  Speaker 1: prayer and today on this Good Friday, as we reflect

  Speaker 1: on what Good Friday really means. When I think about

  Speaker 1: this holy day, when I think about the compassion and
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: the passion of Christ, when I think about Jesus carrying
• 0:22
  Speaker 1: his cross to Calvary, I'm deeply moved. I'm deeply grateful,

  Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ. On this solemn day, we come before
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: you in reverence sightlens, remembering the weight of the cross
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: you forth for us. Today, God, we just take time
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: to not rush ahead to resurrection, but to stay right
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: here with you in the pain, in the suffering, in
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: the stillness. You were wounded for our transgression. You were
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: boothed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: was upon you. By your stripes. We are healed and

  Speaker 1: we're grateful for God. On this good Friday, on the

  Speaker 1: day that went dark, when the sun refused to shine,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: you chose to surrender instead of escape. You chose mercy
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: instead of vengeance. You chose love instead of power. You
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: hung between earth and heaven, offering forgiveness to those who
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: nailed you there and paradise to a thief who simply believed. Lord,
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: we confess we've often turned our backs on you, ignored
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: the cries of the suffering, and chosen comfort over courage. Lord.

  Speaker 1: Forgive us. Lord today, let us remember the cross so
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: that we don't take lightly the price you paid for
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: our redemption. Jesus, you bore our shame so that we
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: could walk in grace. You were silent before you were
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: accuse it so that we can speak boldly of your love.

  Speaker 1: You died abandoned so that we could never be alone. God,

  Speaker 1: teach us the sacredness of surrender. Help us to carry
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: our own crosses. Not in bitterness. God, been in obedience

  Speaker 1: to you. Show us how to love like you love.

  Speaker 1: Show us how to forgive like we've been forgiven. Show

  Speaker 1: us God how to serve with humility. Today we remember

  Speaker 1: that it is finished, not because evil triumph, but because

  Speaker 1: you did what the enemy meant for evil. God, you

  Speaker 1: turn that thing around for all of our good. So

  Speaker 1: we wait at the foot of the cross God, grieving,
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: watching pray, not as those that don't have hope God,
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: but as those that know that Sunday is coming. God,

  Speaker 1: the resurrection is coming God. But today God, we want
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: to linger here and honor your sacrifice, letting your love
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: reshape us and redeem us. Lord Jesus crucified for us. God,
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: we adore you, we appreciate you, and today God, we
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: take the time to just say thank you and Jesus name. Amen.
