- 0:04Speaker 1: Enjoy.
- 2:09Speaker 2: All right, good evening everybody.
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'm so excited, you know, I believe every promo we have and I had to slow it down.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Hi, Kelly how are you?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Hi, I'm doing well.
- 2:19Speaker 2: How about you?
- 2:20Speaker 2: I'm great, I'm really excited to have you tonight.
- 2:24Speaker 2: I've been waiting like this since September to have you on a program.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I'm so, so excited.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I know that you're gonna have some words of wisdom and insight and we're gonna get to talk about part of his Xana Ministries.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Before we do that, I do wanna say a quick shout out to those who are watching live whether you're on Facebook, youtube, linkedin, twitter and a special shout out to the folks on Parade Deck Live TV handle y'all.
- 2:49Speaker 2: There's 6.7 or so million folks in that community, so we got it.
- 2:54Speaker 2: We got a shout out to my Parade Deck family.
- 2:57Speaker 2: They are a mix of veterans and military spouses, so you know they'll be watching from around the world.
- 3:02Speaker 2: So I do wanna, you know, pause and say what's up to Parade Deck, and then also to anybody who is watching the replay and also the audio.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I get it.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I need to talk to y'all too.
- 3:13Speaker 2: We love y'all too.
- 3:15Speaker 2: So for those who are gonna be listening to us at the end of this week, I think we're gonna be blessed by what Kelly has to share.
- 3:21Speaker 2: So, kelly, I can't.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I really appreciate you being here today and we're gonna dig in, because I wanna know what is hard of his Xana?
- 3:29Speaker 2: I wanna know everything.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I've read the article about resilience.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you know I have so many questions, I'm so excited, so we're gonna dig in okay.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Okay, sounds great, all right.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So just to introduction.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Kelly is the founder of, like I said, hard of His Xana Ministries.
- 3:47Speaker 2: She's in Georgia.
- 3:49Speaker 2: She's been serving her community since she was 18.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I think it's like when you started your ministry, or been working in ministry since you're 18.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Wow, oh my God.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I started ministry at 18 and then we founded the ministry Hard of His Xana when I was about 20.
- 4:06Speaker 2: So we're doing this a little while now.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Wow, that's amazing.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And you listen, ministry is hard work y'all she has.
- 4:15Speaker 2: She's an author of four books, but she's also I'm excited to hear about the next book coming up.
- 4:20Speaker 2: She teaches at women's conferences around the country, so shout out to other women who are looking for speakers.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Hello, meet my friend Kelly, and when she's at home she loves to play with her dog, Bruno, which used to be the home of her dog, and it was like a child with a dog on ours it was Bruno, true story.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Oh, yes, so we have a, we have a lot of connections and her cat, and she loves to spend time with family.
- 4:45Speaker 2: So I want to talk about the heart talks initiatives and wonder if you could tell us more.
- 4:51Speaker 2: What is that?
- 4:52Speaker 2: What is heart talks?
- 4:53Speaker 2: What is heart talks initiatives?
- 4:55Speaker 2: On those events.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, so they're events, but then they're also my podcast, and so the events were birthed from the podcast and it's just.
- 5:06Speaker 1: My podcast is called Heart Talk with Kelly Golton, but now it's Kelly Golton boss, because I recently got married, and Congratulations.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, we're in the Olafone, he's a good guy, but heart talk is just, it's exactly how it sounds.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It's honest conversation about real life, real issues and not like the small talk stuff where everybody's always okay and knowing, like you know, willing to get real.
- 5:34Speaker 1: In heart talk I kind of lay out what I cover in my book where, like what God healed me from and how he did it, and I'm honest about it.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And so the podcast took off and so we started off these events.
- 5:49Speaker 1: We haven't been able to do them in a couple of years because of COVID.
- 5:51Speaker 1: That kind of threw us a little wrench, but before then we were having a lot of fun.
- 5:55Speaker 1: But it's yeah, they're for women and there's just many little pop up events that we would do for people who would live locally.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I would invite some friends who sing to lead us in worship and we would just take a minute to kind of ask ourselves where we're at, what we need God to do, what we need to heal, and step forward in the face that he can heal us, that it is possible and that we can live a whole life with him.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I love that.
- 6:25Speaker 2: You know one of the words.
- 6:26Speaker 2: A shout out to Enrique, who is also a huge influence, a friend of mine.
- 6:31Speaker 2: He's also a minister.
- 6:32Speaker 2: He's just amazing.
- 6:33Speaker 2: So hello, enrique.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And he said God bless y'all and we take that, we receive that.
- 6:39Speaker 2: But you know, when we were talking about moving for you, moving into ministry, and we were joking that I don't even like to say the M word, as y'all know, I'm a prayer, you know what, but I'm still not okay with saying the word.
- 6:55Speaker 2: There is a little bit of a stigma that's around that and I think some of that comes from you know what we call church.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Church, you know, is tell people the church might have hurt you, but Jesus did.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So come on now.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I'm just sad.
- 7:08Speaker 2: How do you introduce yourself as the leader for Heart of Louisiana and with all of the accomplishments that you've already done?
- 7:22Speaker 2: You know, in a relatively short time, like I'm 52, so everything for me, if it's under 20 years, it's like in a short time.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Well, to be honest, outside of ministry.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So, like what we do in events there's speaking or the podcast I don't really tell people that I'm in ministry.
- 7:43Speaker 1: It was a piece of advice that I was given early on in my career.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Don't, because oftentimes what will happen is somebody who was hurt by the church will assume that I'm going to hurt them too or that I will judge them and whatever lifestyle they have, when, like, I won't.
- 8:01Speaker 1: You know that's between them and God and it's just, it's not my job to judge people, but I found that often all it does is kind of trigger people.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And then I've also found it's harder to make friends if people know that you're in ministry right away, because they go into like best behavior mode, they show you their Sunday self and they only want to talk about scripture.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I remember like before I got married I was on a dating site and I put in my bio like minister, oh my gosh, like every, every potential match was like what do you think of the book of John?
- 8:39Speaker 1: And I'm like what's the color?
- 8:40Speaker 1: Like I want to know about you.
- 8:43Speaker 1: So it's just, I don't.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Honestly, if they ask me, I'll tell them.
- 8:48Speaker 1: But like co-workers in the past when I was working at different jobs which find the podcast and say I didn't even know you had this Cause.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I don't want you to like I don't want you to judge me like people are right you're judging them, but often they kind of judge who they think you are based off of.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah, church her.
- 9:09Speaker 2: That's so true.
- 9:10Speaker 2: And another thing you know I was thinking about and I tell people all the time if I have to advertise myself, if I have to tell you, tell you that I'm a Christian woman, that means my walk isn't right.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You should see that in my walk, you should see that in my words and how I show up and how I'm treating people.
- 9:29Speaker 2: If I, literally, if someone says, you know, well, you know, I'm Christian sometimes I'm sorry, lord, but sometimes I'm like, yeah, you're not.
- 9:36Speaker 2: You might have a title, but you're not doing the walk, I'm sorry.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I've thought the same thing as well.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And no, it's always nice when people can kind of guess that you're a Christian because of how you walk it out, like I don't cuss and stuff over time to kind of get the clue that like there's something different.
- 9:57Speaker 1: But yeah, if you have to go around telling everybody you're a Christian, then yeah, something's not right with your walk, for sure, something's not right.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Can I ask you about the global outreach, because you've had significant global outreach and I understand that you've worked with pastors in India and Kenya and parts of the Middle East.
- 10:14Speaker 2: How did that happen, how did that come about and what do you think has been the impact of your effort?
- 10:20Speaker 2: In these communities.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Well, that was kind of a random thing that God did.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Starting at about 2018-ish, we just started getting a lot of messages from pastors in different parts of the world and just like hey, can I use this lesson to teach my church?
- 10:42Speaker 1: I said, sure, go for it, you can print it out do it and then, like they would send us a message, we would respond, we'd ask them if they needed prayer over anything, and just we kind of formed these friendships with different pastors.
- 10:56Speaker 1: We had two in Kenya.
- 10:58Speaker 1: One is kind of lost touch with us, but there's pastor Luke in Kenya.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Then there's another pastor in Pakistan, but I can't say his name.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Just for him, yeah, precisely, and so, yeah, just an embarrassed part of the world in India as well, and just these beautiful people who are dealing with a completely different set of circumstances than what we have here, just like struggling to feed people living in like the midst of poverty and I grew up really poor and homeless, so like that's always a soft spot of mine.
- 11:35Speaker 1: During the pandemic, we were making more money than we had ever made as a ministry, so we were sending it all overseas, helping them buy food and bibles, and by then we had vetted them so we knew that we could trust them.
- 11:47Speaker 1: It wasn't some internet scam and they would send us photos of what they bought and who they handed it out to.
- 11:54Speaker 1: We didn't go crazy posting these, because these people are people and they're not like you know.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Us showing them off is like look right, you can do.
- 12:02Speaker 1: But like if we needed donations, we would share some photos with permission.
- 12:06Speaker 1: People were donating more to help us send more.
- 12:09Speaker 1: So, yeah, we've been able to provide something like 500 to 1000 bibles.
- 12:16Speaker 1: It's hard to narrow down that number because sometimes the money would be used for bibles, sometimes it would be used for rice and other like essential food items.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But we would hear about events, like they would tell us if they're planning to host some kind of an evangelical event no-transcript.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we would send them resources and they would tell us how many people got saved and photos.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So like we've been able to help people find Christ and get the word into their hands in their native language of Urdu or you know, whatever language they speak.
- 12:51Speaker 1: But that's been really rewarding and they mean a lot to us.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Wow, and that and that's serving right.
- 12:59Speaker 2: That's the heart of what what we're called to do is to serve, and I love that.
- 13:04Speaker 2: That statement about not using these opportunities or not using these, these instances, as a way to be you know Instagram, you know to be Instagram, just throwing a photo to say, look what I did about you know, that's that's.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I would call it quiet, giving where you give, because that is the right thing to do and that's what you know that, listen, that's the walk we're in.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Is that you mentioned coming from a background where you had you had struggled yourself?
- 13:35Speaker 2: Is that where heart of Hizanna came from?
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, pretty much the ministry is kind of my motivation, for anything in ministry is based off of my previous experiences and just the hope that God can use it to help somebody else believe that they're not beyond saving and that they're worth something.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Because, yeah, I grew up both of my parents had been addicts.
- 13:58Speaker 1: When they met, they met in detox and they both had a lot of demons and they just kind of took over.
- 14:02Speaker 1: They quit the drugs that they were on, which was good, but my father became really abusive and I was actually abused for the first 17 years of my life and he also wouldn't work.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So my mom was working like for minimum wage but supporting two kids at the time.
- 14:21Speaker 1: I have older siblings, but there was just me and my brother and my dad who wouldn't work.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He would play video games all the time and get off and abuse us.
- 14:29Speaker 1: We were homeless.
- 14:30Speaker 1: We were couch surfing.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I lived in basements just in motels for years, just anywhere that we could, and, if you can imagine, living in confined spaces with your abuser wasn't great.
- 14:43Speaker 1: So I left that experience feeling like nothing and like my life wasn't going to go anywhere positive.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I had family members who went into sex work and I thought that's where I was heading because of what I've been through.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And literally at 17, I went from thinking I'm going to probably be a stripper to God, like telling me to volunteer at this church.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And then the next year he was saying I want you to speak for me.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And I was saying like am I crazy?
- 15:17Speaker 1: I must be crazy, but people around me could see that God was doing something and validated his call in my life and I have people who really helped me start on that path and just like, literally helped me pay bills for a couple of months so I could find some other training, get established and stuff.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It was God moving.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Wow, that's powerful and thank you for sharing that.
- 15:44Speaker 2: And again, I'm sure this is meant to bless somebody again, whether you're here on the live or you're catching this on the replay or wherever you are in the world, to know that you are of value, that the thing, part of the I guess what honey call it the mantle that I have is around identity and purpose and authority and Christ, and that statement that you made about him using even I call myself his broken and chipped vessel.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I also call myself his favorite.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Everyone's his favorite, but for me I'm like, oh, your favorite.
- 16:20Speaker 2: But the fact that you were, you were, you know, you are of value, like you're literally living it out, I think is part of why your ministry is successful because people can.
- 16:34Speaker 2: They can see that what you're bringing is from a pure place of love and nothing more than trying to.
- 16:41Speaker 2: You know, move his work forward.
- 16:44Speaker 2: There is an article that you wrote.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Y'all y'all need to go on a website because he also has amazing articles and Anna shop and some books and some blogs, but there is a heart of his own.
- 16:55Speaker 2: So the article that you wrote in January, this is so crazy.
- 16:59Speaker 2: So this is so crazy how things work and it talked about.
- 17:02Speaker 2: You will rise up and talk about being resilient resilient, by the way, I'm giving a talk, or monitoring a talk, on Thursday about resiliency.
- 17:10Speaker 2: So I was like, okay, perfect.
- 17:12Speaker 2: But also I'm going to.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I'm going to like blow somebody's wigs off because in this article again, y'all, I will drop the link in the chat.
- 17:22Speaker 2: In this article there was scripture that you included that ties to the prayer that we're doing.
- 17:29Speaker 2: We pray through the word, the prayers that we're leaning into this week on expectancy, and I'm going to read it out.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I can't.
- 17:37Speaker 2: I'm going to try to drop this in the chat because I think nothing is by accident.
- 17:41Speaker 2: So, whoever this is for, y'all, don't catch it tonight, okay, but you also need to go to her website and read the whole thing.
- 17:49Speaker 2: And the word says but, as for me, I will look expectantly for the Lord and, with confidence in him, I will keep watch.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I will wait with confident expectation for the God of my salvation.
- 18:01Speaker 2: My God will hear me.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Do not rejoice over me amid my tragedies.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Oh, my enemy.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Though I fall, I will rise.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I sit in the darkness of distress.
- 18:11Speaker 2: The Lord is a light for me and I wanted to ask you, now that I know a little bit more about heart of Huzanna.
- 18:19Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 18:20Speaker 2: Because now I've got like I've got chills right now, so what does that mean to you?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh, that's been a life first for me.
- 18:30Speaker 1: My mom has been abused her whole life and her sister had her mother had.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I was raised by very broken women, just like everyone I knew had been abused in some way, and she would always tell me, my mom, that life takes little pieces of you as you go through it.
- 18:45Speaker 1: And I was a kid so I didn't get that.
- 18:48Speaker 1: But within a couple years of just being an adult, both my parents died and, like my birth father, I wasn't broken hearted when he died.
- 19:00Speaker 1: But my mom, we had bonded and I've forgiven her, so we were close.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Anyway, life started taking pieces of me and I started to understand what that meant and at first I was kind of shocked and horrified by it because I thought how does anybody finish this race?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Whole, that's where, like the whole ministry comes from.
- 19:20Speaker 1: How do I get the pieces back?
- 19:22Speaker 1: I feel like I keep losing myself.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Every other year I go through like I go through these things that make me forget who I am and like I'm struggling all the time.
- 19:32Speaker 1: And I started to ask God like some real questions, and what he helped me to see is that that's why we need to save your, because life will take pieces of you, but he can give them back.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Like God, giving us our identity means that every time we forget who we are, okay here, like here is who you are, here, who I made you to be, and remind us all over again.
- 19:54Speaker 1: So like I would say that life is a series of being broken over and over again, but then also being healed over and over and over again, like we're never done healing and there's always hope.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Things can always change and get better.
- 20:07Speaker 1: So like for me, just being resilient is just knowing, like God's track record with me is 100%.
- 20:15Speaker 1: He's helped me survive stuff I never thought I could get through.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So, whatever this is going on, I don't see a way out.
- 20:21Speaker 1: But I know, I know he's got me because he's always had me.
- 20:25Speaker 1: But just like being resilient just means having hope and seasons of your life where it's not easy to have hope and it'd be easier to kind of give up.
- 20:36Speaker 1: But God makes us more resilient than we think we can be.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I love that.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Thank you so much for sharing that.
- 20:43Speaker 2: And again, I know you know, especially for the community of folks, that my community on LinkedIn it is a large group, but they're also within that group, especially this time of year, a lot of folks who are going through some things Okay, and I mean like job loss, financial loss, health loss, all kinds of things, and that's why I think this is, this is how God works, this is the, this is just perfect timing.
- 21:07Speaker 2: So I dropped the, I dropped the verse in the chat.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Again, it's Micah seven versus seven through eight.
- 21:15Speaker 2: I am going to be leaning into this tonight on the on the prayer line prayer.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 21:20Speaker 2: This is coming because it showed up.
- 21:22Speaker 2: So we're gonna lean into this.
- 21:24Speaker 2: But I appreciate that.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I appreciate that that context and the hope at the end of on.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I think Kelly, that's why I think that's what I guess said.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I think this is, this is part of why are you're, you know you're, you're really blessed in what you do?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Because at the end of it is hope right, and the hope is, by the way, the hope is not in us.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I'm not saying you know, Shelly and Kelly is the hope.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I'm saying Jesus is the hope.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Don't come for me, Please don't come for us, that's not what I said, please don't clip, no, no, no, that's not what we said, that's what we said.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Shelly and Kelly did not say that.
- 22:05Speaker 2: By the way, my sister's name is Kelly and people call her Kelly.
- 22:08Speaker 2: This is I'm like tripped out right now.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Okay, is that amazing?
- 22:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Shout out to Kelly.
- 22:16Speaker 2: So all right, so what?
- 22:19Speaker 2: So I know that you're working on a book.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Can you share?
- 22:21Speaker 2: Is there anything you can share?
- 22:25Speaker 1: Well, this new book is called Overwhelmed, and it's just.
- 22:30Speaker 1: It's because of honestly.
- 22:32Speaker 1: It was inspired by the news and, like I know, we've all seen what's happening in like Israel and with Palestine and everything.
- 22:40Speaker 1: And then there's like inflation that's really high right now and there's rumors of World War three.
- 22:46Speaker 1: There's stuff everywhere.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And then, personally, like I went through a transition with my job that I had at the time and I've also struggles with anxiety sometimes that God helps me to manage, but it's.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I was praying about a lot of different things one day and I felt like he told me to just write something short, something encouraging.
- 23:07Speaker 1: So this is a book of prayers, like literally.
- 23:11Speaker 1: It's just it's kind of a prayer book, yeah, and it's for the situations and topics where you're telling God I want to talk to you about this, but I don't have words.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I don't know what to say here's some words to say that's all the book is.
- 23:25Speaker 1: It's just meant to lead you in prayer over things that can sometimes make it hard to find words and make it hard to even want to seek God.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So there's prayers about anxiety, depression, chronic illness, death, even betrayal by friends, world issues, all sorts of stuff.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I try to think of anything that would make someone feel overwhelmed and wrote a prayer about it.
- 23:53Speaker 1: So that's where we're at.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I love that.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And yeah, there are a lot of folks who who don't know how to pray right, or they've been praying for 30 years for the same thing, trying to break the same demons, and nothing's happening.
- 24:09Speaker 2: And there's a tactic, there's a strategy to prayer and I think, especially a lot of folks you know they've been in the same church for many, many years you don't know the strategy.
- 24:21Speaker 2: There's a strategy to prayer.
- 24:22Speaker 2: God is spirit and there's a way to pray that gets your prayers answered.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I'm sorry y'all, there is a cheat code, it is the Holy Spirit, but I'm just telling y'all.
- 24:31Speaker 2: So that is, that's fantastic, that I think that's going to be really helpful.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Also, it's very encouraging, I think, if I had that kind of book and I was having a rough time to be able to open it.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Open that book, turning to a prayer and just being encouraged, sometimes that's really all we need, because it's it's.
- 24:49Speaker 2: You know, something that I think Christians do a lot is when someone comes and they say you know they have, they're having a bad day.
- 24:57Speaker 2: A lot of times our response, when we don't know how to respond, is oh girl, I'm going to pray for you, and sometimes, you know, you don't know how to pray for me.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, so this is how I know.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a hot button issue with me.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm about to release a podcast on this.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I'll spoil it.
- 25:19Speaker 1: It's been an.
- 25:20Speaker 1: You know I've been editing it for a little bit, but it's on like just being what you are in a season and it's about like, if you're a victim, it's okay to be a victim.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yeah, of a situation.
- 25:32Speaker 1: But there's a lot of people who don't want you to be a victim, even if you've been victimized and traumatized.
- 25:37Speaker 1: They're like get over it.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Lead you through.
- 25:40Speaker 1: He gives his toughest battle to his strongest leaders.
- 25:44Speaker 2: All that crap, I mean yeah, you're like, yeah, get it, but I'm human, yeah, come on.
- 25:50Speaker 1: And people struggling really want is just someone to listen to them and to validate their pain, to say, like that sucks, you didn't do anything to deserve that.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's okay to feel the way that you feel.
- 26:08Speaker 1: But I had a lot of people when I was trying to heal some like abuse and stuff, and when my mom died, trying to heal from that who were like she's in a better place.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I'm like thanks.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 1: One beautiful thing that God did for me was to validate me.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Where I was, I would come to him and cry.
- 26:25Speaker 1: He never wants for me to get over it.
- 26:27Speaker 1: That's not a costly thing to tell people and he lets us be victims.
- 26:31Speaker 1: If that's what we are, there's no shame in that.
- 26:34Speaker 1: But yeah, that's a hot button issue.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 26:37Speaker 1: It is all more saying.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Listen, I tell people, I we need to have a, we need to have a whole talk about categories of friends, because friends fall in different categories for me and I'm not the girl for some seasons in your life, I'm the girl for some other seasons so I might tell you you know, this is I don't have the answer.
- 27:01Speaker 2: We're going to pray through it.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Come back to me, Come back to me, but you're in another season.
- 27:07Speaker 2: But that is so true is that?
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, we literally will, we'll throw it.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You know.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Okay, go pray.
- 27:12Speaker 2: And again, a lot of people don't.
- 27:14Speaker 2: They don't know how, they don't know what words to use and they'll just roll back to okay, I'll just try our father.
- 27:20Speaker 2: But there is a heart posture that's involved with prayer.
- 27:23Speaker 2: There's a way that you approach the throne.
- 27:25Speaker 2: There's a lot of things with prayer tactically that many, many Christians don't know, and so, yeah, I'm excited for for the book.
- 27:36Speaker 2: So I wanted to find out, is there anything we've done?
- 27:39Speaker 2: We got a few minutes.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Is there anything that we missed that you know I wanted to, you know wanted to share, or you want to cover, or I want to make sure we didn't miss anything.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yes, my book, this.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I'm going to shamelessly flood this because it's a decade to write it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: So it was.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I started writing this when I was 14.
- 28:01Speaker 1: But then it got thrown away by accident and I got so mad I didn't start it again until I was 18.
- 28:07Speaker 1: And I finished it when I was 28.
- 28:08Speaker 1: So to the unloved, I always knew that God wanted me to write a story.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Because I feel like often you hear people say God healed me, he did this for me, and back when I was really broken, I would ask like how You're saying you did, but like what did you do and how can I do it?
- 28:33Speaker 1: I need a step by step thing.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I need someone to lay it out for me and like nobody really could, they would say read the Bible and I'm like where, point me to the page that will heal me.
- 28:44Speaker 1: And it's like it's a journey kind of a thing where God takes people with healing journey and he connects with you in ways that you'll understand and often he'll do and say things that irritate your pain.
- 28:57Speaker 1: So they'll let it go and like release it to him so he can heal it.
- 29:01Speaker 1: But to the unloved is just a love letter to anybody who feels misunderstood, broken, degraded, like they're not worth anything.
- 29:10Speaker 1: It's how.
- 29:11Speaker 1: It's the how God healed me.
- 29:13Speaker 1: He helped me to get over things People say you can't get over, like with abuse, with like rape, or homelessness, or childhood abuse.
- 29:23Speaker 1: All three happened to me and one of them is something that people say like you can never get over this.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Both of my parents had been abused and said the same thing and carried on the cycle.
- 29:33Speaker 1: But it God can heal you of things that people say will leave you scarred forever.
- 29:38Speaker 1: And it's.
- 29:39Speaker 1: It's real.
- 29:40Speaker 1: It's not just like Courtney saying I'm not saying it to get views or likes.
- 29:44Speaker 1: He really did this for me and nobody thought anything of me.
- 29:49Speaker 1: I was considered the bad kid because I was rebellious as a teenager.
- 29:53Speaker 1: No one would let their kids play with me.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I was responding to a tough situation and this is how he helped me have a life I never thought I could have Wow.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I absolutely love this.
- 30:08Speaker 2: This is the dumping ground podcast, a whole podcast on here saying amen, I love her.

- 30:18Speaker 2: This is so amazing.
- 30:19Speaker 2: We have a lot more in common than you know.
- 30:22Speaker 2: I a lot of that that trauma and abuse and all those things and I am definitely a walking, living testimony that that God can help you heal I'm not saying men and women, I'm not giving credit there, but he really can that God can help you heal, you know, and it is a journey and again, I'm just really grateful.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Thank you so much for being here.
- 30:46Speaker 2: I, you know, I'm so, I'm a little bit overwhelmed because I'm sitting here like, wow, she's hit on.
