Heavy rain’s hitting south-central Salt Lake County with a flood advisory in effect until 8:15 PM Thursday—expect minor flooding in low-lying, poorly draining areas as thunderstorms dump another quarter to half inch of rain. Affected zones include Sandy, West Jordan, Draper, Riverton, Cottonwood Heights, Midvale, Holladay, Bluffdale, Little Cottonwood Creek Valley, and Granite/Cottonwood West neighborhoods.
