  Hey. So I just wanted to kind of

  quickly highlight as we wrap up tonight, we've had some amazing

  coaches. We kind of started on the Drake

  Relays and a little bit ended on the Drake Relays with Mike.

  Jay was here, but we what you think that we do here.

  We have just some amazing teammates here and this is kind

  of I don't want to belittle this Scott and save my right hand

  man. But what I mean by that is this

  is the guy who really does it all to be real Frank with you,

  Scott Phelps here oversees our sales team for our Gill stock
• 1:34
  divisions, all the pits, polls, hurdles and implements, things
• 1:36
  like that. So Scott, introduce yourself and

  I'm just going to ask you a couple fun questions.

  Man. Yeah, my name is Scott Phelps.
• 1:42
  I've worked at Gill going on five years now, was a coach for
• 1:46
  eight years at the college level and started as a sales Rep and
• 1:50
  now kind of have a hand in everything at Gill.
• 1:53
  He runs the show. Let's not be too.
• 1:55
  He won't say that, but I will and I can't.
• 1:57
  And you were a really good. And I can say that because you
• 2:00
  know what? We are half miler from the
• 2:02
  University of Illinois and you're from the area and you
• 2:05
  went and coached at places like Dartmouth and Northeastern and
• 2:08
  Texas. What did it mean?
• 2:10
  And you know, as you were coming out of coaching and moving, you
• 2:13
  got the chance to not only move back to home home base, but you
• 2:17
  got to stay in track and field. Was how much of A draw was that
• 2:20
  for you? Or was it just like?
• 2:21
  I mean, I just needed a job. There's a little bit of that.
• 2:24
  There's definitely a pole back to central Illinois, but staying
• 2:29
  in the sport was big. I mean, I still, I'm always
• 2:31
  going to follow track and running and things like that.
• 2:34
  And so it was nice to have somebody you know to work at a
• 2:37
  place where I can. Talk about track.
• 2:39
  And people knew what I was talking about.
• 2:41
  No one shunned you. It's like, yeah, keep talking.
• 2:42
  Why don't you talk more? Actually, that's awesome, man.

  Well, I love it, man. You know, Scott, you bring a

  whole different set of positives and advantages to our team, man.

  I'm just so thankful for you being on our team.

  forward to in the 2023 track and field season?

  Yeah, well, I think everybody remembers where they were.

  When kind of COVID first happened, unfortunately, yes,

  and. I was at Ncaa's in Albuquerque
• 4:00
  at the national Championships and they are back in Albuquerque
• 4:04
  this March and so I am looking forward to actually having
• 4:07
  Ncaa's at Albuquerque full circle.

  Yeah, that's what I'm looking forward to.

  I did not. Even I didn't.

  That's true. Because we were there on the
• 4:14
  Tuesday and Wednesday. It's like, man, we're going to
• 4:15
  have Division One. Let's go.

  Let's rock it. OK.

  Pack your stuff up and go home. And what?

  And then just, you know, just kept getting that.

  I'm looking forward to that too, man.
