Speaker 1: Horns plus bass plus Friday equals the startam Centum Show.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: Welcome everybody to the latest edition of your Start Sits
• 0:17
Speaker 1: for the weekend. I'm Marcus grad. He is Michael F. Florio.
• 0:20
Speaker 1: He is the man who puts together the start set list,
• 0:22
Speaker 1: which you can find every week at NFL dot com
• 0:24
Speaker 1: slash Start Sit. Playoffs are upon as we are one
• 0:28
Speaker 1: game into the Fantasy Playoffs starts. It does it get
• 0:32
Speaker 1: easier or harder this time of the year.
• 0:34
Speaker 2: For me writing the article gets a little easier because
• 0:37
Speaker 2: I take less big shots because I'm like, hey, I'm
• 0:40
Speaker 2: not gonna tell you to sit your studs in playoff season.
• 0:43
Speaker 2: It's all about floors and stuff like that. So keep
• 0:45
  Speaker 2: going with what's.
• 0:46
Speaker 1: Got you here, all right. So we are going to
• 0:48
Speaker 1: dive into the top starts and sits of week fifteen.
• 0:52
Speaker 1: We're gonna tell you who's going to pile up the points.
• 0:54
Speaker 1: Plus the Kawan Jones gonna stop by to help us
• 0:56
Speaker 1: make some tough decisions as we get into a critical week.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: Of course, we already have one game played. Apparently what
• 1:03
Speaker 1: happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas because the Chargers
• 1:06
Speaker 1: got thumped and Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Tellusco
• 1:09
Speaker 1: were let go by the Chargers on Friday morning, but
• 1:13
Speaker 1: in the meantime we look ahead to the rest of
• 1:15
Speaker 1: week fifteen. We got some starts and sits at quarterback.
• 1:18
Speaker 1: So Floria, let's take a look at your list of
• 1:20
Speaker 1: start sid quarterbacks and who's up and who's down.
• 1:23
Speaker 2: Justin Fields remains in play, as does Jordan Love. Matthew
• 1:26
Speaker 2: Stafford is one of my favorite plays of the week.
• 1:29
Speaker 2: I think Russell Wilson is a good start this week
• 1:32
Speaker 2: as well. And some sits. I said, I don't take
• 1:35
Speaker 2: a big as swings, but Trevor Lawrence and Jared Goff
• 1:37
Speaker 2: are big names that I think you could try to
• 1:39
Speaker 2: get away from this week. As Gardner Minshew has been
• 1:41
Speaker 2: a popular streaming option. And then I know people like
• 1:44
Speaker 2: to stream the Vikings quarterback like when it was the
• 1:46
Speaker 2: Passionate and stuff. I'm washing my hands clean.
• 1:48
Speaker 1: Of that situation altogether, you know. I know Adam Rank
• 1:51
Speaker 1: was a little bit bold. Nick Bullen's made an appearance in
• 1:53
Speaker 1: the Hype Train. I don't know that I could fully
• 1:55
Speaker 1: endorse it, but I appreciate the thinking process there. But
• 1:58
Speaker 1: let's go with Justin Fields, right, he has been playing
• 2:01
Speaker 1: some really good football this year. The Browns defense has
• 2:04
Speaker 1: been very good all year long. So who wins in
• 2:07
Speaker 1: this battle of Fields versus the Browns?
• 2:10
Speaker 2: I think it could be a little bit of each
• 2:12
Speaker 2: but Justin Fields will finish with a good amount of
• 2:15
Speaker 2: fantasy points in this one, twenty one or more in
• 2:18
Speaker 2: four of his last five and like he just went
• 2:21
Speaker 2: off last week for twenty five against the Lions. Why
• 2:23
Speaker 2: because of what he gave you with his legs. And
• 2:25
Speaker 2: I understand that the Cleveland Browns defense has been really,
• 2:29
Speaker 2: really tough, but even if they limit the passing numbers,
• 2:32
Speaker 2: DJ Moore are still gonna get his and I think
• 2:35
Speaker 2: Justin Fields will continue to run the ball. And that's
• 2:38
Speaker 2: what I'm about in the fantasy playoffs, I want to
• 2:40
Speaker 2: say floors. So I think Justin Fields gives you a
• 2:43
Speaker 2: save fifteen to sixteen points, and there's always the upside
• 2:46
Speaker 2: that he could give you twenty twenty five because he's
• 2:49
  Speaker 2: Justin Fields.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: There's still plenty of debate on whether or not Justin
• 2:52
Speaker 1: Fields is a franchise quarterback, and that's a decision the
• 2:55
Speaker 1: Bears have to make this offseason. It is certainly established
• 2:59
Speaker 1: that he is a good fantasy quarterback that is no
• 3:01
Speaker 1: longer up for debate. Jordan Love. We're still trying to
• 3:05
Speaker 1: figure out what he is as both a real quarterback
• 3:07
Speaker 1: and as a fantasy quarterback. But he's got a good
• 3:09
Speaker 1: matchup this week against the Buccaneers.
• 3:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, last week he ran into the Devido family reunion
• 3:15
Speaker 2: and things did not go well for him in New Jersey.
• 3:18
Speaker 2: But I think I expect better results at home against
• 3:21
Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay Bucks this week. Don't forget that in
• 3:24
Speaker 2: the four games before last week's Monday night game, he
• 3:26
Speaker 2: was averaging twenty two fantasy points per game, and then
• 3:30
Speaker 2: the matchup. The Bucks have allowed these second most passing yards,
• 3:33
Speaker 2: the fifth most fantasy points two wide receivers this year,
• 3:37
Speaker 2: and their offense could put up some points as well.
• 3:39
Speaker 2: So I think Jordan Love is a good option if
• 3:42
Speaker 2: you're going you know, I'm not playing him over your studs,
• 3:45
Speaker 2: but I think other than that, he's a good option
• 3:46
  Speaker 2: this week.
• 3:47
Speaker 1: All right, So we're back in on Jordan Love, who
• 3:49
Speaker 1: started the year well, kind of had a slump mid season,
• 3:52
Speaker 1: has sort of the bounce back over the last few weeks.
• 3:54
Speaker 1: Jared Goff, we keep saying it, he is an indoor cat.
• 3:57
Speaker 1: He is playing indoors this weekend, but he's playing the Broncos,
• 4:01
Speaker 1: So you seem like you're sort of outs on mister Goff.
• 4:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a something's gotta give narrative wise in
• 4:07
Speaker 2: this game, because Goff at home awesome, But the Broncos
• 4:10
Speaker 2: have been shutting down quarterbacks and I think the Broncos
• 4:13
Speaker 2: defense wins out in this one. Since Week five, no
• 4:17
Speaker 2: quarterback has got eighteen fantasy points against them, and in
• 4:20
Speaker 2: that span they've played Josh Allen, c J. Stroud, Jordan Love,
• 4:23
Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes twice. None of them got to eighteen. Plus
• 4:27
Speaker 2: they are very stingy against the pass. Patrick Surtan is
• 4:31
Speaker 2: probably gonna be all over Aman Ross Saint Brown in
• 4:33
Speaker 2: this one. That being said, though, they've allowed the most
• 4:36
Speaker 2: fantasy points a bunch of production to running backs, So
• 4:39
Speaker 2: I think this is a Jamir Gibbs David Montgomery kind
• 4:41
Speaker 2: of week. It could be one of those weeks where
• 4:43
Speaker 2: the Lions win and you look, you're like, Jared Goff
• 4:45
Speaker 2: had to play well, oh, I got twelve fantasy points.
• 4:48
Speaker 2: I think the narrative like I could line up to
• 4:50
Speaker 2: beat something like that.
• 4:51
Speaker 1: This feels like a game where you know, golf gives you,
• 4:53
Speaker 1: like you know, two hundred and forty yards and maybe
• 4:55
Speaker 1: a touchdown. There might be an interception thrown in there
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: somewhere as well.
• 4:58
Speaker 2: He's been fumbling left and right.
• 5:00
Speaker 1: I've been mister fumble thumbs over the last few weeks.
• 5:02
Speaker 1: So maybe you stay away from Jared Goff if you can.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: Those are the guys who are pitching it. Let's talk
• 5:07
Speaker 1: about the guys who will be catching it as we
• 5:09
Speaker 1: take a look at your start sit wide receivers for
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: week fifteen.
• 5:13
Speaker 2: The Rams guys one hundred percent in play. Even if
• 5:16
Speaker 2: you're like you're too obvious, you've been asking us if
• 5:18
Speaker 2: you could start Cup and Buka for weeks now. I
• 5:21
Speaker 2: think the Packers Jayden Reed and Romeo Dobbs both in
• 5:25
Speaker 2: play this week. Courtland Sutton a sneaky option against the
• 5:29
Speaker 2: not sneaky. I must start an option, I would say
• 5:30
Speaker 2: Garrett Wilson as well. My sits Jordan Addison. I just
• 5:34
Speaker 2: think that the floor and the upside is way too low.
• 5:36
Speaker 2: Chris Godwin, if he plays, I think you sit him
• 5:38
Speaker 2: either way. Adam Thielen hasn't been the same, and then
• 5:41
Speaker 2: George Pickens is just unusable with Mitchell Trubisky.
• 5:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been rough with Trubisky at quarterback. Meanwhile, let's
• 5:49
Speaker 1: talk about Garrett Wilson because I said earlier in the
• 5:51
Speaker 1: week that you can feel good about your primary Jets
• 5:55
Speaker 1: right regardless of who the quarterback is. Breece Hall is
• 5:57
Speaker 1: still getting volume, Garrett Wilson is still getting volume, and
• 6:01
Speaker 1: even though the Dolphins haven't been lights out lately, I
• 6:04
Speaker 1: do think the Jets are gonna have to throw the
• 6:05
Speaker 1: football to stay in this game with them.
• 6:07
Speaker 2: Completely agree with you there, And he's coming off his
• 6:10
Speaker 2: best game of the year. Zach Wilson is coming off
• 6:12
Speaker 2: the best game of his career. And like Marcus said,
• 6:15
Speaker 2: the Dolphins, even as banged up as they are, probably
• 6:17
Speaker 2: gonna put up some points. So the Jets will have
• 6:19
Speaker 2: to as well. And I keep saying it floor matters
• 6:22
Speaker 2: greatly in the fantasy playoffs. Garrett Wilson has one game
• 6:26
Speaker 2: this year with fewer than eight Fantasy points. It came
• 6:28
Speaker 2: with Tim Boyle. He routinely goes off for double digits. Yeah,
• 6:32
Speaker 2: I know last week was his first time topping twenty,
• 6:34
Speaker 2: but he can give you a consistent and safe twelve
• 6:37
Speaker 2: to fifteen points. And this ceiling is raised in this
• 6:40
Speaker 2: one because they might be in catchup mode. Yeah, I
• 6:42
Speaker 2: think you just keep riding with Garrett Wilson.
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, look, it hasn't been what we wanted
• 6:46
Speaker 1: it to be because Aaron Rodgers wasn't there all year long.
• 6:49
Speaker 1: But Jarrett Wilson's still getting plenty of volume. The only
• 6:52
Speaker 1: Jets pass catcher you can count on. Meanwhile, we had
• 6:54
Speaker 1: a stretch in the middle of the season where we
• 6:56
Speaker 1: kind of were able to lean on Jordan Addison for
• 6:58
Speaker 1: a little bit, having a pretty good rookie year. But
• 7:01
Speaker 1: Nick Mullins is at quarterback, Justin Jefferson is back. This
• 7:05
Speaker 1: feels like scary hours for Jordan Adison.
• 7:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I know right now the Bengals look like
• 7:10
Speaker 2: a great matchup on paper. They've allowed the most yards
• 7:12
Speaker 2: to wide receivers since Week ten. I don't care. I
• 7:15
Speaker 2: want to avoid Jordan Addison this week. Last week four
• 7:19
Speaker 2: point seven fantasy points, his third straight game in single digits.
• 7:22
Speaker 2: He has not reached eleven in a game since Week eight,
• 7:26
Speaker 2: and Nick Mullens came in relief last week with Justin
• 7:29
Speaker 2: Jefferson not being out there. Through thirteen passes, one of
• 7:32
Speaker 2: them went Jordan Addison's way. So with the volume probably
• 7:36
Speaker 2: going to Jefferson and Hawkinson over him, I think it's
• 7:41
Speaker 2: too risky just get away. In the Fantasy playoffs, we
• 7:44
Speaker 2: got plenty to get into.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: Of course, we still have running backs and tight ends
• 7:47
Speaker 1: that we're going to dive into. Stick around, which is
• 7:49
Speaker 1: getting started here on the Stardum Seu Show, Week fifth,
• 8:00
Speaker 1: the team starts at running backs. Go.
• 8:02
Speaker 2: Joe Mixon is far too good to get away, even
• 8:04
Speaker 2: in a tough matchup. Same thing with James Cook, DeAndre Swift.
• 8:08
Speaker 2: We're gonna talk about him. Zach Moss gets too much volume.
• 8:10
Speaker 2: All of you guys are like, you keep telling me
• 8:12
Speaker 2: to start Zack Moss, and I'm gonna keep doing it
• 8:14
Speaker 2: as long as he's getting volume like he is. Same thing, wait,
• 8:17
Speaker 2: Ezekiel Elliot, the volume is far too good to sit.
• 8:20
Speaker 2: James Connor might sound a little spicy, will talk about it.
• 8:22
Speaker 2: The Gus buss has to be parked right now. I'm
• 8:25
Speaker 2: done trying to figure out which Texans running back in
• 8:27
Speaker 2: a given week might get the volume. And Zach Charbonney,
• 8:30
Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker is back, he is unusable for fantasy.
• 8:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, the Texans offense right now has sort of fallen apart.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: Injuries have really killed that group. Unfortunately, it's been frustrating
• 8:40
Speaker 1: to see. Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, DeAndre Swift, they're just weeks
• 8:45
Speaker 1: with it just seems like the Eagles forget that he's
• 8:46
Speaker 1: on the roster. But then he gets the ball and
• 8:48
Speaker 1: he starts producing really really well. Great matchup this week
• 8:51
  Speaker 1: against the Seahawks.
• 8:52
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing. The matchup could not be any better.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: And I think it was in like week ten or
• 8:57
Speaker 2: whatever on Fantasy Live I set to trade for Deandres
• 9:00
Speaker 2: because I think he could be a league winner. Then
• 9:01
Speaker 2: the last couple of weeks, people have been like, this
• 9:04
Speaker 2: is the guy that's gonna win us your league's thing?
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: It is.
• 9:08
Speaker 2: Since Week nine, the Seahawks have allowed the most rushing
• 9:10
Speaker 2: yards and touchdowns since week ten, two running backs. Since
• 9:13
Speaker 2: week ten, they've allowed the most receiving yards two running backs.
• 9:16
Speaker 2: So whether it's on the ground or through the air,
• 9:18
Speaker 2: I think DeAndre Swift can get it done. And they've
• 9:20
Speaker 2: been trailing by multiple scores each of their last two games.
• 9:24
Speaker 2: Now this is a week where they'll probably playing from ahead.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: We know they like to run the ball with DeAndre
• 9:28
Speaker 2: swift when they have a lead, and then look forward,
• 9:32
Speaker 2: the Giants and the Cardinals are who he finishes the
• 9:34
Speaker 2: fantasy playoffs with. You're starting him in both of those
• 9:37
Speaker 2: and he still can win a bunch of people fantasy championships.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: All right, So hopefully the Eagles decided they need to
• 9:44
Speaker 1: get back to the ground. I know it's fly, Eagles fly,
• 9:46
Speaker 1: but occasionally it can be run Eagles run. That can
• 9:48
Speaker 1: work sometimes too. Last time we saw James Connor back
• 9:53
Speaker 1: in Week thirteen before Arizona's by, I didn't like the
• 9:56
Speaker 1: matchup against the Steelers. I thought it was, you know,
• 9:58
Speaker 1: something worrisome. There are other guys taking opportunities. And then
• 10:01
Speaker 1: Connor goes out and has twenty five carries for a
• 10:03
Speaker 1: buco five and two touchdowns. Any chance he does that
• 10:07
Speaker 1: against the forty nine er Nope.
• 10:09
Speaker 2: Will the Cardinals be having a two score lead throughout
• 10:12
Speaker 2: the whole game this week?
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: Very doubtful.
• 10:14
Speaker 2: They're probably gonna be trailing by multiple scores this game,
• 10:17
Speaker 2: and that's what scares me. In their last five losses
• 10:22
Speaker 2: that James Connor has played in, he has been held
• 10:24
Speaker 2: to single digits, and all of them he has yet
• 10:27
Speaker 2: to reach twenty receiving yards in a game this season,
• 10:30
Speaker 2: so you can't bank on him being used heavily in
• 10:32
Speaker 2: the passing game when they are trailing and then the matchup.
• 10:36
Speaker 2: It's the hardest on paper. They've allowed the fewest rushing
• 10:40
Speaker 2: yards and the second fewest fantasy points per game to
• 10:43
Speaker 2: BAX this season. There's multiple like Michael Carter could get
• 10:46
Speaker 2: involved in the second half if they're trailing big. I
• 10:49
Speaker 2: know he was awesome last week. I'm just my one
• 10:52
Speaker 2: team where I have James Connor has a bye this week,
• 10:54
Speaker 2: and I'm so happy because I would have hated to
• 10:56
  Speaker 2: have to start.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: Him in this matchup. Yeah, it's just it's really hard
• 11:00
Speaker 1: to feel confident about it. He had fifty two rushing
• 11:02
Speaker 1: yards when these teams played back in Week four. Only
• 11:05
Speaker 1: two running backs have had more than sixty yards against
• 11:08
Speaker 1: the forty nine ers, and that came during the midst
• 11:09
Speaker 1: of their three game losing streak when the defense was
• 11:11
Speaker 1: kind of scrambling for answers a little bit. Let's get
• 11:15
Speaker 1: over to tight ends and look at some of the
• 11:17
Speaker 1: guys that are on your start sit list for Week fifteen.
• 11:20
Speaker 2: Who you got Trey McBride. I do not care about
• 11:23
Speaker 2: the matchup. He is a must play. Same thing with
• 11:26
Speaker 2: Evan Ingram. Tough matchup, you're still playing him. Isaiah Likely
• 11:30
Speaker 2: is awesome, as is David and Joku as of late,
• 11:33
Speaker 2: and then my sis Cole Comet spicy, but the matchup
• 11:36
Speaker 2: is really tough against the Browns. Pat Fryer Mooth is
• 11:39
Speaker 2: just unusable with Mitchrubisky right now, as are all of
• 11:42
Speaker 2: these Steelers pass catchers. Tanner Hudson's been playing hot, but
• 11:44
Speaker 2: the Vikings defense and Brian Flores is doing an amazing
• 11:48
Speaker 2: job as of late. And then Hunter Henry don't go
• 11:51
  Speaker 2: chasing last week.
• 11:52
Speaker 1: I mean, the Patriot's passing game has been really hard
• 11:55
Speaker 1: to figure out. Hunter Henry maybe more difficult than anybody
• 11:58
Speaker 1: else to really figure out there. But let's get back
• 12:00
Speaker 1: to Isaiah Likely. I think I saw a tweet that
• 12:04
Speaker 1: said he's basically ninety percent Mark Andrews, which, hey, look man,
• 12:07
Speaker 1: I will take ninety percent. Mark Andrews is better than
• 12:09
Speaker 1: most tight ends. They are just like floating around out
• 12:11
Speaker 1: there right now. So uh, the matchup's not bad. But
• 12:14
Speaker 1: even then, I just I still think you ride with Likely.
• 12:17
Speaker 2: I complete completely agree. We've seen two games now of
• 12:20
Speaker 2: Isaiah Likely. Without Mark Andrews in the first six targets
• 12:23
Speaker 2: eight fantasy points, in the second h seven targets eighty
• 12:27
Speaker 2: three yards, a touchdown, nineteen point three fantasy points, a
• 12:30
Speaker 2: floor and a ceiling. Most weeks will be somewhere in
• 12:32
Speaker 2: the middle. But if I told you you're a tight
• 12:34
Speaker 2: end gonna give you around eight Fantasy points in a
• 12:37
Speaker 2: one of his worst games and then gonna give you
• 12:39
Speaker 2: over twenty could approach twenty in a good game, You're
• 12:42
Speaker 2: gonna want to start that player. And we know that
• 12:44
Speaker 2: the tight end is such an important part of the
• 12:46
Speaker 2: Ravens passing attack. I think not only do you play
• 12:48
Speaker 2: likely this week, I think you could play him the
• 12:50
Speaker 2: rest of the way in the fantasy playoffs.
• 12:52
Speaker 1: I think absolutely The way he's gonna get volume means
• 12:55
Speaker 1: that he's gonna be a viable option. Weird against the Jaguars.
• 12:58
Speaker 1: I think there have been four tight ends that have
• 12:59
Speaker 1: had ninety or more yard than everybody else has been
• 13:02
Speaker 1: under forty. So it's either like it's either you go
• 13:04
Speaker 1: big or you do nothing at all against the Jaguars.
• 13:07
  Speaker 2: Please go big.
• 13:07
Speaker 1: I'm guessing he's gonna be closer to the high side
• 13:10
Speaker 1: of things. That's just my opinion about Isaiah Likely David
• 13:14
Speaker 1: and Joku had a big game last week. The Bears
• 13:17
Speaker 1: defense has been very, very good lately. But you still
• 13:19
Speaker 1: believe in Joku this week?
• 13:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, I just think he's been simply too good to
• 13:24
Speaker 2: get away from in fantasy football. Last week, two touchdowns,
• 13:28
Speaker 2: twenty seven fantasy points. That was a season high. He's
• 13:31
Speaker 2: not gonna give you that again this week. I'll just
• 13:32
Speaker 2: tell you that flat out, but double digit fantasy points
• 13:36
Speaker 2: in seven of his last eight games. He is someone
• 13:39
Speaker 2: that Joe Flacco, Joseph Vincent Flacco clearly has an eye
• 13:43
Speaker 2: for in the passing attack. So I think this is
• 13:46
Speaker 2: a week that you and the rest of the way
• 13:48
Speaker 2: he's just been far too productive to get away from right.
• 13:51
Speaker 1: Now, especially when like look, Elijah Moore has been up
• 13:53
Speaker 1: and down, Amari Cooper has dealt with some injuries, and
• 13:56
Speaker 1: Joku has been there and been consistent pretty much all
• 13:58
Speaker 1: year long. And I feel like we haven't enough about
• 14:01
Speaker 1: him the season he's having. It's kind of flown under
• 14:03
Speaker 1: the radar a little bit. You mentioned Hunter Henry not
• 14:05
Speaker 1: chasing the points. Look, the Patriots offense is already bad
• 14:10
Speaker 1: and now they have a Chiefs team that is angry.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: This just seems like a really bad combination.
• 14:14
Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelcey and co. Are gonna come
• 14:17
Speaker 2: out and drop like fifty points on this Patriots defense
• 14:20
Speaker 2: this week because they are upset and the Patriots they
• 14:24
Speaker 2: might not get many points themselves. Look two things in life.
• 14:27
Speaker 2: You don't go chasing waterfalls and touchdowns from tight end
• 14:31
Speaker 2: twos in fantasy football, and he had two touchdowns last week.
• 14:34
Speaker 2: The Chiefs have given up just three to tight ends
• 14:37
Speaker 2: this year, and they rank amongst the bottom six when
• 14:40
Speaker 2: it comes to yards allowed on the position and on
• 14:43
Speaker 2: the season, and since Week ten, so just all year long,
• 14:46
Speaker 2: they've been extremely stingy against tight ends. I know last
• 14:49
Speaker 2: week you were like, oh, Hunter Henry played really well.
• 14:51
Speaker 2: Maybe I want to start him in fantasy. No, don't
• 14:54
  Speaker 2: do it.
• 14:54
Speaker 1: If you are streaming tight ends, please stick to the
• 14:56
Speaker 1: rivers and the lakes that you're used to. Coming up,
• 14:59
Speaker 1: Lakwan stops by to help us make some tough decisions,
• 15:02
Speaker 1: plus taking a trip to Club dub We are joined
• 15:07
Speaker 1: now by researcher Extraordinary and the birthday boy Happy Belated
• 15:11
Speaker 1: to our man, Lakwan Jones Hey congratulations. Got a trip
• 15:14
Speaker 1: around the sun, sir R thirty two in my shack year.
• 15:17
Speaker 1: I gotta dominate next year. So there you go, rocking
• 15:20
Speaker 1: the shack. Yeah. Anyway, we're gonna talk about some tough
• 15:23
Speaker 1: decisions that folks might have in their fantasy lineups this
• 15:26
Speaker 1: week as the playoffs get underway. So LQ, you are
• 15:29
  Speaker 1: up first.
• 15:30
  Speaker 2: Man.
• 15:30
Speaker 3: Look, it's nasty in these fantasy streets right now, especially
• 15:33
Speaker 3: at the quarterback position.
• 15:34
Speaker 1: But Samhow he's a top ten fantasy quarterback.
• 15:37
Speaker 3: Right now, and you gotta kind of lean on guys
• 15:39
Speaker 3: that have upside like his ability to extend the play
• 15:43
Speaker 3: with his rushing upside. He's a very good runner, efficient
• 15:46
Speaker 3: runner six point one yards per carry, that's the best
• 15:48
Speaker 3: among the quarterbacks. But I'm not quite sure if quarterbacks
• 15:51
Speaker 3: aren't afraid to run against the Rams, or to mixture
• 15:54
Speaker 3: between Aaron Donald blowing up the old line Byron Young
• 15:57
Speaker 3: getting pressure. But the Rams are allowing the second most
• 16:00
Speaker 3: rushing attenth for quarterbacks, and I think I could play
• 16:02
Speaker 3: into Sam How's favor to get out of the pocket
• 16:05
Speaker 3: get the extra yardage. I mean, being a good runner
• 16:08
Speaker 3: is gonna have to happen for him, because like this
• 16:11
Speaker 3: old line is not protecting him whatsoever. But I think
• 16:14
Speaker 3: Sam how could surprise a few folks and kind of
• 16:17
Speaker 3: do or die situations here where he can put up
• 16:20
Speaker 3: some points and you could be okay with him.
• 16:21
Speaker 1: It's been wild to think that he has been a quarterback.
• 16:24
Speaker 1: We could lean on that he's top five in passing yards,
• 16:27
Speaker 1: and yet we can't trust any of his past can
• 16:29
Speaker 1: in this offense. That's been really, really frustrating, Florida. What
• 16:33
Speaker 1: tough decision are you looking at?
• 16:35
Speaker 2: I've been going back and forth all week on if
• 16:37
Speaker 2: I should play Noah Brown or not this week, and
• 16:41
Speaker 2: look there some help. We found out on Friday that
• 16:44
Speaker 2: it doesn't look like c J. Stroud is gonna play.
• 16:46
Speaker 2: So without c J. Stroud, I think you can go
• 16:48
Speaker 2: ahead and get Noah Brown out of your starting lineup.
• 16:51
Speaker 2: But it's hard because the Tennessee Titans have struggled against
• 16:55
Speaker 2: wide receivers this year, they've struggled against the deep ball
• 16:58
Speaker 2: this year, and Nico Collins isn't playing. So even with
• 17:01
Speaker 2: Davis Mills, I'm sure you're thinking, like, good matchup, lots
• 17:04
Speaker 2: of volume. He is the deep threat for the Houston Texans.
• 17:08
Speaker 2: Very boom er bust. But what I keep saying is
• 17:10
Speaker 2: in the fantasy playoffs, Like, if this was Week eight,
• 17:13
Speaker 2: I'd probably take a shot on Noah Brown, But in
• 17:15
  Speaker 2: the fantasy playoffs, I can't risk a zero. So I've
• 17:18
Speaker 2: been going back and forth on it all week, but
• 17:20
Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna sit him.
• 17:21
Speaker 1: I mean, it's just everything fell apart really quickly for
• 17:24
Speaker 1: the Texans. Right Tank Dell breaks his leg, Nico Collins
• 17:28
Speaker 1: dealing with a calf injury, CJ Stroud with the concussion,
• 17:30
Speaker 1: Dalton Schultz has been banged up. It just has all
• 17:33
Speaker 1: gone south in a really short amount of time, in
• 17:36
Speaker 1: a hurry, speaking of guys being banged up, leaning to
• 17:38
Speaker 1: tough decisions to a tongue of I looa this week
• 17:41
Speaker 1: going against the New York Jets, and for the good
• 17:44
Speaker 1: part of the season we were able to sort of
• 17:47
Speaker 1: rely on Tua, and then we saw last week how
• 17:49
Speaker 1: much exactly Tyreek Hill means to that offense. When Tyreek
• 17:54
Speaker 1: got hurt, had to go out of the game for
• 17:55
Speaker 1: a little bit, the Dolphins just could not move the football.
• 18:00
Speaker 1: Tyreek was able to come back a little bit and
• 18:02
Speaker 1: it sort of got better, but you started to see
• 18:04
Speaker 1: Tua he gets off platform, gets a little bit off schedule,
• 18:07
Speaker 1: he gets some pressure in his face, and it was
• 18:09
Speaker 1: rough out there. Now he's got the Jets, who have
• 18:12
Speaker 1: been fairly soft against the run, very good against the pass.
• 18:15
Speaker 1: This could turn into a game where the Dolphins decide
• 18:18
Speaker 1: they just want to get Rahiem Moster Devon a Chan
• 18:20
Speaker 1: all their running backs sort of involved and maybe not
• 18:22
Speaker 1: put too much on Tua. Makes me very nervous. I
• 18:25
Speaker 1: think the upside is if you drafted Tua, you probably
• 18:27
Speaker 1: also drafted another quarterback along the way. But I have
• 18:31
Speaker 1: concerns about me too. Team all right, Laquan's go back
• 18:36
Speaker 1: around one more again. Who else are you worried about?
• 18:39
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm worried about Joe Mixon because of the matchup,
• 18:41
Speaker 3: Like he's been untrustworthy at times during the season, but
• 18:44
Speaker 3: he has been red hot. But this Vikings defense, they're
• 18:47
Speaker 3: alone on the fifth He is rushing yards per game.
• 18:49
Speaker 3: But I think you can trust Joe Mixon this week, man,
• 18:52
Speaker 3: because a lot of people are thinking to swap him
• 18:54
Speaker 3: in and out of the starting lineups. But the last
• 18:56
Speaker 3: four games he's been averaging twenty fantasy points per game,
• 18:59
Speaker 3: one touchdown in six of his last seven games. I
• 19:02
Speaker 3: feel like this is normal behavior. The ups and downs
• 19:04
Speaker 3: are Joe Mixon, so a lot of people could be
• 19:06
Speaker 3: worried about him. But the last two seasons, he's averaged
• 19:09
Speaker 3: fifteen Fantasy points per game in the last four games
• 19:12
Speaker 3: of the season, So mixing does bring PPR upside, which
• 19:15
Speaker 3: Jamar Chase kind of banged up as well, but he's
• 19:18
Speaker 3: actually averaging more targets per game with Jake Browning versus
• 19:21
Speaker 3: Joe Burrow at quarterback. So hopefully mixing can bring it
• 19:24
Speaker 3: home and I can lie on because I'm one of
• 19:26
Speaker 3: those guys that are worried.
• 19:28
Speaker 1: This is when we get the classic Joe Mixon forty
• 19:31
Speaker 1: point game, hopefully sort out of nowhere. We need it
• 19:34
Speaker 1: so many people need it out of nowhere because we
• 19:37
Speaker 1: haven't had one of those yets. So maybe it happens
• 19:39
Speaker 1: this week against Minnesota Florida. Who else do you have
• 19:42
  Speaker 1: concerns about?
• 19:43
  Speaker 2: L Q said he's worried about Sam how I'm worried
• 19:46
Speaker 2: about his top wide receiver or what should be his
• 19:49
Speaker 2: top wide receiver in Terry McLaurin. The last time we
• 19:52
Speaker 2: saw Terry McLaurin, he gave you the same amount of
• 19:55
Speaker 2: fantasy points. As everyone's sitting in this room right now,
• 19:58
Speaker 2: he's three targets, no catches. And then after the game
• 20:00
Speaker 2: he was like, yeah, I got my steps in today
• 20:03
Speaker 2: and we joke about the cardio king of the week.
• 20:05
Speaker 2: He really was living that life. But I've been going
• 20:09
Speaker 2: back and forth all week. The optimism in me is
• 20:12
Speaker 2: going to win out because my hope is that it's
• 20:14
Speaker 2: a squeaky wheel game. Eric Banemy and co. Have had
• 20:17
Speaker 2: two weeks now to draw up plays on how to
• 20:18
Speaker 2: get their best playmaker the ball in what I think
• 20:21
Speaker 2: will be a game with a lot of points scored
• 20:23
Speaker 2: and they will be chasing points. So it's sad that
• 20:26
Speaker 2: even with the quarterback in the top five and passing yards,
• 20:28
Speaker 2: like Marcus was saying, he's been a boomer bus wide
• 20:30
Speaker 2: receiver three at best. But come on, Terry, we need
• 20:34
Speaker 2: you now more than ever.
• 20:35
Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't score any fantasy points last week,
• 20:37
Speaker 1: but in my defense, I have bad hands and I
• 20:38
Speaker 1: make up for it with a lack of separation. So
• 20:42
Speaker 1: that's my story and I'm sticking to it for me.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: The other guy I have questions about this week, and
• 20:47
Speaker 1: it's another quarterback. It's Trevor Lawrence going against the Baltimore
• 20:50
Speaker 1: Ravens and Lawrence dealing still with that ankle injury. It
• 20:54
Speaker 1: was good to see him back out on the field,
• 20:55
Speaker 1: but he really hasn't been all that great. The ceiling
• 20:58
Speaker 1: has been rather low for him over the last few weeks.
• 21:01
Speaker 1: It's been a Watston. He scored twenty fantasy points in
• 21:03
Speaker 1: a game, and he's got this tough defense to deal
• 21:06
Speaker 1: with this week. I just really am worried. Not that
• 21:10
Speaker 1: he's got to come throw a complete dud out there, right,
• 21:13
Speaker 1: He's not going to give you single digits, I don't believe.
• 21:15
Speaker 1: But my fear is that he gives you fourteen fifteen
• 21:18
Speaker 1: and leaves you really needing to fill in the gap
• 21:21
Speaker 1: somewhere else on your fantasy rosters. So I know, for
• 21:24
Speaker 1: the Jaguars, they got to keep winning. They got to
• 21:26
Speaker 1: try and lock up the AFC South and make sure
• 21:28
Speaker 1: they get a good playoff spot. So that's why Trevor
• 21:30
Speaker 1: Lawrence is out there. But I just am not really
• 21:33
Speaker 1: excited about the matchup at all this week. I mean, okay,
• 21:37
Speaker 1: did we overrate Trevor Lawrence this year?
• 21:39
Speaker 3: I mean he needs Christian Kirk. I mean, ever since
• 21:41
Speaker 3: the injury I feel like everything just went downhill for
• 21:44
Speaker 3: him because Trevor Lawrence likes to favor the slot position
• 21:47
Speaker 3: if it's Evan Ingram or for Christian Kirk. Without that
• 21:50
Speaker 3: guy with the separation that he's able to get, I
• 21:53
  Speaker 3: think Trevor Lawrence.
• 21:54
Speaker 1: Is going to be hurt. Yeah, well, Evan Linger. Evan
• 21:56
Speaker 1: Ingram has certainly stepped up, went from scoring no touchdowns
• 21:59
Speaker 1: to scoring all of the time touchdowns. He's a costco player.
• 22:02
Speaker 1: He buys in bulk. All right, it's time now for
• 22:06
Speaker 1: Club dub. He's the guys we guarantee will score you
• 22:09
Speaker 1: at least twenty five fantasy points this week.
• 22:12
Speaker 3: Man, I feel like Arthur Smith is trying to get
• 22:14
Speaker 3: on the fantasy community's good side because we're finally getting
• 22:17
Speaker 3: b John Robinson unlocked.
• 22:19
  Speaker 2: Man.
• 22:19
Speaker 3: I mean, the last four games he's been a top
• 22:21
Speaker 3: five running back. So with this matchup, it's really juicy
• 22:24
Speaker 3: man against this Panthers defense. They're allowing the most rushing
• 22:28
Speaker 3: touchdowns to running backs this season, so that's always good
• 22:31
Speaker 3: to get these layup little matchups in the first round.
• 22:34
Speaker 3: So I really love him this week, and we're finally
• 22:37
Speaker 3: seeing him being utilized more in the red zone and
• 22:40
Speaker 3: in the goal line. Since Week ten, he's been leading
• 22:42
Speaker 3: in those categories, so he topped twenty five points one
• 22:45
Speaker 3: time this season. I'm gonna say this is going to
• 22:47
Speaker 3: be his best game this season.
• 22:49
Speaker 1: I mean, I think we finally wore Arthur Smith down,
• 22:51
Speaker 1: b John Robinson getting involved, Drake London having big plays.
• 22:54
Speaker 1: Now we just unlock Kyle Pitts. That would be great, Florida.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: Who's piling it up for you?
• 22:59
Speaker 2: This man right here, we could ask him himself, Cooper,
• 23:02
Speaker 2: are you gonna get twenty five this week? Yeah? Look, look,
• 23:06
Speaker 2: Cooper Cup looks like Cooper Cup again, and that's what
• 23:09
Speaker 2: we want this time of year. We know when he
• 23:12
Speaker 2: is healthy, he is arguably the best wide receiver in
• 23:15
Speaker 2: fantasy football. He looked like himself last week catching touchdowns
• 23:18
Speaker 2: now and two straight he's winning downfield again. Oh and
• 23:21
Speaker 2: the Commanders, they have allowed unlimited amount of points to
• 23:25
Speaker 2: wide receivers this year. They are the best matchup for wideouts.
• 23:28
Speaker 2: I think him Pooka Stafford, they are all going to
• 23:32
Speaker 2: eat this week. All three of them might approach twenty five.
• 23:35
Speaker 1: Fantas dude, I love the Marcus Robinson as a sleeper
• 23:38
Speaker 1: this week. I think the Rams offense gonna go off
• 23:41
Speaker 1: against a bad Commanders defense. As for me, my guys,
• 23:45
Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley this week going against the New Orleans Saints.
• 23:48
Speaker 1: The Saints have been very soft against the run the
• 23:51
Speaker 1: last few weeks, but on top of it, Saquon is
• 23:53
Speaker 1: just thriving. I know the story has been Tommy DeVito
• 23:57
Speaker 1: and what he's doing a quarterback, but let's not overlook
• 24:00
Speaker 1: the contributions of Saquon Barkley. He is getting volume. He
• 24:03
Speaker 1: has been incredibly efficient with his touches. They are using
• 24:06
Speaker 1: him as a pass catcher. He is getting all the
• 24:08
Speaker 1: work that we hoped he would and is actually doing
• 24:11
Speaker 1: fairly well with it. The only downside is at the
• 24:13
Speaker 1: Giants still not a high scoring offense, so that sort
• 24:16
Speaker 1: of puts a cap on his fantasy production overall. But
• 24:19
Speaker 1: I think this week against a struggling Saints defense, Saquon
• 24:22
Speaker 1: looks like the Saquon that you probably drafted, say in
• 24:24
Speaker 1: the second round or somewhere like that. So it should
• 24:28
Speaker 1: be interesting. By the way, In case you haven't heard,
• 24:31
Speaker 1: three games on NFL Network this weekend, a triple header.
• 24:35
Speaker 1: It starts with Vikings and the Bengals we've got the
• 24:38
Speaker 1: Steelers and the Colts in the nightcap, Broncos and the Lions.
• 24:42
Speaker 1: It all kicks off at one pm Eastern, so you
• 24:44
Speaker 1: can check that out on NFL Network or stream it
• 24:46
Speaker 1: on NFL Plus. You can follow us, as the sign said,
• 24:50
Speaker 1: down there at NFL Fantasy, on Twitter, Instagram, all the
• 24:53
Speaker 1: social media is. We might even be on the Tiki Talk.
• 24:57
Speaker 1: I'm not so sure about that, but anyway, I do
• 25:00
Speaker 1: it for this edition of The Startum sent him a
• 25:01
Speaker 1: show for the Kwan Jones for Michael le f Floyo,
• 25:03
Speaker 1: I have Marcus Grant. Thank you for watching. Good luck
• 25:06
Speaker 1: to you if you're still in the fantasy playoffs, and
• 25:08
Speaker 1: we'll talk to you again.
• 25:09
  Speaker 2: We'll soon
