- 0:01Speaker 1: I'm watching all these news stories, Mike, Indiana, West Virginia, Ohio,
- 0:06Speaker 1: the flooding, and I know that, you know, God doesn't
- 0:08Speaker 1: even things up in this way. Could we borrow ten
- 0:10Speaker 1: percent of that and take the flood staying away from
- 0:13Speaker 1: them and maybe you know, hit my yard or something.
- 0:16Speaker 1: We're looking at a month of no measurable rainfall.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's crazy here. Yeah, it's hot everywhere. It's been hot
- 0:21Speaker 2: in Florida even late high nineties here this week ninety five,
- 0:25Speaker 2: ninety eight. But we're getting a lot of rain, a
- 0:27Speaker 2: lot of a lot of thunderstorms and some some afternoon showers.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Kind of typical Florida weather. But yeah, it's it is
- 0:34Speaker 2: hot all over the country. It's hot Primary day here
- 0:38Speaker 2: in Florida, Alaska. We got Shenanigans going on. You got
- 0:42Speaker 2: Dan Sullivan versus Dan Sullivan. You know, you got some
- 0:46Speaker 2: of these races. You got a socialist here in Florida.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Gonna be a test there for one of the socialists.
- 0:52Speaker 2: You see how they wind up doing. And then of
- 0:54Speaker 2: course I got to grapple with you teeing it up
- 0:58Speaker 2: for me because I heard your tea's going into this
- 1:00Speaker 2: segment about the Keith self mosque ban. Ye, we just
- 1:06Speaker 2: don't want to win the midterms, do we We just
- 1:08Speaker 2: don't want to win. We just don't want to wa
- 1:10Speaker 2: We want to tell independence and moderates and people democrats
- 1:13Speaker 2: who we could win over. Yeah, we're gonna We're gonna
- 1:16Speaker 2: go all in here. We're gonna go big or go
- 1:19Speaker 2: home a mosque ban. I mean, are you kidding me? Mark? Seriously?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Would this be an example of one of those things
- 1:28Speaker 1: that is a conservative passion that we can talk about
- 1:34Speaker 1: it's merits or lack of in a minute. I think
- 1:36Speaker 1: you might feel a little differently about it than I do.
- 1:38Speaker 1: There are certain things that we can have on our agenda,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and it's a bold and on this and ten other things,
- 1:44Speaker 1: but there's some of them that if we float them now,
- 1:48Speaker 1: we might get fist pumping joy out of it for
- 1:50Speaker 1: ten minutes, but ultimately it might not be helpful in November.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Is that kind of where you're going?
- 1:55Speaker 2: One hundred percent? I mean one hundred percent. I mean,
- 1:58Speaker 2: I've got I've got big concerns about sharia law, I've
- 2:02Speaker 2: got huge concerns about the direction of the country under Democrats.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But I just don't think we have to have any
- 2:08Speaker 2: self inflicted wounds right now, let them, let them implode.
- 2:12Speaker 2: My goodness. They raised money. They're raising money on the
- 2:16Speaker 2: left for a woman who absolutely flat out admits she
- 2:20Speaker 2: strangled all three of her children, one by one. They've
- 2:23Speaker 2: raised almost a million dollars for her by her fans.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It's like Carmelo Anthony, he murdered that kid, six hundred
- 2:30Speaker 2: and thirty thousand dollars or more raised by his fans.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Luigi Manngione fast fans, and these eight Republicans, Mark, this
- 2:39Speaker 2: is this is the party of political the the unspeakable
- 2:43Speaker 2: evil over twenty five that. I don't know if you
- 2:45Speaker 2: follow this Lindsey Clancy story. Yes, she's of course claiming
- 2:50Speaker 2: postpartum depression. She's a monster, She's a she's a demon.
- 2:54Speaker 2: She three three children with her bare hands, one by one,
- 2:59Speaker 2: and over twenty five thousand fans of hers have now
- 3:04Speaker 2: raised now it's over eight hundred and thirty five thousand dollars.
- 3:08Speaker 2: The go fundme account has been flooded with positive messages
- 3:11Speaker 2: from her female supporters who are convinced that she's somehow
- 3:15Speaker 2: the victim. Here and Matt Walsh had a really good
- 3:18Speaker 2: take on this. Mark. Matt road.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I was going to go there, go go for it.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Go yep, And I get it. It's the whole debate
- 3:24Speaker 2: about postpartum depression, because that's the defense. And but this
- 3:29Speaker 2: is a story that's even more complicated than that. Some
- 3:31Speaker 2: people are accused it. I think her ex husband of
- 3:34Speaker 2: having done it. But here's what Matt Walsh writes, unspeakably evil.
- 3:38Speaker 2: This whole thing has been eye opening in the worst way.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I'll never be able to unsee thousands of women rallying
- 3:46Speaker 2: to the defense of a demon who strangled her children
- 3:49Speaker 2: to death. One of the darkest things I've ever seen
- 3:52Speaker 2: in my life. He says, between this and the Carmelo
- 3:55Speaker 2: Anthony fundraiser, we're getting a glimpse into the kind of
- 4:00Speaker 2: cultural rot that cannot be easily waved away. Is any right,
- 4:05Speaker 2: Mark he is?
- 4:07Speaker 1: It is another Matt Walsh post that I thought you
- 4:10Speaker 1: were headed toward, because he sparked a reaction that may
- 4:15Speaker 1: actually lead some of the ladies not to root for
- 4:20Speaker 1: or become fans of this murdering mom, but to lean
- 4:24Speaker 1: toward her side in a certain way. The Matt Walsh
- 4:26Speaker 1: point on that, and this sounds very Matt Walshe and
- 4:30Speaker 1: I think there's a point could be made, and that
- 4:33Speaker 1: is that show me one hundred women with postpartum depression,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and some of them is His point is some of
- 4:40Speaker 1: them may have something clinical, something chemical, but most of them,
- 4:43Speaker 1: quite frankly, just can't handle motherhood. It's the first time
- 4:46Speaker 1: there's a life out there that means more than your own.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Maybe you weren't mature enough to have babies in the
- 4:50Speaker 1: first place. It's really hard, it's really demanding, and you're
- 4:52Speaker 1: just freaking out of What you really need to do
- 4:54Speaker 1: is just gut up, face life and do the job. Well,
- 4:58Speaker 1: that did not go over big a lot of women
- 5:00Speaker 1: who said postpartum is real, and of course it's real.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Of course it's real. He's it made him seem really
- 5:08Speaker 1: dismissive about postpartum in general, which had a lot of
- 5:11Speaker 1: the And again, it's a particularly twisted logic that takes
- 5:14Speaker 1: you from disagreeing with that to siding with the mom
- 5:18Speaker 1: in this case.
- 5:19Speaker 2: But that's just it. That's just it. That's just it.
- 5:23Speaker 2: The leap from disagreeing that postpartum depression doesn't exist. And
- 5:27Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know. I'm no psychologist. I
- 5:30Speaker 2: think it does. I mean I've heard enough stories from
- 5:32Speaker 2: women who go through a very difficult time and it
- 5:35Speaker 2: doesn't seem particularly compassionate on his part. But to take
- 5:38Speaker 2: that leap then and say, and that's why you strangle
- 5:41Speaker 2: your kids? You know, sorry, one of these things is
- 5:45Speaker 2: not like the other. And so it's we got we
- 5:47Speaker 2: got real evil here. Though this is a we talk
- 5:50Speaker 2: about this on a daily basis. You and I cover
- 5:52Speaker 2: it every single day. Evil is all around us, and
- 5:56Speaker 2: I and I just continue to pray for our country. Meanwhile,
- 5:59Speaker 2: President and Trump has weighed in on flock cameras. He
- 6:03Speaker 2: had a really good take on it. I thought, kind
- 6:05Speaker 2: of the way I feel. Did you hear what he said?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Tell me? He said it's being studied right now, these
- 6:10Speaker 2: flock cameras. He goes, you have pros and cons. He said,
- 6:14Speaker 2: there's pros to and he's right. I mean the trouble
- 6:19Speaker 2: with the pushback against the flock cameras. They are enormously
- 6:23Speaker 2: successful and effective in catching bad guys. They are enormously
- 6:27Speaker 2: as successful in finding seniors with Alzheimer's who might be
- 6:31Speaker 2: driving around and you can't find them, and you don't
- 6:33Speaker 2: and they can pinpoint their location. I keep airing on
- 6:37Speaker 2: the side of the belief that I have that you
- 6:41Speaker 2: have no expectation of privacy in a public place period,
- 6:46Speaker 2: end of sentence. Wild that's true.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And this is funny because the Trump quote that I
- 6:50Speaker 1: was focusing on is about data centers, another thing he's
- 6:52Speaker 1: weighed in on. He doesn't like the Texas the Greg
- 6:55Speaker 1: Abbott they love each other, but the pause on data centers.
- 6:58Speaker 1: More on that in a minute. Are both data centers
- 7:01Speaker 1: flock cameras are the talk show gods are smiling because
- 7:04Speaker 1: I think people of just about every political stripe can
- 7:07Speaker 1: feel either way about either issue. So the other side
- 7:11Speaker 1: of flock cameras. And I'm really having an internal as
- 7:14Speaker 1: well as external dialogue about this because of course you're right,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and I'm pro law enforcement anything it makes it easier
- 7:19Speaker 1: to find Grandma or find that you know a kidnapper
- 7:23Speaker 1: with a kid in the backseat. Right, And you're totally right.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Your sentence is golden that you have no expectation of
- 7:30Speaker 1: privacy out there on the streets. The flock camera is
- 7:33Speaker 1: not in your house. But the parallel I make is,
- 7:38Speaker 1: what if there's a cop assigned to follow you around
- 7:41Speaker 1: all day wherever you go? Yep, that you wouldn't like that.
- 7:45Speaker 1: But hey, Mike's out in the world. He's out in
- 7:48Speaker 1: the wild. The cops not in his house, but that
- 7:51Speaker 1: cop is following you wherever you go out in the
- 7:54Speaker 1: outside world, and so there's no expectation of the purest
- 7:58Speaker 1: of privacy. But I think most people they have a
- 8:02Speaker 1: heavy mistrust of this technology, and I know they would
- 8:06Speaker 1: have to fall into some bad hands for really bad
- 8:08Speaker 1: things to happen. But always expect the worst of government
- 8:11Speaker 1: is something that sometimes makes sense.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You're citing the potential for abuse, which exists in every
- 8:19Speaker 2: single aspect of our lives. What about a police officer
- 8:22Speaker 2: that accesses your credit card data or your private information,
- 8:26Speaker 2: or takes your driver's license and then uses that to
- 8:30Speaker 2: stalk a girlfriend. I mean, there have been examples already.
- 8:33Speaker 2: In one instance, a Florida police officer was accused of
- 8:36Speaker 2: allegedly stalking his estranged wife using flock cameras. That's abuse potential.
- 8:43Speaker 2: That doesn't mean you throw the baby out with the bathwater.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You gotta deal with the abuse. You got to deal
- 8:48Speaker 2: with the abusers. But to throw the whole technology out
- 8:51Speaker 2: this strikes me as just fear mongering. People are saying, well,
- 8:54Speaker 2: what about what about what if there's a rogue police
- 8:57Speaker 2: officer who can use this technology. Look, I've seen an
- 9:00Speaker 2: of these videos. There's a whole genre of people. There's
- 9:03Speaker 2: these guys that have made a living out of showing up.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I think I've told you about this. They stand outside
- 9:08Speaker 2: like the post office with big elaborate camera gear and
- 9:13Speaker 2: they film people. They shoot people going in and out
- 9:15Speaker 2: of the post office. And what they're trying to do
- 9:18Speaker 2: is is evoke. They want to provoke those people, and
- 9:21Speaker 2: then they captured on tape and then they posted on
- 9:24Speaker 2: social media. So in other words, somebody's walking in, why
- 9:27Speaker 2: are you taping me? Well, because I am, well, I
- 9:30Speaker 2: don't want to be taped. Oh yeah, well I can
- 9:33Speaker 2: tape you. It's my right. And they capture that encounter,
- 9:36Speaker 2: and then inevitably the police will show up because they're
- 9:38Speaker 2: gonna somebody gets mad and calls the cops, and the
- 9:40Speaker 2: cops side with the people with the camera, of course,
- 9:42Speaker 2: saying look, they're on a sidewalk. And those people, incidentally
- 9:46Speaker 2: with the camera, they know exactly what they're they're called,
- 9:49Speaker 2: I think of the one guy's called the auditor. They're
- 9:52Speaker 2: called auditors and they're there. They're supposedly First Amendment auditors,
- 9:56Speaker 2: and they're testing the boundaries of First Amendment, and they're
- 9:59Speaker 2: sticking can in people's faces basically who are going in
- 10:02Speaker 2: and out of the post office, daring them to give
- 10:04Speaker 2: them a response. But I've watched them some of these videos,
- 10:08Speaker 2: because you know how X goes. Once you see one,
- 10:10Speaker 2: then you're gonna see a hundred. The algorithm lights up
- 10:12Speaker 2: in there, you go to your dad, There goes the algorithm.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And then and then I'm up till three in the
- 10:16Speaker 2: morning fascinating in bed watching them. Between that and Broadway shows,
- 10:20Speaker 2: you're up right right. I can't try it. All I
- 10:23Speaker 2: do are police chases. They'll have police chase is a
- 10:26Speaker 2: thousand of those, and I can't turn those off. So
- 10:28Speaker 2: I'm up until the middle of the night. But what
- 10:30Speaker 2: I but I watch these guys. They know exactly what
- 10:32Speaker 2: they're doing, what they're allowed to do. Not only do
- 10:34Speaker 2: they take a video of a car's license plate. When
- 10:38Speaker 2: somebody gives them guff, they go right up and show
- 10:40Speaker 2: the ven number. They take the camera over the ven number.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And the legal argument is, you're in a public place,
- 10:47Speaker 2: you don't have any protection against somebody taking a picture
- 10:51Speaker 2: of your ven number on your car or your license
- 10:54Speaker 2: plate number, and it's it's a little bit scary. There,
- 10:57Speaker 2: there's wrong, but they're jerks. So they're a whole lot strong,
- 11:01Speaker 2: but they're total jerks. All they're doing is trying to
- 11:04Speaker 2: provoke her esp I speaking of President Trump, you mentioned
- 11:06Speaker 2: you know him weighing in on this. He's going to
- 11:09Speaker 2: go to South Carolina Friday to campaign for Darlene Graham Nordon.
- 11:13Speaker 2: And I'm telling you what, Mark, this is a crap
- 11:16Speaker 2: show of epic proportions. See what happened?
- 11:19Speaker 1: So it's so uncomfortable now, I mean, there are five
- 11:22Speaker 1: things that happen. Which one are you focused on? And
- 11:24Speaker 1: then we'll spend a moment on this because.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Well they they essentially the Graham campaign worked out a
- 11:29Speaker 2: deal with the South Carolina GOP that they don't like
- 11:32Speaker 2: Newsmax very much. Tonight's a big debate between Darlene and
- 11:35Speaker 2: Ralph Norman. He's the longtime veteran conservative congressman.
- 11:40Speaker 1: And proven conservative Trump ally.
- 11:42Speaker 2: You bet she she is, to quote my pal Mark Davis,
- 11:46Speaker 2: a nice lady whose brother died. And so the nice
- 11:49Speaker 2: lady whose brother died has now been endorsed by our president,
- 11:52Speaker 2: and everybody's like scratching their heads saying, wait a minute,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and I know why he did it. I've got a
- 11:56Speaker 2: warm spot in my heart for him. He loves It's
- 12:00Speaker 2: to be nice. We love Lindsay, I mean, and Trump
- 12:03Speaker 2: loved Lindsay as a dear friend, and he's trying to
- 12:06Speaker 2: honor Lindsey's memory. But I'm telling you, this woman is
- 12:09Speaker 2: very likely or possibly at least a Lisa Murkowski and
- 12:13Speaker 2: South Carolina's going to make a mistake here, I'm afraid.
- 12:16Speaker 2: But there goes Trump. He's flying into Myrtle Beach to
- 12:18Speaker 2: campaign for her. So any thought of him doing a
- 12:21Speaker 2: mutual endorsement or a duel endorsement, that was your theory.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I thought it sounded really smart because now that we're
- 12:26Speaker 1: in the home stretch, and obviously Alf Norman does have
- 12:29Speaker 1: a pro Trump track record, Darlene's just Lindsey's sister, which
- 12:32Speaker 1: has emotional value. He could easily say, look, I love Darlene,
- 12:36Speaker 1: but Ralph's been a long time ally. I'm going to
- 12:38Speaker 1: endorse them both. And I think, well, Darlene wouldn't be happy,
- 12:41Speaker 1: but I think most of Trump's supporters would Trump supporters
- 12:44Speaker 1: in South Carolina now have a weird moment where they
- 12:47Speaker 1: are probably in their heads and hearts and spines leaning
- 12:50Speaker 1: toward Ralph, but the President, who may hold in very
- 12:52Speaker 1: high regard to saying vote for Darlene. I still think
- 12:55Speaker 1: Ralph wins this thing. And the attitude in the South,
- 12:58Speaker 1: the attitude of the South Carolina voter is we love you,
- 13:01Speaker 1: mister President, but we got this and we're gonna do
- 13:03Speaker 1: you still predicting the Darlene win.
- 13:05Speaker 2: I'm not sure I do. I think, look, you can't.
- 13:09Speaker 2: You can't. It's gonna be hard to push back against
- 13:11Speaker 2: President Trump with an in person appearance in Myrtle Beach
- 13:15Speaker 2: Saturday Friday night. I don't know that the state loves Trump.
- 13:19Speaker 2: And there's a lot of people that aren't following this closely,
- 13:22Speaker 2: and they're probably figuring, oh well, Darlene's probably like lindsay,
- 13:25Speaker 2: it's gonna be okay and I'll pull the lever. I
- 13:27Speaker 2: don't know. I I that's gonna be a weird win.
- 13:29Speaker 2: We're gonna it's it's a pretty wild ride.
- 13:33Speaker 1: And in an actual debate tonight. So I'll bet there'll
- 13:35Speaker 1: be clips tomorrow that we can enjoy and a podcast
- 13:37Speaker 1: we can enjoy later today M and M Extra, where
- 13:40Speaker 1: we unpack things even further than we have now YouTube, Apple, Spotify,
- 13:44Speaker 1: M and M Extra.
- 13:46Speaker 2: So let's do
