- 0:01Speaker 1: When I woke up this morning, I was feeling pretty dangerous.
- 0:03Speaker 1: But we're on a Cincinnati it's my team, it's my quarterbit.
- 0:07Speaker 1: They are who we thought they were and we got
- 0:10Speaker 1: about Hello, you play to win the day. They want
- 0:14Speaker 1: you to cook the dinner. At least they ought to
- 0:15Speaker 1: let your shout for some of the grocery. And on
- 0:17Speaker 1: the way up, we're gonna buy the kneecap all getting
- 0:19Speaker 1: me playoffs. I'm just here so I won't get fine.
- 0:23Speaker 1: How could he not be romantic about football after let's
- 0:26Speaker 1: go baba, welcome to the bench with a podcast. There
- 0:31Speaker 1: you are, guys. We are back in studio and I
- 0:34Speaker 1: don't have COVID anymore. Who bye COVID, Bye covid. Uh
- 0:42Speaker 1: I talked too much trash about COVID and it found
- 0:46Speaker 1: my ass and whoops this guys. I'm so excited to
- 0:50Speaker 1: be here on NFL Network for the first time. What
- 0:54Speaker 1: feels like a million years. I don't think we've been
- 0:57Speaker 1: in sudiographer since I left for this road trip. Is
- 0:59Speaker 1: that true? I believe that's true. I think our last
- 1:02Speaker 1: taping was in studio was like June second. Yeah, that's disgusting.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I was so excited to get here and see little
- 1:13Speaker 1: Justin Graver and see my little Mohan. M something's missing,
- 1:21Speaker 1: not the shot of the empty studio. Mohan went to
- 1:25Speaker 1: go hang out with his parents did week? Is that true?
- 1:29Speaker 1: He's with his parents. I can't remember what he said,
- 1:31Speaker 1: something about his parents. It's fine, it's the summer, Okay,
- 1:35Speaker 1: going Jay. But what I love about Mohan, and I
- 1:37Speaker 1: love Mohan dearly, is that his idea of his Homer
- 1:40Speaker 1: vacation is I'm gonna go hang out with my parents
- 1:42Speaker 1: for the week. It's cute. He's just a lover. He's
- 1:45Speaker 1: a family guy. Mohan, we miss you and we cannot
- 1:51Speaker 1: wait to all be back in studio next week, actually together.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But am I going to be having to be wheeled
- 2:02Speaker 1: in in a wheelchair next week? Because I am playing
- 2:06Speaker 1: in a celebrity flag football game with the fricking Los
- 2:10Speaker 1: Angeles Rams. I don't know who's team I'm on yet,
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's either Aaron Donald or Jalen Ramsey. I am intimidated
- 2:18Speaker 1: as hell. Do you guys think I'm gonna hurt myself? No? No, no,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you just have to not get crushed. But it's flag football,
- 2:27Speaker 1: so I know. But I'm such a competitive person. I'm
- 2:29Speaker 1: gonna like pull a hammy, like trying to run faster
- 2:32Speaker 1: than Jalen Ramsey or something like that. You know what
- 2:34Speaker 1: I mean. Yeah, it's gonna be a disaster. I cannot wait.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I'm honored that they even asked me. Apparently I get
- 2:40Speaker 1: some swag too, which is that August fifth? Right? I
- 2:44Speaker 1: don't know if people can come, I would imagine, so
- 2:46Speaker 1: I think it's there's a way to go if you're
- 2:48Speaker 1: in Los Angeles. Huh, why don't y'all just google that? Yeah?
- 2:52Speaker 1: I should probably know. Second annual Rams Celebrity Flag Football game. Yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I'm so excited. I've never been. I've always wanted to
- 3:00Speaker 1: be involved in something like this, Like I really want
- 3:02Speaker 1: to play. This is so dumb, all also like I
- 3:06Speaker 1: shouldn't be playing in these games, but um, I really
- 3:09Speaker 1: want to play in the MLB All Star Game, like
- 3:13Speaker 1: just a random No one would know who I am.
- 3:15Speaker 1: But I could just be like a ringer and I
- 3:16Speaker 1: could come in and like play decently. Well. I think
- 3:18Speaker 1: that would be so fun. So I'm so excited to
- 3:20Speaker 1: do this, slash nervous that I'm going to embarrass myself
- 3:23Speaker 1: in front of a bunch of professional athletes. Uh so, yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: check that out and come watch. I guess I wonder
- 3:30Speaker 1: if they like broadcasted too. I kind of hope not. Yeah. Um, okay, guys,
- 3:36Speaker 1: training camp has started this like where it's real, it's happening.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We are I'm going into my second season with NFL Network.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I haven't even been here a year. Isn't that so weird?
- 3:46Speaker 1: I think I haven't even had my one year anniversary.
- 3:48Speaker 1: By the way, we should blow that up. Oh yeah,
- 3:51Speaker 1: one year anniversary on the pod. Let's do it right.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Moan will bring the fireball. I will tell him please
- 3:57Speaker 1: put it away. He won't. It'll be a great Can
- 4:01Speaker 1: we get a cake? We could totally get a cake.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Can we get shampagne? I think we get a cake
- 4:09Speaker 1: and a side of spam because I still want you
- 4:11Speaker 1: to try that. Yes, before the summer is through, but
- 4:14Speaker 1: training camps have commenced. Um. I unfortunately don't get to
- 4:18Speaker 1: go to any yet. But we are going to go
- 4:19Speaker 1: to the Are we allowed to say this? Yes, We're
- 4:21Speaker 1: gonna go to the Rams training camp on Monday next week.
- 4:24Speaker 1: On Monday next week, we're gonna interview some players, We're
- 4:26Speaker 1: gonna play some games gonna be very fun. And we
- 4:29Speaker 1: get to go to the Chargers training camp as well,
- 4:31Speaker 1: and we're gonna do the exact same thing. So let
- 4:33Speaker 1: us know who we should talk to, who you want
- 4:36Speaker 1: to get to know a little bit better. That'll be
- 4:39Speaker 1: so fun. I'm so excited to be taking this show
- 4:42Speaker 1: on the road. Um. So I'm excited because it feels real.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I feel like we get hard knocks somewhat soon. That's
- 4:50Speaker 1: going to start up shortly, and then it's pedal to
- 4:53Speaker 1: the metal. Baby, are you ready for the season, graver,
- 4:56Speaker 1: I'm so ready. I am so freaking ready. I am
- 4:59Speaker 1: ready for this to start tomorrow. I want to be
- 5:02Speaker 1: in Sunday morning freaking five am Irvnoch, Kurt Warner, Rich Eyes,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and Cynthia Fraylan. Yeah, I cannot wait. To be absolutely exhausted.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I was excited, but I'm also really excited that training
- 5:19Speaker 1: camp started because we get to see these guys start
- 5:21Speaker 1: to roll in. Now. One is coming to mind. I'm
- 5:24Speaker 1: sure you guys have seen this photo of Aaron Rodgers
- 5:27Speaker 1: rolling into training camp looking like, Oh, I don't like
- 5:32Speaker 1: the look. I don't like the look. The hair is
- 5:36Speaker 1: too stringy and like greasy you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 5:39Speaker 1: it looks unwashed, It looks un camp. Guys, this is
- 5:42Speaker 1: not a cute look out a little way even there.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Put your hair in braids before you go to sleep. Um,
- 5:48Speaker 1: but he dressed us Nick Cage in Connair. I guess
- 5:51Speaker 1: why is he doing this? Do you know? Is he
- 5:53Speaker 1: just being fun? I think he's just trying to like
- 5:55Speaker 1: live a free, long hair life. I do love that
- 5:59Speaker 1: for him. Have you ever grow your hair out before?
- 6:00Speaker 1: I have? How long about shoulder length? Yeah? It was
- 6:04Speaker 1: pretty nartly. You didn't like it? It was cool, it
- 6:09Speaker 1: was a lot to take care of. And um, I
- 6:12Speaker 1: mean I liked having long hair, but as soon as
- 6:14Speaker 1: I cut it, I was like, oh yeah, creeze. It's
- 6:18Speaker 1: so crazy because I feel like Aaron Rodgers started growing
- 6:20Speaker 1: his hair out like last year for Halloween and everyone
- 6:22Speaker 1: was kind of like trying to guess what his costume was.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Ended up being John Wick. He looked great, whatever, and
- 6:28Speaker 1: now it's still going anyway. So he dressed up his
- 6:32Speaker 1: Knick Cage from Cornair and it made me realize that
- 6:35Speaker 1: I've never seen Cornair. And then that reminded me of
- 6:39Speaker 1: earlier this week somebody that I know told me that
- 6:44Speaker 1: he had never seen the movie Titanic. Wow, how you
- 6:49Speaker 1: must go out of your way in life to have
- 6:53Speaker 1: not seen the masterpiece, the three hours and fourteen minute
- 6:59Speaker 1: masterpiece that is freaking Titanic. I feel like every single
- 7:03Speaker 1: person in their lives had the double VHS. Yeah right
- 7:07Speaker 1: it Remember it came in like a package deal because
- 7:09Speaker 1: he was so long. My cousins had it. So I
- 7:12Speaker 1: watched it and my cousins still. Somebody you, I really
- 7:16Speaker 1: feel like you have to go out of your way
- 7:17Speaker 1: to not see the movie Titanic. Yeah, that's a big one. Titanic.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I watched it again for like the seventeenth time this year,
- 7:26Speaker 1: and it still slaps you, guys. Just FYI, if y'all
- 7:29Speaker 1: haven't seen Titanic in a while, throw her back in
- 7:31Speaker 1: the VHS because she's still slaps. I also watched Titanic
- 7:37Speaker 1: and then went on this crazy spiral of like just
- 7:39Speaker 1: ingesting the most Titanic stuff content. Discovery has like a
- 7:44Speaker 1: crazy documentary about Titanic. Disney Plus has a crazy Titanic.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I was watching all of the things. Anyways, it made me,
- 7:53Speaker 1: really it made me think of what is a movie
- 7:55Speaker 1: that I've gone my entire life without seeing and I
- 7:58Speaker 1: asked you guys to do this as well. Um, I've
- 8:01Speaker 1: never seen Field of Dreams. Oh wow, I've never seen
- 8:04Speaker 1: good Will Hunting. What. Yeah, there's like actually a lot
- 8:09Speaker 1: that I've skipped. I've never seen Karate Kid me neither. Huh.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I've seen the show Cobra Kai. Now never seen any
- 8:17Speaker 1: of those things. What I ask you, Justin Graber and
- 8:20Speaker 1: also Sean Behind Justin Grab what is a movie that
- 8:23Speaker 1: you guys have somehow gone throughout your entire lives and
- 8:27Speaker 1: not watched. I've never seen Jaws. Yeah. Wow. John is
- 8:34Speaker 1: devastated because we were literally movies of all time and
- 8:38Speaker 1: he put Jaws on that list. That's what made me realize, Oh,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I've never seen Jaws. You've never seen Jaws. It's amazing. Man.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I just feel like I missed it, you know, And
- 8:50Speaker 1: I'm at the point now where if I watch it,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I would just laugh at It's probably pretty. It's probably pretty. Um.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I When we first bought our house, we totally read
- 9:00Speaker 1: in the backyard and we put a project projector screen
- 9:03Speaker 1: out there and we started doing these like summer movie things.
- 9:06Speaker 1: So we would send a bunch of movies to all
- 9:07Speaker 1: of our friends and they would vote on what movie
- 9:09Speaker 1: that they wanted to watch that weekend. And so we
- 9:12Speaker 1: ended up watching Jaws last summer and it was really fun.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's like camp be bad, but it's still it's still like,
- 9:18Speaker 1: oh it's still scary. Sharks are freaking scary. Man. Oh great,
- 9:22Speaker 1: will you watch Jaws this week? Give us a review
- 9:26Speaker 1: next week? You really? Okay? Sure? Love that for us. Yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'll do that, Okay, mandatory we introduce Sean so people know. Wow,
- 9:33Speaker 1: Oh I got a great introduction. What is going on?
- 9:36Speaker 1: Thanks for joining the pod. I am out here wrapping
- 9:41Speaker 1: the eagles. All right, go birds, all right, to all
- 9:42Speaker 1: the bench up and then the listeners go birds, go birds.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Thank you. I'm honored to be on the party. You've
- 9:47Speaker 1: been replaced a new guy. We got a new guy here.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I will only talk about the Eagles. Rachel's team should
- 9:55Speaker 1: be the Eagles. By the way, just just plug it's
- 9:57Speaker 1: still on the running. We'll get to that later. But um,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you actually stole my movie. Um so I have a
- 10:03Speaker 1: second one, which one field of dreams are good will hunting,
- 10:06Speaker 1: good will hunting. I haven't seen it, but you took it.
- 10:09Speaker 1: So I'll go for my number two options, which is
- 10:12Speaker 1: I've never seen Back to the Future. What what in
- 10:16Speaker 1: the hell is going on here? I just it just
- 10:19Speaker 1: never got around the seeing it, and everybody's talking about
- 10:22Speaker 1: it and I still haven't seen it, And like, is
- 10:23Speaker 1: that another Spielberg? Is that two Spielberg's we just name
- 10:26Speaker 1: is that? Did he do that? Did he do that? No,
- 10:28Speaker 1: he didn't do that. I feel like that sounds right. Actually,
- 10:30Speaker 1: we are we confusing it with like ET or something. Oh,
- 10:34Speaker 1: that's maybe I haven't seen I haven't see at ET.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Of course I knew that ET is amazing because it's
- 10:45Speaker 1: a it's a story of alien, it's a story of friendship,
- 10:49Speaker 1: and it's beautiful and it's amazing. Okay, I need to
- 10:51Speaker 1: watch ET. You need to go and watch Jaws, and
- 10:55Speaker 1: you need to watch good Will Hunting, and we all
- 10:57Speaker 1: need to watch Big Man. Big Man. We're gonna do
- 10:59Speaker 1: a good Hunting just like Squad beat up movie Night
- 11:02Speaker 1: Play Them Apples. Yeah, I don't get that reference. Is
- 11:07Speaker 1: that from the movie? It is well way to make
- 11:09Speaker 1: a reference that we obviously don't know. Guys, listeners, please
- 11:15Speaker 1: let us know if there is an Americana classic that
- 11:18Speaker 1: you have not seen. I wanna. I want to know Titanic.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I feel like it's got to be up there. For
- 11:24Speaker 1: number one is like, what, it's amazing for you and whatever,
- 11:28Speaker 1: even if you don't think it's amazing anymore. It has
- 11:30Speaker 1: stood the test of time. Let me tell you that.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But um, I just don't know how that's happened. Anyways,
- 11:36Speaker 1: let us know the movies that you have not watching
- 11:38Speaker 1: that you were embarrassed about, and we've got some homework
- 11:40Speaker 1: to do. Um. Back to Aaron Rodgers. Back to training camps,
- 11:44Speaker 1: bring it back to football is back? Football is back?
- 11:48Speaker 1: Another thing, another hot topic of discussion this week. Kyler
- 11:51Speaker 1: Murray has an addendum in his contract. I don't know
- 11:56Speaker 1: if I'm saying the legal the legal speak right, but whatever,
- 11:58Speaker 1: He's got something in his contract that is he is
- 12:02Speaker 1: required to watch what is it four hours of film
- 12:05Speaker 1: every single week and scale back on like video games
- 12:10Speaker 1: and watching TV. This is humiliating. Oh my god. I
- 12:14Speaker 1: have secondhand embarrassment from this, like the fact that your
- 12:19Speaker 1: bosses needed to say, hey, you're not fifteen anymore. You're
- 12:25Speaker 1: an adult that's making two hundred bajillion dollars. Now you
- 12:29Speaker 1: need to watch some film and do your job. It's
- 12:35Speaker 1: truly incredible, and it's a bad look for both sides
- 12:37Speaker 1: because it's like, Okay, obviously it's a bad look for
- 12:39Speaker 1: Kyler Murray does he not watch film? But also the
- 12:42Speaker 1: fact that the organization felt like they had to put
- 12:45Speaker 1: this in the contract. Couldn't have been a conversation like hey, congratulations,
- 12:51Speaker 1: we're happy to have you. Just make sure you're you know,
- 12:53Speaker 1: like watching your film and you know, working hard this year.
- 12:57Speaker 1: They had to put it in the contract. I won
- 13:00Speaker 1: Or if they did this kind of as like a
- 13:02Speaker 1: slight in a way, like they knew people would find
- 13:05Speaker 1: this as like a little easter egg and so many people,
- 13:09Speaker 1: you know, like Kyler didn't look great this year with
- 13:12Speaker 1: putting out the letter and that did it all. But
- 13:15Speaker 1: of course, as Kyler, they're gonna have to pay him
- 13:17Speaker 1: because he's super talented, he's a superstar. I wonder if
- 13:20Speaker 1: they kind of put this in as a little easter
- 13:22Speaker 1: egg for all of us to find and talk about
- 13:24Speaker 1: all week long, because it doesn't look good on Kyler's
- 13:26Speaker 1: end at all. Yeah, I think it looks worse on
- 13:28Speaker 1: Kyler than it does on the team. Having to do
- 13:30Speaker 1: this agreed. It's It's interesting though, because everywhere you look,
- 13:33Speaker 1: people who know contracts and NFL contracts, they say, this
- 13:35Speaker 1: is like the first time they've ever seen a clause
- 13:37Speaker 1: like this. Yeah, and I want to read you a
- 13:40Speaker 1: quote that was published in a twenty twenty one New
- 13:43Speaker 1: York Times article from Kyler Murray. Oh quote. I think
- 13:47Speaker 1: I was blessed with the cognitive skills to just go
- 13:50Speaker 1: out there and just see it before it happens. I'm
- 13:53Speaker 1: not one of those guys that's going to sit there
- 13:54Speaker 1: and kill myself watching film. What I don't sit there
- 13:57Speaker 1: for twenty four hours and break down this team and
- 13:59Speaker 1: that team and watch every game because in my head
- 14:02Speaker 1: I see so much. Huh. Well, maybe that's why the
- 14:06Speaker 1: Cardinals haven't done much the last week. Kind of explains
- 14:09Speaker 1: why they peter off towards the end of the season,
- 14:11Speaker 1: because the defenses have more film on Kyler and he's
- 14:13Speaker 1: not watching film on defense. This is so disappointing. Like
- 14:17Speaker 1: Kyler is such potential to be like the greatest quarterback
- 14:21Speaker 1: in the league right now, Like you can just tell
- 14:24Speaker 1: he's just got all of this pizzaz all of the
- 14:27Speaker 1: special qualities. He's so fast, he's so talented, and then like,
- 14:31Speaker 1: what do you do? Just go home and sit and
- 14:32Speaker 1: play video games. I know he's huge on video games.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I've literally hosted a Madden tournament with him in it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, like two or three years ago. I
- 14:40Speaker 1: did that totally. Why did I do that? Somebody was bored.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Obviously he's got these interests and that's fine, but like,
- 14:50Speaker 1: you are an NFL quarterback, You've got all of this
- 14:53Speaker 1: potential and like a pretty decent team behind you, and like, yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: then you go and play the Rams in the playoffs
- 15:00Speaker 1: and it's like the most boring game anybody's ever seen,
- 15:02Speaker 1: and then you're just done. Yeah, and you keep on
- 15:04Speaker 1: getting injured. Yeah, weird, weird vibes. So when we were
- 15:09Speaker 1: talking about us in New York, this obviously hadn't come
- 15:12Speaker 1: out yet, and he hadn't signed any contract or anything
- 15:15Speaker 1: like that. Darius Butler and I were filling in on
- 15:20Speaker 1: Good Morning Football, and I asked him, what's it like
- 15:24Speaker 1: being a part of a locker room when somebody is
- 15:26Speaker 1: being so immature like that, and he was saying his
- 15:32Speaker 1: answer was actually pretty interesting. He was like, when it
- 15:34Speaker 1: comes to money and things like that, people just mind
- 15:36Speaker 1: their own business? Am I petty to think like, I'm sorry,
- 15:40Speaker 1: but I'm sitting here watching film. I'm here every single
- 15:44Speaker 1: day practicing. I'm not making two hundred and sixty million
- 15:47Speaker 1: or whatever the number was that he just got. It
- 15:51Speaker 1: just seems arrogant and really immature, and like I just
- 15:55Speaker 1: can't help but think, like, I don't know, Darius, Butler's
- 15:59Speaker 1: obviously a very emotionally mature for that not to bother him,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but like you gotta think that somebody in that locker
- 16:04Speaker 1: room is going to be like, you know, let's screw
- 16:06Speaker 1: this guy. Is this supposed to be the leader of
- 16:08Speaker 1: our team. He's having to be like grounded? Yeah, essentially
- 16:12Speaker 1: from like mom and dad, like sorry, we're taking away
- 16:15Speaker 1: your PlayStation, Kyler. Sorry no more Xbox nor phone. It's
- 16:20Speaker 1: just so embarrassing. What do you guys think that he
- 16:23Speaker 1: needs to do this year to like for all of
- 16:26Speaker 1: us to kind of get back on his side, because
- 16:27Speaker 1: right now I feel like I'm kind of out on Kyler.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I think that Cardinals have to make the playoffs, win
- 16:32Speaker 1: a playoff game, maybe win a playoff game, or at
- 16:34Speaker 1: least show up for a player, don't get blown out.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yes in your first playoff game. I totally agree. I
- 16:41Speaker 1: think that this team needs to, especially because they're how
- 16:43Speaker 1: long has a dehap suspended for six six six games?
- 16:46Speaker 1: Especially because they are missing him and like all the
- 16:48Speaker 1: drama that came with that last year. Honestly, so much
- 16:50Speaker 1: has happened, you forget about that. They did trade for
- 16:53Speaker 1: Marquise Brown, who played at Oklahoma with Kyler, so there's
- 16:57Speaker 1: some connection there. But I think that they need to
- 16:59Speaker 1: come out of the game. It's just like absolutely on fire.
- 17:01Speaker 1: And then all of us, like even if week one,
- 17:03Speaker 1: like Kyler balls out, I'll be like, all right, I'm back. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 1: Like let's go, let's go cards. That would be so fun.
- 17:09Speaker 1: But I feel like out of the gate they need
- 17:10Speaker 1: to or else all of us are going to start talking. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 1: and that's not going to be fun for them, fun
- 17:17Speaker 1: for us because we'll have stuff to talk about. But
- 17:20Speaker 1: and then the last piece of news that I kind
- 17:22Speaker 1: of wanted to talk about at the top is I
- 17:23Speaker 1: guess we were like waiting for this to happen. But
- 17:26Speaker 1: Kyle Shanahan has officially said that Trey Lance is the
- 17:28Speaker 1: guy for the forty nine ers and Jimmy g is
- 17:30Speaker 1: I guess just in purgatory. I'm a little bit disappointed.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I feel like I wanted Jimmy to have one last shot,
- 17:40Speaker 1: and I don't know what he would have done with that,
- 17:42Speaker 1: But I feel like people, listen, if they had another
- 17:46Speaker 1: quarterback last season, I think that they could have gone
- 17:49Speaker 1: even further. But like, look at where they got to
- 17:53Speaker 1: and Jimmy had like a torn ligament in his throwing hand.
- 17:56Speaker 1: He was injured, maybe something was going on with his ankle.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I can't remember, but he was not one hundred percent
- 18:01Speaker 1: and he still took them to where they went. Yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I know, he's built a little bit like a glass house,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and you know, anything can go wrong. And obviously he
- 18:10Speaker 1: got like the shoulder surgery at the end of the season.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Nobody even really knew that there was a problem with
- 18:14Speaker 1: the shoulder. That's a little scary, But I don't know.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I just wanted to give him one more shot. You know.
- 18:19Speaker 1: There's as much as like people like to talk about
- 18:22Speaker 1: him having limitations and they can do better or whatever.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I feel like there's something to be said about the
- 18:27Speaker 1: fact that Kyle Shanahan's record with Garoppolo compared to all
- 18:31Speaker 1: the other guys that have had to play like he
- 18:34Speaker 1: just wins with them, and he took them to a
- 18:37Speaker 1: super Bowl. Once he took them they won a playoff
- 18:40Speaker 1: game last year almost went to the NFC Championship. I
- 18:43Speaker 1: don't know. I feel like there is potential that or
- 18:46Speaker 1: they won two playoff games last year. They did go
- 18:47Speaker 1: to the NFC Championship. So yeah, I mean, if Trey
- 18:51Speaker 1: Lance is really really good, then they could be better.
- 18:53Speaker 1: But if Trey Lance struggles as a young second year
- 18:56Speaker 1: quarterback with very little experience in the NFL, then that's
- 19:00Speaker 1: the thing. Guys, Like, I feel like I'm a little
- 19:02Speaker 1: bit worried because if Trey Lance was at the place
- 19:05Speaker 1: that he should be, don't you think we would have
- 19:07Speaker 1: seen more of him this past year? Like he was
- 19:10Speaker 1: barely you know, And it's not like Jimmy was wowing
- 19:14Speaker 1: us during the season, Like I think that they really
- 19:16Speaker 1: stepped up and became this like Cinderella story almost in
- 19:18Speaker 1: the playoffs. But I just feel like we would have
- 19:21Speaker 1: seen more of him. But I know that everyone's like
- 19:23Speaker 1: George Kittle was just like, oh my god, Trey Lance
- 19:25Speaker 1: was like far and away better than the last time
- 19:27Speaker 1: you saw him. He has to say that, Yeah, what
- 19:30Speaker 1: else is he gonna say that? How does a team
- 19:32Speaker 1: that I'm very curious to see come out Week one
- 19:35Speaker 1: that's probably up there in like the top three. Yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 1: Cardinals Also, Um so I guess Trey Lance is the guy.
- 19:42Speaker 1: What happens to Jimmy G? Where does he go? Now?
- 19:44Speaker 1: What does he do? It's so gonna take him on?
- 19:47Speaker 1: Like the only team that doesn't really have a settled
- 19:50Speaker 1: starting quarterback Seattle, I mean, Pittsburgh has a competition, Atlanta
- 19:54Speaker 1: maybe has a competition, but like, somebody's gonna win the
- 19:58Speaker 1: job on those teams Seattle, I mean Geno Smith or
- 20:00Speaker 1: Drew Long. They say that they're comfortable having a competition
- 20:03Speaker 1: between those two. But Jiff, if they can get Jimmy G.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Then the question is because I kind of love that.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Does San Francisco want to help a division rival by
- 20:13Speaker 1: giving them a quarterback that they don't want? So maybe
- 20:15Speaker 1: they don't think it's helped. Maybe they're like, yeah, yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 1: can take Jimmy G. Yeah, you guys take him, Wake
- 20:21Speaker 1: Wake Nuche nutche because they obviously don't believe it him right,
- 20:24Speaker 1: Um whoa, I'm just getting so freaking excited about football,
- 20:29Speaker 1: all right? Coming up after the break best slash worst
- 20:32Speaker 1: thing that I saw this week, we got a couple
- 20:34Speaker 1: of things on the list of don quit Anywhere's the
- 20:44Speaker 1: bast Okay. First thing on the list is some television
- 20:53Speaker 1: that I must recommend because we were talking about this
- 20:56Speaker 1: before the show even started. Guys, the rehearse on HBO
- 21:02Speaker 1: is the craziest thing that I have seen in a
- 21:05Speaker 1: very very long time. If you are not familiar, Gosh,
- 21:09Speaker 1: you should probably go and watch Nathan for you before
- 21:11Speaker 1: you watch the rehearsal Right. I was trying to describe
- 21:13Speaker 1: it to somebody last night and I could not do
- 21:16Speaker 1: it because if you don't know Nathan Fielder's comedy, then
- 21:18Speaker 1: it's very hard to describe even about. Also, there's only
- 21:24Speaker 1: two episodes out, so we don't even really know what
- 21:26Speaker 1: it is because the two episodes are very different. Yeah, basically,
- 21:30Speaker 1: he's giving these opportunity, these people opportunities to rehearse these
- 21:35Speaker 1: very big life events. Like the very first episode. I
- 21:38Speaker 1: don't want to spoil anything, but this guy has been
- 21:41Speaker 1: lying to his trivia team about having his masters. Nathan
- 21:45Speaker 1: builds him the bar that his trivia nights take place in,
- 21:48Speaker 1: and they do a horror guys, don't listen to what
- 21:52Speaker 1: I'm saying. Just go and watch the show. It's so elaborate,
- 21:55Speaker 1: it's honestly insane that he has like a production budget
- 21:59Speaker 1: to pull off what they're doing, and God bless HBO
- 22:03Speaker 1: for giving him that. It's like, like you said, it's
- 22:05Speaker 1: like Nathan for You, but state like, yeah, the funny
- 22:10Speaker 1: thing about Nathan for You is I feel like the
- 22:12Speaker 1: people he gets on that show were always kind of
- 22:14Speaker 1: the butt of his jokes. Yeah, whereas with this show,
- 22:17Speaker 1: it's sort of the same ish idea, but he's he's
- 22:20Speaker 1: actually helping people and you're still kind of the butt
- 22:22Speaker 1: of the joke, but they're being helped in a way
- 22:24Speaker 1: that they aren't on Nathan. Well. I kept on thinking
- 22:26Speaker 1: about the first episode, and I'm so sorry if you
- 22:28Speaker 1: guys haven't actually watched this, this is not going to
- 22:29Speaker 1: make any sense to you. But I kept on thinking
- 22:31Speaker 1: in the first episode because the guy was just like, no,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I'm not familiar with your work, and I'm like, why
- 22:36Speaker 1: are you still here? Keep billing you a bar an
- 22:39Speaker 1: exact replica bar, Like this is weird? Get out? Yeah, okay,
- 22:45Speaker 1: so go and watch that. It's called the rehearsal. It's
- 22:47Speaker 1: on HBO. I'll give you my log in if you
- 22:49Speaker 1: don't have one. I'm just kidding, I won't do that.
- 22:51Speaker 1: The second one that I'm really liking is The Bear
- 22:55Speaker 1: on FX. I think, whoa, I'm only a couple of
- 22:59Speaker 1: episodes in, but it is dark and really good and
- 23:03Speaker 1: Mattie Matheson I think created it, and he is a
- 23:05Speaker 1: very famous Canadian Toronto chef and I'm a big fan.
- 23:10Speaker 1: So go and watch those two things. It is so good.
- 23:13Speaker 1: A couple of other things that I have loved slash
- 23:15Speaker 1: hated to see this week. I don't know if you
- 23:18Speaker 1: guys saw, but Baker Mayfield posted a little video. He
- 23:24Speaker 1: posted a video of some training that was happening, and
- 23:28Speaker 1: I freaking loved it because it was Baker throwing. It
- 23:32Speaker 1: was Sam Darnold throwing, it was Matt Corral throwing. Like
- 23:35Speaker 1: it was just very selfless and like, I'm a part
- 23:41Speaker 1: of this team and I want the best quarterback to
- 23:44Speaker 1: be out there. I just thought it was really mature
- 23:45Speaker 1: and really cool. Yeah, because so many other quarterbacks, if
- 23:48Speaker 1: there was like a you know, a Geno Smith Drew Lock, like,
- 23:51Speaker 1: they're probably not posting videos of the you know what
- 23:54Speaker 1: I mean. It was very much like may the best
- 23:56Speaker 1: man win. I really liked that. Yeah, Baker's brinker, or
- 24:02Speaker 1: maybe he just knows that he's QB Wine and he's
- 24:04Speaker 1: just like, let me throw the bone. God. I hope
- 24:07Speaker 1: he starts. He's got to right against Cleveland Week one here, guys,
- 24:11Speaker 1: he's got to h The only thing I'm bummed about
- 24:14Speaker 1: is that it's not in Cleveland, because if it was
- 24:16Speaker 1: in Cleveland, I would be up in my I would
- 24:18Speaker 1: be up in my boss, Charlie Yuke's office and saying,
- 24:22Speaker 1: you have does end right at Cleveland. I don't end it.
- 24:27Speaker 1: It is in the addendum in my contract, um man.
- 24:32Speaker 1: There's so many good Week one games, uh, Seattle and
- 24:35Speaker 1: Denver included. So I really loved seeing that. Um guys,
- 24:41Speaker 1: does Gronk stay retired with Julio Jones joining the Bucks now?
- 24:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like he sees it like
- 24:50Speaker 1: this is just another reason for Gronk to not stay retired.
- 24:53Speaker 1: It's like, if you're the Bucks and you're Gronk, You're like,
- 24:56Speaker 1: we're loading up for the Super Bowl run. I still
- 24:58Speaker 1: think he doesn't want to do training camp or early
- 25:00Speaker 1: season we've established the break. We broke the news last week. Okay,
- 25:03Speaker 1: Gronk is coming back. But it's kind of getting me
- 25:06Speaker 1: excited about the Bucks that they're like making these moves
- 25:09Speaker 1: and like that's exciting. Well, how do you feel about
- 25:11Speaker 1: that as a Titans fan? I know he's not with you,
- 25:13Speaker 1: he was a free agent before this, but you know
- 25:15Speaker 1: you're very famils with his work. How do you what
- 25:17Speaker 1: do you think this is going to look like? The
- 25:19Speaker 1: Titans traded for Julio Jones before last season. They gave
- 25:21Speaker 1: up a second round pick, they paid him money, and
- 25:24Speaker 1: he played like barely half the year. He didn't catch
- 25:27Speaker 1: a touchdown until the last game of the season. He
- 25:29Speaker 1: made a couple of big plays in the playoff game,
- 25:31Speaker 1: but then on the final drive of the playoff game,
- 25:33Speaker 1: Tanna Hill throws interception Julio Jones on the sideline for
- 25:36Speaker 1: who knows why. He really dealt with this hamstring thing
- 25:39Speaker 1: all year long and the Titans were counting on him
- 25:42Speaker 1: to be a big part of the passing game. That's
- 25:44Speaker 1: the thing with the Bucks is he doesn't have to
- 25:46Speaker 1: be a big part of the passing game. Anything he
- 25:48Speaker 1: gives the Bucks if he only plays five games, but
- 25:51Speaker 1: he plays in the playoffs. That's a win for Tampa Bay,
- 25:54Speaker 1: I think because they have Mike Evans. Chris Godwin's gonna
- 25:57Speaker 1: be at training camp. Despite tearing his ACL in January,
- 26:00Speaker 1: He's cleared for camp already. So I think it's a
- 26:03Speaker 1: great move for Julio. Go play with Tom Brady, the
- 26:06Speaker 1: guy who beat you in a super Bowl that you
- 26:08Speaker 1: were winning twenty eight to three, and us that that
- 26:11Speaker 1: super Bowl that was my very first super Bowl. Oh wow,
- 26:13Speaker 1: that's cool. Um. I also love that he just signed
- 26:16Speaker 1: a one year contract. I always think that that's really interesting. Obviously,
- 26:18Speaker 1: they want to make sure that he's because of like
- 26:20Speaker 1: the work that he's been put up the last year
- 26:23Speaker 1: and like his injury and all that stuff. But like
- 26:25Speaker 1: I think for Julio, it's like, all right, let's get
- 26:27Speaker 1: to work like this next year, is it? Yeah? I
- 26:30Speaker 1: don't have any security after that, which is obviously terrible
- 26:33Speaker 1: for Like I obviously want players to get paid and
- 26:35Speaker 1: be taken care of and stuff like that. But I
- 26:37Speaker 1: just find it really interesting, like the pressure has been
- 26:39Speaker 1: turned all the way up and like, let's see if
- 26:41Speaker 1: he can handle it, and I think it could be
- 26:43Speaker 1: really interesting. Yeah, uh bench bachelor at time. Now here's
- 26:48Speaker 1: the thing, Sean, you are joining us for the first
- 26:50Speaker 1: time on this show. Happy to have you, Thank you,
- 26:52Speaker 1: happy to be here. I always love our chat it.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Now you're an Eagles fan, huge And as we told
- 27:00Speaker 1: you before the show. You asked, are the Eagles still
- 27:02Speaker 1: in the lips And I said, Sean, yes they are.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'm touched and they are still on that list. Right now,
- 27:11Speaker 1: I want you to tell me in thirty seconds why
- 27:14Speaker 1: the Eagles should stay today. Because they've got a star
- 27:17Speaker 1: next to their name, John, Yeah, that means they're on
- 27:20Speaker 1: the chopping block. They are on the chopping block I
- 27:22Speaker 1: have seen. But here's the reason you need to be
- 27:24Speaker 1: with the Eagles. The Eagles are a young, budding team.
- 27:26Speaker 1: We are not the team that won the Super Bowl
- 27:28Speaker 1: in a weird way in twenty seventeen. No, we are
- 27:30Speaker 1: a young, building up team. One of the best offensive
- 27:33Speaker 1: lines in the league, top rated mad and offensive line
- 27:35Speaker 1: in the league. We have Jalen Hurt's one of the
- 27:37Speaker 1: youngest budding quarterbacks who just got an All Pro wide
- 27:41Speaker 1: receiver from whose team? Graver's team, and and he's gonna
- 27:45Speaker 1: be thrown him all year. Defanta Smith all year young.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Everybody's gonna be smiling, touchdown celebrations out the wazoo, Nick
- 27:52Speaker 1: Sirianni he hass okay, he's he's rocking it. He's preaching competition.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I'm like the environment. It's just bumping. We're gonna have
- 28:00Speaker 1: such a fun time. Come down the Philly grabb a
- 28:02Speaker 1: cheese steake, hit up the link. Okay, that was pretty good, Sehn,
- 28:10Speaker 1: thank you, but you did. You did bring up a
- 28:14Speaker 1: sore moment for me that I associate with the Eagles
- 28:19Speaker 1: and will for the rest of my life. And I
- 28:20Speaker 1: don't think I'm gonna be able to let go of
- 28:22Speaker 1: the image when you guys won the Super Bowl of
- 28:26Speaker 1: a grown man eating poop in the street. Okay, look, no, no, no, no, no,
- 28:32Speaker 1: let let that. Let that breathe for a sec. That
- 28:37Speaker 1: is something that happened. And you show up to work
- 28:42Speaker 1: every day and you still wear that hat, and you
- 28:43Speaker 1: still wear that logo on your chest. We're so happy
- 28:47Speaker 1: run that Super Bowl, Sean. I'm so sorry. I'm gonna
- 28:50Speaker 1: have to let the Eagles go today. No, they are
- 28:55Speaker 1: officially eliminated. I'm crushed. I have no ties to Philadelphia, Okay,
- 29:05Speaker 1: I care about you as a person. I respect your fandom,
- 29:08Speaker 1: but I cannot be associated with that group of fans.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Thank you for your honesty. Too many things have happened.
- 29:13Speaker 1: I've seen too much. I've seen too much. I'm sorry
- 29:16Speaker 1: Eagles fans, but there's snowballs at Santa Claus. One time, fly.
- 29:22Speaker 1: You don't mess with Santa Claus and you don't eat
- 29:24Speaker 1: poop in the street. You do things one time man.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I do love Philadelphia and I do love a cheese steak.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Also cheese steak. I was so surprised to learn that
- 29:34Speaker 1: it's just like cheese whiz. It depends on where you
- 29:36Speaker 1: go sick, depends on what place you go and how
- 29:39Speaker 1: you get it. There's usually the top three cheese or
- 29:41Speaker 1: cheese whizz American and Provolone provolone man myself, but cheese
- 29:45Speaker 1: is definitely a fan favor for a lot of people.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Is cheese whiz a popular thing in the United States
- 29:51Speaker 1: of America? Yeah, because it's very popular in Canada. I used,
- 29:54Speaker 1: but it depends on where you put up with cheese steaks,
- 29:56Speaker 1: it's the most popular. I used to eat that stuff
- 29:58Speaker 1: on toast and probably believe every day. Wow, yeah, stam
- 30:04Speaker 1: on there Oh yeah, that's probably why I don't have
- 30:06Speaker 1: a goal bladder anymore of it. Okay, playing the music,
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm ready to kick off the next team. There's two
- 30:14Speaker 1: other teams on the chopping block today. I love this power.
- 30:17Speaker 1: It's disgusting. The Chicago Bears are on the chopping block.
- 30:25Speaker 1: The Minnesota Vikings, well, NFC North Action there are the
- 30:32Speaker 1: chopping block. I'm actually quite torn about both of these
- 30:37Speaker 1: because neither one of them really makes me that exciting. Chicago,
- 30:45Speaker 1: you've not really done anything the last few years. Vikings,
- 30:51Speaker 1: the Vikings. That the thing that I could be excited
- 30:54Speaker 1: about the Vikings is I believe that they were the
- 30:58Speaker 1: team with the most one score losses last year. They
- 31:04Speaker 1: kept their games the most close. It was like either
- 31:06Speaker 1: that in the Chargers they were like hand in hand,
- 31:09Speaker 1: so a couple of different plays things could have changed. Actually,
- 31:15Speaker 1: let me try and remember this stat that I said
- 31:16Speaker 1: on Good Morning Football. It was something crazy like every
- 31:19Speaker 1: single game that Kirk Cousins started, every single loss was
- 31:25Speaker 1: by one score, and the only time the Vikings had
- 31:28Speaker 1: a loss that was more than one score was the
- 31:30Speaker 1: game that he did not play in. Wow, that's kind
- 31:34Speaker 1: of crazy. And they have a new head coach. Maybe
- 31:36Speaker 1: that's the difference. That's kind of crazy. Okay, I've made
- 31:41Speaker 1: up my mind. Chicago Bears, even though you had a
- 31:44Speaker 1: lovely pr person, email me this week and say, hey,
- 31:47Speaker 1: big fan, anytime you want to come hang, you can
- 31:49Speaker 1: come hang. Love that, thank you, but your time has come.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I will not be coming in hanging. Actually, I would
- 31:56Speaker 1: still actually love to do that, because I really love Chicago.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Great city, great city, great franchise. Yeah, but not my franchise.
- 32:03Speaker 1: No Chicago Bears, I'm say sorry, your time is gone. Eagles, Bears,
- 32:09Speaker 1: the animals sit, they are getting the boot. Vikings. You're
- 32:12Speaker 1: still in this thing, baby, Let's see what happens. I
- 32:16Speaker 1: think we're only gonna do too today. Right, we're only
- 32:18Speaker 1: murdering too that's strong language, but yes, we're only murdering
- 32:25Speaker 1: the relationship of two teams. Guys, We've only got a
- 32:29Speaker 1: couple of weeks left, and like every single team that's left,
- 32:31Speaker 1: I'm kind of stoked on. We got the Bills left,
- 32:35Speaker 1: the Chargers, the Colts, the Dolphins are still very much
- 32:39Speaker 1: in this thing. The Jets. We gotta have hands is
- 32:43Speaker 1: back on, Lions. You guys know, I'm stoked on the Lions, Panthers, Raiders, Ravens, Vikings.
- 32:53Speaker 1: That's who's left. It's a good group. I am patiently
- 32:56Speaker 1: waiting for you to kick the Colts out of this game.
- 32:58Speaker 1: But hey, I still think there's some redeeming qualities about
- 33:02Speaker 1: the Quilts that I'm very excited about. Mattie Ice, Jonathan Taylor,
- 33:07Speaker 1: He's fun, he's fun, fun, he's fun. He's no Derrick Henry,
- 33:11Speaker 1: but I mean I roll Um. Guys, that's our show
- 33:15Speaker 1: for this week. We love you so much. Please tell
- 33:20Speaker 1: us what movies you've not watched. We've got some homework
- 33:23Speaker 1: to do. Also, follow us on Instagram and Twitter. I've
- 33:25Speaker 1: benched underscore pods. Wait quick announcement. Our YouTube channel has changed,
- 33:30Speaker 1: which is why we haven't posted any YouTube. Didn't clear that,

- 33:44Speaker 1: show where you can see Sean and I in the
