Speaker 1: Ladies, gentlemen, welcome to a very special episode with the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Locker Room. As always. My name is Tayl Lawana. I'm
• 0:05
Speaker 1: a part of the show. The future Commissioner of college
• 0:07
Speaker 1: football Josh Pate hughes here. He had a massive milestone
• 0:12
Speaker 1: on his YouTube account. We'll get into that during the show.
• 0:14
Speaker 1: And then finally, the one, the only Willie Bompton, Will Compton,
• 0:18
Speaker 1: He's with us. See it be. Conference Championship weekend is
• 0:21
Speaker 1: a beautiful time to be alive. The college will playoff bracket,
• 0:24
Speaker 1: It's all over the place. There's about three teams that
• 0:26
Speaker 1: are sitting on the outside looking in. We're thinking to ourselves,
• 0:28
Speaker 1: do they need to be in not out? On maybe
• 0:29
Speaker 1: these teams? Why are we doing G five's I don't know.
• 0:32
Speaker 1: But Championship weekend, this is where we're gonna go over
• 0:34
Speaker 1: North Texas Tulane. Biggest storyline coming out of that. Both
• 0:37
Speaker 1: teams do not have their head coach, Duke Virginia. Everyone
• 0:41
Speaker 1: and their mother who loves chaos is focused on Duke
• 0:44
Speaker 1: BYU versus Texas Tech. We saw this a couple of
• 0:46
Speaker 1: weeks ago. It'll probably be the same result, but you'll
• 0:49
Speaker 1: find out. As Josh pay breaks it down Alabama versus
• 0:51
Speaker 1: George the SEC Championship. A lot of people wondering why
• 0:54
Speaker 1: does it matter with the new playoff bracket. We're gonna
• 0:57
Speaker 1: get into that a lot of juicy good information, a
• 1:00
Speaker 1: special thing happening during that game.
• 1:01
Speaker 2: Just stay tuned for that. Indiana, Ohio State one and
• 1:05
Speaker 2: two for the Big Ten Championship.
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: It's a beautiful time to be a live Let's look
• 1:08
Speaker 1: at the record from last week. Myself three and two,
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Josh Pate three and two, Will Compton four and one.
• 1:15
Speaker 1: On the day, he's making himself a little jump as.
• 1:18
Speaker 2: We had closer close at the end of the season.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: Right now I'm seeing at five hundred the boys are
• 1:21
Speaker 1: sitting just below that rapid fire result this week, I'll
• 1:24
Speaker 1: just take a look for yourself. Let's have a hell
• 1:25
Speaker 1: of a show. And by the way, do me a
• 1:28
Speaker 1: favor if you're tuning into this, if you're a Josh
• 1:30
Speaker 1: pet fan, a Will Compton fan, a tailor, the wand fan,
• 1:32
Speaker 1: or I don't know, Derek Hargis fan, do me a
• 1:34
Speaker 1: favor and subscribe to this show. We need it more
• 1:37
Speaker 1: than ever. It's free for you and it helps us
• 1:40

Speaker 2: We've got a conference championship a weekend ahead of us,
• 2:27
Speaker 2: but before we dive in, let's talk about the boosting
• 2:30
Speaker 2: with the Boys Profit Boost top.
• 2:31
Speaker 1: That's right, Well, it's beautiful time to be alive. We
• 2:33
Speaker 1: of course got some great games this weekend. Think you
• 2:36
Speaker 1: know how a few of them are going to play
• 2:37
Speaker 1: out parlay or picks together and boost your odds. We'll
• 2:40
Speaker 1: get a juicy pai day. We will get you'll get
• 2:43
Speaker 1: a juicy or payout as you ride out the slate.
• 2:46
Speaker 2: We've had a week's worth of examples of people hitting
• 2:49
Speaker 2: big on these parlays with the boost, and we've got
• 2:51
Speaker 2: one here to share with.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: We're talking nineteen leg parlay Boys nineteen legs and I
• 2:56
Speaker 1: don't know how our group chat can't figure this out.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: Nineteen legs. This person had plus twelve, three hundred and
• 3:03
Speaker 1: fourteen odds and the total payout was sixty two thousand,
• 3:06
Speaker 1: sixty eight dollars and ninety cents.
• 3:08
Speaker 2: That's incredible, that's incredible. Why don't we do that? Hey?
• 3:12
Speaker 2: A lot of why not this weekend? Why not this weekend?
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Visit fandom dot com slash busting to download the app
• 3:17
Speaker 2: and start cooking up your parlay today, gentlemen, before we
• 3:20
Speaker 2: get started, Taylor, a big reason that we started Busting
• 3:25
Speaker 2: with the Boys is to bring the locker room to life, yep,
• 3:28
Speaker 2: to celebrate our boys, to show, like get interviews of
• 3:31
Speaker 2: guys where you usually have the helmet on and you're
• 3:34
Speaker 2: not really getting to tell your story. People don't really
• 3:36
Speaker 2: get to know you like that unless it's in the
• 3:37
Speaker 2: locker room with the camera in your face and the
• 3:39
Speaker 2: microphone where you're not gonna give bits of it.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: Show a whole lot of personality. Because you have to
• 3:42
Speaker 1: veil the football in front of your.
• 3:43
Speaker 2: Face, you allow the player and the people we have
• 3:46
Speaker 2: on the bus to kind of control their story and
• 3:47
Speaker 2: find ways to celebrate them in their success. We have
• 3:50
Speaker 2: somebody very close to us. We had a massive milestone
• 3:53
Speaker 2: last night live in front of the world, and it
• 3:56
Speaker 2: was Josh Pate with the goal of getting the five
• 3:59
Speaker 2: hundred k subscribe. He hit it live last night during
• 4:02
Speaker 2: his show, and we have found a way to celebrate
• 4:04
  Speaker 2: the boy.
• 4:05
Speaker 1: Bring out the balloons. Walk it special. Man, that all
• 4:13
Speaker 1: that kind of says five hundred K.
• 4:16
Speaker 3: That's amazing, dude, possibly the nicest thing anyone's ever done
• 4:21
Speaker 3: for me. The I Do ballon is this lead based
• 4:24
Speaker 3: paint anchoring the ballues.
• 4:25
Speaker 1: It has to be. We know you're an old school guy.
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: Paint paint.
• 4:30
Speaker 3: There's a couple of zeros the five k there we go, yeah,
• 4:34
Speaker 3: because that's just fifty, which is still respected, but five
• 4:37
Speaker 3: hundred a little bit better. Hey, who stood.
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: Hoops Very quickly.
• 4:42
Speaker 4: I was told to pass along the message that the
• 4:44
Speaker 4: ring the I Do is you accepting the role of
• 4:48
Speaker 4: commission of college football.
• 4:50
Speaker 3: So that's official. Not we have the power on this show.
• 4:53
  Speaker 2: We have.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: We don't have the power in the show. You have
• 4:55
Speaker 1: the power on this show.
• 4:56
Speaker 2: We have the power.
• 4:58
Speaker 1: We because we are your right hand men. Right and
• 5:00
Speaker 1: left hand men also have the power on the show.
• 5:02
Speaker 3: That's what the foxhole is all about.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: You come in, you go, you do this, you please.
• 5:06
Speaker 1: As long as you're in it at the right time,
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: you're the guy.
• 5:09
Speaker 2: Say what, it's starting to seep in there a little
• 5:11
Speaker 2: bit more. Coach Coach mc guire.
• 5:13
Speaker 3: Headed to the Big twelve Championship game. But what's on
• 5:15
Speaker 3: his mind? Future Commissioner of College, Future Commissioner College?
• 5:18
Speaker 1: Hey did you text it about that?
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: Like?
• 5:19
Speaker 1: How did you? He just randomly was in a press conference.
• 5:21
Speaker 1: He was like, let me just shout out, Josh Paper.
• 5:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like his sid hit me up and said, Joey
• 5:27
Speaker 3: just said this, which to me means you guys are
• 5:29
Speaker 3: just sitting around, you know, between practice out there, and
• 5:32
Speaker 3: he said that. It wasn't until an hour later one
• 5:34
Speaker 3: of my buddies said, hey, cool, shout out and McGuire's
• 5:36
Speaker 3: press conference and I said, say what now? And then
• 5:39
Speaker 3: I go and watch and I'm just clapping in my
• 5:42
Speaker 3: car at the YMCA. I just took the caffeine water.
• 5:45
Speaker 3: Elbows are going a little itchy, adrenalines flow in and
• 5:49
Speaker 3: uh yeah, so first coach, but probably not the last coach.
• 5:52
Speaker 3: Like now it's you don't want to be first, but
• 5:54
Speaker 3: you don't want to be third. So like, who's going
• 5:55
Speaker 3: to be second to publicly use their platform to do
• 5:59
  Speaker 3: the responsible thing?
• 6:00
  Speaker 2: You know?
• 6:00
Speaker 1: And the big thing is they're probably going to win
• 6:01
Speaker 1: the Big twelve Championship. So now you have the Big
• 6:04
Speaker 1: twelve Championship winner, claiming Josh paid is the commissioner of
• 6:06
Speaker 1: college football. Now we need legit just two more dominance
• 6:10
Speaker 1: to fall Big ten at SEC. We get those that
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: two done.
• 6:13
Speaker 3: It just completely dismissed the ACC. Yeah, not even there
• 6:15
  Speaker 3: at this point.
• 6:16
Speaker 1: I mean, based on his college football bracket, right, are
• 6:18
Speaker 1: we all kind of dismissing the ACC? I am you
• 6:21
Speaker 1: were this year you did announce the ACEC for twenty
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: twenty five season.
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: I don't denounce. I think the only resume that's worth
• 6:28
Speaker 2: talking about is Miami's.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: But even then, is it worth talking about? Because because
• 6:34
Speaker 1: my thing, my whole thing last night.
• 6:35
Speaker 2: Did you watch this show last night?
• 6:37
Speaker 1: I watched part of it, but my daughter, she was
• 6:39
Speaker 1: on a swing, she hit the back of her head.
• 6:40
  Speaker 1: It's a whole story.
• 6:41
  Speaker 3: Wow.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: Well, the one clan's not having a good time on
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: half of November.
• 6:47
Speaker 2: Because he's he's on his platform saying Miami has to
• 6:51
Speaker 2: be in over Notre Dame.
• 6:53
Speaker 3: No, no, no, Notre Dame.
• 6:55
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, not Dame, Notre Dame beat, or sorry, Miami
• 6:58
Speaker 1: beat Notre Dame. So yes, I agree with you.
• 7:00
Speaker 3: Careful, it's not that simple. It's not as simple as play.
• 7:03
Speaker 3: I'm speaking sarcastically. Of course, you're right, because you know,
• 7:05
Speaker 3: you play the game on the field, and you're thinking
• 7:08
Speaker 3: to yourself, hey, man, if the resumes are like remotely
• 7:10
Speaker 3: comparable and we've played, shouldn't I get the edge? And
• 7:14
Speaker 3: then the Notre Dame calculator heads come in and like whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
• 7:17
Speaker 3: There's so much more you need to know. And you
• 7:19
Speaker 3: would sit there and listen to all that. It would
• 7:20
Speaker 3: take like an hour, and then you would go, well
• 7:23
Speaker 3: that just made my head spin. But still they played
• 7:26
Speaker 3: on the same field, right, yes, and obviously they're comparable
• 7:31
Speaker 3: because they're ranked right next to each other. Right. They
• 7:34
Speaker 3: would just sit there with their mouth open and you
• 7:35
Speaker 3: would say, okay, Miami over Notre Dame. Really, people overthink
• 7:38
Speaker 3: the room on this stuff because they have too much
• 7:40
Speaker 3: time to sit around and thing. It really doesn't have
• 7:42
Speaker 3: to be that complicated. It can be if we didn't play,
• 7:44
Speaker 3: but if you and I played and then our resumes
• 7:46
Speaker 3: look similar. Like what a disservice to head to head
• 7:50
Speaker 3: results to try and speak over them, like one of
• 7:53
Speaker 3: the big talking points. I get it. If I were
• 7:54
Speaker 3: a Notre Dame fan, I'd be fighting to get my
• 7:55
Speaker 3: team in. I understand that one of the talking points
• 7:58
Speaker 3: has been well, yeah, head to head does, Matt. It
• 8:00
Speaker 3: is a data point, but it's not the only data point.
• 8:02
Speaker 3: The committee needs to look at everything they are, but
• 8:04
Speaker 3: the data points don't have to be weighted equally, Like
• 8:07
Speaker 3: if I got a head to head result and I
• 8:09
Speaker 3: beat you on the field, and then everything else is
• 8:12
Speaker 3: kind of shades of gray. The most common sense viewpoint
• 8:15
Speaker 3: in the world, Like my sister could walk in and say, okay,
• 8:17
Speaker 3: well let's just put the head to head winner over
• 8:19
Speaker 3: the head to head loser. It really is that simple. Yeah,
• 8:21
Speaker 3: that's why she wins the March Madness Bracket every year.
• 8:24
Speaker 3: She doesn't overthink the room, and in this case, you
• 8:26
Speaker 3: don't have to overthink the room on this. You got
• 8:28
Speaker 3: a result on the field and you should honor it.
• 8:31
Speaker 2: Well, the way it started is what is it? Notre
• 8:34
Speaker 2: Dame comes out at eight, Miami's at eighteen, Like I'm
• 8:37
Speaker 2: with you. When Notre Dames started oh and two, you
• 8:41
Speaker 2: look at the rest of their schedule and the majority
• 8:45
Speaker 2: of college football fans is like, Notre Dame's out. There's
• 8:48
Speaker 2: no way. We all know that they're probably going to
• 8:49
Speaker 2: sneak in somehow, but there's no way. They start off
• 8:52
Speaker 2: oh and two against Miami, who was ranked eated at
• 8:55
  Speaker 2: the time.
• 8:56
Speaker 3: And then you lose the tx A and we talked
• 8:57
  Speaker 3: about it, who's.
• 8:58
Speaker 2: In it again? Collectively four points of these two teams,
• 9:02
Speaker 2: And you're sitting there and you look at Miami and
• 9:04
Speaker 2: you are fired up for Miami because they were a
• 9:07
Speaker 2: top three team at one point. And all Miami has
• 9:10
Speaker 2: to do is handle their simple ACC schedule and could
• 9:15
Speaker 2: lose a game, yes, and could lose one game, but
• 9:18
Speaker 2: they lost two games. Like if you look at Miami,
• 9:20
Speaker 2: SU and Louisville, yeah, it's like you go look at Miami, like,
• 9:24
Speaker 2: just go handle your ACC schedule, which is the worst
• 9:28
Speaker 2: Power four conference this year they played against their when
• 9:31
Speaker 2: they played across conference against Big twelve teams, ACC went
• 9:34
Speaker 2: one and six first Big twelve teams like by far
• 9:37
Speaker 2: and away, the ACC is the worst conference this year
• 9:39
Speaker 2: of the Power four, and all you gotta do is
• 9:41
Speaker 2: go handle your ACC schedule, not including a schedule that
• 9:44
Speaker 2: doesn't include Virginia nor Duke, who's both in the ACC Championship,
• 9:49
Speaker 2: Georgia Tech, who was like a front runner in the
• 9:51
Speaker 2: AEC until they kind of pissed on their leg there
• 9:53
Speaker 2: at the end. But those three teams were on their schedule.
• 9:55
Speaker 2: It was SMU pitt in Louisville and they lost to
• 9:58
Speaker 2: SMU and Louisville and their overtime, which one came first,
• 10:02
Speaker 2: was it? It was Louville and then they lost to
• 10:05
Speaker 2: SMU and they lose right there at the end of
• 10:07
Speaker 2: October or right at the beginning of November to SMU
• 10:11
Speaker 2: and OT after losing to a very average Louisville team
• 10:15
Speaker 2: in the ACC to where when you lost the first one,
• 10:18
Speaker 2: you went from three ranking down to ten, not that
• 10:20
Speaker 2: bad of a drop, but then when you lose to SMU,
• 10:23
Speaker 2: who was six and three at the time in the ACC,
• 10:26
Speaker 2: who lost a Baylor who had lost the TCU, who
• 10:29
Speaker 2: had had some crossover against other conferences, you lose the
• 10:32
Speaker 2: SMU and then you dropped to what was it like
• 10:34
Speaker 2: eighteen twenty like Notre Dame, after they lost their first
• 10:37
Speaker 2: two weeks, they dropped all the way to twenty four.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: And it's not like they were making leap frogs bounds
• 10:42
Speaker 2: up to the top ten, like incrementally they climbed throughout
• 10:45
Speaker 2: the rest of the season because they skunked everybody that
• 10:47
Speaker 2: they were playing. I believe a heavier ACC schedule.
• 10:51
Speaker 1: I believe there was a stat as well Notre Dame
• 10:53
Speaker 1: was the first team in the modern area to go
• 10:55
Speaker 1: start zero to two and still being in the top
• 10:56
  Speaker 1: twenty five.
• 10:57
Speaker 3: Is that a correct stat possibly?
• 10:58
  Speaker 1: I think so.
• 11:00
Speaker 2: I think they started Yeah, I believe they dropped all
• 11:02
Speaker 2: the way to twenty four twenty. But again, you look
• 11:03
Speaker 2: at Miami, who is a good football team. I wanted
• 11:06
Speaker 2: like when Miami started off the way they did, it's
• 11:09
Speaker 2: like it would be great, Miami makes us run. But
• 11:11
Speaker 2: when they get in these moments and Miami becomes Miami
• 11:14
Speaker 2: and Carson Beck becomes Carson Beck. They lost two games
• 11:17
Speaker 2: in a very average ACC schedule that they should have
• 11:19
Speaker 2: easily been able to handle, and they hurt their self
• 11:22
Speaker 2: doing that. To where then when the college wall playoff
• 11:25
Speaker 2: rankings open up on day one, and you could say
• 11:28
Speaker 2: that's where it sucked. That's where it was kind of
• 11:30
Speaker 2: tough for Miami to get in the conversation. But Miami
• 11:33
Speaker 2: started at eighteen when the CFP rankings came out after
• 11:37
Speaker 2: again their second loss to SMU. So coming off a loss,
• 11:40
Speaker 2: they get ranked at eighteen. Notre Dame gets ranked in
• 11:42
Speaker 2: the top ten. So you're incrementally putting them closer together
• 11:46
Speaker 2: to where now they can be side by side. But
• 11:48
Speaker 2: you kind of the whole system gets messed up if
• 11:50
Speaker 2: you're sitting there and it's like you just make a decision, Hey,
• 11:52
Speaker 2: we're gonna put Miami in over Notre Dame.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: Like I agree, Miami has his head.
• 11:57
Speaker 2: To head win, but the head to head win the
• 11:59
Speaker 2: only playoff caliber team Miami has faced is Notre Dame,
• 12:03
Speaker 2: and it came at the very end of August against
• 12:06
Speaker 2: a freshman quarterback who had his first career start at
• 12:09
Speaker 2: home on your home turf in Miami, and you beat
• 12:12
Speaker 2: him by three. It came down to the last three
• 12:14
Speaker 2: minutes of the game. So the way Notre Dames played,
• 12:17
Speaker 2: the progress that they've made, the way that they've been
• 12:19
Speaker 2: beating every team by double digits, car has clearly gotten
• 12:22
Speaker 2: better offensive line's gotten better, defense has been much better,
• 12:25
Speaker 2: opportunists down the strets to their back of the ball,
• 12:27
Speaker 2: and Jeremiah Love since that, since that third week, he's
• 12:30
Speaker 2: looked like this Heisman winner or this Heisman candidate that
• 12:33
Speaker 2: we all you know, you bet it on him to
• 12:34
Speaker 2: be the Heisman guy before the season. But he is clearly,
• 12:37
Speaker 2: debatably arguably the best player in college football. And they
• 12:40
Speaker 2: have momentum with Marcus Freeman, a coach who again they
• 12:43
Speaker 2: lost in Northern Illinois last year early, But where did
• 12:46
Speaker 2: they end up at the end of the year The
• 12:47
Speaker 2: national championship. So we're sitting here looking at the college
• 12:50
Speaker 2: football playoffs and who would have the best chance to
• 12:53
Speaker 2: go get a national title. It's it's kind of hard
• 12:56
Speaker 2: for me to say, Yeah, Miami should very easily, without
• 12:59
Speaker 2: a doubt. No debate should be in over Notre Dame
• 13:01
Speaker 2: versus because of what Miami did to themselves during the
• 13:03
Speaker 2: season in an ACC schedule, and the ACC sucks this year.
• 13:07
Speaker 3: Yeah, my retort to that is I would pick Notre
• 13:10
Speaker 3: Dame to beat Miami today. So like, no one needs
• 13:13
Speaker 3: to convince me they think Notre Dame is a better team.
• 13:15
  Speaker 3: Like I'm telling you this is a guy. I'm a
• 13:19
Speaker 3: guy who believes Miami should be over Notre Dame, and
• 13:21
Speaker 3: I'm gonna grant you several points. The ACC sucks this year. Check.
• 13:24
Speaker 3: It's inexcusable Miami lost those two games, no excuse for it.
• 13:28
  Speaker 1: Check.
• 13:28
Speaker 3: I think Notre Dame is a better team than Miami.
• 13:30
  Speaker 5: Check.
• 13:31
Speaker 3: All Right, So the first two points, those are already
• 13:34
Speaker 3: baked into my opinion. They were already baked in even
• 13:37
Speaker 3: going into this weekend or this last Yet last night,
• 13:40
Speaker 3: when the rankings were released, you knew the AC not you.
• 13:42
Speaker 3: The committee knew the ACC sucked. The committee knew that
• 13:45
Speaker 3: Miami had two losses. All that's already baked into the
• 13:47
Speaker 3: pie going into last night, and they're ranked within one
• 13:50
Speaker 3: spot of each other. Right, Okay, so that's the current
• 13:53
Speaker 3: state of affairs. Then the other part of it is,
• 13:56
Speaker 3: all right, the eyeball test, which I think has carried
• 14:00
Speaker 3: the day for Notre Dame so far. Like I truly
• 14:02
Speaker 3: believe what's happened is they have gotten those people in
• 14:05
Speaker 3: that room and there are enough people who just flat
• 14:08
Speaker 3: out say what all three of us just said, We
• 14:10
Speaker 3: kind of just think Notre Dame is the better team
• 14:12
Speaker 3: to where that's carried today, that's seesawed heavier than the
• 14:16
Speaker 3: head to head result has seesawed. The difference in me,
• 14:19
Speaker 3: I think in a lot of people in that committee
• 14:21
Speaker 3: is I don't care about the eyeball test that includes
• 14:23
Speaker 3: my eyeball test, because we've done this show every week
• 14:26
Speaker 3: this year, Right, have any of us gone close to
• 14:28
Speaker 3: perfect We even last week or one.
• 14:31
Speaker 2: You came close to a.
• 14:32
Speaker 3: Perfect week last week, but even you went four in one, right,
• 14:34
Speaker 3: which means no one's football acumen, no one's predictive nature
• 14:39
Speaker 3: is flawless. So if you could ever screw up judging
• 14:42
Speaker 3: a game predictably, why would I value your eyeball test
• 14:47
Speaker 3: or my eyeball test when we've got critical data and
• 14:50
Speaker 3: metrics that we predefine that are on a piece of paper.
• 14:52
Speaker 3: Now you're right that they can't play this weekend. Neither
• 14:56
Speaker 3: of those teams can play this weekend. So I look,
• 14:58
Speaker 3: none of this is logic. We're applying logic to any
• 15:01
Speaker 3: logical situation already, because that's just the nature of.
• 15:03
Speaker 2: A telioris structure of the play.
• 15:05
Speaker 3: But I understand someone driving around right now, or someone
• 15:09
Speaker 3: just hanging out and there watching the show and they're thinking,
• 15:11
Speaker 3: all right, even having set all that word salad, if
• 15:14
Speaker 3: both of these teams are ranked where they are, neither
• 15:17
Speaker 3: of them play this weekend, how could one ever jump
• 15:20
Speaker 3: the other one? And the answer is it shouldn't happen.
• 15:23
Speaker 3: The answer part B is Miami should have already been
• 15:25
Speaker 3: a head of Notre Dame in my opinion. But Part
• 15:26
Speaker 3: C is I think it can still happen because of
• 15:29
Speaker 3: the ACC doomsday scenario that we have telegraphed on this
• 15:32
Speaker 3: show for like a month. We've been talking about this
• 15:35
Speaker 3: as a possibility, but we're here now seven and five.
• 15:38
Speaker 3: Duke could win the ACC Saturday, and if they do,
• 15:42
Speaker 3: they're not going to the playoff because they won't be
• 15:44
Speaker 3: one of the five highest rank conference champs. So you'll
• 15:47
Speaker 3: have the SEC's Champ, the Big Tens Champ, the Big
• 15:49
Speaker 3: Twelves Champ. You'll get two G five's in there, and
• 15:52
Speaker 3: then it'll just be up to seven more spots for
• 15:55
Speaker 3: at large teams. And I believe if Brigham Young loses
• 15:59
Speaker 3: that Big twelve championship game, I think they would remove
• 16:02
Speaker 3: themselves from being the last remaining team between Notre Dame
• 16:05
Speaker 3: and Miami, and I think that would just put Notre
• 16:07
Speaker 3: Dame in Miami head to head on selection Sunday, and
• 16:10
Speaker 3: the committee would have to look at that. If Duke
• 16:12
Speaker 3: wins the ACC Championship game, the committee would have to
• 16:16
Speaker 3: look at that and say, well, we either put Miami
• 16:20
Speaker 3: in or we don't put an ACC team in. And
• 16:23
Speaker 3: I don't really care. Like You're right, the ACC's hot garbage.
• 16:26
Speaker 3: It's terrible this year. This system was not built to
• 16:29
Speaker 3: lock out power for conferences. It was not built to
• 16:33
Speaker 3: exclude an entire power conference at the expense of having
• 16:36
Speaker 3: multiple G five teams in just not the way it
• 16:38
Speaker 3: was built. It's an ATM and it's built to spit
• 16:41
Speaker 3: money a certain way. It's unpopular to say, but that's
• 16:43
Speaker 3: the reality of it. I think that committee could take
• 16:46
Speaker 3: another hard look at Notre Dame Miami given light of
• 16:50
Speaker 3: that new situation, and at the eleventh hour, jump Miami,
• 16:54
Speaker 3: and if you think that's impossible. Hunter Yurchik has largely
• 16:57
Speaker 3: been a train wreck the playoff committee chair when he
• 16:59
Speaker 3: explained this stuff, But one thing Rhese Davis pinned him
• 17:02
Speaker 3: down on last night is could idle teams move? Could
• 17:07
Speaker 3: there be movement between idle teams the final conference championship weekend,
• 17:12
Speaker 3: and he said, yes, they can move. He refused to
• 17:15
Speaker 3: say that the rankings for teams that aren't playing this
• 17:18
Speaker 3: weekend are fixed. So they move Bama up ahead of
• 17:21
Speaker 3: Notre Dame last night. So Notre Dame got one spot
• 17:24
Speaker 3: closer to Miami if Brigham Young loses, and they're nearly
• 17:27
Speaker 3: a two touchdown underdog. If they lose, that's the last
• 17:30
Speaker 3: remaining team between Notre Dame and Miami, at which point
• 17:33
Speaker 3: on selection Sunday, those two will be right next to
• 17:35
Speaker 3: each other. And you're telling me that the head to
• 17:37
Speaker 3: head result with teams that comparable is not going to
• 17:41
Speaker 3: push Miami over the finish line. I believe it would.
• 17:44
Speaker 2: It could. I mean, how much is like money and
• 17:46
  Speaker 2: ratings and.
• 17:47
Speaker 3: That doesn't matter. You're telling me that matters.
• 17:50
Speaker 2: You don't think any of the money matters.
• 17:53
Speaker 3: That's a brand like Notre Dame out.
• 17:55
Speaker 2: Of the keep it a brand like Notre Dame out
• 17:57
Speaker 2: of the playoff when they started at A like their system, Yeah,
• 18:01
Speaker 2: their system Notre Dame started at A. They've been in
• 18:04
Speaker 2: the playoff the whole time, and you're gonna say the
• 18:07
Speaker 2: way that they've been beating everybody handedly that they're slowly
• 18:11
Speaker 2: just going to trickle out and then they're just going
• 18:12
Speaker 2: to be out of the college football playoff.
• 18:14
Speaker 3: Remember this this past weekend. It's not like nothing happened
• 18:17
Speaker 3: this past weekend. Okay, Notre Dame's demolition of pit a
• 18:21
Speaker 3: few weeks ago, that was a really big talking point,
• 18:23
Speaker 3: Like that really boosted Notre Names resume. Remember that's a
• 18:26
Speaker 3: ranked versus rings. You didn't care game days up there, like,
• 18:30
Speaker 3: that's that's all well and good, you go beat them,
• 18:32
Speaker 3: I think thirty seven to fifteen or something like that.
• 18:34
Speaker 3: All right, So the committee really said, man, that's that's
• 18:36
Speaker 3: great for Notre Dame, which it was. Miami just went
• 18:38
Speaker 3: and beat the same pit team in the same building.
• 18:41
Speaker 3: By more, I didn't even hear anyone mention it last night.
• 18:43
Speaker 3: It's almost like it didn't even happen. So I'm not
• 18:46
Speaker 3: saying that should be.
• 18:47
Speaker 2: I mean, you know, Miami has the day that they
• 18:49
Speaker 2: were up, Like it's like I want to say, they
• 18:51
Speaker 2: were up and they're still throwing the ball deep in
• 18:53
Speaker 2: the did you watch Notre Names trying to get this
• 18:56
Speaker 2: point at this point in the season, you need to
• 18:58
Speaker 2: make that not Miami, I like sitting where they're sitting at.
• 19:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, Notre Dame did the same thing against Stanford. They should.
• 19:04
Speaker 3: You got to run it up. It's not disrespectful to
• 19:06
Speaker 3: the game. It's respecting the system or acknowledging the system.
• 19:10
Speaker 2: I just think it would be bizarre again being ranked eight.
• 19:13
Speaker 2: It would the way that they've mopped everybody throughout the
• 19:16
Speaker 2: rest of the year, since these rankings come out weekly,
• 19:18
Speaker 2: that they've just crept out and now they're out of
• 19:21
  Speaker 2: the college world.
• 19:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, to be inexcusable to try and explain it, because
• 19:24
Speaker 3: there will be no explanation. And your sin was you
• 19:27
Speaker 3: probably had Miami too low to begin with, Like bumping
• 19:30
Speaker 3: them down to fifteen would be okay because you could
• 19:32
Speaker 3: still make the argument if Notre Dame's eight in Miami's
• 19:34
Speaker 3: fifteen on that Tuesday night, you could say, the head
• 19:37
Speaker 3: to head doesn't matter yet because they're not close enough.
• 19:39
Speaker 3: They're not in the same comparative pool. We haven't had
• 19:41
Speaker 3: a chance to apply the head to head. And then
• 19:43
Speaker 3: when Miami creeps up closer finally, like the light clicks
• 19:46
Speaker 3: on and you're in the same comparative pool and the
• 19:49
Speaker 3: head to head matters, And that's when Miami jumps Notre Dame.
• 19:51
Speaker 3: They didn't do that, So if my theory is correct,
• 19:54
Speaker 3: they're gonna have to do it after both of their
• 19:57
Speaker 3: seasons have already been completed for over a week. And
• 20:00
Speaker 3: then imagine trying to explain.
• 20:01
Speaker 2: That no and too, It's like across the college FOOTBA landscape, fans, players, coaches, everybody,
• 20:08
Speaker 2: when is the best time to lose early in the year,
• 20:11
Speaker 2: And Notre Dame they get collectively four points to a
• 20:14
Speaker 2: good A and M team, a good Miami team, and
• 20:17
Speaker 2: they've done nothing but take care of business since then,
• 20:19
Speaker 2: Whereas like, I'm rooting for Miami, but you lose those
• 20:22
Speaker 2: two games in the ACC, bro, and then I'm wanting
• 20:24
Speaker 2: to watch both teams Like in the college fall Playoff,
• 20:27
Speaker 2: I want to believe in the talent and crystal Ball, which,
• 20:29
Speaker 2: by the way, you know pay T had Chris Ball
• 20:31
Speaker 2: like he's tight in, he's tied in with he's got.
• 20:34
Speaker 1: The numbers, he's the numbers you need to have to
• 20:35
Speaker 1: be tied into the.
• 20:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't see a photo with Freeman post game
• 20:38
Speaker 2: to where they're kind of talking shopping. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
• 20:43
Speaker 2: But it's like I just think it Coach Freeman, like
• 20:45
Speaker 2: it's like Carson Beck, Carlson Beck like him in the
• 20:49
Speaker 2: big moment on the big stage, do we really think
• 20:51
Speaker 2: Miami is going to do some damage based on what
• 20:54
  Speaker 2: we've seen, based.
• 20:55
Speaker 1: On his season in the biggest moment, in the biggest stage.
• 20:58
Speaker 1: He actually did answer that question. It's when the they
• 21:01
Speaker 1: went behind the closed door and they had to play
• 21:03
Speaker 1: the shitty acc schedule. They're like a couple of times
• 21:06
  Speaker 1: because the.
• 21:08
Speaker 2: Was Notre Dame in the beginning of the year and
• 21:10
Speaker 2: never had the questions of Carson Beck was it Carson
• 21:12
  Speaker 2: Beck problem?
• 21:13
Speaker 1: And was George of the problem? Carson Beck and Carson
• 21:15
Speaker 1: Beck came out there and lit up Notre Dame.
• 21:17
Speaker 3: He became the favorite for a little while.
• 21:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, and then there's a defensive on CJ. Carr picks
• 21:22
  Speaker 1: against Louisville.
• 21:23
Speaker 3: Well, hey, so you want to play the.
• 21:24
Speaker 1: Game, I'm saying, that's that will, that's in a different room.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: That's that's the the lights are off.
• 21:29
  Speaker 3: That's like that's practice field, right, that's.
• 21:32
Speaker 1: We're talking about. The lights are on. It is week zero,
• 21:35
Speaker 1: Week one, and we're all so excited. Look at this matchup.
• 21:38
Speaker 1: We have this resurgence of a rivalry between Miami and
• 21:41
Speaker 1: Notre Dame and these two guys coming out of it
• 21:43
Speaker 1: a freshman and Carson Beck who's trying to resurrect his
• 21:45
Speaker 1: career out like last year was a heisman. I think
• 21:48
Speaker 1: he was a front runner last year. Right, he comes
• 21:50
Speaker 1: into Miami and dices under their name wall everybody's watching,
• 21:54
Speaker 1: and then nobody's watching and he funks up. It's like,
• 21:57
Speaker 1: does that really matter that much? So you put him
• 21:59
Speaker 1: back the big stage and we've already had them on
• 22:02
Speaker 1: the big stage. Is you're not just gonna do it again?
• 22:04
Speaker 1: Because I'm willing to say, I think if we sat here,
• 22:07
Speaker 1: we went to Notre Dame Miami, if Notre Dame can
• 22:09
Speaker 1: or Miami can find their way to get up in
• 22:11
Speaker 1: a game, those those defensive ends, eight that offensive line
• 22:14
Speaker 1: and get again, because that's not just may the offensive
• 22:17
Speaker 1: line's gotten better. Look how much better that Look at
• 22:19
Speaker 1: the talent they've played against. Yeah, and then it's like
• 22:22
Speaker 1: you're going to sleep. If you're the left tackle and
• 22:24
Speaker 1: right tackle and you're dreaming about those guys, you're like,
• 22:26
Speaker 1: oh shit, I gotta see them again. I thought they
• 22:28
  Speaker 1: were a thing of the past. I thought I didn't
• 22:29
Speaker 1: have to touch them again. Now all of a sudden
• 22:30
Speaker 1: you're going to see them on a neutral field where
• 22:32
Speaker 1: the same shit is going to happen.
• 22:34
Speaker 3: Can I also say one thing, all right, the Louisville
• 22:36
Speaker 3: SMU losses, I don't have to try and defend that
• 22:39
Speaker 3: to make Miami's case, Like, I think I can bake
• 22:41
Speaker 3: those losses into the pie and still make the pie
• 22:44
Speaker 3: presentable enough. People talk about all unranked losses like they're
• 22:48
Speaker 3: the same thing. Like you could lose to Akron who's
• 22:51
Speaker 3: number one thirty, or lose to Louisville who's number twenty eight.
• 22:54
Speaker 3: People just talk about them like they're the same losses.
• 22:56
Speaker 3: They're not the same losses. Like Louisville and SMU are
• 22:59
Speaker 3: not elite teams. They're not terrible teams. They're just okay teams.
• 23:04
Speaker 3: So when you lose to them, yeah, like it ought
• 23:08
Speaker 3: to have the impact on your resume, that losing to
• 23:10
Speaker 3: an okay team would have both of them. It's not
• 23:13
Speaker 3: we lost to like ungodly terrible teams. We were four
• 23:16
Speaker 3: touchdown favorites or anything like that. And the other thing
• 23:18
Speaker 3: is what I'm about to say, I don't believe should matter,
• 23:21
Speaker 3: but the committee uses it all the time. So I
• 23:23
Speaker 3: could weaponize their logic against them. You want to start
• 23:25
Speaker 3: talking about specific injuries and what teams were at one point. Well,
• 23:29
Speaker 3: Isaac Brown, who's the best player in Louisville's team tailbag,
• 23:32
Speaker 3: was still healthy when they played Miami. Then he got
• 23:34
Speaker 3: hurt and they fell off down the stretch, which makes
• 23:37
Speaker 3: their record look worse. They're ranked when Miami played them,
• 23:40
Speaker 3: and they were probably a ranked caliber team when Miami
• 23:42
Speaker 3: played them. Again, I don't believe in this logic. I'm
• 23:44
Speaker 3: just saying, since the committee disingenuously uses this kind of logic,
• 23:49
Speaker 3: I feel free to use it.
• 23:50
Speaker 1: So you're saying that the committee used the logic of
• 23:52
Speaker 1: when these teams played they were ranked there for.
• 23:54
Speaker 3: Here's what the committee does. The Committee does not actually
• 23:57
Speaker 3: decide the rankings. A computer does. The Committee then slaps
• 23:59
Speaker 3: their name on it, and they go on TV and
• 24:02
Speaker 3: like reverse engineer logic to excuse away or explain rankings
• 24:06
Speaker 3: that they themselves are not responsible for. And the reason
• 24:09
Speaker 3: I know that to be true is because we're in
• 24:11
Speaker 3: coaching season right now, so we're in coaching search mode,
• 24:14
Speaker 3: and Florida and Auburn and LSU and Ole Miss Penn
• 24:18
Speaker 3: State like they've all been wrapped up in this stuff.
• 24:20
Speaker 3: You can go on Twitter every ten minutes and hit
• 24:22
Speaker 3: refresh and get new leaked information about coaching searches right best,
• 24:27
Speaker 3: and you just sit there and wonder, like, wow, so
• 24:30
Speaker 3: much of this information comes out, and these athletic directors
• 24:33
Speaker 3: they're involved in that process and all the information leaks.
• 24:36
Speaker 3: Yet you're putting athletic directors in a room to decide
• 24:39
Speaker 3: the rankings, and no information about the process ever leaks.
• 24:43
Speaker 3: Do you ever wonder how that's strange, How information from
• 24:47
Speaker 3: something that should be way more highly classified does leak,
• 24:50
Speaker 3: like a coaching search. But when it comes to twelve
• 24:52
Speaker 3: or thirteen of you in a room where you're allegedly hot,
• 24:56
Speaker 3: like hot heavenly debating the rankings. Dude, on TV last night,
• 24:59
Speaker 3: Sai Manda, the notre name Alabama debate.
• 25:02
Speaker 2: Was intense, so fourth down, Oh dude, it.
• 25:04
Speaker 3: Was so intense. Why don't those details ever come out?
• 25:07
Speaker 3: No details ever come out? It's cause they're lying to
• 25:10
Speaker 3: you and a computer spits that stuff out and then
• 25:13
Speaker 3: they just kind of slapped their name on the side
• 25:15
Speaker 3: of it, and then they have to go on TV
• 25:16
Speaker 3: and try and explain the rankings process. But they didn't
• 25:19
Speaker 3: really take part in it. That's how you get this garbage. Like, well,
• 25:22
Speaker 3: you know, Alabama, they were up seventeen to nothing at
• 25:24
Speaker 3: one point versus Auburn. Yeah, but they were also tied
• 25:27
Speaker 3: at one point versus Auburn later in the game. Yeah,
• 25:30
Speaker 3: they ran the ball Okay. Plus it's a rivalry game. Boy,
• 25:32
Speaker 3: that coordinator really made a ballsy call on fourth down.
• 25:35
Speaker 3: These are not data points. This is just minutia. This
• 25:38
Speaker 3: is stuff you say. It's like when your mom just
• 25:41
Speaker 3: was too tired to take you to the park when
• 25:43
Speaker 3: you were growing up, and she said, mommy's got a
• 25:46
Speaker 3: lot of stuff to do tonight. She didn't have anything
• 25:48
Speaker 3: to do, She just didn't want to take you to
• 25:50
Speaker 3: the park. She could have just told you, we're not
• 25:51
Speaker 3: going to the park because I don't feel like it.
• 25:53
Speaker 3: The committee could just say these are the rankings. Calls
• 25:55
Speaker 3: we say these are the rankings, But instead it's so
• 25:58
Speaker 3: much stuff that doesn't matter or that shouldn't matter. It's
• 26:01
Speaker 3: so incongruent. Logically, you could take whatever he said last
• 26:04
Speaker 3: night about Alabama, and I could twist that frame of
• 26:07
Speaker 3: logic to excuse away anything. I could put Texas at
• 26:10
Speaker 3: number seven somehow Someway using the Bent logic that Hunter
• 26:14
Speaker 3: your a check in, not just him, but like all
• 26:16
Speaker 3: of the committee chairs have used in the past. So
• 26:19
Speaker 3: to say I have a little bit of an issue
• 26:21
Speaker 3: with the process would be accurate.
• 26:23
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 26:23
Speaker 2: I think if Miami gets in, just the more of
• 26:25
Speaker 2: a case where the power of the future college football
• 26:27
Speaker 2: commissioner would be alive and well, Miami all of a
• 26:30
Speaker 2: sudden gets in. He after he releases his clip and
• 26:33
Speaker 2: stance on Miami getting in over Notre Dame.
• 26:35
Speaker 3: Hey, I'm not a Notre Dame should join a conference guy.
• 26:37
Speaker 3: I don't care what they do. I'd find with them
• 26:39
Speaker 3: either way. However, this is one of the first times
• 26:43
Speaker 3: they may have to pay a price for not being
• 26:45
Speaker 3: in a conference. If they were in a conference title
• 26:46
Speaker 3: game Saturday, we're probably in. Yeah, because I think I
• 26:50
Speaker 3: think Alabama's in regardless because they're playing in a conference
• 26:53
Speaker 3: title game. Notre Dame would probably be in regardless. Miami
• 26:56
Speaker 3: would probably have to sit at home because you'd be
• 26:58
Speaker 3: sitting here talking about Notre Dame earning the right to
• 27:01
Speaker 3: play in the game. You get that extra data point
• 27:03
Speaker 3: like win a conference and you're in, of course, But
• 27:05
Speaker 3: I think even losing a conference title game, especially a
• 27:08
Speaker 3: big one like the Big Ten or the SEC, that
• 27:11
Speaker 3: earns you a little bit of a bump in the
• 27:12
  Speaker 3: committee's mind.
• 27:13
Speaker 1: Yeah. I think last year when the or whenever the
• 27:16
Speaker 1: twelve team playoff came out, it was like, hey, this
• 27:18
Speaker 1: five and six slot, that's kind of Notre Dames forever, right,
• 27:21
Speaker 1: because they get to live in this independent world. But
• 27:23
Speaker 1: one thing you brought up with the committee and using
• 27:26
Speaker 1: old games when teams were ranked, so like a team
• 27:29
Speaker 1: played a team that was ranked at that time, now
• 27:30
Speaker 1: they're no longer ranking. That's a reason why this team
• 27:32
Speaker 1: should be bumped up higher. If that is logic that
• 27:35
Speaker 1: the committee is using, why isn't Vanderbilt in then because.
• 27:38
Speaker 3: They don't apply it evenly?
• 27:40
Speaker 1: But that yeah, because the logic that the committe would
• 27:42
Speaker 1: have just said, then Vanderbilt has four top twenty five
• 27:45
Speaker 1: wins in one top ten.
• 27:46
Speaker 3: Yep, and they're ten and two selectively apply it.
• 27:49
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 27:50
Speaker 1: And so I'm looking at the thing last night and
• 27:51
Speaker 1: I understand the Miami Notre Dame argument that's not near
• 27:54
Speaker 1: as interesting to me is like, why is Vanderbilt sitting
• 27:57
Speaker 1: behind Texas? And everybody's answer is, well, Texas beat Vanderbilt,
• 28:00
Speaker 1: but Texas is nine to three, Vanderbilt is ten and
• 28:04
Speaker 1: two in a conference that you've said is the most
• 28:06
Speaker 1: stacked middle pack conference of all time or at this point.
• 28:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, I do think the SEC has a great step.
• 28:12
Speaker 1: They have the most depth they've gone through the SEC.
• 28:15
Speaker 1: They've won the SC. They beat Missouri when Missouri's rinking
• 28:17
Speaker 1: college game Day was there. They beat South Carolina when
• 28:20
Speaker 1: they were eleventh in the entire country at that time.
• 28:22
Speaker 1: It was going off of the skill players they had
• 28:24
Speaker 1: coming back and the run they had last year, and
• 28:26
Speaker 1: so at that point, I think we all viewed South
• 28:28
Speaker 1: Carolina as a possible contender in the SEC. So why
• 28:31
Speaker 1: is Vanderbilt being hurt and put at fourteen when I
• 28:34
Speaker 1: think they should be in? And I think it's not
• 28:36
Speaker 1: in so much of the Miami and Notre Dame argument.
• 28:40
Speaker 1: It's more of like, that's where this G five thing,
• 28:43
Speaker 1: I keep coming back to it, and I'm like, these guys, Yeah,
• 28:47
  Speaker 1: I'd love.
• 28:47
Speaker 2: To see all these teams just being a playoff so
• 28:49
Speaker 2: you can watch them.
• 28:49
Speaker 1: Play Vanderbilt against the Tulane of the North Texas or
• 28:53
Speaker 1: all these other G five teams. It's like.
• 28:57
Speaker 3: Just put Vandy in their leagues. Yeah, you know, you
• 28:59
Speaker 3: have to have them, had to for all that, for
• 29:00
Speaker 3: all I care. Put Vandy in the ACC. Like Vandy's
• 29:03
Speaker 3: running the ACC right now in their top four lock.
• 29:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, topayer, they're undefeated eleven one.
• 29:08
Speaker 3: Well, probably do the same thing in the Big twelve,
• 29:10
Speaker 3: to be honest, this year, probably it's them in Texas
• 29:13
Speaker 3: Tech in the Big twelve by a fairly good margin.
• 29:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean yeah, Texas Tech to me is just
• 29:19
Speaker 1: there's Texas Tech and then there's the rest of the
• 29:21
Speaker 1: Big Gap and everybody else.
• 29:22
Speaker 2: The hard part is when you're sitting there arguing like
• 29:24
Speaker 2: Texas Vandy. Texas did beat Vandy. Vandy was coming back,
• 29:28
Speaker 2: but that could have easily been a blowout by Texas.
• 29:31
Speaker 2: They also lost to the logic.
• 29:33
Speaker 1: Of it could have been a blowout, Like we're not
• 29:35
Speaker 1: We're sitting there and Texas goes as to this big lead.
• 29:38
Speaker 1: Everyone's like, Vandy cannot come from behind. They're not built
• 29:41
Speaker 1: that way. The first quarter, there's tweets going out saying
• 29:44
Speaker 1: this game is over. That was fun, It was cool
• 29:46
Speaker 1: to it was exciting to talk about Vandy for a
• 29:48
Speaker 1: little bit. Vandy comes back and at one point we're
• 29:50
Speaker 1: sitting there watching on side kick for them to kind
• 29:53
Speaker 1: of recover. But Yo, they might actually fucking do this.
• 29:55
Speaker 3: Judge the football game for the four quarters that it is, right.
• 29:58
Speaker 1: Texas is the entire game. Can't just say, hey, they
• 30:01
Speaker 1: went out to this massively and it wasn't Alabama seventeen.
• 30:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's how dumb it is to say, well, they
• 30:05
Speaker 3: were up seventeen. Texas did the.
• 30:07
Speaker 2: Same thing against Misissippi State coming back from the right.
• 30:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, and in Texas the wire with Kentucky and Mississippi State,
• 30:12
  Speaker 1: Like you're saying, it's like, well, if that's a factor,
• 30:15
Speaker 1: then we should put that in.
• 30:15
Speaker 2: Also, if with the depths of the depth of the
• 30:18
Speaker 2: SEC conference, because I do think it is the deepest
• 30:21
Speaker 2: conference this year. Now, at the end of the year,
• 30:23
Speaker 2: you look at Vanderbilt's resume, they beat one one top
• 30:27
Speaker 2: half SEC team, only one team in the top eight
• 30:30
Speaker 2: and it was missoo was dollars, a third string quarterback,
• 30:34
Speaker 2: everybody else. When they had their shot against Obama and
• 30:37
Speaker 2: Texas they lost. So if you're sitting there looking at
• 30:40
Speaker 2: all the SEC teams, because how many how many are
• 30:42
Speaker 2: in there right now?
• 30:43
Speaker 1: Four Alabama for Georgia, Oklahoma. Yeah four four, But yeah,
• 30:51
Speaker 1: so you got four teams in there.
• 30:52
Speaker 5: Couldn't that same logic be said about A and M.
• 30:55
  Speaker 1: Yeah, bute loss.
• 30:57
Speaker 2: So when we're sitting there picking the game last week
• 30:59
Speaker 2: and you're looking at who A and M's face that
• 31:02
Speaker 2: all their wins have been against bottom half teams are
• 31:03
Speaker 2: finally playing a top half team in the SEC. But
• 31:06
Speaker 2: A and M was undefeated. Now it's like, you have
• 31:08
Speaker 2: the entire resume at Vanderbilt and if you're putting it
• 31:10
Speaker 2: against Miami, Notre Dame and then Texas. In the conversation,
• 31:14
Speaker 2: if you just look at Vanderbilt as a whole, as
• 31:15
Speaker 2: a ten and two team, because I think it sucks
• 31:17
Speaker 2: a ten and two SEC team is going to be
• 31:19
Speaker 2: on the outside. They're gonna get screwed. They're not going
• 31:21
Speaker 2: to get in the College Wall playoff. But if you
• 31:23
Speaker 2: do look at their resume as a whole, they've beat
• 31:24
Speaker 2: one top half SEC team and it was Missouri and
• 31:27
Speaker 2: it was zalars as a third string.
• 31:28
Speaker 3: See, you're never gonna You're never gonna sell me on
• 31:30
Speaker 3: the fact that going to Niland Stadium and beating Tennessee
• 31:33
Speaker 3: last week is not a top half sec win. That
• 31:36
  Speaker 3: is a that's a big time Tennessee.
• 31:38
Speaker 1: They ended up on the bottle. That's just Will and
• 31:40
Speaker 1: I are arguing the same points a different way. The
• 31:42
Speaker 1: similar to you were saying you could you can misconstrue everything.
• 31:45
Speaker 1: The guy said to put Texas at seven. You're saying,
• 31:49
Speaker 1: look at their look at their wins. They only had
• 31:51
Speaker 1: one top twenty five win and it was Missouri bah
• 31:53
Speaker 1: bah blah, or one top ten win.
• 31:55
Speaker 2: Not not yet, yeah, but if not.
• 31:57
Speaker 1: Like one time, I'm looking at the schedule of where
• 31:59
Speaker 1: do we sit in Week one where we had South Carolina, Missouri,
• 32:03
Speaker 1: all these other teams were sitting in top fifteen or above,
• 32:06
Speaker 1: top twenty and above, and they played those teams when
• 32:09
Speaker 1: they were ranked in that position because at the time
• 32:11
Speaker 1: the whole world have viewed them as that way. I
• 32:14
Speaker 1: personally think there needs to be more weight put on that.
• 32:16
Speaker 1: Like you look at a South Carolina win. Now, no
• 32:19
Speaker 1: disrespect JP, but it doesn't hold a whole lot of
• 32:21
Speaker 1: weight back then when it played. When they played, it
• 32:25
Speaker 1: was a massive business. Eleven South Carolina versus Vana Belt
• 32:28
Speaker 1: their first true test. Are they really going to get
• 32:31
Speaker 1: it done? Are they were really contenders?
• 32:32
  Speaker 2: In the SEC.
• 32:33
Speaker 1: They won that game and was like, holy shit, Vanderbilt. Man,
• 32:35
Speaker 1: look at them. Now, South Carolina had the things that
• 32:38
Speaker 1: happened to them, injuries happened throughout the season and running
• 32:40
Speaker 1: back from Louisville. But I look at how did everything start?
• 32:44
Speaker 1: How did everybody kind of view these teams from a
• 32:46
Speaker 1: top twenty five standpoint? And when they played? When they played,
• 32:49
Speaker 1: did they have a number next to their name?
• 32:50
Speaker 3: If they did, that counts for something extremely holistically. I've
• 32:54
Speaker 3: always been a huge proponent of what you're saying, of
• 32:56
Speaker 3: defining the value of a game and a win or
• 32:58
Speaker 3: loss at the time.
• 32:59
Speaker 1: It happened, because if injury go ahead.
• 33:01
Speaker 3: But also, how can I how do I not know
• 33:04
Speaker 3: that the Vandy result started the precipitous decline of South
• 33:09
Speaker 3: Carolina season? Like I can't prove that, but you can't
• 33:11
Speaker 3: prove it didn't happen. Yeah, So I may be like
• 33:13
Speaker 3: I'm being punished my strength the schedule could be getting
• 33:16
Speaker 3: punished because I beat teams just like Oregon. Oregon goes
• 33:19
Speaker 3: and beats Penn State. Penn State falls off a cliff. Well,
• 33:21
Speaker 3: Penn State's not falling off a cliff. If the organ
• 33:23
  Speaker 3: laws doesn't.
• 33:24
Speaker 1: They're still a top twenty five roster.
• 33:25
Speaker 3: Yes, it's evidenced of how they played against Indiana, but
• 33:29
Speaker 3: Oregan's getting punished because of what they did to Penn State. So,
• 33:33
Speaker 3: like with exceptions, I'm always going to say there are
• 33:35
Speaker 3: exceptions to this rule with a few exceptions. I've always
• 33:38
Speaker 3: been a fan of defining that. And that does mean
• 33:40
Speaker 3: that you may play South Carolina in Week four and
• 33:43
Speaker 3: I may play them in Week eleven and we both
• 33:45
Speaker 3: beat them by the same score, but you get more
• 33:46
Speaker 3: credit for it than I do. That may mean that.
• 33:49
Speaker 1: I think that's okay. It could mean that right, because
• 33:51
Speaker 1: things happen, things take place. That's what makes football so amazing.
• 33:54
Speaker 1: The thing that starts in week one is never the
• 33:56
Speaker 1: same in a week fourteen. That's what makes it awesome.
• 34:00
Speaker 3: I think we solved everything.
• 34:01
Speaker 1: I think we saw ship. We're just circles ty service.
• 34:05
Speaker 1: I know we don't get to this game the last yek.
• 34:06
Speaker 2: It's gonna be nuts. We get the two G five
• 34:08
Speaker 2: scenario in I kind.
• 34:10
Speaker 1: Of hope it happened.
• 34:10
Speaker 3: A couple of seventeen plus point mad.
• 34:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, at the end of the day, we're just gonna
• 34:15
Speaker 2: be mad. We're just angry that these that these teams
• 34:18
Speaker 2: were arguing about, arguing for like just handle your business right, yes,
• 34:21
Speaker 2: when you're expected to handle your business.
• 34:22
Speaker 1: Because if this happens, we have the G five teams
• 34:25
Speaker 1: in and the option for us to fly even with
• 34:28
Speaker 1: Josh and go to Oregon versus some G five team
• 34:32
Speaker 1: just to watch Orgon mop them. I'm gonna be sitting
• 34:35
Speaker 1: in our room being like, guys, we gotta go to
• 34:36
Speaker 1: Oregon to watch this blood bath. Did what they land
• 34:39
Speaker 1: and have a little good.
• 34:40
Speaker 3: Time and just sip some wine probably in the second half.
• 34:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, probably leave, yeah at halftime. But that was great,
• 34:46
  Speaker 1: great playoff game.
• 34:47
Speaker 3: You're really trending right now towards having two first round games. Really,
• 34:50
Speaker 3: if you think about it, Yeah, look at all the
• 34:52
Speaker 3: projections you've got to You got like Notre Dame, Texas
• 34:55
  Speaker 3: A and M. You've got Oklahoma Obama, and then you've
• 34:57
Speaker 3: got two games where the spread will be close to
• 34:59
Speaker 3: three touches ounce, which is insane.
• 35:01
Speaker 1: Yeah, State from last year teams at home last years
• 35:06
Speaker 1: before we getting his board and then we'll go quickly.
• 35:07
Speaker 1: But Penn State coaching search, are we still am I
• 35:11
Speaker 1: still winning on a call?
• 35:12
Speaker 2: But hey, in Congress to b YU, I know we're
• 35:15
Speaker 2: keeping their boy there. Yeah sure, I mean that's big
• 35:18
Speaker 2: for by keeping their guys. Just from my understanding of
• 35:21
Speaker 2: the timeline and everything else, shot out Liam Blumtman. I
• 35:24
Speaker 2: was following him very closely. Yeah, dude, he seemed like
• 35:27
Speaker 2: a little bit. It seemed like it was right there.
• 35:30
Speaker 2: They were at the goal line with getting him to
• 35:32
Speaker 2: Penn State, and then b YU gets their boy. They
• 35:35
Speaker 2: pushed the team meeting. They're all at his house, they're
• 35:37
Speaker 2: all talking into it. Money's coming elsewhere from these companies.
• 35:40
  Speaker 2: What is it?
• 35:40
Speaker 3: Crumble Yes, Crumble Cookies, Crumble Cookies, Trumble Cookies, Crumble for
• 35:45
Speaker 3: b YU like big dogs.
• 35:46
Speaker 2: Coming in the room with the blessing of the church,
• 35:48
Speaker 2: coming in the room, throwing.
• 35:49
Speaker 3: Out massive contracts, throws up with the blessing, with the
• 35:53
Speaker 3: blessing of the He went, Crumble Cookies went more American
• 35:55
Speaker 3: Prime Evil on Penn State, yea than American Prime Evil itself.
• 36:02
Speaker 1: If you watch American Prime Evil and then you look
• 36:03
Speaker 1: at Crumble Cookies, you're gonna be like, that's not.
• 36:05
Speaker 3: The modern day version.
• 36:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, they're scalped. They scalped Penn State.
• 36:10
Speaker 3: Spoiler alert, but yeah.
• 36:11
  Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 36:11
Speaker 2: Do you have any clue what's going on with Penn State?
• 36:13
  Speaker 3: They don't. How could I they don't. I've spoken my
• 36:16
Speaker 3: piece on Matt Campbell. Apparently they're not targeting him, but
• 36:19
Speaker 3: then again, they don't know who they are targeting.
• 36:21
Speaker 2: So it was Brian Harline at one point in time,
• 36:22
  Speaker 2: but which UCF.
• 36:27
Speaker 3: Now it's a real dereliction of duty I think by
• 36:29
Speaker 3: the athletic director up there. I don't know if he's
• 36:31
Speaker 3: gonna have his job much longer. And you guys have
• 36:32
Speaker 3: never heard me call for someone's job, because I don't
• 36:34
Speaker 3: really do that. But I don't know how like, this
• 36:37
Speaker 3: is a really it's not an elite job. It's not Michigan,
• 36:39
Speaker 3: it's not Ohio State, it's not Oregon. But dude, this
• 36:42
Speaker 3: is still the Penn State job. You can't convince me
• 36:45
Speaker 3: that this thing's been turned down this much just because
• 36:47
Speaker 3: the job's not good. It's because of who's running the
• 36:50
Speaker 3: coaching search. And if you can't run a successful football
• 36:52
Speaker 3: coaching search, Number one, you don't deserve your job as
• 36:55
Speaker 3: an ad. Number two, don't fire your playoff caliber coach
• 36:59
Speaker 3: before you have a pretty good idea of who you
• 37:00
Speaker 3: could go get to replace him. So to answer your question, yeah,
• 37:04
Speaker 3: keep your phone close, the call could come. You've got
• 37:07
Speaker 3: experience in the big ten. I do you know what?
• 37:09
Speaker 1: I would you know several of them immediately and know
• 37:12
Speaker 1: why ill being Knitney aligned to my boy Mitch.
• 37:15
  Speaker 3: No, you're out.
• 37:16
Speaker 1: I'm out no amount of money.
• 37:17
Speaker 3: And then that story hasn't been told publicly.
• 37:19
Speaker 1: Yep, I have the Penn State job.
• 37:22
Speaker 5: I haven't heard anything from my sources of what's going
• 37:24
Speaker 5: on or if my source even has a job anymore.
• 37:27
Speaker 1: Low though, Mitch, fuck your source, right? Hey?
• 37:31
Speaker 2: Is everything good up north?
• 37:39
Speaker 1: I really don't know. At this point, me saying anything
• 37:42
Speaker 1: would just be feeding into Twitter sphere. There's allegations, there's allegedlies,
• 37:46
Speaker 1: a lot of allegedlies being thrown around in the Michigan world.
• 37:49
Speaker 1: Right now, it's more exciting to look at and just
• 37:52
Speaker 1: if you just separate, If I separate myself from being
• 37:55
Speaker 1: an alumni someone that played there, and I can just
• 37:58
Speaker 1: sit back and kind of wash the chaos and the
• 38:00
Speaker 1: shoes that you kind of do, that's where I find
• 38:02
Speaker 1: more enjoyment. If I go, I'm like, this does not

• 38:31
Speaker 2: Form Energy guy. Form Energy, we do the work. Back
• 38:34
Speaker 2: to this episode, we'll see what happens, Shollie. Yeah, let's
• 38:37
Speaker 2: let's dive in. Let's dive in North Texas TU Lane
• 38:40
Speaker 2: Big time matchup winners going to the college football play
• 38:43
Speaker 2: oh two lane underdogs, North Texas favored by two and
• 38:47
Speaker 2: a half. The over under on this game sixty six
• 38:50
Speaker 2: and a half points.
• 38:52
Speaker 3: Both coaches are gone. Both coaches are gone, by the way,
• 38:55
Speaker 3: I mean they're leaving. They're coaching the game. Both coaches
• 38:58
Speaker 3: have taken new jobs.
• 39:00
Speaker 2: But who's bought in more.
• 39:04
Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. When I went after the G
• 39:06
Speaker 1: five thing. I had two text messages about it from
• 39:10
Speaker 1: people that went to G five schools. Cody January and
• 39:12
Speaker 1: Sean January both went to high school with them. They
• 39:14
Speaker 1: went to North Texas Januaries January the January brothers. By
• 39:17
Speaker 1: the way, Sean January. Back in the day, that two
• 39:19
Speaker 1: thousand and six state championship team from Catch Shadows over
• 39:21
Speaker 1: one hundred tackles, middle linebacker, just a salty white boy,
• 39:25
Speaker 1: paper bones though, could never stay healthy anyway. They text
• 39:29
Speaker 1: me and they're like, how could you come at our
• 39:30
Speaker 1: team like da? And I said, hey, brother, this is
• 39:32
Speaker 1: just the reality. So for that reason, I'll be taking
• 39:35
Speaker 1: North Texas. It just seems like they got more heart,
• 39:37
Speaker 1: I got more hate from them all. Take them because,
• 39:40
Speaker 1: to be honest, I don't give a shit about this game.
• 39:43
Speaker 1: I will not turn this game. One I will. I
• 39:50
Speaker 1: probably won't even type in my Safari bar North Texas
• 39:55
Speaker 1: first two lane to see the score pop up. I'll
• 39:57
Speaker 1: find out on the show next week. You can find
• 39:59
Speaker 1: out the the show on Sunday. When I see selection
• 40:02
Speaker 1: Sunday and one, I'll like, oh.
• 40:03
Speaker 3: Shit, oh they won.
• 40:04
  Speaker 1: North Texas won?
• 40:05
Speaker 2: Oh too, lame one.
• 40:06
Speaker 1: That's that is how my life in this game is
• 40:09
Speaker 1: going to go sixty six. Take the over? Yeah, fucking
• 40:13
Speaker 1: do you don't take the over? These guys have bad defenses.
• 40:16
Speaker 3: The strategy, that's the strategy.
• 40:18
Speaker 1: Six and a half. Yeah, I'll take the winners.
• 40:22
Speaker 2: Winners over here, take the over, give me the over.
• 40:25
Speaker 1: And that's the kind of stuff you're hetting on the show,
• 40:27
Speaker 1: the hard hitting facts the way. I don't fucking care
• 40:29
Speaker 1: about this game at all, so.
• 40:31
Speaker 2: It doesn't leave us. I know, uh, I know Klump
• 40:35
Speaker 2: was excited about this when he posted the games. He's like,
• 40:38
Speaker 2: we finally get to talk about Drew mess to Maker.
• 40:41
Speaker 2: Drew mess to Maker better those owlers? Yeah, better than Zolar.
• 40:44
Speaker 1: You know, you know Will didn't care too much. He's
• 40:46
Speaker 1: looking at his phone about it.
• 40:47
  Speaker 2: Thirty yards.
• 40:50
Speaker 5: Receptions, never started a game at quarterback in high school.
• 40:55
Speaker 3: Just oh yeah, yeah, I remember that, dude.
• 40:57
Speaker 4: He was not a starting quarterback on his hig school
• 40:59
Speaker 4: football team, and now he is one of And now.
• 41:02
Speaker 2: He's a freshman starting quarterback for North Texas.
• 41:06
  Speaker 5: He's a red shirt freshman.
• 41:08
  Speaker 2: Yes, that's amazing.
• 41:10
Speaker 3: I think he played the game last year. I think
• 41:12
Speaker 3: is how that worked? Because Cuba five baby, Yeah, I
• 41:17
  Speaker 3: remember this.
• 41:18
Speaker 1: G five baby, anything I saw from and I so Drew.
• 41:25
Speaker 2: Drew Mestamaker didn't play quarterback at all in high school.
• 41:28
Speaker 2: He was a backup. And now he's a starting quarterback
• 41:31
Speaker 2: of red shirt freshman. He's a freshman for North Texas.
• 41:34
  Speaker 2: And so I'm saying, that's G five baby, he's been
• 41:36
Speaker 2: slinging the rock. I'm saying, good for him. That's pretty crazy.
• 41:38
Speaker 2: He didn't play quarterback in high school, didn't quarterback.
• 41:42
Speaker 1: Shows up to North Texas and they're like, hey, redcher
• 41:45
Speaker 1: for you, we don't. This is Chad Powers. We don't
• 41:47
Speaker 1: got a quarterback. We need a guy. And he's just
• 41:50
Speaker 1: like I can throw it a little bit like you.
• 41:54
Speaker 1: He is Chad Powers. This guy is Chad Powers.
• 41:57
Speaker 5: Means I could have played quarterback at a powerfil or
• 42:00
Speaker 5: a group of five school.
• 42:01
Speaker 1: You know your problem, mis Mitch. You matured too late.
• 42:05
Speaker 3: Wow, I feel it.
• 42:06
Speaker 1: No, No, And that's not even like if you missed
• 42:08
Speaker 1: your money if you were you now at like seventeen eighteen. Buddy,
• 42:13
  Speaker 1: you're G five. Yeah, you're G five, and you're mad
• 42:16
Speaker 1: at me watching the long room like this motherfucker don't
• 42:17
Speaker 1: respect us. And you're right, Yeah, you're right in destigative,
• 42:21
Speaker 1: imaginative thought process. You are correct.
• 42:24
Speaker 2: Give me the over. Give me the over. I won't
• 42:29
Speaker 2: go to Safari to type in the search, broam. Just
• 42:31
Speaker 2: click on the ESPN app and just see what scores
• 42:33
Speaker 2: are for the game.
• 42:34
Speaker 1: And if I even see too little, I'll go on
• 42:37
  Speaker 1: the ESPN.
• 42:39
  Speaker 3: I do.
• 42:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, I have ESPN to Lane Alabama, Georgia.
• 42:47
Speaker 2: Oh shit, especially oh hang on twenty twenty five.
• 42:51
Speaker 1: That's happened so many times to me. Did me and
• 42:55
Speaker 1: technology huh break this one down for us?
• 42:57
Speaker 2: Brother, don't don't break it down.
• 42:59
Speaker 3: I really did pull in there.
• 43:00
Speaker 1: There's spend more time talking about the Penn State coaching sir.
• 43:02
Speaker 3: Yeah, we're good. So this is gonna be really quick.
• 43:04
Speaker 3: Time me twenty seconds. I pulled in this morning and
• 43:06
Speaker 3: thought to myself, both coaches are on the way out.
• 43:08
Speaker 3: I think that disproportionately impects defensive staffs, and therefore I
• 43:12
  Speaker 3: don't think there's a total high enough where I wouldn't
• 43:14
Speaker 3: take the over. And I did not know that you
• 43:16
Speaker 3: guys were going with the over. But I will take
• 43:18
Speaker 3: the over with you. So it's an overtrain. I have
• 43:20
Speaker 3: a live show Friday night in the middle of this game.
• 43:22
Speaker 3: There's zero chance I can watch it either, so I'll
• 43:24
Speaker 3: just get half to you didn't have a lot.
• 43:25
Speaker 2: You would watch it?
• 43:26
Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, twenty.
• 43:28
Speaker 3: One seconds, so that went over. Therefore the total goes over.
• 43:31
  Speaker 3: There we go.
• 43:32
Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. Also speaking of driving into places, thoughts and
• 43:36
Speaker 1: prayers with Kathleen onward.
• 43:39
Speaker 2: Duke Virginia Virginia favorite in this game by three and
• 43:43
Speaker 2: a half points. There's Duke again, just keeping the line
• 43:45
Speaker 2: closed like they have all year long year. The over
• 43:48
Speaker 2: runner on this game fifty seven and a half the
• 43:49
Speaker 2: ac CE Championship whish.
• 43:52
Speaker 1: We've already talked about that Power four power not powerful
• 43:55
Speaker 1: is a power three and they're kind of pottering in
• 43:58
  Speaker 1: the distance.
• 43:59
Speaker 3: Power two and a half. Yeah, yeah, you know this
• 44:01
Speaker 3: game happened. This This game was a blowout already, Like
• 44:05
Speaker 3: a few weeks ago, Virginia played Duke Virginia was Virginia
• 44:09
Speaker 3: lost the turnover battle and still blew them out. The
• 44:12
Speaker 3: fact that this number is what it is blows my mind.
• 44:14
Speaker 3: Then I pull up the model the other day and
• 44:16
Speaker 3: the model has Duke winning the game outright, and I
• 44:20
  Speaker 3: don't I don't get, I don't know, I don't know
• 44:22
Speaker 3: I don't know, but I'm taking Duke to win the game.
• 44:25
Speaker 3: So the acc doomsday scenario not only is it me
• 44:28
Speaker 3: sort of wish casting, the model backs me up on
• 44:31
Speaker 3: this as Duke winning outright? Is it three and a half?
• 44:34
Speaker 2: Yes, ye and a half.
• 44:35
Speaker 3: You know I'm taking money line taking Duke. Give me
• 44:37
Speaker 3: your money line. I'm taking you do plus points, but
• 44:40
Speaker 3: I will take Duke to win the game out right
• 44:42
  Speaker 3: as well.
• 44:42
Speaker 2: I have I'll do money line, give me Duke money
• 44:46
Speaker 2: line on this show.
• 44:48
Speaker 1: I've brought up Duke on two sipar occasions. They were
• 44:51
Speaker 1: favored against Illinois and one other time as my I
• 44:54
Speaker 1: took Illinois is my dog and in Georgia tech. I
• 44:57
Speaker 1: was right both of those times spending against Duke. This
• 44:59
Speaker 1: is my first time betting for Duke. I'm thinking Duke
• 45:01
Speaker 1: plus the points. Hopefully sprinkle that money line though, But
• 45:04
Speaker 1: for the sake of the show and my standings and
• 45:06
Speaker 1: me being scared, I'll just take I'll just take Duke
• 45:10
Speaker 1: plus three and a half. Hey, hard hitting ship on
• 45:14
Speaker 1: those first two games, boys, huh.
• 45:15
Speaker 2: Hard to beat a team twice? Hard to beat a
• 45:17
Speaker 2: team beating team twice.
• 45:18
Speaker 1: Mike Alo Bultra right, superiors worth playing for. We've been
• 45:21
Speaker 1: doing this rock suit thing. It started to be it
• 45:23
Speaker 1: started to be fun. Now it's getting serious. What's the
• 45:25
Speaker 1: record right now, Mitch or clump is it's eighty seven.
• 45:28
Speaker 1: I'm leading eighty seven. So this is an opportunity for
• 45:30
Speaker 1: me to get up to or worth even at. Are
• 45:32
  Speaker 1: you prepared?
• 45:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, rock paper scissor shoot rock paper scissor shoot superiors
• 45:43
Speaker 2: worth playing for? Good game game yep.
• 45:47
Speaker 1: Back to the episode next Game. American Primeval b Yu
• 45:52
Speaker 1: kept their coach versus Texas Tech, who want Josh paid
• 45:55
Speaker 1: to be the Commission of college football. Texas Tech favored
• 46:00
Speaker 1: by a one hundred and twelve according to my sheet.
• 46:02
Speaker 1: Do you guys have the same thing?
• 46:04
Speaker 3: What? Oh, it probably means twelve and a half.
• 46:06
Speaker 1: No, favored by one hundred and twelve according to the sheet.
• 46:11
Speaker 2: So Texas Tech favored by twelve and a half minus
• 46:15
Speaker 2: one twelvefof Yeah, twelve and a half? Why you got
• 46:21
  Speaker 2: the plus one?
• 46:22
  Speaker 3: Got you?
• 46:22
Speaker 1: And then the total points in that game is forty
• 46:24
Speaker 1: nine and a half. American Primeval. It always comes back
• 46:27
Speaker 1: to that this team has been on our show more
• 46:29
Speaker 1: than I think any of us expected.
• 46:30
Speaker 3: We are a BYU show.
• 46:32
Speaker 1: We have become a BYU show. Now I'm not going
• 46:35
Speaker 1: as far as crumble Cookie.
• 46:37
Speaker 3: Yeah, we grossly mischaracterize everything about the program, everything about
• 46:40
Speaker 3: the culture, everything about the church. But you know we
• 46:43
Speaker 3: are Yeah, we are.
• 46:45
Speaker 1: Doing nothing but the blessing of the church. Nasty work
• 46:47
Speaker 1: on that, and I'm going to continue to do it.
• 46:49
Speaker 1: Jordan Guire, that high flying offense, that incredible defense, what
• 46:54
Speaker 1: is that? Rodriguez the linebash Jacob.
• 46:57
Speaker 2: Through pick last week.
• 47:00
Speaker 1: Out of the Heisman race. Yeah, I'm gonna take them.
• 47:02
Speaker 1: I'll take them minus twelve and a half. This is
• 47:05
Speaker 1: gonna be a three touchdown blowout when this is putting.
• 47:09
Speaker 1: This is the before. Like when I was at Michigan
• 47:11
Speaker 1: the first couple of years with Rich Rodriguez. Every Friday
• 47:14
Speaker 1: night we do our team meetings, We have our meal,
• 47:17
Speaker 1: we have clam chadder to have this historic like famous
• 47:20
Speaker 1: claim CHATD that all the players will come back to
• 47:21
Speaker 1: get You can only get it when you're a player
• 47:23
Speaker 1: at the campus in then after that we would sit
• 47:26
Speaker 1: and watch a movie. It'd be Gladiator, friend and I
• 47:28
Speaker 1: had like those types of things before this game. Texas
• 47:30
Speaker 1: Tech is playing the entire series of American primeval and
• 47:33
Speaker 1: they win this game by twenty eight point or they're
• 47:35
Speaker 1: terrified and no, they don't even show up two options.
• 47:39
Speaker 2: I'm gonna take the one where they bow up. B y,
• 47:42
Speaker 2: you got a better shot this time we're on could
• 47:44
Speaker 2: we see some more chaos?
• 47:45
Speaker 3: Model loves Brigham Young. I have no idea why. I
• 47:48
Speaker 3: have no idea why.
• 47:48
Speaker 2: Where's the model at on BYU?
• 47:50
Speaker 3: It has Texas Tech winning by eight like it thinks
• 47:52
Speaker 3: it's a huge cover probability edge for Brigham Young.
• 47:55
Speaker 1: This is one that you look at and you're like, oh,
• 47:56
Speaker 1: I bet this game.
• 47:57
  Speaker 3: I wouldn't. Oh don't. I don't agree with the model.
• 48:00
Speaker 3: That means I just don't bet it.
• 48:01
Speaker 1: Okay, a swing like that that's like raw men noudle express.
• 48:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, it would be how do you flip? So Brigham
• 48:07
Speaker 3: Young's got to flip something that happened the first time around.
• 48:09
Speaker 3: They had sixty rushing yards total. First time around, they
• 48:11
Speaker 3: were minus three turnovers. Brigham Young's got to run the ball.
• 48:14
Speaker 3: They got to win turnover battle. That's how they've done
• 48:16
Speaker 3: it all year. I do think they're playing their best ball.
• 48:18
Speaker 3: Like I really really respect what they did to Utah,
• 48:21
Speaker 3: but what they did to Cincinnati was more impressive. What
• 48:23
Speaker 3: they did to TCU at home, to me was more impressive.
• 48:26
Speaker 2: And they just got incredible news. They sure did reaction
• 48:29
Speaker 2: the coaches stay in.
• 48:30
Speaker 3: So you got to ride that revenge wave. You got
• 48:33
Speaker 3: to ride the our coaches staying wave.
• 48:35
Speaker 2: Boys, we win, we're in.
• 48:36
Speaker 3: You can't. So these are the paper poppers. Texas Tech
• 48:40
Speaker 3: in the first half their top three points per game
• 48:43
Speaker 3: first half, top two pass yards per game first half
• 48:46
Speaker 3: number one, and explosive passes in the first half. They
• 48:48
Speaker 3: did that against them last time too. But the thing
• 48:51
Speaker 3: about it is for everyone who tries to find a
• 48:53
Speaker 3: way for Brigham Young to win this game, like, oh man,
• 48:56
Speaker 3: if they just even up the turnover battle, Texas Tech
• 48:59
Speaker 3: saddle for five field in this thing too. Three of
• 49:01
Speaker 3: them were inside the red zone. So I look at
• 49:03
Speaker 3: twenty nine to seven the first time around. I was
• 49:05
Speaker 3: at that game, just not a close game, not really
• 49:07
Speaker 3: a competitive game. But I was thinking to myself leaving
• 49:09
Speaker 3: this actually could have been so much worse. So for
• 49:12
Speaker 3: every like progression to the mean that you expect from
• 49:15
Speaker 3: Brigham Young, there's also still a little catapult opportunity for
• 49:19
Speaker 3: Texas Tech to play their best ball. They didn't even
• 49:20
Speaker 3: play their best ball that day.
• 49:22
  Speaker 2: I have I don't.
• 49:23
Speaker 3: I don't know what the model scene. So I'm gonna
• 49:25
Speaker 3: take Texas Tech. I'll actually lay the points with.
• 49:28
Speaker 2: The blessing of the church. I'm gonna go bey wow. Really, Yes,
• 49:32
Speaker 2: he hasn't seen American Parmy.
• 49:33
  Speaker 5: No he hasn't.
• 49:33
Speaker 2: No, I haven't seen an Animal House either.
• 49:36
Speaker 1: That, by the way, moderious problem for the whole entire thing.
• 49:40
Speaker 2: We should become a very serious issue.
• 49:43
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we did a thing.
• 49:45
Speaker 2: I do we allowed to say what. It was a
• 49:47
Speaker 2: Fande commercial. They're updating the commercial with Fando. We got
• 49:50
Speaker 2: some stuff yesterday in the shop, production set up everything. Yeah.
• 49:52
Speaker 2: Here it always comes back to right.
• 49:54
Speaker 1: And we were doing a bit and Will had to
• 49:56
Speaker 1: wear a shirt that said college football, right or playoff.
• 49:59
Speaker 2: Football or something like that.
• 50:00
Speaker 1: And it was a scene from Blueto an Animal House
• 50:04
Speaker 1: of him trying to charge up the boys to take
• 50:06
Speaker 1: down the school after they get expelled, and the directors
• 50:10
Speaker 1: trying to explain to him, and had I got to
• 50:12
Speaker 1: stop the director. I'm like, hey, Will, do you know
• 50:15
Speaker 1: what he's trying to reference right now? And he just
• 50:16
Speaker 1: has the same look he has in his face right here,
• 50:18
Speaker 1: but his mouth you know, that shirt represents a big state,
• 50:25
Speaker 1: and I go, guys, he hasn't seen Animal House. The
• 50:29
Speaker 1: whole production crew stops in their tracks, mouths wide open.
• 50:33
Speaker 1: The director goes and types in YouTube the scene so
• 50:36
Speaker 1: Will can watch it to get some sort of inspiration
• 50:39
Speaker 1: understand kind of what we're doing this commercial.
• 50:42
Speaker 2: Goes, he goes, have you looked at the script at all?
• 50:43
Speaker 2: I was like no. He's like, all right, this this
• 50:46
Speaker 2: shouldn't be too bad. And then they explain the whole
• 50:48
Speaker 2: blue like the blueto Animal House, the scene of everything,
• 50:51
Speaker 2: and I'm kind of just staying there.
• 50:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, was it over when the Germans bomb Pearl Harbord
• 50:54
Speaker 1: that scene right there, and I.
• 50:56
Speaker 2: Kind of just go, yeah, yeah, I got it. Goes
• 50:58
Speaker 2: a joke about that is x Y and yeah, yeah
• 51:00
Speaker 2: the joke, but yeah, Japan the joke. So they said,
• 51:04
Speaker 2: I'm kind of just standing there. Oh yeah, so this
• 51:06
  Speaker 2: ain't Penn State.
• 51:07
Speaker 1: Yeah. So we had to sit there for through a
• 51:10
Speaker 1: six minute YouTube video of all of us kind of
• 51:11
Speaker 1: just waiting and looking at our phones awkwardly while Will
• 51:13
Speaker 1: watching a YouTube video for him to get the premise
• 51:16
Speaker 1: of what this commercial is going to be and then hey,
• 51:18
Speaker 1: you fucking killed dude. I thought you were phenomenal to see. Yeah,
• 51:24
Speaker 1: he had to be Bluto and that was a lot
• 51:25
Speaker 1: of dialogue for him.
• 51:26
Speaker 3: Can I be honest, I have absolutely no clue what
• 51:29
Speaker 3: we want you. I've seen it. I have no idea
• 51:34
Speaker 3: where we were before that came up about.
• 51:36
Speaker 2: With the Blessing of the Church. I'm going to b
• 51:37
Speaker 2: y you plus twelve.
• 51:38
Speaker 3: And yeah, the house is in Eugen I got a thing.
• 51:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, tell him about that one.
• 51:43
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. It always comes back to Animal House.
• 51:45
Speaker 2: We're out there at Oregon and Taylor's like, oh, this
• 51:47
Speaker 2: is the place is where were shot. He's like, well,
• 51:49
Speaker 2: do you know what we're talking about? I was like, no,
• 51:51
Speaker 2: it's like Animal House. Oh this scene was here. Will
• 51:54
Speaker 2: do you know what I'm talking about?
• 51:55
  Speaker 3: No?
• 51:55
Speaker 1: No, And I made Will me JP and Garrett. We
• 51:58
Speaker 1: had maybe the best walk of all time. Huh, Like
• 52:01
Speaker 1: got around those trees that was incredible. We're going this walk.
• 52:03
Speaker 1: Will meets up with us and I essentially make all
• 52:06
Speaker 1: of us walk to this area where a scene was
• 52:09
Speaker 1: shot an Animal House on the steps A boys look
• 52:12
Speaker 1: at it. Garrett's in awe. He's obviously moved.
• 52:14
Speaker 2: JP's and allward. It's like they're taking photh this is awesome,
• 52:17
Speaker 2: And I'm like, will you get it? He's like where
• 52:19
Speaker 2: we are we need somebody.
• 52:21
Speaker 1: It takes youhe the grand can and them just being like, oh,
• 52:24
  Speaker 1: it's a whole and you're like, all right, it's supposed
• 52:26
  Speaker 1: to beautiful.
• 52:26
Speaker 2: Is this the business school?
• 52:27
Speaker 1: Right? Yeah? And then obviously the A fraternity They no
• 52:31
Speaker 1: clue where we were before that, Yeah, no idea how
• 52:33
Speaker 1: we got there either.
• 52:34
Speaker 5: What's the chaos that like that would happen if by
• 52:36
Speaker 5: you were to win this game?
• 52:37
Speaker 3: Boh, don't say that it'd be bad. This is Notre
• 52:41
  Speaker 3: Dame's worst nightmare.
• 52:42
Speaker 2: Both, like pretty much everybody in the bub boy, Like, I.
• 52:45
Speaker 3: Know, we talked about Miami Notre Dame earlier today, but
• 52:48
Speaker 3: even if Miami doesn't jump Notre Dame, we are sitting
• 52:51
Speaker 3: less than twenty four hours removed from the committee, bumping
• 52:54
Speaker 3: Alabama up above Notre Dame. To me, that signifies Bama's
• 52:57
Speaker 3: not dropping no matter what happens Saturday, nor should they
• 53:01
Speaker 3: so Notre Dame sitting there at number ten if Brigham
• 53:04
Speaker 3: Young loses, like they're you know, allegedly supposed to do,
• 53:08
Speaker 3: and Miami doesn't jump Notre Dame. Like Notre Dame's good,
• 53:11
Speaker 3: they're in. But if Brigham Young wins, they're not taking
• 53:15
Speaker 3: Texas Tech out. So two G fives and two Big
• 53:19
Speaker 3: twelves would be in at that point. Well, the two
• 53:21
Speaker 3: G fives is contingent on the acc dooms Day, don't
• 53:23
Speaker 3: concern yourself with the G five. The point is, if
• 53:26
Speaker 3: Brigham Young wins this thing, you got to find spots
• 53:28
Speaker 3: that you didn't think you needed to find. And then
• 53:31
Speaker 3: you look at who's number ten right now because that's
• 53:33
Speaker 3: the cut line and it's Notre Dame, and they probably
• 53:36
Speaker 3: drop out. Like this thing comes down to in that scenario,
• 53:40
Speaker 3: bringing young Notre Dame. It's not bringing young Alabama. It
• 53:42
Speaker 3: never was going to be. It's bringing young Notre Dame.
• 53:45
Speaker 2: I have enough respect for the Big twelve this year
• 53:47
  Speaker 2: that I wouldn't I wouldn't see it as we got
• 53:49
Speaker 2: two G five and two Big twelve.
• 53:51
Speaker 3: You would see it as two G five Texas Tech
• 53:54
Speaker 3: and a Big twelve. It's probably what you would see. Yeah,
• 53:56
  Speaker 3: that's what I would see.
• 53:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, Texas Text like another pendent they've wor sitened
• 54:00
Speaker 2: there again, the ACC they just they gotta.
• 54:04
Speaker 3: They gotta, they gotta just cut the cord.
• 54:05
Speaker 2: Man. Wow, they don't want they exist this year. No, no, no, no,
• 54:10
Speaker 2: not don't exist. But again it's like this conference. They
• 54:13
Speaker 2: and you compare them against who you would relate them to.
• 54:17
Speaker 2: Is the Big twelve against Big twelve is six and
• 54:19
Speaker 2: one against the ACC this year. So ACC is closer
• 54:22
Speaker 2: than G five than they are the Big twelve.
• 54:24
Speaker 3: In my do you're not wrong about that, You're not
• 54:26
  Speaker 3: wrong about that.
• 54:27
Speaker 1: And we all know about my respect level for the
• 54:29
Speaker 1: G five. So and I agree with you on the
• 54:30
Speaker 1: a SEC comment. So they're not far off. Yeah in
• 54:33
Speaker 1: my respect. Mean if that means anything to the Atlantic
• 54:35
Speaker 1: Coast Conference? Uh, next game, number three Georgia versus number
• 54:40
Speaker 1: nine Alabama SEC Championship, real football, Yeah, real, we think
• 54:44
Speaker 1: So do we get to talk about I don't know
• 54:47
Speaker 1: if we can talk about it. Hold on, let me
• 54:49
Speaker 1: just real quick. George is favored by two and a
• 54:51
Speaker 1: half total points, the game is forty seven a half.
• 54:52
Speaker 1: Go ahead and ask that question again.
• 54:54
Speaker 2: Do we get to talk about what we potentially what
• 54:58
Speaker 2: we are doing, what we are doing for this game?
• 55:01
Speaker 2: And I'm gonna Hey, we're gonna default to the to
• 55:04
Speaker 2: the should we call?
• 55:05
Speaker 1: Should I just call the individual that can give me
• 55:07
  Speaker 1: the answer.
• 55:07
Speaker 2: Right now, we interrupt this episode to talk to you
• 55:09
Speaker 2: guys about the Boosting with the Boys profit boost token.
• 55:11
Speaker 2: If you don't already know, the Boys have a profit
• 55:13
Speaker 2: boost token available every college football Saturday. That's a profit
• 55:16
Speaker 2: boost on any college football Saturday. Bet just open up
• 55:20
Speaker 2: the Fandels sportsbook gap this Saturday and look out for
• 55:22
Speaker 2: the Boosting with the Boys profit boost token. Yeah, look,
• 55:26
Speaker 2: we teased it. If we have to edit out, we'll
• 55:27
Speaker 2: let it out. But the Boys we get to cover
• 55:29
Speaker 2: an altcast for the SEC Championship this weekend on ESPN.
• 55:33
Speaker 1: Yes too, Yep, it'll be us three. Harry Douglas teammate
• 55:40
Speaker 1: of ours. Were you on the team with him?
• 55:42
Speaker 2: I was not on the team.
• 55:42
Speaker 1: No, he guys asked cut before then. But hey, hell
• 55:45
Speaker 1: of a teammate, Hell a lot of energy. Guy's incredible.
• 55:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, just a wild straight with you.
• 55:52
Speaker 1: I like to thank Harry and I have their relationship, motherfucker. Yeah,
• 55:57
Speaker 1: he's gonna laugh and giggle about that and have something
• 55:59
Speaker 1: for me to He played nine or ten years. Oh dude,
• 56:01
Speaker 1: he was played Atlanta for a very long time, came over.
• 56:03
Speaker 1: Tarry Robiski was in Atlanta. He became the OC for
• 56:06
Speaker 1: attency times and he's like, I mean my guy Harry
• 56:08
Speaker 1: Douglas and brought him over and legit when I was
• 56:10
Speaker 1: singing on our call earlier during offensive staff meetings and
• 56:14
Speaker 1: players Harry Douglas and Tarry Robiski would just be in
• 56:17
Speaker 1: the kitchen, who's our OC and our wide receiver and
• 56:20
Speaker 1: they just be watching get up, Get up? Or yeah,
• 56:23
Speaker 1: like good morning football, and like joking about something and
• 56:26
Speaker 1: we got it, We got it, we got it.
• 56:27
Speaker 3: Yeah. Question ahead, because this is really big news that
• 56:31
  Speaker 3: you just dropped.
• 56:32
Speaker 2: This is massive news.
• 56:33
Speaker 3: You're telling me that while the main broadcast is going
• 56:36
Speaker 3: on on ABC, we're going to have our own alt
• 56:40
Speaker 3: cast broadcast where the four of us are on the
• 56:43
Speaker 3: field at the SEC Championship game, calling the action between
• 56:46
Speaker 3: Georgia and Alabama, two teams that have won ten out
• 56:49
Speaker 3: of the last eleven SEC Championships, playoff spots on the line,
• 56:54
Speaker 3: SEC title on the line, first round by on the line,
• 56:58
Speaker 3: and us with Mike's in our hands.
• 57:00
Speaker 2: On the sideline that's happy to see the action, getting
• 57:02
Speaker 2: the field of vibe.
• 57:03
Speaker 1: Waking down ball, see what's going on the sidelines, injuries, fights, arguments,
• 57:07
Speaker 1: the whole thing. We get to talk about it all.
• 57:09
Speaker 2: On some play by play from our boy Josh Paid,
• 57:12
Speaker 2: the future Commissioner of College Football.
• 57:14
Speaker 3: Oh, here we go? Is this it?
• 57:16
Speaker 1: My foster? Telo one?
• 57:16
  Speaker 3: How are you.
• 57:19
  Speaker 2: Tell them?
• 57:19
  Speaker 3: On?
• 57:19
Speaker 1: Fantastic? All right, we are shooting the locker room right now.
• 57:22
  Speaker 2: I have a mic on.
• 57:23
Speaker 1: We can cut it, but I'm with Will Compton and
• 57:27
Speaker 1: Josh Pay and we just announced that we're doing the
• 57:31
Speaker 1: simulcast on ESPN two. Is that okay? Okay, yeah, no,
• 57:36
Speaker 1: we're good. We can definitely say we're good to go.
• 57:38
Speaker 1: We're good to go. We've gotten we've gotten permission and
• 57:41
Speaker 1: we haven't asked had to ask for forgiveness. So that's fantastic.
• 57:44
Speaker 1: All right, fos, I'll talk to you later. Appreciate you.
• 57:46
Speaker 1: But all right, we're doing the thing. Who are you
• 57:55
Speaker 1: doing it with ESPN two. It'll be me and Will Compton,
• 57:58
Speaker 1: Josh Paying, Harry Douglas.
• 58:00
  Speaker 3: Will didn't pay.
• 58:01
Speaker 1: It was har he got cut. Hey.
• 58:05
Speaker 3: That is huge. It's massive, big deal.
• 58:07
Speaker 2: I mean, boys, the fact that we get to be
• 58:10
Speaker 2: on the field, the sec Championship, that big of a
• 58:13
Speaker 2: game like US where it was kind of going fan
• 58:17
Speaker 2: of college football? Were he who's the hater? Not fun
• 58:20
Speaker 2: on Twitter? And not yeah yeah the cat we had
• 58:23
Speaker 2: to delete. He's gonna be punching air.
• 58:27
Speaker 1: He'll know. Do you think the guy who had deleted
• 58:31
Speaker 1: his own Twitter because of what you two did to him,
• 58:33
Speaker 1: he's gonna find out or he's just giving up.
• 58:36
  Speaker 3: I think I think it's really safe to say he's
• 58:38
Speaker 3: tuning into Chris Faller and Kirkirk Street. I think it's
• 58:41
Speaker 3: really safe to say he's checking out the ABC feed.
• 58:43
Speaker 1: I see him with basic cable, and I see him
• 58:46
Speaker 1: thumbing through an old school with the clicker, and then
• 58:48
Speaker 1: it's Pops ESPN two and it's your face and it's
• 58:51
Speaker 1: both of you, like cut screen three pieces and the
• 58:54
Speaker 1: game's going in the middle and you two are talking
• 58:55
Speaker 1: and he just sees it for a moment and his
• 58:57
Speaker 1: heart rate goes to one twenty.
• 58:59
Speaker 3: Just he's Jesse breaking bad. He's he can't keep getting
• 59:02
Speaker 3: away with this, He screams at the air.
• 59:04
  Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah.
• 59:05
Speaker 3: Hate it for him, Love it for us though, Love
• 59:07
Speaker 3: it for the audience.
• 59:08
Speaker 2: You want to tune in and watch, watch us cover
• 59:11
Speaker 2: a game, the SEC Championship from a different perspective, our
• 59:14
Speaker 2: very first time doing it. Who knows how it's gonna go.
• 59:16
Speaker 2: I'm sure it'll be a little bumpy at times, no doubt,
• 59:19
Speaker 2: but this crew will figure it out. Right, Well, phone
• 59:21
  Speaker 2: won't break.
• 59:22
Speaker 3: Call on the game gonna be great.
• 59:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, we can know.
• 59:25
Speaker 2: We're trying to We're trying to figure out what the
• 59:26
Speaker 2: wardrobe is gonna be. I asked that question in the
• 59:29
Speaker 2: production call. They're like, you can wear whatever you want.
• 59:31
Speaker 1: Because you know my my move's gonna be probably the
• 59:33
Speaker 1: same jeans I'm wearing right now on a black T shirt.
• 59:35
Speaker 1: If they're if we don't decide anything, but if we
• 59:37
Speaker 1: want to go wranglers with some sort of SEC get
• 59:42
Speaker 1: up in a cowboy hat, which I know you hate hats.
• 59:44
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 59:45
Speaker 3: Well, the other thing to think about is piction.
• 59:47
Speaker 2: I'm trying to picture awesome.
• 59:50
Speaker 1: I like to fix your hand with a flannel T
• 59:51
Speaker 1: shirt to button down. Here.
• 59:52
Speaker 3: You can picture me however you want. This is an
• 59:55
Speaker 3: indoors game, like we're indoors right now. It is early December,
• 59:59
  Speaker 3: it is cold.
• 1:00:00
Speaker 1: You wear the T shirt and you gotta yeah, and buddy,
• 1:00:03
Speaker 1: is it not freezing in here.
• 1:00:06
Speaker 3: When we started doing the show in week one in
• 1:00:08
Speaker 3: late August, it was rough, it was it was right exactly,
• 1:00:12
Speaker 3: and now we're leaning forward.
• 1:00:14
Speaker 1: I know we should have a little fire next time.
• 1:00:16
Speaker 1: Can we build a fire? Why not call Mike, Mike,
• 1:00:20
Speaker 1: we can get a fire going.
• 1:00:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, but let's pick this SEC championship and see where
• 1:00:24
  Speaker 2: O bias lies.
• 1:00:25
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, ye, Garrett, was you gad to speak?
• 1:00:28
Speaker 1: Alabama's one one what Jordan's one and seven?
• 1:00:30
Speaker 3: Kirby is one and seven.
• 1:00:31
Speaker 1: Kirby is one and seven against Alabama. Ten of the
• 1:00:34
Speaker 1: last eleven SC champions.
• 1:00:36
Speaker 3: And will be eleven of the last twelve.
• 1:00:39
Speaker 1: Because Math and both these teams are in.
• 1:00:41
  Speaker 3: It's fair enough.
• 1:00:44
Speaker 4: Uh yeah, another big game for the Tide earned our
• 1:00:46
Speaker 4: spot here. It's a place we've been before, obviously. As
• 1:00:50
Speaker 4: you guys just said, my biggest thing with this weekend
• 1:00:54
Speaker 4: is that you guys are going to watch the Tide
• 1:00:56
Speaker 4: in the SEC and I'm not so that hurts, but
• 1:01:02
Speaker 4: I'm gonna find my own way there so I will
• 1:01:04
Speaker 4: see you guys there.
• 1:01:07
  Speaker 3: Roll timee.
• 1:01:08
Speaker 1: So Garrett just took an opportunity to get the mic
• 1:01:10
Speaker 1: to kind of be like you guys aren't taking it. Yeah,
• 1:01:13
Speaker 1: that's exactly what that was. Do we do we take there?
• 1:01:19
Speaker 2: I think we've gotta see what we can do at
• 1:01:20
Speaker 2: least give them, have to make that effort.
• 1:01:25
Speaker 1: We talked about it yesterday. I thought that was a
• 1:01:27
Speaker 1: no brainer. Yeah, we got to have confirmation, no doubt.
• 1:01:31
Speaker 1: And I'm bad about that.
• 1:01:33
Speaker 2: Is we're gonna be able to pull off two in
• 1:01:35
Speaker 2: a row here on Georgia watching Bama. They've had a
• 1:01:39
Speaker 2: they've went through a big time schedule, They've earned the
• 1:01:41
Speaker 2: right to be here. They're they're gonna stay in the
• 1:01:43
Speaker 2: College Wall playoff unless in some world it's like fifty
• 1:01:46
Speaker 2: five to seven and they just get blown out, and
• 1:01:48
Speaker 2: then you you kind of have to consider, hey, do
• 1:01:50
Speaker 2: is Bama fall the playoff after that ass beating? I
• 1:01:53
Speaker 2: see them getting in the playoff about ninety nine percent
• 1:01:55
Speaker 2: of the time. But they've kind of like limped their
• 1:01:57
Speaker 2: way to this finish line the way they've they've been
• 1:02:00
Speaker 2: winning their games, but they haven't been winning in a
• 1:02:01
Speaker 2: fashions where you kind of see ty Simpson. It's been
• 1:02:05
Speaker 2: high and tight. But again, the story with ty Simpson
• 1:02:07
Speaker 2: is you're just barely missing on those deep balls. Is
• 1:02:09
Speaker 2: that gonna continue. Are they gonna beat Georgia for a
• 1:02:12
Speaker 2: second time? I rowe Georgia team that's been playing spicy
• 1:02:14
Speaker 2: as of late, that's been putting the foot on the
• 1:02:17
Speaker 2: gas and looking like a team that's can be in
• 1:02:21
Speaker 2: my opinion of the team that would compete with Ohio
• 1:02:23
Speaker 2: Sate for a national championship. Does Bama beat him twice?
• 1:02:26
Speaker 2: It's gonna be hard to beat to beat Georgia twice.
• 1:02:28
Speaker 3: So progression regression to the mean in a rematch matters
• 1:02:32
Speaker 3: a lot. Bama thirteen of nineteen on third down first
• 1:02:35
Speaker 3: time they played in Athens, Georgia was like two of eight.
• 1:02:38
Speaker 3: Both of those teams are top thirty on third down.
• 1:02:40
Speaker 3: Just in general, Bam a huge edge that day. These
• 1:02:43
Speaker 3: are two huge like premier coaching staffs. Bama pretty huge
• 1:02:48
Speaker 3: edge that day. Georgia's pass rush did not get to
• 1:02:51
Speaker 3: Ty Simpson the entire night, zero sacks, and not only
• 1:02:54
Speaker 3: that didn't really even affect him all that much. Havoc
• 1:02:57
Speaker 3: great been spiking for Georgia these last few weeks is
• 1:03:00
Speaker 3: that there Saturday. The two biggest game breaking opportunities, one
• 1:03:05
Speaker 3: for both teams is the wide receiver group for Alabama's
• 1:03:08
Speaker 3: Jeremy Bernard, it's Isaiah Horton at seventeen. Lots Ofier Brooks
• 1:03:12
Speaker 3: has come on. As of late, Ryan Williams has been
• 1:03:13
Speaker 3: a ghost and can't really get a straight answer about
• 1:03:16
Speaker 3: where he's been. The deep ball thing is huge, like
• 1:03:18
Speaker 3: they barely miss him if they hit him. That fundamentally
• 1:03:21
Speaker 3: changes things for Alabama. They let Auburn break two huge
• 1:03:24
Speaker 3: explosive yards after catch plays on them last week. Zachariah
• 1:03:28
Speaker 3: Branch is more explosive than any player Auburn has, so
• 1:03:31
Speaker 3: that's where it could break for Georgia. I also remember
• 1:03:34
Speaker 3: Bama's secondary sort of throttling down Georgia a little bit.
• 1:03:37
Speaker 3: Georgia ran it for over two hundred and I expect
• 1:03:40
Speaker 3: him to have a fair amount of success running the
• 1:03:41
Speaker 3: ball again. But Georgia's center is probably out for this game.
• 1:03:45
Speaker 3: Both teams badly banged up. But Georgia's center being at
• 1:03:49
Speaker 3: how does it affect snaps? How does it affect run fits,
• 1:03:52
Speaker 3: flow in the run game, collapse in the pocket. Tim
• 1:03:55
Speaker 3: Keenan was injured and just coming back for this Georgia
• 1:03:58
Speaker 3: game the first time around, playing like a stud now
• 1:04:01
Speaker 3: and so not only is he like a two gap
• 1:04:03
Speaker 3: or type, but he can also really collapse the pocket
• 1:04:05
Speaker 3: gives him a decent interior pass rush against the red
• 1:04:08
Speaker 3: shirt freshman center. The injury situation is probably gonna matter
• 1:04:13
Speaker 3: as much in this game as any championship game we
• 1:04:14
Speaker 3: see Saturday. I am fundamentally of the opinion that it's
• 1:04:18
Speaker 3: extremely hard to beat a team twice in the same year,
• 1:04:21
Speaker 3: especially when that team is staffed and personneled like Georgia's.
• 1:04:25
Speaker 3: The model likes Georgia. I have literally no lean in
• 1:04:29
Speaker 3: the game. So just because of the computer, I'll lean Georgia.
• 1:04:32
Speaker 3: It's two and a half? Right, is it still two
• 1:04:34
Speaker 3: and a half? All right, I'll lay those points. No
• 1:04:36
Speaker 3: confidence in that picked up. Gonna be a great game.
• 1:04:38
Speaker 2: Over under forty seven and a half. Again, again, we're
• 1:04:41
Speaker 2: gonna be We're gonna be covering the well in the game.
• 1:04:43
Speaker 1: I was having the same thought when he was breaking
• 1:04:44
Speaker 1: it down. I was like, do we even picket picketting?
• 1:04:46
  Speaker 3: Well?
• 1:04:46
Speaker 1: We want to do the Herb Street Just do we
• 1:04:48
Speaker 1: want to stay completely biased in this entire thing?
• 1:04:50
Speaker 2: Yeah? Over forty seven and a half. It's like when
• 1:04:52
Speaker 2: these two teams play unbiased. When these two teams play,
• 1:04:56
Speaker 2: I expect a physical football game. For whatever reason, when
• 1:04:59
Speaker 2: these two unifl out there, it's gonna be the SEC championship.
• 1:05:02
Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be two physical teams going at it.
• 1:05:05
Speaker 2: I like the over in this game. If I had
• 1:05:07
Speaker 2: to pick and see how this game is going to unfold,
• 1:05:09
Speaker 2: I picture the state of Georgia, everybody at home just
• 1:05:12
Speaker 2: barking at the TV because George is gonna pull off
• 1:05:15
  Speaker 2: a win. I see the.
• 1:05:16
Speaker 1: Georgia thing too. I'm gonna take the under do it
• 1:05:18
Speaker 1: the over over. I'm gonna take the over as well.
• 1:05:20
  Speaker 2: Excitement.
• 1:05:21
Speaker 1: Everyone loves rooting for points in these games. Who wants
• 1:05:23
Speaker 1: the excited, high flying I see Alabama through the air,
• 1:05:26
Speaker 1: maybe meeting a couple of those connections that you're talking
• 1:05:27
Speaker 1: about that haven't happened as a recent Georgia. On the
• 1:05:30
Speaker 1: other hand, I see them running the ball very effectively,
• 1:05:32
Speaker 1: especially going to Stockton. Having an extra blocker in there,
• 1:05:35
Speaker 1: getting that done redshirt freshman center is a bit of alarming.
• 1:05:39
Speaker 1: But I like Georgia getting themselves in thirty manageables. Overall,
• 1:05:42
Speaker 1: I see a lot of points having this game. I'm
• 1:05:43
Speaker 1: gonna to be over as well.
• 1:05:45
Speaker 2: All right, great breakdown, boys and It's gonna be fun.
• 1:05:48
Speaker 2: You think that was a great breakdown, Just wait till
• 1:05:50
Speaker 2: Wait till Saturdays two ESPN two You wanna have phone
• 1:05:54
  Speaker 2: with the boys?
• 1:05:55
Speaker 1: Game of the Week two Classic Game of the Week.
• 1:05:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, every Saturday's got games, but only one fits just right.
• 1:05:59
Speaker 2: This is true Classics Game of the Week, the Big
• 1:06:01
Speaker 2: Ten Championship. What have this episode to bring you?
• 1:06:03
Speaker 1: True classic? Dude? You can find two Classic on Amazon
• 1:06:07
Speaker 1: and Costco, Sam's Club and Target nationwide, or online at
• 1:06:09
Speaker 1: two class dot com forward slash bustin. Listen, I wear
• 1:06:12
Speaker 1: the pants every single day. I got that PEMA T
• 1:06:14
Speaker 1: shirt on. Grab a shoulders your boy during galt. I
• 1:06:17
Speaker 1: haven't touched to wait in over a month. All right,
• 1:06:20
Speaker 1: I look at myself in the room, I'm like, what
• 1:06:22
Speaker 1: the hell is this? I put the PEMA T shirt on.
• 1:06:24
Speaker 1: It grabs a little bit more like, Hey, maybe it's
• 1:06:25
Speaker 1: not as bad as you think when the shirt's off.
• 1:06:27
Speaker 1: That's because the true classic look good, feel good, play good.
• 1:06:31
Speaker 2: Kurt Signetti versus Ryan Day Indiana Ohio State. Ohio state
• 1:06:35
Speaker 2: favorite in this game by four and a half points.
• 1:06:38
Speaker 2: The over under on this game is forty seven and
• 1:06:40
Speaker 2: a half. You have four and a half is light.
• 1:06:44
Speaker 3: It's very light. It's extremely impressive that on a neutral
• 1:06:47
Speaker 3: field anyone can be within five points, just point spread
• 1:06:51
Speaker 3: wise of Ohio State, but especially especially a non traditional,
• 1:06:56
Speaker 3: non top ten recruiting type team like Indiana, Like that's
• 1:06:59
Speaker 3: a such a monumental statement before the game kicks off.
• 1:07:04
Speaker 3: Ryan Day, best friend of yours now shines in these moments,
• 1:07:09
Speaker 3: but so does Kurt Signetti. We saw him go on
• 1:07:11
Speaker 3: the road to Oregon earlier this year. Like that game
• 1:07:14
Speaker 3: changed things in my mind because last year Signetti and
• 1:07:17
Speaker 3: Indiana went to Ohio State, they got blown out, and
• 1:07:20
Speaker 3: they went in the playoff and they got beat by
• 1:07:21
Speaker 3: Notre Dame, and it kind of fulfilled a lot of
• 1:07:24
Speaker 3: the preconceived ideas that they're mainly a product of an
• 1:07:27
Speaker 3: inferior schedule whatever. This year they look way different to me.
• 1:07:31
Speaker 3: I think they're a legitimate top five team. But you
• 1:07:33
Speaker 3: don't have to wonder. They went to Oregon and owned
• 1:07:36
Speaker 3: Oregon and then they've shined the rest of the way.
• 1:07:39
Speaker 3: So if they can control somewhat the explosivity of Ohio
• 1:07:45
Speaker 3: State's offense, they got a shot to win the game.
• 1:07:47
Speaker 3: They do have to have a little bit more balance.
• 1:07:49
Speaker 3: It'll easily be the most balanced offense, like the most
• 1:07:52
Speaker 3: toolbox y kind of offense that Ohio State's seen so
• 1:07:55
Speaker 3: far this year. Now to mean Ohio State's incapable of
• 1:07:58
Speaker 3: stopping them, it just means it's a different test for
• 1:08:00
Speaker 3: Ohio State. But so much can go right for them.
• 1:08:02
Speaker 3: They can control tempo, they can be converting third downs,
• 1:08:07
Speaker 3: they could be tilting field position in their favor. If
• 1:08:10
Speaker 3: you're just hitting Jeremiah Smith for eighty, if you're hitting
• 1:08:13
Speaker 3: Carnel Tate for sixty eight, doesn't matter because those explosives,
• 1:08:16
Speaker 3: you could win time of possession two to one. You
• 1:08:18
Speaker 3: can win twice as many plays as Ohio State. It
• 1:08:20
Speaker 3: doesn't matter. It just means they're scoring quick. So you
• 1:08:23
Speaker 3: got to control that to have a shot. It's a
• 1:08:25
Speaker 3: real big test of Will's game because both of them
• 1:08:28
Speaker 3: have looked pretty unstoppable. It's the beauty of conference championship Saturday.
• 1:08:32
Speaker 3: I just ride with Ohio State in these kind of
• 1:08:35
Speaker 3: moments until further notice. As we documented last Saturday morning,
• 1:08:39
Speaker 3: very late in the morning.
• 1:08:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, oh we're gonna bring that up. Yeah, I gotta
• 1:08:41
Speaker 1: ride with Ohio State in later points.
• 1:08:43
Speaker 2: I'm taking Ohio State minus four at two. I just, dude,
• 1:08:46
Speaker 2: I think this teeth, this defense is so good and
• 1:08:49
Speaker 2: even if even in Indiana being able to move the ball,
• 1:08:51
Speaker 2: they'll be able to I'm excited to watch Fernano Mendoza
• 1:08:54
Speaker 2: because he's kind of been a Heisman spotlight right here,
• 1:08:56
Speaker 2: like right now. I feel like Diego Pavia, in my opinion,
• 1:08:59
Speaker 2: is the front runner of the guy who should be
• 1:09:01
Speaker 2: the Heisman winner this year. But Fernana Mendoza is going
• 1:09:03
Speaker 2: to be in a huge moment this weekend against the
• 1:09:06
Speaker 2: best defense in the country in Ohio State. I'm excited
• 1:09:09
Speaker 2: to see if they'll be able to turn three into
• 1:09:11
Speaker 2: seven because I just believe in Oha State's defense so much.
• 1:09:13
Speaker 2: They're savvy, Patricia, He's got all those guys, all these
• 1:09:17
Speaker 2: aliens playing with the higher IQ. They're very situationally aware.
• 1:09:20
Speaker 2: They're one of the best in the red zone at
• 1:09:22
Speaker 2: keeping teams out of the end zone. I just I
• 1:09:24
Speaker 2: think Ohio State has too much. I think they'll be
• 1:09:26
Speaker 2: able to score, they'll be able to get seven compared
• 1:09:28
Speaker 2: to Indiana, who will be able to move the ball
• 1:09:30
Speaker 2: at times, but I think they'll have to settle for
• 1:09:31
Speaker 2: three a lot so I'm taking Ohio State my sport.
• 1:09:33
Speaker 3: Not a lot of mobility in Fernanda. Mendoza's game has
• 1:09:36
Speaker 3: to win it with his arm. He threw for two
• 1:09:38
Speaker 3: fifteen against Oregon, two thirty three against Iowa. I'm of
• 1:09:41
Speaker 3: the opinion he has to do better than that to
• 1:09:43
Speaker 3: beat Ohio State. Are you in agreement with them? Yes?
• 1:09:46
Speaker 3: And if he does, he probably wins the Heisman.
• 1:09:48
Speaker 2: If he's thrown for what three hundred and gets what
• 1:09:51
Speaker 2: two touchdowns, zero interceptions? I think that would be Yeah,
• 1:09:55
Speaker 2: I think that would be enough.
• 1:09:56
Speaker 1: I know who my Heisman winner is and he's out
• 1:09:59
Speaker 1: of the playoffs detained. Yep, yeah, absolutely, no, really, no,
• 1:10:05
Speaker 1: that's good. Listen, the thing that mat Patrici is the
• 1:10:08
Speaker 1: biggest game changer that Ohio States had. Obviously, the decoordinator
• 1:10:11
Speaker 1: goes to Penn State. Bad, bad move by him, Brian Harlane.
• 1:10:14
Speaker 1: He gets elevated as the OC. But the thing that
• 1:10:16
Speaker 1: makes Matatrix is so difficult. He obviously has a lot
• 1:10:18
Speaker 1: of talent on the field. Every game, he has a
• 1:10:22
Speaker 1: roll index of different defenses and different coverages that he
• 1:10:25
Speaker 1: can give you that it's gonna take Indiana a quarter
• 1:10:28
Speaker 1: two quarters to really figure out they're doing, and then
• 1:10:31
Speaker 1: by that time it's halftime adjustments. So the thing you
• 1:10:33
Speaker 1: might have figured out now that mat Patricia comes out
• 1:10:36
Speaker 1: in the second half with a completely different look in
• 1:10:38
Speaker 1: disguise of what's going on, so he has the ability
• 1:10:40
Speaker 1: to keep an offense in a blender for all four quarters.
• 1:10:45
Speaker 1: I had to lose a friend this weekend. I had
• 1:10:48
Speaker 1: to watch my team, who's won foreign four in a row,
• 1:10:51
Speaker 1: get brutally demolished and a completely uncompetitive game. I had
• 1:10:56
Speaker 1: to watch kid that we spend ten million dollars getting
• 1:10:59
Speaker 1: throwed the ball five times in the first half. Would
• 1:11:01
Speaker 1: have been a different game if we maybe threw a
• 1:11:02
  Speaker 1: little bit.
• 1:11:02
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 1:11:03
Speaker 1: I'm not here to say, but that defense is pretty
• 1:11:06
Speaker 1: incredibly impressive. Julian saying he's throwing routes on air and
• 1:11:09
Speaker 1: it's not his fault. He is he's got the two
• 1:11:11
Speaker 1: best wide receivers and all of course, well, well, maybe
• 1:11:14
Speaker 1: Jeremiah Smith is the best player in all of college football.
• 1:11:17
Speaker 1: I spent all last year after Michigan had the biggest
• 1:11:21
Speaker 1: upset in Columbus, winning thirteen to ten. I spent every
• 1:11:24
Speaker 1: single game of the playoffs saying that this is when
• 1:11:27
Speaker 1: Ohio State falls, they're not going to get it. And
• 1:11:29
Speaker 1: they just went on a tear. And at this point, man,
• 1:11:32
Speaker 1: they're sixteen to zero since the last time they played.
• 1:11:36
Speaker 1: When they play Michigan and Columbus, I'll think Ohio State
• 1:11:38
Speaker 1: minus four and a half.
• 1:11:39
Speaker 2: And not to mention, you got to see him in
• 1:11:41
Speaker 2: a little bit of adversity for a minute. Literally really
• 1:11:44
Speaker 2: is saying coming out that first year, he's throwing a pick,
• 1:11:47
Speaker 2: throwing a bad pick. We've been bouncing back.
• 1:11:49
Speaker 1: Ohio State spent more time down in the Michigan Ohio
• 1:11:53
Speaker 1: State game than they did the entire football season, which
• 1:11:56
Speaker 1: is just insane. I think they have spent one minute
• 1:11:59
Speaker 1: being down the entire year before that Michigan game. Michigan
• 1:12:02
Speaker 1: drives the field, does really good running the ball, kicks three,
• 1:12:05
Speaker 1: we get an interception on the first throw of the game.
• 1:12:08
Speaker 1: Ryan Day said in our show, I'm thinking it, we're
• 1:12:11
Speaker 1: about to do this shit again, holding for three. It's
• 1:12:14
Speaker 1: you know, after that, it's over.
• 1:12:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, And again just talking more about coach Patricia. We've
• 1:12:20
Speaker 2: played against it, Matt Patricia defense. Where we've been sitting
• 1:12:23
Speaker 2: in the that we've sat in there with variable, we
• 1:12:24
Speaker 2: sat in there with any any time you're listening to
• 1:12:26
Speaker 2: a coach speak from an offensive perspective, going against a
• 1:12:29
Speaker 2: Matt Patricia defense, it's always they take away your best weapon,
• 1:12:33
Speaker 2: like your best tools. That's what they focus on defensively
• 1:12:36
Speaker 2: because to your appointment, those and not being very mobile
• 1:12:38
Speaker 2: in the pocket. Front seven is always gonna think we
• 1:12:40
Speaker 2: have to stop the run in every game that happens, right,
• 1:12:43
Speaker 2: So when you're able to dial things in on third
• 1:12:45
Speaker 2: down and play with that level of viq that coach
• 1:12:47
Speaker 2: Patricia is going to have that defense ready for. That
• 1:12:49
Speaker 2: to me is where they're able to squeeze Indiana.
• 1:12:51
Speaker 1: A lot of those conversations, see they take place when
• 1:12:53
Speaker 1: you're playing against Patricia when he was at the Patriots.
• 1:12:55
Speaker 1: Is if you're an offensive meeting Derson there going hey,
• 1:13:00
Speaker 1: this is kind of every defense that they've run this
• 1:13:02
Speaker 1: year based on our skill set, this is what we
• 1:13:04
Speaker 1: think we're gonna have to run, but we won't know
• 1:13:07
Speaker 1: until the game starts of what they're coming out. After
• 1:13:09
Speaker 1: the first series, we can kind of make adjustments from there,
• 1:13:11
Speaker 1: but expect these three or four kind of defensive schemes
• 1:13:15
Speaker 1: that Matt Patrich has run in the past to kind
• 1:13:17
Speaker 1: of stop our bread and butter is what we're able
• 1:13:19
Speaker 1: to do. And that's where you put Indiana in a
• 1:13:22
Speaker 1: massive deficit because they have to wait till after the
• 1:13:24
Speaker 1: game starts to figure out what their game plan is.
• 1:13:26
Speaker 1: And that's what put its Ohio State.
• 1:13:27
Speaker 2: Right, Like, if somebody's highly targeted on third gun, you're
• 1:13:30
Speaker 2: going to assume Matt Paturs is going to take this away.
• 1:13:32
Speaker 2: So how are we going to win on the other
• 1:13:33
Speaker 2: side in this situation?
• 1:13:35
Speaker 1: And then there's four d chests where he now he
• 1:13:37
Speaker 1: doesn't take that away, and he's messed up your entire
• 1:13:39
Speaker 1: game plan. So it's better just kind of a wait
• 1:13:41
Speaker 1: and see moment for them in Indianapolis, Like, hey, we
• 1:13:44
Speaker 1: got to find out what they're doing and then adjust
• 1:13:46
Speaker 1: from there. And that takes a lot for Kirksinetti and
• 1:13:48
Speaker 1: his staff to kind of decipher and figure out from
• 1:13:51
Speaker 1: the get go. Yeah, Ohio State, man, those sons of bitches.
• 1:13:56
Speaker 1: Good for them, isn't the dude? The only thing that
• 1:14:02
Speaker 1: has changed for me is I I truly respect Ryan Day.
• 1:14:05
Speaker 3: You lost me as a friend and gained Ryan Day.
• 1:14:08
  Speaker 1: We're friends.
• 1:14:09
Speaker 3: You said you loved that guy. No, it was sea
• 1:14:11
Speaker 3: bass and dumb and dumber. He walks up to your table.
• 1:14:14
Speaker 3: You threw the salt shaker at him, and then he
• 1:14:16
Speaker 3: called you out and he hawked on your burger and
• 1:14:18
  Speaker 3: you caved.
• 1:14:19
Speaker 1: I watched that. That's fucking bullshit.
• 1:14:21
  Speaker 2: I watched that.
• 1:14:22
  Speaker 1: That's a bullshit. No, here's what happened, dude, I said
• 1:14:27
Speaker 1: all these crazy things.
• 1:14:28
  Speaker 3: Yep.
• 1:14:29
Speaker 1: And Ryan Day who denied us, Ohio State denied us?
• 1:14:32
Speaker 1: What was it Sunday? There's no time for Ryan Day
• 1:14:35
Speaker 1: to make it on Busting with the Boys. Ryan Day
• 1:14:38
Speaker 1: also has issues with Pat McAfee. Allegedly, Pat was very
• 1:14:40
Speaker 1: vocal about that. Ryan Day in the middle season goes
• 1:14:43
Speaker 1: on Pat McAfee show, Why fucking victory lapse? So what
• 1:14:47
Speaker 1: did he do? When I wants to take a piss?
• 1:14:49
Speaker 1: And Ryan Nolan came up and said, hey, will Ryan
• 1:14:51
Speaker 1: Day twenty minutes at eleven thirty?
• 1:14:52
Speaker 2: Can you do that?
• 1:14:53
Speaker 1: And go thumbs up? It's like, yeah, he's taking a
• 1:14:56
Speaker 1: victory lap, and so what am I gonna do? Double down? Hey,
• 1:14:58
Speaker 1: you're still not a leader of many, even though you
• 1:15:00
Speaker 1: won a national championship and you just beat Michigan, who's
• 1:15:02
Speaker 1: beating you four years in a row. I'm gonna find
• 1:15:04
Speaker 1: something to pull out of the ether. No, dude, I
• 1:15:06
Speaker 1: hate Ohio State, but my god, he's proved me wrong
• 1:15:10
Speaker 1: and every since everything I've said. He was born on
• 1:15:12
Speaker 1: third base, but he's elevated his team.
• 1:15:15
Speaker 3: He he's still home. He is.
• 1:15:17
Speaker 1: He walked into an uber Michigan the bake House in
• 1:15:19
