This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Global Week

of Prayer by Nazarene's Missions International, a beautiful

milestone in a legacy of faithful intercession.

Today we have the privilege of hearing from Alfred Moreno, a

dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene Africa Region.

Alfred served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher and as a

member of the Church Board, investing his time and heart

into strengthening his local faith community.

For 30-4 years he has been married to Angela and together

they have raised three children, building a life centered on

faith, commitment and family. Global Week of Prayer enlight

God is fulfilling His promises and will continue as long as we

keep on our knees and in prayer, in mission, announcing the

gospel. Obeying and trusting in His

promises do not injure Him reveals to us the care and power

of the Holy Spirit who has been moving many to His church in

Africa. Don't prevent it.

Warn us of the danger of wanting to hinder, stop, neglect, relax

and conform. Or simply ignore the outpouring

of God's promises on Africa in today's cold time.

The 10 in this text take us back to the place of the dwelling of

the desolate wife of the House of the desert, transitory and

lifeless. This time is fading among God's

people in Africa, for Africa is leaving the time of its

restoration. The promise says firm the stakes

in the enlargement of the tent. The stakes will have to be

pulled out and driven farther away because the growth will not

be retained and God's only admonishment is strengthen the

stakes. They will need to be firm to

support the greater weight of the 10 expansion.

The stakes are US, every believer, every leader, every

missionary, every church. We must stand armed and

steadfast to deal with this wave of growth that demands

challenges of discipline, of building the lives of those God

has brought into our plan. In Africa, firm stakes point us

to strong principle. Firm reminds us of the rock.

Jesus Christ is our rock. The Lord is my rock and my

strong place and my deliverer, my glory, my God, my strength,

in whom I trust my share, the strength of my salvation and my

high refuge. Psalm 18, two firm reminds us of

steadfast in the premises. Faith is sustained by the

certainty that God does not fail, offering refuge and

strength. Therefore, what you have heard

from the beginning remains in you.

If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, you

will also remain in the Son and the Father.

And this is the promise He has made to us.

We let nothing prevent us from growing and making class like

disciples in the nations. God may continue to equip us to

receive love and disciple multitudes of life true
