- 0:01Talks about the fact that the 4th, kind of like the 4th
- 0:06category in conduct of humility is treating other people with
- 0:11respect. We said yesterday that it feels
- 0:14like it's person being very humble and maybe even a little
- 0:19bit putting himself down. I'm going to greet every single
- 0:23person. You have to be such a low, such
- 0:25a simple, easy person that you recognize that one in the room.
- 0:30The truth the matter is, he explains, because really brings
- 0:34Calvo to yourself. Because how does it work?
- 0:37If I woke up the room and I ignore four people, those four
- 0:40people are turned off, automatically turned off.
- 0:43They might still gravitate and be attracted and be impressed by
- 0:49my power or my prestige or my honor.
- 0:52It doesn't stop them from wanting a connection, but it
- 0:56does stop them from liking the person you know.
- 0:58I know it. Cold people, very simple.
- 1:02While they're impressive and powerful and great people always
- 1:06want to connection with them. You find very interesting.
- 1:08There are cold people out there who ignore people.
- 1:11They're still charming, they're still powerful, they still have
- 1:14authority, and they therefore still have a major attraction.
- 1:19And a major attraction, for example, of a guy who is a big
- 1:22deal, who's a little bit cold, if he makes a big wedding and he
- 1:27invites a lot of people, everyone's coming.
- 1:29Everyone's coming to his wedding.
- 1:31Being cold does not stop friendships, but it does stop
- 1:35people really liking him. And so he's telling you be awful
- 1:39person. Recognize every person that you
- 1:41see. Be like Yokharaman Zakai, who
- 1:44said hello to every individual we met, even the guy in the
- 1:47shook little. That means you walk in the
- 1:49street, you see a person doesn't make a difference If you make
- 1:53eye contact with that person. It doesn't matter if it's a
- 1:55garbage collector. All right, mailman for sure.
- 2:00Even if it's the Korean person collecting the bottles, if they
- 2:03make I got to be you, they're still human being.
- 2:05You say hello, you see a person doesn't make a difference the
- 2:09color and there's not a racist. There's not there's not an anti
- 2:11racist thing. This is just every human being
- 2:14is a person and they all deserve a basic level of decency and
- 2:17respect. Doesn't make a difference where
- 2:19they're from, who they like, that background, who they're
- 2:23associated with. It makes 0 difference.
- 2:25I'm talking about walking in Israel and seeing an Arab.
- 2:28You say hello, doesn't hurt anybody.
- 2:31You say hello. It's all the same thing.
- 2:32All right? If you make contact and treat
- 2:35your person, you know from business, if you treat a person
- 2:37with respect, they can treat you normally.
- 2:41As much, as much as this very polarizing world and things are
- 2:47always extremely heated and we have issues with a lot of people
- 2:51out there and all that stuff. Reality is, you face a person
- 2:54face to face and you give them a decent greeting, you'll be fine
- 2:58with them normally. You'll be fine.
- 3:01Again, If they steal from you and they harm you and they're
- 3:05part of the faction that hates you, you have trouble.
- 3:07But technically speaking, you give a regular person decent
- 3:10greeting, you'll be fine. I went to Chuck E Cheese in
- 3:14Staten Island last week. All right, that was a process.
- 3:19OK, Half the place was Muslim. On the why half the place is
- 3:25Muslim, Half Jewish, half Muslim.
- 3:28I don't know why. Every person that I saw Arab guy
- 3:34hi, hi, say hello. The guy thought you say hello.
- 3:39You wave something just a just a big signal.
- 3:42And you know what? They were fine.
- 3:45They nodded back. We're not discussing world
- 3:47politics right now. We're not in Israel, we're not
- 3:49in in Iran right now. We're not dealing with the
- 3:51issues. What does it hurt me?
- 3:52What does it hurt them? You could always live side by
- 3:55side, always live normal people and you give them the basic
- 3:58decency. People talk about the fact that
- 3:59growing up live with the Italians, they live with this,
- 4:03live with that, and it was all fine.
- 4:05Why was it all fine? Because you had a basic level of
- 4:07decency. When do things get crazy?
- 4:09When you start to get crazy, when you start to be cold and
- 4:13you start to distance and polarize and all these things.
- 4:15So he's telling you it's great level of humility.
- 4:18It requires a decent level of decency and humility and the
- 4:22ability to recognize another person.
- 4:23But it's better for you. It's beneficial for you.
- 4:26You can keep a decent, good relationship with everybody.
- 4:29And now you move into your inner circle and the community of
- 4:32people who actually are connected to you and you treat
- 4:35them with the same mindset. You'll have a massive,
- 4:39unbelievable fan club. It doesn't mean you'll be a a
- 4:42man of authority and a leader, but it does mean that all around
- 4:46you people will have a decent liking to you because you treat
- 4:49them with respect. That's his time.
- 4:50Let's man this point. You've seen it now about it by
- 4:56our page of 463. With this, we've clarified the
- 5:03the lead elements, elements of your move who pray to him.
- 5:11I will explain the details of humility, but hopefully I mean
- 5:14even all the details, all the particular issues and details
- 5:22that come up with humility right now.
- 5:26Of course, you, you know your own approach to humility, which
- 5:31means as much as the book wrote about humility, you can check
- 5:35every box and still be an arrogant guy.
- 5:37You can be a person you agree to every person.
- 5:40A person who doesn't want honor, doesn't want respect.
- 5:43You can be a personal talk softly.
- 5:45All that's true, but if you're not really humble inside, it's
- 5:48still a sketch. You have to always find new
- 5:51angles and what the words are, you schmuck ham yourself, like
- 5:57the ham hears and he builds upon.
- 5:59He finds his own degrees and his own angles to humility.
- 6:02Venus evata, you should know a Navarre is great.
- 6:11Humility is not just a good character trait and the best and
- 6:15what that on bomb says is the best and all that, it's very
- 6:18good because it avoids a lot of problems.
- 6:20When a person is humble, you look at the average little flare
- 6:25up that you deal with little flare up, little insult, little
- 6:29ruined hour, little hard day, the classic stuff that we all
- 6:33deal with, right? Look at most of them you pile on
- 6:37the humility, they go away you add the level of low key, they
- 6:42go away. If you apply the mindset that I
- 6:45don't need everyone to treat me like my Shias like the biggest
- 6:48deal, they go away so it's humility is not just a great
- 6:52character trait to to attain very deep into the book, right
- 6:56Chapter 22 deep into the book top level for a Jew.
- 7:01It's also a very effective tool to have a far greater life.
- 7:07Nobody realizes this, or enough it is.
- 7:11We have lives that for some odd reason can be filled with murky
- 7:16waters, can be filled with difficult days, can be filled
- 7:18with headaches and little upset flare ups.
- 7:21Or we have the same lives that can be smooth, can be cleaned,
- 7:26can be very healthy relationships, can be steady,
- 7:29can be consistent, can have a healthy mind, can be happy.
- 7:33And the difference is whether we allow those flare ups to come.
- 7:37And what are they based on? Humility, humility, humility.
- 7:41If I'm a smaller deal, if I don't need to be treated like my
- 7:44Shiah, if I don't need to be recognized all the time, you
- 7:46know what happens? All those things that hurt me,
- 7:50all those things that bother me, all those viewers that I have
- 7:54that I may not succeed in, you know, in name, they go away
- 7:59because I'm a regular guy. I'm a regular guy means an
- 8:02insult doesn't mean as much. A regular guy means a lack of
- 8:06respect doesn't make a difference to me.
- 8:08A regular guy means the the drive for success for the sake
- 8:14of success only is not there. I need to make money for my
- 8:17family, yes, but that other drive not there.
- 8:20All of a sudden, all the issues that are really driving at our
- 8:22head, We still have stress. We still have levels of anxiety,
- 8:28you still have things going on in life, but this part, it goes
- 8:31away and you have a far smoother, cleaner, healthier,
- 8:36happier life. You know what the real pursuit
- 8:38of happiness really comes from? The pursuit of happiness.
- 8:41The main pursuit is attained through your mood, through being
- 8:46a guy that doesn't expect much from other people.
- 8:50That's how it works. And it's so clear.
- 8:52It's tried and true by so many people.
- 8:54Look, he says, mesidah mieder khaldam mersholotrabin.
- 9:01It removes our person many stumbling blocks and it brings
- 9:09them closer to a lot of good things.
- 9:11Kihanna 'cause I'm a person yahush miat.
- 9:18He feels and is worried way very little about these things in
- 9:25life. He doesn't get upset with the
- 9:30mundane things and not only that, his friendship and his
- 9:36crew is a good crew and people like him.
- 9:44Naturally he's not going to angry as much fights and a cold
- 9:53basket. Life is peaceful.
- 9:55I called the Minucha. Everything has come.
- 9:59Could you imagine he's telling you like this your life for
- 10:03Amazon. You want to enjoy this world Two
- 10:07choices. You could seek everything
- 10:10prominence name recognition big deal public success, huge home
- 10:18may unbelievable car. You can seek it all and that
- 10:21hopefully will allow us to have in our minds degrees of
- 10:25happiness, but very tentative and very dangerous because in
- 10:30that in that pursuit, you run the risk of not making that
- 10:34money, not building the perfect home, not loving your car,
- 10:39someone else having a nicer car or a nicer home.
- 10:42A neighbor I drive on Ocean Parkway.
- 10:44I noticed something at different houses that are unbelievable.
- 10:47And then you look nearby and the houses are also almost
- 10:50unbelievable. And in my mind, I think to
- 10:52myself, imagine is I'm not going to anyone imagine.
- 10:56I built the almost unbelievable house first.
- 10:59And then my neighbor who's attached on one side builds
- 11:02unbelievable house. People don't realize this.
- 11:04If you're attached, people notice both houses.
- 11:06They don't see one separate than the other.
- 11:08So I'm looking at yours, you're almost unbelievable and I see
- 11:11his unbelievable. I never see you're almost
- 11:14unbelievable again. Never once it's never noticed.
- 11:17Isn't that a little bit discouraging?
- 11:19It's a little bit frustrating. It is if that's all you care
- 11:22about. If you built a nice house to
- 11:24enjoy your house, it's fine. But if you built it to be on
- 11:27that level, then you're running this risk.
- 11:31And so the pursuit of happiness in a natural sense runs so many
- 11:35risks where it's going to fall, claim out.
- 11:39A guy wants to be prominent now his life, he has spent his
- 11:42entire life to become CEO. Oh, he's not prominent.
- 11:46A guy who wants to be well known, he has to do a couple of
- 11:48moves to create. We have to be well known, a
- 11:52couple of moves to make him famous.
- 11:53And one bad move and it's famous goes the other way.
- 11:57So many things that we have to pursue and attain and build and
- 12:01work toward a much easier cut to the chase way to enjoy.
- 12:06All that. Just to say, be humble, be low
- 12:10key. Tell yourself I'm good.
- 12:13I enjoy this life as is. I'm perfectly content with the
- 12:17fact I'm a big deal in my mind. I'm not the biggest deal.
- 12:21I don't need to be the biggest deal.
- 12:22I don't need to be the best in everything.
- 12:25I don't need to be #1 in every area.
- 12:29Yeah, it's good to have a drive, sure.
- 12:31But it's not good to have this need because this need will
- 12:35require that the only way you can be content is if you have it
- 12:40all. The other way to be content is
- 12:43to be perfectly OK with the current state.
- 12:46How? Because I'm humble.
- 12:49So you have in front of you 2 choices, an endless pursuit or
- 12:54an immediate attaining your level.
- 12:56What's the decision? Simple question, am I OK being a
- 13:01regular guy? Am I good being?
- 13:05You know, it's a regular simple humble person.
- 13:09You know I'm good with that. I'm happy right now.
- 13:12Make me the point I meant so normally.
- 13:16Normally when you work on your midot, like we're doing over
- 13:20here and you're working on developing as a Jew, usually
- 13:24they don't tell you it's better for your life down here.
- 13:26They tell you it's better for becoming a better person.
- 13:29But for your life, you're sacrificing, you're hurting
- 13:32yourself. But listen, flash him as a Jew,
- 13:36you work on your character in this area.
- 13:39He's telling you it's not sacrifice, it's not hurting
- 13:42yourself. You're not taking yourself down.
- 13:45You're being smart. Life and pursuit of happiness,
- 13:49or life and happiness immediately.
- 13:52How? Because I'm a humble guy, I'm
- 13:54good. And these people live life in
- 13:57such a more beautiful way, I'm actually jealous of them because
- 14:02they don't get upset, they don't get insulted, they don't get
- 14:04hurt, they don't have. They're all ups and downs.
- 14:07They're not waiting on success. They don't need to be a big
- 14:10deal. They're perfectly fine with
- 14:12simplicity. And there's a jealousy here
- 14:14because that is beauty. Why?
- 14:16Because the end goal either track is happiness.
- 14:20You can jump 1,000,000 miles for happiness, or you can look right
- 14:23in front of your face and have the exact same happiness.
- 14:26All it depends on is attaining that degree of humility and its
- 14:30shapes everything. It's surprising that one
- 14:33character trait can do so much, Can stop anger, stop fights,
- 14:37stop arrogance, stop seeking prominence, stopping so much. 1
- 14:43character trait, yes, but it's true.
- 14:45One simple character trait can shape your entire existence to
- 14:51be a far happier, more content, more successful in your mind,
- 14:56more peaceful, and therefore healthier, clearer living life
- 15:01more. You live it up.
- 15:03You live it up this way in such a beautiful way when you are
- 15:06perfectly content in the life you live.
- 15:08Because think about any living up that you know of, right?
- 15:11You go on, take the most expensive vacation in the world.
- 15:16Most expensive vacation in the world probably is some hotel,
- 15:19right? A few $1000 a night, I don't
- 15:22know where. Some white sand beach, right.
- 15:26Some awesome, unbelievably calm place.
- 15:29Yeah, the goal sounds good. Sounds good.
- 15:33I think this is place to give him $10,000 a night.
- 15:35What else, right? The goal really and not even
- 15:40being to you. The goal is for your mind to be
- 15:43at ease. The ultimate, ultimate goal is
- 15:46for you to feel calm, peaceful. I'm not talking about a roller
- 15:49coaster, roller coaster entertainment, different,
- 15:51different animal. I'm talking about a good
- 15:55vacation for an adult. Calm, peaceful, pleasurable,
- 15:59relax, chilled, soft, cut out the world, not worry, not get
- 16:05angry, no pressure, beautiful sound and beautiful beach.
- 16:10Forget it. Sounds awesome, right?
- 16:12Sounds like I want to go true. The reality is the end game with
- 16:16that. If you're calm, you're happy,
- 16:19you're content, you're good. If you can build the world and
- 16:25you have these very similar level of happiness right here in
- 16:30Brooklyn, NY, with honking with a neighbor, with parking issues,
- 16:36with work, with family, with the weather, up and down right with
- 16:43funny politics where you can build the exact same world and
- 16:47many, many people can. And first of all, you save a lot
- 16:50of money. Second of all, this is really,
- 16:52that's my goal. So you can, this is the point.
- 16:55You could jump through 1000 hoops to get to that point, but
- 16:58you can stop right now. I mean, the exact same point.
- 17:01And if you think it sounds to you unattainable, it's not true.
- 17:04Many people out there have this capability.
- 17:07And in my mind, they're living it up.
- 17:10They're living it up like nobody else.
- 17:12They're living the life. They live a deal.
- 17:15So by the way, come say Brooklyn.
- 17:18He didn't say deal. Now I have a deal, boy.
- 17:22So that's in my bones. I happen to have a certain
- 17:26opinion about people who talk about moving.
- 17:29All right, you're right. Until you have that, a little
- 17:31more people talk about moving, moving.
- 17:35They say, OK, one day I'll move here, I'll move there, move the
- 17:38other place. You know what?
- 17:39They're showing you they're lacking this.
- 17:42You need this. And there are people.
- 17:44Doesn't mean you have to stick it out wherever you are forever
- 17:46doesn't have to deal with, you know, impossible neighbors and a
- 17:49crazy block or whatever. But it does mean content, how
- 17:54you own and we decided to move. You move, but not living your
- 17:57whole life. So many people looking to get
- 18:00out, all looking to the next step, and that's because their
- 18:04mind's not at ease. You want your mind to be at ease
- 18:07in a very healthy way. So much stronger, so much more
- 18:11powerful, so much more effective and so smarter.
- 18:15If you're here, you're present, you're focus, and the main key
- 18:18is your mood, right? That's the idea.
- 18:21I'm stopping this.
