- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and we do need it. That would be maybe

- 3:41Speaker 1: You told me that I had no clue we had
- 3:43Speaker 1: onesies on the on bwtv dot com.

- 3:46Speaker 1: We have coffee mugs.
- 3:47Speaker 3: What else did There's something that I'm forgetting.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Because we've been seeing people share on their stories that
- 3:53Speaker 1: they've been getting the new Papa Team six shirts, and
- 3:57Speaker 1: we've been saying, yes, it would be sick if we

- 4:17Speaker 3: It on already. I'm about to pop my top. I'm
- 4:19Speaker 3: gonna put it on.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm holding up like everybody can just see what's in
- 4:22Speaker 1: the package. The the real ones know what's in the package.
- 4:25Speaker 3: And the amount. A huge thank you to everybody that
- 4:30Speaker 3: threw these on as soon as they came in dude
- 4:33Speaker 3: and started just tagging us online.
- 4:35Speaker 1: There was one. There was one father leaving the hospital.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yes with this PT six shirt on. Yes, pop A
- 4:42Speaker 1: Team six. Here we are Mission contained the chaos Papa
- 4:45Speaker 1: Team six shirts. All the detail in here. You have
- 4:48Speaker 1: the little bear with this little military helmet on, with
- 4:52Speaker 1: the sunglasses of stog in his mouth, bottle strapped to
- 4:55Speaker 1: his chest, sitting on a cooler grill in the background.
- 4:59Speaker 1: What am I missing? It's got the little tongs, the
- 5:01Speaker 1: little the little cooker tongue deal boys sitting on his shoulders.
- 5:04Speaker 1: He's got a coffee cup, He's got a bink in
- 5:06Speaker 1: his left hand. You can go cop these shirts. These
- 5:09Speaker 1: are for the real sick gos. These are for the
- 5:11Speaker 1: real POPA Team six members. That's how you support the
- 5:13Speaker 1: boys bwtv dot com. There you go, Shuram, go ahead,
- 5:18Speaker 1: get a good look at our boys shirm. Come on, yeah, dude,
- 5:23Speaker 1: that's what's up.
- 5:24Speaker 3: That was it. I just wanted to pop the top.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I wanted to support PT six, I wanted to suport
- 5:31Speaker 3: the new shirts.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I let's go fill the space though, fill the space people.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So for listeners at home, this was my grand plan
- 5:41Speaker 3: to just get Will to take his shirt off on camera.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I always find a way somehow to get either Taylor
- 5:48Speaker 3: or Will to pop their top in some form of content.
- 5:52Speaker 3: But to the to the that exact point. I know
- 5:56Speaker 3: we've touched on it already, but the amount of people
- 5:59Speaker 3: that did send pictures in their PT six shirts, yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 3: we freaking love it. And also, reminder, you got a
- 6:06Speaker 3: little tape right there, sir Will at the very topic.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Boom baby, Uh, send in Dad content for the credits,
- 6:16Speaker 3: and I'll I will get a graphic to you, a
- 6:20Speaker 3: social graphic. I have a little template, chef, and I'll
- 6:24Speaker 3: send that to you and we can post that as
- 6:26Speaker 3: a nice little reminder.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and what are you saying about that too? At
- 6:29Speaker 1: the end of every episode, we run a little role
- 6:30Speaker 1: credits of just Dad highlights the dad's out there in
- 6:33Speaker 1: the wild. Papa Deep six just air supporting in your videos.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Whether it's your son, your daughter, maybe it's photos. Whatever
- 6:42Speaker 1: it is, we like to highlight it at the end
- 6:44Speaker 1: of the episode. So if you want a chance to
- 6:45Speaker 1: be featured on the show, that is another way outside
- 6:48Speaker 1: of calling the Hotline six and one of the dads.
- 6:50Speaker 1: There is another thing. We got a gift. Your boy
- 6:52Speaker 1: got gifted Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, this glove, This Father's
- 6:56Speaker 1: Day glove from the absolutely ridiculous team And you're looking
- 6:59Speaker 1: this glove right now. I got a huge card from
- 7:02Speaker 1: him because they're massive supporters of Fatherhood and Papa Team six.
- 7:06Speaker 1: But it says Will, as a proud father yourself, we
- 7:08Speaker 1: wanted to give you our Father's Day glove. This glove
- 7:10Speaker 1: is made for the dad's The denim represents a dad's
- 7:15Speaker 1: hard work, designed to fray, just like your dad's favorite
- 7:18Speaker 1: pair of jeans. He won't retire the patch back here.
- 7:22Speaker 1: The patch, inspired by the classic blue Jeans Jackron, Yeah
- 7:27Speaker 1: Jack Crohn Jackron, features a dad and son mowing the lawn,
- 7:31Speaker 1: Dad with the real mower's son with the toy mower
- 7:33Speaker 1: to represent the everyday influence and responsibility. It is to
- 7:37Speaker 1: be a dad. Absolutely ridiculous is the gallery of the artist,
- 7:42Speaker 1: imagined by X who created the iconic ice cream glove.
- 7:46Speaker 1: That is that this denim design is laid over and
- 7:50Speaker 1: while we believe this glove will resonate with you, we'd
- 7:52Speaker 1: love the opportunity to do a custom glove together. That
- 7:55Speaker 1: is from Andrew Hook. I almost said Andrew Hook, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: from the at Ridiculous team, shout out you guys, thank
- 8:02Speaker 1: you so much for the glove. This glove rips. I
- 8:04Speaker 1: love the story behind the glove, but in that's sick.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Dude, that's really sick. And that last little piece of
- 8:11Speaker 3: we'd love to do a custom glove with you, guys,
- 8:14Speaker 3: if you did an FTD themed like something with the
- 8:18Speaker 3: wolves on it.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Oh my god, maybe just the phrase good.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Right in the right in the palm, Yeah good.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And we can't just be shout out you know, the
- 8:28Speaker 1: majority of our listeners we got dad listeners, we got
- 8:30Speaker 1: mom listeners. But we can't. We can't forget about seed
- 8:34Speaker 1: Team six going through buds right now. Just had a
- 8:37Speaker 1: fellow and don't wanna don'tanna spoiler because we've got things
- 8:39Speaker 1: coming into pipe with him. We just had somebody visit
- 8:42Speaker 1: the shop and he was talking about how he's part
- 8:44Speaker 1: of Seed Team six right now.
- 8:45Speaker 3: No, he's not.
- 8:46Speaker 1: He's in Buds Training breeding until dad's status. I don't
- 8:49Speaker 1: know if he's entered buds training just yet. But that's
- 8:53Speaker 1: the conversation with him and his wife right now.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Y'all have no idea what we need to clip this
- 8:59Speaker 3: and go back to this because this is a we
- 9:01Speaker 3: will huge get for Seed Team six. We cannot spoil
- 9:05Speaker 3: it right now.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, And even the Seeman Team six listeners out there,
- 9:09Speaker 1: like if you're just spraying lead for the love of
- 9:11Speaker 1: the game, we know you're out there listening as well.
- 9:15Speaker 3: What about those goon Berets. Don't goo berets?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Can't forget about the gooon Berets. For everybody who listened
- 9:20Speaker 1: to the episode or watched the episode last week and
- 9:21Speaker 1: learned what gooning was, and the goon Berets that are
- 9:24Speaker 1: now their army has joined forces with Papa Team six.
- 9:28Speaker 1: We're building something special. We are building something special and
- 9:31Speaker 1: we would love for you to be a part of it. Wait,
- 9:34Speaker 1: every time we talk crazy like that, I just I
- 9:36Speaker 1: enjoy thinking about the couple that's just sitting on the
- 9:39Speaker 1: couch right now at home. Did you see the video
- 9:42Speaker 1: of the dad tagged us in where's he's got the
- 9:44Speaker 1: little one laying down and he's like kind of scanning
- 9:47Speaker 1: the whole room and he's got for the dads on
- 9:50Speaker 1: the on the TV. Up, juice onto that video.
- 9:54Speaker 3: There's another video that I need to send to Chef
- 9:56Speaker 3: of husband that so baby's on the way. I think
- 10:01Speaker 3: it's in October, and forgive me, we're dming the other night.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I need to send it to y'all. He's like filming
- 10:07Speaker 3: the TV and then he just goes over to his wife.
- 10:10Speaker 3: You can see she has this little tray with like
- 10:12Speaker 3: all the prepping stuff for a baby that's on the way.
- 10:16Speaker 3: But she's sitting there with her little blanket on and
- 10:18Speaker 3: she like gives a thumbs up and they're watching for
- 10:20Speaker 3: the dads in the living room. I'm like, that's all time, dude,
- 10:24Speaker 3: that's what you live for. And it was the part
- 10:27Speaker 3: of the episode that they're listening to is like right
- 10:29Speaker 3: before we got into the goom Berets and I'm just
- 10:31Speaker 3: dying in my head.
- 10:32Speaker 4: But look like it's like watching a movie with your parents.
- 10:37Speaker 4: And then like a scene that's super uncomfortable comes on,
- 10:40Speaker 4: and then you're just you both act like you're just
- 10:42Speaker 4: not The phone comes out something like that.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah, how old are you sure?
- 10:49Speaker 3: Thirty two?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Thirty two? So you might have been part of the
- 10:52Speaker 1: were you part of the era where Titanic might have
- 10:54Speaker 1: been your first boob? And Titanic comes on and that
- 10:57Speaker 1: scene happens, and you're kind of like you might be
- 10:59Speaker 1: sitting there with mom and dad like acting like you
- 11:02Speaker 1: don't know what you're seeing, but you know what you're seeing,
- 11:04Speaker 1: but you don't know how you should act like you
- 11:06Speaker 1: know what you're seeing.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that double box set just staring at you
- 11:09Speaker 3: on the bookshelf. Yeah, you know what's on the second tape, dude,
- 11:13Speaker 3: It's not on the first tape. For all you Sikahs
- 11:15Speaker 3: out there, it's on the second.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Nudge your boy booby.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Hey, Mom, Dad, we're gonna go something.
- 11:22Speaker 1: We're gonna watch what just after that scene's over. I
- 11:26Speaker 1: think I'm gonna take a shower. I haven't showered in
- 11:28Speaker 1: a couple of days.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It's gonna go watch it.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I'll love you mom.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, what's new, dude? What's how's uh? How's Week four?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Been trenches since the blowout, since Operation blowout last week.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Yeah, it has been really really good. It has been
- 11:47Speaker 3: really tough in the same breath. Uh, by the time
- 11:51Speaker 3: we're listening to this, it will officially be a month.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Scarlett will be a month old, which is nuts.
- 11:56Speaker 1: You drop in the one month Oh yeah.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Dude, Jill, that's what Jill's sending me live. I think
- 12:03Speaker 3: that was it. I'm not even kidding. I think she
- 12:06Speaker 3: just sent the one month.
- 12:08Speaker 1: The one month photo.
- 12:09Speaker 3: That's literally you cannot rise that.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Look at that.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I said, scar Scar a.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Little baby, scar Scars one month old. I'll send it
- 12:18Speaker 3: to show we can get on that episode. Yeah, but dude,
- 12:23Speaker 3: it's been really good. It's uh as far as like energy,
- 12:27Speaker 3: it does make me laugh of uh, like all the
- 12:31Speaker 3: worrying stuff that I had with sleep and sleep is
- 12:34Speaker 3: non existent. But like it's weird how the body just
- 12:37Speaker 3: kind of finds a way. I don't know, but I
- 12:43Speaker 3: am trying to like take care of myself and like
- 12:45Speaker 3: find those little pockets of sleep and stuff. But I'm
- 12:49Speaker 3: somehow like fully energized when I'm up in like the
- 12:52Speaker 3: late hours of the morning with Scarlet and I'm having
- 12:56Speaker 3: a blast but I'm also miserable.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Are you minding yourself? Are you saying good?
- 13:01Speaker 3: I'm saying good, I really am. Won't fall asleep good,
- 13:04Speaker 3: I really am saying good. Ache not working?
- 13:07Speaker 4: Good?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Beaky out working the second time?
- 13:09Speaker 4: Good?
- 13:09Speaker 1: Can you please stay asleep?
- 13:11Speaker 5: No?
- 13:11Speaker 1: You want to wake up right now? Good? Good?
- 13:14Speaker 3: Oh, your eyes are fully away because I'm putting you
- 13:16Speaker 3: back down into your crib.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Good. Oh, you're staring at me and just eviscerating a
- 13:23Speaker 1: shit out of your asshole right now. Good?
- 13:26Speaker 3: And the uh this face, Oh you're making the ship
- 13:29Speaker 3: face good. Yeah, I can't wait, but I do get
- 13:32Speaker 3: stoked on the ships.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Oh, ran out of wipes. Gotta try to open up
- 13:34Speaker 1: another bag. Why, I kind of hold you in place.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Good, and you have to rip it. We're talking about
- 13:39Speaker 3: that brand.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, when you're like, honeywell, oh.
- 13:43Speaker 3: You use Honeywell, I use the what's the diaper brand
- 13:47Speaker 3: that you like?
- 13:48Speaker 1: CODERI, CODERI.
- 13:49Speaker 3: We also use the Coderie wipes and shout out Codery
- 13:52Speaker 3: love Coderie. But damn the.
- 13:54Speaker 1: When the little wiper bag gets a little light and
- 13:56Speaker 1: you have to just start doing this so you and
- 13:58Speaker 1: then it pulls out too and one of them not
- 14:00Speaker 1: gonna stuff another one back in there, good.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Good, And I'm operating on a whole other level. Dude,
- 14:09Speaker 3: I truly like want you and Chef not for content,
- 14:13Speaker 3: but like I just want y'all to see me change
- 14:16Speaker 3: a diaper. Dude, I kind of want to show off
- 14:17Speaker 3: for the boys.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, like a little pit stop.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Yes, dude, even if she gave me a blowout, like
- 14:22Speaker 3: gave me something I've never seen before with you guys
- 14:25Speaker 3: in the room, I would just be so calm, cool, collected.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I'd be like Paul Swan dude that whole Yeah, changing teams,
- 14:35Speaker 3: but give me whatever you got, Scarlett. I can handle it.
- 14:38Speaker 1: When so Scotty's eight months, nine months, she's in that,
- 14:41Speaker 1: she's in that range. That's when they get squirrely, bro, Yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 1: trying to roll, trying to get to their stomach, and
- 14:47Speaker 1: you're like you're holding their leg as you're trying to
- 14:50Speaker 1: when you go back to that light wipes package example,
- 14:54Speaker 1: or you're just like Scottie stayed down. And then sometimes
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'll just stop what I'm doing with that and then
- 14:59Speaker 1: I'll just hold her with both my hands like on
- 15:02Speaker 1: her chest and her stomach, so I just hold her
- 15:03Speaker 1: down so she can stop squirming, just to let her
- 15:05Speaker 1: know you are gonna stay put and I'm not gonna
- 15:09Speaker 1: let go of you until you really, until you submit.
- 15:12Speaker 1: She is scott Zilla. Scott Zilla, bro.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I saw those videos of the those were in Crod.
- 15:20Speaker 1: She rips around on the floor and Army cross Papa
- 15:23Speaker 1: Team six style everywhere, everywhere. She's an animal. It rude
- 15:26Speaker 1: didn't do that us, Rue, Army crawled. But man, it's
- 15:31Speaker 1: kind of hard to remember this or dad brain kicks
- 15:33Speaker 1: in a different Godzilla, I feel you put her on
- 15:36Speaker 1: the floor and she's just Yeah, she's bringing a different
- 15:39Speaker 1: aspect to the game because she just gets going. She
- 15:42Speaker 1: gets going. You build something up high, she's going full
- 15:45Speaker 1: scott Zilla mode and she's taking it down. You're sitting
- 15:48Speaker 1: there going, yeah, I want yeah, I want to get
- 15:53Speaker 1: her attention. She should be looking. It's just.
- 15:57Speaker 3: She ripped whatever that thing was off the top. Go
- 16:00Speaker 3: oh my god.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta be careful too with It's like your dog,
- 16:05Speaker 1: your pet water bowls. Oh, she got in that. She
- 16:09Speaker 1: got in that last one. Let her ripped around. She
- 16:11Speaker 1: got in the pantry. Because Rue, she likes to play
- 16:13Speaker 1: this game where she has this imaginary friend named Nellie,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and she goes to Nelly's house. Nelly's house is in
- 16:18Speaker 1: the pantry.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 16:20Speaker 1: So she's like that you want to call over to
- 16:21Speaker 1: Nelly's and we just go and we kind of just
- 16:22Speaker 1: stand in the pantry and I'm just you know, I
- 16:24Speaker 1: gotta like lead the conversation and Nellie, what's going on?
- 16:27Speaker 1: It's so good to see you. Are you about to
- 16:29Speaker 1: get ready for bed too? Because I'm trying to get
- 16:31Speaker 1: Rude to go upstairs. No, she's not going to bed,
- 16:33Speaker 1: She's gonna stay up. Oh, that's so nice of your
- 16:36Speaker 1: parents to let you stay up. Rue's gotta get going
- 16:39Speaker 1: to bed here soon.
- 16:41Speaker 3: You gotta show Rude Nelly's hit song that she wrote,
- 16:45Speaker 3: If you want to come and take over with me smoking.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Ale in the back through the livingusine. Oh you want
- 16:51Speaker 1: to hear you want to hear what Nellie wrote. But
- 16:55Speaker 1: what I was saying was She's like, I want Scotty
- 16:56Speaker 1: to come to Nelly's house. Okay, yeah, go ah, have
- 16:58Speaker 1: fun and invite Scotty to Nelly's house. And so we
- 17:01Speaker 1: were like grab her by the back of the leg
- 17:03Speaker 1: and kind of just drag her over toward the pantry
- 17:07Speaker 1: and then with the uh I didn't put the water
- 17:09Speaker 1: bowl up. And then as I like walk in there, oh,
- 17:12Speaker 1: how Scotty, How Scotty enjoying Nellie's Oh my god, come
- 17:15Speaker 1: on Scottie. And she's just she's just sitting there, just
- 17:18Speaker 1: splashing the water, splashing the water bowl as it's on
- 17:21Speaker 1: the ground.
- 17:22Speaker 3: So she wasn't even upset about it, like no, no,
- 17:24Speaker 3: And then.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You gotta go changer. She soaked everywhere with some dog
- 17:27Speaker 1: care kind of match like you know, kind of patched
- 17:29Speaker 1: in on the on the ones. Waffles piss well, Waffle's asleep,
- 17:34Speaker 1: Waffles just in another room, you know, Waffle English bulldog
- 17:37Speaker 1: like she's she don't she don't even know what's going on.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I love Waffle, dude, dog. How have you been, by
- 17:44Speaker 3: the way, I've been good.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I've been good. We've been having a lot of fun.
- 17:47Speaker 1: We had this little uh Rue had a funny story.
- 17:51Speaker 1: We were in the car and she had to go
- 17:53Speaker 1: she had to go pee. And it's one of the
- 17:55Speaker 1: it's like one of those things where before you leave
- 17:57Speaker 1: the place, you're asking your hey, do you need do
- 17:59Speaker 1: you need to go potty? Before we go? Because once
- 18:01Speaker 1: we get in the car. It's gonna be a little
- 18:03Speaker 1: bit of a drive before we get home. She's like, no,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I don't got to go potty. Dad is about to
- 18:08Speaker 1: go potty. Do you want to come with me? Just
- 18:09Speaker 1: in case you might have to? And she's like no, no, no.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And then when you get in the car, of course,
- 18:15Speaker 1: when you get in the car and you get strapped in,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you start leaving. Like within the first five minutes, she's
- 18:18Speaker 1: talking about how she has to go potty. And this
- 18:21Speaker 1: is actually when we were out in Canada, so we
- 18:23Speaker 1: were on the shuttle. So the shuttle, it was gonna
- 18:25Speaker 1: be like an hour hour and a.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Half drive stopping once you're on the shovel.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to keep the momentum going when you're
- 18:31Speaker 1: on the shuttle and Rue's starting to get upset. Her
- 18:34Speaker 1: tummy hurts, her butt hurts. She's talking about her butt
- 18:36Speaker 1: hurts because I guess the pressure she's feeling in her
- 18:38Speaker 1: lower lower part of the stomach. And we're just trying
- 18:40Speaker 1: to like, hey, just go potty. I end up changing
- 18:42Speaker 1: her on the shuttle to get her into a pull up,
- 18:44Speaker 1: like just go potty, and she's losing her mind because
- 18:47Speaker 1: you know when they're potty trained. Like she'll wear a
- 18:49Speaker 1: pull up at nighttime. Yeah, she doesn't like sleep through
- 18:52Speaker 1: the night and not go not go to the bathroom.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But when she's like conscious, she's like, you know, it
- 18:56Speaker 1: bothers her that she has to go pee. And so
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm like hold her hand on my grip. She's crying.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I'm just leaning up trying to talk to Her'm like, hey,
- 19:01Speaker 1: just let it flow. Just picture the water used to
- 19:05Speaker 1: sh I'm like next door here, I'm like that that
- 19:08Speaker 1: that used to go potty all the time, that potty
- 19:10Speaker 1: that pottied his pants.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Until he's like fourteen, you're only cool if you.
- 19:14Speaker 1: You're only cool if you pee your pants. That I
- 19:16Speaker 1: used to do it all the time. Didn't didn't he? Nick?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Didn't he Nick? And he's laughing. Nick was there to witness, like, yeah,
- 19:23Speaker 1: you're dead. It's his pants for quite a while. He
- 19:25Speaker 1: had a bit of a bed problem throughout his entire childhood.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Ifn she's talking about no, I can't, my butt hurts
- 19:33Speaker 1: my butter. I'm my sweet I just go She had
- 19:35Speaker 1: so like as I'm like holding her hand, it's like
- 19:36Speaker 1: she's on the hospital bed giving birth. That's how she's
- 19:39Speaker 1: like ripping my hand, ends up going and it was
- 19:42Speaker 1: all great, good, But you're trying to talk them into
- 19:45Speaker 1: you're trying to talk them into just pinging their pants, like, buddy,
- 19:47Speaker 1: just let it flow. I'm telling you. She's like, it's
- 19:49Speaker 1: gonna be too much, it's gonna come outside the pull up.
- 19:52Speaker 1: No it's not. These are Coderie. These are Codie. Yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 1: it's gonna sooner you sleep to night, probably peed three times.
- 20:00Speaker 3: In's that extra money so you can't piss your plants.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I love you. But life is good, bro. We're
- 20:05Speaker 1: in a good little rhythm right now. We're gearing up
- 20:07Speaker 1: for the football season. As you know, it's gonna be
- 20:09Speaker 1: a pretty loaded football season with busting with the boys.
- 20:13Speaker 1: But it's good. Man. We're gonna start school. That's gonna
- 20:15Speaker 1: be sad. It's gonna be fun. It's gonna be great.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But man, that's sad to me. That's sad to me.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yeah, we've broughten it up before last week. I feel
- 20:25Speaker 3: like we're gonna keep on just bringing it up, because
- 20:27Speaker 3: that is, if not the biggest pillar, that is like,
- 20:33Speaker 3: that's end all, be all, its first day of school.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Pick once they go to school, dude, they don't. They
- 20:39Speaker 1: don't stop going to school until they graduate college.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna be going to all the teacher parent
- 20:44Speaker 3: teacher meetings, You're gonna be going to all the elementary
- 20:46Speaker 3: school graduations.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited for those things. But it's just like
- 20:53Speaker 1: it's just your first your first jot, going off to
- 20:55Speaker 1: school for the first time. It's like, this is where
- 20:57Speaker 1: it starts. This is where it all begins.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, the whole blink and you'll miss it thing does
- 21:01Speaker 3: hit with like this being the first month. That's crazy. Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 3: Like the fact that Scarlett's a month old is insane
- 21:09Speaker 3: to me. Yeah, I'm already looking at pictures of her
- 21:12Speaker 3: and going, I don't like how much your cheeks are
- 21:14Speaker 3: filled out?
- 21:15Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 21:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you're growing way too fast.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I know. Hey, Scotty's at a great age right now,
- 21:20Speaker 1: because she's in like that eight eight nine month range
- 21:23Speaker 1: where you know, her thighs, her legs are getting chubby.
- 21:26Speaker 1: She's like trying to stain and like trying to stay
- 21:29Speaker 1: in and we're trying to help her, you know, like
- 21:30Speaker 1: move her legs like he's all smiling. Yeah, it's it's
- 21:36Speaker 1: a it's I enjoy the Uh, I enjoy that age
- 21:39Speaker 1: that eight nine months where they start, you know, you
- 21:43Speaker 1: get to do more with them. They're much more sturdy.
- 21:45Speaker 1: It probably happens our starts around like that six month mark. Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: but yeah, man, they grow quick. God we've seen old photos.
- 21:56Speaker 3: We have any red comments by the way, Oh gosh,
- 21:59Speaker 3: got to keep it under an So we.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Got off on a little tangent. Six did not mind
- 22:06Speaker 1: in a good way.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Okay, first one, Jacob Griffith. He asked what branch of
- 22:12Speaker 3: Papa Team six would a guy uh be that can't
- 22:15Speaker 3: have kids? What what branch would he be a part
- 22:19Speaker 3: of to that he doesn't have kids? Did he say
- 22:23Speaker 3: if he has a wife and they're currently trying. He
- 22:26Speaker 3: said that he can't have kids.
- 22:29Speaker 1: He can't have kids.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yes, So then three options came to mind because I
- 22:34Speaker 3: was like, I want, I want Jacob Field left out.
- 22:37Speaker 3: One Seman Team six.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Obvious he's spraying led love of the game.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Two goombres.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Yes, if he's committed to edging for the rest of
- 22:50Speaker 1: the day, you know what I mean?
- 22:51Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 22:51Speaker 3: Absolutely, You You cannot just like lightly throw around the.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Term gooombra, right, that's true, he got true. But goombre
- 22:58Speaker 1: sounds fun.
- 22:59Speaker 3: It is fun.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I saw somebody be like, hey, you should name Goo
- 23:02Speaker 1: Berets the goon platoon.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Shout out that guy. Oh my god. Third option is
- 23:13Speaker 3: like some kind of adoption name. We gotta have some
- 23:16Speaker 3: kind of adoption.
- 23:17Speaker 4: If he has siblings, maybe he and they have kids.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Possibly uncle force.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Yeah, we do finding an uncle funcle force, the uncle genre.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Because my mind was going to, all right, if it's
- 23:32Speaker 1: like he can't have kids because he's like shooting blanks,
- 23:34Speaker 1: it's like the oh gosh, what's it called the blank Brigade.
- 23:41Speaker 3: The Blank's Brigade, the Blank's Brigade, or yeah, what is it? Uh,
- 23:46Speaker 3: the practice range or the firing range. Yeah, you could
- 23:51Speaker 3: be like a drill sergeant.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, I was.
- 23:55Speaker 3: I was trying to think of something we leave in
- 23:58Speaker 3: the comments. PT six, like some good word play for
- 24:00Speaker 3: adoption parents too, because I feel like we can't leave
- 24:03Speaker 3: the adoption dads out.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, if they're adoption dads, they're part of Papa
- 24:07Speaker 1: Team six. Yeah, but like a.
- 24:10Speaker 3: But like a special like if they want like a
- 24:12Speaker 3: special thing, Yeah, but they are maybe Team six.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Yeah, like an adoption patch. Well, if you gotta get
- 24:21Speaker 1: a patch is going. There's so many ideas that we've
- 24:23Speaker 1: been thrown around every week that I don't know if
- 24:25Speaker 1: they're in production.
- 24:26Speaker 3: And I have another I have another one that I'm
- 24:28Speaker 3: gonna pitch for my survival kit.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Okay, there's a hang on. Can I read a comment?
- 24:35Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 24:35Speaker 1: This one's from Anthony al morez v V six H. Literally,
- 24:41Speaker 1: every time anything goes wrong wrong and I get pissed,
- 24:43Speaker 1: I sit back and say to myself, good, every single
- 24:47Speaker 1: time left out out gives me a whole new perspective
- 24:50Speaker 1: on things and lightens the moment up. Whatever it may be.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Gonna get my PT six gear. I love this pot
- 24:54Speaker 1: so much. I love that all of us are just
- 24:56Speaker 1: trying to figure it out. Sure miss hilarious and is
- 24:58Speaker 1: a fan favorite. Now keep it pushing, boys, I dig it. Wow,
- 25:03Speaker 1: shout out Tony, shout out Anthony.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Anthony, thank you for the kind words.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Dude.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Another person sent a DM. I need to find that
- 25:12Speaker 3: DM and send it to chef. He was in the
- 25:15Speaker 3: hospital with his wife. She had to go into c section,
- 25:20Speaker 3: not emergency c section, but I had to go into
- 25:23Speaker 3: c section, And he said she quite literally from listening
- 25:27Speaker 3: to the podcast when they heard the news, she was
- 25:28Speaker 3: going into C section. She looked at them and said, good.
- 25:34Speaker 3: How legendary is that he sent me a video to
- 25:37Speaker 3: with They had some for the dad's merch and he
- 25:40Speaker 3: was like, honey, I'm sending this to for the dads.
- 25:43Speaker 3: He's like, what do we say? She just in the
- 25:45Speaker 3: background just goes good in a deep voice.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I love that there's a here's a nice one that
- 25:52Speaker 1: I'm sure we've both kind of fantasized about out while
- 25:54Speaker 1: we're sending at home. But it says proud. This is
- 25:56Speaker 1: from Josh Krause, proud member of PT six. Can't wait
- 25:59Speaker 1: for the day when the boys host a PT six
- 26:01Speaker 1: meet up and the community can come together and talk
- 26:04Speaker 1: fatherhood over a couple of cold ones. Keep on keeping on,
- 26:08Speaker 1: Oh have you thought about that in your your spare
- 26:11Speaker 1: time with your dad?
- 26:12Speaker 4: No?
- 26:13Speaker 3: And the opportunities are endless, dude.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Oh they really are. That's That's what honestly juices me
- 26:20Speaker 1: up about this show and the brand in the community
- 26:23Speaker 1: is there's no shortage of ideas with where we could
- 26:28Speaker 1: go with the show. Yo.
- 26:29Speaker 3: That would be I was thinking for like Father's Day
- 26:32Speaker 3: and I was like, no, you'd want to spend that
- 26:33Speaker 3: with your family as soon as you said that.
- 26:36Speaker 1: But true, but also father's days about what the dads
- 26:39Speaker 1: want to do.
- 26:41Speaker 3: True.
- 26:41Speaker 1: This could be a block of time two three hours
- 26:45Speaker 1: maybe yeah. Or maybe you spend the first half of
- 26:47Speaker 1: the day with the fam.
- 26:49Speaker 3: And you just show up in like socks and crocs
- 26:52Speaker 3: or socks and sandals, jeorts, PT six shirt and you
- 26:57Speaker 3: just have a bunch of sikkahs meeting up with each other.
- 27:01Speaker 4: To hear me out? Would it work to be during
- 27:04Speaker 4: a sporting event like an NFL Sunday? That way you
- 27:08Speaker 4: get cooking right now, chef, go watch football.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Captain Captain of st St six.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, Or I like that idea, or even the
- 27:16Speaker 3: sounds here in Nashville like they have a bunch of
- 27:19Speaker 3: stuff that's like fun for the kids during the baseball games.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I bet they have like a Kid's Night or you know,
- 27:25Speaker 3: Facebook Night or something that you could play.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Maybe some PT six members we just go bowling. I
- 27:31Speaker 1: love just just just rent out, rent out the entire place,
- 27:36Speaker 1: just invite PT six come bowl.
- 27:39Speaker 3: He loved bowling and I love that idea. Oh my god,
- 27:43Speaker 3: are you a good bowler?
- 27:45Speaker 1: Hit miss? I took bowling in college, believe it or
- 27:48Speaker 1: not that's sick. My senior year, I graduated early and
- 27:51Speaker 1: you just needed like I needed nine credit hours to
- 27:53Speaker 1: stay eligible for my last year in Nebraska. One wasn't
- 27:56Speaker 1: online course love it. Another one was like insect by
- 28:00Speaker 1: biology boom. And then on Tuesdays and Thursday's bowling we
- 28:04Speaker 1: going bowl And it's like Tuesdays and Thursdays. So that's
- 28:06Speaker 1: like a two to three hour class. We'll just go
- 28:08Speaker 1: in the mornings and you just bowl it up.
- 28:09Speaker 3: A little known. In fact, I've turned into somewhat of
- 28:12Speaker 3: a Nebraska Sika with this guy. Y'all were recently national champions.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Oh but you want to bowl, you go through Nebraska.
- 28:18Speaker 1: You go to Nebraska. You want bowling in your future,
- 28:21Speaker 1: You get ready because Nebraska is he has the greatest
- 28:24Speaker 1: bowling team I think of all time.
- 28:26Speaker 3: They're crazy good.
- 28:28Speaker 4: I'm talking sanctioned by the NC double a.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, audio, we're talking maybe double digit national titles.
- 28:35Speaker 1: It's like you look that up. You look that up.
- 28:38Speaker 3: It's bowling for Nebraska and then meat judging for Texas Tech.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Those are like meat judging. Explain that meat judging. So
- 28:45Speaker 3: they'll bring in.
- 28:47Speaker 1: So we talk in red meat. We talk meat meat,
- 28:49Speaker 1: red meat, okay, And they bring in a slab and
- 28:52Speaker 1: it's like, okay, first identify the cut. Hey, I could
- 28:55Speaker 1: be way off back, I believe this is what it is.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Identify the cut. Okay, it's a bone in by what's
- 29:01Speaker 3: the grading system? Like what you know? Is this prime?
- 29:05Speaker 3: Is this? Blah blah blah. They have to do all
- 29:07Speaker 3: these types of grading where essentially they tell the judges
- 29:11Speaker 3: everything they need to know about the cut of beef.
- 29:15Speaker 1: People might be wondering too, like what does this have
- 29:17Speaker 1: to do with fatherhood or being for the dads? Well,
- 29:21Speaker 1: if your child has a future and bowling potentially you
- 29:24Speaker 1: look at the University of Nebraska. All dads, I think
- 29:28Speaker 1: understand the stakes when it comes to uh meat judging.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Free schools, free school, free schools, free school.
- 29:35Speaker 1: If your dad out there, you know how important it
- 29:37Speaker 1: is to know your way around a piece of meat,
- 29:40Speaker 1: a cut of meat.
- 29:42Speaker 3: God, that'd be so epic to be a national champion
- 29:44Speaker 3: and champion.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Six Okay, I was a few off. I was a
- 29:47Speaker 1: little off.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Six is still we are that?
- 29:51Speaker 1: We are that team.
- 29:55Speaker 3: I have CDT one two, three four five pro tip
- 29:59Speaker 3: sirm After replying the diaper ash cream wipe your finger
- 30:02Speaker 3: off on the inside of the clean diaper that you're
- 30:05Speaker 3: about to put on. Finger is clean and it's a
- 30:08Speaker 3: little extra backup cream inside the diaper.
- 30:13Speaker 1: That's a great dad hack.
- 30:14Speaker 3: That was a good dad hack.
- 30:15Speaker 1: My wife told me that one last night. Really yeah,
- 30:20Speaker 1: well just more of like lo shit, like yeah loshan,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I guess even even inside the crack. But yes, lotion
- 30:26Speaker 1: you get it on your hands instead of wiping it
- 30:27Speaker 1: on your pants, just wipe it off on the diaper
- 30:29Speaker 1: of the new diaper. And that's a great dad hack.
- 30:31Speaker 3: That's a great dad hack. And shout out to CDT
- 30:34Speaker 3: because he obviously was listening all the way through the episode.
- 30:37Speaker 3: We didn't even reference that till almost the end of
- 30:39Speaker 3: the episode.
- 30:40Speaker 1: That's a good dad hack.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Good dad hack.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Uh. Here's what I want to correct, okay, because what
- 30:45Speaker 1: we're not gonna do in the community is make anybody
- 30:47Speaker 1: feel less than sit back down. But we had Jeff
- 30:54Speaker 1: Burns sixty eight to fifty three a couple of days ago, say,
- 30:58Speaker 1: seventy two hours un till two under two. Thanks for
- 31:02Speaker 1: the motivation, fellas, And somebody replied in his to his
- 31:06Speaker 1: comment JM for me too, and all he replied, was
- 31:10Speaker 1: I got two under two. Just support your wife. You're
- 31:13Speaker 1: in for it. That's not bringing anything down. But I
- 31:16Speaker 1: don't like the angling of just you're just you're just
- 31:19Speaker 1: throwing advice at him when he's like, I got seventy
- 31:21Speaker 1: two hours until two under two, that dad needs support,
- 31:25Speaker 1: not being told what to do exactly. Does that make sense?
- 31:28Speaker 3: That may Hey, that makes sense.
- 31:30Speaker 1: We're here to support.
- 31:32Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Maybe maybe he meant it now that I'm reading out loud,
- 31:35Speaker 1: Maybe he's like, he's like, just support your wife. Maybe maybe,
- 31:41Speaker 1: But when I saw he had a reply, I'm like, Okay,
- 31:43Speaker 1: Dad's in here engaging. But what he just says, Hey, here,
- 31:46Speaker 1: here's do this versus Hey, here's something that think about?
- 31:51Speaker 1: You know what I mean? I think it's it's it's
- 31:52Speaker 1: the framing. He's coming on just to leave a comment.
- 31:54Speaker 3: But hey, buddy, I fucking love you. Just be there
- 31:58Speaker 3: for your wife. How about you put that next time?
- 32:01Speaker 1: Dude? Yeah, dude, I'm so stoked for you. Man two
- 32:04Speaker 1: hundred two. It's a grind, but you're gonna love it.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Be there for your wife. You're gonna crush it. Maybe
- 32:08Speaker 1: something like that, Hey, maybe when you come it.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Oh sureman only has a one month year old. What
- 32:15Speaker 3: kind of advice is he gonna give exactly? We don't
- 32:18Speaker 3: need that shit. Oh my god, I love it. I
- 32:24Speaker 3: love it, and hey, it's it's up to the author
- 32:27Speaker 3: where his heart was when he wrote that.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Yeah again, now that I'm saying that point stands, we
- 32:33Speaker 1: want to make sure the comments this is support. And
- 32:36Speaker 1: you see you see any bad slander in them comments?
- 32:39Speaker 1: You bet your ass. We need TT six on top
- 32:42Speaker 1: of We.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Need the goom berets on top of them too, because
- 32:45Speaker 3: it starts getting sideways. Goon platoon, please step in.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Did you see the young man? I'm assuming an adolescent
- 32:53Speaker 1: came in my comment section when I dropped that video
- 32:55Speaker 1: talking about how my wife almost lost her life last
- 32:58Speaker 1: week after making an off in comment during the mountain hike,
- 33:01Speaker 1: and where she's like, you have the easy job, you know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: you know how we do it around this brand and
- 33:06Speaker 1: within for the dads and within busting with the boys.
- 33:08Speaker 1: We have a little fun on social media. But some
- 33:10Speaker 1: young adolescent Tim Ryan was like, you're so cool, fuck
- 33:13Speaker 1: off man, this is weird. I saw. I said, bitch,
- 33:24Speaker 1: shut up and watch it again. Dropped the video again.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Somebody who commented under that because he recommented to you,
- 33:32Speaker 3: and somebody commented under him and said, watch it a
- 33:34Speaker 3: third time, Watch.
- 33:36Speaker 1: It a third time. PT six was coming for him
- 33:38Speaker 1: so much that, like this dude, he turned off his
- 33:41Speaker 1: He turned off his replies because PT six was ratioing him.
- 33:45Speaker 3: That's what I'm talking about. Also, the guy that called
- 33:47Speaker 3: you out for your fake you're not friends with Travis Kelce.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yeah he tried. But check out the news Bust scenes.
- 33:54Speaker 1: We're wapping up and hugging pretty strong.
- 33:56Speaker 3: That hug's crazy. Yeah, I got one from mav Bison
- 34:01Speaker 3: Ridge boys. We got to get a six to oh
- 34:04Speaker 3: one the dad shirt going.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I liked that idea.
- 34:09Speaker 3: I liked that idea.
- 34:10Speaker 1: You gotta think how much of a demand would there
- 34:15Speaker 1: be for six on one the dads. I do like
- 34:18Speaker 1: the promotion. The Promotion Act.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Also does promote Yeah, hey you need some dad advice,
- 34:27Speaker 3: call six on one the dads.
- 34:29Speaker 4: We definitely need a six oh one to dad sign
- 34:31Speaker 4: for the set somewhere.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Oh it's smart, chef, that's why you're a new hire.
- 34:38Speaker 4: I gotta come in some ideas.
- 34:39Speaker 3: And speaking of my last comment from comedian Discovery, congrats
- 34:45Speaker 3: chef Jack carrying the show, big contract offer, congrats on
- 34:49Speaker 3: the bag, very nice.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I want to say sorry to that guy came after
- 34:54Speaker 1: on the replay. That's it. Now, now that we've went
- 34:57Speaker 1: through that, I'm thinking maybe he was just he was
- 34:59Speaker 1: just saying just support your wife, which is which is
- 35:01Speaker 1: great advice. But I'm just thinking, my man, he was
- 35:06Speaker 1: just coming in there. He's excited seventy two hours until
- 35:08Speaker 1: two under two, probably looking for some camaraderie, some vibes.
- 35:11Speaker 1: We talk about it on the show. Congratulations, man, you're
- 35:14Speaker 1: gonna be in for one. It's gonna be great. But
- 35:17Speaker 1: you know, I would take this moment to say sorry
- 35:20Speaker 1: to my fellow papacile out there. If if yeah, if
- 35:22Speaker 1: he's a Papa seal, here.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Here's the deal.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Two under two he is. I'm sorry again.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Well, here's the deal. You get a lot of negative
- 35:30Speaker 3: comments throughout the week. Yeah, and so you can read
- 35:33Speaker 3: in a certain voice what somebody's saying, and maybe you
- 35:37Speaker 3: just read it wrong. Yeah, and hey, maybe he is
- 35:40Speaker 3: a jackass.
- 35:41Speaker 4: It's like that Key and Peel sketch where the guys
- 35:43Speaker 4: are texting and they're saying like that one guy's reading
- 35:45Speaker 4: it in a certain way and the others. Please tell me,
- 35:47Speaker 4: you guys have seen that.
- 35:48Speaker 1: I think I.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Should we go Bullington tonight. And the guy's like sure,
- 35:53Speaker 4: and he's like sure and he starts reading it one
- 35:55Speaker 4: way and they get like really pissed off or watching that.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I got I like how we've been resurfacing
- 36:02Speaker 1: some key and.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Peel Also, now you know how I feel with what
- 36:07Speaker 3: I said in our team meeting yesterday, Buddy, that.
- 36:11Speaker 1: That that again. I told you you don't have to
- 36:14Speaker 1: say sorry, and.
- 36:15Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying to you.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You expose yourself that you weren't paying attention at the
- 36:19Speaker 1: top of the meeting.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Couldn't agree more, couldn't agree more.
- 36:23Speaker 1: It wasn't misinterpretating anything. It was you asked that question
- 36:27Speaker 1: in front of the team, Hey, why are we doing
- 36:29Speaker 1: this again?
- 36:31Speaker 3: I mean I might as well have just walked halfway
- 36:33Speaker 3: into a movie and gone, why is why the fuck
- 36:35Speaker 3: is he doing that? What the fuck?
- 36:38Speaker 1: So? But but at that point, that's not walking it
- 36:40Speaker 1: halfway into a movie. That's you watching the entire movie
- 36:43Speaker 1: and in the middle of it you're just saying why
- 36:45Speaker 1: is he doing that? You're saying, why do you do that? Again,
- 36:49Speaker 1: I mentally and your wife's telling you, well, if you
- 36:51Speaker 1: weren't on your phone and you were paying attention, you
- 36:54Speaker 1: would know why they're doing that.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but at the beginning of the movie
- 36:58Speaker 3: they just talk. They're talking, So no need to apologize.
- 37:03Speaker 1: No need to apologize. Oh for you, Okay, understood, understand.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I have another one, A grow a gro vibes anyway,
- 37:16Speaker 1: future PT six member here, I've got three months of
- 37:19Speaker 1: buds training until I graduate to PT six Superstoke. We'll
- 37:22Speaker 1: be calling in from the delivery room and hospital once
- 37:26Speaker 1: our little guy is here. Love the show, Love you all,
- 37:29Speaker 1: and thanks for making a great pod. That's gas, that's
- 37:34Speaker 1: gas and a sick of move to call in he does.
- 37:37Speaker 1: I will say this a gro Vibes ninety three sixty five.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Continue to comment and remind us because we need Chef
- 37:46Speaker 1: to be able to find that voicemail when you do
- 37:48Speaker 1: when you hit that call in, and you might have
- 37:50Speaker 1: to start too based on your user name. Maybe you
- 37:53Speaker 1: don't like putting your name out there, but just just
- 37:55Speaker 1: say your first name at the end of your comments
- 37:57Speaker 1: so we know when we can be prepared. Three months
- 37:59Speaker 1: from now, when we're in the middle of football season,
- 38:01Speaker 1: in the middle of chaos, in the middle of freedom,
- 38:04Speaker 1: that we can remember to play your voicemail.
- 38:07Speaker 3: And if you're on Instagram or Twitter, you could DM Jack,
- 38:12Speaker 3: you could DM Willer myself and just be like, yo,
- 38:15Speaker 3: this is my phone number. That way we know, Okay,
- 38:19Speaker 3: that's the phone number. We'll look out for that on
- 38:21Speaker 3: for the dad.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I can find it as a contact on the phone,
- 38:23Speaker 4: which would help a lot.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I love that kayleb Boone. He's got a full one
- 38:29Speaker 1: on here. But the one that caught me attention is
- 38:31Speaker 1: his ps down at the bottom thinking of getting the
- 38:33Speaker 1: words good put up in the nursery to remind us
- 38:36Speaker 1: during every blowout, endless crying and sleepless nights. This is
- 38:39Speaker 1: all just an opportunity to get better. I love that
- 38:43Speaker 1: idea of having a good sign. Maybe you just got
- 38:45Speaker 1: Jocko Willing. Maybe we should make a sign. You have
- 38:48Speaker 1: a Jocko Willing just artwork sitting up there and it's
- 38:51Speaker 1: just good. I am obsessed with that idea.
- 38:54Speaker 3: That would be huge.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Yeah, we need to give them for this.
- 38:57Speaker 3: I was just about to say, or now good good,
- 39:02Speaker 3: because the good thing is really catching on on socials.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just the Yeah, it's it's helped us. I
- 39:09Speaker 1: know it helps us and mentally anytime we're gooning late
- 39:11Speaker 1: night on pubjee so weird to.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Say that the goon Now we just gooned, baby.
- 39:16Speaker 1: But when we're playing video games and we're telling each
- 39:18Speaker 1: other our stories and we're just kind of reminding ourselves
- 39:20Speaker 1: good and the uh.
- 39:22Speaker 3: I don't know if we ever talked about it. That
- 39:24Speaker 3: video that I put out where I was on the
- 39:25Speaker 3: toilet and I was like going out, Yeah, I was
- 39:30Speaker 3: going through it. But what made that moment so great
- 39:34Speaker 3: is that when I sat on that toilet and I'm
- 39:37Speaker 3: running through everything in my life, that is just what
- 39:40Speaker 3: the fuck?
- 39:41Speaker 1: SI?
- 39:41Speaker 3: I truly laughed. I said, gotta film it, gotta put
- 39:45Speaker 3: it on social media because good good, and he got
- 39:48Speaker 3: me in a good headspace and everybody's commenting good, good
- 39:51Speaker 3: good underneath it. Yeah, and it's like, yeah, you know
- 39:54Speaker 3: this is life where yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 1: We interrupt this episode because we are sponsored by ROW.

- 42:28Speaker 3: Dude, little scarscar is gonna be ripping what what age
- 42:33Speaker 3: is that? Probably zero to three?
- 42:36Speaker 1: Ain't no way six to twelve? Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 42:39Speaker 1: you're holding that up. I ain't no way o.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Thing.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:46Speaker 3: God, she's gonna be ripping some toots in that, ripping
- 42:49Speaker 3: some ships. Well, thank you, showbout you're.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Gonna rip your dead loss. I can rip my dead loss.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah, my dad loss this week is very quick. I
- 43:00Speaker 3: can go first the burps and the spit ups I got.
- 43:04Speaker 3: I got to get better at the burps. We did
- 43:07Speaker 3: get some little medicine to help Scarlet for the bedtime
- 43:11Speaker 3: feeds that we like put a little bit into a
- 43:14Speaker 3: syringe and put in her mouth to help with the gas.
- 43:18Speaker 3: But I just got to dial in the burping. Dude,
- 43:20Speaker 3: I'm not burping well enough. I feel like I'm getting
- 43:24Speaker 3: it down now. But we've just been coming in probably
- 43:29Speaker 3: like three two or three in the morning. She's just
- 43:32Speaker 3: got these pools of formula next to her in the crib.
- 43:37Speaker 3: I'm like, God, dang it, dude, I feel like so bad.
- 43:40Speaker 3: I'm like, that's my fault. I didn't burper well enough.
- 43:43Speaker 1: And Joe, you're not getting it out of it.
- 43:45Speaker 3: Yeah, Jillson there and going no, you get you know,
- 43:47Speaker 3: you can only control what you can control, Like you
- 43:51Speaker 3: know something is going on, whether it's the formula or whatever.
- 43:55Speaker 3: We're feeding her too much, Like you can't always control
- 43:58Speaker 3: it because I will get burps out of her.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Don't beat yourself up.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's a dad lost none the less.
- 44:05Speaker 1: You're right at the same time, Oh, Scarlet is in
- 44:08Speaker 1: a pool of milk. Good.
- 44:12Speaker 3: Good, dad got like four huge burps out of you
- 44:16Speaker 3: and you still vombed half your feed. Yeah, now you're
- 44:19Speaker 3: starving even though I fed you like a hour ago.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Good, wife's getting on you. Good. Good. You're talking to
- 44:26Speaker 1: yourself very badly good.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Good room for improvement, better self talk.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Yeah, my dad loss not a huge one. I think
- 44:37Speaker 1: this is just good for the dads out there because
- 44:39Speaker 1: I get a I don't get a bad hat, I
- 44:43Speaker 1: don't get in a bad head space. But it's it's
- 44:45Speaker 1: nothing that I feel like the male population and Papa
- 44:49Speaker 1: Team six is accustomed to when it gets brought up.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But embracing family photos before the family photos start, because
- 44:57Speaker 1: once you're in it and you're you're taking the photos,
- 44:59Speaker 1: you're having fun. And you're you know, you're having a
- 45:01Speaker 1: great time. Yeah, But leading up to it, when the
- 45:04Speaker 1: wife brings up, hey I want to do some family photos,
- 45:07Speaker 1: and usually my first things are you want to do
- 45:10Speaker 1: a couple hours of family photos? Or if we're on
- 45:12Speaker 1: a trip. I know we were trying to they were
- 45:14Speaker 1: the wives are wanting to find somebody out in Canada.
- 45:16Speaker 1: We never we never got to go in intro. Actually
- 45:18Speaker 1: brought her own camera, my camera. Yeah, because we end
- 45:22Speaker 1: up getting uh, we end up doing a little family
- 45:25Speaker 1: family photo session when we were down in Florida. But
- 45:27Speaker 1: my first inclination every time is resistance and poor body language.
- 45:32Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean if we can make it work
- 45:35Speaker 1: instead of like enthusiasm, because every time we get the
- 45:39Speaker 1: photos back and now I look back and have them,
- 45:41Speaker 1: I'm very happy that I have them. It's just it's
- 45:44Speaker 1: getting my mindset into seeking out we should do family photos.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Like a challenge to myself is almost beaten her to
- 45:51Speaker 1: the punch of like, hey we should do family photos.
- 45:54Speaker 1: That would really throw her for a lot.
- 45:55Speaker 3: I was just about to say, imagine the spin zone
- 45:57Speaker 3: when she goes, we need family photos and honey, I
- 46:02Speaker 3: was googling earlier this incredible lookout spot. I think it
- 46:06Speaker 3: would be perfect for it. Let me make sure and
- 46:08Speaker 3: see if it's open today.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Let me let me text it right now. Say we
- 46:11Speaker 1: should do some family photos this fall.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Get We'll get the leaf piles in the background. We'll
- 46:18Speaker 3: even get waffle in it. I think it would be
- 46:20Speaker 3: really fun. She's gonna dig this, dude and shout out
- 46:26Speaker 3: boom boom.
- 46:28Speaker 1: I just hit her with it. We should do some
- 46:30Speaker 1: family photos this fall.
- 46:31Speaker 3: I cannot wait to see the response what I would
- 46:33Speaker 3: love to do.
- 46:33Speaker 1: But it's like, all right, this is too selfish, but
- 46:36Speaker 1: also I think necessary. There's a family photo shooting Nebraska gear. Dude,
- 46:41Speaker 1: you have to do that, Charles. Not a Husker, though
- 46:45Speaker 1: she's a turps.
- 46:47Speaker 3: We get some turp stuff too, and dude, Nebraska and
- 46:50Speaker 3: terp shoot.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Then she's not like bought in like that for the terps.
- 46:55Speaker 1: You know what I mean? If plays Nebraska, neither was
- 46:59Speaker 1: my mom.
- 46:59Speaker 4: I'm the balls.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I need I need a converter, just full on
- 47:03Speaker 1: Husker like sweeter.
- 47:04Speaker 3: Come on, did she cheer for the turps?
- 47:07Speaker 1: That's a good question. She cheered at Washington. I think
- 47:12Speaker 1: she cheered for the turps.
- 47:13Speaker 3: Yes, Okay, so like there's some pride in there.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Do you not remember you not? No? She did cheer
- 47:20Speaker 1: for the turps?
- 47:21Speaker 3: She did?
- 47:21Speaker 1: Yes, okay.
- 47:22Speaker 3: The one of my favorite family photos of my brother
- 47:26Speaker 3: and I is my mom graduated from Alabama. We're just
- 47:29Speaker 3: in She bought us full helmet and pads were like
- 47:33Speaker 3: four and eight and we're in full Alabama pads in
- 47:37Speaker 3: the front yard. It's incredible, dude, I get the little
- 47:41Speaker 3: cheerleader outfits for the girls. Yeah, you throw on your
- 47:44Speaker 3: fifty one. Just be right next to him. Just my
- 47:51Speaker 3: daddad played for Nebraska.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah you did, honey? Yeah, yeay, your old man did
- 48:00Speaker 1: to play. How about crack a cole One? You got
- 48:02Speaker 1: crack a cole One? I got a couple crack of
- 48:04Speaker 1: cole Ones. Oh, and one I'm gonna shout out is
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna shout out coach drink Oh yes from a Zoo.
- 48:12Speaker 1: The head coach of Maszoo hit me up. He shot
- 48:16Speaker 1: me a dm on uh on Twitter on Sunday and
- 48:20Speaker 1: he said, I saw where you were talking about the
- 48:21Speaker 1: Five Types of Wealth book. It's incredible. I've been sending
- 48:23Speaker 1: and sharing with my friends and coaches all summer. Keep pounting,
- 48:26Speaker 1: keep pounting those messages. Our kids are a short time.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I'm not sure if you can make it out in
- 48:31Speaker 1: the photo. He sent me this photo of his desk
- 48:33Speaker 1: and he's got this little sticky note and it says,
- 48:38Speaker 1: but it has my life razor because if you read
- 48:40Speaker 1: the book Five Types of Wealth, it's like find your
- 48:42Speaker 1: life's razor, and his is I will take my kids
- 48:44Speaker 1: to school. And it's a promise to myself that once
- 48:47Speaker 1: a week during season and every day possible in the
- 48:49Speaker 1: off season, I'm taking them to school. And if I can't,
- 48:52Speaker 1: we start over. But I thought that was sick.
- 48:55Speaker 3: That's so legendary.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Head coach of Miszoo seeing I like to I think
- 49:00Speaker 1: he's watching the show in his office, but maybe he's
- 49:02Speaker 1: just catching the clips. Doesn't either way, it doesn't matter.
- 49:05Speaker 1: It warm my heart to get it. Receive a message
- 49:08Speaker 1: from a Division one head coach that is like he's like, yo,
- 49:12Speaker 1: I'm about this, check this out, and wants to send
- 49:13Speaker 1: you a photo on his own. I thought that was
- 49:15Speaker 1: really cool.
- 49:16Speaker 3: That's incredible. And the more and more that these coaches
- 49:18Speaker 3: interact with you guys, it's making my saturdays really hard
- 49:21Speaker 3: because then there's another reason to cheer for the Tigers.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Yes, I mean that's the home home state school.
- 49:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Yeah, So there's always like a little bit of like
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm watching what they do, but you know, I'm a
- 49:33Speaker 1: Husker through and through.
- 49:34Speaker 3: And I'm wanting to place a bed or something, and
- 49:36Speaker 3: I'm watching the game. I'm like, Oh, I can't cheer
- 49:38Speaker 3: against him. He's sending a really nice DM to Will.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Damn it, you want to hear of a dad w
- 49:43Speaker 1: I just caught Yeah, Charles just responded. I thought I'd
- 49:47Speaker 1: never hear you say that.
- 49:54Speaker 3: Brother. You just flipped her entire universe.
- 49:59Speaker 1: That's how it's dumb, and.
- 50:03Speaker 3: That's how it's done. Hey, yo, juice a little celebratory.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Too celebratory too. I'm calf I'm caffeinated to the fools
- 50:14Speaker 1: right now. You've been seeing me rip this form energy.
- 50:16Speaker 1: But this is like my not third cup of coffee,
- 50:18Speaker 1: but this is like my third caffeinated drink.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Yeah, this is my second form.
- 50:22Speaker 1: So I'm juiced up. Caffeine has consumed will Compton. Will
- 50:26Speaker 1: Compton has not consumed caffeine, So they're getting my best
- 50:28Speaker 1: right now.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Good good? What's your other crack of gole?
- 50:34Speaker 1: One. I kind of want to save it to the
- 50:35Speaker 1: end right now because I think it's I think it's cool.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I think it's sick, and I think people will dig it.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Okay, cool. I have a really quick cracker cold one,
- 50:45Speaker 3: and then we actually have a listener cracker cold one.
- 50:47Speaker 3: All right, just time time time, keeping it in an hour.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Mine's very quick. It's just falling in love with Scarlet
- 50:55Speaker 3: more and more each day. That's literally it. At first,
- 51:01Speaker 3: she's making the little squealing noises and I'm like, oh,
- 51:04Speaker 3: what the fuck is like, is something wrong with their watch?
- 51:06Speaker 3: She's making those noises. Now, when I'm hearing the from
- 51:10Speaker 3: outside of her nursery, I'm like, that's my little songbird
- 51:13Speaker 3: she's singing in there. That's my girl.
- 51:17Speaker 1: That fires me up, man, because they truly and every
- 51:22Speaker 1: parent knows, it just gets better and better.
- 51:25Speaker 3: I feel like I'm getting to know her more. Like
- 51:27Speaker 3: I don't know how to describe it. We can't even talk,
- 51:30Speaker 3: but it's like that look that she's giving me now
- 51:32Speaker 3: while I'm feeding her feels different and I can't describe it.
- 51:37Speaker 3: I'm like, you're actually looking at me right now, like
- 51:39Speaker 3: you're not This is different than when you used to
- 51:41Speaker 3: look at me like.
- 51:43Speaker 1: She's noticing you. She's recognizing you, and in due time
- 51:47Speaker 1: when she's looking you and you're approaching her in the mornings,
- 51:49Speaker 1: when you walk in that room, it's like with a
- 51:51Speaker 1: little Scottie Joe in the mornings when we go in
- 51:53Speaker 1: her room to get her. If I'll go in her
- 51:54Speaker 1: room to get her out of the crib and they're
- 51:56Speaker 1: just awakened. It just has the biggest smile on their
- 51:59Speaker 1: face to see you, And it is so cool when
- 52:03Speaker 1: I go home, Oh yeah, and I'm like, and she
- 52:08Speaker 1: used to be a massive smile. She might be on
- 52:11Speaker 1: the ground trying to like Army crawled in me. Or
- 52:13Speaker 1: if she's like kind of sitting, you place her sit
- 52:15Speaker 1: and she'll just start like she's getting hype.
- 52:19Speaker 3: She's gonna be two in Army crawling.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Dude.
- 52:23Speaker 3: I love it. Okay for the call in, uh for
- 52:28Speaker 3: our crack of cole one. Here we go.
- 52:33Speaker 1: We have a call in for a crack of cold one.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Yeah the listener so yeah, sorry, yeah, Liah listener, crack
- 52:38Speaker 3: of cold one and he called in. Here we go
- 52:41Speaker 3: with our what's going on? Fellas, Thank you for the show.
- 52:44Speaker 1: It's inspiring.
- 52:45Speaker 6: I'm a first time father of a five month old
- 52:48Speaker 6: and listening to you guys every day. It's just it's
- 52:51Speaker 6: it's incredible, and like I said, it's really inspiring. I
- 52:54Speaker 6: have a very rare I think it's a crack and
- 52:57Speaker 6: a cold one. We moved from an apartment to a
- 53:01Speaker 6: house and I had the moving company in the crib
- 53:04Speaker 6: and I had to disassemble the crib and then reassemble
- 53:07Speaker 6: it back at you know, the new house, which was
- 53:11Speaker 6: a fucking nightmare to itself.
- 53:13Speaker 3: It was I was scared shitless.
- 53:15Speaker 4: I asked for the.
- 53:15Speaker 6: Directions that I always keep a bag of directions for stuff,
- 53:18Speaker 6: and of course that's the one that's missing in the move.
- 53:21Speaker 6: So she's like, you gotta build this crib before he
- 53:24Speaker 6: gets back from Grandma's. And he has to like continue
- 53:26Speaker 6: effortlessly into his routine.
- 53:29Speaker 3: And so the pressure's on.
- 53:30Speaker 6: I mean, I am away at Penn State during a
- 53:33Speaker 6: white out Mobamba is playing in the back.
- 53:36Speaker 1: I'm kicking a fifty.
- 53:37Speaker 6: Yard field goal and in gon too my head. Put
- 53:40Speaker 6: this thing back together. I download all these PDFs I
- 53:43Speaker 6: do in reverse the kids back's easy transition. He goes
- 53:47Speaker 6: right to sleep, crib is built, wife is happy, crack
- 53:51Speaker 6: of coal. One of that one of my few dad
- 53:53Speaker 6: victories of this past five months. But I can hang
- 53:56Speaker 6: my hat on that pretty proudly.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Thanks for everything, guy. I love listening.
- 54:01Speaker 1: Keep it up, keep it.
- 54:02Speaker 6: Under an hour, and uh yeah, thank you again. This
- 54:05Speaker 6: is uh pop a team six baby out.
- 54:08Speaker 1: I goh cold, no, no, no, oh.
- 54:18Speaker 3: That might need to be so we have scrilla is
- 54:21Speaker 3: like when you're getting in the zone. Yeah for tuckings.
- 54:24Speaker 3: But the first time I listened to this, I would
- 54:27Speaker 3: love to add into the lore of our college football
- 54:30Speaker 3: comparison of when you are in the shit and it's
- 54:34Speaker 3: bad and you know it's bad, but it's good. Throw
- 54:38Speaker 3: on Mobamba. Let that away, crowd, let them get loud.
- 54:43Speaker 1: They And that's a great point because Mobamba is playing
- 54:47Speaker 1: when kickoffs. About that and you just gave up six.
- 54:50Speaker 1: You just gave up a score. Good, you gave up
- 54:53Speaker 1: a touchdown. We're trying to get the juices back. Good.
- 54:57Speaker 3: Coach looked at you. You're about to go out for
- 55:00Speaker 3: kick return.
- 55:00Speaker 1: You look at you.
- 55:01Speaker 3: We need a big one. Yeah, and you're just back
- 55:03Speaker 3: there all by yourself.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Just yeah, I go God. But if you're pregame or
- 55:13Speaker 1: you're about to go up for bedtime and you're trying
- 55:16Speaker 1: to juice yourself up. It's won't play too long, don't
- 55:23Speaker 1: I know we got the copyright stuff. Don't want to
- 55:25Speaker 1: play it too long.
- 55:28Speaker 3: God, that gets me juice, dude, not too long.
- 55:37Speaker 4: It's still gonna have to mute it.
- 55:39Speaker 1: You said you're still gonna have to mut it. You
- 55:41Speaker 1: can't tease it.
- 55:42Speaker 4: Maybe I'll see what YouTube. I have no clue how
- 55:44Speaker 4: that works.
- 55:47Speaker 1: It's like she walks by the bathroom in the hallway
- 55:51Speaker 1: and you're just rocket. She's like, wait, do get ready
- 56:00Speaker 1: for bedtime?
- 56:00Speaker 3: I was warming up a bottle, honey. I'm sorry.
- 56:03Speaker 4: I love you.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Oh, you know we need to do We need to
- 56:05Speaker 1: make a video where we're just like, we got the
- 56:06Speaker 1: music playing and while we're theming up, we're putting on
- 56:09Speaker 1: the eye black before we go for bedtime, dude, and
- 56:12Speaker 1: then we just make a highlight reel of knocking out
- 56:14Speaker 1: bedtime dude.
- 56:16Speaker 3: That's hey, we need to do that for these It's
- 56:20Speaker 3: like a little promo for the PT six shirts. That
- 56:24Speaker 3: could be a promo.
- 56:28Speaker 1: God, that's I got ice in my veins, so that's
- 56:30Speaker 1: not like a drug thing.
- 56:32Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, Family Show you just a couple of damnly show.
- 56:37Speaker 1: That's ice in my veinsh just like whoa, whoa whoa
- 56:44Speaker 1: family show.
- 56:45Speaker 3: If it's anything, it's colosstrum that we're putting in.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Yes, that's colossum. Make us better.
- 56:51Speaker 3: And I believe that that was an anonymous callin. Yes,
- 56:54Speaker 3: yes it was anonymous, but shout out that guy. We
- 56:58Speaker 3: can still reach out to and get merch. Okay, yeah,
- 57:02Speaker 3: yeah the phone. Sorry, yeah, I blanked. I was like,
- 57:06Speaker 3: how are we gonna do that if it's anonymous.
- 57:08Speaker 1: It since we're on the theme of dad hacks. Yeah, wait, wait, wait,
- 57:11Speaker 1: that was crack was.
- 57:12Speaker 3: Crack a cole one? That's okay, let's go into dad hacks.
- 57:16Speaker 3: You were on a roll.
- 57:17Speaker 1: We're going on the sideline. Hey, that one, that's that
- 57:21Speaker 1: one's on me.
- 57:22Speaker 3: That one's Let me keep the green dot please. I
- 57:24Speaker 3: didn't mean it.
- 57:26Speaker 1: But if you're talking about a military unit, there's not
- 57:28Speaker 1: many times you can say my bad. There's not many
- 57:31Speaker 1: times you could just say that's my bad. You might
- 57:33Speaker 1: have one if you're lucky.
- 57:35Speaker 3: There's only so many dead bodies. Hey, buddy, what are
- 57:39Speaker 3: we doing, Papa Team six? We cannot have too many
- 57:42Speaker 3: my bads now yea yeah, yeah, too many, I'll get
- 57:44Speaker 3: you killed. Take it. Take us into dad hacks. I
- 57:47Speaker 3: was done with Cracker cole one if you were, and
- 57:49Speaker 3: then we can come back to what are the.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Great great dad heck? This week, here is one that
- 57:55Speaker 1: comes from a comment or on YouTube. This is from
- 57:59Speaker 1: mccream Moorhouse six thousand and one. My fellow PT sixers,
- 58:03Speaker 1: I've got a dad hack for everyone that my family
- 58:06Speaker 1: now does. Traveling with kids can be tough. What we
- 58:09Speaker 1: implemented has been any long car rights for vacations. We
- 58:13Speaker 1: travel at night. We drove eight hours for our vacation
- 58:16Speaker 1: and started the trip at seven pm, so a one
- 58:19Speaker 1: and a half year old only had an hour in
- 58:21Speaker 1: the car before they were knocked out the entire car ride.
- 58:26Speaker 1: It's a game changer because now you get to listen
- 58:28Speaker 1: to the songs or podcasts that you want to listen
- 58:31Speaker 1: to instead of spamming the same song over and over
- 58:34Speaker 1: for eight hours. You don't have to listen to them
- 58:36Speaker 1: scream every minute and you look at your wife and
- 58:39Speaker 1: think you were going to go insane if they don't
- 58:42Speaker 1: shut up. It will be tough to stay awake. But
- 58:47Speaker 1: as a PT six you have been through way worse.
- 58:51Speaker 1: That's game right there. That He's right, man, you do
- 58:54Speaker 1: got to spam the same song for basically the entire trip.
- 58:57Speaker 1: If you're lucky you're driving, Hey, I'm gonna throw in
- 59:01Speaker 1: an air pod. I'm gonna throw in a headphone only
- 59:04Speaker 1: in one ear so I can listen to my own thing,
- 59:06Speaker 1: because I'll throw it in my ear like on the
- 59:08Speaker 1: left ear. As I'm driving. Room might be back right
- 59:10Speaker 1: right in the back seat, to the right side, so
- 59:12Speaker 1: we'll put all the sound into where she is. So
- 59:15Speaker 1: it's like, you know, the sound gets away from you
- 59:16Speaker 1: as much as possible because she wants this certain song
- 59:19Speaker 1: over and over and over. But that's a great dad hack.
- 59:23Speaker 3: That That is a og Papa shirm dad hack too.
- 59:27Speaker 3: If my dad's listening right now, he's like, yeah, he's.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Again, he's turning up the scriller right now.
- 59:36Speaker 3: But yeah, the road trips to Florida back in the
- 59:38Speaker 3: day from Texas, that's a nice twelve hours leave at
- 59:43Speaker 3: the crack of dawn, drive through the night. Oh yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 3: oh yeah.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Eliminate, do whatever you can to try and eliminate the chaos, yes,
- 59:51Speaker 1: could ensue in the car. That's it.
- 59:52Speaker 3: That is a genius dad hack. And we got a
- 59:54Speaker 3: little bit of a curveball for you later with the
- 59:57Speaker 3: call ins because you got another travel uh call in
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: at seeking advice, but a little bit different scenario. He's
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: not gonna be able to travel at night, so we'll
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: see how that goes.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: My dad hack also comes from a listener. This comes
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: from Dagan. Dagan garrity Uh. He had three dad hacks
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: for us. First one is being present is better than
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: being perfect. He said he grew up in a in
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: a home without a father, and so going into being
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: a father, he just wanted perfection. And he said it's
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: not always going to be perfect. Learn that really quickly,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: and just being there for when whatever happens, that's what's
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: really needed. So I love that lesson.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: That's more of like a lesson at the end of
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: the show than a dad hack.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: Just wait for these next two. He's on one on
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: one less impulsive and more intentional with our words. When
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: you're in the heat of a struggle, you're in the
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: heat of babes crying Wrigley's barkin. You know your boy
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: was impulsive and spanking that dog getting mad. You're not
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: fit to hold our daughter. I mean, I blew it.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Would you say to her when she said that, you
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: know what I said? I said, bitch, I said give
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: me my daughter. I said, give me my daughter. Yeah,
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: but you said I said, I said, bitch, I said it.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Yeah, he said, no, Oh my god, I would It
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: would have been in the motel six so fast. But yeah.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: He was just like, hey, be less impulsive and be
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: intentional with your words, like whatever comes to mind in
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: those heat of the moments, like really think about what
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: you're about to say, how that's going to affect your wife,
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: what your kids are going to see when they you know,
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: hear that or see that, which I thought was great.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: And then, uh, this is the best one of all.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: He said, whenever your wife comes to you with an
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: issue and it's like a really you can tell it's
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: really bothering her, hit her with a do you want
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: comfort or a solution before she goes into the whole spiel,
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: because maybe she just wants to tell you how much
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: it sucks and she just wants you to sit there
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: and listen. She doesn't need you to solve the problem.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: She just needs to be heard in the moment. And
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: I was like man Jill. That happens a lot with Jill,
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: where like she does, she doesn't want the answer, She
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: doesn't want me trying to figure it out. She just
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: wants me to hear how hard her day at work was.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: So I thought those were some great Oh those.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Were bars, those were those were into the show quotes lessons.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, one he killed it. So I really don't
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: even have a dad hack for this week. I just
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I read those. I was like, d M.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Dagan, I said, brother, you're my dad hack this week.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: So that's it.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Those are good.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: Those are good.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: There's a a dad hack that I I that I have,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: and it you'll as Scarlett gets older. And for the
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: parents out there that might have toddlers or they remember
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: the toddler years, their memory is really good at like
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: remembering stories, like remembering what you say. And when you know,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Ruth starts getting in the just all of a sudden,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: it's I want to see mama. I want to give
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Mama one more hug, or she kind of starts not
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: losing it a little bit, but losing it a little bit.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Or I want something that I want to eat a dessert. Sweetheart,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: you already had your dinner, I want another snack, or
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: they start kind of spasm. One thing I did recently
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: that worked was like changing a word in a book
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: that she knows, because then she wants to correct you back, like, no, Dad,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: it's not it's not the sand, it's the beach. At
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: the beach. Oh at the beach. You're right. And then
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I'll just continue to read and I'll like change one
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: word every now and then because she'll start laughing. She's like, no,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: that's not that, it's this. I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: how did you know that?
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: And not me?
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Dada's so silly, And then it completely refocused them and
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: reset her on just storytime and reading the book, like
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: just stay in, stay in in the cadence.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: I really do love that dad hack. But dude, I
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: just have to bring up I don't think that's normal.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Like I think Rue has really good memory.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I think she does have very good memory. But again,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: this is just me, my child, you know what I mean.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if it's like I
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: feel like kids have great memories because they can pull
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: stuff that you're just surprised about. But as far as
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: like understanding books and everything else, I do feel like
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: ru has a pretty a pretty like a bear trap of.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: A memory real And that was less of I'm sorry
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: if that came across as me diminishing the dad, Heck,
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: it was more of gassing up Rue of like her
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: memory is insane, dude, that's impressive. I want to see
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: how what that develops into.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: I'm excited to know the difference in one word in
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: a book is like, that's awesome.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: But that is my dad hack. Let's go change the
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: wordage up, change the story up a little bit. See
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: if they're paying attention. See if they've been paying attention.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: Put some food in front of me, and you know,
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: just get just a course correct too.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: If it's like the the train is getting off the
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: tracks a little bit, just to get it back on,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: just like just a quick one to get him giggling
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: something that they know, you're like, oh this happened, No, dad, Dad.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: That's not what happened. And she's not worried about going
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: to hug mama or get the snack.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because I like at times when I was reading
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: it was back when she picked the ones that are
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: like bigger. Now, she's been pretty solid thus far Fancy
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Nancy if it's a new one. If it's a new one,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: on Fancy Nancy towards a little bit younger. Yeah, and
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: she doesn't necessarily recognize everything. I'll try and like skip
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: a paragraph or two so I can get through the book,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you know what I mean a little quicker. But if
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I forget something that she's aware of, she's like, no, Dad,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: you you forgot uh this part?
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: Do you skip pages? Ever?
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I've tried. Yeah, there's this one, this one like Doctor
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Seuss book. It's like seventy something pages. Like they're quick,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: they're like short, couple of liners. But it's seventy something pages. Bro,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: that's crazy. Seventy pages is crazy. I don't care how
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: many words are on the page. Seventies a lot.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: Agent.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: I'll try when I get home, I'll try to I'll
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: try to find that one and send it to you
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: to let you know. Anyboddy, careful on this one, careful
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: on this one? Yeah? Yeah, but you brought up one thing.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, you were talking about Oh the listeners
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: at home, dude, they want to update on Fancy Nancy.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: How did that go? Apparently you got a new Fancy
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Nancy book.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Root came almost six books, and two of them were
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Fancy Nancy.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: And what how what's your reaction when you see that
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: son of a bitch.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Alex say, She's like, did that? Want to show you
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: the books? Okay, show me the books. And she'll start
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: showing like, oh my gosh, Lily and my lowd this
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: looks awesome. Angelina Ballerina, Yeah, oh maybe a frozen Oh
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: my gosh, this looks like so much fun. I know
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you're gonna love this one. And then she'll start show
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: me fancy Nancy and like, oh, fancy Nancy, and I
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: just look over at my wife. Oh, fancy Nancy.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Fancy Nancies.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Oh seconds, fancy Nancy.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: Charles loving it, loving it. Oh, I'm sorry about the
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: fancy Nancy.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: I just I saw that quote graphic and died laughing.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, but there were some good book recommendations
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: out there. I do want to get that Jocko Willing
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: series that people talk about, but I did see it's
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: like it could be for a few years older. Maybe
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: she's not there yet. I haven't dove into actually research
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the books, but a lot of good book wrecks out there. Yeah,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I think it'd be fun if if I know, for
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the dads wrote a little children's book.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Hey, we had a little we had a little combo,
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: just a little combo. Nothing crazy, nothing crazy, but a conbo.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: We had a little conversation.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: That's all we're saying. What are the odds?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Yes? Can I take a Can I take a quick
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: potty break?
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: I'll go potty too.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: We'll call five.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Back from potty break. Do you have to go potty? Maybe? Yes?
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Maybe no? Why don't you sit and try to go?
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: What is that an original?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: No, that's Daniel Tiger.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we've heard about Daniel Tiger.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: We've heard about We've heard about old DT. I got
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: a good show, good show.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I cannot wait for that part too, of
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: like when she's starting to watch shows.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Man, Yeah, because to me, they're like Ru's obsessed with
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: little Bear. But I'm excited as we navigate, like I
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: want to get her on the Star Wars wave because
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: they have the animated Star Wars. I haven't watched it
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: on a big fan, big consumer of Star Wars content,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: but I haven't watched the animated stuff, like on the
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Disney app on the Disney Channel and they got.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: The like really really little kid stuff now too.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think that would be really cool, really cool.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: I do have a good what are the odds?
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Let's hear it.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: It is in reference to the PT six shirts BWTB
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: dot com, BWTV dot com. More importantly, what are the odds?
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: Thank you, FanDuel. This week's comes from John Simino. This
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: is a listener. What are the odds?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Johnny?
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: John reached out to me on Wednesday when the episode
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: dropped last week where we were orbed yeah, last week
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: where we're like, hey, shirts are coming out the following day.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: He said, sure, I know shirts are coming out the
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: following day. Is there any way that I could order
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: the shirt today? Because WiFi gets induced on Sunday and
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: I gotta have that PT six shirt when I'm walking
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: out of the hospital with baby girl.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: So what's the one of the odds? What's the what
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: are the odds question? What are the odds that I
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: can get the shirt?
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: What are the odds that he got the shirt on
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: time and got the pick?
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Odds I'm placing at plus four hundred.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: Buddy, plus ten thousand. He got the sh shirt, he
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: got the pick, send it to us, Go ahead, chef
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: pull that pick up PT six shirt came in time.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: He ordered it on Thursday.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Is he the one that posted the photo of him
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: walking out of the ice?
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: Dude?
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: That's him. What a legend because I remember thinking, like, damn,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: he got that shirt fast. He got it.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he must have paid something, something expediting.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: But and he had so he just did it on
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: the site or were you able to commute on the
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: site he did on the site.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: That was the boys that showed belt the boys at
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: the warehouse killing it, showboat killing, shout out g shout
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: out Alex everybody.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: But we would have loved to have got our shirts.
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: That we got him.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: We got him, baby, But you complain it. It'd be
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: nice to have the shirts as we're dropping the shirts. Hey,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: but that fires me up though, that's sick. That's cool.
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: And he had that.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: You're gonna tell me you you worked the back channels
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and got it out to him that that was gonna
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: be the legendary. But you're right. If it's waiting until
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: the site drops, that is plus I don't know about
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: ten thousand, but that's plus thousand at least.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, that was awesome.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Then, got it? I tell you're gonna say you pulled
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: the you made an X play Oh me getting it
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: to hit up? G hit up Alex, Like, can we
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: give them a.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: Man of shirt and we gotta get this guy it's
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: my dad. Yeah, it's for my dad.
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Should we dive into survival kit what you should have
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: or equip yourself with? I would love that in your
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: little toolbox. Yes, my survival kits shout out. This week's
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: goes to a couple companies, but it's these monthly subscriptions
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: that send you some toys. So this one, the one
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: that we use, are the ones that we've had experience
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: with is uh Love Every play kits and books every
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: two to three month, every two to three months with
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: where they're at an age. And then another one we
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: have a little bit of experience with is Kiwiko. They
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: send you projects, they send you projects. They send projects
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: to you every month for all different ages, so you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: get like a different project to mess with. Love Every
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: is more like uh. I would say, like, you know,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: play toys like things that help with your development and curiosity.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: They're both companies good at brain building, development discovery. But
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I love the I love the one where you get
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: it every two to three months, and there's like some
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: toys and books in there they were like pumped for.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: And then with with Kiwi Code, they send projects that
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: your kids are like working on. So I thought, I
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: think those things are awesome. Love sponsors and future sponsors
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: out there.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: If you good sponsor us, we would love to use
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: brands that we use. I I looked at Kiwi Coast site.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: It looks really really cool. It looks very fun. Dude,
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: the little things that they're sending. I'm like, they did
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: not have this back in the nineties or you know,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: eighties whatever when we were growing up.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it feel like it's getting popular too, because I
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: was hearing I was hearing Clump talk about it. He's like, oh,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: we do we do Keywi Code. They send Again, it's
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: like for different ages too, so they might be in
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: a different stage like zero to three, three to six,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: whatever it is. But if you go on their site,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: you can see it all, you can shop it. But
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: if you if you're in the subscription, you'll get a
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: different project for your kids to kind of formulate and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: figure out every month. Yeah, which I think is dope.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: And it adds a layer of fun. From hearing you
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: talk about it and shout out Jeremy shout out his kids,
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: Brady JJ Aubrey of how much anticipation his kids have
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: for that package to come in.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, they're like, did it com?
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Did it com?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Yeah? Because Rue's not at that age yet to where
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: it's like she's aware. It's almost like, hey, another you know,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: another present came in the mail from Kimiko or love
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: every you know what I mean. It's a box and
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: she's excited to open the box. But to where they're
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: older and they're anticipating, Hey, has it come yet? Has
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: it come yet? That'll be uh, that'll be fun. But yeah,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: that's my that's my survival kit. Those are my survival
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: kit recommendations right there.
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: I one great survival kit too. I'm excited to implement
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: that myself. I need to get on that train.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Three.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: I have a survival kit that might piss you off
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: because it's not tangible. It's not it's not real yet.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: And you're like Sherman Chef, we gotta get the ball rolling.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: We gotta make these things that we keep on talking
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: about for the store for PT. Six, et cetera. I digress.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: So this is gonna be something that we should do. Yes, let's.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: Keep I'll keep it quick burpcloth good. Oh that didn't
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: piss me off to that excited me to quote, well,
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: we'll comp then, buddy, buddy, buddy, and JP certainly knows
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: what I'm talking about. Because the burp cloth with good
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: on it. Oh, my dad lost the spin ups, dude,
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: and I pulled the burp cloth with good on it.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: There's no way I'm going into that with the negative. Dude,
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: I'm like good, or.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: When it kind of falls off your shoulder, or if
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: you forget to put it on, especially with my with
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: the second one with Scotti, I forget to put it
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: on with Scotty because you get a little, you know,
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: you get a little, you get a little loose with
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: your routine with the segon. When the second kid comes,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: like grew would have the little not the scarf, but
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the bandana around her next and when she spits up,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: she's not like spitting up on her outfit. Yep. Yeah,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: So that way you can just kind of clean that
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: or you let that drives, but the outfit is saved.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: And then I would you know, obviously be doing the
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: burp cloth. But with Scotty have got a little lazier
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: to not having the burp cloth because you're saying, oh,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna burp, and then she's just she's puking all
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: over you. No yeah, And I'm just like, I'm doing
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: this to myself. But if I look over and I
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: see the good burppoth hanging versus like, damn it, Scotti,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: like that's why'd you have to do that to your
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: old man?
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: That is the exact situation that that was the inception
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: of this idea was. I was in that recliner with
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: Scarlet and I just got done feeding. I'm okay, I
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: need cloth because she's about to spit up. If I
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: don't get a vertical, where is it? Where is it?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Shit?
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: I just got to put her on me. And now
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: I look over at the changing table and it's just
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: sitting there staring at me the burp cloth, And imagine
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: if it had said yeah yeah. And it's just.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Because when you look at the burp cloth in your
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: a moment, you're just like you kind of like rip
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: the burp cloth off or something like you just want
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: to punish the purple cloth because for whatever reason it
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: didn't make your way on its shoulder. You got to
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: blame in the burp cloth.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: Well, and it was all the way across the room,
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: I requires across the room from the changing table, so
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: it was truly staring at me where I was like,
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: but your.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Idea and you see it hanging there, you look at
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: it and you kind of just grin like, yeah, you
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: know what? Good? Yeah, this should have happened.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I'm just I'm throwing it out there, dude.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: We'll make it. Patches, shirts, blankets, blankets, posters, books, burp clall,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: we make those. But the list of things that we
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: haven't made yet that is in pre production pre production
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: to the pre production Yeah.
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Can I add to it for the patches issue,
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: because what we're going to do the patches with we
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: should make a backpack, like a parent style backpack. I
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: don't know there's specific ones with straps on the back
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: that people can put patches. So when we sell patches,
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: we also have a for the dad's backpack for whatever reasons.
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: You may need one if you're going on trip or
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: something like that.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: You know what scares me about these good ideas? Can
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I ideas are a dime a dozen? It's people who
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: execute on ideas and we're throwing out so many like
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: this might create urgency for somebody else to get these
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: ideas rolling.
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: We can bleep that one now.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Stually, we don't have to bleep it. We want people
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to know that at least we're thinking about it. We're
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: coming up with it. Yeah, you know what I mean,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: not coming up with it, because again, everybody's got these ideas,
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: but it's it's a squad to execute on them, and
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: we have to.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: We have to execute. That's on the to do list.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I thought Captain a Seman Team six was gonna say,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: we're talking about Burke class he's talking about he's talking
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: about the comrags or something.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: It can work for that too. I think that'd be great.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I think that'd be great. See with Team six, we
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: got a product for you guys as well.
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: The goon Berets are sitting there going, heck a rag.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: She didn't come over tonight. Good the closer at the bar.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: Good Mom comes over to the apartment. Oh you gotta
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: you got a little minten thing for the oven. Hey, yeah, mom,
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: it's exactly what it is. Don't touch that, let me
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: see that.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, the goon Berets yeah, the goon berets dude.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: But yes, that was my survival came. We did what
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: are the odds? We did Dad hacks, crack a cole
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: One and Dad losses, which means it's time for our
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: call in six on one of the dads. We'll come there.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: Are you ready?
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I believe so as ready as I can be.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: We got a banger right off the start, and you've
- 1:19:15Speaker 3: heard them, Yeah, I've heard these bomb let me play it?
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Missed him? Good, good, good, let's going on.
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: That was thank you for the show. That was the
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: wrong one, hey.
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: Boys, is Patrick from Phoenix, Arizona.
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: That's not the right one either.
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: That's not the right one either.
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: Before we're going with our reoccurring our first reoccurring.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Guests, hand up on can we get this right?
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: Hand up on that one?
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: No, hand up on that one. Sherman saved it wrong
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: and great, great point keeping it under an hour as usual.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: I got hos calling on the mother.
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: You're gonna be You're gonna be pumped up for this one, will.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Boys, I'm back.
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: That's your mate Nathan from Downy and very proud first
- 1:20:21Speaker 7: friend of the show. Yeah, first off, share me a
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: massive congrats to you and the missus on the new
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: bottle of joy.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Seriously, mate, soak it all in the late nights.
- 1:20:31Speaker 7: The cuddles, the baby smells, and that feeling when they
- 1:20:34Speaker 7: fall asleep on your chest.
- 1:20:36Speaker 3: Nothing beats it.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Make best time of your life right now, nothing mate.
- 1:20:40Speaker 7: Now, boys, I'm getting a little bit worried about my
- 1:20:42Speaker 7: princess ivory. Not because she's doing anything bad, but because
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: this the legend, has already figured out the ancient ae
- 1:20:48Speaker 7: manipulation obi one can over type stuff Jedi mind tricks.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: Now she's only three and.
- 1:20:54Speaker 7: Already knows how to read me like a book. She'll
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: be walking past the toy section at the shops and
- 1:20:58Speaker 7: be like, Daddy, I do have this snow white dress,
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: and look they have my size size three? Can I
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: get it? I'll do very good listening from now on, please,
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: And then there you go, another dress added to the collection.
- 1:21:11Speaker 7: Even though she hadn't listened to me for the whole day.
- 1:21:15Speaker 7: Then the other day she wanted a chalky just before dinner.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Choky.
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: I don't know if you say choky or chocolate anyway,
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: Chucky is a chocolate.
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: I said, no, chucky, which means chocolate. I'm writing that
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: one down.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: A chucky means chocolate.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: She said that I want to chucky, that I want
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: a chucky.
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: I am doing my best down here.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: She pauses.
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: He looks up me with those big blue eyes and says, Daddy,
- 1:21:42Speaker 7: I just love you. I'm thinking, what's that got to
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: do with bloody Chocky's But I gave it to her anyway,
- 1:21:48Speaker 7: because honestly, I don't know if I was being played
- 1:21:51Speaker 7: or she's just a genius. She's got this little smirk
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: she pulls when she knows she's in charge, and I'm
- 1:21:57Speaker 7: just a bloke driving around buying prince princess dresses. Princess
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: is princess that my wife just sits there shaking her
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: head like you're hopeless, and she's rot. I am hopeless,
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: but she's right. But I'm head out of her heels
- 1:22:09Speaker 7: for this little lady I'll help create. So yeah, boys,
- 1:22:13Speaker 7: pray for me. Danny. I'm already losing the battles and
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: she hasn't even started school yet.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: This is what three looks like.
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: I'm bloody terrified at third am, but hey, wouldn't try
- 1:22:23Speaker 7: it for the world. She's got me wrapped up, stitched
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: up and smile on every day being a girl. Dad
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: won't send me bloody broke, but I've never been richer
- 1:22:31Speaker 7: at hot chans legends.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I'll talk to you soon. Oh it warms my heart, dude,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: bro can I And he's right, bro rude, just randomly
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: saying that. She's like, I love you, And I think
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: to myself, has she figured out a genuine way of
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: communication that she just knows that Dad loves to hear that?
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: Or is there something coming down the pipe for a
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: snack or a chucky?
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: Has it happened yet?
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Snacks? Absolutely? Or a tree she goes, You're like, chocolate
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: will be deadad kind of tree. But they're master manipulat.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: Yeah they are. Dude, Mine can't and talk yet. And
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: if I knew what she wanted in the slidest she
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: would have it in five seconds. She would have it.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: It's tough, buddy, I'm telling you right now, dead dad
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: kind of cookie? No, sweeter, you can't. If I'm in
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: front of mom, No, I told you can't have a cookie.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: And Sam, I go back to the pantry and on
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: that link and I'm like you, I've done that one time. Yeah,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: I've done that one time.
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: Does she love it?
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm like, because they got loose lips now, yeah,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: yeah they do.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: Dad, Dad gave me chucky. Yeah, well he wasn't supposed
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: to do that.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: Either Rue is lying or Will went behind my back.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: Can I also, can you pull up this picture of Nathan.
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: I want to show you Nathan. Dude, he sends a
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: picture with his daughter. Oh my gosh, what a legend.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: Dude, He's a legend and he is I'd like to say,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: set up for success, but like all of us girl
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: dads man were doomed. Dude, they got us wrapped around
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: their finger. Bro, look at this dress. Oh it's in
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: my size.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: That is crazy. That sounds like that's Jill right now.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: Yeah, Nathan, thank you for calling in.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: Nathan. We love you, bro, Thank you for calling in.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: It's great to hear your voice. That Australian accent just
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: brightens my day.
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: She's gonna run me bloody barunk yeah everything he says.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: I just like, I want Nathan's voice for myself.
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: He kind of sounds like Core from the Thorn movies.
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: He does, yes, he does. And that guy's New Zealand type. Yes,
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: he's a soft New Zealand voice. Have you heard his accent?
- 1:25:03Speaker 4: Probably I've seen Thor said it's uh, he's in Thor Ragnarok.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: So the third one, okay, I'll show you a video after.
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: He's the one that took like this. It's like kind
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: of simoing, kind of Polynesian revenue.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. If I saw it, I think
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: I would know it. But yeah, that that that voice
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: is all time, all time, all time. Great for the listeners.
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: Thank you, Nathan. Uh and a good reminder six on
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: one The Dad's at gmail dot com. You can send
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: in a voice memo. Also, if our voicemail is clogged
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: over the weekend, just a shout out reminder. You can
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: text six O one the Dad's a voice memo because
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: sometimes we're out of the office. The six on one
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: Dad's like, there's a lot of call ins. Yeah, it'll
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: get plugged. Send us a voice memo. Send us a
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: voice memo and we will play it. Uh second d.
- 1:25:55Speaker 8: Second dad, call Hey boys, This is Patrick from Phoenix,
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: Era Zona. Twenty six year old girl.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Dad.
- 1:26:03Speaker 8: She's sixteen months right now.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: But my wife and I have.
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: A big trip coming up in October where we're doing
- 1:26:09Speaker 8: an International Mission to England, and frankly not concerned about
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: when we get there. There'll be plenty of stuff to
- 1:26:15Speaker 8: occupy her where we're there, plenty of parks, et cetera.
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: What I'm concerned about is transportation. We've got an eleven
- 1:26:22Speaker 8: hour flight there and back, and I am worried that
- 1:26:25Speaker 8: our little soldier is not going to be able to
- 1:26:29Speaker 8: a sleep or be stay occupied enough where mom and
- 1:26:33Speaker 8: Dad do not tear each other's hair out because we're
- 1:26:36Speaker 8: arguing the entire flight because we haven't slapped the slash
- 1:26:39Speaker 8: aren't comfortable. So appreciate any tips or tricks for those
- 1:26:44Speaker 8: long flights, because right now that is the part that
- 1:26:47Speaker 8: is terrifying us the most so appreciated. Boys, Congratulations Chef
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: on the full time offer and keep your head up
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: sharing those first few weeks are tough. Try and get
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: those two and a half hour sleep blocks that you
- 1:26:59Speaker 8: can when you're sleep them through the night. Chared Boy thinks.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: It's quite literally what I got last night.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: Pete, Pete, Peter, Pete. Yeah, I wish I had some
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: good advice for you. Look, this is one of those things, man,
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: when the chaos is ensuing, because it will at some point.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: I remember when we flew to Italy and the way there,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: uh Ru was pretty good. Rue was pretty good. And
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: the way we traveled now, like when we flew to
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: Canada and back, and I mean that's only a four
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: or five hour flight. We flew to Hawaii, that's like
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: six seven hours. We did with both kiddos. When they're young,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: they're easier, but many if they're awake and rolling. It's
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: like our entire backpack survival kit is the toys of
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: stuff that kind of keeps her occupied. On the flight
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: to Canada, we had like you know, crowns and coloring
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: out for like blue. She got a little coloring book
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: with bluey yeah, or like the little sticker books that
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: you saw Rue play with. Oh yeah, like the clear
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: stickers where you can kind of remove them and put
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: them back on everywhere.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Yup, those are big.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Just keeping them busy. She's got a little like we
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: call it a laptop, but a little like pink thing
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: that flips up and you can play like little little
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: like keyboard games. Just keeping them busy. Because we don't
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: we we we don't. Ru doesn't do like a screen
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: or anything yet, so we don't have like an iPad
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: or nothing that they can watch with it. I feel
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: like that would relieve a lot of headaches. But we're
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: doing our best to kind of prolong that, prolong that
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: as long as we can.
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: I think we'll do the same.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but just dude, keep them busy. Maybe they want
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: to walk up and down the aisles and you'll be
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: out walking up and down the aisles. I don't know
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: if he said the age.
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: Kid uh, I don't know either, but it sounded like
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: it is first time traveling this amount of distance with
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: the child.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: I want to say, like eighteen months or something like that.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: Okay, okay, So rue was around eighteen months when we
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: went to Italy again. Going there, it wasn't terrible on
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: the way back, Oh no, nightmare on the way back nightmare. Fortunately,
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: we were flying back and we had a lot of travel.
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: Like the day of we had to take like we
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: had to take a we had to take a boat.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: What do they call that transportation, like when you're getting
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: a ferry. Yeah, we had to take a ferry early
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: in the morning to get to one spot. We flew
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: up to London, I believe, and then London to America.
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: But the London to America one. We were all pretty
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: solid getting to London and everything else. You started to
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: get a little fussy when we were at the London airport,
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: but then when we flew to America, we were delayed
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: an hour on the tarmac. But Rue was already at
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: a ten, like getting on whether she was overtired orver stimulated,
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: whatever it was. And this was a full blown body
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: stiff screaming. Couldn't get her calmed down and sitting around everybody,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: it was that was a test. Yeah, that was a
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: true test because it a getting your anxieties high, especially
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: if it's your first time traveling around two with the kiddos,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: like it was still early the game for us too
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: as far as traveling. That was our first big travel
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: and you're just so conscious. You feel like everybody's staring
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: at you, and you're just in it, bro, and you're
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: just like please rude, just call you. Couldn't do nothing
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: to get her calmed down, you know what I mean,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: Like if it was a routine fussing and everything else
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: or you know, breakdown or fit, like it wasn't a
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: routine when this one was full blown. We need air support,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: and we need air support now. Fortunately, I had. There
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: was somebody sitting next to me who's a big fan
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: of bus and he was wearing an SR. Stevenson Ranch hat,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: and they were flying back to go back to their kids,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: their their little one, their baby that they hadn't seen
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: in a couple of weeks. So they were stoked. They
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: totally got it. But that was the That was the
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: trip where I told you some old man, some old
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: man in the back, I don't go wing when when no, buddy,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: no buddy, I was, we don't need that shit, we
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: don't need that ship. I was so fucking mad, bro,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: And I'm thinking to myself, this fucking guy, I look,
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: I didn't know who it was, and I just stood
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: up and turned around in the back and was just
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: kind of like grazing a crawl for whatever it could
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: have been, because I'm thinking, maybe maybe they'll think twice
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: if they look at this physique or this stature, because
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: I'm ready to go in the A gap right now,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Oklahoma drill right in the aisle of the airplane. But
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: nobody spoke up. I didn't figure out who it was
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: from what I heard. It could have been somebody, you know,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: had a screw loose or something.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: The word got around they got back to you.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because I was trying to figure it out. Hey,
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: who says something back there?
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: They didn't realize twenty sixteen, Captain, they didn't realize.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: They ain't even realize they had a husker on the plane.
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: Good lord, I dude that you're just not scared. Like
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: I told you this before, You're not scared of that anymore,
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: like Scarlett has trained me to wear. I'm not scared
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: of that. React right, Let's get in the phone booth. Yeah,
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: like I've seen worse, buddy, I'm not too worried about it.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: We're we're walking Scarlet out of a parking garage instead
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: of going up the stairs. It was like two flights
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: of stairs to leave the parking garage, or just go
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: out the ramp that the cars drive in, obviously to
- 1:32:19Speaker 3: the side so the cars can still drive in. And
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: we're pushing stroller. And as I'm pushing stroller, this car
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: behind us is riding us. Did not have to ride
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: us at all, could have swerved around. And she pulls
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: up next to Jill and I and Scarlet and just goes,
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: that's not exit, that's not exit. That's not an exit,
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: like screaming it but with window up, which was weird. Yeah,
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: and literally in my brain, I was like, I'm not
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: afraid of you. I've seen so much worse. You should
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: have seen the diaper eye change this morning. Yeah, not
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: worry about it.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: The darkness that fills your soul when it's something like
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: that happens because you're not expecting it. The parent is
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: already going through a lot on it because they want
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: the kid to calm him down too, and they already
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: feel bad that the kid. You know, It's like they
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: want the kid to be quiet too. We're doing our
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: best to quiet them down. But to hear somebody and
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: it's like, buddy, you get up in your peacock a
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: little bit, like my man, I will be on you
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: like a pit bull on a squeaky toy quick. Not
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: like I did one of those like say I'm sitting
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: in the say I'm sitting in my.
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: Chair, okay, And I pulled up out here way when
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: when I was like, what are you?
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: Kind of like get up like this and I'm just
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: kind of like gazing around a little bit. I wish
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: I could have just made eye contact with him, you
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: know what I mean, just like look him dead in
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: his eyes.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: See that dart. He would have darted quick. Can I
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: ask you a moral conundrum? Can you hit the kid
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: with a Bennie as you're getting on the plane, a
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: little Benadryl?
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: Possibly?
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: We used to do that with dogs when we were
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: growing up, like traveling.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: It's a great question for the comments for the parents
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: out there.
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. That's what came
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: to my mind. I was like, oh, big flight, like
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: tranquilize them, trank them, which is like, I know people
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: are gonna be.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: Like, yo, what's the pill call that people will take
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: to go to sleep?
- 1:34:20Speaker 3: Oh? Unism or motrin?
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: No, not amby amby?
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: Oh Ambient's Like.
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: You're like, hey, this might be a good question. Can
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: I drop some mini and would you know, like ben
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: and drop or could you maybe crush the uh what's
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: it called you?
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: What about ambient?
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: Yeah? Could you crush them ambient and put in their milk?
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: They're just up sleepwalking on the plane.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: Like, I don't know if you should do ambien. I
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: don't want to make you feel bad about this question.
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: You just wake up in the middle of the flight.
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: Like with the international ones, they turn off all the lights.
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: You just see rude, just like the girl from What
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: Is It Ring? Yes, she's at the end of the aisle.
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: Just honey, honey, get back here.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: I don't don't touch, don't toutch.
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: She's on twenty five mill. You don't want to touch it,
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: trust me. Oh dude, could you give.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: Her up like a gummy with like five grams THC
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: in there?
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: She needs an upper Now we gotta y'all got some
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: kool aid?
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: Like, is there any research on taking an indica like
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: a gummy? Give him a gummy or something?
- 1:35:41Speaker 4: Or is it the boy?
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: Which one is?
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: What's kinda like, you know, kinda wake her up, but
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: keep her chilly.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: Sweet, don't tell you mother, Do not do this. This
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: is not an expert. This is this is we're having
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: fun right now.
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: We're having fun.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: We're having fun.
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: We would not do that, but maybe banjoin moving on.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: Hey, what's up? Boys? My name is Andrew calling in Papa,
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: Team one Papa. The numbers in the call sign can
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: mean different roles on the team, so I'll assume the
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: number one Papa, Team one calling in, father of two,
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: two boys, little frat house at home. Got a question
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: for you? My son is very into monster jam trucks.
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: He particularly likes Megladon, which is pretty badass. But if
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: you had to choose a monster jam truck, which one
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: would you be? All Right, boys, appreciate the podcast, keep
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: doing the board's work.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, Sherman, I don't know. If you're
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: a monster truck guy, This one's out of my wheelhouse.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: Megala Don, that sounds like a badass truck. I want
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: to say, back in the day when I was a
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: young buck running around, Bigfoot I believe was a monster
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: truck and grave digger. Gravedigger.
- 1:37:03Speaker 3: Yes, that would be my personal favor. Megalodon if chef.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: If sounds like the one. Look at that bad boy, Yeah, Megaladon.
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: You know his boys are just losing it at the
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: TV screen to Megalodon.
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: Bigfoot, monster d turn it up? Turn it up?
- 1:37:26Speaker 3: Oh dude, what I would pay to go to a
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: monster truck rally?
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: We should go next time they're in Nashville.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: Bigfoot is a monster truck widely considered the first of
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: its kind.
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: Oh what else is it saying about it?
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: Pretty? You know, you're pretty standard looking monster truck.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it ain't no, Megalodon mm and then
- 1:37:48Speaker 3: what was the other one? Grave Digger, Grave Digger Monster truckle.
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: Grave Digger is the goat. That's the goat and it's
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: like a purple and green right.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: Yeah, oh that's a cool one.
- 1:37:57Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah dude, Grave Diggers. What's up? I didn't
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: do any monster truck driving except for the Nintendo sixty
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: four game. Uh where you have like the machine guns
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: and everything on your you would like fight other cars. Yeah,
- 1:38:13Speaker 3: I forget the name of that game.
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: So sick. They do backflips, have you? Like those Monster
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: truck jam shows. They come, they tour, so they'll be
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: in Nashville like once a year, and these things come
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: out and they do these jumps. They are like they
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: do these fifty foot clearing jumps and they do backflips
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: and all these cool tricks and stuff. Damn, And it
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: actually looks fine. Never been, but I've had buddies that
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: have gone.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: Yea, we don't get the that's cool. Ooh, that's cool
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: going to a monster truck show. We're going to like
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: the nutcracker and shit ballet. Fuck, this seems cooler.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: What if that was what was that? What if that
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: was the ftd meetup a.
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: Monster truck rally. Hey, sweethear, we got this popping team six,
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: We got this beat the six meet up you dad,
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: A bunch of the boys.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: Just tailgate a monster round.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: Put these head bones on the massive headlones.
- 1:39:06Speaker 3: Rue, Look, look, it's Megalandon.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: You're gonna love it.
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: Rue probably would love it, though. I feel like, especially if.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: There's an Elson monster truck out there, we get a
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: frozen maybe Tafeiti.
- 1:39:18Speaker 3: Well just just tell her that the megalodon is what's
- 1:39:21Speaker 3: his name that changes into all the animals.
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: He could change it to Maui. Just be like, honey,
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: that's Maui. He's changing to a Megalandon. What can isay?
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: You welcome? Look at that? Oh my god, that's funny.
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: I do love that, though, Hey, what was his name?
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: He does? Mawi does change into a shark in the movie.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm talking about, jp J.
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: What were you gonna say something he's gonna say to
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: like on that call? Will do you ever with two daughters?
- 1:39:57Speaker 4: Do you ever hear stories from your buddies like Nick
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: who has a boy and stuff and they could do
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: stuff that's like very boyish and is there a party
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: that's like that'd be sick and I don't I know
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: that you have a great time with your daughters and stuff.
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: Yeah, a word of me wanting a boy, which is okay. Look,
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: I'm William RL Compton the third would love to have
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: a fourth.
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: It's part four coming. I don't know, man, part four coming,
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: We're open to it.
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: I want it for y'all. I want it for it.
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: Taylor's kind of, you know, jokingly or not, He's made
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: comments about wanting a boy.
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's it's a risk. Boys.
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: I'm I'm at a place where if I have two daughters,
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna be very happy with two daughters
- 1:40:52Speaker 3: two girls.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: Before listen, when I was on Seeman Team six and
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: See Team six and I was entering in Bud's training,
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: the thought was, I can just get a boy. I'm
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: good with two boy. I'm good with two girls and
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: a boy, but I gotta have a boy. However, if
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: I pop off two girls off the rip, I might
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: have to retire because you risk. Remember my rant last
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: week about getting surrounded by the estrogen.
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: Then you're outnumbered, their.
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: Period sync up and then you just become neutered as
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: a male, and I think if you risk the third girl,
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: I think it's inevitable at that point. I think, at
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: that point, it's like, we'll have to do this podcast
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: forever because this might be the only space that I
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: can talk or feel safe.
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: That you can grow out.
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41:42Speaker 3: I already got my first staste of it today because
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: I posted that College Football's back Sydney Sweeney video.
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's such a good one.
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: Did you see Jill's comment on it? No, she said
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: not this year. Me and Scarlett got the controller. You're outnumbered, buddy.
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: That's what I'm sa saying. That's when you gotta go
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: home and you gotta maybe get physical.
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: And that's when you say good because you have YouTube
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: themes to you.
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: When I'm trying to be funny, I crack a joke
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: on the internet, the last thing I need is you
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: come in telling me I'm out numbered, sweet or you
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: don't have the gods she does have the cards.
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: And then somebody's commenting, oh sureman, is that your wife's
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: robe and you come in underneath it a thousand percent
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: last thing I need, last thing I need.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: Yeah, buddy, it's it's one of those things. Man. Again,
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: we are open to it. We're dabbling back into any idea.
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: Number three, none of us are. No, it's just it's
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: extremely risky for your boy.
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: I would love to have a guest that is a
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: boy dad because I feel like it's obviously but it's
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: a total different mindset. Like I feel like I've had
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: to get into the mindset of girl dad. I feel
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: like boy dad's a totally different mindset. Just seeing like
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: Jeremy in the office with his boys. Yeah, and how
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: much JJ just like reminds me of Jeremy, Like he
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: laughs exactly like him, he talks exactly like him. It
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: is truly Monkey Sea Monkey Do. And I feel like
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: it puts the pressure on those boy dads that much
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: more of like I can't be acting up because this
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: kid's just gonna do exactly what I'm doing.
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: Yeah. So to answer your question, Cheff, Yeah, I mean
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: what I love for Rue to be the first Mike
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: linebacker in Nebraska as a female, first Mike linebacker hit
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: meeting him in the A gap. Is it cool that
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: other dads with their sons, like Nick his boys playing
- 1:43:50Speaker 1: t ball? Like that's sick? Ru could play t ball?
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: You know what I mean. Yeah, you gotta find your
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: wins and be optimistic. Where you can be optimistic, there's
- 1:43:57Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of fun things that I get
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: to be with Rue, But for it to be the
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: heir to the throne.
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: I feel like I kind of set you up on
- 1:44:06Speaker 4: that one a little bit.
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: It's okay, it's okay.
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: That's what this show is all about.
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's yeah, it's a safe space.
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: It's a safe space, dude. And there are a lot
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: for the girl dads out there that might be asking
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: themselves the same question. There are so many sports there
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: are unisex. It's crazy when I was really thinking about it,
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: looking into it, that you can play with your daughter, Like.
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: I want to get into flag football, dude.
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: Flag football, women's flag football is sick, dude, it's sick.
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: She might have the feet.
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: It's an Olympic sport. I know Ruth's coming up, Dada,
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: look at my gold medal.
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: Yeah. I do think she's gonna be uh. I think
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: she's going to be an athlete, not like not like
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: I'm saying like she's gonna be a great athlete. I'm
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: saying I think she is into sports. I think she'll
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: be into sports.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: Do you know how many times she said watch this,
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: chm oh, watch this, and then we'd just jump off furniture.
- 1:45:05Speaker 3: She's got it in her.
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: She was hitting the spins this morning and she had
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: to make sure everybody was watching that. That watched me, Mama,
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: you watch me? A gie watched me. Is Scotty watching me? Sweetheart?
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: Everybody's watching you. Waffle, Waffle, come in here, waffle. Everybody
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: watching hit your spin?
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: Hey, and this is not a challenge, this is just thin.
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: Would be good prep for reu. It sounds like she's
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: ready for a home crowd. She likes eyes on her,
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: she likes the cheers.
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: She's a performer. Yeah, is she.
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: Ready for the away crowd? I think you throw on
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: some obamba, you flood some crowd noise in there, and
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: then have her hit her spin. See how she does
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: Yeah against that wide out pin state away crowd.
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: Sort of put this EyeBlack on. The environment's gonna change
- 1:45:52Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: Please do a video for her to Mobama doing her
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: ballet spins.
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: Dude, Okay, I'll get that.
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: You gotta hit it.
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: I got hose calling just lyrics.
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: Sweet.
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: She doesn't know what that means.
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: Of topic, quote or lesson of the week. I have
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: a very short one that I can throw out there
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: if yours is longer, whatever.
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: I don't have a longer one. Mine was going to
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: be if you don't do the small things, well, they'll
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: never trust you to do the big things. Remember that,
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: and everything you do matters, act accordingly. And then another one,
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: that one on Instagram I got again say he'll bloom.
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: Shut out the boys say he'll bloom. This one is
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: from We Underscore Nurture. Everything you do for your childhood,
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: Everything you do for your child at bedtime, like that
- 1:46:55Speaker 1: second or third tuck in, the stories you read, the
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: times you fall asleep next to them, to them, the exhaustion.
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: It matters more than you can imagine, because one day
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: they will go to bed on their own. They'll shut
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: the door and turn off the lights themselves, and you
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: will be the one standing in the hallway like me,
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: remembering the nights you were needed so deeply.
- 1:47:16Speaker 3: Who was that from?
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: That was from the Instagram account We Underscore Nurture. That's sick.
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: That's a great one. Even when I got into those
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: last two lines, it wasn't it wasn't close, but I
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: felt the change of emotion that was happening. That kind
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: of makes you want to tear up because that is
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: that's a great reminder. One thing I did too that
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: I was going to show is like a dad hack,
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: let me see here voice memos. Why doesn't voice memos
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: pop up when I type it in on the search?
- 1:47:49Speaker 3: Is this your own voice memo?
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: This is my own voice memo that I did that
- 1:47:52Speaker 1: I would recommend to the parents out there.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: Let's hear you utility, You're so excited to hear a
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: voice memo will from the past.
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: It ain't of me, it was I was sitting there.
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: This was back when we went on a daddy daughter date,
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: myself and my and my boy. We took our daughters.
- 1:48:11Speaker 1: It was for Ru's birthday, for Ru's third birthday, we
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: took them to a prets game, and then that night
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: I put her to bed and we were talking about
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: the night recap and everything else. But we have our
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: little good night routine, and I recorded it because I'm
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: thinking to myself, I want to do it more. But
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: it's like recording their little voice that I'm going to
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: have for the rest of time. And so a dad
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: hack is record your little one, bet whatever it is,
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: having a conversation with them, but hopefully you can hear it.
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: I'll come over there.
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: All right, it's been a minute. We go to sleep, Okay,
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: baby Jesus, it's a good sleep.
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: Okay. That good dank. I love you for. I love
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: you for.
- 1:49:22Speaker 9: It never ends.
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: Good name.
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: M bye.
- 1:49:37Speaker 3: H that's what's up, dude? Are you kidding me?
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: Bro? Just hearing that. I haven't listened to it in
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: a while, but that's unreal. That's awesome. That's awesome, dude.
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: That's a good dad act.
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: That's a great hack. And I've already experienced what the
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: wellness people, the nurture of I was coming off my
- 1:50:10Speaker 3: night shift and I went in to go wake up
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: Jill like around five am for her shift to start,
- 1:50:17Speaker 3: and Jill pulled up the Nuna app or whatever we
- 1:50:21Speaker 3: have nanit and I heard Scarlet crying and I was like, no, no,
- 1:50:29Speaker 3: that ain't right, Like I'm not finishing my shift like that,
- 1:50:33Speaker 3: Like I didn't do something right on tuckans, I gotta
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: go fix that, and just going back in there the
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: second time to like do it right. And I ended
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: up saying in there for like an extra thirty minutes
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: just seeing an Adelvie Stewart and god, I loved it.
- 1:50:50Speaker 3: I was like, I'm so glad I went back. I
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: could have just totally. Jill was already getting up, you know, yeah,
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: she's got it. I cannot wait for her to be
- 1:51:03Speaker 3: able to talk. Dude, I'm gonna be dead meat and
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: look at those eyes, chef. Yes, dude, Oh stop, I'm
- 1:51:15Speaker 3: gonna be.
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: I'm fired up that I have that.
- 1:51:19Speaker 4: Yes, dude.
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: I can just hear in her voice she already she
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: sounds younger, you know what I mean? She did Like
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: that was five months ago, four or five months ago.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: Record record your little one. Dude, I is that your
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: lesson is going back?
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: No, no, okay, But I was just saying.
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: That's great. I mean that's great too.
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: To that quote, it's like you're gonna miss those like
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: times where they needed you or whatever. And I was like,
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: in that time, I did have like a selfish mind
- 1:51:54Speaker 3: frame of I'm tired as fuck and it's technically I'm
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: off the clock. It's mom's time. But I was like,
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: you know, I'd like I want to go do that right,
- 1:52:02Speaker 3: Like I didn't do something right with tuck Ins because
- 1:52:04Speaker 3: she's flussing, like let's set mom up for success. Let's
- 1:52:07Speaker 3: go set scarlet up for success. It was totally worth
- 1:52:11Speaker 3: it. It was totally worth it. So yeah, drop us your lesson,
- 1:52:16Speaker 3: uh my lesson very quickly.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: Is it a quote? Something you came across.
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: A topic, A topic, because a topic. We have talked
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: about this openly quite often. Therapy. I started doing therapy
- 1:52:33Speaker 3: in twenty seventeen. For myself. It was kind of like
- 1:52:37Speaker 3: a life coach, a therapist that helps you with figuring
- 1:52:41Speaker 3: out your professional life. If you're like, oh, what do
- 1:52:45Speaker 3: I do after college? But I also have like other
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: things emotionally to work through. Was very nervous and kind
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: of like scared to get into it. And dude, I
- 1:52:59Speaker 3: have been a fitted so much off of therapy. It's crazy.
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: With that therapist back in Texas, saw him for like
- 1:53:08Speaker 3: almost five years on and off, but just started seeing
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: a therapist here in Nashville because it was something that
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: I really wanted to get back into, almost like an
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: accountability buddy of just somebody to talk to. I know
- 1:53:25Speaker 3: therapy is not for everyone. This is not me pushing
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: it on anybody, but just like having that person that
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: you're able to like talk through your frustrations, but also
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: like game planning for I know that my stresses and
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: my worries and anxieties and responsibilities are only going to grow,
- 1:53:46Speaker 3: and just trying to set myself up for success for
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: life of really just like whatever it throws at me.
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: And I had my first therapy session with this new
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: therapist earlier this week. It was phenomenal, dude, it was
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: just phenomenal, Like walked out of it already with like
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: two little nuggets of man, I got to go home
- 1:54:10Speaker 3: and go make We talked about doing like our four
- 1:54:13Speaker 3: pillars of like social, work, family, and sureman of like
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: how are we gonna pour into all those and make
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: sure that nobody in your life is feeling like they're
- 1:54:27Speaker 3: not getting enough that it's a healthy balance of wife's happy,
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: family's happy, works happy, you're happy. How do we achieve that?
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: Which I don't know, short little like lesson, but it's
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: just something that's very important to me. I've had a
- 1:54:44Speaker 3: lot of growth from that and face down some stuff
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: that I didn't even know I really had issues with
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: or needed to talk about with the therapy that I
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: did back in Texas.
- 1:54:55Speaker 1: So it was awesome. That's incredible. I love that I
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: You know, I I enjoy therapy as well. Charing and
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: I we did a couple's therapy for a long time.
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: We haven't been, we haven't been in a couple of months,
- 1:55:09Speaker 1: but we did it before we got married, we did
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: it after we were married, and I've just always found
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: a lot of good benefit from it. Have you yet
- 1:55:17Speaker 1: to do like a one on one, which I would
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: love to do, But I've always enjoyed therapy. And again,
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: I know you say it's not for everybody. It's not
- 1:55:23Speaker 1: like I'm sitting here pushing it, but it's something that
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: if people were curious about it, it's something I would
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: recommend because it helps you just get out of your
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: own way talk through you know, you do the whole
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: feelings thing, and I get the feelings that can be repetitive.
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: But at times when you hear yourself talk or they
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: throw a question at you and your guard's down, you're
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: not sitting you know, if you're arguing with your wife
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: or you're arguing with somebody and you're trying to talk
- 1:55:46Speaker 1: through something, that guard that would be up. When you're
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: talking through something with somebody, you might be having a
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: healthy debate or a bad debate or an argument, it's
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: like there's a guard there that is up. And when
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: you're sitting there with with somebody else therapist, a third
- 1:56:00Speaker 1: party that has zero buy in on your life other
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: than their own expertise on the whole thing or their
- 1:56:07Speaker 1: own just sitting there listening and giving you different ways
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: to think about things. Yeah, it helps you get out
- 1:56:11Speaker 1: of your own way and see things what you're upset
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: about or what you were going through for what they are,
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: or maybe you need to be pouring more like grieving
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: or emotional stuff into or give that some space or
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: give that some time. But it's like there's a quote,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: it's hard to read the directions when you're inside the box.
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: And I feel like sitting with the therapist gives you
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: that third party that zoomed out perspective. And again if
- 1:56:34Speaker 1: it's with your spouse, like having more experience with the
- 1:56:36Speaker 1: couple's therapy, you're able to talk about things that you
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: wouldn't necessarily you wouldn't be equipped to at first, or
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: we weren't equipped to at first, of understanding the whys
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: behind we were butting heads on certain things.
- 1:56:49Speaker 3: Yes, dude, and my therapist back in Texas was he
- 1:56:54Speaker 3: was like in his early sixties, probably late that these
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: when I first started seeing them, and it truly felt
- 1:56:59Speaker 3: like a I ask third party Dad, that's really just
- 1:57:02Speaker 3: there to help you to be able to solve your
- 1:57:06Speaker 3: own problems.
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes, they're not sitting there giving you answers. No,
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: they're kind of like weirdly gaming you to talk through
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: what your issues are. Yes.
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: And it's funny when you eventually like, sorry, you told
- 1:57:22Speaker 3: me for the first time that you were like doing
- 1:57:24Speaker 3: couples therapy. It is funny when you like do meet people,
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: talk to people, or they're like talking about frustrations or
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: have the problem solve and blah blah blah. You can
- 1:57:33Speaker 3: almost kind of pick up of like, Yo, Will's got
- 1:57:36Speaker 3: some game. Just hearing you talk about something at the
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: office that there was some kind of thing to like
- 1:57:43Speaker 3: maneuver through and I'm trying to do this with it,
- 1:57:46Speaker 3: You're like, oh, man, he's really like he's processing this
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: and he's thinking about how he's gonna go through the
- 1:57:53Speaker 3: situation or communicate this to somebody. Like you can almost
- 1:57:58Speaker 3: pick up on those like and that guy's probably doing
- 1:58:01Speaker 3: like some kind of you know, reading books or therapy
- 1:58:04Speaker 3: or whatever. So I think it's just like a it's
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: a great thing to have in your arsenal.
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely. I love to appreciate you for sharing cool Dode.
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: Thank you for letting me share.
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: I know you had mentioned when we were on the
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: video game it's just so funny.
- 1:58:18Speaker 9: Which is also Yeah, when we were on the headset,
- 1:58:23Speaker 9: when we were on the game together dropping dropping on
- 1:58:26Speaker 9: the Mainland, you mentioned that You're like, hey, I found somebody.
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: I found a therapist. Yeah. Yeah, hype for you because
- 1:58:33Speaker 1: I I personally enjoy it. I would love to explore
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: like a one on one type of situation because I
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: think it is healthy to have, especially if you got
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: a lot of different shit going on. You're sitting there
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: all it seems like you care about that. I don't
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: care about that too much. It's like old body language,
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: what you're saying or lack of saying. Yeah, let's dive into.
- 1:58:57Speaker 3: That the way that you wanted to jump off of
- 1:58:59Speaker 3: that really quick. Yeah, lets me know. Maybe you do
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: care a lot about it.
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: Or they like they hit you with something, You're like,
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: I don't know, and it's as simply as pretend that
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: you do know. To again, put words behind the ied
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: on that's great challenge you to. Let's say you didn't know,
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: what do you think it would be? Let's say, yeah, yeah,
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: I'm unsure on how to say it. Let's pretend like
- 1:59:25Speaker 1: you did know how to say it.
- 1:59:27Speaker 3: How would you say about that?
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah. And a lot of it too, Like I'll
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: be sitting there, you might be trying to solve some problem.
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: I'm like, what, like, what would you what's the answer here?
- 1:59:39Speaker 1: And a lot of the times it's like the metaphor
- 1:59:41Speaker 1: I try using is like you have answer written on
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: a piece of paper and you're wanting to circle the answer,
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: but there's no circling. It's like, no, there's an answer there,
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: but it's up to you to figure out what that is. Like,
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: they're not there to give you what that answer is.
- 1:59:57Speaker 1: They could talk about different angles. Yeah, so what should
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: we do? Like, okay, I'll give you a couple of
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: angles on how to maybe go about it. But you're
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: trying to problem solve way too much. Put the pin down.
- 2:00:10Speaker 1: We're not here to problem solve.
- 2:00:12Speaker 3: I just just the other day called a really close
- 2:00:15Speaker 3: friend back in Texas, And not that I don't have
- 2:00:18Speaker 3: really close friends here, but like a lot of my
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: close friends. They're back in Texas and I need some
- 2:00:23Speaker 3: advice for a situation, and just talking on the phone
- 2:00:26Speaker 3: with them for forty five minutes while I was walking
- 2:00:28Speaker 3: the dogs and coming to the realization of I made
- 2:00:32Speaker 3: too big of a deal out of this and I
- 2:00:34Speaker 3: don't really need to do anything in this situation. I
- 2:00:36Speaker 3: just needed to talk to somebody about yeah, yeah, And
- 2:00:39Speaker 3: now it's done, I'm not worried about it anymore. I
- 2:00:43Speaker 3: love that. I love that. Also, Bro, my seven kill game.
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: I wish pop a Team six could have witnessed this
- 2:00:53Speaker 1: seven kill game that you have.
- 2:00:56Speaker 3: Sure you're good over there? What the fuck's going on
- 2:00:58Speaker 3: over buddy?
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: I was a witness. I was a witness watching you
- 2:01:02Speaker 1: mow these cats down, and that chef. I'm telling you
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: right now, I was in awe even when it's happened,
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: and I started just firing the gun to pretend I
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: was involved in turns out here recking these dudes on PUBG.
- 2:01:16Speaker 1: For people that don't know what pub G is. You
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: might like on a good game and you get a
- 2:01:19Speaker 1: chicken dinner, maybe that two to four kill range for
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: your squad, Sure is mowing these dudes down, mowing them.
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: The amount of heat that was coming off of my body.
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: After that game, Will said, do you even remember what happened?
- 2:01:33Speaker 3: And I started laughing.
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: I swear he blacked out like it was just him
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: versus the Taliban. Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, I ain't shitting.
- 2:01:44Speaker 3: You, and Will just on comms. Sure sure where on
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: this shirt?
- 2:01:49Speaker 4: Hey?
- 2:01:49Speaker 3: Sure, Trim. I'm not saying a word.
- 2:01:52Speaker 1: No, you wouldn't say nothing. What are you saying that?
- 2:01:57Speaker 3: I think I think I just got like gun, he's down, Yeah,
- 2:02:01Speaker 3: he's down, another one down?
- 2:02:03Speaker 4: Clear?
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: Clear, good.
