- 0:07This is Finding God at Work.
- 0:14Just a reminder that Finding God at Work
- 0:16isn't just a podcast, it's also an online
- 0:18course.

- 0:27Our current series is A Mysterious Business, bringing
- 0:31ministry and marketplace wisdom together.
- 0:34I grew up in the Anglican tradition, which
- 0:38is a sacramental and liturgical tradition, so we
- 0:41have what's sometimes called smells and bells.
- 0:44On feast days we have incense, we ring
- 0:46bells on Easter Sunday morning, our priests often
- 0:50wear robes, we have prepared prayers, there's, you
- 0:55know, our bishop has a special hat that
- 0:57he wears.
- 0:58There's all these different visual, tactile symbols that
- 1:02have this rich history and tradition behind them,
- 1:04and some of them go back hundreds of
- 1:06years, and some of them go back almost
- 1:07to the age of the apostles, or even
- 1:10to Jewish synagogue life before Jesus came, and
- 1:13it's really fun, you can nerd out about
- 1:15all these things.
- 1:16But when I was a little kid, I
- 1:17didn't know any of that, I just went
- 1:19to church on Sunday, and it was just
- 1:20church, you know, it was the only version
- 1:22of church I knew.
- 1:23So when I was in about fourth grade,
- 1:26we went down to Texas for my cousin
- 1:28Rebecca's wedding, and we visited her Baptist church
- 1:31on the Sunday before her wedding, and the
- 1:34pastor was not wearing a robe!
- 1:36He was wearing like a three-piece suit,
- 1:39and I was so disturbed by this, I
- 1:41like said to my parents afterwards, that pastor
- 1:43should know better, he should know he's supposed
- 1:45to wear a robe on Sundays.
- 1:47Like I had internalized the sensibility, the liturgical
- 1:50sensibility that pastors wear robes such that I
- 1:53thought it was just totally inappropriate that that
- 1:54Baptist pastor would not wear a robe.
- 1:58Okay, now you've probably had an experience like
- 2:00this too, where you go to a church
- 2:02that's maybe different from your tradition, and they
- 2:05just do things differently, and you kind of
- 2:06ask like, why do they do that?
- 2:08And hopefully you maybe have a friend who's
- 2:10familiar with the tradition there, who can tell
- 2:12you why they do things a certain way,
- 2:13and that's encouraging, and maybe, you know, educational,
- 2:16you learn something about the body of Christ.
- 2:18The same thing can happen in other contexts
- 2:20too, like maybe in a business context.
- 2:23So you learn things one way in your
- 2:25first job out of school, then you change
- 2:27jobs, and it's like, oh, that wasn't like
- 2:29a universal thing, that was just a thing
- 2:31at this job, you know?
- 2:34Maybe at one job they don't really keep
- 2:36careful time sheets, it's just like, ah, estimate
- 2:38your hours, put it in at the end
- 2:39of the week, and at the other job
- 2:40it's like, no, like you're clocking it with
- 2:42an app on your smartphone in the moment,
- 2:44all the time, and you're tracking it, and
- 2:46you're assigning it to different projects, and that's
- 2:48important for how we bill our customers, and,
- 2:50you know, there's just differences everywhere.
- 2:53And some of the differences seem kind of
- 2:56superficial, like the way someone dresses, right?
- 2:59But other differences seem more substantial, like, oh,
- 3:03like, you know, does it matter?
- 3:05Are we being honest in the way that
- 3:07we track our time, is there an issue
- 3:09of ethics or of integrity here, right?
- 3:10And so it can be hard to tell,
- 3:12like, okay, what kind of difference are we
- 3:14dealing with here?
- 3:14Is there just a kind of a cultural
- 3:16difference that doesn't really matter, or is there
- 3:18more of like a substance difference that can
- 3:21be right or wrong, that could lead us
- 3:23closer to what God would really have for
- 3:25us, or further away from what God would
- 3:27really have for us?
- 3:29These are tough questions.
- 3:30And so I want to look at this
- 3:32idea of structures versus substance in the scriptures.
- 3:38Well, that alliterated more than I was intending
- 3:40it to, but yeah, so structures versus substance
- 3:43in the scriptures.
- 3:43And we got a little bit into this
- 3:45last time because Dallas Willard, I quoted him
- 3:48as saying that business is itself a structure
- 3:52in the kingdom of God.
- 3:53It's a structure of love in the kingdom
- 3:55of God.
- 3:56But then I didn't really dig into how
- 3:59the scriptures themselves teach about this idea of
- 4:01structure.
- 4:02And so you might've thought, oh, is that
- 4:04just like a philosophical thing?
- 4:06And no, like there's very clear scriptural teaching
- 4:08about the importance of structures, but it's always
- 4:11in contrast to this deeper thing, which is
- 4:14what I'm calling substance.
- 4:16So if you can kind of go with
- 4:18me here, this is a little bit wordy,
- 4:20but the basic idea that the scripture teaches,
- 4:23right, is that the structure matters.
- 4:26You have to prepare the structure in obedience
- 4:30so that it can be filled with the
- 4:34substance.
- 4:35Okay.
- 4:36You have to prepare the structure in obedience
- 4:38so that it can be filled with the
- 4:40substance.
- 4:40And this applies, I would argue, both to
- 4:43quote unquote sacred and secular contexts.
- 4:45So this includes like church structures and other
- 4:48structures in the kingdom of God, business structures,
- 4:51educational structures, family structures.
- 4:53And I'll try to make that case from
- 4:55the different Bible passages that we cite.
- 4:57So this is a little bit abstract, a
- 4:59little bit nerdy, I realized, but I think
- 5:00it's actually really helpful for us as we
- 5:02think about what it means to walk in
- 5:04obedience in business, in church, how we learn
- 5:06from each other in ministry, in the marketplace,
- 5:08this idea that God really cares about structure,
- 5:11but he cares even more about the substance
- 5:14that fills the structure.
- 5:16Okay.
- 5:16So this is going to be kind of
- 5:17like a chronological journey through the Bible.
- 5:18Where are places where we see God caring
- 5:20about structure?
- 5:21Well, one of these happens with Noah, right?
- 5:24The structure of the ark.
- 5:26So this is a Genesis chapter six.
- 5:28You know, the story, human beings are getting
- 5:31worse and worse and worse.
- 5:32And God is like, trying to figure out
- 5:34what to do.
- 5:34He's going to judge them.
- 5:35But then, you know, Noah at least is
- 5:36devout in his generation.
- 5:38And so God gives Noah this command.
- 5:41He says, this is how you are to
- 5:43make the ark.
- 5:44The length of the ark, 300 cubits, the
- 5:46breadth, 50 cubits and its height, 30 cubits.
- 5:50Make a roof for the ark and finish
- 5:51it to a cubit above and set the
- 5:53door of the ark in Make it with
- 5:55lower second and third decks.
- 5:57And it goes on.
- 5:58God really cares about the structure.
- 5:59He cares about how the ark will be
- 6:01built.
- 6:02He's giving specific coordinates, not coordinates, dimensions for
- 6:06how to build it.
- 6:07God really cares about this structure.
- 6:09And Noah has to start building it before
- 6:12there is a drop of rain falling from
- 6:13the sky.
- 6:14Noah has to walk in obedience and faith
- 6:16that he really has heard from the Lord
- 6:18and that these specifications really do matter.
- 6:20And he has to rearrange his whole life
- 6:22around doing it, even before there's any evidence
- 6:24in terms of this coming judgment of God.
- 6:27But sure enough, eventually, skipping ahead to chapter
- 6:307, in the 600th year of Noah's life,
- 6:33in the second month, on the 17th day
- 6:35of the month, on that day, all the
- 6:38fountains of the great deep burst forth and
- 6:40the windows of the heavens were opened and
- 6:42rain fell upon the earth 40 days and
- 6:4540 nights.
- 6:46On the very same day, Noah and his
- 6:48sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife,
- 6:50and the three wives of his sons with
- 6:52them, entered the ark, they and every beast
- 6:55according to its kind.
- 6:56And it goes on.
- 6:57Okay, here's what's really important though.
- 7:00Did Noah save his family?
- 7:02Did Noah save this covenant group who are
- 7:06going to stay in the grace of God,
- 7:09despite the terrible evil that's covering the face
- 7:11of the earth that God is judging?
- 7:13No, Noah is not the savior here.
- 7:15God is the savior.
- 7:16And this is emphasized in the final moment
- 7:19of this description of them all entering the
- 7:21ark.
- 7:23They went in as God commanded him and
- 7:27the Lord shut him in.
- 7:29It's not Noah who finalizes this.
- 7:31It's the Lord.
- 7:32The Lord shuts them in.
- 7:34So God cares a lot about the structure,
- 7:37but he cares even more about what's inside
- 7:40the structure.
- 7:40He cares about Noah.
- 7:41He cares about Noah's family.
- 7:43He cares about the animals.
- 7:44He cares about the creation and the way
- 7:45it's the entire world is inside that ark.
- 7:48And God is the one who shuts it
- 7:50in.
- 7:50God is the one that saves that substance
- 7:54that really matters inside of the structure.
- 7:57Okay, let's fast forward from Noah to Moses.
- 8:02The Israelites are out in the desert.
- 8:04They've already been delivered from Egypt.
- 8:07They've received the Torah, the 10 commandments.
- 8:10What does God include in the Torah?
- 8:12He includes some architectural plans for something called
- 8:16the tabernacle.
- 8:18So this is Exodus chapter 26.
- 8:20Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with 10
- 8:23curtains of fine twined linen and blue and
- 8:25purple and scarlet yarns.
- 8:27You shall make them with cherubim skillfully worked
- 8:29into them.
- 8:29The length of each curtain shall be 28
- 8:31cubits and the breadth of each curtain four
- 8:33cubits and the curtains shall be the same
- 8:35size.
- 8:36Five curtains shall be coupled to one another
- 8:37and the other five curtains shall be coupled
- 8:39to one another.
- 8:40And you shall make loops of blue on
- 8:41the edge of the outermost curtain.
- 8:43And it keeps going and it keeps going
- 8:45for Exodus 26 and Exodus 27 and Exodus
- 8:4828 and just keeps going and going and
- 8:52talking about the priest's garments and how they're
- 8:54going to make the ark.
- 8:55And then there's some other things in the
- 8:5730s.
- 8:57And then eventually we get to the final
- 8:59chapter of Exodus, Exodus chapter 40, right?
- 9:03And it's them.
- 9:04They're actually putting the tabernacle together as God
- 9:07commanded.
- 9:08So this is verse 16.
- 9:09This Moses did according to all that the
- 9:11Lord commanded him.
- 9:12So he did.
- 9:13And the first month and the second year
- 9:14on the first day of the month, the
- 9:16tabernacle was erected.
- 9:18Moses erected the tabernacle.
- 9:20He laid its bases and set up its
- 9:21frames and put in its poles and raised
- 9:23up its pillars.
- 9:25Okay.
- 9:25So again, there's obedience here.
- 9:28Moses and the people of Israel, they have
- 9:30to act in faith.
- 9:30They have to put together this structure that
- 9:32God commanded.
- 9:32But then what happens?
- 9:34Zooming down to verse 34.
- 9:37Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting
- 9:39and the glory of the Lord filled the
- 9:43tabernacle.
- 9:44And Moses was not able to enter the
- 9:46tent of meeting because the cloud settled on
- 9:48it and the glory of the Lord filled
- 9:51the tabernacle.
- 9:54Whoa.
- 9:55Okay.
- 9:55This is even more poignant and beautiful than
- 9:59what happened with the ark.
- 10:00With the ark, you had to build the
- 10:02structure and then you wait and then God
- 10:03shut them in.
- 10:03With the tabernacle, you build the structure and
- 10:06you wait and then God himself enters in.
- 10:09God symbolized in this cloud, his presence enters
- 10:13in to the tabernacle so that he can
- 10:15dwell with his people.
- 10:17The substance of God's presence is what's precious.
- 10:22That's the whole point of the structure is
- 10:23to have a place for God to dwell
- 10:25with his people.
- 10:26So the structure really matters, right?
- 10:28God gave the specifications.
- 10:30You have to act in obedience.
- 10:31But then what really matters is the substance
- 10:33that fills the structure.
- 10:35Okay.
- 10:36Zooming ahead.
- 10:37This pattern repeats almost identically with the building
- 10:41of the temple.
- 10:42So now from Noah to Moses, from Moses
- 10:45to Solomon, as you may know, David wanted
- 10:49to build the temple, but God said no.
- 10:50So David did some prep work in advance
- 10:53to set Solomon up so that he could
- 10:55do it.
- 10:56And so this is in first Kings chapter
- 10:58six and the 480th year after the people
- 11:01of Israel came out of the land of
- 11:02Egypt and the fourth year of Solomon's reign
- 11:04over Israel in the month of Ziv, which
- 11:05is in the second month, he began to
- 11:07build the house of the Lord.
- 11:08And there's specifications here and there's cherubim with
- 11:12gold here and there's walls and there's pillars.
- 11:15And again, all of these details, right?
- 11:18And then what happens?
- 11:21This is in first Kings chapter eight.
- 11:25Now they bring the ark into the temple
- 11:28and guess what happens?
- 11:31This is very reminiscent of what happened with
- 11:33the tabernacle.
- 11:35And when the priests came out of the
- 11:37holy place, a cloud filled the house of
- 11:39the Lord so that the priests could not
- 11:42stand to minister because of the cloud for
- 11:45the glory of the Lord filled the house
- 11:47of the Lord.
- 11:49Okay.
- 11:50Just like with the tabernacle, Moses couldn't even
- 11:52get inside because of the cloud.
- 11:53This time the priests can't get inside because
- 11:55of the cloud.
- 11:55It's the same image.
- 11:57God is like, you had to prepare this
- 11:58structure, this temple, but then what really matters?
- 12:01My presence, this substance and the temple.
- 12:04Okay.
- 12:04So we see this pattern.
- 12:06God commands people to build very particular structures.
- 12:09He cares about the structural details down to
- 12:11the little nitty gritty things.
- 12:13And yet what matters, what gives purpose to
- 12:16this structure?
- 12:17What makes the structure what it's meant to
- 12:18be?
- 12:19And even more so is not the structure
- 12:21itself.
- 12:22It's the substance in the structure.
- 12:24It's the presence of God in the case
- 12:27of the tabernacle and the temple.
- 12:29Okay.
- 12:29Now you might be wondering, is this just
- 12:30like an old Testament thing?
- 12:32Is this just something in the Hebrew scriptures?
- 12:33No, no, it's not.
- 12:34Let's fast forward to Matthew, the teaching of
- 12:38Jesus.
- 12:39Jesus gives a structured teaching here.
- 12:41That's really important.
- 12:43Okay.
- 12:43And it's kind of, it kind of comes
- 12:45in obliquely.
- 12:45It has to do with a question about
- 12:46fasting, but it's really important for us to
- 12:48track with what Jesus is saying here.
- 12:50This is his teaching on wine and wineskins.
- 12:53Again, now wine in the New Testament often
- 12:56represents the presence of God.
- 12:57In a few episodes ago in our last
- 12:59series, we looked at Jesus at the wedding
- 13:00at Cana and how that miracle of turning
- 13:03water into wine represents like God's life and
- 13:05abundance and provision.
- 13:07Okay.
- 13:08So keep that in mind.
- 13:09Wine often represents the presence of God.
- 13:11So this is Matthew chapter nine, starting in
- 13:15verse 14.
- 13:51Okay.
- 13:55This passage can feel a little bit obscure,
- 13:57but I think you can actually track with
- 13:58what Jesus is saying.
- 13:59Look at the metaphors.
- 14:00He talks about a patch for a piece
- 14:03of cloth.
- 14:04So a piece of cloth has a tear
- 14:05in it.
- 14:05You need to put a patch on it.
- 14:07If the cloth of the original garment has
- 14:10been treated in a certain way that it
- 14:12shrinks, don't put a patch on that hasn't
- 14:15been treated in the same way, or else
- 14:16you'll just get a worse tear when you're
- 14:18done.
- 14:19The patch needs to match the garment that
- 14:21it's fitting.
- 14:22You need a match with the patch.
- 14:24Ooh, that's a rhyme I wasn't expecting.
- 14:25I'm really just rolling with it today.
- 14:27Okay.
- 14:28So you need a match for the patch.
- 14:30Then he talks about wine and wineskins.
- 14:32He says, look, if you've got some old
- 14:34wineskins and then you pour new wine into
- 14:36them, the wine is going to burst the
- 14:38skins.
- 14:38Now, some of what he appears to be
- 14:40referencing here is that wine would continue to
- 14:42ferment, right?
- 14:43So it wasn't as technologically refined as wine
- 14:47that we have now.
- 14:48They would press wine in these wine presses,
- 14:51you know, by foot, it was a manual
- 14:52process.
- 14:53And then when it ran out, they would
- 14:55bottle it with leather bottles, wineskins, and it
- 14:58would continue to ferment while it was in
- 15:01those wineskins.
- 15:02And so if you had an old wineskin
- 15:04that had already been expanded through the process
- 15:06of fermentation before, and then you fill it
- 15:09up to the brim with new wine, there's
- 15:10no room left to expand.
- 15:11It's going to, it's going to burst.
- 15:13It's not gonna work.
- 15:14So he's like, okay, so don't get an
- 15:16old wineskin that's already been expanded.
- 15:17Get a new wineskin that's, that's leather.
- 15:20It's supple.
- 15:20It has room to expand, pour the wine
- 15:22and leave room.
- 15:23That way as the fermentation process continues, nothing's
- 15:26going to burst.
- 15:26Just like you need a batch for the
- 15:27patch.
- 15:28You need new wineskin for the new wine.
- 15:32Now what is Jesus actually talking about here?
- 15:35Jesus is talking about structures and substance.
- 15:37The wine is the presence of God.
- 15:39The wine is the substance.
- 15:40The wine is the thing that really matters.
- 15:42It's the life that God wants to give
- 15:44us.
- 15:45You have to have a structure for that.
- 15:48You can't just like, what if, what if
- 15:50they didn't have any wineskins at all?
- 15:51Just pours out of the vat onto the
- 15:53dirt or into people's hands.
- 15:55Like here's some wine, take it.
- 15:56See if you can carry it somewhere.
- 15:57Like that doesn't work.
- 15:58You have to have something to contain the
- 15:59wine.
- 16:00This is the way God operates.
- 16:01He gives us structures.
- 16:03He told Noah to build the ark.
- 16:05He told Moses to build the tabernacle.
- 16:06He gave Solomon the instructions that he needed
- 16:09to build the temple, right?
- 16:10The structure matters.
- 16:12And then when the structure is ready, when
- 16:14it matches, when there's a match for the
- 16:15patch, right?
- 16:17Then the presence, the substance, the wine can
- 16:23fill the structure.
- 16:25So the structure really matters.
- 16:27You need to prepare the structure in obedience
- 16:29and in faith so that it can receive
- 16:32what God really wants to give us, receive
- 16:35his life.
- 16:37Okay.
- 16:37So again, there's no way to have a
- 16:39structure-less Christianity.
- 16:40Sometimes people have tried.
- 16:41It turns out really badly, right?
- 16:44Just like we talked about in our last
- 16:45episode, you don't, you don't want a body
- 16:46without a skeleton.
- 16:47You don't want a pile of goo.
- 16:48Um, you, you need a structure to receive
- 16:51God's life.
- 16:52So in our church life, that means you
- 16:54have something that the pastor is going to
- 16:56wear on Sunday.
- 16:57You have some sort of order to your
- 16:59service.
- 16:59You have the traditions that maintain your community
- 17:02and your, your family life together somehow.
- 17:05Right?
- 17:05In a business, it means here's what our
- 17:07business model is.
- 17:08It means here's how we handle things in
- 17:09HR.
- 17:10Here's how we handle things, uh, in terms
- 17:12of, uh, dealing with our customers.
- 17:14Here's how we handle things with our, uh,
- 17:16financial accounting, right?
- 17:17You have to have structure.
- 17:18There's no structure free way to do life
- 17:21or business or anything that matters in life.
- 17:22But the structure is not the point.
- 17:24The structure is not the point.
- 17:25The point in church and in business is
- 17:28that the structure contains that wine of the
- 17:31life of God.
- 17:33You see how this is a teaching that
- 17:34Jesus is giving us.
- 17:36And so like with, in this particular case
- 17:37with John, the Baptist disciples and the Pharisees,
- 17:40it was like the structure of spiritual disciplines
- 17:43of fasting.
- 17:43It's like, Hey, we have specific traditions and
- 17:45your disciples aren't following them.
- 17:47And Jesus was basically saying like something more
- 17:49important than, than your traditions around fasting is
- 17:52here, right?
- 17:53The Messiah is here.
- 17:54I am here.
- 17:55Right?
- 17:55So it's the subtext here.
- 17:56Something more important is here.
- 17:57And so you need a new wineskin.
- 17:59You need a new structure.
- 18:00And Jesus kind of commissions the new structure
- 18:01of the early church by sending out the
- 18:03apostles.
- 18:05We need to be ready in our lives
- 18:08to hear the voice of God when he's
- 18:10telling us to prepare a structure or to
- 18:13prepare a new structure, right?
- 18:15Sometimes it's just, Hey, you know, there's going
- 18:17to be something coming to you.
- 18:18You got to build an arc.
- 18:19There's gotta be a structure.
- 18:20We start with faith and obedience.
- 18:22Sometimes it's, Hey, this structure has gotten us
- 18:25so far.
- 18:25Now we need to change.
- 18:27We need to have a new structure to
- 18:28respond to what God is doing right now.
- 18:31That really matters.
- 18:33Paying attention to those structural details matters.
- 18:35Figuring out the nitty gritty things of how
- 18:37your church bylaws work really matters of how
- 18:39your, your company bylaws work really matters.
- 18:42Having policies.
- 18:43It really matters.
- 18:44Having structure.
- 18:45It really matters.
- 18:46But it's not the most important thing.
- 18:47The most important thing is the life and
- 18:49the presence of God that he wants to
- 18:50fill that structure with so that it can
- 18:53be a structure of love in the kingdom
- 18:55of God.
- 18:57Okay.
- 18:57So I know that was maybe a little
- 18:59bit abstract, but it's right there in the
- 19:01Bible.
- 19:01It's repeated many, many times.
- 19:02It's right there in the teaching of Jesus.
- 19:03So I think it's important.
- 19:04So I'll kind of come back to this
- 19:06as we go through the series, talking about
- 19:07the wine versus the wine skin, um, and
- 19:10thinking about, okay, is this a wine issue
- 19:12or is this a wine skin issue?
- 19:14Right.
- 19:15And both matter, but the structure is not
- 19:18the same as the substance.
- 19:18The substance is what matters most of all.
- 19:21So by way of application, in terms of
- 19:23what you can do, think about what are
- 19:26the structures of my faith community?
- 19:29See if you can name them.
- 19:30Like what, what is your pastor wear on
- 19:31Sunday?
- 19:32Maybe you've never really thought about it.
- 19:34And then think about like, could this structure
- 19:36change and still hold the same substance?
- 19:39Can a pastor wear a three-piece suit
- 19:42on Sunday and the presence of God still
- 19:43be in that church?
- 19:45Fourth grade Chris didn't think so, but adult
- 19:46Chris thinks so, right?
- 19:48That's at the level of structure and it
- 19:50can change and it can adapt to different
- 19:51cultural settings and, and that's okay.
- 19:53That's not the point.
- 19:54But think about this.
- 19:55Think about what are the things in your
- 19:56community that couldn't change without compromising the substance?
- 20:00Okay.
- 20:00Now it's the same questions about business, about
- 20:02your work setting, whatever it is.
- 20:03What are the structural things?
- 20:04Like how does your HR handle payroll?
- 20:06Right.
- 20:07That's probably a structural thing that could change,
- 20:09but then what's the heart, what's the essence
- 20:10of what you all do in the world
- 20:12that couldn't change without it being compromised somehow?
- 20:15How are you loving God and loving neighbor
- 20:17through the enterprise of the business itself?
- 20:19This is really important to see what's the
- 20:22substance that God is filling this structure with.
- 20:26Because if you can't distinguish between the structure
- 20:28and the substance, then you won't be able
- 20:29to make key decisions when the time comes.
- 20:32But God helps us with this.
- 20:33So, so reflect on that.
- 20:34Reflect on what are the structures in my
- 20:35faith community?
- 20:36What are the structures in my business or
- 20:38my work?
- 20:39And how much of that is tied to
- 20:42the essence of the substance versus how much
- 20:43could change?
- 20:44See if you could just jot a few
- 20:45notes about that down and that'll help you
- 20:47as we kind of continue through the rest
- 20:49of the series.
- 20:51Lord Jesus, thank you that you give us
- 20:53that new wine, that you want to pour
- 20:56your life, the life of the Father, the
- 21:00Son, and the Holy Spirit into us and
- 21:03into our world.
- 21:04And so we ask that we would have
- 21:05the humility to walk in faith and obedience
- 21:08to prepare the structures even before that wine
- 21:11shows up, to be ready to receive it
- 21:13and to be ready for change, to be
- 21:16ready for whatever's new when you're doing something
- 21:18that we need to pay attention to.
- 21:21Jesus, do your work in us as we
- 21:23do our work with you.
- 21:29Thanks for listening.
