- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven, or boy, the Mark Simon Show starts.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Now, well, hey it's rating, but that's okay.
- 0:13Speaker 3: You need this to wash that snow away.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And then it's gonna be a very warm weekend and
- 0:18Speaker 2: that's the end of winter.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Spring begins in sixteen.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Days this weekend, daylight saving time, Baseball starts in a
- 0:25Speaker 2: couple of weeks. It's gonna be a spring before you
- 0:28Speaker 2: know it. Hey, we got a lot to get to.
- 0:30Speaker 2: We'll get to President Trump ran, We'll get looks like
- 0:33Speaker 2: Christy no, maybe out. We'll get to that. We'll get
- 0:36Speaker 2: to that silly little Tim Waltz. We'll get to oil
- 0:38Speaker 2: gas prices, we'll get to low Holtz and a whole
- 0:43Speaker 2: lot more coming up. So, now here's the latest on
- 0:46Speaker 2: the war. You got the fake news doing their fake coverage. Now,
- 0:50Speaker 2: what they do in fake news, and Democrats collude with them,
- 0:55Speaker 2: they always create a false narrative and just drill that
- 1:00Speaker 2: into your head. Now, two false narratives going on. If
- 1:04Speaker 2: you watch, for instance, ABC News last night David Muir,
- 1:08Speaker 2: you'd come away with the impression of this war is
- 1:11Speaker 2: a disaster. We're losing, it's over, we're wiped out. We're
- 1:14Speaker 2: not doing well, this has got to be in the
- 1:17Speaker 2: first we're in day six now, in the first six days,
- 1:20Speaker 2: it's got to be the most successful war ever in
- 1:23Speaker 2: history militarily. I mean as far as how much we've
- 1:26Speaker 2: taken out, how much we've wiped out, how much we've
- 1:30Speaker 2: been hit in return, the most successful war in history.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Now a lot of that is because the technology is
- 1:37Speaker 2: so improved over the last few years. We're using all
- 1:40Speaker 2: kinds of laser weapons that haven't been used before that
- 1:44Speaker 2: are absolutely amazing. We're able to take out missiles. Some
- 1:47Speaker 2: of this weaponry is so sophisticated and involves all sorts
- 1:52Speaker 2: of systems with satellites and lasers that can, as soon
- 1:55Speaker 2: as the missiles launch, can track its path take it
- 1:58Speaker 2: out immediately. So we've already hit seventeen hundred targets. Over
- 2:04Speaker 2: two hundred of Iran's ballistic missile launchers have been destroyed.
- 2:08Speaker 2: That's more than half of what the nation possessed. They
- 2:11Speaker 2: used to be able to fire fifty missiles at a time.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Now it's two or three and that's it.
- 2:19Speaker 3: That's it. So we're doing very well.
- 2:20Speaker 2: If you were watching the ABC News last night or
- 2:24Speaker 2: most of the media, you've come away with the oppression
- 2:26Speaker 2: that it's a mess. We're in real trouble. We're losing
- 2:30Speaker 2: the other false narrative, and this is the one that
- 2:33Speaker 2: keep drilling in everybody's heads. The President's messaging is terrible.
- 2:37Speaker 2: He is never not yet, he's not spoken of the nation.
- 2:41Speaker 2: He's not explained what we're doing there or the purpose
- 2:45Speaker 2: of that. He hasn't explained why we're There's not anybody,
- 2:50Speaker 2: there's no normal person that can't figure out why we're there.
- 2:53Speaker 2: There's nothing that needs to be explained. You've got an
- 2:56Speaker 2: absolute lunatic running a country, the biggest sponsor of terrorism
- 3:02Speaker 2: in the world, the guy who has been after the
- 3:06Speaker 2: US for forty seven years. Everybody can figure out what
- 3:08Speaker 2: we're doing there. This is no great mystery. No, but
- 3:11Speaker 2: there's no normal America gun Iran. Would we go to
- 3:16Speaker 2: war with a rant? Why would we want to get
- 3:19Speaker 2: rid of the guy? I told there's nobody saying that,
- 3:21Speaker 2: there's nothing that needs to be explained, But this is
- 3:24Speaker 2: what they'll keep saying. Then you got the problem with
- 3:26Speaker 2: the Democrats right now. Your leaders in Congress are not
- 3:30Speaker 2: the brightest or most articulate people. You got that Hakim
- 3:34Speaker 2: Jeffreys who looks like a very low iq sort of
- 3:37Speaker 2: a robot, you know, with those robot eyes and those
- 3:40Speaker 2: robot voice, and he's not very effective. But here he
- 3:43Speaker 2: is just going after the president.
- 3:45Speaker 4: The president who said just several months ago, in June
- 3:50Speaker 4: of last year, that Iran's nuclear program had been completely
- 3:55Speaker 4: and totally obliterated. That's the president's words. He lied to
- 4:00Speaker 4: us then, or was he lying now?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yes, again, he's not that bright, this guy. He's just
- 4:06Speaker 2: I'm sure he's a nice guy. He's just not very bright. Well,
- 4:08Speaker 2: yet it was completely obliterated, and then they started rebuilding,
- 4:13Speaker 2: they started acquiring the chemicals and the stuff they needed
- 4:17Speaker 2: and uranium, and they were trying to restart it. I mean,
- 4:20Speaker 2: it's not that hard to figure out. But he thinks
- 4:23Speaker 2: you're stupid. He thinks we're all stupid, and so now
- 4:26Speaker 2: they're going to vote for this war powers actor. You know,
- 4:30Speaker 2: the president has total authority to do this. He's got
- 4:33Speaker 2: sixty days that he can do this without ever going
- 4:36Speaker 2: to Congress. And if there's no boots in the ground,
- 4:38Speaker 2: he never has to go to Congress. It's been done
- 4:40Speaker 2: a million times. We haven't gone to Congress to get
- 4:43Speaker 2: war declared in about eighty years. It's just never done.
- 4:47Speaker 2: There's no reason for it. So it's all a myth
- 4:50Speaker 2: that they've made up. And this Chuck Schumer, you know what,
- 4:52Speaker 2: the glass is all fogging up and very serious and
- 4:56Speaker 2: pompous about this.
- 4:57Speaker 5: Today the Senate will vote to discharge it by partisan
- 5:00Speaker 5: resolution led by Senators Kane, shift Paul and myself, to
- 5:05Speaker 5: put a halt to military activity in Iran without congressional approval.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yes, they are very somber, very serious. They are going
- 5:14Speaker 2: to vote. Nobody's going to pay any attention to their vote.
- 5:17Speaker 2: It means absolutely nothing, you know, It's like, this is
- 5:19Speaker 2: a story today. You might have seen this on the news.
- 5:23Speaker 2: The International Trade Court has ruled that the president must
- 5:27Speaker 2: repay the terror off money. And you'll hear these newscasters say,
- 5:32Speaker 2: blockbuster ruling. The International Trade Court has ruled the President
- 5:38Speaker 2: must return all the terraff. This International Trade Court is
- 5:42Speaker 2: some little dinky court that has absolutely no authority over anything.
- 5:46Speaker 2: They mean, absolutely nothing. Nobody's ever heard of this International
- 5:50Speaker 2: Trade Court. This will be overturned by five o'clock today.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Absolutely guaranteed. They have no authority to rule on anything.
- 5:57Speaker 2: But they never tell you that the news reports, But
- 6:00Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer, he is very serious.
- 6:02Speaker 5: To Americans overwhelmingly opposed war with Iran and Senate Republicans.
- 6:08Speaker 2: First of all, latest polling it's about fifty to fifty.
- 6:11Speaker 2: So you're absolutely lying about.
- 6:12Speaker 5: That duty to stand up for Americans by forcing Donald
- 6:16Speaker 5: Trump to reverse course.
- 6:20Speaker 2: So now what he's purposed reverse course, They're gonna have
- 6:24Speaker 2: to pull out of Iran, rebuild it, put everybody back.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I guess they'll have to somehow revive the Iaotola somehow.
- 6:34Speaker 2: By the way, there's another Iatola. He's the foreign minister.
- 6:37Speaker 2: He has demanded what did he say? We are We're
- 6:41Speaker 2: going to go after Trump's blood. The Iatola calls for
- 6:45Speaker 2: Trump's blood. You know, I don't know why he wanted
- 6:49Speaker 2: this job. You know, he had a great life in
- 6:50Speaker 2: New York, great life in Palm Beach. Now he's wiping
- 6:54Speaker 2: out Iran. Got Iatola's calling for his blood? Whoa who
- 6:57Speaker 2: needs this? But thank god he's tough enough to do it.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Is there any Democrat with any common sense, any normal Democrat,
- 7:05Speaker 2: believe it or not. I don't know how this happened,
- 7:07Speaker 2: but Fetterman is the voice of reason.
- 7:09Speaker 6: As a Democrat they're afraid to just agree with Trump
- 7:12Speaker 6: on anything anything at this point, and now, hey, I'm
- 7:16Speaker 6: going to agree with that. I'm always going to pick
- 7:18Speaker 6: my country over at my party, and I'm always going
- 7:22Speaker 6: to acknowledge when the good things happen.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, Aatola is the Hitler of today. He's a murdering
- 7:28Speaker 2: guy trying to wipe out the Jews. That's one reason
- 7:30Speaker 2: the Democrats hate this. It's removed the biggest threat to
- 7:33Speaker 2: Israel in the world. Democrats don't like that. It's much
- 7:38Speaker 2: better for Israel. That's really really bothering Democrats. And then
- 7:41Speaker 2: you got this awful Chris Murphy, this whack job of connecticuts.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Oil prices up by nine percent, gasoline prices their largest
- 7:51Speaker 7: one day increase in twenty years, natural gas prices up
- 7:55Speaker 7: forty five percent. The region is in chaos. Consumers are
- 8:01Speaker 7: paying the price and for what. We still don't even
- 8:05Speaker 7: know the reason for this war.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah, he can't figure it out.
- 8:07Speaker 2: To take out the most evil, brutal dictator in the world,
- 8:10Speaker 2: who's the biggest pusher a sponsor of terrorism. You can't
- 8:13Speaker 2: figure out why we go Why would you go after
- 8:15Speaker 2: a guy like that? Now that he's right about these
- 8:17Speaker 2: gas and oil prices. There is a spike. It's a
- 8:20Speaker 2: temporary spike. We've had them many times. The spike will
- 8:23Speaker 2: last a few weeks. Now the President is proposed getting
- 8:28Speaker 2: rid of that spike, even in the middle of the war.
- 8:30Speaker 2: You can remove the spike by removing the gas taxes.
- 8:34Speaker 2: During this brief period where there's a spike, the gas
- 8:37Speaker 2: tax holiday, the government will stop the gas tax, which
- 8:40Speaker 2: you put the price right back to normal. Now watch
- 8:43Speaker 2: he's proposing this. Now watch the Democrats will block it.
- 8:47Speaker 2: You could get the price right back to normal. Democrats
- 8:50Speaker 2: will block it. Now the're yelling and screaming this guy
- 8:53Speaker 2: and all the rest of them about that do something
- 8:55Speaker 2: about the gas prices, the oil prices. They'll block it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: When it comes time to fix it. Democrats always promising,
- 9:01Speaker 2: always talking, when it comes to actually fixing something. When
- 9:05Speaker 2: have you ever seen that, whether it's going to close
- 9:08Speaker 2: the border, we're gonna do something about the homeless, whatever,
- 9:11Speaker 2: they're ever promising. When have you ever seen him actually
- 9:15Speaker 2: fix anything. So they're out in the street protesting. Now,
- 9:18Speaker 2: think about this, Think about the logic of this. These
- 9:21Speaker 2: Democrats are out in the street protesting that we went
- 9:25Speaker 2: after and ran in the actual they're protesting getting rid
- 9:30Speaker 2: of a guy who spent the last thirty years murdering protesters.
- 9:34Speaker 2: All he does is murder protesters, and they're protesting his removal.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Think about that for a minute. So oil gas prices again,
- 9:43Speaker 2: big spike. It'll come down, President Trump.
- 9:47Speaker 8: Yesterday, they're attacking their neighbors. They're attacking there in some
- 9:51Speaker 8: cases allies or not so long ago allies. And you know,
- 9:56Speaker 8: it's surely a nation that was out of control, and
- 9:58Speaker 8: they would have used it on if we let them.
- 10:01Speaker 3: We waited any longer. Yeah, Hey, check out my Twitter.
- 10:03Speaker 3: It's a funny. Uh.
- 10:05Speaker 2: We got Rachel Maddow twenty twenty five screaming that President
- 10:09Speaker 2: Trump is doing nothing about Iran and that he's going
- 10:12Speaker 2: to wait till they have a nuclear bomb and it's
- 10:14Speaker 2: too late and that's insane. Now he goes after Iran
- 10:19Speaker 2: and it's her in twenty twenty sixth and why would
- 10:22Speaker 2: we go after Iran?
- 10:23Speaker 8: Somebody said, on a scale of ten, where would you're ready?
- 10:25Speaker 8: I said about a fifteen.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yeah, we're doing well.
- 10:27Speaker 8: Somebody said, on a scale of ten, where would you're ready?
- 10:30Speaker 8: I said about a fifteen? And we're going to continue
- 10:34Speaker 8: to do. We have the greatest military in the world
- 10:37Speaker 8: by far.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 2: So now to get the other people think, get the
- 10:41Speaker 2: oil flowing, you have to get those tankers moving through
- 10:43Speaker 2: the Straits of Hormuz. Now, the problem is it's dangerous
- 10:46Speaker 2: and nobody will insure these tankers. That's the other thing
- 10:49Speaker 2: they're working on. Maybe the government will somehow put together
- 10:52Speaker 2: some insurance, and of course the Navy escort, but insurance
- 10:56Speaker 2: from the government. That way they can start moving again.
- 10:58Speaker 9: Caroline Levett, I don't want to commit to a timeline,
- 11:01Speaker 9: but certainly it's something that is being calculated actively by
- 11:04Speaker 9: both the Department of War and the Department of Energy.
- 11:07Speaker 9: They're working very closely. Both secretaries are in all of
- 11:10Speaker 9: the briefings on this subject with the President, and this
- 11:13Speaker 9: is again something they're monitoring and if and when necessary,
- 11:18Speaker 9: the United States Navy will provide assistance to escort oil
- 11:20Speaker 9: tankers through the strait.
- 11:22Speaker 2: So hey, even Conda Lisa Rice a real Bushy. You know,
- 11:25Speaker 2: the bush people tend to hate anything about President Trump.
- 11:28Speaker 2: But even Conda Lisa Rice urging President Trump keep going
- 11:33Speaker 2: render them incapable, take care of Iran for good. She said,
- 11:36Speaker 2: We've been waiting for this for forty seven years. Nobody
- 11:41Speaker 2: caused more casualties for us, even and she points out
- 11:44Speaker 2: even in Iraq. Most of our casualties in Iraq were
- 11:46Speaker 2: because of Iran. It was their homemade Iranian roadside bombs
- 11:52Speaker 2: that were going after our troops. Hey, we lost a great,
- 11:55Speaker 2: great American, a great figure. Lou Holtz. Notre Dame coach
- 12:00Speaker 2: Lou Holtz passed away yesterday. A what a coach.
- 12:02Speaker 10: Not Dame football is bigger than you as a player.
- 12:06Speaker 10: You came here for a cause, and our cause is
- 12:10Speaker 10: to be the very best. You don't come to not
- 12:12Speaker 10: Dame to win most of them some of them. You
- 12:15Speaker 10: come to Nor Dame to win all of them.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yeah, he was a wonderful guy.
- 12:18Speaker 10: You're not playing for your teammate totally. You're not playing
- 12:22Speaker 10: for your coach. You're playing for the millions of people
- 12:26Speaker 10: to live and die with Notre Dame football.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Hey, Notre Dame people go crazy over Notre Dame football.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Anybody went to Notre Dame, They just go crazy watching
- 12:36Speaker 2: those football And Hey, I think this is Joe Namath
- 12:38Speaker 2: on ESPN.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I think his legacy. Kevin is one of the greatest
- 12:41Speaker 1: coaches ever walk the sideline. I mean, every place he
- 12:44Speaker 1: went he immediately made better. I think he'll just always
- 12:47Speaker 1: be remembered as someone who loved Notre Dame more than
- 12:51Speaker 1: anyone could possibly love anything else in this life.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Hey, do you remember, uh, the that Keith Oberman. You
- 13:01Speaker 2: remember that crazy lunatic that was on MSNBC, That angry, bitter,
- 13:06Speaker 2: crazy lunatic Keith Oberman. So he's getting a lot of
- 13:09Speaker 2: flat because yesterday, after this happened, he tweeted out Lou Holtz,
- 13:14Speaker 2: legendary scumbag. Everybody went crazy on Twitter, and he tweeted
- 13:20Speaker 2: it out again. Yes, scumbag. Now I've been explaining this
- 13:24Speaker 2: to you people that have been fired and shunned and
- 13:28Speaker 2: are now total outcasts, like Tucker Carlson. They're Megan Kelly
- 13:33Speaker 2: or who else, the Candae Owens or this Keith Oberman.
- 13:38Speaker 2: They say these crazy things, these outrageous things, because they're
- 13:42Speaker 2: not on anywhere, They're not on a big network. They
- 13:44Speaker 2: lost their jobs. They can't get a big job as
- 13:47Speaker 2: a talk show host anywhere. So they're doing shows out
- 13:50Speaker 2: of their living room, basically out of their bedroom. So
- 13:53Speaker 2: they're just trying to say outrageous things just to get covered.
- 13:56Speaker 2: That's the only way they have to get an audience.
- 13:58Speaker 2: You know, if you're not doing well, you just you
- 14:00Speaker 2: just keep hitting the line or trying to cross the line.
- 14:02Speaker 2: You just try to be outrageous. It's just a way
- 14:06Speaker 2: of screaming to get attention. You know when you see
- 14:09Speaker 2: at a mentally ill nut on the corner, just screaming
- 14:13Speaker 2: like a maniac just to get attention. So that's Megan Kelly.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Now that's Tucker Carlson, that's Keith Oberman, that's all of
- 14:21Speaker 2: these people. Hey, we'll take some calls in a minute.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 14:27Speaker 2: the number. Oh I forgot Christy nom she's getting towards
- 14:32Speaker 2: the end now of being in the cabinet as Secretary
- 14:36Speaker 2: of Homelands Department of Homeland Security. She's on the way out.
- 14:41Speaker 2: She had to testify yesterday. Now she's got that Corey
- 14:46Speaker 2: Lewandowski with her, who used to be with Trump and
- 14:48Speaker 2: then he had to get tossed off the campaign and
- 14:51Speaker 2: out of Trump world. But he's with her and they've
- 14:54Speaker 2: been apparently carrying on this massive affair. She's testifying in
- 14:58Speaker 2: Congress yesterday and they even asked her about this affair.
- 15:02Speaker 2: She wouldn't answer it. She refuse to directly answer when
- 15:06Speaker 2: asked if she's having sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski, she
- 15:11Speaker 2: called the question garbage. She said, I am shocked that
- 15:13Speaker 2: we're going down this road and peddling tabloid garbage. And
- 15:17Speaker 2: they kept asking. She kept saying, this question is garbage,
- 15:21Speaker 2: and another senator, Democrat, said, you know, I really think
- 15:25Speaker 2: you need to say the word no into the record
- 15:28Speaker 2: and clear this up. And she still wouldn't answer. She said, well,
- 15:31Speaker 2: this is what you do the liberal left. You say
- 15:33Speaker 2: conservative women are stupid or sluts. I am neither. Well
- 15:38Speaker 2: we can a little debate that another time. Now she
- 15:40Speaker 2: just refused to answer. And this is a problem. It's embarrassing.
- 15:46Speaker 2: But they're both married, by the way, Christy Noman, Corey Lewundwski.
- 15:49Speaker 2: But the other problem is she spent two hundred and
- 15:52Speaker 2: twenty million of taxpayer money to run commercials supposedly to
- 15:57Speaker 2: promote things for the Department of Homeland Security, but the
- 16:00Speaker 2: commercials all seemed to feature her all about her big
- 16:06Speaker 2: you know her on camera, her with a cowboy hat,
- 16:08Speaker 2: all this stuff, And she was asked about this, and
- 16:12Speaker 2: she said, well, the President told me to get the
- 16:15Speaker 2: message out. But then they got really specific. Did you
- 16:19Speaker 2: get clearance to spend all this money two hundred and
- 16:21Speaker 2: twenty million on commercials with yourself in it? And she said,
- 16:24Speaker 2: I ran it by the lawyers. I ran it by
- 16:26Speaker 2: legal this. But then they said, did you run it
- 16:29Speaker 2: by the president? She said yes. That's the word that's
- 16:33Speaker 2: getting her fired. And the President already talking about it.
- 16:36Speaker 2: He did not know about it. He doesn't want her
- 16:38Speaker 2: saying that he approved this because he didn't. So she's
- 16:42Speaker 2: probably on her way out. He's talking about what's his name,
- 16:46Speaker 2: Mark Wayne Mullins, the senator as the Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 16:51Speaker 2: So look for that to happen. Anyway, we'll take some
- 16:54Speaker 2: calls in a minute eight hundred three two one zero
- 16:58Speaker 2: seven to ten. Hey, you know we're host in that
- 17:00Speaker 2: big business networking event. A lot of CEOs, business leaders,
- 17:04Speaker 2: corporate leaders, and a lot of our listeners will be there.
- 17:08Speaker 2: But if you want to come now, space is very limited.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But if you want to come, it's March nineteenth, like
- 17:14Speaker 2: two weeks from now, March nineteenth, six to eight pm.
- 17:16Speaker 2: There's this great new office building, two Park Avenue, Park Avenue,
- 17:21Speaker 2: thirty fourth Street, and it's got a beautiful venue on
- 17:25Speaker 2: the top. You want to do a corporate vent or something,
- 17:27Speaker 2: it's a beautiful venue with great views, beautiful outdoor terrace.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So we're going to do it. There.
- 17:31Speaker 2: A lot of business leaders, business owners, CEOs. If you
- 17:35Speaker 2: want to network, meet a lot of people. I'll be there,
- 17:38Speaker 2: Larry MENTI will be there, Curtis Leewell will be there.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So it's a great, great opportunity to meet a lot
- 17:43Speaker 2: of people. March nineteenth, six to eight pm. Space very limited,
- 17:47Speaker 2: but if you want to attend, you got an RSVP.
