- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:09Speaker 1: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go to eighty. It was
- 0:14Speaker 1: bo wow that Prime Time. Maybe I had a crush
- 0:18Speaker 1: on Betty Rubble.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 2: to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 1: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 1: the game. You're listening to to Gotson Company.
- 0:32Speaker 2: NBA free agency is picking up here is he wants
- 0:35Speaker 2: to expand on something I said in the last week
- 0:37Speaker 2: or so. I have no idea what it is you
- 0:39Speaker 2: said earlier this week that would be yesterday.
- 0:41Speaker 1: So assuming it wasn't yesterday.
- 0:44Speaker 3: It might have been yesterday. But for me, it's always Friday.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Every day is Friday, and the previous six days are
- 0:50Speaker 3: earlier this week.
- 0:50Speaker 1: All right, we have a mikey A situation from last night.
- 0:53Speaker 2: There was a manhunt going on near his house that
- 0:57Speaker 2: kept him out of his house for.
- 0:58Speaker 1: A long time. I spend the time what a great.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Teams like like OJ type man hunt? We're talking like
- 1:05Speaker 3: OJ type.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yea all.
- 1:08Speaker 2: But we have to start with Lebron James. Shams has
- 1:11Speaker 2: reported that Lebron James. I'm sorry, mikey A. You know
- 1:14Speaker 2: I want to start with you, but I got to
- 1:15Speaker 2: start here. Lebron James will continue his NBA career, but
- 1:19Speaker 2: according to Shams, it will.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Not be with the LA Lakers.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So this is interesting is he I could not believe
- 1:25Speaker 2: after all of this time, at the age of forty,
- 1:29Speaker 2: we are still tracking Lebron in free agency like it
- 1:32Speaker 2: means something. Because it does. It means something. It's a Lebron.
- 1:37Speaker 2: He is done with the Lakers. He'll move on. It's
- 1:39Speaker 2: going to be interesting to see where he ends up.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I think most people feel like it's going to be
- 1:43Speaker 2: Golden State.
- 1:44Speaker 4: And you're an MJ defender, I don't want you to
- 1:46Speaker 4: shortchange Lebron James.
- 1:47Speaker 3: He's forty.
- 1:48Speaker 1: My bad.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Actually, from what I've been reading, it feels like the
- 1:55Speaker 3: Warriors attempt is a little bit empty. It doesn't you know,
- 2:00Speaker 3: the idea being bringing in Anthony Davis and you know,
- 2:03Speaker 3: putting him together with Steph and Draymond, etc. And Porzingis,
- 2:07Speaker 3: who was back there resigned there. According to Brian Windhorst,
- 2:11Speaker 3: I believe the phrase he used, it's no longer on
- 2:14Speaker 3: the front burner in his mind. The Anthony Davis thing
- 2:17Speaker 3: doesn't seem like a conversation that's going to happen to
- 2:20Speaker 3: a move that's going to happen to Golden State. And
- 2:22Speaker 3: when you think about it, all right, if you think
- 2:23Speaker 3: about Lebron's tendencies, right, does he ever go back to
- 2:27Speaker 3: old teammates now he wants to move on? He wants
- 2:30Speaker 3: to do something different. Especially, one could argue maybe next
- 2:34Speaker 3: to Kyrie, his most frustrating co star, sure right, and
- 2:37Speaker 3: Anthony Davis. So the idea of that be the tantalizing
- 2:41Speaker 3: thing that's going to make the Warriors the place for
- 2:43Speaker 3: him to land doesn't make sense. I'll say what I
- 2:46Speaker 3: said again yesterday. If Lebron James wants to prove he's
- 2:49Speaker 3: a good father, there's only one spot for him. It's
- 2:52Speaker 3: here with the Miami Heat. Not only will the Heat
- 2:54Speaker 3: utilize Bronny James in the rotation next year because they
- 2:57Speaker 3: need what he provides, but they are as reputation wise,
- 3:02Speaker 3: the best team in the league, one of the two
- 3:04Speaker 3: or three best teams in the league in terms of development.
- 3:07Speaker 3: And so if he stays here, maybe tries to win
- 3:09Speaker 3: another title, maybe does win another title with Miami, and
- 3:12Speaker 3: then says, here, Bronni, you go ahead and have my
- 3:13Speaker 3: old place, right.
- 3:14Speaker 2: So he's leaving Bronny in spose hands essentially, is what
- 3:17Speaker 2: you're saying, right, which is a good spot as good
- 3:19Speaker 2: as spot as you'll find for your son in the NBA,
- 3:21Speaker 2: if indeed that's important to you, and clearly it's important
- 3:23Speaker 2: to Lebron.
- 3:24Speaker 3: And as a triple bonus, maybe pat Riley retires and
- 3:27Speaker 3: Bronni doesn't have to do with pat Riley? Can he
- 3:29Speaker 3: as many cookies as he wants?
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yes, it gets down to for me at least a
- 3:33Speaker 2: couple of things. Is Lebron willing to take a pay cut?
- 3:37Speaker 2: And which team, if indeed he is, which team gives
- 3:40Speaker 2: Lebron the best chance of winning an NBA championship? To me,
- 3:44Speaker 2: those would be the most two most important questions, the
- 3:48Speaker 2: first being do you think Lebron would be willing to
- 3:51Speaker 2: take a pay cup? Because if he's willing to take
- 3:52Speaker 2: a pay cut and play for nothing, is he and
- 3:55Speaker 2: you know what I mean by nothing? But he could
- 3:57Speaker 2: technically go anywhere. I mean, he could join San Antonin,
- 4:00Speaker 2: he could join Oklahoma City, he could join the Knicks,
- 4:02Speaker 2: for crying out loud pay cut.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I think wherever he decides to go, it's because that
- 4:11Speaker 3: team can make something happen where he can get a
- 4:13Speaker 3: reasonable salary. Whether it's if it's Miami, it's like, hey,
- 4:17Speaker 3: you guys want this, Nikola Jovich, Let's just figure out
- 4:20Speaker 3: a sign and trade Lakers, and you know Lebron's coming
- 4:23Speaker 3: our way. So there's different ways to make that happen.
- 4:26Speaker 3: If it is just the mid level exception that the
- 4:29Speaker 3: Heat have carved out and can use, that would be
- 4:32Speaker 3: a shocker. Like, I just don't believe that Lebron is
- 4:34Speaker 3: ever at that point where he will take a mid level,
- 4:36Speaker 3: which to him is, you know, might as well be
- 4:38Speaker 3: the minimum, right go ahead to tell?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Is he?
- 4:41Speaker 4: How I was reading into the Anthony Davis part of
- 4:43Speaker 4: this equation was that it seemed like Lebron needed Anthony
- 4:47Speaker 4: Davis to play in Golden State. And now there's the
- 4:51Speaker 4: reports that gold the Washington's not interested in Jimmy Butler,
- 4:55Speaker 4: that trade's not really on the table anymore. But I
- 4:57Speaker 4: kind of took it as saying Lebron does don't really
- 5:00Speaker 4: care if Anthony Davis is there. This feels like it's
- 5:03Speaker 4: very close to a done deal with the Warriors, where
- 5:06Speaker 4: Brian Windhorse is saying he thinks the Warriors are going
- 5:09Speaker 4: to acquire Lebron today.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm seeing that that is the news that he
- 5:13Speaker 3: is going to make a move today. Look that to
- 5:16Speaker 3: me A terrible dad, This terrible father. And Stuart and
- 5:20Speaker 3: I were talking about this before, like the appeal of
- 5:23Speaker 3: that team, is it immediate championship contender? I mean, you
- 5:27Speaker 3: know in twenty sixteen it would be is an immediate
- 5:29Speaker 3: championship contender? Right now you're talking about Jimmy Butler. Now
- 5:31Speaker 3: you're talking about sort of duplicating skill sets right with
- 5:37Speaker 3: him and Lebron James. They want to spend them a
- 5:40Speaker 3: lot of time in the mid post. They want to
- 5:41Speaker 3: handle the ball some with Steph Curry Draymond Green, and
- 5:46Speaker 3: I just don't know. To me, I would be surprised
- 5:50Speaker 3: if that's the move Lebron made, because it's more about
- 5:53Speaker 3: novelty than it is about winning a championship.
- 5:56Speaker 2: If he went there with all those old guys that
- 5:58Speaker 2: g and Golden State would stand geriatrics about that.
- 6:03Speaker 3: And so yeah, where is that? You know again, we
- 6:06Speaker 3: talked about it yesterday. Draymond Green older. Yeah, he can
- 6:10Speaker 3: still defend. Yeah, he can still blow up a play,
- 6:12Speaker 3: but you're gonna expect some injuries out of him. Steph
- 6:14Speaker 3: Curry has had his share of nagging injuries.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Over the years.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Lebron James is gonna hit forty two during the season,
- 6:20Speaker 3: Jimmy Butler coming off of an acl like in terms
- 6:23Speaker 3: of sure things like that is far from it for Lebron.
- 6:25Speaker 1: It's odd, Yeah, Mikey.
- 6:27Speaker 3: It seems to me.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Like if Lebron goes there with Steph and it's like
- 6:32Speaker 5: that old band that's doing the last tour one more time,
- 6:37Speaker 5: Like the appeal is just, hey, come see these guys
- 6:40Speaker 5: before you can't.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, but this band has never played together before.
- 6:43Speaker 1: You know. It's like it's a new band, but they're
- 6:46Speaker 1: just all old.
- 6:48Speaker 3: And it's like, look at what they're going up against. Like, yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 3: Steph Curry isn't afraid of the thunder. Steph Curry isn't
- 6:55Speaker 3: afraid of Victor Webbin Yama because you can fly all
- 6:57Speaker 3: around the court and shoot from anywhere. But as a team,
- 7:00Speaker 3: are they still in position to say, hey, Steph, go
- 7:02Speaker 3: get us forty if you can, we'll deal with the
- 7:05Speaker 3: rest because the rest is still crazy. It's still Victor
- 7:07Speaker 3: Webin Yama is still a bunch of really good players
- 7:09Speaker 3: on that team. It's still the two time defending MVP
- 7:12Speaker 3: on OKC with a bunch of big players on that team.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And you're expecting what Draymond Green to be the one
- 7:17Speaker 3: guy that's gonna blow up all that stuff in the middle.
- 7:19Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know if he can still do that.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Is you're doing the angle for Lebron to Miami, if
- 7:24Speaker 4: Lebron was a good dad, he noticed Miami said it's
- 7:28Speaker 4: borderline sad with what Miami Heat fans are doing right now,
- 7:31Speaker 4: a ones very proud franchise. I would like to say,
- 7:33Speaker 4: as a Nick fan, Yeah, I think Lebron the timing
- 7:37Speaker 4: of this announcement is Lebron being a good dad because
- 7:41Speaker 4: Stude June twenty ninth was an important date for Bronni James.
- 7:46Speaker 4: If the Lakers waved Lebron, or if the Lakers waved
- 7:50Speaker 4: Bronni James yesterday by five pm, they would have saved
- 7:54Speaker 4: a ton of money on his contract because after that
- 7:57Speaker 4: time it became fully guaranteed. Entering yesterday, only one point
- 8:02Speaker 4: three million of Bronnie's contract was guaranteed. The Lakers could
- 8:06Speaker 4: have saved themselves about a million dollars in cap space
- 8:09Speaker 4: by releasing Bronnie. And I think bron was just a
- 8:13Speaker 4: great dad in this situation, making sure his son got
- 8:15Speaker 4: guaranteed money. And now he's looking at his son saying, son,
- 8:19Speaker 4: this is this is your chance to fly on your own.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Now leave the nest.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yep or it seems like dad of the year type stuff.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It really does, is he?
- 8:27Speaker 1: I mean, how dare you criticize him for being a
- 8:29Speaker 1: terrible dad.
- 8:30Speaker 3: What if it's just so the Lakers knew Lebron's leaving.
- 8:34Speaker 3: The Lakers know Lebron's not taking some small contract. The
- 8:37Speaker 3: Lakers know it's gonna end in a side in trade.
- 8:39Speaker 3: We have this piece Bronnie James will be involved in
- 8:42Speaker 3: that trade. You guys go together.
- 8:44Speaker 2: If only they knew he was legon. But this guy,
- 8:52Speaker 2: I mean, seriously, I mean, he's the Mike Brady of dads.
- 8:57Speaker 3: You're gonna have to explain that, mister Brady. Okay, so
- 9:00Speaker 3: he's just a good dad. He's a great kid.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Listen, he got his son to the NBA. I'm not
- 9:05Speaker 2: even certain his son deserves to be in the NBA
- 9:07Speaker 2: and the kids started a game for the Lakers.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 9:11Speaker 3: At the moment, he is currently a reasonable NBA player.
- 9:14Speaker 3: When he first got in, he had some work to do,
- 9:15Speaker 3: but he got some work done.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Without his dad. Would he be on an NBA team.
- 9:20Speaker 3: The way he's playing now, Yes, but no, he wouldn't
- 9:22Speaker 3: have gotten drafted initially.
- 9:23Speaker 2: No, right, but lebron was a bridge to the NBA.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It got him to the NBA faster. Yeah, Dad of
- 9:28Speaker 2: the Year type stuff. I mean, my dad didn't get
- 9:31Speaker 2: me to the NBA.
- 9:32Speaker 1: He did a lot for me. He's a great dad.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I love him dearly, but you know, he didn't get
- 9:36Speaker 1: me to the NBA.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Get him to the heat. He'll be Dad of this century.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Just because he's leaving Bronnie wo Spoe.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I mean, what's he gonna leave Bronni with in Golden State?
- 9:46Speaker 3: Steve Kirk gone, Steph Curry, God right, God him and
- 9:50Speaker 3: Chris Stavsporzingas, they're gonna be buddy, buddy, he's's.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Gonna be Bronny and an injured Jimmy Butler. So, Chris
- 9:56Speaker 2: Haynes is a great NBA reporter. He has a report
- 9:59Speaker 2: now that the cat have interest in pursuing Lebron James. Again,
- 10:03Speaker 2: this is the point that I made yesterday. We don't
- 10:06Speaker 2: have to announce every team that has interest in pursuing
- 10:09Speaker 2: one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Guess what report? Credit this to Taylor Ripplis. The Kings
- 10:15Speaker 4: have interest in pursuing Lebron jam That would be a
- 10:18Speaker 4: great spot for him, King James and the Kings.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Of all teams though, Cleveland, Yeah, of course, the guy
- 10:22Speaker 3: who won you the championship, the guy who made your
- 10:25Speaker 3: franchise what it is. Yeah, you'd be interested in bringing
- 10:27Speaker 3: him back.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So, just so we're clear, are you reporting that exclusively
- 10:30Speaker 2: the Kings have interest in Lebron James And you're right,
- 10:32Speaker 2: that would have been the perfect team for Lebron years ago.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Yes, the Kings have interest in bringing in Lebron James.
- 10:37Speaker 4: And also the Pelicans. I'm being told to have.
- 10:41Speaker 1: About the Nets. Do they have interest in bringing in
- 10:43Speaker 1: Lebron James.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to talk to my sources there, but
- 10:45Speaker 4: I am hearing Nets have interest in bringing in Lebron.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I was a Nets fan. The other day. They
- 10:50Speaker 3: said Mickel Brown Junior and Lebron James might get him
- 10:52Speaker 3: a championship.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Well, I was talking to a Heat fan in the
- 10:55Speaker 2: hallways before we started here, a stranger. I have no
- 10:58Speaker 2: idea who he is, but everyone's talking about out Lebron.
- 11:00Speaker 2: He said his head would explode if Lebron came back here. Wow,
- 11:03Speaker 2: I said, I'm assuming in a good way, he said,
- 11:05Speaker 2: in the.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Best possible way. I love that, dude.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I mean is he's not alone. Miami would love to
- 11:11Speaker 2: have Lebron back.
- 11:12Speaker 1: They would.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I'm not certain it gives him any sort of chance
- 11:14Speaker 2: of you know, I'll bending the knicks.
- 11:16Speaker 3: But I mean I literally wrote down an entire roster
- 11:21Speaker 3: players that the Miami Heat would have. What their roster
- 11:24Speaker 3: would look like if they just traded for Lebron and
- 11:26Speaker 3: Bronny and picked up like an Andre Drummond on the
- 11:29Speaker 3: side and maybe a Tim Hardaway junior.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Wow, what a team if the idea for Lebron.
- 11:34Speaker 2: If he were to tell you, hey, I'm just trying
- 11:36Speaker 2: to tack on rings.
- 11:37Speaker 1: That's it.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Forget about Bronny, forget about anything else, forget about money.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Where would you go if you're Lebron James.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Uh sorry, mckil bridges, I'm going to New York. I'm
- 11:47Speaker 3: thinking your spot. I mean, if it's just about that,
- 11:50Speaker 3: and you know it's never just about that, not with him, right,
- 11:53Speaker 3: But if it's just about that, it's a championship and
- 11:55Speaker 3: it's in New York, I'll go ahead and ride Jalen
- 11:58Speaker 3: Brunson's coattails to to my fifth championship.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Taylor, would you allow it? Yeah?
- 12:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm looking after the Yeah. So the Knicks keep
- 12:08Speaker 4: talking about this second apron after bringing back Landry Shaman
- 12:12Speaker 4: on what a what a contract that the town discount.
- 12:15Speaker 1: With the hometown cooking?
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, four years, twenty four million dollars six million a year?
- 12:19Speaker 4: Are you kidding me? For that kind of shooting and
- 12:21Speaker 4: that kind of defense off the bench and those kind
- 12:23Speaker 4: of balls.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I mean, jeez, it.
- 12:25Speaker 4: Looks like the Knicks have about somewhere between eight and
- 12:29Speaker 4: eleven million dollars for Lebron James before you get into
- 12:32Speaker 4: that second apron. If Lebron wants to make the numbers work,
- 12:35Speaker 4: the Knicks are interested. I've I've talked to my Knicks
- 12:38Speaker 4: r interest.
- 12:39Speaker 3: She just sent to text real quick.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Wow, I mean why not? Right?
- 12:43Speaker 2: You know that ship has sailed for me? If Lebron
- 12:45Speaker 2: wanted to do it. He should have done it, you know,
- 12:46Speaker 2: years ago, and help bring New York their first title.
- 12:49Speaker 2: He can't do it on the heels of them winning
- 12:51Speaker 2: their first NBA championship. Where he can go is a
- 12:54Speaker 2: place like San Antonio or Oklahoma City at say, hey,
- 12:58Speaker 2: I'm the reason we got past the Knicks, on the
- 13:00Speaker 2: reason that we won an NBA championship.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 13:04Speaker 5: He should have came to the Knicks when the Knicks
- 13:06Speaker 5: needed him, not when he needs the next correct.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yep, I've been saying it for years, so well, said Mikey.
- 13:11Speaker 3: It's really funny because yes yesterday we were doing radio
- 13:14Speaker 3: and got out of here before the John Morant news broke,
- 13:17Speaker 3: and today we can't even get to job because Lebron
- 13:19Speaker 3: James is still dominating free agency talk.
- 13:22Speaker 1: So it's interesting.
- 13:23Speaker 2: They asked if we can come back, and I was like, well,
- 13:26Speaker 2: you know, I only come back for Joe Flacco.
- 13:30Speaker 4: It's also interesting how fast things move in the sports
- 13:33Speaker 4: world because Stu said, where Lebron should go is San
- 13:37Speaker 4: Antonio or Oklahoma City. And if you would have had
- 13:40Speaker 4: the notion before the playoffs started, Lebron James is going
- 13:43Speaker 4: to join that Thunder team. Stu Gotts would have been
- 13:47Speaker 4: the loudest critic criticizing Lebron for choosing to go play
- 13:50Speaker 4: with SGA in that potential Dynasaum.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Yeah, no matter what the result, it's not a championship
- 13:55Speaker 3: in your record book, right if he goes to one
- 13:56Speaker 3: of those teams.
- 13:57Speaker 2: If he goes to Oklahoma City, I mean Western Conference
- 14:01Speaker 2: finals count, Yeah, that one counts. San Antonio does not count.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Going to the Knicks would not count. Going to the
- 14:08Speaker 2: Heat would count. Even with even with Giannis it would count. Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 2: I mean the Heat haven't won a title in a while,
- 14:14Speaker 2: so that would that would certainly count.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to think.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Of the other places the really Golden State.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I mean Golden State, it would count, of course. Yeah,
- 14:24Speaker 2: that's what you're putting together, a whole new team in
- 14:26Speaker 2: Golden State. If they were to win a title with
- 14:28Speaker 2: guys at that age who play so.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Few games, they're four time champions, I.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Know, but not this cores right, Well, it's Stephen Draymob
- 14:37Speaker 2: and No Clay. Now you're doing it with Jimmy Butler
- 14:39Speaker 2: and Lebron a little bit different, right, I'll give him
- 14:42Speaker 2: credit for that, okay, half a title, Stu.
- 14:44Speaker 4: You know how you always do the take of when
- 14:46Speaker 4: when a player's out that they're secretly rooting against their team.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Do you think any part of Giannis sees the Lebron
- 14:54Speaker 4: rumors and says, I don't really want Lebron here, Like
- 14:58Speaker 4: right now, I'm the guy in my Miami. If all
- 15:01Speaker 4: the sudden Lebron comes here, the Yanna story to Miami
- 15:04Speaker 4: becomes like a secondary story. Yeah, so this reunion, did
- 15:08Speaker 4: I say.
- 15:09Speaker 3: That on this show or did I just say that
- 15:10Speaker 3: out loud somewhere, Because when Yanna's first got here, I
- 15:12Speaker 3: was like, I don't know if he wants Lebron to
- 15:14Speaker 3: come here, which absolutely take over the storyline.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Well, I think Taylor is just expanding on one of
- 15:19Speaker 2: your thoughts the way you're going to expand that one
- 15:20Speaker 2: of my thoughts here in a.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Couple of minutes, that's all he'd no.
- 15:23Speaker 3: No, I was just I'm literally cool, rique I forget
- 15:24Speaker 3: where I say anything. So I was just wondering if
- 15:26Speaker 3: I said it here or somewhere else. But that's such
- 15:28Speaker 3: a great point, like if I'm y honest, Yannis does
- 15:30Speaker 3: seem like the guy who likes sort of the NBA
- 15:33Speaker 3: nostalgia and the novelty of it all. I remember when
- 15:35Speaker 3: he's in the All Star Game with Steph Right, he
- 15:38Speaker 3: loves that stuff. Remember that one jiff of him dancing
- 15:41Speaker 3: behind Kashad Johnson while he's dancing in the dunk contest,
- 15:45Speaker 3: Like he likes that stuff. So I think he would
- 15:46Speaker 3: love being teammates with Lebron, but maybe not his first
- 15:50Speaker 3: year in Miami.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I'm afraid what just happened there is I got caught
- 15:54Speaker 4: stealing a take from somebody on the ship.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta write those down where you get those pup.
- 16:04Speaker 2: You stolen Ariel Hawaane tape right after the next one
- 16:07Speaker 2: that you just that collaboration.
- 16:10Speaker 1: With Snoopy, you did it. It was him. No, I
- 16:13Speaker 1: also did that.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I can remember who says what no one could. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 2: so that's interesting. I imagine Wemby kind of be in
- 16:21Speaker 2: the same way. Hey, I don't need that fucking guy.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I'm good like I'm gonna win him eventually. I don't
- 16:28Speaker 2: need Lebron to come here and save me.
- 16:29Speaker 3: You know who else I don't think is down for that,
- 16:32Speaker 3: Greg Popovich Even now, it's just like, no, no, what
- 16:35Speaker 3: we do we beat Lebron. We don't take Lebron on
- 16:39Speaker 3: because he did it.
- 16:40Speaker 2: He did it twice, right, But Pop's not coaching the
- 16:42Speaker 2: guy who looks like the backup point guard.
- 16:43Speaker 3: But let's be real, hey, backup point guard might not
- 16:46Speaker 3: be coaching for much longer and be they're doing this
- 16:49Speaker 3: for Pop like they're doing this for Pop because you know,
- 16:51Speaker 3: I don't want to sound too morbid, but gotta get
- 16:53Speaker 3: this guy another championship before you know. We can't see
- 16:56Speaker 3: him around the stadium that often. You know that often?
- 16:58Speaker 2: But is he There's no way a team of Steph
- 17:01Speaker 2: Curry in your mind Steph Curry, Lebron, James Draymond Green,
- 17:08Speaker 2: Jimmy Butler, Chris stops porzingis man, this is ingas Yes,
- 17:12Speaker 2: I mean, they are doing what I've been begging a
- 17:15Speaker 2: team to do for years. Just put together a bunch
- 17:17Speaker 2: of aging superstars and see if they could make a
- 17:20Speaker 2: run at it.
- 17:20Speaker 1: You don't imagine that team could do anything, do you do?
- 17:23Speaker 3: I imagine all those players you mentioned can play at
- 17:25Speaker 3: least fifty five games next season, and whether they come
- 17:28Speaker 3: at the same time or not is really up to
- 17:30Speaker 3: up to question. Like even the Kristaps Porzingis of it all.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Do we have any idea what his health situation is
- 17:37Speaker 3: why he really missed all those games last year? You
- 17:40Speaker 3: had people dancing around the explanations to it, and now
- 17:43Speaker 3: we're going into another season. What assuming he's going to
- 17:45Speaker 3: be twenty twenty four, Porzis again like, it's just a
- 17:48Speaker 3: lot of question marks for me, and that is not
- 17:50Speaker 3: really something that normally Lebron is about.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Maybe if you have enough of those guys and you
- 17:55Speaker 2: spread it out, you just say, hey, Chris Stops, we
- 17:58Speaker 2: need forty one games out of a year and we
- 18:00Speaker 2: need you to be healthy for the postseason. Now, Porzingis
- 18:03Speaker 2: would respond forty one. Whoa, that's a lot of games.
- 18:10Speaker 4: It feels like the NBA is in such a weird
- 18:12Speaker 4: spot right now where you have anytime Lebron James becomes available,
- 18:16Speaker 4: that's gonna be the catalyst. But you have Giannis, you
- 18:19Speaker 4: have John Morant, you have whatever's happening in Boston with
- 18:22Speaker 4: Jalen Brown, where everybody is shuffling the decks so much
- 18:26Speaker 4: and the Knicks are just very quietly in the corner
- 18:28Speaker 4: being like we're just gonna try to run this back.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we're getting shabbed on the cheap yep.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I love it, And the Knicks also know that the
- 18:34Speaker 3: regular season, just stay in the top four. That's all
- 18:36Speaker 3: they really need to do. They don't need to be
- 18:38Speaker 3: a one seed.
- 18:38Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying with Golden State, that should be
- 18:40Speaker 2: the mission. Hey, I need enough of you to play
- 18:42Speaker 2: on any given night for us to have a top
- 18:44Speaker 2: four seed and then all be healthy for the postseason.
- 18:46Speaker 3: And that's kind of what happened in twenty two. I
- 18:48Speaker 3: mean even in twenty two, Steph I believe started those
- 18:50Speaker 3: playoffs injured and came off the bench when he did return.
- 18:53Speaker 3: So yeah, it's possible for that group. He if you're Lebron,
- 18:57Speaker 3: you're basing that based on exactly that, based on memories.
- 19:00Speaker 3: It's happened before. Of course it can happen with me,
- 19:03Speaker 3: but it's just a lot of what IF's over there.
- 19:06Speaker 3: At least with Miami, you have younger players, players more
- 19:08Speaker 3: in their prime, and frankly, it's a place you've done
- 19:10Speaker 3: it before, and when he gets here, he'd probably feel
- 19:12Speaker 3: pretty comfortable.
- 19:25Speaker 1: What is the thought I had that you wanted to
- 19:27Speaker 1: expand on here?
- 19:28Speaker 3: So all right, you guys, I want you to think
- 19:30Speaker 3: about this for a second. Okay, so let's go back
- 19:33Speaker 3: to you could leave him open. I think you leave
- 19:34Speaker 3: him open because Taylor has a hard time seeing things
- 19:36Speaker 3: when his eyes are closed, which would make sense.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Could see Karl Anthony Towns winning a title and he did.
- 19:40Speaker 3: So I want you to go back to what game
- 19:42Speaker 3: was that with the O g tip gets that Game four?
- 19:45Speaker 4: Game four?
- 19:45Speaker 3: Okay, I want you to and how much time was
- 19:47Speaker 3: left than that? Do you remember Taylor when he tipped that.
- 19:49Speaker 4: In like one point three or something?
- 19:51Speaker 3: So I want you to go back to that moment.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Remember Brunson. You know he shot it at the right time,
- 19:55Speaker 1: so it's great timing. So it was a pass, wasn't
- 20:00Speaker 1: a shot?
- 20:01Speaker 3: Oj tips it in? There's very there's one point whatever
- 20:04Speaker 3: time left on the clock. Knicks fans going nuts. Not
- 20:08Speaker 3: only is his game rs, but it looks like this
- 20:10Speaker 3: championship is ours. Scott Foster waves his hands in the
- 20:15Speaker 3: air and says, sorry, folks, two more minutes to play,
- 20:20Speaker 3: two more minutes to play. O g Ananoby's historical shot
- 20:26Speaker 3: becomes history, and not in the way that we remember
- 20:29Speaker 3: it now. It literally just boof out of our heads.
- 20:31Speaker 3: We won't remember it because there was two more minutes
- 20:33Speaker 3: to play.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yes, close your eyes this time.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Okay, So it's gonna gotta tell it a little bit
- 20:38Speaker 3: farther back.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I'm not certain when the thought came. It was taking
- 20:41Speaker 2: soccer roles from soccer and trying to make us sports better,
- 20:44Speaker 2: and I said, let's just extend time and make it
- 20:46Speaker 2: up as we go along.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I didn't actually take that from you, Taylor, did I
- 20:49Speaker 3: All right, now close your eyes and go to two
- 20:53Speaker 3: thousand and one. I'm gonna give you a second because
- 20:55Speaker 3: it takes a while to get hold on. I'll tell
- 20:57Speaker 3: you when I get there. Just past oh three like winter. Okay,
- 21:00Speaker 3: I'm there, all right, Rams Titans in the Super Bowl.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I was there, you were there. I was at there. Okay.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Do you remember the name of the wide receiver who
- 21:08Speaker 3: almost scored at the end?
- 21:09Speaker 2: Oh?
- 21:10Speaker 1: Was it a Dyson?
- 21:11Speaker 4: Wow?
- 21:11Speaker 3: Very good?
- 21:12Speaker 1: You are there. You are there close. I was there
- 21:14Speaker 1: with Hank Goldberg.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Yes, And now imagine he reaches out the Rams starts celebrating.
- 21:20Speaker 1: And at Hocule, let's just say guns, he was there.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Says wait a second, everyone, minute thirteen left on the clock.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Plenty of time for these Titans to score. Here, the
- 21:30Speaker 3: greatest show on turf might never win a championship. Yes,
- 21:33Speaker 3: I think this might be the greatest most sports altering
- 21:38Speaker 3: idea in history. And we're just taking it from soccer
- 21:41Speaker 3: because they already have it. Yes, the Guardian would not
- 21:44Speaker 3: allow that to happen. I mean it would take it. Listen,
- 21:49Speaker 3: what's Scott Foster's nickname? The extend it would be the
- 21:52Speaker 3: greatest extension of that nickname ever, because good lord, you
- 21:55Speaker 3: can extend anything he wants.
- 21:57Speaker 2: But how are you doing this? Are you announcing this
- 21:59Speaker 2: on the front end. You're putting a rule change in place,
- 22:02Speaker 2: right so the teams are aware of this, fans are
- 22:05Speaker 2: aware of this at this point.
- 22:06Speaker 5: Go ahead, Mikey, three little letters will save Scott Foster
- 22:10Speaker 5: all the time.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I s h two wish minutes left.
- 22:15Speaker 5: I'll end it when I want too.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Ish.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you got people in the crowd like staring at
- 22:19Speaker 3: the ref being like is he putting more time on that?
- 22:21Speaker 3: And they're all just guessing at the end whether so Og.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Tips that in and what does he do? Like Lee Corso,
- 22:26Speaker 1: not so fast, my friends.
- 22:27Speaker 3: He just runs to the middle of the floor. If
- 22:29Speaker 3: anybody starts celebrating, He's like hey, you stop. You know,
- 22:32Speaker 3: like the referees there when they're coming back from the
- 22:34Speaker 3: var and there's guys too close. No, you get away,
- 22:36Speaker 3: you get away? Yes, final decision, Yes, two minutes and
- 22:39Speaker 3: then everybody just like Wow. The crowd's either really happy
- 22:42Speaker 3: because their team gets to come back are really angry
- 22:44Speaker 3: because they thought they had that one in the bag.
- 22:46Speaker 2: I mean, I would love it, but I think us
- 22:48Speaker 2: sports fans would hate it, am I right?
- 22:49Speaker 3: I mean it's controversy. It gives us more to talk about, right.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but soccer it's so hard to score and come
- 22:54Speaker 2: back even with the extended time, Right, you give them
- 22:56Speaker 2: ten extra minutes, they still might not score. You gives it,
- 23:00Speaker 2: Antonio four extra minutes. You know they might lose a
- 23:02Speaker 2: game in the.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Four is a lot.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Yeah, four is a lot, right, Yes, that's the whole point.
- 23:06Speaker 3: I not give more time. I know, dangerous, more drama, I.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Know, but I'm just coming off a title in which
- 23:11Speaker 2: we did have that role and it worked out.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Swimming league for me, more.
- 23:13Speaker 4: Time for Malik Beasley. It has props.
- 23:17Speaker 3: The other thing, too, is the Knicks would have won
- 23:19Speaker 3: it easier, probably, right, because the more time was added,
- 23:22Speaker 3: the worst the Spurs got so it might have worked
- 23:24Speaker 3: out in your favor. Yeah, man, the drama.
- 23:26Speaker 1: But you're ruining moments too because the OG thing was
- 23:29Speaker 1: a moment.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Well, you might be creating additional moments by losing a
- 23:32Speaker 2: big moment.
- 23:33Speaker 1: OG's tippet.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Like, imagine when ray Allen hits the three and they're like, hey,
- 23:38Speaker 2: heat fans, not so fast, we still have seven minutes
- 23:44Speaker 2: to play.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Well, technically in that one, they still had five minutes
- 23:46Speaker 3: left to play because that just took them the overtime.
- 23:47Speaker 3: But yes, something like that. Go back to Warriors Calves
- 23:51Speaker 3: Game seven. I left, Izzy, that's why that's your eyes
- 23:53Speaker 3: are open again. Warriors Calve than O seven block by
- 23:56Speaker 3: James Kyrie, big three. Oh yeah that was It's Steph
- 23:59Speaker 3: Curry on Kevin Love what great defense. Oh the game
- 24:01Speaker 3: is not so fast.
- 24:03Speaker 1: My friend.
- 24:04Speaker 2: I mean I would love it, Yes, I would love it,
- 24:06Speaker 2: except when the Jets play. I don't want extended time
- 24:08Speaker 2: to see him be shitty for an extra seven minutes.
- 24:10Speaker 3: You know what, even the referee know, that referee is
- 24:13Speaker 3: just like, this game's a rap. In fact, two minutes left.
- 24:15Speaker 3: My bad, this game's over. Everybody go home. Mikey a
- 24:19Speaker 3: what happened to you.
- 24:20Speaker 2: I cannot believe this is the third most important thing.
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm glad you expanded on that. By the way, thank
- 24:25Speaker 1: you because I said it. I thought it was a
- 24:27Speaker 1: good idea at the time, but no one really commented.
- 24:29Speaker 3: No, you had to think about it. He really had to
- 24:30Speaker 3: close your eyes.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yep, mikey A, I'll just leave it alone. After I
- 24:34Speaker 2: say this, there was a man hunt on your street.
- 24:37Speaker 5: Yeah. So me and the family were out. We were
- 24:41Speaker 5: out at baseball practice. My wife had to run home,
- 24:43Speaker 5: and she goes, hey, can you give me a favor.
- 24:45Speaker 5: I keep getting ring alerts. Can you see if the
- 24:48Speaker 5: pool guy is there? So I go check a ring
- 24:51Speaker 5: and I'm like, oh, there's a guy walking around on
- 24:53Speaker 5: the back and then I swiped to the next one,
- 24:55Speaker 5: and then all of a sudden, there is an armed policeman,
- 24:58Speaker 5: gun drawn, looking in my back window. And I'm like, hey, hey, honey,
- 25:04Speaker 5: don't go home.
- 25:05Speaker 3: So like this, right, you're on the back window over here.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like this, yes, so the ring guys should be
- 25:13Speaker 2: Michael Jordan, right, I mean.
- 25:15Speaker 5: Yes, right, So I go maybe come back to practice,
- 25:20Speaker 5: don't go home? And uh so I pick up the
- 25:24Speaker 5: phone and I call the police department. I said, I
- 25:27Speaker 5: I live at this address and it seems to be
- 25:29Speaker 5: in guns drawn police officer walking around in my backyard
- 25:33Speaker 5: and he goes, yep, we're looking for some suspects. I go, oh, well,
- 25:38Speaker 5: can I go home? They go no, they're armed and dangerous.
- 25:41Speaker 5: You cannot go home. I'm like, well, where do I go?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Right?
- 25:46Speaker 5: They're like, I don't know really, but don't go home
- 25:50Speaker 5: and it's gonna be a while.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Wow. So how long did it take?
- 25:55Speaker 5: It was about it was about one in the morning
- 25:57Speaker 5: before I just was like, I'm going home, Like, my
- 26:01Speaker 5: my dog is locked up.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I have to go home.
- 26:03Speaker 5: So yeah, there was cops blocking like my whole street
- 26:07Speaker 5: and they were like, no, you can't go home.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I was like, I'm going home.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Like if you want to, if you want to walk
- 26:12Speaker 5: in my house with me to like check my house,
- 26:15Speaker 5: you're more.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Than welcome to.
- 26:17Speaker 5: But like, my dog has been locked up for hours
- 26:20Speaker 5: and I need to go home.
- 26:21Speaker 3: The family goes to baseball practice together.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Huh uh. It was more.
- 26:26Speaker 5: It was there's more to it, but I was skipping
- 26:28Speaker 5: that part.
- 26:28Speaker 2: He was a good dad, did you did you walk
- 26:32Speaker 2: in your house?
- 26:34Speaker 3: Well, for like house kind of gun drawn on your
- 26:37Speaker 3: own where you're just like, hey, it's anybody in here?
- 26:39Speaker 5: I was, I listened, did I have like one of
- 26:42Speaker 5: my kids baseball bats going like I think?
- 26:44Speaker 1: I think, I say you okay, it's nobody. No, no, no,
- 26:47Speaker 1: there you are.
- 26:48Speaker 3: No no nobody.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:50Speaker 5: And of course because because why not, this was the
- 26:54Speaker 5: day my wife forgot to lock all of the doors.
- 26:58Speaker 5: Every single door was open.
- 27:00Speaker 3: An you guys ever been broken into?
- 27:02Speaker 1: Nope? Yeah?
- 27:04Speaker 4: Tell me if money wasn't a thing, I think i'd
- 27:07Speaker 4: be a man hunter. And I think i'd be damn
- 27:09Speaker 4: good at it.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Really, yeah, why do you think you'd be good at it?
- 27:12Speaker 3: I think i'd be good at.
- 27:14Speaker 4: I just think I I just think I have a
- 27:17Speaker 4: good I think I would have it.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Now.
- 27:19Speaker 4: I don't have anything to back this up. I just
- 27:21Speaker 4: think I would have a great ability to track people down.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Like if my if my old it's a guest booker
- 27:26Speaker 4: after all, if my only ability or if my only
- 27:30Speaker 4: requirement was hey, find this person, this is their last
- 27:35Speaker 4: known location. This is like if I had access to
- 27:38Speaker 4: like their bank accounts and all of this and being
- 27:41Speaker 4: able to track people that way. I'm just saying I
- 27:43Speaker 4: think I would be able to put all the pieces
- 27:45Speaker 4: together and puzzle.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Be like, Hm, I'm right on this guy, right.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Yeah, Hey Taylor, do me a favorite manhunt Ben Johnson
- 27:55Speaker 5: because we were we were promised to get him a
- 27:57Speaker 5: while ago.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Yes, and yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 5: From what I've seen, manhunting is about two things, having
- 28:03Speaker 5: a dog and having a drone.
- 28:05Speaker 1: That's what I learned last night.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Put it on the Paul Taylor's Man Hunting about two things,
- 28:09Speaker 2: having a dog and having a drone. I would hire
- 28:13Speaker 2: Alison Turner for that job. For a man hunt, Like
- 28:16Speaker 2: you tell Alison Turner, hey, we need this person by
- 28:18Speaker 2: the end of the day. She is going to find
- 28:20Speaker 2: that person by the end of the day, is he
- 28:21Speaker 2: Why do you think you'd be good at manhunting?
- 28:24Speaker 3: Oh, I'm gonna hunt down a man
