- 0:23Now let's get into today's topic.
- 0:29What that's what we'll say that that's not discounted.
- 0:33That's that's I, I rarely have ever, and I'm going to talk
- 0:36about that in a second, but I rarely have ever discount huddle
- 0:39one. If I do, it's probably at 12.8.
- 0:43But other than that, we keep it at 13.
- 0:45We normally keep it at 13 and normal height.
- 0:48Everything else is discounted and lower.
- 0:51If you see her, she's nice and tight to the hurdle.
- 0:53She does a really good job. So I'll, I'll point, I'll point
- 0:56out a couple things. This is 2 meters from the
- 0:59hurdles. This is 1.6 from the hurdle.
- 1:02So we want to land, you see how far she land.
- 1:05We want to land somewhere near this hurdle.
- 1:07Kayla gets away with it because she is fast.
- 1:10Kayla McCall was a 1177 high school 100m runner.
- 1:18And then she went out to college and a whole lot of life
- 1:21happened. And then she found her way back
- 1:23to Olivet Nazarene 2 years ago. And so the last year and a half
- 1:26we've been getting speed back. She gets away with a lot of
- 1:28stuff that an average her little will not get away with.
- 1:32She's really strong. She's really fast and she has a
- 1:35really fast lead in trouble. And so she'll get away with
- 1:39being a little bit farther because she don't she understand
- 1:42how to cut her steps better. One second.
- 1:44Hold on. He he had it.
- 1:45Yeah. In the same position that you're
- 1:47saying she's going on with. Great.
- 1:53So you'll be sitting. So when I talk about her being
- 1:56tall, when she planted, she she was right here, right?
- 1:59If she's sitting, she's going to look like this.
- 2:01So it's like she's kind of loading up.
- 2:03But it also means she took a longer stepping out of short
- 2:05step. Even with long jump, you don't
- 2:11really want to sit. You want to kind of pin ultimate
- 2:13and and ride the board, right? So here the difference is we
- 2:17know we're still going. I mean, long jump, you're
- 2:19trying, you're trying to get height here.
- 2:22We're just trying to go forward. And so that's why it's more
- 2:24important with also with long jump, once you hit the board,
- 2:28you punch up. We're not punching up.
- 2:30She's leading with her knee going this way, right?
- 2:33And she does a really good job of getting her foot.
- 2:36Once her hips get to hurdle height, that lead leg unfolds.
- 2:40And as soon as her heel crosses there, she's back down to the
- 2:42ground. Like that's the biggest thing
- 2:44we're talking about getting off the huddle quick.
- 2:46One of the cues that I use is once your heel is even with the
- 2:49hurdle, get it to the ground, get that heel to the ground.
- 2:52Because no matter how many trail drills you do, I've never seen a
- 2:58kid get their foot to the ground and they show leg don't fall.
- 3:02The quicker we get this motion here, the quicker that legs on
- 3:04the follow foot, right? And so they're all connected
- 3:06together. And once we get kids to
- 3:08understand that, then it makes it a little bit easier, which is
- 3:11why I don't like doing a lot of journaling.
- 3:13I like it. I like live action hurdling over
- 3:151-2 and three hurdles. And so we can video it.
- 3:19We video everything. I have an iPad in my son's room
- 3:23because he keeps confiscating because he's not.
- 3:25And he likes to watch Fortnite and everything else that's full
- 3:28of just Olivet track videos. And I've only been there for
- 3:32three seasons. Like when I say fool, it's like
- 3:36probably that thing has 300 gigabytes.
- 3:38It's probably got 200 and some gigabytes of just hurdle videos
- 3:41on it and and Sprint videos because we video everything.
- 3:45Days of the 100 powerful start take off Foster again.
- 3:49We want to hit the ground and go landing.
- 3:51We want to be quick to the ground and off the ground.
- 3:54We want to create a three-step rhythm in between the hurdle.
- 3:58Again, that's a fast three-step. How do we do that when we fight
- 4:02this, when I coach hurdles, we never practice huddling at the
- 4:07normal distance. That's one.
- 4:09If we are for the women, we start early fall at 7:50.
- 4:14Then we work our way up. Right now the women are at
- 4:17around 8 meters, 805 in between huddles Right now, about 3 weeks
- 4:23out from from our first was really, really.
- 4:26Next week the women will move to 830 and they'll stay at 8:30
- 4:32through the whole season. They will never touch 850 in a
- 4:34practice. We always want them thinking and
- 4:37moving fast. So we create that fast rhythm.
- 4:42How do we make sure we do that? Again, we condense everything.
- 4:46We mix in five step rhythm, We mix in three-step rhythms and we
- 4:49film and we split everything. We can go to the next slide.
- 4:54So again, some of the same things.
- 4:56You're going to see a lot of me repeating the same thing because
- 4:58these are the, these are the parameters that we use posture
- 5:01and stability. I want to be nice and tall.
- 5:03I want my hips high. I want my pelvis and my
- 5:06shoulders facing this or when I hurdle, meaning if I'm going to
- 5:09hurdle, I got to go my way. I used to be a component of kids
- 5:13reading and watch. Well, the problem with that is
- 5:17kids don't know how to stop by here because they have no
- 5:18coordination. They, they do this and the arm
- 5:21go way over here. And what happens if I'm hurdling
- 5:23this way? Now as I come down, my shoulders
- 5:26are facing this way, which means I got to turn here to go
- 5:30forward. So now we take that lead on and
- 5:34they must punch that, that hand to their toe.
- 5:38Now again, if I have a kid that does this and we're fine, we
- 5:42leave it. If you're a kid to do this or a
- 5:44kid to do this, hand has to go to your toe.
- 5:47It has to like I don't, I don't allow athletes to well, I can't
- 5:53do it. Well, you can't be a hurdler
- 5:54because these are the demands of the event.
- 5:57If you're going to hurdle, these are the demands of the event.
- 6:00So we're going to give you the drills, We're going to wrap it,
- 6:04and we're going to wrap it and we're going to wrap it.
- 6:07And if you can't understand that, guess what?
- 6:09There are other events in track and field.
- 6:12We're going to put you somewhere else because I'm not going to
- 6:16put you on the track just to appease you, your parents or
- 6:20whomever and have you look bad. I don't do public embarrassment,
- 6:25so I'm not going to put you out there to do public embarrassment
- 6:28or to get hurt. So I'm not that coach that says,
- 6:32hey, we'll just let them go try it.
- 6:33No, we're not. If we can't do it in practice,
- 6:36we're not doing that. To me, it's it's just that
- 6:39simple. She could have tested this on
- 6:41the high school level with me. She coached with me there.
- 6:43I'm they coached with me on the club level.
- 6:45I am that way. Parents don't like it.
- 6:49We can have a conversation about it.
- 6:50I can explain that to you. After that, God bless you.
- 6:53This is what we're doing. Progression again, 12/8 to 13
- 6:58minutes. I'd say high schoolers, high
- 7:00school coaches, because you have a shorter season.
- 7:02I would start my young ladies out at around 780 and progress
- 7:06to 8:30. Again, I start mine out at 7:50
- 7:08because they we got a long season.
- 7:11We literally, we literally are in season from September to May.
- 7:14So we have a longer time to play with high school Illinois, you
- 7:17guys are January to to May. If you're a club coach, probably
- 7:22October to May, right? Got a little bit of time to play
- 7:24with me. On the other hand, again, as a
- 7:28high school, as a college coach, I get the kind of recruit who I
- 7:30want, but I'm also at an AI school, so I also take what I
- 7:34can get sometimes, right again, so I have three nine step, four
- 7:38step young ladies. I took them and signed them
- 7:40because I watched their video and was like, why are we doing
- 7:43this? And then when I talked to their
- 7:44coaches, oh I know why y'all doing this because your coach
- 7:47told you to do it. OK, cool, let's see if we can
- 7:50change that. And so we we work those things,
- 7:53we can move to the next one floating.
- 7:57So we talk about floating. Floating is when you see that
- 8:00hurdle, they're nice and high over the hurdle and then they're
- 8:03landing 2 meters 3 minutes away from the hurdle.
- 8:06And then they're trying to figure out why can't I get
- 8:09enough speed in between the hurdles.
- 8:11You can't get speed in between the hurdle because you left
- 8:13yourself no room. Like if I'm going from into this
- 8:18table to the beginning of this table, I got to go 3 steps, but
- 8:21I'm landing right here. I can't generate speed to get
- 8:26there. So I'll get there in three.
- 8:28It's going to be a three chop or it's going to be a three bound
- 8:31and it's going to be A125130 split in between the hurdle.
- 8:36And then I'm going to be mad because we've wrapped this
- 8:39already. Why are we doing this right?
- 8:41So floating again, the biggest way you killed that is how do we
- 8:45take off? Did I plant and start jumping
- 8:48fences like I did when I was learning how to hurdle in high
- 8:50school? Because no one taught me.
- 8:52They just said, hey, we started to jump that fence.
- 8:54Do that same thing over the hurdles.
- 8:55I told Mike this on the podcast. That's that, that that was my
- 8:58introduction to hurdling. I jumped over the fence the day
- 9:00before track practice. The coach saw it the next week.
- 9:03I was going to track me. He said, hey, I put you in the
- 9:05hurdle. What do you mean do what?
- 9:07Do what you did today, do what you did over the fence.
- 9:10So for three years I jumped over fences in practice.
- 9:13I just happened to be fast enough and strong enough to get
- 9:15through it to where a college was like, hey, we can fix that
- 9:18on the State University tried to fix that.
- 9:20They said, hey, we're going to move to the 400 hurdles instead.
- 9:23So, you know, yeah, that was my introduction to hurdles.
- 9:27So again, how do we take off? Are we taking off nice and tall
- 9:31so we can go forward or we jumping hurdles?
- 9:33If we're jumping fences, we're going to float.
- 9:36If we're not getting that foot back down to the ground, you're
- 9:39going to float. So again, we want to be tall.
- 9:42We want same thing as sprinting, tall hips attacking the ground.
- 9:47We're doing that. We can push through and I can
- 9:50get my foot off the ground sitting that clearance.
- 9:53Now let's say we fix this. Then they get over the hurdle
- 9:56and because they're trying to be small over the hurdle, they do
- 9:59this number right. I don't like that cue.
- 10:03I don't, I don't want you to be small over hurdle.
- 10:05If you're in the right position and you're punching forward,
- 10:08your body's going to collapse anyway.
- 10:10You don't have to overcompensate your body getting small over the
- 10:14hurdle. If you're punching forward.
- 10:16Everything comes together because they all work together.
- 10:19So fix that. Fix that over recently, like
- 10:23what we talked about earlier about why we're not casting out
- 10:25again. Because just like in sprinting,
- 10:28if I'm casting out, I'm landing on my heel, so I can't
- 10:32accelerate. With hurdling, you get one step
- 10:35every hurdle to to reaccelerate or reaccelerate, right?
- 10:38And that's if I come off the hurdle, this next step, I'm
- 10:42there. But if I come off the hurdle and
- 10:45I'm in there like this and I go here, my hips are behind me.
- 10:49Just like in sprinting or open Sprint, I can't go forward until
- 10:52my hips are here. So if we know that if I come off
- 10:56that hurdle 42 and 3, then we Hoddle, right?
- 11:01And so that's why we don't want to overreach.
- 11:06And again, how do we fix that? You can drill it all day long at
- 11:10a slower speed, or you can put them over, reduce hurdles, film
- 11:15it, wrap it, wrap it, watch it, explain why we don't do it, why
- 11:21we don't want to do it so the right way, and then keep
- 11:24wrapping it. I like repetitions because for
- 11:27me, practice makes permanent right?
- 11:30And so we're going to try to wrap the correct way the correct
- 11:34way every time. Slow trail leg.
- 11:37My own 13 year old daughter is very bad at that.
- 11:42Yes, if you bring the lead leg through, quick troll leg will
- 11:45follow. Can you help that troll leg come
- 11:48faster? Yes, you can.
- 11:50You better develop strong hip flexors, you better develop.
- 11:54You better develop an awareness to come through flat, keep heel
- 11:57tucked to the butt and pull through right again, we'll wrap
- 12:02that because we'll do reps over the side of the hurdle with just
- 12:05troll leg or we'll put we'll have a hurdle and then I'll have
- 12:10a cone or a wicket over here as the as the other hurdle and they
- 12:15got a hurdle over that wicket while troll legging over a 27 or
- 12:2030 inch hurdle. Not my decisions, not my slow
- 12:24troll leg. These are the things.
- 12:25These are how I know how to fix it.
- 12:26So either you can't get it over the regular drills, then we will
- 12:30put you your body in position to where if you don't do, you're
- 12:34going to bang a hurdle. If you don't like banging
- 12:38hurdles, then tuck your heel into your butt and get it
- 12:45through. A short level is going to move
- 12:47quicker than a long one. Again, I do a lot, We do a lot
- 12:51of talking in our practice because I only want quality
- 12:55reps. I don't want to just have reps,
- 12:57just to have reps. So we talk through it, we
- 12:59explain it and we look for quality reps.
- 13:02I'm not just like coach said earlier about writing the
- 13:05workout up, I'm notorious for putting the workout on our
- 13:08practice sheet and then we Get the facts and we get into
- 13:10practice and I'm like OK, yeah, we're done.
- 13:12I don't want to see any more of this and it'd be self factual.
- 13:14Either y'all killed the workout and y'all was really good or
- 13:18y'all was really bad and I'm just going to go home and start
- 13:20over tomorrow. Or, or posture and mechanics
- 13:26start to fail. A lot of coaches are guilty of I
- 13:29put it on this paper, we going to do this on this paper.
- 13:31Well, what's the point in doing that?
- 13:33If you get through three reps of your six and that Rep 3, the
- 13:37posture is out the window. Now you've just done 3 reps of
- 13:42bad mechanics. And from the first piece this
- 13:45morning, we talked about bad mechanics of if I strike out in
- 13:47front of me, I'm telling up a half screen.
- 13:51If I'm flat, I'm just going slow.
- 13:53And again, I like quality. Like my well, we had practice
- 13:56this morning at that's how bad I am.
- 13:59My track team, they come to my house for Halloween, right?
- 14:01And so the sprinters came over last night Halloween, right,
- 14:03with my kids trick or treat eating candy.
- 14:06We had 7:00 AM practice this morning.
- 14:08We had 7:00 AM practice this morning.
- 14:10They walked in and I had cones set up everywhere.
- 14:12They was like cook. You just had, I didn't say you
- 14:15eat candy yesterday. You knew we had practice on.
- 14:18You knew we had practice on Saturday, on Sunday when I sent
- 14:20it out to you, you made the decision to come out here and,
- 14:23and and eat all the candy and sweets.
- 14:26So therefore we're going to practice.
- 14:28Practice wasn't hard. They didn't know that because
- 14:30they saw Cone set up. They was like oh he's going to
- 14:32kill us. They did, they did a warm up of
- 14:3520 minute warm up. They did wickets, they did fly
- 14:3930s and then they did 2 knives. And you would have thought the
- 14:43people that was eating candy last night, you would have
- 14:45thought we did 5 hundreds. It was lining up at the track.
- 14:48You'll see it on social media later.
- 14:50It'll be out tomorrow on social media.
- 14:51It was like with the trash can throwing up.
- 14:52I was like, y'all didn't do nothing hard.
- 14:55But it kind of that kind of goes back into what Coach BJ said a
- 14:58minute ago about athletes taking care of their bodies.
- 15:02It all plays a part into it, right?
- 15:04You knew you got practiced at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning.
- 15:07You know, you have me as a coach and I'm petty.
- 15:09So you don't know what's going to happen on that practice,
- 15:11right? They did.
- 15:14We talked about me. You go ahead, go back, go back
- 15:16once me look one more because we talked about that already.
- 15:20Look forward 7 seven verse 8. So I don't coach seven step
- 15:25hurdlers. I don't like them because I
- 15:27understand that if I if I can seven step and I'm not strong
- 15:31enough, I can get there, but I'm going to pay for it down the
- 15:34line. It's going to show somewhere
- 15:35down the line, right. A lot of people are seven step
- 15:39in now and most of them are seven step, especially at the
- 15:42high school level. They can't get to the other end.
- 15:46There was a young lady in this state, she's doing phenomenal
- 15:48right now in college. She was A7 stepper in high
- 15:50school and she was one of the most inconsistent ladies in the
- 15:54state. Phenomenal talent, but she
- 15:56couldn't be consistent at 7 steps because she just wasn't
- 16:00strong enough. So for me, we teach an 8 step
- 16:03pattern of, again, we drill it every day.
- 16:05We drill that pattern every day with or without her.
- 16:07Yes Sir, yes, that's what I was trying to get the freeze to.
- 16:11So when she's doing her wall drill, that's what we want to
- 16:13look like footage. Just be up.
- 16:16We're not, we're not going to flatten to the other, but this
- 16:18is almost, almost perfect. Take off 2 meters, 2 meters, 2
- 16:27meters, 2 meters. She's at, she's at.
- 16:30And that's actually Kayla. So Kayla's probably at 2.2.
- 16:33She's probably at 2.2 right now. But ankles lock, knee lock, hip
- 16:38lock, knee up, toe up, shoulders blocking.
- 16:43She's looking down the track. Yes, Sir.
- 16:45When you're saying rich, are you talking about that lead arm?
- 16:48So when So when she goes out her left, her right arm is going to
- 16:52her right arm is just going to stop here.
- 16:54But yes, so the lead arm of the opposite leg is going to go.
- 16:58Yeah. So like if she's if she's the
- 16:59left leg lead, we're talking about the right arm.
- 17:01I'm just making sure I understood.
- 17:06Yep. Again, we do a lot of three
- 17:08everything we do with the hurdles, they do it out of a
- 17:09three-point. They're, they're not allowed
- 17:11when we're actually starting to hurdle to, to, to do a 2 point
- 17:15because you're never going to start erasing A2 point.
- 17:17And if you do, you're not running hurdles.
- 17:18For me, it just looks odd. You cannot accelerate standing
- 17:21up like this. It's not physically possible
- 17:24because the rule of acceleration is my shins have to be parallel
- 17:27to the ground. You cannot push the track behind
- 17:31you if your shins aren't parallel to the ground.
- 17:33So I don't let them start like this.
- 17:36I love picking on Caleb because you know, I love her.
- 17:39She's one of the laziest hurdles I have because she will start
- 17:41like this every time. But again, I like I talked
- 17:44about, she's really fast, but when she's at her best, she's
- 17:47doing it the correct way. And so we try.
- 17:49My goal with her is I need you to do it the correct way 80% of
- 17:53the time because I know 20% you're going to do your own
- 17:55thing anyway. I'm not finding that daughter
- 17:57with you. I'm OK with that.
- 17:59But also with that, don't get mad at me if that 20% show up in
- 18:03a meet. So that's a compromise.
- 18:06I'll let you have your 20%, but if it's open to me, it's on you,
- 18:10not on me. Because 80% of the time I taught
- 18:12you the correct way and you chose to do it 80% of the time.
- 18:15Not just not, not 100% of the time.
- 18:17And for the most part, she's been blessed to be able to
- 18:21navigate and be on the podium since she's done with us.
- 18:23Right? But again, she's talented.
- 18:25What about my 4 steppers? My 4 steppers don't get that
- 18:28leeway. My 16 second holders don't get
- 18:31that leeway. Until you run a certain thing,
- 18:33you don't have a say so or leeway.
- 18:36These are the these are the ways that we're doing it because we
- 18:38know if you do it this way, you'll get to the 13th next
- 18:42slide for me, I got through most of our advocates.
- 18:45We can we talk about that too. We can keep going.
- 18:48I jumped around. We can keep going.
- 18:51Talk about that too. Keep going.
- 18:52I'm going to send you guys this PowerPoint.
- 18:54I'm just trying to see what I did keep going.
- 18:58This is rhythm and touchdown times again, we film everything
- 19:01I use. If you don't, if you have a HP
- 19:05laptop, a non Mac product and you're trying to find a good
- 19:09filming thing that you can do splits on Canova is a free thing
- 19:14you can download on your desktop.
- 19:16Keep going until you see videos from me.
- 19:21Boom boom, boom. We talked about all this stuff
- 19:23I've been jumping on. That's why I put that tablet
- 19:25down because I'm not going to jump around.
- 19:26There we go. Nope, keep going for me, that's
- 19:29I I want to get to this. OK, so as you see it here, you
- 19:31can just play that one through. You're going to watch the hurdle
- 19:34splits and touchdowns come down. This is my young lady that two
- 19:36weeks ago she was 4 stepping. She is now a three stepper as of
- 19:40Friday. This is her first time 3
- 19:42stepping and those hurdles are at 8 meters.
- 19:47And so her hurdle splits are going to be up here are not
- 19:50going to be great because her frequency isn't there yet.
- 19:53Now that we got her three stepping, now we can work on
- 19:56frequency. So she's in the one 20s and then
- 20:001:30. Which means she's probably going
- 20:02to run 15 high if she keeps that way, right?
- 20:04For us, you're competitive at conference at 15 high, you don't
- 20:08sniff the national meet at 15 high.
- 20:09It takes 1398 to get to the NAI national meet and it took last
- 20:15year, it took 1356 to make that final.
- 20:18But we got her the three steps. So now we'll spend the next six
- 20:22weeks working on frequency. How do we do that?
- 20:24We take the Hodles away. I put wickets out at the same
- 20:26distance as the Hodles and we just wrap that over and over.
- 20:31I take away the fear of the tall hurdle, put a baby hurdle out
- 20:34there and they go. If that's too scary, I turn the
- 20:36hurdle over, Let them run over that.
- 20:38But we train it at the frequency of the actual hurdle, not at
- 20:43like some arbitrary number we know.
- 20:46I got 8.5 meters in between the hurdles.
- 20:49Take away 2 meters. Take away 2 meters.
- 20:52Divide those other three steps in there.
- 20:54Put your wickets out of those three steps.
- 20:56Just run that pattern because it's not going to change the
- 20:58whole world. It's never going to change.
- 21:00I'm going to land two. I'm going to land 1 1/2 two
- 21:03meters off the back of the hurdle.
- 21:04I'm going to take off at 2 meters.
- 21:06Every time you make it a rhythm, I put cones down.
- 21:11My athletes hate when I put cones down because they know I'm
- 21:13actually watching. You make sure you're hitting the
- 21:14cones and they freak them out sometime.
- 21:17But again, that's that's what it is.
- 21:20So I use cones. I use mini, I use mini wickets
- 21:25in between sometime too. Just when I feel like being
- 21:28petty, I'll put mini wickets instead of the cones.
- 21:31And so now you are either going to get your feet up, hit the
- 21:33wickets. You're not going to go over the
- 21:35hurdle because you're going to hit the wicket on the top.
- 21:37I understand that, but I want you getting your feet up and
- 21:40getting them back to the ground. So we'll put wickets in there,
- 21:43we'll put hurdles in there. And if I have a kid that don't
- 21:45like put their arms down, what I tend to do, I'll take another
- 21:47hurdle, I'll turn the hurdle around again.
- 21:49I told you I coach how to fit. It's, it has worked for 16
- 21:52years. It's awesome.
- 21:53I turn another hurdle around. I'll put half the hurdle right
- 21:57here with the rest of the hurdle on this side.
- 21:59I close your window and I raise the hurdle up to 30.
- 22:03If you're if if you're a woman would have collapsed the hurdles
- 22:06out of 27, I'll take a regular hurdle, put it at 30 and close
- 22:10your window in. You're going to eventually get
- 22:12tired of hitting your hand on a hurdle.
- 22:15Of course, I put the the pool noodles over the top of the
- 22:19huddle, right. I don't want to break your hand.
- 22:21I put a pool noodle on top of the hurdle.
- 22:23Eventually you get tired of hitting your hands on things
- 22:27because if you're in a race and you do that and you hit
- 22:29somebody, you'll be cute. So we play around again, we play
- 22:33around with a lot of things. I, I say I coach out of fear,
- 22:36but I can only do these things that my athletes trust me.
- 22:40If you don't take anything away from anything else, away from
- 22:42what I've talked about, right? And again, I'll send this
- 22:44PowerPoint out to you guys, confidence in your athlete in
- 22:49what you tell them will do a whole lot more than anything we
- 22:52talked about in the PowerPoint. If they, if you get them to
- 22:55believe what you're selling, you get them to believe what you're
- 22:58trying to get them to do, lots of things happen and you're
- 23:02like, oh, I can think you do that again.
- 23:04This young lady literally 3 weeks ago was 9 stepping and
- 23:08four stepping. We talk everyday about 8:00 and
- 23:113:00. I'm I'm a big believer in
- 23:13speaking into existence again. Chicken vouch for the year we
- 23:16won a state title. The beginning of the season.
- 23:18No, not the beginning of the season.
- 23:21At the state meet the year before, after we got second
- 23:23again, I said this will never happen again.
- 23:25That's the clean version. We will win the state next year
- 23:30because that's what we're going to talk about all summer, all
- 23:33fall and that's what we're going to believe the next year.
- 23:36We scored 60 something points at the state meet to win the title,
- 23:40and that's how I've been. Every stuff I've been speaking
- 23:43to existence. Trust it, believe it, believe in
- 23:45what you do. More importantly, train fast.
- 23:50Don't train slow sprinters into being fast.
- 23:53Hurtless. That typically doesn't work out
- 23:54well for that kid. Cool.
- 23:56Yeah. For good Z.
- 24:03Z is the only guy who's going to put together A2 hour
- 24:05presentation for 45 minutes. 45 minutes.
- 24:07It was a lot. It was longer than that.
- 24:10Coach Lowe knew he was. Asking for the impossible.
- 24:17All good things must come to an end.
- 24:19Before I kick it over to Coach Lowe to end this up, He's got a
- 24:21couple more great things for you.
- 24:22I just want to say thank you so much.
- 24:25What you do matters. I told you before, you know, the
- 24:28input that you put in for 14 to 18 year olds and for my college
- 24:32guys and gals, 18 to 22 year olds, it's invaluable to what
- 24:35goes out there into society. And so I'm truly grateful for
- 24:37what you do, grateful for your teachers, grateful for your full
- 24:40time coaches. If there's anything we can ever
- 24:42do for you at Gil, obviously reach out.
