- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becka Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello everyone, we're scrubbing in.
- 0:16Speaker 3: We're back again.
- 0:17Speaker 4: Back.
- 0:17Speaker 5: Would you like to introduce our guests of honor?
- 0:19Speaker 6: We're back with my fiance, Haley Kio.
- 0:25Speaker 5: How fun is it?
- 0:27Speaker 2: It's really cool fun. Yeah. It feels like fresh and new.
- 0:31Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, so.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Tune in next week and the same thing, and I
- 0:38Speaker 1: will keep asking it until she's your wife.
- 0:41Speaker 5: So well feels elevated. Yeah, yeah, right, it's.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Just like an upgrade because I will say I'm not felt.
- 0:48Speaker 6: I'm not against being girlfriend or boyfriend for however long
- 0:51Speaker 6: it feels right. But at a certain point when we
- 0:54Speaker 6: say girlfriend and then people are like, oh, how long
- 0:56Speaker 6: have you been together, and it's like, oh, seven years,
- 0:58Speaker 6: it kind of felt like, do I need start saying
- 1:00Speaker 6: partner to make it feel a little more like elevated? Yeah?
- 1:04Speaker 5: Yeah, long term, yeah, long term.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I don't want people to think it was just like
- 1:09Speaker 2: this random summer fling.
- 1:10Speaker 6: I was, yeah, right, right, right, So fiance feels really elevated.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, So we asked the scrubbers to submit their
- 1:20Speaker 1: questions for the newly engaged missus and missus and Mark
- 1:26Speaker 1: is gonna start asking those now.
- 1:29Speaker 7: I mean, scrubbers always come through and they're very sweet
- 1:31Speaker 7: and they're thrilled for you. They're so excited, and some
- 1:33Speaker 7: of them have said, like, you know, we want every detail.
- 1:35Speaker 7: If it takes ten episodes, that is fine with us.
- 1:37Speaker 7: Just keep it coming. But this was a nice one
- 1:40Speaker 7: from Jen Touton. Jen said, I'd love to know when
- 1:43Speaker 7: the subject of marriage started becoming more of a possibility.
- 1:46Speaker 7: For so long, it seemed like it wasn't a huge priority,
- 1:49Speaker 7: and then I noticed subtle shifts when the subject came up,
- 1:51Speaker 7: and I would love to know their trajectory.
- 1:54Speaker 5: I don't know, it's just been like a slow burn
- 1:58Speaker 5: for us. I feel like, yeah, I.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Think I would say last year, when we officially moved
- 2:03Speaker 6: in together, there was kind of that like, Okay, we're
- 2:06Speaker 6: planning our future now together because because we both had
- 2:11Speaker 6: have had commitment issues in the past. I think when
- 2:14Speaker 6: we officially decided to move in and like merge our
- 2:18Speaker 6: life officially together, it felt more like, Okay, we're we're
- 2:22Speaker 6: in this, you know, we're doing it. And I also
- 2:24Speaker 6: think that just like getting through some things, like where
- 2:27Speaker 6: Haley like would have to leave for work for long
- 2:30Speaker 6: periods of time, and we were able to like navigate
- 2:32Speaker 6: that in a healthy way, which I really had a
- 2:35Speaker 6: hard time with earlier, earlier in our relationship.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It just made it feel like, Okay, we can we
- 2:40Speaker 2: can do this.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Feel like we've been through everything.
- 2:44Speaker 6: That can go.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I know, I feel like there is something to be
- 2:47Speaker 1: said about like, and no shade to anybody that gets
- 2:50Speaker 1: engaged after like six months of dating, Like everybody has
- 2:53Speaker 1: their own story, but there is something to be said
- 2:54Speaker 1: about spending so much time with someone because I do
- 2:57Speaker 1: feel like over time, that's when you like really learn
- 3:00Speaker 1: the ins and outs of like being in a relationship
- 3:02Speaker 1: with somebody.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Yeah, what life is going to look like together?
- 3:05Speaker 3: Like you've always been together for a decade.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's more than some people like our marriage
- 3:11Speaker 1: staying married, you know what I mean?
- 3:13Speaker 6: Yeah, true, Yeah, Yeah, we've we've you know, like we've
- 3:18Speaker 6: worked really hard at our relationship and also it's been
- 3:21Speaker 6: like the easiest thing to work.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Like I've I've always just wanted us to figure it out.
- 3:26Speaker 6: We want to be together, and so when whether it
- 3:28Speaker 6: was like family stuff or work stuff, or just personal stuff.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Like I felt like we always were like there was
- 3:34Speaker 6: never a moment of let's just throw in the towel.
- 3:36Speaker 6: It was how do we figure this out so that
- 3:39Speaker 6: we can be together and it be like a healthy
- 3:40Speaker 6: and beautiful relationship. And we've done that, and I think
- 3:46Speaker 6: that it just kind of started to feel more comfortable talk.
- 3:48Speaker 6: I think marriage to me has always felt like a
- 3:54Speaker 6: daunting experience. Like I think I've always just been like,
- 3:58Speaker 6: why do you need that? You know, I never was
- 4:01Speaker 6: someone who like dreamed about that part of my life,
- 4:04Speaker 6: and so I think my focus was always if that's
- 4:07Speaker 6: what Haley wants, I'm so happy to do that because
- 4:09Speaker 6: I just know I want to be with her forever.
- 4:10Speaker 6: So she wants to do the traditional you know, give
- 4:13Speaker 6: each other rings and have a big celebration and have
- 4:16Speaker 6: a wedding, I'm so happy to do that.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But I think when when we got engaged.
- 4:21Speaker 6: I was like, oh, I really this feels so exciting
- 4:24Speaker 6: and important, you know, so.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I know it's I was actually I didn't I because
- 4:30Speaker 1: I knew how you had felt about like marriage, and like,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I feel like you and I are very different, you know,
- 4:36Speaker 1: I mean, like I look forward to it like my
- 4:38Speaker 1: whole life, right, I was waiting for that moment, and
- 4:40Speaker 1: like you were always like very chill about it and
- 4:43Speaker 1: like not sure, and I'm like I knew the minute
- 4:46Speaker 1: you got engaged it would like all just come like
- 4:49Speaker 1: flooding into you.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's all I mean. I just I'm excited.
- 4:53Speaker 6: I think it's so fun that as women, and not
- 4:56Speaker 6: that men and women can't do this, but like that
- 4:58Speaker 6: we both get to have the moment of getting proposed to.
- 5:02Speaker 5: So I will do that though relationships.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That said, I know.
- 5:05Speaker 6: Other I know straight couples can do it, but like
- 5:08Speaker 6: it's fun that we both get to have it.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's actually a really great thing.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Is I never did that and now I kind of
- 5:16Speaker 1: feel bad.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Just grab his anniversary and.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I can surprise him. Yeah, oh that's a little detail.
- 5:30Speaker 7: You took that to a weird place.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I always do.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Tyler yems. Now we mentioned in the last show that
- 5:38Speaker 7: you know, there's really been no thought given to the
- 5:40Speaker 7: actual weddingven Tyler's worrying how long you would like the
- 5:42Speaker 7: engagement to be, and then they also added, I like
- 5:46Speaker 7: many scrubbers cried when seeing the posts. So thank you
- 5:48Speaker 7: both so much for sharing everything, and congratulations from all
- 5:51Speaker 7: of us.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Emotional. We're just going to rye this engagement out. But
- 5:59Speaker 5: in a couple of years.
- 6:00Speaker 6: I mean, Haley is a big career year next year,
- 6:04Speaker 6: and so I think.
- 6:05Speaker 5: With my film and stuff, yeah, with her movie.
- 6:07Speaker 6: And so I think that it would be like within
- 6:09Speaker 6: the next couple of years. But I don't think we
- 6:11Speaker 6: feel I mean, obviously we do everything on our own time.
- 6:14Speaker 2: So I don't think we feel rushed at all. But
- 6:17Speaker 2: I'm excited to like get to the point where we
- 6:19Speaker 2: start planning it.
- 6:20Speaker 5: Yeah, take the time to think about it, think about
- 6:22Speaker 5: how we want to do.
- 6:23Speaker 6: It, where we want to do it for us Yeah, yeah, oh.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Say I we didn't mention this before the other podcast,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but like again, I was trying to be respectful of
- 6:34Speaker 1: you being present and in the moment and not asking
- 6:37Speaker 1: like a million questions, but I kept being like, when
- 6:39Speaker 1: are we announcing this?
- 6:40Speaker 5: Like when's this happening?
- 6:42Speaker 1: And I knew we were doing the podcast, whatever day
- 6:44Speaker 1: we were doing the podcast, and you guys hadn't announced it.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So I was like planning on just like coming in
- 6:49Speaker 1: and just doing like a regular old podcast and like
- 6:52Speaker 1: waiting for you to like announce it when you wanted
- 6:53Speaker 1: to announce it again, not me, not being pushy.
- 6:56Speaker 5: So when you announced.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It, I was like very psych It was it was
- 7:00Speaker 1: like this like crazy like rush and then like Haley's
- 7:04Speaker 1: coming on and I was like, oh my gosh, it's
- 7:06Speaker 1: like so exciting, and I was like, I can't wear white.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And it took me so long to find out fit
- 7:10Speaker 1: where I'm not wearing white, and now neither one of
- 7:12Speaker 1: them are wearing white shirt on with another shirt covering it.
- 7:18Speaker 5: Fly.
- 7:18Speaker 8: I really don't have a lot of traditional but I
- 7:20Speaker 8: also don't have a lot of white, so I have.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Something to pass down.
- 7:24Speaker 6: But yeah, I was like, you're fine, you can. White
- 7:27Speaker 6: is still your color, Tanya.
- 7:29Speaker 7: So they should wear mostly white for the next two years,
- 7:31Speaker 7: and that's what it takes.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yes, good, it feels good.
- 7:36Speaker 7: So no rush is the answer to the question year
- 7:39Speaker 7: It could be two even more.
- 7:41Speaker 6: And I also just have to say, like, you know,
- 7:42Speaker 6: we posted and like obviously we know, we know just
- 7:46Speaker 6: based on how people have responded to our relationship that
- 7:49Speaker 6: people are going to be excited. But it always feels
- 7:51Speaker 6: very overwhelming to have like the love and support for
- 7:54Speaker 6: our relationship because we've been together so long and it's
- 7:57Speaker 6: been a journey, and you know, we came out publicly,
- 8:00Speaker 6: we had so much support. But like this part, like
- 8:03Speaker 6: moving into this next chapter and having people respond like
- 8:07Speaker 6: like that.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Like Tyler, is just a reminder of like how much.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Joy there is, you know, the love always outweighs the
- 8:17Speaker 1: hate always true, so true, always always speaking of when
- 8:22Speaker 1: you announced it, has your phone? Have your phone just
- 8:24Speaker 1: been like going bonkers?
- 8:26Speaker 5: We haven't when we've been here. Oh, even better, you're
- 8:29Speaker 5: gonna have got some texts.
- 8:31Speaker 6: Yeah, we've got some texts and calls while we were
- 8:34Speaker 6: getting ready, and yeah, it's been fun.
- 8:36Speaker 2: It's so fun to have like people feel excited.
- 8:39Speaker 6: You know.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I texted you this morning when I found out,
- 8:42Speaker 7: and I was not expecting a reply, but I go
- 8:43Speaker 7: on right away.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I think.
- 8:51Speaker 6: Was something something I've known about myself for so long
- 8:55Speaker 6: is that I don't like a ton of like direct
- 8:57Speaker 6: attention on me. So I get a little overwhelmed in
- 9:01Speaker 6: these types of moments.
- 9:02Speaker 2: But I'm trying to let myself just like.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Accept it and embrace it and you know, not get
- 9:08Speaker 6: overwhelmed by it because I have always felt like I
- 9:12Speaker 6: couldn't fully celebrate myself. I don't know, like I've always
- 9:16Speaker 6: just felt that, like, oh, I just need to like
- 9:17Speaker 6: play it down. But I'm trying to let myself celebrate
- 9:20Speaker 6: and be excited.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Let it. You deserve You deserve that, all of it.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Let it in.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Next question, Rosita Rodriguez Flores. We covered this a bit
- 9:30Speaker 7: in the last year, but this for timeline purposes. How
- 9:32Speaker 7: long ago did Haley purchase the ring? Because it wasn't
- 9:35Speaker 7: that long ago, right.
- 9:36Speaker 5: No, I mean it was this year. Yeah, it was
- 9:38Speaker 5: a couple of months ago.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, quick answering that question, Let's see, Tiffany, did
- 9:46Speaker 7: Beca already plan to propose and have an idea of
- 9:48Speaker 7: when she wanted to do it?
- 9:51Speaker 5: Wait say it again, did.
- 9:52Speaker 7: Beca already have an idea of when she wanted to propose?
- 9:57Speaker 2: If I did, I want to tell anyone interested.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Also, like, the whole thing with Haley is that the
- 10:03Speaker 6: ring is a very I need to find something very
- 10:05Speaker 6: specifically tailored to Haley, and we haven't gone through that process,
- 10:08Speaker 6: so I have to find a way to She was
- 10:12Speaker 6: very sneaky with how she got me to try on rings,
- 10:14Speaker 6: Like I had no.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Idea very in my head. Now, no, no.
- 10:21Speaker 8: I think we just go and pick it out and
- 10:23Speaker 8: design it and then what I want exactly what I want,
- 10:29Speaker 8: and then we'll figure it out.
- 10:31Speaker 6: Yeah, she's she's not just any girl. She deserves something
- 10:35Speaker 6: that fits herself much.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Have you ever looked at you know, those rings that
- 10:40Speaker 1: are like they're like flipped on their side.
- 10:43Speaker 5: East West, That's what I'm interested in. The East West.
- 10:47Speaker 8: I want an East West. I don't know what. Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 8: I think I don't so cool? Yeah, yeah, so we'll see.
- 10:54Speaker 6: The cool thing about it East West is that if
- 10:56Speaker 6: you want to get a reset, it can be a
- 10:58Speaker 6: North South.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Nice act better.
- 11:00Speaker 5: You can just stack timeless timeless. Yeah yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Next question Mark, Jimmy Lynn wants to be your wedding planner.
- 11:07Speaker 7: She lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- 11:11Speaker 2: We'll be shopping for what.
- 11:15Speaker 7: This is from Hira Siduki. Scribers have great names, by
- 11:19Speaker 7: the way, great names. Are there any muffed halves you
- 11:22Speaker 7: already know you envision for your big day?
- 11:27Speaker 5: Phoebe?
- 11:28Speaker 8: Oh yeah, Phoebe and dress or tugs depending on But
- 11:34Speaker 8: she feels better.
- 11:36Speaker 6: I think that what are Something I really noticed at
- 11:40Speaker 6: at y'all's wedding, Tanya was the just the people that
- 11:44Speaker 6: y'all invited was just so perfect in terms of how
- 11:49Speaker 6: everyone interacted with each other and we're celebrating you guys,
- 11:53Speaker 6: and how the whole weekend felt like that. And so
- 11:56Speaker 6: I think our biggest thing is going to be curating
- 11:58Speaker 6: our guest list.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 1: That I think was like the we were really intentional
- 12:04Speaker 1: about our guest list, Like we were obviously like it's
- 12:08Speaker 1: the people that were closest to, but like we were
- 12:11Speaker 1: just very intentional. And I feel like that weekend, it's
- 12:15Speaker 1: a game changer. That weekend, we couldn't tell like who
- 12:18Speaker 1: were there for Robbie, who were there for me? Like
- 12:20Speaker 1: it was everybody was there for everybody, and like everybody
- 12:23Speaker 1: on both sides were hanging out and partying together and
- 12:26Speaker 1: like that was like the best.
- 12:28Speaker 6: Yeah, and so and I also felt like what we
- 12:32Speaker 6: learned about Haley is that she does not do well in.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Y.
- 12:37Speaker 6: But another thing is the weather will be a very
- 12:40Speaker 6: specific choice I have.
- 12:42Speaker 5: In Los Angeles. I'm very privileged to comfort and.
- 12:46Speaker 8: So we will have to be very specific with the
- 12:50Speaker 8: climate that we choose.
- 12:51Speaker 5: You don't think you're gonna do like a snowy wedding.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Not snowy, but it can't be.
- 12:55Speaker 5: It needs to be neutral weather for me. Let me
- 12:59Speaker 5: tell you Mexico has some U so we'll be auditioning weather. Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 8: We never thought that until we were in Myerica and
- 13:11Speaker 8: I was like, I can't breathe.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Yeah, it was hard for me. Weather was my number
- 13:16Speaker 5: one Yeah, yeah, I was your dress and you really
- 13:21Speaker 5: want to feel it.
- 13:24Speaker 7: By the way, and I was wrong and I admit it.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Remember I was like, Tanya, whatever, you can't control the weather.
- 13:31Speaker 7: And by the way, it rained like crazy that weekend
- 13:34Speaker 7: in southern California. Yeah, yeah, because that was pushing for
- 13:36Speaker 7: OHI personally. Could we take a break and.
- 13:41Speaker 5: The questions do you want to tease the question?
- 13:44Speaker 7: Let me tease it this way. We solicited four questions
- 13:48Speaker 7: before we put out the first episode with all of
- 13:51Speaker 7: the details, but some of them figured stuff out anyway.
- 13:54Speaker 7: So I want to reveal some of those really intuitive
- 13:57Speaker 7: listeners coming up.
- 14:19Speaker 3: And we're back.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Mark is going to read the question.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Haley is gonna is taking a bite of a cupcake,
- 14:25Speaker 1: so we're gonna let her enjoy herself.
- 14:26Speaker 6: She was fading, she's not used to this life, this podcast.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Yeah, you go away, you go into like a tunnel
- 14:34Speaker 5: for like I don't know what. We've been here for
- 14:36Speaker 5: like an hour and a half.
- 14:38Speaker 7: I just want to shout out a couple of listeners
- 14:39Speaker 7: who gave us questions before they heard all the details
- 14:42Speaker 7: were really spot on, like Amalia Goudina, who said, who's
- 14:45Speaker 7: the first person you told? And why was it Tanya?
- 14:47Speaker 2: Oh that's so funny.
- 14:50Speaker 5: How did they know?
- 14:51Speaker 7: How about this one? This is Ashley Hartwig?
- 14:53Speaker 5: Really?
- 14:54Speaker 7: Ashley Hartwig said the ad with ring comes the Airge
- 14:57Speaker 7: a couple of weeks ago. Anything to do with this proposal?
- 15:01Speaker 4: What?
- 15:01Speaker 7: Yes, Ashley Hartwig, I need the.
- 15:04Speaker 5: Scrubbers to help me better.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Like Swifties, they're pretty good.
- 15:09Speaker 5: They're very in tune.
- 15:11Speaker 7: Yeah, all right, let's get to a question, shall we.
- 15:15Speaker 7: Let's see I flagged a couple here, okay, Blair Blair Maples.
- 15:23Speaker 7: Will they try to plan a wedding around Tanya trying
- 15:26Speaker 7: to have a baby?
- 15:27Speaker 8: Ooh, that seems complicated.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah, here's the thing.
- 15:33Speaker 6: In an ideal world, my friends are able to come
- 15:36Speaker 6: and enjoy our wedding.
- 15:38Speaker 5: We will all figure it out when the time, will
- 15:41Speaker 5: figure it out.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I can't plan around other people's Like I had to
- 15:46Speaker 1: answer that for you, because they're just you can't.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Well, I have to.
- 15:49Speaker 6: I've mentioned like I would, you know, I know all
- 15:52Speaker 6: my friends are going into the season of like having kids,
- 15:54Speaker 6: and that changes.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I mean it's like if you're pregnant, you can't.
- 15:57Speaker 6: Like like full you just like like you're uncomfortable, you know, so.
- 16:04Speaker 5: A feeling. No, I don't know the feeling. But like
- 16:06Speaker 5: I've already had conversations with Robby about this.
- 16:08Speaker 2: I think by the time the child comes, the future
- 16:12Speaker 2: child but as far as I know, is not with us.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Yet, correct, correct, I think that he or she will
- 16:20Speaker 6: be of an age where you will feel comfortable evening
- 16:22Speaker 6: about the time we have a wedding.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, And like I already told Robby, Like I'm like
- 16:26Speaker 1: I already had all these Tanya has already booked her flight.
- 16:29Speaker 7: Yeah, like I already childcare arranged already.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I've talked to you about this because I'm like,
- 16:35Speaker 1: we're starting after our honeymoon was like when we're like
- 16:37Speaker 1: actually starting, which is also a whole nother like trip
- 16:40Speaker 1: of like going from that shift in your mind of
- 16:44Speaker 1: like not having sex when it's like a risky time
- 16:47Speaker 1: to like having sex is just such a weird thing mentally,
- 16:52Speaker 1: But I've already had. We've been having these conversations because
- 16:56Speaker 1: right after you guys got engage, I was like having
- 16:58Speaker 1: all these thoughts and I was like, I just want
- 16:59Speaker 1: to Like I was like, to be there. I want
- 17:00Speaker 1: to be, like I want to be at everything with you,
- 17:03Speaker 1: Like I want to be in every dress thing. I
- 17:04Speaker 1: want to be, Like I just want to be as
- 17:07Speaker 1: involved as as do you want me to respectfully whatever
- 17:10Speaker 1: you want.
- 17:13Speaker 5: You don't want me at all the dress shopping.
- 17:15Speaker 2: It's like I don't have to be involved in everything.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Don't worry, okay, but like whatever you want.
- 17:20Speaker 1: But I was explaining to Robbie though, like I want
- 17:22Speaker 1: to make sure that I'm there for like every single thing.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I really want to hear about your honeymoon. Are we
- 17:27Speaker 2: able to like, yeah, we.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Can do that some other time.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I want to hear No, it's fresh. Oh well, he
- 17:34Speaker 2: was fading.
- 17:35Speaker 3: We can't keep her here for a bunch longer.
- 17:37Speaker 6: She'll be okay, okay, No, I just want to know,
- 17:44Speaker 6: Like it seemed like it was so special because I
- 17:46Speaker 6: know you were like you're you're you were kind of going,
- 17:49Speaker 6: what's different to honeymoon? Like it's been months since the wedding,
- 17:53Speaker 6: like how is it going to feel different?
- 17:54Speaker 2: But it felt like it did feel different.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It was so different from any trip we've ever taken.
- 17:59Speaker 1: And I think because like what's so funny is when
- 18:02Speaker 1: we first left, I was like doing the Monica Geller,
- 18:04Speaker 1: like we're on our honeymoon, Like.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Can we come into this? Can we get an upgrade?
- 18:07Speaker 5: Can we come into your lounge? No? No? No, Like
- 18:11Speaker 5: it was all like no. I was like damn, Like yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 5: nobody's you know.
- 18:15Speaker 7: That happened to me too. I try to work it
- 18:17Speaker 7: as much as I could.
- 18:18Speaker 1: But what's crazy is at our first hotel we were sharing,
- 18:23Speaker 1: we basically have like a it was like a pool,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and there was like two rooms next to us, and
- 18:26Speaker 1: we check in and I was like, is there any
- 18:28Speaker 1: way be an upgrade? Like happy to pay to have
- 18:31Speaker 1: like an ocean view or you know, it's our honeymoon,
- 18:33Speaker 1: so sorry, no space. There's like a ten year old
- 18:36Speaker 1: kid to the right of us. We're sharing a pool
- 18:38Speaker 1: with like this little girl laying out and I was like, Okay,
- 18:41Speaker 1: it's fine, this is grades our honeymoon whatever. Like I
- 18:43Speaker 1: was just like not letting anything like whatever. Those people
- 18:46Speaker 1: check out the next morning, and not a single person
- 18:49Speaker 1: checks into either room our entire stay. So because it's
- 18:52Speaker 1: not about I don't care about the size of our room.
- 18:54Speaker 1: We had the pool, a private pool for just us.
- 18:58Speaker 2: The whole is amazing cool.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Yeah, so it ended.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Up being like epic, But that wasn't even it. Like
- 19:05Speaker 1: the first part of our honeymoon was like very white lotus.
- 19:07Speaker 1: We like made friends with everybody at our hotel. We
- 19:11Speaker 1: saw them at every beach club. People were sending us
- 19:13Speaker 1: like cakes. Like Robbie got into like there was like
- 19:17Speaker 1: a girl woman there celebrating her sixtieth birthday with her
- 19:20Speaker 1: four daughters, and so of course I went over.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I was like, are you guys about to rep party?
- 19:25Speaker 5: Like no, it's our mom's sixty.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Talking to the girls about like la the mom like
- 19:32Speaker 1: newly divorced.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Her and Robbie like have this like moment where they're
- 19:37Speaker 5: like she's like crying. I'm like, what are you talking
- 19:39Speaker 5: this way about? Like sending us like cakes.
- 19:42Speaker 1: We met this other couple they like sent us caviard
- 19:45Speaker 1: or table we like it was. We just ended up
- 19:48Speaker 1: making friends with like everybody at our hotel, like exchanging instagrams.
- 19:52Speaker 5: Like it was like so cute and so fun.
- 19:54Speaker 1: And then the second part when we were in Willow
- 19:56Speaker 1: was like very private and romantic and like they triple
- 20:01Speaker 1: upgraded us, which I've never even heard in my life,
- 20:03Speaker 1: which was like then they came out and they're like,
- 20:05Speaker 1: we're doing to.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Triple upgrade you. I was like, I don't even.
- 20:08Speaker 5: Know what that means. It was great.
- 20:10Speaker 1: We had like a palace, which we didn't even need again,
- 20:13Speaker 1: like yeah, don't you just need like a nice bedroom
- 20:15Speaker 1: in a full length mirror and a nice bathroom.
- 20:19Speaker 3: But yeah, it was.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Like just so spectacular and like never have felt more
- 20:23Speaker 1: like connected, Like there was so much like sexual energy
- 20:28Speaker 1: to that was like so nice.
- 20:34Speaker 5: It was very rated PG I wouldn't say R.
- 20:40Speaker 2: But then he posted a book to balance it out.
- 20:42Speaker 6: I was like funny, yeah.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Well but there was.
- 20:49Speaker 3: It was like very like there was just like a
- 20:51Speaker 3: lot of like sexual.
- 20:54Speaker 5: Energy the whole trip. It was like amazing.
- 20:57Speaker 1: And then we watched our wedding video and we wrote
- 20:59Speaker 1: letters to ourselves for like our one year and our
- 21:01Speaker 1: five year wedding anniversary.
- 21:04Speaker 2: So it was really really special, very intentional.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Yeah I love it.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it looked amazing.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It was the best. My only complaint was I wish
- 21:12Speaker 1: would have been gone longer.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Me too, Me too? One week international.
- 21:17Speaker 8: It's not is if you can afford it, it's like
- 21:20Speaker 8: you need to go longer. We'd be on the plane
- 21:23Speaker 8: and people would be like, you're flying to MYERCA from
- 21:25Speaker 8: Los Angeles and you're only going to be there for
- 21:27Speaker 8: a week. And I felt like I was like, do
- 21:29Speaker 8: we need to extend our trip?
- 21:30Speaker 2: Everyone?
- 21:31Speaker 1: So, especially after like getting engaged, you were like in
- 21:35Speaker 1: this like you were in like a paradise, yeah, and
- 21:37Speaker 1: in your own bubble, right yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 2: And you kind of just want to like live in that.
- 21:40Speaker 2: And we had.
- 21:42Speaker 6: It was such a long trip, but it was actually
- 21:44Speaker 6: really getting home and getting to Phoebe and like knowing that's.
- 21:48Speaker 8: Where we're started building our paradise at home, which is
- 21:51Speaker 8: like important to put energy into.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of construction happening.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, like every everything can't last forever. It's true,
- 21:59Speaker 5: you know what I mean, It's got to end.
- 22:00Speaker 3: You gotta go home.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I kept telling myself.
- 22:03Speaker 6: I told her because she said she's like I don't
- 22:05Speaker 6: want to go, and I go, this is this is
- 22:07Speaker 6: why we're able to like go to these places and
- 22:09Speaker 6: appreciate it because we don't stay for too long.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but I could do like a couple more days
- 22:16Speaker 2: silver lining here.
- 22:17Speaker 7: But in both your cases you have to go back
- 22:19Speaker 7: to reality. But in both situations you return into reality
- 22:22Speaker 7: that is more beautiful than the reality you left.
- 22:26Speaker 1: What he kept saying, they don't cry, this is the
- 22:29Speaker 1: start of our lives, the end of our honeymoon.
- 22:32Speaker 8: I'm like, well, it's like that, what's that classic saying?
- 22:35Speaker 8: That's like building your paradise at home. So yeah, always
- 22:38Speaker 8: trying to get away, and it's like it's something that
- 22:40Speaker 8: you're proud of and that you want to be at.
- 22:42Speaker 5: You know you want to and it's true.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I feel like we all have those lives that we've
- 22:48Speaker 1: made for ourselves at home that we don't need to
- 22:51Speaker 1: get away.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's nice. It sure is nice. Nice to
- 22:56Speaker 5: get a nice crisp tank.
- 22:58Speaker 2: We took time.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Oh wow, I've never taken a helicopter in my life.
- 23:03Speaker 6: Scary, it's beautiful, but it is getting on is a
- 23:07Speaker 6: I felt scared and scared.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Pilot looked like a teenager. I was like, this guy's
- 23:12Speaker 1: flying our helicopter.
- 23:14Speaker 2: It was one of his test runs to pilot.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Pete from the back like his little brother.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Yes, but twelve.
- 23:22Speaker 7: I was like, okay, good, everything from fight Lessons is
- 23:26Speaker 7: still fresh in his brain.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 23:27Speaker 5: Yeah, Buddy got us there and it was good.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Blair Maples also is requesting a live podcast as a
- 23:34Speaker 7: bachelorette party, which I think is a great idea. I
- 23:36Speaker 7: don't make those decisions, but a lot of scrubbers have
- 23:38Speaker 7: mentioned doing a live show to celebrate this.
- 23:41Speaker 2: We have time to plan for that.
- 23:43Speaker 7: Indeed. Uh here's another intuitive listener, Katie Hall. Did Tanya
- 23:49Speaker 7: stop asking about it so much because she knew it
- 23:51Speaker 7: was coming? No, Robbie, she stopped asking so much. So
- 23:56Speaker 7: pretty goody good observation. Here was a dookie is back.
- 24:00Speaker 7: Remember her Invisible String is the Agars song? What Taylor
- 24:04Speaker 7: Swift song would Becca and Haley used to describe their
- 24:08Speaker 7: relationship and their engagement.
- 24:10Speaker 5: You gotta shake this one?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, maybe daylight?
- 24:16Speaker 6: Oh you know, it's like I used to I used
- 24:19Speaker 6: to believe love would be black and white, but it's.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Golden, beautiful. I have chills.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I love you are in love.
- 24:37Speaker 5: It's my time to show Welcome to the podcast.
- 24:46Speaker 7: Let's take a break and we'll do one more because
- 24:48Speaker 7: I got I have one is a really beautiful comment,
- 24:50Speaker 7: and one is a very insightful question.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Great insightful, and we're back question.
- 25:14Speaker 7: Mark question mark good one. Kelly Summers. I thought this
- 25:17Speaker 7: is a really beautiful question. If Becca could go back
- 25:20Speaker 7: and tell her younger self about this proposal, what would
- 25:23Speaker 7: she say? And then she gave six heart eye emojis,
- 25:27Speaker 7: Well six what age? First of all, what age are
- 25:33Speaker 7: you envisioning talking to you?
- 25:36Speaker 6: To be honest, I'm envisioning like young ishbeca like twenty one.
- 25:42Speaker 2: At that age pre Bachelor, pre Bachelor.
- 25:46Speaker 6: And the thing is is that it's so interesting because
- 25:49Speaker 6: I really would to change a single thing because sometimes
- 25:51Speaker 6: I think about how crazy it is that Haley and
- 25:54Speaker 6: I met. You know, you think about like how anyone,
- 25:57Speaker 6: I mean you think about how you met your person
- 25:59Speaker 6: and how all every choice that you just made like
- 26:02Speaker 6: that person. And I think about how Brittany, who's our
- 26:06Speaker 6: mutual friend who invited me to her party, I wouldn't
- 26:09Speaker 6: have met had I not gone on The Bachelor and
- 26:11Speaker 6: got invited to an iHeart event where she was one
- 26:14Speaker 6: of the handlers and became friends with her. You know,
- 26:16Speaker 6: it's just like all these things, and so I would
- 26:19Speaker 6: just tell her that life is going to be even
- 26:23Speaker 6: more beautiful and joyful and fulfilling than you could ever imagine.
- 26:43Speaker 8: It's just like it's just like we had a moment
- 26:47Speaker 8: when we were out there.
- 26:48Speaker 5: You were like, I cannot believe you said something like
- 26:52Speaker 5: that if you.
- 26:53Speaker 8: Were to tell me I was gonna be sitting here
- 26:55Speaker 8: with engage with a half Asian woman.
- 27:04Speaker 2: But I just was like, it is crazy.
- 27:07Speaker 6: Like I think about the person I was and like
- 27:09Speaker 6: and and how much like not to like be like,
- 27:13Speaker 6: oh I'm so brave, but think about like how many
- 27:16Speaker 6: it's like like things I had to unlearn to accept
- 27:22Speaker 6: myself and accept our love, you know, to be able
- 27:26Speaker 6: to share it and to even be ready and like
- 27:30Speaker 6: so excited to say yes to her. Like I think
- 27:32Speaker 6: about all the things that I had to do and
- 27:35Speaker 6: to the relationships that were challenged, you know, and how
- 27:43Speaker 6: I just knew. I I remember thinking, like going through
- 27:47Speaker 6: these hard moments, like I know that she's my end goal,
- 27:51Speaker 6: Like I know that everything that is hard is worth
- 27:54Speaker 6: it because it's her right. And so I think I
- 27:57Speaker 6: would just tell young Beca, like you have.
- 28:00Speaker 4: No idea what's coming, don't go to the farm in Iowa,
- 28:08Speaker 4: and unexpectingly she is right around the corner.
- 28:15Speaker 8: And I'm so impressed with Becca because she a lot
- 28:17Speaker 8: of people aren't open to like she when we met.
- 28:21Speaker 8: That was because I've you know, been through a lot
- 28:24Speaker 8: of different experiences, but like with Becca was different because
- 28:26Speaker 8: she was open, Like she was just open to being
- 28:30Speaker 8: open for something new and like not denying it.
- 28:35Speaker 5: Like when we met, it was just like instant and.
- 28:37Speaker 8: She just like, we'll figure it out later, but like
- 28:40Speaker 8: this is this is right.
- 28:42Speaker 5: And I'm not going to question that. And like that.
- 28:44Speaker 8: I think that that takes a lot of bravery and
- 28:46Speaker 8: courage for you know, her journey of going on the
- 28:49Speaker 8: Bachelor twice and thinking that her life was going to
- 28:52Speaker 8: be a certain way, for her to be courageous enough
- 28:56Speaker 8: to go, oh my gosh, is my life actually supposed
- 28:59Speaker 8: to be this, and like wanting to chase that and
- 29:02Speaker 8: like and go for that, and like she said, challenge
- 29:06Speaker 8: so many things like growing up in Louisiana, and they challenged.
- 29:09Speaker 5: So many things that she grew up thinking.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You know, it's like it's just so crazy because like
- 29:15Speaker 1: you say, like courageous and like for me looking like
- 29:19Speaker 1: looking in like it was. I just felt like it
- 29:21Speaker 1: was never there was never a doubt, you know what
- 29:23Speaker 1: I mean, Like it was just like so in you
- 29:26Speaker 1: and like you knew like there was this like even
- 29:29Speaker 1: though there was chaos, there was like this calm and
- 29:32Speaker 1: this piece inside you and that decision and like that
- 29:36Speaker 1: is so telling, you know what I mean, Like that
- 29:39Speaker 1: that calm and that piece, like that you found your home,
- 29:42Speaker 1: you know, and like I feel like that was very
- 29:44Speaker 1: evident from like the minute honestly, like after your first kiss.
- 29:49Speaker 1: As crazy as that sounds, like it was very much there.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 6: Yeah, we were watching The Queer Ultimatum and it's that show. Yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 6: it's the Ultimat on Netflix, you know, the ultimatum.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Get married or like yeah.
- 30:06Speaker 6: Like someone in the relationship is ready to get married
- 30:08Speaker 6: and that the bridge is not. And our friend Taylor
- 30:12Speaker 6: was with us watching and so two of the girls
- 30:15Speaker 6: said I love you after spending like three weeks together,
- 30:18Speaker 6: and She's like, oh my god, this is so dumb,
- 30:21Speaker 6: and they're like, yeah, that was us.
- 30:24Speaker 2: It happens quick, It happens quick.
- 30:28Speaker 5: So crazy.
- 30:29Speaker 7: Yeah, all right, one more quick one, Carla Lopez, did
- 30:32Speaker 7: you know Haley at Tanya's wedding that you would be
- 30:35Speaker 7: proposing soon. Yeah, yeah, there you go.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Yeah sure did one was your wedding March? Oh yeah,
- 30:44Speaker 5: oh yeah, that's crazy.
- 30:47Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean last year was like when you knew
- 30:50Speaker 8: here we go like I'm gonna have to figure this out.
- 30:53Speaker 5: But it's also like how do you do it?
- 30:55Speaker 8: Like how do you There's no rule, there's not you
- 30:57Speaker 8: can't just like how do you do that?
- 31:00Speaker 2: How does one get a ring?
- 31:03Speaker 5: How does one surprise or how does like get a.
- 31:07Speaker 8: Like I was the most intimidated by the photographer part
- 31:10Speaker 8: because I'm like, I'm going to New yorka like I
- 31:11Speaker 8: don't know anyone in Marriorica, Like how how is that
- 31:13Speaker 8: gonna happen? So it just felt like the universe everything
- 31:17Speaker 8: was meant to be because y K was there.
- 31:20Speaker 5: He like, he's such an amazing friend. He didn't even question.
- 31:23Speaker 8: He's like I'm there, like I need to be there
- 31:26Speaker 8: to capture this moment.
- 31:27Speaker 5: And as you've seen, the photos are.
- 31:29Speaker 8: Just like insane cinematic, like crazy.
- 31:33Speaker 5: So I'm so grateful for him.
- 31:34Speaker 7: I love the rock with the tissue. That's such a
- 31:36Speaker 7: great Yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I hope at some point you post the photo with
- 31:41Speaker 1: like your stick figure drawings.
- 31:42Speaker 5: So yeah, I know I'm.
- 31:43Speaker 8: Going to post the evolution of my twice stick for
- 31:46Speaker 8: your drawing. Yeah, the plan's like the whole storyboard of it.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Okay, good because it's just too good.
- 31:52Speaker 5: It's like full type A.
- 31:55Speaker 7: Let's wrap it up with this one him channing Baylor,
- 31:58Speaker 7: She says, Mark, can you just tell tell her how
- 32:00Speaker 7: excited we are for them. Beca helped me feel safe
- 32:03Speaker 7: coming out to my friends and family. Also, we need
- 32:06Speaker 7: another live show tour. Twenty twenty was too long ago.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Well, we just ago too out before global pandemic.
- 32:17Speaker 5: Yeah, we have a wedding to plan now.
- 32:21Speaker 6: No, we always talk about wanting to do another live show.
- 32:24Speaker 6: So fun It was so funny because Haley was in
- 32:26Speaker 6: the audience for them, but for the ninety five p Yeah,
- 32:30Speaker 6: oh thank you.
- 32:32Speaker 2: That's such pe That's so sweet, thank you, so sweet.
- 32:36Speaker 1: I'm so excited for you guys, thank you. I'm excited
- 32:39Speaker 1: just to see the outpouring of love. You're going to
- 32:43Speaker 1: just like feel so many things in this next phase.
- 32:48Speaker 1: And I just want you to know that like I'm
- 32:51Speaker 1: here and for whatever you need, And I want to
- 32:55Speaker 1: make this the most special time of your lives, and
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm just really really happy for you both, but especially Becay.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Like I was like worried about you at one point
- 33:07Speaker 1: because I was like before you met Haley, obviously, and
- 33:10Speaker 1: I was like, is she ever gonna like find love
- 33:13Speaker 1: or like feel love and like the way that you
- 33:17Speaker 1: feel about Haley and with Haley, And it's like everything
- 33:22Speaker 1: you ever want for your best friend. And like, I'm
- 33:24Speaker 1: just so so happy for you.
- 33:27Speaker 2: We love you so much.
- 33:29Speaker 5: Should we do another one last cheers?
- 33:31Speaker 3: Wrap it up? Let Haley go have some.
- 33:36Speaker 5: I'm thinking about what I'm gonna do with.
- 33:39Speaker 2: One last time.
- 33:40Speaker 5: For our newly engaged couple. Thank you so much for
- 33:47Speaker 5: having me. This was so special to get to share
- 33:49Speaker 5: it with all of you
