- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you. Thank you for listening to us.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ryan Air on.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Air with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Misindependent on LAS number one at music station. Good morning.
- 0:14Speaker 3: It's Ryan Seacrest, Systeed, some Fia, Ruby, Malaya and Mikayla
- 0:20Speaker 3: and that's it in mark of course. Yes, So this
- 0:23Speaker 3: is it. I do like getting into the detail of
- 0:26Speaker 3: the last day of school for everybody. So Sentinella Valley
- 0:31Speaker 3: Union High School District, this is it. You did it,
- 0:35Speaker 3: you got through it, checked the box. Another year down,
- 0:40Speaker 3: another year finished complete. Now the freedom sets in so liberating.
- 0:46Speaker 4: All right.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Next one East Side Union School District, Lancaster Garvey Unified,
- 0:51Speaker 3: Las Virgins Unified la.
- 0:54Speaker 1: USD is out.
- 0:55Speaker 3: That is three hundred and fifty three thousand students, second
- 1:01Speaker 3: largest student population for high schools in America. Yeah, but
- 1:05Speaker 3: you did it, you got through it. Love it so exciting.
- 1:09Speaker 3: And now summer is here at Pools Crushes late nights.
- 1:14Speaker 5: Yeah, streaming Love Island, summer nights.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Whatever you want to do, you can do it summer nights.
- 1:23Speaker 1: That's right. Now here we go.
- 1:26Speaker 6: I thought about you last night.
- 1:27Speaker 1: By the way, well I want to hear all about it.
- 1:30Speaker 6: Because I got up to use the restroom twice in
- 1:32Speaker 6: the middle of the night.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Like, how does Ryan do this?
- 1:35Speaker 4: How does Ryan do this? Every single night? It was
- 1:38Speaker 4: so disruptive.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Well, you know, you lay there until it's so painful
- 1:44Speaker 3: and you just get up and go. And two nights ago,
- 1:46Speaker 3: I put George's dog bowl in the path to the
- 1:48Speaker 3: bathroom and I stepped right in the dog bowl spilled
- 1:51Speaker 3: it toll over the place, and then I had a
- 1:54Speaker 3: real decision to make Can I clean it up?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Do I clean it up?
- 1:58Speaker 3: It's gonna take It's gonna wake me up because I
- 2:00Speaker 3: and sleep while I go to the bathroom.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah, eyes closed, Do.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I clean it up? Will be fine in the morning.
- 2:05Speaker 3: It's water, should be fine in the morning. So I
- 2:07Speaker 3: got back in bed and decided I need to get
- 2:10Speaker 3: back out of bed to clean it up. Otherwise it's
- 2:11Speaker 3: going to stain something. Yeah, so don't put things in
- 2:15Speaker 3: the path. But I'm very happy to hear that you're
- 2:18Speaker 3: at this stage now.
- 2:19Speaker 7: No.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I like woke up and it was ten pm and
- 2:21Speaker 4: I was like, whoa, I have so much more sleep ahead.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Oh that's exciting.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Second time I woke up it was twelve forty five
- 2:27Speaker 4: and I was like, wow, I still have a lot
- 2:28Speaker 4: of more sleep ahead of you.
- 2:29Speaker 6: But it was really like such a.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I told you not to look at a clock, like
- 2:34Speaker 3: put the clock away. That even when it's that exciting,
- 2:37Speaker 3: it's a problem gets in your head and you lose
- 2:39Speaker 3: sleep over that. But anyway, be careful, sistany are you
- 2:43Speaker 3: making a like a routine ly or routine bathroom trip
- 2:47Speaker 3: in the night.
- 2:47Speaker 8: No, I sleep through the night, but I do snooze,
- 2:50Speaker 8: so I wake up earlier, probably like an hour before
- 2:53Speaker 8: I actually get out of bed, and I snooze like
- 2:55Speaker 8: five times.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Rudal.
- 2:57Speaker 3: I actually will say that I subscribe to waking up
- 3:00Speaker 3: much earlier than I have to have to to be
- 3:02Speaker 3: somewhere because I like to have my one hour of coffee.
- 3:05Speaker 5: But you actually get out of your bed. I don't
- 3:06Speaker 5: get out of my bed.
- 3:07Speaker 8: Yeah, oh you stayed there, I says, for like eight
- 3:09Speaker 8: more minutes, And I'm like, who eight mont sense?
- 3:12Speaker 4: Because you could have had eight more minutes into your
- 3:15Speaker 4: uninterrupted sleep.
- 3:16Speaker 5: But I still sleep.
- 3:18Speaker 8: I know.
- 3:19Speaker 3: I'm glad I don't sleep near each other. That's what
- 3:21Speaker 3: my conclusion is, all right, Sunshine warm today eighties nineties Inland,
- 3:25Speaker 3: we got free gas coming up next this is kiss.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Chewy also is in Monrovia surprising you with free gas.
- 3:32Speaker 3: So if you're there stand by kiss Seacrest here with
- 3:35Speaker 3: Disneyland tickets coming up in just a second. Now, you
- 3:38Speaker 3: should know that Chewy is out with free gas in Monrovia.
- 3:41Speaker 3: We're about to check in with him. You're just gonna
- 3:44Speaker 3: pop into a random gas station. But if you're in
- 3:46Speaker 3: Monrovia this morning, getting it done, filling up your tank,
- 3:49Speaker 3: he may buy it. Sisiny thinks she has termites. This
- 3:53Speaker 3: is not uncommon. I have had to tent before.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Well that's what I want to avoid, being that.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It's a disaster and it's not cheap to tent the house.
- 4:03Speaker 8: Oh that's given me like chills even thinking about it.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So what happened? What do you see? How do you
- 4:09Speaker 1: know it's termites or not?
- 4:10Speaker 8: Well, a little chatty betea and then a little calling
- 4:13Speaker 8: a termine company. But I saw this little hole on
- 4:16Speaker 8: an interior wall in our house, and it was starting
- 4:18Speaker 8: to get larger and larger, and then there's like these
- 4:21Speaker 8: little pellets like it almost looked like coffee grounds that
- 4:24Speaker 8: like were falling out of it. And it was on too,
- 4:27Speaker 8: like you know, the table that was kind of right
- 4:29Speaker 8: in that area, and so I took a picture of
- 4:31Speaker 8: that and the hole put in chattybtea and it's like, yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 8: you probably have termites.
- 4:34Speaker 5: And I was like, all right, So I called the company.
- 4:36Speaker 8: The guy was supposed to come yesterday, and I was
- 4:38Speaker 8: very excited and I said, Then he calls me and goes,
- 4:40Speaker 8: I'm so sorry, I have food poisoning and I have
- 4:42Speaker 8: to reschedule.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Like, I mean, the guys around a lot of bugs
- 4:45Speaker 1: and termites, of course.
- 4:48Speaker 5: But I'm just like, is this like an issue?
- 4:49Speaker 8: He's like, you know, could it wait a few more
- 4:51Speaker 8: days or like do you need to come down. He's like,
- 4:52Speaker 8: it probably could wait. I could probably treat it right there.
- 4:55Speaker 8: And it's like not as big of an issue to
- 4:57Speaker 8: have to hopefully tense your house.
- 4:58Speaker 5: So TBD, that's what I'm dealing with.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I you know, it would take the ten for years.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And I saw that little sign that little building and
- 5:06Speaker 3: said Dewey. Dewey's pest control, okay, and so that's who
- 5:10Speaker 3: I used. I saw the sign off the ten. I
- 5:12Speaker 3: was like, Dewey. Looks like maybe he's a guy in
- 5:14Speaker 3: that Dewey so called Dewey. If you need to but
- 5:17Speaker 3: you know, it could be a lot of things. I
- 5:19Speaker 3: have had termites, I have had squirrels. I thought I
- 5:24Speaker 3: had gerbils up in there. So you know, you don't
- 5:26Speaker 3: you really need an expert to get in there with
- 5:28Speaker 3: that little camera find out what's eating the inside of
- 5:33Speaker 3: your walls.
- 5:33Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, so scary.
- 5:35Speaker 8: I bought the house three years ago and we did
- 5:37Speaker 8: the termite inspection and cleared in past. So that's why
- 5:40Speaker 8: I'm hoping that it's just this one area.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe maybe not. These termites with the heat, they
- 5:45Speaker 3: just expand. Oh my gosh, they breed in the thousands. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 3: termites give birth every much about you? Yeah, yeah, the termites.
- 5:57Speaker 3: They're not their average sized litter five hundred term babies.
- 6:01Speaker 9: Ew.
- 6:01Speaker 8: I just check my dudes on the microphone. Oh no,
- 6:06Speaker 8: you're not making me feel any better.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Waiting for the appointment.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I make all of this up. I don't know, but
- 6:11Speaker 3: it seems like that would be the case. I don't
- 6:13Speaker 3: know how many actually tell you look that up? How
- 6:15Speaker 3: many babies they have in a litterate? Once we'll come
- 6:17Speaker 3: back with that answer. Well, termite litter, Yeah, what have
- 6:22Speaker 3: they got? We'll come back with that facular taven follow.
- 6:25Speaker 3: This is Kiss FM. All right, good morning, we are
- 6:28Speaker 3: rolling up on seven o'clock, which means after seven we
- 6:31Speaker 3: got more of that free gas. Chewy is out in
- 6:33Speaker 3: Monrovia with a free gas this morning got Jane an
- 6:38Speaker 3: Echo Park. Good morning, Jane. How are you this morning
- 6:40Speaker 3: on Kiss?
- 6:42Speaker 2: Good morning?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Doing well? How are you doing great?
- 6:45Speaker 3: So all right, we got sunshine, we got heat, we
- 6:48Speaker 3: got free gas, and we got you with an issue.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Your registration sticker was stolen off your car an Echo Park.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It sure was just like a month after moving in.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Okay, were you now?
- 7:03Speaker 3: When every one, all of us moved to LA from
- 7:06Speaker 3: somewhere else, we were warned about this that you need
- 7:09Speaker 3: to be careful because people will take a razor blade
- 7:11Speaker 3: and they will or there somehow get your registration sticker
- 7:16Speaker 3: to avoid having to pay for it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And you were a victim of that. How did they
- 7:21Speaker 1: get it off?
- 7:23Speaker 7: You know?
- 7:24Speaker 2: I have lived here for in Los Angeles for about
- 7:27Speaker 2: sixteen years. I had my sticker in twenty twenty seven
- 7:32Speaker 2: because I was living in the future, you know, with
- 7:34Speaker 2: my registration, and then they took me all the way
- 7:37Speaker 2: back to twenty twenty two.
- 7:39Speaker 8: Oh no, yeah, they probably peeled off a good five stickers,
- 7:43Speaker 8: like one truck.
- 7:44Speaker 3: So let this be a public service announcement. Yeah, what
- 7:48Speaker 3: what do they tell you to do to keep this
- 7:50Speaker 3: from happening?
- 7:51Speaker 8: You're supposed to slice your registration sticker into like different
- 7:55Speaker 8: portions with the razor blade. So that way, like if
- 7:58Speaker 8: they were to peel off your stick only like a
- 8:01Speaker 8: little corner would come off, and then it's useless.
- 8:03Speaker 10: What if they take it on and put it back together?
- 8:07Speaker 10: It would take a long time slice it. These are
- 8:10Speaker 10: thieves there, I know, leaborate schemes.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Uh, you live and learn, right. It is one of
- 8:17Speaker 3: those things though that they do, you know, recommend. So
- 8:19Speaker 3: it happened to you, but maybe by this happening to you,
- 8:22Speaker 3: you sharing it with others, it won't happen to some
- 8:24Speaker 3: people listening.
- 8:25Speaker 1: And here we go.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yep, slice it up, you guys, don't let.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Slice it up.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Slice it up all right, Jane, thank you for listening
- 8:33Speaker 3: to us in Echo Park. You have a great day.
- 8:35Speaker 3: And up next to quote of the day. And if
- 8:36Speaker 3: you're planning a wedding, I have to tell you about
- 8:39Speaker 3: this because it's rude. If you are doing this and
- 8:42Speaker 3: you are planning next tis FM. All right, Tell's number
- 8:45Speaker 3: one in music station. Let me get to a quote
- 8:46Speaker 3: the day. And also, if you're planning a wedding, I
- 8:48Speaker 3: know a lot of you are. How do you feel
- 8:51Speaker 3: about weddings over long weekends. Some people love it because
- 8:54Speaker 3: you get an extra day for travel. Others don't like
- 8:56Speaker 3: it because you're giving up an off day. Wedding professionals say,
- 9:03Speaker 3: if you want a wedding over a long weekend, stay
- 9:06Speaker 3: away from Labor Day, stay away from the fourth of July.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and stay away from Thanksgiving. It's just rude.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Almost we almost got married Thanksgiving weekend.
- 9:18Speaker 8: Oh, and I think we talked you out of it.
- 9:20Speaker 8: I remember you talking to us about it. I got
- 9:22Speaker 8: invited to a wedding on Thanksgiving weekend. I didn't go
- 9:24Speaker 8: because of it.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Well, Jay Shetty would have been the officion because.
- 9:28Speaker 5: I would get out right exactly.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So, yeah, it's just rude.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Experts Day, President's Day, New Year's Eve, those are actually okay.
- 9:36Speaker 8: I got married over a holiday weekend, oh, Martin Luther kidding.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Weekend, yep, that's an important observation day.
- 9:44Speaker 1: But you did it, and so I don't know it's.
- 9:46Speaker 8: Going to the Saturday so it was still just like
- 9:48Speaker 8: you still had the rest of the weekend and Monday off.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Don't try and justify the fact that rudely planned your
- 9:53Speaker 3: wedding on a holiday weekend. Today's quote angry people want
- 9:57Speaker 3: you to see how powerful they are. Loving people want
- 10:02Speaker 3: you to see how powerful you are.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I love that.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And with that the headlines FM headlines with siciny well.
- 10:13Speaker 8: The top two in California governor's race has been decided.
- 10:17Speaker 8: Republican Steve Hilton will face Democrat Javier Basra in November.
- 10:22Speaker 8: Sofi Stadium workers have reached a tentative contract deal avoiding
- 10:25Speaker 8: a strike just days ahead of the first LA World
- 10:28Speaker 8: Cup match on Friday.
- 10:30Speaker 5: A beach hazard statement remains in.
- 10:32Speaker 8: Effect through tomorrow evening as deadly rip currents and large
- 10:37Speaker 8: waves create dangerous conditions here at local beaches. And jay
- 10:42Speaker 8: Z and Rock Nation have announced retrospective a jay Z
- 10:46Speaker 8: thirty shows Yeah, one in Paris and one at Sofi
- 10:50Speaker 8: Stadium on October twenty third.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Thanks Kiss roommates, Let's talk about it. LA's number one
- 10:56Speaker 3: at music station streaming on the iHeartRadio app seacrest with you.
- 10:59Speaker 1: We have all had them.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I had so many roommates, most of which were nuts,
- 11:04Speaker 3: most of which had weird, gross, crazy habits, none of.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Which I would want to date.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Because for one, yeah, like you dated one of them,
- 11:15Speaker 6: for one of them.
- 11:16Speaker 3: And now, Sophia, you're leaving us at the end of
- 11:18Speaker 3: the week, your internship is over.
- 11:19Speaker 1: You're going to study what are you studying in Florence?
- 11:22Speaker 11: I'm going to study just Florence and media and marketing.
- 11:28Speaker 1: That sounds like a bunch of I don't unclarity.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Like a little party, a little class.
- 11:34Speaker 1: You want to study Florence media?
- 11:36Speaker 3: Yes, media, dif Okay, all right now, so why are
- 11:42Speaker 3: you getting a new roommate right now?
- 11:44Speaker 11: So we actually just picked up a fourth roommate who's
- 11:48Speaker 11: going to be coming in to live with us for
- 11:49Speaker 11: the next school year in the fall. Okay, And right now,
- 11:53Speaker 11: I currently have two other roommates. They're my good, close,
- 11:56Speaker 11: best friends. Safe to say, we've had our ups and
- 11:59Speaker 11: downs living together. Yeah, but apparently we're going to be
- 12:03Speaker 11: having one of my roommate's friends come live with us.
- 12:06Speaker 11: And like, that's okay with me if they had asked
- 12:09Speaker 11: me beforehand, But she didn't ask. She kind of more
- 12:12Speaker 11: just like told us she's like, oh, hey, by the way,
- 12:14Speaker 11: like she's coming to live with us, so we need
- 12:16Speaker 11: to get a four bedroom. So now we have to
- 12:18Speaker 11: move to a whole new place. And we're still trying
- 12:21Speaker 11: to find that whole new place to have the fortress
- 12:24Speaker 11: school and the new roommate. She kinda is being such
- 12:28Speaker 11: a grudge and she's just making it so difficult.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Is a grudge better or worse than a chud?
- 12:36Speaker 11: I honestly, I think.
- 12:39Speaker 1: They might be the same. Do you know what chud
- 12:41Speaker 1: comes from? Chud? The movie? Okay, do you know that, Malia?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Did you even know that when you use that term?
- 12:46Speaker 5: There's no way that comes from that?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Ah? Yeah, take a look.
- 12:50Speaker 5: I looked it up, this new dredg Chud looked it up.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I want to make sure we were saying there wasn't
- 12:57Speaker 1: going to offend people.
- 12:58Speaker 3: She's like, there, it's a bunch of chuds. I checked
- 13:03Speaker 3: out that checked out the history of chud. Take a
- 13:05Speaker 3: good look at it, there, Malia, Sophia back to you,
- 13:08Speaker 3: roommates disaster. There's always drama, it's always a problem. I mean, look,
- 13:12Speaker 3: the good news is you do it because you can
- 13:13Speaker 3: share costs. Yeah, and this is the price you pay
- 13:17Speaker 3: no pun intended. But the other thing is, you know,
- 13:22Speaker 3: I forgive it a little bit because this is like
- 13:25Speaker 3: you're all just now starting out in life. You haven't
- 13:28Speaker 3: had a lot of experience dealing with people in situations
- 13:31Speaker 3: like this, living with people, living with partners, living with roommates.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I mean, these are not as mistakes, and these are
- 13:38Speaker 3: things that maybe are probably a little less thoughtful at
- 13:41Speaker 3: the beginning because you just haven't done it enough. So
- 13:44Speaker 3: it will be what it will be because you want
- 13:46Speaker 3: to split four ways, right, yes, and you're off to
- 13:50Speaker 3: study abroad, so I don't have a lot of pain
- 13:54Speaker 3: hoosing out of my pores for you. But roommates in general, crazy,
- 14:00Speaker 3: they do. You will think that they are normal. Sleep
- 14:03Speaker 3: with one eye open. Oh yeah, that's my advice. Florence.
- 14:08Speaker 3: She's going to Florence to study. Wow, right, its.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Gonna be great. Yeah, of course it's gonna be great
- 14:13Speaker 1: for you. It is kiss FM.
- 14:16Speaker 3: All right, Seacrest here about to give away some Disneyland
- 14:19Speaker 3: tickets in just a few minutes, But first I want
- 14:21Speaker 3: to talk about something you probably obviously. The iconic street
- 14:25Speaker 3: down there olvera street and there's an iconic stand. Cilito
- 14:28Speaker 3: Lindo This is an iconic Alvera street stand known for
- 14:32Speaker 3: its handraal taquitos and avocado sauce. How many takitos can
- 14:36Speaker 3: you actually eat? If no one was watching?
- 14:39Speaker 8: A lot?
- 14:41Speaker 1: A lot? Yeah, right, So I think they've been there
- 14:45Speaker 1: ruby but like almost one hundred years.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Yeah, since nineteen thirty four.
- 14:50Speaker 3: That's but they're in danger of closing. They were actually
- 14:55Speaker 3: on I saw this show. They were featured, remember that
- 14:58Speaker 3: show Anthony boordained parts of Known.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, good.
- 15:02Speaker 3: So they made the La Times one hundred and one
- 15:05Speaker 3: Best Restaurant list and they were also on Anthony Bourdain's
- 15:07Speaker 3: show that was on CNN. When when it still runs,
- 15:10Speaker 3: I think sometimes, but they were on his show, so
- 15:12Speaker 3: that's a big deal where it always goes all right,
- 15:14Speaker 3: he went around, looked for local places, and I'm going
- 15:16Speaker 3: to bring in Natiana Robertson and she will explain what's
- 15:21Speaker 3: going on, because to have such a historic place be
- 15:25Speaker 3: in danger of closing is not great. It's not great
- 15:28Speaker 3: for the street, not great for them, not great for
- 15:30Speaker 3: us in the city. Good morning, Natiana, how are you?
- 15:34Speaker 8: I'm great?
- 15:34Speaker 2: How are you do it?
- 15:36Speaker 1: Okay? So, first of all, when was it established Cidi
- 15:39Speaker 1: Tolindo nineteen thirty four, nineteen thirty four.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Okay, so we have got to get you to at
- 15:47Speaker 3: least beyond one hundred years.
- 15:49Speaker 1: What's happening?
- 15:50Speaker 3: I know that you're in danger of closing, and it's
- 15:53Speaker 3: crazy because it's such a popular, well known spot.
- 15:56Speaker 12: So right now we're going through a transition a third generation,
- 16:01Speaker 12: third generation to our fourth generation now, and with that
- 16:05Speaker 12: we're inheriting some financial burdens us like a lot of
- 16:09Speaker 12: the merchants on Alvera Street are having to face things
- 16:12Speaker 12: like rent arrears from COVID as well as you know,
- 16:16Speaker 12: dwindling tourism numbers and repairs that we as renters on
- 16:21Speaker 12: Olvera Street have to cover ourselves.
- 16:24Speaker 3: And how is it that you have set up an
- 16:26Speaker 3: opportunity for people to chip in to help who are
- 16:29Speaker 3: fans or who you know have known you for what
- 16:31Speaker 3: ninety two years now?
- 16:33Speaker 12: So we went back and forth about having to ask
- 16:36Speaker 12: for help, but I'm so glad that we did, because
- 16:39Speaker 12: not only do we have the opportunity to make these
- 16:41Speaker 12: repairs and to stay open, but we've learned that the
- 16:44Speaker 12: legacy of Sili Dolindo is not just important to our
- 16:47Speaker 12: family but it's an integral part of Los Angeles as
- 16:50Speaker 12: a city, and we just feel the community has rallied
- 16:53Speaker 12: so nicely behind us, and you know we can stay
- 16:58Speaker 12: open and serve you to kitos and have this legacy continue.
- 17:03Speaker 12: So we set up a gofund me and we've had
- 17:06Speaker 12: an overwhelming amount of support.
- 17:10Speaker 1: What's the goal? How much are you trying to get to?
- 17:14Speaker 12: So we set up our goal at forty thousand, and
- 17:17Speaker 12: that was about half of what we needed and we
- 17:21Speaker 12: didn't want to ask for any more. But you know,
- 17:24Speaker 12: it's it's surpassed that and we're going to be able
- 17:28Speaker 12: to open, hopefully in the next couple of weeks, especially
- 17:31Speaker 12: for World Cup, because we.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Know a lot of God come Yeah, so.
- 17:36Speaker 3: The community, people who are fans and in the neighbor
- 17:39Speaker 3: they came through for you. You exceeded your goal and you
- 17:42Speaker 3: are going to continue on.
- 17:45Speaker 12: Yes, we're actually about forty nine thousand as of yesterday morning,
- 17:49Speaker 12: and it's just, like I said, overwhelming and so heartwarming.
- 17:53Speaker 12: And you know, I would really encourage not only to
- 17:56Speaker 12: support us, but the other merchants all.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Bear Street really need our help.
- 18:01Speaker 12: They really need all of us to rally together to
- 18:03Speaker 12: keep this cornerstone of Los Angeles alive and.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Well absolutely, yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I mean it is such a part of history to
- 18:10Speaker 3: be there and to experience everything that is there.
- 18:14Speaker 1: So that's it.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Okay, I didn't know you had met you're going. I'm
- 18:16Speaker 3: so happy for you. I'm so relieve you. I'm so
- 18:18Speaker 3: excited for you. And it's also so beautiful that people
- 18:20Speaker 3: came through in the community. I just want to say,
- 18:23Speaker 3: like your Taquito's they swim in the sauce. They literally
- 18:27Speaker 3: it's like sauce and Taquito's underwater, you know what I mean.
- 18:31Speaker 1: They are like scuba dive. They're like snorkeling in the sauce.
- 18:34Speaker 12: Oh absolutely, and people just drink it.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah, don't feel rude if you just drink it
- 18:40Speaker 3: right out of there, all right. So there you go,
- 18:43Speaker 3: not Siana robertson Salito Lindo And you can check them
- 18:47Speaker 3: out on Instagram by the way, at Cilito Lindo La.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Take a look at what they've got there.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Go check them out, Go support and like she said, overall,
- 18:53Speaker 3: bigger picture, support all of the vendors there on a
- 18:57Speaker 3: Vera Street because it is La it is a a
- 19:00Speaker 3: crucial part of the history of La Thanks for coming on.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I'm so happy you got your goal and keep it up.
- 19:06Speaker 12: Thank you so much, and thank you to the city
- 19:08Speaker 12: of Los Angeles.
- 19:09Speaker 1: You got it.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yes, thank you, La Hie buy Natiana Robertson. Ask for
- 19:14Speaker 3: by name. When you roll up and look at those
- 19:16Speaker 3: taquita's swimming in that avocado sauce. It is kiss hafem
- 19:19Speaker 3: All right, really want to get to this call Chewie's
- 19:24Speaker 3: in Monrovia. We're going live there to get your free gas.
- 19:26Speaker 3: So yeah, we're giving away the free gas. But chew
- 19:29Speaker 3: he's out just tapping you on the shoulder random gas stations,
- 19:33Speaker 3: surprising you and buying your tank.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Amelia in Wittier, good morning, Hi, How are you well?
- 19:41Speaker 3: Okay, but let's talk about you and your situation. So
- 19:44Speaker 3: the question is, if your best friend confesses that she
- 19:49Speaker 3: is having an affair, do you tell your spouse your partner?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Is that correct?
- 19:57Speaker 13: I found myself in a pickle here. Yeah, my one
- 20:01Speaker 13: of my closest friends confessed to me that she's been
- 20:04Speaker 13: having an affair and it's been going on for a
- 20:06Speaker 13: few months. And I was stunned by this. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 13: I just basically tried to be a good friend and
- 20:14Speaker 13: just listen. But I where I'm struggling is, you know,
- 20:19Speaker 13: this is really hard information to just keep in, right,
- 20:22Speaker 13: And I tell my husband everything.
- 20:26Speaker 14: But my husband is like best friends with her husband. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 14: he was one of his groomsmen.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Oh right.
- 20:38Speaker 13: I feel like I'm in an impossible situation now, where
- 20:42Speaker 13: you know, I hate keeping something this big from my husband.
- 20:46Speaker 14: I could really use his advice and support and the
- 20:51Speaker 14: sounding board, right, But I if I tell him, I
- 20:57Speaker 14: think that he would feel all obligated to say something
- 21:01Speaker 14: to his friend with her husband, right right.
- 21:04Speaker 13: And I mean and if that happens, like my friendship
- 21:08Speaker 13: with her will probably be over.
- 21:11Speaker 3: But do you want to be really good close friends
- 21:14Speaker 3: with someone that's lying about and like having an affair
- 21:18Speaker 3: in the fact that a husband and the man you
- 21:21Speaker 3: guys know.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Like what's her end goal? Like she needs to divorce him?
- 21:27Speaker 13: I mean that this is where like my moral high ground,
- 21:30Speaker 13: you know, it comes into question. And I get I've
- 21:33Speaker 13: been I've been telling myself, you know, we're all responsible
- 21:37Speaker 13: for our own decisions.
- 21:38Speaker 14: And I've been friends with her longer than.
- 21:41Speaker 13: They've been married, I mean longer than they've known each other.
- 21:45Speaker 13: We've been this is a twenty year friendship, and it's
- 21:50Speaker 13: you know, I feel wrong to throw away a friendship.
- 21:55Speaker 13: Even though I may not agree with what she's doing.
- 21:59Speaker 14: She's makes her own stakes in a way. But I
- 22:03Speaker 14: don't know what to do. I don't know. I'm really
- 22:06Speaker 14: torn with this.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I am going to tell you that I understand all
- 22:13Speaker 1: sides of this.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I understand your loyalty to your friend, but I think
- 22:18Speaker 3: it is a real, real crisis for you to not
- 22:23Speaker 3: share this with your husband, and for your husband to
- 22:26Speaker 3: not share this with his friend, because this is not
- 22:31Speaker 3: going to go well anyway, right, So let's get it
- 22:36Speaker 3: to a conclusion where he knows what's happening because he's
- 22:40Speaker 3: being betrayed, and then you would know this. And then
- 22:43Speaker 3: at some point when this all comes out, you've held
- 22:46Speaker 3: this secret, which is so crushing to the man who
- 22:50Speaker 3: thought his wife was being faithful. And I think you
- 22:55Speaker 3: need to fast track the conclusion and not to me.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Not easy, not easy at all.
- 23:01Speaker 5: But why is this on her now?
- 23:03Speaker 14: I know, literally I wish I didn't know.
- 23:07Speaker 5: You didn't ask for this. I think you need to
- 23:09Speaker 5: go back to your friend.
- 23:10Speaker 8: Go back to your friend and tell her how horrible
- 23:12Speaker 8: you feel and how horrible she's making you feel by
- 23:15Speaker 8: giving you this information.
- 23:17Speaker 5: And she needs to tell the husband cheating on her husband.
- 23:20Speaker 8: She's not going to care how she needs to come
- 23:22Speaker 8: she needs to come clean, and it's not on you.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I think you're wrong because I think when when this
- 23:28Speaker 3: blows up, it is going to become on you and
- 23:31Speaker 3: it's going to look really bad on you at that point.
- 23:34Speaker 13: Oh gosh, like I just can't even imagine. And I
- 23:38Speaker 13: I wish I didn't know, you know, I wish.
- 23:40Speaker 3: She'd I wish I waste, I waste, doesn't matter.
- 23:43Speaker 8: You're going to tell your husband and then she's going
- 23:46Speaker 8: to know what's going to happen after that.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, give her the heads up. You can't keep
- 23:49Speaker 3: this from your husband. And let's get to a conclusion.
- 23:53Speaker 3: It's going to blow up.
- 23:53Speaker 5: By the word sorry, you're going through this. This is
- 23:55Speaker 5: a horrible position to be in.
- 23:57Speaker 13: Well, thanks for letting me get it off my chest
- 23:59Speaker 13: and you're I appreciate.
- 24:01Speaker 3: It, and good luck to you. There's no way out
- 24:04Speaker 3: of this. A million sorry about that. Kiss FM on.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Air with Ryan Seacrest Martinez.
- 24:12Speaker 5: I'm friends with the month.
- 24:15Speaker 3: It is kiss FM, who is happy to be here today.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Who is grateful to be here today, to do this
- 24:20Speaker 3: by right, Happy that we get to do it together.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Happy we connect with you.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Thanks for being here, if you're streaming, if you're listening
- 24:27Speaker 3: on the FM radio, all of it.
- 24:29Speaker 1: We love it, We appreciate it. We fun. This is fun.
- 24:32Speaker 1: We had a good time together.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Then we have to go to like real life stuff
- 24:36Speaker 3: after this meetings and like I didn't even this is
- 24:38Speaker 3: not even work.
- 24:39Speaker 15: We have to go to work after this. Sistney actually
- 24:42Speaker 15: has an office. Cool, I take meetings and zooms. I
- 24:49Speaker 15: got into this business for not that chewey Martinez. He's
- 24:53Speaker 15: got a great gig, so you know it has the
- 24:55Speaker 15: big party over the weekend on a Kiss FM. And
- 24:58Speaker 15: now he's got this can you roll. We've been setting
- 25:01Speaker 15: him out to buy free gas. With the prices so
- 25:04Speaker 15: sky high, we're trying to find relief in free gas.
- 25:07Speaker 15: That's why whole month we've got free gas every hour
- 25:10Speaker 15: on the tens and then at the end of the month,
- 25:13Speaker 15: I will literally call somebody that got the free gas
- 25:15Speaker 15: and give them free gas for an entire year. That
- 25:19Speaker 15: is going to be one of those moments that we
- 25:22Speaker 15: will remember for a long time, super super excited. Chew
- 25:25Speaker 15: Eat Martinez, my brother, how are you on this Wednesday morning?
- 25:30Speaker 9: I'm good Man over here being bad in the city
- 25:33Speaker 9: of Monrovia, and I'm he on that girl Liz who
- 25:36Speaker 9: is dropping off kids at summer camp and we found
- 25:39Speaker 9: her this morning. She said I need some gas and
- 25:41Speaker 9: we're hooking her up, Bryan.
- 25:43Speaker 7: But here she is say I, Hi, thank.
- 25:46Speaker 16: You, good morning much guys, my morning.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Well, you're very welcome. We're so happy to be there.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Chewye is just like rolling up on people, surprising them.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Did he tap you on the shoulder? Did he like
- 25:56Speaker 3: sort of slowly walk up to you? How did you
- 25:58Speaker 3: know it was chewing Martinez kids.
- 26:01Speaker 16: Oh, he came up with a big old smile and
- 26:05Speaker 16: that's it.
- 26:06Speaker 1: That'll do it right.
- 26:08Speaker 12: Yeah, it was great, perfect timing.
- 26:10Speaker 16: I was just dropping off of kids at summer camp
- 26:13Speaker 16: at Arcadia High School. When I say hi to my kids, Kristen,
- 26:18Speaker 16: Aiden and Kayla Albaron.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Great names. So how long is summer camp at Arcadia?
- 26:25Speaker 3: How many days nights do they stay there? Sleepover?
- 26:29Speaker 16: It feels like they sleep over, but about a month?
- 26:33Speaker 16: About a month, I'm going to have the football goes
- 26:35Speaker 16: on forever.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Have your kids ever gone to sleep away?
- 26:38Speaker 16: Oh yeah, yeah. I mean at first it was rough,
- 26:41Speaker 16: but they started just loving it. They yeah, once I
- 26:46Speaker 16: do the one. I think they're happy and good. And
- 26:49Speaker 16: you know, as a parent, you see them happy and good,
- 26:51Speaker 16: so you know they're okay.
- 26:53Speaker 3: That's what you want in life. Absolutely, Well, we got
- 26:56Speaker 3: your gas. It's covered, the tank is full. Thank you
- 26:59Speaker 3: for chatting with me, Thanks for listening to kiss FM.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Have a fantastic summer, and I hope the football team
- 27:04Speaker 3: does well this year.
- 27:05Speaker 16: Oh thank you so much, and thanks again for everything.
- 27:09Speaker 7: Love you.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I love you. It's our pleasure. You take your care.
- 27:13Speaker 7: Okay.
- 27:15Speaker 16: Oh huh cheweye.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I love her. She's great. She's great.
- 27:19Speaker 7: Man.
- 27:20Speaker 9: She convinced me I want to go to summer camp.
- 27:21Speaker 9: She's about to drop me off. So I'm gonna get ready. Ryan.
- 27:25Speaker 3: You could do zip line, you could you know, pitch
- 27:28Speaker 3: a tent, you could barbecue whatever they barbecue at camp.
- 27:31Speaker 9: I'm so ready. I'm ready. But yeah, we're here in Monroevia, Ryan,
- 27:34Speaker 9: All morning long.
- 27:35Speaker 7: Brother.
- 27:36Speaker 3: I totally love that song. That is Dominic Fight, one
- 27:39Speaker 3: of two point seven Kiss FM. It's a jam. If
- 27:42Speaker 3: I could play instruments and be an artist. I would
- 27:44Speaker 3: play that style I think of music. Yes, it will
- 27:48Speaker 3: never happen, but yeah, fun to dream.
- 27:50Speaker 6: So, Tanya, you know, I know what. I couldn't believe
- 27:55Speaker 6: it either.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Well what I haven't even told you my thoughts?
- 28:00Speaker 7: Sorry?
- 28:00Speaker 1: Continue, Well what do you think it's going to be
- 28:04Speaker 1: that you couldn't.
- 28:04Speaker 6: Believe that they're getting married in Madison Square Garden.
- 28:07Speaker 1: No, I was not thinking that at all.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Oh, that's so many other things I was going to say,
- 28:12Speaker 3: you've derailed me. So all right, let's get to your
- 28:15Speaker 3: trending report. Siciny, Sophia Ruby, Leah, everybody listen to this
- 28:22Speaker 3: and do you think this is where they're gonna get married?
- 28:25Speaker 1: I have so many thoughts for in decoy.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Yes, yes, what I'm leaning so tmz tmz, which is legit.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I believe it right. Yeah.
- 28:35Speaker 4: So they're reporting that Taylor swip In Travis Kelsey will
- 28:37Speaker 4: be tying the knot on July third at Madison Square
- 28:40Speaker 4: Garden in New York City. So between eleven hundred and
- 28:43Speaker 4: twelve hundred guests have been invited, So that's over a
- 28:46Speaker 4: thousand people. But when you think about it, he has
- 28:48Speaker 4: an entire football team. Plus coaches, their wives. She has
- 28:52Speaker 4: a full team for everything that she does, so the
- 28:54Speaker 4: numbers add up quick. But here's the smart thing. So
- 28:56Speaker 4: Madison Square Garden has no windows, which means no paparazzi
- 28:59Speaker 4: can shoot from outside. There's also underground parking, and there's
- 29:03Speaker 4: I've heard there's underground tunnels, so guests can come and
- 29:06Speaker 4: go without the whole world watching. So when you think
- 29:08Speaker 4: about it, it's kind of smart. So what I think
- 29:11Speaker 4: she's using this MSG four is the meeting point for
- 29:16Speaker 4: all of her guests, because when you have a wedding
- 29:18Speaker 4: where you're not telling anybody the location, you have to
- 29:21Speaker 4: have a meeting point for the buses to pick everybody
- 29:23Speaker 4: up at Like a lot of people might do this
- 29:26Speaker 4: if they shuttle people. So I think MSG is going
- 29:29Speaker 4: to be where all the guests meet and then they
- 29:31Speaker 4: take this under these underground tunnels to wherever the actual
- 29:34Speaker 4: venue is going to be.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I'm sorry, what what kind of infrastructure underground do you
- 29:39Speaker 3: think New York City has to transport people from MSG
- 29:42Speaker 3: to another venue?
- 29:43Speaker 1: I don't know, yes, wait, wait subway exactly? Subw they
- 29:49Speaker 1: rented a subway.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Out I don't know, but I think Taylor Swift will
- 29:52Speaker 4: find out. So this is here's the thing. There's no windows,
- 29:54Speaker 4: amount of sin square garden.
- 29:56Speaker 7: We get that.
- 29:57Speaker 5: We get that.
- 29:57Speaker 6: So the guests can come in, no photo, no paparazzi.
- 30:00Speaker 4: They meet in MSG, and then these shuttles, these underground
- 30:04Speaker 4: shuttles take them.
- 30:07Speaker 3: What what is going on underground in New York City? Buses? Subway?
- 30:12Speaker 3: I get, But are underground roads for buses?
- 30:15Speaker 16: I don't know.
- 30:15Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 30:17Speaker 1: So I don't know. I mean, look, I get it.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Maybe they're going to tell people the wedding is at MSG,
- 30:23Speaker 3: and then when they get in, they're gonna you know,
- 30:25Speaker 3: blindfold them and take them underground, subterranean.
- 30:28Speaker 8: Yeah, but then there's see to be people that can
- 30:30Speaker 8: follow those cars, Like, there's no way. I don't think
- 30:32Speaker 8: that that's it. I think this is a whole decorid,
- 30:34Speaker 8: like nothing's gonna happen there and it's actually going to
- 30:36Speaker 8: be somewhere else.
- 30:37Speaker 6: What But then what about the guests? Was one thousand people?
- 30:40Speaker 1: Is that?
- 30:42Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 30:42Speaker 5: I don't know anything TMC.
- 30:46Speaker 1: That's true. I just texted Harvey to see if that's
- 30:49Speaker 1: like what he knows about it?
- 30:50Speaker 8: Yeah, ask him whose sources we should have him on
- 30:53Speaker 8: so he can give us the te like fresh as
- 30:55Speaker 8: it's coming in.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I'm saying, can you call him? Okay? All right? Maybe?
- 31:01Speaker 3: I mean it's Look, I'm just so happy I see them,
- 31:05Speaker 3: and I just am so happy that they really have
- 31:08Speaker 3: found each other because in a life like what she
- 31:11Speaker 3: lives and a life like what he lives too. Yeah,
- 31:14Speaker 3: very difficult, very difficult to become one and confident with
- 31:20Speaker 3: each other's huge success.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I love it.
- 31:23Speaker 3: If it's at MSG, if it's at into it Dome,
- 31:27Speaker 3: if it's you know, out of the forum, whatever, happy
- 31:30Speaker 3: for them, for me too, it's not gonna be there
- 31:34Speaker 3: kiss So I Unfortunately I have to use a reading
- 31:40Speaker 3: glasses a very once in a while for small print
- 31:41Speaker 3: and every fricking menu. Why restaurant business do you write
- 31:47Speaker 3: tiny font incursive with no spacing. Even teenagers can't read it.
- 31:54Speaker 3: I'm the guy with the candle to light. Put my
- 31:56Speaker 3: glasses on. Anyway, happened. I have two sets of glasses
- 31:58Speaker 3: here on the counter, and they feel the same weight.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I happen to grab my daytime sunglasses or my evening sunglasses.
- 32:05Speaker 3: I realized, I realized, oh I can't not prescription.
- 32:10Speaker 6: Really threw me off.
- 32:11Speaker 5: I like the light color.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Well you said golden now or send them?
- 32:14Speaker 5: Yeah? What's up?
- 32:18Speaker 1: Okay? So shall we?
- 32:20Speaker 7: Yes?
- 32:20Speaker 3: Sisany let's talk about the World cop uh and superstitions.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Are you a superstitious person?
- 32:27Speaker 5: I kind of am.
- 32:28Speaker 7: Yes.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I don't know why, Okay, I.
- 32:31Speaker 8: Just know, and then I want to find outbout all
- 32:34Speaker 8: these teams are kind of doing like I guess, tradition, superstitions,
- 32:36Speaker 8: whatever you want to call it. Brazil had their plane
- 32:39Speaker 8: baptized with water cannons before taking off for good luck. Obviously,
- 32:46Speaker 8: Turkey arrolled to the airport with a massive convoy of
- 32:50Speaker 8: fans and motorcycles, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds, just kind
- 32:54Speaker 8: of like sending them off. Croatia's entire team attended mass
- 32:58Speaker 8: together before departing. But Argentina might be taking things to
- 33:02Speaker 8: the next level. Okay, So they reportedly changed their flight
- 33:05Speaker 8: number to nineteen seventy eight, which is the year they
- 33:09Speaker 8: won their first World Cup, and they even painted the
- 33:12Speaker 8: giant number ten on the plane to honor their legend,
- 33:15Speaker 8: Lionel Messi.
- 33:16Speaker 5: But every country is just trying to squeeze.
- 33:18Speaker 8: In that one last dose of luck before kickoff, right,
- 33:22Speaker 8: I mean it.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Is a good idea. It creates a good energy, good vibes.
- 33:27Speaker 3: It makes a lot of sense. What do you do
- 33:31Speaker 3: that is superstitious before something big in your life?
- 33:34Speaker 7: Oh?
- 33:34Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 33:35Speaker 8: It just depends like, oh no, you know' eve ben
- 33:39Speaker 8: me on the spot. I can't think of anything in
- 33:41Speaker 8: particular on the spot.
- 33:42Speaker 1: You knew you were going to be here for four
- 33:43Speaker 1: hours to go like, I'm gonna ask you a lot es.
- 33:45Speaker 6: You throw water at me as I walk out the
- 33:47Speaker 6: front door.
- 33:48Speaker 5: What every day?
- 33:49Speaker 6: No? Before something like important?
- 33:52Speaker 1: Why?
- 33:54Speaker 7: So?
- 33:54Speaker 4: That is an answer that I don't know. It's something
- 33:56Speaker 4: my mom used to do when I was little if
- 33:57Speaker 4: there was anything big I had coming up with school,
- 33:59Speaker 4: She with you. No, It's like it's like a good luck.
- 34:02Speaker 7: Okay.
- 34:03Speaker 8: I know something weird I do every time I board
- 34:05Speaker 8: a plane. I always have to touch and tap the
- 34:07Speaker 8: outside of the plane as I'm entering it.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I don't know why.
- 34:11Speaker 5: Interesting, It's like, let's take me and take me to
- 34:13Speaker 5: my destination.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Malia the intern. Any superstitions Not really.
- 34:17Speaker 5: I feel like I lead with a pretty confident foot.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Yeah exactly, so we have less confident feet, so fool.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Is any superstitions.
- 34:27Speaker 11: One that I've always lived by is that if I
- 34:30Speaker 11: see a black cat across the street, I will refuse
- 34:33Speaker 11: to like drive in that street.
- 34:35Speaker 5: I will like make a U turning.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I can't let that one be real.
- 34:39Speaker 6: I won't a ladder.
- 34:40Speaker 5: If I see a ladder, I will not walk under it.
- 34:43Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I won't get on it either.
- 34:44Speaker 4: If I spill the salt, I have to put salt
- 34:47Speaker 4: over my left shoulder.
- 34:48Speaker 5: Is it your left Yeah?
- 34:50Speaker 6: I hope.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So I've missed out on a chapter of life.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Wait, why wouldn't you get up on a.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Ladder because I don't want to fix anything? Lazy, not lazy.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I'm just not good at that. That's not my bailey.
- 35:05Speaker 3: I get up on a ladder. I got to clean
- 35:07Speaker 3: out gutters.
- 35:07Speaker 1: That's huh.
- 35:08Speaker 8: If a light bulb goes out in your house and
- 35:10Speaker 8: you have to get up on a ladder to fix it,
- 35:11Speaker 8: you will not fix it.
- 35:12Speaker 5: You're just gonna sit in the dark.
- 35:14Speaker 1: No, I call my girlfriend at the time.
- 35:16Speaker 5: On air with a Ryan Seacrest, it is.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Kendrick Lamar on one of two point seven Kiss FM.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Good Morning.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Stream it on the iHeartRadio app, Get it on FM,
- 35:32Speaker 3: Get it on your smart device. We are literally everywhere
- 35:35Speaker 3: when you travel, take us with you all over the world.
- 35:39Speaker 3: iHeart radio app Now, Monrovia, have you spent time there?
- 35:43Speaker 3: If you live there, Chewy is actually in your neighborhood.
- 35:46Speaker 3: There's so many gas stations to choose from, but he
- 35:49Speaker 3: randomly just picked another one, and he's gonna walk up
- 35:52Speaker 3: to somebody that's get in their gas and buy the
- 35:56Speaker 3: gas in real time, live right now, Chewy.
- 36:00Speaker 9: Jeffery Monrovia just rolled up on him and looked him
- 36:03Speaker 9: up with some.
- 36:03Speaker 7: Pre gar here you go.
- 36:06Speaker 11: Rightan.
- 36:07Speaker 1: What's up, Jeff?
- 36:09Speaker 7: What's up?
- 36:09Speaker 1: Brother?
- 36:09Speaker 9: How you doing it?
- 36:11Speaker 7: Is?
- 36:11Speaker 3: You are my brother? I can tell by her connection already.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Tell me about you, Jeff? What's up? What do I
- 36:16Speaker 3: need to know about you?
- 36:16Speaker 7: Brob Hey, Well, all you need to know is you
- 36:20Speaker 7: guys lucked out because I'm like at three quarter full already,
- 36:23Speaker 7: so you only got to put a quarter quarter tank
- 36:25Speaker 7: in for me. So I'm cutting you guys at deal today.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Oh no oh no oh no no no no no no.
- 36:31Speaker 3: We will give you a I'm giving you more. I'll
- 36:33Speaker 3: give you a credit for the rest of it.
- 36:36Speaker 9: Nah.
- 36:36Speaker 7: I don't worry about that, bro, don't worry about that, Ryan,
- 36:39Speaker 7: I appreciate it.
- 36:40Speaker 9: Man.
- 36:40Speaker 7: We uh, we're on our way to Utah. My daughter's
- 36:43Speaker 7: got a softball tournament in Utah right now, so we're
- 36:46Speaker 7: just hitting the road for the AFA softball tournament in Utah.
- 36:51Speaker 3: So tell me this because I don't have kids yet,
- 36:55Speaker 3: but it's yeah, on the list of possibilities. So when
- 36:58Speaker 3: you've got a child who plays in that kind of
- 37:00Speaker 3: a league of sport, are you traveling interstate A lot?
- 37:05Speaker 7: No, it's not a lot, you know for the big tournaments.
- 37:08Speaker 7: That summertime usually is when the big tournaments are. That's
- 37:12Speaker 7: usually when you're going out of state for the for
- 37:14Speaker 7: the bigger tournaments. You know, during the rest of the year,
- 37:18Speaker 7: you're mostly playing friendly and they're still tournaments, but they're
- 37:22Speaker 7: closer to home. Don't need to spend all that money,
- 37:25Speaker 7: you know, going out of state and stuff like that.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Tournament. Daughters team's name.
- 37:30Speaker 7: The Firecrackers chose.
- 37:32Speaker 3: A Firecrackers chosen.
- 37:35Speaker 7: So she's a fourteen youth so that you know, between twelve,
- 37:39Speaker 7: thirteen and fourteen year old girls play play in that league.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Brother, I can you know, it's funny.
- 37:46Speaker 3: I think I think I have a good sense gauge
- 37:49Speaker 3: of character and people and human beings. I just feel
- 37:52Speaker 3: like you're a good one, bro. You are a good dude,
- 37:55Speaker 3: a good parent.
- 37:56Speaker 5: Yeah, you sound like a great day.
- 37:58Speaker 7: I appreciate it. You know, I try my best. You know,
- 38:01Speaker 7: there's no book to tell you how to do it.
- 38:04Speaker 7: You know, you just got to treat people the way
- 38:06Speaker 7: you want to be treated out here, and that's what
- 38:08Speaker 7: it all comes to.
- 38:09Speaker 3: You know, Chewie's never gonna not go out on the
- 38:12Speaker 3: streets every day because I want to meet every single
- 38:14Speaker 3: person at gas stations because I'm luffy all of them.
- 38:18Speaker 7: I'm telling you, you know, it's good to know that
- 38:21Speaker 7: there's still good people out there. You know, that's what
- 38:24Speaker 7: everybody needs to needs to know. Once in a while,
- 38:26Speaker 7: all we see is the negative. But it's good to
- 38:29Speaker 7: see that there's still good people out there. And that's
- 38:32Speaker 7: that's what I'm here for.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Gosh, I love you, Jeff. All right, listen, get out
- 38:36Speaker 1: there to Utah. It's beautiful.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Safe drive, will take care of the gas, and good
- 38:40Speaker 3: luck to the team. Thank you very much to listen
- 38:43Speaker 3: to us.
- 38:44Speaker 7: Hey, I appreciate it, brother, Thank you guys so much.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Man appreciate it.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Firecrackers Chosa Firecrackerssa.
- 38:51Speaker 7: Go thank you brother, Thank you guys, good luck by
- 38:58Speaker 7: welcome brother.
- 39:01Speaker 9: Utah. Homie. He say that was awesome, Chewie.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Can you get his number?
- 39:06Speaker 9: Can we get his number? Yeah, I'm gonna give his number.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we gotta get your number.
- 39:10Speaker 7: Dog.
- 39:10Speaker 16: Yeah, on the show some more.
- 39:13Speaker 7: How you doing? What's that time?
- 39:17Speaker 1: How are you yo?
- 39:18Speaker 9: Have a great time in Utah on the game? Oh
- 39:21Speaker 9: my god. But you'll give me your number, Homie, write
- 39:23Speaker 9: it down or something if you got take it down.
- 39:25Speaker 9: Here there you go, ran. Why don't we have a
- 39:27Speaker 9: Kiss FM softball team?
- 39:28Speaker 7: Bro? And we started? When would you play?
- 39:31Speaker 3: Well, you know, Chewie, I'm not great at those kinds
- 39:36Speaker 3: of things, but I could do the end. I love you, brother,
- 39:42Speaker 3: Jewey Martinez making friends in Monrovia. This is kiss It
- 39:47Speaker 3: is Kiss FM, LA's number one hit music station. Ryan
- 39:51Speaker 3: Seacrest with you and actually this is like one of
- 39:55Speaker 3: the most famous household names. Coming in right now to
- 39:59Speaker 3: join the show. I see how to copy.
- 40:01Speaker 17: Now come on, let's go, Ryan, Yeah, come on.
- 40:08Speaker 1: It is so great.
- 40:09Speaker 3: First of all, you've got your iHeart podcast microphone flag
- 40:13Speaker 3: in front of you because you're one of the family.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Now by the way.
- 40:16Speaker 17: It feels so good to be part of your little
- 40:19Speaker 17: iHeart family. I've admired you guys from Afar and now
- 40:23Speaker 17: I just what's the initiation?
- 40:25Speaker 1: Like what happens here? Nothing?
- 40:27Speaker 3: This is no We just asked you some questions about
- 40:29Speaker 3: what you're going to do, and I'm so I'm so
- 40:31Speaker 3: psyched about the philosophy and premise of your podcast, which
- 40:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna get to. But I want to say we
- 40:37Speaker 3: have met over the years, We've had a chance to
- 40:39Speaker 3: I think kind of work in the same places, you know,
- 40:42Speaker 3: over over all of this time, and there is a
- 40:45Speaker 3: there's an intangible that you bring to what you do
- 40:50Speaker 3: when we see you anywhere and on screen, and that
- 40:54Speaker 3: that is the feeling of like, you know, life's gonna
- 40:56Speaker 3: be okay. You have this thing about your it is
- 41:00Speaker 3: your disposition. It is probably because you're a happy person.
- 41:04Speaker 3: But every time I see you on television, I feel
- 41:08Speaker 3: it doesn't matter what you're talking about. I feel better
- 41:12Speaker 3: And it really is a magic power.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 41:14Speaker 17: First of all, can I just say thank you for that?
- 41:17Speaker 17: And I actually had a flashback of you and I'm meeting.
- 41:20Speaker 17: It was at one of the Olympics, lond If you
- 41:23Speaker 17: were drinking a very healthy smoothie. I remember thinking myself,
- 41:27Speaker 17: this guy, I want what he's having whatever you were having.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Your skin was glowy. I was sort of into your vibe.
- 41:33Speaker 17: I go, and you had tons of energy. The rest
- 41:36Speaker 17: of us were tipping over, so I knew that you
- 41:38Speaker 17: had like some kind of secret. I wanted to be
- 41:41Speaker 17: in the orbit. Just an electron circling would have been
- 41:43Speaker 17: fine with me. But you know what, here's the thing
- 41:47Speaker 17: I feel like about life in general. It's like Ryan,
- 41:50Speaker 17: we get one ride around the sun and that's it.
- 41:55Speaker 17: So I just like the idea, and I tell it
- 41:57Speaker 17: to my kids all the time, like this your go
- 42:01Speaker 17: like you get choices every day and I'm not being
- 42:03Speaker 17: all rose colored glasses and Pollyanna and everything's great. It's
- 42:07Speaker 17: not all great, but you get to decide how your
- 42:11Speaker 17: day's gonna go based on how you live. And so
- 42:14Speaker 17: two people live in the exact same worlds and one's
- 42:17Speaker 17: complaining all the time, and one's like, life has never
- 42:20Speaker 17: been better, and like, I want to be that girl.
- 42:22Speaker 17: I want to be the life has never been better girl.
- 42:25Speaker 1: Well, you're right.
- 42:26Speaker 3: It boils down to we are in control of the choices.
- 42:30Speaker 3: That we make and how we take on each day
- 42:32Speaker 3: and each thing that happens to us.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Hot a copy right here. If you're watching this video,
- 42:37Speaker 1: she's got.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Her iHeartRadio microphone flag in front of her because she's
- 42:41Speaker 3: got a podcast and the premise is amazing. So tell
- 42:46Speaker 3: us about the framing of what you're going to do
- 42:48Speaker 3: on this podcast.
- 42:49Speaker 17: Okay, it's a Joy one o one podcast. I've started
- 42:53Speaker 17: a business and it's all about infusing life with joy
- 42:56Speaker 17: through retreats, through you know this, lots of other reasons,
- 43:01Speaker 17: but the premise here is everybody, including myself, we're all
- 43:07Speaker 17: starving for inspiration, for something to be infused in us
- 43:13Speaker 17: that makes us feel better on any given day. And
- 43:17Speaker 17: when I was thinking about this podcast, all I could
- 43:19Speaker 17: think about was I want whoever's listening to leave levitating
- 43:24Speaker 17: a little bit, a little bit happier, a little bit lighter,
- 43:27Speaker 17: a little bit brighter with things they can do once
- 43:31Speaker 17: they stop listening to this, with some kind of action.
- 43:34Speaker 17: And so I was thinking about things that bring joy.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I love it.
- 43:39Speaker 3: This is going to be great. So you have to
- 43:41Speaker 3: listen to her podcast. Listen to Joy one oh one
- 43:45Speaker 3: with Hotocopy iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts and
- 43:50Speaker 3: feel good afterwards. I mean, this is something where you'll
- 43:52Speaker 3: you know, you'll learn something and you'll probably feel pretty
- 43:55Speaker 3: good on the inside after you hear it.
- 43:58Speaker 17: Right, but love it Ryan, what of what fun? Thanks
- 44:01Speaker 17: for having me, Honey of.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Course, Honey, Cuty everybody, Oh my gosh, she's she's gonna
- 44:07Speaker 3: take over.
- 44:07Speaker 1: iHeart she's the next big star.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I'll let two point seven kiss FM Sadness may sit
- 44:14Speaker 3: in because we could do this for four more hours together,
- 44:17Speaker 3: because it's so much fun to hang, lots to cover
- 44:19Speaker 3: always we always run out of time, but we'll be
- 44:21Speaker 3: back tomorrow to do some more stuff. So thank you
- 44:24Speaker 3: for being with us this morning. Ciciny has her hour
- 44:28Speaker 3: of Cis Power coming up. Oh I like that from
- 44:31Speaker 3: ten to eleven where she's got free gas.
- 44:34Speaker 5: That's right, one hundred dollars.
- 44:36Speaker 1: And for us tomorrow.
- 44:38Speaker 3: I was thinking, you tell me we have not been
- 44:41Speaker 3: to Rosemead with Chewie rose Mead. I was thinking, if
- 44:46Speaker 3: you want to wake up and Rose, if you are
- 44:47Speaker 3: waking up in rose Mead, let's get Chewy out there
- 44:49Speaker 3: early and buy gas. So Mark tell Chewie he's gonna
- 44:53Speaker 3: go to rose me first thing, got it? Yep, yep, yep,
- 44:56Speaker 3: rose Meaine, I like it. Free gas. He's going to
- 44:58Speaker 3: show up to gas stations on the unannounced and by
- 45:01Speaker 3: your gas Now chefs. I've always wanted to be a chef.
- 45:05Speaker 3: My fallback career will be chefing. They've revealed the worst

- 45:17Speaker 3: what we got Ryan's roses tomorrow, Disneyland tickets and so
