- 0:00Speaker 1: I was going on this, Romeo, what do we get
- 0:02into today? A guy said he tried to help his
- 0:04wife out because she was having a rough day to
- 0:05make dinner and she got mad at him. And another
- 0:07guy said, he pays one hundred percent of the bills
- 0:10and his wife, uh won't make him dinner. All he
- 0:12wants is a hot meal when he gets off work.
- 0:14Go see what happens. I got to tell you guys something,
- 0:20and I just, man, when are you guys gonna learn?
- 0:24A friend of mine, so he got divorced. It's been
- 0:28over two years since he's gotten divorced, right, and didn't
- 0:31work out. Him and his wife were married for like
- 0:33ten years, didn't go It didn't work out. I think
- 0:37he cheated first and she cheated second. So it just
- 0:40was never, you know, never gonna work out. And he's complaining.
- 0:45He's still complaining. Two years after divorce. He's still blaming
- 0:49his wife and complaining and saying, well, I wouldn't have cheated.
- 0:53She would have done this, and she would have done that.
- 0:55And first of all, after two years, get over it. God,
- 1:00I mean, divorce happens, and it seems to be very
- 1:03it seems to be more and more common nowadays. But
- 1:06at a certain point, get over it. You know, it
- 1:10didn't work out. I'm sorry, it's it's it's and it's
- 1:14kind of rough to say that, right, Well, Roam, you
- 1:17never went through a divorce like you know, and there
- 1:18was this, There was that, and the trauma and the
- 1:20and the pain and the agony and the you know,
- 1:22the mental the mentally draining you know how it drains
- 1:27you mentally and this and that, Right, I get it.
- 1:32But at some point you have to realize that divorces
- 1:36failure on both of your parts, not just one. And
- 1:41you could you could all say, well, he cheated on
- 1:44me or she cheated on him, or whatever the case
- 1:47may be. But somehow it got to that point. Okay, Now,
- 1:53if you just married a cheater, Okay, I get it.
- 1:56You there was never gonna work in the first place
- 1:58because he was a cheater when you met or when
- 2:01you met her.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I just heard the story the other day from a
- 2:05friend of mine. She was telling me a coworker was complaining,
- 2:09wasn't complaining, but cheated on her husband. Husband found out
- 2:14went out there. Now they're going through a divorce. And
- 2:16her explanation as well, that's just who I am. It's
- 2:19in my DNA because my mom was a cheater, and
- 2:22that's my aunt was a cheater, So we're just cheaters.
- 2:25So that's how she justified it to herself. Okay, so
- 2:27maybe that's a little bit different. I don't know, but
- 2:30it really is failure on both parts involved in the relationship. Okay.
- 2:38And you guys can say, well, you guys can look
- 2:40at the outcome or how you got there or what
- 2:43it is, Well, this is more wrong than that, so
- 2:48it's his fault or it's her fault. But the reality
- 2:51is it's failure on both your parts, and you guys
- 2:56need to get over it. I mean, it's just at
- 3:00a two years. I mean, this guy's been divorced for
- 3:03two years and he still complained about what she did
- 3:09and why it was her fault. I mean you should.
- 3:14You guys gotta understand you you're blamed. If you went
- 3:19through a divorce, you're partially to blame as well. Okay.
- 3:23And I'm not saying what the other party did wasn't important,
- 3:26wasn't worse, But I'm saying, is it got there somehow,
- 3:31So take some responsibility and move on. I just don't
- 3:36know how people can live like that, This guy, just
- 3:38how can you live like that? Already four two four
- 3:42or seven to seven? Already four two five, four seven
- 3:45to seven. Hey, Romeo, you're absolutely right about the divorce.
- 3:51I cheated on my wife three years ago. We got divorced,
- 3:56and she still blames me for our divorce to this
- 3:59day after three years, even though she won't admit that
- 4:03the reason I cheated was because of her hold on
- 4:07a second, that is not what I said. Okay, don't
- 4:11get me wrong. I mean, I'm not saying that one
- 4:16is worse than the other. Okay, what I'm saying, I'm
- 4:20not saying that her driving you to cheating in your
- 4:22mind and you cheating makes you right and her wrong.
- 4:26That is not at all what I'm saying. You're still
- 4:29wrong more so than she is wrong. Okay, you should
- 4:33have not cheated. But my point is she has some
- 4:36blame for your relationship that led you to cheating. That
- 4:42doesn't mean you were right, Okay, but it's you. Guys
- 4:48gotta stop, You gotta get over it, and you gotta
- 4:51just my gosh, three years so she's still complaining after
- 4:55three years. I mean, how happy? How unhappy are you?
- 5:00Accept accountability for your relationship not working and move on.
- 5:05You can't live life like that. That just does not
- 5:08sound fun at all. I mean, I have a couple
- 5:11of friends who are just still they're becoming worse people
- 5:17because of their divorce, yet they're still in relationships. I
- 5:23just don't know how that could be, how that's possible.
- 5:26They're just not happy people to be around. Just I
- 5:32don't know. And if you're just gonna blame somebody else
- 5:35when and you don't realize that a divorce is a
- 5:37failure on both parts, Yeah, you need to figure that out.
- 5:42Oh man, I was talking a little bit about divorce
- 5:45because I have some people in my life, some friends
- 5:47that are a couple of years out of their marriages,
- 5:50and they're just still blame their partners. And it's not
- 5:53just men, it's women too. Just move on after a
- 5:57few years. And what's even crazier is they're still they've
- 6:02they've moved on, they've got new girlfriends, and they've got
- 6:05new husbands or new wives, and they're still harboring bitterness
- 6:10about their ex, their their past marriage. And I guess,
- 6:15I guess you should you can still harbor it, I guess,
- 6:18But when you publicly tell people about it and complain
- 6:21about it. I mean, what does that say about you?
- 6:24I mean, you were you have fault in your divorce
- 6:27as well. No, it's not one sided. Okay. A marriage
- 6:31or a relationship not working out is not one person's fault.
- 6:36It's both person's fault, person's people's, it's both of your faults. Okay. Now,
- 6:42one the way it ends might be very dramatic, and
- 6:46you shouldn't have done it in that way. I mean,
- 6:49but if you just come home and say, hey, I
- 6:52want a divorce. I'm not happy with this, I'm not
- 6:56happy with that, and you're partner says well, I'm not
- 7:01going to change or we're not going okay, let's get
- 7:04divorced or I don't want to. I mean, it's the
- 7:10problem is somebody does something big to get a divorce.
- 7:13Somebody does something big, a big dramatic scene, and then
- 7:16now you're the bad guy, okay, whether you and usually
- 7:20it's cheating. Usually it's cheating already four two, seven to seven.
- 7:25But something led to that, and that that's the problem.
- 7:28You know, if you want to go cheat because your
- 7:31wife's not having sex with you, then just tell your
- 7:34wife you want a divorce and move on. You know,
- 7:38if you want to cheat because your husband spends more
- 7:40time at work or with his buddies than he does
- 7:43it with you, then just tell him you want to
- 7:45move on. But that's not how it normally works out.
- 7:48But there is a problem there, I mean on both parts,
- 7:51and I think a lot of you guys need to
- 7:52see that. And once you see that, you can move
- 7:54on from it, once you take some accountability. Already four
- 7:59two Bob for seven to seven in Romeo. Divorce is tough.
- 8:05It drained you mentally. My wife and I went through
- 8:09a three year divorce because she wanted all this money
- 8:12from me, which I didn't think she deserved, and it
- 8:16was just a battle and a drain. So I can
- 8:19see why people harbor bitterness over their partner, maybe not
- 8:25because of the relationship and the way it ended, but
- 8:28because the divorce is so draining mentally. Do you ever
- 8:32think about that?
- 8:35Speaker 3: No?
- 8:36Speaker 1: I didn't, but you could be right. You could be
- 8:39right already fourteen five, four or seven to seven? Wait,
- 8:43now what's going on? Hey, what's up?
- 8:47Speaker 4: So that's pretty crazy.
- 8:49Speaker 5: My brother got a divorced, okay, and so they moved
- 8:55out to Wisconsin because his ex had an opportunity to
- 9:00open up a new or where she works at.
- 9:05Speaker 4: And run it.
- 9:06Speaker 6: She did that, and then after that she had.
- 9:09Speaker 5: An opportunity to go to Texas to do the same thing,
- 9:14and she cheated on my brothers. She's now with that
- 9:20guy that she met. Moved back to Bakersfield, and now
- 9:24she's with him, and she's forcing my son or my
- 9:29brother's son to call him dad.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Wow.
- 9:37Speaker 5: Yeah, where go ahead?
- 9:40Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, where is your brother at here in Bakersfield?
- 9:43Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 9:44Speaker 1: And so did your brother go with her or stay
- 9:46here while.
- 9:49Speaker 7: They moved all the.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Way to Wisconsin?
- 9:51Speaker 7: They didn't move to Texas, gotcha?
- 9:54Speaker 5: So you know, he had to move back to Bakersfield.
- 9:58He had to sell the house that they you know, God,
- 10:01and all kinds of crazy stuff. It's wild the things
- 10:06that she's doing, and like how they moved all the
- 10:10way for Bakersfilt to Wisconsin.
- 10:16Speaker 7: It's wild.
- 10:18Speaker 6: And you know, like, well, I don't know.
- 10:22Speaker 4: She has the kids.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Calling him dad and all that. How is the kid
- 10:28one is twelve and the other one.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Do the kids know the difference or are they being brainwashed? Okay?
- 10:35Speaker 5: Okay, So yeah, because like custody battle. You know, so
- 10:39they have one week with their mother and then the
- 10:42next week.
- 10:42Speaker 2: With my brother. Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Sure, anytime they come back, they're like running to my
- 10:48dad or my brother.
- 10:50Speaker 4: No.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Unfortunately, unfortunately, your brother is just gonna have to wait
- 10:55it out. They'll they'll at certain point, probably in the
- 10:57next well I don't think they'll leave each other, but
- 11:00probably when they're gonna want to live with him before
- 11:04probably by the time their teens don't want to move
- 11:06in with your brother.
- 11:07Speaker 5: They don't even want to be there now.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yeah, well I get it, but unfortunately, your brother's gonna
- 11:15have to wait this one out until they can make
- 11:16that decision exactly.
- 11:19Speaker 4: They do not.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Want to be with her at all.
- 11:22Speaker 1: That's hilarous. Well, I wonder why she won't give them up.
- 11:25I wonder what she what her deal is if they
- 11:27if she knows. I wonder what that's all about.
- 11:30Speaker 6: Mother.
- 11:31Speaker 5: She wants to look like she cares. And you know,
- 11:33when they are living in Wisconsin, she just abandoned everybody.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Oh well she is a cheater. So yeah, she is
- 11:41a cheater. So she's already looks bad.
- 11:44Speaker 8: Yep, exactly, you guys, just all right, she sent me
- 11:56here already four, two, five, four, seven to seven?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yo? What do you got here? It says, hey, yo, Rome.
- 12:04As for my divorce, I had continuously spoke to my
- 12:07ex wife about stuff I had issues with her. She
- 12:10would repair the issues temporarily, maybe a week or two
- 12:13tops i'd ended up. I did end up cheating, and
- 12:18I should have just left her, but didn't just because
- 12:21I had hopes she would change. But never did I
- 12:28know that. I know what I did was wrong, but
- 12:31she should have been. She shouldn't have been surprised that
- 12:37we ended in divorce. She is the one who initiated
- 12:40the divorce, and till this day, she still isn't over
- 12:44it and weaponizes my kids. To me, it's been four
- 12:49years she's been in and out of relationships, and I'm
- 12:53just cool by my well being lonely, Which brings me
- 12:57to my question for you. She's brought over eight guys
- 13:02around my kids, as in, she's moved in and out
- 13:05of eight plus guys into her into her apartment. What
- 13:10do you think about that? I've only brought one woman
- 13:13around my kids, and it was a serious relationship, but
- 13:15that ended and haven't brought anyone around my kids. Do
- 13:19you think I should be more open or is she
- 13:22overdoing That's a very good question. She's probably overdoing it.
- 13:29It's probably messing with the kids when she does that.
- 13:31I mean, you can't just move men in and out,
- 13:34you know you can't. You probably shouldn't just be moving
- 13:38multiple men in and out of your house. That probably
- 13:42does not bode well for the kids. I'm just guessing.
- 13:45I'm sure the kids are a little a little confused,
- 13:48depending on how old they are and what age. But yeah,
- 13:54so there you go. I like how you said though
- 13:57you always blame her, told her she needed to change.
- 14:01You ever think that maybe you needed to change as
- 14:03well in some manner. So yeah, your story sounds kind
- 14:09of like a typical Bakersfield Hallmark story right there. M
- 14:16What did you send me here already? Four two, five,
- 14:18four or seven to seven? Hey? Rome, can you help
- 14:21me understand this? Yesterday I'm at work. My wife calls
- 14:25me from her job talking about what a rough day
- 14:27she's having, how hard it's been, she's tired, she's frustrated.
- 14:31So I take off work a little bit early. You
- 14:34know what, I will say this, sometimes there's too much
- 14:38and I haven't finished reading this, but I'm sometimes there's
- 14:41too much communication. If you were at work and you
- 14:44get a call from your spouse telling you how messed
- 14:46up their day is, and you're trying to get through
- 14:49your day, he's supposed to handle that anyway. So okay,
- 14:55I go pick up dinner for us and the kids
- 14:57so she doesn't have to do anything. When she gets home,
- 15:01she shows up, I got dinner ready. She's mad at me.
- 15:05She had pulled out some meat that she was gonna cook.
- 15:08So now I'm the bad guy for getting dinner and
- 15:10ruining her dinner plans. I was just trying to help
- 15:14her out room. Was I wrong? No, know, you're not wrong.
- 15:20I mean, why would you be wrong. She's talking about
- 15:22what a rough day she's having, how she's frustrated and
- 15:25blah blah blah, and so you try to do what
- 15:28you can to help. You know, I'm gonna give this
- 15:33guy credit, because you know how women always get mad
- 15:37when you try to solve their problems for them. He
- 15:39could have just as easily tried to solve her rough
- 15:44day at work with whatever she was frustrated with at
- 15:47her job, but instead he just said, you know what,
- 15:49let me go hander dinner for us and the kids
- 15:52so that she has one less thing to deal with,
- 15:54and then she comes home mad at you. No, you
- 15:58didn't do anything wrong. She was just being and jackass.
- 16:01I mean, she just took out her rough day on you.
- 16:04And I'll be honest with you. If I were you,
- 16:06I would never make dinner again. I would never buy
- 16:08dinner again. I would never make dinner again. She should
- 16:12have kept her mouth shut, put the meat in refrigerator,
- 16:15and just enjoyed the fact that you tried to do
- 16:17something to less than the stress of her day. Is
- 16:21what you should have is what she should have done.
- 16:23So No, she was one hundred percent wrong, and I'm
- 16:27just telling you I would never help her out again,
- 16:30just for the mere fact that she did that to you.
- 16:33All right, two for seven to seven send me this.
- 16:36I thought it was kind of funny, he said a roam.
- 16:38I was hoping you can help me understand. So yesterday
- 16:41I'm at work. My wife calls me from her job
- 16:44talking about what a rough day she's having, how hard
- 16:46it is, she's tired, she's frustrated. So I take a
- 16:49I get off work a little bit early to go
- 16:51pick up dinner for us and the kids. So she
- 16:53doesn't have to do anything. When she gets home, she's mad.
- 16:57She's mad at me. She had pulled out some meat
- 16:59that she was gonna cook. So now I'm the bad
- 17:01guy for getting dinner and ruining her dinner plans. I
- 17:04was just trying to help. Rom Was I wrong? No,
- 17:07you weren't wrong. Of course you're not wrong. I could
- 17:10be wrong for trying to help. I'm like that meat
- 17:13can't sit one more day, but you pulled out some
- 17:15of me. You can't have it what happened yesterday when
- 17:19you can't have it today? I mean, what? Why would
- 17:24you be wrong? Already? Four two four or seven to seven? Hey, Romeo,
- 17:30tell that guy he has to understand what his wife
- 17:34is doing as a mother of two and a wife.
- 17:39When I get home, I have dinner plans ready to go.
- 17:42So when I pull out food to make when I
- 17:45get home for everybody, it is frustrating when nobody wants
- 17:48to eat it. Well, he didn't say nobody wanted to
- 17:51eat it. He just said he was trying to help
- 17:53her out so she didn't have to cook, so he
- 17:56provided dinner. What is wrong with you cannot honestly sit
- 18:00here and say that this guy was wrong for trying
- 18:03to make his wife's day a little easier. He can't
- 18:07be that dumb, There's no way in hell. I mean,
- 18:10that's just her being the jackass. She had a rough
- 18:12day at work, came home, took it out on him.
- 18:15That's all. It was thirty four, two, five four or
- 18:17seven to seven, all right, this is just too funny, man.
- 18:21I mean, the guy says that. This is what the
- 18:23guy sent me. He said. He says, his wife called
- 18:26him right at work yesterday and she was talking about
- 18:29her job. It was she was having a rough day,
- 18:32she was frustrated, she was tired. So I guess he
- 18:35got off work early, so he was gonna pick up
- 18:37dinner for everybody, for the kids and everybody, so she
- 18:40didn't have to do dinner. When she gets home, she
- 18:43sews up for dinner. She sews up. I got dinner
- 18:46ready already. She's mad at me. She pulled out some
- 18:49meat that she was gonna cook. So now I'm a
- 18:52bad guy for getting dinner and ruining her plans. I
- 18:55was just trying to help out Roam. What do you
- 18:57think was I wrong for that? No, you weren't. She
- 19:00was just me in a jackass. I mean, there's no
- 19:04other way to say it already four two five, four
- 19:07seven to seven. Hey, Rome, that's why these women in
- 19:11Bakersfield can't find a good man, and they're always complaining
- 19:15that good men don't exist because when a guy does
- 19:18something for him like that, they got to get pissed
- 19:21off because it wasn't their way. Well, I don't know
- 19:26if that's true, but yeah, I mean, obviously she had
- 19:32a bad day at work, so she went and took
- 19:36it out on her family on her husband called him
- 19:38at worked to complain. Then when he tried to do
- 19:41something nice for her to make her day easier, she
- 19:44got mad at him. Bro, I hope she's a good woman.
- 19:48I don't know what to tell you already. Four two five,
- 19:50four seven to seven. Hey Rome, Uh, hey, Roam, it
- 19:56is his fault. If his wife had plans for dinner already,
- 20:00he should have called her and asked her if it
- 20:03was okay for him to do that so it didn't
- 20:06mess up what she had going on at home. Um No,
- 20:11that's just stupid. That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. Maybe maybe you're right.
- 20:18That's why these women in Bakersfield are always complaining they
- 20:21can't find a good man because when a good man
- 20:23does good stuff for him, they act like jackasses. Maybe
- 20:26you're right already four two five, four, seven to seven.
- 20:30So check out what happened to this dude, This poor
- 20:32guy man. I feel bad for him. I hope his
- 20:34wife doesn't treat him like this all the time. He says, Rome,
- 20:39Maybe you can help me out, help me understand what this. Yesterday,
- 20:44I'm at work, my wife calls me her job, from
- 20:46her job, talking about what a rough day she's having,
- 20:49how hard it's been, she's tired, she's frustrated. So I
- 20:52take off work a little bit early, pick up dinner
- 20:54for us and the kids so she doesn't have to
- 20:56do anything. When she gets home, she's dinner's ready. She's
- 21:00mad at me. She had to, she says, she pulled
- 21:02out some meat that was she was gonna cook. So
- 21:05now I'm the bad guy. I ruined her dinner plans. Well,
- 21:10did you really or is she just trying to be
- 21:13a jackass and take out her bad day on you?
- 21:16Because it's like what that met can't sit one more day,
- 21:19can't make it today? I mean, what is it bad?
- 21:23And who cares? You know? Sometimes I'm just gonna tell
- 21:26you this. Sometimes when somebody does something for you, you need
- 21:31to just shut up and be appreciative. Okay. Sometimes you
- 21:35need to just say thank you and go about your day,
- 21:39not good, not be mad because you had something else.
- 21:44Obviously your husband did not know that, so all you
- 21:49had to do was not say anything, be appreciative, and
- 21:52make the make whatever you're gonna do today. Okay. People
- 21:57do that all the time. They do it with flowers
- 21:59a lot. Hear these, Oh they're flowers, you bought me flowers,
- 22:02or they're just gonna die. Or people do stuff your spouse.
- 22:06You do stuff for your spouse, and instead of just
- 22:08being appreciative, they have to make some snide remark about
- 22:11it already four two five four or seven to seven, Yo, Rome,
- 22:16I agree with you, Rome, Well appreciate it, Yo, Rome.
- 22:19The chick had a rough day at work because her
- 22:21work husband didn't bring her coffee and donuts. She's just selfish. Yeah, Bro,
- 22:28I would have been uh yeah, poor guy. I feel
- 22:31bad for you, Bro, I mean I really do. Your
- 22:33wife was just being a jerk, you know. I hope
- 22:36she's not always like that. Hopefully this is just I'm hoping,
- 22:41because you asked me about it, that this is just
- 22:43an odd day, you know, an off day, that this
- 22:46is not a regular occurrence, because if it is, bro
- 22:49you got to get a new wife. I mean, and
- 22:53I would tell you again, don't ever in your life
- 22:57make dinner buy dinner for her ever again. I'll ever
- 23:00try to help her out again if she's going to
- 23:02treat you like that. I was telling me that his
- 23:04wife called him at work and apparently, if she's having
- 23:08a rough day, she was tired, frustrated, so he thought
- 23:11he'd try to help out him a little bit. He
- 23:13gets off work a little bit early, goes and picks
- 23:15up dinner for the kids and everybody, and apparently when
- 23:18she got home she was mad about it. Excuse me,
- 23:21she was mad because she had pulled out some meat
- 23:23that she was going to cook, which how old is
- 23:26your wife, by the way, who pulls out meat every day?
- 23:28That's just weird. I don't mean people still did that,
- 23:31but okay, So he was just asking me what I
- 23:34thought about it. He was just trying to help out
- 23:36and be nice, and apparently, you know what I think
- 23:39is she had a rough day, and I think that
- 23:41she took it out on you, and I think that's terrible.
- 23:47Already four two, five, four or seven to seven, h room,
- 23:51I think you're right. I think she just had a
- 23:53rough day and took it out on her husband. That's
- 23:57unfortunate that women act like that. I used to do
- 24:02that with my husband when he was just trying to
- 24:04help me. It took me a little while, but I
- 24:06finally learned just to kind of just to kind of
- 24:10understand what he's doing. Well. Is trying to help you wrong?
- 24:16That text message kind of made it sound like trying
- 24:18to help you was wrong. Can you help in the
- 24:21wrong way like that? I guess already? Fourteen five more
- 24:25seven to seven. Hey, Romeo, I was just listening to
- 24:29you talk about the guy who was trying to help
- 24:30out his wife with dinner. You are absolutely right when
- 24:35you say you need to just keep your mouth shut
- 24:39at times with your wife or with your husband. Sometimes
- 24:42they're trying to do something nice for you and you
- 24:44just need to accept it, be happy and appreciative and
- 24:48let it go. I do a lot of work out
- 24:50in the garage and my wife always comes out to
- 24:53help me. My wife knows how to take an hour
- 24:56job and turn it into a four hour mess. But
- 24:59yet I never say a word. I just let her
- 25:02help because it makes her feel good and it makes
- 25:05her happy. More more spouse, more, oh more, spouses need
- 25:11to understand that, Yeah, maybe you're right, Maybe you're right.
- 25:15There's a I mean, sometimes you're in the way, sometimes
- 25:18you're helping. But I guess if they're trying, then why
- 25:21not Morning Mountain's going on?
- 25:24Speaker 2: Morning Romeo, Hey on that that lady they got to
- 25:27her what her husband about was the dinner?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it was dinner.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Have you ever seen anybody at word get upset? That's
- 25:34tacked to lunch and supervisor surprise. The men said, hey,
- 25:37I'm buying you guys, have anybody get up? I've never
- 25:43seen somebody I'm not going to eat today. I brought
- 25:47lunch from home. Right, you're being a jackass, You're you
- 25:54know what I mean?
- 25:57Speaker 1: Would you send me here? Hey Romeo, that happened to me?
- 26:01Oh about the guy in the dinner, Hey roam that
- 26:04what happened was the guy said that his wife called frustrated,
- 26:06tired at work about by bringing dinner home for everybody.
- 26:10When she got home, dinner was ready and she was
- 26:12mad at him. He was a bad guy because she
- 26:14had pulled out some meat she was gonna cook. So
- 26:17uh yeah, so he was the bad guy. What's this, hey, Rome?
- 26:21What happened to me? I remember getting up early one
- 26:23Saturday morning to make my kids and wife a nice,
- 26:26good breakfast, and I gave all of them their plates
- 26:31in their room so it'd be like breakfast in bed.
- 26:33Everyone was happy, except for my wife. She told me
- 26:35she doesn't need breakfast like that. So never again did
- 26:39I make her a plate. If I cook, I give
- 26:41the kids food, but I never handed her a plate.
- 26:45I left food on the pot or skillet, so if
- 26:47she wanted to eat, she can go get her own.
- 26:51My kids like it when I cook. They say I
- 26:54cook better than their mom. I mean, yeah, at least
- 27:01you figured it out. I mean it just and now
- 27:04she probably complains you never do anything for her, right,
- 27:07I mean the idea that sometimes, I mean sometimes a spouse,
- 27:14a partner, you just need to be appreciative when actually
- 27:17just a human being, if somebody does something for you,
- 27:20just be appreciative that they thought of you, or just
- 27:23be appreciative that they were trying to help you. Stop
- 27:26being a jackass. You know you don't have to say.
- 27:29If somebody buys you a gift and you don't like it,
- 27:32you don't have to say you don't like it, just
- 27:33say thank you. You don't have to use it, you
- 27:36don't have to Just that's it.
- 27:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 27:38Speaker 1: The stupidity behind the idea that you need to make
- 27:42some snide remark or some comment every time shouldn't get
- 27:47you punched in the face, to be perfectly honest with you,
- 27:50because it's just absolutely ridiculous. I mean, somebody's trying to
- 27:55do something for you. You know. It's funny, though, is
- 28:03this guy was talking about breakfast, making breakfast for his
- 28:05wife and she says she don't do it like that
- 28:07or eat it like that in bed or whatever. I bet,
- 28:12I bet she does all kinds of stuff behind his back,
- 28:15not like a a cheating way, just you know, all right, Wow,
- 28:24it amazes me, you people, It just amazes me already
- 28:28four two, five, four or seven seven. It's okay to
- 28:32just say thank you. It is okay to do that,
- 28:36just so you know. Yeah, this text message, poor guy.
- 28:38I feel bad for him, but I did think of
- 28:40a solution, says ro Maybe you can help me understand this. Yesterday,
- 28:44I'm at work. My wife calls calls me from her job,
- 28:47talking about what a rough day she's having, how hard
- 28:50it's been, she's tired, she's frustrated. So I take off
- 28:52work a little bit earlier. I go pick up dinner
- 28:54for us and the kids. She doesn't have to so
- 28:57she doesn't have to do anything when she gets home.
- 28:59She shows up for dinner. She shows at home, dinner's ready.
- 29:02She's mad at me. She pulled out some meat that
- 29:05she was gonna cook, So I'm the bad guy for
- 29:08getting dinner and ruining her dinner plans. What do you
- 29:11think Rome? Was I wrong? No, you were wrong. But
- 29:16I'm gonna tell you what you do tonight. This is
- 29:18what you do. Okay. You know that meat that she
- 29:21pulled out that she didn't get to cook last night,
- 29:26Let her cook it tonight and you take the kids
- 29:29out to dinner. Leave her at home. She can eat
- 29:32her she can eat the dinner that she had planned
- 29:35to cook last night, and you take the kids out
- 29:39to dinner tonight. Leave her ass at home, because she's
- 29:45just being the jackass at that point. That's all she
- 29:47was doing, was just taking out her bad day and
- 29:49her frustrations on you and yeah, leave her at home
- 29:54with her dinner tonight. And when she said, hey, rome
- 29:56I swear your freaking life. I love your advice. Okay, well,
- 30:05thank you. You know, it's kind of funny that you
- 30:10said that, by the way, because somebody just asked me
- 30:13that the other day. I was having a conversation with
- 30:15someone and they were like, hey, Romeo, I remember that.
- 30:17You know. They were talking about listening to the show
- 30:19and they heard me say something to some woman or
- 30:21some dude or something like, how can you say that
- 30:23to people? And well, I mean, and it's not it's
- 30:28not difficult. My advice is not groundbreaking. My advice is
- 30:33what every single one of you were thinking. It's just
- 30:38women can say whatever they want to a man. A
- 30:40woman could go home right now and tell her husband
- 30:43he's fat, and he has to accept that, okay with
- 30:48no she has no accountability to that. If a man
- 30:52goes home and tells his wife she's fat, oh my god,
- 30:56all hell is gonna break loose. He's a horrible individual.
- 30:58It just it's the hypocrisy of men and women. So
- 31:04the reason I say that is I can tell you
- 31:07I can say something too. When somebody texts me, or said,
- 31:12the guy knows his wife's crazy for doing that, but
- 31:16he can't tell her that. I can tell her that, though,
- 31:19because I'm not trying to sleep with her. That's really
- 31:22That's how simple this show has been My whole life.
- 31:25My whole show is I'm not trying to sleep with you,
- 31:29So if you're acting like a jackass, I can tell
- 31:33you you're being a jackass. And she was being a jackass.
- 31:37Now he can't tell her that because well, he's the
- 31:41bad guy. But let's be honest. Just as much as
- 31:45you want to blame men for their faults, you women
- 31:49have faults too. Why do you think so many guys
- 31:54text me about what their wives are doing or what
- 31:57their girlfriends are doing, they can't tell him they're wrong.
- 32:04And I hate to burst your bubble, ladies, but you
- 32:08are wrong also. And I know you don't think you
- 32:12are because your husband doesn't tell you. But he's still
- 32:15trying to have sex with you, so he's not going
- 32:18to tell you. That's why I have to tell you.
- 32:22He wants to tell you, but he can't, so he
- 32:26calls me and then I tell you. I mean, he
- 32:30hopes you listen, and the reality is you listen and
- 32:33then you just get mad at me. But he feels
- 32:35better about his life. It's a pretty simple process. But
- 32:41I hate to you know when you a lot of
- 32:45you women out there are very are very entitled because
- 32:48your husband has never put you in check when you've
- 32:50done something stupid. So you think you're never wrong. Well
- 32:54you're wrong more than you think. All Right, let's see here,
- 32:59Hey Romeo, I make one hundred percent of the household income.
- 33:04I'll ask my stay at home wife to do. Oh
- 33:09all I ask my stay at home wife to do
- 33:11is have dinner ready when I come home. She always
- 33:13gets upset while cooking and purposely starts dinner twenty to
- 33:17thirty minutes after I get home. The catch is my
- 33:21son eats a different dinner before I get home. What
- 33:26are your thoughts on this situation?
- 33:36Speaker 9: Wow?
- 33:37Speaker 1: Let me go two ways with this one, and I'm
- 33:39gonna go I'm gonna kind of go both sides of it. Okay,
- 33:43is are you telling her telling somebody to do something
- 33:51is wrong? You know you can't tell another adult what
- 33:55to do. Okay, but you're saying you're asking, so if
- 34:01it's a legitimate I'm just you know, you stay at home.
- 34:04I just asked her to have dinner ready. Um, I
- 34:10think she's being a jackass, and I think she's doing
- 34:12it on purpose for whatever insecurities that she has. There
- 34:21are a thousand women listening to this radio show right
- 34:24now that would love to be in that position that
- 34:27all they have to do is cook dinner, is have
- 34:30dinner ready. That's their main responsibility, stay at home all
- 34:33day and have dinner ready. I mean, your wife seems
- 34:37to be doing I mean, I don't know what the
- 34:40power dynamic is in your relationship, considering you make all
- 34:43the money. She's a stay at home wife, But I
- 34:46mean do you give her money? Does she need to
- 34:47ask you for money? How does that work? Also, if
- 34:51you're just well you just said, all I ask is
- 34:53that she has dinner ready when you come home. I mean,
- 34:55that's not too much to ask for a stay at
- 34:58home wife, you know. So yeah, I think that I
- 35:04think she's doing it on purpose, just to try to
- 35:07prove a point to make herself feel better. But like
- 35:13I said, man, there's thousand women listening right now that
- 35:16would sign up for that today. All I gotta do
- 35:19is make dinner for a man that's going to go
- 35:21to work every day, and I don't you know, I mean,
- 35:24you got a lot of different types of women out there.
- 35:26There are women that like to go to work every day,
- 35:28that like to make their own money. There are women
- 35:30that like to raise kids and stay at home and
- 35:34you know, make dinner. You know, it's it's much easier
- 35:41to to find a woman that wants what you want
- 35:47than it is to try to convert one, you know
- 35:50what I'm saying. So it's kind of bs, But I
- 36:01don't know. Here's the man. It's just relationships are so difficult,
- 36:06and the problem is the only women that are gonna
- 36:11stay loyal to a man are staying loyal to the
- 36:16man with money they don't want to They're staying loyal
- 36:18to their lifestyle. They're not staying loyal to the man.
- 36:20They're staying loyal to their lifestyle. So they will do
- 36:23what they have to do to not lose their lifestyle. Okay,
- 36:28But all the other regular relationships where both of you working,
- 36:33both of you, you know, there's so many other options
- 36:35out there that there's no reason to be loyal to that.
- 36:38There's no reason to be respectful of your there's no
- 36:41reason to be respectful of your marriage because she can
- 36:46find that again. She can find that tomorrow, you know,
- 36:49with the Internet and social media and with all these
- 36:52other things. Probably guys hitting on her right now, but
- 36:54I mean, you can find all that tomorrow. Fear might
- 36:58keep you in a relationship because you're afraid of being alone.
- 37:01But I don't, I don't. I don't see the society
- 37:06going that way, you know. So she can do whatever
- 37:09she wants to you, even though because you you bring
- 37:13home all the income, because well, one, if she divorces,
- 37:16you shall take half your income. Second, if she, you know,
- 37:21decides she doesn't have to do anything because well why
- 37:25should she. She can take half your income, or she
- 37:27can just go find another version of you somewhere else,
- 37:31getting on a dating site. So the only women that
- 37:35are loyal, and they're not loyal to men, They're loyal
- 37:38to their lifestyle. It's just we live in a different world, man.
- 37:43It doesn't exist anymore. This whole idea of people being
- 37:47together forever doesn't exist anymore, you know, unfortunately. But hey,
- 37:54it's a good sign for you too though, you know. So, Yeah,
- 37:59that's my thought on that's the situation. This guy send me.
- 38:01This is what this guy send me okay, and I
- 38:03want you guys to keep it into perspective. Hey, roam,
- 38:06I make one hundred percent of the household income. All
- 38:08I ask my stay at home wife to do is
- 38:10have dinner ready when I come home. She always gets
- 38:12upset while cooking and purposely starts dinner twenty to thirty
- 38:15minutes after I get home. The catches. My son eats
- 38:18a different dinner before I get home. What are your
- 38:21thoughts on that? I think. I just want to tell
- 38:24you guys something okay, and I want you guys to
- 38:28be honest. You don't have to put up with it.
- 38:33You guys, do not have to put up with a
- 38:36woman who you don't get your wants and needs met from.
- 38:42Everybody has the conversation, honey, if she sits with her girlfriends,
- 38:48girlfriends will convince their other friends that you don't need
- 38:52that man. You don't need to put up with that man.
- 38:54You don't need this, You don't need that. You should
- 38:57never do that. Well, guys, that go the same way
- 39:00for you. If you're not happy in your marriage and
- 39:04you only ask a couple of things out of your wife,
- 39:08then leave. Don't be so scared. I mean finding a
- 39:13new woman in this world is simple. It's really that easy.
- 39:17It's not complicated. Unless you are a one hundred percent
- 39:21narcissistic jackass, you can still find a woman to go
- 39:26out with you. Okay, it's not that complicated. But if
- 39:31women can tell each other, you don't need to deal
- 39:33with his bs. Guys, you don't need to deal with
- 39:36her bs. There is another woman. If truly, if this
- 39:40guy all he asks of his wife is to make dinner,
- 39:44let me show you. Hey, good morning Rome. Let him
- 39:47know I won't mind having dinner ready while I stay
- 39:50at home for him. I can make different cultural cuisines.
- 39:56But that's real. That is real. Some women don't want
- 40:04to go to work, and making dinner for them is easy.
- 40:07That's all I got to do is make dinner. I
- 40:10don't know already four two five, four seven seven, But
- 40:13you guys need to understand, and you do not need
- 40:15to put up with it. Gornian Hot, what's going on?
- 40:19Speaker 4: Well, you know, darn well, that's not the only thing
- 40:22he asked her to do. I'm pretty sure that he
- 40:26wants the house clean, the dishes clean, the kids, taking
- 40:29care of the laundry clean.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you may be right. I don't know. I
- 40:34don't know, I don't know.
- 40:38Speaker 4: And I do have one particular friend who fiance is,
- 40:43who's the father of her early child. It's on my
- 40:45damn nerves with the stuff that he asks for her,
- 40:48Like he wants the house deep clean, and dinner deed
- 40:51and grocery done, and the kids taking care of But
- 40:54if you have a little boy who's very active, it's
- 40:57hard to do all those things when you're at home
- 40:59with your kids alone. Taking care of the households a
- 41:02whole job in itself.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Well, all agree with you about the kid throwing a
- 41:09wrinkle in it. But being as everybody was single at
- 41:14one point living in their homes who took care of
- 41:17their homes. Uh huh, that's all I'm saying. I had
- 41:24a house and was single, and I took care of
- 41:26all of it. So yeah, that's me.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Like I take care of my house. I'm a single parent,
- 41:31and I take care of my kid in the house
- 41:32and my job everything else. But it's like for a
- 41:35man to say, like all of that's the only thing
- 41:37I asked of her. No, he's just showing faith for
- 41:40the radio. That's not the only thing he asked for her.
- 41:42Speaker 7: Okay, and he's.
- 41:43Speaker 4: And it's no.
- 41:44Speaker 6: It's not a lot to ask, But if.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Their kid is on a separate diet that he needs
- 41:48to have a special meal, then she should make his
- 41:51meal when she's making her usbands. That way, he just
- 41:53pop it in the oven when he gets home.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Okay, A fair enough. You're calling him by I mean,
- 42:01I don't know he just you're right. Maybe he's saving
- 42:04face for the for the radio. I don't know what
- 42:08this guy says. It's kind of a funny thing. He says, Hey, Rome,
- 42:11I make one hundred percent of my household. I make
- 42:12one hundred percent of the household income. All I ask
- 42:15my stay at home wife to do is have dinner
- 42:17ready when I come home. She always gets upset while
- 42:20cooking and purposely starts dinner twenty to thirty minutes after
- 42:23I get home. The catches. My son eats a different
- 42:26dinner before I get home. What are your thoughts on
- 42:29the situation? Well, I think that she's doing it on
- 42:31purpose despite you, for some reason. Would you sit here, Hey, Rome,
- 42:37she doesn't love him. You might be right, I mean,
- 42:43she might not love you. But the thing about it is,
- 42:45you guys got to understand you don't. You don't have
- 42:47to put up with it. I mean, you don't. I know, you, guys,
- 42:51I don't know why men feel they have to put
- 42:54up with something they don't want and then when somebody
- 42:58does say I don't want this and they leave, they're
- 43:02the bad guy. You know you. Women are not all
- 43:05angels and perfect. Okay, you have problems and flaws and
- 43:13I don't know, man, you guys got to start recognizing
- 43:15that rolling out a rome. Relationships don't last anymore Rome
- 43:20because everyone has their own idea of unconditional love. Unconditional
- 43:26love is one of the worst justifications for a relationship.
- 43:32I don't believe in that. We'll talk about it in
- 43:36a minute. Good morning. How what's going on for me?
- 43:39Speaker 2: I think these women these days are just lazy.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Me on. I don't think they're lazy. I think they're entitled,
- 43:45and I think they're I think, well, I think a
- 43:50lot of people are entitled feel entitled today, so when
- 43:53they come to their relationships, they feel that they're owed
- 43:56more than their giving. And yeah that most.
- 44:01Speaker 9: Of them don't even know how to cook them.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Well, it's lady, they stop trying.
- 44:05Speaker 1: It's not about cooking. It's just about the fact that
- 44:09you if you and I were in a relationship, David,
- 44:12I felt like you owed me more than I'm actually
- 44:14giving you back in return. That's where the problem really lies.
- 44:18I think it's people feel they deserve more than they
- 44:22actually do.
- 44:23Speaker 9: I miss the old days in teen twenty the what
- 44:28I missed the old days, back back in the days
- 44:30when they had to listen, when they have to about
- 44:32down to us.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Oh, now they want.
- 44:34Speaker 2: To argue, and they feel entitled, like you said.
- 44:37Speaker 1: But I do what I think, it's not at all
- 44:44what I'm saying. But when you start to feel entitled
- 44:48to something that you don't deserve, that's what the problem.
- 44:53That's where the problem comes in relationships today. Okay, I mean,
- 44:58have you ever met he probably I'm going to give
- 45:02you an example of this. Have you've ever met an
- 45:04older woman who got up and made breakfast for her
- 45:07husband for thirty years while he worked, and then the
- 45:10minute he retires, she's like, I'm not doing that anymore,
- 45:14or she picks it, she decides when she's not gonna
- 45:17do that anymore. So now he's on his own, Like
- 45:21stay at home wives do that. This idea of entitlement
- 45:26that we live in right now, with well the internet
- 45:30and everything else that makes you feel like you need
- 45:32to give to get. I don't care what you say.
- 45:37You're not entitled to anything. You need to get what
- 45:42you give. If you give somebody respect, they need to
- 45:45give you respect back. It's that simple. So back to
- 45:51the unconditional love thing. You know, unconditional love is a
- 45:55justification for you to put up with things you shouldn't
- 45:59or you don't have to. Well, if you love me,
- 46:03you do this. Well, if you love me, you wouldn't
- 46:05ask me to do that. We could find a way
- 46:07where we both get what we want. But all of
- 46:10these people today feel entitled to something. I'm owed something
- 46:16from you even though I'm giving you nothing. Is that
- 46:21a way for a marriage to work? So a guy
- 46:25was saying he makes one hundred percent of his income
- 46:28and all he asks of his wife is to make
- 46:30dinner when he comes home, to have dinner ready when
- 46:32he gets home, she says, he says, she doesn't do it,
- 46:35she gets mad. Twenty to thirty minutes later, she'll start
- 46:38it or do it. And what do I think? I
- 46:41think that she's doing it out of spite for whatever reason.
- 46:43But also in turn, you're accepting it and staying there
- 46:46for it. I mean, when does she with your son?
- 46:53I mean, I don't know. I just you guys have
- 46:55to start understanding that you don't have to accept what
- 46:58these women do in the same way that women don't
- 47:01have to accept what you do. And at least their
- 47:04friends will tell them. I'm telling you as a friend
- 47:06for all you guys, if you're not excited or happy
- 47:09with what's going on in your marriage, then you can
- 47:13just as easy walk out of it. There's nothing wrong
- 47:16with that if you're not. And some things are some
- 47:21things you'll accept, but some things you want. If you're
- 47:24going to work ten hours a day and all you
- 47:26want is a dinner all you want, and then that's
- 47:29truly all you want is dinner, then there's thousands of
- 47:34women in Bakersfield that are willing to do that, thousands
- 47:38that would love to stay at home, not have to
- 47:40go to the grind every day and take care of
- 47:45you at dinner time. It's that simple already, four two, five, four,
- 47:50seven to seven, Hey, roam, she must not be a
- 47:53Mexican stay at home mom at a young age. Day
- 47:56install you make sure your husband has a warm plate
- 48:00as soon as you see his car pull up that driveway,
- 48:04even when you guys are mad at each other. But
- 48:07what's the option? I mean, isn't that for those people
- 48:12that want to live in what we would call a
- 48:15traditional marriage, an old school marriage. What are you going
- 48:21to do all that? You want him to go to
- 48:22work all day and then come home and make dinner.
- 48:27What are you doing? What are you contributing to that relationship?
- 48:32You know? I don't know, I mean, I don't know.
- 48:36The problem is things have got so convoluted with relationships
- 48:42over the last thirty years, with the Internet, with social media,
- 48:45with dating apps, with this idea of entitlement, and it's
- 48:49just not that's going down the wrong path.
- 48:53Speaker 6: Now.
- 48:53Speaker 1: I'm not saying one person needs to go to work
- 48:55and one person needs to stay home. That's not at
- 48:57all what I'm saying. I'm just saying that I think
- 49:01most people in there, I'll feel like they are owed
- 49:05more than their spouse. He owes me, she owes me
- 49:10for what I do? Well, okay, what does she do?
- 49:15What does he do? Already? Four two, five, four or
- 49:17seven to seven. So a guy was telling me he
- 49:22need one hundred percent of the income right, all he
- 49:25asked his wife is for dinner when he gets home.
- 49:28It's what he has said. Okay, you can believe him
- 49:30or not. He says, it doesn't happen, she'll be mad
- 49:35about it. Cook twenty to thirty minutes later. And what
- 49:38do you think already? Four? Two, five, four, seven to seven?
- 49:41Good morning? How what's going on?
- 49:42Speaker 4: Good morning, Romeo? How are you doing today?
- 49:44Speaker 1: I am doing absolutely fantastic sport.
- 49:49Speaker 3: I am a stay at home like I stay home.
- 49:52Speaker 6: We got married.
- 49:53Speaker 3: You've got married almost twenty five years since you got married.
- 49:56Speaker 6: I have not worked.
- 49:58Speaker 4: I stay home crazy.
- 50:00Speaker 3: He comes home to a clean house Monday through Friday and.
- 50:05Speaker 7: The laundry done, dinner done every time.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Every time he comes home, dinner is done. So before
- 50:13a couple of maybe two times ago, we started eating
- 50:15in the living room, and.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Then I realized we don't talk.
- 50:18Speaker 3: We're shitting down because it's just day me him.
- 50:21Speaker 7: We're shitting down watching.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Movies at eating, but we're not conversating. I said, okay,
- 50:25we gotta sucking this, so now we sit up the
- 50:28table now.
- 50:29Speaker 6: But he just talked about work, and I'm like, oh
- 50:31my god, I want to go back in the living.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Room and not come on, I'm interested, but truly I
- 50:37can give. Yeah, we still sit there and we still conversate.
- 50:43But I realized, he doesn't ask you about my day.
- 50:45I asked ny to ask them everything, and then he
- 50:49doesn't say anything. Tide of, I said, and let me
- 50:51tell you about my day, and then our air. He goes, Oh,
- 50:54I learned I better ask you about your day.
- 50:56Speaker 4: I said, yes, because I'll give.
- 50:57Speaker 7: You a home run down.
- 50:58Speaker 3: But yeah, if there a whole night, why make dinners
- 51:02that are very TV You don't have to make up
- 51:06months at hours. I'm now, I'm gonna go home and
- 51:09put on a pot of beans. I'm making potastic chili,
- 51:13right forgive it sounds easy, simple, It doesn't.
- 51:18Speaker 1: That sounds wrong or tough?
- 51:20Speaker 3: Ye, if they're going to just take care, do your
- 51:26portion and and then everything chilly filly. But I don't
- 51:31cook on the weekend, two weekends on my day's office.
- 51:34Speaker 1: I mean, and what's wrong with that? There's absolutely nothing
- 51:37wrong with that? Yeah, absolutely, I yeah, all right, perfect,
- 51:43thanks for coming. I appreciate it. And you see us
- 51:49you said that there's nothing wrong with that. I don't
- 51:52go to work on the weekend, So why should I
- 51:53Why should I cook on the weekends? That's for us
- 51:55to figure something else out. But that's what I mean though,
- 51:59like people feel entitled to It's like a guy will say,
- 52:03you know, all I want is her to make dinner? Okay?
- 52:07Is that because she should want to do that because
- 52:10she's a stay at home wife? Are you forcing her
- 52:12to do that because you feel like you work and
- 52:15you're entitled to a hot meal coming home made by
- 52:18this woman. The perspective of it is what you know
- 52:23changes how it plays out in your marriage. So I'm
- 52:29just saying, you guys all feel entitled to something and
- 52:33you're not really doing anything to deserve that, you know,
- 52:37just going to work every day to pay the bills.
- 52:40And I know I'm kind of switching it up on
- 52:42the guys right now, but just going to work every
- 52:45day to pay the bills does not entitle you to
- 52:49everything or anything, Okay, it doesn't. It doesn't mean you
- 52:55just get to come home and sit on the couch
- 52:57and do whatever you want while she runs around does everything.
- 53:01But on the flip side of that, why are you
- 53:05marrying a woman who doesn't want to, as that woman said,
- 53:08contribute in her own way? Towards your marriage, towards your
- 53:12household already four two, five, four or seven to seven,
- 53:17because now she feels entitled. Well, I don't have to
- 53:19do all this. I don't have to work, so I
- 53:20don't have to do anything. He makes all the money,
- 53:22he'll be fine. Okay. That's an entitlement also that women
- 53:27start to feel when they stay at home. I made
- 53:29dinner for this man for twenty years. I don't need
- 53:32to make it anymore. Why a guy text that says
- 53:35he makes one hundred percent of the income and all
- 53:39he wants is dinner when he gets home and she
- 53:41won't do it, or she does it twenty to thirty
- 53:43minutes late and complains about it. Okay, good morning hot.
- 53:47Oh and she's stayed home. Good morning, stayed home wife,
- 53:49Good morning hot. What's going on?
- 53:51Speaker 9: Hey, Romeo, I got something to add on that lady
- 53:54that cold earlier talking about.
- 53:57Speaker 2: You know, that's not all he asked of her to
- 53:59do and have to tell us she was single.
- 54:01Speaker 6: We knew she was.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Man. I I've been with my wife seventeen years.
- 54:07Speaker 4: We both work full time job.
- 54:08Speaker 2: She's a teacher. I work for the state, and it's
- 54:11give and take.
- 54:12Speaker 6: Man, she does things that.
- 54:14Speaker 2: That I asked her. I do things for her that
- 54:17she asks of me. It ain't that hard.
- 54:20Speaker 1: It's not that hard. You're absolutely right, it's not that hard.
- 54:23But well to day that all feel entitled, and it
- 54:27just makes it your relationship go to hell. If you
- 54:30feel like you're owed something from your spouse right now,
- 54:33then you got a real problem.
- 54:36Speaker 9: Now, I'm lucky enough that I could say, I'm I
- 54:39don't feel old and uh, and I don't believe my
- 54:41wife so she feels old either, you know, seventeen.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Years and you better, you better, you better text her
- 54:48and ask her, ask her that before you speak for her.
- 54:51Speaker 3: Okay, I'm a caller as soon as we get off
- 54:53the ninety four point one.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, you don't owe your spouse anything for
- 55:05a bunch of different reasons. One, you chose that person.
- 55:10Two you know you can't just one day go I've
- 55:15done enough in this relationship, because it's a relationship and
- 55:19it's always changing, it's always evolving. It should be. But
- 55:24if you're gonna sit here and say you owe me
- 55:26now because of X, Y and Z, or you owe
- 55:28me now because of this, your relationship's over. Man, and
- 55:33the entitlement is real. It's like a virus, this entitlement thing.
- 55:38You know, you owe me this? No, I don't I
- 55:43owe you that. No, you don't. We're grown adults who
- 55:48can make our own decisions and live our own lives.
- 55:50We don't have to be together. Problem is a lot
- 55:53of you guys don't see that. All right, I four
- 55:57two five four or seven to seven? Hey, roam. He
- 56:00shouldn't have to say all I want, all I want.
- 56:03It should come natural when your partner is the family provider.
- 56:07What does she want her man to come home and clean?
- 56:09Still excuses when that kid takes a nap, Stay off
- 56:13your phone and start cleaning. Well, that's the other thing.
- 56:18These phones have absolutely destroyed your relationship. And they are
- 56:24And how many of you know forty and fifty year
- 56:27old women that have phones and act like sixteen and
- 56:31seventeen year old girls. It's embarrassing. You know. Guys do
- 56:39it too, though. Those guys get on you guys get
- 56:41on your phones and all of a sudden, you you know,
- 56:44and and well, what do you want to do? You
- 56:49don't have to deal with it. You can leave, hey, Rome,
- 56:54to be fair, my wife does. Oh this is the guy.
- 56:57To be fair, my wife does clean and do laundry.
- 57:00The few times I have tried to help with laundry
- 57:02and cleaning, I get screamed at for doing it wrong.
- 57:06So I no longer volunteer to do it. I appreciate
- 57:08your thoughts on the sensitive topic. Romeo. Well, okay, maybe
- 57:16can she cook? Huh? Maybe that's why. Maybe you didn't
- 57:22ask her to do laundry. So maybe that's why she
- 57:24has no problem with it because you didn't ask her,
- 57:26tell her or whatever you however you put it. But
- 57:28you asked her for dinner.
- 57:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:31Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I don't know already four two five,
- 57:34four or seven to seven not what's going on?
- 57:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 57:38Speaker 1: What I mean?
- 57:40Speaker 9: Okay calling out of her U we're talking about on
- 57:42the radio longd about Uh you did the same thing. Yeah,
- 57:49about twenty five years he was working and she wasn't
- 57:52and now went to retired.
- 57:54Speaker 2: There's the engel he now.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Well that happens. They're still together.
- 58:06Speaker 9: Oh yeah, yeah, but uh it's like I don't know,
- 58:09it's uh, it's all you every day though. It's like, hey,
- 58:12so now they're live like that.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Now there's two old people being miserable with each other
- 58:16every day.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Because you like she, uh, she did everything all the
- 58:22time conformed, and that he works, but I don't work now,
- 58:24and then it's like, oh I don't do nothing now?
- 58:28Speaker 1: Wow? Well okay, all right. I mean sounds like a
- 58:34miserable existence, especially towards the end of your life. I mean,
- 58:38that's the one thing you guys, And I say this
- 58:39all the time, and I know a lot of you
- 58:41guys are gonna think it's very uh morbid, But you're
- 58:45gonna die. Why live your life miserable? Why you want?
- 58:52You see some of these people who figure it out
- 58:55and then they're the bad person. Oh they left, We
- 58:58broke up at sixty, we got divorced. It's oh my god,
- 59:01how can you do that? Because I didn't want to
- 59:02live the next thirty years of my life miserable? Why
- 59:06would you want to do that? It's just stupid? Alrighty
- 59:11four two four or seven to seven? Hey, roam. The
- 59:14new age of women don't want a traditional marriage. They
- 59:17like an idea, they like the idea of it, but
- 59:21they're heavily influenced by social media and these false realities. Yeah,
- 59:25that's fine, but there's nothing wrong with that. The problem is,
- 59:31if that's if that's what the new age of women is,
- 59:33and I'm just going to give you that one. Okay,
- 59:37don't go out with those women. They're not all like that.
- 59:41You guys have a big, big, false sense of reality
- 59:45when it comes to the internet. But you guys are
- 59:49all out there dating on the internet and then wondering
- 59:51why you get this new age woman who's entitled to
- 59:54everything and you're supposed to get why is your why
- 59:57explain to me this, Okay, why is it you owe
- 1:00:06her everything when you just started going out with her
- 1:00:11or you just started a relationship with her. Why do
- 1:00:14you guys accept that? I mean, I know why you
- 1:00:16accept it, but why do you guys accept it? You
- 1:00:20don't have to date them. That's the one thing I
- 1:00:23think everybody is missing right now. I don't have to
- 1:00:27date you. I don't have to marry you. I also
- 1:00:32can't marry you or date you. I can also leave you.
- 1:00:39But you guys don't seem to understand those are all options.
- 1:00:42Nobody's for seeing you to be with somebody. And as
- 1:00:48much as you think this person that you want them
- 1:00:52to do something for you that they don't want to do.
- 1:00:56Guess what there's a million other women out there that
- 1:00:59want to do that for you. That's where the problem lies.
- 1:01:05So whether you're just afraid that you may not find
- 1:01:09that person, which you will find them. They're out there.
- 1:01:13They may not be on social media, but they might
- 1:01:15be it. I don't know. Pick your bar and restaurant
- 1:01:18where people go. That's the problem, and that's your problem,
- 1:01:26all right. I fororts you fat for seven to seven.
- 1:01:30So to blame women like you said this new age women.
- 1:01:34To blame women is wrong because you don't have to
- 1:01:38go out with those women, and there's less of those
- 1:01:43women than there are women in the real world. All right,
- 1:01:48imports you seven to seven? Hey, what's up?
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: How you're talking about the women?
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: Couldie a man?
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: WI work?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Right? Well? Yeah, that's how to die text of the.
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: Okay. So I've been with my husband as we were fifteen,
- 1:02:07we are now forty. Okay, We've gone everything possible.
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: I've worked at home.
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: I mean I've stayed at home the majority of it.
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: He didn't have to ask me to do anything.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: It was just something that I already was. You know,
- 1:02:22I'm supposed to do as his wife. And now I'm
- 1:02:26going back to work. He worked and it's just a
- 1:02:30team effort. I still come home from work, picking up
- 1:02:33the kids, good dinner, and while I'm cooking, he's helping
- 1:02:37our kids with homework. It's the work. It's a work
- 1:02:41for our relationship. It's yeah, sixteen work and we're forty.
- 1:02:47So we've been with each other most of our life.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Let me ask you this question. Let me ask you
- 1:02:52this question. When you work and when you didn't work,
- 1:02:55did he have to do as much as home at home?
- 1:02:58In your mind?
- 1:03:01Speaker 7: Absolutely not? Because we have boys. Okay, we already had
- 1:03:04two boys.
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: Boys came in, took out trash, help, so you know,
- 1:03:15I relied garden.
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: I relied on my kids to help out like they
- 1:03:20had tours.
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: We had a routine. And talk about.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Apparently you didn't do as much at home either, because
- 1:03:29you hit the I did.
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: I did. I you know I had.
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: I had a luxury of both. I have, you know,
- 1:03:37able to stay.
- 1:03:37Speaker 10: Home with my kids, help out in sporativities all we
- 1:03:41could stay there. And now that I'm in the work,
- 1:03:45going to work, picking up, dropping off, I'd rather be at.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: Work because it's so much work to stay at home.
- 1:03:52It is so much work, because you know, I we
- 1:03:55were young, we had a family of three. Well, we're
- 1:03:58a family of five by the time we were twenty four.
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: Well, so okay, you know, like we had I didn't
- 1:04:06have my moather and all.
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: I didn't have my mom to come in house.
- 1:04:10Speaker 10: It relied all slowly on me and my kids were
- 1:04:12back to back. So yes, I do have boys that
- 1:04:16helped out, but for the majority of the part, it
- 1:04:19was teamwork. Like I didn't expect him to come home
- 1:04:22and do all kinds of crazy stuff around the house
- 1:04:25when I knew Hardy had a backbreaking job he was
- 1:04:28in construction.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I appreciate the phone call, you know, thank you.
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: I just feel now people our relationships, they don't want.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: To put in the work.
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: It's a lot of work.
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: Me and him again have been together since we were fifteen.
- 1:04:44We dealt with a lot of stuff and it's work
- 1:04:47and a lot of relationships.
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: Now don't want to do that.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Well, thanks for god. I appreciate it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: Thank you, bye.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: And I think she's right, but I think to frame
- 1:04:59it twenty twenty six is she called it work and
- 1:05:04that's really what it was. It was work. Okay, Now
- 1:05:08she's right, but you feel entitled. You people feel like
- 1:05:13you don't have to put in the work anymore. You
- 1:05:16feel like you don't even have to get Generations today right,
- 1:05:20I'll say millennials to today. They don't feel like they
- 1:05:25have to put in any work to reap the rewards. Okay,
- 1:05:30remember when that was what you learned, work hard, you
- 1:05:33get rewarded, right, Kids today don't feel that way. Young
- 1:05:38couples today don't feel that way. They don't feel like
- 1:05:40they have to work to reap the rewards of work.
- 1:05:46They just feel entitled to the rewards.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: What was old?
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: What was that old statement? You were? You were born
- 1:05:52on third thought, you hit a triple. That's where you
- 1:05:57are today with relationships. And unfortunately, though some of you
- 1:06:04old school cats I mean obviously not her, but some
- 1:06:08of you older people are starting to feel like, well,
- 1:06:10wait a second, I was wrong. I think that's what
- 1:06:14the problem is now with these forty you know, millennials
- 1:06:16or forty year olds. But you get to these fifty
- 1:06:18year olds, these sixty year olds who are getting divorced
- 1:06:21or who are miserable in their marriages because now they
- 1:06:24feel entitled. Okay, well I did all the work and
- 1:06:30now I got this new generation of cell phone social
- 1:06:35media telling me that I'm entitled to all this. You're
- 1:06:39still not. You're still not. That's why you are. But
- 1:06:46on the flip side of that, being single at sixty
- 1:06:50is not bad. There are a lot people are staying,
- 1:06:53People are looking better longer, people are staying, are more
- 1:06:57physically fit, longer, forties, their fifties. Dating the dating game
- 1:07:03for forty or a forty to sixty year old or
- 1:07:06a fifty and sixty year old is pretty good right now.
- 1:07:12So we got all kinds of problems with relationships and
- 1:07:15until you guys understand what I'm telling you, you're not
- 1:07:20going to be happy. If you're not happy right now?
- 1:07:23What did you send me here? Yo, rome preach to them.
- 1:07:27We need to start calling you professor doctor Romeo. You
- 1:07:31need to to write a book on all this stuff.
- 1:07:34You always hitting the nail right on the head when
- 1:07:37it comes down to life's problems. Well, I know, I
- 1:07:41appreciate you saying that. I appreciate you saying that, Hey,
- 1:07:45rome what if you both work, should a man still
- 1:07:48help clean and help with the kids. Of course he should.
- 1:07:51I mean, if you're both working, then you both should
- 1:07:54you be doing things around the house, you know. Yeah,
- 1:07:57of course, no, that's not that. I'm not even saying
- 1:08:01that if you don't work that you should be doing
- 1:08:04everything around the house. That's not what I don't think
- 1:08:07that's what I'm saying. But there's probably some fun. Here's
- 1:08:11the thing, and I'm gonna tell you this right now,
- 1:08:14and I'm gonna be completely honest with you. If you
- 1:08:18are a man that goes to work and you have
- 1:08:22a stay at home wife, or you know, a wife
- 1:08:24and mother, or you just have a whatever, stay at
- 1:08:28home woman, right and she does not want to cook
- 1:08:31for you, she's the wrong woman. She should want to
- 1:08:36do it for you. You shouldn't have to tell her,
- 1:08:39you shouldn't have to ask her. She should want to
- 1:08:42do it for you because it's loving, you know, because
- 1:08:48she should love you and care about you and want
- 1:08:50to understand. Hey, he's out working ten hours a day.
- 1:08:54Maybe I want to do this for him, Okay, And
- 1:09:01just like you should want to do things for her,
- 1:09:03you know, all right? Four seven to seven? What was
- 1:09:11the question here?
- 1:09:15Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I didn't Sorry, I didn't get to your question yet,
- 1:09:18but let me get to it. I'll get to a
- 1:09:21next something about fifty to fifty. All right, what was
- 1:09:23this fifty to fifty thing you told me about? Hey, Rome,
- 1:09:26what about this Rome? Me and my husband go fifty
- 1:09:28to fifty on all the bills. He expects me to
- 1:09:31still come home Monday through Friday and have a home
- 1:09:34cooked meal even after I work. After I work to
- 1:09:37pay bills. I'm tired too, but he still feels entitled,
- 1:09:40even though I'm pulling the same amount of effort to
- 1:09:43have these bills paid. Now, I don't mind cooking dinner,
- 1:09:47but I shouldn't have to do it every single day,
- 1:09:49as well as clean and keep up with the house
- 1:09:52to make sure everything is good. Oh you said, dang,
- 1:09:56I didn't hear your responsorble Oh, I just got to
- 1:09:58your question right now. No, you're You're right, But then again,
- 1:10:02this is coming from a guy. I don't believe any
- 1:10:03any woman should have to pay bills. I don't believe
- 1:10:07I think a man should should take care of all
- 1:10:09the bills, all the all the living expenses, house utilities,
- 1:10:14things like living expenses. Okay, and if she works, she
- 1:10:19can spend her money on whatever the hell she wants
- 1:10:21to spend her money on. That's what I think. But
- 1:10:25if you're gonna go fifty to fifty, then yeah, then
- 1:10:28it's I If that's how you've determined your relationship to be,
- 1:10:32then your husband needs to do just as much at
- 1:10:35home because you've chose to go fifty to fifty on
- 1:10:37the bills and you got to go fifty to fifty
- 1:10:39at home too. Okay, But the problem is, I don't know.
- 1:10:44You should want to do stuff. You know. That's you guys,
- 1:10:48A lot of you guys. This entitlement is so ridiculous,
- 1:10:53the entitlement. It's just so sad that you feel like
- 1:10:56you're entitled to something. Okay, I just work ten hours
- 1:10:59a day, I mean titled to come home to a
- 1:11:02hot meal because my wife doesn't work. Okay, what if
- 1:11:07she wants to go out to dinner? I mean it
- 1:11:10just there are things that happen that you you want
- 1:11:17her to be that Like, if you just got you
- 1:11:19work ten hours a day, right, you don't really want
- 1:11:23to go out to dinner after that. She should want
- 1:11:27to cook a meal for you and her, I mean
- 1:11:29you and him whatever. She should want to cook a meal.
- 1:11:33She shouldn't feel obligated or have to, but she should
- 1:11:37want to. That's the problem. It's this idea of entitlement
- 1:11:42that all of you have. Let's see here, hey, roam.
- 1:11:46The sad part is even wait, what did you send
- 1:11:50me here?
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: The sad part is even if he wants to leave her,
- 1:11:55he's screwed in the end. He just said that he's
- 1:11:58the sole income she's gonna get child supports And you
- 1:12:01guys got to get that out of your head too.
- 1:12:02I knew that was gonna come up. You got be
- 1:12:05a man. And that's why I'm speaking directly to man
- 1:12:07when I say this. You choose to stay, you choose
- 1:12:11to be involved in that relationship, so you get what
- 1:12:13you get.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: Be a man.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Figure it out. What's worth more your happiness or paying
- 1:12:22child support? That's the stupidity. You're a man. You should
- 1:12:26always be able to go make more money. So to me,
- 1:12:32that's a cop out. And I know I get it.
- 1:12:37You're gonna argue with me, but I just your happiness
- 1:12:41has gotta be worth more already four two seven seven,
- 1:12:48Hey Rome, Do you believe that the grass is greener
- 1:12:53on the other side?
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: You mean when it pertains the relationships?
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: I do.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I believe that it can be if you're in a
- 1:13:02bad relationship right now, or you're in a relationship where
- 1:13:06we live. She use this guy an example, he says,
- 1:13:09and I'm just going based on solely what he says.
- 1:13:11He brings in one hundred percent of the income. All
- 1:13:14he wants is his wife to cook dinner for him,
- 1:13:17have a hot meal when he gets home. She won't
- 1:13:19do it, she complains, she'll start at twenty to thirty
- 1:13:22minutes after she gets he gets home. He did say,
- 1:13:27she does laundry and cleans, so, but he wants a
- 1:13:32hot meal. So for him, yes, the grass is greener.
- 1:13:36There's absolutely a woman out there, in fact, they've texted
- 1:13:41that would totally make him dinner every night when he
- 1:13:45gets home from work, to be a stay at home wife.
- 1:13:49So for him, yes, the grass can be greener. The
- 1:13:51problem is, you guys, go out and look for something
- 1:13:56that is exactly what you are in right now. That's
- 1:13:59that's for that. That saying the grass isn't always greener
- 1:14:03or isn't greener is because you leave something to go
- 1:14:10to the exact same relationship. You'll leave one relationship to
- 1:14:13go to the exact same relationship, and then you go, well,
- 1:14:18the grass wasn't greener. Well, it can be if you
- 1:14:22if you change what you want, if you change your
- 1:14:26thought process on how you want to get what you want,
- 1:14:29or you know, don't go get the same type of
- 1:14:31person that made you miserble to begin with. That's why,
- 1:14:35that's why these stupid sayings, when you guys bring them
- 1:14:37up to me, they're just so dumb. Yes, the grass
- 1:14:41can and always there can. You can find somebody better
- 1:14:45than the person you're with. Do you want to? I
- 1:14:48don't know.
- 1:14:50Speaker 8: Not.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: If it's good, your relationships going good right now and
- 1:14:53it's great, why would you want to try to find
- 1:14:55somebody better everything's good right now or everything is good
- 1:14:59you're a happy, good relationship. But yes, if you're in
- 1:15:03a relationship that's not great for whatever reasons, yes you
- 1:15:07can go find somebody better. Absolutely, you can be in
- 1:15:11the happiest relationship that you've ever been in and still
- 1:15:14go find somebody better. But why would you.
- 1:15:18Speaker 8: So?
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Yes, the grass is greener throbo in the
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Morning, every morning morning ninety four point one
