Aired: Mar 13th, 1949. Fresh off his TV debut, Jack Benny gets ribbed by the whole gang for his less-than-flattering small-screen appearance — but the real fireworks start when the talk turns to Saturday's trip to Santa Anita. Mary, Dennis, and Rochester all cheerfully compare their winnings, needling Jack over his infamous $4.75 loss, which he insists doesn't bother him at all (it definitely does). A classic showcase of Benny's cheapskate persona and the ensemble's razor-sharp comic timing.
