  buddies and as soon as I wake up, they're all talking about

  illegal betting activity which to me I'm.

  basically brought back to being illegal and I have a completely

  the Cliffs Notes version. Terry Rozier, who's been under

  investigation for two years at this point by the NBA, was.

  Federally charged and arrested. For basically not point shaving.

  But throwing player props? Where the sports bettors?

  Somehow got word or Terry Rozier told them, hey, I'm not going to

  play well tonight or I'm going to.

  Fake an injury I'm. Going to fake an.

  Illness. So you know what you should do?

  This is illegal activity, playing these poker games, but

  then it's also got like an Ocean's 11 type situation

  Scheme to bring people in. To to these poker.

  Unbelievable what they did. Basically they had an.

  X-ray machine. De facto X-ray machine.

  Underneath the poker table that would read the.

  In the in the chips little container, the thing that holds

  your chips. And they would have these

  basically these, these shuffling like when you put the the cards.

  Instead of shuffling. By hand.

  You put them in this little shuffling machine and it would.

  Shuffle the cards. I'm not totally, I don't totally

  get it, but it would shuffle them in a way where you kind of

  knew what the next card would be.

  And then somehow there was someone.

  So obviously this is not a good. Thing for sports betting overall

  and why is this? Close to me because this is my

  livelihood. This is.

  Working in the sports betting industry starting in 20. 11

  before paspo was. Overturned.

  When sports betting was illegal, the only place you could bet.

  Was Vegas. Or maybe you could do it in

  Atlantic City and then obviously you had offshore sports books

  then stroke of luck. You know my career.

  Really took off when? Sports betting was legalized

  when passport was overturned in 2018 and now.

  My whole point is teaching this data.

  Driven method. Tilt betters win because I

  remember when I was a new. Sports better.

  How much I loved it, but how much I lost and how?

  Difficult. It was so my whole, you know,

  point of being a sports. Betting analyst and author.

  don't want to see sports betting get brought back into the

  shadows. I don't think that's going to

  happen. But we're seeing.

  All over. And you know what's big?

  When like CNN is is. Carrying the press conference.

  And people who don't know. Anything about sports are

  talking about it like I saw. This one guy explain.

  What a prop that was and he like.

  Totally, you know, screwed it up, but the point being is now

  sports betting the NBA, it's it's.

  Getting a black eye right now. But here's where I flip it a

  little bit. As bad as this all is, I think

  it's actually a good thing. And why do I think it's a good?

  and I want to make sure that legalize sports betting

  continues. For my own life, my own career,

  because think of it this way prior to sports betting being

  legalized in 2018. This stuff happened all the time

  and we never heard about it. Because sports betting was in

  the shadows, it was unregulated. It wasn't tracked ever since 20.

  There was no oversight. It was in the shadows.

  lot. Of shady things happening now,

  Regulated and it's monitored. And I think that's a good thing
