. You would think that all this investigation that
- 13:58the New York Times did, they know the truth thousands
- 14:01of women. And that's not hyperbole. I'm talking about globally, right,
- 14:06not just America. I'm talking about South America, Central America, Europe, Asia,
- 14:11and wherever the fuck else this egg dict Wirdo ended
- 14:14up going. If you think this dude wasn't abusing people
- 14:17everywhere he went, you're crazy. Mister Trump does not stand
- 14:21accused of sexually abusing a minor, but over the course
- 14:24of his friendship with mister Epstein and beyond, he left
- 14:27a trail of alleged abuse and assault, many details of
- 14:31which began to surface publicly during his successful twenty sixteen
- 14:35presidential run. Close to twenty women have publicly accused mister
- 14:40Trump of groping, forcibly kissing, or sexually assaulting them, behavior
- 14:44that he once bragged he could get away with because
- 14:46of his celebrity, but later denied ever engaging in. In
- 14:50twenty twenty three, the writer E. Gene Carroll one of
- 14:53five million dollars civil judgment against mister Trump for sexual
- 14:57abuse and defamation. So look, those are the facts. Right.
- 15:01You can dispute the case. You can dispute what the
- 15:04jury or judge found, but that's on the record, man.
- 15:10And all these other accounts. We have to understand that
- 15:13there is an environment, a political environment, and you have
- 15:16to be very cautious about what you're accepting and what
- 15:19you're not accepting. But to think that there wasn't any
- 15:23evidence whatsoever from any of those women, that's just not true. Now,
- 15:27of course, that doesn't make Donald Trump guilty of the
- 15:30kind of crimes Epstein was involved in, but it certainly
- 15:32makes him a fellow traveler. In response to a detailed
- 15:37list of questions from the Times, the White House Press
- 15:39Secretary Carolyn Levitt issued a statement, This fake news story,
- 15:44which is not worth the paper that it's printed on,
- 15:46is just another stale regurgitation of decades old false allegations
- 15:50against President Trump. The truth will remain the same no
- 15:54matter how many times The New York Times tries to
- 15:57change it. President Trump did nothing wrong, and he kick
- 16:00Jeffrey Epstein out of mar A Lago for being a creep. Well, yeah,
- 16:04but not until you let Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell
- 16:07recruit Virginia to go and be abused. Let's not forget
- 16:10that part, Carolyn Levitt. And again, this is where people
- 16:14are missing the boat. Quit focusing on what Epstein and
- 16:17Trump might have been doing together. We don't have the
- 16:19evidence of that. You know, we have evidence of a
- 16:22fucking cover up. Focus on that. And it's no different
- 16:25than during that whole Russiagate nonsense. I told everybody, if
- 16:28you really wanted to find something of substance, you need
- 16:31to go after the concrete companies that Trump was in
- 16:33business with at the time, and that's because they were
- 16:36all run by the mafia. But instead everybody wanted to
- 16:39chase salacious bullshit, you know, the pe on the bed story,
- 16:41the salacious stuff that you can't prove. And I think
- 16:44a lot of people are falling into that same trap
- 16:46here because there is obviously a cover up under away,
- 16:49and I think that if we continue to focus on that,
- 16:52it's going to become apparent to anybody who's paying attention
- 16:55that that's exactly what's going on. And I think that
- 16:58if people want to see real change here, they want
- 17:01to see real action, they want to see people held accountable,
- 17:04will focus on the cover up. It's unclear what new
- 17:08information may emerge under the new law passed by Congress.
- 17:11The statute allows the Trump administration to withhold records that
- 17:15identify victims, including images of child sexual abuse, or documents
- 17:19that are otherwise classified. His appointees can also hold back
- 17:24records that could jeopardize an active federal investigation, such as
- 17:28a new inquiry ordered by mister Trump into Democrats associated
- 17:32with mister Epstein. In a statement in late November, a
- 17:35group of Epstein accusers wrote, other than redacting victim names,
- 17:39we want the files disclosed, and I've heard that directly
- 17:42from survivors themselves. That's what they want. They want complete
- 17:46transparency here. They want the files to be released, and
- 17:49they want accountability. Is that too much to ask, especially
- 17:53after you've been abused and discarded the way these women
- 17:56have been for all these years. They're just asking for
- 17:58a fair shake, And if an anybody's ever deserved a
- 18:01little bit of fairness, it's these women. Mister Trump is
- 18:04denied knowing of mister Epstein's abuse of underage girls, but
- 18:07in a tratch of emails or released in November, mister
- 18:10Epstein suggested otherwise. In a twenty nineteen message to the
- 18:14journalist Michael Wolfe, He wrote of mister Trump, of course
- 18:18he knew about the girls, as he asked Elane to stop,
- 18:21the full context of mister Epstein's remark is unclear. In
- 18:24a twenty ten deposition, mister Epstein was asked if he
- 18:27had ever socialized with mister Trump with girls under eighteen,
- 18:32as he did more than three dozen times. During the deposition,
- 18:35mister Epstein invoked his constitutional right not to answer. Though
- 18:39I'd like to answer that question at least today, I'm
- 18:42going to have to assert my fifth, sixth and fourteenth
- 18:45Amendment rights, sir, he replied. All right, folks, we're going
- 18:48to wrap up episode one right here, and in the
- 18:50next episode we're going to pick up where we left off.
- 18:53All of the information that goes with this episode can
