Writer-director Carl Rinsch just got a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence after being convicted of defrauding Netflix out of $11 million meant for his sci-fi series White Horse—money he allegedly funneled into luxury cars, watches, clothes, and mattresses instead of production. Despite mental health defenses and even a mercy plea from Keanu Reeves, the judge ruled Rinsch knowingly lied to secure and hide the funds.
