- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics and healthcare with
- 0:02Speaker 1: Balance Life Chiropractic, And we have the turkey herself, Doctor Harley.
- 0:06Speaker 2: How you doing, because I've never been called a turkey.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Thanksgiving is tomorrow. I don't know what I was.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I didn't know. We got turkey on the mine.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Yes, so, and you guys have special hours, so the
- 0:17Speaker 1: rest of this week they can't stop in. But the
- 0:19Speaker 1: good news is they can come and see you next.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Week, right right, We'll be back open on Monday.
- 0:22Speaker 1: On Monday, all right, very very good. So now we've
- 0:25Speaker 1: talked about trip to Fan in the past, so we'll
- 0:26Speaker 1: mention that a little bit here because tomorrow a lot
- 0:28Speaker 1: of people are gonna be eating turkey and then they're
- 0:30Speaker 1: gonna get tired. That's like an interesting process how that
- 0:32Speaker 1: all works, isn't it? Right?
- 0:33Speaker 2: Tripped a fan and Turkey always seem to get the
- 0:36Speaker 2: blame for it, but really it's just the massive amount
- 0:39Speaker 2: of food that we always seem to eat at Thanksgiving.
- 0:42Speaker 1: So if I eat a whole bunch of ham, I
- 0:43Speaker 1: would get tired too, right, Because.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Basically it's your your digestive systems, like whoa, there's a
- 0:48Speaker 2: lot in here. We need to slow everything else down,
- 0:52Speaker 2: just digest so we can break this down and get
- 0:54Speaker 2: it through the system faster. So yeah, that's where you know,
- 0:56Speaker 2: you kind of feel more tire and more sluggish because
- 0:59Speaker 2: your body's like, yeah, a lot, we got it. We
- 1:00Speaker 2: got a lot of work to do, so we need
- 1:01Speaker 2: to conserve energy. Yeah, put it all in the stomach
- 1:04Speaker 2: to digest all that food.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Very very nice. See, so if you don't eat as much,
- 1:08Speaker 1: you won't.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Be as tired, right, and then you have more leftovers, yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 2: and have later in the.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Day or Yeah, I'm starting a new diet because I've
- 1:14Speaker 1: been doing this carnivore diet, which is cool, but I
- 1:16Speaker 1: decided I'm going to start a turkey diet and it's
- 1:19Speaker 1: going to be, you know, you heat it up, just
- 1:20Speaker 1: cold turkey diet. It's gonna be a really hard diet
- 1:22Speaker 1: to quit. So funny, I'm so dumb. So let's talk
- 1:28Speaker 1: about it is cold out this time of year, and
- 1:30Speaker 1: there are people who this last week, all of a sudden,
- 1:33Speaker 1: it's like single digits and they're getting chilly. And but
- 1:36Speaker 1: that that has an effect on our bodies too, doesn't it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Right, the last couple of weeks, I've been getting a
- 1:40Speaker 2: lot of patients like, well, this just started hurting. Like
- 1:43Speaker 2: it's been fine. I didn't really do anything. Why does
- 1:46Speaker 2: everything hurt so much right now? A lot of it
- 1:49Speaker 2: is this time of year. It just things start getting colder.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So one, yeah, you're bundled up more, you're shivering. We're
- 1:55Speaker 2: not like our muscles aren't warm and ready to go.
- 1:58Speaker 2: If we are doing a weekend warrior p you know, shopping,
- 2:02Speaker 2: you name it, We're doing a lot more stuff like
- 2:04Speaker 2: that that we just aren't physically ready for because it
- 2:06Speaker 2: is so much colder. You know, we're not necessar say,
- 2:09Speaker 2: oh need warm up and stretch before I go do
- 2:11Speaker 2: these things. Yeah, well if you don't, that's when, like
- 2:13Speaker 2: you know, the next couple of days, things are really
- 2:15Speaker 2: going to start hurting again. Plus, you know all the
- 2:18Speaker 2: weather changes, cold fronts, pressure, barometric changes, all that stuff,
- 2:23Speaker 2: our body really starts to. Let us know, when we
- 2:25Speaker 2: get older, especially you already have some inflammation and your joints,
- 2:28Speaker 2: that pressure change really causes a lot more inflammation because
- 2:32Speaker 2: there's more pressure in the joints at that point.
- 2:34Speaker 1: If somebody would like some assistance with that, now, chiropractic
- 2:37Speaker 1: can do a lot what what can chiropractic do for that?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Is there much you can do?
- 2:42Speaker 2: Right? You know, chiropractic can help with some of those
- 2:44Speaker 2: everyday aches and pains and making sure that things are
- 2:46Speaker 2: in proper alignment, helping reduce some of that pressure in
- 2:49Speaker 2: the joint space. So when we do have the weather
- 2:51Speaker 2: moving in, there's you know, there's somewhere for that pressure
- 2:54Speaker 2: to go, so it's not just you know, causing everything
- 2:56Speaker 2: else to increase more in pressure.
- 2:58Speaker 1: If somebody listening would like to reach out, I know
- 3:00Speaker 1: again this week with Thanksgiving is a little different, but
- 3:03Speaker 1: typically you guys are here most of the time. How
- 3:05Speaker 1: do they get in touch with you and how do
- 3:06Speaker 1: they set an appointment? Right?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah, this week, Yeah, it's kind of a different week.
- 3:10Speaker 2: But Monday through Thursday we take new patient appointments. You
- 3:12Speaker 2: can give us a call at six year O five
- 3:14Speaker 2: two one five one seven eight five or reach out
- 3:17Speaker 2: to us on our Facebook page at Balanced Life Chiropractic.

- 3:22Speaker 1: them on the internet, you can look up their website

- 3:33Speaker 1: were talking about. We save this every week as a
