- Shaun: Welcome back to the reset episode 52 with me, Sean Tucker. Why do we wait to the last minute to take action? Why is it that marketing has us literally on the edge of our seats thinking I should do that. I have to do that now. know, urgency. If I don't do it now, I'll miss out. And the other one is scarcity, right? So there's only a limited number left. And right now you can see this playing out. know, there's supply and demand of fuel in the world that's being challenged through what's happening over in the Middle East. And we saw it during the COVID lockdown times with toilet paper. When people get afraid, when people feel like they're missing out, they're motivated by fear. Right? It's the fear of missing out. It's the fear of not having enough. And the reason why we wait till the last second is because of that. It's a survival mechanism. If we miss out, we miss out forever. And it's a great motivation tactic to get stuff happening. But I guess what I want to lean into in this discussion today is does it have to take that long for you to actually take action? And if I reflect back to some of the parts of my journey where I've literally had the crisis, right, because it's usually during a crisis you can change quite quickly. And you change your routine, you change your habits, you change everything very quickly. But what about the other times? The other times where it's comfortable, where you don't have to change because change is hard, especially when things are going well, things are comfortable. And maybe you're in your business, maybe you're in your journey of providing and protecting for your family. And things have sort of hit like a plateau. You you're no longer really growing, you're kind of, you found your rhythm. There's not a lot of growth happening, but it's comfortable. You can keep going this way. I I wouldn't call it flow. I'd say it's actually probably more like stagnant or stale. And if you leave water for too long on its own without it flowing, what happens to it? It turns poisonous. It turns toxic. And I guess why that is really important for this discussion is if you've been on your journey and you feel like you're really not growing or... You feel like maybe you've hit a point where it's you've reached a point of comfort. You're happy with where you are, but slowly something inside of you is dying. Slowly something inside of you is becoming stagnant. It's becoming stale. It's yearning for something more. It's yearning for something deeper, something more profound. What is that desire? When you sit with it long enough, you understand what it is and what it's there for. maybe it's coming from a place of being not enough. Maybe it's coming from a place of comparing to what other people have. Human desire is not something you can forget. It's not something you can stop. It is something here for you to explore so that you can actually clean up that karmic imprint. That memory of wherever I've come before this, before this lifetime, before this human form. There's been a set of objectives. There's been a set of things to check off the list. And whatever that desire is, it equally wants you to fulfill it. And you actually have to allow it. You have to make space for it to happen. Because otherwise it will just continue to poison you. It's like that water that just goes stagnant and sits there for too long. You wouldn't consume water that's just been sitting there for months or years. the safest water to drink if it's the only water you have access to is a river that has flowing water. And there's no coincidence why that's the case. Water holds memory just like we do. and if it becomes a certain way it loses its... It loses its way, like we do. We get lost because we think maybe the thing we've been yearning for. is meant to be ridiculed, is meant to be judged. It's not safe for it to actually come out. We're not safe in ourselves to explore what it is. And that to me is. despair. That's probably the reason why a lot of people get depressed. because they have this big bold vision or desire that will become manifest at some point. If it's not this lifetime it will be another. But why that's important is if you don't allow it, it will crush you. Once you allow it, you can then get onto the greater purpose. But you have to first have the courage to let it happen. What it is? What is it? I don't know. But I promise you, if you sit with it long enough, in that discomfort, in that pain... It will find you and you will let it happen. You will let it go. not where I thought today's podcast episode will go but it's where we've gone. So if you have something that you have been wishing for your in your life and still it's yet to happen, still you're trying your best to either let it happen or to run away from it. Maybe it's the ladder, it's something that you're trying to run away from. Maybe that thing that you're trying to run away from is the thing that's actually gonna help you, is the thing that will liberate you. It will make you free again. It'll let you move on so that you can focus on bigger, bolder things. And you can actually let in those who want to help you. And maybe that's just it. So if you found value in today's episode, I want you to share it with just one person. And if not, tell me. I'd to know. I'd love to hear from the people who are listening and watching this. Thanks so much for tuning in. I look forward to seeing you in tomorrow's episode.
