- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, coming to you live from Alta, Monte Springs, Florida.
- 0:04Speaker 1: This is the Ember Show, your host Ember, and first
- 0:06Speaker 1: and foremost, before we get into the verses, let's go
- 0:09Speaker 1: ahead and get into prayer. Lord Father that arts in heaven,
- 0:11Speaker 1: I come to you in prayer to be able to
- 0:12Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this
- 0:14Speaker 1: mic and go through the listener's ears and be able
- 0:16Speaker 1: to reach their hearts and minds and be able to
- 0:19Speaker 1: apply these verses to their lives. And the Lord Jesus
- 0:22Speaker 1: Christ name I pray a men.
- 0:25Speaker 2: So we're closing up Proverbs.
- 0:27Speaker 1: It's been a great series. It's been wonderful episode after episode.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And by the end of this episode, we're going to
- 0:37Speaker 1: be able to see where we're going next. And I
- 0:41Speaker 1: say we because you the listener, you're a part of
- 0:44Speaker 1: this study with me as well, and the Spirit's going
- 0:48Speaker 1: to lead me in what is next.
- 0:53Speaker 2: We're closing out Proverbs chapter thirty one.
- 0:56Speaker 1: If you want to go ahead and grab your Bible
- 0:58Speaker 1: or get on the Bible app and read along as
- 0:59Speaker 1: you here along and let's jump in so we could
- 1:03Speaker 1: be able to close this out in fashion. And it's
- 1:07Speaker 1: been a wonderful day. Even though I'm going through different
- 1:12Speaker 1: emotions and different thoughts, I stay focused on him. Amen,
- 1:17Speaker 1: Jesus is king, and look what it says. Proverbs, chapter
- 1:21Speaker 1: thirty one, Good Advice to a King. Verse one states,
- 1:26Speaker 1: these are the words that King Lument's mother said to him,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and we're gonna try to see if we can actually
- 1:33Speaker 1: pronounce this correctly. Lee Muel's mother said to him. It
- 1:40Speaker 1: is an important message.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Verse two. Be careful, my dear son.
- 1:46Speaker 1: God answered my prayers when I gave birth to you.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Please listen carefully. Verse three.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Do not chase after women and lose your strength. Women
- 1:58Speaker 1: like that have destroyed kings. I love this because after
- 2:06Speaker 1: the mother of my child and that whole ordeal and relationship.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I'm not saying that she was in the complete wrong.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I was in the complete wrong, regardless.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I had to heal.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I was single for seven years and someone found me
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I got into a.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Long distance relationship.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And I say did because it is at this point
- 2:27Speaker 1: at a halt, and I.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Don't want to even say that it is completely.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Over, because there's been so many other times that we've
- 2:37Speaker 1: broken up and got back together. And I truthfully believe
- 2:41Speaker 1: that this woman is my soulmate and God in the
- 2:46Speaker 1: universe had this under control. I can't mess it up.
- 2:51Speaker 1: She can't mess it up, no matter what we have done,
- 2:54Speaker 1: no matter what we have said. I believe that we
- 2:56Speaker 1: belong together and we'll be together. And however that works,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and whenever that works, that's not in my control completely.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I just put faith in God, Jesus, in the Holy Spirit.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And when you're seeking for lust, when you're seeking for
- 3:13Speaker 1: a so called love and you get disappointed when the
- 3:20Speaker 1: person stops loving you or the person falls out of love, right,
- 3:24Speaker 1: it's anger at first, then you must process it. You
- 3:28Speaker 1: must process that the only person that's ever going to
- 3:32Speaker 1: truthfully love you, foolheartedly, no matter what you do, no
- 3:36Speaker 1: matter what you say, is Jesus Christ. And being obedient
- 3:43Speaker 1: to Jesus is key because the lighter that you may
- 3:49Speaker 1: get on him, the lighter he's gonna make it on you,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and you don't have to go through so many trials
- 3:52Speaker 1: and tribulations.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Amen.
- 3:54Speaker 1: But us people, we hold grudges, we get petty, we
- 3:58Speaker 1: get in arguments, We say things out of anger, and
- 4:02Speaker 1: we say things that we don't mean just to hurt
- 4:04Speaker 1: the other person. And that's not kind and I'm guilty
- 4:10Speaker 1: of that. You are guilty of that, and we have
- 4:12Speaker 1: to reconcile. And I know that I don't get my
- 4:16Speaker 1: words completely right all the time, but I get close enough,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and I'm not ashamed. I am not embarrassed. I'm also
- 4:25Speaker 1: not ashamed of my faith. I'm also not ashamed of
- 4:28Speaker 1: how I proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So verse
- 4:32Speaker 1: four states, listen, limel Kings should not drink lots of wine.
- 4:40Speaker 1: They should not want strong drink.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Verse five. When kings drink.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Alcohol, they forget to obey the law. They take away
- 4:49Speaker 1: justice for helpless people. As a recovering alcoholic, I know
- 4:54Speaker 1: this is true. Every time I drink alcoholically, and that
- 4:59Speaker 1: was a majority of my twenty year drinking career. I
- 5:03Speaker 1: totally lost sight of my morals and my faith. It
- 5:05Speaker 1: did not matter it was I didn't think about those things.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I was thinking about sin. I was thinking about lustful things.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And Verse six states, give strong drinks to people who
- 5:16Speaker 1: are dying, give wine to people who are very upset.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Verse seven.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Then they can forget how poor they are or how
- 5:24Speaker 1: sad they are.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Very relatable, very relatable.
- 5:28Speaker 1: There were so many times that I drank because I
- 5:31Speaker 1: was sad, and I also drank because I was trying
- 5:35Speaker 1: to forget my shortcomings, forgetting that I was working a
- 5:38Speaker 1: hard job and not getting paid what I should have been.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But I wanted to drink the week away, you know.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And verse eight goes into saying, speak on behalf of
- 5:48Speaker 1: people who cannot speak for themselves. Help helpless people to
- 5:51Speaker 1: receive justice. Verse nine, speak clearly to help them judge
- 5:57Speaker 1: people in a way that is fair and right.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Help poor and helpless people to receive justice. Now, when
- 6:03Speaker 2: we're talking.
- 6:04Speaker 1: About speak clearly to people does not mean that you're sweet,
- 6:10Speaker 1: does not mean that you are going to make people
- 6:12Speaker 1: comfortable all the time. You have to put some of
- 6:14Speaker 1: these people in place, because you're not only putting them
- 6:17Speaker 1: in place, you're putting their.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Demons to practice, to exercise. Right. Some people hold on
- 6:24Speaker 2: to these.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Certain characteristics of themselves, and characteristic defects are demons.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Let's just get to the point. A poem.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I love this because I am a poet and my
- 6:35Speaker 1: soulmate is too. A poem about a good wife.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Ha ha ha ha, Wow, this is spirit. I love you.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Verse ten.
- 6:44Speaker 1: How difficult is it to find a wife who is
- 6:47Speaker 1: truly wise, she is worth much more than valuable jewels.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Verse eleven in its ties right into it, her husband
- 6:58Speaker 1: trusts her to help him. He will have everything that
- 7:03Speaker 1: he needs. He will have everything.
- 7:06Speaker 2: That he needs.
- 7:08Speaker 1: A good wife encourages her husband, fills her husband, prays
- 7:15Speaker 1: for her husband, not only just to see what she
- 7:19Speaker 1: can get out of it financially. We know what those
- 7:21Speaker 1: types of women are, and it could be the other way.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Around as well. I'm not trying to be sexist here.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Let's just be real. This is a podcast, though, so
- 7:30Speaker 2: bear with me. We need to get on verse twelve,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and we're gonna close out here soon.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Thank you for listening to By the way, she does
- 7:39Speaker 1: good things for him every day of her life.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Let me repeat that sentence again.
- 7:43Speaker 1: She does good things for him every day of her life.
- 7:47Speaker 1: We're talking about a good wife, Okay, a good wife.
- 7:52Speaker 1: There's no such thing as a great wife. There's a
- 7:55Speaker 1: good wife and there's a bad wife. Let's just be real.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Verse thirteen.
- 8:02Speaker 2: No, we're not there yet. Twelve.
- 8:04Speaker 1: That was just the first sentence. She never tries to
- 8:08Speaker 1: hurt him. That's right after verse twelve's first sentence. She
- 8:13Speaker 1: does good things for him every day of her life.
- 8:16Speaker 1: She never tries to hurt him. Verse thirteen. She is
- 8:19Speaker 1: happy to work with her own hands to make clothes
- 8:23Speaker 1: with wool and lining linen.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Verse fourteen, she brings special food.
- 8:29Speaker 1: From far away, like a ship that travels across the sea.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Actions we're talking about here. We're not talking about just cooking.
- 8:40Speaker 1: We're not just talking about cooking a meal. It's about
- 8:42Speaker 1: how we speak, how we uplift, how we encourage.
- 8:49Speaker 2: There's a lot of that not going on in today's society.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Verse fifteen, she gets up while it is still night
- 8:56Speaker 1: and she prepares food for her family. She also gives
- 9:00Speaker 1: some to her female servants. She looks carefully at a
- 9:05Speaker 1: field and she decides to buy it. She uses her
- 9:09Speaker 1: own money to plant a vineyard. I'm just gonna keep going.
- 9:13Speaker 2: She is strong and she always works hard.
- 9:18Speaker 1: And we're in verse eighteen now, if you're still there
- 9:20Speaker 1: reading along Proverbs chapter thirty one. She knows how to
- 9:24Speaker 1: make money, as she buys and sells things even at night,
- 9:27Speaker 1: she is still working. Verse nineteen. She knows how to
- 9:31Speaker 1: make cloth. She gives money to poor and help list people.
- 9:38Speaker 1: All her family have worn.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Clothes to wear.
- 9:41Speaker 1: We're just going to where we at. Here, we're at
- 9:45Speaker 1: ten minutes, so I kind of just want to go
- 9:47Speaker 1: through this and just read it and just close out.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I want to close it out, which is reading it
- 9:52Speaker 1: all out, okay, because this is how.
- 9:55Speaker 2: We're going to close out.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I normally take about one to fifteen verses, So we
- 10:01Speaker 1: are at verse twenty verse twenty one. All her family
- 10:09Speaker 1: have warm clothes to wear. She is not afraid when
- 10:13Speaker 1: cold weather comes. She makes beautiful clothes to cover the beds.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Her own clothes are made with valuable lining in purple cloth.
- 10:24Speaker 1: People in the city respect her husband. He meets with
- 10:28Speaker 1: the other leaders at the city's gates. She uses lining
- 10:32Speaker 1: to make clothes and she sells them. She makes belts
- 10:36Speaker 1: to sell to traders. She shows her strength and people
- 10:42Speaker 1: respect her. She is not afraid of what will happen
- 10:45Speaker 1: in the future. When she speaks, she says wise words.
- 10:50Speaker 1: She is kind as she teaches.
- 10:52Speaker 2: People what is right.
- 10:53Speaker 1: She always works hard, and she takes care of her family.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Her children all all agree to thank her. Her husband
- 11:02Speaker 1: also praises her. He says, many women are wise and
- 11:05Speaker 1: they work well, but you are better than all of them.
- 11:09Speaker 1: We encouraging our women right amen. A woman may seem
- 11:13Speaker 1: to be beautiful, but that can deceive people. Her body
- 11:18Speaker 1: will not be beautiful forever. But a woman who respects
- 11:22Speaker 1: the Lord will fear with fear, will receive honor. Praise
- 11:28Speaker 1: her for everything that she has done. Everyone in the
- 11:31Speaker 1: city should know about her. They should praise her as
- 11:35Speaker 1: she deserves. Now we all can talk about how there
- 11:39Speaker 1: is so much that is the opposite of this right
- 11:42Speaker 1: when we're talking about I just closed it.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Out, you know, to praise her as what she deserves.
- 11:48Speaker 1: There's so many men and women that don't have a
- 11:52Speaker 1: great reputation, you know. And when we're talking about what
- 11:56Speaker 1: I just read as this beautiful poem, as we are
- 12:01Speaker 1: speaking about a poem about a good wife, this can also.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Go as a good husband too.
- 12:07Speaker 1: We work together, we create, we make, and we help
- 12:11Speaker 1: one another. We do not try to see what's.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Wrong and point out the flaws. And it says.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Nothing about that right about a good wife or a
- 12:25Speaker 1: good husband, anything that is good, It's difficult to find.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That's why it must find you and we all have
- 12:40Speaker 1: room for improvement. Right, as I go ahead and close out,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I got two minutes, and I want to take this
- 12:48Speaker 1: two minutes because I know that there is someone that
- 12:52Speaker 1: I love dearly that is listening. I want you to
- 12:56Speaker 1: know that I forgive you. I am sorry. I know
- 13:03Speaker 1: that things get tough in this relationship, and it doesn't
- 13:11Speaker 1: minimize anything that's been said that is godly, and I
- 13:16Speaker 1: want you to know that I will stay single. I
- 13:22Speaker 1: hope that you do too. I hope that we can
- 13:24Speaker 1: continue to work on each other and build up each
- 13:29Speaker 1: other even when we're not together, and one day we
- 13:32Speaker 1: meet together in person on God's time, not our time.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I know that you still love me. I still love you,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and that won't change. The separation is only going to
- 13:49Speaker 1: make the love stronger for both of us. I understand
- 13:54Speaker 1: that you are going through a crisis, and you can
- 13:58Speaker 1: say that this is a life crisis. You will make
- 14:02Speaker 1: it through. I will pray for you. I am not perfect.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I will not sit here and say that I will
- 14:09Speaker 1: be completely loyal in this separation, but I will tell
- 14:14Speaker 1: you this, once we ever connect again, it'll be just
- 14:19Speaker 1: like where we left off in a more positive light.
- 14:23Speaker 1: You are such a beautiful soul. I will always carry
- 14:28Speaker 1: you in my heart. If you choose to never speak
- 14:32Speaker 1: to me again, I can't say that I understand.
- 14:36Speaker 2: But I will respect it.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I will eventually stop reaching out and wait patiently for
- 14:45Speaker 1: your return, but I won't expect or. I will not
- 14:49Speaker 1: sit here and make it a big deal. But I
- 14:53Speaker 1: will show up and you will see me. You will
- 14:56Speaker 1: see me glow.
- 14:57Speaker 2: This is the Ember Show. Thank you for pressing play
