- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Welcome back to keeping it relevant, and I'm Alex.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: I'm John.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: No, sorry, sorry.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: No, I'm John.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I'm John.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: I'm Cody.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Don't ask, don't ask me what I was doing.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Don't worry about it.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: That was weird.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Anyways, so this last Tuesday, Sky Dance is now a thing.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Paramount and Warner Brothers merge did happen.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: What a wild ride.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: They have excuse me.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: They have to make a movie about this.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I don't know who's gonna make it, to be honest.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: I was about to ask you what Sky Dance was until you said it was Paramount Warner Brothers.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so the merger happened.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: It's no longer called Paramount, it's no longer called Warner Brothers, it's now Sky Dance.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Owned by David Ellis.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I believe.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Ellis Ellison, something like that.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Yes, David Ellison owns it now.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Um Tuesday was official.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: It was uh Zach's Ass Lavs last day.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Um whatever.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Here's the crazy part.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Um they need to make two movies.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: They need to make a movie about the merger, and then they need to make a movie about the financial part of the merger.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Because to put it in perspective, this was Tuesday.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Today's Friday, right?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: So it's been four days.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: They are so much in debt.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Sounds about right.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: That their interest equals to fifteen million dollars a day.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: Who's who's in so much debt?
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: Paramount or Warner?
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: Skydance.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: Sky Dance.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Skydance, which I which is both.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: Well, it was Paramount that bought Warner, right?
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so in a sense, it would have been originally Paramount that's in the debt.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: Obviously, it's Sky Dance, but if you're going who it bought who, then it would be Paramount.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: They're 15 million.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: That's that's that's not math in that.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: That's not 100 one second.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: That's not 100% correct, but that's also not 100% incorrect because of how Yeah wild this whole thing is.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's essentially a new company.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Is Paramount is Paramount in debt?
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Paramount's in debt with their own debt.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Sky I'm not getting into it.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: This is the point.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: Skydance is its own company, but if you're going who bought who, Paramount bought Warner, so in AC.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: But it's not Paramount's debt that's causing the new company.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, it's so weird.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Anyways, um, it is fifteen million dollars a day is just the interest of their debt.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: It's not the debt.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: It's not that's the interest.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: So we've had four days, which means that they are sixty million dollars in debt, interest alone.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: So that's never getting paid off.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: And there's some worry that within five years they're gonna go bankrupt.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, if it's racking up that, I mean you literally can't put product out fast enough to make up that difference.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Well, according to the deal that was made, Skydance has to make no, not make, Sky Dance has to release 30 cinematic theatrical films a year.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: Yes, I don't think that's making back their money every year.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Which, oh no, unless each movie makes a minimum of$50 million profit.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Not making$50 million at the box office, making$15 million profit.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the problem that makes up for one day.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and so if they well, let's do the math.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: If they have there's 325 days in a year, right?
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: That's what I said, 65.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: 365.25.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: If you have 30 movies a year that make$15 million, that's 30 days out of the 365 days.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what's the problem?
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Every year they're five basically$5.5 trillion in debt.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Gosh, I didn't do the math.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Is that what it is?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: That's why I said the math's not math.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: That's why I'm saying you physically can't make that up.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: No, you can't.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: Unless the plan is to go bankrupt.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Well then Netflix will just buy it.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: But that's a whole another thing.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that gets into more stuff.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: But the funny thing is, before it was did this movie make a black atom?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Which did it make more than did it did it reach 400?
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Because Black Adam didn't make 400 million dollars.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: So it's like, man, it didn't even make a black atom.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: You know, or did it make more than a black atom?
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Now the new thing is do you think the opening weekend will be one day's um debt of Sky Dance or not?
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: So Man, that's gonna that's rough.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: You know, it is rough.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: It's like, dude, that didn't even make a interest rate of Sky Dance, man.
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Or, dude, that made three interest rates of Sky Dance per day.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: Three days of Sky Dance.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm not gonna go into it, but that that's just the biggest part of it.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: It's it's crazy, it's wild.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I do here's the thing.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Say what you want about what you want.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: I do hope for the best.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I hope.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: Who owns the interest?
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: David Ellis' dad and the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: I told you it gets weird.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Yep, that's weird.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: It gets weird.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's I'm friggin', you need to like do your own research on this guy, because I can't even get into this.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: And what I said wasn't even 100% true, but again, was it 100% not true?
- 5:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but like at one point, never mind.
- 5:54SPEAKER_03: That's a question.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: It's coffee.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: It's crazy.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: It's crazy.
- 5:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: I do hope for the best.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: It did announce um they they announced it at Cinemacon, but you know, we have Top Gun 3 coming out.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Of course, we have Days of Thunder 2 coming out.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: We have a um uh they're bringing back JJ, not JJ Abrams, uh, who did the first Transformers movie?
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: That's JJ Abrams.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: No, Michael Bay.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: They're bringing back Michael Bay for a new Transformers movie.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think that's a good idea.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: We need money, Michael Bay.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: I think that's a good idea.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: I don't know what people's problems are, okay?
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: Who's gonna play Optimus?
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: Um, who uh Chris Hemsworth, they've already said that.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is the right thing.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: Chris Hemsworth, yeah, why not?
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: Okay, why not?
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: Is it gonna be a young Optimus?
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: I don't know, they'll figure it out.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Whatever, dude.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Honestly, honestly, I'm looking forward to it.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: I'm looking forward to it.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: Now I can't say if it's confirmed for sure, but I believe I would believe all the speculation that yeah, it's probably Hemsworth.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's already done the voice once and did a solid job at it.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, and we have um for the G.I.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Joe movie, uh, we have uh Bradley Cooper joining it.
- 7:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but they already confirmed that they're never gonna cross that well, as of right now, they're not.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm not talking about the cross, I'm just talking about like we got G.I.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Joe coming too.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, we're doing it.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, like, we got we got some stuff to look forward to.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Also, the theory is, because it's like, and and I think this would be really cool.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, I know I said I I'm not gonna be talking about my other tangent, because you guys got me on this, so I'm almost done.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: The theory is part, because like who the flip's gonna make and then produce and then release 30 movies a year?
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: The theory is they're gonna they're gonna go to like they're gonna have basically like their own ARs, but not for music, but for movies.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: Go to these film festivals, see what they like, and give these indie people a chance to have a mass release of a film.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: So they'll they'll be like, hey, give a let us distribute your film.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Because they said they'll distribute, you know, they'd say they'll actually make, but then they'll release 30 movies a year, go to a film festival like the Brazil Film Festival, which is a big one, be like, well, these three movies are good.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: Let's go talk to those creators and directors and be like, hey, we want to release your films underneath the Sky Dance umbrella.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Why why would they go to all these other ones?
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 8:15SPEAKER_03: They could bring them into their own film festival.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: They own the Sky Dance Film Festival.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but why wouldn't they also like go why do you have ARs for like freaking Universal or for other record companies?
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Because you could do it yourself, but there's also stuff going on everywhere else.
- 8:32SPEAKER_03: I'm saying, why not just pick 30 movies out of your own festival instead of paying to go to another place to do it?
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Because you might not have something.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: They still have to make a profit.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: What if you only have two good freaking films at that, like that could maybe make a profit at your own film festival?
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: My only other thing is that'd be like that'd be like having an A, like the Warp Tour A and R only going to like Warptor and being like, we're gonna find our new artists there.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: No, you're gonna go to other places.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: I guess my main thought there is like I get you'll need some outside, but like realistically, just have a division that's paramount a division, that's Warner, a division, that's this thing, and like those studios were all producing movies.
- 9:11SPEAKER_02: Just have them doing it.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: On the surface, that sounds good, but because of the debt and because of everything, they need to cut, I think it was like sixty billion dollars in cost, like right off the bat.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: So they're gonna be screwed themselves.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's no, this wasn't this, they did not go about this the smartest way at all.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: So, as much as I want this to work, it sounds like this is gonna I absolutely fail.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: If this goes past five years, it this would be surprising this is a win for them.
- 9:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: If six if six years from now, they are Sky Dance is still a thing and they are still streamlining movies, dude.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Pop champagne bottles.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: If I pop that expensive champagne bottles, because oh my gosh, you made it to six years.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: I have to agree, because this sounds pretty bad.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: It's pretty crazy what's what's happening here.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: It's it again, that's why I said there needs to be two movies made.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: It needs to be a movie made about the merger in general and get Netflix in and on that and everything like that.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: And then he needs another movie about the financialness of this freaking merger and how it works.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: Because it it it doesn't and it shouldn't, and it's crazy that it actually went through.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Like, not to mention like the misopoly side of it.
- 10:32unknown: Yeah.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: On top of that, and then not to mention that, like, I'm not a conspiratist or anything like that.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: I just calls it as I see it.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Movie theater chains were very much against this.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Again, for the misopoly, it's understandable.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: They had a closed door meeting.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: All of a sudden, when it comes to court, all the movie theater chains are like, I don't know what you're talking about.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: I've always loved these guys, you know what I'm saying?
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I ain't never saw nothing, you know?
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: It's just like, okay, what the freak happened behind those closed doors?
- 10:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: So, you know, and then all of a sudden it's like, all Regal Theaters have IMAXs now.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: It's like, whoa, what happened?
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: So no, it's it's it's crazy.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: It is crazy.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: None of it makes sense.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: It shouldn't last if it lasts three years, that's an accomplishment.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: If it lasts more than five years, pop bottles.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: I still think they'll end up selling parts of it.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: Doesn't make any sense.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: They s I mean, like, they sold off, like like I think they sold off C like CNN and like stuff like that.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: And there was that whole conspiracy of like, oh, they just want to buy it so they could have CNN and have control over the news and everything like that.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: They could have just bought CNN for four for four fifteen million dollars a day of interest, you're saying you're gonna That's if they would you could have just bought it.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: That's if Warner would have sold just CNN.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: They if they well, actually, so that's another thing because you know Warner Brother didn't well it got to a point where like they didn't want to sell, but because of the shareholders and legally because of shareholders, they had to sell.
- 12:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, they could have just bought CNN because legally, if it benefited the shareholders to buy to sell CNN for the price that they were getting, they legally had to.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: So it's not even about if they wanted to sell it or not, it's about what money they were willing to offer for that.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: Doesn't Paramount own CBS?
- 12:27SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 12:28SPEAKER_03: How are they able to buy another competitive news?
- 12:31SPEAKER_03: And that's that's where the Fox and ABC.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Ooh, Disney does not own Fox News.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they just own Fox movies.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: Okay, I guess that's another thing.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: Hey people, stop comparing this to the Fox merger.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: You clearly don't know what happened with the Fox merger.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah, if you're comparing it to this.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: There are a lot of differences, and Fox still exists.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: That's the thing.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: Warner Brothers and Paramount will no longer exist.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: It's just gonna be Skydance.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Fox is still a thing.
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: So that's where I'm I yeah, I don't necessarily like that.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's crazy.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: I think they're gonna I think they're trying to sell, I mean, Warner Brothers has been trying to sell Looney Tunes.
- 13:15SPEAKER_03: I think Looney Tunes is something they're gonna be selling because if they sell Looney, they gotta sell like all of Hanna Barbera, if that's the case.
- 13:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, but like unfortunately technically they could just sell the Looney Tunes if they want.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they just have to sell Looney Tunes.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Because unfortunately, Looney Tunes isn't making any money except at all.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Coyote vs.
- 13:34SPEAKER_02: It did make money.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: No, it didn't.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: Pretty sure it did.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: No.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: Pull that up right now.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Did better than Digger.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: Hey, I I uh as of right now, I like Digger.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Ask me again later.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: Box Office Mojo.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Click.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Coyote.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: I know they've been I know they were trying to sell DC.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: I don't know what aspect of DC.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: They weren't trying to sell DC.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: The people that are filing a lawsuit said that they needed a DC.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: It made it over a hundred mil.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: It made ninety-eight million.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: Ah no, I saw something that said it broke over a hundred.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: According to Box Office Mojo, it made ninety-eight million.
- 14:30SPEAKER_03: Still more than Digger.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Well, Digger's still out.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: It's still growing.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: It's got legs, maybe.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: I mean, it could get over it.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: I mean, it only needs another like 1.7 million and it's not showing.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Is it still showing?
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: It's not showing in Columbia anymore.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's uh I mean it was had box office numbers from yesterday.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: It doesn't mean much.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: It's not making a lot, but it's still showing.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: Yesterday it made$42,000.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: That's my salary.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: It made my salary.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: That was in a day.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Well, good for you know what I'm saying.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: I'd like to make my salary.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying I'm richer than that.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: I mean, it still did way better than I think anybody was expecting it to, as far as box office goes.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: I don't imagine anyone expected it to get close to a hundred mil.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Well, I won't say what I was gonna say then.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: I mean, if you taught there, from what I was seeing online, people weren't really expecting it to do much.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: Hey, you know what?
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: Good for everybody online then.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: I can I I was I was wrong.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Any other movie news?
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Uh Resident Evil's good.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Scared the crap out of me.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Other mommy's not.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Umgame Encore's doing pretty good.
- 15:52SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Um it is.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: No, it is.
- 15:55SPEAKER_03: I'm not saying it, but it is.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: Encore made, hey, made more than coyote.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Right now we're at a hundred we're at 127 million with that?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: How much did it need to break 200?
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: 200 over two.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: We can do it.
- 16:11SPEAKER_03: I hope not.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 16:15SPEAKER_03: I hope it doesn't just because of the sheer fact that we now somewhat know what the release.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, dude.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: I freaking studio's gonna stop doing bullcrap.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: I'm not even talking the rules on it.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: The fact that they were promoting it like there's extra stuff, and it's like there wasn't.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: All it was was in credit.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: It was so okay, turn I mean, I guess technically what I thought was an in-credit, yes, was actual extra footage, but it was like two minutes.
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: That's not worth being like, come watch it, there's extra footage.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: Like, oh no.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: I would've I'm with everyone else.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: It's like we would have gone and saw it without the extra footage.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Because we got to go see it in theaters again.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: People 1000% would have.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: No, I like like I did I Here's the thing.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Did I go see it for the extra footage?
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Honestly, that was probably 30% of the reason I went.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Just the fact that I got to go experience this again with a roaring crowd in theaters was really cool.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I would have saw it without the extra footage.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Like, freaking hey.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: It would have it would have done fine.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Disney Disney panicked, and I don't know why.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Because Spider-Man did great, and everyone's looking forward to uh Doomsday.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Oh Samuel O'Jackson said that he's gonna be back, not in and not in Doomsday, but the movie.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: He said specifically the movie after as Nick Fury.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: It is safe to assume that he's talking about Secret Wars.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Could there be a movie coming out between Doomsday and Secret Wars that we don't know about yet?
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I would say that Nick Fury would show up in.
- 18:00SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't think so.
- 18:01SPEAKER_03: Unless you're talking just Avengers.
- 18:03SPEAKER_03: You can't.
- 18:04SPEAKER_03: If Doomsday ends the way everyone thinks it's going to end.
- 18:08SPEAKER_03: So you're saying there can be a lot of people who are going to be a good one.
- 18:09SPEAKER_03: No, you can because there's no I don't think Spider-Man or nothing.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: You can because the way uh Infinity War ended, we still had Miss Marvel and we still had Ant-Man 2.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: There's nothing.
- 18:24SPEAKER_03: You can't tell a story if Endgame end or sorry, if Doomsday ends the way it should, with the comic series.
- 18:33SPEAKER_03: You cannot tell another standalone movie without spoiling Secret Wars.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: It's impossible.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: No, you can because of the way the way Infinity War ended.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: You had Ant-Man 2, and it ended with people getting blipped.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: There's nothing left.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: I know, I know there's nothing left, but Ant-Man 2 didn't take place after Infinity Wars or even during it.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: The ending took place during it, which is when all the main characters got blipped except for Lang.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: So you could still create a story, and then Captain Marvel didn't take place in it took place in the 90s.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't want it though.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Why was one second, Cody?
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Why was Ant-Man okay?
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: I never said it was okay.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: I never said it was okay.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: And then Captain Marvel, everyone loved Captain Marvel.
- 19:30SPEAKER_03: The only reason that they had to do Ant-Man the way it did is to explain the uh you sure everybody loved Captain Marvel?
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: It made over a billion dollars, so yeah.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so.
- 19:42SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Did you not like Captain Marvel?
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: I think you need to check your math on that.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: You want you guys want to bet?
- 19:49SPEAKER_03: I'm not saying check your math.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: I'm saying check P.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: You said a response.
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: Billion, by the way, with a B.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: Billion.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, billion.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Captain Marvel, 2019, 1.134 billion dollars.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: You want to go on box off, you want to go on friggin' Rotten Tomatoes?
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: Anyway, the only reason that they had to do Ant-Man 2 was to explain how the quantum realm worked and that you could go in there and have time displacement.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: 79% on Rotten Tomatoes.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: It's not bad.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: It's alright.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: It's not bad.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, fine.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Audience didn't audiences didn't like it, but whatever.
- 20:24SPEAKER_03: Still made over a billion dollars.
- 20:25SPEAKER_03: Again, that's the only reason why you had to have Ant-Man.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: You didn't have to have Captain Marvel.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you did, because of the aftercredit.
- 20:31SPEAKER_03: You didn't have to explain it.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Just showed up.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: You didn't have to do any of it.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: There's there's You had to do Ant-Man.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: There's 35 MCU movies.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: All but like 10 of those you didn't have to do.
- 20:45SPEAKER_03: No, no, no.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: No, no, because you're because you're a verbe.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, because you're very being like, we don't have to, you didn't have to.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: You didn't have to do it.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: They didn't need to happen.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Ant-Man 2 and Captain Marvel didn't need to happen.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Ant-Man 2 did.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: But out of out of all the freaking No, it didn't.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: You could have just explored.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: We already knew about the quantum realm.
- 21:04SPEAKER_03: No, we didn't.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we did because of Ant-Man 1.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: He didn't go to the quantum realm in Ant-Man 1.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: No, but freaking uh what's what's her bucket was that the the mom was in it.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: No one knew where she was.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: They knew that she was in the she was like, No, they all she died.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: They were like, where is she?
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: She's somewhere deeper into it.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: She kept getting smaller.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: No, yes, they thought she died because she kept getting smaller.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: They didn't they didn't know they didn't know the quantum realm existed until two.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: No, because at the end, because remember, Scott Lang went smaller and he entered the quantum realm.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Told Hank Pym that was like, oh my gosh, that's where she went.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: We knew the quantum realm was a thing.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Okay, but that's still not my point.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: My point is you're saying none of it needed to happen.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Out of the 36 MCU films, probably 10 of them quote unquote needed to happen.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: None of them needed to happen.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: They just kept freaking doing it because it kept fake cha chain.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: A change of chain.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: So you're on the hype of Spider-Man 2.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: You're on the hype of Doomsday.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: We got Secret Wars coming up.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: When's Nick Fury gonna show up here?
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Is it gonna be Secret Wars?
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: I don't know, or maybe it could be in another film in between the two.
- 22:13SPEAKER_03: It doesn't need to be.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: No, none of them needed to.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Captain Marvel, none of them needed to, but they're going to.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: I'm saying why would they?
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Money.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: There's no reason to.
- 22:22SPEAKER_03: And I'm pretty sure didn't they come out and say that they're not doing one in between Domesday and Secret Wars?
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: No one said that.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: They just said there's a lot of Disney dates that are open that are like to be announced, but nobody knows what those are.
- 22:34SPEAKER_02: I say my big thing is if we haven't seen anything yet for Secret Wars other than that they've announced it's happening, do you really think they're gonna take all this time off and not release another Marvel movie until then?
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: Because the answer is fuck no, they won't wait that long.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, they waited that long.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Well, but actually that's a different scenario, I'll say, because they only released Deadpool that one year, but that was between Zach Zlav and John Perry.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Here's the other evidence and Bob Iger.
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: Here's the other evidence that they're not doing an in-between movie.
- 23:07SPEAKER_03: They've had D-23 and New York Comic-Con, which is this weekend.
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: The Marvel panel was today, and they released all the TV shows that they were talking about.
- 23:18SPEAKER_03: D-23 was like D-23 was this year.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was like four months ago.
- 23:23SPEAKER_03: Again.
- 23:24SPEAKER_03: Four months ago.
- 23:25SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's like four months ago.
- 23:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:27SPEAKER_03: I'm saying they've had D-23 and New York Comic-Con have not announced any other movies coming out besides Superman.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: They don't need to.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: They they've so what?
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: They always announce.
- 23:36SPEAKER_03: No, they don't.
- 23:37SPEAKER_03: Yes, they do anything.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: No, they don't, especially not after the Blade Fiasco.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: They've stopped doing that.
- 23:41SPEAKER_03: No, they don't.
- 23:42SPEAKER_03: They announced it.
- 23:42SPEAKER_03: 100%.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: They announced it.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: They have not, no, they have no, they have kept things under wraps.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Because they don't.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: And they didn't.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: They did announce things.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: They announced, they announced things after Secret Wars.
- 23:54SPEAKER_03: After Secret Wars.
- 23:55SPEAKER_03: Because they're not doing what in between.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Why would they in Secret Wars?
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't they?
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: To build the anticipation for Secret Wars.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: What anticipation is there?
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Because everyone's dead.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Everyone was dead in Infinity Ward.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Why didn't we need to be able to do that?
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: No, they weren't.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: No, they weren't.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: 50%.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, five people were left on the Avengers team.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: Everyone else died.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: Like summoned up again.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: That wasn't half.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: It was a huge amount of everything.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: So many.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: More than half of the Avengers team died.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: No.
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: It was half.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: He wished for half of the people to die.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: He wished for half of the people to die.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: He didn't say specifically and half of the Avengers.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: No, you had the original five and then like two more other people.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: More Avengers died than what stuck around.
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: So so far, Alex is right.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: They have not announced a single thing.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: I didn't say he was wrong about that.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: I'm saying that doesn't mean they're not coming out with another thing.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: At this point, it kind of does.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: Like if you're going to have anything you would have had to have announced it to announce.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: You don't have to announce Jack.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Right now?
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: No.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you do.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Yes, you do.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Not legally.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Your whole issue.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: I know Cigar Wars is next.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: It's probably getting flipped too next year.
- 25:06SPEAKER_03: Your whole issue, the last episode, was getting into marketing.
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: What marketing decision right now is smart not to announce anything literally what?
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: Months before it would be.
- 25:17SPEAKER_03: Six months.
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: Seven months?
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: We'll go six months.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: So okay, so it's what keen month's marketing plan would that be.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: Wait till after Doomsday is released.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: No.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: No people.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: Because here's the thing.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: You know what they're already marketing?
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: Like they were already, they've already marketed Secret Wars when they released when they freaking forever ago, back when it was still King Dynasty.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:38SPEAKER_03: So they released that one, but they're not releasing anything else?
- 25:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because freaking.
- 25:41SPEAKER_03: Why?
- 25:42SPEAKER_03: What logic does that make sense?
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: Because you're right.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Because since then we've had a downhill on the MCU, okay, or just superhero movies in general, or comic book movies in general.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, had a rough patch.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: Rough patch is coming up.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Rough patch is coming back.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: They're writing off the coattails of what was last year, they're writing off the coattails of two years ago, they're writing the coattails of what's going to be.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: They've already announced that there's a possible chance of delay.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: When did they announce Spider-Man?
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Last year.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: So there was a possible chance of cool.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: Last year.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, last year for it to come out this year.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: So if they're almost a year in advance.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, listen, listen.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: You just proved my argument.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: No, because they could still wait until December and say, by the way, by the way, in freaking September, we have this movie coming out.
- 26:25SPEAKER_03: They're not going to release something in September and miss the big uh box office parts of the year.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: September's a good box.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: No, it's not.
- 26:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: No, September is when you get into the dead months.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: I worked it.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: I know September is dead.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: It's freaking, it's been doing good this year.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: It's better than it has been, but it's nowhere near summer or winter.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: The last five years, everything's been dead because of the pandemic.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: Look at 2019 numbers.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: But again, beforehand, September still wasn't great.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: When you're comparing it to the peaks of the season, that's when Marvel wants to be at.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: So because of they're not following tradition, you think there's not going to be a single movie coming out.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: So you're saying the only thing.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: You're saying the only thing coming out next year is going to be Secret Wars.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: Nothing else.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Movie-wise.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: Movie-wise, yes.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Movie-wise.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Because of how it ends, which doesn't matter.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: They've proven that it doesn't matter.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: Does matter.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Did you?
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Because I don't know.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: No.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Because did you know?
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Did you know?
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: Did you know?
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Spider-Man was supposed to come out after Doomsday.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: That was the whole plan.
- 27:36SPEAKER_03: Clearly, they changed the plan.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: They changed the plan because they had issues with filming and other stuff.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: So they were like, what are we going to do?
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: The discussion was, do we need to move Spider-Man 2?
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: And they said no, because of what's happening in Spider-Man isn't significant to Doomsday.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: It has to be.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: Just like how nothing, just like how nothing in Captain Marvel or in Ant-Man and Wallace had anything significant to do with Infinity War.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: The only thing that was.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: Didn't they just say a little bit ago that they were pivotal for No, they weren't.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: They weren't pivotal at all at all.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: Because I said they didn't need them, and they said, yes, they needed them for this.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: They didn't need them.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: I'm almost positive.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: I'm going to rewind the title.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: No, because I said it was- I said none of them was needed.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: The only thing that was pivotal was the aftercredits, which was the only thing pivotal for Spider-Man was the aftercredit when you see Spider-Man's back in space for some reason.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: That was it.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we know it's the incursions, okay?
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: We know he's on Battle Earth or something like that.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: Battle World.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: He's actually, if anything, if he's in space, he's in the arc that was built by Mr.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: Fantastic to protect those superheroes and some people.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Or it is Battle World.
- 28:39SPEAKER_03: Or it is Battle World, and it's not that Spider-Man.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Well, no, it is that Spider-Man.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: It is that Spider-Man.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: Kevin Feige said, confirmed no films will hit theaters between the roughly 12-month window between the two Avengers movies.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: When did he say that?
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: I will have to find that.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, figure out when that is.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: Because Kevin Feige also said Blade was coming out, but guess what happened?
- 29:00SPEAKER_03: He also came out and retracted that and said that.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: He retracted that last month.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: He came out and said it.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Well, okay, well, he freaking retracted that.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: After seven years?
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: Or five, five years?
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: Seven years?
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: I can't remember when that happened.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: He also said Secret Wars was gonna be a good show, Secret Invasion was gonna be a good show, and guess what?
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: It wasn't.
- 29:20SPEAKER_03: Uh, in July he confirmed it.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: It could still change.
- 29:24SPEAKER_03: That was San Diego Comic-Con, more than likely he announced that.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: It could still uh yes, it could still change because we just got word today that there might be delays in freaking Secret Wars.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: So they're gonna somehow squeeze something in before that?
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why not?
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: What?
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: Because that's gonna delay.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna charge over there.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: It's already talking about being delayed.
- 29:47SPEAKER_02: So it's just gonna push whatever's behind it back.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: So how do you put something ahead of it?
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: What do you wait, what?
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: If it's delayed, whatever comes after it is delayed.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: So how are you squeezing something in before it?
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: That's logistical stuff that I'm gonna I'm gonna freaking, I'm gonna charge that.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: That's not me.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: I'm just specul.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, the guy you go off of on everything.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: Kevin Feige himself said it's not happening.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: As much as I agreed with you early, because I think that he said that he would do it.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: He could still retract that though.
- 30:15SPEAKER_03: He they how?
- 30:17SPEAKER_03: What movie?
- 30:17SPEAKER_03: Please tell me.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know what movie.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: What involves what involves Nick Fury?
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: It's too late in the.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't Samuel Jackson say, yeah, I'm gonna show up at Secret Wars?
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: Everyone else has said Tom Holland's like, yeah, I'm gonna show up at Secret Wars.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: What was his exact wording?
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: He said Nick Fury will show up in the next movie after Doomsday.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Everyone else says, I'm not gonna be in Doomsday, but I'll be in Secret Wars.
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Samuel Jackson is the only actor that is part of the MCU universe that said, I am not that said, I'm not gonna be in Doomsday, but I'll be in the next movie.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: Everyone else said, Benedict Cumberbatch said, I'm not gonna be in Doomsday, but I'm gonna be in Secret Wars.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: It doesn't make any sense.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: Tom Holland said, I'm not gonna be in Doomsday, but I'm gonna be in Secret Wars.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: So many other people said, I'm not gonna be in Doomsday, but I'm gonna be in Secret Wars.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Samuel Jackson's the only person right now that said, I'm not gonna be in Doomsday, I'm gonna be in the next movie.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: What if he said what if he just worded it weird and thought that his NDA wasn't up on?
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: But with all of his PR people and people like, hey, they're gonna ask you about Doomsday.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: Like, why would they advise him then to be like, okay, well, just say you'll be in Secret Wars like everyone else?
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: Why would they be like, hey, just say you're gonna be in the next movie?
- 31:25SPEAKER_03: Maybe they read the NDA different than someone else.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: That's a possibility.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: That is a possibility.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: The actual conversation he had went, I love your work as Nick Fury.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: We haven't seen you in a minute.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: Next movie, the one after this one.
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: Can you tell me anything about Secret Wars?
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: I have no idea.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: Marvel hasn't told me anything other than you're not gonna be in this movie, you'll be in the next.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: That still doesn't but that still doesn't mean he that's that I mean, yeah, that very much could mean Secret Wars, but why didn't he just say, oh, I'm just gonna be in it?
- 31:57SPEAKER_03: Because they haven't confirmed that that's the one he's in.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: What what then what's the next?
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: What's the next movie after Doomsday?
- 32:03SPEAKER_03: Secret Wars.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: Then why didn't they just say, hey, you're gonna be in Secret Wars?
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: Depends on when that thing came out.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: That just came out! The way he answered that was the guy was saying, Hey, when are we gonna see you?
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: And his answer was just the next one.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: Because he Why not Secret Wars then?
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: Because he didn't need to say it.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: He's just dumb, dude, I'll be in the world.
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: But why did everyone else have to say Secret Wars?
- 32:24SPEAKER_03: Because I think you're being nitpicky.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when it comes to this stuff, yeah.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: Like with Andrew Garfield, yeah, you need to be nitpicky because you're like, why'd you still be able to do it?
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: You're looking way too hard into this.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: I'm not, dude, I'm I'm looking at the biggest.
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: So many people have said that they're not looking for it.
- 32:37SPEAKER_02: Stop acting like a Swift E.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: I'm looking, I don't know.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: What does that have to do with it?
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: They read into everything.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: I You're reading way too much into this.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: I'm reading, I'm reading into it normally based off of previous conversations.
- 32:51SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, man.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: But I'm reading it as far as as far as fandom's concerned, this is normal.
- 32:56SPEAKER_03: No, it's not.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it is.
- 32:58SPEAKER_03: Just just because, just because just Hey Cody, I'm a fan of Marvel and DC comics and movies.
- 33:05SPEAKER_03: Do I do this?
- 33:05SPEAKER_03: Am I a fan?
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: No, because you're not because you're not uh you're not um, I'm trying to figure out how mean to be, but like not actually be mean.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: Um Let's put it this way.
- 33:15SPEAKER_02: I've never been this deep into any fandom ever.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: You've never been this deep into anything.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: You never see Jurassic Park yet.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: I don't want to hear from you.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: You never you don't know anything.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: You never you just saw Jaws.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: No, no, I don't want to hear from you.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: You're never this deep.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: You're this deep in Scooby-Doo.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: You're the Scooby-Doo.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: Not even.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: Where are you?
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Where are we still looking for you?
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: Scooby-Doo, where are you?
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: He's right there.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: Where is at the tagline?
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Where is he?
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: So you don't think that there's gonna be another movie between then?
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: No.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: Alright, that was the question.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: All you had to say was no.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: I've been saying that! You were going off about some weird stuff.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: I think this is the episode at this point.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, we've been talking.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Oh shoot.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: Um Okay.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: You don't think there'll be an episode and uh Initially I was on your side until I looked it up because I didn't think there was any way they would wait that long because what you said, money.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm but everything I can find is showing that that is gonna be the case.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: Because they can make money off of the TV shows that they just didn't we make a bet earlier about like box office with Spider-Man.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: What was the bet?
- 34:26SPEAKER_03: It wasn't Spider-Man, it was uh Doomsday.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Was it Doomsday?
- 34:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Do you want to just change I don't remember what the bet was.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: Do we want to change?
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: I feel like we'll remember this bet better.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Do you want to make a bet that within a They make some secret announcement?
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: Within three weeks of the re of the domestic release of Doomsday, they're gonna announce another movie.
- 34:46SPEAKER_03: I would make a bet, but I thought you're you have a moral high ground against betting.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: I shut up.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: I'm not we're not gambling, we're betting.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: What's the difference?
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not putting anything on the line except my pride, baby, and I got none of that.
- 35:06SPEAKER_03: Really?
- 35:06SPEAKER_03: Because I this whole episode seems very prideful.
- 35:09SPEAKER_03: No, this is not prideful.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: This is pure facts, baby.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: This is pure opinion, baby.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: This is pure This is a this is something I'm gonna.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, hey, actually, really quick.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Hey Justin, shut up.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: Anyway, so we need we gotta put that in there.
- 35:24SPEAKER_00: Squeeze one in.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: Squeeze one in.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: When are we having Justin on an episode?
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: Whenever we somehow can get him up here when we're recording.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: That's okay.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: That's usually the problem.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: Does he not have Discord?
- 35:38SPEAKER_03: Do we really want to try that again?
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: For him, for him, yeah.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: Hey, for him?
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 35:43SPEAKER_02: I think if we do, we gotta figure out audio stuff before we stop recording.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: He needs a mic or something.
- 35:50SPEAKER_03: I mean, they're not gonna do anything for that year.
- 35:53SPEAKER_03: This is a weird episode.
- 35:55SPEAKER_03: I'm going off I'm going on the topic that's been going for 20 minutes at this point.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's let's quick rundown of the episode.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: Alright, so Skydance is a thing.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: It's weird.
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: It's it's weirder than if Marvel released a film out of the blue.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: Which okay, so with all joking aside, would that be a financial issue for them to do that?
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: Like if they're like, hey, we're we're releasing something in like we'll say July.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: Marvel.
- 36:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think it would be a content issue, not a money issue.
- 36:31SPEAKER_03: What are they gonna release?
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: So that's so like that's the part I don't that's the only part I wow, let me just hit the mic.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: That's the only part I don't agree with you with, because everyone that died in Infinity War.
- 36:43SPEAKER_03: That's not the only content issue I have with this.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: Who Okay, think about this.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, no.
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: Every actor that's in these movies.
- 36:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, how are they able to shoot said movies in different locations, but then somehow miraculously, at the same time, come up with another movie that Disney is doing in this universe and shoot that simultaneously.
- 37:09SPEAKER_03: Because they can't do that.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I I actually have an answer to that.
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: Of course you do.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: Hold on, and it actually follows me, the storyline of Secret Wars.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: First of all.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: Well, first of all, they've already filmed part of Secret Wars as far as filming Doomsday.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: So there's that.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Because they're not filming the rest of it.
- 37:28SPEAKER_03: I never said it had to be the full.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: They're not filming the rest of it until January, which is why people think that they're going to push back Secret Wars because they're filming in January.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: It's supposed to come out of January.
- 37:37SPEAKER_03: Not if it's the only movie.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: So I mean, okay, yeah.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: You mentioned like all those characters.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: If it's Nick Fury, so fine.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: Nick Fury's not in that movie.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: So they get Nick Fury's open.
- 37:49SPEAKER_00: Samuel Jackson's open.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: He's not he's not dedicated to everything else going on.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: Maybe Secret Wars.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: I don't know how big his role is.
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: So what if we don't use any of those characters from the from any of those universes?
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: We don't use any of those characters.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: You know who is the number one pivotal character in the Jonathan Frank's uh Civil War?
- 38:13SPEAKER_03: Why would I care about the Civil War in Frank?
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: Sorry, sorry, Secret Wars.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: Because that's that's what they're basing this comic off.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Is the not the original Secret Wars, it's the John Jonathan Frank's one.
- 38:21SPEAKER_03: That's not right.
- 38:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it is.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: It's not Jonathan Frank, it's Jonathan Hickman.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: Hickman! Jonathan Frank is Riker, sorry.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: From Star Trek, anyways.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Who is actually a good director, anyways?
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: The microphone issues in the second.
- 38:37SPEAKER_03: What was your question?
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: What who's the number one important character in that comic?
- 38:42SPEAKER_00: It's Molecule Man.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: Who do we not have yet in the MCU?
- 38:48SPEAKER_03: That's even if they're doing it like that.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: No, there is a there was a rumor that we're replacing Molecule Man with Loki.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because he's the girl.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: But the question, but the question was storytelling.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: The question was of content and of logistics, and with all these people acting, you know, in the world.
- 39:02SPEAKER_03: Why would we do Molecule Man if you changed it to where it's gonna be like Loki's?
- 39:06SPEAKER_00: We don't know if they did.
- 39:07SPEAKER_00: That's just the rumor.
- 39:08SPEAKER_03: Why would Loki be in it?
- 39:10SPEAKER_03: Um doesn't make any sense at that point.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: I I don't I don't actually I don't know.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: I don't have an answer to that one.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: Look, I just came up with a possibility as to how it could work content-wise, how we could have all these characters in Doomsday, but somehow have time to film a second movie.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: It's like fine, don't use any of those characters.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Let's introduce Molecule Man.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: Let's have Nick and have it and having Nick Unity figure out about Molecule Man?
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: That sounds like a fun movie.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: What do you do with Molecule Man?
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: He's not a what you do in the comic books.
- 39:43SPEAKER_03: He's nothing like what?
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: Show up for 15 minutes and then be overpowered and leave?
- 39:48SPEAKER_03: That's all he does.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Uh he did a little more than that in Secret Wars.
- 39:54SPEAKER_03: He's locked up the whole time.
- 39:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 39:56SPEAKER_03: And has a singular conversation with Spider-Man and Miles Morale.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: You know who's locked up with him?
- 40:02SPEAKER_00: So you could get this get the filming in there?
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: Nick Fury.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: And then they're only there for like 15 minutes at Secret Wars.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: It's a win-win situation.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: But why it's a why?
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know why.
- 40:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know why.
- 40:14SPEAKER_03: That's not a movie at that point.
- 40:15SPEAKER_03: It's a short, it's a short story with 15 minutes.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: That's what happens in.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: No, no, because you make the movie about Molecule Man and Nick Fury discovering Molecule Man, which honestly, that would be a fun movie.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: No, it wouldn't.
- 40:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it would.
- 40:28SPEAKER_03: No, it wouldn't.
- 40:29SPEAKER_03: Why would Nick Fury discover Molecule Man?
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Well, um, because he has nothing else going on with his life right now, because he's not he's gonna have shield.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 40:36SPEAKER_03: So think it'd be a fun movie.
- 40:37SPEAKER_03: Cosmic being that technically lives in a different dimension and between dimensions.
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's in space right now.
- 40:42SPEAKER_03: So happenly bumps into Nick Fury, who's a human.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because Nick Fury.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Nick Fury's in space right now, just floating around.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: The incursions happen, what the fuck's going on over here?
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: And then it's just like, well, Molecule Man, and then Molecule Man and Nick Fury end up because Doctor Doom's like, I know you guys.
- 40:56SPEAKER_03: I feel like you're trying to piece together a movie to make this argument with.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: You asked the question.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: I got it right here.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: I thought I thought that was a good answer.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: I should have got an answer.
- 41:03SPEAKER_02: I feel like this episode recap turned into just more episode.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it could have.
- 41:10SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: Where were you in all this?
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: No idea what you're discussing.
- 41:16SPEAKER_01: Moderating me back a moment.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Earlier with this part, I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: It doesn't make any sense to why they would do it.
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: I just don't agree with your argument of like content-wise, it wouldn't make sense.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: None of none of the 36 movies, none of it made sense.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it does, because it builds to something.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: If they put something out right now, it wouldn't be a good thing.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: Thor Love and Thunder built to something.
- 41:41SPEAKER_03: So technically it did since they introduced one character, and that was it.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: Christian Bale deserved better.
- 41:51SPEAKER_03: And I wasn't talking about Gore.
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: I know, but I'm just saying Christian Bale deserved so much better.
- 41:57SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: If they did it the right way, he would have gotten something better.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: He was such an underrated character.
- 42:03SPEAKER_03: And we also could have gotten Noel.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: Oh gosh, they could have done that better, too.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: Gosh darn.
- 42:09SPEAKER_03: But they did it just to give us a penny because like that's a kid.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: What if the movie's Venom 4?
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: That's still under Sony.
- 42:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it is.
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: But because of the way Spider-Man No Way Home ended with the Symphio being left behind, and Nate Fury becomes Agent Venom?
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: That would, hey, that would be a pointless movie.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: That would agree.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: That one's pointless.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: Anyone got anything else?
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: I don't know what the I don't know what to call this movie episode.
