- 0:27My name is Jesse. And welcome to another episode
- 0:29folks. This week we are doing our
- 0:32Patreon voted episode, which this month the people voted for.
- 0:36Happy Death Day. Welcome to What's Your least
- 0:39favorite scary Movie? The podcast where we talk about
- 0:42the good, the bad, the ugly and the absurd, and all of our
- 0:45favorite and least favorite scary movies.
- 0:47Because we believe every horror movie rightfully has its fan
- 0:50base, even if we don't always get it.
- 0:52My name is Travis. My name is Jesse.
- 0:54And welcome to another episode folks, because today we're
- 0:57talking our Patreon voted episode, which.
- 1:00Was Happy Death Day. So that's you're unfamiliar with
- 1:03Happy Death Day. It is a time loop movie, yeah.
- 1:07That was weird. Jesse just pointed at me and
- 1:09then I just was like, go with it, just go with it.
- 1:12I got the idea in the moment, yeah.
- 1:15That was pretty good. Okay.
- 1:16Cool. All right.
- 1:17So yeah, we're talking about Happy Death Day, which is a
- 1:20like, Jesse said movie. That's about a lot of repeat, so
- 1:25maybe there's about a lot of repeat.
- 1:29It's also for our comedy, so I hope you guys are already
- 1:32laughing at us here with our Dicks in our hands, struggling
- 1:40to get the flow right. It's all good.
- 1:43Cool. Do you have anything you want to
- 1:45announce before we get into it? Patrons of the budget tier
- 1:49level, we will have our bonus episode out sometime between
- 1:54today and Saturday. Yeah.
- 1:56So trying to trying to pin down exactly what we're doing, we
- 2:00kind of we're. Tossing out ideas.
- 2:04Yeah, we're tossing out ideas right now.
- 2:06So we'll have it. That will be out soon this
- 2:08weekend, so keep a look out for that.
- 2:12Also keep a look out for the link to vote for October's
- 2:16maybe. That's right, we're doing
- 2:19something. Different with that one because
- 2:22October is all about movies that we haven't seen or we're showing
- 2:26each other movies that the other hasn't seen.
- 2:28Yes. And then our Halloween movie
- 2:30will be a movie that neither of us have seen.
- 2:33Yes. But we wanted the vote to be you
- 2:36guys actually choose a Halloween theme movie and that's gonna be
- 2:41one of the Halloween theme movies that we cover this month.
- 2:44Yes. So we'll have those options up
- 2:46on the Patreon. If they're not up already, then
- 2:50they'll be up today. Yeah, since we got gotta get
- 2:54that scheduled together. Check it right now.
- 2:56It's October this weekend, people, which means it's
- 2:59officially the best time of the year.
- 3:01Hell. Yeah.
- 3:02OK. Well, it's really hoping you
- 3:04would do that with me. The best time of the year, We
- 3:07just watched that. Well, we weren't talking about
- 3:09Halloween. OK, let's go.
- 3:12All right. So I got our poll results, OK.
- 3:14We were talking about saw two US.
- 3:17Yeah, we were. So rules for that one right
- 3:21there. Oliver.
- 3:22Polls for the saw movies are which trap do you think you
- 3:24could survive. Yep.
- 3:25So out of the traps, we chose death mask, the furnace, the
- 3:32needle pit, and talking the jigsaw for two hours.
- 3:35Okay. So I've got the results for that
- 3:38on Instagram. Nobody survives death mask.
- 3:41Okay. 18% survive the furnace, 12% survive the needle pit. 71%
- 3:49survived talking the jigsaw for two hours.
- 3:51Meanwhile, over at Twitter, nobody survives the death mask,
- 3:5611% survived the furnace, 22% survived the needle pit, and 67%
- 4:02survived talking the jigsaw. Now, I know that talking the
- 4:06jigsaw sounds like it'd be an easy thing to accomplish, but we
- 4:10talked about it and he's kind of obnoxious and.
- 4:14You got to consider you got a loved one being held hostage and
- 4:18he's not really wanting to talk to you about it.
- 4:20It's going to be frustrating to sit there for two hours.
- 4:23However, I do think I was swayed by Tyler's response where he is
- 4:28just going to hit the shade button from Ru Paul's Drag Race.
- 4:33Yeah, I I like that. I could have fun with that.
- 4:36We, we actually had a lot of, like, writeins for like how that
- 4:40they would, yeah, do it. And yeah, that was one of them.
- 4:43Y'all are some tricky, Mink says.
- 4:44I'm impressed. Tucker said that he would.
- 4:48I'd take the needle pit before having to deal with Cramer's
- 4:50sanctimonious bullshit. So you know what?
- 4:55I absolutely understand that. And Joe?
- 4:59Freak Tron, as is his name. He said that he would do the
- 5:02furnace because he would just take one of them.
- 5:06And no, actually, he said he's gonna look at the chain and he's
- 5:09not gonna just pull it. He's gonna like, untie it that
- 5:12way. It doesn't lock him in.
- 5:13I mean, that pretty much is what they do to get out of the little
- 5:17shotgun one in Part 3. Exactly.
- 5:20Yeah. The Stinky Pig Guts, McGee
- 5:23Judge. I thought that that was going to
- 5:25be the name of the trap. Stinky Pig Guts McGee.
- 5:28Well, that's the name of his trap.
- 5:30OK, yeah. So, you know, there's a lot of
- 5:32ways you could do that. I would do the the conversation
- 5:39I and you know what? When I was editing the episode,
- 5:43you never said which one you would survive.
- 5:46I thought I said that I would probably do the McDonald's Cup
- 5:51one because I would actually follow instructions that
- 5:54actually listened to the instructions.
- 5:56I do remember that now. Yeah.
- 5:57OK, so that one wasn't an option, I know.
- 6:01Well, that's why I just said I would do the conversation with
- 6:04the shade button. Oh, right, right.
- 6:07OK, OK, so that's your polls. So let's talk about Happy Death
- 6:10Day. Yay.
- 6:11All right, everybody. So Happy Death Day released
- 6:15October 13th, 2017. It's almost happy Death Day's
- 6:19happy birthday I. Know, Right.
- 6:21It's so crazy to me that this came out.
- 6:24What is it going to be 6 years ago?
- 6:27Yeah, it feels so much more. Recent.
- 6:30Yeah, right. I think of things that came out
- 6:32in 2019. I'm like, that happened
- 6:34yesterday. But yeah, and 2017 is kind of
- 6:38like that too. It's just crazy.
- 6:39Time's escaping it. We watched it on our Blu-ray.
- 6:43You can watch it as of September 24th.
- 6:47Nowhere to stream, but if you would like to rent it, you can
- 6:50rent it on YouTube, Google Voodoo, Redbox, or Amazon Prime.
- 6:55Yes Movie was written by Scott Lobdell, directed by Christopher
- 7:00Landon, music by Bear McCreary, and special effects makeup done
- 7:04by Tom Wiseman, Matt Kutcher, Zack Knight, Justin Johnson,
- 7:09Elias du Jr. and Troy Collins Jr.
- 7:15All right, cast. Jessica Roth stars as Trey
- 7:18Gelpman, Israel Brossard plays Carter Davis, Ruby Modine plays
- 7:25Lori Spingler, Charles Aitken plays Gregory Butler, Rachel
- 7:29Matthews plays Danielle Bowsman, and Rob Mello plays John Tunes.
- 7:33All right. All right, time to play our
- 7:36favorite game Budget or butter? What do you think?
- 7:43This is Blum House, right? Yeah, Bug Ted.
- 7:46Yeah. It's almost cheating when you
- 7:48know I'm going to start masking whether or not it's Blum House
- 7:52or not, unless it's like a big one like Halloween or something.
- 7:55Because I already knew it was Blum House, though.
- 7:57OK, whatever. So yeah, Bum house.
- 7:59Notorious for being cheat bastards.
- 8:02They have a budget. Jason Blum figured out the
- 8:06formula. It's a very simple formula,
- 8:08people. A very simple formula.
- 8:09You're right. I mean, it works he.
- 8:12He lets people do what they want to do.
- 8:14Yeah, he's like, go be creative. You get this much of a budget.
- 8:17If I like you and you make money, you can do it again.
- 8:20With more money, yeah, maybe, maybe, maybe.
- 8:23This is not good ahead of ourselves here.
- 8:26So yeah, the budget for this is 4.8 million.
- 8:30They had an opening box office of 26,000,000 and a worldwide
- 8:34gross of 125.5 million. Nice IMDb score 6.6 OK.
- 8:42All right, so I've got 3 movies that also released in 2017 to
- 8:46compare it to. OK, And the theme since Happy
- 8:49Death Day is a PG13 horror, is PG13 horror movies that released
- 8:53in 2017 OK, no. But there's like one point right
- 8:58before the car explodes and she says, oh fuck.
- 9:01And I was like, that feels like a very purposeful we get one
- 9:04fuck. And then I went through this
- 9:05whole spiral in my head. Is this PG13?
- 9:08Yeah. Is this PG13OK?
- 9:10There was. The original draft was more
- 9:13gory, more R rated, but they ended up getting it toned down.
- 9:18OK, so yeah, we ended up with this.
- 9:20So yeah, I've got three other PG13 movies to compare it to
- 9:24here. All right, first movie The.
- 9:26Papa Mia the. Papa Mia.
- 9:29Don't think it. Don't see it.
- 9:30Don't think it. Don't see it.
- 9:31That was one of those January releases because we saw it on my
- 9:33birthday that year. Yeah, well, almost your
- 9:35birthday. Well, it might have been your
- 9:37birthday because it released. January 13th, 2017 so we could
- 9:41have done an early release. Had a budget of 7.4 million
- 9:46worldwide Gross 29.8 million IMDb 4.30 no.
- 9:53I know people shit on that movie, but I think it was
- 9:55exactly what I wanted it to be. I didn't want anything serious.
- 9:58I mean, it's called the fucking Bye bye, man.
- 10:01Yeah, so I went in expecting stupid.
- 10:04Bye bye man. Horror.
- 10:05And that's exactly what I got. I also appreciate the fact that
- 10:08they threw in a song from all that jazz in there, so I don't
- 10:12feel like there's enough love for all that jazz.
- 10:13What the fuck is all that jazz musical?
- 10:15Oh, OK, that must have really stuck with you if you're
- 10:18remembering. Yeah, you've only watched it
- 10:20that one time. Yeah, it's whenever, like he's
- 10:24nearby and that plays that goodbye life.
- 10:28You're making it makes it sound like anytime he is near like you
- 10:31can hear like I think like slowly gets louder cuz he's
- 10:35getting quick. I think of it more as like a
- 10:38final destination premonition music.
- 10:40OK. Yeah, he's like John Denver.
- 10:41OK, yeah, I like that idea. All right. 2nd movie rings with
- 10:48an S OK or otherwise known as Ring 3HM So.
- 10:57That release February 3rd, 2017 Budget 25,000,000 Worldwide
- 11:02gross 83,000,000 IMDb score 4.5. I just feel like if you live in
- 11:07a post alien franchise world that you need to not fuck with
- 11:13the naming schema. You know what I mean?
- 11:15Like if you're going to call it Rings, clearly that should be
- 11:18Part 2. Yeah, but Part 2 is just the
- 11:21ring two. I've not seen either of the
- 11:23sequels. Who the fuck dropped the ball
- 11:25here? I need to talk to some people.
- 11:28I remember reading about this because I was really excited
- 11:30when it got announced and I think it kind of got stuck in
- 11:34like production hell for a minute and then it kind of just
- 11:38got dropped, if I remember correctly.
- 11:40But then again, it did well. So I don't know, They might
- 11:43have. I can't remember, honestly, OK.
- 11:46All right. And the final movie, Wish Upon,
- 11:50we also saw that one in theaters.
- 11:52We did, yes, this right up my alley.
- 11:55Released July 14th, 2017 with a budget of $12 million, worldwide
- 12:00gross 23.4 million and an IMDb score of 5.1.
- 12:06OK, yeah, that's what I'm hearing is that Happy Death Day
- 12:08kicked some ass in 2017. Hell yeah, in terms of PG13
- 12:12horror. Yeah, it it beat all of these by
- 12:15a pretty big margin in fact. Well, no, OK.
- 12:17It didn't make as much as all. It made it almost as much as all
- 12:21of these combined. Yeah, which is pretty solid on a
- 12:23lower budget than all of them. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 12:26Yeah. All of them are budget tier.
- 12:29None of them are like in the Buck Ted zone.
- 12:31I thought you said bye bye man was 7 million.
- 12:34Oh shit, you're right, 7.4 whoops, I misread that.
- 12:36OK, yeah, so bye bye. Man was bucked at, but the rest
- 12:38of them budget OK. I've got a decent amount of
- 12:43taglines here. OK, OK, I'm ready.
- 12:45All right, so the one that's on the poster Get up.
- 12:49Live your day. Get killed again, OK, it's like
- 12:54the world's worst checklist. Yeah, I'm not a big fan.
- 12:59Yeah, I like. I like the second one a little
- 13:03bit better. It's make every death count.
- 13:07You know what? I like that, Yeah.
- 13:09It's motivational. It's inspirational and it and
- 13:13it's part of the story. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:15Make every death count. I like it all up.
- 13:16All right, Next up, Worst birthday ever.
- 13:21Yeah, that's. Yeah, that's just like the
- 13:23lowest hanging fruit. Yeah.
- 13:25That's like our fucking plumdry in the backyard where you can
- 13:28just like there's the fruit that's that that's that tagline.
- 13:32Yeah. I mean, it's like the comic book
- 13:33guy from The Simpsons. Yeah, exactly. 1st birthday
- 13:39ever. This one.
- 13:41Unlimited amount of lives, Unlimited amount of chances to
- 13:44find the killer. It's OK, but it sounds like the
- 13:49tagline for, like, a Christopher Pike novel.
- 13:53I don't know who that is, but I agree.
- 13:58Next Die, Repeat. I think that that's a play on
- 14:02the Edge of Tomorrow, which was Live, Die, repeat, OK?
- 14:06And everybody loved that, and to the point where everybody calls
- 14:09that movie Live, Die, Repeat instead of Edge of Tomorrow.
- 14:11I knew none of this. OK, so that's what I think it
- 14:14is. I think it's just die.
- 14:15Repeat. OK, yeah, I could be wrong.
- 14:18Next up, How will you die? 17 different ways?
- 14:23Yeah, there's no one, according to this movie.
- 14:26And the final one, find your killer or die trying.
- 14:30Find your killer and die trying. Yeah, that would actually be,
- 14:34you know, I just punched that up.
- 14:36I just made it a little bit better.
- 14:38That could be our tagline. We'll see.
- 14:41We'll see. We might have something else in
- 14:43the story. All right, okay.
- 14:45So on to fun facts. The movie was originally called
- 14:48Half to Death What? That's what it was called half
- 14:53to. Death Half to death.
- 14:54It was written by Scott Lobdell, who so like scared half to
- 14:58death. I guess, I don't know.
- 15:02I I honestly don't know. I couldn't tell you the guy.
- 15:04By the way, the writer is Scott Lobdell.
- 15:07He's like a big comic book writer.
- 15:09So it's kind of. Like a cool thing for him to
- 15:11just branch over. So he wrote this and they hired
- 15:14Landon to do a read write. And then Landon took that
- 15:19rewrite and sent it to Jason Blum, who he had a work
- 15:23relationship with because he worked on a shit tone of
- 15:27Paranormal Activity movies. I had no idea he was involved in
- 15:29like all of them except for the first one.
- 15:32But he's like written almost every single one of them now.
- 15:34Yeah, I I really like Christopher Landon.
- 15:37And if anybody was gonna take over for screen seven, I'm glad
- 15:40it's him. I am absolutely on board with
- 15:42that too. So yeah, you send it over to
- 15:45Jason Blom, who greenlit it, and then they got it going.
- 15:49You'll like this. Jessica Roth describes this
- 15:51movie as Groundhog's Day meets Scream Queens.
- 15:54Yes. Yes.
- 15:57Which scream Queens? Jesse has finally got me
- 15:59watching, and now we are. Like, almost done with season
- 16:03one? Yeah, I'm hoping that we can get
- 16:05through season one and two in time for that to maybe be our
- 16:07October Patreon bonus episode. That could be fun.
- 16:11I do a rewatch every Halloween. And I told Travis was like,
- 16:14look, if you want to watch this, I will watch it with you.
- 16:17But it has to be done before Halloween.
- 16:20That's that's how I do it so. Yeah.
- 16:23Well, yeah. So we've been on a crunch and I
- 16:25can kind of see the comparisons. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 16:27Pretty accurate. I also like that Jessica Roth is
- 16:31a fan of Scream Queens though. Yeah, which was like, why are
- 16:33you not in the show then, right? If they came back for a season
- 16:38three, I could totally see her reaching out to Ryan Murphy and
- 16:41being like, hey. I could see it too, yeah.
- 16:44So to make each day feel different, there was a challenge
- 16:47because, you know, they're shooting the same stuff every
- 16:49single time. But the way that they went about
- 16:52doing that, they changed how the camera worked the entire time.
- 16:56So whenever she first starts her loops, the camera is all steady,
- 17:00everything's fine. But then as the movie goes on,
- 17:03it gets a little bit more shaky and frantic.
- 17:06All right, Do you know what order they shot stuff in like?
- 17:09Because it seems like it would make sense just from like a
- 17:13budgeting and scheduling perspective, to do all of the
- 17:16quad scenes on a single day and all of that and.
- 17:19So I got that as the next point okay.
- 17:23So the way that they would do it, they would shoot at one
- 17:26angle and then run through the different days all at once.
- 17:29OK, so they would like keep the camera there.
- 17:31And then when I was watching the special features, it was showing
- 17:34whenever she would walk into her room and Laurie would be like
- 17:37somebody just rolled in or just rolled in or she finally rolls.
- 17:42She finally rolls in. Yeah, And then it was just like
- 17:45her, like saying that over and over again.
- 17:47But like, you have to know that you're in a different day each
- 17:50time, so you have to, like, do a different delivery.
- 17:52And it would be jumping back and forth to different days just so
- 17:54I get different shots of it. Yeah.
- 17:56I was just thinking about how, like, impressive it is, both
- 17:59from Jessica Roth's perspective to be able to channel those
- 18:03different emotions each. Yeah, time.
- 18:06But also like Carter and Danielle and Laurie and the cute
- 18:11little Vietnamese sister at the front of the house.
- 18:14Like, they all have to act like it's the same thing every single
- 18:16time. They basically have to be
- 18:18consistent with theirs. Yeah, they have to be like
- 18:21running on every single time. That one is kind of tough, yeah.
- 18:25That's a lot of moving pieces to have to try and coordinate and
- 18:27keep track of. Yeah.
- 18:29So when they were designing the killer, they wanted the mask to
- 18:34be plausible, A realistic type of mascot that they would have
- 18:38what? Shut the fuck up.
- 18:40They think that that that baby, that fucking baby is realistic.
- 18:44Yeah, so I also think it's really fucking stupid.
- 18:47Is Christopher Landon a Valentine's Day fan?
- 18:50I could see it or Valentine. It's a very Cherubesque.
- 18:53Yeah, baby face, but worse. Yeah, with, like the little,
- 18:56like, yeah, Beaver teeth. Yeah, so.
- 19:00And you know what? That mask designed by Tony
- 19:04Gardner. Do you know who?
- 19:06Tony Gardner? Ohh.
- 19:07Fuck no, no no. I know the name.
- 19:09Shit. High profile mask is in this
- 19:14room. Is it the Scream?
- 19:18Is it the ghost? Face.
- 19:18It's the Ghost Face Mask. He designed the Ghost Face Mask.
- 19:21I was gonna say it. That's probably why I know it,
- 19:23cuz I wrote down all that information for Scream.
- 19:26Yeah, when you're covering it. So yeah, they did that.
- 19:30Okay. So when they were reviewing the
- 19:32suspects on the special features, Christopher Landon was
- 19:35talking about them. I don't know if this is
- 19:37something that was in the movie. I didn't catch it, but he
- 19:40revealed that so. The tree has a history of
- 19:43stealing a lot of guys from Danielle, which is why that
- 19:46there is tension between them. I don't think that that was ever
- 19:48said outright in the movie, but that's why she was one of the
- 19:51main suspects listed. It's kind of hinted because
- 19:55after the like her first birthday, Lori tells her that
- 20:01she rammed her tongue down Nick's throat and later at the
- 20:06party on her. 2nd birthday Danielle's like, I can't believe
- 20:11you're doing this to me again, so it's there.
- 20:14Okay, it's hinted at. Okay.
- 20:16So I didn't catch that, but I thought that that was like a
- 20:18nice detail that I haven't confirmed.
- 20:20And also, Laurie was also having an affair with Gregory.
- 20:24I didn't really take that from the conversation.
- 20:27I thought that she was mad that she was picked over her but they
- 20:30were both having an affair with him.
- 20:33Yeah, cuz it sounds like she is like maybe hitting on him and he
- 20:35is rejecting her because yeah. But no, they were they were
- 20:38okay. He was hooking up with both of
- 20:39them and also he says that he always took it as her extra
- 20:45motivation was that she also had a crush on Tree.
- 20:48Ooh, okay. So that's kind of like really
- 20:51confusing there cuz it's like 2 people that she's into.
- 20:54Into each other and not her at all.
- 20:56She played that totally wrong. She should have gone for like a
- 20:58throuple situation. I know she could.
- 21:01Well, maybe. I don't know if tree's on board
- 21:02with that. I don't know if tree might.
- 21:04She could be, I don't know. I feel like tree would be open
- 21:07enough. Maybe by the end of the.
- 21:09By the end of the movie. Not that.
- 21:10Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:11So Laurie has to, like, kill her a dozen times, and then when
- 21:15Tree is a better person, she just like slides.
- 21:17Maybe that is how she came up. She's like, OK, I'll get her in
- 21:20a time loop, I'll make her become a better person and then
- 21:23we'll all fuck. So does Lauria just have really
- 21:26bad self esteem issues because she has crushed on garbage
- 21:29people who treat her poorly? But yeah, she has terrible
- 21:32taste. Yeah.
- 21:34OK, interesting. I like that.
- 21:37That makes me want to watch the movie again.
- 21:39And like, pay attention to any like undercurrents of that kind
- 21:43of tension too. Where you can just kind of see
- 21:46that, Yeah, Yeah, I I would like to see that also.
- 21:49So we never actually see Tree die in the movie.
- 21:52Everything always resets just before her death.
- 21:55Yeah. So the reason that this is
- 21:57happening is because Christopher Landon felt that if we ever
- 22:00actually saw her die, it would kind of fuck with the idea of it
- 22:03being a time loop. The whole idea of the time loop
- 22:06was for her to be pulled from death at the very last second
- 22:09and then brought back to as soon as she dies, boop restart.
- 22:12It's like in Palm Springs. Yeah, which, yeah, very similar
- 22:17to that. Yeah, Okay, and that's it.
- 22:20OK, those are the things that I pulled for this movie, All
- 22:22right? I like that.
- 22:23I like that information. Yeah, I thought it was pretty
- 22:25good too. The special features are great
- 22:27on there. It's like really short and to
- 22:29the point. You get all the information
- 22:31really fast, I really. Appreciate it.
- 22:33Yeah, that beats some special features where it's like the
- 22:36making of and then it's just like people goofing around on
- 22:39set, which don't get me wrong, I do love seeing stuff like that.
- 22:44I think it's great to see how well a cast and crew like blend
- 22:48together, but don't call it the making of.
- 22:51There was, well, there was a little bit of that in this too.
- 22:53There was a shot of Lori's body falling through the window and
- 22:59like, we got to see the actual dummy hit in front of the
- 23:02Vietnamese girl and then we just get to see her like run off
- 23:05stage and then like her like just come back like OK, it was,
- 23:08it was really funny seeing the dummy.
- 23:10The dummy looked kind of like Lori, but it was just kind of
- 23:13like, yeah. Yeah, it's funny.
- 23:16Yeah. OK.
- 23:17OK. So let's get on into it, Jesse.
- 23:19Let's talk about the good, bad, ugly, and absurd.
- 23:21What do you like about it? I really like the humor.
- 23:26It hits just right for me. But I'm kind of a sarcastic
- 23:30bitch. So it's it's in my wheelhouse,
- 23:33you know? I love a movie, Mean girl, And
- 23:36we get a lot of that here redemption arc.
- 23:40That's always fun. Carter's just, like, such a good
- 23:43guy. Yeah.
- 23:46So I think that's nice seeing like their relationship develop.
- 23:50And you know, we do get like those touching moments where she
- 23:56dies to reset the day. So that way he doesn't say dead
- 23:58forever and she goes and talks to her dad and they finally like
- 24:03have the moment they've needed to have.
- 24:06She grows, yeah. Like a tree.
- 24:10Slowly, slowly. Yeah.
- 24:16So I just think it's, it's a really fun movie.
- 24:18It it keeps up the pace throughout.
- 24:21I think like you never get like like they know when to stop a
- 24:25bit, you know what I mean? Like.
- 24:28That was one of the things I noticed about this.
- 24:30We had deleted scenes which really could have, I think would
- 24:35have worked fine in this movie, but they cut a lot of fat and
- 24:39they kept it like a pretty lean. Yeah, moving movie, because it
- 24:42would be so easy to just like have us go through those.
- 24:45Like I think somebody with the lesser eye for editing might
- 24:49have left in like longer loops going throughout.
- 24:52But I think having the 1st loop where she's freaked out about it
- 24:56being repeat of the day, the second day she's like really
- 25:00freaking out. And then we get this montage of
- 25:02her trying to solve it. I think that was the right way
- 25:05to go about it. And then you get the twist at
- 25:07the end because you think, OK cool, this was pretty easy to
- 25:09solve. It's this murderer guy.
- 25:10We've had hints of him throughout the whole movie where
- 25:14he's like sitting outside of that hospital room and you think
- 25:17that we've solved it and it's all good.
- 25:19But then she wakes up again starting the day over.
- 25:22I think that that was really good.
- 25:23I didn't see the twist coming, and I think part of that helps
- 25:27because she did start off the movie as such a classic movie
- 25:30mean girl that everybody is a suspect.
- 25:33Yes, because she's kind of fucking pissed off a lot of
- 25:37people. I like that a lot, yeah.
- 25:38Where they just make her such a horrible person.
- 25:41So it has so many possibilities, Yes.
- 25:43Yeah. And like, I also like that out
- 25:46of all the people she suspected, she never put Laurie on the list
- 25:49and she was legitimately surprised.
- 25:50And then I like how pissed off she was that she was being
- 25:54murdered over a guy. Yeah, And she's like, are you
- 25:56fucking kidding me over a guy? But we.
- 26:00Realized it's not all that. Yeah, exactly.
- 26:02So I think this movie, just like it, does it for me on a lot of
- 26:06levels. OK, so I agree with you.
- 26:09I think that the humor and the horror is mixed pretty well here
- 26:13because I feel like the humor is more.
- 26:17In the movie. But when we do get the horror
- 26:19scenes, it's actually pretty effective.
- 26:21Yeah, like the first time we see the killer when it's like the
- 26:24little toy in the tunnel. Oh my God, that whole setting.
- 26:27Like, yeah. And every instinct in me is
- 26:30saying don't walk across campus alone at night.
- 26:33I know everything that's been ingrained my entire life, like.
- 26:40Yeah, Yep. It's a shame.
- 26:43But I also like the other scenes where you kind of just see the
- 26:46killer in the background stocking around because, you
- 26:48know, there's a couple of scenes like that where she's in her
- 26:51room and it just kind of sneaks through the bathroom.
- 26:55And then especially in the deleted scene, we don't get to
- 26:58see this in the main movie. But whenever the Doctor Gregory
- 27:02is killed, like you see the killer in the window behind.
- 27:05Yeah, that was just there. Yeah.
- 27:07Right. Like there's no attention call
- 27:09to it other than. You know when tree calls
- 27:12attention to. But then just like slowly moves
- 27:14out of frame and it's all one shot and it looks really creepy.
- 27:17That stuff gets me every time. I also really appreciate the
- 27:22touch of her sustaining damage from all the deaths.
- 27:25I thought that that was a nice spin on it because yeah, there.
- 27:28Are consequences to all the actions even though she is
- 27:31looping things? Yes.
- 27:32That is cool. I like that a lot.
- 27:34And that that's the one that fucks me up every time we watch
- 27:36Palm Springs, because I'm like, you're dying so horrifically.
- 27:40Right. And yeah, the consequences
- 27:42aren't there in that movie. But yeah, it's I like having
- 27:45consequences for something that shouldn't have consequences.
- 27:49You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 27:51And then my final thing I have is I I just like this as a fun
- 27:55way to do a murder mystery type thing.
- 27:57Yeah, like you get to die so many times and you it kind of
- 28:02lets you have fun with finding the killer because you just see
- 28:05her like try and fell over and over again.
- 28:08And it's just a lot of slashing, yeah.
- 28:11And bats to the head sometimes, yeah, bats to the heads,
- 28:14drowning in the pool. Getting blown up?
- 28:16Yeah, yeah, it's really fun. OK, what do you know like about
- 28:21this? It always bums me out that she
- 28:27does like the perfect day. She saves the people as she goes
- 28:32through the quad. She apologizes to Lori for not
- 28:37being nice, even though Lori's always there for her.
- 28:42She's open with Danielle about a boy she's interested in.
- 28:46She has this moment with her father.
- 28:49Like, she does all of the things and think she solved it, and
- 28:54then she dies, and then she wakes up the next day.
- 28:56And even though she's had those growth moments personally, they
- 29:00don't really matter in her new universe.
- 29:02Yeah, like she's going to have to go through all of that stuff
- 29:06again. Obviously not apologizing to
- 29:07Lori, but like, like, you know, she's going to have to go talk
- 29:12to her to add and, you know, relive all of that and worry
- 29:17about patching things up with Danielle, like all of that type
- 29:21of stuff. Like she has to redo it now.
- 29:24Yeah. I see what you're saying, but I
- 29:26kind of like that because that's what makes the twist so
- 29:29effective, because you think that's like such a classic movie
- 29:33moment where ohh okay, everything's going right.
- 29:35This is the final one. And then she doesn't like she
- 29:39wakes up again. I know.
- 29:41It's so effective. I'm like, oh shit, it's still
- 29:43going. It is so effective.
- 29:45But I'm just sad that like, she did the hard things because it
- 29:49is hard to do stuff like that, you know?
- 29:52Yeah, it's hard to reckon with who you are versus who you want
- 29:56to be. And she did that and it like I
- 30:02said, it matters for her. She had that internal growth,
- 30:05but now she's gotta. Gotta do it again.
- 30:07Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:08OK. So I don't really have a lot
- 30:12either. My only thing is, despite
- 30:15repeated exposure to all of these people in this movie, we
- 30:18don't get any development from anybody else.
- 30:21Everybody is still pretty much the exact same person that we
- 30:24met from the beginning of the movie.
- 30:25Yeah. And I know that they don't have
- 30:27a way to like grow as much, but I figured, you know, with
- 30:31different ways to take the day, we could like get more.
- 30:35Like different things from people see, like how they grow
- 30:39when she changes her interactions with them.
- 30:42Exactly, Yeah. And I don't think we get that as
- 30:44much. Yeah, Danielle's poor actor.
- 30:47Like, her whole script has to be the same like 5 lines over and
- 30:53over again. Yeah, like stuff like that.
- 30:56So yeah. Yeah, and that's pretty much the
- 30:59only thing I could think of. And even then, it's not that bad
- 31:01because like, it's the same thing.
- 31:03You know, it's hard to grow the other people that aren't
- 31:05impacted by it. But you know, like you said you
- 31:07could do with reacting, yeah. OK, ugly.
- 31:13All right, I have two. OK, And one is John Tombs, which
- 31:21Rob Mello? We've met him at Scare Fest.
- 31:23He partied with Ron. Yeah, he like, emceed Scary
- 31:27Okie. And he was hilarious.
- 31:29He was flashing people not like, you know, the stuff that would
- 31:36get him arrested, but like he was lifting up his shirt and
- 31:39like. He was just like, taking his
- 31:40shirt off and putting it back on.
- 31:42Yeah, like flashing his nipples at people on the sidewalk, like.
- 31:44Yeah, it was very like silly, goofy stuff.
- 31:47And he also sang Nirvana's cover of Where Did You Sleep Last
- 31:53Night? And got really into it.
- 31:54Like he's just, he's an awesome guy.
- 31:56He spoke on the indie movie panel.
- 31:58So. And I know, like, lots of horror
- 32:03movie actors are really nice people.
- 32:04But, like, it was kind of a bummer, having seen him like
- 32:08that and then listening to him murdering women and consistently
- 32:13referring to Tree as a little girl and just absolutely being
- 32:16brutal to her. Yeah, and he's just having to
- 32:19play a pretty sick person. Yeah, a serial killer.
- 32:22You know, yeah, John teams is one of those like icky serial
- 32:25killers that you hear about and you're like ohh God, yeah, yeah.
- 32:30So we got that. And then also I think a lot of
- 32:34the like body shaming type stuff that happened, like a lot of the
- 32:39like stuff with Kappa which is like in a movie you're
- 32:45satirizing stuff. Not that that type of stuff
- 32:47doesn't happen in some sororities.
- 32:51Not it's not universal. But yeah, like the whole like,
- 32:57that is not Kappa cuisine and we don't.
- 33:00None of us eats breakfast, which I think is personally funny
- 33:03because I'm not a breakfast eater and breakfast eaters do
- 33:06not understand non breakfast eaters.
- 33:07Yeah, it's the greatest divide in the world.
- 33:10I occasionally eat breakfast when I'm hungry, but I'm just
- 33:12usually not hungry until lunchtime.
- 33:14So. Honestly, taking it back to
- 33:16Scream Queens, it kind of reminds me of how they are in
- 33:19their sorority, their cotton balls.
- 33:21Yeah, they just dip them in BBQ sauce.
- 33:23Like, yeah, I mean, yeah, That's Kappa cuisine right there.
- 33:25Exactly. Yeah.
- 33:26Oh my God, they're Kappa also. I know, right?
- 33:28Yeah, it is Kappa cuisine. OK.
- 33:33So yeah, I got two uglies also. So the first one on the frat
- 33:38side of it this time, OK. That scene when Tree is getting
- 33:43killed by the killer in the frat boys bedroom and the killer has
- 33:48her pin and the drunk dude comes in there and he sees her getting
- 33:52like, you know, dude pinning her on the bed and she's like, help
- 33:55me and then he's like, hey, yeah.
- 33:58He closes the door. He definitely assumes it's a
- 34:00rape situation going down. He's like, yeah, that's cool.
- 34:02And he cheers it on like, what the fuck?
- 34:05Yeah, that was fucked up. That was pretty fucking ugly.
- 34:08That's not OK. That is, that's bad.
- 34:12Yeah, that's bad. And the other thing is Tree
- 34:16ignoring her dad's calls. Because I understand that it's a
- 34:19very heavy thing for her, but it's a very heavy thing for him
- 34:22too. And he's just trying to connect
- 34:23with the other person that he has in his life.
- 34:26Yeah, it's like they they both experience multiple losses when
- 34:30the mom died because he lost his wife and in a lot of senses his
- 34:35daughter and she lost her mom and had a lot of senses her dad.
- 34:39Yeah, exactly. So it's sad.
- 34:41Yeah, Okay. Absurd.
- 34:45What's absurd? Oh, absurd.
- 34:52I guess I'm gonna go with fucking baby mascot.
- 34:57Yeah, I hate it so much. There's like 1 scene in the quad
- 35:02where like one guy is selling the gear for the game.
- 35:04He's like show your pride 10% off with your student ID.
- 35:08And in my notes, I was like, Who the fuck is buying this that
- 35:10isn't a student? You are not doing that man's
- 35:13delivery justice. It is perfect 10.
- 35:16Percent 10% off No 10% off. Baby mask, Show your student ID.
- 35:23You know, he says it like that. He doesn't know.
- 35:26He doesn't have a hard ending. He knows it's a bullshit mascot.
- 35:29Ohh, yeah, no, that's definitely like a student drop.
- 35:32Yeah, yeah, that like he was assigned.
- 35:34Yeah, that was my episode that I had written down to.
- 35:37Like, that's not a realistic mascot.
- 35:39Who the fuck would have a fucking baby?
- 35:41Like, what does the rest of the mascot look like?
- 35:44Is he in like a partially inflated sumo suit with a diaper
- 35:48on like? I wish I would love to see that.
- 35:51I want that guy to chase her around the entire time.
- 35:55I did write one other thing down and it's the scene where Tree
- 35:58does everything right. You were talking about it, and
- 36:01she confronts Danielle about talking about the cap cuisine to
- 36:06Becky. But Danielle does not believe
- 36:09she's going to pour that chocolate milk on her.
- 36:11Like she just stands there and lets it happen.
- 36:12Speaking of the chocolate milk. She takes Becky's chocolate milk
- 36:16to do it. She doesn't take her own
- 36:18chocolate milk to do it. She's like, by the way, you
- 36:20probably don't need this. Just like, pours it on her head.
- 36:23I think it's so fucking funny that they're all like asked
- 36:26about the chocolate milk, but they all have Venti Frappuccinos
- 36:29from Starbucks. Is that what they have?
- 36:31Yeah, like they all have like venti Frappuccinos and iced
- 36:34lattes and stuff that have milk and chocolate and whipped cream.
- 36:39Like, probably more calorie heavy than a glass of chocolate
- 36:42milk. Those are like liquid cakes.
- 36:44Yeah, pretty much. Yeah.
- 36:46All right. So why are you rating this movie
- 36:508.75? 8.75 OK, I believe I'm gonna go
- 36:57right about 7.75, which makes our average.
- 37:03I wanna say it's 8.25, but I need to.
- 37:06I need my phone to tell me that. OK, too many points.
- 37:09OK, yeah, it is 8.2. Five, hey, OK.
- 37:13All right. So let's get on into this one,
- 37:17OK? We start off with the tree
- 37:20waking up in a random dorm room and saying, oh God am I in a
- 37:24dorm. Room, which I thought was
- 37:25strange considering she is in college.
- 37:28Well, cuz she lives in the sorority house.
- 37:29I know. I got it now.
- 37:31But like, whenever we were watching last time, I was like,
- 37:33yeah, dude, you're in college. And she probably would have
- 37:35assumed she would have gone home with like, a frat guy.
- 37:37Yeah, she's in that room with a cool guy.
- 37:40So yeah, it is. He's got a Mystery Science
- 37:45Theater 3000 poster. He's got a They Live poster.
- 37:49He's got not. Of the living dead, Yeah, he's
- 37:53got a Repo Man poster like he's got he's got good taste.
- 37:57I like this guy. Yeah, he's so.
- 37:59And he's like, I floated your pants.
- 38:01I didn't know if this material wrinkled.
- 38:03What? That's so sweet.
- 38:05Yeah, it was like leatherish. So I don't know.
- 38:07It doesn't. It's like a spandex type thing.
- 38:09It probably would have been fine, OK, honestly.
- 38:12Yeah, but she thinks that he took advantage of her.
- 38:14So she storms out and he's got his roommate, Brisson.
- 38:18He's like, yo, did you get that fine vagina?
- 38:21Which is a sentence only somebody who's never seen a
- 38:23vagina would say. Yeah.
- 38:25Well, clearly, yeah. The closest he has been to a
- 38:28vagina is when he was came out of his mother's.
- 38:31Yes, yes, Most likely yes. So Tree starts her walk of
- 38:35shame, I wrote. It would be a walk of shame if
- 38:38she had any. OK, yeah, that's true.
- 38:43So OK, we take note of a couple of things here.
- 38:46Whenever she's walking goth guy. Goth Guy?
- 38:49Yeah, so it's staring at her. Yeah, which I don't understand.
- 38:51I don't get that. Like, have you never seen that
- 38:54type of shit before? Is it that outlandish for
- 38:56somebody to be walking back from somebody's dorm room?
- 39:00I don't get it. Maybe he's like trying to put
- 39:02the shame in the walk of shame. Yeah, I think he's like, I'm
- 39:05kicking it off. Your shame.
- 39:06Yeah, you're Sequin Tank Top Shame.
- 39:08Shame. Shame.
- 39:10Just whispers. Shame.
- 39:12Yeah, shame. There's the girl who is trying
- 39:17to get people to send a petition to end global warming.
- 39:19Yes, we've got sprinklers that come on and disrupt a couple on
- 39:24the grass. Yep, smooching over there.
- 39:26Which good. They're gross.
- 39:28Yeah, we don't need to see that in public first thing in the
- 39:30morning. Yeah.
- 39:32Shame, shame, shame, shame. Stay in your dorm room.
- 39:33Do that in private. We got frat Bros out there doing
- 39:36some hazing. Yeah, with one of them
- 39:38collapsing on the ground. Yep.
- 39:40And then we got a car alarm. Yep.
- 39:42And by the way, this is all a Monday morning.
- 39:44Yeah. So I just, I want to.
- 39:46I want to set the scene. If you're like a typical weekend
- 39:49shenanigans. No.
- 39:50No. So, and then as she's walking
- 39:53back, Tim comes out from behind the corner, which is creepy time
- 39:58we watched Tim. I'm like, I clearly know him
- 40:01from somewhere. And you know what?
- 40:03I don't, I don't know him from anything.
- 40:04He's. Kind of got that face where he
- 40:06looks like you would know him. He looks like he could be one of
- 40:08the Dickey dollar scholars. He really does.
- 40:10Yeah, they should both do screen Queens.
- 40:12If they get renewed for a third season, they would fit in
- 40:15perfectly, yes. And then he's like, OK, why have
- 40:19you not been answering my text? Yeah, he's like, I wanted to
- 40:21take you on a second date and she goes, we barely had a first
- 40:23date. You took me to subway and it's
- 40:24not like you have a foot long, which that line was improvised
- 40:28by Jessica Roth. You know what?
- 40:30Good for her. I can't believe that they didn't
- 40:33think to add that in the script, I know, but it's a pretty good.
- 40:35Yeah. So she makes it back to her
- 40:38dorm. Also, what did the riders have
- 40:40against Subway to specifically call out Subway?
- 40:44I think maybe Jessica had a problem with them, so she makes
- 40:49it back to the Kappa house. She ignores the Vietnamese girl
- 40:53that is sitting outside listening to music.
- 40:55So cute and listening to her music and smiling at everybody
- 40:57as they come in and everybody ignores her and.
- 41:00I feel bad for her. She walks in and then Danielle
- 41:04comes in and is like. Sneaky little biatch.
- 41:07Yeah, I love that she does that delivery.
- 41:09Every time you sneaky little biatch.
- 41:11Yeah. And she's like, who is he?
- 41:13And she's like nobody. And she's like, don't forget
- 41:15about the house meeting at lunch, which, sorry, I'm going
- 41:18to jump ahead for a second. Their house meeting is going to
- 41:20be outside and like a quad. Yeah, it's not a good.
- 41:24How, like, how are you going to have an effective meeting when
- 41:26everybody's spread out in these tables that are bolted to the
- 41:30ground? Bolted to the ground for good
- 41:32reason, because it's not impossible.
- 41:37That some undergrads would get drunk and decide to flip tables
- 41:41and rearrange them on a patio. Who would do that?
- 41:44So she goes back up into her room and that's when Lori.
- 41:47She finally rolls in. Yeah, Lori's piss.
- 41:51Yeah. And she's like, but I've got a
- 41:52cupcake for you. Yeah.
- 41:54And that's what, cupcake. Yeah, she's like, did you think
- 41:56I wouldn't find out? I rummaged through your shit and
- 41:59found your driver's license. This big red flag.
- 42:03Yeah, like, come on. If you are looking at the
- 42:06driver's license to try and figure out the person's birthday
- 42:08and you didn't find it in an organic way, that is serial
- 42:11killer shit. Right, right.
- 42:13Like that should have been the first clue for suspect list #1.
- 42:17Lori looked at my driver's license.
- 42:19My driver's license and baked a single cupcake.
- 42:24That's also serial killer behavior.
- 42:26And yes, I know Kristen Wiig does that in Bridesmaids.
- 42:28I'm not saying that she's not a serial killer.
- 42:30She could be very much. Yeah.
- 42:32Yeah, bullshit. But trees like, fuck that.
- 42:36Too many calories. That's not Kappa cuisine.
- 42:38Too many carbs, Too many carbs. Same thing.
- 42:41Yeah, so they're at their house meeting and they're fat shaming
- 42:46Becky, who is by no means fat and just wants to eat her
- 42:50chocolate milk. And I don't know what else is on
- 42:52her plate. Fries.
- 42:53Yeah, and other shit, You know, good, good food.
- 42:56Yeah. And so while they're busy
- 42:58berating her, I think at one point Tree refers to it as a cat
- 43:01lady buffet. Yeah, that's what they call it.
- 43:03Yeah. Which sounds like a Chanel.
- 43:06Carter like Becky, stands up embarrassed and Carter, like
- 43:10bumps into her and spills chocolate milk all over tree.
- 43:12And he's like, I wanted to return your bracelet and what a
- 43:16douchebag. Yeah, what an absolute asshole.
- 43:20Doing a nice thing for you, yeah.
- 43:24Tree goes to class briefly. That's it.
- 43:29Yeah. There's nothing to it other than
- 43:30her making fuck me as at the professor, and him
- 43:33reciprocating, which we then cut to the hospital where he works
- 43:37and she's meeting with him. Which it's also important to
- 43:40note that her roommates there and she's like, I thought you
- 43:42only work tonight and she was like, oh, I'm doing a double
- 43:44picking up for somebody. I don't know which I question
- 43:48that because most nursing shifts are 12 hours.
- 43:51Yeah. Well, I mean, she's trying.
- 43:53Unless she means that she's like picking up like an additional
- 43:57like 4 hours at the beginning of the day.
- 43:59She definitely she did it herself for sure.
- 44:01Yeah, we'll find out later. Yeah, but she warns Tree.
- 44:04She's like, you know what? None of my business.
- 44:06But don't go through with it. Don't go and see him, man.
- 44:09Tree's like, you know what? You're right.
- 44:11It's not your business. She proceeds to go see him.
- 44:14Which I'm just gonna say this is kind of hot.
- 44:17She goes into his office and she starts making out and she kicks
- 44:19the chair without even looking and it blocks the door handle.
- 44:23That is cool. Yeah, I kind of see her.
- 44:25Laurie's crushes. It's not the first time she's
- 44:28done. So yeah, they're getting hot and
- 44:31steamy in there. They're making out.
- 44:33It's kind of gross, cuz that's her professor.
- 44:35Yeah. And then what do you know?
- 44:36Yeah, he's fucking taking advantage of her, yeah.
- 44:39I don't care that she's a grown adult.
- 44:40He's in a position of power over her.
- 44:42Yeah, it's her professor. Yeah.
- 44:43It's not cool. It's icky, but his wife shows
- 44:47up. Yeah, And she kind of senses
- 44:49weird vibes. He's like, well, what do you
- 44:51know, Door jamb, whatever. Yeah, that's.
- 44:53Why? It probably smells like his pre
- 44:55cum in there. By that point he's stanking all
- 44:59over the place. She knows the smell.
- 45:03I got a very unique type of scent.
- 45:07So yeah, tree gets out of there cuz she feels uncomfortable.
- 45:10Yeah, so she's back at her room. And she's painting her toenails.
- 45:15And Danielle is asking when she's going to the party.
- 45:18She says that she borrowed trees top and I legit thought that
- 45:22this is like a pajama top. It is ugly as hell.
- 45:25Yeah, I thought it was like a like a robe type deal.
- 45:28Yeah, way around the house for comfort.
- 45:30Yeah, yeah, it's really weird. So.
- 45:33And then the power surges for a minute.
- 45:35Our tuition dollars at work, yeah.
- 45:38Spoken by somebody who's probably never worked in her
- 45:40life. No, I'm sure she.
- 45:42Hasn't, yeah. She walks to the party alone,
- 45:47and she is listening to an angry voicemail from her dad because
- 45:51he's sat at the restaurant alone for an hour, which is sad.
- 45:55That's very sad. And she goes to, she goes to
- 45:59this tunnel and is like blocked off with stuff like seeing like
- 46:02lines down or lines overhead or so.
- 46:04I don't know. They're doing construction.
- 46:05I don't understand. Yeah, They're like, why?
- 46:07It's flashing, but there's like no sign of anything being great.
- 46:10So maybe it's the the bridge above.
- 46:13Yeah, I don't know. Either way, there's a, like,
- 46:15weird little toy. It's a music box.
- 46:17Music box. OK Yeah.
- 46:18I didn't know what to call it. Yeah.
- 46:19It's like a little carousel thing, though.
- 46:21Yeah. And it's like playing Happy
- 46:22Birthday and she's a little bit freaked out.
- 46:26I mean, she should be because Baby Face pops up behind her.
- 46:30They have a little chase scene which ends with her getting
- 46:33stabbed in the face. And then she wakes up.
- 46:37And yesterday, she's a little bit nicer to Carter.
- 46:41This time she says kind of the same things, but she's a lot
- 46:43nicer. Like, she's like Carter, right?
- 46:46Do you have any Tylenol? My head's killing me.
- 46:48Like, same things, different delivery.
- 46:51Yeah. And she's very confused.
- 46:55She's like, how did I wind up here again?
- 46:58And he was like, maybe you just had a bad dream.
- 47:01She's on her way back to the house.
- 47:03She's a little bit nicer to people as she sees she's seeing
- 47:06all of the same things that happened.
- 47:07The goth guy, the sprinklers, the frat guys, the car alarm and
- 47:11then the Tim hiding behind the pillar and she asked him what
- 47:14day is it? And he's like it's Monday the
- 47:1618th, which freaks her out. Yeah, So she goes back to Kappa
- 47:20House and then everything's still playing out the same.
- 47:23Danielle was like you, stinky little bee hatch, And then she
- 47:26notices baby face masks. Yeah.
- 47:32She leaves Laurie's cupcake on her desk at the house meeting
- 47:38when she, like Carter, disrupts everything.
- 47:41He's about to walk away. And she goes hold on and she,
- 47:43like, holds out her hand. Yeah, it's like, what?
- 47:44And she's like, you have my bracelet and he's like, ohh
- 47:47yeah, that I can understand. She's like, well, he must have
- 47:50it. I can get that one.
- 47:52Yeah, maybe, yeah. At the hospital, the professor,
- 47:56she just tells the professor that they need to talk and he's
- 47:58like, listen. You can't fall in love with me.
- 48:02And she's like, oh, I'm. I'm not And he's like what?
- 48:04But but but like what if? Yeah, that hurt his ego in a way
- 48:10that I am so glad. Yeah, that was a fun watch.
- 48:14So she's back in her room. She's watching birthday videos
- 48:17of her and her mom and her dad. Yeah, that's really sad.
- 48:21And then she walks to the party again, but this time she goes a
- 48:24different. Way she avoids the tunnel, yeah.
- 48:26When she gets the house, it is dark and quiet, which I don't
- 48:29care if it's a surprise party. There's no way of frat house
- 48:32that size is gonna be dark and quiet when there's a party going
- 48:34on. No, not at.
- 48:35Are you kidding me? Yeah.
- 48:37And then she opens the door and babyface right there in her
- 48:39face. Punches it.
- 48:41This is why I love Tree. She was like, she takes
- 48:44information and she immediately processes it.
- 48:46And she was like, all right, not making the same mistake twice.
- 48:49Punch. Yeah, but turns out to be Nick.
- 48:53Yeah, who is just trying to surprise her.
- 48:55And then the whole house is filled with the sorority and the
- 48:58frat. Yeah, so it's a surprise party
- 49:01for her because Lori ratted her out to the whole group and she's
- 49:07talking to Danielle and Nick comes up and Danielle is like,
- 49:13so. So try hard to get his
- 49:16attention, like she's laughing way too hard on his not funny
- 49:20jokes and like falling all over herself for his attention.
- 49:23Meanwhile he's flirting with tree like, yeah, because she's
- 49:26like, sorry I punished you. He's like, you can make it up to
- 49:28me later, hey? Yeah, yeah.
- 49:31So they kind of make little, you know, fuck me.
- 49:34Eyes across the room, he kind of hints that he's going upstairs.
- 49:38So she follows. Yeah.
- 49:39Ohh, Danielle does drop the knowledge like she was like, I
- 49:42can't believe Laurie's not here and she was like, ohh, she's
- 49:45working a double and she goes and she's probably banging that
- 49:47mystery guy and she's like, what?
- 49:51So up in Nick's room. Pretty sure this is where Tree
- 49:56assumes that she did actually die and went to hell because
- 49:59it's an EDM disco nightmare. This is whole area.
- 50:03I love this here. He's like, welcome to the
- 50:05Pleasure Dome. And then he just turns on the
- 50:07lights and his fucking EDM, he's over there dancing.
- 50:10When he referred to it as the Pleasure Dome, and it only got
- 50:14worse when he flipped that switch.
- 50:16But do you not know what the Dome is?
- 50:18That ain't a fucking Dome. And also that shit right there.
- 50:22The dancing is so ridiculous. I I love it though.
- 50:25It's so hilarious. If he were, it's.
- 50:27Exactly how a guy like him would dance to EDM.
- 50:29He could, if he were doing it in a playful manner.
- 50:32It could be funny and fun. But no, he is dead.
- 50:36He's super into it and I don't think Babyface would have killed
- 50:39him. But Babyface comes out the
- 50:41closet and it's like, that's so nice.
- 50:45Meanwhile tree is. Texting Danielle because she's
- 50:48super over this. And Danielle's like, are you
- 50:50with him right now? And she's like, what?
- 50:52No, never. And Danielle's like, I hope you
- 50:55both die. And then the Wishmaster says
- 50:57Grudge it so babyface sneaks out from the closet, gets Nick.
- 51:03Which tree can't hear any of this?
- 51:05Because you. Know the music is so fucking
- 51:07loud. Yeah.
- 51:09So then attacks tree, and then tree gets pinned to the bed.
- 51:13That's when the frat dude comes in.
- 51:14Sees what looks to be a date rape situation and then he's
- 51:18like, hey, OK. Cheers it on.
- 51:20Yeah, really Promotes negative stereotypes, toxic masculinity,
- 51:24illegal behavior, you know, all of that.
- 51:26And then she dies again. So we're back in Carter's room.
- 51:30This time she wakes up gasping. She's very freaked out.
- 51:33She goes back to being rude to Carter, but I understand it a
- 51:36little bit more this time. Yeah.
- 51:39She tells Lori that she's lived through this day twice and
- 51:43Lori's like. How about you just take the day
- 51:46off? Skip your classes, you know,
- 51:49maybe take a nap. The thing is here, I feel she's
- 51:52telling her all the things. She's like, OK, you got me a
- 51:54cupcake, You got me this, this is.
- 51:55I'm going to die tonight. And then it's like, oh shit,
- 51:58like I am planning to kill her. Maybe she does know something,
- 52:02you know? I wish I could have sensed like
- 52:03a little bit of freak out going on in her there.
- 52:06But Laurie's got such confused, murderous horniness going on
- 52:09that she can't put any of the clues together for herself.
- 52:12This might be my chance. So that night, instead of going
- 52:15out, tree boards up the room, which, God, their national
- 52:19boards are going to be furious with her at the damage in the
- 52:22walls. Yeah, but it's a good, you know,
- 52:26not doing the chair maneuver. She's straight up like,
- 52:28actually. Nailing boards against Where
- 52:29does she get the boards and nails?
- 52:31I have no fucking idea. She probably took it from
- 52:33Laurie's stuff. Why?
- 52:34She's such a bad roommate. She's.
- 52:36Like, it's weird Laurie has this pile of, like, weapons and
- 52:40boards and stuff. I don't know.
- 52:42I never would have seen anything coming from her, all this power
- 52:45tools and shit. So yeah, she's there, and then
- 52:49she's watching the news. And yeah, well, she's watching
- 52:51something else I want to say. It's probably like a reality.
- 52:55V 16 and pregnant or something. Yeah, something like that.
- 52:58Yeah, she's trying to find the remote because she doesn't want
- 53:02to watch it again. She's seen this episode three
- 53:04Times Now. She can't find the remote, and
- 53:09in the midst of looking for it, the TV starts flickering on and
- 53:13off. And this is always gonna be a
- 53:14trope that will scare me every single time, because you know
- 53:17that the danger is really close by, except for nowadays you've
- 53:21got like apps for your TV and stuff.
- 53:23Like you could realistically fuck with me.
- 53:25Oh yeah, for sure. From away from the house, like
- 53:27because you've got the app on your phone.
- 53:29I've. I've had a thought before where
- 53:32I just like in a neighborhood. I look for people's like Wi-Fi
- 53:35and the ones that are open, I'll be like, okay, I'm gonna go onto
- 53:38your YouTube now and it's gonna take over your TV and I'm gonna
- 53:40play some creepy shit. That's way less creepy than the
- 53:43people that do that and connect to their cameras.
- 53:46That's true too. I'm not gonna do it.
- 53:48I'm just saying it's, you know, I think it would be a creepy
- 53:50thing to do. But yeah, so it's changing.
- 53:54And at one point it flips through the news and says that
- 53:56John Tomes is in the hospital after a shootout with cops.
- 53:59He's one for the murder of six women and potentially a dozen
- 54:02more. So she's getting freaked out and
- 54:09she's trying to, like, creep through the room, figure out
- 54:11where the person is, and babyface ends up attacking.
- 54:17But she can't get out of the room, so they're fighting.
- 54:20And of course it ends with a hammer to the head and tree
- 54:23waking up screaming. I thought that that was one of
- 54:25the more well done order set pieces because they let the
- 54:29dread and the tension yes. Really good there.
- 54:31That one was done really, really well.
- 54:33Yeah. So, and like I said, this is a
- 54:35really good way of like getting the pacing of the movie because
- 54:38we've seen normal loop. Like normal day.
- 54:42Then we see her confused, thinking maybe it's a bad dream.
- 54:45And then we see her do the rational route.
- 54:47Like, I'm not gonna go to the party tonight.
- 54:50I've died the past two times I've tried.
- 54:52I'm gonna board my shit up. Yep, But Nope.
- 54:55Now we got this, I like how she wakes up here because she's
- 54:58wakes up screaming this time and it scares Carter.
- 55:00So he just, like, bumps his head.
- 55:01On Yeah, it's really funny. He follows her and she's like,
- 55:06you have to help me and he. Is like I don't necessarily know
- 55:11that I believe you. But if I were to go along with
- 55:13it I would say we have to figure out why today's significant.
- 55:16And then her phone rings which for somebody that doesn't want
- 55:20people to know it's her birthday.
- 55:22Why does she have a it's your birthday ringtone.
- 55:24I'm gonna pick up the phone. So do you know what's up with
- 55:29that? But he's like, it's your
- 55:31birthday. And she goes, well, I just don't
- 55:33really believe in celebrating birthdays.
- 55:34He goes, OK, so then the killer is clearly, like, this is
- 55:37significant. So the killer is clearly
- 55:38somebody who knows it's your birthday and that has reason to
- 55:42be mad at you. And she goes, OK, well, Lori
- 55:45told my whole sorority and another fraternity that it's my
- 55:48birthday, so they're all planning a party and then she's.
- 55:51Yeah, and then she starts listing off people that she's
- 55:53pissed off. She's like, I've pissed off
- 55:55Danielle. I've pissed off that girl at TJ
- 55:58Maxx said. I got fired.
- 56:00Yeah, that. Uber driver I spit on Danielle
- 56:04Gregory's wife Tim. Creepy guy at or creepy girl at
- 56:08TJMaxx, And then the Uber driver.
- 56:10Yeah, that she spat on. Yeah.
- 56:11Yeah. And then she learns because,
- 56:14like, he's a little bit, a little bit sad when he learns
- 56:18that she kissed another boy before going home with her.
- 56:21And she goes, OK, well, Mr. I'm gonna take advantage of a drunk
- 56:24girl. He goes, I slept in Ryan's.
- 56:26But you were really drunk. I wouldn't overdo that.
- 56:28No. And she.
- 56:30Like has a moment where she kind of, like, seems relieved and
- 56:34happy to hear again. Tree also has really low
- 56:37standards. Just hearing that somebody
- 56:40didn't rape you while you were drunk.
- 56:41And she's like, oh, well, one of the last times.
- 56:45Yeah, that she did that. She, like, had somebody, like,
- 56:46rooting for a date rape. Yeah.
- 56:47So she's like, OK, this guy is actually not into that.
- 56:50That's great. I'm on.
- 56:51I got. I found somebody, OK.
- 56:53I just. You know, I tell you this all
- 56:55the time when I'm reading things like, am I the asshole?
- 56:57But like, the bar for men is so fucking low, it's really easy
- 57:01not to be shitty. Yeah, so he tells her.
- 57:05OK, so look, from the sounds of it, you've got unlimited
- 57:08opportunities to find your killers, so you just gotta keep
- 57:11going out there and dying until you figure out who it is.
- 57:14And you know what we get after that?
- 57:15A dying montage is a big Jesse plus right there.
- 57:21So she decides that she's gonna make her own suspect list.
- 57:24The first one is Nick, who she crosses off because he got
- 57:27killed. Yeah, because he got killed the
- 57:29night before. Or two nights ago.
- 57:32Whatever. This is gonna get tricky, Tim.
- 57:35But when she's spying on him, she sees that he's also got
- 57:38confused, horny feelings, and perhaps is.
- 57:42Not completely heterosexual. Yeah, he's tricking into gay
- 57:45porn. Yeah.
- 57:45And she's like, in the women, she's like, oh, he's gay.
- 57:49And she seems pretty supportive of it.
- 57:50Yeah. Yeah, Stephanie, which is
- 57:54Gregory's wife. But while she's spying on
- 57:56Stephanie, she gets killed so she can cross her off.
- 57:59Yeah, which but the I guess that does confirm it.
- 58:03Then yeah, yeah, yeah. I had that moment too where I
- 58:06was like, well, we didn't see Stephanie die because that's
- 58:08what had been going on for the other ones.
- 58:10So I was like, oh, no, she was. She was actively not doing the
- 58:13killing when she died. So and then we have Danielle,
- 58:17who Tree just comes up screaming at.
- 58:20They get into a fight, get hit by a car, both die.
- 58:22Yeah, yeah, like right by a bus is like final destination.
- 58:27I do like that she's having some fun as she's going along with
- 58:32it, which you know, if you've got unlimited days to do what
- 58:36you want, like she. Guys, her hair pink, she goes
- 58:43naked in the quad. She actually went full blown
- 58:46naked when she was shooting that.
- 58:48Really. Yeah.
- 58:49She's no pasties or anything, she said.
- 58:51She wanted to feel the rush that the character would.
- 58:53I also want to say. This is the only time in the
- 58:56movie that she pulls her hair back into a ponytail.
- 58:58She's got beautiful bone structure in her face.
- 59:01She looks nice, like she can rock a ponytail.
- 59:04And also when they were shooting us, I was reading like they were
- 59:06shooting this on an actual college campus.
- 59:08So they had to be really fast because other people could see
- 59:12her like just doing it so. This is like, what's his face?
- 59:16Dwayne in basket case? Yeah, just running down.
- 59:19New York. Yeah.
- 59:20Yep. Let's see what's next, Okay.
- 59:24And then she gets brained by Becky.
- 59:27Really. No brains.
- 59:29Becky with the bat. And then she ends up getting.
- 59:32Yeah cuz she was trying to pop out at who she thought was the
- 59:36killer. And then it was Becky.
- 59:37She goes oh God Becky, I'm so sorry.
- 59:39Poor Becky. Can't catch a fucking brain.
- 59:41Yeah, she gets the worst of all of this.
- 59:44So yeah, then she wakes up, and then she starts to feel the pain
- 59:47from all the stuff. Yeah, and she passes out into
- 59:51Ryan's arms, which I feel so bad for her for that.
- 59:54Yes, she wakes up in the hospital for a second, cuz she's
- 59:58probably under some sort of sedation a little bit too.
- 1:00:01She thinks that Carter is babyface, but he's not.
- 1:00:04He's Carter. He's like, they can't contact
- 1:00:07your parents and he's like talking to her.
- 1:00:10But then Gregory comes in and kicks him out, so his visiting
- 1:00:12hours are over. So Gregory is like, we need to
- 1:00:17pull your medical records, but we're having a hard time.
- 1:00:20And Tree is like, what's going on?
- 1:00:21He goes, well, you are pretty fucked up and I don't know why
- 1:00:27you're alive. Yeah, you should be dead, right?
- 1:00:29Now you have major trauma. Like I I want your medical
- 1:00:32records so I can write about this and publish it in a medical
- 1:00:36journal. I want to continue to use you
- 1:00:38for my own game, you know, So she, like, she freaks out.
- 1:00:44She wants to get up and leave. And he's like, you obviously
- 1:00:46can't right now. I don't know how you're alive.
- 1:00:49I need to emphasize that. And she's like, all right, well,
- 1:00:52I'm really thirsty. Can you go get me a soda?
- 1:00:56So he goes to get her soda and she sneaks out and she goes to
- 1:00:59his office. But on the way there, she
- 1:01:01notices that the security guy that's guarding tombs is
- 1:01:05missing. Yeah, and if you pay really
- 1:01:08close attention, you can see a little bit of blood splatter on
- 1:01:10the window. Yeah, I didn't catch that.
- 1:01:11Yeah, okay. So she gets into his office and
- 1:01:17she's trying to look for his car keys, and while she's looking,
- 1:01:19she finds a baby face mask in his drawer.
- 1:01:22So gotta say here, there's a deleted scene that happens right
- 1:01:25here, so she thinks that it's him that's the killer and she
- 1:01:29leaves the office and finds Gregory and then confronts him
- 1:01:33about it. Which he denies.
- 1:01:35And then you see the babyface killer behind him in another
- 1:01:38door, and then he goes to investigate it and he ends up
- 1:01:41dying. Yeah, but in this version, she
- 1:01:46just sees him getting stabbed by Babyface.
- 1:01:48So she goes running, ends up being chased into the parking
- 1:01:53garage, and she's like hiding behind some cars.
- 1:01:56And she hits a little fob and it makes his Mercedes go off, which
- 1:02:02gives away her location. But she gets into the car just
- 1:02:04in time and she fucks up somebody else's car.
- 1:02:07And Babyface is smart, moves out of the way.
- 1:02:09So Babyface can't be run over and she drives off and she's so
- 1:02:13fucking excited and she's like. She goes full Jesse Pinkman in
- 1:02:17the final episode of Breaking Yes.
- 1:02:19Yes, she is having a good time until the cop pulls her over.
- 1:02:25And it. I don't blame the cop for being
- 1:02:27like, what are you on? Because she's in a gown so she
- 1:02:32doesn't have her license because she didn't have time to grab it
- 1:02:36because she didn't die this time.
- 1:02:40It's making sense. She's like somebody's trying to
- 1:02:42kill me. I get that.
- 1:02:43Maybe investigate that, but she's like, OK, well, if I'm on
- 1:02:47something. Do I get to go to jail?
- 1:02:49She realizes if she gets to go to jail, she'll be able to
- 1:02:51survive. Yeah, she'll be locked up in a
- 1:02:53little cell. She'll be around cops.
- 1:02:56We've seen other horror movies and know that that doesn't
- 1:02:58always work. But she's hopeful she Even if
- 1:03:00she's wrong, she'll just wake up again.
- 1:03:03What if she ended up in the cell from malignant where like shit
- 1:03:07goes. Oh my God I would love to see
- 1:03:09that real that crossover. I want this to be like a
- 1:03:12multiverse here where. Like all of them are in there.
- 1:03:15Yes, that would be great. But yeah, the cop is
- 1:03:18flabbergasted because you know who's in the cell next door?
- 1:03:21Doug Bradley. Ohh in Ron turn 5.
- 1:03:24Ah, that's soof. You know what?
- 1:03:27I don't know that I don't want a tree to have that fate.
- 1:03:30No, absolutely not. So yeah, the copper ruster puts
- 1:03:33her in the back of the car and then as he's about to get in
- 1:03:35there, babyface runs him over. Yeah, it's pretty intense, yeah.
- 1:03:39And then Babyface comes over and starts to walk up to the car and
- 1:03:43she can't get out because she's the backseat.
- 1:03:44It's a cop car. That's how it works.
- 1:03:45And handcuffs and handcuffed. And babyface turns around and
- 1:03:49she thinks that's weird. And then she sees, she sees them
- 1:03:52hold out a little birthday candle and drop it to the
- 1:03:55ground. And it turns out that the car
- 1:03:57was leaking gas. Yeah, so she gets her one PG13
- 1:04:01fuck right here when she realizes she's about to explode.
- 1:04:04And it's a great explosion. And when this happens, Zoe ran
- 1:04:07to the TV. She wanted to be right up close
- 1:04:09to it. She was.
- 1:04:10So she had been laying on my lap.
- 1:04:12And then she just runs over there and she's.
- 1:04:14Like, I gotta say, this is the coolest part of the movie
- 1:04:17though. When this happens, it's so
- 1:04:18awesome. This morning, this next morning,
- 1:04:23she decides to have a little fun with Carter.
- 1:04:26She's like silence. She's very friendly with him.
- 1:04:30Ryan tries to come in and she says you need to stop referring
- 1:04:33to women as fine vagina and otherwise you and your hand are
- 1:04:36going to be getting a lot closer and.
- 1:04:37Then she thinks them three times is like, naughty boy, that's a
- 1:04:40different one. That's the next one.
- 1:04:41Yeah, OK She Carter wants to know what's happening.
- 1:04:47And she, you know, as they walk through the quad, she is like
- 1:04:51predicting the events as they're happening.
- 1:04:53They go to get food and she talks about the stranded
- 1:04:56relationship with her dad. She says that her mom passed
- 1:04:59away three years ago and they had the same birthday and they
- 1:05:02used to take her out of school and they'd all go to the beach
- 1:05:06and they'd get one cake to share and one single candle that they
- 1:05:09would blow out together. And it's just God.
- 1:05:14It's sad. It's really sad.
- 1:05:16Yeah. It puts more perspective on the
- 1:05:18whole situation. Why She doesn't want to exactly,
- 1:05:21Yeah. But.
- 1:05:22Yeah, it's just a bummer of a story right there.
- 1:05:24Yeah. But as all that's happening, we
- 1:05:26get the new story that is playing that she sees before and
- 1:05:30she gets more of the details this time.
- 1:05:31So Tombs is a serial killer that his victim of choice is a lot
- 1:05:38like tree young blonde women. Yeah, So she figures it's him
- 1:05:43because she's seen him at the hospital.
- 1:05:44So she runs to the hospital and she tells the nursing assistant
- 1:05:47at the desk to call the cops. She's like, he's going to get
- 1:05:50loose. He's going to get loose.
- 1:05:51She goes to Tombs's room. There's no cop outside, and when
- 1:05:54she gets in there, there's no Tombs in the bed.
- 1:05:56She does see a dead cop by the bed and then Tombs comes out and
- 1:06:01he has a baby face mask and a knife.
- 1:06:06She had grabbed the gun from the cop's body, and no babyface had
- 1:06:13grabbed the gun from the cop's body In this loop.
- 1:06:15Yeah, this is all confusing. So Tombs shoots at her.
- 1:06:19Carter comes up, he appears out of nowhere and he tackles Tombs.
- 1:06:24And Tree is obviously emotional seeing Carter there.
- 1:06:29So Tombs is sadistic and breaks his fucking neck.
- 1:06:32Yeah. And then she she goes running,
- 1:06:38she's in a stairwell and she attacks teams that she's gonna
- 1:06:41go for the final blow. And then she's like, if I don't
- 1:06:44reset the day, Carter's gone forever, and then she does a
- 1:06:47full Gwen Stacy on herself. Goes all the way to the top and
- 1:06:50hangs herself. And I have to ask, what the fuck
- 1:06:52is this? Would this type of stairwell be
- 1:06:55in a hospital? Not through like casual access.
- 1:06:59Yeah, I just. I don't understand.
- 1:07:01It would probably be like a maintenance only badge
- 1:07:03situation. Yeah, I It's weird.
- 1:07:06But you know what? Whatever.
- 1:07:07She kills herself, she's like, OK, I'm gonna go save Carter.
- 1:07:09I know who it is. I got everything figured out,
- 1:07:11yeah. And this is where she has her
- 1:07:13good day. Yeah, she approaches it with
- 1:07:15confidence and she's happy and treating everybody nicely.
- 1:07:17Yeah, she borrows Carter's pillow, so when she goes
- 1:07:20outside, she takes look off, guys, sunglasses and she's
- 1:07:23friendly with him. Signs the petition, warns the
- 1:07:25kids about the sprinkler, puts the pillow down for the frat guy
- 1:07:28to fall on. She sees Tim and she's like,
- 1:07:31listen, I know you're gay and that's great.
- 1:07:34You should go find a guy you wanna be with instead of falling
- 1:07:37after me. Yeah, it's not pretending to be
- 1:07:39into something that you're not. And he looks kind of relieved,
- 1:07:42kind of relieved. And that's a nice moment she
- 1:07:46gets. She is nice to little Vietnamese
- 1:07:49sister sitting out front who looks really happy to have
- 1:07:52somebody like, acknowledge her for once.
- 1:07:55Yeah, She tells Danielle that his name is Carter.
- 1:07:59And if I get through this day, I'm gonna have his babies.
- 1:08:01That's a why after one night, from Danielle's perspective,
- 1:08:04from Danielle's perspective, I get it from Tree's perspective.
- 1:08:07Yeah, I get it. Yeah, she goes up to her room
- 1:08:09and she apologized to Lori. She's like, I've always been so
- 1:08:12mean to you and you've always been there for me and just so
- 1:08:14kind. Always like, Oh my God, are we
- 1:08:16that the fuck? Oh no.
- 1:08:19She goes to her class and interrupts it and says, hey
- 1:08:22Doctor Butler, will you come out here for a minute?
- 1:08:25And then she breaks up with him and he's like, don't even think
- 1:08:29that I'm going to let you coast by my class anymore.
- 1:08:31And she's like, I already dropped it.
- 1:08:34Then she shows up to the house meeting with food and stands up
- 1:08:39for Becky and pours chocolate milk on Danielle.
- 1:08:42Becky's chocolate milk. Becky's chocolate milk.
- 1:08:45By the way, you don't need this, But really.
- 1:08:48Yeah. She goes to dinner with her dad
- 1:08:51and they have like an actual real talk.
- 1:08:53Like you can tell they're used to like the small talk cuz like
- 1:08:56how are your classes? And she's like, I don't wanna do
- 1:08:57this. I wanna like actually talk to
- 1:08:59you. And that's a good, like moment
- 1:09:02that they both clearly need it. Yeah.
- 1:09:04They both, just, like, are upfront about the mom and how it
- 1:09:07sucks that she's not there and they don't get to celebrate it
- 1:09:10at the hospital. She makes a bold move, assuming
- 1:09:13that she's going to live through the day.
- 1:09:15Oh yeah. Holding a security guard.
- 1:09:17Yeah, it's not a security guard. This is a full blown cop.
- 1:09:19OK, yeah, she like, holds a knife to his neck, takes his gun
- 1:09:22and then holds him at gunpoint. And he's like, OK, you go get
- 1:09:25your friends, go get the rest of the cops, go get your buddies.
- 1:09:28Yeah, he's like, OK, this is backwards, but sure, when she
- 1:09:31goes into the room, it's very clear that his restraints are
- 1:09:35undone, but she gets way too close anyway.
- 1:09:39And she's like, I know you're awake.
- 1:09:40And when he wakes up she tries to shoot Safety's on so he
- 1:09:43knocks the gun out of her hand. Yep.
- 1:09:46Oh, by the way, before all this, she set her alarm on her.
- 1:09:50She set a timer on her. Yeah, watch for 30 minutes.
- 1:09:53Yeah, we don't know what it is just yet.
- 1:09:55Yeah, but as he like, comes out, he attacks her.
- 1:09:59He's pretty vicious. She tries to get him with a
- 1:10:01knife and just barely misses and gets the door.
- 1:10:03And he was like, it's a shame because I really like you.
- 1:10:07And then she was like, uh oh cuz her alarm goes off and that's
- 1:10:12when the blackout happened. And she ducks behind him, grabs
- 1:10:15the gun and says safety's off this time.
- 1:10:17Boom, Tombs is dead. Yep.
- 1:10:19All right. At the house, she has a nice
- 1:10:22little mullet with Carter. This is their first real date
- 1:10:25and they're gonna share a cupcake and it's gonna be a nice
- 1:10:27night. And then she wakes up back on
- 1:10:30Monday the 18th. Yep.
- 1:10:33And she is a distraught. And she goes to her room and she
- 1:10:37starts packing stuff And Laurie is like, what's up?
- 1:10:40And she goes, I thought that if I stopped running that
- 1:10:42everything would be OK. But you know what?
- 1:10:43That didn't work. Being being a nice person is for
- 1:10:45the birds, man. And then she was like, she was
- 1:10:49saying something and she said something about the cupcake.
- 1:10:51And she was like, I've never eaten the cupcake before.
- 1:10:55And also, you work at the hospital, so you've been
- 1:10:57releasing tombs in case I didn't eat the cupcake, because you
- 1:11:01knew that if I was killed while he was loose, people would just
- 1:11:04blame him. Yep.
- 1:11:05And so she ate the cupcake and died in her sleep last night.
- 1:11:09Yeah, so they are fighting. She's mad that Tree is sleeping
- 1:11:16with Gregory, and Gregory is choosing her over Lori and Tree
- 1:11:21is like, this is over a fucking guy.
- 1:11:23She doesn't say fucking because she already had her one.
- 1:11:25Fuck, but. Yeah, I think we get another one
- 1:11:28here because. Lori says no, that's not all.
- 1:11:31It's also because you're a fucking bitch.
- 1:11:33And then she. You're a dumb bitch.
- 1:11:35You're. A dumb bitch.
- 1:11:36OK, never mind. Only one.
- 1:11:37Fuck yeah. OK, so fight continues.
- 1:11:41Treat The upper hand slams that cupcake into Lori's mouth, and
- 1:11:45Lori immediately panics. Which I'm like, what poison did
- 1:11:49you use? Girl like, super effective.
- 1:11:51Yeah, like, she's like scraping her mouth out.
- 1:11:53And then a tree like grabs the light fixture and kicks Lori out
- 1:11:58of the window and traumatizes that cute little Vietnamese girl
- 1:12:01out front. Like in this reality, she is now
- 1:12:04traumatized, this poor girl. So yeah, everything's fine.
- 1:12:08We cut to her and Carter having dinner again.
- 1:12:12Mmhmm. They watched Danielle on the
- 1:12:14news, making it all about her. Yeah, yeah, it's really funny.
- 1:12:17I also love that trope in movies where it's like a completely
- 1:12:22full of them self person making a tragedy about themselves on
- 1:12:25the news. Yeah, She gets a call from her
- 1:12:29dad. She's like, it's OK, it's OK,
- 1:12:31you know, we'll talk, we'll meet up.
- 1:12:32So that's good. So they also outright
- 1:12:34acknowledge the comparison. The Groundhog, yeah, he was
- 1:12:36like, your whole thing reminds me of Groundhog Day.
- 1:12:38And she's like what? He's like, you know, Bill Murray
- 1:12:40and she's like, I don't know who that is.
- 1:12:42He goes Ghostbusters. And in this moment, I relate to
- 1:12:44Carter more than anything because I feel like that's me
- 1:12:46talking to. Yeah, Yeah.
- 1:12:49So wake up again in Carter's bedroom and she's back in that
- 1:12:52shirt. He's.
- 1:12:54It is, sure. Yeah.
- 1:12:56He's in his little wardrobe. He's like, oh, I folded your
- 1:12:59pants and she like, starts to panic and goes, I'm fucking with
- 1:13:01you, yeah. Which that's like a bold move
- 1:13:04right there, man. That's like she's been through a
- 1:13:06lot of shit right there. But you know what?
- 1:13:08She lets us go. I that's that's Tuesday.
- 1:13:10I like it better than the alternate ending which we will
- 1:13:12briefly recap for you guys. So they saw the time loop.
- 1:13:15Whatever wakes up in the hospital, and her dad and Carter
- 1:13:20are there. And they're like you saw of the
- 1:13:22murder. Yay.
- 1:13:23Everything's good. I'm glad you're not dead.
- 1:13:27And then a doctor comes in. Not Gregory.
- 1:13:31Thank God. Not a doctor.
- 1:13:33Not a doctor. Wife of a doctor.
- 1:13:35It's Okay. My husband's a doctor.
- 1:13:36No, no cuz there is a doctor in there 1st and she's like I'm in
- 1:13:38a lot of pain and he's like well I can't give you pain medicine
- 1:13:41in your current state which I feel like is not real.
- 1:13:45Yeah, well, that's when you give the pain.
- 1:13:48It's like you've been like, oh, we just gave you like a really
- 1:13:51high dose of, like, Dilaudid. Then I understand why they can't
- 1:13:56give her more. Yeah, but that's not the case.
- 1:13:59He's just like no pain medicine until you stop hurting as much.
- 1:14:02Yeah. So yeah, they're like, OK, no
- 1:14:04medicine for you. They walk out, then another one
- 1:14:06comes in, closes the curtains around her bed and trees.
- 1:14:11She's pulling up a syringe full of some red liquid and trees
- 1:14:15like, Oh no, the doctor just said no medicine.
- 1:14:19And the nurse pulls off her face mask and it's actually Stephanie
- 1:14:22Butler. And she's like, this medicine
- 1:14:24isn't for you, it's for me. And then she puts it in her IV
- 1:14:29and then tree dies. And then that's the fucking end
- 1:14:32of the movie there, yeah? Like we see her die, and then
- 1:14:34it's just like, boom, yeah, credits roll.
- 1:14:37It's so freaky, man. Like that.
- 1:14:39That's good for a horror ending. If you wanted to be creepy, if
- 1:14:42you wanted to end on a creepy note, I would have liked that.
- 1:14:44But the one that we get, it's more of an uplifting quite
- 1:14:47harder than I do. Like the idea of potentially all
- 1:14:50of the people on her suspect list, like she just, she gets
- 1:14:53through one day and then she has to live through another.
- 1:14:55Where somebody else on her suspect list is like trying to
- 1:14:57murder her. Yeah, like that would be a good
- 1:14:59way to just have continuous sequels.
- 1:15:01True. But you know what?
- 1:15:02They did this so they could keep the sequel going.
- 1:15:04Yeah, she can't die. So there is a death day too.
- 1:15:07Plus, it just it feels like there's a purpose.
- 1:15:10With the ending, we got it like it wasn't all for nothing.
- 1:15:13Yeah, I guess you could. It would piss people off, maybe
- 1:15:16seeing her just die like that at the end.
- 1:15:18I'm not. I don't have a problem with
- 1:15:22nihilistic endings of movies, you know, like, OK, yeah, shit's
- 1:15:25bleak sometimes, but like, the tone of this movie, I feel like
- 1:15:29that wouldn't have really fit, you know?
- 1:15:30Yeah, it's, yeah, like. Christopher Landon said it was
- 1:15:34like supposed to be a feel good movie and that's not a feel good
- 1:15:37ending right now. Absolutely not.
- 1:15:39It it is an immediate buzzkill of the situation.
- 1:15:42Yeah, for sure. So yeah, that's the end.
- 1:15:46That's the end of the movie. All right.
- 1:15:49Are you changing your rating? I think I've been bumping up to
- 1:15:51a nine. OK?
- 1:15:52I really like this fucking movie.
- 1:15:56I think I'll bump my into, I'll do, I'll do 8.5, cuz yeah, I
- 1:16:01mean this is a really good movie.
- 1:16:02It's not a unique concept, but I think that it's it's well done.
- 1:16:06It's well done. I think it's the first time that
- 1:16:08we've seen it done in this genre and I like having that for this
- 1:16:14in a slasher because I think that, like I said before, it's
- 1:16:16just a fun way to tell that type of story.
- 1:16:18Is there anything you would change about it?
- 1:16:23Well, you know. I'd say I I would like for it to
- 1:16:28be 5050 horror comedy. This one, I feel like it's more
- 1:16:32it's 75 comedy, 25 horror. OK, so a little bit more of
- 1:16:36moments like that. The bedroom scene.
- 1:16:40Yeah, yeah. Cuz I think it would be cool to
- 1:16:41like, you know, you're selling, it's a horror comedy.
- 1:16:44But you know, like, I I want more horror because that's what
- 1:16:46really pulled me in to begin with.
- 1:16:48Well, our average went up half a point.
- 1:16:50OK, so that's good. Talia wanted to go outside at 17
- 1:16:55minutes and 56 seconds. She threw a tantrum at one
- 1:17:00point. A full tantrum.
- 1:17:01She knocked all of her toys and blankets and one of the couch
- 1:17:04cushions to the floor. Yeah, cuz she wasn't getting the
- 1:17:07attention. I didn't even notice that you
- 1:17:09like you told me. It's like quote behind you.
- 1:17:11And then I turned around and the entire cushion was gone.
- 1:17:14It's just gone. I don't know how she did that.
- 1:17:17So I think because she wanted to go out so early on, she knew
- 1:17:21that it was a time loop situation.
- 1:17:23So she was like, it's fine. I'll see this again.
- 1:17:25Yeah, very. Like she's she's seen those
- 1:17:26before. So she's like, yeah, that's
- 1:17:28fine. And then she threw the tantrum
- 1:17:30because Tree was like having to die so many times and couldn't
- 1:17:34figure it out. The murder, she was really
- 1:17:35rooting for her. So I think Talia likes that this
- 1:17:37movie is a movie that, you know, you don't have to pay super
- 1:17:40close attention to and that there are real stakes to it.
- 1:17:44So I think Talia gives us an 8. OK, I agree with that Talia.
- 1:17:48Like this one. Despite the tantrum.
- 1:17:50Despite the tantrum, she's she was frustrated on behalf of
- 1:17:53Tree. She's like, man, this shit
- 1:17:54again. Yeah, OK.
- 1:17:56And Zoe, Zoe watched it, obviously.
- 1:17:58Yeah, she was living for the. She was super into it.
- 1:18:01Yeah, that explosion really, really got her.
- 1:18:04Yeah, that's so excited about. It took it from A9 to A10 right
- 1:18:08there at the moment. All right.
- 1:18:10So who did you relate to? Who didn't relate to?
- 1:18:18There's not a lot of like. Not a lot of characters.
- 1:18:21Like I said, you know, you don't get a like, you get a lot of
- 1:18:23people, but you don't really get any indepth like
- 1:18:27characterizations of most of these people.
- 1:18:29It's very surface level. I guess I probably would relate
- 1:18:32the most to Carter, like nerdy posters, not taking advantage of
- 1:18:36drunk people folding the pants so that way the material doesn't
- 1:18:39wrinkle, referencing movies that you have no idea about.
- 1:18:46Yeah, you know. Yeah, man.
- 1:18:50OK, that's tough shit. Let's see.
- 1:18:59I don't know. Yeah, I I feel like it's either
- 1:19:01gotta be Carter or Tree. You know what I mean?
- 1:19:03Yeah. Tree's such a shitty person.
- 1:19:05I don't really relate to a lot of the stuff that we see most of
- 1:19:08her from. You know what I mean?
- 1:19:10Yeah, I mean, I guess I would have to say, Carter also for a
- 1:19:13lot of the same things that you did this.
- 1:19:16Not fun as that might be. OK, so after that, do we have a
- 1:19:23dream sequel? All right, my dream sequel is
- 1:19:25what I was saying. Where like she's solved 1
- 1:19:29murderer and then she has to really live the next day over
- 1:19:31and over again to solve the next murderer and it's somebody else
- 1:19:34on her suspect list. OK, I think that would be an
- 1:19:36interesting way to keep it going.
- 1:19:37That could be fun, yeah. There's a lot to explore.
- 1:19:39I don't really like the actual sequel they did for this, cuz
- 1:19:42they went scifi with it, yeah, and it just became a different
- 1:19:45type of movie. Keep it.
- 1:19:49Horror. Also, we had to spend so much
- 1:19:51more time with Ryan and he's a Comic Relief character, you know
- 1:19:55what I mean? Yeah, it's it's weird, but I
- 1:20:00don't know. I guess it's.
- 1:20:01I've only seen him one time in theaters.
- 1:20:02Maybe his second watch would help.
- 1:20:04But I like your thing better. Just, yeah, let her have to
- 1:20:07solve another set of murders. Or like maybe?
- 1:20:13I don't know, maybe she solved somebody else's murder.
- 1:20:15Yeah, I'm thinking like maybe somebody else is stuck in a loop
- 1:20:17and she is like a side character in that, you know what I mean?
- 1:20:21Like she made, literally the actual sequel that happened.
- 1:20:24Is it? Is that what happens to somebody
- 1:20:26else die? No.
- 1:20:28Somebody else hasn't died, but somebody else is stuck in a
- 1:20:30loop. Ryan's stuck in a loop.
- 1:20:32I think he does actually get murdered at some point.
- 1:20:34Whatever, You know, whatever. It's just deaths and restarting.
- 1:20:39You know what I mean? Yeah, let's just keep it going.
- 1:20:40How about a day that never ends? No.
- 1:20:44OK. OK, whatever.
- 1:20:45All right. So we got it there.
- 1:20:47New tagline, What was it that you said before?
- 1:20:52What was the? Find your Killer or Die trying.
- 1:20:55Find your killer or die trying. I wanna punch it up to find your
- 1:20:57killer and die trying. Find your killer and die trying.
- 1:21:01Yeah. OK, Yeah.
- 1:21:03Let's just alter it. Yeah.
- 1:21:05Yeah, yeah, we can do that here. It's our rules.
- 1:21:07We can do it. Yeah.
- 1:21:09Who's gonna stop us? Yeah, exactly, you guys.
- 1:21:11Maybe. Maybe.
- 1:21:12Say it. Yeah, if you're like, that's
- 1:21:14dumb. Yeah, okay, Sorry.
- 1:21:18Okay, now we got reviews all right.
- 1:21:21So I pulled a say review from IMDb of course.
- 1:21:27So this one was a 2 out of 10. Jesus they say.
- 1:21:32Wow, this is really a rip off of Groundhog Day.
- 1:21:35They even acknowledge it in the movie.
- 1:21:37It also had wooden acting, inconsistencies of gore, and
- 1:21:40zero scare factor. The PG13 rating was a dead
- 1:21:43giveaway, as that's a sign and a bad sign in a horror movie.
- 1:21:47Kind of inspired me to get the list of the PG thirteens to
- 1:21:50compare to which a lot of those had bad scores.
- 1:21:53Anyways, the lead actress looks like she could be on her way to
- 1:21:56some success, but just not in this.
- 1:21:59The most irritating part for me not giving anything away due to
- 1:22:03the trailer, is that no matter how long or short the she
- 1:22:06lingers on the repeated opening scenario, the next sequence of
- 1:22:10events are always in the same. That just wouldn't happen.
- 1:22:14That wouldn't be the case in real life anyway.
- 1:22:16I wanted to like it, as it had a good premise, but it just didn't
- 1:22:19do it for me. I like that point about no
- 1:22:21matter how long she's in the dorm room, this stuff happens
- 1:22:24the same way. I thought about that too when we
- 1:22:26were watching it and it is kind of I kind of just was like
- 1:22:28whatever, like you know, I have a general role with time loop,
- 1:22:32time travel, movies and it's don't think too hard about it.
- 1:22:36I'm just wondering how long is what's his name?
- 1:22:39Tim hiding behind right the banister.
- 1:22:42Like, is he waiting for her? Does he know that she's gonna be
- 1:22:45doing a walk of shame? So my I guess I can see why
- 1:22:50people might not like this movie.
- 1:22:52I know some people want their horror movies to be R rated
- 1:22:54because it makes it a little bit grittier.
- 1:22:57Horror isn't always necessarily family friendly.
- 1:23:00I think it's nice to have a little bit more family friendly
- 1:23:02options for younger horror fans that maybe aren't ready for the
- 1:23:05more intense stuff. And I can see being a little bit
- 1:23:09fatigued by time loop stuff because it it it does get used
- 1:23:13in a lot of things. But.
- 1:23:15I felt like it was fresh in this, the way it was used, at
- 1:23:18least, Yeah. I think it was used in a unique
- 1:23:20way because we've never really seen like a murder mystery spin
- 1:23:23on it, so. Yeah, I mean, I also, although
- 1:23:26we did have a trailer for basically the exact same thing
- 1:23:30at the beginning of the DVD. That's true.
- 1:23:32Yeah. Oh my God, it is a lot more
- 1:23:34dramatic looking. Yeah, it's like a drama, I
- 1:23:36think. Whatever.
- 1:23:37It's all the Before I Fall. I think so.
- 1:23:40I agree that the scare factor could have been punched up, but.
- 1:23:44You know, I'm not going to like necessarily knock it for that
- 1:23:46because, you know, that's I guess that's not exactly the
- 1:23:49movie it it was like the trailer was indicating it was going to
- 1:23:54be more horror, which is why I was really into the idea of it.
- 1:23:59In the first place, and it didn't bother me, I still love
- 1:24:01the movie after watching it, but I'm not gonna say no to upping
- 1:24:04the scare factor and anything like that.
- 1:24:06Yeah, and I I don't really think the acting is wooden at all.
- 1:24:11I think Jessica Ross does great. I think Carter's actor is pretty
- 1:24:14solid too, and I think it's gonna seem wooden when you have
- 1:24:17to hear the same actors repeat the same lines a dozen times.
- 1:24:21Yeah, of course it's gonna come across as repetitive and
- 1:24:24redundant. They can't.
- 1:24:26The people that aren't in the time loop are gonna do the same
- 1:24:31delivery generally. Yeah, for the most part, yeah.
- 1:24:33But yeah, whatever. I can see why people would maybe
- 1:24:36not be happy with it, but let's talk about other people here
- 1:24:40that have feelings about this movie.
- 1:24:42So we got our listen reviews. Okay and I've got a couple here
- 1:24:45on Instagram. So First off we have tygoto 3.
- 1:24:50It says it's like if Groundhog's Day try it to be scary but
- 1:24:54failed like a strong five out of 10/5 out of 10 just for the
- 1:24:58concept. Okay, You don't exactly kind of
- 1:25:01like that right there. If it's not, if it didn't meet
- 1:25:04what your expectations were, if you thought it was gonna be more
- 1:25:07scary, I could see why you would be let down from this, yeah.
- 1:25:11Next up is Cube Saves, she says. I don't love these movies, but
- 1:25:14I'll watch as many as they make. I agree with that.
- 1:25:18Like I love these movies. I didn't love the second one,
- 1:25:21but that's not gonna stop me from watching that third one if
- 1:25:23it absolutely. Yeah, And they've confirmed that
- 1:25:26they have an idea for the third one.
- 1:25:27They've wanted to, they just haven't been greenlit to do so.
- 1:25:30OK. But yeah, I would be totally on
- 1:25:33board for part three. And we have one more review over
- 1:25:37on Twitter, and it is from Chad, OK, Chad says.
- 1:25:40Ooh, love this movie and didn't think I would.
- 1:25:43That Chris Landon guy has got one hell of a track record.
- 1:25:46I'm still not over you wounding me though, Trav.
- 1:25:48I may withhold hugs next time I see you.
- 1:25:51That's a lie. You know I can't do that.
- 1:25:54For those curious, Chad is currently furious at Travis for
- 1:25:58cutting his hair. I cut off a lot of my hair.
- 1:26:01I'm back on the short hair. It's honestly not even that
- 1:26:05short by like most ideas of a short haircut for men.
- 1:26:09But compared to what it was, it's a.
- 1:26:12This is all like 6 inches. This is classic Travis right
- 1:26:15here. You know what?
- 1:26:15This is what I was looking like fresh out of college.
- 1:26:17I think pretty much. But yeah, I I like it.
- 1:26:20I'm, I'm happy with my hair right now.
- 1:26:22I'm sorry, Chad. You know, I get it.
- 1:26:24Long hair. People gotta stick together.
- 1:26:26But I'll be back. I'm sure he'll grow out
- 1:26:29eventually. Get his hair?
- 1:26:30Yeah, he gets a haircut once every two years.
- 1:26:32So yeah, it'll it'll get more again.
- 1:26:35And that's it. That is it for our reviews, and
- 1:26:38that's it for this week's episode.
- 1:26:39All right. So as you all know, next week is
- 1:26:44the start of a new month, the best month, best month of the
- 1:26:47year. And we are continuing our
- 1:26:50tradition of exposing ourselves to new movies.
- 1:26:54Yes. So we're going to take turns
- 1:26:56showing each other a movie The other hasn't seen and.
- 1:27:00See you first. Yes.
- 1:27:02So that means we're starting off with, Are you guys ready for
- 1:27:05this? We're gonna start off with the
- 1:27:06Lost Boys because Travis has never seen it.
- 1:27:09That's right, guys. I've never seen the Lost Boys.
- 1:27:11Everybody gives me shit every single time.
- 1:27:13I told him that. I can't wait to see that trumpet
- 1:27:15man saxophone. Trumpet.
- 1:27:18That's sad. You know that's.
- 1:27:20I've not seen it. I thought it was a Trump
- 1:27:22trombone. We've literally met him.
- 1:27:25I know. I saw him perform.
- 1:27:29Yeah. I I don't know, man.
- 1:27:31OK, granted, this is the end of the month, so who knows what
- 1:27:34licensing rights will renew as of the first, but right now you
- 1:27:39can stream it on Pluto TV, Fubo TV, Phylo, Sling TV Premium, or
- 1:27:44you can rent it from YouTube, Google Play, Red Box, Voodoo, or
- 1:27:47Prime. OK, cool.
- 1:27:48So free options out there for people.
- 1:27:49A lot of options. Definitely check it out.
- 1:27:53I haven't watched it since I was got in middle school, so I'm
- 1:27:57really cool. Yeah, it's gonna be almost fresh
- 1:27:59for me, so I'm really excited about.
- 1:28:01It I'm excited to see what everybody is saying about this
- 1:28:05movie. I don't know anything that
- 1:28:06happens in it either. I've been in the dark on it, so
- 1:28:09nothing. We got both the quarries in it.
- 1:28:12Double Corey action? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:28:14Haven't talked about Corey Feldman since the Friday the
- 1:28:1613th days. It's been about two years,
- 1:28:17haven't talked about him on the podcast.
- 1:28:19We were talking about him earlier this week and the fact
- 1:28:22that he performed at a Riot Fest.
- 1:28:24Just trying to get her friends Eric and B.
- 1:28:26B to go see him. All right.

- 1:30:02Yeah, we had Robert its own here who was very anti scream and we
- 1:30:06are still friends with him. He messaged me the other day.
- 1:30:08By the way his wife had him watch Scream again for spooky
- 1:30:13season. He's like, you know what, I
- 1:30:14liked it that time, yes. Yeah, So look, we even change
- 1:30:17people here. Duh.
- 1:30:18Duh. We didn't change him.
- 1:30:19His wife did. Yeah, his.

- 1:31:06Wow. OK.
- 1:31:07OK. All right.
- 1:31:08Continue. So.
