- 0:50us do that every single week. Cult owner Jim Ursay passed away
- 0:55yesterday at the age of 65. There was no cause of death
- 0:59revealed, but the cult knew about Ursay having many
- 1:03different health issues over the last two seasons and two years.
- 1:07Ursay was a big focal point of the NFL's mental health movement
- 1:11during the COVID pandemic in 2020.
- 1:14Ursay also has been very involved with both youth
- 1:18football programs and scouting programs for the NFL, including
- 1:22having a stadium host the NFL combine every year.
- 1:25Ursay inherited ownership in 1997 shortly after his father
- 1:29passed away and moved the team from Baltimore to Indianapolis.
- 1:33Since Ersay became the owner of the Colts in 1997, the Colts
- 1:37have the 6th best winning percentage in NFL history while
- 1:42in the NFL and won Super Bowl in 2007.
- 1:45I First of all, Jim Ersay is known for what his father has
- 1:50done. I don't know if anybody knows
- 1:52about the Baltimore Colts. That's what they were.
- 1:56They all and I don't know, and it's a crazy story because the
- 2:01Baltimore Colts were moved overnight.
- 2:04Nobody knew that they were moving.
- 2:06He sold the team to Indianapolis and the Browns, the Cleveland
- 2:11Browns, which one of the most, you know, prestigious
- 2:15organizations in NFL history at the time.
- 2:18And the fans were crazy over there.
- 2:20They lost their franchise in 24 hours without even knowing, was
- 2:25moved by a bunch of trucks all the way to Indianapolis.
- 2:29And then obviously the the the Cleveland Browns came back a
- 2:32couple years later and they've been an absolute joke ever since
- 2:36They've come back to the NFL. So obviously you see the
- 2:40difference of the NFL and, and where the NFL is with some of
- 2:43these organizations and how they redefine teams after they move.
- 2:47But Jimmer, say, has been one of the more nicer owners in NFL
- 2:52history. Now, obviously he's had back,
- 2:54you know, the back end of his his livelihood and who he is is,
- 2:58is drugs. I mean, he he's been caught with
- 3:02painkillers. He's been caught smoking
- 3:04marijuana coming out over the years saying that he's been a
- 3:08hippie. I mean, the guy is a very well
- 3:12known commodity for the NFL and it stands up for a lot of the
- 3:16players of the NFL and and stood out for a lot of different
- 3:19players over the years, even players that have been, you
- 3:22know, drug problems. So smoking problems in the NFL.
- 3:25He believed that the NFL should allow marijuana over the last
- 3:29couple of years. And obviously it's the NFL has
- 3:32slowly brought it to the league, obviously keeping them away from
- 3:36painkillers because the NFL for years of letting the players
- 3:39chopping pills and and doing things to their body that they
- 3:42shouldn't be doing. Now marijuana has become legal.
- 3:44And one of the main reasons why marijuana has become illegal is
- 3:47because of Jim Ursay. Jim Ursay has been a pure
- 3:50believer in in marijuana and believes marijuana plants are
- 3:54also. He believed that it was going to
- 3:57be future the future cure of cancer.
- 3:59So there's a lot of things about Jim Ursay you like and there's a
- 4:02lot of things you don't like about him.
- 4:04He's very outspoken. He's thrown people under the
- 4:07bus. He doesn't like a certain amount
- 4:09of owners in the league. He's come out and attacked a lot
- 4:12of different owners in the league.
- 4:13And I, I think he stands for a lot for what the NFL has lost.
- 4:17I, I mean, he speaks, he speaks up his his own personality.
- 4:21He lets his personality be felt. When he spoke to the press every
- 4:25single season and offseason, he always spoke to the press.
- 4:29He never hid behind a door and he was always out there speaking
- 4:34and and saying what he thought the NFL should be and what the
- 4:38NFL needs to redefine over the years.
- 4:41And and he also came out with the the the CTE situation.
- 4:45He's already come out and said it well, he said it for years
- 4:49about CTE and how he needs to that the NFL needs to find a way
- 4:52to protect the players. He's also one of the owners that
- 4:54have come out and said that the NFL should support the retired
- 4:58players and bringing benefits to these players after they retire
- 5:02from the game. I think Jim Ercey is going to be
- 5:05missed because of his outspoken personality, but also what he
- 5:09stood for and he stood for the players.
- 5:11He didn't stand for the owners, he stood for the players.
- 5:14And that's something that could be obviously commended and and a
- 5:19guy that is absolutely change the league for the better.
- 5:23Yeah, absolutely. And even some of the players
- 5:24have tweeted about like mentioning the former and
- 5:27current players knew the impact that Earth Day had with the
- 5:30players and like you said, like influencing on the marijuana,
- 5:33influencing on a lot of the off the field stuff.
- 5:35Yes, he was outspoken. Yes, he did some crazy things
- 5:37off the field for sure. We talked about it a couple
- 5:39years ago. He he wanted to back.
- 5:41Speed. You don't have to lean over the
- 5:42day. He, he wanted to, he wanted to
- 5:44change the, the rules of the referees.
- 5:45I think we discussed like 2 years ago and like, that was one
- 5:47of the big rule changes. And yeah, since then, there's
- 5:49been a lot of referee skepticism as well.
- 5:51But yeah, like you said with the CTE, with the marijuana, too, We
- 5:54talked about it when Sean Smith was part of the show, too, like
- 5:57the impact on marijuana on the NFL.
- 5:58Now, it's really, really big. We're seeing all these retired
- 6:00players come out now and the CTE situation as well.
- 6:03There's a lot of players are retired early on that Colts
- 6:05team. Bjorn Warner was a first round
- 6:07pick. Linebacker Jack Muhor was a very
- 6:09good guard. I think he retired at 28 or
- 6:11something like that. Like that was initially that
- 6:13first wave. And a lot of that probably had
- 6:15to do with or say they probably went to him and said do you
- 6:17really want to continue going with football?
- 6:19Obviously it's tough on the team, but definitely an
- 6:21influential guy, like you said, his father very influential as
- 6:23well and. His father was an asshole.
- 6:25Everything, anybody that I don't know, I wasn't alive for his
- 6:29father. Obviously he, he stepped away
- 6:32from football before I even really was in to the football
- 6:36world. I, I mean, he was still
- 6:37involved. But yeah, I never knew who he
- 6:39was. I know who Jim Ursay was.
- 6:41Sure, what everybody has said about him, he was an asshole.
- 6:44No, there's definitely a lot of people that were deterred by
- 6:46him, but at the same time that the obviously the Baltimore
- 6:49fans, obviously John Elway refused to play there.
- 6:50So there's obviously there's people that turn them the wrong
- 6:52way, but definitely still making the Colts the the brand that
- 6:55they, they were probably since, like I was saying, the Don Shula
- 6:57era. And then later on when when Jim
- 6:59took over, obviously they drifted Peyton Manning and they
- 7:01ran with that. They won a Super Bowl and made
- 7:03them a very popular brand as a whole.
- 7:05And like I said, with the scouting stuff too, like doing
- 7:07all the stuff with the scouting with the combine too, like
- 7:09that's a big, big wave in today's game.
- 7:11So definitely a polarizing figure for Jim.
- 7:13Or say, rest in peace. Yeah, 100% to his family, like
- 7:1765 is way too young and you know, he did what he did.
- 7:21But you know, he's I look at it too, at the same way when you
- 7:26guys are talking about it and the and the way he did things,
- 7:29he was kind of a George Steinbrenner like of trying to
- 7:33like get in front of a lot of stuff where it really is like
- 7:39you get those guys that are polarizing where I got to
- 7:44experience it with with a man like that as an owner and you
- 7:49want to play for guys like that and that no, you know, like kind
- 7:53of the way things are changing, right.
- 7:56And mind you, my Bailey is like sitting at my lap right now in
- 8:03the studio and I'm just like, what are we doing?
- 8:06But like, get away from me. But I think he's he will go down
- 8:13as somebody that had a part in football that a lot of people
- 8:20haven't because he was so organic about what he did.
- 8:24And I think, I think that's real and hate to lose a man at 65.
- 8:31Influential. But he's 100%.
- 8:34Influential and he was. And complete opposite of what
- 8:37his father was. Complete opposite.
- 8:40Yeah, and, and I mean, if you look at it when when he got from
- 8:44the Baltimore Colts, because he took him over in 72 and he he
- 8:51wasn't his son and he did things that were different.
- 8:55And that's why people sometimes don't like guys like that.
- 9:00And he just thinks he did things different and that's OK.
- 9:04And I really, really think like he'll go down probably not as
- 9:10one of the greatest owners, but he's going to go down as one of
- 9:15the most influential of how he's trying to change the culture of
- 9:21kind of what the game was. You know, I think he was
- 9:25different and I think the players really respect and I saw
- 9:28what Peyton Manning posted up on his social media after he found
- 9:32out that Jim Hersey passed away. And it shows you how important
- 9:36that how important Jim Hersey was to Peyton Manning's career.
- 9:40And Peyton Manning was there for practically his whole career and
- 9:44and he really developed as a quarterback under a guy like Jim
- 9:48Hersey and some. People like, but what Errol,
- 9:51what we've talked about too is like we've talked about owners
- 9:53and we've talked about other stuff on the show is how he
- 9:57allowed Payton to kind of like do things and kind of stayed out
- 10:01of it, but let him do what he was, but still ran.
- 10:06I also. And still did.
- 10:08I also think that the mental health movement that he created
- 10:12for the NFL has been absolutely defined over the last couple of
- 10:17years. And I think he's really been a
- 10:20face of what the NFL has not really pushed over the last 20
- 10:26years. There's a lot of mental health
- 10:28issues because of, you know, brain trauma and all that other
- 10:31stuff. He has been.
- 10:32CTE and all that He's. Been he's been a big supporter
- 10:36for it and he's invested millions and millions and
- 10:39millions of dollars towards it. So to the Earth safe family, may
- 10:42he rest in peace. I mean, he's a, he was a good
- 10:45man as far as what I've read. And I, I think he stood for a
- 10:49lot of the players. And I think that's something
- 10:50that Peyton Manning said on his social media and a lot of
- 10:54different players have spoken, not only high praise of him
- 10:57saying that they lost the father.
- 10:59So my heart goes out to the Earth Safe family.
- 11:04It's been a long one, guys. It's been a long one.
- 11:06And as we always do this every single week, we call this Inside
- 11:10Baseball. Now let's go deep, deep inside.
- 11:13What? I.
- 11:15Am excited this is inside baseball.
- 11:20All right guys, welcome to another edition of Inside
- 11:25baseball. We're going to be talking about
- 11:26some stories and some interesting things going on in
- 11:31baseball right now. The week of well, I guess
- 11:35whatever the week is, today's the 22nd, so for for our
- 11:38Thursday edition. So we're going to start off with
- 11:41the guy you see on the screens, Kyle Tucker and the contract
- 11:46sweepstakes that's going to happen this offseason case you
- 11:49haven't been paying attention besides the fact that Aaron
- 11:52Judge has just dominated all the headlines here in New York.
- 11:56Kyle Tucker is probably the second best outfielder in
- 11:58baseball right now. And his current numbers, he's
- 12:01got a 164 OPS, plus he's hitting, he's got a 939 OPS,
- 12:07meaning he's got 12 homers, 14 stolen bases, batting 278.
- 12:14And his bad BIP is actually lower than his batting average.
- 12:17So he's got positive regression ahead of him.
- 12:19Speedy. So he's actually should be doing
- 12:21better than he is, is what they're saying. 38 runs, 35 RBIs
- 12:26on that Cubs team. Look, he's an average defender.
- 12:31He plays mostly right field. A lot of Yankees fans want to
- 12:34fit them in for next year. Let's start off Errol.
- 12:38You think this guy's going to end up in pinstripes?
- 12:40Oh, I think so. The Yankees wanted him in the
- 12:42offseason, but the Astros would not trade him to the Yankees.
- 12:46And if if it was going to happen, they wanted top end
- 12:49prospects and the Yankees were not willing to do that as they
- 12:51did that with Soto. And look what what happened with
- 12:54Soto. He he bands and walks away, goes
- 12:56to the Mets and they lose Michael King.
- 12:58So I think Tucker is one of the best outfielders in the league.
- 13:02I think the Yankees saw that. They spotted him from a mile
- 13:04away. I think everybody in the league
- 13:06knows that he's the high profile player that's going to be
- 13:09available in the offseason now that Vladimir Guerrero is now
- 13:12off off the, you know, off the hinge.
- 13:14So I now he's. Signed a 50 years old.
- 13:16I will argue that Errol in the same aspect so I would trust me.
- 13:23I would love to have him with what he's doing, but at the same
- 13:27time what what did we do with Judge at the time?
- 13:31Because Judge is way better in right field than the center.
- 13:35So what do we do with him at that point?
- 13:37I would. Here's what I would do with Kyle
- 13:39Tucker. I would move Kyle Tucker either
- 13:41to center field or left field. That's what I would do.
- 13:43Keep Judge on right field. That's what I would do.
- 13:45No matter what you do, you can shake your head all you want.
- 13:47The Yankees need his back, I think.
- 13:49Judge is the one that moves. He's a better defender than
- 13:52Tucker and left field has so much more ground to cover in
- 13:56Yankee Stadium that you kind of don't want the worst defender
- 13:59and left. You know, Guardi always played
- 14:01left field because he was so fast.
- 14:03He would cover all that ground and you need a guy with range
- 14:06like that. It's not that Tucker slow.
- 14:08He's still in bases, but as you're getting into your 30s,
- 14:11you'd probably want someone that's a little bit more spry
- 14:14out there and left the Yankee. Stadium well hold on one second
- 14:16they had they're. Well, we're going to have this
- 14:19conversation. We've got a left fielder, right?
- 14:21Yeah. They had John Carlos.
- 14:23We'll talk about that next, because that's going to.
- 14:24Be our next spot. They had.
- 14:25They had. They had.
- 14:26All right, all right. They had John Carlos Stanton.
- 14:29They've had John Carlos standing at left field for the longest
- 14:32time. I don't think it matters who's
- 14:34the left fielder. They're looking for his bat.
- 14:36You keep, you keep Aaron Judge in the right field position.
- 14:39He's he's been very successful over there.
- 14:41He's one of the best in the league.
- 14:42You put but. You got Bellinger for the
- 14:44outfield too, And then? Bellinger could go to first
- 14:47base. I think they move him to first
- 14:49base. I think that's what.
- 14:50They after Goldschmidt contracts up.
- 14:52It's only one year unless they want to resign him.
- 14:55But at the same time, if he if he balls out the same way, do
- 15:00you not resign him? Yeah.
- 15:01Or you put him at first base. You're going to get him cheap.
- 15:03So you put Bellinger at center field and then you put you put
- 15:07Tucker at left field. One way or another, the Yankees
- 15:09will make it work. I I don't think it's going to be
- 15:12a problem. They're going to make it work.
- 15:13They want his bat. That's what they want.
- 15:16They want his bat in the life. It's pretty, pretty damn good
- 15:18bat to have right now. Speedy.
- 15:20If the Yankees don't end up with him, where do you think he?
- 15:23Likes, I think the Cubs are going to resign him, actually,
- 15:26I've always been out of the chance to know.
- 15:28I've always been under the impression of that.
- 15:30I think if he does test the market, it will be the Yankees.
- 15:33I definitely, I don't think it's the Mets.
- 15:34I think the Mets are going to stick to their ways with what
- 15:38they have right now. They'll get some more free
- 15:40agents. I don't think they're going to.
- 15:41I don't think they're going to be cheap.
- 15:42I'm just saying I think the Mets got Sodo, I think.
- 15:45Tucker has no. Tucker's going to play the
- 15:47market like that contract. Obviously he's not going to be
- 15:49as much, but he's still going to aim.
- 15:51He's going to aim still for that 500 million.
- 15:53I think the Mets are going to probably stick with their young
- 15:55core. I think they have a system
- 15:57there. So I don't think it will be
- 15:58them, even though I would like it.
- 15:59I don't think it will be them. I think the Cubs, they're
- 16:02usually a top ten payroll team. They're pretty active spending
- 16:04offseason like two or three years ago.
- 16:07They they need more pitching than they do hitting.
- 16:08But I do think they keep him. I think the the fans do like
- 16:11him. I have this great fear that he's
- 16:14going to end up playing on the Red Sox I just had.
- 16:16That's also possible. I could not have.
- 16:18To see him because they can kind of use that position over there
- 16:22a little bit and. Yeah, reunite with Bregman, so
- 16:25that makes sense. I could I?
- 16:26Could just see it going from 1 villain with the Houston
- 16:29cheaters to the Boston Red Sox. But I think Kyle Tucker will get
- 16:35close to like a Brandon Nimmo type of deal.
- 16:38No, he'll get a lot more than that.
- 16:40Brandon Nimmo is actually on a pretty good deal.
- 16:43Jabba, I heard it might be 600 million.
- 16:45Get them. I think it'll, I think it'll be
- 16:48more in the 400 range probably with.
- 16:50That I read that today it might start, I saw.
- 16:53That, but they're. I know, I know, but that's just
- 16:58what's so it's a ripple effect. I just so I was literally just
- 17:02with his brother last week. It's nice money.
- 17:07Well. And I'm like, he hasn't.
- 17:12I think he's closer to 200 than 400.
- 17:17You'll get 4. No way.
- 17:18I think you'll get 400 at least. Well, because you're going to
- 17:21come out the right time because if we we talk about Carl Pavano
- 17:25and all the if you come out at the right time without guys, now
- 17:31you get that perspective. I think honestly he's a Brandon
- 17:37Nimmo type of guy. I'm a Mets fan job but he's a
- 17:40monkey. A lot better than Brandon Nimmo
- 17:42offensively. Brandon Nimmo is very streaky
- 17:44offensively. Oh, have you seen Brandon
- 17:47Nimmo's number? I know you're a Mets fan and I'm
- 17:49a Nimmo fan. And it took him a while to get
- 17:51going. He's playing better now, but it
- 17:52really took him a while. Well, trust me, I I get it.
- 17:56But understand what I'm saying is like he's not a $400 million
- 18:01player. He's not well.
- 18:05We'll see what what people? Are he's on pace for 4040,
- 18:08right? Yeah, he's on pace for a 40. 40
- 18:10that's a $400 million. If you do that in the, if you do
- 18:13that in a contract year with the rat close to 300.
- 18:16That's what I'm saying is when you get into contract year, all
- 18:21these guys, you look at so many guys that have done this in
- 18:25contract years. Oh yeah, you're not going to get
- 18:27that year from them most likely. That's that's why they're not so
- 18:31hard but what we use. Is that's our contract year, so
- 18:35I'm going to ball out. That's why I always take those
- 18:38guys in fantasy like I took Tucker this year.
- 18:41Let's move on to the reason why the Yankees won't be trading for
- 18:44Tucker or signing Tucker. Because of the Martian.
- 18:47Errol is heating up on that frozen planet, a planet over
- 18:51from us past that asteroid belt and all the other things in
- 18:54between and the moon and all that.
- 18:57Dominguez had a walk off home run to give the Yankees another
- 19:01win. The Yankees are on fire right
- 19:03now. Dominguez is just under 800 OPS,
- 19:07so which is? And he's got a 120 OPS plus,
- 19:11which is means he's an above average player already as a
- 19:15hitter in Major League. Baseball I think league average
- 19:17is one O 2. Yeah.
- 19:19So, Errol, what you think? I think he's.
- 19:22I spelled his name wrong. 2 s s The Martian.
- 19:26I think he's a trade trip. That's what I think he is.
- 19:28I think the Yankees are going to use him as a trade trip if they
- 19:30if they need something at the deadline, I think at the
- 19:33deadline or at in the offseason, if they're looking to add
- 19:37another bat or a pitcher, I think that's where the Yankees
- 19:40go because I do still think Kyle Tucker is going to be in New
- 19:44York Yankees. So there's no room for Jason
- 19:46Dominguez. If he really heats up.
- 19:48I think the Yankees have a piece that they can move to add a big
- 19:52arm or maybe 2 relief pitchers and an arm for a hitter like
- 19:56that. I don't know what Jason
- 19:58Dominguez is. He's finally heating up.
- 20:00He's still young. He's like what, 2122 years old?
- 20:03He's a baby. But the Yankees obviously are
- 20:06looking for 22 what, 2122, whatever.
- 20:10It doesn't matter how old he is. He hasn't done enough to for me
- 20:14to think that the Yankees see him as a future guy in there in
- 20:18a lineup. I, I think Jason Dominguez is
- 20:20one of the most overrated prospects the Yankees have had
- 20:23on a very long time. Maybe you all like him.
- 20:26I don't know what he's going to be at the end of the season, but
- 20:28if he has a good season, like you're saying it as the Italians
- 20:32would say, you played them. And I think that's where the
- 20:35Yankees are going to go. But if you have a guy who's. 20
- 20:38years old, as I say. And defensively, he's just not
- 20:42there. Does that come around on these
- 20:45young guys or is he going to be a DH?
- 20:47I honestly it it's weird for me too, because I don't like giving
- 20:54guys names for what they're supposed to be.
- 20:58But then when you hear and there and Judd say if we're going to
- 21:02get to where we're going to get to get, he has to be a part of
- 21:06it. So we're not in the clubhouse
- 21:10every day. We're not in there.
- 21:11And if Aaron Judge thinks that I can't, I can't go against that.
- 21:17And he said that if we're going to get to where he's going to be
- 21:21a part of it, is he going to? Judge thinks he sees him like
- 21:26putting in the work the right way, if that's.
- 21:27What he's saying, I think obviously he sees it.
- 21:31It's obviously one of those things, and, and I'll say this
- 21:35too, weirdly, it's kind of like a Kyle Schwarber thing because
- 21:40he didn't really have like a position, yeah, convert a
- 21:45catcher. And Dominguez is literally like,
- 21:48he's not a great left fielder, right?
- 21:52And so I'm like, what do you do with him?
- 21:55As Errol said, do you? Is he trade bait or Because then
- 22:00you have Spencer Jones, you have George Lombard, you got all
- 22:05these other guys, right? Him and Spencer Jones are going
- 22:08to go in a trade. I believe that I do.
- 22:11To get to get a pitcher. Yeah, I, I think the Yankees
- 22:14have an opportunity. I think Kyle Tucker is 100% in
- 22:18the Yankees radar, on the Yankees radar, in the Yankees
- 22:20radar, whatever you want to say. I think that's where the Yankees
- 22:24are going to go in the offseason, but they're.
- 22:26They're not going. They're not going to pay him
- 22:28400. Million.
- 22:28No, I don't think so. I don't think so either.
- 22:30I think he's going to get closer to 300.
- 22:33More than judge. No, I think what it is, I think
- 22:35he's going to get closer to 300 million.
- 22:37That's like between 280 and 300. That's what I think he's going
- 22:40to get, but I'm going. To say this right now on the
- 22:43show, he's going to get 240 to 260.
- 22:47He's going to get. Some All right, if we're going
- 22:49to make our bets, I'm going to say he's going to get 450.
- 22:52You must be out of your goddamn 10 years.
- 22:56So he's 40 years old. I do I say closer to 3.
- 23:00Not that. Not because he's worth it.
- 23:01Java. Fish, I'm going to fly there,
- 23:03right in your neck. That's pretty nice punching them
- 23:07in the neck. Look, this is all.
- 23:09How about in the know? Soto deal inflating the market
- 23:12value and this deferred money allowing you to add 100 million
- 23:16onto a deal. And it's kind of like funny
- 23:18money to the organization. So now everyone has to do that
- 23:22if they want to compete. This is what we talked about
- 23:24last summer. This was going to happen and
- 23:26it's already happening. That's what's going on.
- 23:29So everyone's deal is $100 million more than they're worth
- 23:32already today. That's what's happening because
- 23:35of that, Yeah. So people are making a lot.
- 23:36Of so that's why I say 300 million, because a lot of people
- 23:39think he's probably worth between 200 and 240.
- 23:43I think he's going to get about 300.
- 23:44That's what I think he's going to get.
- 23:46If you hit 300 and go 4040 in a contract year, you're breaking
- 23:51400 million. We're talking about Dominguez
- 23:53and wrapping up on him. If the Yankees do trade
- 23:56Dominguez, what is the position do you think that they need to
- 24:01most look at in a trade? It's interesting.
- 24:04I think too early to tell, right?
- 24:07I would say pitching is the best way I would go.
- 24:09Obviously there's a lot of concerns with the the way
- 24:11certain infielders have played this year.
- 24:13So there's definitely maybe a market to look at that.
- 24:16But I think pitching is the direction to going.
- 24:18Marlins, definitely. That's definitely one.
- 24:21Are you sure about Volpe, everybody?
- 24:23No. Volpe has some good advanced
- 24:25stats on his side though that I think still can give him the
- 24:29benefit of the doubt for the time being.
- 24:30Shut the fuck up. I'm willing to give a young
- 24:34shortstop the benefit of the doubt.
- 24:36Dance stats at the same time doesn't get me WS.
- 24:40It's true, and Anthony Volpe is not the main reason the Yankees
- 24:44are. The Yankees struggled at certain
- 24:45points. The.
- 24:46Yankees have a young shortstop coming up who's going to be
- 24:48really, really good. The Dominican.
- 24:50So George Lombard. That's my question.
- 24:52Monster. Yeah, he's going.
- 24:53To be that's the case. He's going to be the. 3rd on too
- 24:55then right? Or he goes to second base,
- 24:58right? Volpe, Volpe.
- 25:00Volpe. I think Volpe.
- 25:02I think Volpe, if he doesn't figure things out this this
- 25:05season, I think the Yankees think to move him in the
- 25:08offseason. I I think that's where they go.
- 25:11I don't. Know who the guy is?
- 25:12Maybe Speedy, you could tell me. But if I'm moving a combination
- 25:15of Volpe and Dominguez in a deal and I want to get maybe a
- 25:20shortstop that's going to transition to 3rd as he gets
- 25:23older and Lombard comes up, who would be the guy that I would
- 25:27want? Yeah, it it shortstop is tough
- 25:31because a lot of the a lot of them are are really like either
- 25:34they're young players on struggling teams that aren't
- 25:36going to be traded. They're probably either be
- 25:38signed. A lot of infielders, we've seen
- 25:40them deteriorate as they get older too.
- 25:42So that's what makes it difficult with with the market
- 25:45right now. Obviously the Super lowest
- 25:47teams, the Rockies, the White Sox, they're not going to have
- 25:49any good. Value to trade.
- 25:50I have a name for you. What do you got?
- 25:51It gets hurt too much, but the left-handed hitting Corey Seeger
- 25:56should be transitioning from shortstop to third base soon.
- 26:00It's interesting he's. 31 years old and he.
- 26:03Isn't he with the Texas Rangers? I, I he's.
- 26:06Not Texas Rangers. He's not going anywhere.
- 26:07Right. See, The thing is, if you guys
- 26:10offseason, if you guys, if you guys think that Tucker is a
- 26:13strong play, you want to take on another $300 million contract.
- 26:16The Yankees are going to just fit in players.
- 26:18I think Nolan, I think Nolan Arenado is a guy that they're
- 26:21going to bring to the team one way or another at the trade
- 26:23downline. I think that's what the Yankees
- 26:24are going to do. I think that was the plan in any
- 26:27ways. Nolan Arenado will be a Yankee
- 26:29by the trade deadline and I think the Yankees are going to
- 26:32trade those two pieces for pitching.
- 26:34That's what the Yankees are going to do.
- 26:35They have Garricko coming back. They've got one of the best
- 26:38pitchers in in baseball and Freed.
- 26:40They got Rod Dole pitching very, very well, but he's on and off
- 26:43every year. I think he had a starting
- 26:45pitcher and a relief pitcher, a top end relief pitcher because
- 26:48we all know Devin Williams isn't.
- 26:49Going to be one more starter and one more guy.
- 26:51I need another. Deal.
- 26:52I think that's what they're going to do.
- 26:54They're going to bring in a big a big dog with one of of those
- 26:57guys or maybe even both of those guys.
- 26:59Remember Jones, Jones, Jones in Pittsburgh is not doing very
- 27:03well over there. I'm telling you right now,
- 27:06they're going to have to give up one of those guys.
- 27:08I don't know if it's Spencer, I don't know if it's George,
- 27:12whoever. They're going to have to give up
- 27:13one. If they want to do something to
- 27:16get a third end guy, they're going to have to give up one of
- 27:20those guys. I agree.
- 27:21With you I want to say also maybe even even besides
- 27:24Pittsburgh also the Reds, if they continue being mediocre,
- 27:26maybe one of their young pitchers too as a possibility
- 27:29they could trade for. I don't think Green, but maybe
- 27:31maybe one of their young guys. I think they'll stay contending,
- 27:35but I. If they don't, I will say, and
- 27:38you guys say this, they're going to have to get somebody that is
- 27:41big league. I know exactly, I know exactly
- 27:43who they're going to go after. And I'm telling you right now,
- 27:46it's Michael King. Let's hear it.
- 27:47It's Michael King. Michael King is the guy that the
- 27:50Yankees are going for. They're not going to be able to
- 27:52bring him back. The, the and we all know the
- 27:55Padres are all all in to trading away pieces.
- 27:59I'm telling you right now, Michael King, I know you love
- 28:02Michael King. I'm not.
- 28:04It doesn't matter. The Yankee, that's a Yankee
- 28:06prospect. The Yankees love him.
- 28:09And Brian Cashman was very upset when they had to trade him
- 28:12because he didn't want to trade him in that trade.
- 28:14I'm telling you, right, Michael? I know you don't want, but I'm
- 28:17telling you, Michael King's the guy.
- 28:20I'm telling you, watch. All right?
- 28:21It's going to be Michael. So here's a guy that's older
- 28:23than everyone on this panel right now, Rich Hill Jabba is
- 28:28making a return to Major League Baseball.
- 28:31Let's get off this five years old.
- 28:33Listen to this. He went down, he got he's for
- 28:37Kansas City. He was in the AC face.
- 28:39The ACL Cubs minor league team retired all 12 batters, striking
- 28:44out seven. Congratulations.
- 28:46Rich Hill coming back good for. Him when, when, when you know
- 28:49what you're doing. It's different when you're
- 28:51pitching against kids that have no idea.
- 28:54And Rich is a literally a dude that just knows what he's doing.
- 29:02He doesn't try to go out at his his realm of what he does, but
- 29:07he's going to spin it. He's going to do what he does.
- 29:11And why is he still in the game right now?
- 29:14Because he's still productive. And that's exactly what he's
- 29:18going to do. Rich Hill, like God bless him,
- 29:22he's still grinding. I'm not even 40 years old yet
- 29:25and he's still doing it. I'm playing catch with my son,
- 29:28doing all those things and he's still going out and getting
- 29:32dudes out. Like, could I get dudes out
- 29:34right now? 100% Do I want to do the grind?
- 29:37No. Oh, you're going to be Yankees
- 29:39pitching coach? Rich Hill's got to stop this
- 29:42crap. Nick's trying.
- 29:43To shut up. Nick's trying to come back to
- 29:46Nick's throwing and doing all that other stuff.
- 29:49And I keep telling Nick, you want to throw your arm out
- 29:51again, You're 34 years old. Stop this.
- 29:54Who? Cares who cares, He's still
- 29:56going to get league minimum which is 600,000.
- 29:59I don't think he's coming. Good point.
- 30:00I don't think he's coming. I think Rich Hill's coming for
- 30:03Jamie Moyer's record. I think he was 49 when he was at
- 30:06the end of his career when he was with the Phillies.
- 30:08The oldest I remember for a hitter was when he when he was
- 30:11with the Mets was Julio Franco when he was 48.
- 30:14Breaking news, I got to go back off now all.
- 30:18Right, let's go into the next one.
- 30:21I wanted to bring this up because I find this story
- 30:24hilarious because. It smell my ass.
- 30:26Former Yankees and Mets legend Luis Severino, apparently the
- 30:32A's clubhouse. And they're in what, Sacramento?
- 30:35Is that right? The A's?
- 30:36Yes, this year it's so bad that like the clubhouse is on the
- 30:42other end from the bullpen. They can never get anything they
- 30:45want get home. They can't get there at all.
- 30:48The pitchers are miserable, especially Luis Severino quote.
- 30:52I just need to figure out a way to pitch good at home.
- 30:55I feel like if I only pitch on the road, I'll be freaking sigh
- 30:59young, but I need to get better at home.
- 31:02He's O and four with a 675 with fourteen walks, 29 KS at home
- 31:08and away. Should have stayed with the
- 31:10Mets. Away.
- 31:11He's got two runs, two earned runs and 25 innings, six walks,
- 31:1616 KS, no homers, a .72 road ERA.
- 31:21Jabba, you ever have splits like that?
- 31:23Anyone that was just like that different home and away.
- 31:27Yeah. I mean, there are.
- 31:28There are parts of it where it's like, you know, the parks that
- 31:32you pitch in, that you pitch well and there's some that you
- 31:36don't, you know, and that's, that's just part of it.
- 31:40But when you actually call out like a team or you call out like
- 31:46what it is, I mean it's, it's, it's real difficult to, to kind
- 31:51of distinguish like, are you pissed or like, Hey, I'm like, I
- 31:57suck pitching in on I, I sucked. I was terrible.
- 32:01I didn't like pitching that great, but I I just wasn't good.
- 32:06So I don't know where he stands in that, if that like if it's a
- 32:11mind thing or if it's just like, I just know I don't pitch well
- 32:17there. I I honestly don't know.
- 32:19Louise Severino's got to stop this crap.
- 32:22Stop bitching and moaning. You decided you wanted to go
- 32:25there and take the money. You rode with it.
- 32:28Complain, complain, complain. Go out there and pitch and stop
- 32:32bitching. But he.
- 32:32He knew going into it, Errol, that he knew they didn't have a
- 32:36home stadium like he knew what it was he needs.
- 32:39He needs to grow the hell. I don't think anyone really knew
- 32:41the effects of how drastic it would be like that much of A
- 32:44hitter's park. I think everyone knew.
- 32:45That no I I I understand but. 5th best hitter's park in base.
- 32:50I want to say like, I think it's a big drop off from the pitching
- 32:53park that OCO was. But exactly what Arrow said.
- 32:56It's like he took the money and that's that's where he went.
- 33:01Pulled it out of my ass. This comes from the coach guys.
- 33:03Definitely weird look from the rubber to home plate where the
- 33:07walkway is behind the dish. The press box is off center and
- 33:10that can kind of give you an optical illusion of maybe the
- 33:13plate being in a different spot per. 2nd That's a that's 100%
- 33:16truth. And I will tell you there are so
- 33:21many places where I felt like when I was on the mound, I felt
- 33:25closer to the plate or I felt further from the plate.
- 33:30And so that that plays a part just because just visually, like
- 33:34you guys have never stood 60 feet 6 inches, right?
- 33:38But for but. I was thinking about.
- 33:40On the mound, standing, you don't stand six, you don't even
- 33:44have 6 inches. Speedy, relaxed.
- 33:48I I wonder if he has three inches.
- 33:52So for us though, it's like visually, like what you guys
- 33:57don't understand, like when we get on a mound, we know like we
- 34:03feel like we're throwing harder or it's like, damn, I feel like
- 34:06I'm throwing from the outfield and that's the way it is.
- 34:10And exactly what you said is like, they have this and this
- 34:14and this and this. It just feels different when
- 34:17you're actually throwing a baseball and we're still
- 34:19standing 60 feet, 6 inches, but everything behind you makes you
- 34:24feel like you're throwing longer or shorter.
- 34:29Yeah, it's, it's really crazy. They have the third highest home
- 34:33era in the majors. They're they actually started
- 34:36pretty hot for they saw move on, but they're we all know they're
- 34:40not going to finish over 500 and with having a Home Park like
- 34:43this Errol, they got to be there I think until 2028.
- 34:47Yeah. Is that right?
- 34:48I believe until the stadium's. Built I don't know.
- 34:50And honestly, to be honest with you, with the Oakland Athletics,
- 34:53I don't care. I mean, the organization's a
- 34:56debacle. They're they're, they're just as
- 34:58bad as all. The bad How do you how do you
- 35:00think they're going to do when they move to Las Vegas, though?
- 35:04I mean, they should suck. Like for the next three years,
- 35:07they're the top overall pick in the draft and then just load up.
- 35:10I, I think they're going to have a lot of money because Vegas is
- 35:13going to draw a lot of people and it's going to sell to, yeah,
- 35:16it's going to sell a lot of fans because look at, look at all the
- 35:18Vegas teams, even the Raiders right now, even though they,
- 35:22they're, they're a debacle of an organization.
- 35:24They're they're not going to be the Knights that win in the
- 35:27first year. There's a difference, I think,
- 35:29between the front office structure and and.
- 35:31Baseball is different from hockey because the NHL pretty
- 35:35much hands these guys the the the best players on each team.
- 35:39So when they do these entry drafts, you can only hold on to
- 35:43like 5 or 6 players and then everybody else is.
- 35:47Picking wasn't the first year of the Golden Knights.
- 35:50Yeah, Did they had Marc Andre, Florida?
- 35:53Yeah, and he's at one point. He would have retired probably
- 35:57otherwise at. Hockey wasn't.
- 35:58Yeah, he wasn't Hall of Famer. I mean, look at look at the
- 36:02Florida Panthers, look at the Florida Panthers, their their
- 36:04expansion year. Who did they draft first?
- 36:06John Van Beesbrook. And he took them in 9697 to the
- 36:10Stanley Cup finals on his back when you can get yeah on an
- 36:14expansion team. So, and they three years they
- 36:16were in, they were in the NHL finals against Colorado, they
- 36:18got swept, but he's the one who they rode him all the way to the
- 36:21finals, who is their best player besides Van Beesburg, Scott
- 36:25Mellenby, OK and Van Beesburg wrote them all the way to the
- 36:28finals. So I honest to God, honest to
- 36:31God, it's all about with the NHL, it's it's all about how
- 36:35they get position and who they get from the.
- 36:37We're inside baseball. Shut up about it.
- 36:39I'm just saying. Go ahead.
- 36:40Let's go. All right, the the sad part of
- 36:43inside baseball, the injury report, Jared Jones, it's not
- 36:47working with the with the elbow. It's probably not going to be
- 36:50Tommy John. It's probably going to be the
- 36:52new internal brace surgery everyone's doing.
- 36:54But he's done for this year and probably most of next year.
- 36:58They were supposed to be the dynamic duo him and schemes
- 37:03Errol. What are they going to?
- 37:05We hear rumors about schemes being on the block.
- 37:08They're saying he's not the timelines not good with Jones
- 37:12going down for the for that. If I was a team right now, I
- 37:15would make a trade for Jared Jones and sit on them.
- 37:17That's what I said about the Yankees.
- 37:19I'd sit on him because two years he's young, 2-3 years from now
- 37:22this the kids still a baby. He's 25 years old and the guy's
- 37:26got a tremendous amount of potential.
- 37:28I obviously it's not going to work in Pittsburgh.
- 37:30They like to trade away pitching prospects.
- 37:32You might, if you're a team like the Yankees or even the Mets or
- 37:35even the Red Sox, I'd sit on him and and trade for him and, and
- 37:40wait until he's he's ready to come back in and then you have
- 37:43yourself a gem. That's what I think I would do.
- 37:46So there's been we're going to talk about a couple of other,
- 37:49we're going to talk about different national in a second.
- 37:51But I want to talk about Dylan Cruz going down with an oblique
- 37:54injury was just starting to heat up a little bit.
- 37:57Obviously high profile pic along with skins in that draft a year
- 38:02and that was a year and. 1/2 ago, same draft.
- 38:04Same draft they were. They went 1-2.
- 38:07While they were going back and forth who is going to be one or
- 38:10two, I actually I had an argument.
- 38:12I wish Carter's getting his haircut right now.
- 38:15I wish I had this argument with him because he was like, oh,
- 38:18Cruz is going to go one because he had like 435 with like 26 and
- 38:23whatever in college. And I'm like, no, you're going
- 38:28to take an arm first. You're going to take an arm.
- 38:31But Cruz has proved what he's done.
- 38:34And I saw the other day too, like I love watching these young
- 38:39kids, like I told you, like now this is a great time.
- 38:42Like we're going to do ACWS special and all the other stuff.
- 38:46These guys in the CWS, when they get there, it's completely
- 38:50different. Like they get to a different
- 38:52realm. And when you get guys like that,
- 38:56like Skeins at LSU, he started Air Force Crews, LSU, like you
- 39:03get those guys and they're different.
- 39:07But when they come and I've heard all the Paul Skeens, like
- 39:13there's nobody in baseball and I've heard from all of the
- 39:19broadcasters and everything trade.
- 39:22There's no team that has enough to trade for Paul Skeens, right?
- 39:26Now, yeah, it's going to be tough.
- 39:29There's not one team. So as far as Cruz goes, I think
- 39:33that team is get is just stockpiling talent.
- 39:36We'll talk about Abrams in a second before we get there.
- 39:41It looks like the end is near for the great Justin Verlander.
- 39:45He's got a PEC injury going on. The IL numbers are just not
- 39:48Verlander. S433ERA14-O four whip currently.
- 39:56But fish of 80. One strikeouts in 52 innings.
- 39:59It's not the same guy anymore. He's. 14 What have we said?
- 40:03Oh, that's what I wanted. To bring up you know you don't.
- 40:05You don't beat time. You.
- 40:07You can't. Can you?
- 40:08Even the great Justin Verland. And he's he, one of my dear
- 40:11friends. And I love him, Kate and his
- 40:14kids. I love all of them.
- 40:17But I'm telling you, I love the man who he is because he's an
- 40:24predominant absolute competitor and wants to be the best.
- 40:29But I'm like, dog, you can't do it now.
- 40:32Like we're we're out of the game.
- 40:36Like we're out. Like you can teach and do all
- 40:39these things, but you got to understand like the game is past
- 40:43you. You're 42 years old and I love
- 40:48him to still being able to do it.
- 40:51And he added absolute unbelievable career.
- 40:54He's going to be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 40:57But at the end of the day, like you're done and that's OK.
- 41:02Like, but it sucks when you're when you're done.
- 41:06Nobody knows that feeling as a professional athlete when you're
- 41:09done. And when you get that feeling,
- 41:13it's like, I never wanted to feel it on the field because I'm
- 41:18like, I'm not good enough. Still want to have that fastball
- 41:22at the end? I hear you, Errol.
- 41:25What do we make out of this this wonderful career of Justin
- 41:28Verlander coming to an end? Like, who cares?
- 41:32I hated him. I'm a Yankee fan.
- 41:34Couldn't stand Justin Verlander because he killed the Yankees.
- 41:37No matter where he went, I couldn't.
- 41:40I'm done with Dustin Verland. Thank God I don't have to look
- 41:43at his his face anymore. By the way, he follows me on the
- 41:46on Twitter. So.
- 41:48That's interesting figure, Speedy.
- 41:49I saved George Kirby's return for you.
- 41:52This is a pitcher that pitched over 190 innings 2 years in a
- 41:56row leading into this season. Had had some had some injuries,
- 42:00a little worries about the arm in the beginning of the spring.
- 42:03What does his return mean for this Seattle Bull pitching staff
- 42:07that lost Logan Gilbert? Yeah, that, that's.
- 42:09Definitely much needed because a lot of these other guys have had
- 42:11to go longer than you wanted to for younger pitchers to go into
- 42:14games. Obviously Brian Woose had a
- 42:16fantastic year and they have all the really good talent too.
- 42:19With Bryce Miller, I think there's less pressure on them.
- 42:23Again, Kirby pitching that many innings.
- 42:25Wonder for somebody that a smaller build on him.
- 42:27I think he's only like 190 pounds or something like that.
- 42:29He's a smaller pitcher, probably gave out eventually.
- 42:32He had a step back, I think, twice. £20 more than.
- 42:34You, Yeah. And I think he's a very talented
- 42:37pitcher and I think he still will, as he can continue to stay
- 42:40healthy, Will still age well. He's still young.
- 42:43He's got good stuff. I he had good stuff when he was
- 42:45young pitcher, even when he was with the Tigers before he was
- 42:47traded over to Seattle. Java, one of your teammates we
- 42:50had on the show, Brian Pena. Who's AI want to hit it?
- 42:53Very good, very good personality.
- 42:55He was, he was actually scouting with him because he's now now
- 42:58managing over there in Detroit with the single A-Team.
- 43:00So he knows that. How good?
- 43:02He can be low side and. His upside is definitely there.
- 43:04I think he still has a lot of room to grow and I think Seattle
- 43:06definitely needs it in a tight race with the Astros right now
- 43:08in the ALS. They call me the ladies man and
- 43:10Mr. Still your girl all. Right, let's talk.
- 43:14Let's wrap this up. I want to talk about 3 breakout
- 43:17hitters and three breakout pitchers, names that are going
- 43:20to become household names in baseball that you need to know.
- 43:24Where's mine? Already shown that you need to
- 43:26know their names this season. Pete Crow.
- 43:28Armstrong leading it off. What's the reverse?
- 43:32The order Speedy. Yeah.
- 43:33This guy was known for his glove, his bat this year.
- 43:38I'll give you the stats right now he is hitting.
- 43:42Where is it? 29 with a 313 on base but 553
- 43:47slugging and a 141 OPS. Plus, he's got 12 homers and 14
- 43:52stolen bases and playing center field.
- 43:56Yeah, Mets. Former.
- 43:57First round pick Pete Crow Armstrong and now he's hitting
- 44:00that hitting that full potential.
- 44:02Obviously traded for the half a year of really three months of
- 44:05Javier Baez and then he let him walk, which I guess turned out
- 44:08to be a good decision at the time because he struggled in
- 44:09Detroit. But now he's actually hitting
- 44:10well this year. But Pete Crow Armstrong, this is
- 44:12exactly what we expected out of somebody like that.
- 44:15Like you said, a great defender, potential for that five tool
- 44:18player if you can keep this hitting up to.
- 44:20He's really been a nice spark along with what we were talking
- 44:22about before with Tucker really leading that offense, which has
- 44:24been the best offense of baseball so far this year.
- 44:27Oops. All right.
- 44:28Let me move on to Errol. Errol, you got 5 names up there.
- 44:33You pick one to one when you want to talk about.
- 44:35Hold on Errol, I got something. For you go ahead.
- 44:39She's. Waiting for are.
- 44:41You gonna say I'm waiting for my guy Riley Leonard?
- 44:44I know, I know, we. We reached out to him and he's
- 44:48working right now at Rookie Cam, so I'm trying.
- 44:51How hard do you have to try? How hard is it?
- 44:52Well, as hard as Speedy has. To do your job as hard as Speedy
- 44:56has to, you know, find his little thing wherever it is.
- 45:01In. That Bush, I'm sorry, don't get
- 45:10any ideas I. Will have.
- 45:12Riley Leonard on this show. I I promise you Riley Leonard
- 45:15will be on this show. Bagel Hole, including that
- 45:18bagel. Hole.
- 45:19All right, Errol, who you want to?
- 45:21Talk about we got a couple of hitters, a few pitchers here.
- 45:24You want me to to give you some of their stats cause Hunter
- 45:27Brown's stats out of this world. I like the.
- 45:30I like Jesus. I'm I'm.
- 45:32Going to intrude on this one. God, like Pete Crow Armstrong,
- 45:37like he's a dude, but he also his mom was the mom in little
- 45:44Big League. So baseball's been a part of his
- 45:47life for as long as he's known. Like have you ever seen Little
- 45:53big League and all of our. Fans that watch it.
- 45:56That's the mom, that's the mom. That's that's a great movie from
- 46:01my childhood. That's fantastic.
- 46:03And Jabba, you actually mentioned CJ Abrams to me
- 46:06earlier today. Yes.
- 46:08Tell me a little bit about what you like about this young guy,
- 46:10CBA. You know what?
- 46:12It's crazy too because I was looking at his stats too and he
- 46:16took over Bobby Witt in like shortstop.
- 46:20In like the. Things that he does and it
- 46:23there's not a real like a big, I guess conglomerate of what he's
- 46:30done, but man, I think he's going to be really, really great
- 46:34if he continues to do. I think CD Abrams is is going to
- 46:38be. I think he's going to be Bobby
- 46:39Wittesque. He's not going to.
- 46:42He's. Not going to steal as many
- 46:43cases. I don't think I'm going to go.
- 46:47Go ahead. I'm sorry, sorry to cut.
- 46:49No, go ahead. I like Jesus.
- 46:50Lizardo. OK, yeah, he's 5 and O1 9567 K's
- 46:56I I just like the name Jesus. So hey, maybe he pronounces it
- 47:00Jesus. Yeah, I like.
- 47:01Jesus and. Maybe he is.
- 47:03Maybe he's Philadelphia's Jesus, so they need millions of people
- 47:06they feel the same way as. You they.
- 47:08They have. Wheeler.
- 47:09Zach Wheeler is one of the best pitchers in baseball.
- 47:12Now they have a young kid like like Jesus or Jesus, whatever,
- 47:17where you want to call his name and he's putting up the numbers.
- 47:19And I, I think Philadelphia needs that second tier pitcher.
- 47:23I, I know everybody's going to look at their lineup in and
- 47:26they're going to say, wow, that lineup is deadly.
- 47:28And by the way, Kyle Schwarber is one of the hottest hitters in
- 47:30baseball right now. But I am going with Jesus
- 47:33Lizardo. They need that pitcher.
- 47:36They need that young, left-handed, you know, type of
- 47:38pitcher, and they got one in Jesus Lizardo, who's also
- 47:43leading. All pitchers in WAR in WAR .2
- 47:46right now, Hunter Brown may be more impressive to me.
- 47:51He's, he's a little bit behind in war.
- 47:54Speedy. This is a guy that we we had
- 47:58talked about as a possible riser at the beginning of the season.
- 48:02A guy to look at Jesus and Risotto right off the bat.
- 48:06He's injecting himself into the top.
- 48:08Oh, I like that injected conversation.
- 48:10Injector goody. Has no.
- 48:13Woody, this is a real breakout. With Hunter Brown, can he be
- 48:17this ace? Yeah, it it was weird because.
- 48:20He was got a lot of hype back last year.
- 48:22And he had that. Really bad first two months of
- 48:24the season and then really bad I think I think after that
- 48:27stretch, he's probably been a top 15 like overall pitcher in
- 48:31baseball and I think it is sustainable enough if you can
- 48:35stay healthy. Now again, another one that's
- 48:36kind of a smaller build. So I don't know how again, with
- 48:39his velocity and stuff, how it'll age, but I think for what
- 48:42the Astros need, he's really doing a nice job this year.
- 48:45I had to get a sustainable and. Just to wrap up the.
- 48:49Rest of these guys Cal Rally Jabba.
- 48:52What's his nickname? The big dumper the.
- 48:55Big dumper. I am a legend having a.
- 48:58Big season I have no. 16 homers, 177 OPS plus as a catcher, 370
- 49:06on base doing it all. This guy's for real power.
- 49:10And they gave him a contract. They knew what they were doing
- 49:12and he's rewarding them. And Mackenzie Gore has been a
- 49:15prospect that has been really kind of slap your ass underrated
- 49:19for a. While as far as up.
- 49:21And down mostly. Down since he's been in the
- 49:23league, but the stuff is always been there.
- 49:25Well, he's leading all baseball starting pitchers in strikeout
- 49:30rate 13.42 per nine innings to to he's like a top 15 pitcher
- 49:36right now, but that strikeout no this.
- 49:39Is a guy that you need to know the.
- 49:40Name of and guys beneficial that has been inside bisect national
- 49:45are doing great without. Photo training.
- 49:47Yeah, Abrams and James Wood and Gore in that, too.
- 49:49Speedy, I'm done with you on. The same deal.
- 49:53That's winning. Sounds like a melon ready to
- 49:56explode, as our French scoops would probably say.
- 50:00By the way, before we get into poops, you mean poops?
- 50:03Poops, scoops, dumpster. Big dumper it'll be.
- 50:07Perfect for him. No dumpster rally.
- 50:08I call him dumpster fire because.
- 50:10He definitely, that's the Colorado rock.
- 50:13He's done all right. Tonight so lately you don't take
- 50:16dumpster fire, you take. You take a lighter.
- 50:19And you just let him just like lay one off and it probably
- 50:22shoots, right, Speedy, I don't know.
- 50:26This is this is his and yours area.
- 50:27I fart at Speedy all the time. So I let it go.
- 50:30Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, our final segment of the night
- 50:34is analytics, ladies and gentlemen, and now.
- 50:38It's analytics. I want everybody together.
- 50:42To go ahead and say penis. Penis.
- 50:44Penis but John of the John of the John of the John.
- 50:47I'm not doing any freaking tag team crap.
- 50:53What a great addition guys. Welcome.
- 50:55Back to Anal Lytics, the gross sexual action of Dream.
- 50:58On somebody. Experience.
- 51:02Yes, tonight we will have yet another matchup between human
- 51:06Mars and speedy PD. And what is the game?
- 51:10Well, I'll tell you, it is a mystery term that they need to
- 51:13solve. Each one of them is going to
- 51:15give each other clues. Whoever.
- 51:18Solves it in the fewest amount of clues is the winner, except
- 51:20the terms are different. Speedy is going to have a
- 51:24mystery. Sports analytical term for early
- 51:27enjoy. Errol.
- 51:29Rarely enjoys those terms. These are not the terms he knows
- 51:33from growing up or jeez and eye test you.
- 51:36Know sentence structure. Eye test.
- 51:38Man, Errol is all about the traditionalist type of
- 51:43observations of sports, so he's not going to know this term.
- 51:46He's going to try to solve it. And on the other hand, Speedy
- 51:49does know all these terms. What he doesn't know is what he
- 51:52always affectionately calls gross sexual crap.
- 51:55Yes, these will be sexual innuendos Speedy will have to
- 51:59solve. They will each get up to three
- 52:00clues. Whoever solves it and the fewest
- 52:02amount of clues is the winner. If they do solve it, they have
- 52:05to use it correctly in a sentence.
- 52:08Men and Black migrator. Are you boys ready to play
- 52:12tonight? Let's go, Joy.
- 52:14I know Nathan's ready. More legitimate than I, so
- 52:17speedy let's. Get it?
- 52:18Going We're gonna get the music on for you sports tonight's
- 52:22sports analytical term All right so back to.
- 52:25Back weeks we're going with football is this is a YPAAY.
- 52:31PA percentage. Nope.
- 52:41Denied. Wild guess.
- 52:43Round not working out for you but now AYPA.
- 52:46Yep. And this is for what?
- 52:49Football, Football. Yards all.
- 52:52Right yards is correct. It's going to be a tough.
- 52:54One he. Picked a real ball Buster for
- 52:56you this time. Maybe you did as well with your
- 53:00analytical term of the evening. Oh boy.
- 53:04Felching. Oh God.
- 53:09Really. Really wild guessing Java.
- 53:15Is not a. Fan I'm.
- 53:16Guessing it's something that's very nasty.
- 53:20Sounds like. Belching.
- 53:22So I don't know if it's some kind of modification of that
- 53:25modification. Let's say.
- 53:28It's a man kissing a woman and then burps in her mouth.
- 53:38I don't know what, no. All right, so those are wild.
- 53:47Guesses. No clues involved.
- 53:49Now we will go to the part where you have a chance, Speedy, give
- 53:54Errol his first clue for AYPA. All right.
- 53:58So it is a quarterback. Stat and you got yards already,
- 54:02right? And if you try to throw the
- 54:06ball, what's another term for that that starts with a another
- 54:11word? Term for try, go for it.
- 54:19Attempt, attempt. Attempt is correct.
- 54:21Yep, and then the other a is another term for skewed.
- 54:32Say that again, what is it? So the other.
- 54:34A. The first A no.
- 54:35No, what is the AYPA? So it's blank yards attempt per.
- 54:42Attempts. Is at the end.
- 54:44That's the second A. So the first A is another term
- 54:46for skewed. I don't know.
- 54:51All right, you're getting close, though.
- 54:56I'm back with another clue next time.
- 54:58But Speedy, you're going to have to make some ground up right
- 55:01here. Errol give him his first clue
- 55:04for felching. You can sip it somewhere.
- 55:10Oh God. Josh, hey see Java is not a fan
- 55:15of this. You could sip it some.
- 55:19I'm not a fan of this is. Either I don't want to get the
- 55:22impression that I am. I don't know what type of
- 55:24liquid. Bodily liquid.
- 55:26This is getting Nathan on the other hand.
- 55:28Yeah, Nathan's probably a big fan.
- 55:29Of you could sip it somewhere, you could sip it somewhere.
- 55:31OK, I'm trying to think of it. I don't.
- 55:39Think it would be blood like it would be urine.
- 55:44What else you sip out of something?
- 55:46Somebody's body, I. Mean it.
- 55:53It has to do. With that, yeah, I figured it's
- 55:56freaking. Gross.
- 55:56I don't. Know what else it would be
- 55:59though? It's not unless it's.
- 56:02Like you put a drink. In your mouth and then and.
- 56:06Then like start freaking. Doing intimate things on a bar?
- 56:14What? Like maybe both of them put a
- 56:18drink in their. Mouth make out at the same time
- 56:20with the drink in their mouth and then like climb on the bar
- 56:24and do intimate crap. I don't know.
- 56:28What the Oh my God, no, no, that's not.
- 56:33It we're going to go back now to the sports term speedy cool all
- 56:40right, so the last the last. A or the first AI.
- 56:43My bad. Is so a common terminology in in
- 56:49sports. For any sport, if you want to
- 56:50make a change after after an intermission or a half, you
- 56:55would make an adjustment. All right, so it's yeah, just.
- 57:00It is the term OK, so adjusted. I mean, that's.
- 57:04That's close. Yeah, no, it's fine.
- 57:06So it's adjusted yards blank with AP attempt.
- 57:11You just gave it to me. I.
- 57:13Never said yards. He did.
- 57:15You said yards in the beginning. Adjusted yards.
- 57:19And our P. Attempt.
- 57:24Arrow come on when you throw a pass What?
- 57:31Do you do? It's 1010 for 12.
- 57:36What is that? Pass your what to attempt.
- 57:45Wait, are we trying to get him to?
- 57:47That's speedy. How many tries do I?
- 57:49Have how many do I have left? You have he.
- 57:52Has one left right bitch? No, Speedy, you gave.
- 57:57Him the term like the PP is just like a slash.
- 58:01Well, OK, in. Reality adjusted.
- 58:04Yards. Attempt well.
- 58:08What's the slash mean? What do?
- 58:09You say when you have that like AY divided by like a is what it
- 58:15would look like equal divided bro I don't know, I don't got
- 58:21it. All right, we'll have to wait
- 58:23for another clue. Where is it?
- 58:26Here it is and all right, move it on back to Spideies clue.
- 58:34Speedy, think about all right, like the thing you.
- 58:37Always talk about all right, here we go.
- 58:39Butt holes you. Need a straw?
- 58:43You need a straw. All right, we'll go on the Java
- 58:48theory well. You don't need a straw.
- 58:51Technically, well, yeah, it's definitely a piece of it.
- 58:54So you. Siphon.
- 58:57You a guy sips. Freaking gross.
- 59:02Puss or other human wastes out of a woman's butt hole?
- 59:06What? No.
- 59:11Maybe. Maybe use a straw?
- 59:13That's kind of right. As Scoops, as Scoops said, it's
- 59:18kind of, you're going to need to be all right, so you need to be.
- 59:21More specific about the gross substance, you need to define it
- 59:25more specifically, what what is it that they're?
- 59:29Siphoning out of that gross substance?
- 59:33I don't know. Freaking I've got to remember
- 59:38I've heard it's. Really structured, it's a
- 59:40sexual. Innuendo.
- 59:42So think about. Oh, fish I.
- 59:44Got it. Thank you, Jess.
- 59:51Speedy. You're so close, you're so
- 59:54close. It all together man.
- 59:55Sipping the guy that is sipping. Jizz out of a woman's butt hole?
- 1:00:03Yes. Speedy, yeah, that is correct,
- 1:00:11but. Now, as we all.
- 1:00:12Know in this game. There is one last thing that has
- 1:00:14to be done. You have to use it correctly in
- 1:00:17a sentence speedy. Now I'm trying to remember what
- 1:00:20the term was. He's called.
- 1:00:24Can't say it. Can't say it.
- 1:00:25He's got to. He's got to remember.
- 1:00:28Oh wait, it was. I don't know.
- 1:00:29I was rhymed with belching. Felching the answer, Nathan.
- 1:00:34Was. Felching an average of 13.1 of
- 1:00:40his hot ladies per year. Come on.
- 1:00:45That's not that good. That's not good, Eddie.
- 1:00:49And then he and then he followed up.
- 1:00:50Fight. And then he followed, and then
- 1:00:53he followed it up by putting some butt plugs on them.
- 1:00:59OK, Fair enough, Carol. We're going to.
- 1:01:04Give you one last shot here. Oh, wait.
- 1:01:06No, that was I never heard of the second clue.
- 1:01:08That was it. That means Despite that sentence
- 1:01:12not being great, come on, I actually incorporate niffin.
- 1:01:16I actually. Incorporate Niffin.
- 1:01:17He's here. I get a third.
- 1:01:18You put it, you put it together. He got.
- 1:01:20It on 2 clues, yeah. And he put it together.
- 1:01:23And he didn't put the sentence together, but he put it together
- 1:01:28previous. The only thing I would actually
- 1:01:30incorporate the hot wings for. Generally not used in the term
- 1:01:33of a woman's behind another man. That's true too.
- 1:01:37And you guys gave him Brown, but it can be both technically you.
- 1:01:40Guys gave him the answer you gave.
- 1:01:43Him the answer you guys structure, you said what he
- 1:01:47always says, so anyways anyways. Congratulations.
- 1:01:53Thank God. Bye bye Speedy.
- 1:01:54Where did it go, Speedy? Speedy, how many wins is this
- 1:01:57for you now? I think 2.
- 1:01:58No, no, I think it's 3. Now I think it's three as well.
- 1:02:01I think it's 3. Might be I.
- 1:02:03Got eventually harmful. I got one technically.
- 1:02:06With like the what I did with the Halle Berry sentence, but I
- 1:02:08don't really count that one too. So it's tech, I guess it's not
- 1:02:11only four. But now here's the thing.
- 1:02:13Here's the thing. I'm.
- 1:02:14Supposed to. I'm supposed to give them the
- 1:02:16clues, not you guys. OK, so you guys got to cut it
- 1:02:19out. What we we got to just say I
- 1:02:21would. Just say out by the front.
- 1:02:23Just say I'm just saying. I'm just saying I got to be
- 1:02:26fair. He did get pretty far on him.
- 1:02:28He did. He did.
- 1:02:29He did as soon as you. Said the the the structure
- 1:02:32thing. He knew exactly what it was.
- 1:02:35I mean, well, it's because it was a perfect clue for him.
- 1:02:37It's the only clue for him because because you guys.
- 1:02:41Only got a butt hole. You guys only go to butt holes.
- 1:02:45That's a good point. No, it's.
- 1:02:46Something about, first of all, the craziest.
- 1:02:49Sexual terms are from the butt. It's just a fact you can look
- 1:02:53at. No, you always, you always talk
- 1:02:55about. Butt holes anyways.
- 1:02:56Every single sexual. You know, terminology comes from
- 1:03:01the butt. It's a fact.
- 1:03:02Go look it up. I mean 90% of the crazy like it
- 1:03:06in the butt too, no? And and I don't know why we're.
- 1:03:09Talking about this on live live radio.
- 1:03:12Anyways, Hey, we're asking we're we're we're all in.
- 1:03:15Relationships. Yeah, well, that's definitely
- 1:03:18something that we shouldn't be talking.
- 1:03:19About and Brittany just said disgusting anyways, that's
- 1:03:24that's why fish doesn't have. Kids, because he's smart.
- 1:03:28I doubt that's what Fish is doing.
- 1:03:32Maybe that's how Jim, maybe that's how Jim Ersay died.
- 1:03:39I'm just kidding. That was that was mean.
- 1:03:41But it it doesn't, it's definitely interesting.
- 1:03:44Anyways, Bish, tell your wife we apologize.

- 1:03:55around. I don't know what she's doing.
- 1:03:56Well, she wants to. She definitely needs a.
- 1:03:58Piece of Riley Leonard, it seems, but it I guess that's her
- 1:04:02whole pass, yes. I think so.
- 1:04:05I don't. Care if Java treats either as we
- 1:04:08all know if you can make that happen.
- 1:04:11I'd probably forget Java. You don't have no clue.
- 1:04:14You don't need to trim anymore. The Yankees.
