- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's your dose of the hottest influencer and pop culture
- 0:08Speaker 2: news twice a week. I'm Amy Torber and coming up
- 0:12Speaker 2: on today's show, Rachel Dillon and Toby Pearce have tied
- 0:15Speaker 2: the knot for a second time. Nadia Bartel and Bec
- 0:19Speaker 2: Judd's tanning win. Tommy Fury vows to win back Molly
- 0:23Speaker 2: May and our highs and lows.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Of the week. But first, Sophie Gwydlin has.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Hit back at critics who slammed her for submitting a
- 0:30Speaker 2: very demanding and contradictory job ad.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so Sophie is.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Currently on the hunt for a highly experienced executive assistant
- 0:38Speaker 2: and decided to release a three-page ad on her website. I,
- 0:42Speaker 2: for some reason, get a sick kick out of seeing
- 0:45Speaker 2: ad descriptions which are written by influencers, particularly those who
- 0:48Speaker 2: have never worked in corporate environments before. Well, I don't
- 0:51Speaker 2: think I've ever seen such a long ad description either.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I mean, when I see influencers creating job descriptions, they
- 0:58Speaker 2: do generally try to conflate these roles to make them
- 1:01Speaker 2: look important and I feel like they purposely put these
- 1:04Speaker 2: long lists of tasks and this is exactly what she
- 1:07Speaker 2: has done.
- 1:08Speaker 1: What is it like? Go and pick up my laundry,
- 1:10Speaker 1: answer my emails. Pretty much.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Before we get into the tasks though, I want to
- 1:14Speaker 2: point out that Sophie also linked the job description on
- 1:17Speaker 2: her Instagram story. And in response to a follower asking
- 1:21Speaker 2: about the new role, she wrote, guys, the amount of
- 1:23Speaker 2: DMs I've had from people has added so much to
- 1:25Speaker 2: my workload. This role I'm after is a unicorn position.
- 1:29Speaker 2: It's not for someone who wants to help me out or.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Lend a hand.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It's a very high level executive assistant slash second in
- 1:37Speaker 2: charge type position I need.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I have put the details here.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Please, please, please only reply if you have the right
- 1:43Speaker 2: skill set and experience as it unfortunately isn't a mentor role.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So is this her trying to tell her followers, look,
- 1:50Speaker 2: if you just want to be my friend and hang
- 1:52Speaker 2: out with me, this is not the role for you.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Pretty much.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I also think she is touching on this mentor role
- 1:57Speaker 2: thing because As we reported on last year, she has
- 2:01Speaker 2: started this online mentoring where she basically charges upwards of
- 2:05Speaker 2: 12 grand to mentor different followers. So I think what
- 2:10Speaker 2: she's trying to say is you won't be spending heaps
- 2:12Speaker 2: of time with me and learning off me because I
- 2:14Speaker 2: charge for that. Well, how much is she willing to
- 2:17Speaker 2: pay this person for this unicorn role? Well, it wasn't
- 2:21Speaker 2: outlined in the job description.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Of course it wasn't. But what really stood out.
- 2:24Speaker 2: To me is just how conflicting and contradictory this role
- 2:28Speaker 2: is because there's such a wide range of tasks that
- 2:31Speaker 2: this one individual is expected to do because they range
- 2:34Speaker 2: from really menial tasks to very demanding ones. So in
- 2:39Speaker 2: the description, it said in bold writing that the role
- 2:42Speaker 2: will not require personal or family support and that this
- 2:46Speaker 2: is purely a business position. But then it started to
- 2:50Speaker 2: dive into all of the personal errands that this assistant
- 2:53Speaker 2: will be required to run for the CEO, aka Sophie Gwydlin.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So the job description said that the applicant must wear
- 3:01Speaker 2: many hats, be a personal shopper, home manager, manage Sophie's
- 3:05Speaker 2: calendar and emails, and be the go-to fielder for every
- 3:09Speaker 2: single touchpoint from lawyers, teams, and accountants. It then continued
- 3:13Speaker 2: that the applicant must master logistics and handle everything, from
- 3:17Speaker 2: picking out the perfect gifts to orchestrating seamless travel plans.
- 3:21Speaker 2: That's a really fancy way of saying you will be
- 3:23Speaker 2: my personal shopper this Christmas and you will also book
- 3:27Speaker 2: all of my travel. It even listed personal errands saying
- 3:32Speaker 2: need the laundry folded question mark, schedule in the car detailing,
- 3:35Speaker 2: did the plants get watered, You're on it faster.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Than we can say go. Why does that just sound
- 3:41Speaker 1: so patronizing? It doesn't.
- 3:42Speaker 2: As you said, just so contradictory. So do you want
- 3:45Speaker 2: a high-flying exec to join your team or do you
- 3:48Speaker 2: want a butler? Well, I also have to point out
- 3:50Speaker 2: that in this job description, Sophie wrote that she wanted
- 3:53Speaker 2: them to water the pants instead of plants. which made
- 3:56Speaker 2: her subsequent line about needing an assistant who presents information
- 4:00Speaker 2: clearly with no errors even funnier. She may have to
- 4:04Speaker 2: add spell checker to the list of tasks that they
- 4:07Speaker 2: do for the CEO. Well, I wonder if she wrote
- 4:10Speaker 2: it or did it sound more like ChatGPT had written it?
- 4:13Speaker 2: I definitely think this was a ChatGPT job because it
- 4:16Speaker 2: just didn't sound like the normal way a job description
- 4:19Speaker 2: is written.
- 4:20Speaker 1: So much for this role not providing.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Personal support to Sophie because The description then went on
- 4:25Speaker 2: to say that as this position touches and manages.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Every corner of my life.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So you're saying that it doesn't, but then you're saying
- 4:32Speaker 2: that every corner of your life is being managed by
- 4:34Speaker 2: this person.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's all very odd.
- 4:36Speaker 2: And it seems like Sophie should be hiring two different
- 4:39Speaker 2: people for two different roles because on top of all
- 4:42Speaker 2: the personal life admin, the assistant is also required to essentially.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Run the whole show.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, because then it goes on to say that this
- 4:49Speaker 2: person needs to handle all of the day-to-day activities of
- 4:52Speaker 2: the business. and that they should also be open to
- 4:55Speaker 2: embracing the entrepreneurial lifestyle. I think this line really sums
- 4:59Speaker 2: up the whole job description because it said, you take
- 5:02Speaker 2: a lot of pride in your outcomes, whether that's booking
- 5:05Speaker 2: just the right dinner reservation or facilitating the final signing
- 5:09Speaker 2: of a business acquisition. This really shows the spectrum of
- 5:13Speaker 2: tasks that this assistant.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Is required to do. It sounds like she's asking for
- 5:16Speaker 1: a mind reader. It sounds almost like a partner. Like
- 5:20Speaker 1: a husband or a mom? Yeah, a mom or dad.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Well, this job ad went on further and it said
- 5:26Speaker 2: that the perfect candidate must crave personal growth without ever
- 5:30Speaker 2: wanting to be the CEO. So what she's basically saying
- 5:34Speaker 2: is you'll be doing all of the tasks of the CEO,
- 5:36Speaker 2: but not getting paid the CEO salary.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And also, don't you dare come for my job. That's
- 5:42Speaker 1: what it feels like.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Isn't that most workplaces though, where you're doing all the
- 5:44Speaker 2: work and getting paid less than the CEO? But then
- 5:47Speaker 2: it's weird to say, oh, you know, you should be
- 5:48Speaker 2: motivated and want personal growth, but don't ever take the
- 5:51Speaker 2: top job.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Like that just seems bizarre.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I just want to know who ends up getting this
- 5:55Speaker 2: job and what kind of experience this person actually has. Now,
- 5:58Speaker 2: one request that a lot of people are talking about
- 6:00Speaker 2: slash laughing about online is that the assistant must.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Protect the time and energy of the CEO. So how
- 6:07Speaker 1: the fuck do you do that?
- 6:08Speaker 2: I have, is that just doing all of their jobs
- 6:10Speaker 2: and like not bringing stress to them?
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm so confused. I just hate all of this wanky, airy,
- 6:16Speaker 1: fairy language.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I mean, this would be a really difficult cover letter
- 6:20Speaker 2: to write a job application for. A lot of people
- 6:22Speaker 2: are saying that this reminds them of The Devil Wears Prada,
- 6:25Speaker 2: where they've got the boss who basically will fire anyone
- 6:27Speaker 2: if they make the slightest mistake.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Now, Soph, you.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Mentioned earlier that there was no wage listed on Sophie's website. However,
- 6:34Speaker 2: one eagle-eyed follower of Sophie's said they saw this advertisement
- 6:38Speaker 2: on Seek and that the job offering was between $ 60, 000
- 6:42Speaker 2: to $ 80, 000 a year.
- 6:44Speaker 1: But it's not clear how accurate this is.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Yeah, because Sophie has since come out and clarified that
- 6:49Speaker 2: the role has a salary ranging between $ 110, 000 to $ 180, 000
- 6:53Speaker 2: depending on the experience of the person she hires.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Wow. So that's actually not that bad.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I mean, this person is responsible for reorganizing Sophie's whole life. Well,
- 7:03Speaker 2: you'd want them to be paid a bit, but I
- 7:04Speaker 2: wonder if she's just coming out saying that now because
- 7:06Speaker 2: she never listed the wage, but now suddenly, oh no,
- 7:09Speaker 2: it is very high paying. It's rather interesting because since
- 7:12Speaker 2: all of the backlash, Sophie has had to come out
- 7:14Speaker 2: and explain this job ad So she actually said that
- 7:17Speaker 2: she was inspired by other ads she's seen entrepreneurs and
- 7:21Speaker 2: business experts like Gary Vee put out there. So I
- 7:24Speaker 2: wonder how much inspiration she actually took from them. Like,
- 7:27Speaker 2: did she try and reword things that they'd written or
- 7:30Speaker 2: did she just take slabs from what they'd written? I
- 7:32Speaker 2: don't think Gary Vee's ever writing a three page advert though,
- 7:37Speaker 2: because he's always one who's talking about cutting the bullshit.
- 7:41Speaker 1: But You know what?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Now that she's clarified that the role is worth $ 110
- 7:45Speaker 2: to $ 180, I think she's going to get a lot
- 7:47Speaker 2: of people coming forward who are open to watering her
- 7:50Speaker 2: plants and booking her dinner.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But is she going to get the right sort of person?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Because if you're super experienced and you're used to doing
- 7:56Speaker 2: jobs that are at the higher end, are they really
- 7:58Speaker 2: going to want to do these menial jobs and be
- 8:00Speaker 2: going out picking presents for her and watering her plants,
- 8:03Speaker 2: et cetera?
- 8:05Speaker 3: Fun fact, I'm not actually legally married, but I'm about
- 8:09Speaker 3: to be and I'm going to take you guys with me.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Fitness influencer Rachel Dillon and entrepreneur Toby Pearce have tied
- 8:16Speaker 2: the knot for a second time in the space of
- 8:18Speaker 2: six months. Now, back in May, the couple got married
- 8:21Speaker 2: in a very lavish ceremony overlooking the Amalfi Coast. However,
- 8:25Speaker 2: the ceremony wasn't legally binding. Here's what Rachel said.
- 8:29Speaker 3: You guys know I got married in Italy, but trying
- 8:33Speaker 3: to get legally married there was just super complicated. We
- 8:35Speaker 3: have to get legally married here in Australia and it's
- 8:38Speaker 3: taken months to be able to get an appointment.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I'm not surprised by this because I have heard a
- 8:44Speaker 2: number of influencers discuss just how difficult it is to
- 8:47Speaker 2: legally get married overseas because there are some foreign authorities
- 8:51Speaker 2: who expect couples to have a period of residency over
- 8:54Speaker 2: in that country before they actually allow them to marry
- 8:58Speaker 2: legally there. Yeah. And some countries also require for a
- 9:01Speaker 2: couple to be of the same faith that's recognized by
- 9:04Speaker 2: the government. There's also some additional legal requirements such as
- 9:08Speaker 2: providing freedom to marry. So it can get very complicated.
- 9:11Speaker 2: So We have this year seen a lot of influencers
- 9:14Speaker 2: going to the registry office before they tie the knot overseas,
- 9:18Speaker 2: but this is quite interesting that they tied the knot after.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I wonder if it made it more special.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I think so, because it seems a little bit anticlimactic
- 9:26Speaker 2: if you go over for this beautiful wedding and you're like, well, actually,
- 9:29Speaker 2: technically we're already married. And I had to laugh because I,
- 9:34Speaker 2: for some reason, thought that Rachel might be one of
- 9:36Speaker 2: those girls who made this huge effort for the registry office,
- 9:39Speaker 2: like at least wearing maybe a white dress. But she
- 9:41Speaker 2: turned up in a black shoulder top with jeans and
- 9:45Speaker 2: Toby wore a white T-shirt. You could tell that he
- 9:47Speaker 2: had just snuck out of a work meeting or something
- 9:49Speaker 2: to attend this Brisbane registry office.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I mean, Rachel would look good in a paper bag.
- 9:54Speaker 1: She looked insane.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And she actually revealed that her toxic trait is that
- 9:58Speaker 2: she's always late.
- 10:00Speaker 1: A girl after my own heart.
- 10:01Speaker 2: And Toby warned her that she couldn't be late to
- 10:03Speaker 2: their wedding, particularly because it had taken them so long
- 10:06Speaker 2: to get this booking. And she did a TikTok where
- 10:09Speaker 2: she took people along for the ride and she was
- 10:11Speaker 2: only a couple of minutes late.
- 10:12Speaker 1: But I think that the bride is always allowed to be.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And there were only three people in attendance. yet the
- 10:17Speaker 2: room was filled with white empty chairs. So it was
- 10:20Speaker 2: Rachel's mum who walked her down the aisle and they
- 10:23Speaker 2: seemed to take the piss a little bit because they
- 10:25Speaker 2: were waving to their imaginary guests in this very empty room. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 2: I like that they had some fun with it because,
- 10:32Speaker 2: as you said, Amy, there's some influencers who seem to
- 10:34Speaker 2: take the whole registry moment so seriously, but it's clear
- 10:38Speaker 2: that they just really wanted a chance to make it official.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I mean, it was in total contrast to.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Their very lavish wedding in Italy where I found it
- 10:46Speaker 2: weird because they included a very close up shot of
- 10:49Speaker 2: their signatures on the marriage certificate.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I don't know if this is just an old school thing,
- 10:54Speaker 1: but do people forge people's signatures anymore?
- 10:56Speaker 2: Because you could clearly practice their signatures and they're both
- 10:59Speaker 2: worth a lot of money. Now that you've just given
- 11:01Speaker 2: people a lot of ideas, maybe people will be going
- 11:03Speaker 2: and looking at that.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I don't think it matters as much anymore because it's
- 11:07Speaker 2: not like people use cheques.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yeah, true.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Like what would you really need to sign off?
- 11:12Speaker 2: And I suppose like some legal documents.
- 11:14Speaker 1: But I don't know. I just saw that and I
- 11:16Speaker 1: was like, Oh, I hope that's okay.
- 11:18Speaker 2: As part of this video, Rachel also revealed some things
- 11:22Speaker 2: that she would have done differently if she had her
- 11:24Speaker 2: wedding in Italy again. And she did preface that she
- 11:27Speaker 2: loved every single moment, but if she had her time again,
- 11:30Speaker 2: she would have read their vows privately and also left
- 11:33Speaker 2: more time for photos. Oh my gosh, I agree with
- 11:36Speaker 2: her because I watched this video and I was like,
- 11:37Speaker 2: that is so true about photos because it's such a
- 11:40Speaker 2: rush before you actually go to your ceremony. And I
- 11:43Speaker 2: think it's because you spend so much time doing the
- 11:45Speaker 2: hair and makeup that there's that small window of opportunity
- 11:49Speaker 2: to get those perfect photos with.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Your bridal party. And it's always a stress.
- 11:53Speaker 2: If I was super rich, I reckon I would just
- 11:55Speaker 2: have a couple of days before the wedding, get all
- 11:58Speaker 2: your photos out the way, get everything done on a
- 12:00Speaker 2: separate day and then just enjoy the party. Like that
- 12:03Speaker 2: would make so much more sense. I also agree with
- 12:06Speaker 2: the reading of the vows because I think because everyone.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Now does vows and then usually the couple now speaks
- 12:13Speaker 1: as well.
- 12:14Speaker 2: And sometimes you can be going over the same points
- 12:17Speaker 2: or I don't know, it just feels like you're really putting.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Yourself out there.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen all these TikToks and people are like,
- 12:22Speaker 2: nobody realizes until the big day that your wedding day
- 12:25Speaker 2: is actually very embarrassing.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It is embarrassing.
- 12:28Speaker 2: You have to say all of this stuff and you've
- 12:30Speaker 2: got to think. Some of the people at your wedding,
- 12:32Speaker 2: they're like you've, friends of your parents and.
- 12:36Speaker 1: They're like aunties and uncles.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Or the people who just say this sort of stuff
- 12:39Speaker 2: in front of about your partner.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 2: And a lot of the time it's the older generation
- 12:43Speaker 2: who generally don't put their feelings out there who are
- 12:46Speaker 2: probably like, wow.
- 12:47Speaker 1: This is a lot, isn't it? This is lame.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Oh God.
- 12:52Speaker 3: One of my close friends tanned her and went to
- 12:54Speaker 3: the hotel and she was just so down to earth.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Now, Sophie, the other week we spoke about Katy Perry's
- 13:00Speaker 2: tanning experience while she was in Australia and So right
- 13:03Speaker 2: before her big show at the AFL grand final, she
- 13:06Speaker 2: received a spray tan from a company called Spray Oz and.
- 13:10Speaker 1: The founder shared her excitement on TikTok.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Now this company was founded in 2014 by Emily McKay
- 13:17Speaker 2: and Ellie Pearson, but it's also co-owned by your favorite people, Sophie,
- 13:21Speaker 2: Nadia Bartel and Bec Jard. So they came on board
- 13:24Speaker 2: in 2015 and boy has this business done well. I'm
- 13:28Speaker 2: not saying it's just because of Nadia and Beck.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Well, it probably helps. Yeah, it has expanded. They've now
- 13:34Speaker 1: got four stores in Melbourne.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And Nadia recently did an interview on The Morning Show,
- 13:39Speaker 2: and she revealed just how lucrative their spray tanning of
- 13:43Speaker 2: Katy Perry has been.
- 13:44Speaker 1: No, she wore a pair of earrings as well from
- 13:47Speaker 1: a certain brand. And their sales have gone off as well.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we've had so much interest because we're really trying
- 13:52Speaker 3: to launch the brand overseas.
- 13:53Speaker 1: So I think that will really help us in the future.
- 13:56Speaker 2: As someone who is quite a connoisseur of fake tans,
- 13:59Speaker 2: I can see why, because Katie had.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Such a deep orange. Well, I don't want to say orange, actually.
- 14:05Speaker 1: That's quite bad.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Not an orange tan, but just a deep tan that
- 14:08Speaker 2: was really nice. It really popped on the grand final day.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Especially with the white that she was wearing.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it looked so good.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And the founder of Spray Oz, she shared a TikTok
- 14:16Speaker 2: of Katie who popped up at Paris Fashion Week days
- 14:19Speaker 2: after her appearance at the AFL grand final.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And her tan was still popping. Do we know if
- 14:25Speaker 1: it was the same tan though? Well, they're claiming that
- 14:27Speaker 1: it was the same tan.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Sometimes you can get a professional spray tan that looks
- 14:31Speaker 2: great for the first two days, but then I noticed
- 14:33Speaker 2: that it seems to fade very quickly unless you take
- 14:36Speaker 2: proper care of it. Now, the amazing thing about this
- 14:39Speaker 2: story is that now Nadia has revealed Oz spray tan
- 14:43Speaker 2: are getting all of these requests from international clients. And
- 14:47Speaker 2: this is because The video of Katy Perry appearing at
- 14:50Speaker 2: the AFL grand final has received over 2.2 million views
- 14:54Speaker 2: on YouTube. And it's also had over 4 million collective
- 14:57Speaker 2: views on the AFL's TikTok account. So a lot of
- 15:00Speaker 2: international people are seeing Katy's tan. They're then linking it
- 15:04Speaker 2: back to that tanning TikTok video.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And they're saying, I want this tan.
- 15:08Speaker 2: And so Nadia has said they now have plans to
- 15:10Speaker 2: launch the brand overseas, which is huge.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'm kind of keen to try out the tan now.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Well you can get it online. Yeah I'm definitely going
- 15:18Speaker 1: to try it. Hello guys and welcome back to the channel.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Today I'm going to take you along in a little
- 15:24Speaker 1: bit of day in the life.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Tommy Fury has attempted to set the record straight following
- 15:29Speaker 2: his split from UK influencer Molly May.
- 15:32Speaker 1: In an exclusive interview with the Daily.
- 15:34Speaker 2: Mail just days before the release of his autobiography Tommy
- 15:38Speaker 2: declared he will keep fighting to win Molly back. Now, Sophie,
- 15:42Speaker 2: this autobiography is the one that Tommy was recording the
- 15:45Speaker 2: audio book of when Molly announced the couple split on Instagram.
- 15:48Speaker 2: There's been so many jokes about this book online because
- 15:51Speaker 2: a lot of people said that they didn't believe that
- 15:53Speaker 2: Tommy could actually read.
- 15:54Speaker 1: So how is he actually recording? That's a bit unfair.
- 15:57Speaker 2: What's amusing is Tommy has actually come out and said, look,
- 15:59Speaker 2: I am not the reading type at all.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I've only ever read two books in my whole life.
- 16:05Speaker 2: One of those being the Bible and another one of
- 16:07Speaker 2: those being a children's book called The Tigers Who Came
- 16:10Speaker 2: to Tea. Wait, are we counting children's books? Yeah, but
- 16:13Speaker 2: he's counting it. So he said this is a book
- 16:15Speaker 2: that he reads to Bambi. But thankfully for this autobiography,
- 16:19Speaker 2: Tommy has sat down with a ghostwriter who has basically
- 16:22Speaker 2: penned the novel.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's what all celebrities and influencers do. They
- 16:26Speaker 1: all have ghostwriters. At the core, it's his story we
- 16:30Speaker 1: want to hear though. We want to hear all of
- 16:32Speaker 1: the scandalous details.
- 16:33Speaker 2: And it seems like his ghostwriter has probably been quite
- 16:37Speaker 2: busy over the past couple of weeks because they would
- 16:39Speaker 2: be inserting a lot of this drama into the book.
- 16:41Speaker 2: There's one more chapter that has been added to the
- 16:44Speaker 2: book and we will get to one of the very
- 16:46Speaker 2: juicy excerpts of this book. But I want to touch
- 16:48Speaker 2: on these cheating rumours that Tommy has spoken out about.
- 16:51Speaker 2: So long-time listeners of Outspoken will know that Tommy has
- 16:54Speaker 2: been plagued by cheating rumours since the split But he
- 16:58Speaker 2: has denied every one of them. And Molly has also
- 17:01Speaker 2: stayed tight-lipped on the reason for the breakdown of the relationship.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Like the queen she is, she has told her YouTube
- 17:07Speaker 2: followers she's staying quiet for the sake of their one-year-old daughter, Bambi.
- 17:11Speaker 1: So this Daily Mail.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Article, Sophie, is so juicy. The journalist called Jenny Johnson,
- 17:16Speaker 2: which I'm sorry, that is clearly a fake name. Well,
- 17:19Speaker 2: I'm so surprised that he would do an interview with
- 17:22Speaker 2: the Daily Mail considering they were at the forefront of
- 17:25Speaker 2: posting a lot of those scandalous cheating rumours. Well, it's
- 17:28Speaker 2: because it's some huge ad for his autobiography. And obviously
- 17:32Speaker 2: they agreed to do it just to ask the questions
- 17:34Speaker 2: about Molly. And this journalist, she hit Tommy hard with
- 17:36Speaker 2: the questions. So she started with the cheating rumours, which
- 17:39Speaker 2: he has shot down. So he said the allegations were
- 17:42Speaker 2: made up and completely false.
- 17:44Speaker 1: And he said, I quote, the truth will come out
- 17:46Speaker 1: in time.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And when it does, I think a lot of people
- 17:49Speaker 2: might regret their actions and unkind words.
- 17:52Speaker 1: The whole world will, I reckon.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I do feel a bit uncomfortable about all of the
- 17:56Speaker 2: trolling he's been receiving.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I know you can have a bit of a laugh
- 17:59Speaker 1: and have a bit of fun.
- 18:01Speaker 2: With it, but some of the people who are sending
- 18:03Speaker 2: him death threats are every single day.
- 18:06Speaker 1: It's just going a bit too far.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It is. It's quite ominous though, those words. I mean, like,
- 18:10Speaker 2: are we going to feel really terrible? Is he implying
- 18:13Speaker 2: that Molly has done something or is he implying there's
- 18:15Speaker 2: some other issue?
- 18:16Speaker 1: I just don't even know.
- 18:17Speaker 2: But Molly basically came out and danced around the fact
- 18:20Speaker 2: that he cheated on her.
- 18:21Speaker 1: She made it fairly obvious that that's what has gone down.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I wonder if it's because he's so delusional and he
- 18:27Speaker 2: thinks that Molly may take him back and then she'll
- 18:29Speaker 2: come out.
- 18:30Speaker 1: And have to lie and say, oh no, nothing untoward happened.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Well, when Tommy was asked directly whether he cheated, he said,
- 18:36Speaker 2: absolutely not. I think if you were going to cheat
- 18:38Speaker 2: on someone, you should just sit down and say, I
- 18:41Speaker 2: don't love you anymore. Clearly because you want to go
- 18:43Speaker 2: and pursue other people. When you get to that stage,
- 18:46Speaker 2: I think you should just call it a day. If
- 18:48Speaker 2: you want to go there and have affairs with women
- 18:50Speaker 2: and then you definitely shouldn't be with your partner.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Definitely not. And have I ever reached that point?
- 18:55Speaker 2: No. That is very solid advice from someone who has
- 18:58Speaker 2: been accused of cheating.
- 19:00Speaker 1: We don't know if he has cheated.
- 19:02Speaker 2: And he was also asked whether he's ever been tempted
- 19:04Speaker 2: to cheat on Molly. And he responded, no, never. And
- 19:07Speaker 2: then he said that Molly was the perfect woman. So
- 19:10Speaker 2: he is clearly trying to win her back during this publicity.
- 19:13Speaker 2: He has declared that he's going to win her back.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So he also added, We were together for five and
- 19:17Speaker 2: a half years. You don't stay with someone, have a
- 19:19Speaker 2: child with them, get engaged if it's only a bit
- 19:21Speaker 2: of a fling.
- 19:22Speaker 1: It is proper love. Do I still love Molly? 100%.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I will love her until my final breath.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Why is this reminding me of the Jordan Simi and
- 19:31Speaker 2: Sammy Robinson boxing fight where he had a fight to
- 19:35Speaker 2: try and win her back.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Are we going to see the same thing?
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, he literally told the publication that he wants
- 19:40Speaker 2: to win her back. He said he knows what he
- 19:42Speaker 2: has to do to resolve things and it's all down
- 19:44Speaker 2: to him. He said, nobody else can do this other
- 19:47Speaker 2: than me. Look, if he hasn't cheated, what does it
- 19:50Speaker 2: come down to then? Why can't he tell us what
- 19:52Speaker 2: the reason for the breakup is then? Well, he touched
- 19:55Speaker 2: on that question slightly because he said, what the public
- 19:57Speaker 2: thinks is going on isn't what is going on. It's
- 20:00Speaker 2: not something I envisaged happening, but it didn't come out
- 20:03Speaker 2: of nowhere. It's a thing that was there previously and
- 20:06Speaker 2: to all this happening. But the only people who know
- 20:08Speaker 2: what is going on in our relationship is me and Molly.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I wonder if it's to do with his partying because
- 20:13Speaker 2: anyone who watches Molly's YouTube channel knows that she's very
- 20:16Speaker 2: much a homebody and she doesn't really drink. Whereas Tommy
- 20:20Speaker 2: loves to be out and about with his friends at nightclubs.
- 20:22Speaker 2: We saw that viral clip of him with Chris Brown.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Maybe the partying and the going out is at the
- 20:28Speaker 2: core of this, not necessarily the cheating.
- 20:30Speaker 1: But I mean, to me, they both tie in. I'm
- 20:32Speaker 1: not buying all of this.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Well, Molly has said previously in her YouTube vlogs that
- 20:36Speaker 2: she and Tommy have had issues with his partying in
- 20:38Speaker 2: the past, that it really has been an issue for
- 20:40Speaker 2: her because she doesn't like to go out to the club.
- 20:42Speaker 1: But Tommy touched on.
- 20:44Speaker 2: His partying ways in this interview and he said, it's nothing,
- 20:47Speaker 2: isn't it? I think every 20 year old, 23 year
- 20:49Speaker 2: old lad in the country is in a club.
- 20:51Speaker 1: And believe it or not, it was work. Oh, so
- 20:53Speaker 1: he was doing paid appearances. I hate that. Oh, it's
- 20:56Speaker 1: my job. It's my work. I must go out here
- 20:58Speaker 1: and party and drink. I must speak to these young
- 21:01Speaker 1: girls at the pub.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Or just moving on to Tommy's autobiography, because it goes
- 21:06Speaker 2: on sale officially today. And so far, there are media
- 21:09Speaker 2: outlets which have dropped very juicy excerpts from Tommy's book.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I mean, no one really cares about his boxing career,
- 21:14Speaker 2: do they? Oh my God, I'm going to download this
- 21:16Speaker 2: as soon as I get in the car. We'll do
- 21:18Speaker 2: a recap on what actually goes down on this. But
- 21:19Speaker 2: I don't want to listen to all the boring parts
- 21:21Speaker 2: about his boxing.
- 21:22Speaker 1: You fast forward. That's why you do audiobook.
- 21:25Speaker 2: So in this excerpt, Tommy revealed that whilst trying to
- 21:27Speaker 2: surprise Molly with his proposal in 2023, she believed she'd
- 21:31Speaker 2: caught him out cheating on her. So Tommy had put
- 21:34Speaker 2: in a lot of effort to keep the proposal a surprise.
- 21:37Speaker 2: and he'd roped in her manager, Fran. So they were
- 21:39Speaker 2: pretending that they were taking Molly to a brand event,
- 21:42Speaker 2: and they even created these fake invites. And I remember
- 21:45Speaker 2: Molly talking about this whole surprise in one of her vlogs.
- 21:48Speaker 1: So while in the car, Molly.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Asked Tommy if she could have a look at the
- 21:51Speaker 2: pictures on his phone, because they just had taken a
- 21:54Speaker 2: whole load at their house. Tommy said he panicked because
- 21:57Speaker 2: his camera roll was full of photos he had previously
- 22:00Speaker 2: taken of the proposal set up, and he made a
- 22:02Speaker 2: lame excuse saying, that he couldn't hand his phone over
- 22:05Speaker 2: because he was in the middle of a texting debate
- 22:07Speaker 2: with his dad about a fight contract. So Molly didn't
- 22:11Speaker 2: believe this and assumed that Tommy must be messaging another woman.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And she spoke about this on her engagement vlog.
- 22:17Speaker 2: But what we didn't hear is how bad this argument got.
- 22:20Speaker 2: So Tommy wrote, I was fuming. I couldn't believe she
- 22:23Speaker 2: would think that. But also I reminded myself that I
- 22:26Speaker 2: was acting shifty. So it was fair enough. 10 minutes
- 22:29Speaker 2: before I was due to propose, we were in the
- 22:31Speaker 2: middle of this blazing row.
- 22:32Speaker 1: This seems to happen a lot with proposals.
- 22:34Speaker 2: The person being proposed to, they get the vibe that
- 22:38Speaker 2: this energy or something is off with their partner. And
- 22:40Speaker 2: quite often men being stupid, they'll think, oh, I'm going
- 22:44Speaker 2: to take my partner away for this romantic holiday, but
- 22:47Speaker 2: I'm not going to propose on the holiday. I'll propose
- 22:49Speaker 2: the following week, which usually causes a lot of tension.
- 22:53Speaker 1: No one wants that. No, just propose on the holiday.
- 22:55Speaker 1: It's obvious anyway.
- 22:56Speaker 2: The most awkward thing about this car ride was they
- 22:59Speaker 2: were being taken by a driver who would have been
- 23:01Speaker 2: able to hear this whole fight kicking off. And he
- 23:03Speaker 2: was part of this whole plan. So Tommy said that
- 23:06Speaker 2: the driver... just continued with the mission. And he drove
- 23:09Speaker 2: the pair up on top of this cliff at the
- 23:11Speaker 2: back of the hotel. And this is where Tommy got
- 23:13Speaker 2: down on one knee. And even more awkwardly, Tommy revealed
- 23:17Speaker 2: that when he jumped out of the car, he shut
- 23:19Speaker 2: the door to stop Molly from following him. And he
- 23:22Speaker 2: said this made things 10 times worse because at this stage,
- 23:25Speaker 2: Molly was crying and she thought he had abandoned her.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Doesn't this just.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Show how fake social media is? Because You watch the
- 23:32Speaker 2: proposal video and it all looks perfect and, you know,
- 23:36Speaker 2: those tears.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Were probably from her being pissed off.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Yeah, because remember, their proposal video was shot by some
- 23:42Speaker 2: renowned videographer in the UK.
- 23:44Speaker 1: It was this beautiful black and white piece.
- 23:46Speaker 2: She looked so happy and it just sheds a really
- 23:48Speaker 2: new light on this whole video. I'm really interested to
- 23:51Speaker 2: see if Molly responds to this at all, whether it's
- 23:54Speaker 2: in a cryptic Instagram post or something on her YouTube channel.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Surely.
- 23:59Speaker 2: She is going to want to rebut this because I
- 24:02Speaker 2: have just seen so many articles lately saying, oh, Tommy
- 24:04Speaker 2: and Molly are getting back together. Well, if I was
- 24:07Speaker 2: her and Tommy has cheated, I'd be pretty pissed off
- 24:10Speaker 2: he was coming out to the media with all this
- 24:12Speaker 2: crap about, oh, I'd never cheat and I want her back.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Just to sell his autobiography.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Do you? Okay.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Question, would you want them to get back together?
- 24:20Speaker 2: I mean, I kind of would be happy because they
- 24:22Speaker 2: have a child together and if he hasn't cheated and
- 24:25Speaker 2: if there's something they can work on in their marriage,
- 24:27Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Opposed to them getting back together.
- 24:29Speaker 2: What do you also think about the theory that people
- 24:31Speaker 2: are saying that both of them have just had this
- 24:33Speaker 2: huge fake breakup for publicity because.
- 24:36Speaker 1: It was quite interesting timing.
- 24:38Speaker 2: The fact that he is bringing out a autobiography that
- 24:41Speaker 2: really no one would be interested in until this breakups happen.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Like I would not have downloaded it. They don't need
- 24:47Speaker 1: the cash that badly. Let's get into our highs and
- 24:52Speaker 1: lows of the week.
- 24:53Speaker 2: And my low of the week is bees. It's obviously
- 24:56Speaker 2: spring at the moment and I live in the hills
- 24:58Speaker 2: and we have just had so many bees in our garden.
- 25:02Speaker 2: And I'm so paranoid about our dog getting bitten by them.
- 25:05Speaker 2: My partner will always be on bee duty. So he
- 25:08Speaker 2: is always making sure that there's no bees on the lawn.
- 25:11Speaker 2: We have a little area for Archie. And it was
- 25:14Speaker 2: quite funny because I won't go too much into it. Otherwise,
- 25:17Speaker 2: he will be not happy with me. But my partner
- 25:19Speaker 2: hurt his toe a couple of days ago in quite
- 25:22Speaker 2: a dramatic fashion.
- 25:22Speaker 1: We stubbed his little pinky toe. He stubbed his little
- 25:25Speaker 1: baby toe.
- 25:26Speaker 2: And I've been having a bit of a laugh about
- 25:28Speaker 2: that because he said his foot is so bruised and
- 25:31Speaker 2: it It's very painful to walk and of course I
- 25:33Speaker 2: gave him.
- 25:34Speaker 1: A lot of sympathy for it.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I then copped a message when we were out on
- 25:38Speaker 2: a walk saying, oh my God, and I've also stepped
- 25:40Speaker 2: on a bee and it's the same foot.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Doesn't that just bring you back to childhood, stepping on bees? Yeah,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I haven't had a.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Bee sting for ages, but that being said, Just as
- 25:49Speaker 2: we were recording this episode, Sophie's like, is that a
- 25:52Speaker 2: bee at your window?
- 25:53Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, I don't have any bees. This
- 25:55Speaker 1: shows you have to listen to me. There were two bees.
- 25:58Speaker 1: I don't even know how they got in. I think
- 25:59Speaker 1: maybe down the chimney or something. Yeah, there's so many
- 26:02Speaker 1: bees out at the moment. Be careful, everyone.
- 26:04Speaker 2: My high of the week has been online shopping for
- 26:06Speaker 2: my new summer wardrobe.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I don't know if anyone else is like me, but
- 26:09Speaker 1: I will.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Spend hours and hours and hours scrolling through different outfits
- 26:14Speaker 2: and I get such a kick out of it. But
- 26:16Speaker 2: then I will never actually buy anything. Like I'll add
- 26:19Speaker 2: all of these options to my basket but then think
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'm going to come back to it because my whole
- 26:24Speaker 2: philosophy now is that like I previously.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Could be quite impulsive and be like, I'm just going
- 26:29Speaker 1: to get that. And then I end up hating the
- 26:32Speaker 1: thing I've bought. Or I have to come down with
- 26:34Speaker 1: you to return it at the shop.
- 26:35Speaker 2: I've got so many vouchers at the moment because you
- 26:38Speaker 2: know when they return the things for you?
- 26:40Speaker 1: Oh, that's the worst. Anyway, that is my high of
- 26:42Speaker 1: the week.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Wait, so have you actually done any purchasing or you've
- 26:45Speaker 2: just been perusing? No, I have.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I've been perusing.
- 26:47Speaker 2: This has been an ongoing thing for weeks now because
- 26:50Speaker 2: I'm going to Port Douglas. It's going to be really hot.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I need some, I don't really have many summery clothes
- 26:55Speaker 2: that I like anymore. And I've got a folder on
- 26:58Speaker 2: my phone called possible summer outfits. So I need to
- 27:01Speaker 2: bite the bullet and actually buy some. So my high
- 27:04Speaker 2: of the week has been watching an incredible Netflix documentary
- 27:08Speaker 2: and it's called jailbreak love on the run. And so
- 27:13Speaker 2: for you know my love of jail shows, like I
- 27:16Speaker 2: used to love that Love After Lockup, which.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Is a reality show where.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Prisoners would meet civilians and they'd start writing letters to
- 27:23Speaker 2: each other.
- 27:23Speaker 1: And they'd fall in love. Yeah, you're obsessed with jail shows. Yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 1: it's so good.
- 27:26Speaker 2: So this documentary is about a prison guard. So she
- 27:30Speaker 2: was the assistant director of operations at an Alabama prison
- 27:34Speaker 2: and she fell in love with this inmate who was
- 27:38Speaker 2: in for murder. So it's all about their love story.
- 27:41Speaker 2: And as it sort of indicates via the title, Love
- 27:45Speaker 2: on the Run. So basically she helped this.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Guy break out of prison.
- 27:49Speaker 2: They have all of these recordings of their phone calls
- 27:52Speaker 2: to one another. So she had a secret phone where
- 27:54Speaker 2: she was talking to this guy called Casey White in prison.
- 27:59Speaker 2: It is sensational.
- 28:01Speaker 1: I think it's number one at the moment on Netflix.
- 28:03Speaker 1: You have to watch it.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Because I want to talk to somebody about this crazy.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Fun fact, I used to date a prison guard and
- 28:10Speaker 1: he used to tell some- I thought you were going
- 28:11Speaker 1: to say a prisoner. Not a prisoner, a prison guard.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Fun fact, I actually wrote to a man in a
- 28:15Speaker 1: county jail.
- 28:17Speaker 2: But he used to have the funniest stories about prison life.
- 28:20Speaker 2: It would be, Well, I was going to say a
- 28:22Speaker 2: fascinating job, but fascinating in some parts. Well, Dale's, one
- 28:25Speaker 2: of his friends works in a prison, but as the
- 28:29Speaker 2: fitness instructor, so he comes in and.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You get paid a lot for that just out of
- 28:33Speaker 1: the risk. Yeah, it's like danger money.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And he said that he tries to, well, because he
- 28:37Speaker 2: has to have a lot of fun with the guys
- 28:39Speaker 2: and he wants them to respect him.
- 28:40Speaker 1: He sets up all these little.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Games and has prizes that they win. And he said,
- 28:45Speaker 2: you can tell there's a bit of a hierarchy because
- 28:47Speaker 2: some of the big, tough, like scarier guys, they.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Always seem to win.
- 28:51Speaker 2: And it's like a power raid that they're fighting over. Now,
- 28:54Speaker 2: I know that this isn't a recommendation section. It is
- 28:56Speaker 2: supposed to be highs and lows of the week, but
- 28:58Speaker 2: I want to cut in. This is probably the most
- 28:59Speaker 2: basic bitch recommendation because everyone is watching it and talking
- 29:03Speaker 2: about it at the moment.
- 29:04Speaker 1: It's nobody wants this. This is the show of the
- 29:08Speaker 1: year for me. I have been obsessed with it.
- 29:10Speaker 2: My partner said it's just because you think that you're
- 29:12Speaker 2: like the main character. And it is because the main
- 29:14Speaker 2: character is a podcast host.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's Kristen Bell. She's the actress who plays
- 29:19Speaker 1: the main character. And then there's Adam Brody. My God,
- 29:22Speaker 1: he has aged well. Oh my God.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I never liked him in the OC. Like I didn't
- 29:26Speaker 2: watch the OC, so he wasn't a heartthrob. But geez,
- 29:29Speaker 2: I mean, as everyone has been saying on TikTok, he
- 29:32Speaker 2: is now like every millennial's heartthrob.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it was his character. Would you make
- 29:37Speaker 1: one of those slam cakes? Have you seen those? Because
- 29:39Speaker 1: I can just imagine his face popping up in a few.
- 29:42Speaker 2: But I really, I did really resonate with Kristen Bell's
- 29:44Speaker 2: character because Brandon and I laughed so much in the
- 29:47Speaker 2: scene where Kristen Bell said that she had already stalked
- 29:50Speaker 2: the ex-girlfriend's LinkedIn to catch up on what she'd been
- 29:53Speaker 2: doing that week.
- 29:53Speaker 1: And I was like, oh my God, that is literally
- 29:55Speaker 1: something I would do. My favourite scene is when They're
- 29:59Speaker 1: all in the car.
- 30:00Speaker 2: So it's Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, and it's whoever plays
- 30:03Speaker 2: Kristen's sister and also Adam's brother.
- 30:06Speaker 1: And the sister tries to.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Send her a text message about how gross the brother is,
- 30:10Speaker 2: except it plays out on Apple Airplay and it is
- 30:13Speaker 2: just so fucking funny.
- 30:14Speaker 1: It's like, he's gross. Vomit face, vomit face, vomit face.
- 30:18Speaker 2: It was also so relatable how the sisters were arguing
- 30:21Speaker 2: about the podcast and there was this big blow up
- 30:23Speaker 2: about it.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Anyway, it is fantastic. Dale was saying, Dale.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Dale was saying, because he really enjoys it too, that
- 30:29Speaker 2: the mum in it, it's kind of like, she's actually
- 30:32Speaker 2: not anything like our mum, but you know how it's
- 30:35Speaker 2: almost like the mum.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Out of Mean Girls, like, I'm a cool mum. Anyway,
- 30:39Speaker 1: he just said it was like the movie version of mum. Anyway,
- 30:43Speaker 1: go and watch it. It is so good. Now, what
- 30:45Speaker 1: is your low of the week, Amy?
- 30:46Speaker 2: My low of the week is cafe etiquette. So I
- 30:51Speaker 2: have decided it's coming to the end of the year.
- 30:53Speaker 2: There's beautiful weather and I want to be that person
- 30:56Speaker 2: who works from a cafe. So Sophie and I tried
- 30:58Speaker 2: to do this this morning and fucking this cafe we
- 31:02Speaker 2: went to.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Great food, great chai lattes. Great vibe. Well, not really actually.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Blaring music.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Well, it's been taken over by new owners and I'm like,
- 31:11Speaker 2: hold on a second, turn that down.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Yeah. And the thing was, we were like, wow, I
- 31:17Speaker 1: wonder if they've been.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Blaring this music. How old do we sound for quite
- 31:19Speaker 2: some time now? Because It was empty because usually this
- 31:23Speaker 2: place is packed. It was around 1230, prime time to
- 31:26Speaker 2: be there. Nothing's changed except literally the staff members and
- 31:30Speaker 2: also the music.
- 31:30Speaker 1: They're now blaring Amy Winehouse.
- 31:32Speaker 2: No one wants to hear loud music when they're out
- 31:36Speaker 2: at dinner or at lunch. Maybe it's an unpopular opinion,
- 31:39Speaker 2: but like we were even trying to work out where
- 31:41Speaker 2: to go for dinner on Saturday night and we were
- 31:44Speaker 2: tossing up whether to go to a pub nearby and we're.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Like, We just want to talk. Like I don't want
- 31:49Speaker 1: to have to yell over people. Yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 2: My other low is we're still unable to get a
- 31:53Speaker 2: sandwich at Dante's down at Glenelg.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Anyone in Adelaide will feel this pain. Every time we
- 31:57Speaker 1: go there, it is sold out.
- 32:00Speaker 2: So cafes throughout Adelaide, please start stocking the sandwiches for
- 32:03Speaker 2: longer and also stop playing music so loud. But what
- 32:06Speaker 2: I don't get is if they're sold out by lunchtime
- 32:09Speaker 2: every time, wouldn't a business think, okay, strategy wise, let's
- 32:13Speaker 2: make more sandwiches.
- 32:14Speaker 1: They're fucking great. But I'm saying make more sandwiches, but.
- 32:17Speaker 2: They've also just released this strawberry matcha, which has been
- 32:21Speaker 2: all over my YouTube and TikTok page influences, sipping this
- 32:24Speaker 2: strawberry matcha.
- 32:25Speaker 1: And I don't even like matcha, but I've intended to
- 32:27Speaker 1: try it. It looks so delicious. No one fucking likes it.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Everyone's pretending like.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Well, they only like it when it's laden with 10
- 32:33Speaker 2: tons of sugar. I don't say again, I'm trying to sound,
- 32:36Speaker 2: it sounds like I'm a fucking pick me. I don't,
- 32:38Speaker 2: mind the taste of it, but it would not be
- 32:40Speaker 2: my drink of choice. Well, I think that's all we've
- 32:42Speaker 2: got time for today. Thank you for listening to another
- 32:44Speaker 2: episode of Outspoken. If you have enjoyed it, could you
- 32:47Speaker 2: please make sure you are subscribed on Apple Podcasts and
- 32:50Speaker 2: also Spotify? And could you please leave us a review?
- 32:53Speaker 2: It's a highlight of my week reading them. I should
- 32:55Speaker 2: add that to my highs and lows list.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Kate has one more week left of maternity leave, doesn't she? Wait,
- 33:01Speaker 1: I thought she was back next week. No, she's 17 weeks.
- 33:05Speaker 1: She's had off.
- 33:05Speaker 2: So we've got one more week until Kate is back.
- 33:09Speaker 2: all feeling excited to have it back but it'll just
- 33:11Speaker 2: be interesting to have the three of us back again
- 33:14Speaker 2: it's quite easy just with two back and forth it
- 33:17Speaker 2: is it is easy but yeah so.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Another week of just sophie and i and then.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Back to the three of us enjoy your last week
