• 1:14
to 70x80, the section of 7080 .it dedicated to
• 1:19
the deepening of the topics discussed in the
• 1:21
articles of the portal. We are with the director
• 1:23
Massimo Lualdi who introduces the topic of today.
• 1:26
What are we talking about today? the single from
• 1:44
the previous year, Igor Rock from the Australian
• 1:46
band Daddy Cool. In reality, the sounds of the
• 2:16
hit Little Darling by the Diamonds seem more
• 2:20
evident in Elton John's song. The chorus of the
• 2:55
song also reminds us a lot of Speedy Gonzales
• 2:58
by Pat Boone, shot in Italian by Peppino Di Capri.
• 3:18
We decided, well, why don't we start our own
• 3:21
label? And everybody sort of sat around then,
• 3:23
yeah. And then the next morning, everyone turned
• 3:26
to each other and said, well, are we serious?
• 3:28
And there was Gus Dutton, Bernie Toggin, John
• 3:30
Reed, Steve Brown and myself. And we said, yeah,
• 3:32
why not? Elemento di spicco in Crocodile Rock
• 3:34
è l 'evidenza dell 'organo suonato da Elton,
• 3:37
riconoscibile per il suono carnevalesco e il
• 3:40
ritmo honky -tonk. Search the page and the group
• 4:09
of 7080 .it on Facebook and relive with us your
• 4:12
most beautiful years. Crocodile Rock was Elton
• 4:15
John's first single to reach the first position
• 4:17
in the United States, but also in many other
• 4:19
nations, including Italy, and to have sold more
• 4:22
than a million copies. Elton John's song also
• 4:25
remained in the Billboard Hot 100 ranking for
• 4:29
three weeks in Canada, for four weeks in Italy
• 4:32
and for five weeks. The point of starting the
• 4:46
record company was to encourage people who got
• 4:48
that spark of potential to sort of encourage
• 4:50
them onwards, because I needed that when I started
• 4:52
off and I really didn't get it half the time.
• 4:55
In Switzerland, however, he slumped for three
• 4:57
weeks and reached the third position in Germany
• 4:59
and Norway. Finally, Crocodile Rock ranked fifth
• 5:02
in the United Kingdom, sixth in Austria. The
• 5:20
whole reason for starting a record label was
• 5:22
to get away from the, well you must record an
• 5:24
album in 15 hours type syndrome and also we give
• 5:27
out, most of our artists get at least 10 % record
• 5:30
royalties which is very, very high. That's another
• 5:34
one of the reasons. David Johnson, for example,
• 5:36
has been making his album. Dave, if you're listening,
• 5:38
hurry up. Numerose le cover tra le più note quelle
• 5:40
di Bob the Builder, dei Beach Boys, dei Bahamen,
• 5:44
di Little Tony e di Nelly Furtado. Grazie al
• 5:48
direttore di 7080 .it, Massimo Lualdi, per aver
• 5:51
  trattato l 'argomento giornaliero. Appuntamento
